Hi I’m new to tumblr so I’m not sure how you normally post on here but I wanted to try posting some sketches of earth from tsams! I’m not the best with anatomy so I won’t lie I did trace over some photos (REAL PHOTOS NOT ART) I found on Pinterest and modified the proportions to fit my design, but I’m trying to improve lol. For now I just rlly wanted to flesh out my design for earth which I couldn’t do while my anatomy looked like crap 😭 all the full body ones I used references for but the one in the right corner was all me so I’ve got that to my name at least 💪 I’ll include my “reference” pictures as well :> and below the pics is an explanation of the design because I love to gush about this kind of thing. Fair warning, it’s pretty long LMAO

Hehe now it’s time for me to gush about my lil design 😈

So the first major difference you probably noticed (aside from body shape) is the very fluffy clothing I have her in. The leg warmers and… fingerless gloves? Leg warmers that she put on her arms? Idk what the arm ones are called but yk what I’m talking about lol. When I first noticed earths little rainbow headband my brain immediately said “80’s workout videos”. The big hair, the rainbow headband, it just immediately jumped ot at me and stuck. I decided to give her oversized leg warmers in that same rainbow pattern because it made me sad that her actual design doesn’t have the rainbow anywhere else. It’s funky and I like it what can I say.

Next I decided I really wanted her to wear thigh-highs. I personally love thigh-highs and also it gave me an excuse not to think about her leg mechanics. I tend to draw Sun and Moon like ball joint dolls, but it gets a lil funky to draw when they are bending their limbs so having a fluffy excuse to hide them was ideal lol. I decided to go with the bold choice of putting thigh highs and leg warmers on her, which I don’t regret even tho it probably seems like a lot. I might change a few things about her later down the line since these were just basic sketches so don’t worry if you hate it.

I gave her shorts because a skirt just didn’t feel right for her. I feel like a daycare attendant would be very active, even if earth tends to sit with the quieter kids, and a skirt would be very awkward to climb around in. I figured shorts would be good. I drew them like jean shorts since that was the original intention but they could be cloth rather than denim gimme time to think about it 💀

I had a lot of trouble decided whether the thingies on her shoulders were stand-alone or like pieces of hair she keeps up front (probably attached cuz she’s a robot) I decided on making them attached to the bigger floor of hair cuz I thought it looked cutest on the pic with her shoulders up and in front of her face lol.

Onto her chest plate thing, I was considering making it an actual shirt but decided against it. I wanted her to have a crop top bc I love crop tops so I just made it so her chest area was painted like a shirt, and then her middle area was back to her “skin” color, so it’s almost like a crop top but not really…?

Last but not least is her face, I also made that her “skin” color and just put the blue and green as her cheeks! I thought it looked cutest that way. She also has heterochromia cuz when a character has two main colors I really enjoy putting them on opposite sides as often as possible haha. So her green cheek has her blue eye and her blue cheek has her green eye. I know her original model has two blue eyes but this was what I went with.

Anyways that was super long and I’m super nervous about posting this so I’m just gonna hit post and if I find a typo or decide my lil explanation was 4 paragraphs too many I’ll fix it later. Have a nice day whoever is still reading this! :>

Well, no more gifts are gonna be a wine bottle, and not all of the gifts will have a whole dramatic moment where everything is quiet and wrong and Hastie being all alone, some will simply just be bad surprises on a decent day. But all the gifts will have something in common :3c, and they'll change a detail at the end of the story, that a previous chapter established to be something else ;)

I'm not sure! For simplicity sake, let's just say Jekyll's soul fused back together after death. If not, itll hardly matter as we wont be seeing Jekyll's ghost anyway, even if we do he'll have no reason to be Hyde

2: yes absolutely oh my goodness yes. I adore monster high! Ghouls Rule was a movie that I watched every chance I could, and I remember being sad as a kid that I could never find a Holt doll </3. But I got both the dolls later hehe :3c Holt's missing his headphones though 😔

In fact! Jackson and Holt are actually the reason I ever discovered The Glass Scientists!! I was looking though tumblr for content of em in July 2019 and a blog that posted about monster high, also just so happened to be reblogging posts about green-eyed Jekyll and potential red eyed Hyde. And I am an absolute sucker for possession/loss of control type stories, so that hooked me into wanting to find the comic

Anyway yes please, I absolutely want Henry to meet Jackson. What are they on the box? Grandson of Jekyll? Or Son? I'm like 90% sure its grandson. Jekyll being a funky grandpa to Jackson, although a grandpa he perhaps barely sees. I bet he'd be mad at the parents for knowing full well about Holt yet never telling Jackson, because what on earth youre telling me your kid "blacks out" frequently, has never seen the moon, and you refuse to explain to him why-

Henry going to Monster High one day for like a parent/grandparent/ family tree thing. Getting to hang out in Mad Science class and do some alchemy. Hyde (if he's still around) causing however much havoc an old man with back problems can cause, which is surprisingly much.

Ooo Jekyll meeting Frankie and just telling her that her dad was pretty chill but her grandmother (Frankenstein) was very rude

Alternatively, some type of experiment transporting 1885 Jekyll to Monster High and him getting to meet his grandson. Possible shenanigans of them trying to make sure he never hears about Holt? (Because then Jekyll would learn that HJ7 can cause his descendants to have their own "Hyde" and might want to avoid having kids because of that?, absolutely horrific but all managed in a fun light hearted kid cartoon kind of way, like 5 students scrambling to turn off some loud music from a speaker that suddenly went off)

(Tbh I even suspect they used the taegeuk/red-blue-white/yin-yang symbolism that can be found for ex. in confucianism & on the SK flag with KMC, KSJ & Joohyun’s characters respectively, I might talk about it in the next post or another one 8D)

I also might be diving into Reach Land but in the scene where KMC hits BGC’s car, he strikes its hood with a rock/stone a viper/cobra! Now I don’t know much about cars brands (perhaps someone has an answer!), but it didn’t seem like a product placement (and we got that A LOT in this drama & in the most obvious ways, so it’d be more on the nose if so!), so potential symbolism here?

The fire symbolism is also clearly there!

Maybe we’ll get more religious symbolism in the next episode, it was only recently in ep. 6 & 7 we got most of the imagery after all!

The No. 1 Fan’s letters were really funky on that note, I wonder how KSJ was under the unshakable impression it was KMC who wrote them o_O (like, dude was ready to cover his deeds as Gaetal as long as he believed it was KMC, unhinged behavior here haha)

Anyway, we left off at the symbolism of hands- or more who uses what hand and how it, right now, seems like KMC is ambidextrous.

I gathered some information (during class break, so it might be rushed but i'll read over it again as soon as I got enough time) about the "ambidextrous angel" i mentioned.

All highlighted texts are important to the statement I made earlier.

The paper I'm citating is "The Ambidextrous Angel (Daniel 12:7 and Deuteronomy 32:40): Inner-Biblical Exegesis and Textual Criticism in Counterpoint)" by Eugene P. McGarry (the whole of Deuteronomy 32 is pretty interesting and fitting to the whole topic of the drama- I will come back to this at the end of the post, where I dissect the different things I find the most interesting and important)

Eugene starts his paper with this paragraph where he introduces the angel

He later continues by expanding on what the angel does as soon as they set feet on earth. Tho, here its mentioned the angel only uses one hand to swear an oath, yet in the following paragraphs highlighted it shows it varies and its sometimes rather ambiguous and mysterious if one hand is used or two. Something nobody know of its true or not. There also is a man in "linen clothes" mentioned.

The author elaborates on what the man (presumable also the angel) taunts his people

I will just add all the following paragraphs I found interesting one after another, so its easier to read.

And at last we end with a painting description of Albrecht Dürers woodcut "Johannes, das Buch verschlingend/ Der »Starke Engel" (Saint John, swallowing the book/ The mighty Angel), 1498

In this way, Dürer symbolizes the divine inspiration that puts the words of his “revelation” into John’s mouth and ultimately moves him to write them down"

1. NCT U - The 7th Sense

Wow, I haven’t listened to this one in a long-ass time (heh). Introduction to NCT. Choreography and Fashion are gr8/8.

2. I.O.I - 너무너무너무 (Very Very Very)

My introduction to I.O.I’s music and members. Didn’t really like it at first but it didn’t take that long for it to grow on me to be able to enjoy it. Chungha is very very very gr8. (My I.O.I bias)

3. TWICE - PIT-A-PAT

Hehe, my bias girl group. A cute, fun, energetic song. I enjoyed listening to their vocals here, actually. No Sana, No Life btw hehe :).

4. TAEMIN - One By One

Oh man, I love this Taemin song. The electric guitar, his vocals, all so great in this song. Also brings back some memories.

5. TWICE - ONE IN A MILLION

Okay, if any fellow ONCEs see this, don’t hate me, but I only gave this one legit listen ever, and that was when the album first came out, hehe. (And also in their VLIVE the night before the album came out). It’s just ‘cause I don’t really want to feel so feelsy from this, man, lmao. It’s definitely a great song though, for sure - with really nice lyrics and vocals from all members.

6. AOA - Oh Boy

AOA - The first girl group I stanned who really got me in to K-Pop. This song was first released in Japan. This one particular gives me Early 2000′s Pop vibes. Like a song I’d hear on music channels on TV here in that time period. (Myx PH, MTV). It’s pretty good.

7. Stellar - Love Spell

This is my first time listening to this one, actually. It’s good. Seems to have those kind of funky-ish sounds on the verses with the electric guitar and snare sound and a nice chorus with Stellar’s cool-sounding vocals across the track.

8. SEVENTEEN - 붐붐 (Boom Boom)

Ah yes, Seventeen. This song still sticks to their funky type of sound but is still very fun and enjoyable for me. I love how the verses are not filled with that much instrumental then the sound gets fuller in the choruses. Choreography for this is fun, like Seventeen’s choreography usually is. :)

9. IU - Twenty three (Bonus track)

Not to be confused with 스물셋, which also actually just translates to Twenty-three, but this particular track is a bonus track in the Chat-Shire mini-album. This is my first time listening to this one as well. IU’s vocals are so nice to listen to. This song kinda has a different feel to it from what I’d usually expect from IU. It’s goood, though. 

10. 4Minute - Canvas

Damn, 4Minute. Kinda sad things had to end the way they did. Anyways, once again, it’s my first time listening to this. Pretty cool, their voices are nice to listen to but it’s not really my type of song.

Lol, these were kinda long but this is just how I’m used to explaining songs, hehe. Damn, though, I didn’t even get a single BTS song on here. It’s aight
