I feel really bad about it but I am really jealous of people with caretakers sometimes:( I just really wouldn’t know how to meet someone I could trust and I just feel so alone a lot of the time and then I get jealous which is bad I know but… idk 🥺

Hi anon! Thank you for reaching out about this, it’s totally normal to feel jealous or lonely when it comes to seeing others in relationships. Unfortunately, that’s a pretty common :( not feeling like you have someone to trust or talk to on an intimate level can sometimes feel overwhelming and manifest in jealousy or anger. I’m not always the best when it comes to relationship advice, but I always try to give the best advice on these things that I can…

I wish someone told me when I was younger that being in love and being loved are two different things. No matter if you’re friends or partners, the most important part of a relationship is trust. And for some of us, trust doesn’t come easily. Some people struggle to be open and honest about feelings, maybe from fear of judgement, or maybe because they never learned how to express them in the first place. As one of those people, I can tell you that it’s more common than you’d think to be unable to express feelings, even as grown adults.

It’s almost a good thing to note that you get jealous around others in situations you want to be in. It’s normal to be jealous about seeing someone being comforted by someone who cares for them. For some of us, it’s hard to form those relationships when we have a hard time expressing our feelings and needs to others. It really does help to get to know someone by text if you’re shy in person, but I’d suggest that you actually do meet in person (safely!) when possible to build the connection of learning tones and body language to help yourself assess what someone’s saying instead of jumping to conclusions like I sometimes do.

The only real way to meet someone who’s right for you is to meet and get to know others. Tumblr is one of many places that caretakers and littles can express themselves and be honest with who they are. There are tons of cg’s looking to have a little on this app, and most of them are genuine. Be careful when looking for a cg online however- there are tons of scammers and creeps out there that will try and trick you. Get to know someone- talk to them online, check out their account to make sure they’re a real person, and once you get comfortable, offer FaceTimes so you can be sure you’re really talking to who they say they are.

Unfortunately, there’s not an exact science when it comes to finding someone who genuinely cares about you. Also remember that CGs are people too and have feelings and emotions that need to be acknowledged- it isn’t a one sided relationship. A relationship is formed by trust, by honesty, and by happiness. Don’t settle for anyone who doesn’t try to help when you need it, and don’t be the person who doesn’t help. There’s no such thing as a ‘perfect’ relationship either- it takes work from both sides to make it last.

Okay I feel like I could go on about this for ten more paragraphs but I feel like it’s getting a little long here so I’m going to wrap it up… I’m so proud of you for being able to pinpoint and name your emotion when it came up, and I want to thank you genuinely for sharing this with me. It takes time, it takes work, and it takes communication to form a strong bond in any type of relationship, but especially one when it comes to being as vulnerable as in little space. I hope you remember that you’re not alone!

It's strange to feel like you don't really fit in all that well anywhere in particular.

I'm not a f*rry and the time I spent being around in that community was in retrospect overall pretty unpleasant even if there are people I'm still friends with who happen to be f*rries.

I'm agender (or rather completely removed from the idea of gender to be specific) and pan, but most of my experiences don't really match with a lot of other people, and relationships, sex, etc. are kind of awkward with my Identity (the whole "being a snake-like being").

I know maybe like one th*rian but from what little I do know, my experiences and identity don't really align with that crowd either.

Being around average people outside of the internet is also awkward because I can't accurately present myself as who I really am.

Communities around my hobbies usually have enough irritating people to not wanna stick around with for too long and there's not enough I have in common with most people to make real friends with.

Tumblr has this thing with personal posts of shouting random stuff into the void and sometimes getting a like back and never really interacting with your mutuals (which is strange because I remember it to be a bit better before 2018 as I've made at least 2 really good friends here back in the day who I'm still friends with).

Most other social media sites just fucking suck for anything but doomscrolling and some people who already have enough of an audience to look at their stuff.

The only place I like being around and have been around for years is the sub-only d*scord of a tw*tch streamer but of course no place is perfect, and the nature of such a server means that people often come and go pretty quickly and it's harder to get to know people individually.

Of course I also have one of those "server for your 5 buddies and you" kinda places but those don't count imo.

rating some games i've played cause i'm bored

• minecraft: community, friendship, creativity, inspiration, calm. literally can be whatever game you want. 14/10

• roblox: memes, death, "oof." 4/10

• fortnite: salt, friends, continuous death followed by accomplishment. 8/10

• overwatch: the community is either salty or drunk, winning streaks or losings streaks, looks good but actually dead inside, loving the characters. 8/10

• apex legends: sliding everywhere, spam pick everything up, actually getting the guns you want, fast paced, actually feeling like you're decent at the game wow. 7.5/10

• rainbow six siege: lots of salt and toxicity, what is happening, who are these characters, using abilities? i dont know her, accidentally killing teammates, 50/50 winning or losing but i certainly didnt contribute to that, cool realism tho. disclaimer: i've only played this game once. 7/10

• free realms: rest in peace, nostalgia, spammy anime battles, music that resonates with my heart, exploring, running around doing quests and loving it, building the Best Plot. 10/10

• club penguin: rest in peace, playing so long that you look like a member but ur not, seasonal events were the only reason to play tbh, the new app highkey sucks. 7/10

• webkinz: the arcade was the bomb, there was like 30% of the game that i still dont know how to play, buying clothes for little animals is a wonderful experience. perks include: a cute stuffed friend. 8/10

• poptropica: never played this as a kid, i've played it since but the only reason i like it is the clothes customization lets be real. 7/10

• coolmathgames: has like every game that matters, side effects include major procrastination and having to play fireboy and watergirl by yourself. 7.5/10

• skyrim: you can have a horsey and dogey, you can Be a Cat or Lizard (if anyone mentions f*rries i will scream), fite stuff, kill chickens, climb terrain that youre not supposed to. spoopy at times, and you will leave in the middle of a quest and come back 9 months later with no memory of what you were doing. 8/10

- Otto if you are a polymorph and can change your appearance at will, whyyyy do you stick with the creepiest form you can find??? YO HE WAS THE DUDE SPRAYPAINTING IN THE ALLEY!

- Otto has one of Dictatious’s very distinct-looking books. Should have been your first clue, Blinky.

- the Gumm-Gumm mourning the giant snake monster Jim killed, like...

- The Peer Gynt music by Edvard Grieg opened February 24, 1876, so if Nomura was a young girl at that time she’s over 140 years old. Also the wiki says her first name is Zelda. It’s either Yiddish or German. Zelda. Lord.

- Kanjigar is SHADY AS FUCK GUYS! “Trust in yourselves. And me!” I know they’re out of time and he doesn’t have time to be polite, but being deliberately vague and unhelpful is a real dick move.

- y’all Blinky and Dicky are the same size, have the exact same tattoos...I’m not certain that they’re not twins.  I know it’s easier to animate with a model you already have, but if they could add scars to Dictatious they could have changed the tattoos. The Darklands obviously physically changes anybody who is there for too long, since Dickbutt’s tatts are more angular and jagged than Blinky’s (as are AAARRRGGHH’s tattoos), but they still have them in the same places and in the same patterns. Unless Blinky admired his older bro so much that he got tatts to match, they’re twins.

- Alright so I just got off the wiki page and apparently Despicable Maxipads is the eldest brother, but the twins idea would have been SO COOL

- kay but Eclipse Sword is really pretty

- okay so they: broke a stalkling’s neck onscreen, stabbed a goblin through the hand with a pencil, stabbed Draal in the back, tore his prosthetic arm off, had Gumm-Gumms stalking through the hospital like damn velociraptors while Dr L hid in terror and prolly got eaten, 

- Toby’s intense love of The Mole Mascot Outfit is slightly disturbing. I do not need f*rries in this show. And go Darcy for being honest to Toby about taking things slow instead of leading him on and making them both uncomfortable.

- the burning-the-library scene is really nice. It’s quite but intense and highlights that there’s a lot more going on than the surface conflicts and fart jokes. 

- Blinky is pulling out all the stops on hating Stinktatious. He doesn’t hesitate, there is no love lost. As soon as he accepted Dicktit’s betrayal he immediately stopped loving his brother. As someone who finds it easy to stop caring about people and who has never met anyone else like this, this was something that I could relate to. Most people would think, “But he used to be such a good guy! Such a wonderful brother.” But his past goodness doesn’t negate or lessen his willful and gleeful betrayal, and Blinky accepts that without a single shred of remorse for what was lost.

- I’m glad they get on Jim for going into the Darklands alone but he immediately turned it around so that they felt guilty for making him feel guilty. I don’t think it was deliberate manipulation on his part, I think he’s just doing a classic Harry Potter teenage woe-fest, but I would liked to have seen him at least apologize.

- Dictatious and Gunmar come stumbling into the 21st century like a pair of blind and unsteady and crotchety old geezers, helped along by the nursing-home staff.

You see these demons in the second circle of Hell

- my headcanon that Bagdewella flirts with any and everything has finally come true. Look at that predatory smile. That is a woman who’d pretend to twist her ankle so that she could ask the dashing Trollhunter Kanjigar to carry her home. She even eyes Draal up and down.

Sorry, lady, Draal doesn’t have impure thoughts so much as thoughts for an Impure.

- Gunmar seems to gain power from gemstones (the blue gems in the DL, the Heartstone, etc) so what exactly does he need to eat humans for?? Dessert??

- AAARRRGGHH picking up the phone call from Jim about his doubles and is like NOPE, NOPE, THIS IS A BLINKY PROBLEM

- Every. Single. Move. that Trollhunter!Jim makes is accompanied by a dramatic whoosh sound. gLORYYYYYY!

AAARRRGGHH’s not the only one to have some really good moments.

- Is Eli from a younger grade and he just skipped a few? He’s tiny and has the squeakiest voice in the entire show. He’s less mature than even Steve and I’m not entirely certain he’s old enough to drive yet, because why would Steve be the one to drive Eli’s mom’s car?

- Usurna claims that trolls don’t use glasses yet Blinky has requested a pair numerous times. where is the lie.

- It’s not Barbara’s car, guys. Her car is green/teal and the car Gunmar dumped in a tree after (presumably) eating the woman who drove it was white.

- quietly concerned with the weird blue light that came out of controlled!Draal’s mouth + the light flicker, + Gunmar using his body to say ‘Your friend is gone.’

- Jimbo sounds so broken, pleading with Gunmar to release Draal from his control.

- Gunmar’s ‘I want to kill the Trollhunter with my own hands’ is the worst thing a villain can do. He literally has Jim down and defenseless several times, but doesn’t strike because he wants to be picky.

- “Unkar the Unfortunate?! I was hoping for Unkar the Ultimate! INCONCEIVABLE!”

- Even after Strickler’s turn of heart at the end of season 2, during Unbecoming Jim is still like yo stay away from my mom! Jim be like ‘I know you’re a CHangeling’ and Strickler immediately tries to kill him, favorite student or not. And then he wants to help?? 

- who is Nomura talking about, Mr. Stubborn and Works Alone that she knows well, hmmmmm

Ya just couldn’t pass up on making Draal die in the same pose that AAARRRGGHH died in, huh? Ya couldn’t pass on the anguished screaming, huh? 

- lowkey kinda annoyed that Jim kneeled before Merlin, even though despite the whole picking-a-fifteen-year-old-to-be-a-legendary-champion thing Merlin has yet to be an actual douchebag

I honestly think Blinky only claimed these things were rare so that he could hoard them himself.

O=h, um! Haha, I guess we’re...

... I guess I do=n’t really kno=w? I was go=ing to= say friends, but she’s kind o=f a jerk to= me all the time and I feel like pro=bably she’d say we’re no=t friends, either. I... kind o=f do= want to= be friends with her, and I’m kind o=f wo=rried abo=ut what she’s do=ing with her life because she has so= much po=tential but it feels like she’s wasting a lo=t o=f it just because she do=esn’t feel like putting the wo=rk in?

And it’s kind o=f awful o=f me to= feel a little bit relieved at that. But I do=n’t want her to= get in tro=uble, o=r to= have a hard time o=n Ascensio=n. And - and I guess that means I wo=uld still talk to= her if I didn’t have to=! I mean, technically I do=n’t really have to=. It’s no=t like I’m allo=wed to= talk much at wo=rk anyways.

I just kind o=f hate that making me miserable is a pastime to= her.
