The warm weather contrasts the cool drops of water dripping down your hair, as you run clumsily. Your hand is intertwined carefully with his, laughter slipping past your lips as he pulls you to find somewhere to hide under to keep the rain away.

''Scara!" You say cheerfully and he looks back, an amused smirk resting on his smooth features as well. You stop running, making his hand lose its grasp on yours. He turns immidiately, now completely facing you.

''Why the hell did you stop running? You're already soaked as it is.'' He pulls you closer, putting his hands over your head to shield your eyes from the rain as you look at him.

''You're gonna get sick and I'm gonna be stuck taking care of you. Like always.'' he says, scoffing. The rain gets intenser, as the ambiance turns more intimate and intense. You subconsciously step closer, and notice the light pink hue on his cheeks, partly from the rain and running and partly from you, not that he would ever admit that, though.

"I wouldn't mind you taking care of me, Scara."

"I know."

I wouldn't mind either, he thinks.

His hands start to grow tired, so his one hands stop shielding you and instead pinch lightly at your cheek. You lean into his soft touch, closing your eyes.

"You're so careless." He says with the softest tone ever spoken, and he leans down to press a little kiss to your forehead, making you put your hands flat on his chest. The kiss lingers and feels more intimate than anything before, the pure love and warmth bouncing off your skin and melting into you.

"Scrap this, let's just go home and I'll draw us a bath."

"Wait, this first-"

You first press a peck to the corner of his mouth and he gets the message immediately, adjusting your mouths to properly kiss you.

He swears if the world was burning down, he'd still find time to kiss you properly, just how you deserved.

His mouth moves slowly against yours, calculated and with intention. It's not long before you part your lips for him, allowing his tongue to meet yours in a gentle dance.

It's like your hands have a mind of their own when they go up and tug at his silky hair, resulting in him letting out a sound from the back of his throat, which makes you almost lose it completely.

You pull away, panting heavily. He's unable to stay too far away, though, staying as close to you as possible without necessarily kissing you.

"Yes, let's go home now-"

"-I thought you'd never agree."

Who knows what was to expect when you two arrived at home, all riled up like that?

Ur art is such an inspiration and motivation for me, as a fellow artist. I’ve been following ur stuff for a bit now and I was wondering how you decided to draw loid, yor, and anya the way you do. I say this bc I really want to start making my own fan arts, but i struggle to take this anime style and have these character read as [insert character] without it being in a “anime style.”

And I guess this applies to any character you want take from a media, and translate it into your style. Bc i don’t necessarily think ur art style is considered “anime” i kinda just see it as an abstraction ig. But even if it is, it isn’t in the style of anime show is yk? Yet the characters read as who they’re supposed to be.

And I think a while back you u mentioned that you were struggling on decided how to draw loid. ig i wanna know How did you come to the decision that “yes, this looks correct and I wanna draw him like this.”

Is it finding defining feature and proportions? Just messing around until you figure something out? And I assume you make a character sheet to keep it consistent?

i will try my best to answer below, but i dont think it is anything profound or super secret lmao

so i think that artists get really caught up with finding/establishing a style when they are first starting out. i say this because i was no different. to me it was like 'oh if i have a style then i am a Real artist instead of just a copier'

but like, i think that order is backwards. like the more that you draw things you enjoy, the more those drawings will become your own and in your 'style' if that makes sense. heavy emphasis on the quantity here. you just gotta go really at it. and the best way to do this is through sheer quantity tbh.

however at the same time, i dont really agree with the whole 'draw x things per day every day' thing cuz sometimes thats just hard man. i mean you mentioned you were in art school so you're probably drawing every day anyways, but for a hobbyist or fanartist (me lol) its mostly based on whether u feel like drawing or not. Which is why its rlly cool when you have a show/book/movie/anything you're really into which makes you want to draw more! it becomes something fun rather than a chore.

so basically, dont view a style as something you have to develop right away, or turn drawing into a chore, because that will be very counteractive trust me.

another important thing i wanted to mention, you said "reference photo trap" but ITS NOT A TRAP! USE REFERENCES!!! REFERENCES ARE IMPORTANT AND GOOD (i am assuming you already know this, but using references is not the same as tracing. just to make it clear)

this is another thing common with newer artists (and of course how i used to be), where you feel like you have to draw 'from your mind' for it to be an indicator of any skill. NOT TRUE!! you need to use references to get better!

lastly, to answer your question (as best i can lol) there was never any point when i decided 'yes this is it' when drawing. you just draw and draw and keep changing and growing. it is a little of everything you said (defining features, proportions, messing around) but it is also just drawing a lot and having fun! :D oh and i definitely do not have a character sheet. i am not anywhere near that organized LMAO

The main reason why you haven't heard much about the AvA Cartoon Villain verse is that I'm horrible at actually updating any of my AUs here on Tumblr

But you've handed me a perfect opportunity to info dump and info dump I shall

Okay so, as a recap, the Cartoon Villain verse (aka the CV!verse) is an AU I created back before the start of AvM season 3 started where I wanted to be incredibly self-indulgent about the possibility of the Dark Lord ever returning so me and a couple of others on the Enthusiasts server started listing off funny saturday morning cartoon villain tropes we liked. And lo and behold, the CV!verse was created

As it stands now, the CV!verse is an AU where after the events of Showdown, Dark wakes up from being blasted into the side of the mountain and literally stumbles his way onto Purple's MAC. At this point, Purple has already made up with their villagers and is back being their king. So when Dark arrives, he sees Purple wearing a crown, decks them in the face, declares himself ruler of the castle, and them promptly passes tf out.

Purple in their utter confusion, takes Dark back to the castle and nurses him back to health. As thanks, Dark offers Purple a job as his henchman, and Purple is so amused (and quite literally has nothing better to do) agrees.

So now they're a Villain and Henchman duo who's goal is to take over Alan Becker's PC and the Color Gang (also known as the Color Lames, Dark's nickname for them) has to stop them. Additionally, despite this being created before AvM s3, I still have incorporated some elements, particularly the characters, from that season. Although, nothing is canon past AvM Lucky Blocks and that includes the current AvA arc with Victim.

Essentially, I've taken these sticks and I'm playing around with them like dolls. Some characters I've changed in terms of backstory pretty drastically because it fits in better with the AU and frankly, its funnier.

Also because of the cartoon influences, I like imagining the AU takes place in like episodic seasons.

So Season 1 would be where Chosen (whose been going around the Interweb as a Virus Hunter) ended up back on Alan's PC and after finding out Dark is still alive, agrees to mentor Second. Dark is absolutely THRILLED that Chosen is back because that means he can have his nemesis back (and he does genuinely miss him but he'll never admit it). The season would be about introducing the characters with the overarching plot being the struggle of accepting change and whether or not it's okay to accept a role that was placed upon you.

Season 2 is where we meet Victim/Vic (also known as L!Vic whose is based off of @iluvylalevu Victim) who at the end of the season is revealed to be an Alternate Dimensional Traveler. So he's not this AU's Victim. Vic ends up joining Dark and Purple on their adventures because tbh, their shenanigans are a lot of fun and he looooove silly stuff. This season is also where we're introduced to King MT, a evil genius inventor in the field of robotics (who is also very divorced and sometimes Gold will stop by to help out). King doesn't actually appear (aside from a few mentions) until the end of the season. This season would focus on expanding the world of the AU, going over some sticks new backstories (Purple's parents are still alive and the family is not broken!!) while the overarching plot would be dealing with the feelings of not belonging and of being replaced.

Season 3 is where we get into dabbling with Alternate Universe stuff. Because at the end of Season 2, Vic goes back to his own universe and that inspires Dark to start looking into how to travel into other universe. Due to this tampering with reality, a new character appears on Alan's PC who happens to be a ghost stick figure named "Shade". So while Dark is doing AU theory, the Color Gang is looking for clues as to who "Shade" is and why xir bound to the desktop. By the end of the season, Dark figures out dimensional travel and its revealed that "Shade" is this AU's version of Victim who at remembering xir past, pulls an "Aggie Prenderghast from Paranorman" and starts destroying the desktop. Dark, Purple, the Color Gang, and Chosen have to escape into L!Vic's dimension to avoid the fallout. This season's main theme is the yearning for something new and the grief of the past.

Season 4, the group heads back and through the power of friendship (and promises of forgiveness and second chances), they manage to calm Victim down, who decides xe like the name Shade better. And honestly, that's as far as I got. This would also be the point where CV!Dark starts visiting other AvA AUs for fun (like how the CV!Trio visited my AvA Mafia AU ^^)

But yeah, that's about it. An overview of the AU!

Honestly, if anyone wants I'd be more than happy to info dump about any specific things about the AU. Like characters, character relationships, any episode ideas. That kinda stuff

This fandom is so strange sometimes. Arguing for four years over what is already clear. I've been in this fandom for years, although becoming increasingly disillusioned. I'm tired of being called insane, delusional and anything under the sun for simply reading books as they are and seeing what every other casual reader sees, and minding my own business. I'm leaving now, until we get an announcement. Just like countless others non-confrontational users have left over the years. I can't stand the constant arguing over nothing even though I try to stay out of it and filter it out. It will have been for nothing when elains book is eventually announced. Which has been obvious for four years.

For antis’ ships to work, as you know, Gwynriel has to happen before Elucien hence Elains book has to come last & Azriels first. Their ships dont logically work otherwise and they know this. The whole reason there’s a debate on whether or not Elains book is next - is due to individuals quite literally being in denial/delusional - hoping through some miracle Sjm will decide to write about Azriel and a new character we have just met instead of the Elain book she had planned and researched well in advance. Apparently Gwyn showing up in a *few* pages of a bonus = her pov next despite the fact - even by using their own flawed logic, Elain appeared in 2 bonuses. One talked about her future arc, the other left her and Az on a cliffhanger which was the same technique used for Nessian/Feysand.

Even eluciens’ know there is no way Lucien is getting his pov in the next book. So if elains book is confirmed to be next - that is the end of elucien. Hence why they go red explaining how her book has to be last despite that contradicting so much of what Sjm has said and confirmed. As for gwynriel, they’re just delusional. When an author has literally stated she left clues for Elains book within the last book yet you are still insisting that Az will share a book with Gwyn - it speaks for itself.

I think these past 4 years have really shown how how far people would go to convince themselves something they hate isn’t happening. It would make a good psychology study tbh - who knows, someone may do it in the future. I think this new wave of antis that have recently joined the fandom: 1) don’t have fandom etiquette 2) have no sense of logically creating an arguement for their ship - that side has genuinely decreased in being logical and making sense. As far as nowadays, they’re just denying canon and lying about the books/interviews. You can’t argue with these types of people’ and they don’t want you to argue with them. Either agree with their baseless takes or get called stupid for disproving them before they block you.

Honestly- I understand the frustration so much, because you’re arguing with something thats so in the face obvious, clear and logical. Ong, its as simple as 2 + 2 = 4 - but then an oddball comes around and says no, Its 5 and you’re just left dumbfounded at how someone can be so confident in being wrong. That is what the acotar fandom feels like. It doesn’t help that Elain/Elriel have always been unpopular therefore have always been hated. As you, I have also been in the fandom for years. I’ve literally grown up and spent teen years in this fandom and year by year, it becomes less enjoyable and more frustrating. I love taking breaks every now and then because you honestly do need to step back from time to time - it helps so much especially if you start getting into other less toxic fandoms.

My general thoughts are - we are going to see a LOT more BS takes from gwynriels & eluciens as they scramble about trying to prove their ship is happening - as time comes closer, I think we will have a lot of antis coming out and saying they don’t care anymore on who the next book is about whilst others that are more deep into the Ga/El side are still going to deny elriel happening. Take breaks and loosely be part of the fandom - we are not getting anything until spring time. There is no point - literally 0 - getting into petty arguements with the other side. Keep your peace, use the block and not interested button as much as you can. Join another fandom - there are so many authors out there who treat their fandoms better then Sjm & her team has treated the acotar fandom.

okay so. now that ive taken some time to breathe, compose myself, and gather my thoughts, lemme lay out why the teen wolf movie was a hot holy mess (besides, you know, the obvious) as a teen wolf enthusiast and expert.

a lot of the characters were really little more than set dressing. to be specific, i think liam could have been replaced by a mailbox with a hat and the movie would have been the same (and this is coming from a major liam fan). the same can be said for mason, malia, melissa, peter, and honestly even the sheriff (which i hate bc god he was such a core of the show). i think parrish was only useful in one specific instance and even that isn't enough to warrant him being in the film. the characters i loved felt like cardboard cutouts and that wasnt fair to me, to the characters, or to the actors. i would have rather they not been there at all tbh. like just leave liam out of this if youre gonna do him like that fr

a lot of the plot points felt... disjointed and weird. saraid said it felt like three different movies in one and i have to agree. derek and eli felt like its own thing, then scott and allison, and then everything else (whatever the hell parrish and malia had going on, the lydia and jackson buddy cop comedy, liam in... japan with a ramen shop i think? and some random girlfriend that happened to be a kitsune) kind of fell to the wayside in between.

this movie was truly so flat without kira. it was hard to make a nogitsune movie without stiles, but it was almost impossible to make without her. hikari unfortunately ended up just feeling like a woman they randomly shoved into all the plot points kira was supposed to be in. because she didnt have a character besides liams girlfriend (and because liam was barely a character himself), she just couldn't compare and so kiras lack of presence was really felt. she left a huge hole in the narrative. they didnt even mention her and you knew what was missing. if you had cut khylin and dylan sprayberrys checks entirely, im sure they would have had enough to pay her as much as the rest of her white coworkers :) but that's just my opinion xxx

this was supposed to be for fans of the original series, but really just felt like jeff davis's weird rare pair fanfiction. instead of focusing on the dynamics that already existed - melissa and the sheriff, malia and peter, scott and liam, derek and. anyone really - he ended up delving into all these new dynamics with only two hours to develop them. malia and parrish (which. i really had to mentally run through the show to see if those two had interacted before and i dont think they have), liam and hikari, and derek and eli. all of which had a shot at being interesting but because there were so many different plots going on, it all just felt. awkward and confusing.

that being said, im gonna move onto derek and eli generally. i like eli! i do. i thought he was funny, i thought the actor was super charming (although the timeline made no sense because if he was born fifteen years ago And allison died fifteen years ago he would be braedens and. hate to say it folks. thats not braedens baby. make him mixed jeff davis you fucking coward). really, i liked him. ... but not at the expense of dereks character. the derek i knew was an asshole. he was mean, he was sarcastic, he was a bastard (honorifically). its not to say that people cant change, but... the derek i saw in the movie was a complete 180 from the derek we last saw in the series. honestly, the derek i saw in the series probably wouldn't have made a good parent - we saw how he was with erica, isaac, and boyd. even with scott. derek was kind of a dick. i dont even think he would have wanted kids - i think he would raise them out of duty, and i think he would if a partner wanted him to. but i dont think kids were ever in his life plan. and i think that could have been super interesting to see with him and eli. i think making him a parent could have been really interesting and it just. crumbled.

i know i mentioned the timeline in that last bit but. the timeline. it hurts my head. when was eli born. what year is it. how long has it been since scott has been in beacon hills. im so confused.

lets talk about adrian harris. shall we. i have made a list of people who i think would have been a better villain reveal are you ready: allison, peter, theo, chris argent, kate argent (resurrected), matt daehler (resurrected), victoria argent (resurrected), kira herself, danny mahealani, rafe mccall, isaac's shit dad, coach, greenberg, me with a baseball bat filled with rusty nails, jeff davis in a wig. the list goes on. you could not have picked a more random and less memorable character to reveal as your villain. i almost felt like i was being mocked. "haha! you didnt expect it to be this guy? the chemistry teacher who also died fifteen years ago? who had almost nothing to do with the plot until season 3? stupid! idiot!" i have never been so mad in my life

speaking of villain. did they forget what a nogitsune is. it needs a host. its not some guy they can stab to death. its a concept, a feeling, a parasite. its a manifestation of mental illness. but no sorry excuse me i must be wrong bc now its also a werewolf??????? im sorry. am i the crazy one. give me void allison! give me allison as the host and shes being taken over and she has those bags under her eyes and that creepy void stare and grin! give me crystal reed emmy noms! while we're on the subject, heres some more questions about the nogitsune include: why was it in a jar? why was it with LIAM of all people (who didnt even know what that was)? why did its powers completely change? HOW was it a werewolf????????? i cant stop thinking about it.

i said it once and ill say it again: jackson fucking carried this movie. he was giving all season one jackson, he was bringing comic relief, he was even bringing up ethan when no one else would! king! he carried. but he shouldn't have had to. dont get me wrong, i think crystal reed ate and left no crumbs. this was allisons movie and it should have been. but when the other two standout characters imo were jackson (who arguably did nothing) and coach (who did even less)... you simply didnt use your characters well. i think i would put deaton up there and even chris, but... scott and lydia? this should have been their movie. but scott spent nearly the whole movie ignoring his friends, and lydia was reduced to 'woman whose plot was about a man,' again. it was horrible. lydia outgrew that song and dance by season two. and scott? hasnt been to beacon hills in twelve years? hasnt seen his mom or his friends? not the scott mccall i know.

this is not about shipping discourse this post will never be about shipping discourse so i say this as a completely objective party. that being said. st/dia was so strangely shoved in there at the end. how did harris even know about lydia leaving stiles. how did he know about her dream. how did it add to the plot. like yes the nogitsune feeds of chaos and strife but i think lydia was getting enough of that watching her friends get murdered. it felt like a weird way to explain why dob wasnt there and it simply didnt work. i would have rather they not said anything about stiles at all.

anyway, this is skipping over a lot of other little things that i thought were really bad (sexualizing malia who literally had the mentality of an eight year old for most of her life AGAIN, why was mason a fucking cop, peters lack of interaction with the hale family which is what made him interesting in the first place, the absolute insanity of allison coming back to life and just being absolutely okay even though shes been dead for fifteen years, died at the hands of her friend, and almost everyone she knew including stiles, isaac, and kira are all just gone now), but boy oh boy. for a while it was funny bad. like "oh this is bad but i can still enjoy this for what it is" bad. but those last ten minutes. what is actually absolutely wrong with jeff davis. there are very few times ive felt this betrayed by tv shows i held this close to my heart, but im there. im heartbroken. i wont go on about it here, bc honestly, it would need its own post considering how much i have to say. but if the rest of the movie was bad? that was shit was traumatizing.

anyway. so sorry this post is this long, and so sorry i couldnt come back with a positive review. this show died long ago; i think we should have just let it rest - nobody asked for a reunion, and now i can see that was with good reason. so the next time jeff davis opens up an email with a header titled 'sequel idea' and he ccs tyler posey, i think we should all just agree to ler arden cho beat him to death in a dennys parking lot instead.

I’m dreading the third game of Spiderman might kill off Harry :/ either he’s goblin (solo or probably along with daddy-o) and dies a la Hero Sacrifice. Or kept comatose and in the end with grim results the decision is to pull the plug on him. idk I feel Harry’s fate is doom and gloom. But they could have killed Harry at the end of this sequel giving a strong motivation for Norman to be the Goblin and hatred for Spider-Man…yet they didn’t. idk rambling thoughts. What do you think?

Personally i can see both options. I saw someone in the tags of my last headcanon post say that it wouldnt make sense to save him from death in this game only to kill him in the next. On some level i get that, why wait when you could do it now?

I have two worst case scenarios in my head:

Harry wakes up from his coma w amnesia a la the third Tobey Maguire movie. Hes unaware of Pete being Spider-Man and Peter, thinking hes protecting Harry, wont tell him. This may cause a rift in their friendship when Harry finds out - or if Norman ends up going goblin and dies - Spider-Man is to blame in Harrys eyes and he'll go after him then. To me this is a tired trope of Harry getting an intense hatred for Spidey and wanting to kill him over his father. It always felt out of character for me and i truly TRULY hope they dont go this route.

Harry becomes the Kobold. In the comics, Kobold is essentially Harrys way of making the Green Goblin a good guy. If he still wants to fight by Peters side, he'll find a way to do it. Kobold would make a lot of sense to me personally, as it kind of continues their dynamic from this game. Then at the end theres a heros sacrifice to be made and Harry goes for it despite Peters protests. This would be lazy to me too though because he essential already did the heros sacrifice in this game. Seems like theyd just want us to have more time with him to love him even more, just to make losing him hurt worse. I wouldn't put it past an intrepid writer to think they could make it work, but it just seems lazy to me.

Actual best case scenario for me though? Harry wakes up as the g-serum is being injected. Hes against being his dads experiment all over again so he runs and finds Peter. Hes not aware of his pseudo-retirement, he just goes straight to the place thats always been his safe haven; Peters home. He asks Peter to hide him from his dad. Tries to explain everything but hes exhausted and frantic. Peter agrees and they take him into hiding.

Norman, ever the expert deflector, doesnt see this as a failing on his part. Hes convinced spider-man had something to do with his son escaping so he puts out a hit on him. Hes ready, willing, and able to capture and kill at least one of the two spider-men it doesnt matter. We see him pardon Wilson Fisk for this job, and when Fisk cant do it, he has to. Normans going to go Goblin. I know it, i can feel it in my bones.

Miles asks Peter to get back in action and he does. Fisk, plus potentially Otto again, plus this brand new villain in town is too much for any one person to handle. Heres where i see Harry becoming a "Guy In The Chair" for Peter like Ganke is for Miles. Two Guys in the Chair helping the spider-men is definitely better than one. I could also see Harrys goblin powers start to emerge but he keeps pushing them down. Last time he gave into power it didnt end well for anyone.

In an effort to not write out the entire plot of the game as i see fit (because itd be long and there are so many moving pieces and characters and IDEK WHERE THEYRE GONNA PUT SILK IN-), i think if Harry does take on the cowl he'll be doing so against his father. I think i see Harry becoming Goblin/Kobold to fight against Norman and ultimately try to help Peter/Miles. This is where i see Harry either accidentally killing Norman or Norman killing his son (and of course, blaming Spider-Man)

There is also room, in my mind, to bring back Venom a la Lethal Protector/Agent Venom. But tbh if they do, i would much rather Venom go to Eddie Brock or Flash Thompson. But thats just the separate Venom Fangirl Entity within me.

Ultimately my hope of course is that Harry not die and they dont go down that all too tired and hackneyed trope of Harry growing to hate Peter dor whatever reason. I have made it clear every time I’ve spoken on this that I do not think it is okay for adults to be directly engaging with teens about sexual content. In everything I have seen about this specific situation, I haven’t once seen anything about this user directly talking to minors about smut. If true, that is certainly not okay. But I did just go scan through twitter again, because obviously this isn’t something I want to be talking out of my ass about, and I couldn’t find anything that aligns with what you are describing. I will maintain that how I saw the situation play out, it was first a mad rush to “protect Dan and Phil and don’t scare them off again by talking about sex” with all the typical rhetoric of that argument, which, okay. And then it seemed like people tried to retroactively up the stakes, which is when what I saw as a bad-faith argument was introduced, which was the implication that this user was deliberately putting explicit content in front of young people, behaving as a groomer, etc. And then people ran with that.

Jongin and Chanyeol found themselves in a familiar place they hadn’t been to in years.

‘We really did jump,” Chanyeol said in awe, taking in the old bar they would frequent when they were much younger adults than they were now.

Jongin felt jittery, like this wasn’t right. He had been told that his power could do much more than allow him to travel the world. He could travel dimensions, travel other worlds….

And time travel apparently.

He had no idea where exactly they were. Suho had told him to think of a time before shit hit the fan, before they lost everything.

“Excuse me,” Chanyeol called to a bartender. “Silly question, but what’s the date today?”

The bartender took him in wearily. Probably wondering if he needed to be cut off or not.

“Please,” he pressed. “It’s important.”

She sighed. “It’s the fifth of September. Twenty eighteen.”

“Twenty eighteen,” Chanyeol repeated with wide eyes, locking them with Jongin. “Bro, you fucking did it.”

“That’s too far back,” Jongin said between clenched teeth. He was aiming more towards 2021. Three years before The Attack.

“But there’s a reason why you sent us here.”

Chanyeol may be right about that, but he couldn’t understand it himself. The reasoning behind this specific time, this specific spot.

But then he heard a recognizable laugh and all the color drained from his face.

Chanyeol heard it too, throwing him a look full of warning. But Jongin ignored it, walking deeper into the dim building in search of the voice.

At a table, surrounded by a group of familiar faces, he saw the reason why he brought himself back here.

You.

The love of his life. The one who sacrificed everything that day. The one he lost.

You were there. Alive. Laughing. Unaware of the journey you were about to embark, of how drastically the world was going to change.

You were the reason why he even attempted to time travel.

He took a step towards the table, but then Chanyeol had him pressed against a wall, his forearm dug into Jongin’s neck.

“We don’t know what will happen if we interact with them,” he hissed. “We’re here to observe. To search for the red force. To discover the traitor.”

Jongin’s eyes were frantic as he tried to look at you again. “They’re here. The traitor is sitting at that table as we speak!”

“Yes,” Chanyeol agreed gravely. “With your wife. Your dead wife.” Jongin went still in his grip. “Shit, we might already be here. What’ll happen it we bump into our younger selves?”

Jongin wasn’t sure. He didn’t understand how any of this stuff worked. He just knew that it did. But, he couldn’t accept Chanyeol’s words yet. He searched his memories, wondering if he had met you, by now. But, you hadn’t. It wouldn’t be for a moment still.

“We’re not. I haven’t.” He swallowed thickly, which was hard to do with Chanyeol’s arm still pressed against his neck. “I haven’t met her yet.”

Chanyeol sighed. “This isn’t a good idea, Jongin.”

“Please, just let me see her,” he begged. “It’s been over a year, Chanyeol. I promise I won’t do anything, but I need to talk to her. I need to hear her voice again. I….”

He was so messed up without you. A ghost of the man he used to be. He swore he died the same night you did. Chanyeol saw that. Saw what the loss had done to his partner.

It was reluctantly, but he let him go, ignoring the relieved smile that bloomed on Jongin’s face. He pointed at him. “No funny business. We have a mission. We have to stick to it.”

“And we will,” Jongin was quick to say. “But for today, let’s just be normal, while we still can. This is the only peace we’ll ever get again. Let’s enjoy it.”

Chanyeol took in the bar that no longer existed in their timeline. Took in the smells and voices, and Jongin saw just how tired his friend was. How the war had drained him. He’d lost just as many people, had suffered just as much.

“Okay,” Chanyeol fully relented. “Let’s order some drinks.”

After getting a couple drinks, the two of them made their way over to the table you were sat at. Jongin couldn’t take his eyes off of you. You were even more beautiful than he remembered, nearly glowing under the yellow lights ahead.

“Mind if we join?” He asked, looking nowhere else but at you.

“Oh?” Another girl at the table, your best friend he realized, said. She took in the tall handsome men. “We could really enjoy the company.”

Jongin wasted no time sliding into the empty chair beside you, thankful for that. He sat a cup in front of you and you studied it for a brief moment before braving a sip.

Your eyebrows raised when it hit your taste buds.

“This is my favorite. How did you know?”

He grinned knowingly at you. “I could tell you were a woman with class.”

You laughed breathlessly at that, a bit intimidated under his intense stare. Still, he was ridiculously handsome—handsome enough to ignore the red flags. So, you introduced yourself.

“Jongin.” He held onto your hand and nearly sobbed at the familiar contact. When you went to pull away, he refused to let go. You giggled before shyly turning back to your drink.

Chanyeol cleared his throat, and Jongin remembered himself, finally letting your hand go.

He took in the others at the table. There were three girls and two men, including you. The men he recognized instantly as Kyungsoo and Baekhyun.

It was one of them, the traitor. The one who gave the Red Force their plans, leading to the attack that changed everything, that killed Jongin’s wife.

No. He wouldn’t think about that right now. Not when he had you back.

“So, you come here often?” Your best friend, Kim Jiwon, asked. Jongin was suspicious of her as well. She was a lousy friend, and was rather close to Kyungsoo. She also disappeared after the attack.

Chanyeol and Jongin locked eyes.

“We do,” Chanyeol said, sipping the brown drink he had ordered for himself. He closed his eyes as it coated his tongue, savoring the old taste he once enjoyed.

“Usually after work. A little treat after a hard day.” Jongin supplied.

“We do too!” You said excitedly. He fought his smile at your joy. That was something you would always say everytime you ended up at the bar.

“Oh?” He played off. “What is it that you do?”

“We’re engineers,” Baekhyun spoke up. “We work for the government. We build—”

“Planes,” Kyungsoo interrupted.

Jongin lifted an eyebrow at you, questioning the legitimacy of Kyungsoo’s answer. You shrugged. “You can say that.”

The night continued on. The table went round for round on drinks. Jongin was finding himself getting drunk for the first time in years. He was never much of a drinker to begin with, but today he needed all the alcohol he could get.

“I’ll have the Flying Dutchmen,” he ordered to the waitress, who rolled her eyes at the mostly juice drink. “And my wife here will have another Pink Lady.”

Chanyeol kicked his leg. He pouted.

You tilted your head curiously. You were pressed so close to him, he could feel your chest rise and fall against his arm. “Your wife? You know, that’s the third time you’ve called me that tonight.”

“Is it?” he asked, falling more into your space. You allowed him.

“Yeah,” you smirked up at him. “Why is that?”

“Because,” he slurred, nose touching yours. “I’m gonna marry you one day.”

“You don’t even know me,” you pointed out, but he caught how breathless you sounded, how warm your face grew.

He hummed. “Not now maybe, but I already know that I love you.”

You watched him for a moment, appearing very sober as you wondered if this was okay. If he meant what he was saying, and wasn’t being a creep. Gorgeous be damned. Telling a stranger you loved them was definitely a red flag.

You swallowed thickly. “Love? That’s…that’s a serious word.”

He nodded slowly, staring at the sensual shape of your mouth. God, he wanted to kiss you. He wanted to show you just how much he loved you, to tell you he never stopped. Ever.

“And I’m very serious when it comes to you.” His tone revealed as much.

Your drinks arrived, and to his satisfaction, you didn’t turn away from him. “Prove it.”

And maybe it was the drinks that made you so bold. Or it was the way the handsome stranger looked at you. There was… a sadness in his eyes. A sadness and a devotion that you found both startling and intriguing.

He went to do just that. His lips brushed against yours when his friend called his name. A reminder.

“Maybe it’s time to go,” his friend—Chanyeol, you recalled—suggested.

“But we just got our drinks,” Baekhyun whined.

“At least finish those first. We have to go soon too. Work in the morning.” You laughed awkwardly under the weight of the tall man’s gaze.

“One more drink,” he said, but his attention was on the man beside you, who couldn’t seem to focus on anything other than you.

He was a bit more solemn than a moment ago. He didn’t reply, instead lifting his drink and clinking it against your own before chugging it empty.

“Jongin!” You gasped, disappointed that he finished it so quickly. Was he that eager to leave you?

He shivered before getting to his feet. Not even gracing you with a goodbye before he was heading to the door.

“We’ll take care of the bill,” Chanyeol said as he followed his friend.

No. There was no way you were going to let the man who just told you he was going to marry you walk away without even a goodbye.

“Wait!” You called after them, running past Chanyeol to grab Jongin’s sleeve.

He stopped walking immediately. The men shared a glance as Chanyeol walked past, but didn’t say anything.

Finally, he turned to you.

“Will I see you again?” You couldn’t help but ask. It was unlike you to chase after a man, but Jongin was different. You could tell.

He threw a look over his shoulder, at Chanyeol, and then grabbed your face, pulling you in to kiss you.

You had never felt something like this before. You wrapped your arms around his neck, holding him close to you as he kissed you as if a man reunited with a lover after being torn away from them. Like he wanted you.

Like he loved you.

When he finally pulled away, with difficulty on both parts, there were tears in his eyes.

“I’ll see you soon,” was all he was able to get out before he stormed out the door.

You swore you saw him vanish into thin air before it closed.

there's nothing to perfect. you already are everything, as everything is awareness. you can have 'negative' emotions and thoughts and just observe them. they do not have to mean anything.

and they don't, since you are pure awareness, you dont have to identify with the emotion or thought. you can just let it exist without labelling it. it doesn't cancel anything out.

here's some vids on detachment. yes, its law of attraction, whatever. what amy says is still vaulable: let the thought or emotion pass. just let it exist. she says it perfectly, that people think to let it exist means to agree with it or to like it! no one said to do that!

just let the emotion, thought, whatever be there and you focus on what you want. this is why i repeat: nothing has to be wrong with what you're doing. not everything is gonna effect you, threaten you etc. there's NOTHING to fight because it all you!

that thought or emotion or circumstance is being observed by you, your awareness. you can feel or know you are sad, right? so naturally you are observing as awareness, now you might treat the thought as real and affirm against it, but that is tiring.

or you can go 'okay' and move on. move your awareness to something else. if you have trouble doing this, then self soothing through affs, visualising etc, is a good starting point, but after you find that you don't even need to do that anymore. why? because the scary thought or emotion doesn't exist anymore! you are aware of something else.

now this is something i've thought about: 'what if it exists again? what if i think abt it and it exists?!'. this is you taking the mind-body as real. just relax yourself and remind yourself of who you are. (tbh all these techniques are for the mind-body, awarness doesn't need them) anyway, i think that this maintanence of awareness is very natural and effortless, thats why its so hard for some people to understand that they are awareness. everything you see when you close your eyes, and in the 'outside' is awareness, so it all upholds this form of existence. so don't worry abt anything seeming to ruin your being, because it can't. there's nothing outside of you.

okay here's a tiny writing tip(?? i've realized now that's been absolutely GREAT considering i just recently broke a 2-3yrs long writers block and have been writing quite a bit lmfao

Dont feel like writing a scene 'cause its boring? dont write it

and no, i dont mean "just write what happens between brackets and go back to write it later on" (although u should also definitely do that). i mean just skip the whole scene.

the key here is to realize and recognize if you dont wanna write a scene just because you're uninspired/tired/wanna write something else, or if you don't wanna write it because you don't have anything specific to say about that scene.

if you dont wanna write a scene bc you're excited to skip to the next one, then skip the scene you dont wanna write and go back to write it later on.

however, if you dont wanna write a scene because you think it's boring, or because you're trying to write it but it's just bland or too straight-forward, or because you don't have anything interesting to say about what happens in the scene, then just skip it. dont write it- if you, the writer, think the scene is boring, then why would the readers find it interesting?

again, you shouldn't just avoid writing any scene you dont like (or do. there's no rules tbh), but the key is knowing when a scene adds to the story and when it doesn't. if it doesn't, then you don't need to write it.

what do i mean by this?

here's an example:

in a work im writing now, the summary, the prologue and the whole story are building up to two characters "teaming up" to do something. i've already set up their personalities, the context, how they met and what makes them think they should team up, what "teaming up" would mean for them, why they wanna do it and why they're doubting it, etc.

then i get to the scene where they actually talk about teaming up.

and it would be a boring conversation– just both characters saying "hey, u sure?" back and forth for a while until they agree to do it. we already know their motivations and doubts, and the conversation itself would be quite bland because both characters are apprehensive to express those things to the other.

so, why write that conversation? in a different work, i might wanna write the conversation if i want to use it as an oportunity so show something about their dynamic, but the way the scene is set up, i dont have much to say about how that conversation went. again, the key is knowing i dont feel like writing that scene because i dont have anything important to say about it, because i've already said the things i wanted to say about both characters wanting to team up but hesitating– so, i'm skipping the scene.

so i'll write the set up for that conversation and how both characters approach it (again, i wouldnt advise to skip a scene if it might add important details about their dynamics) but i don't write the actual conversation, just their hesitation and motivations before it happens.

if you think you want to keep one (1) specific detail about the scene, you can just include it later on (e.g: i dont write the two characters' conversation, but in a later scene one of them might mention something the other said during said conversation). again, make sure you recognize what the scene adds to the overall story and make sure to include it somehow, either by detailing the characters' thoughts previous to the skipped scene, by making them reference the skipped scene later on, or just writing the whole scene if you think it's necessary. however, a lot of the times, it might not be.

again, this is just a tip from a not-so-experienced-and-definitely-not-professional writer who just. realized skipping certain scenes adds a lot to the pacing and overall flow of the story, especially when i feel like i would be pushing myself to write an otherwise bland/uninteresting scene that i could probably skip if i wanted to.

so yeah, take it with a grain of salt lmao.

I think he likes Gamer food and all that but I want a deeper dive then that. Like do you think he likes candy? Sour or sweet? What's his favorite soda? What he allergic to? Peanuts cause that's so basic but also a common food that everyone is probably surprised he cant eat and now that he mentioned it they never can remember him eatting whatever it is.

I think Shig is a briefs wearer, nothing else no undershirt but Dabu wears undershirts and so does Twice. Unfortunately Himiko wasn't raided correct enough to feel comfortable wearing stuff like that but she likes the look of pretty bras and panties but cant bring herself to wear them, she just wears a sports bra and boxers she wishes she could wear them tho.

Dabi and Twice are the only ones who'll sit around shirtless, moreso Dabi then Twice, Dabi sags, Shigaraki's trans ass admires their gender so hard, at first couldnt bring himself to be shirtless around them but when he got comfortable on a bit day he just fuck it, took his shirt off.

I can't really think of his favorite things like this off the top of my head, but going of what you pointed here, let's try to think something. So about food first: thinking a favorite food for him is hard because of his upbringing and then poverty, but i like to think he would like sweet things (not extremely sweet, but yk), so maybe a cake? something that still is a good memory from his childhood. He likes candy, especially strawberry flavored ones, but that sounds lame so he lies and says he prefers sour stuff. I would just go with cola for him, cause yk he's a gamer and lowkey unhealthy, so a lot of ramen and cola when he pulls all night to play LOL. Not all greasy food, but mostly fries, he loves those, he would eat a bucket everyday if he could. For some reason my first thought for foods he doesn't like was seafood but he's japanese so that would limit his choices a lotkjkjdf but maybe he doesn't like extremely spicy stuff, it upsets his stomach. As for allergies, I'm gonna project here and say he has a corn allergy (idk how common corn is in japan, but where i live it's really everyday food so i have a lot of trouble with this).

I can honestly really see you being in a relationship with Saiki, it would obviously be a slow burn but i feel like with the characteristics you listed+Saiki's abilities it would be highly likely.

For example: after being 'sort of friends' for a bit Saiki would start stepping in if you let yourself be walked over. He would be subconciously keeping track of your thoughts and when he realizes what youre saying isnt matching with your feelings when youre agreeing to plans that dont actually want to go to Saiki would step in and be like 'did you forget that we're (insert random plan)' to give you a chance to 'politely' decline without feeling bad (he doesnt actually make you hold up to your fake plans) (unless you want to). And after a few instances of this you start to catch on that he's geniunly sticking up for you.

I swear if it turns out dabi is restrained in that life support machine thing I will be SICK that is such a cruel thing to do to his character. I'm already so angry about shigaraki's ending and the fact that endeavour is still alive, but if that's where they're going with dabis story I probably wont read the manga anymore tbh. I know the phrase "we beat the villains with friendship!" type trope is being talked about alot with mha rn but it feels so true right now like you re telling me these young kids went through a war and unimaginable trauma and they're just back at school like nothing happened? anon i totally feel you. keeping touya alive on life support is genuinely the cruelest thing they could do for him at this point in the narrative, especially considering the fact that he wanted to die and planned on dying......and they won’t even grant him that. it’s so selfish it’s disgusting. i did have a bit of a meltdown over that last page and my boyfriend was like ‘hey hey hey let’s not jump to conclusions, remember nighteye? maybe they’re just going to have a final goodbye before pulling the plug!’ and i genuinely hope he’s right ._. but i completely agree with you. i have no idea where hori’s going to go with his character. if touya lives, he deserves to be in prison AND therapy for the rest of his life. percy and oliver are in the same year and as far as we know they are the only boys in gryffindor in their year which makes them not only roommates but also the only boys in their room. for seven years.

percy is incredibly misunderstood by his whole family pretty much always, they all avoid him or are rude to him or just misunderstand him completely. with oliver's proximity its very likely hes the first person ever in percys life to properly observe him and understand him!!!

percy is the most career driven singleminded ambitious motherfucker in gryffindor.... second only to oliver!!! who is the most quidditch obsessed bitch on this planet and arguably has more solid career goals of anyone in that entire series. they are hyperfocused! they are girlbossing! they are not getting a wink of sleep bc they both get so lost in their work they forget what time is!

classic jock/nerd combo except oliver is a jock who is secretly a nerd (think of all the quidditch stats!!) and percy is a nerd who is secretly a jock (percy is a master spellcaster and nobody can convince me otherwise, that man fought multiple death eaters on his own at the battle of hogwarts and you do not get that kind of skill from just sitting behind a desk)

idk theres honestly a lot of directions one could take them but theyve just got so much chemistry and so much in common but also different and theyve got so much potential

percy and oliver meet post-war and help each other get their lives moving forward again, its very well written and very sweet but mind the tags its kinda heavy at points, it doesnt shy away from how hard the war was on everyone but the community that the weasleys and the quiddich players have is very warm and i love it
