You loved afternoon walks in the city, especially at this time of the year, when it's finally not that hot, that you can't be outside for more than five minutes because you boil, and also not too cold either, so you don't freeze yet. But today was an especially cold day for this early on in the season. Fall was your favorite season ever, it's just so beautiful, all the colors of the falling leaves, it has a special, kind of romantic feel to it.

You usually had a really cold hand all the time, but now that the weather cooled down your hands were freezing. Wooyoung took the opportunity to offer you him to warm them up for you. Honestly, the real reason was that he loved to hold your hands any time, especially in public. He thought this way he can protect you better, so he can keep you closer to him. Also, he loved any form of physical touch, so it was just a plus.

So you were walking hand in hand, like two love birds, that can't go further than a foot away from each other, and it was kinda true. You both loved to be as close as possible to one another, it seeks comfort in a way.

It didn't last too long though, because the minute you saw a stand a bit far away where they were selling some bungeoppang, you immediately drop your boyfriend's hand and literally sprinted there. There was only one thing in your mind, you needed something delicious the warm you up in this freezing cold.

"Why does she always do this?" Yeah, it was pretty frequent for this situation to happen. But you were very independent, and sometimes forget to tell him what you were thinking out loud, so your boyfriend could actually know what was happening. Now the only thing he can do is to run after you.

"Look they sell bungeoppang!!" You told him a little too excited when he finally caught up to you. It would have been fun to Wooyoung if it wasn't this freaking cold outside. You could say that your relationship was kinda fun and playful, you both were the kind of people who didn't take things too seriously, and that's why life is so fun.

 "Do you want some too?" You asked your boyfriend as you were already about to pay for your own. He was hesitant but you bought him one anyway, you don't want him to steal yours. And that happens all the time, you ask him if he wants something, and he says no to you, but the next second he is eating your precious food. You love each other and would share anything, but you both are really serious about food.

So you continued your walk at the park while eating your delicious snack. You were about to tell Wooyoung how good it feels to warm your stomach up, but when you looked at him he already finished his. Yeah, sure he doesn't need one...

Suddenly you busted out laughing, you actually couldn't stop it. Wooyoung got confused about why you were laughing so hard, but he wanted to do it so bad, he wanted to laugh with you, so he asked you non stop "what?" "why are we laughing?", as if you could answer him right now.

The moment you tried to tell him and pointed at him because you still couldn't talk, now from the exhaustion, was when he realized that you were laughing at him. Now he wasn't that happy about it anymore. 

"You got some red bean paste on your face babe. Come here." You wanted to help him, but you were still catching your breath and wiping your tears away. He did not accept your help, he was acting like he was offended. But in reality, he knew it was funny, but he was the kind who couldn't handle it when got teased by someone else.

"Come on, you know it was funny" You tried to get to his heart, by back hugging him. Of course, he couldn't handle that, and told you with a pouty voice "do you like me with food on my face too?".

"I like you by all means." He turned around to face you and gave a little kiss on the top of your nose. "Your nose is really cold." He seemed very surprised, he didn't think you are this cold, although you told him before, but he thought it was just your usual exaggeration.

You touched your nose to check what he was talking about. "I told you I'm freezing Woo." You couldn't believe that he is realizing just now, you told him several times before.

"You want to see something cool?" He asked you all of a sudden. Wooyoung smiled a little bit at your expression, your face was actually clueless.

You didn't answer him, but he already dragged you behind him. You hoped that it wasn't something lame, because you hated surprises, even small ones like this. But it actually was super cool, you got very much excited when your boyfriend stopped in front of a Ferris wheel at the center of the park.

"Want to take a ride?" He asked you with the biggest smile because seeing you this happy made him the happiest human ever.

"YEES!!!" You were literally jumping due to the sudden joy, you couldn't help yourself. Now it was your time to drag Wooyoung to the cashier. "Two tickets pleasee!" You looked like a little kid whose dad or older brother brought you here as a reward.

When you got into the cabin, you sat down facing each other. Your excitement fade away when the Ferris wheel started moving. Your boyfriend took the opportunity to get you back and when it stopped at the very top, he stood up and started moving and of course, the whole cabin started moving with him.

"Wooyoung stop!" You yelled at your boyfriend while trying to hold on to something, anything. All you heard is his witch laugh, and you immediately knew what was this about. "I'm serious if you're not sitting down right now.." You couldn't even finish your sentence, when he sat down next to you and said "Then what?" Ohh boy, he caught you off guard. 

"Don't worry Y/n, I'm just messing around. I got you, until I'm here nothing's gonna happen, so you can let go of your seat."

It was enough for you to calm down. You knew your boyfriend, and how much he loved teasing you, just as much as you loved teasing him. But you trusted him, he would never do something that actually could hurt you.

He took your hands in his for the rest of the ride. " Your hands aren't cold anymore. Did you warm up?"

"Yes, thanks for this whole experience." It was a bit sarcastic, but you were actually thankful for him.

Decided to do a "live" commentary on a show I'm currently watching, so yeah Idk I guess I'll just write my unfiltered thoughts about Crash Landing on You starting with the end of episode 2.

She had depression and other mental health issues which explains why she acts so suicidal from time to time, for example when she acts really stupid, like the time she ran through a mine field, or when she displays a no-one-can-do-me-anything attitude whilst talking to the soldiers (because even if she is a spoiled rich girl and in shock, she is generally too smart to underestimate the situation) because she seems to not care that much whether she survives.

So I didn't expect that to evolve into a fake dating trope but I'm here for it. I mean we already had forced proximity and enemies to lovers so they didn't need to go so hard but they did anyways.

She really is going to girlboss her way through this crisis, isn't she?

Anyways, the 'June situation': I still think June's great and I also still think that she's just Maya's rebound lmao. I've seen a lot of people freaking out over them, because of the new clips, but imo there's just nothing to worry about. They seem like friends with benefits lmao. Also, I do really believe that Maya 'uses' June as a sort of comfort zone. Let me explain: first of all, Maya/June are alike lmao, I mean they have (i guess) more or less the same age, the same hobby/passion (asso) and June is actually so mature and kind. The girl is kinda the perfect girl lmao. Sounds like 'ok we're gonna give Maya her ideal type of partner'. But I think that perfection is the main problem here. We've also seen the June/Maya conversation clip after the greenhouse party, Maya talked about her relationship with Lola not being 'as perfect as she thought', which is kinda funny cause no relationship will ever be perfect, there will always be the good parts of it and the bad ones. Point is she'll have to find balance with her partner and make things work. And this is exactly what she doesn't have to do with June, cause things are pretty casual, there's no commitment, no arguments and girl loves not facing things lmao. I think this June/Maya situation was a temporary bubble, where Maya could relax (aka running away again) and that's why this episode is slow af, cause we're as stuck as Maya lmao.

Also, I think that there's kind of a link between Maya/June/Lola/love in general:

Maya/June: the kind of relationship you think you want, you kinda picture it in your own head (ex. Your type physically/type of personality/ideal person me thinks). Probably what you think you need cause it sounds cozy, easy, cause you can "control" it (an easy way);

Maya/Lola: probably not the person that you pictured in your head, kinda the Yin Yang situation. You could think that your partner is your opposite, but I don't know if that's actually true (I don't lmao). Definitely complementary if there's a good communication. Probably the type of relationship with lots of ups and downs, not as easy at the other one;

Love in general: guess we all see things differently, but imo, there's always a line between what we think we want/need vs what we actually want/need. I also don't think that is possible to be that 'rational' since we're talking about love. Love is mostly emotions related, and that's why we can control with whom we fall in love. So, I think June is in the plot for this reason, mainly for opening Maya's eyes about her idea of love/relationship.

The moon thing: I don't know if someone has already pointed this out but Clément's name on Instagram is literally c_by_the_moon or something like that. Now, since we know that there are a lot of moon references in this season, I don't think that this is a coincidence. Also, the Nye is kinda haunting us since the beginning. I mean, what happened (beside the Clément/Lola/relapse situation). I hope Clément is coming to the countryside and that we get to see him talk with Maya, for whatever reason. I think that if we have to know something about the Nye is gonna come from Clément, I don't see the others talking about that. Maybe is gonna be Lola related, or I don't really know.

Also, the countryside...bet there will be lots of stars in the sky... I've lived in Paris for years, and seing the stars/the moon (really) well is kinda impossible *air pollution*. So that would be really nice if they'd give us the moon line while they are in the countryside 🙌

Thierry : I don't know why, but I still he's going to be Maya's emergency contact cause I'm still waiting for that takotsubo 2.0. I just don't see why Maya would have another takotsubo, but i just can't buy that the nurses line was a coincidence so yeah, still expecting the worst lmao. And I still believe it's gonna happen while she's working at school, cause Lola has to see it, lol.

The asso thing: I've always thought that is was Emiko related and that was why Maya was so into it. I guess I'm just disappointed cause we know so little about this topic, I mean, we do see her during her actions but we don't really know why this is so important to her. I get that saving the planet could already be a valid reason, but I personally don't think that's Maya's main reason. I don't know if that makes sense.

La mif situation : I think that this was a tricky situation for all of them. I don't think they were bad friends or that they were picking sides. We also have to consider that they're young, and they're all friends that would have preferred to have fun rather than to deal with this break-up lmao. Also, imo, they've all been there for Maya, they all did something to make her feel better, and I think that they did the same with Lola while they were at school. Maybe they've been a little clumsy something, while trying to help Maya, but I think that they've all, at least, tried to make her feel better.

Maya behavior: I really hope she's done running away. She already has an apology tour to do with La mif lmao, so I hope that we'll finally see some evolution from there. Even if I still believe that something big has to happen to kinda 'break' the old Maya. Also still thinking about that damn wig, I don't care, that thing has to disappear asap lmao. 1.- Pizza Girl by Kyoung Jean Frazier

🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really did like it, reminded me a lot of "Convinience store woman". Like clearly our protagonist needed thrapy ASAP to help her deal with her dad's death, her pregnancy, her attraction to women and hell just for existing as an Asian woman in the USA, but I liked how messy and obsesive she was and how the author allowed her to be fucked up and take bad decisions, I love to see female characters simply exist, it's also a pretty short read so I definitely recommend it.

2.-The Authentics by Abdi Nazemian

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Daría is a persian teen who is really involved in her cultural background and feels that the most important thing one can be is authentic, so that's the name she and her friends take for their clique. But everything comes crashing down on her when she discovers she is adopted, and soon follows an identity crisis. I loved it so much, it felt pretty realistic, like Daría could be self absorbed and unlikeable at times, but who wasn't as a teen? And we get such beautiful heartwarming moments between Daría and her family and friends. Totally recommend it.

3.- The Mall by Megan McCafferty

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Cassie has her life completely mapped out but nothing goes quite as planned, first she gets mononucleosis and after she gets better gets dumped and fired almost simultaneously. Determined not to let it get the best of her, Cassie gets a brand new job, reconnects with an old friend and even finds a hidden treasure. This one is so much fun, all the 90s references and the growth Cassie goes through is amazing, honeslty i would love to see this as a Netflix movie.

4.- Luster by Raven Leilani

🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book was hard, Edie is a very raw character, at first she seems flippant even when describing disturbing facts about her past or details about her relationship with a much older man she seems to be talking about something that happened to someone else all this to cope dealing with her solitude, her trauma, her self hate. And gosh it was so intresting to see her interact with Rebecca and Akila, especially Akila as Edie finds kinship in this young girl not only cuz they are both black but because they are both lost and afraid.

5.- Lakewood by Megan Giddings

🌟🌟🌟

Lena decides to participate on a financially compensated medical experiment so her mom can get proper medical care and to lessen their debts after her Grandmother's death.

So I had many mixed feelings about this, on one hand I liked that we are adressing how sistematical racism has permited experiments on black people with no consequences at all and how it has been happening for decades, but there were certain parts of the book that I couldn't enjoy as much because they were very trippy like I get we are on Lena's mind as things are becoming muddled up because of the medications and all those mind games and the words they have her memorize and repeat but all of it took me a bit away from the story. Still I do recommend it just be aware there is quite a bit of body horror in this so if you are sqeamish better skip it.

6.-The Voting Booth - Brandy Colbert

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Marva and Duke meet on election day as she helps him find the precint he is registered on.

This is very enjoyable, the story is very straightforward, and it insists on our right and responsability to vote even if we feel our vote alone can't possibly change all the injustice we see in the world. And also the romance was cute and developed slowly as Marva and Duke are just knowing each other. Really cute and quick read.

7.- Such a fun age - Kiley Reid

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Emira works as a babysitter for the Chamberleins' . She loves her little charge Briar, although she feels preassured to seek a 'real job' by her friends and by her own economic troubles. Emira soon finds herself in the middle of a tug of war between her boss Alix who tries to befriend her, and Kelley the guy she is dating.

So much drama. This is a great example of what performative activism looks like, first Alix is completely nuts, from her obsession to be seen as this wonderful understanding girl boss activist and the down right creepy sense of entitlement to Emira's friendship and intimacy. Like it doesn't surprise me she chose to victimize herself instead of recognizing it had all been a misunderstanding. And even then she still wants to seem atractive to the man she feels victimized by. Girl no.

Kelley is the ultimate fake woke ally. Dude Robbie was wrong period, he had no business inviting people over to someone else's house no matter the color of his skin. You don't get to talk over Emira on matters of what a person of color should do or feel on certain situations. That said it was so funny when he and Alix called each other out for their fetishization of people of color and yet none of them actually gave a damn about what Emira thought/felt/percieved. They just wanted her stamp of approval so they could pat themselves in the back for being such good allies.

8.- The Life and (Medieval) times of Kit Sweetly by Jamie Pacton

Kit is working as a serving wench at the Castle, medieval themed restaurant run by her uncle, though she really wants to be a Knight, not only cuz the better pay would help around the house but because she really admires Joan of Arc, problem is the Castle management doesn't allow for anyone who is not a cis male to be a knight. Kit is set on changing that.

Ok so I feel a bit lukewarm toward this. Kit in my opinion doesn't get much growth, it seems she just can do whatever and her friends have to be ok w it, her romance w her friend feels pulled out of nowhere like Jett at one point tells her he is not intrested in dating her and then he is ???, those GoT references killed me, I get it I watched the show and sometimes even enjoyed it but it's not representative of anything medieval and Kit was always talking about how much she liked the actual history of the medieval times so...

Also as much as this book was about feminism and how we should fight for equal job oportunities, it feels as though Kit only cared about medieval woman who fought physically and not on the badass medieval woman, like idk it feels as a rejection of tradicional feminity like even the girl playing the Princess is a jerk. But I did like some parts, like her decision to confront her asshole dad to help her mom and the girls training together.

Me encanto, hace mucho tiempo que no leía una novela de realismo mágico que me provocará tantos sentimientos. Creo que todos los personajes reflejan aspectos de la humanidad tan diversos y complejos que sería inútil tratar de enlistarlos todos.

Ultimadamente siento que lo que condenó a la familia Buendia a cumplir las profecías de Melquiades fue sus propia naturaleza que ellos nunca tuvieron intención de pelear, siempre sucumbian a las locuras o pasiones que los inundarán sin mesura alguna o consideración por las consecuencias. Y creo que aún así lo prefiero pues es lo que hace a cada personaje por confuso que a veces llegue a ser la repetición de nombres (que para mi es el simbolismo de una naturaleza y destino continuos) único e intrigante. En verdad espero que se den la oportunidad de leer este libro por lo menos una vez en sus vidas.

This is a gender-swaped modern retelling of the Phantom of the Opera.

It was creative to make Mel, our Phantom, a true magical creature, and the singing contest was also cool. Like don't get me wrong I did have fun reading this but it also felt pretty unpolished like most characters were teens on the contest and that kinda made me roll my eyes a bit, like unless it's the Voice Kids age ranges are quite ample on this kind of shows, also kinda clumsy the addition of the magical elements with the modern setting, Kiyo didn't make much of an impression with me even when Christine is my fave on the original book. Still if you are a Phan like me you might wanna check this one out.

11.- Anna K by Jenny Lee

This is a modern americanized ya retelling of Anna Karenina.

Not gonna lie this made me cry so much at the end. I really liked Anna and Vronski together so much, and I don't like the love at first sight trope, but here it felt so inevitable. Anna was so self contained until she met him and could truly explore being herself and they really loved each other so much. Also I liked the treatment of the side characters Kimmie and Dustin were well developed and I really enjoyed this one can't wait to get to the second book.

12.- Wonderland by Zoje Stage

It was ok, but I was actually a bit disappointed cuz I had such high expectations for it. Like for about half the book I was really into the atmospheric vibe the book pulls you into, but as we get the reveal it started to go down hill for me, and the ending left me feeling meh. But maybe it was just not my cup of tea.

This book is so well crafted!!! I love how it goes back and forth between past and present , first it feels as if history is repeating itself, then as both narratives unfold we start to question and discovering things and the twist at the end was chillin and masterful, I truly and wholeheartedly recommend it.

This broke my heart, as it reflects how people coming from rural backgrounds get taken advantage of in the City, like similar things happen here in Mexico, but also it made me glad to see Adunni fight and keep her spirit so no one could ever silence her.

Immanuel does her very best to fit in Bethel, follow the scriptures and the Prophets words, but nothing seems to be enough to erase her mother's sin especially when the Darkwood seems to pull her in. As a plague starts to ravage Bethel, Immanuel has to face her past to save her people.

So frickin' good !!!! This story is great, mainly about the explotation of woman and young girls by people in power (in this case a church), the atmosphere is always tense, Ezra and Immanuel 's relationship is very well developed and one can really see how loyal they are to each other. A great option for horror fans.

i'm almost done with this fucking bullshit and i am in a really ould mood and usu they make it a bit better but imo it's kind of....annoying i guess balancing all these story elements and introducin gother couples (even in the periphery) since the story in itself can't focus. i feel like all in all the time spent with these two is a lot more limited and we get the feel for the rship because of their chemistry as actors, irl chemistry as friends and colleagues, and hopefully being happy and working on a good set. so it isn't the strength of the writing or production.

for some reason they get like less dynamic ways of being together which i think is part of their charm, they do things their own way, but the writers really should have substantiated this more. it's really just the way everyone in the show has managed to deliver these AWFUL story lines and production decisions (like seriously who the fuck was on costume? lighting?)

like maybe hot take but all the moments that are cringe and insane in the show are not pleasant, per se, because they aren't thought out clearly. so they're not a joy to watch in the normal sense but the actors are good enough to pull it off. i didn't cringe at the talks they had because it felt like actors like acting these lines out instead of us being embarrassed for it and you CAN TELL theyre embarrassed.

this is a huge kudos to the casting director and the actors and whatever crew that actually did a good job. i don't particularly like watching bo xiang and his grandfather husband not because of the content but because i feel like, to me, they're so awkward even though they have chemistry. i don't have that issue with xing si and his rapist brother boyfriend because watching them is actually really pleasant, it's intimate. this isn't to do with the story though because when it hits you how devoid this other person is and how stupid the situation is it changes (for me, for me, for me, this is all my opinion think whateverrrr u want im not telling u 2 ok!)

so truly kudos to this cast. idk if i'm misremembering here but imo the most cast appropriate series in this was crossing the line and close to you. one is a decent atmosphere and execution (yes even with that brother story line, notice the major key differences though because that's a sincere false equivalence. they try to execute power imbalances soooo badly and then fail every time but here's one meant to shock too and it was just likelmao ok girl?)

it may not make sense to say either in a writing way or for the character to do it but i believe that whoever the characters these people are supposed to be especially those super not well written on the page still get that message aacross (yong jie's actor is a good ex. not sure if i should ccongratulate him for having the worst job on earth and the worst character and his character is flat but. ostensibly they should let their actions speak for themselevs but what they do is they back themselves into a ccorner with unsuretyabout their characters or a dilemma that pops up they just want to excuse it. well guess hwat u couldnt do enough legwork. but to some extent the disposable side couple works here on a um "our eyes see them and get it" way

also to me it seems like they chose this story just to have this specific wedding. like it's a timely topic and i'm pretty sure like another provision? (correction? idk) was made WRT taiwanese same-sex marriage so it's topical but it isn't like a "papa and daddy" situation where they're interacting in it and there (for ex: the pride parade) and there being like real life terms and consequences. here it seems like they were like ah yes wedding ah yes dumb couple from modc bc we kiled off the other one sooooo (then outsource them to life love on the line u__u) then hamfisting in some fucking message which is funny bc

- despite the hints peppered in and the clear attraction they both acknowledge ur like ~not gay just him~ even tho...i mean i just. again they dont read over what they write i don't think considering. but wahtever.

- the only gay dude (verbally said) is with his rapist brother with an awful power dynamic oh or IS a rapist (gao) (or his brother but i think it was just a "im a psycho so it's him" thing unless they said it. in which case idc cos i wasnt paying attn but that's also not great) or i guess the wedding but like....that's also a ridiculously inappropriate and dumb relationship taht it's built on. i mean i don't really see much respect her so i dont particularly want to hear abt gay weddings being important when they didn't even utilize it in the story beforehand and have we ever. this is a huge indication to me that it was a reverse engineered chosen story beforehand (if it was one) or thought of

but the acting really carried it. i have a feeling if this series continues it might continue to use more experienced actors cos maybe the budget goes up but they also have less inhibitions now when it comes to acting. i like the way li chen expresss himself and teng teng too. i like anson a lot and there's some angles that did not do any favors and i think eh has to get more control of his body movements (bc he's SO LARGE and thin) but he wasn't bad at all and there were real human tears. of course i, personally, favor charles tu. he has more control over his body because he has...less to work with and he's a bit bigger and he was really great in this role. he's a himbo a bit of a meathead but you like him. you like them. there's some things i think they had them say and do that they wouldn't let happen if they stuck to the characters and the story (mainly liking that dumb idiot rapist)

what i notice is that the reprehensible actions people criticize others for in the show and in real human life lalways gets turned around. teng teng being surprised that this boy's grandfather boyfriend met him when he was a junior in high school and he's 12 years older and him apologizing for being shocked and then whatshisface going "ur better at it than most people" and then the convo about gao with whatshisface and then rapist brother comes to pick him up. they are admonishing gao but thinking that rapist brother is noble for doin gwhat he did (and oh rapist brother shows up) like the hypocrisy and the decisions are immense. so now it's like "guys see he's a great guy" like girl STICK TO SOMETHING but whatever so i live in this universe where muren and li chen do everything right and have lots of different interesting fun seex with all their friends. i would write this but i cannot i am dying

You vaguely heard your name being called, but only snuggled into the warmth of whatever was wrapped around your plush form. Before you could lull back to your dream land filled with fantasies that you wished were real, a soft nudge to your forehead busted that dream. 

"Ah, there she is!" Your eyes blinked open, sleep still calling you, but that damn nudging was getting on your nerves. Bleary eyes focused upon the culprit: Barry.

With a huge grin on his face, he held out his hand for you. Needless to say, you were surprised at the sweet gesture; not having been shown this kind behavior from a man before. Shrugging the blanket off yourself, you grasped Barry's warm hand and stood up.

Your legs were a little wobbly from sitting so long that getting out of the aisle was a bit of an issue, but thankfully Barry noticed and helped you out. With his hand still holding onto your smaller one and wrapping his other one around your soft waist.

Once free and in the somewhat spacious plane aisle, Barry still held onto you, as you sent him a smile in thanks. It was a cute and sweet moment, until a throat cleared making you both jump away from each other as if you were caught doing something you weren't. 

Glancing up, Bruce stood there, arms crossed with a brow raised and behind him stood Diana who just had a wide grin on her face, her eyes darting between Barry and yourself.

"Now that the googly eyes have stopped, let's get down to business." 

Your cheeks flushed at his words, your eyes gliding up to Barry's face, seeing he was in the same state as you right now.

Bruce and Diana started out as Barry and yourself followed, silence hanging in the air like some disease. Walking down the stairs of the plane, the sun shined and beat against your skin, waking you up fully as you made your way to the car.

"Sorry if I made it awkward back there," Barry followed in step with you, walking right beside you. "I tend to do that... a lot actually, you know, that might be my other superpower." Laughing, you shook your head.

"Trust me, the only one who made it awkward was Bruce and his serious face." 

The speedster laughed at your words and nodded. "Wouldn't be the Batman if he wasn't always wearing the serious face." He breathed out just as you got to the car. You wanted to say something witty and funny, but with Bruce right in front of you; you didn't want to chance it because if he heard, you'd get a personal butt kicking from the Dark Knight. 

"After you, milady." Barry bowed down, swooping his hand across the air, presenting the open door to you. Giving a curtsy to your "Red Knight" per se, you climbed into the car, seating yourself on the far left side. 

Barry slid in right after you and plopped himself down beside you as he slammed the door shut. You could feel the warmth of his side as it brushed against your soft one gently; the feeling sending a shiver up your spine. 

To your left, Diana was seated next to Bruce as they shared a glass of what looked like wine. Of course Bruce still liked the lavish scene and well, you knew Diana enjoyed a nice glass of wine once in a while. "Here," Her voice cut through the silent air as she presented two glasses of the same beverage she and Bruce were enjoying.

"Can't forget you two, now can we?" A smile played on the hero's lips. 

Barry cleared his throat and accepted the two glasses. "Of course not, who else is going to liven things up while we're here?" Diana chuckled as she took a sip from her glass and turning back to Bruce to continue their conversation. The glass of sweet looking white wine was suddenly in your face, your chubby hands grasping the thin, glass stem.

"Cheers," Turning to Barry in your seat, you left the glass lifted as you waited for Barry to finish. "Cheers to making new friends, my first time on a private plane, fancy wine and actually getting to meet someone who isn't brooding all the time to socialize with." Grinning at his speech, you both clinked glasses and took a sip – the sweet wine sliding down your throat, the taste making you smile, but then again, that was also due to Barry's face when he drank his glass. His face scrunched up in mild disgust, as he took a bigger sip than intended.

"You know," You started, taking a tiny sip to prove your point. "Wine is usually for sipping, not for chugging...just a heads up speedy." Barry scoffed, scooting closer to you. Your legs were flushed against each other's at this point.

"Speedy, huh?"

"I mean, if you can come up with another name, by all means, please do."

"Alright, you're on (Y/N), how about we make this a little bit interesting?"

Finishing off your wine, you were feeling good, the awkwardness gone as you looked up at Barry who had a playful grin on his face. 

"How exactly do you mean by making it a little bit interesting?" Before he answered you, he handed you his glass of wine which you gratefully took. With both of his hands free, he shrugged, placing his hands on his knees, the side of his hand was gently rubbing against the side of your knee as he repeatedly rapped his fingers against his. He most likely didn't notice, but that was fine.

"How about if I come up with another, much better name, I take you out for a night on the town – dinner, dancing, crime fighting, whatever you want to do, how does that sound?"

The offer was wonderful – a chance to hang out with Barry, getting to know him and the fact that he even wanted to take you out was great. You've been so busy with work and traveling with Diana that the thought of actually having a legitimate relationship was so farfetched to you, it seemed like a dream.

But, looking up at Barry's silly grin, you thought that maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't be a dream. Sticking your hand toward him to seal the deal, he shook your soft hand with a wide grin, like he won the greatest prize on Earth. "You got yourself a deal... speedy." 

"Okay," Barry tapped his chin in thought. "Now to think of the best superhero name ever for a once in a lifetime chance to take a pretty girl out on a date... no pressure at all." His ramblings were adorable honestly and he was taking this little deal so serious; it was interesting to see it all unfold in front of your eyes.

As the car came to a stop, you glanced out the window, seeing unfamiliar surroundings, tall buildings, bustling streets and the annoyance of blaring car horns. The car door opened, the driver ushering you all out, Barry slid out with ease, offering his hand to you to help you. Once outside and still holding onto the speedsters hand, you took in the large building in front of you.

"Welcome to Gotham City." Diana's cheerful voice brought you out of your gawking as you glanced over your bosses face, a knowing smile playing on her lips as her eyes darted down to yours and Barry's intertwined hands.

Your little group headed into the fancy hotel, Barry still holding onto your hand while looking around in wonder at the grandness of it all, well, you weren't any better, your eyes darting around like a child in a candy store. Of course you've stayed in nice hotels before since you traveled for work with Diana a lot, but this... this was on a whole different level. Glittering, crystal chandeliers lining the ceiling as if they were a mere party decorations. The walls you swore were painted in gold and silver itself and the décor put everything you've even known about interior design to shame.

"If you two keep gawking, your jaws might fall off." Bruce's deep voice boomed against all the chattering happening around you as it brought you out of your slack-jawed state. 

"They looked so cute like that though." Diana's words brought a flush to your cheeks. Bruce only raised a brow at Diana who just shrugged, keeping her smile on her face as usual. 

"Anyways," He handed out separate room keys before continuing. "Here's everyone's room keys, numbers are on the back." Flipping yours over, the numbers '549' were etched onto the expensive looking plastic that was lined with a fancy black design.

"We meet up with the rest of the league in the morning, tonight, rest or explore the city, whatever you'd like to do, but remember to always have your guard up." With those words, he was walking away, but what did you expect from brooding Bruce in the first place. With the three of you still standing around the lavish lobby, you felt Barry finally let go of your hand. 

"If you'll excuse me you two, I have some documents to look over before tomorrow." With a small wave, Diana went toward the elevators, but not before giving you a sly look. You just knew once you and your boss were alone tomorrow, she'd be asking for details or whatever and you weren't looking forward to it one bit. Your mind was a bit on overdrive, because what details were you going to give, was anything going to happen, would he even come up with a kickass superhero name, I mean there were too many 'what if's' in this situation.

"The Flash."

Your head snapped to the grinning speedster. "Huh?" 

"The Flash," Stepping closer to your form, you could feel the heat radiating off his lithe body. Placing his hand on your shoulder, he went on. 

"That's my awesome superhero name; The Flash, much, much better than speedy, don't ya think?" 

You nodded at his words, the name having a certain ring to it. I mean, that's how you met him on the plane; in a flash. Yeah, it was catchy for sure. "Okay, I admit defeat," Throwing your hands up in mock defeat, your fingers grazed up his clothed abdomen lightly as you could feel the outline of his muscles, leaving a tingling sensation on your fingertips. 

"That is a pretty awesome nickname Barry... I mean, Flash." You could see his cheeks light up at you saying the new superhero name out loud. 

Clearing his throat, he grabbed your hand again and this time, you didn't flush up, you just smiled at the sweet gesture. 

"So, since I won fair and square, how about dinner and a drink or five at the bar down the street tonight?" His thumb was running across your knuckles lightly, making a shiver go up your spine at the contact.

He nodded and pulled you toward the elevator. Out of curiosity, you glanced down at his room key and silently laughed because etched onto the plastic was the number, '550'. As the elevator door closed on the both of you, your mind was reeling because now, there weren't any 'what if's' as the clock ticked closer to eight.

I don't dislike Tilde per se. I liked her a lot in TSS. She was strong and took ownership of her sexuality. But in TGC I think she was unneeded and unbelievable. She turned Eggsy into a prince/kept boy, forced him out of a career he loved, was a drug user, and manipulated him to propose/marry her. Not the signs of a good person or a healthy relationship. Still I'd never post hate for her in any of the tags. I just wish everyone would tag for her and her relationships so blacklist can catch it.

I appreciate that you don’t intend to post any hate for Tilde. I can also see why you might feel the way you do about her. I don’t think it’s near that cut and dry, though, to be perfectly honest. And, since you messaged me about it, I assume that you’re open to talking about it all, so I’ll be frank.

Although, haha, before I start the frank part, I’ll say that while I don’t tag individual characters, that’s not part of my tagging system, I do tag my Kingsman ships, so I can rec that if you want to block them, you might want to block ‘Royal Eggs,’ ‘Royal Hartwin,’ ‘Royal Merwin,’ and ‘Royal Merhartwin.’ Those are the ship names I’m using and the ones I’ve seen others use.

Okay. The frank, thoughtful bits now.

I was mildly unsure about Tilde on my first watch through. Mostly because yeah, okay, the most likely reason they wrote her in was to give Eggsy a heterosexual relationship, in an attempt to try and avoid slash ships. Which, is kind of funny, because good lord the Hartwin overtones are insane in TGC, far more so than I ever picked up from TSS. It’s like, they wrote Eggsy into a het relationship, and then ramped up the gay to about five thousand. And I’m saying that as someone who doesn’t ship Hartwin as my main ship, cause my main ship is Merwin, but lord in heaven was the Hartwin strong in this movie. So, uh. Guys, guys, mixed signals here. XD

(Which is why I just figure he’s bi. Or pan. Or somewhere around there in the inbetween. XD)

That said, I didn’t stay unsure for long. Mostly because, well, A. the idiots already fridged one of our strong ladies because wtf (and she’s not dead, dammit, I refuse), so I am going to happily embrace Tilde for the wonderful lady she is- and she is a strong woman in her own right, as we know from TSS. B. I was insanely happy that if they were going to pair Eggsy off with a lady, at least it wasn’t Roxy, because good lord no please no. By which I mean, with no disrespect towards people who ship Roxy/Eggsy, they are my NOTP/BROTP, and I just. No. Let Roxy and Eggsy have their broship, pls. C. I was actually really happy to see her back as more than just a sex joke. Which I know a lot of people tried to reduce her to one in TSS, and just. No. D. Poly ships. I love me some poly ships, because I wholeheartedly believe the human heart can love more than one person, so yeah, okay Eggsy loves Tilde. Got it. Doesn’t mean he can’t still love Harry, or Merlin, or anyone else. Embrace the poly ships! I do!

So. My doubts were soothed, and I dived happily into accepting Tilde and her relationship with Eggsy. Which brings me to your concerns.

I’m going to hit the ‘drug user’ bit first. Which is a big issue, and a sticky one. Now I say this as someone who, until this year, had never touched any drugs ever. Which, I broke my record this year, once, because it’s one possible treatment for some of my health issues, and when I tried it, I just went. Eh, this does nothing, whatever, I’m good, thanks anyway. So I have no connection to drugs, or affinity for them. But I’m a firm believer in the freedom of choice, especially when it comes to a person’s own body, and one of my beliefs is that the government really needs to butt out of trying to control what people do with their own bodies. Which means I’m actually pro legalization of drugs. Which was really kind of odd/funny, because I agreed with some of the things Poppy said in the movie. Which sounds a lot worse than I mean, haha.

It’s. Kind of a point, in the movie. Poppy is, of course, a psychopath and completely in the wrong with everything she was doing, but. She wasn’t wrong about some of the things she said. Like, the commentary she makes to Charlie, re: sugar vs cocaine. It’s also kind of a big thing if you look at Fox: she argues with Not!Trump about how not all drug users are the bad criminal types people stereotypically associate with drugs. Fox makes the rather poignant point that she uses whatever it is she uses to help her get through life, because frankly, working for Not!Trump is a nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Champ makes the point too, and Ginger, when they talk about Tequila; he’s a good man, a good Statesman, he just has a bit of a wild side. Additionally, if you read the book, it very poignantly hits on the people who use drugs medicinally, to deal with things like cancer and mental health issues, but who are affected by the Blue Rash because of where they got their medicine from. And let me tell you, that was a point that hit kind of hard in my house, because none of us are neurotypical, and if our doctor prescribed it to use, marijuana could actually be a medicine for some of us. And we are, ironically, in Kentucky, not even two hours away from Louisville where the Statesman are based, and bills to legalize medicinal marijuana have been proposed here as recently as January of this year.

So what I mean by that long ass paragraph is. Being a drug user isn’t necessarily a bad thing. And that’s a point that is specifically raised in the narrative in the movie. Because yeah, Poppy is fucking batshit crazy, but her end goal of legalizing drugs? Isn’t batshit crazy. Which is why Not!Trump and Whiskey end up firmly in the Bad Guy camp, because they’re willing to condemn billions of people to death for something that’s not necessarily bad.

So does Tilde use drugs in TGC? Yes, of course, she gets the blue rash. We see her light up. Am I going to condemn her for that? No. She smokes something in a moment when she is under extreme stress and upset. That’s her choice, for her body. And that single use isn’t enough to show us if she uses it irresponsibly, or if she’s out of control with it. I’d actually assume that if she was out of control in her drug usage, Eggsy wouldn’t be with her. As he points out, he grew up in a place where drugs destroyed lives; I highly doubt he would be with someone who was destroying their life with drugs. I’ll also point out that he doesn’t actually seem concerned with her usage. He’s scared as hell that she has the disease, but he never condemns her usage or seems against it.

Alright. So the manipulating him into proposing bit. Hoo boy. I understand where you’re coming from. It was a thought I had in the theatre myself, while watching the first time. However, after a lot of thought, I don’t think that’s what’s going on here.

I’ll say flat out; I think that bit is a bit of shoddy writing. I think it was unnecessary, and that it should have logically been something Eggsy and Tilde would have already discussed, considering that honeypots are something they were trained on during training. They were told to get to know Lady Sophie biblically, remember? Which, yeah, turned out to be a ruse for the train test, but it was definitely something they were trained for.

But, the fact that I think it’s shoddy writing aside; it has been pointed out to me, when I was pondering it, that it could very likely be something they hadn’t discussed yet because their relationship, while almost a year along in TGC, had kind of a jump start with both of them suffering from. Issues. You know, being held captive, having just lost his mentor, and they kind of jumped into it headlong, and probably missed some big discussions that they should have had, but didn’t. So we’re looking at this as;

Tilde doesn’t know that honeypots are a thing Eggsy might be expected to do. Clearly, they haven’t talked about it. All she knows is that, this man that she loves, who clearly loves her, is suddenly telling her that he needs to sleep with another woman. And that’s a Big Thing to have suddenly thrown on your plate, especially when it’s a situation of “I need an answer right this moment, fate of the world depends on it.” So it’s pretty damn understandable that Tilde is thrown for a huge loop by it all. She’s shocked, surprised, and definitely feeling hurt. And here’s Eggsy, telling her he wants to spend the rest of his life with her- which in any other situation could easily be a proposal. And, in the confused, hurried, disarray of emotions she’s dealing with- she’s not pressuring him to propose, I think it’s pretty clear that she thinks that might actually be what’s happening.

So here you’ve got both of them super stressed and freaked out and confused. Eggsy’s stressed as fuck about it, doesn’t want to have sex with Clara, but is asking anyway, cause the world is kind of at stake, and he kind of accidentally almost proposes. Tilde is stressed as fuck, and hurt by this sudden request, and confused, and she thinks he might have just proposed, but she’s not sure, because wtf, and. And then Eggsy’s backpedaling, because shit, shit, shit, public figure, and fuck. (And, one of the things that I liked in the book, is that you get more of Tilde’s POV here, because she’s struggled with being the Crown Princess all her life, and now it feels like Eggsy is rejecting her because of her being the Crown Princess.) Confusion and hurt abounds on both sides of that conversation. And if you pay attention.

Eggsy says they need to sit down and Talk about this. Later. Tilde is upset, but gives a (somewhat understandably bitter) okay, and walks away for the moment. And it’s pretty clear that they’ve both made mistakes here. And that they both greatly care for each other, because otherwise they wouldn’t be that hurt.

And. Yeah. It’s this whole huge convoluted ball of fucked up emotions and mistakes and they should have talked about this already, but because writing, they hadn’t, so it all comes out fucked up and misunderstood. But I don’t see any of it as Tilde forcing Eggsy to propose. She’s thinks he has, and then surprise, no, not really, and where do they go from a misunderstanding like that?

Which leads into Tilde forcing him to be a prince/kept boy, and forcing him out of a career he loves. And. I’mma say one thing here, first off, because. Kingsman.

There ain’t no way, ‘prince’ or not, that Eggsy’s going to stop being a Kingsman. That’s definitely not the way things work in the Kingsman world. And I think Vaughn is smart enough to know we would freaking riot if he even tried that. XD I mean. We talked Harry back to life from a headshot, we can talk Eggsy into still being a spy even while being a prince, haha.

That out of the way- Tilde in no way forces Eggsy to become a prince, or a ‘kept boy.’ Let’s give Eggsy more credit than that. If he didn’t want to marry Tilde, if he didn’t want to be with her, he wouldn’t. Eggsy very clearly loves her, tells her flat out that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. And yeah, okay, becoming the future queen’s consort is probably going to cause some issues with Kingsman- but he makes that choice. Saying that Tilde forces him into it just… makes me think of the people who tried to say that Eggsy forced her to have sex with him at the end of TSS. Which, frankly, is ludicrous. At the end of TSS, Tilde is clearly very happy to propose sex with him. And at the end of TGC, Eggsy is clearly very happy to be marrying Tilde.

And that. Was a lot of tl;dr, haha. Hopefully tl;dr that makes sense, and isn’t too rambly. But. I have a hella lot of feels about this, and have put a lot of thought into it. I really love Tilde, and I have come to love her relationship with Eggsy. (And I love my poly ships that include her.) And I really would love to see more of fandom embrace her and it, but that’s of course going to be up to individual preferences. It might be some people’s NOTP, and that’s alright. I have my own NOTPs in this fandom. And you know what? I co-exist with them. I block tags and posts if I need to, and I just try not to comment on them, because live and let live. This fandom is such an open and welcoming one, and I hope it stays that way.
