i haven't played minecraft in years, but with the armadillo winning the vote, i think about how wolves don't really have much going on in terms of their utility. like anytime i tame a wolf, i end up just kinda keeping them sitting at home.

i think if mojang really does feel like wolves are deserving of armour, with the addition of armadillos, they really need to update wolves to be more useful as companion mobs, because personally... i never feel the urge to bring a wolf with me when im going out to do things, especially if it involves combat.

like, what do dogs do best? fetching stuff and digging, right? like i wish that i could just mill about with a wolf and they track a scent or something and start digging into the dirt and then proceed to bring you that item. like it could range from rarely digging up iron nuggets to digging up vegetables or whatever, yknow. combine the fetching stuff with combat and you wouldn't have to manually pick up stray arrows or items from mobs your wolf kills.

the only other thing i wish you could do with wolves is automate their health in some way, like give more utility to the bowl item so you can place it down for them to eat from so you don't have to constantly manage their health by looking at their tail. just minor quality of life stuff i guess.

idk, that's just my thoughts. i do like wolves in minecraft, they just feel rather lacking with the way some new mobs have so much going on, like the sniffer and allay and so on.

This has been sitting on my mind a lot lately but it seems extra relevant now with the way Tommy and by extension Lou has been criticized for acting “too gay” in ep 5. And while yes, I will agree Tommy acted slightly different in ep 5, it has absolutely everything to do with Lou’s incredible acting choices to play Tommy differently when he is around people he deems as “safe” which is much better explained in this amazing post here <-

All these complains are doing is just yet again exposing buddies as homophobes who are, at the end of the day. Uncomfortable with real queerness being shown infront of them. Of course we already knew this with how they react to Buck and Tommy kissing and god forbid flirting especially if it has sexual implications like the daddy kink scene.

They can’t possibly fathom their precious uwu baby Buck would be sexual with another man so they spin and twist it however they can to make it out to be, “NO! You see! Tommy started the flirting! Tommy is just an insatiable horny gay man! He only wants sex! Like most of them do!”

I now have something probably controversial to say but oh well, im going to say it anyway.

A good many of these shippers would be deeply uncomfortable with Buddie actually becoming canon, because they would be nothing like their fanfic. They don’t want to see two men in a relationship, they want to see Eddie in a relationship with the character they project themselves onto.

There are so many examples of this but perhaps the biggest being the way Buck is made out to be the “woman” in the relationship and especially how he is made to be the “mom”

Buck and Tommy’s relationship 1st does not have any children involved so there are no gendered roles to be assigned (even though if there was.. theyd just both be a dad), they are both beefy and the same height, which is what people usually use to decide “top” and “bottom” but again since there is little physical difference between them, they cannot do this, which only adds to their uncomfortableness.

Furthermore, I would go as far to say that Buddie shippers dont actually like Buck.

A while back a shipper posted this analysis of Buddie, that essentially reduces Buck to a dog. A pet. Only to be let out of the bedroom to cook and take care of Chris, otherwise he’s meant only for Eddie’s pleasure.

Which, disgusting. But the thing that stood out most to me was how Tommy was criticized for

letting Buck be himself. For accepting and loving him flaws and all. For not trying to change anything, or “train” the bad out of him

While Eddie was the “trainer” in that scenario, that had to train the bad out of Buck in order for him to be acceptable.

And thats the funny thing isnt it? Buddie shippers have to completely warp and destroy Buck’s character to make him fit their mold of perfect partner for Eddie. They make him out to be this helpless person who can’t even tell Tommy he doesnt want to be called Evan, that needs rescuing from Tommy, that is a “mother figure” to Chris, that his “dream role” would be live in chef and maid for the diaz family..

When none of that is Buck.

Buck is a smart, independent and strong man. He has worked tirelessly on himself to know who he is and what he wants, which right now? Is with Tommy.

Bringing it back to my main point, their complaints of Tommy being more gay and Bucktommy intimacy ultimately just boil down to homophobia plain and simple, seeing real queer representation and not representation that they can specifically twist and cater to themselves through fic, headcanons or gifs, makes them uncomfortable

(could this be why so many of them ignore shows with canon m/m ships for favor of shows with fanon ones that will never actually happen? So they can make these demands for representation then shit on it as soon as they get it because its not fanfic? Its not their fetish specifically catered to them? and i was thinking of how lando has said that he uses the hate he receives as fuel to do better. 2024 was obviously very negative in terms of how lando was perceived, but otherwise a very positive year for lando overall.

i was thinking of how lando had gotten pole in the past five races or something and lost the position at lap 1, and then he performed singapore. and then i was thinking of how everyone wanted ferrari to win and mclaren to lose, and when lando was on pole, everyone acted like ferrari had basically won, and then he performed abu dhabi.

if lando uses the hate as a fuel, it would be good to a certain extent. but, you add the overthinking habit of his, and thats where it all goes down. cause, then, you need to be careful of that fine line of where he can use it as a motivator and where it starts to bring him down.

like, before brazil, the usual comments about him were about his starts, about his teammate being better than him, about his ego. after brazil, it became about losing six positions, and the out of context quote, and the championship slipping away completely.

and then i was thinking and connecting it to andrea. about how he never praises lando and maybe that makes lando want to work even harder, do even better. i dont remember if mclaren did a post race debrief on instagram, so i can't tell for sure if andrea said anything about lando then. but, what i do remember is the interview that lando did with the telegraph after his birthday, the painful one, the one where he was talking about how he hadn't slept for 48 hours. i remember lando mentioning in that interview that andrea did help him out of that spiral.

im not praising andrea in this, i promise. he may have gotten us the wcc win, but he, in no way or form, backed lando for the wdc when it mattered. i honestly dont even know the point of this rant, i was just thinking thoughts and im telling you cause we're married now so you have no choice but to read all of these.

i remember reading about interviews and general norrussell lore about how george would jokingly make fun of lando and his races, and lando would use that as a motivator. i remember reading about how george had made a joke in sochi, and lando had taken it harder than george thought he would, so he checked on lando himself and made sure that lando understood that he didn't mean it in a malicious intent, but rather in their usual banter way.

this did not have a point. im sorry. i was thinking thoughts. i guess, the end whatever of this is that lando needs to play jumprope with that line between motivation and overthinking.

but yknow what the thing is. if (read as: when) starts winning every race or every other race, its not like the hate comments are going to stop. theyre going to continue, and as long as theyre about the usual things (ego, pia>nor, blah blah blah), lando can very well use it as a motivator and win more.

also, praying that mcl fixes their starts issue, because we know lando's gonna have a lot of poles this season, and we need that start issue FIXED.

i think it's a veryyyy big risk take to use hate as fuel sometimes, but then when i do think about it, the more lando's gonna win, the more hate he will get (i guess that's just how it is in sports, notwithstanding the unnecessary, quite immature vitriol tho). and, you see, when that does happen, i hope he uses it more as a 'i'm too good and they still can't accept that' instead of a 'what am i doing wrong?'

unfortunately he'll never be everybody's cup of tea (that is the case for all drivers, however, more evidently for lando than anybody sadly), but that doesn't mean he's nobody's cup of tea, and i do hope it gets to a point where he uses his support as his catalyst, than just the hate. i mean, at the end of the day, lando has absolutely nothing to prove. he finished almost 100 points ahead of his teammate, went from 0 wins to 4 in a matter of one season, out-qualified oscar 20-4, helped mclaren really take that wcc for themselves— it's all there for people to see. fans who have rocks for brains can still spew the whole 'oscar is better than lando', and whether they truly believe that or not, i don't care, but it's simply not true. perhaps they say it out of spite, just so they have something against lando, but i'll be damned if someone who finished that far behind their teammate... is better than them? yeah okay. (also perceive this how you want, but i am far from an oscar hater, and the truth is gonna be the truth no matter how you interpret this.)

anyways anyways i'm going off track. lando can certainly use the 'who's better?' debate as a motivator, absolutely. as for andrea... i need that italian hobbit to pattern up and show support to the driver who completely deserves it, instead of being apathetic in public, and consoling in private. it does nothing but fuel the antis, that even his own team principal isn't backing him. and it'll continue to push the pia>nor rhetoric no matter how good lando performs.

actually im making this its own post. the thing about the hunters gonna lay low is that its exactlyyyyyy what i want out of a fantasy romance. i love high stakes and unrealistic drama - life-threatening situations and monsters and magic and all manner of situations that dont happen in real life. and i love this as a setting for romance because it means you can create a lot of conflict that doesnt have to do with the characters feelings for each other - sure, you can still have arguments and complicated feelings, but throwing the characters into these high stakes situations creates a lot of flavour - high intensity emotions and conflict that arent just from within their relationship, yknow?

the problem with most fantasy ive read that also has romance is exactly that - its fantasy, with a side of romance. theres romance, sure, and a lot of times side romances do have these high-intensity moments im looking for, but usually the author is spending more time on worldbuilding or political drama or yknow. the plot. nothing wrong with that - i like an intense action plot without romance. its why i read a lot of fantasy. but i think ive really been hurting for a story that has this kind of high-stakes drama, but makes the relationship a more central part of the story. and ive had no luck with romance with a side of fantasy, either - most romance stories ive encountered are about very typical romance-style relationship drama, even if they take place in a fantasy setting. jealousy and miscommunication and will-they-wont-they. again, nothing wrong with that, its just not really my style.

and this is why all my ships of choice are Like That. its always an action story with a pairing of major characters who have a deep relationship - they have history, they care for each other a lot, they click with each other in a way they dont with anyone else....... the kind of thing where the growth and development of their relationship is a big part of who they both are. and then putting them in high stakes scenarios where they almost die all the time. you get it. the thing is that ive never really encountered one of these where the relationship was canonically romantic - which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but again, romance can add a lot of unique flavour! its why i read a lot of slash fic lol

[the closest ive gotten to this before would be banana fish, and i love banana fish so much i basically dont have anything to say about it. what is there to say? watch banana fish.] [hmm and maybe alien stage? alien stage is just so short though - not a lot of time to get to know the characters before they die yk.] [and notice how these are both tragedies???? i love tragedy but man. i do want a happy ending sometimes...... although i havent actually finished thgll so i guess this one could be a tragedy too 😩😩 pleeeease i just want them to be happy.......]

but here it is!!! the kind of story about a duo whose lives become intertwined through the high stakes fantasy plot, who care very deeply for each other and have history and keep watching each other almost die, and also they kiss!!!! its honestly a little frightening how well it suits my tastes - i can almost see the way the author is using the fantasy setting to deliberately further the relationship between these two, because its the kind of thing i do to whatever blorbos im rotating in my brain like a binary star system this month. but because the characters were actually created with romance in mind its like. cranked up to 11. like what do you mean cha euijae is the only person who can safely touch lee sayoung????? hello????? and the soul contract???? the alternate timeline?????? the BACKSTORY?????? i dont want to spoil too much but like. it really is just so good. its exactly the kind of thing i didnt know i was looking for.

and like. not only is the fantasy setting perfectly implemented for this more relationship-focused story. its also just really interesting in its own right?? like im hooked. im absolutely invested in these two trying to stop the apocalypse, save the world, and maybe avoid dying and leaving the other behind (again) in the process. im having the time of my fucking life right now

these are just my thoughts about some stuff md does that i personally didn't like!! take it all with a pinch of salt + i dont usually write stuff like this so i will love a discussion but pls be nice...lol

i think its weakest point is its conclusion, because, if they reiterated like 30,000 times that jack is NOT immortal bc of his blood, has nothing to do with it, why on earth is that the entire basis of the miracle? like yes, it eats the blood, so it thinks its the blueprint for humanity, but surely jack's blood is just normal? i think they kinda get away with it bc of how weird everything is, but MAN i wanted that miracle to be aliens so damn bad! i suppose in the case of This One Time, earth is the alien planet.

and please do not even get me started about rex becoming immortal. if there had been a 5th season, i would have let it slide, but the fact that is the conclusion for the television show is just absolutely insane to me??? LIKE WHAT! insanity. but this is an insane show. i also kind of think they shouldn't have killed esther, but i also think they should have not killed any torchwood member anyway because i get attached to them all, so the fact that she was inexperienced it made loads of sense that she died, but like, damn...right before they saved the day? misery.

i guess this is because it's implied the story of miracle day was to continue, but i felt like there was so many things going on in comparison to coe. there were a few episodes that really could have spent more time on one thing than the other. is this also because i think we could have gotten more about angelo? maybe...

to be honest, i genuinely think the best part of miracle day is jilly kitzinger. like yeah, that is the EXACT response a big company would have to this situation, and to really make you remember this is a BAD THING this charming character is doing, you have to watch her big up a horrible person! (and the second best thing is gwen and jack, but thats like, duh)

i really wanted to add all this stuff in the tags of that post but i was actually going to write an ESSAY in tag form so decided to spare you all. i'd love to hear you guys' thoughts cos reading the tags on that post has been really cool! as most of you said, i agree with how heart wrenching coe is. its so good at showing how each character would act and genuinely ianto's death, as traumatising as it was, just shows you how he would follow jack to the ends of the earth by the end of his time in torchwood...which is such a stark contrast to the beginning of his time there and how he literally states how much he hates him in broken.

but as for tips.. I feel like I'm terrible at giving concrete and bullet pointed lists of tips, but I can try to share my thoughts on my writing process!

there are no rights and wrongs when you write, I think it has to do with finding a way that suits you and that allows you to work comfortably. — I personally always want to have a rough idea of who my mcs are before I start writing.

I'm gonna be using the redemption of Choi Yeonjun as an example for this since I feel like most of you guys have read it :3

before I even started writing I knew that I wanted the reader to have certain traits, shy/nerdy/introverted etc.. and I knew that I wanted Yeonjun to be the opposite, extroverted/cocky/mean. — when you know who your mcs are, the writing itself becomes so much easier because you acquaint yourself with your characters in a way!

as for writing itself, once you know your mcs, the scenes will start appearing before you. now I like to write my fics from start to finish, meaning I write everything in the order it gets posted, that's something that works best for me. but a lot of writers just jump straight into whatever scene pops up in their mind, and then connect it to the rest of the story. again, you should write in a way that makes sense for you and makes you feel comfortable!

I think a lot of writers’ main issue on here is that they get self aware of their audience. you might find yourself editing things out because you think that others might not like it, or even as you're writing you water it down because it should appeal to the standard Tumblr keeps. DONT DO THAT.

when you write, write down every single word that pops into your head. it doesn't matter if it looks messy or if its grammatically incorrect, you can always go back and edit later! — but it's important that you allow your ideas and thoughts to flow freely when you write.

you said that you tend to think "is this necessary", my answer to that is, the idea surfaced in your mind for a reason. you wouldn't have thought of this specific line or this specific scene if it wasn't necessary. write it down! and when you read back, if you find that it sounds weird, you can always always change it. nothing in this world is permanent.

as for details, what are even details? I personally think that details might be the subtle traits of the mcs that aren't directly flaunted. things that you have to read between the lines to catch and things that at the time might seem insignificant but in the end ties the entire fic together. — this brings me back to my previous statement about letting your thoughts flow freely! your mind is an incredible place and you will subconsciously add a lot of these details without even noticing them yourself if you allow yourself to feel free when you write!

so I guess my biggest tip is to just forget about everyone else and write what your heart tells you to! don't let your mind shut out your own feelings in favour of the larger masses waiting to read your fics.

believe in yourself and appreciate your beautiful mind. give yourself more credit for your hard work, you totally deserve it!

and if it where some sort of descendant from the mix of kids rauru and sonai kinda .. must have had (unless they did away with zeldas bloodline stuff too .. which .. why even call it zelda anymore at this point lol) then again, where did those features come from (like the tail and red hair, the strange googly eyes? is there a mix of goron in there too??) and how was it then not documented or seen anywhere else?? youd imagine the mutant kids of the first tragically dead king and queen of this hyrule would be known in some way .. that is assuming it was that, but given the weird features no other species has still is ... it just doesnt add up

(i had the awful thoguht for a second that it might supposed to mean the gerudo came from that but .. the gerudo are already there LITERALLY the 1:1 same as in the present, just like all the other species ... which is also disappointing as hell, like seriously? not even different feather colors for the rito? literally the same clothing for the gerudo as in botw but white with golden stuff instead?? some vaguely different zora features? idk ? anything? also the hero would never be gerudo, we know only evil comes from that *explodes*)

if its supposed to be a mystery then they absolutely failed in making it any interesting or intriguing but still something that feels like its part of the world, like botw was very good at giving you mysteries you wanted to talk and theorize about that still felt organic, harmonic with the world, but in totk its all either boring answers or just ... completely out of nowhere and just kinda stumps you (in a bad way)

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

Tsubaki: I have a thing for morally dubious/evil found families, especially when their leader has simultaneously killed a ton of people/seems evil, but at the same time has a massive bleeding heart and cant resist reaching out to people in need, as in they are almost always my faves. Tsubaki fits all of these.

Shamrock: Honestly I like characters who have conflicting loyalties, and Shamrocks whole thing which having been a c3 agent is so fun.

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

Tsubaki: His relationship with team M and how flowers are a big thing to him mainly because his little sister loved them.

Shamrock: Belkia regularly sends him those fake recipe videos like How to Basic being all like "Heeeey sham you should try to make this! They look good!" He always watches because sometimes Belkia sends genuine recipes that do end up Really Really good.

Tsubaki: idk why but i can see him using heart emojis alot, especially when talking to team m.

Hey!! I was curious, since I know I see you post amazing content all the time -- do you tend to keep your mods under a certain number? Like, I dont know if there is an actual "mod limit" with cyberpunk, but with all the pose packs, props, etc, do you tend to worry about how many are in your folder or worry about crashes? Or do you usually organize them by which shoots youre going to be doing that day?

Hey there! And thanks for the kind words! 💙

I don't have a specific limit for my mods (I think right now I probably have about 400 installed), but I do try to do some mod folder cleanup every few months, especially if I'm noticing performance issues. I actually just did a fresh install when I updated to 2.2 so this is probably the lightest my mod folder has been in years, lmao.

I'm pretty picky about clothing mods--I have a lot of staples for my V that are permanent, but if I find I'm not using something that often, I'll remove it. And if I do a random costume shoot (like this fantasy set or Miranda's outfit), I usually remove those once I'm done with the shot. I also have a hard rule that I don't use clothing mods larger than 1 GB because that is just completely unnecessary!!

I treat pose packs similarly--If I notice I'm constantly skipping a pack while I'm cycling through the list, I'll remove them.

Prop packs lately have been the mods that have given me the most trouble with crashing so I also keep those pretty limited, and I've been a lot stricter about removing packs if they cause even one crash. (Although I'd like add more RAM to my computer in the next few months, and that might help with some of them).

And I try to keep scripts or mods that do a lot of overhauls to a minimum. Like Photo Mode Unlocker (PMU) used to cause notable performance issues for me, so I haven't bothered with that since updating to 2.2. Most custom poses don't need it anymore, and PhotoMode-EX adds in the extra functionality I want from vanilla photomode.

So yeah, I hope that answers your question! I guess the tl;dr is that I don't have a hard limit, but I do try to keep things tidy and monitor performance so I'm not dealing with crashes constantly.

for someone who particularly enjoys looking at shoes, i sure as hell dont draw them much.

i left their plot vague for a few reasons; wiggle room and potential to add more. its mostly just going to be cool tropes i saw and liked. nothing will be too set in stone, more so a common theme that might reoccur every now and then.

basic premise of the au that vaguely follows the 'canon', urrrr;

samael volkov, mid 30s, calm and collected, doesnt tolerate rudeness. french-slavic and a normal human. smokes, and drinks socially. cold hands.

ciel, looks to be in his mid 20s but act somewhat immature; hot and cold. one hell of a drinker but never seems to get drunk and never fail to make a disgusted expression whenever he sips on his alcohol. ขี้หนาว, easily cold despite the literal and metaphorical air of coldness that permeate from his very pores.

ciel sporadically frequents the bar that sam works at, usually with a dark expression on his face; a tick in his jaw and furrowed brows. sams bar, [punny name here], just so happens to be where a lot of stubborn souls running away from death tends to flee to. Last drink before death eat them alive or whatever.

ciel and sam became reluctant acquaintances simply because sam was trying to keep track of the patron that often took a tipsy person home, only for said person to be declared missing and presumed dead. only the lucky(?) few made it out alive, a former shell of themselves.

sam surprisingly didnt tip the police about ciel ,but its not like they could do anything either— they seem to be rather tight-lipped with the disappearances in the area. thats what got ciel curious about sam.

wanted to make tipping a thing, but it doesnt make sense anywhere else that paid their employees livable wage. but tipping is always nice! (additionally, the setting could be in canada. since to my understanding, theres a good population of french speaking people and the other let them. and its cold too.)

(nevermind, tipping is a thing but frown upon by businesses. its as if the customers are implying that they arent paying their employees enough, hence the tipping— a fun dynamic, i thunk!)

i did make sams design intentionally bland. the piercings were purely self-indulgent, i really wanted to fuck his ears. believe me when i say that i wanted to incorporate the red stripes from his original design but it was too flashy for what i had in mind.

derailing here, but i do plan to eventually draw a reimagined design for btd2 sam and zeitgeist sam. though he probably wouldnt be blue since ciel is already navy blue. blue on blue cannibalism. the designs wont be anything too remarkable or unique, im not creative.

Some tips under the cut I guess, it's very big:

You can make 'comments' in the tags. That's normal for Tumblr, please do not be afraid to ramble on about in the tags when you're rebloging. The actual comments are nice but it just doesn't have the same vibes as seeing someone's tags about something they reblogged. I need to make a more comprehensive version of this one day but please. Just try it. Tags of the people you reblog from don't appear on your reblog!! That's why it's good!! Unless you do the prev thing. Which I would recommend to copy the previous person's tag and add "

Tumblr usually cuts up tags with the comma. So some users use. The period. In place of it!! Also dont use actual quotation marks (") it also cuts up tags with that. Use two apostrophes (') instead

So one thing I noticed is that. Community posts. Can't be reblogged. I want to show this cool art on my blog, but since this post is only in the community, I cannot show it off, especially to those NOT in the community. If you are making art (generally just a post) with the intent of like. Having others not in the community see it (WHICH IS AN OK AND DECENT THING. ESPECIALLY ON TUMBLR). Please make the posts normally (and tag it well!), and then reblog it to the community if you want those in the community to see it too!! And if you want to reblog a reblogged post in a community just go to the person's blog and find the original post!

Some artists I noticed mistag some posts. Tagging a character that doesn't appear at all or isn't even mildy referenced. People scour trough tags to look at a character or something they like. Please do not mistag a post as 1. This ruins the categorization tumblr's tags have 2. You can be reported for "spam" if you do it too many times. (scary!) 3. It will frustrate some people when they're looking for x character, find a post with y character, and not see x character at all. its not limited to characters btw. I'm just using them as an example, it also helps to block tags! There's a reason why categorization is important! So posts with a tag you don't like (and have blocked) stay blocked! Have it mistagged and risk those with a blocked tag not see it! (mistagging also applies to other types or censors. Like leet speak. Don't use that when tagging something. this is Tumblr. Say the uncensored word.)

There's like. A bunch of guides on tumblr for tumblr for like, Twitter, tiktok and new users, please try to find those. They explain stuff better than me. Also don't use the "For you" page on Tumblr it's sucks a lot. go use the "following" page for your dashboard(aka feed or whatever it's called on other websites) and change your settings to show posts chronologically from those you follow. Curate your own experience and stuff. Comment in the tags.

Eyes

yeah so the thing about Price is his eyes are a different shape than the other members (yes im aware they ALL have different eye shape bear with me here), his eyes are more round and shorter, so that's what I like to take note of whenever i draw beeg Price

you can see the red lines that kinda shows the general shape if we compare his eye with Ghost's ones for example

also I tend to draw his eyelid covering like half the eye just for the smexy effects lol

although he aint THAT old yet but i always add the crow feet and eye bags sometimes, more so when i draw non-chibi Price
