Today won’t be posting the most recent art piece’s progress. I’m not happy with how far I’ve gotten with the piece compared to the last post. So instead I’ll be posting some work-in-progress works connected to the gallery. I also want to show a story I’m writing on Ao3.

First, we have our lovely bovine of Mother’s Land. A creature that is almost domesticated by the locals of the island. It seems to tolerate the humans considering it gets food from them when all it has to do is carry their junk. Just don’t piss it off or forget to feed it.

Next we have a lovely man-eater stalking the streets of one of the more popular cities. It’s gotten a meal, but another snack couldn’t hurt. A very dangerous creature for humans, and The Guard don’t take kindly to when one of these fuckers walk in. In fact The Guard’s main city is over a lake with few entrances. This helps them watch out for the man-eater if it tries to get inside. I’ve been debating on what to name this guy and I’m leaning towards Komoraku. No particular reason, just feels right.

So! For the second part of this post, my Ao3 writing. If you’ve seen my first post, TMNT: Prisoner’s Bale, you’ll know I have an interest in RotTmnt. I very much enjoy reading the stories off Tumblr and Ao3 and have considered making my own stories. I have a list of five ideas going through my head, inspired by many of the works written and drawn by others. While I’m not going to be making an Ao3 story about  TMNT: Prisoner’s Bale (yet), I am writing another story that has been caught in my head.  Oh, Where Have You Been Brother? is a story in the Separated AU circle. All the brothers have gotten different parents and have grown separately. It’s going to lean more slice of life as three of the brothers try to find the last piece to their collection. The main views will be with Donnie and Leo, but Raph and Mikey will still be getting some love. I just think the disaster twins will have a better point of view until I see otherwise. I did post chapter one before making this post, and next chapter I do plan on giving Raph and Mikey their point of view of the whole mess. All in all, I do hope y’all enjoy the story. I’ve made this post long enough. Have a nice day!

We all have to agree Bully Robin should have some softer and caring sides. When there's only them two and no one else is around to judge, he can let loose and slip back into that kinda of "Original Robin" we know and I love. feel like my headcanons for gender-nonconformity amongst Tres Horny Boys often fall just a little to the left of usual fanon — by which I mean, I see Taako as androgynous more so than feminine, and see Magnus as the one who's feminine, but in ways that he mix-and-matches with masculine elements too. and of course, the distinction between any of these things is a social construct, and is probably best thought of as revolving around individual intent — but that's how I like to conceptualize them conceptualizing it, you know?

this is probably better explained by example. to me, the typical Taako outfit is going to be something like those long flowy pants that are indistinguishable from a skirt at a distance, but with occasional real skirts in the rotation too (just to keep them guessing). while the average Magnus outfit involves multiple earrings (the dangliest ones that wouldn't be a hazard in a fight), pink nail polish, and a pair of cargo shorts. pure chaos that only he could make work. then in the meantime, Merle has never in his life even seriously contemplated gender presentation at all — if he puts flowers in his beard, that's 'cause it brings him closer to Pan and he happens to think these colors look nice! no reflection given and no reflection needed on any cultural concepts of masculinity, and whether or not he aligns with them.

DC Comic Book Guide!

Do you want to get into reading DC comics but it all seems very overwhelming and you have no idea where to start? Or maybe you've already been reading comics for a while but you've been avoiding exploring new characters because you just cannot find a good reading list for them.

If so you've come to a good place!!!

Along with @seratheminx on TikTok (go follow her! she makes really fun edits and other DC related videos, and this whole thing was her idea!) we've been working on a little project that assembles reading lists for different DC characters and teams for easy access! It also contains explanations for newer readers on basic terms and timelines. And gives our recommendations on where to start reading!

So far we have assembled lists for 230+ characters!

And there's a wheel you can spin to randomly choose a character from the list ✨😎.

We just wanted to put them in one place for easier access as sometimes they are way harder to find than just a quick google search (which I did not realise before I started this project 💀). All the credit for those goes to their original creators! Lists are added in the form of links so you can clearly see who the og creators are, please give them some love if you found their hard work helpful!!! Seriously those guides are amazing and so well thought out! But that also means that not every list is up to date, as some were made a few years ago or didn't include certain eras for other reasons. I tried to include disclaimers if I thought that the missing years are important to the character so you can look for the rest on your own but obviously there are 230+ characters and I'm not an expert on every single one of them so 😅. The rest: definitions, recommendations and such were written by me and Sera. I just wanted to make that part clear.
