One of the things I find really sad on reread is the number of times Mo Ran calls himself dumb because he doesn't know something that was explicitly taught by Chu Wanning in their classes (and it happens quite a lot actually) because he is always saying it's because he wasn't listening, right ?
But how much of that is true and how much of that lack of knowledge is because those moments when Chu Wanning was teaching them were good memories for him and are no longer there for him to access ?
When Xiao Chiye got a clear look at the man before him, he licked away the blood between his teeth and called out to him as though to a lover. “Oh, Lanzhou.”
Oh delicious!! Facing your supposed mortal enemy who has just forced you to retreat and taste blood and calling him seductively like this????!!! I say peak romance!!! This second young master is indeed growing on me
obsessed with ranwan's injured hearts. Mo Ran taking the flower into his heart to protect Chu Wanning, Chu Wanning's scar over his heart where he tried to take out his core to help the world (because of meeting Mo Ran). Chu Wanning losing his core to Mo Ran who's lost his heart. Chu Wanning using spiritual power without a core to save Mo Ran (and heal Taxian Jun, and stop Taxian Jun), and Taxian Jun loving Chu Wanning without a heart capable of love. I'm so glad they fuck about it.
