#my art #jujutsu kaisen #jjk #jjk fanart #jujutsu kaisen fanart #jjk art #yuji itadori #megumi fushiguro #itafushi #fushiita #yuuji #megumi #cries megumi fought tooth n nail..... i refused 2 flip the canvas tho >:(#i vastly prefer drawing him facing right bc fr some reason it makes his hair look better silhouette-wise #so having him face left is alr a Challenge #but also having him slightly look down (difficult angle + changes the silhouette) had me bashing my head in2 th TABLE #same thing happened earlier this month w gardening megu middle pose . i did not learn my lesson #but even worse w this one yuuji's head is blocking th main pointy part tht basically carries the entirety of the shape language #u can imagine my distress i am sure #anyway th render made me a lot happier with it thank god. colours hard carry bless <3333 #i didn't plan on making it a full sheet but i needed 2 remind myself that im good at drawing megumi #so i threw in solos of each of them n tried slightly different render flavours #idk how Different all of them look visually but th process fr each ws Very different so i am satisfied #fight aside this ws useful i think! got 2 break out some Clunkier chalks n dust off a few of my smoother blended brushes #think i picked up some things i can keep also !! which ws. u kno. the Goal #tbh every time i do art studies i feel like i am kirby #one time i got called an art ditto by one of my fav artist mutuals when i did a style challenge #SUCH high praise from her it lives in my mind i take it out on days when i feel like trash #it doesnt Sound good when u say u r good at copying but real talk it is such a good skill i am very happy 2 have it in my arsenal

mgs itself is guilty of this but i feel like people gloss over the realistic repercussions of sunny’s abuse wayyyyy too much…she was separated from her mother, drugged, groomed, and isolated SINCE BIRTH, and it’s likely raiden didn’t rescue her until she was at least two years old; she’s been with snake and otacon for most of her life at this point but, despite being a technical genius, still struggles with functioning properly. her motorics are disturbed. she can’t read social cues. virtually the only times she doesn’t stutter are when she’s reciting patterns of numbers she was conditioned into memorizing. it’s genuinely horrific and i absolutely hate how mgs4 (and a good chunk of the fandom) boil this behavior down to being a result of her acclimating to a new environment, or needing a maternal figure, or just being shy. otasune don’t struggle with her because they’re first-time parents; it’s because they literally do not have the skillsets necessary to properly accommodate a kid that’s gone through what sunny has—despite them almost certainly having been abused children themselves. i really do lament the fact that the long-term effects of this treatment aren’t ever really considered; i don’t think, realistically, that naomi’s influence should have been nearly enough to help her fix those issues

#likeeeee i know its just cute drawings and stuff but my eye twitches every time i see art of snotacon with her as an infant #the biggest reason jupiter family is so special in my view is because all three of them are so traumatized in their own different ways #and consequently struggle to communicate with other people—particularly each other—because of that #but try and try and try to be better at it anyways despite it being so hard #and how the three of them being together helps each individual connect with the others more #sunny brings otasune together when they’re the most emotionally distant they’ve ever been #caring for snake’s health makes otacon and sunny connect on a more personal level #and i think taking away this core aspect of what sunny’s experience sort of detracts from that. in canon at least #mgs #myne #sunny emmerich #hal emmerich #solid snake #that one friend that’s too woke. sorry

how long does it take you to draw your sketches/doodles? also do you have any tips to draw faster? 🙇‍♀️

I generally take 30 - 60 minutes a sketch,,,, but honestly really depends on how detailed it is.

Like a Chibi will be done in 20 - 25 minutes (Counting in the extra time I spend on minute details like a perfectionist 😭)

I for some reason really like spending egregious amounts of time on random objects too??? Unless it’s the in the background, I’ll spend 40 minutes refining it.

Random characters that are fully colored and rendered with take like 80 minutes.

The comics take usually take an hour or two per page. (If I decide to cross hatch it, my entire day will be gone with 4 pages… so I’ve been trying to find shortcuts. But not without sacrificing the quality for time lol)

I don’t think there’s any trick or magic to drawing faster. It’s really about weaponizing your artistic knowledge, and finding what’s comfortable or convenient for you!

There was a period of time where I would spend 11 or 12 hours on an illustration, and it wASS UGLYYYYY. (Some of these artworks are still available on my tumblr,,, but it’s SO LONG AGO, AND IT WAS MY 1ST OR 2ND YEAR GETTING INTO DIGITAL ART)

Overtime I learned what worked best for me, and practiced till I felt more comfortable with what I was drawing. Eventually I managed to shorten the time to 4 hours or less! Ambition was my biggest enemy but at the same time my biggest motivator. (And it still is LMFAO) 😭

EDIT (bit more to my way too long tangent): ALSO??? BRO DON’T BE AFRAID TO USE YOUR MESSY SKETCH AS LINEART OR DRAW ON TOP OF IT. I’VE DONE IT FOR YEARS NOW AND IT ADDS SUCH A GOOD EXTRA BIT OF TEXTURE,, AT THIS POINT I DON’T EVEN USE LINE-ART ANY MORE UNLESS IT’S A COMMISSION,, (IT’LL ADD LIKE AN 2-4 HOURS TO MY WORK)
