Hi! I loved the "through their eyes" fanfic with lando, and i was wondering if youd do it with literally any other driver? Maybe oscar, max or charles? If not thats fine x
through their eyes .ೃ࿐
Summary: charles and y/n's relationship through other people's eyes.
lando's version

arthur
arthur loved his brother. he really did. his elder brother was his favourite person in the world sometimes.
key word: sometimes.
he hated his brother when he called in the middle of the night. he hated his brother a little more when his reason for calling was because he was afraid his new little puppy had accidentally eaten chocolates.
charles himself never ate chocolates. arthur knew that. so, he couldn’t understand where charles had the idea that leo ate chocolates.
nevertheless, he let his brother drag him to an emergency vet at 4 am. charles was craddling leo, talking to him in a baby voice. arthur tried to take the whole thing seriously, he really did, but sometimes his brother forgot that other people needed sleep.
"they're taking so long. what if something happens to leo in that time? this is an emergency." charles mumbled.
arthur sighed and said, "you're next in line. just be patient."
charles nodded and went back to running his fingers through leo's fur.
when they finally called charles' name, he immediately stood up and speed walked towards the door. arthur sighed, and followed behind, dragging his feet because he really just wanted to be in his bed right now.
"hi, i'm doctor y/l/n. what brings you here?" the doctor was pretty, arthur had to admit.
though, the funny part was the way his brother had lost the part of his brain that made sentences as he stared at the doctor with wide eyes.
as much as arthur loved to see his brother like this, he refused to let him make a fool of himself, or of arthur.
"his dog apparently ate chocolates?" arthur said.
the vet let out a small chuckle, "you say that as if you're not sure,"
"well, i just came home and saw chocolate wrappers around him, which was weird, and immediately rushed him here." charles finally said, finding the part of his brain that made words.
"that is weird. do you have a lot of chocolate at home?" she asked as she began to check for any signs on leo.
"not really. i don't eat a lot of chocolate," charles said, alternating between the doctor and leo.
"any idea where the chocolate was since it was accessible to such a small dog?"
both leclercs stopped for a second and thought. charles was usually careful about not leaving things like that near leo's reach, well aware that leo was a hyperactive dog. and for the days that charles was away, arthur babysat leo. just like he had done that day.
oh.
arthur's brain finally began working, and he hit his brother's back.
"i had the chocolates!" arthur exclaimed.
charles turned to him, confused, "what?"
"i was babysitting leo today and i got some chocolates with me!"
"so you ate them in my living room and left the wrappers?" charles asked, a little bit of anger seeping through his voice.
oh.
this was what arthur had told himself today to not repeat to his brother. that he had been lazy and decided not to clean up like he knew he should've.
arthur opened his mouth to defend himself, to say anything that could pass off and not have his brother lecture him in the middle of the night. but, the doctor saved him. thank fuck.
"oh, i know what you mean. sometimes, i have too many chocolates, and then i fall asleep from a sugar crash and forget to pick up the wrappers or clean up," she said casually, as she continued checking leo.
charles turned back to her, and arthur watched as he slowly nodded and accepted the answer. arthur wasn't sure whether he wanted to be pissed at that or amazed at the power this woman already held.
she subtly winked at arthur, and he decided that he liked this woman.
she turned to charles and said, "alright, he's not vomitting, so that's a good sign. i'm gonna write my personal number for you just in case there's an emergency."
arthur smiled, though he tried to hide it. he knew what she was doing. he just hoped his brother caught on too.
charles took the piece of paper from her, and thanked her. she waved at the two brothers, as they turned to leave.
just as they settled in charles' car, he asked, "why did she give me her personal number?"
arthur facepalmed.
carlos
carlos had been seeing charles' new "friend" quite often in the paddock. charles hadn't introduced them yet, and carlos didn't know why. he still respected his teammate's wishes.
carlos liked to think that he was an observant man. he liked to think that he knew charles well enough to read his body language and know or at least, understand some part of what his teammate was feeling.
he had been observing charles every time y/n was close by. had been watching the way charles stood a little taller, spoke a little softer, laughed a little harder. watched the way charles almost touched her back while showing her around, and insisted on putting the headphones on her head himself, and the way charles waited and waited for her to do anything and everything.
it reminded him of lando and his girlfriend. though, those two were much more touchy than whatever this was. in comparison, charles seemed hesitant, yet eager.
it was during the fourth or fifth grand prix that carlos noticed that charles was properly touching her. not just a hand on her back to guide her way, but a hand on the waist, and her arm, and sometimes her fingers. not only that, she was touching him just as much. she played with his rings and his hair, and she stood just a tad closer than friends would.
carlos knew then that something had changed. something had definitely changed, and he knew it was for the better. he did not say anything, though. it wasn't his place.
towards the end of the season, charles finally introduced the woman to carlos.
"carlos, this is dr. y/n y/l/n. she's a vet," he paused, "and my girlfriend,"
carlos smiled instantly. shaking y/n's hand, he said, "hello, dr. y/n. i am carlos sainz jr, though i'm sure you're already aware of that."
she laughed, and carlos watched the way charles lit up, "yes, i do know who you are! i'm so glad to finally meet you!"
"me too! i was expecting charles to hide you from the world, especially me," carlos laughed.
"i apologise, that was based on my request," y/n looked slightly apologetic, but she also seemed sure in her response. it was her request to not be known, and she had the vibe that she would fight anyone who questioned it.
"well, then i'm glad to see charles is capable to following requests. my request for feeding him pancakes have always been ignored. hopefully, you can convince him,"
charles groaned, while y/n laughed, leaning into him slightly.
"i'll convince him, for sure. don't worry,"
the three of them chatted for a little while longer, giggling and making fun of charles. when she started yawning, and leaning into charles more, carlos bid his goodbyes to the couple.
he watched as charles tucked her into him, and watched they shared a soft kiss as they walked towards the exit. he watched as charles smiled radiantly, and he smiled as well.
what was it with carlos and watching his teammates finding their forever loves in front of him?
lewis
being a part of ferrari had been a dream. it was everyone's dream. but, lewis had some doubts. it had been a tough decision, definitely. now, though, with almost half of the season over, lewis felt more comfortable.
he had been waiting for charles to finish talking to the fia president to go over some strategy changes for the next few races. he wasn't eavesdropping, he was just listening attentively for any signs of their conversation being over. lewis desperately wanted to go home, but he wanted to finish this and then go home.
as soon as the conversation ended, lewis watched as charles and his girlfriend bid their goodbyes and walked to charles' driver room. lewis jogged to keep up. he was 40. he shouldn't have to jog to keep up now.
just as lewis reached the door, the two had already locked themselves in the room. in hindsight, lewis could have just yelled at them to wait up like a normal person would, but well, maybe he doesn't care about the strategies enough to do it.
he raised his hand to knock when the words from inside the room registered in his brain.
"-such a dick." y/n was saying. who was a dick? a lot of people were dicks, so it didn't exactly narrow down the list for lewis.
charles laughed. his voice was louder. maybe he was standing closer to the door.
"don't laugh! it was so annoying standing there. three different people, including me, mentioned to that fuckass president of yours that i'm a vet and i have a medical degree, and i've made a name for myself! but, no! he kept referring to me as your girlfriend!"
if lewis leaned against the wall to get slightly more comfortable, he definitely didn't. definitely.
"you say as if it's a bad thing he referred to you as my girlfriend! you are my girlfriend, after all." charles said.
"that's not the point, charles. the point is that i'm accomplished in my own ways. i'm y/n y/l/n first, and somebody's something second. him refusing to acknowledge that i'm a doctor, even if it was for animals, was disrespectful."
lewis hoped that charles got his shit together in this conversation.
"i understand that. but, you know that's how he is. we've all told you stories of how he is. he's not going to change." well, lewis agreed that he wasn't going to change, but it still wasn't the argument that charles thought it was.
"that's bullshit, no? he's the president of the fia, and he refuses to acknowledge women as someone other than a secondary person. i mean, how many others has he done this with? we've got professional golfer lily, and a super smart degree in engineering, and we've got kika as a model and studying in fashion design. they're all highly accomplished women."
"mon cheri, i agree with you. i promise i do. but, the president barely treats us drivers as humans. his viewership and his money literally depends on us, and he doesn't have the decency to treat us nicely,"
that was true, lewis had to agree.
it was quiet for a few moments, and then hushed whispers. lewis leaned in closer to the door as he tried to make out the words, but he just couldn't.
"oh, hey lewis!" one of the mechanics said, clapping a hand on his back.
lewis immediately straightened, and made polite conversations. he really wanted to get back to listening to the conversation happening inside.
just as he was done with the conversation, the door opened, and charles greeted them, and the conversation began again.
for fucks sake.
jules
jules was always watching from the sky. he was always watching over his godson. after all, that was the duty of a godfather, wasn't it? to protect the godson when no one else could. to be there for the godson when no one else could. jules had promised charles' father that he would always look after his son, and not even death can stop jules.
he'd watched charles find y/n. he'd watched the way she supported him and helped him grow as a person. he's watched as she made him the happiest man on earth. he'd watched her celebrate every win with him, and comforted him through every loss.
it was safe to say that jules felt the proudest of his godson the day he proposed to y/n. charles was smart to never let her go. charles was smart to make sure that she stayed with him and loved him just like he loved her and wanted to stay with her.
it was the day of charles and y/n's wedding.
jules was there in spirit. he always was.
y/n was a sweetheart. she had saved him a seat, along with charles' father in the front row for charles. jules wasn't sure if she had told charles, but he knew his godson would be so thankful for it.
jules was there in his suit and tie, looking crisp, even if no one could see him. he sat on the seat reserved for him as he waited for the groom to walk down the aisle first.
he saw every person who ever cared about charles sitting there. family, friends, team, ex drivers, current drivers. it made jules smile. so many people loved charles. so many loved y/n as well. to see them all together in one place to celebrate their love was heartwarming.
the music began, and charles walked down the aisle with his groomsmen: pierre, carlos, and bryan. they smile and laugh with him, shaking his shoulders as tear gather in charles' eyes.
jules watched as charles' gaze roam across the mass of people sitting there. he waves slightly at a few. jules watched as charles' gaze finally settled on him. he watched as charles' tears fell at the realisation of what his fiance had done for him.
he watched as charles covered his face, silent sobs escaping him. and then, the music began, and the bride walked down the aisle. everyone stood, including jules.
the bride was smiling wide, a little bounce in her steps as if she couldn't wait to marry his godson. her hand was tucked in her father's elbow, and the other hand held a bouquet of lilies.
jules watched as she stood on the little podium in front of charles, smiling brightly while his tears mixed with his grin. the love in charles' eyes was as beautiful as the aurora borealis in the night sky.
the ceremony began, and they went through the usual process. jules had been to few weddings, though he didn't remember most of them anymore.
when it was time for the vows, charles broke down again as he thanked his bride for saving a spot for his dad and his godfather, that he didn't think of doing something like that despite how much he wanted them to be there on their wedding there. he thanked her and promised to love her forever. he promised to cherish her and always be there for her, and he promised that he would always be at her beck and call, because she was the greatest gift he'd ever gotten.
y/n cried as well. it surprised jules a little bit. maybe he wasn't expecting her to cry as well. but, it was nice to see. to see that their love for each other was so overwhelming that smiles could not contain it.
she said her vows as well. she told him that she knew how much he missed his father and godfather and she wanted to do something small that would make him feel closer to them. she told him how much she loved him and how much she's going to continue loving him. she promised him to be the first one jumping for every win, and be the first hug he needs when he's disappointed. she promised that she would hold onto his hand as long as he held onto her, and she promised to laugh at every joke he said, regardless of how funny or not funny it was.
almost everyone was in tears. jules was too.
when the priest finally said, "you may kiss your bride," the couple did not waste another second. charles' hands cupped her face, as she held onto his wrists, and they kissed for the first time as a married couple.
jules smiled.
he knew pushing y/n towards charles was a good idea.
he knew he'd made the right decision, even from the sky.

i genuinely feel like my writing skills have massively deteriorated. im not even fishing. im just saying. i feel like it takes me one or two tries to get a particular driver right. i don't really pay as much attention to the other drivers as i do with lando, and also that i connect with lando a lot personality wise, so its easier for me to write him. anyways, i hope you like this! im sorry it took me so long to write this one! this is my prompt list, so y'all can select a number, give me a driver and i will write it as soon as possible! i also have a google form for a taglist if anyone's interested! you can sent in your requests here :)

I have a public service announcement! No one's done this lately so it's not aimed at anyone specific—but that's why I'm posting now, so it doesn't single anyone out.
It's true that, in-universe, Bill's said he's apathetic about what gender humans see him as. But you and I aren't in his fictional universe; we're in the real universe.
And out here in our real universe, when someone discovers that a guy they've ONLY ever referred to with he/him pronouns actually has breasts under his shirt? If that person is a conservative, they might start calling this man "she." If that person is more progressive, sometimes they start calling him "they." Like they'll respect that he's trans but refuse to respect that he's transmasc.
And because we live out here in the real world where I'm sick and tired of watching this happen, I'm also sick and tired of watching it happen to characters I write with he/him pronouns. Because multiple times I have had readers—nominally pro-LGBT readers!—start calling a he/him character I write "they/them" the second I headcanon him as transmasc or give him physical traits associated with AFAB bodies, in spite of the pronouns they see me use for him.
You've never seen canon call Bill anything but he/him. You've never seen the guy who invented Bill call him anything but he/him. Except when I write from the perspective of a character who literally DOESN'T KNOW they're looking at Bill, you've never seen ME refer to my specific interpretation of Bill with anything but he/him pronouns.
(And not to get too serious over cartoons, but—if you can't get a character's pronouns right after seeing me use THOUSANDS of he/him pronouns for him—a character whom you were INTRODUCED TO with the correct pronouns and whom you likely ONLY called by the correct pronouns for years, right up until the moment you saw him drawn with tits & hips—if the mere knowledge of his anatomy is enough to completely overwrite every single time you've seen & heard his pronouns used—then I worry about how y'all would talk about an IRL transmasc guy if you could see immediately that he's AFAB and only hear his pronouns once.)
Knowingly using the wrong pronouns doesn't magically become woke when it's gender neutral wrong pronouns. Stop ignoring the only pronouns you've ever seen me or the show call Bill. Do not misgender the silly cartoon triangle in my inbox & comments.
Thank you.
I'm GRUDGINGLY more flexible on calling Bill the wrong name, since I know sometimes y'all need to differentiate whether you're talking to me about the vague concept of canon Bill or, specifically, the copy of Bill undergoing the events in my fic, and using his in-fic "this is the name used by PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW WHO HE IS" nickname is convenient for that.
So, yeah, if you HAVE to, you can call Bill another name. But please know: 1) I dislike that; 2) I'd rather you only do it in contexts where it's necessary for clarity; and 3) even if you're calling him the wrong name out of grammatical necessity, it's still the wrong name.
#(disclaimer: if you've ever they/themmed the he/him and you're worried you're on my hypothetical shitlist or something:)#(i literally don't remember which people did this because my brain throws away usernames like it's junk mail. so you're fine.)#(previously i've tried to deal with this issue by passive aggressively he/himming Bill half a dozen times on asks that call him 'they'—)#(—but i decided. maybe i should communicate with words. by saying what i think. that seems more productive.)#(I've been meaning to make this post for months; but i'm posting several chapters in pacifica's POV where she doesn't know his real name—)#(—followed immediately by several chapters from agent powers's POV where he doesn't know bill's real pronouns; so it's relevant right now.)#(wanted to get this out BEFORE those chapters got into people's brains.)#bill goldilocks cipher#about my writing#reference#my art

There’s just something about Quinn that I know he spoils you with flowers.. he brings them home after early morning practices and if he’s away he sends them to be delivered, he makes sure you don’t go a week without them
Oh, boy, this is 100% it. You don't even ever have to ask or prompt him about flowers unlike men you dated in the past.
The very first date? He arrives with flowers. Every date after that? Flowers. Once you're in a relationship? Like clockwork you always have fresh flowers, he notes when they're getting a little wilted and brings you new ones on his way home from practices or outings and they're always different, always thoughtful.
When he's away? Best believe you're getting fresh flowers, sometimes he's overzealous and you end up with too many because the older one's are still going strong, but that's okay.
You literally will never go without flowers and if you hate the idea of fresh flowers? Best believe it's something else that you're getting whether it's a new lego flower set or a new candle whenever the old one is on it's last legs.
One time you ask him about the flowers as if he shouldn't be doing it and he looks at you like you're crazy because of course he's getting the person he loves fresh flowers??? Like who do you think he is??? He can more than afford it and he knows you like getting them so why would he not?
If he finds out that no man has ever bought you flowers before? Best believe he is horrified and makes sure that the bouquets are extra good because he's making up for all the losers who failed to get you flowers.
But, he also brings his mum flowers whenever the two of you go to visit his mum and dad and that's how you really start to appreciate that it's not that he's doing it because he feels he has to, he's doing it because Quinn is just like that and special people, special women, in his life get flowers. Duh.
Also any flowers when he's away always come with some sweet little note that you save because even with text, phone calls and face time, you miss him when he's not around and even a simple little note is enough to make you teary.

HEYAAA
js wanted to A. request and B. say that YOURE AN ABSOLUTE MACHINEEE (lovingly) thank you for feeding us sm 🫡 anyway pls pls head-canons on each of the club member's ideal type n some sprinkles on things that secretly make them fold pretty pleaaseee
the club members types & what makes them fold.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ contents. suggestive content. fluff?
a/n: thank you so much! and thank you for the request, anon! i hope you enjoy! these are all MY headcanons, please don't find offense or anything of the sort.
bill dickey's ideal type would be softer women. he'd prefer a softer face and big doe-ish eyes with soft lips and softer hands. i think bill would be into fat women but only because he believes they're all insecure and that they'd be easiest to manipulate. anyways ; style-wise i think his ideal type would be a girl who dresses hyper-feminine. whether it be the trashy y2k bling look or the soft coquette, if it exudes femininity that's ideal for him. he'd want his partner to not wear perfumes or anything scented. he really loves the natural scent of people. personality wise i think bill would like mean people. not mean to him, no he's too sensitive for that. but just the most hater, miserable people like him. his ideal type in personality would be a "what should i tell him next?" "tell him to go kill himself!" "oh yes!" dynamic.
as for what would make bill fold...sex. yeah. pull up your shirt, your skirt, make a dirty hand gesture and anything and everything on his mind will fly out of the window. though that wouldn't be much of a secret. a more secret thing that makes bill fold constantly would be you simply smiling at him in search of approval.
josh levy's ideal type would be older but shorter women. physically i'd like to think he loves nice smiles and big, textured/curly hair. round asses, yeah. as for style, i think josh would really love it when a woman dresses boyish and or masculine-oriented. cargo shorts, baggy clothes, boxers - just think of a masc or butch, that'd be his ideal type fashion and style wise. as for personality he'd want someone kind and soft-spoken. so loud and volatile i think a part of him is as scared of kindness from women as he much as he craves it. he'd want a kind and sweet type because it's the opposite of him. think of an older, unapproachable girl who's really a total sweetheart and very kind. that's his ideal type.
he'd fold at anything. no, i'm not kidding. but bonus points if you touch his face or hands when trying to get him to fold, it'll make him a puddle.
pete dinunzio's ideal type would be anyone with a nice rack. i genuinely do not think he'd give a fuck about anything except how nice someone's tits are. has a thing for crooked teeth though, gaps, snaggle teeth, overbites, etcetc don't ask me why, no clue. fashion-wise i think he'd like any trashy or maximalist look. the more he has to take off of you the better. scene kids, trad goths, gyaru's, tanned bimbos, emos, etcetc. personality wise his ideal type with be someone who hates all men. it's an insecurity thing, he wants to be special by being the only man you can tolerate. definitely would want some really smart and intelligent, as in smarter than anyone's he's met. surprisingly, i don't think he's a big fan of piercings or tattoos. reasoning for that is mine to headcanon and mine alone.
he'd also fold under any attempt of sex. the tried and true thing is nasty, freaky, dangerous sex to make him do whatever you want and or to win any argument.
jerry stokes's ideal type would be funny and uniquely attractive women. he'd like aquiline noses, broad noses, freckled faces, scarred skin, if something is rare or "atypical" he'd love it. i think he has a big thing for dyed or funky hair in any capacity, favors blue hair out of every other color. i don't think he even necessarily has an ideal type, just things he'd prefer to see when looking at his partner. now, style-wise - alternative, we know this. but he wouldn't want outlandish or messy fashion to view. grunge, romantic goth, unlabelled - his ideal type wouldn't be someone it'd be difficult to hug or spontaneously undress if that makes it easier to envision. personality wise, jerry's ideal type would just be someone intelligent and funny. he wants to laugh, he'd want to laugh and also be able to engage with you in what he wants.
jerry would fold with anything. end of story!

Thinking about trans and gender related surveys (that as long as they're not like, from transphobes, I love to take because survey!!!)
But then how almost every single one has "what sex/gender were you assigned at birth" and the answers are "male", "female", and "intersex" and if you're lucky, "other".
There are ones that don't actually dig into or study intersexism in any way that even ask, "if you're intersex, were you assigned male or female at birth", and when the (always perisex) people who created the survey are asked about it, invariably the answer is something like "oh well, the gender/sex you were assigned at birth has an impact on the life you've lived and discrimination you've faced so I thought it was more important than actually asking you about the life you've lived and discrimination you've faced". Like hun, no....
If there is an "other" option, especially on a trans-focused survey, I just put "I will not disclose the agab/asab that was used to erase my intersex identity" down or similar. Like ah yes, let me just give you the label that's been used to force social and medical violence on me for decades so you can pretend to know what I have and have experienced... ha! No.
When will people learn that if you want to know about someone's experiences, you have to ask them about their experiences? It's so simple, but so many people just don't seem to get it!
And while the "were you assigned male female or intersex" ones reek of ignorance, given that the vast majority of intersex people WERE assigned female or male INACCURATELY (and therefore it perpetuates erasure to force people to choose between what was assigned as a form of violence and what they are", I almost hate the ones that force intersex people to disclose the agab/asab that's been weaponized against them more. ESPECIALLY when the survey creator then smugly explains to the multiple intersex people upset about it, "well, it 'tells' me what you've been through" (so I don't have to bother to ask or learn and can just assume)
Like, to my awareness I did not have surgery as an infant, though given my birth and pre-adoption history I have very little way of knowing for sure. I WAS however coerced onto a hormone based "treatment" when the first signs of my sex characteristics changing popped up, which also made my dysphoria significantly worse when I was already suicidal due to being abused. And then I've been told I'm basically [agab] and not "really" intersex (despite the vast majority of the intersex community saying my variation IS) by a lot of the trans community especially.
I mean, what it really boils down to is people asking "but are you male or female intersex". Often to determine whether I'm "boy or girl nonbinary", even.
Like no actually. Knowing my agab tells you nothing about my sex characteristics, socialization, puberty, discrimination and oppression I've faced, and so on. That's the whole point intersex people have been exhaustively trying to make!
I'm not giving you my CAGAB when every time I have before it's been used against me by the very same people that demanded it
Just. GAH.
thank you for taking the time to send this, i really appreciate you making your story heard. i am so sorry you've gone through all of this. it can be such a gauntlet to be a queer intersex person. there's so much behavior and common rhetoric that hurts us because so many people are obsessed with figuring out what genitals a stranger has. the fact that people literally lump nonbinary into girl nonbinary and boy nonbinary.
people do not realize how obsessively binarist & gender essentialist they have being. but it's constant. you shouldn't have to disclose your assigned sex at birth. you shouldn't have to disclose your genitals at all. other queer people shouldn't be dying to know what genitals you have and have had.

tech reviews from ray toro on mychemicalromance.com 2009
"Jailbreak your shit.
Bob, I feel your iPhone pain. Ever since my iPhone threw itself into the toilet, it hasn't been the same. Missed calls, no service, crap battery life, the list of muck-ups goes on.
I've been wanting to go to the Apple store to try and exchange my suicidal phone, but knew i'd be greeted by the same smugness and uppity attitude you dealt with. Every time I step foot in that store, I feel like they're doing me a favor selling me their plain aluminum products and their white earbuds. I think I bought a pair of earbuds, and inside the package was an extra pair of them crap buds.
Angry at the lack of basic functions on the iPhone, and wanted to stick it back to the man, so I did the only thing a sane man would do...I jailbroke the thing.
For those who don't know what this is, basically you're "freeing" your phone from Jobs' shackles. Now I can copy and paste, personalize the theme on my phone, record movies, answer texts without constantly having to switch programs, search my emails, run programs in the background, send pictures in texts, quickly change settings without going through a million menus, play NES games, save Youtube videos, the list goes on. The crowning jewel is when I used my cell connection on the phone to download an e-book before a flight.
This shit is fun, and now I feel the iPhone lives up to it's pricetag. Do a search for quickpwn to get started, install winterboard, backgrounder, pdanet, sbssettings, and whatever else catches your eye. Most of all, enjoy your new found freedom."
"Ray's favorite iPhone apps
Whether you're a Blackberry man or iPhone (wo)man, you gotta admit the App store is pretty rad. I've been using the iPhone for a good while now, and have come to rely on a few apps that make my daily life easier, keep me busy while driving (yeah I know its illegal, sue me), and suck up any remaining free time I might have left in a day. Here's a short list of stuff you should check out if you're so inclined...
1. Pocketmoney ($9.99) Not only does the app's icon make me think of delicious pork bacon, it also helps to keep your money straight. You can set up checking and savings account, and keep a running ledger of your spending so you don't have any more of those all-too familiar, embarrassing moments where you're trying to buy a bag of cheetos and a Quik but don't have any loot left on your card. Yeah, I know what you're probably thinking right now. "I have a perfectly good paper register the bank gave me when I signed up for my checking account, and that shit cost me $0.00." To that I say, "But your register doesn't have a sick ass pig icon!"
2. NetNewsWire (The world is going to end soon FREE as fuck!) This program is great! You know when you're having an important conversation with your wife about what you're making for dinner that week, and she's trying to write out a shopping list, and all you can think about is the latest post on Gizmodo detailing what GHZ the new intel iCore7 processor tops out at after overclocking with Nitroglycerin? Yeah, that happens to me too...Well now instead of just thinking about it, you can take out your iPhone in mid-conversation, pissing off your wife in the process, and read all the latest RSS feeds that you can stand. It even works for our site too! Huzzah!
3. Super Monkey Ball (I paid $9.99 for this??? I'm a sucker) Ok, I bought this because it was the #1 app for weeks straight. It had to be good right??? RIGHT? Well its not. I mean it has good graphics, but the controls suck. They really, really suck. Driving your dad's Nova after ingesting 10 beers at the college kegger, trying to balance a tall glass of Sunny D on your head while headbanging to Stone Cold Crazy is exponentially easier than controlling this mess. After maybe 5 tries playing the game proper, I decided it'd be much more fun to send Baby and Gongon repeatedly and utterly to their death. I hate this game. But it sure is a great time waster...
And there you have it. Three essential iPhone apps! Have fun, be safe, and Happy Thanksgiving!"

DP+HEADCANONS
I was browsing through some posts when I found this picrew and thought "Hey, I really like Vall's DC headcanons (or at least Batfamily's), so why don't I make a Danny Phantom headcanons post to match?"
So here we are.
To begin with, let's establish the Everlasting Trio because there's no way, very iconic and wonderful together, and a pinch of Ghost King/Prince Danny.
With this, I like to think that, cuz they're always so close to Danny, before and after the right to the throne, Sam and Tucker, being exposed to the strooong ectoplasm he emits, would become even more liminal than the others Amity Parkers, this with the help of Tucker being the reincarnation of Duulaman and Sam being the heir to Undergrowth (I feel disgusted every time I remember what he did to her in the episode, cuz, personal trauma, so I refuse to accept this canon and that's why in my head he was actually pampering her the whole time to be able to convince her to be his daughter).
Because of this liminality and Danny's strong ectoplasm, they would develop powers and/or the powers they kind of already have of their own would become stronger.
I like to think that with this their appearance would change a little, Danny by the power of Ghost King/Prince and Sam and Tucker by liminality, just some subtle changes but they are noticeable, like for example, pointy ears! (I love the "Danny the elf" thing and yes, I'm going to drag Sam and Tucker into this, nothing will stop me! Except Vall definitely maybe- BUT- but, he likes it too so it's okay).
So, like, I don't think it will change much whether the DP and DC universes are the same or not in your view, but they could be considered metas or aliens or magical creatures(?) to someone outside, it depends a lot on their aura I think.
And you know, as much as I may love the concept of Jack and Maddie "giving up" on their obsession for their son, their beloved child and becoming/triyng to be better parents, I'm kind of corrupted already, you know?
The bad reveal is a classic in this fandom already and sometimes I even find myself like " 🤡🤨😒" when I go to read a fic and it has the tag "Good Reveal" or "Good Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton" which is honestly kinda VERY CONCERNING if you think about it-
But anyway, if there is revelation, it's bad, very bad, vivissection and all.
Also as much as I like a redeemed Vlad, I also like to see him have all the shit he put Danny through come back to him. You know, IT IS CALLED KARMA, YOU BITCH!
Ahem ahem, pardon :)
But for Dan case, oh my boy, I want him to have redemption, I want him to cling to this little drop of a person that is Dani and to do therapy with Jazz. Besides the sparrings with Danny, obviously.
Coming back now, where am I going with this? Bad Revelation, Revenge on Vlad and Dan redeemed? Of course it's the crossover part!
Anyway, then, a mentally exhausted Danny from school fights Vlad, but thanks to the new strength that comes with the right to the ghost throne and Sam and Tucker's new powers (Which I think everyone agrees that for Sam it's like Poison Ivy-style power but to a greater degree not only affecting plants but animals as well, and for Tucker being powers based on those Pharaoh and mummies stuff and such and the classic technokinesis!) he FINALLY manages to trap Vlad in the Thermos, Tucker quickly seals this blessed Thermo in the base of welding and then Danny throws it in Walker's prison.
And then, now tired mentally and physically, he goes home, but oops! he didn't pay attention because of tiredness and got caught in the middle of transformation! And then the basic chase before he is captured and imprisoned in the lab.
But gosh, just his torture (which lasts a long time because Jazz is out busy with... eh, I don't know, and Sam and Tucker are worried and looking, but they are a little far away) wasn't enough, they caught Dani, and he started to despair, because there's no way he's going to let dad and mom Jack and Maddie touch his daughter little sister, but he can't move, can't do anything, and then they catch Dan, and Danny still can't do anything to help them, trying to draw attention to himself doesn't work (Hehe classic angst my dears).
Dani and Dan are so badly hurt by the Fenton doctors that they retreat into the cores, but since the cores are practically indestructible, and the Fentons have never even come close to studying one, their weapons don't work and don't hurt them. So the attendant is back with Danny.
But then Jazz, Tucker and Sam break into the lab to rescue the three Dannies, barely getting out while Jazz stays to slow them down. Some time ago, they managed to close the portal that was in the Fentons' basement and prevent it from working again, so Sam and Tucker have to race with the Dannies to Vlad's portal (I don't remember exactly what happened when he became president of Amity Park, but I'm going to say that he moved the portal to the city with him for pure plot convenience) but when they are about to go through, the doctors arrive, and then there is a small conflict until Jazz manages to push the trio into the portal and destroys it, but in an inadequate way, thus also destroying their home dimension (Yey more angst)
Sam and Tucker then go to CW to seek help. He cures Danny, or at least about 60% because he says he needs to cure the rest himself for his own good, and that unfortunately Dani and Dan won't be able to leave their cores anytime soon if they aren't incubated. So, stop! Danny is pregnant and then CW puts them in the DC universe, it can be in Gotham or anywhere else they want, it doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is that now they will live there together.
And that's where that Picrew I mentioned comes in, since I made the appearances of the Everlasting Trio+Twins Dani and Dan+Surprise for an AU like this.
For me, they arrived in Gotham right around the time Bruce was starting to come out as Batman or when Jason was Robin, I can't decide. But anyway, the fact is, they are in a new universe with Danny at his literal 60% carrying two cores with him, so when they discover more about this world a little with their powers, they decide to be discreet, and even with that, they also let themselves be registered as metahumans to avoid problems if they use their powers, but of course in the records the written powers are much simpler and weaker than the real thing.
Anyway, I think they would all work at WE but in different sectors (obviously), or have independent or simple businesses or something like that.
Now let's move on to appearances!
first of all, Daniel James Shade "Danny" Fenton Nightgale
Here as you can see, Danny has a lighter eye because of the incident, if there was an option for a lightning scar in the picrew I would also put it, this lighter eye of his only has about 75% of the vision.
You have to wear a single lens in that eye, he may not wear it, but it is inconvenient most of the time.
His hair is longer, and yes, I gave him the anime dead mom hairstyle, sue me. His hair used to be black, but over time, because of his great power, and the fact that his ghostly side is bleeding into his human form, his hair has turned about 70 to 80% white. Sam and Tucker like it, Sam says it's cool and Tucker says he remembers some anime character but can't remember who (😉)
The necklace and earring are a set he has with Sam and Tucker.
Piercing just because.
Makeup done by Sam, but is learning.
He also renounces his birth middle and surname, changing them as soon as he could. He only doesn't change his name because he got used to it (of course he did) and cause he learned from Jazz that she was the one who suggested his name.
Nightgale is a name that the Trio invented together and use, so as not to get too big with the three two surnames together.
He is called "Mama" by the children. And "D" and "Darling" by Sam and Tucker.
He/them
Samantha Ingrid "Sam" Nightgale
As I said, necklace and earrings are a set.
Piercing just because.
She dyed her hair completely purple, but after a while the liminal side of her powers also bled into her form, so now there's green in it, Danny likes it and says it's pretty, Tucker likes it too, but he also calls her eggplantie cuz of it tho-
And as always, she is gothic, and now, she does makeup for others with the help of [surprise, wait a little longer]
She is called "Mom" by the children. And "Sammy" and "Honey" by Tucker and Danny.
She/her
Tucker Rick "Tuk" Nightgale
Braided and colored hair, Sam did the braids and Danny helped pick the color.
Piercing just because.
Again, the necklace and the earrings are a set.
I made up the middle name because I couldn't find it anywhere.
Now he wears lenses more regularly than glasses.
Makeup done with Sam's help, he knows how to do it himself but normally when he makes lines like that he can't replicate them, but Sam can.
He is called "Dad" by the children. And "Tuk" and "Babe" by Sam and Danny.
He/him
Dante Ruth "Dan" Nightgale
Because he was incubated by Danny, he was born with white hair.
He has no memories of before, but he vaguely has some deja vus, his personality remains practically 98% the same.
He is quite influenced by Sam, that's why he dyed his hair her colors.
Piercing just because.
He still has a clear eye with 75% vision because it is a mark on his and Danny's core from the incident.
He helps Sam with the makeup with [surprise, wait just a little longer]
Glasses because you don't really like the idea of using a single lens on your eye, so you prefer glasses with two lenses of different degrees, it's more comfortable.
He is called "Dan", "Dandan" and "Dear". And also "Big brother" and "Bro".
He/him
Eleanor Dawn "Ellie" Nightgale
No problem with the eye because was born a halfa even though she was a clone cuz she didn't had to die and revive to, so there is no mark on the core.
Born with white hair because she was incubated by Danny.
Like Dan, he has no exact memories of the past, just deja vus, and his personality has remained largely intact.
He is more influenced by Tucker, so he dyed his hair his color.
Piercing just because.
They wears sunglasses almost all the time, even at night, because 1) she likes them, 2) he feels cool, 3) they wanna have something in common with Dante.
Makeup done by Dan.
When it's "she" she goes by the nickname "Ellie", when it's "he or they" he goes by the nicknames "Dawn" and "Noir", Dawn more commonly, but Noir is when he's with Dan, so as not to confuse the two. But she is also nicknamed "Little sister", "Big sister" and "Sis". And "Muffin".
She/him/they
And finally....THE SURPRISE!
Jordan Ezra Mary "Ez" Nightgale
They was born from Sam, and just biologically speaking, the father is Tucker.
But
They are more influenced by Danny :)
Heterochromia because I want.
There's no way he could remember before since she didn't even exist, but she likes the stories of her dad, mom and mama's chaotic adolescence.
Piercing just because.
They dyed their hair pink because they really likes the color very much.
Glasses because they inherited the short-sighted from Tucker and doesn't like contact lenses very much.
Do the makeup with Sam and Dan to the others.
She is called "Ez" and "Ezzie", and also "Little Sister" and "Sis". And "Sweetheart".
They/her
And that's it! I chose for the Trio to arrive between Batman's first year and Robin's time! Jason so that the children would already be born when Damian's time as Robin arrived cuz of shenanigans. :D
Like, just imagine if Ezra becomes friends with Damian, to the point of knowing about his family's night business, or already knows. And then some typical problem happened with a being from another dimension and when Dami vents to them, Ez is like "Oh my daddy can help you!"
And instead of them bringing a sorcerer or warlock or wizard like everyone thought it would be, Ezra brings the FUCKING DAMN HIGH KING OF THE INFINITE REALMS.
@valletydarwin here, a gift, ya can name the AU 🖤💜

The Geth
My favorite race from Mass Effect by far are the Geth (although I think this should be obvious from the huge amount of lore analyses I wrote about the Geth in general and Legion specifically ^^') - as many people already said, they are extremely interesting because of how unique they are, not only among the other Mass Effect races, but among robots in sci-fi in general.
However, my own love for the Geth goes down to a much deeper level - strange as that may sound, they resonate so much with me because I personally identify with them. Strive for understanding, valuing perspectives, and acceptance of differences are principles that are extremely important to me; at the same time, while I want to communicate with other people, what often hampers my desire to is 1) uncertainty of how to go about it (because autism) and 2) fear of being betrayed, rejected, or disappointed (because of past experiences).
I can see so much of myself in Legion and the Geth - my wishes, my dreams, everything I've ever longed for, but also my flaws and shortcomings.
The Geth's relationship to the Quarians is also very interesting. It may not be very overt, but there's definitely a lot more to it than you would expect from "logical thinking" machines. I'm not sure if I would go so far as to call it "emotions", but the Geth definitely have their own desires that grew from their personal development. (I did want to do an extra analysis about this too, at some point.)
On that note, the Heretics are extremely interesting - they may seem like your standard "all organics must die" robots at the first glance, but after taking a closer look at them, they seem more like realists that got disillusioned because their ideals of peace proved to be impossible.
Idk if this is a bit of a stretch, but I cannot shake the feeling that the Geth's story is, in essence, centered around the notion of being abandoned by god. The Quarians, their "gods", literally told them "we do not love you, and you're nothing more than a tool to us", and being confronted with this reality, they're desperately trying to move on from them and find their own way. Still, they cannot fully sever the attachment that they have to the Quarians - the Heretics may have even taken to revering Sovereign as a gesture to abjure their own "loveless gods". (The irony being, of course, that Sovereign doesn't hold any more love to them; actually, it's interesting how many "loveless gods" Mass Effect has, since you can not only apply this to the Geth -> Quarians and the Heretics -> Sovereign, but also to the other galactic races -> the Protheans.) I can relate very well to this situation of being "left alone", too, as well as how hard it is to find your own path.
Legion's individuality is a difficult topic; I will say that there are some hints that the devs planned for Legion to develop individuality early on, although whether this was Chris L'Etoile's idea or someone else's is difficult to say.
I personally prefer using they/them pronouns for Legion out of respect for their gestalt nature, but I'm totally fine with people calling Legion he/him, too. (As for Legion themselves, I feel like they'd probably be pretty neutral about it.)
That being said, on a personal level, whether Legion is an individual or not doesn't matter all that much too me - I fully accept them as a collective consciousness, but if they're developing individuality, who am I to forbid them? I don't "need" Legion to be either for me, and I'll love them all the same.
The Morning War
Naturally, since the Geth are my "special interest", I have always been curious about the Morning War - the thing is, while we know how it started and what the result of it was, the overall course of it is very hazy. (Unfortunately, this has led some people to very biased conclusions about it, to say the least.)
Although it may not have started in the most... pleasant way (essentially, I wanted to prove that it's possible to interpret the war in a way that doesn't absolve the Geth of killing 99% of the Quarian population and still keeps the plot about Quarian rebels fighting alongside the Geth as canon), the Morning War is a puzzle that I've started to really enjoy figuring out, so much so that I developed an entire fanfiction concept around it, complete with OCs. xD
In any fandom, I always tend to be intrigued most by the parts of the lore that are there, but that I can't see, and I love filling these gaps with my own imagination. Plus, I kinda have a thing for morally complex war dramas. xD
Pre-Morning War Quarian culture
This sort of happened as a "side effect" of my interest in the Morning War, but everything related to Pre-Morning War Quarian society and culture absolutely fascinates me. How does it differ from Migrant Fleet-era culture? What traces of it remain? How did it evolve with the Quarians' exile and them exclusively living in spaceships? (I'm super interested in how real-life cultures evolve and change with different influences, so this largely comes from my general passion for history. ^^)
Given the Geth and their ancestor VI databanks, the Quarians must've had impressive technology, so what was that like? The introduction of the Geth must've had a huge impact on Quarian economy and society, so what did daily life look like for them? Were there people who were disadvantaged due to these technological advancements? What were the philosophical takes on the Geth and the ancestor VIs? Were the Quarians really trying to secretly (and illegally) create true AIs of their ancestors, as it's implied by the Codex? They couldn't have kept this a secret from the Citadel Council forever, so how were they planning to deal with the consequences? What were the Quarians' relationships and interactions with other species like? And was their "utopia" really just a golden veneer, with lots of ugliness behind it?
I love thinking about this stuff, and it's very much going to feature in the fanfic that I'm developing as well. ;-)
The AIs
One thing I think is really interesting about the AIs in general - which goes for both EDI and the Geth - is that you can clearly tell how much they take after their creator species: EDI relies a lot on Shepard's guidance throughout ME3 and very actively inquires about human behavior, eventually adopting human ideals - such as humanity and individuality - as her own. As for the Geth, I did an analysis before where I talked about how many similarities they share with the Quarians, if you look closely.
Ironically though, this difference also limits Legion and EDI's understanding of each other. While they are very supportive of each other (both of them are AIs, after all), you can tell that Legion has trouble understanding EDI's perspective and her decisions. Similarly, there are instances of EDI severely misunderstanding the Geth in ME3, saying that consensus is "enforced" among the Geth, which is just... factually not true. (The very essence of the consensus is that the Geth won't make a decision unless every program agrees to it.) At one point, she even postulates that the Geth turned on the Quarians because "they didn't make them enough like them", since AIs with individuality develop stronger preferences/attachments to their creator species. (First off, for reasons cited above, I think this claim is wrong, and second, wouldn't "stronger preferences" potentially result in AIs being racist against species other than their creators?)
While I don't agree with EDI's assessment, all of this wonderfully shows how every sentient AI will not only inherit the morals and values of its creator species, but also their flaws and biases. EDI is an AI made by humans, so of course she would place greater value on individuality - naturally, this standpoint also influences her judgments.
My personal takeaway from this is that you have to be mindful of what you teach your AIs (which very much goes for real-life AIs as well) - if you teach an AI to lie and cheat, you can be sure that no good things will come of it if it ever gains sentience.
The Reapers
Seeing the reblogs, I also want to join @average-mako-enjoyer in saying that I'm actually quite fascinated by the Reapers' way of thinking/their worldview.
I have my own headcanons on them that slightly verge on AU territory, but I like to imagine that their role is to keep the galaxy, as a system, from clogging. In that, their function is similar to that of a virus in biological systems: Viruses sort of work like nature's "population control" when a species grows too much in numbers, and as such, they actually restore balance to the ecosystem.
However, in advanced civilizations, these "natural regulations" basically get deactivated - as a rule, nature is not too fond of monocultures (which is why they are so prone to diseases), and if you look at history, all great empires have a tendency to eventually fall. If you take this concept and apply it on a galactic level - that the dominance of singular advanced species will eventually result in a catastrophic system collapse - the Reapers might actually act as the "housekeepers" of the galaxy, restoring balance to the system as a whole by taking advanced races "out of the game" and giving others a chance to grow (or at least they see themselves that way).
In contrast to a normal virus, however, the harvested species technically remain alive - they just get "elevated" to a different level, so the Reapers' strategy is essentially "lossless" (which the Reapers are probably pretty proud of, I reckon).
I always wanted to write a more in-depth post about this (since it also plays into my concept of an "extended Refuse ending"), but haven't gotten around to it so far. ^^'
Lore topics I enjoy thinking about for Mass Effect Trilogy Week:
Biotics: I remember countless conversations about biotics that made me look at the wiki to check my information, replay parts of the game and in general pay attention to how it all works out. I still think there are many things about them that I don't understand right now, and that's why I love it. It makes you think! Each species will deal with it in a different way too, they have their own history with their biotics and how they use them. For humans, L2 biotics like Kaidan are always a source of wonder to me. Sure, you can picture a badass biotic like Aria and 100% she showed extreme power during the Omega DLC so that's really fascinating to me as well, but to have those implants and to be able to master Reave?! I also think the lore is not... as solid as it could be regarding how each species treats their biotics. It sometimes feels like a bit of a X-Men situation (they're different, others fear them, possible medical issues...) but it's like the writers don't want to deal with the full implications. And I really wish we could have seen a bit more artistic/cultural displays of biotics. Btw, my biotic sports headcanons are here
Lifespan: I love that each species has a different lifespan and that it really shows in how they live their lives. An asari will not look at their youth like a salarian. Honestly, I'm mad at myself because someone wrote about this in the tag and made a good commentary on it and I can't find the post again. It was about how salarians process thoughts and feelings compared to other species. I hope I can find it soon, and if so I'll reblog it. It's always a fascinating topic!
Artificial intelligence: Geth, EDI and other AIs like SAM are what I mean here. I really do think the topic of designing your own platform should come out more in this universe. I've said it a billion times before but I really want EDI to design her own platform. And I really have no answer, but I have found that all the meta about Legion was always thought-provoking. Was does individuality mean? Does Legion need individuality? Does he need to say "I" or was he better as a collective, as something "other" that was just fine as it was, but we humans just find more meaning in him becoming an individual? Even the words I use here, I'm fully aware I use "he" all the time when refering to Legion, and sometimes I wonder if that's good or not. I don't know.
Justice system: I've made one big post about it (9 years ago haha), but I really find the Spectres fascinating, as well as each species' version of judges/soldiers/spies/agents/workers etc. And prisons.
The trade language: EVERYWHERE in the game and we have so little information compared to the Quarian's language???
And my favorite lore: everything related to the krogan. I really think it ties to what Bakara says about being her Shaman's initiation being a brutal one "But an illuminating one. You learn to appreciate the light by living in the dark." I love that their species not because they're perfect but because they're imperfect in a way that speaks to me. They understand despair, the deepest kind. They understand anger. And they're constantly underestimated. But I find a lot of beauty, joy and humor in them. I also love that they're rarely lying or playing games, they will tell you the honest truth and you either take it or leave it.
Will be happy to know your favorite parts of the lore!!!
#mass effect#trilogyweek2025#(yeah I'm late I know)#(and of course I got all philosophical again xD)#mass effect lore#geth#mass effect legion#quarians#artificial intelligence#EDI#mass effect reapers#EDI designing her own platform is a VERY COOL concept though 👍

sometimes I wonder what's with stans being overprotective to stolitz as catradora stans, are they victims of abuse scared of finding out they're in abusive relationship out of trauma without realising? Are they abusers scared of being called out? Are they teenagers who grew up with SPOP and were taught wrong lessons about relationships and they don't know how things works? Are they incels who loves the show and the ship and see stolas as themselves (since stolas gives me huge incel energy) because they hate women and types of "grrr I hate women! Femboys are much more easier because they love being controlled!" (No hate towards Femboys i just hate people who fetishizing them and see them as "better women") ? Are they people who are too starved for gay representation to the point they don't care if it's abusive and problematic?
Personally, I feel like part of the reason stans are so overprotective to Stoliz is mostly because of Vivziepop and her hyping and enabling them (whether it at cons or on Twitter, etc).
And another reason why I feel they are overprotective has to do with Stoliz being their beloved favorite ship and mix of them craving lgbtq representation.
I’m sure on Tumblr you can easily find Stoliz stans talking about critics/antis vaguely and saying how dumb they are for misunderstanding their favorite precious ship.
Most or at least half of the fandom/standom are minors who just don’t know better. Sooner or later they will grow out of the ship and realize how creepy it is in a few years.
And other percent of the fandom who are adults stans are just very passionate about the ship. Some of them sometimes go too far and even at times ignore the problems regarding Stoliz. It’s kind of impressive how far people will go for “toxic yaoi.” But that’s just my personal opinion.

My Headcanons with 100yq
Let me start by saying I love fairy tail. It was my first shounen anime that I sought out on my own. (One piece, Naruto, and Bleach just came on when I was little and watching toonami). It is, to this day, one of my favorite shows of all time with Lucy Heartfilia being one of my favorite characters of all time.
So, on to the headcanons.
Lucy and Natsu have an undefined relationship. They call each other their partner and let people take it how they will because they don't even know. Their relationship is so much more than being in love or working together. They would die for the other and pull the other back from the brink of insanity. How can you label that? They have a blind trust in the other and that's all that matters.
Wendy has received some lasting effects from being trapped for 7 years and that's why it appears she hasn't grown much despite being the age for multiple growth spurts to have hit. Her body being in hibernation for so long has left her stunted almost. She's the only one who is was a young child when it happened and is the only one who looks relatively the same after all that time.
It also doesn't help now that she has the power of Irene in her body now as well. That much power isn't helping her at all either. Most of her energy goes to keeping her power in check, not allowing her to grow much.
Erza has almost somewhat dedicated Lucy to be her "right-hand man" while she leads the group. Yeah, it's technically Team Natsu, but Erza and Lucy are the ones who do a majority of the work that isn't fighting. Erza is in charge of the group as a whole, ensuring that everyone is safe, healthy, and on track. Lucy is in charge of the map, finances, and helping with other information.
Natsu and Gray are the weather regulators. If they go somewhere that's too hot, Gray takes over. If they go somewhere too cold, Natsu takes over. That's their main job aside from getting food when they aren't nearby any towns.
I personally believe that they all have some sort of chronic pain or lingering injuries from their fights in the past.
Erza tends to hurt just about all over, but mainly gets head aches due to her eye strain and all the concussions she's sustained.
Natsu doesn't usually hurt too badly, but his scars always bother him whether they're itchy, throbbing, or something. His problem usually lies with his heart. Having died multiple times tends to fuck it up.
Gray has a similar issue with his scar. He also tends to feel very tight in his muscles due to how cold his natural body temp is after learning devil slayer magic so it takes him awhile to get out of bed in the morning. (He loved when the town was underwater because he could easily climb out of bed with no problem)
Wendy usually deals with sore muscles and an odd tingling in her hands and feet. They concluded that it's nerve damage from the Face she and Carla took care of.
Lucy gets random hot flashes from rewriting the book. She also still has scars from it, but they're super faint. You really only see them when she's standing in the sunlight. She also just has really bad knees and ankles but absolutely refuses to wear any shoe without a heel.
Gray and Natsu get under stimulated a lot when they're just travelling, so they make it a point to spar whenever they have a moment. It usually ends with them both getting scolded for going a bit too far.
Lucy still has her little quirk of wanting to collect more keys so anytime they travel somewhere, her first thing to do is find a magic shop and see if they have any. Most of the time she can't. A lot of shop masters tend to say that after the Grand Magic Games, celestial wizards started sprouting up out of nowhere, eager to learn more.
I want to believe that Wendy told Erza about Irene. Wendy felt a lot of guilt keeping it from her so after about a week that they first set out, she told Erza. Erza was more worried about what it meant for Wendy than anything cause wtf my mom that died is living in my basically little sister. It took Wendy a while to explain that it wasn't actually Irene, just her power.
Gray tends to space out whenever they're resting. No one really knows where his mind goes most of the time, but occasionally, he'll get the smallest smile and they'll know it's Juvia he's thinking about.
And for just a bit of Nalu angst, Natsu had a hard time looking at Lucy for a while. He knows Lucy takes a lot of pride in her looks so now that she has scars all over her body, he blames himself for them. She told him multiple times that they don't bother her and she takes a lot of pride in them herself. The scars are proof that she saved Natsu and that's all that matters for her. They slowly started to fade so now, he struggles to watch her stand in the sun. Lucy knows this and tends to make him look at her so he knows it's okay.

do we. do we think scott not only trusted theo because it's a large part of who he is but also because it's something everybody else isn't. thinking of stiles' "because you trust everyone!" in season 5 + scott's "nobody trusts anyone, that's the problem!" in season 2. for so long he'd been the only one to spearhead good faith approaches and de-escalation. just him, a high school kid, while everyone else, his fellow classmates and friends as well as the adults were either acting in bad faith or choosing to follow his lead whether they're skeptical or more open like him. there are other characters who are more humanitarian and optimistic like that, but few who are so active in going out of their way to fight for it on their own convictions until we meet mason in season 5. scott puts his best foot forward with everybody he meets because he honestly just wants to help and his life and everybody in it suddenly has too many problems to count, friend or enemy or otherwise. even jackson, one of the people he's most openly antagonistic towards, he's willing to fight to preserve the life and wellbeing of. this is a part of who scott is, and he can't wait around for anyone else to just decide to give a shit because lives are on the line. that said, he's incredibly willing to ask for help in his idealistic endeavors, he just often asks all these people who have hurt and/or tried to kill him first. because those are most of the people both within reach and powerful enough to help! being helpful is this tunnel-vision for scott and not many characters can match his dedication to it.
and then theo arrives! not just an old friend, but a werwolf, and an omega at that, who just came to join his pack. this isn't the first time that's happened, but it's the first time anybody has gone out of their way to help not just scott but people who need it. theo doesn't need to get roped into beacon hills' messes, scott's messes, that he often apologizes for needing help to clean up, and theo appears to just. want to help. not unconditionally even if scott buys his desire to join the pack, but that's not an overtly selfish desire. theo shows up and asks how can i help and i don't know if any character had done that for scott before, without him either having to ask first or talk them down from killing him before they offer. and i think scott desperately wanted to believe he wasn't the only person built like that. the only person upholding that good will in a constantly hostile environment.
scott does not just up and trust theo immediately and i do resent the fanon that scott just blindly believes people because we see how wary he is for multiple episodes before theo appears to save scott's own beta's life when he couldn't, a one-two punch of apparent proof of theo's goodwill and scott's own shortcomings. even if scott points out how stiles' distrust of all these people didn't pan out, which is true, scott himself was incredibly slow to trust them; derek, the argents, the twins, even derek's betas. even lydia!! all of these people have hurt or been antagonistic towards him and even if the outcome is them having scott's trust down the road, it's only after they've made a gesture that they'll do the right thing or save lives with or without him, just as theo does. scott wants to believe in people, and people often decide to believe in him for this, but i also think he's so so bone-tired of being the only one, and if he takes theo at his word and then actions, he doesn't have to do that alone, maybe. maybe.
and then theo wants to kill him too. and scott trusts him to do the right thing down the road anyway, like he always does with people who try to kill him. do kill him. the only consolation is that it's his beta who goes to bat for believing in someone this time. liam inherits this trait from him, and he can only hope it doesn't get liam killed too. and the thing is that it saves his life, actually! scott trusts liam and liam decided to trust theo so scott trusts that, and theo, to save liam's life when he can't! again!! and theo fucking does!!!can anyone hear me
#j rewatches teen wolf#finally it's somebody else's belief in a person's potential to do the right thing that makes the right thing happen#and it's scott's very own beta :(#if nobody got me scott liam cycle of trust got me#sceo brainworms eating my gray matter#sorry to cry about scott mccall on main do you still wanna be mutuals. sigh 🙄

Hi, how do I get rid of inferiority complex? Everytime I'm around attractive or beautiful women, I either lose all my confidence or can't interact with them properly—I'm either really shy or just forget social cues and stuff over my words and stuff. This is partly because I'm bi, but also because I'm not what society considers attractive (both I'm body size and features) and while I don't care how society precivies my beauty or lack of it, I do hate that I devople this insecure behviour when around pretty women because I believe I'm less than them or smth. I'm still nice to them just can't function around them bc I believe they're above my status or whatever
As always, I love your account and will always be grateful for the content u provide.
Hi love! Thank you so much for your kind words and support <33
I think the best things you can do are the following:
Remember that we're all self-conscious or at least primarily self-focused. We're more likely worried about how we're being perceived versus judging others' appearances.
Don't undervalue the attractiveness of your personality––humor, kindness, confidence, playfulness, empathy. While physical and emotional attractiveness aren't necessarily the same nor weighed equally in all situations (we've all leaned into that vice at some point or another if you know what I mean lol), how someone carries themselves and treats others definitely will affect how attractive you are to others over time––whether that be the duration of a conversation or getting to know them over a long period of time.
Accept who you are and focus on amplifying the traits you like about yourself/you can use to succeed in the areas you're focusing on in any given season of your life––career, friendships, health, emotional intelligence, romantic relationships, education, etc.
Hope this helps xx

MJV but it's their relationship flaws
(I love living in happy fluff world as my fic output would indicate but let's be realistic here)
Jayce is a chronic fixer. He hates seeing people he cares about upset at him, and thinks that if he can somehow logic them out whatever's making them feel that way it'll be better. It doesn't fix it, especially when he's in a relationship with the two most stubborn people in the world.
In my MJV headcanons Mel and Viktor were together first, and that's given Mel a tendency to speak for him when Jayce asks him a question i.e. trying to figure out his preferences about something. This is a triple-edged sword, because Jayce has a tendency to treat Viktor like he's made of glass, and Viktor appreciates Mel's attempt to deflect that for what it is.
When he's actually mad about something, Viktor is just. The biggest bitch. He says shit that he doesn't mean and then immediately apologizes. Mel forgives him, never forgets a slight and will bring it up years later if they're being hypocritical. Jayce, on the other hand, will be sad about it for days.
Jayce almost always has to be the bigger person out of the three of them and play mediator whether he was involved in the argument or not, because neither Mel or Viktor will ever admit to being wrong under any circumstances. Mel does this for his arguments with Viktor. When it's his turn to mediate, Viktor tells Jayce and Mel that they're both being stupid 90% of the time.
Similarly, he's in a near constant state of being exasperated by the fact they never talk about their own feelings, despite being happy to hear whatever he has to say. This is worse with Mel, who's rarely even willing to admit she's upset about something. When Jayce is feeling particularly self-pitying, he'll get mad at them about opening up to each other more than him.
Viktor gets super defensive about anything he takes as passive aggression, and will escalate minor irritation into a fight. Jayce, maybe surprisingly, gets the worst of it on long nights. He has a tendency to convince himself things don't bother him, and let them build over time until he explodes.
But they all love each other and they all know they love each other and they fix these things over time by talking to each other.

I want to start by saying that this is just my own opinion, I am not an authority in any way. I also do not say what I'm about to say to tell you off or 'hate on you' in any capacity. I can only say how this came off to me, and go from there. There is an tl;dr at the end if you only want to see the advice and not the whole breakdown of why I give it. Context: I may have multiple 'types, but when it comes to my involuntary fictomere, I am extremely serious and have been awakened this way for almost ten years now. I am very serious about every aspect of myself, especially this one and identify as physically nonhuman/holothere. I continuously take steps to live as myself physically including having changed my name to the 'right' one - as you describe - so I believe I am possibly the target for your term and thus I decided to comment.
I love the time and effort you have put into this, much more than I have done with any of the soft terms I have coined (though only theriform ever took off I think) and I can tell that finding a word for those in your situation is very important to you.
I'm not sure jumping away to a new term instead of addressing community issues is exactly the right way to go about handling dissatisfaction with your communities. Especially when it is impossible to make sure that the behaviour won't simply start again in the new community.
I do think a term like thespiad could exist though, if only in the hopes of creating a smaller nicher community under the 'fictionfolk/fictionkin' umbrella with more singular experiences and wants/needs for their identity. I'm just not sure if this is the term as it stands now, of if perhaps it needs some tweaks first.
My main issue therefore has nothing to do with the word itself but with your motivation, or at least the way you have phrased your motivation.
I know a fair few that use the fictionkin label (whether they like it or not) who are as serious as you about who they are, and about living in as much as possible, the life of their true self.
"[...] it is often now associated with fandom culture and the 'voluntary' exploration of new identities."
I also know many who seem to me to take on new fictional identities rapidly and without thought and though it's easy for me to wonder if they're actually constelic, or otherlinking, or jumping onto fictionflickers and calling it fictionkin which they should not be - I only see the online side. I don't see the internal side, and I can't tell how deeply they feel their identity, or how long they've been considering it. I don't know how long they spend offline thinking about their fictotype.
We can't judge whether this is voluntary or involuntary from a snapshot of this persons journey as they decide to show it to us.
"The community no longer fully captures the complex experiences of those of us who view our fictional identities as intrinsic rather than chosen."
Are you talking about 'Kin For Fun' here? This is one of the issues which needs to be addressed and our words reclaimed instead of throwing baby out with the bathwater. If you are referring to those who don't seem to be 'as serious' as you and therefore can make the identity and concept feel 'watered down' to you, see my above paragraph about you/us not really knowing what's going on for them including whether it is voluntary. Most fictionkin I talk to and see do not think their identity is chosen - which is within definition of the term - so I'm really not sure which circles you are in but perhaps you should get out of them.
"The current community primarily emphasizes exploration and acquisition of new fictional identities, much more than the further development and understanding of existing ones."
Again, you have no idea how much these people are pouring into each and every new 'type they present. You are unfortunately coming off as judgemental towards those with multiple 'types too, simply because you dislike the way they talk about their newly awakened 'types. I have multiple 'types, not all fictional, but I am also very serious about my fictotype as mentioned above. Where do I fall?
I get the need to find people to have deeper talks with. I would like to do the same. You are not wrong for being keenly interested in not just figuring out 'who' but 'why' and 'how' and 'what does this mean?'. I want to express that clearly. I just think you have quickly chosen to judge the behaviours of other fictionfolk for experiencing themselves differently to you, or supposedly different, and therefore have assumed the whole lot who use the term 'fictionkin' are hopelessly unserious and have corrupted the community somehow. I frame it this way because you present your opinions as 'fact' about the community by the plain way you state it.
The way to encourage the development and understanding of existing fictotypes in the community is to talk about yours in ways that encourage others to talk about theirs in similar ways and create spaces where this is not see as 'spamming' or 'boring'. Online interactions generally favour quick, witty, funny, relatable comments over deeper talks so many fictionkin will prioritise these interactions which get them attention over other things they might genuinely want to do but fear nobody will care about or judge for. That bothers me too, but it's not a fictionkin issue, and needs to be addressed not avoided.
"My fictotype expands beyond just online expression and would exist regardless as to my involvement in the community."
This is true of the vast majority of those who use the term fictionkin whilst genuinely understanding what experiences it is meant to convey (i.e. are not KFF).
"For those who involuntarily identify as fictional characters and have a desire to live them out physically, I believe we deserve our own distinct community. The fictionkin community faces challenges in being taken seriously, both internally and externally, and it is crucial that we begin to assert our identities with the seriousness it deserves."
Yes, we do struggle to be taken seriously, and we do need to assert our identities as crucially serious - by dispelling misinformation about what fictionkin means and how it presents as an identity. I really don't think that simply adding a new term to the vast amount out there is going to result in us being taken more seriously, it just gives up the fight for the word fictionkin in a sense. But also from your above comments I once again fear that what you mean by this is that you're casting a darkened eye towards those you are simply assuming are not as serious as you because they express themselves differently to you.
If this is intended for a term used by physical fictionfolk, then perhaps just say that (as you later do) without all of this part about fictionkin. That at least is an identifiable distinction from the broader fictionkin which does not require physical identification and needs, just an internal sense of identity. It feels though like we're having two talks here, one about wanting a identity for more physically identifying fictionfolk and another where we just take little bashes at the fictionkin community for seeming to behave in a way we dislike.
I'm also not sure if the prefix is the best chosen, although I actually adore how the whole word sounds if I'm honest - simply because of it's association with acting. You probably don't want people being pedantic about it like some are with 'kin means family!!' and say that well since it's related to acting, that means you are acting/roleplaying. Same with the symbol which although cool, is associated with simply playing a role.
tl;dr If you are to coin this term officially, consider the association with acting as a word origin and symbol might give the impression that this is a term for those who are acting/roleplaying an identity. Also, regardless of your internal reasoning, remove all mentions of fictionkin from the definition/information related to the term as it comes off as more you expressing a personal negative opinion of the community rather than relevant to the term at hand. The only part you might need to keep in, for context, is
"In contrast to the broader Fictionkin label, “Thespiad” emphasizes the desire for active transformation and alignment with one’s fictional self physically."
As this one does clarify why and how it is different from fictionkin without looking down on the term in fictionkin or those who have a community around it in any way.
“Thespiad”: Proposing a New Term for Fictionkin Who Involuntarily Identify as Fictional Characters (Under Discussion...)
This proposal contains extensive research and thoughts that I have spent considerable time processing and organizing. It is still in the early stages despite hours poured in, and I am finally opening it up for public feedback. I value your perspectives, as they will help me identify areas I may have overlooked while developing this terminology. If you have suggestions for a more fitting term or wish to share your own experiences, please feel free to contact me.
Purpose
While the term “Fictionkin” is predominately used, it is often now associated with fandom culture and the 'voluntary' exploration of new identities. The community no longer fully captures the complex experiences of those of us who view our fictional identities as intrinsic rather than chosen.
The current community primarily emphasizes exploration and acquisition of new fictional identities, much more than the further development and understanding of existing ones. As a result, I have struggled to find a sense of belonging within community spaces in recent years as I actively seek to express my fictotype in my daily life as that is who I am. My fictotype expands beyond just online expression and would exist regardless as to my involvement in the community.
For those who involuntarily identify as fictional characters and have a desire to live them out physically, I believe we deserve our own distinct community. The fictionkin community faces challenges in being taken seriously, both internally and externally, and it is crucial that we begin to assert our identities with the seriousness it deserves.
The “New Term”: Thespiad (Θεσπιάδης)
Pronunciation: /THES·PI·AD/ Etymology: The prefix "Thes-" is derived from Thespis, the ancient Greek actor who is often credited as the first person to perform as an actor in the context of Greek theater. The suffix "-iad" is a classical suffix used to denote a group of people with shared characteristics or traits.
Usage:
Thespiad: A person who involuntarily identifies as a fictional character and actively desires to express it.
Thespic: An adjective to describe traits or actions related to being a Thespiad.
Thesp/Thespiotype: A specific fictional character that an individual identifies with (e.g., Pikachu from Pokémon).
Thespiades: Plural form of Thespiad.
This term, though rooted in the Greek language, is not synonymous with the modern term “Thespian” (actor), which has become more generalized.
Who This Term Is For?
The term “Thespiad” is intended for those who experience an involuntary identification as a fictional character; When you are a Thespiad you identify 'as' that character. This distinction is critical: it is not merely an identification or connection with a character, but a deeply felt, intrinsic sense of self. In contrast to the broader Fictionkin label, “Thespiad” emphasizes the desire for active transformation and alignment with one’s fictional self physically.
This can involve actions such as changing one's name, relocating to a place reminiscent of your source's setting/location, or altering one's appearance to match that of the fictional character. These practices reflect an attempt to embody the fictional identity in real life.
The Process of Development
In developing a new term, I explored various linguistic roots from Latin, Greek, and Old English. However, many of the terms I curated with this method were too vague or didn't come across as practical. These terms didn't feel inclusive and seemed shaky in definition.
So, I turned to researching about historical people who showcased a similar nature to that of fictionkin (though maybe not exactly) or significantly influenced the storytelling we create and consume today.
Historical Origins
Thespis (Θέσπις) could provide a meaningful historical precedent for this term. Often considered the first actor in the context of Greek theater, Thespis revolutionized storytelling by stepping out of the chorus to portray individual roles, thus creating the idea of the actor as someone who "becomes" the character they portray. His contributions laid the groundwork for modern theater, in which performers transform themselves into characters, not merely to portray them but to bring life to them.
This historical figure could serve as a metaphor for our experiences as Thespiades—individuals who identify with fictional characters not as an act of fan admiration, but as a form of personal and transformative expression.
Metafiction and Fictional Identity
Fictionkin identities often intersect with the concept of metafiction, which explores the boundary between fiction and reality. For Thespiades, the experience of identifying with a fictional character is not purely imaginative but is an essential part of our reality. By acknowledging the gap between the real and the fictional, we can better understand the nuances of this identity. This intersection underscores the need for a term that encompasses the lived reality of these individuals—one that acknowledges both the fictional nature of the identity and its deep roots in personal experience.
Our Symbol: The Drama Masks 🎭
As part of this proposal, I suggest adopting the drama masks—symbols of comedy and tragedy—as a unifying emblem for the Thespiad identity. These masks have long been associated with theater, transformation, and self-expression, making them an apt symbol for those who seek to align their real-world selves with their fictional counterparts. Just as these masks convey the performative nature of theater, they also reflect the process of self-discovery and transformation that many Thespiades undergo.
If you find that this new terminology resonates with your experience, I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Similarly, if it does not fully align with your perspective, I welcome your input as well. Please note that this post is still a work in progress, and I will continue to refine and update it over time. Thank you for taking the time to read and engage with this content.

sometimes I forget that my experience has been. um. not 'your experiences are not universal' vibes but more like 'your experiences are EXTREMELY atypical'
#red said#recent events have reminded me that my life has involved like. a LOT of other people's psychosis#like not in a way where i have been Beset By Terrifying Crazies bc that's not like. a thing.#but a lot of people in my life have had a lot of really severe psychotic episodes#and i FORGET sometimes. that actually that is an Unusual Amount Of Experience With Psychosis for someone who's not#for somebody who has not really personally ever had psychotic episodes (unless severe PTSD flashbacks count)#actually i tell a lie i have maybe had One psychotic episode but because it was very situational and i knew what was happening#i was able to ride it out. because i am literally only psychotic Inside Hospitals and so that's all fine#as long as i LITERALLY NEVER HAVE TO HAVE INPATIENT CARE. Very important to me to never ever ever require surgery i think.#i can handle the amount of psychosis i get from a 1-4 hour stopoff in hospital#as long as i know I'm leaving soon then i can just Cope with the fact that the walls are moving and reality is thin#ANYWAY that's not the point the point is i forget! that most ppl i know have experience of at most a handful of severe psychotic episodes#some people i know have experienced more for sure. especially if the episodes were mostly theirs.#but people really seem to expect me to be more freaked out by their symptoms of psychosis than i am#bc i don't think i really register it as frightening unless they're in actual danger or Currently Aggressing Actually At Me#like i WORRY about them bc it can super suck but it's not SHOCKING or WEIRD#there have definitely been times ive been frightened. one time i woke up in the night and my friend was standing over me with a knife#but also like he was still HIM he was just having a moment. and as soon as i got the knife off him he just came back and broke down.#and we were fine and he was safe and i learnt the valuable lesson that even when people seem like they wanna kill you they probably don't#tbf now I'm thinking about it it's honestly a tossup whether he was there to threaten or because he felt a need to guard us#like to be clear probably don't try and take a knife off someone having a psychotic break. i was 17 and it was 3am and i knew him very well#i probably did not make the smartest call but nobody got hurt is the point#anyway you know there's that kind of psychotic episode and my granny got very violently angry a few times. buuuut you know there's also#been plenty of other times I've been with somebody having an episode and it's been chill as hell.#my ex saw and heard monsters so much that eventually she just got sick of being scared. we used to watch TV with them#i would sometimes have to sit on a bit of sofa that wasn't haunted and we might not be able to watch certain things bc they didn't like it#most of the time she was hallucinating there was absolutely nothing to worry about we just had a few extra variables#honestly of everyone i know who's had psychotic episodes or schizophrenia the amount of times it's been a material risk#is like. low single figures? maybe low double if you include self harm but idk what the cause and effect is there.#idk why you would need to be frightened like 99.99% of the time it truly is usually just Oh No That Seems Distressing For You I'm Sorry

Does pansexuality have its own manifesto? If so, link it to me. Unfortunately, all I find are manifestos from 2021, which I actually remember someone saying pansexuals have a manifesto from before that. Thank you.
hi! so i don't know if there are any out there. i don't think i've specifically looked.
#asks#anonymous#pansexual#personally i don't get the obsession with ~manifestos as far as queer labels go. like in the sense of the bi manifesto#it's not really a bi manifesto if you think about it. if anything it's that magazine's manifesto more than one for bisexuality#but people holding that up as some kind of sacred text (while not even reading or knowing or understanding the full text)#is what caused people to think labels need a ~manifesto because having one validates a label or sexuality or identity above others#when in reality that mindset is a bunch of garbage. they're just texts written by a single person or a small group of people#like the bi manifesto. it was written by one group of bi people at that magazine who even said they don't speak for or rep all bi people#anyways. there could be one or some for pan (i know there is more than one text dubbed the bi manifesto) but idk#i'd be interested as far as pan history (whether it's old or new) goes but personally manifestos for queer labels don't mean anything to me
