Wes Weston is thee OC of all time. He belongs to the entire Danny Phantom fandom as a whole & is so well known we have tricked people outside the Phandom into thinking he is canon.

Wes Weston was created in 2014 when a tumblr user noticed him in the background of a single shot. He was given the role of "one guy who knows that Danny is Phantom" as a joke, named Wes Weston, & his character quickly rose to fame with the Phandom.

Wes evolved from simply "guy who knows Danny is Phantom" to ex-popular kid on the basketball team, who was ousted for claiming the hero of Amity Park could be that loser ghost hunter's son Fenton. He took up photography in order to get proof. He could never quite get it any, though.

Eventually, he learned that his father's boss, Vlad Masters, is the same as Danny, with an evil ghost alter ego. Of course, no one believes him except for his brother Kyle, who knows that Danny is Phantom too but thinks it's cosplay because he doesn't believe in ghosts, only aliens (& weed).

By this point, anyone who's heard his spiel has started a meme that Wes must be so hellbent on proving Fenton is Phantom because Wes himself is trying to hide His identity as Phantom! They even have the same butt.

Danny gets tired of trying to hide his identity from Wes, and because no one believes him anyway, Danny just stops pretending around him, to Wes's eternal frustration.

Wes slowly comes around, learning that there is a reason Danny is hiding his identity from the greater public (threat of vivisection from both his own parents & the government). Whether they become friends & Wes joins Team Phantom or they stay relatively neutral to each other is up to the lucky person who's adopted Wes Weston as their OC!

Wes looks similar to Danny, except he has red hair, green eyes, freckles, & is a bit taller.

like… something about the term pillow princess suggests a negative judgement - and in fact when its used in the context of straight women in bed especially, it IS used pejoratively. As in: shes lazy, she just lays back and relies on being hot and does no work. Its definitely something people use as a negative descriptor. Same for trophy wife. In general, thats not seen as an admirable thing to be by culture. so seeing people using that same pillow princess terminology in a positive light for will is what i couldnt get my head around i think even tho i agree with your reasons why he should be pampered. But i dont think what you described is pampering! I think its just being normal? Isnt it just will behaving in a way that he (and everyone!) deserves to some of the time: being doted upon and kicking back and letting someone else do the work! Yeah I think there's different connotations and usages with different people. To be honest, I've really rarely heard it certain ways used outside of kind of deep online social media/fandom spaces. Like for me, even if maybe irl a certain dynamic is slipped into, it's not like the whole thing was given a definition or terminology. It just is what it is. And I'm super versed in the history, but my understanding was from an origin in bedroom dynamics of the lesbian community? But as many concepts, warped and turned into multiple uses through colloquialisms.

And I see what you mean, the pampering/doted upon situations just being a normal part of life. I think the difference is turning it into something a little extra? okay so tamsyn muir is currently well-known as the author of the locked tomb trilogy (aka gideon the ninth and harrow the ninth), but for a certain section of tumblr shes also well known as urbanAnchorite, and used to be a big name fan on here up until around 2014 - pretty close to everything here is going to be from roughly 2011 through 2014, except for an interview im gonna get into, so 7-10 years ago. i was only vaguely aware of her until after i got into the locked tomb and saw people talking about this. with that in mind:

so the MAJORITY of the discourse revolves around a single fic she wrote on AO3. her account has 19 works in homestuck, and some of them are Kinda Weird to Pretty Bad in retrospect, but being completely honest this is the only one that isnt completely stock standard for homestuck fandom in that time period. like if we started casting stones about ten year old fandom stuff we'd be here all day

here is the fic (warning for CSA)

in most of the posts about it ive seen, theyve described it as a "rapefic," but actually reading it, it's a lot more nuanced than that description implies. its a dark story where a grown man abuses a girl, from the man's perspective, and the story ends with him being killed by her friend. the description of the assault is treated very seriously by the story and barely even touches on any actual sex, before immediately cutting to him being killed. its lolita if humbert got shot to death; the title itself comes FROM lolita

(sidenote - it was inspired by a prompt on kinkmeme, but that doesn't really mean anything vis a vis being intended for sexual enjoyment, and according to the note actually went against the spirit of the request)

ive seen fics, lots and lots of fics, that would qualify as the term "rapefic." it tends to be pretty fucking obvious when someone is using sexual assault as a fetish, and this is Not That

tamsyn herself actually responded to this in an excellent interview early last year. she gets into some Fandom Mom type language, but essentially says what i said above. in it, she also says this:

It’s not the first time I’ve been accused of being a paedophile. I grew up gay in the nineties. Homosexuality and paedophilia were enmeshed in society’s minds. When I came out, I got told that I shouldn’t be around children. I was used to that because it was common discourse, and it hurt like all hell, but it didn’t shock me. When I got called a paedophile by Twitter I got clotheslined. My support network had to get in pronto. I was very ready to have a hot date with a length of rope, a date I have arranged and cancelled multiple times over my life. I have had lots and lots of therapy over the years for various conditions, some of them lifelong and some not, but when that Twitter call-out happened it was hard to want to live. I thought I knew so intimately what I was doing with my fiction; my therapist was always so supportive of me writing about it. It’s not a topic of discussion between me and my family; I am relying on them not reading my interviews so it can remain where it belongs: thoroughly undiscussed!

with this context it becomes... a lot more nuanced of a topic. an author who experienced CSA in addition to growing up in a cultural climate where gay people were pedophiles by default, especially growing up catholic in a rural community, wrote a work about childhood sexual assault (which also happened to be fanfiction) as a way of working through it for herself, which is... something a lot of artists do with their art? and in return she got a massive blowback on twitter accusing her of pedophilia and demanding she talk about a massively traumatic moment in her life

this is the major sticking point of the discourse, im not gonna get into anything else on this post, but this is my view of it. if you disagree or have anything to add then feel free to add on. again, i know what it looks like, but im not trying to uncritically defend a stranger just cause i like her book. this is the conclusion i came to after doing a lot of digging for myself

1) yes, i am white. because of this, it's my job as a white person to read about/listen to people of color when they discuss issues of race. however, no group is a monolith and it's important to listen to different voices and come to my own opinion, because i can't parrot every voice i've ever heard on any given subject or i'll have some extremely conflicting opinions. (this is true of really any marginalized group whether you're a part of it or not, especially with the understanding that being part of a marginalized group gives you insights into that group but doesn't erase the conservative beliefs you've been fed from people around you, despite how people in marginalized groups seem to think that being born marginalized makes them instantly politically progressive.)

point being is that L being portrayed as a white person w/o being japanese whatsoever is something i have spoken at length about with people i have known/been friends with who are people of color, mixed or otherwise. i've done my own research into discussions about mixed people and how they are often made to feel as though they don't belong in any space at all. i'm not going to change my mind because some stranger i know nothing about sent me an anon.

2) also, "he's white passing canonically" this is what is called a headcanon beloved. there is nothing in canon that suggests that L is white passing. he's not drawn any differently from the japanese cast (because it's an anime and EVERYONE is basically drawn the same, lol) and he lacks any of the "signifiers" that anyone in death note is white (being a blue-eyed blonde and having a certain face type like aiber or rester). even those signifiers aren't a hard rule, seeing as though misa (japanese) is a blonde who is occasionally depicted as blue-eyed (contacts). hell, people's races are depicted so ambiguously that Rod Ross is a black man But Only In Some Adaptations (the video games).

it's also worth noting that when people react to L in-narrative, it's usually to say "oh, wow, he's slovenly/he looks poor/he's young/no socks?" etc--some variation of his strangeness. it would stand to reason if he were intentionally written as looking white, and not japanese, this would be called out? but all we get wrt L's race specifically is something ohba theorized about Word of God in htr13 and he wasn't even sure of the specifics himself at that point, so apparently knowing his Exact Race wasn't exactly a priority...

while there isn't really evidence in the manga one way or another regarding whether or not L is white passing, there IS evidence in LABB that Naomi mistakes Beyond Birthday for a native Japanese person, and that his real name is Rue Ryuzaki. the in-text reason, she explains, is that he is extremely fluent in japanese -- but it stands to reason (and i am not the first person to point this out) that if she mistook him for a person from Japan named Ryuzaki, he probably looks asian.

the reason this matters is that in the same book, Naomi later sees L and thinks he looks eerily similar to Beyond. again, we can extrapolate that if Beyond looks like an asian person, and L looks like Beyond... then L looks at least somewhat asian.

(it's also worth noting that Beyond had no need to use a japanese name at all. LABB takes place in Los Angeles. it would be perfectly normal for Beyond to use a western name when interacting with Naomi, but in LABB his Ryuzaki alias is used when he's acting as a parody of L. when BB wants to imitate L in all forms, as a way to poke fun of him, he uses a Japanese name, a name that L later takes up and uses regularly (without any Japanese people around him calling him out on it.) Funny.)

anyway, LABB is dubiously canon and this requires a lot of interpretation, so it's not exactly set in stone, but given that it's a work written by a japanese person about the text that is Death Note, it's interesting to see that they chose to depict L as convincingly asian and not an exaggerated foreigner. almost like L is a japanese person as well as being white...

3) even if L was white passing, the man is clearly engaged with and familiar with Japanese culture. being white passing gives a person some degree of privilege, yes, but it doesn't erase that they are still a person of color. its especially not my place as a white person to say that because L is 3/4ths white, he doesn't have enough ~japanese blood~ to be japanese. that's how blood quantum laws were made, lol.

4) lastly, i dont even really care about people drawing L as having white features/being white passing if they dont simultaneously describe him as not being japanese at all. my main gripe is with people who write meta/fanfic/etc about L and make him Just A White Brit who has no understanding of japanese culture etc etc, which is EXTREMELY prevalent in fandom (and commonly written by the same people who, say, make fancy moodboards about L in their fanfic where he's exclusively portrayed by white models, for instance).

"why did you word it the way you did in your DNI if you dont actually care then ducky" to weed out people who get really mad when you say that L is japanese in addition to being white, lol. and it works, clearly.

hello <3 since i got these asks at the same time i decided to combine my thoughts on them in this post. yet another annoying sjw essay from yours truly on this blog 

before i get into these i think i need to preface why im like. i guess overly hyperfocused on a certain unproblematic base (same age au / platonic canon) for them and avoid the ped0philic content like the plague lol

tw for pedophilia ment, rape ment if that makes you squicky. ALSO THIS IS LONG AND RAMBLY

as i’ve mentioned a couple times already, ive been into the ship since i was 12, back when it was very very common to not only post untagged (nsfw) canonverse content of the two in writing and in drawing but also non con and the like, so you can imagine how bad my first impression online was. thinking back on it ...as a child i found it disturbing but didnt really register how problematic it really was?? (i know, but i also lived in the middle of nowhere and had no one explain this to me) 

skip to 2014 aka me coming back to naruto at 17ish and i had kinda become hyper aware of the fact that there was an increasing amount of people online who had come forward with explaining how fictional problematic content, mostly pedophilia, had been used to groom them into starting relationships with adullts. it was also a time where a lot of people didnt believe these victims, not registering how common it was for minors to be online friends with adults who had no boundaries and no qualms exposing them such content. not gonna get into my personal life here but i was lucky to not having gone through this myself. like... it kinda was my first time truly realising how fiction can EASILY be used to manipulate others irl (and yes i will not argue this, if you dont think fictional media can form and manipulate people’s opinions on attitudes, countries, cultures and virtues, pick up a book about the effects of propaganda media at least once please) 

i, being young, still liking the dynamic but not really the romance, would point this out here and there in the fandom and get into fights with grown adults in their mid 20s who assumed i automatically hated the ship(s) and tried to restrict their freedom of speech or whatever, heard everything from the “age of consent doesnt exist in naruto” to the “sasori looks like a child what does it matter” despite people clearly playing on him being older and experienced. it made me so upset that people were just consuming all this content uncritically and exposing children to it tbh?? not really just sos but a lot of minor/adult ships in naruto in general. and thats where i sat down and thought, i do not want to be a grown adult talking down to children that point out how unsafe the fandom is. theyre absolutely right in drawing these boundaries and calling out adults who defend the uncritical consumption and creation of this content. i do not want to consume or create content that predators could use to groom minors, and i absolutely do want to let younger people in fandom know that i am respecting their comfort zones and want them to have a safe and fun experience. after all, naruto is not an adult show and i think a lot of people forget that!!!! i am not perfect in that regard but its something that i, at the age of 23, am very passionate about and strive towards to.

and i guess thats where same age au was born for me and i have been sticking to it ever since. 

so finally we can move to the first question 

aside from the fact that we both dont like canon sos, i dont think it would work out even if i wasnt prejudiced to it anyways. in all honesty, 35 year old canon sasori is not a redeemable character to me, given the fact that he’s easily amongst the cruelest villains in naruto (torturing and killing and taxiderming people for his own fun personal gain, never for a goal that served anyone but himself. how do you redeem having over 300 corpses in your backpack that you felt absolutely no remorse for killing). sasori was legit one of the only cruel villains that didnt had someone else pull the strings, which sends a clear message on kishi’s part, who absolutely loves to redeem villains LOL.

being that old, he obviously had already been very manifested in what he believed in, even if it was shakey, to the point where the first crack in that world view (sakura and chiyo protecting each other) immediately had him give up on his life all together. that, in my opinion, is not a man who’s going to know what healthy relationships would look like, regardless of it being romantic or not. 35 year old sasori to me has the same appeal as an expired can of tuna and he’s probably very happy 6 feet under. he’s supposed to be a failed gaara in that sense that he had no one to look out for him and therefore was never going to experience anything but a bad ending in life. its fine that hes dead honestly, it wraps up his short character development the best IMO.

adding to that, seriously, sakura was obviously interested in knowing why he was that way, and called him out for being seriously fucked in the head, but it’s weird to me that people assume she had any interest in actively rehabilitating him, let alone starting a serious romantic relationship with him. sakura who’s not only very, uhm, immature and straight forward when it comes to her romantic viewpoints also, as a big bootlicker, wouldnt soil her standing in the village by starting anything with a disgraced and far too gone criminal like sasori. shipping that version of sasori with sakura intimately is still going to set her up for a huge power imbalance that would be difficult to handle imo, even if she was the one in the fight ultimately exerting her power over him. i would still look at it and think damn she deserves better than having to play therapist for man like that lol.

additionally, even if you ignored all of this, you cant really ignore that sasori had already known her as a child, and that had been his first and most impactful impression of her. i dont think that sasori would look at 35 year old sakura and see her as a grown woman and not the little green girl she was in the fight. plus, you easily fall into predatory comparison territory between the “childish” and “womanly” and i have seen way too often in fic just being boiled down to her now being fuckable. a lot of of ships do this and i would just like to remind yall thats it not normal for adults to want to start relationships with children they have seen grown up or known as a child when they themselves were fully grown adults. therefore, maybe if sakura hadnt met sasori before it would be less of a problem? but that also obviously defeats the point of the dynamic and the reason he died in the first place. so yeah, it sounds kind of doomed especially if you were to make it romantic. 

WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE SECOND QUESTION

let me preface this that im not fundamentally against age gaps, even if im not super interested in it. after all, colorblind had a 5 yr age gap (with sakura being 21), even if, say, i wrote similar fics today i probably would make it smaller lol. i think it can be handled well if both parties have enough life experience to deal with it, and the author is cautious of where the age gap starts, i think a 10+ year age gap would be fine in a scenario where the younger party (i guess sakura) was at least 25-27ish, meaning she has completed most of her most formative life stages and probably had been in relationships before, meaning she would be able to handle it without having to fear a huge power imbalance. the older the younger party is the less the age gap is going to matter tbh .TsukiHoshino and AngelOfDeath10 both handle age gaps in their fics really well imo, so i do not mind reading about them.

unfortunately, a lot of people in this fandom think making sakura barely "”””legal””””” (18, not even 20 which is hilarious to me because the source material is obviously japanese) because they both cannot stand her being past her “prime years” of being young fertile and fuckable to much older men as well as thinking a 20 year old is automatically old enough to handle that type of relationship. ive seen a lot of unironic takes that believe it will absolve them of callout posts if they throw around age of consent and “shes 18 now suckers!!!” enough lmfao. absolutely hilarious. aging a minor up without aging the adult down seriously reeks of predatory “cant wait until youre 18″ narratives and thats why i find it similarly disturbing as straight up pedo shipping.

ultimately, sasosaku is and will always be a inherently problematic ship in canon, which is why i think it should always be handled a little more responsibly in fandom spaces, ignoring or outright excusing the main problem factor, which is sasori, isnt going to convince anyone that the dynamic in itself is well written and interesting enough to explore in aus, like giving sasori the redemption most of us wanted him to have by aging him down to a point in time where he was still realistically going to allow being positively influenced, similar to gaara. 

so really, what i think is well handled age gap and how most people handle age gap in the naruto fandom are two different worlds at times lol 

tl;dr

canon shippers have never been anything but gross when i was younger and i didnt wanna be like that, even if youre “smart”enough to differenate, actual creeps dont really care and might use your content to blur the lines, sasori isnt rly redeemable so romantic canonverse realistically wouldnt make much sense and is still iffy, age gaps are fine if they are handled well, but given that the dynamic doesnt really need the age gap to still work im not that invested on making that an essential part of my shipping experience.

RECENTLY, i have an oomf that found books about arjuna that summarize his exploits in the mahabharata(I DONT HAVE THE STRENGTH TO READ IT ALL IM SO SORRY) and also talk about him in a more philosphical manner such as his states of mind during each event etc and i’ve been meaning to read said book because im genuinely interested in arjuna now!!! and i’d like to know more about this indo prince because from what i’ve seen, he is portrayed in a rather bad light(?) in FGO which i find extremely !!!!!!!!!!! and incrdibley !!!!!!! strange !!!!!!! the mahabharata’s conflicts can be put in a mostly grey area where there’s no good nor bad, its not black and white. so seeing arjuna get bashed because of the way his conflict with karna was written is... hm. let’s say that im REALLY starting to understand arjuna fans that dislike seeing him get mischaracterized so much. OTHER THAN THAT, his design is adorable, his travel outfit is my favourite because he deserves to relax and have some fun!!! fgo making him a chuuni is cute and his VAs little moans are cute cute cute!!!!!!!!!!! (mash grabs my shoulder and forces me to sit down) i think that arjuna deserves better and im really happy to see him have fun in his travel costume voicelines. i think we should take arjun on a date!!! he’s a great lover, we’d have the best time!! OH ALSO, kama seeing him as the student council president in their interlude makes me SOOOOOOO HAPPY its unreal, i think it fits him very very well, the seitokaichou who was elected because of everyone’s hopes and recommended by teachers because he’s suuuch a good student but because of that, the pressure to be good is constantly towering over his head and everytime he looks out the window he wishes he could ditch class and skip a day just because he felt like going to the arcade and be a bad student.......just this once........i think hes very very cute...... i want him to cook for me. HAVE YO U READ HIS BOND 4 VOICELINE ?mmmmmggg i want him to get embarrassed everytime i praise him for having such a muscular waistline. AUG

ANEWAYS i also have quite the thoughts about karna, his characterization in the game is linked to arjuna’s and thats fine but i think that forgetting how much of a little sassy bastard he can get was a mistake! did you know that in apocrypha’s german dub on netflix, when jeanne calls his name like “You’re Karna, aren’t you ? The son of the Indian Sun God !” HES LIKE “So ?” AND THAT WAS SOOOO BITCHY OF HIM, i think that karna is a good boy in fgo but the fact that he was such a fighty old man in the mahabharata shouldnt be forgotten and is a charm trait. I MEAN ???? HE THREW HANDS WITH AN 18 YEAR OLD(ARJUN) WHILE BEIN LIKE... THIRTY TWO. WHATS WITH THIS ANNOYING OLD MAN !!!!! knowing these little facts about him made me like him so much more actually !! i think karna being so nice is adorable!! but the little bitchy energy u can find in his voicelines is also very charming!! i think karna looking at me emotionless as i ask him to lend me his notes for the nth time that week and then saying “...Mn.” when i thank him is cute!!! his voiceline towards things he dislikes is interesting to me. karna seeming aloof and mean bc he doesnt know how to communicate but is actually nice underneath...... hey... thats a little delinquentcore........ i wouldnt say yankii but hes like... hes like... u know hes the handsome quiet one of the group of yankiis... u know the one...? hey where are you going

ganesha is also a character im deeply interested in but i havent played CCC so i dont know that many details about jinako herself !! my brain goes HMMMMMM it seems lord ganesha is trans in fgo ! (since kama used to be a male god originally as well!!) ganesha uses all pronouns!!! and ganesha is also special to me because they share similar traits with kama when it comes to their characterization AND mischaracterizations. ganesha isnt JUST jinako. theres a part of a god in the servant mix!!! and jinako HERSELF is actually a pretty sad character imo. the whole otaku/neet thing is obviously a facade and her true wish being that she wants to redo her whole life is also proof of how much she hates what shes become, yet at the same time, she doesnt know what else she could do. but anyways, i prefer looking at servants from a lore POV so i think that ganesha should still be considered a god and be adressed as such!! i like seeing people portray ganesha as jinako but i prefer it when a certain lavish more godly side of them is put forward. a side of jinako that managed to move on a little bit if that makes sense ? that got more serious. and became someone else entierly despite sharing similarities. needless to say their bond with karna makes me happy since he shows them respect as you should towards a god!! its a bit different from their bond in CCC... like they matured somewhat!! anyway ganesha is the one who taught everyone else in the indo fam about video games and technology and i will NEVER shut up.

AND WHAT I LOVE ABOUT HIS PORTRAYAL IN FGO IS THAT, they actually made him a good boy despite his initial roughness and misdeeds ???!!! miss lakshimi makes me very sad! because every female servant in the indo fam is an already known face. (... would sita count.) and lakshi being a jeanneface is a waste. well, she’s still very pretty and her lore is also quite interesting!! i havent looked into it fully yet but i think she should be kissed on the mouth. her bad luck makes me slip on a banana peel whenevr i get close to her to kiss her and i hit my head on the pavement and pass away- 

parvati is on a tough spot for me atm. i genuinely love thinking of her as the way the indian goddess herself is portrayed because thats where the fun lies for me in her character. especially when shes involved with other indian servants, thats a given!! i would like to see parvati grow, suffer and heal. because branding her as an “all-knowing mom” is easy, but every single parent makes mistakes if you follow that logic. also, since shes the sakura servant “thats closest to her initial personality”, she’s got some of the most Repulsive fans ive Ever witnessed in fandom spaces and lets say that im trying to work my way out of this hellhole and find things to like about parvati without the fandom’s influence. needless to say, im going to keep looking into her mythos and her lore by myself at my own pace and keep doing my own thing in my little corner. 

rama shouldve been a jock. THE RAMAYANA IS OLDER THAN THE MAHABHARATA, WHY IS.....Hrm well him being summoned as his baby version gives me hope for a future rama alt perhaps??? but i think that he shouldve been a total jock and he shouldve been huge with a huge red lion-like mane for his hair and a teethy grin and big biceps and intense love for his wife. SPEAKING OF SITA, her charm point is her purity but i wish.... that their artist still hadnt drawn them like That, im not a fan of lily servants and i think purity = being young is a bit of an annoying excuse!!! rama and sita looking similar is because of their shared history which is fine but... rolls my eyes............. rama shouldve been 6ft tall and sita shouldve been a milf to match...... anyways i doubt ravana would be added as a servant but i’d love to have a ramayana centric event!! where all indo servants have their own lore centric role to play!!! oh thatd be a dream.... but i have learned to not expect much from a fanservice game so im jus gonna draw my own stuff! Allright its been one, two weeks since RWBY ended and we went into hiatus, and while i dont usually do this, i am feeling like I should go in one big ramble because this is getting ridiculous, and i am getting tired of it.

The subject of this is none other than adam taurus and the part of the fandom that got impressed tear eyed or regretted his death, last weeks i have encountered said people in discord in facebook groups in almost all social media and, it hasnt been funny, i get it he is death you didnt want him to die, in your little world he was such a good character, the moraly gray dude with the big sword that had a tragic past and was lider of a group of opressed faunus, a figure of strengt, and thats fine, seriously though, the problem comes when you also refuse to acnowledge that the guy was an abuser, a psycho, and a manipulator, it becomes even worse when you shield yourself with a: but they didnt show us anything on the series, even when Miles, Lyndsay etc have said so multiple times but it gets even worse when they have the courage of saying: this isnt what Monty would have wanted, yes dude because you met Monty while he lived and you, of course had a saying in RWBY.

Even worse is the fact that some of them somehow got the impression that Blake and called her toxic because she dared to stand up to him the man that loved her so dearly the man also known as his abuser, how dare she denie him the chance of redemption. How does the writters waste his pottential because he was soo deep dont they realize he had still ao much to give with Weiss with ruby with the whole series?!? Some even went as far as to make theyre displeasure known by harrasing the CRWBY on twitter, i wonder if they where the same dudes that complained about bmblb shippers when they did the same some years ago, heh you became what you swore to destroy.

Well i have sad news for you Adam was only a gear that rolled around Blake, he wasnt deep, and maybe just maybe some need to learn about subtext. While they say where do we came off with the idea that he was an abuser i say where do these people came off with the idea that this man wasn't one? Since Black trailer we knew something was off, they show us the great synergy both of them have while fighting and how much they truat one another and then, all of a sudden, we see Blake cutting off the last wagon and saying goodbye, that was the firts clue to tell us something was wrong. Second volume we have more clues about him and Blake and how it might have been a relationship a relationship that went awry, and then then comes volume three, volume three is the one that give us more dept onto this, the moment that Yang falls for Emeralds trick and is blamed for breaking Mercurys legs, the moment that Blake doesnt believe Yang and make us feel like shes heartless until one rewatches it with a clear head and realizes one tiny little detail that is... Blake was trying to protect herself, she mentions that Adam started the same way, his violence started with little accidents then with fullblown attacs, and then then the fall of beacon begins and both of them get reunited and.

He stabs her, even goes as far as to call her his love, and no dont get confused he didnt do it in a lovely way, he did it in a way that said she was his property, a thing that disobeyed his will, a misbehavior that he was going to make her regret, if this is love for you lot then i dont ever want to find love, then he goes off to hereby declare that he is going to destroy everything Blake loves and in comes Yang.

Yang who attacks stuppidly at Adam trying to save Blake, Yang who leaps at a very mad faunus who has his semblance fully charged Yang who gets disarmed. And here is the part that really gets me because thanks to Adams help we have a masive loss of human and faunus life, part of a kingdom is lost, and Beacon falls, and no, if you think he did it because it was good for his cause you are wrong, he did it because that was the most secure way to get revenge from humanity and from Blake, he was actually capable of partnering with Cinder fall and her bunch of humans just to get this, after all we see him searching madly for Blake wasting resources and time on this, getting to see his madness, thats why Sienna Khan scolds him the kingdom of Vale hadnt done anything to the faunus and even she knew of the importance of the huntsman schools, but there he went, with those actions the faunus where put in the same boat as terrorists,i can only imagine how the cause was receiving a huge whiplash for it, and when she dared to disagree with him what did he do, simple Adam stabbed her, i dont know if you have noticed this but in this post i havent been talking about the goat faunus but about Blake...

Anyways back to kitty kat, Blake runs after this, runs home, searching for peace that she didnt deserve at the time, arriving with a Monkey to her familiar heaven, but guess what Blakey, the part that he told you he was going to destroy everything you love was literal, the Belladonas where the oposite of what Adam wanted so what better way to get revenge and get his rival out of the way than to attack them, guess that his oponent was his loves object of affections parents give them an extra to be his targets going as far as to discredit them in public and then attac them, he was so sure about his superiority thar meanwhile he was celebrating, in his words he was " going to get wat he deserved" going as far as to go blow up the next hunters academy with a little convoy of faunus while drunk. Oh and get what he deserved did he got, Blake arrives with sun and an entourage of faunus willing to protect the achool, she one punches Adam leaving him wasted and outnumbered, and what does he do, he yells at hia aubordinates to blow the charges not even caring about the loss of faunus lives, when everything goes to hell he escapes leaving behind his troops, thing that obviously cost him his reputation on the White fang and then again what does he do? Instead of talking with his reflection on the mirror and saying, you know what dude we screwed up, our ways are wrong, that could possible make him redeemable, choose to kill those faunus that oppose him and fall into a wild hunt for the one he deemed responsible for it: Blake!.

Blake the one that he knows how she works, i mean making calculations he kight have been 17 and her 12 or something when he started to approach her, the one that Adam knows how to set off so he starts with stalking he, appearing here and there for the sake of suspense and induce fear onto his prey, waiting patiently for his oportunity, he wants her alone, making his big entrance once Blake goes to the comunications tower, there he kills, and both of them fight, but Blake is a little bit stronger, enough to fend Adam off for a little while, enough for Adam to deem necesary to remove his blindfold, and make Blake remember what the humans have done to him.

Then comes the fight adam versus blake and yang and seriously, i dont know how many chances they give him to run off, to get away but adam was steadfast on extracring revenge, at that moment he was really lost, he wanted her alone but suddenly Yang appears, going as far as to try and get her against Blake but when he sees and feels what is going on he gets enraged, even more at rhe notice that there is going to be a one against two, his object of affection and the one responsible of getting blake away from him, after dissipating Blakes aura and getting rid of her, Adam concentrates fully on Yang, he is irked, and so out of it that he can not use his abilities as usual, the koment that he yells what does she even see in you he looses it and as a lot of other people have pointed out commita a mistake he attacks when his aura wasnt completely charged, giving yang enough power to charge hers and dissolve his.

In comes the moment that a lot of fans are complaining, his death, they got rid of the sword but gambol's pieces were still discarded on the floor so instead of choosing to retry, Adam reaches out for the weapon, and i can tell you in these situations is kill or be killed, had Blake arrived one second late and he would have shooted her without second toughts, getting stabbed by both Yang and Blake, and falling into the watterfall, leaving behind a crying Blake, and a traumatized Yang they had been forced to kill him, forced because he didnt give them another choice, Blake couldnt save him even if she tried, and given the oportunity he would have ended her, yes she was crying but who wouldnt? She had killed the one person that at one point was her mentor aomeone whom she had shared a lot of memories, the one man that at one point ahe choose ober her family, as in Nevermore, she lost her soul, someone that even if it was a monster it might not have been like that at the begining, in moat cases the guy doesnt reveal that nature until the relationship is well funded, and yes Blake has reasons to feel down, she wanted to become a huntress hunters save people and she couldnt get him out of the shadows...

what're your thoughts on the magicians finale?

I’m going to put this under the cut because i’m going to end up rambling i think and also a lot of the finale is really heavy topics

So i have a lot of feelings about this finale and take a whole lot of issue the more i think about it tbh these are my takes on things (please dont come at me or anything everyone has different opinions and experiences) 

first, julia. once again any choice she had was taken away from her. julia deserves so much better than being used as the gods pawn and than having her decisions made for her. I don’t know if Penny 23 made the decision he did for her because its what he thought his julia would want or what. he has known this julia all of 5 minutes when you think about it. i was so happy to see she got magic back seeing as that was her biggest point on not being human. now this goes into my other thoughts on the finale with q. the fact that she only got her magic back or the ability to do magic because q died. as if the pain of q gave her the ability to do magic. yes i know magic comes from pain but what i mean is the writers made it that q’s ‘sacrifice’ benefited julia by being so incredibly painful she was able to do magic. julia just lost her best friend she wasn't there but she knows him through and through. 

oh boy Q. I saw theories he would die but i really didn’t want to think about it. frankly i had hoped the writers wouldnt be so fucking stupid. killing the main characters isn’t good writing i dont care what their reasoning is. honestly its giving me flashbacks from the 100 s3 clarke and lexa. the 100 writers killing lexa just after her and clarke got together there is a whole host of issues there but the comparison with the queer ship being killed is too much. im waiting for the fandom to implode like the 100′s did and still is. there are some things fans and fandom do not come back from and honestly, this is it. the clear and present disrespect. killing q when the entire fucking season was all about q getting el back at any cost by any means and then THEY DONT EVEN GET TO TALK NOTHING NO MOMENT NO NOTHING NOT EVEN A LOOK?? 

can you imagine el waking up in the hospital say a few days after alice had told them all what happened and i would assume it was margo so happy he was alive but had to be the one to tell el that q was dead. can you fucking imagine fighting to come back and the last time el saw q was after he realized what he ran from that he wanted to be brave to have a shot together and he was brave and did fight to let q know he was still fucking there. then he wakes up no monsters to be seen and no q too. it breaks my heart. (im making myself cry to be honest.)

Q was the reason i started watching the show in the first place. i stayed for the other characters particularly fen. for writers who say they care about the side characters they sure dont mean it do they? my case in point being having fen and josh overthrown 300 years before el and margo return fucking off-screen. are you kidding me. now maybe s5 will show more of that idk. 

I hated the last bit where penny says to q that’ everything all falls away and you are just you’ is so hurtful. the implications that death/suicide somehow fixes everything for everyone! NO! that his death that q going through the door means he is free of his mental illness is so incredibly wrong to imply. because thats the thought right? that death will end all the pain thats the point and they just flat said it. and to top it all off everyone gained something from q’s death. they gained their lives free of monsters. julia’s pain gave her the ability to do magic. alice and q got together for .3 seconds and now she has no one again she lost q again. its all so wrong how they left the characters with the loss of q (to make it realistic well way to turn this into fillory folks this place turned out to be not what i thought it was) 

speaking of how the characters lost q... how they filmed an alternate ending and the cast didnt know that this was truly the end... i havent looked into it to see how much is really true and whats going on i have tried to distance myself from a lot of it but if its true that is so incredibly rude and unprofessional and such a dick fucking move. to me that is wrong and completely breaks any trust. i was glad this was planned with jason for a decent amount of time and not sprung on him but still it was sprung on everyone else and no. 

i haven’t cried that hard over a character’s death since jasper jordan in the 100. and q was given a much better and acknowledged send-off. Q knew doing magic could do that in the mirror world. then as soon as he is with penny he starts to question if it was sacrifice or suicide. its all wrong to me that it had to come to this as if q saying he would die to get el back isnt some sort of contemplating death? i have a lot of questions on this and none of them will be answered as to its purpose and what it all means because its based of anyone's perspective of the character's arc itself. 

i could honeslty go on but i wont... im not happy q is dead and not coming back. im really pissed that queliot the most popular ship on the show (i dont think im wrong on that?) never had a damn fucking chance in the light of day that isnt in one single episode of 50 years. i wanted with all my shipper heart for queliot to talk to have anything to just be and end up with less than nothing. to kill a character with mental health issues someone a lot of the fans relate to in that manner then i think at least handle the issue so poorly in the aftermath by actually discussing what it was and then saying the last time we see him oh dont worry all the bad stuff is gone and you can just be yourself .
