what about a fun silly little mindless blurb w steve robin and bug at scoops before ch 1? like what was the first time bug stopped in to visit steve like ? did robin instantly take to her ? i need to see my precious babies bond
we technically already see bugs first time meeting robin in chapter 9 of season 2, buuuuut i love em and will extend the scene a bit <3
enjoy !
"slow down! youre running so fast and i just biked here!" you try your best to keep with robin as she drags you through the newly built mall.
"keep up, slowpoke!" robin only tugs at your hand and all you can do is follow.
youve known the girl for all of five minutes and already shes become your new favorite person.
robin drags you to an area close to the entrance where theres a fancy fountain. seemingly content with where shes dragged you to, she finally drops your hand and sits against the fountains ledge. scrunching her face, she looks disapprovingly at the statue. "how come hawkins had enough money for this crap but not for new uniforms for the band kids?"
"youre in band?" you ask the girl as you sit next to her.
"yup," robin nods at you, curious to see what your reaction will be. shes heard a lot about you, everyone in hawkins has. youre the towns sweetheart, and robin knows at least three people in her band group that you helped one way or another throughout the years.
you gasp. "dude, i wouldve done band, but jonathan wanted to do choir instead."
"why didnt you just do what you wanted?" robin asks you, though she knows the answer already.
"band wouldnt have been fun without him, and i do like to sing." you shrug, not really regretful over the decision.
robin stares at you, a slight frown on her face. she seems to almost study you. "youre fascinating, you know that?"
"what do you mean?" you wrap your arms around yourself, suddenly feeling very small.
seeing this, robin is quick to correct herself. shes always been horrible talking to other people; shes the worst at making new friends, and she really, really wants to be your friend. "no! i didnt, uh, mean it in a bad way! i just-well, i mean. shit."
robins panic only makes you forget your anxiety and you nudge your shoulder against hers. "hey, breathe. im not going to like, dunk you into the fountain water."
"thank god," robin exhales, relieved that you dont seem too angry with her. taking a deep breath, she tries again to explain herself. "what i meant was: you took choir for jonathan byers, and yet youre here now with steve harrington. the douchebag."
you frown at robins words. you forget sometimes that so few people see steve how you do. hes far from the boy he used to be, but you know that sometimes its harder to heal wounds from cruel words said during your youth. "i know you dont believe me, but steve isnt so bad."
"hes a dick."
"he used to be, but now he isnt."
robin huffs. "and im just expected to believe you?"
"no," you shrug. "while i understand that steve has changed since you last saw him, i also understand that this change isnt mine to force you to accept."
your words leave robin speechless. its almost annoying how rational youre being about this. how you can balance both steves feelings and hers without making either of them feel lesser for it.
youre a goddamn saint and robin truly has no idea how jonathan or steve have managed to snag you for themselves.
its unfair.
"i..." robin tries to think of something to retaliate with, but she cant. youre right and she hates it. "thats a very frustratingly mature way to look at things."
you shrug again. "it sucks being so mature, i'll admit."
then steve runs up to the two of you and hes panting with exhaustion. "christ," he wheezes out, clutching at his knees as he bends down to try an catch his breath. "you two are fast."
"youre an athlete, harrington." you tug at steves hair and cause him to topple onto the ground, which robin cant help but giggle at. "keep up."
"why do i always end up on the ground when youre around?" steve doesnt even bother to get up.
"because im clearly bigger and stronger than you."
robin pokes your cheek, mollified by your conversation from earlier and by the fact that you just knocked steve harrington to the ground for fun. "dont forget more mature, y/n."
"oh, so much more mature." you agree, smiling at her.
steve sighs from the ground. "this is gonna be a long summer."
"get used to it, dingus," robin nudges the boy with her sneaker and he flinches away, displeased, but this only makes you and robin giggle even more together.
#ask#anon#m speaks#set in between seasons 2 and 3 !#come home blurb#m's writing#robin u are so loved#had to address robins hatred for steve yet need to be bugs friend#hope this came across right

rosier twincest thoughts??
thank you so much for asking…. 🤍
rosier twins moodboard & bartyrosiers masterpost !!
they’re not in love.. like it’s not about being in love with each other in that conventional romantic way and they’ve never wished that they weren’t twins. they love each other because they’re siblings, wires crossed and everything that makes them is because they’re twins. they’re not in love because they already love each oher and they don’t consider themselves a couple because they’re already twins
they actively try to make themselves less so they’ll only be considered whole together. unfortunately this means i have a not so secret anymore-munchausen by proxy au with them where they realise as they grow up they’re expected to not need each other anymore. no longer share a room, get their own flats, have their own lives, etc. so they start poisoning each other. just a little !!!!! so that they’ll be forced to need each other. so that their parents will have to resign themselves to the idea that their children will have to live together and take care of each other
there are always freaky twincest rumours going around about them but they’re never confirmed and neither of them are bothered by this. they dont care what people say or guess because they’ll never actually know. and even if they did know, they’d never know them. no one knows them like they know themselves or each other. obviously they do actively keep it a secret, and yes because they know incest is wrong, but also because it’s theirs. they wouldn’t want people to know even if it wasn’t taboo
^ and on this… incest isn’t unheard of in pureblood families, and maybe a few decades earlier siblings wouldve beeen allowed to get married, but the rosiers would never ever want that. they’re not a couple and they’re not in love and marriage would be about having to represent something. it would be something that belonged to pureblood culture, there would be expectations on pandora as a wife, on evan as man of the house, and they would no longer be equals. their bond would no longer belong to them and they would no longer belong to each other (<- i have another bartyrosiers monarchy au where their parents force the twins to get married for the throne and barty their trusty kings guard steals them away…🤍)
they belong to each other, love and want only each other (and sometimes barty), they have no interest in pursuing any other sort of relationship and if they ever did it would have to be together because they consider themselves one person. one mind and one heart and i’m you and you’re me type thing
they start exploring each other when they’re way too young, childlike curiosity to see where they’re different because they look the same but their bodies are different. its not necessarily sexual at first, literally just curiosity about their own and each others bodies
it’s when their friends start talking about ’woahh boys’ or ’woahhh girls’ that they start realising sort of. being different from other people. they’re not interested in either sex really because they have each other. no one will ever know them as intimately as they know each other. same mind same heart. they cant even begin to understand or fathom how anyone could ever have something even close to what they have with each other. why people would ever be interested in virtual strangers. i think they even maybe sort of pity other people for not having what they have with each other
and they feel entitled to what they have. know that incest is considered wrong, but how could it be that they’d ever belong to anyone else when the two of them shared a womb ??? they belong to each other ??? from BIRTH !!… like when cersei said ’jaime and i are more than brother & sister. we shared a womb. we came into the world together, we belong together.’ <- nothing else could ever make sense to either of them. they came into the world TOGETHER. evan has never not had a sister, pandora has never not had a brother. together. they’ve never existed without each other

need u to know that im actually so intrigued what are ur thoughts on makorra
yes yes yes okay!! tbh i rlly hate when people try to discredit their relationship bc like they DID like each other. they cared about each other they went through so much together and sometimes shit just doesnt work out. like i will not lie i was SUCH a huge makorra shipper when i was watching s1 because!! the chemistry!! the love!! it was there!!
i think if you think abt it in the original context makorra makes sm sense - tlok was originally intended to be a miniseries/the show wouldve ended after s1. it made the most narrative sense to yes give them relationship drama but also end the series with them together, but then the show got a s2 and they suddenly had to explore the relationship between and the truth of the matter is that honestly. it makes perfect fucking sense that they didnt work out.
theyre both too hotheaded and too stubborn and unwilling to compromise and while they clearly did love each other they were also very young and didnt know how to properly navigate a relationship enough to set aside their differences - nor did they really have the time to, considering everything that was going on.
i think the biggest thing standing in their way was that they purely just did not have enough time to explore their relationship in the way that two normal teenagers would. if they'd been anyone else i honestly think they might've lasted for longer - but korra was the avatar, and mako was a part of the team, and they both had responsibilites and things that Came First. it was also becoming very apparently clear that situations like what happened in s2 were going to keep popping up, and i don't think either of them had the emotional capacity or mental space to deal with all of that PLUS a very new, VERY convoluted relationship. i think it was just the easier thing for both of them to break up and focus on everything else.
also i love the breakup scene!! not the first one obviously where korra goes ham at the police station, but the actual one, with the final kiss - i think it gives both them and the audience some sort of closure, and it establishes that yes, the love is still there, but it's not enough to keep trying to make the relationship work.
i guess it also begs the question of whether or not they wouldve worked as a couple later when they were older and knew how to balance everything better, but in all honesty i dont think they would have. they grew up into different people with different goals for themselves. they work great as teammates and as friends, but a romantic relationship wouldve thrown their entire dynamic out of whack. imo they would've turned into something akin to lin and tenzin if they dated again later.
plus, yknow, asami. in the later seasons i think it was pretty fucking clear what they were going for tbh, and i think they complement each other better than makorra ever did. i could probably write a dissertation on korrasami but this has gotten long enough as it is lmaoo
anyways!! i think makorra gets unwarranted hate i think it was a relationship that they both needed for the character development and to solve a what-if and it really was just a case of teenagers being teenagers. never wouldve been endgame nor did they need to be

The Barbarian keeps rolling around my brain so I have many many thoughts under the cut
1. I saw someone talk about the house itself having layers and yes absolutely, the house and the different men we meet represent rape culture in a very literal sense. We start at the top of the iceberg in the house with Keith's "i wont take no for an answer" and not believing Tess about the basement because women who are upset just arent to be believed, and then AJs and then Frank in escalating worseness as we delve deeper into the house.
2. On the Mother ultimately being a victim but still being the monster who Tess has to kill, I actually think it does a lot about how you are raised and how that shapes what you think is normal and the harm you do. Again we start with Keith who is slightly traditional and says its "how i was raised", then we have AJ at the bar with a very old friend and went he tells him he had to "persuade" this girl and "yeah she said no at the start but like totally not by the end you know" his friend agrees and doesn't think thats rape. Basically, if you dont do the extra work to unlearn what youve been brought up to think is normal, you will absolutely inflict harm and be part of rape culture because thats how society currently is. (Clearly we dont hear about frank but if hes the type for 70s rapist/serial killer firstly is a very sexist society and secondly hes parents are 90% likely to be abusive, that combo is what made most serial killers from the 60s-80s). And the thing is despite being raised that way despite thinking it was normal AJ still deserves to be punished for harming that woman because he still did harm. And the mother doesnt know any better but she will still hurt Tess if Tess let her.
3. The final scene where Tess doesnt let her empathy stop her from thinking about herself for once is very important! Over and over she has thought about other people and got herself kidnapped and hurt for it over and over. So at the end when we still the Mothers incredibly human eyes for the very first time up close, and seeing how she cares, and its meant to pull on your heart strings, and Tess says I dont care what you want because Im going to think about me first. Clearly theres a gender gap not addressed (god i wished she got to kill AJ) but it works if we think of the Mother as the concept of distilled rape culture rather than a real person
4. I loved seeing the mechanics of the script happening in the real time. The story of the director writing himself into a corner 30 pages in and thats why the mother shows up in her first scene (i think thats why Frank shoots himself, like straight up wrote himself into another corner and goes fuck it Frank shoots himself).
5. I saw someone else didnt like the shift to AJs storyline but i really liked it, most horror movies have a hard time with pacing so they either start reallyyyyy slowly (peele) or just try to keep the suspense and terror up the whole time and theres always a flat bit in the middle and you get desensitised to it all and stop caring (halloween.....all of them). So i loved this take of doing it all again but from a completely opposite POV, normally they wouldve run the storylines concurrently so having it 1 and then 2 was just really interesting and pretty bold
6. I cannot tell you how many horror movies ive seen where the closing shot is a wide shot of the house/maze/town whatever of the final girl, and its all lit up with red/blue cop lights. Like thats normally when the film ends, when the cops show up we roll credits. So to have just the most unhelpful, apathetic, fucking rude cops cops instead was cool. I didnt even find them to be over the top (sometimes movies when theyre trying to do a 'cops suck' segment make them caricatures of villainy or bafoonery rather than making then real), but to have their very casual but unflinching demand of respect to themselves from everyone above all else, not seeing a filthy terrified woman with no possesions at all as anything unusual but a broken window thats for sure a crime. Yeah that was scary real, really well done.
7. It felt very classic horror with enough modern twists to keep it grounded in this year without being overbearing about it. Like when horror films are trying a bit too hard with that its just very sighhhhh (like in halloween 2018 they had a teen boy say out loud "i like you that means im gonna get some right??" Like no one talks like that whereas AJs version of events sounds like something a real person would say). And the house with a monster in its walls has absolutely been done before and yet watching this felt fresh bc it was playing on your expectations of the genre.
For a horror debut from a guy whose background is 2000s comedy I think he did really really good! Looking forward to what else he does

Okay SO i have my coffee, I went off about celtic mythology already, apparently I'm in the mood to write today, and I remembered your post last night. LETS GO
WHAT WOULD THE WORLD BE LIKE IF LEWIS HAMILTON HAD DECIDED NOT TO RACE
- shit. it would be shit, definitely
- nico would have more than one championship
- seb would have at least one more wdc with ferrari
- fernando would be a bit more normal because he wouldnt be holding a grudge about being beaten by a rookie 20 yrs ago
- i think val and nico would be teammates and i honestly have no idea how that would look; however, nico would be a fundamentally different person bcs lewis was legit his only friend, and i somehow think he would be both worse and better
- f1 would be even more unapproachable to anyone who wasnt a rich white guy, bcs lewis came in and fucking owned them all, and is the most successful driver of all times, so i shudder to think what it would be like if he werent there
- we'd probably still think some of the rich white men were decent people bcs they wouldnt be outing themselves as racists left and right
- ferrari would still be a disaster 💔
- who wouldve driven for mclaren tho? it was lewis and heidfeld i think during rbr domination era
- barichello? massa? ngl i think barichello shouldve won in 2009 (sorry jense), so how would that have played out, with jenson to mclaren
- god i dont know so many possibilities!!!
💖
Okay so. First of all you're so absolutely right the world and F1 would have been way worse overall.
I made a spreadsheet of all the drivers who have ranked in the WDC standings since Lewis' arrival in F1 in 2007 and where they ended up in the standings each year because I can't be a normal person about this. Then I tucked away all those who were clearly irrelevant to the subject (and that's most of them lol).
Here's what I think. It's long, because I think too much.
In 2007, Raikkonen won. Lewis not being there would not have changed a thing apart from the permanent alteration of Alonso's brain function. I don't remember the context exactly, would he have left McLaren so soon if it wasn't for Lewis' arrival?
If not, could he have won in 2008? The McLaren wasn't excessively dominant that year, Kovalainen finished 7th. But if Lewis was able to extract that kind of performance out of the car anyway, could Alonso have done the same? The less uncertain choice is Massa. He was so close to that title. What would have happened if it had been Alonso in Lewis' position? It's difficult to say.
In 2009, Lewis finished 5th. I don't think it would have made much of a difference had he not been there. So Jenson keeps that one, obvi. (Can you explain why you think Barrichello would have gotten it?) Same goes for 2010-2013, doesn't change a thing for Seb's domination era. The McLaren wasn't good enough for the title in those years, no matter who would have been driving it if it wasn't him, and then the Mercedes wasn't good enough either yet.
The big question is : who would have taken Michael's Mercedes seat if it hadn't been him? Let's not forget that at the end of 2012, it was considered a risky move from him to join them, as the team wasn't doing very well. I'm looking at the drivers who got a seat, lost their seat or moved teams at that time : Perez, Hülkenberg, Gutiérrez, Sutil, Grosjean, Kobayashi, Maldonado, Pic, van der Garde, Kovalainen, Petrov, Glock, Chilton, de la Rosa, Karthikeyan... Would they have chosen Valtteri already? He'd only been a reserve driver so far... Of all these, weirdly, the only one who finished above Nico in 2012 was Grosjean.
It all depends on that really because without a competitive teammate, Nico would have won more than once yeah. At least in 2014 and 2015, on top of 2016. However...
What if Mercedes had gotten a driver for 1 year in 2013? And then who could have gotten that seat in 2014? Massa and Raikkonen were on the market. They were both very very good drivers. Massa was then driving with Ferrari and finished 7th and 8th in the two previous years. Raikkonen was 3rd and 5th with Lotus. Would Nico have won against them? Maybe...
What if Mercedes had gotten a driver for 2 years in 2012? Who would have gotten the seat in 2015? Alonso left Ferrari at the end of 2014, and of course Seb left RBR... Would Nico have won against them? I don't think so. Although either of these pairings would have been highly entertaining lol.
There were no such interesting moves in 2016. So yeah, by the end of that season, either Nico with 2 more titles OR Massa or Raikkonen with 1 or 2 more (rather unlikely imho) OR Alonso or Seb with 1 more (actually very likely if either had gotten the seat in 2015 imho).
Of course then the rest depends on that seat as well and becomes pretty much impossible to predict. So for the sake of the thought exercise let's leave that seat aside and imagine what would have happened if things just went as they actually went except no Lewis.
So Nico wins in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Does Nico retire if he's not exhausted by his fight against Lewis? I guess not? Does he win against Seb in 2017 then? Lewis ended up 46 points ahead of him in reality, could Nico have done the same had it been him? How about 2018, when it was 88 points? I think two questions to consider are how good of a driver Nico really is and how good would he have been without his rivalry with Lewis. In your ask you said he would have been both worse and better. As a person or as a driver or both? What do you think?
What if Valtteri was there then. Who's the best driver between Nico and Val? Because Val is indeed very good. Would he have won in 2019, in 2020? What about Max? Would he have won his first title earlier, later, in 2021 still?
How do their rivalries shape the drivers' performance? Did everybody do better or worse because Lewis was so unattainable? Did it light a fire under all their asses or did it discourage them?

Just watched Nimona. Im feeling so notmal rn [lying throught gritted teeth]
I quite literally knew NOTHING when I decided that I will watch it.
Got suprised positively and felt so many feelings so many times. This was so enjoyable and just done with care? I have many thoughts but I dont know if I could put them all into comprehensible words. Just. All topics were handled beautifully.
I literally got attached to characters less than 10 minutes in. Help me
Some Spoilers beyond this Point
The villain. BOY THE VILLAIN. I hate her so much she got what she deserved <4 I loved how she was written. She believed eveything she was Fed. She lived in fear that consumed her and she was willing to kill innocents for that. She went so far she didnt even want to consider going out of her bubble. Also she could be classified as a twist villain, although its easy to figure out it's her. Even if its not a twist for audience its a good twist for characters + she gets so much time to shine too.
The ending. I understand how some people I guess could say its anticlimactic because Nimona comes back [we don't see her but Its pretty clear lmao]. Personally for me its not an issue, she went through so much and deserves to be happy too. And see that people like her now :] Although I wouldn't mind more tragic ending either, it just wouldve hit me with more sadness than a lot sadness -> sudden happiness spike
At the start of the film I was so so glad that Ambrosius wasn't the 'priveledged guy thats an asshole to the main character' and instead they were lovers :] But also at that point said 'I hope there wont be any falling out!'. Top 10 sentences said minutes before disaster
Also if you could've seen my reaction to nimona and gloreth stuff. Boy I went absolutely insane.
On the topics handled well. I think how they handled opression was really good. They showed how it affects everyone. Even the opressed themselves, that try to find a place in such society, try to have Faith in the system that fails them[ commoners, Ballister]. How at the earliest stage possible people are already influenced into such mindsets. How some people are so firmly set in those beliefs they wont even consider they're wrong. And also the worst of opression, violence, and how it not only hurt Nimona physically, but also how it scarred her mentally.
Some negative beliefs were reinforced for so long, and spawned different kind of negative beliefs. And opression
And I think throughout the movie, you REALLY get how ingrained negative beliefs are in everyones minds.
Further to me, the change of this whole kingdom for the better didnt happen too quickly. Trying exposing the Director ended with her quickly swaying people to her side again, when she played the monster card.people so quickly also believed that such a commoner as Ballister would kill the Queen, which probably wouldnt happen if it was someone form the Noble bloodline... okay its not related exactly to what I started talking in this paragraph. Fuck, people had to see how for this belief that monsters are terrible, the one in power is willing to kill them, along with the monster. And in this situation the monster saved them.
Like also those are circumstances that absolutely would lead to a change I think. There were probably some people in denial but I doubt for long? Authority of power and beliefs risked their people's lives with ease when it came to actual danger. Although the focus should have been on protecting the people, as it always was said before, in the end it all went into killing 'the bad'.
[Um i hope I put this into comprehsible words and that I got the meaning I wanted in there]
I enjoyed the animation, design and music too! Also this world was really interesting, medieval combined with futurism. Really neat worldbuilding!
And last thing, comedy was great >:]
Anyway I hope you enjoyed my incomrehensible ramblings. Bows
#milk sits and talks#nimona film#nimona#also i could tell you all a site where I wached it if you want?#I wasnt sure if I should include that in the post#anyway watching this completely blind was the BEST experience for me

had a dream where me and my mom were walking with one of our cats and then we had to let them walk through this thing that would change them, like a science expirement. they turned into a slightly-bigger-than-an-average-cat cougar. then we were just walking with them to home. on the way we met this lady who was walking their dog, their dog looked exactly like our cat. we pretended like our cat was a dog to not complicate the situation. we ended up visiting the lady's house that she was building herself. we noticed that there might be something wrong with the foundation, because the frame of the house was leaning slightly. two of my family members(who were all there now) went and fixed it in like a second. the lady was really impressed. we noticed another problem in the frame, and three people this time fixed it. we said goodbye to the lady and left for home again. i left with our cat before the others because they straggled behind talking to the lady. i carried them down an underpass, dodging a few bikers. at this point me and siblings were in a car(with the cat), the eldest was driving(they actually do have a license). the roads were pretty slippery, so we went a slightly different route home than normal, just to be safe. we arrived, and started getting off the boat(car turned into a boat). someone was saying that gay people weren't allowed to dock at the harbour(referencing some news they'd heard), I took a picture of all of us getting off the boat and joked that we aren't allowed to dock either then(I knew that it only affected the boats that sail about internationally). one of us said that they were homo, and I looked around, saw Atria ham slices, and said "aren't we all a little homo". I meant it as a genuine statement, but i accidentally referenced some popular meme we all knew, so it came out a bit lighter than my initial statement(thankfully). notably my younger brother was looking a bit uneasy, he didnt know what to do about indirectly getting called gay. he probably wouldve said something casually homophobic otherwise, but there were like six of us others, who all agreed to my joke of "aren't we all a bit gay", so clearly his comments wouldnt land. we all took something of our stuff from the boat and walked over the dock to the shore. until. i realised we were missing our cat. i panicked really hard. i gave my stuff to my sister and ran back to the boat, my sister came as well. she handed me the keys. i was thinking "dont be racist, dont be racist" while picturing the face of Bruno from Black. White.. I fitted the key into the lock with shaky hands and turned it. he was racist, and the lock opened. i lifted the lid of the floor compartment were the cat was. they were sleeping peacefully. i was still panicked. i threw the lid out of the way, into the water, and tried to coerse our cat out of there. the lock and keys fell too, so I jumped in to get them. my uncle had ran over as well to help, they were in the water. i found the lock and keys and tried to lift the lid that was floating on the water, onto the dock, so it wouldnt be in the way. turns out my uncle was trying to use it to keep themselves afloat. i dropped it into the water with us again, but now it was in the way again. at some point our cat had fallen into the water as well, which I thought was a good thing, since now they can just swim to shore. no, they apparently didnt know how to swim and were just sinking to the bottom. my uncle dived in to save them.
thats when i woke up, my heart beating a mile a minute.

i think the digitalisation of entertainment has ruined the simple enjoyment of entertainment for me cause theres almost too much of it now
do you think kpop overall will ever change its direction? i dont and never have really cared for tiktok challenges so its less appealling to those who dont partake in these choreographies of kpop groups. tbh I dont particularly know exactly what I like about kpop these days bc its debuting minors so much that im like ehhh its another pretty and young group so what? most often in that case i can just like them for their songs so it doesnt particularly bother me as such yet i feel like kpop still missing something or its been crazy with debuting recently yet groups are neither standing out too much or the members are quite similar to one another or its abt the images and concepts of groups rather than the songs themselves
do you ever think its taken it too far sometimes? like its never heard of less is more and some groups simply have too many members for me to fully care deeply abt each one is quite ridiculous. idk the only way i knew of kpop is through youtube so if we didnt have youtube rn i never wouldve heard abt kpop as they only seem to aim for america
so rather than other using platforms i dont even care if idols dating or no so idfk what exactly interests me much these days cause it seems that kpop is the main music rn and theres not much else that i particularly like abt music anymore so i kind fo have to like something so i dont die of boredom itself yet there isnt much for my age group to follow bc we already had our music phase
i feel too old to be liking whats current but not young enough to care that deeply for every trend or every internet fad there is. its weird to say but i often feel like i shouldve been from an older generation due to the amount of digitalisation of most media and entertainment being geared towards those who prefer online media yet theres nothing else to genuinely like outside of the internet bc its always seems to be centred around it come what may that or music and mvs are so flashy and fancy compared to what i had when i was these idols ages
even the fact that my age would be considered too old to debut in kpop is what is mind boggling to me but then id have to force myself to fit group concepts and whatever else even if they werent my taste so i probs would avoid doing kpop unless it had been from an older generation then id like to have seen more comparison bc there isnt much to compare from older kpop vs now where there is much more
i also think when older idols have said they had more rest time due to lack of internet or social media in general, i think many younger groups could benefit from more rest time yet the speed in which they are doing all these online extra things for their fans and even then they still can get negative backlash due to their fans toxic behaviour so it like they cant really win bc these groups grow up online nowadays but everyone need the internet and so much is done via a computer system so no one can truly escape needing social media either so even if their fans complain idols do too much why are they not more grateful towards what idols do for them?
esp since theres much more idols could be doing instead of being online or trying to go viral for every small detail they ever upload
these idols should thank their lucky stars with how much tool they now have and things like smartphones and whatnot or idfk instagram and other shit like that cause we never had those as kids and in a way i wish we never needed such devices cause again i dont care even if idols get into "scandals" it doesnt phase me bc its mainly that the internet overreact to such minor wrongdoings that often arent even wrong to begin with so thats an other thing i dont care for bc it always seem to want reactions from people or their fans hold it against the idols and make the idols suffer from the backlash that they receive due to people having too many means of expressing a thought or opinion online
i also think trends coming back again it doesnt surprise me anymore, like aespas cd player didnt surprise me so i didnt particularly care for it either, we had those, same for the way tech companies tried to modernise the flip phones that we also had it just aint truly wowing me rn whether it be their merch or even a few songs recently i think bc theres so much of it and its all only really accessible via our screens again maybe if kpop had been known from like before the 90s i mightve taken more of an interest but im like ehhh whatever
whats an even weirder thought is by the time these very young idols get married the internet is not only going tk descend into chaos but i will be long gone from this screen obsessed society, thank god
another thing i find useless to me is pop up shops seem so useless to me bc a) im either in the wrong country for them, im in the countryside thus its quite a trek to ghe nearest one and b) i just dont need to collect merch anymore even for western group i rather just like them for their songs these days than anything else
i think thats the only way to really like a group without getting overly attached to its members that and age gaps as well i find watching younger groups both give me fomo and existential crisis cause i never got to do anything cool like what they have and all the opportunities these groups are given is so so different and generally it all tends to be quite overly fancy and flashy but at the same time i dont know if i care enough tbh im just quite very bored of a lot of entertainment mainly bc its in such short formats tiktok and youtube shorts reels whatever tf theyre called again it only is going to get so much of my attention before i get sorely bored of it bc its not ever going to always be in person and its not something i would need anymore not like the good ole days of an internetless societh when we had cars that had cd players in them and you could generally find a use for some of the tech we had but nowadays it just seems like its load of nonsense geared towards needing our reactions or attachments in unhealthy mannerisms or behaviours that could be quite toxic for both the idols and their fans
if we needed albums then we all should still have cd player somewhere so albums dont go to waste or so they dont collect dust but no one going to be carrying around cd after cd due to smartphones so we dont particularly need a cd player if we can already access the songs on youtube and so on
even streaming ruin so many songs cause then it only matters if songs are getting the most views not whether they are nice songs or not or if they have good vocals or not non of that rlly matters anymore as per le sserras coachella performance it clearly doesnt matter if they are or arent actually talented cause so many groups just aim to go viral online
honetly i dont care how fucked up previous generations were id gladly take a time machine and go back to a non screen based society where entertainment seemed to be more lively and freer than what we have today where its so structured snd formatted mainly only for internet trends
sorry for my long ramble just wanted to get my thoughts out somehow about the way kpop has been recently it just seems much more toxic esp online, i kind of just have to like groups from afar bc i dont want to partake in it yet i also have to find something interesting enough to like and it only seems to be found on social media these days :/
sorry for responding only now;
to be honest, i agree that the entertaiment stuff being avaiable (basically almost) everywhere lost the spark of the entertaiment itself. because of it i really doubt the k-pop industry will be back like we used to know the entertaiment the industry has given to us so far, and this applies to all industires in my honest opinion. the social medias are definitely the main reason why the entertainment is overfilled in any genre possible (i am typing generally), like you said, the tiktok videos (challenges included)! i've never been interested in the content that involve promoting their song or anything else that will benefit the idol/s. this might be due to the fact i've never been obssessed stan to the extent i'll buy my ult group's merchandise (and reading what other stans've been doing, not only that..).
i also agree with your opinion related to the fact more underage trainees (boys, girls, doesn't matter) are debuting. i've always been casual listener of the genre, to be honest and even i've had some phases where i've been watching more content of some groups but that was it, you know?
the industry though has always been overfilled with groups and it's not from recently, most of them in the earlier generations (from 2nd onwards as far as i know) didn't work out either because of the majority of the companies were small or the groups didn't worked out. the paradox here is us, non-korean fans (mainly americans and europeans) give chance to more of the groups while koreans are picky, at least that's the impression i have.
related to the recent groups being the same, YES, YES, YES, I'M RELIEVED I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS SEEN IT! personally, from the 4th generation onwards i've sensed the transition from copying other groups' in one way or another to being TOO similar (and I am not saying that this is only about one specific group, I am typing it collectively). this might be due to BTS and BLACKPINK's popularity worldwide for which I am not suprised, to be honest.
the whole industry, not only k-pop, is taking too far with brainwashing us in one way or another through simple stuff (for example what are the friendship between member a and member b). okay, let's say we should have a position on an event x and y (and etc.) but have the majority of us (overall) looked into the alternative medias, the real life, the news? if you believe only the one side, have you ever seen what the other one looks like? nowadays it looks really favoritised for the most of the topics (sorry for switching the topic for a bit) and if you want to change the world and bring awareness, start with your local issues ffs (not cursing to you)! okay, i understand the underage fans who will bring awareness for events that are very important and impactful and i agree that sns for once can be actually useful but DO THE SAME FOR YOUR HOME PLACE, EYE TO EYE, or creating your own brand with an purpose that can change many people's lives! the issue here is that the influencers should be accepted LITERALLY, to have their own mindset, to think independently and to let their fanbase be aware of things they care about! almost all of them (i am including all famous people here in this group because more or less they're influencing us) are basically promoting themselves and the majority of their interests basically make me feel "is that it? your hobbies being too different from what's the reality surrounding you?" like, i shouldn't care at all about it but ALMOST ALL OF US ARE LIKE THAT, it makes me feel INSANE! i've learned about the genre through youtube/psy becoming viral too but the brainwashing stuff didn't become thanks to his song! maybe i've been realising everything just now but it had started in the beginning of the whole entertaiment industry, the k-pop isn't at fault for it, they just hopped on what should be done according to the americans and western europeans!
i also feel old to follow what's trendy nowadays so i changed my actual interests because if i still follow the k-pop often i'll become one of the many people, you know? the time and the generations have changed without a doubt and for some things it shouldn't happen like that, for that i am sad. (this includes the things you said, if i get more deep into the pointless stuff the k-pop industry have become it'll be just too long)
basically, i can relate with you. there are more things to do than following random famous people that will be more worth it in the end :)

the thing with the breakdancing dad thing is like . for clarify i am in almost the same situation as ppl think shes in i was raised by my mom who was financially neglecting me and cutting my dad off from me when he wanted to see me and she was taking the child support money he was paying her to spend on herself i am the person who is the most in a position to sympathize with him but like i just dont. bec okay
that wasnt that many videos and the fact that its all holidays and special events isnt at all contradictory with 'he was there for some big events but he wasnt There in our lives', and the fact that this is also just like how home videos tend to work makes them really not convincing "evidence" of a happy childhood. like were u expecting to see videos of her saying she fucking hates her dad and hes never there for her To The Camera. when i was with my moms side of the family obviously you smile for pictures and act cute in front of the camera bc they get mad at you if you dont! also hes REALLY invading their privacy by posting videos that arent even of her and are instead of his other kids who literally have nothing to do with this. ALSO childhood evidence is always going to be skewed in the parent's favor bc the kid straight up isnt old enough to rly be able to advocate for themselves. notice how the videos switch to photos as she gets older meaning we have no idea how they interacted when they talked and the one text message she shows is them interacting rly awkwardly like two distant acquaintances
man fuck this dude for calling it "brainwashing". like Again it literally happened to me my mom was lying to me to steal money that was meant for us but he could just. say that. the concrete thing she did wrong. instead of being like It Was The Genders.
theres no proof that he paid anything. he said millions but like he just said that. people can lie. very silly and quirky that he has video evidence of his 10 yr old kid talking about youtube as definitive proof he was a loving father but he cant figure out how to censor one of the bajillion emails they send you when you pay medical bills. tbc i dont rly think he shouldve posted either bc again sensitive information but if youre gonna doxx your kids at least do it in a way that looks less like youre trying to use unreliable footage to make an emotional appeal over the Factual Innacuracies. same thing with screenshots of all the insane bitchy things your daughter and wife are totally saying
the most damning thing: dude you have your daughters phone number. if you really had a good relationship and she was exaggerating to make a story funnier you wouldve messaged her like "??? we made lasagna together last week why didnt you tell me i abandoned you at your mothers doorstep" and she wouldve been like "im sorry father i sold you out for views" and then she wouldve made a video breaking keyfabe. personally i dont believe women are insane gender-brainwashed lunatics so i figure she had her reasons
he stresses their politics differ a lot so my actual projection is that i figure madi as a kid was fine with her dad only showing up for holidays and not really being around and wasnt really thinking about money stuff but then as she grew up she started re-examining their relationship and drifted away from him as he became a sexist bitcoin breakdancer and so eventually she had a negative enough view of him to make a pretty uncharitable video bc if you and your dad had a huge argument over him being a sexist bitcoin breakdancer and then you saw a tiktok challenge about funny trauma you might very well think "oh man. the fact that my dad divorced my mom and then started a breakdancing career is funny as hell. im going to flatten this fairly complicated family history to fit into a tiktok" and then when her dad who she doesnt like anymore made a public response she doubled down bc fuck that guy he hates women. its not like shes sending hitmen to his front door she made a mean tiktok. ppl are acting like this has destroyed his reputation but im gonna go out on a limb and say that the ppl making fun of him for being a deadbeat dad are probably not ppl who otherwise wouldve been fans of a sexist bitcoin breakdancer. i think his core audience was never gonna be shattered by this which i am more sure of bc even before he posted a reply bitcoin bros were gathering around him like protective mother birds. if he didnt want his daughter to disrespect him and re-examine his treatment of her as an adult with a more critical eye, personally i would suggest he be nicer to his daughter and not call her brainwashed or talk about how its all genders fault. i think that would really help convince her to have a more positive view of him

100% agree and i do like reading others opinions sometimes as well other times i might browse websites and be like who cares?
fr its just out of hand nowadays ik idol groups rely on their fans for a lot of their success so its basically supply and demand is it not? they supply brief distraction from the problems among the world but fans have to unfortunately pay a fortune to merely interact with them. i mean if u go back to other eras the 50s for exampke elvis concerts used to only cost $1.50 and nowadays if you had to pay a fortune to witness a music group interact with fans via fan call its not worth it for older fans. its such a rip off. id lowkey wouldve preferred the 50s pay even tho it wasnt perfect by no means bc of what was going on at the time. but the way prices are is just obscene. its almost too much in large quantities like the industries are just pushing whatever out people are buying it over and over again. wheres the logic and common sense in any of it? im sure the idols are also going to eventually get fed up with all their extra work that they have to do to secure a loyal fan base but im finding even if i like one grouo its mainly briefly cause im not putting money into their career if that makes sense? i dont feel like i owe them a penny just to be entertained but at the same time theres still pressure to spend on groups and artists bc everyone has to belong to some type of clique to fit in. its like we cant just simply like a song or a group and we cant dislike a song or a group without some type of backlash either.
even hobbies are becoming an overconsumption too in the sense that instead of people doing them for fun theyre doing it for views clicks subscribes and comments.
I agree that you shouldn't have to pay a fortune to interact but at the same time, it's understandable. There are millions of fans for one group worldwide, and they need to be more selective since everyone's trying to meet their idols. It's more competitive than anything. And idols are rarely seen in public if at all nowadays, so it's even harder. And the fifties were also generally cheaper in everything, that's certain, but at the exact same time, it's cheaper because of their current economic and cultural significance. Twenty-five cents was worth more than because of their economy back then, and the pay was smaller because of it. And I generally think the idols and their company aren't to blame because, at the end of the day, it's their job that they're trying to live off of and sustain themselves and the company. I really blame the toxic 'fans' paying thousands and buying hundreds of items to win a fan call, and therefore making it so it's near impossible for others to do so without matching that. Toxic 'fans' who come for people just because they don't like a particular song or group. Hell, some toxic 'fans' come for group members or groups who interact with their faves. Really, it's more of a fanbase thing than an idol problem. And with the extra events, idols knew what they were getting themselves into. It's like any other job, essentially. They get paid and get to meet and talk to fans, who're paying to see them. They get paid to dance and perform and be on their game for a concert, as well as put on a show for their fans and make sure it's a nice environment. It's a give-and-take, basically. Just like how actors and models get paid a lot for what they do, artists do the same things in a sense. I think nowadays concert tickets are more expensive because nowadays people are doing more in those concerts. The venues are larger, they're flying farther, they're dancing and singing all at once, while also doing fan events everywhere they go, it's bound to be draining for the artists. We're paying for an experience, labor, travel, and the staffing for the event as well as the time and thought put into it, and the time of the makeup artists and stylists and people of that nature.
Though, I agree with you. It's not affordable for the average person to go to a concert. Though...It's kind of like going to an amusement park in a sense. You save, and plan, and pay. You're paying for the experience, the entertainment, etc. I feel like at the end of the day it depends on the person. Like you're not catching me at Disney World because that's not my cup of tea, but other people see those crazy ass prices as worth it, and those are the people it's catered towards.
But again, it's still really really expensive.

Could u go more in depth about what u did/didn't like about the spinoff? Just curious as someone who enjoyed most of it but was a lil disappointed with the last few episodes
sure! i didnt like Hate it or anything there were things i did enjoy, i watched all the episodes, it was more that it just really didnt do it for me in a way thats kind of difficult to like. pin. i should state too that i was not going to watch it already bcuz i wasnt interested in the genderbend fanfiction characters being the like title piece and everything, but i gave the first two eps a shot and thought 'okay, i get it, this show is about simon and his complicated feelings about Everything that happened and who he used to be and who these characters represent to him about who he used to be' and then it just didnt really like, do more with that in a way that i expected or wouldve enjoyed, exactly? i like the idea of multiverse hopping and a bunch of different au versions of characters in a story, that stuff is obviously really popular right now and when its done well its done WELL. i liked how finn was characterized in episode 2. it was like, an entertaining watch, it just didnt really do much for Me, and i knew that going in. its really hard to explain like my negative feelings on something that are negative bcuz it just Wasnt For Me ykwim. and there r plenty of parts of adventure time that didnt really do it for me either bcuz it had so many writers
i read an interview w the director and writers and stuff and they mentioned that they made the series recognizing that the original fans were adult now and it was partly made for us and like having a more mature theme and everything, but i didnt rly feel thatit did that for me personally (which again is Fine), and i dont think it successfully captured like, 'more mature adventure time', i guess maybe in the sense that they can swear now? but adventure time itself is thoughtful and often more mature than it was given credit for at the time. its a kids show but a lot of the later stuff was made to just tell stories and explore ideas, whether kids like 'understood' it or not, they trusted their audience, stuff wasnt really like dumbed down. they mentioned trying not to step on the toes of the original too much too and i like did get the sense that they respected and loved the source material (some of the ppl working on it including the director were from the old team) but while the spinoff was clearly successful and ppl liked it a lot (ive already seen a lot of ppl talking abt how meaningful it was to them, and thats great, im glad it resonated for people) its like, read of the characters and world and the direction they wanted to take just wasnt really the kind of vibe i come to adventure time for, i guess? like i said it just didnt rly do it for Me personally in a way thats hard to articulate
i dont rly want to say anything like too mean abt it but ppl Know about me that i dont like Fandom Aware Jokes in media i dont think theyre charming and the spinoff leaning into that kinda stuff wasnt for me, and i get why bcuz its literally fucking named after the in universe genderbent fanfiction versions of finn and jake, but thats also something i never liked about adventure time and wouldve been happy if it hadnt made a reappearance i just thought it was going to be used to Say Something so i was curious to see where it went. so like from the start it isnt exactly for me ykwim. i dont think sailor moon reference sexyman ice king or jokes about alt universe versions of characters kissing themselves is funny. coffee shop Boy pb & marceline b plot is not interesting to me (i do like marshall's human design). i feel like not a lot of stuff Happened to me
and let me preface this next part by saying that i never got too invested in simon and bettys thing in adventure time so maybe some of this stuff WAS canon and i just completely missed it but i feel like the track they took w them and their relationship was like.. they were trying to say something but it wasnt exactly the direction i wouldve taken, which isnt a 'criticism' as much as its just, a thought , for me. i thought betty losing her shit and sacrificing herself for simon at the end of adv time proper was interesting bcuz to me betty wasnt like a completely selfless character, to me she wasnt MEANT to come off that way, she was interesting in part bcuz she did all that for simon but simon had been gone for a thousand years, she gave herself up to turn him back but didnt think abt whether he wouldve wanted that. she brought him back, but without her. its obviously tragic and i do get that like betty moving on now that simons like Safe at the end of fionna and cake makes sense but i was.. curious to see the whole metaphor w the choose ur own adventure book where the metaphor or whatever was that betty had given everything up for simon and simon had never took her own feelings into consideration or gave things up for HER and stuff, and all that about like, obsession, and uneven ground, and simon shouldve known better... and the show ending with simon saying wow damn yeah betty sacrificed herself for me and i never put her over me so i should live a good life. like okay but i thought betty sacrificing herself for him wasnt meant to come off as completely selfless bcuz it wasnt exactly? i dont think it was framed that way but again i COULD be wrong. im not gonna say that this stuff is not in character cuz again i dont Remember if this was canon to the mainline series. maybe betty was always a fan of his work and their relationship did start out uneven like that and i just forgot, i am not gonna say its Wrong. its not like 'is betty right' its that theres dif ways u can read like main adventure time series decisions and the grayness of it was interesting
and i dont say that to say like oh the focus shouldve been on Simons Feelings and not this woman who became a god for him its just like, i didnt really expect that direction of writing their past relationship, or the direction in general, and idk how to feel about it. maybe ill change my mind. maybe it all makes sense and i just didnt pay enough attention to betty and simons relationships and arcs before. what i did know coming out of the show is that i felt a little let down but i also felt like i shouldnt have expected much from something that just based off the series name was already something i expected to not vibe with THAT much
#i have a lot of opinions lol#ty for asking tho anon its fun to talk abt this stuff im def curious to hear ur opinions too if u wanna share? or anyone else#anon#asks#long post

HELLO! (points directly at url)
the stitchwraith is made by phineas taggart - a guy who wasnt incapable of feeling emotions (or something equivalent to that) and he loves to expiriment with agony, so he got acouple of items - including an ella doll, if youve read 1:35 am you mightve recognised him as a little cameo (he speaks to plants, and even called the creation of the stitch his own tin man, hes funny, i think tumblr wouldve loved him) and dies the moment the stitchwraith comes alive
the stitchwraith is compromised of two spirits: jake and andrew
jake was a 9 year old boy who had cancer and is the protagonist in the 6th books 2nd story the real jake, its important to note that his father, while away at war iirc, had a small doll that would speak to jake every night, hidden behind a closet, and jake would tell the doll what 'he did that day' (what he wouldve wished he wouldve done) and his caretaker, margie, would come in every night and draw on a thing related to it - if he said that he got into a baseball game then she would draw on a black eye on him, a missing tooth, red around the mouth to signalise the pizza he said he ate that day, as a surprise for him when he won the battle, unfortunatly both jakes father (whos named evan, funnily enough, he has an uncle named micheal too) and jake passed away, leaving margie with the home, which on a unrelated note became infested w cats lol, phineas had used the dolls head (which, inspite of it being implied that jake possessed the doll and ran away, i have zero clue how phineas got his hands on it)
andrew is the, i guess 'antagonist' of the man in room 1280, where hes been keeping william alive for a good while now and keeps confusing four nurses to the point of them calling a priest, he wears an alligator mask i think thats cool, and because of how much agony he has in him and how bitter he has at william (vaild) he is the reason why phineas had died by his touch, he has such a strong sense of emotion it just. kinda goes into everything, if youre wondering how his spirit got into the stitchwaith andrews spirit was also in fetch's battery, i dont know the story about that either ur guess is as good as mine
andrew and jake, together in this stitchwraith body, would collect the rest of what andrew had 'infected', which i only remember foxy from come closer being mentioned
andrew dissapears in the 6th epilouge iirc, long story short william in a massive trash pile monster form (yes he still has those goofy rabbit ears mentioned) had appeared and the two struggling not to kill our other protagonist - detective larson - had plunged themselves into it, andrews spirit is dragged away from williams, leaving jake alone in this vessiel
jake discovers, via accidently touching a homeless man, that he can go into others memories and make them plesant, so the death touch is gone for good, also by skipping towards the end he kinda becomes like, a guardian angel for the ballpit? with the memories of eleanors victims (also not relevant to the conversation dont worry about it) being in there, when he makes millies last memories her spending happily with her family, a single ball had started to glow, and the rest of them slowly did as well
i liked jake, i think hes a sweet protagonist, i thought andrew was interesting too but thats just me being tumblr user stitchwraith-stingers to each their own lol
if anything i wouldnt really exactly say that the stitchwraith is a villain, yeah andrew going "LETS KILL HIM" to some guy in his 40s is bad, but its more or less of a "dont judge a book by its cover" shtick (ESPECIALLY considering the whole renelle plotline), they arent finding trouble they just happened to be able to do that
TLDR: two ghost jokes in one expiriment body, one of them is pissed enough to kill people by touching them and after his spirit gets dragged away the other one can visit peoples memories and kinda maybe sorta becomes a guardian angel, dont worry about it
i fuckign HATE the latter half of fnaf lore so fucking much. i dont care about the mimic. i dont care about the stitchwraith. i dont care about the glitchtrap virus. i dont care about remnant. i CARE about haunted animatronics. can we please go back to haunted animatronics???? with the ghosts and the dead people and etc?? not whatever sci-fi bullshit is going on nowadays??

food 1a)
All around the galactic province on the eastern side of the galaxy, there was a rumour going around
"have you heard? the infamous 'deathworlders' are going to arrive in a few cycles! "
"i heard they dont have any fur! they only have skin warping up their bare muscles!"
"i heard they use high grade weapons for their daily life!"
"the rumour has it that they will eat anything within its sight when hungry"
"i heard they have hair on their heads and no where else!"
of course, some of the rumours were stupid and exagerated. but in face, a crew of humans is indeed coming its way to the galactic eastern province to attend a universal meeting about their diets and if any food from the death world (also known as Terran) can be edible by any other species.
onced the news of the rumans sudden arrival at the international space station, half of the Kaaldan species were gathering outside of the space station to satisfy their curiousity of the looks of the Terrans (humans)
"ugh, what a nuisance" captain jack said while preparing to depart onto a unfailiar land and looking outside with a window thats tainted so that outsiders cant see inside.
"well we just gotta ignore it." "yeah we have no other choice do we?"
a few of the crew said and sighed. They want to qucikly get the goody goody greeting and information insertion and then finalize their existence so that they can go places without getting scorned or gazed at with curiosity and hostility.
but they have a klong way to go, so they need to start step by step.
"welp, lets get going. the longer we stay the more people are coming here"
"can we even call them people?"
"dont be rude, Francis. We are going to be with them for the rest of our lives."
"im so resigning"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The crew of humans finally with the help of their hooded uniforms and masks and sunglasses, non of their face was recorded or taken a picture of. It was tiring to run from bystanders who are trying their horrible best to look at them.
they reached the meeting place.
Upon entering eveyong stood and welcomed them. in the meeting room, there was a huge round table, inside is no other than floating computer windows, statistics, notes and a system checker(like settings but more advanced)
they sat at the north of the round table (that makes them the star of the meeting)
they started as soonn as the humans took off their helmets and masks that hid of their face. and eveyone present were either wowed, shocked, scared or a mix of the said emotions.
Captain Jack Introduced himself, and eveyone is shcoked at his face. There was a huge scar, from his chin up to his forehead. Everyone present knows scars arent a good thing to talk about in any setient species.
they started with food, the basics.
once they all filled the humans screen with information of what is dangerous poison and what is edible foods around the galaxy. they provided them with the chemicals inside of the foods so that they can understand why theyre so dangerous.
afterall, humans are very curious creatures. so providing them with information would be a good idea to satisfy them.
Every species in the current seatings were proud of themsevles because they found humans a bit cute (somewhat like their young)
however.
the humans looked confused.
everyone soon tried to understand why, is it because the information is too complex for them to understand? perhaps a translation error? or perhaps they dont understand as they are not scientist?
then suddenly, one of the humans spoke : "uhmm, pardon my rudeness but is it alright for me to speak my mind?"
"of course human. "
"why is caffine not allowed?"
everyone stood in shock, and the remaining humans immediately pulled their friend down and whispered something to them. and the human seemed to relaized his mistake and apologized frantically.
"IM SO SORRY I WASNT AT MY RIGHT MIND JUST NOW, I WAS THINKING ABOUT THE CHEMICAL FORMULAS SO MUCH I FORGOT MY APOLOGIES!!"
the human shouted his apology so loud that some species had a hard time in reciving it.
the aliens were all curious but too scared to ask, until a kaaldan asked the thing everyone is thinking about .
"why do you think caffine is allowed? if im correct, caffine is a high poison. It is usually used for execution and maybe poisoning of the leaders."
eveyone noded or responded in some way that is fit to their way of agreeing.
"im terribly sorry about my comrade has said, and to answer your question just now captain Huieosyen. Because in our planet, humans sometimes need to keep themselves awake for a longer time and in order to do that, we drink a beverag called coffee....
after long hours of explaning cafine and other things that cannot be eaten however edible in some way.
all of them were shocked at the humans discovery of baking and a usage of fire. They wouldve expected them like half of them, using fire to engage in combat and defend or hunt, to find the humans not really fit into their expectations of violence.
'well its better this way, they are adorable beings and i rather them not join battles'
after a while, the humans started to talk about the dinning etiquette, courses, disserts and how they are served or how they are made. They also put up pictures and videos of the crew making the food themselves.
the aliens were... upheaveled. what? humans put bacteria on food to make it more delicious?? is this really a thing? humans like any other sentient species is that outside bacteria is not good for the body and they put it on food. the one thing they eat.
and then because of this the humans stayed another few hours explaning and giving out information for each food that basiclly exist.
"thank you so much for your cooperation, Humans. And we are terribly sorry for taking your time away."
"no no its alright, its for the safety of not only us humans but also the species out there."
and with that, the humans returned to the international space station and by the time they arrive, it was already 2 in the morning. what a long day.
a few months later, the whole article about human food is published onto the galactic net and everyone was caught off guard by the weirdness of the humans.
and soon, cook books and tv shows are suddenly on air, showing diffrent species of aliens what they can and cannot eat.
makes us wonder what would happen if they knew humans used fire for other things as well.
#humans are weird#humans are space fae#humans are space orcs#humans are adorable#humans are disgusting#humans are deathworlders#humans are confusing#humans are crazy#humans are dumb#humans are terrifying#humans being humans#humans will pack bond with anything#the more you know

9, 17, 24, 28, 29, 31 bitch
Hi Nate
From this post
9 - Favorite quality about your favorite character?
Is it fair to say their accent. Because dear god Ther Voice Their Giggle tbeir little vocal quirks make me INSANE DEAR GOD
17 - Favorite (canonically) queer character?
Besides Winner obviously, Latte EEE and Snowy LAF <3 love them
24 - Favorite Intro?
Minutely Object Show S1 Intro nearly brought me to tears
28 - Favorite Ship?
Tree x Clock when theyre chained onto each other (iykyk)
No but like Jokes Aside Take A Wild Guess
I have maaany ships I love but Winnerclock & Winnerloser really Take The Cake For Me
In diff ways tho. To make it short:
Winnerloser I focus less on the romance aspect overall, they def had smth going on though. They were bandmates, they went into adulthood with each other, saw each other grow and grow apart, starting to detest what made them fall in love to begin with. (Keeping it vague for now)
Winnerclock is two Abandoned People with a rough start, lack of boundaries/self awareness clashing with someone who sees everything reminding themselves of their past as a potential threat. But they have more in common than they think. I think they could find new beautiful things in life with each other. Im Normal about these objects btw
Honorable mention: Losercake for bein my first big ship <3Hi nate
29 - Least Favorite Ship?
I only rly care abt bfdi ships Enough so. If you asked me 2 months ago I wouldve said fireafy and a lot of things abt them Writing wise still piss me off, esp in post split but it already started in ep15 TBH. However charlie (and kind of harmie) kinda fixed them for me cuz no one gets it like they do Its Fine .
Some other mentions: Barf Bag x Spongy (theyre not good for each other Im Sorry), Snowball x Fanny (theyre funnier as friends also theyre both gay), Snowball x Basketball (same as prior but bb is Bi to me) uhhh Gelatin x Lollipop but I never see that anyway
Why are all of these straight ships I promise Its not on purpose
31 - Random Fact about a character/show that you love
How much Cary did NOT want Loser to be eliminated (and that Loser is Cary and Michael's fave)
In his reaction to BFB6 he mentions that he specifically didn't want Loser to check the crack for the twinkle so she doesnt make the team lose and ppl Vote Her Out For It. He didnt want Clock to get booted out either which is why he says smth abt "Dont forget Im the reason why we won ep 1 and 3"
And that speech pin and coiny did was supposed to show her in a GOOD LIGHT but it made viewers believe she was secretly evil and breaking the team apart and If u watch the reaction hes Genuinely Suprised how MANY ppl were voting Loser out
CARY N MICHAEL WERE RLY EXCITED TO HAVE HER AND THE SHOW AND ALSO MENTIONED LOSER HAVING BACKSTORY!! ITS SO SAD!!
