this man is so excited to be at his first twitchcon & being able to hang out with all his best friends makes it a hundred times better

when he isn’t at a panel or doing meet & greets, he’s dragging you everywhere to see the whole convention center (clingyinnit)

he is just so at awe despite this not being his first convention to attend

you’d be surprised he gets tired pretty quickly & stops over to the partner lounge

you both rest for a bit against a wall in a pretty packed hallway despite it being an exclusive area to twitch partners

every time a famous streamer walks by he will yell it out and record it then vlog your reaction, even if they’re surrounded with bodyguards & trying to get to another place quickly

he’d zoom in his camera to their face at a horrible angle and be like

“oh my god it is THE ninja. ninja famous fortnite player, HELLO.”

but he gets completely ignored

then the camera pans out to you, still really zoomed in that the capture is blurry

tommy is so confused, forgetting the bit ninja did on his twitter where he renamed himself ‘ninjainnit’ for a split second

okay tommy isn’t that athletic but he will chase you and the rest of your group down a hallway if he had to

he’d probably find a toy gun from the artist alley/seller booths and shoot you and wilbur with it

but if tommy stumbles across any of the dream team, it’s about to be minecraft manhunt but irl

and he will def play his stream music while walking or smth when he’s bored (or trying to jump dream & sapnap)

you unfortunately end up paying for all 3 of their meals and picking on their food instead of buying your own

even with all of them making way more money than you, they still happen to be cheapskates

OR tommy will end up getting a burrito from a taco truck, immediately making a mess of himself, then proceed to complain how messy the food is to eat despite knowing what he was getting himself into before even ordering

i could honestly see him visiting the beaches in san diego and going for a swim or even renting out a boat to use for a bit :D

also he’d bring benson along with him and taking a bunch of scenic photos with it in them

i have a feeling he’s the type to schedule a spontaneous meet & greet because he was bored & gets in trouble for causing a mob in a certain part of the convention

he’s like “oh god, i did not expect this many of the bois to show up AHAHAH oops”

tubbo would def pull a lilypichu and bring his melodica or ukulele and play themes while following random people/cosplayers

at the end of the day, you’d find his bag just stuffed with crap he either got for free or bought in the convention

“how did you get all that stuff? i was with you all day??? and it’s only the first day of the convention, hello?? it looks like you’ve been collecting as if twitchcon has went on for a week already!”

honestly with wilbur it’s slightly more chill

he already experienced twitchcon before so he’s just glad to see his friends again after so long

insists that you explore the convention yourself rather than sticking with him the whole time but you do anyway!

wilbur would probably have like a mini concert and gets you front row seats with the rest of the group

but that doesn’t mean before it that you’re not helping him set up

AHAHAH and for context traversing through la jolla by walking around the town is a bit hard since it’s basically on a bunch of hills (walking up from the beach to a restaurant actually is actually sm work, trust me ive been there)

wilbur honestly doesn’t spend that much time in the actual convention center, he’s probably sightseeing a bit of san diego with you instead

but i could imagine him staying at the tabletop games area playing dnd or smth

it’s just a nice, calming moment after all the loud music mixed with hundreds of conversations at the party

also something about like taking polaroids pictures with wilbur just seems to go hand in hand for me

i’m not sure why but you will be taking lots of pics with wilbur for sure (not necessarily you both in the photo, but of sceneries as well while you’re together!)

ngl i feel like phil would plan a visit to disneyland for everyone, like he gets the tickets and everything but once you’re at the park it’s free reign, y’all go everywhere with not much of a plan

the minors would try to cheap out phil and pay less than the others even though everyone else fully paid phil back and everything LMAO

ok but if he’s feeling nice, phil will buy everyone cotton candy/pretzels :D

surprisingly techno is really calm despite this being like one of his first conventions

but when he finally settles in and gets comfortable, he’s showing the same energy

if you’re playfully yelling, he will yell back

however there’s still those awkward moments that are unavoidable

idk why but something about him makes me think that if you feel tired and want to go back to your hotel room, he’d go with you just to make sure you get there safe

he probably also needs a break from being around everyone else for a moment too LMAO

i could also see him searching far and wide in the artist alley for fanart of himself AHAHAH

walking around with him in the convention consists of someone yelling “BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD” every 5 minutes but you don’t really mind

something about him makes me think he’ll be forced into playing minecraft twitch rivals along with the rest of sbi or smth

and he’s like “oh god, i’m going to be on stage? and people will see my face while i play minecraft?”

“i’m sure it will be fun!”

“i mean i like being competitive and feeding my ego, but i’m not that desperate.. well”

do i imagine techno getting easily tired of being surrounded by a bunch of people and just going back to his hotel room with phil and watching some anime with him? yes

i feel like after a while of you guys hanging out in techno’s room, the rest of the gang will just slowly join you guys

like eventually everyone is there; you, techno, phil, wilbur, niki, tommy, tubbo, ranboo, etc

and techno is like “wha– where did you guys come from?” because his room is basically packed

and niki could be like “oh we can go if you want!”

then techno just insists that she’s fine “but who let the child get in?” clearly implying tommy’s presence

eventually techno gives in with the company and someone gets a bunch of board games to play from the front desk

lots of yelling and laughing for sure

when it becomes late at night, techno is like half conscious, you’re on your phone, wilbur is staring out the window & enjoying the night view, tommy is passed out on the couch from tiredness, tubbo & ranboo is still wide awake quietly talking, and phil & niki are helping clean up the giant mess

eventually everyone brings themselves to go back to their own room except tommy who won’t budge

you give techno a look and he immediately understands what you were thinking

he rushes to the bathroom to fill up two cups with ice cold water and handed one to you

“on three?”

“okay.. one”

“two”

“three!”

then both of you pour the water on the poor child’s face

he jolts awake and saying a string of curses

“what the fuck techno? y/n too?”

“get out” is the only think techno says that before tommy rushes out with his stuff and you leave right after

a/n: i honestly can’t wait until conventions open up again though,, phil and ranboo were talking about vidcon earlier and omg.

also i kinda want to take in tommy requests but i’m not sure??? it would be both cc! and c! x gn!reader for sure tho. i love writing him to bits but who knows, maybe i’ll only stick to my ideas,, or not. send in a tommy x reader request, might do it, might not, but he’s my fav cc if you can’t tell so! :D (i dunno if i will keep it strictly platonic, but unrequited crushes and stuff are fun to write hehe,,)

Hello! Here is my request for Beidou and Ningguang trying to ice skate only for them both to end up buried in snow with their butts sticking out. Tysm!

Summary - Beidou ends up throwing both her and Ningguang into a snow bank when trying to skate.

Pairing - Beidou x Ningguang

Penpal - Ahhh- sorry this one took so long to get to, I changed things up a little bit so I hope you like it.

A/N - Bro I need to write more over the ship- I get the vibe that it would be a teasing Beidou with a stern Ningguang till they break past that business exterior, very cute ship.

Buried in Snow ( beidou x ningguang )

Courageous, that's how Beidou presented herself to the challenge.

“Patience,” the woman's voice beside her rang quiet but stern. Ningguang grasped the dark haired woman’s arm, steadying her with every step she took. Like a swan spreading its wings for the first time, Beidou wasn't necessarily exceptional as a beginner skater. Maybe the going fast part, but that was only because of her reliant grip on the white haired woman. “This is but your first time, dont push your luck.”

Beidou simply sped up, tugging Ningguang along her just the same. “And where's the fun in that?” She asked with that wide grin of hers, ignorant to how the other woman’s hand coaxed her temples.

“Always one to push my limits hm?”

But those harsh words slipped in and out her ears, earning a chuckle when carefully considering them. “Don’t be too far past your limits yet,” was Beidou’s coy response. “You have yet to consider how we stop.”

Ningguang’s steely behaviour was cut short when she noticed the giant snowbank before the two of them. With the speed the two were going at, there was no possible way she could bring the two of them to a full stop.

“Ha- dont start thinking you can escape either.”

Because Ningguang’s delicate wrist was encased fully by Beidou’s hand. Firm and unrelenting in all her strength, she gave it a little squeeze before the two of them were thrown into the snow.

Both hurled into the icy bank, the white haired woman letting an out of character scream before they were both thrust into the snow. Hands first, butts sticking out comically like something you’d see out of a cartoon. It didnt take long for the two of them to wriggle themselves out, Ningguang managing to pull away first. Beidou was too busy laughing her mind off in the snow, mumbling muffled words along the lines of, “That scream-”

Annoyed, Ningguang slowly rose to her feet. “You little…” she began, but found herself unable to finish the sentence.

“Ah, well as much as I’d love to continue laughing over the scream,” Beidou’s voice was again muffled, but anyone could hear the amusement in her voice. “I cant get out, seems I was buried deep. Give me a hand would you?”

Ningguang analyzed Beidou in all her steepish dignity, a small smile forming for the first time this evening. “Hm? I think not.”

“Eh? Wait- you arent going to leave me like this are you?”

The slight terror in her voice was music to Ningguangs ears, and with a placid sigh she gave in. “Alright, seems I’ll have to do everything myself dont I…” She grabbed the hem of Beidou’s jacket, digging her feet into the snow. The first pull didnt work, neither did the second.

“Hurry it up would you? I’ll be pushing myself out at this rate.”

“Feel free to do so yourself,” the white haired woman snappily answered back, pulling one last time. Third lucks the charm it seems, and Beidou collapsed back from the snow bank, and right onto… Ningguang.

“You know- I don’t mind this too much.”

“Because you’re… you’re not getting squashed-!”

Beidou rolled over, sheepish smirk as she lay beside the pale woman.

“There ya go, happy now?”

Ningguang didnt answer, taking a deep breath and simply stilling. Both on the discomfort of the ice, the two of them with their arms spread wide like snow angels. Silent. Perhaps the one calm moment between them that did not consist of bickering or tension, and even for that one moment, enjoyable.

when I started shipping it.

Maybe a year to two years ago? It’s hard to say I can’t really remember. I don’t know what sparked it, but either way I know it started with my friend Lemon. Either we were doing things with the BFT and I had made a joke about baby BFT with Romano, Germany and Canada and it just developed discussions from there. Or it was me struggling between the three proponent ships and Lemon being like ‘why don’t you just make them a poly’ and like sun coming out from behind the clouds it finally dawned on me by the power of citrus. Either way it was something I kept messing with, and the more I talked about it the more people hopped on board with me. We’re still just a raft in a sea of ships but I made this baby and I’m proud of it.

I will say I have had a lot of people talk to me like I made it, and while I do want to take some credit cause I put a lot of time into them, I have heard it used to be a ship back in the old hetalia days. But I haven’t found any old fanworks of it. And trust me I scoured every fic and art site I could think of. Maybe it was something only seen in RP groups so it never got published fic or art but I crave content for it so if it was originally a thing and there’s content around let me know please I don’t wanna take credit for it fully but I have not found another person who shipped it before they talked to me.

my thoughts:

Literally some of the only serotonin I get in these trying times. I love them so much they make me so happy. An unbelievably strong power house trio who could do damn near about anything together. They have it all.

I could go on for hours about small scenarios or aus with them. Like I’m a multi-shipper but fuck man they’re my OTP. I can and do ship other things with them, but man they make me melt with joy.

I made a playlist for it, I’m still building it but I like ti so far. I wish I could find more three person love songs but for now I have songs for each of the three lads, and the three ships that make up it, so it works! Might change some of them but I like what I have so far!

What makes me happy about them:

Literally everything. Their characters, the dynamics, the growth they create together. They may not work in every story of mine but when they work they really work. They push each member of the ship to grow as a person. Germany finding support he may not have originally had, Canada finding the confidence and support in a group that won’t forget him, Romano finally feeling safe enough to open up to others in a way he didn’t feel safe doing before. It’s just the good fucking food. You can put it in different settings and it just works, they’re able to play off one another in a really great way and pull them out of their comfort zones in ways that other ships don’t hit me as hard with.

What makes me sad about them:

That I am literally one of the only people who makes content for it. I have scoured the internet I can’t find anything, ANYTHING. And often I cannot get people to follow me on it, I’ve been getting more people on board slowly but surely but STILL-- That or they really try to push the whole ‘i ship it with (ship thats similar but with one of the brothers swapped out for the other)’ on me when I’m talking about it and I’m just like. I asked for GerCanMano I didn’t ask for your opinion. I’ve thought about the other ship conbo’s with their other brothers, I just like this one the best.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:

When this ship is treated as a lesser to other ships around the three characters. People going like well I think it would be better if it was ‘swaps one of the brothers out for the other’ but that’s not the point. Also this is a general problem I have with Germano/GerCan as well but people making it all about their family’s or brothers reactions and how it effects their brothers instead of their relationship. ESPECIALLY between Romano and Italy.

It’s almost always a cheating on their ‘true love’ or some sort of affair fic and it doesn’t focus on their love and living together and more about them bouncing around to avoid getting caught and I just don’t care enough. I just want to see them in a loving happy relationship, and interacting with one another. Prussia, America’s and ESPECIALLY Italy’s reactions don’t matter to me. When it comes to say GerIta fics, there are a few that address Romano’s feelings toward Italy’s relationship, but not all of them. Hell some of them don’t have a mention or hair of Romano, but when the position is reversed with Germano suddenly even if he’s not in the fic it’s all about how Italy feels about it or how it effects him or hiding it from him.

I dont want to watch Germany go back and forth about which Italy brother he likes while dating both. It’s one just not in character and two its uncomfortable. I read this fic for the gercanmano Im not here to hear that Germany’s cheating on and warring with his feelings toward Italy or Canada sleeping around behind Prussia’s back. It’s boring and I’m tired of reading it. I’m digging into specifics of the three component ships cause there are no fanfics of GerCanMano so I can’t talk about what annoys in their base fics.

I had like one person write GerCanMano into their RusPrus fic, which was cool. but then they were a nazi apologist. So I can’t exactly read it anymore. I have nothing else to compare to but the base three ships of Germano, GerCan and Canmano

Things I look for in fanfic I don’t ask much I just want them to exist without me having to write all of them. I wanna find content other people have made, not that I’m lazy and think peopel should make content for me, just that I get bored of reading my own writing. If I wanna be really picky, letting it be a quickly established relationship and getting to see them in the relationship, learning about each other living together dealing with problems together that doesn’t just have them break up after one fight.

Having them in a functioning relationship before the story is over. Letting that relationship blossom past the start or the first date before the fic is finished. It’s sad when a romance story ends with them getting together cause there’s so much more relationship to have-- ;^; what about cooking together and cuddles on the couch and date nights and small fights and family gatherings--

My happily ever after for them:

It’s hard to write a happily ever after for nations or for anything to be honest cause life keeps going, growing, changing etc. But I’d love them to have a wedding and just a calm, slice of life kind of life together. A nice house, a big garden, a pond in the back where in the winter Germany and Canada can ice skate. A nice big garage where Germany and Romano can work on cars, Maybe near the woods so they can all go hiking,

Nothing fancy. A nice place that smells like warm coffee in the morning, that’s lively with sound of loved ones and shenanigans during the day and quiet whispers of affection at night. They get together but meetings are less boring, they have plans with their family and friends. Spain, France and Prussia loving to tease their little siblings/kids about things and make sure they’re doing okay. Veneziano always trying to help Romano come up with romantic shenanigans to use against his husbands. America just being happy his bro is happy.

I exclusively write top Canada. Like, I just do. I don’t really draw or write him taking it, I don’t know why I just don’t. Doesn’t mean he isn’t put under someone’s thumb in bed, but they’re still riding. There are very very few instances where I have written him taking. Again I don’t know why. Maybe it’s just the concept of soft pastel uwu boy slamming Germany into a wall, maybe it’s the thought of Canada in heels and leather just with the vibe of ‘go ahead tell them. no one will believe you’.

Canada isn’t any kinkier than Germany, but he’s more confident than Germany about it. He’s got a little bit of jealous neediness in the back of his brain so when it comes to sex he loves when his partner’s attention is on him. He loves to spoil and get spoiled and is the roughest of the three. Just a tiny, tiny bit of masochism/sadism. Very small. It’s very much he’ll do it (with safe words set in place and everything) but he will feel eh about it afterward and make sure that they don’t take away that he hates them or anything. In the inverse hes very very good at fluffing people up and body worship, as well as demeaning talk. A random headcanon: he keeps nursing injured animals back to health because he’s just that fucking sweet and bringing them back to his house to keep them warm and safe while they recover and his team knows vaguely about this and ino and shikamaru like to poke fun at him for it but since they don’t tend to encounter said animals, it’s not really a huge deal.

of course they stop by his house one day bc he hadn’t shown up for training which is annoying and frankly a little concerning and finding the house mostly empty ino just bursts on into chouji’s room only to immediately have the opossum he’s been caring for latch its little paws on her face and cling.

it’s a bad morning. General Opinion over said character: literally one of my absolute favorites of all time and it really breaks my heart how overlooked he is in the fandom (seriously y’all...). i think kishimoto is kind of a stupid hack and the Fat Jokes are really grating and it sucks to see that so intrinsically tied to his character (like. just let him be fat. jesus christ) but his kindness and overall relaxed, loyal and lovable nature has me just melting. i adore him.

Shikamaru

(I could also talk a lot about how his earlier misogyny is both a product of being a whiny tween and also some internalized frustration of like WHATS SO GREAT ABOUT GIRLS. UGH. I DONT. “Well, this is stupid.”

“Yeah, tell me about it, pal.”

Race sighs, looking down at his hands as he fiddles with the cup sleeve of his grande americano.

It was common knowledge that the “Formulated Love Act of 2023” was not the most foolproof of laws passed by the government in the past 5 years (not that anything the government did anymore was foolproof, but he’ll digress), but Race couldn’t help but at least appreciate that it wasn’t trying to push any heteronormative bullshit.

That didn’t make this asshole any more bearable.

Granted, the notion of solving the ‘loneliness epidemic’ (which apparently was a thing and was causing the US enough damn trouble that the government fucking stepped in) through means of systematic soulmates was sweet. Everyone gets a match based off a stupid fucking questionaire they completed when they were 21, like “oh, you can drink now! Here’s a shot of vodka and also your future partner is gonna be determined by this thick ass packet, go ahead and fill that out, no pressure!” And by the time you’re 25, a soulmate’s been hand picked for you. By law, you’re required to marry them within a year of meeting, and then you’re set to live your life happily ever after.

It was nice in theory. But in practice? Not so much.

Then again, wasn’t the government usually like that?

Race wished he had some whiskey to pour into his americano like those edgy movie characters. Or Jack Kelly. Jack Kelly did that sometimes.

When he’d gotten the email a week ago with his soulmate’s information and their established ‘meet-up arrangements’- which were really just fancy words for ‘forced date, have fun’- Race had been tentatively hopeful that maybe he’d be one of the rare cases. The ones you read about on Buzzfeed where it really is love at first sight and maybe those few, poor FBI Agents who were stuck with the ‘Pairing Process’ had done something right for once.

The ounce of a Disney fan within him had even entertained the thought of some miraculous meeting, where sparks fly and eyelashes are batted and smiles are exchanged.

But no. Instead, Race is sitting at some random Starbucks in the middle of Manhattan with an obnoxious (and upsettingly pretty) redhead, who’s first words to him were, “I fucking hate coffee, I’m gonna get tea.” To which Race had tried to cover his scowl, but failed miserably.

He hated tea snobs. Don’t get him wrong, he enjoys tea as much as the next 25 year old guy, but those dudes who fucking made a point to openly despise coffee in favor of tea like some sort of pompous jerk? Yeah, they killed his boner.

Race toys around with his coffee cup for another moment, before the silence gets too thick and he breaks, “Albert, right?” he asks, because even though it’s been a good half hour since they’d met up, the guy still hasn’t properly introduced himself.

It had said Albert’s name and age in the email last Saturday, but come on. It’s basic human decency to at least offer your name and maybe a handshake.

Albert scrunches his nose, taking a long sip from his iced peach green tea lemonade. Fucking asshole.

“Yeah,” He says. He sounds bitter and uninviting. Race tries not to shrink in his seat, “And you’re Antonio.”

“Race,” Race interjects.

Albert’s eyebrows draw together, “Race? What the fuck kinda-”

“It’s a nickname, just-” Race scrubs a hand down his face, “Just, don’t question it, but it’s Race, got it?”

Albert leers at him, “Fine.”

The silence settles over them once more, except this time, they’re maintaining eye contact. Albert looks like he’s trying to size him up and Race’s neck prickles uncomfortably.

I mean, seriously, this is the guy Race has to marry? Yippee fucking ki yay.

“Listen,” Race says slowly, “This- I mean,” he blows out a breath, starting over, “I hate to break it to you, but we’re stuck together and you’ve gotta move in by,” he pauses, checking the date on his phone, “Wednesday, so we could either work something out or suffer.”

Albert’s glare doesn’t falter, “I’ll suffer.”

Race sighs again.

“And down the hall here is my room and that,” Race gestures to the door opposite his room, Albert trailing behind him, “Is yours.”

After their disaster of a first date last Saturday, Race had relented and cleaned out his office, turning it into a guest room and moving his desk and file cabinets into his own room. It was a tight squeeze into his relatively small space, but he wasn’t about to share a room with Albert. But he was a nice person and wasn’t gonna condemn him to the couch, either. So, guest room it is.

Albert hefts his box of belongings higher into his arms, shrugging his right shoulder to adjust the duffle bag on his back before inching into his room.

“Thanks, I guess,” He calls bluntly behind him before kicking the door closed, leaving Race standing dumbly on the other end.

Race blinks. Then, blinks again.

“Man, fuck you!” He calls in a sudden surge of anger. He hadn’t done a damn thing to Albert, what fucking right did he have to hate him? He didn’t even give him a chance!

“Nah.” Albert calls back.

“I didn’t mean it like that you fucking ass- you know what? Nevermind.” He storms into his own room, slamming the door shut behind him.

Later that night, Race is curled up in front of the TV, cradling a bowl of Panang curry and watching some random documentary about koalas. He spoons some fried tofu into his mouth, frontwardly considering getting a koala, because they’re fucking adorable, and distantly wondering if Albert was ever going to come out of his room.

He hadn’t heard from him all afternoon and the only indication that he was still in the house had been the distinct sound of a toe being stubbed, followed by a loud, ‘fuck me!’, which Race didn’t laugh at. He didn’t.

His question is answered a moment later when Albert’s door creaks open down the hall and he pads into the living room. Race can feel him lingering in the doorway, watching him, and he groans a little, placing his spoon back into his bowl and muting the television.

“What,” he says, turning to face Albert, who looks sheepish for a moment before replacing the scowl on his face.

“Nothing, just-” he purses his lips and glances towards the kitchen.

Race softens a little, “Are you hungry? I didn’t know your order, but I got you some pad thai,

‘cause it’s pretty standard…it’s in the fridge if you want it.”

Albert looks back at him, a strange look on his face, “You got me something?”

Race shrugs, “yeah?”

“Even after I-” Albert shakes his head, “Thanks.”

Race watches as he seems to go through some internal conflict before stalking off towards the kitchen. A moment later, the microwave starts up.

“Alrighty,” Race mumbles to himself, unmuting the television and picking his spoon back up.

A couple more minutes pass with the remote sounds of Albert putzing around in the kitchen and the narrator’s accented voice droning on. It feels weird to have someone else in the house, but Race shrugs it off. He never loved having roommates, but it was no different than his college days, really. Even though he couldn’t just forget Albert after the year was over. He had to marry the damn guy.

He’s surprised when Albert comes back into the living room and even more shocked when the other end of the couch dips. Glancing over, he finds Albert sitting with his legs tucked underneath him, twirling rice noodles around his fork and staring fixedly at the TV. He forces himself to relax and finish his curry.

They don’t say anything and eventually, Race lets his guard down a little. An indiscernible amount of time passes and the program turns to a show about domesticated hedgehogs and how to care for them.

Race feels himself nodding off, and he’s about to let sleep take him over completely when he feels his bowl being lifted out of his hands. He cracks open an eye in time to see Albert get up and clear their dishes.

He comes back a moment later and looks mildly startled to see Race awake.

“I thought you were out out,” he says, and Race notes that the hostility that’s been ever present since they met is curiously absent.

“I woke up when you took our stuff,” Race admits.

Albert hums and sits back down on the couch, clicking off the TV and bracing his forearms on his knees. He looks like he might want to say something, so Race waits patiently.

“Look,” Albert starts, sounding a little strained, “I’m sorry for how I’ve been acting. I’m not trying to justify my behavior, but this whole,” he gestures a little wildly, “soulmate thing freaks me out and I kinda panicked over it and totally took it out on you even though it’s not in any way your fault and,” he lets out a humorless chuckle, finally looking at Race, “I’m sorry. Really.”

Race offers him a tired, but reassuring smile, “Listen, bud, I’m like half asleep so only, like, a fraction of this conversation is getting comprehended, but it’s okay. I mean, you were an asshole, but I get it. This whole system is fucked.”

Albert laughs for real and Race finds that he likes it. Just a little. He can appreciate a nice laugh, okay?

“Sure is,” Albert agrees.

There’s a pause, but it’s not as charged as before.

“Where did the nickname ‘Race’ come from?”

“Uhhh,” Race yawns, stretching, “I dunno, my little sister always called me that and it stuck?”

“Cool.”

“Yeah.”

Race props his head up on his hand, sleepily watching Albert fidget. Albert seems to sense him staring, because he looks at him again, offering a small smile.

“You’re tired,” he points out uselessly, “you should sleep.”

Race nods, standing, “Yeah, I think I’m gonna,” he starts towards his room, “You should, too.”

Albert salutes him, “I will.”

“Goodnight, Al.”

“‘Night, Race.”

After their little impromptu apology session, things change between Race and Albert.

They hang out more, heading into the city to browse through museums and stroll aimlessly through Central Park. Albert brings Race to a planetarium and Race, in turn, takes him to an ABT performance at Lincoln Center. It’s nice, Race finds, and his initial opinion of Albert is rapidly changing into something entirely different and ten times more positive.

He discovers that Albert’s favorite ice cream flavor is stracciatella, even though it’s hard to find in the States. Albert tells him that he graduated from Pratt with a film degree and dreams to one day participate in the Sundance Film Festival.

In turn, Race confesses that even though he grew up dancing and always thought he’d be a professional dancer, culinary school had ended up being his calling.

Little things about Albert start to filter into Race’s awareness. Like the way he quirks one side of his mouth a little higher than the other when he laughs, or how he scrunches his nose a little and furrows his eyebrows when he’s filming. He’s got that kind of charming, self-deprecating humor, where he’s always cracking jokes, but only at his own expense, making him approachable and likable. When he’s telling stories, his voice always pitches a little different, captivating whoever’s listening. But when someone else is talking, he gives his full, unwavering attention.

It makes Race feel interesting and important. Like what he has to say matters.

It’s a sunny Friday and the two of them are sitting in a small sandwich shop in Brooklyn. Albert is retelling some ridiculous story about how he got a cab driver to bring him to a veterinarian for free, because he found an injured pigeon. His meatball sub is long since forgotten and Race notices that he has a little sauce on his cheek.

He’s just about to reach out to wipe it off when he realizes it.

He’s kind of in love with Albert Dasilva.

Huh. Crazy.

“Hey, so I was thinking we could go try out that new bubble tea place over on 14th?”

Race lifts his head from his pillow, blinking blearily at where Albert’s leaning against his doorframe. It’s Saturday and they’d spent the night previous in some club getting spectacularly drunk and naturally, Race is hungover as shit. But Albert doesn’t get hungover, the motherfucker.

He scrubs a hand down his face and Albert watches with a smirk as he struggles to sit up.

“Yeah,” Race says, “Yeah, I’m down, just,” he rolls his stiff neck, wincing as it cracks, “gimme a few minutes to freshen up.”

“No prob,” Albert says, sidling out of the room, “We can grab greasy breakfast for you somewhere as well!”

“You’re a saint!” Race calls back.

A half hour later, they’re bumping shoulders as they venture through The Village, keeping an eye on Albert’s google maps as they look for ‘Bubbleology’, the new fangled cafe Jack and Katherine had been insisting they try.

“So, the Air and Space Museum in DC is having an exhibit on Mars next weekend and I was thinking we could pop down to see it?”

Albert perks up, looking away from his phone to give Race an excited smile, “Really? Wait, how did you know about that and I didn’t?”

Race blushes a little, shoving his hands in his pockets, “It’s your birthday coming up, so I was looking for things to do and...yeah.”

“Aww,” Albert nudges him, but Race can see him flush, “That’s sweet, I’d love to- shit, Race, careful!”

Race gasps, freezing as a car speeds towards him. The only unfrozen part of his mind is screaming that the crosswalk says they can walk, so why isn’t that car fucking stopping and-

He feels a hand grip his bicep, yanking him back towards the sidewalk and all cognition slams back into him as he and Albert fall onto the pavement.

“-Fucking ASSHOLE, watch it!” Albert’s screaming uselessly after the car, but Race isn’t registering it. Not completely anyway.

He takes a moment to assess himself, breathing deeply as he becomes increasingly aware that he almost fucking died, but he didn’t thanks to Albert.

Albert looks down when Race tugs on his sleeve, “Are you okay? Jesus, that was- mmph.”

Race pulls him down, crashing their lips together. For a moment, Albert’s frozen against him, then he relaxes into the kiss, reaching up a hand to cradle Race’s jaw. They kiss for a while, until Race remembers that they’re quite literally sitting in the middle of a sidewalk and pulls away.

Albert opens his eyes, looking slightly dazed, “Whoa.”

Race bites his lip, suddenly unsure, “Sorry?”

“No,” Albert’s eyes widen, “No, don’t apologize, that- no, that was okay.”

“Yeah?”

“Yes,” Albert says, hoisting Race to his feet and pulling him in for another kiss, “Very okay.”

When they break apart again, they’re both laughing, foreheads resting against one anothers.

“Hey,” Race whispers, waiting until Albert’s eyes meet his to continue, “I like you.”

Albert rolls his eyes, but it’s fond, “I like you, too, dumbass. Maybe those FBI guys actually were onto something.”

Race smiles, goofy and genuine, “Yeah, maybe.”

They stand there for another moment, enjoying each other’s embrace. Then, Albert steps away abruptly, grabbing Race’s hand and pulling him down the street.

“C’mon, I still want bubble tea.”

It’s Race’s turn to roll his eyes, “Idiot.”

“Yeah, butcha love me.”

“You got me there.”

Favourite Character: Steven

Least Favourite Character: Eh. I do t really like anyone the LEAST but it took me a long time to drink that Big Buff Cheeto Puff stan juice. Really, season 5 is where I actually started to like Jasper.

My top 5 ships: Steven and Connie (is there ship name Stevnonie or is that their own thing with them being a fusion?), Ruby/Sapphire (Gaaarnet???), Pearl and Rose, Rose and Greg, Sadie and Lars (rip to that one)

Character I find most attractive: I mean, I think I gotta go with Garnet. I mean, she just loves herself and loves being herself so much. That is attractive on anyone.

Who I would marry: Uhhh. *thinks way too long on this one* probably... *thinks more* I dunno man. I think I need a Steven lol so lets go with that.

Beat friends with: I think Connie and I could vibe. I fuckin love rollerscating, being friends with people who are way smarter than me, and swords.

Unpopular Opinion: I think that Greg should have been a bigger part of Steven's life in the show and in general. Yeah, he went and lived with the gems because they hand a house so they could raise Steven, but Rose had Steven eith Greg. Greg is Steven's father and while I am 100% for there being 4 (7 if you count ruby, sapphire, and Garnet lol) parental figures, but I think the human Male influence should have been for him more. The kid,like, hit puberty alone in space surrounded by fem alien rocks and you are telling me Greg WASNT THERE TO HELP HIM!?

Canon OTP: I have been staring at a picture of Connie and Steven kissing for about 3 hours now.

Non-Canon OTP: Ummm oh, i totally forgot about Pearl and that pink haired human chick. LOVE that for Pearl.

Badass Character: I think they are all pretty badass? But Lapis and her water powers man- WHOO! Off the rocker Steven is also pretty cool tho

Epic Villain: Gotta hand it to Jasper, man. She was constant and persistent through almost all the seasons. She did not give up on trying to get Steven even if the worries of the Crystal Gems were turning towards the Diamonds

Pair that I'm not a fan of: Eh I didnt really get the Amethyst and Pearl ship. I mean, there is some awesome fan art, but I dont really see where it is coming from.

Character I feel the writers screwed up: I think there was so much love and effort put into making Peridot a crystal gem and then we just like almost never see it. I think they really dropped the ball with her.

Favourite friendship: I think the way Steven just gets along with Onion is super fuckin cute? And doesnt get talked about enough because Onion is 1000% a demon and no one talks about that either.

Character I identify with: Probably Steven. A hot mess who probably needs a therapist? Check. Their parent lied about who they were for a majority of their life and then had them to possibly cover it up/actually wanted to have a child? Check. Same sex parental figures who are lowkey fighting all the time? Check. Sorta round and looks like they could cuddle? *slaps gut* DAMN RIGHT

I wish I was: Lemme be Garnet. Or end of the series Amethyst. Lemme have dat self loooooove

favorite thing about them:

miku sounds!! so!! good!!! theres a reason shes cryptons mascot vocaloid. honestly if you can tune her well it can end up a masterpiece. and also just how much people care about her. the best thing about vocaloid is how much our favorite producers and really just the fanbase cares and makes us love these characters!! vocaloid as a concept comes down to what the community makes of it and the community has made me love miku.

random headcanon:

miku loves sweaters. she never gets to wear them because crypton is like YOU MAY ONLY WEAR REVEALING OUTFITS SO PEOPLE BUY YOUR MERCH but when she gets any free time she will immediately get an oversized sweater and just vibe. maybe with a movie playing. and popcorn. and rin. and rin and her start throwing popcorn at eachother during a really serious scene and ruin the movie but its okay cause they had fun which is what really matters to them and—

i guess a bonus one: since theyre androids they cant experience a lot of the stuff theyre singing about (darker stuff like losing a loved one or something as simple as food) so miku especially will look at the lyrics and try VERY HARD to imagine what all this would actually feel like. being virtual has its downsides yall!!

unpopular opinion:

other vocaloids deserve more attention, but that doesnt mean miku is overrated!! shes good and deserves the hype and just because others do as well but dont get it doesnt mean she shouldnt have it either.

rick riordan, marissa meyer and michelle rowen. i’ve read their books throughout middle school and high school and i still find myself going back to reread their books because i just love how their words flow as well as how engaging their plots are. i honestly hope i can reach rick riordan levels of skill whenever i get around to finishing my own novel!

not really refuse to play - more like i’m eh with. if only because en used to be my main chara for a long time like, i was so deep into the magical boy lore that a good chunk of my headcanons became canon. but also it just…leaves a bad taste in my mouth even more so since the drama that happened in that fandom left me filled with fear and hesitance to rp for a good chunk like before. it just brings back bad memories and i thought i was moving past it when i was thinking about using him for reese but alas. some memories don’t leave

maybe one day i’ll either get to write en again or i can use his face as fc but we’ll see

☂ How does your muse spend a rainy day? How do you spend a rainy day?

haneul: he loves the rain and he’ll spend it either under an umbrella or just sitting there in the rain just letting it wash away his thoughts and fears for a little bit

eiji: he’d spend it indoors playing a video game or playing with seto

reese: he’d prob be dumb and splash in the puddles because he likes to enjoy the little things. other times he’ll just ignore it and stay indoors either hanging with friends or studying and practicing his magic for his school’s next tournament

sage: i like to spend it just lookin out my window with my kitty on my chest. i love the sound of it against the sidewalk and streets.

This is a hard one, cause in all honestly I’ve always had a firm sense of how the world works. If anything films/books like Star Wars, LOTR simply solidified my views. That the world will continue on, cause there’s always someone out there who will fight for whats right.

2. What’s your favorite fictional trope?

I’m always a sucker for height difference, it appears in my writing more often than I care to admit XD. But I like the concept of war couples where the wife is taller than the man, bonus points if the wife is another species, elf, alien, even a giantess in one of my stories.

More recently I’ve stumbled into the idea of soul bound characters, as in when the two are physically close they can somewhat feel each other’s emotions, maybe even help soothe the other in times of crisis.

3. Why in the blue-hell did you join Tumblr?

For @sai-shou‘s work in all honesty. I loved the way she illustrated her characters, kind of a mix between Okami and traditional watercolors. I wanted to follow her art, and become a patron on Patreon. Lately though she’s moved into other forms of work, but I’m still happy to follow her progress whatever it is.

I also found a friend in @xavirne, a fellow writer in the Overwatch fandom, which got me to stay. So theres that :)

4. What career did you want to have in high school and has that changed or stayed the same now?

I’ve wanted to be a writer/director for film since i was twelve, which as of last November has been eleven years. I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelors in that very thing. Work’s... been slow, but I’m acting in a local film production so thats cool.

5. What was the first band you got wildly obsessed with?

Easy, Stray Cats lead by Brian Setzer, love that rockabilly vibe.

6. What song do you love but are completely embarrassed by?

I dunno... i really don't have any shame when it comes to the music I enjoy. Closest thing i can think of is maybe Jonathan Coultons cover of Baby Got Back?

Summing things up

- why would 9 ships and 9 crews go out to retrieve one DEAD planet in stasis? What were they going to do with that? Why was Umsang insistent that the DEAD (!) planet was worth not coming back for the crew for? It was apparently, dead!

- if the crews were trying to kill Tim Shaw and keep him from doing those things again, maybe, that would have been an interesting extra influence on Graham's intention to do the same. that also would have made it an actual BATTLEFIELD with intents to KILL.

- why hoard people in stasis when Tim Shaw denounces that practice as inferior to his planet hoarding? (Could have implied that the Ux set it up so that stasis people bled their life energy through the tubes into Tim)

- why did Tim Shaw wait with stealing Earth? He's got the tech to do it. why would he assume that the Doctor would show up eventually? ? (For that matter, why would he assume she cares about Earth so much that it would count as 'revenge' to steal/destroy it)

- if the Ux are creators and Tim Shaw a god through them, how come he didn't gather all of the stenza race around him?

- why didn't the madmaking planet vibes have an (obvious) effect on Tim Shaw? Why didn't they have an effect on the Ux? (Because they live there you say - but what kind of thing does that say about their powers? What does that say about their faith??)

- they keep warning Graham that Tim Shaw is a super soldier he can't take on, but Tim tries to kill him with his bare hands when graham's got a GUN (nicked from Tim's OWN sniperbots) and so Tim is defeated laughably and ridiculously easily. It epitomises the complete lack of a sense of danger for the companions that this season brings. It's only reinforced by the Doctor's zero worry at sending a normal untrained granddad and grandson into extremely hostile situations completely ALONE. (It's not so much 'dont wander off' getting ignored as 'go wander off! Fend for yourself !')

- why talk about earth as though they're in the present (7 billion people) when they're 4000 years into the future

- why show that the Doctor has a convenient extra neural inhibitor, then make a big deal out of Yaz and the Doctor giving up theirs to stop the Ux implying she conveniently doesn't have any more. And then let that have zero consequences?? Pointless diversion.

- why call bots that can't shoot for shit SNIPERbots

- something about the Doctor's 'my moral rules change all the time' & 'i manipulate you to keep to them' & 'if you kill to stop a serial killer/genocider then you're as bad as him and you can't travel with me, but I'm not telling you about my past in which I was exactly that and the narrative isn't going to draw that parallel either so it cant ACTUALLY be read as a protective (don't be like me) ultimatum to Graham' didnt sit right with me.

- why have Paltraki tell us they're planets when the Doctor should have figured it out.

- why have Delph (love that guy) be so obviously martyred (Jezus pose) by the one other member of his species and let him express zero negative feelings about that - or even let him wave it away as 'eh we're immortal and it's just us, can't exactly leave her behind'. He was 17 when they came across Tim Shaw, he possibly spent thousands of years chained up and USED for atrocities.

- why not draw a parallel to the Doctor and the Master...

- The Doctor is right! The Ux are fascinating! How could it be that Tim Shaw managed to manipulate them? Why not go into the theme of Faith vs. Understanding? Faith can be shaped by certain understandings (Tim Shaw is the creator), the world cannot be understood fully, but we should strive for understanding, because otherwise we can be taken advantage of, and also it's fun to try and understand (the Doctor's little speech before she steps back into the TARDIS). Could have gone into the generational conflict there.

Now they were...plot devices.

My tags got fucked up??? why does god inconvenience me at every turn?. I'll just put em her instead. Okay so

1) Let danny be an asshole. Hes 14, hes a little shit and uwu-fying him ruins his character. Kid straight up called the GIW on Vlads ass with no hesitation. Danny woke up that morning and chose violence.

2) I dont like it when people refer to Dani as 'Elle/Ellie'. I think she should take the name Dani as her own. Like it's her name? She shouldn't have to change it just because Danny had the name first and that shes his clone. I of course get WHY people call her Elle/Ellie instead, a Dani, a Danny and a Dan all in the same show can get confusing but still. It's her original name, let her have it.

Power move; refering to Danny as Daniel to differenciate the two

3) I dont actually like any danny phantom ships. Everlasting Trio and Grey Ghost are fine I guess, they just dont vibe with me. Tbh my favourite dp ships are crossover ships and even then theres not alot for Danny where I'm thinking 'Oh Hell Yeah'. Crash Course by Carmic on ao3 did in fact make me fall in love with the idea of Jazz Fenton/ Jason Todd, because they both deserve good things and it's really fucking funny. Like poor Jazz cant escape the whole 'black haired blue eyed guy who died at 14/15 and was revived in some way by a glowing pit of green liquid, thus giving them white hair and glowing green eyes (but only sometimes) who have very complicated relationships with their parents due to their untimely death, who has an older sibling with older sister syndrome, fights using ranged weapons/powers, is a hero (at least to some degree) and is widely headcanoned as having autopsy scars'. Like girl cannot catch a break huh. Danny/tim drake and Danny/Peter parker are good crossover ships too ig. Just. Eh. Aro/Ace Danny is superior Danny

4) Wes and Kyle are alright. I dont really think we need anymore family lore (or lore in general) but they're just. Funny lil guys, what can I say. I can definitely understand why people wouldnt like them though.

5) 'Jack and Maddie love their kids' and 'Jack and Maddie are terrible parents' are not mutually exclusive statements. I dont even think I have to get into the reasons as for why that is because there are already a bunch of posts that explain it better than I could, but danny and jazz should be taken out of that house.

6) Let All of the Fentonshave something be inherently creepy and ghostly about them even before the portal opens. They've been surrounded by/consuming ectoplasm for most/ all their lives. That's bound to do something to a person. Like let them develop supernatural traits (like obsessions/ superhuman strength/reflective eyes). Let them be creepy and fucked up

7) I dont like alot of the designs in the show. Mainly of ghosts like pandora or pariah dark. Just a personal thing I guess. Also stop having all the girls in the show wearing crop tops its creepy. Dani is like 11 (right?)

8) someone already said it here but I really like the idea of some ghosts either just; (a) being dead people/creatures (ex ember), (b) being lil ghost babies. Products of a ghost getting some D, or (c) just showing up one day (the minor god ghosts, because they... exist)

9) Dadwork is incredibly funny and can be very wholesome but hes also an asshole and you've gotta keep that

10) I like ghost king Danny but only if (a) he doesnt know at all and is like, 'damn, kinda crazy how clockwork is making me help keep the peace between these two areas of the GZ, shouldn't the king be doing this instead???', (b) he is actually crown prince and once he reaches the human age of 18 he will become king and is just frantically trying to do everything he wants to do before being tied down to Responsibilities, (c) he is being dragged around kicking and screaming while ghosts beg him to do his job please Phantom were begging you-, or (d) he really doesnt like being ghost king but he recognises the power he now has and will now make that everyone else's problem. Causes casual mischief under the guise of politics.

11) How Vlad, Danny and Dani age should be all out of wack. Having them age normally is (a) boring, and (b) kinda ignores that they either died or were made half dead and I think that should idk. Interrupt the natural progression of aging for them? And I think it should be different for all 3 of them too! Since vlad was made a halfa slowly I think he should age very slowly, but still age. I think Dani should age REALLY fast because of the shenanigans of being a clone, but her aging could be slowed down or stopped using something, maybe like eveline from re7. I think danny either shouldn't age at all OR only age for like 2-5 years after he died. Having them age normally takes away from the biggest drawbacks of their powers, which is being dead.

12) I dont like when crossover fics start off with the nasty burger explosion, or his family being dead (just in general) and either being kidnapped by the GIW or getting shipped off to some previously unknown family members. Alot of the fun in crossovers is to see all the characters from both series interact? And starting off with 'uh oh, Danny's family just died and now hes very sad and upset about this!' Kinda ruins it for me personally. Theres definitely ways to make it work well! I just dont see the appeal lol

13) speaking of crossovers, there should be more Dp x Dc crossovers!! Like dude cmon. Theres a Lazarus pit right there. John Constantine is right there. JASON TODD IS RIGHT THERE. They would work SO well in a crossover, and there should be more. Also let Danny freak out about meeting Martian manhunter and miss Martian k thanks
