i might say this every chapter but how do i get myself a hwang yeji. seriously. i will never get tired of how perfect but humanly she is.

they def go about it differently! (and similarly in a way, they both seem to think making a plan is the best way to get with someone lol) but yeah i think the ways they're approaching it are impacted both by how they are as people and by what they assume the other wants when maybe they should try meeting in the middle! idk!

aaah thank you!!! i really actively try to strike that balance between dialogue, setting, action, and introspection! i read through and edit my chapters like 10+ times and i'm always adding and tweaking and trying to make it all nice and smooth so yay glad it's working :) honestly writing this has been very fun and nostalgic! i'm basing SoCo off of my time at a small liberal arts college if that wasn't very clear, and it's honestly been a blast writing about that! Okay so. People who have followed me for a while probably know this but to new friends and mutuals and the like here is the August breakdown.

At the end of August are the anniversary dates of 1.) My dads birthday, 2.) My mom and dads wedding anniversary, and 3.) The day my dad passed away from cancer. All in one week! I was 2 weeks away from being 2 years old when it happened, and 23 years later it still feels like an open wound. And your body has muscle memory for grief yknow? So it hurts so much worse every August. My mom and sisters and i all get so depressed,, we try to make the best of things and celebrate his life how we can but it's so hard. It's so sososo hard. I honestly can't talk about him at all without sobbing (Currently crying as I type this up even 😭)

Please understand that August is an extremely hard time for my family, and because of that I may be online very little- or maybe I'll be on a lot more than usual! I really don't know! I don't know what will end up being best so we will see.

That being said I always joke that August is "birthday prep month" because of my birthday on September 17th- of which I also have some trauma surrounding that date as well (my first psych ward visit was late at night on the 16th- spent my 13th birthday in the ward) so expect me to be like. Annoying about being excited for my birthday? It's how I counteract the extreme amounts of negative emotions surrounding the next couple of weeks. Oh also especially becus this year on September 16th marks an official 10 years since my last psych ward visit so like. Yea!! That's what's going on !!!!

drabble 25 was definitely a turning point in the story! i really liked seeing jungkooks perspective on things since we already know what oc has been thinking and its kinda nice to see that the feelings are mutual on both ends! or well i hope they are … who knows with these two 😵‍💫

the scene between areum and him literally made my heart flutter sm 😭 he kept thinking abt oc even though he was with one of his little girlfriends and was super hesitant to kiss her or even call her baby! hes growing a soft spot for oc and doesnt know how to deal with it :((

the next few drabbles honestly broke my heart into a billion tiny pieces. i kinda knew it was gonna happen but i didnt expect it to hurt me this much 😭 i dont know if anyone else mentioned this but drabble 27 really reminds me of 10 things i hate abt you (the movie) when kat was reading her poem to the class! he doesnt really hate oc but hes confused on these new feelings he has for her and doesnt know what to do :(( he doesnt wanna accept the fact that he does love her so he resorts to hating her instead since all he knows is to avoid that feeling!

the start of drabble 28 😳 i seriously thought i missed a chapter! im happy we get to see more of taehyung and ocs friendship as well as her and yoongis. theyre all so adorable with each other and i wont lie but i do have a soft spot for yoongi … jungkook pls come back hes stealing your girl and your readers!

finally i can talk abt drabble 29 :D it was so cute and wholesome and my soft little heart couldnt take it 😭 definitely one of my favorite chapters! jungkook was such a boyfriend in this update and he even has a toothbrush at her place now! as you can see im very happy oc gave jungkook another chance … lets hope he doesnt fuck it up 🤞🏼

honestly did not expect to see so many votes from those who are fans of the variant/the series, considering most of my followers/mutuals tend to be anti loki series or are at least critical of it.

but this was actually really interesting, and i’m happy i could reach so many people regardless! i loved reading everyone’s thoughts. thank you to everyone who participated 😁

like i mentioned in some of my rbs, i would only be interested in seeing loki again if the old directors/writers (pre ragnarok) came back, if he had a storyline that actually made sense, and obviously if his characterization from ragnarok would be corrected. or if miraculously, it was tdw loki who somehow came back and like.. loki’s appearances in ragnarok/iw were retconned. i don’t know how or why any of that would even happen, but i’m that desperate.

i really can’t stand the current state of the mcu and it’s recent projects. i’ve only really liked (liked, not loved) a few things that came out these past few years. but as much as i don’t want to admit it, surviving off of not a whole lot of screen time from 3 movies all from 10+ years ago that you’ve seen so many times kind of uh. Sucks. UGH?:&2);&2!: i just miss loki so bad i really wish there was some kind of miracle and he would come back!! 😭💔 being a loki fangirl who hates anything after 2013 is so lonely tbh. you see so many others praising the series and taking it as accurate to loki’s character, when you’re still stuck in 2011 - 2013… and when you explain to others why you hate the series, they just don’t understand...

No one is surprised my fave counselors are Dylan and Kaitlyn. They can do no wrong they will live in my head forever.

Least fave?? Ehh... honestly this is one of those things where when I replay the actual game, there are characters who annoy me but when I'm interacting with the fandom I love those same characters and they're my beautiful babies.

So I guess if I had to pick some it would be Jacob and Laura. Don't get me wrong I love them in the fandom but like I said, when I replay the game I find myself getting irked by their writing. Y'all fanfic writers are too good tbh. Giving me unrealistic expectations.

CHAPTER NINE and yes entirely for the scrapyard scene. Best sequence of the whole game hands down.

Least fave would probs be chapter 7. Like it was obviously an exposition chapter but it definitely coulda been more interesting. Laura and Max escaping and making their plan woulda been fun to play instead of it ending as soon as it got interesting 😭 the Laura/Ryan/Travis scene at the end of chapter 10 also sucked ass. I've made my peace with the ending being Garbo but I'll still say it.

Just like everyone else, Radioheads and blygbank. Absolute babes. Can't get enough of them. I need to eat the content.

I would have been right there with Dylan overthinking and bringing up stuff from horror movies Ive seen and comparing it to the situation I'm in.

And I'd also befriend Kaitlyn and hide behind her so I think she'd do all the work keeping me safe tbh. Although I do have a really good aim not to brag 💅 I clean up at those shooting games at fair and carnivals and I can throw axes with accuracy so maybe I'd be fine 😌🤌

Aftershock Day 2 recap!!

First, the bands I saw: Set It Off, Motionless In White, Falling In Reverse, Apocalyptica, Gwar, and Kiss

My dad and I had planned to see Archetypes Collide, but we ended up getting to the venue too late due to a bad parking situation. Rather than catch the last 10 minutes of their set, we opted to get close for Set It Off. Set It Off was SO MUCH FUN! I was jumping and singing for most of their set. Cody has soooo much energy, and it definitely pumped up the crowd. I touched the setlist when he threw it, but wasn't able to catch it 😭. I'm so sad about that. My dad was close to catching a drum stick, but would've had to (in his words) "push some Ashley sized chicks", and he understandably didn't want to be an aggressive jerk.

It was so damn hot during Motionless In White. Totally worth it though. Luckily, the crowd was fairly chill where I was, so there wasn't any extra body heat or sweat being transferred lol. I was disappointed they didn't perform Voices, but they covered Somebody Told Me by The Killers, and that was really cool! I had a good time during them, despite trying not to be too active to preserve my energy. My biggest issue was that there was a little kid on someone's shoulders, and crowdsurfers kept getting pushed toward him. The kid got kicked! I was so pissed to see that. The kid ended up leaving the crowd, and I felt so bad. Beyond that, because I feel like this paragraph is just complaints, I had a great time!! Chris Motionless is awesome, so just seeing him again was nice. We got a lot closer this time too!

My dudes. Falling In Reverse was incredible. I've been wanting to see them for years. They were at the festival one of the other years I went, but I was out voted and didn't get to see them. I went HARD for them. I was screaming all of the lyrics, jumping around like crazy, and headbanging majorly. I was soooo drained after their set, but it was entirely worth it. I had an amazing time. The band sounded great, and I enjoyed how they interacted with the crowd. It was also fun to hear my dad yelling along to a couple songs. I was trying to recover a little during Voices In My Head, because I was super sweaty and not feeling 100%, but then I heard my dad yelling every lyric behind me. He's a really recent fan, so I was glad he had such a good time as well.

Omg Apocalyptica was insane. As a cellist, I just have to say those dudes are gods. I was in awe of them. I love the band, but seeing them live took my love to another level. I actually stood their with my jaw dropped for a minute, because I couldn't believe the talent I was witnessing. They were also the only band in the last 2 days that I saw with my brother, so it was nice to be able to experience that with him.

My dad and I took a break to eat and sit down after Apocalyptica. Afterwards, we decided to check out Gwar. They always draw huge crowds, and we've heard that their performances are insane. We were disappointed to say the least. For one, we just weren't super into their gimmick. Like they looked cool, but the theme of their songs and conversations didn't vibe with us. They also made really tasteless commentary about Ukraine, so we left. We will not being checking them out again should they return to the festival.

Kiss was tonight's headliner. I am admittedly not a Kiss fan. I went in with fairly low expectations. Sorry to my Kiss mutuals. They surprised me. The crowd was really into it, and they had a good vibe. I definitely am not a converted fan by any means. I will likely never willingly listen to their music again, but I didn't hate what I heard. I also had a really good view of the stage despite my dad and I making no effort to actually get into the crowd. I watched about half of the set before leaving. Honestly I only stayed that long because my dad was clearly having a great time, and I didn't wan to ruin that. My feet were tired though, and everyone around us was smoking. Even with my mask, I couldn't stop coughing. I ended up leaving and hanging out with my brother. That was way more enjoyable.

Highs and lows of Kiss: The guitar solos were cool! Solos aren't too common of an occurrence, especially such long ones, so I liked them. On the flip side, I hated just about everything related to Gene Simmons. His tongue, and everything he did with it, grossed me out. He had so much saliva dripping from his mouth and from his microphone. It was disgusting.

that i somehow started writing fantasy aus and couldn't stop??? i had only ever written one before (good omens au for malec) and it's my only unfinished story, so it was a nice surprise to see that i can apparently write fantasy (which is a relief, considering it's my favorite genre)
