Two results of mentioning House MD in college (experiences from last week):

New professor for Queerness and Popular Culture made fun of me for calling the show "House MD" because I "called it by its government name." (no I did not point out that House is technically the real name, House MD is the fandom name, so I was calling by its nickname)

Awesome professor I had last semester was apparently so taken with my paper that when she saw House MD autism episode clips in a video she was watching she wanted to email me because "oooh it's THAT from THE THING" but apparently House MD is "that" and my paper is "the thing."

back in 2019-2020 i remember Rogue Flagging being an issue, and for some reason occasional clips i'd upload would get flagged. i remember this being one of them. this was another. NO idea why.

when people are sooo sure the AI and other developments are going to totally upend all elements of our society it feels like I'm talking to someone from 1970 who is sooooo sure that by 2025 we would only be taking weird meal pills instead of anyone ever cooking or eating. and it's like well I guess some people take multivitamins. there are those like scammy supplement regimens. protein powder I guess? but um I wouldn't say that fundamentally changed everything about eating. like we're still people

so. uh. yyyyyeah. when i said i liked all interpretations of their dynamic equally i uh. i lied. and to be totally and completely and 100% honest with you it speaks volumes to the state of the internet that i have been legitimately afraid to say that like i've genuinely been debating and turning it over in my head and arguing with myself about it for days because i don't want people frickin' YELLING at me and telling me to off myself because i like a dadgum fictional ship but it's valentine's and my friend has been hyping up the crap outta me so i'm past the point of having a reasonable excuse to chicken out (and i know myself and if i don't do it today then i likely won't do it at all)

anyway words actually cannot express how obsessed i am with post-o66 aus in which they stay together (largely because i so completely refuse to believe they'd be willing to split up after THAT, ESPECIALLY that soon) so yeah shoutout to the softest fluffiest gut-punch-iest pair in the galaxy to whom everything bad has happened but who stay silly despite the horrors
