Arguing with Marshall Mathers - Headcanon

Here is how I imagine he is during an argument 🙊. Please tell me what you think, what you’d add… I’m curious 👀

What he argues about

- Let me preface this by saying that this man almost enjoys arguing and fighting when he is in a relationship. He said it himself : he is a little more happy when he is angry.

- He actually bitches a lot. And sometimes, it turns into an argument.

- He is also extremely emotional. He might not always look like it but he actually has a deep emotional range and some things hit him hard.

- Basically, he feels a lot, and sometimes, it overflows.

- He is also really passionate about certain topics and issues.

- Marshall might be the wet dream of many, he is not that easy to put up with.

- Sometimes, silly things can become arguments. That’s one of his many talents : making things more dramatic.

- Deep down, he is not the most confident human being and he has a hard time dealing with criticism.

- His first instinct is to get defensive, before getting offensive.

- Arguing with him is not all bad though. Because that’s one of the ways he shows he cares. He will not waste time arguing if he doesn’t care about the person in front of him or the subject matter.

- So if the two of you argue about your relationship (within healthy boundaries of course) it’s actually a good sign.

- If he didn’t want things to work out, he wouldn’t spent time arguing with you.

- He is, admittedly, not the best when it comes to dating and relationships so that might fuel an argument or two.

- He is a workaholic so a couple of fights about his schedule and priorities wouldn’t be surprising if it interferes with your relationship (bailing on you, last minute changes of plans, him being not focused on you enough…)

How he is when he argues

- Marshall is definitely petty and loves to have the last word.

- We all know he has a way with words and he knows exactly what buttons to push to make you mad.

- If he is extremely angry, he might be hurtful, too. Only with his words, though.

- He will never hit you or get physical during an argument. Roughhousing is only ok in the bedroom.

- He has been abusive in the past but that’s not who he is anymore.

- Sometimes, though, you wish he would just hit you in the face because it would hurt less than some of the words he uses.

- Usually, though, he doesn’t actually want to hurt you and regrets his harsh words.

- He is good at using hurtful words but he rarely, if ever, insults you.

- He doesn’t mind if you insult him though. Call him an asshole all you want. If anything, it proves he managed to get on your nerves and he likes it.

- During arguments, he actually wants to feel seen and heard. He wants to know he impacts you.

- One way to get back at him (that he absolutely hates) is giving him the silent treatment. It makes him mad.

- He’d rather have you yell at him than ignore him.

- Basically, in his mind, arguing is caring.

- He also secretly likes it when you get just as petty as him.

- You swear he sees pettiness as a sport.

- Some petty ideas to get to him include

- Having a designated “Fuck You Marshall” playlist you blast around the house when you’re mad at him.

- Said playlist would include music by artists he has a feud with, diss tracks aimed at him… 👀. And some music he hates, too.

- Another way to really piss him off would be to talk ill of the Lions 🦁

- « I hate you and the Lions suck. I’m glad the 49ers won that game ! »

- Anything light and petty is fair game.

- To be honest, he would probably find it hilarious and laugh about it afterwards.

- However there are some things you better not bring up during an argument because that will escalate very, very quickly.

- His family. You better leave his kids and his brother alone.

- If you have kids together, do not weaponize them against him. Don’t be toxic like that. Because he will not let you live it down.

- His past mistakes (abusive relationship, drug use…)

- He gets frustrated when he doesn’t manage to get his point across.

- During an argument, he is brutally honest with his feelings. No sugarcoating it.

- I can absolutely imagine him saying he loves you for the first time during an argument. He doesn’t mean to say it now but lets it slip.

- Safe to say that it puts an immediate end to the whole thing.

- (Now I want to write a one shot about this 🙈)

- He will absolutely annoy you on purpose.

- He is in his fifties but his inner annoying teenager comes out during an argument : rolling his eyes, sighing…

- There’s occasional yelling but not that much.

- If the argument is one-sided and you’re mad at him, he will absolutely try to make you laugh.

After an argument

- He doesn’t apologize easily. However, he knows when he is wrong.

- Oftentimes, he is better at showing you that he is sorry, rather than actually tell you.

- He will absolutely make it up to you with tons of attention and physical gestures.

- He might try to suck up to you with small gestures like a bouquet of flowers

- He is definitely into make up sex.

- Maybe that’s one of the reasons why he loves to argue so much.

- Overall, physical affection is a must in your relationship, especially after an argument. He needs it to feel that everything is ok between the two of you.

- Your arguments/fights might fuel his creativity. That’s the most efficient way for him to process things.

- However, you can and should expect him to take some creative liberties. He is going to make things seem bigger and more dramatic.

- Out of the two of you, he is probably the biggest drama queen 👀

this thing has had it in mind for like forever that it should probably pin down what it's looking for, because as much as it likes to repeat 'this thing needs to be owned' that is still a little bit vague.

on one level, it's accurate, but there's like several layers underneath it and to be honest a lot more nuanced than that. like it wants someone to take responsibility for it, but also this thing's miscellany of kinks covers what might be affectionately considered a shit-ton of ground, it wouldn't expect a single owner to engage in all of that stuff with it, but they'd have to be capable of interacting with its wide range of kinks without freaking out. it has to be able to be honest about all of itself and its kinks, all its parts and particulars.

at the moment this thing is living in chastity and 24/7 diapers. it has a thriving little side that we enjoy indulging. it's playing a lot with masochism, mostly impact and electricity, but it wants to get into sharps: blades and needles and blood. it is beginning to get a little gross with its horniness despite being largely asexual because of its chastity. it wants to be a bondage bunny so bad, it wants to do artistic bondage porn and has since it was in its 20s. it also wants to make tickling videos. it also wants to do hypno porn. it wants to be a brainwashed drone. it wants to be a toy and a doll. it wants to play with so much that it's sure there's something it posts about regularly that it can't remember right now to add to this list.

and for the most part it wants regular play partners. it wants a mistress and a dominant, a sadist, a mommy or a caregiver, a hypnotist, a rigger, an owner. it wants relationships with those folks, but it wants those relationships to start with play. it wants regularlity and reliability and commitment and to know that its relationships are born out of having fun with each other. that whatever other interests we share, our relationship starts with kink and that's our regular dynamic. it enjoys the bits of play it gets for the needs it meets, but it really wants things to grow and develop beyond the surface level.

2024 January Media Post Thingy

i dont post on tumblr.com a whole lot i mostly just love to reblog but i wanna see if this novelty thing sticks because for like 2020-2022 i had like a text file i did that i stopped doing in 2023 or so for like video games in particular and i unno it was fun but i got distracted cus half that month i was doing retail anything special happen this year yet? not especially, but since soon ill be very busy with something that IS indeed special, and my bday, i may as well make a post now bc i feel like i will be preoccupied for the first good bit of febuary personally ( exciting life stuff ! ) last disclaimer is that at some point i would want to add movies and shows to this list when i get around to it , but for me december and january've kinda blended in that regard.. me and my friends watched Wonka recently and i was kinda so-so on that just cus' i think the original movies a certain way i guess. oops. i think there were other movies/ shows too and comics as well but once again, december-january blurr for me. Furthermore, any piece of media i pick out for this will also have a completely arbitrary doc-ism secondary title just because i feel like it. Enjoy! VIDEO GAMES! ! MARIO GALAXY 2 < SECOND ROUNDEST MARIO GAME >

I wanna say i spent from the first of january to the third on this game, but my Wii Menu calendar is a little fucked up....

Whoops! Regardless, i do have a bit of a background of not completely " gel-ing " with the original Mario Galaxy gameplay wise in my own friendgroup, to mostly dismayed reactions n junk. In short, i think artistically the game's merits are absolutely fantastic, but since i played it on the switch 3d mario collection some time after sunshine, i do think the control scheme is overall pretty limited, and that does apply to mario galaxy 2, i guess, but methodically, i think playing this game on a wiimote does make the limitation feel i guess more fair in terms of like camera control and deliberacy n stuff... the galaxy games and presentation are completely amazing works of art obviously and theres some good music here but i think between galaxy 1 and 2 i definitely prefer 2 mechanically. i enjoy the level scenarios more thats primarily it, i think. I'm so-and-so on how comets work and how many stars you need to get to get to the end ( I think how comets spawn is a little filler-ey and waiting for them to appear in a level i don't know it'll appear in was a little obtuse to figure out, even if i did eventually manage it and actually enjoy the challenges they offer. its mostly just really annoying comet spawning mechanics that were a drag. a very deliberately- controlling mario i guess and being more familiar with galaxy's control probably was why i was able to enjoy this one more ? Yay! I think i still enjoy 3d world more then this and most other 3D marios, though. It's a good video game and i liked the boss fights in it, theyre surprisingly cool and dynamic for what i'm used to from the mario series. I didn't do the special world, though. i wasn't compelled to go that far past the credits. ( You'd think this game's doc-ism title would come from it being the sequel to mario galaxy, and thus, second roundest, but honestly, i think in terms of the mario series scale, Mario Pinball Land has round mario in it, and galaxy 2's starship mario is definitely, i think, rounder then the comet observatory from galaxy one. That makes Mario Galaxy the third-roundest mario game! )

From around the 6th to the 13th, I ended up playing --- ACTRAISER RENAISSANCE < THE CEREAL-BOX GOD GAME >

actraiser is definitely a mixed video game for me, because i definitely see the merit in it. It's a very unconventional splicing of both sidescrolling and city-development game, a " remake " of a novel SNES/Famicom game with the same premise. You're like a big god of light guy who sends your soul into this little warrior guy who cleanses the land of monsters for around 6 different settlements to florish in with the assistance of a cute little angel friend and whatever area's flavor of local legend the game gives you after a story event or two to hold down the place from encroaching monster dens and such; and, apparently exclusive to this version, there's also little tower-defense segments that come in waves around four or five times per area, which in my opinion are kind of this game's weakest link, but not without like Some kind of merit. At the end of each town segment, there is also a big boss fight, usually tying into the story in some way.

( I think one of the things that genuinely pushed me to give the game a try was the cute angel design in it..... ) (I usually take an excessive number of screenshots whenever i'm playing on switch, just because doing so is very easy and i'm a sentimental freak ( For actraiser R, this is 148 screenshots ) ) ( If i continue doing this next month, i'll try to include the foresight to actually use my capture card for images, instead of taking pictures with my phone.. ) ( I think one of the things that genuinely pushed me to give the game a try was the cute angel design in it..... ) (I usually take an excessive number of screenshots whenever i'm playing on switch, just because doing so is very easy and i'm a sentimental freak ( For actraiser R, this is 148 screenshots ) ) ( If i continue doing this next month, i'll try to include the foresight to actually use my capture card for images, instead of taking pictures with my phone.. ) Some things i like that this game does, alot ---

i think it has a very very cool " world select " map. one very postive thing is that it updates in real time with your progress in the area, so you can watch it all expand from your little sky palace once you've done your buisness there. it's really satisfying and pretty... this game's got really good 2d art, i think. I've heard people be mixed on the sidescroller art in comparison, but i think it's got a charm to it. I think it's cute and while its probably more a budgetary limitation, i do like how everything kind of looks like one of those fantasy stills you can sometimes buy from arts and crafts stores. The framerate on them is like a bit lower then what you'd expect from a modern game but mechanically its still very responsive, which makes me feel like it's a stylistic choice to look more stop-motioney, i guess. Maybe im just a fan of ham, i unno.

In terms of the overhead segments, it's pretty basic and automated, which is fine by me, and perfectly workable for what it is, i think, conceptually ( they build out on your own but you do kind of " guide their hand " when it comes to where paths go, at least. It does lead to a weird meta thing being to zap your own people with holy lightning to destroy stuff you don't want though, which feels flavorfully odd for a benevolent god.... I guess it's fair enough

the main problem with the game is that the tower defense segments, the main major feature and addition of this remake, does kind of take the game's pacing and drop flat in the middle of it. They're usually decently long segments where you can only indirectly fight, and are kind of slow. They also usually need you to protect or have a certain number of buildings left by the end of it ( having all of your farms in tact by the end, defending the main temple, not having every house burned down ) which can be a bit more difficult then it sounds. i dont think the segments are bad or anything, there's just.... entirely too many of them??? like mechanically theyre fine they just happen every other second between story events and it feels kind of padded after like the second one in one area, and there's about 5 per area of increasing difficulty. i definitely think if anything could be reined back, it'd be that. I don't think the story is too special , either, the angel kind of just quips sassily about the story at you from time to time and your followers make requests of you at the temple, usually manifesting in the town segements as " have x number of y " or getting the population to a set threshold, or getting x number of resources. The structure of each area isn't shaken up too much, mostly just " new settlement, find a guy, guy isnt so sure about this lord of light guy but through fighting alongside u and some small character arch, they become a champion of yours or something and you meet the scary boss guy and kill them and weaken the big bad dark lords forces behind it all, but there were two segments i liked, both pretty late-game, with the ice wyvern and this guy named shemall whose only affront to you is having a more popular humanitarian ideology ( who actually becomes the dominant ideology in the segment leaving the church literally empty for a good portion of it , and is only tied into the status quo by the dark lord himself possessing the other temple and shit and starting a really really bad storm of eeevil , who i like a bit ) and a boss in the last area who was implied to once be a force of good but ultimately subservient to the bad guys will, which is basic but i tihnk neat. also they have cool designs. )

Shrug! I think it's neat but it has problems that bog it down! Waah! i dont regret playing it or anything but it's like a 7! ( It's kind of like a game you'd get in one of those cereal boxes, and it's a little cheap, but its endearing to me ? ) TOREE 3D < LEAST-CONSEQUENCIAL SPOILER AWARD >

finished this game the same day i finished actraiser, in one sitting. Ummm... i know this game's like a crowd favorite, and it's, like, solid, but i don't really have all that much to say about it ..... Like, it's an OK platformer, with like really great value for your dollar, but i don't really have all that much to say about it, endearment-wise. I think also that the VHS horror elements are largely unnecessary and are kind of whatever, but I know i'm not really the audience for it. That's the spoiler, i guess. Around the same time, in a date range I don't remember, I basically ended up completely reorganizing my room for Life Stuff, and ended up giving a really cool fan project a try, from a series i've always wanted to try more of, if not for the language barrier, in the form of -- STARFY ORIGINS ( Densetsu no Stafy ) < SPLASHABLE VIDEO GAME >

Waaaaaaaa ! i love starfy ( Stafy? ) You probably wouldn't have the background on it unless you knew me, but i'm a real DS head, and one of my earliest games on the system, one i have vivid memories with, was The Legendary Starfy, an " underwater platformer ", mostly known as being a kirby-like game in style, and being the last entry in a mostly untranslated series of platformers that're japanese-exclusive!

Essentially, what this means for me was that there was , for a very long portion of my kid-years, a bunch of video games out there that i knew i'd be instantly endeared by if ONLY i could play them ( since, even at the time, gba emulation for me was kind of mystical and out of my ability ) ; and , at least in my mind, that meant it'd have just as many lovable characters and such as the the starfy I got to play, anecdotaly meaning the only exposure i'd have to these games beforehand is ferverously looking up stuff on the starfy wiki and watching youtube videos of the final bosses and stuff; basically just lementing for years that " aww,, theres no translation. i guess it's just too obscure " with the rest of the starfy fans i've heard about online, until recently! I emulated this game on Vita and overall i'd just have to say its a cute, decently-novel-but-slightly-padded 2d sidescroller. I'd say it was like ok-levels of worth the wait, but im honestly just floored that a translation of the first game happened at all, and i think its awesome what's been done. It's selfish to want, but i'd really like to try the other DS starfy game sometime, whenever that's translated. It's honestly one of the few loose-end games i can even think of and mechanically that one's a whole lot more out there then this one, which, other then the novelty of playing this game i've only heard murmurs of for over a decade, is just kind of alright. kudos to the fan translators making this game work out!!! I wonder if the team that did this have plans for the others now that this game's been translated....

Cool bullethell shmup with really tight gameplay my friend endeared me to with a single screenshot and a slightly empassioned ramble i forget the exact context of

idk i think this green girl is neat and the arcade style bullethell gameplay's really fun on steam deck; i just think the girls should be like 7 years older each then what the game says because the loli aspects of this game are kind of uncomfortable and unavoidable and i don't like them at all... the gothic horror halloween aestetic the game has otherwise absolutely rocks and is just up my alley, though. i guess its just part of the style theyre going for, but it's a really unfortunate Japanese quirk you kind of have to just tolerate for the other Very Good aspects the game has gameplay and artisticly wise ( music and art direction is awesome )

Another game my friend reccomended whicch is completely awwesome and my entire aestetic and i love it alot and i think its my game of the year unless something else comes around and im absolutely floored with it and i went into it completely endeared and its completely wrecked my vernacular and its so pretty and its so artistic and its so different and its so pretty and its so girl and its so gay and im Elise and im in the woods i like being in the woods this game has the best aestetic of any game ive played ever and it feels like no competition and ummmmmmmmmmm

i like ummmm Lebkuchen by the way. if u wanna know what my ending is. there is some fucked up shit that happens in this game though despite how absolutely adorable it looks. everything in this game points to it being one of my favorites of all time or at the very least it will definitely poison my brain forever at the expense of my friends who havent played it yet. really cool open-world emerald rom hack, similar to crystal clear and the like. I've technically played it already, but this is the first time i've completed it, though i completely broke the game really early into it that undermined it in a way i didnt realize for about 7 gyms, before i accidentally nuked the overworld with a massive bug that scrambled my player's gender and made the overworld color pallete fuck-ey, which, im not ggoing tto blame the developer on, i'm summing that up to a cosmic ray or something. i think with time and with more polish i could see myself liking this more then crystal clear, but time'll see. MIGHTY GUNVOLT < tie in video game i've ever played >

typing this like an hour ins making me realize this docism thing might not stick but mighty gunvolt is neat i guess i never finished it when i first played gunvolt and obsessed over that when it was new ( Mighty gunvolt came as a free download if you bought the first game digitally, you see ) because of the first boss, but now as a more experienced gamer, that's really just because the fire boss is kind of just a weird difficulty spike at the start that the rest of the game difficulty wise doesnt really match up to. It's a cute, very short ( i beat all 3 character campaigns in two hours , liesurely ) platformer styled like megaman, and that's all it really needed to be at the time. i wouldnt go out of my way to play it these days if it wasnt for my own baggage with the gunvolt series in general, and if it wasnt for my much greater affection for its sequel, mighty gunvolt burst.... I'm just gonna say if this game interests you , you really should just play burst instead. Surprisingly, this game's on alot of platforms? I just kind of chose it on a whim 'cus it was on the top of the list of H-SHOP stuff and i was looking for something short to play, but it's pretty artsy.

It's a puzzle-platformer where the gimick is that the ball wraps around the screen when you fall down or up, which works really well with the 3ds in my opinion. with the compression and stuff on the 3ds and how the game was laid out, it affectionately reminds me of a flash game you'd find on coolmath or the such, and its very relaxed ( if a little wonky ) . i dont have anything bad to say on it or anything its just a small little game i played on a whim. it's very minimalistic, if you're into that aestetic, you might like this. That's the last of the wholy " new " stuff i finished this month, and id say overall its a solid start for me, and kind of out of season ( very octobery-feeling game lineup in retrospect..! But that month's always usually crowded with obligations and stuff, so i doubt i'd be in a mood for them even at that time of year.. )

Also, i gave a try to cavestory on wiiware, first time i've played the game in a few years now since the switch rerelease! I think its just as fun as i found it when i first discovered it on 3ds, and, while i have a friend who adamantly disagrees, i actually really do like the OST of this version. It's a cute mutation on the games ost that in my opinion enhances the kind of forelorn vibe the game originally had, and i really like the blown up art of this version of cave story, even if it does have nichalis's hands all up in the matter. since it's unlocked from the start, i played the game on Curly Story till the true ending. I still love this game alot. Sometime i'll trick a certain individual into finishing it, i hope.

i am an absolute enjoyer of films or really any media as a matter of fact. some of my favourite films include, 500 days of summer, call me by your name, the perks of being a wallflower, and ladybird. as you can tell from this variety im a sucker for soppy sad films which will probably make me cry and send me into a pit of despair! but its okay thats what makes watching them fun. in a way i think i live vicariously through them.

TV SHOWS

i also indulge in many tv shows as well, my favourite being the big bang theory, but a close runner up is gossip girl. i love making notes on the things i watch as well. currently im watching yellowjackets and i love writing down the things i notice and my predictions for the directions itll take in upcoming episodes.

MUSIC

another one of my many hobbies includes reading (highly intellectual i must say). my favourite book is ill give you the sun by jandy nelson because it never fails to hit emotionally, currently i have about 50 books sitting on my "to be read" shelf as any avid reader would, and i keep saying ill get onto them eventually, knowing that ill probably just keep buying books and adding to the everylasting pile.

ART

i draw well i'd like to say. i took art gcse and it did infact make me want to jump because of my god awful teacher but its okay we got through it (A* in the end so it was worth it) however if im up for it i may or may not share some of my artwork for the world to enjoy.

NICHE INTERESTS

pride and prejudice and zombies. one of the MOST amazing parodies of a film ive EVER seen. it was so so so good and the sillyness of it made it 10x better. seeing lily james fight zombies with a sword and being badass may have increased my straight factor. crochet, i can do that. its so fun and i love making little animal plushes to collect for myself, it really fills me with joy sonic the hedgehog, i love that blue little thing he makes me so happy and i love the entire franchise. my favourite character being tails because 7 year old me made a decision and had to stick with it, probably because having 2 tails was cool to me for some reason (talk about being woke) pokemon, ive probably grown up watching every single series of pokemon to exist, and played many of the games via emulators since i never had my own ds :(. but at one point i had the entire pokedex memorised. (not anymore tho sadly) but i am eager to get back into it.

qilyrr (drow warlock, she/her) was my first ea oc and still my main one. i've gotten farthest with her in the game. she's true neutral, not actively malicious but she is selfish and sometimes cruel and loves tricking/lying to/fucking with people. she hasnt lived in the underdark for years (as a con artist, she likes to work in bigger cities topside) but has a lot of fondness for it when she returns. she's romancing astarion.

maevan (halfling barbarian, she/they) is a competent ex-soldier who was at some point cursed(?) with wild magic. she's normally kind of shy except while in battle during her rages.

im waiting til I finish the campaign at least once before i play my dark urge oc, klixic (dragonborn sorcerer, she/he) so i have like nothing on him yet.

givni (half orc monk, she/her) is my nicest and most trusting oc of the lot, so she's gonna have fun with all her companions lmao. so far i plan to have her romance halsin but may do a poly romance with her if she vibes with any of the poly options.

vykon (githyanki ranger, they/him) has like no personality yet except that they like animals more than people.

grudore (duergar bard, she/her) is mainly just vibes right now. tough, intense and ambitious. and is probably gonna hate volo tbh. i plan for her to romance lae'zel.

retribution (tiefling paladin, they/them) is up in the air rn bc i designed them not realizing how similar they'd be to karlach's design (color scheme, hair highlights, etc). so i may redesign them. but for now they're very serious and very devoted to their oath of vengeance. they also have a strong sense of justice which can kind of conflict with their oath. was thinking of them romancing wyll.

spili (gnome druid, she/they/he) is also pretty undefined. don't have much on them.

and as for my two other ocs ive made since and actually have more of an idea about compared to some of the others

corinne (human cleric, noble, she/her) is well meaning but tends to be judgmental and stubborn in her worldview and is definitely gonna clash with shadowheart (also bc she's a cleric of selûne). idk if they'll eventually bridge the gap or not. she's gonna romance gale.

fer'ru (githyanki rogue, urchin, she/her) is a bit less harsh than lae'zel and also had a less regimented background but i still need to figure out exactly what her backstory is that will fit with githyanki lore. she is gonna romance shadowheart.

8 | what's the most fun and the least fun parts about your process

i love doing line art (which may be surprising, considering how little i do it nowadays LOL). i think its really fun to finally watch everything come together and to refine the sketch!! i barely enjoy it more than sketching though, they're pretty tied to me.

least favorite part... probably shading. ive never been very good at understanding what parts of the body will be hit by light, no matter how many observation and life drawing classes ive taken lol. i love shading a still life! but when it comes to the human form, not so much 😭 i cannot explain how many drawings ive done, like, three layers of shading, took a step back, then deleted every layer and posted it as flat colors instead because i hated it LMAO

2 | what's your favorite thing about your style

ohhh thats hard. i really like my art in general, honestly? i dont think im a fantastic artist, but i do think its clear that i like. went. to school for it bhbjfdghjbdfjh im proud of my art!! i really like drawing noses i guess and i think my style works well for good variation there? i still need to practice more types of noses, but i think im already doing well, so ill say that! the noses.

3 | what's your least favorite thing about your style

very small thing but EARS. I HATE HOW I DRAW EARS but i also dont know how to draw them BETTER ? i used to just never draw them. then i used to do them more detailed, but it always just looked... odd. i think it looks better without the extra details because i always did it weird, but it still looks goofy. its such a small thing though that i dont know that anyone else would ever even notice LMAO also! jawlines. my style very much favors a round soft jawline, which is obviously my default (stares at my art and tries not to think about same face syndrome), but then i try and do a sharper jawline and feel like im dying LOL im trying to get better at that though, because i want more facial diversity in my art. scary and veronica marlowe i just know you have sharp fuckin faces and im trying to get better at showing this aspect of you every day

WARM COLORS!!! orange is my favorite color! i love warm colors! i tend to use a mix of both in my art though, i like the way warm tones and cool tones balance each other out :]

Q: Please tell us about yourself!

A: I'm Sky, a disabled queer creator who uses my art to try and pay my medical bills. When I'm not drawing, I'm usually playing games or roleplaying. I love exploring characters in-depth through writing and art. I love working with color, lighting, anatomy, and emotion in my art and I hope my work can connect with others in some way.

Q: Who are your favorite Persona 4 characters and why?

A: Adachi and Yu. Adachi is the main reason I even did anything with P4 in the first place lol. Yu grew on me throughout the game and I grew to love Adachi even more the more I learned about him and his motivations.

Q: Which Persona 4 characters do you find fun to draw and why?

A: I love playing around with Adachi the most since his characterization is one of my fave types to explore in both art and writing. I grew up in a boring small town as one of the smartest people in my class only for things to fall apart later in life. He’s relatable, and it’s fun to explore the extremes of how that could go bad creatively. Also, Yu is pretty lol.

Q: What are your favorite Persona 4 ships?

A: Adachi and Yu are my fandom bicycles so pretty much anything with them lol

Q: Which Arcana do you see yourself as?

A: Councilor. At first, I was telling myself not to go with that one because clearly I must just want my favorite character lol, but then I started reading up on it more and I felt like I connected to the meanings behind it. Since I’m usually the therapist friend and mediator in many situations, I've been told I'm good at debate and persuasive arguments. I’ve worked over a decade at researching and understanding mental illness and how people think, while working on my own issues too. My bad days can end up like the reversed: indecisive, insecure, etc. It just felt right in the end.

Q: What's your favorite trope?

A: Enemies to lovers, probably.

Q: Do you have a favorite Persona?

A: Not a favorite really, just ones I like a bit more than others.

Q: What made you want to become an artist?

A: My dad was an artist and that helped inspire me, and then I also got obsessed with Sailor Moon and the urge to make stuff for it pushed me to keep going lol.

Q: How did you get into the Persona series?

A: My wife instantly would bring it up so I got a bit of an interest but the length held me back. Then, Keith Silverstein was in P5 and I was finally convinced to check out a playthrough. I didn't properly get into the rest of the series til I got back into P5 cause of Maruki. After Royal, I started doing more with the series overall.

Q: What would you like to accomplish with your contribution to AOA zine?

A: I hope to make eye-catching pieces that everyone enjoys!

i go by they/she pronouns and i usually like to wear cutesy clothing with slight macabre themes (pills, syringes, bandages all that. look up yami kawaii for more stuffs) these can vary between pastel and somewhat gothic/scene. i am also 159 cm, if that accounts to anything.

my zodiac sign is aries and i am an intj with a 4w5 enneagram. as far as general personality type stuff goes, riamu yumemi and shin sato are pretty on the mark but i suppose i'm just not as open abt me being mentally ill than riamu is considering i just mask my emotions a lot of the time.

as far as my pet peeves go, i hate sudden loud noises or constantly loud noises as the latter gives me a migraine after awhile. slimy food textures and foods that trigger my gag reflex as well is a massive ick for me too. i also despise slow-paced tasks since they easily make me bored and then i get distracted to do something else

my favorites are relatively spread out, i don't consume much television or movies so it's pretty much games and music for me. i like rhythm games such as project sekai, bandori, and idolmaster and i like games that fall into the rpg genre like pokemon, omori, earthbound, yume nikki, etc. with this, i do quite enjoy visual novels too. as far as music goes, i like a lot of punk rock but sometimes i'll consume other genres (fav english song is love me dead by ludo and atm my fav jp song is shoujo rei by mikitop)

as far as musical artists go, it can vary quite a lot. my most notable ones are probably pepoyo, shinra-bansho, akatsuki records, mcr, and green day.

I think the problem with your relationship is that you sometimes stay away from long-term goals and he is sometimes overly obsessed. Because he wants the best for you, he wants his goals to be long-focused and you want him to relax and not be so hard on himself, which causes fights between you. But at the end of the day, because you realize that the things you fight for are the value you give yourself, you put your pride aside and make peace.

Some of the memories i imagine for you two: A long night spent together at the mall, secretly making funny faces and laughing together while choosing a meal, Renting an arcade saloon for you one night and playing arcade for you laughing together until the morning even though he normally cares about your and his sleep a lot, and "You're Slaying today too, my queen" words given to each other :D

thoughts on The Blog + 2024 year in reflection + next year goals

hi there, long time no talk. if you don't remember why you're following me, it's probably because i wrote a lot of mp100 fanfic like five years ago. i haven't posted much on this blog this year besides reblogging some fundraisers and i want to try and use this more. hope you're doing well!

i think i tend to be pretty precious about what i put on this blog, because in my mind i wanted it to be creative updates and art only, but more and more i realize that i really enjoy reading what artists i follow are up to and thinking about whether it's creative or not. so i want to try and post more casually too. sharing what im up to + occasional reblogs. i hope you enjoy that kind of stuff too.

2024 was pretty good for me. it was not quite what i thought it would be-- i had a few different goals at the beginning of the year that i ended up shifting on. i also cannot find my new year's resolutions from last year which is surprising because i pretty much always make them.

however, i made some general accomplishments that im pretty happy with, such as:

switching from misc freelance scrambling and part time work to a 40hr/week job, with way better pay

going to water aerobics twice a week fairly consistently, which is the first time i've consistently exercised maybe ever

taking my health more seriously in general

finishing a rough draft of a comic script (which i then put aside, due to next accomplishment)

finally dipping my toes into game dev which i have always wanted to try but was always too scared to

cutting way back on social media usage and being stricter with how much time i spend on my phone

generally Putting Myself Out There more and making friends in da city

so i'm pretty pleased. however, as i think at the end of every year, i still feel my creative output is not what i wanted it to be. admittedly i did draw more than i have in a while. i worked on several projects and got a few things off the ground. but not much i feel i can share. i feel like i consistently did more, but my output was just very slow. this is partly from working on larger projects and things that are time consuming, but man, i want to prioritize this stuff more.

i also find that i am struggling a bit about what i want to be working on creatively. i have ideas but everything's a bit half formed. i think this year i've unearthed some insecurities about the quality of my work and ideas-- i think previously i just told myself that if i sat down and did stuff i would be a savant, i just hadn't gotten around to it yet. this was definitely just from a fear of failure. ok, so i did sit down and do some stuff and it was kind of just ok-- at least to me. what now?

so, i need more time to work on stuff and i need to develop my Artistic Voice or whatever. point one is a bit easier to find a solution for, even if it's scary- im planning to cut back my work hours in the new years and set aside fridays for personal project time only. this is mostly stressful because everything on earth is only getting more expensive but i think i just need to do this. if i don't i will always wonder what if.

...point two is vaguer. how do you develop an artistic vision and goal? admittedly, i think i put way too much pressure on myself to have consistent creative styles and interests. but at the same time, out of all the things i love, there has to be something im drawn to creatively, right? even if i haven't realized it yet? besides anime fanfic epics?

well, probably just in the doing things will emerge. i'll focus on that for now. this seems like a similar question to high schoolers asking how you get an Art Style, and not realizing that's just something that naturally emerges when you draw a lot. you can certainly point it in certain directions, but it won't settle and be yours unless you do it a lot.

okay, what else. i have some other personal goals i won't share here, but one more i WILL share here is i think in 2025 i really want to engage with less passive media. i love to put on a youtube video essay and play a game on my phone. lots of half attention to things that don't deserve my whole attention. i think that's ok sometimes to relax and unwind, but i feel like i missed out on so many cool stories by doing that. i feel good about this goal because it's less about Reading Twenty Five Books This Year Because That's Good For Me and more about experiencing stories because i want that.

this year i read stone butch blues and i remember thinking at the end of it, why am i not reading things like this all the time? why am i not devoting myself to experiencing beautiful works of art? why am i more likely to put on ten hour let's play of a mediocre PS2 game that no one has ever heard of than to watch a two hour classic movie that will emotionally resonate and maybe change my life?

...well, it's partially because that gets emotionally exhausting. it's ok to chill out some. but i don't want to pacify myself all the time. i need to think about how to make this a Measurable Goal or whatever, but i'm excited about it.

i think that's all i will put here. i hope you have a good new year's and that 2024 wasn't too painful for you. i feel as though most of the internet was cruel and disheartening this year- endless windows into the worst of humanity. things that were painful to read, while also knowing they would be thousand and thousands time worse to experience. even so, i saw a lot of kindness too-- people reaching out to help, and the generosity of my friends and family. i hope you saw some of that too. here's to 2025.

as much as he's the antagonist he's also an obsessive villain. he is morally reprehensible and has very askew views on life. i will not water him down nor justify his actions. akutagawa is someone that is trying to learn to love life instead of hating it, ultimately his story is that of tragedy, not redemption.

your character is welcome to hate him, question him and challenge his beliefs however please keep it to IC. Any OOC bashing on his character won't be tolerated. I'm all up for character discussion but there's a line between discussing and actively bashing

If you could go back to school, would you? I'm in school! I actually had to drop out for several long years due to chronic illness. I had to move to find a school willing to provide accommodations, but I got started again with online classes almost three years ago. Now, I'm finally (finally!!), wrapping up my last subject for upper secondary school, which qualifies me for higher education. I literally sent in my application for art school last night<3 Everything is terrifying but also exciting but also terrifying but also there's no other way but forward, so.

can you parallel park? nope, I can't drive.

a job you had that would surprise people? Have not had any jobs.

do you think aliens are real? Well yes. the universe is infinitely big, I do believe some form of life exists out there, whether single-cell organisms or a more intelligent species. Do I think they came over here and built the pyramids? no. no i do not.

can you drive a manual car? still can't drive...

what's your guilty pleasure? i don't know, do i have one? I like lots of things people might find cringe, like, 80's love ballads or early one direction songs, but I wouldn't say there's anything I think of as a guilty pleasure.

tattoos? can look really cool on other people, though they're not necessarily something I'm inherently attracted to. also, they are not meant for me. I'm too indescisive, too afraid of making a mistake, and too aware of how changeable I am. I hope I keep growing and changing for the rest of my life, and I don't wanna put marks on my body that define me as someone I've moved away from, if that makes sense.

that being said, there are some tattoo artists i follow on instagram whose work i really like. People who do the loveliest watercolour work, people with insane colors, people with gorgeous, folk art-style. If I had to get a tatto, I would go to one of them, and let them dream up something wonderful.

favourite type of music? I think spotify usually tells me it's some type of folk indie pop rock-thing, but it's easier to answer the reverse: I don't really listen to opera, screamo/heavy metal or dubstep/edm. Aside from that? I love gathering artists and songs of all different styles from all over the world in all different languages. I'm eclectic at heart.

do you like puzzles? yes, although it's a struggle to do physical puzzles as I can't seem to find a spot with good lighting. But I've done lots of digital puzzles and they're fun.

any phobias? my fear of insects has gotten progressivley worse. specifically the crawling ones. especially if they have lots of legs, and are fast. ughhhh. does it classify as a phobia? idk.

favourite childhood sport? the words 'childhood' and 'sport' in combination are rarely associated with enjoyment for me. idk. we played a game similar to baseball sometimes, that would probably have to be the one but... I've never really been a sports-person...

do you talk to yourself? Hm. rarely out loud, but often in my head.

what movie(s) do you adore? the first lotr movie = ultimate comfort movie. Mamma mia, pretty woman, notting hill, wild child = fond childhood memories w/ my mom. Billy Elliot and the way back are two movies I've watched several times and really really enjoyed, like they just stand out in my mind. Divines, which I stumbled across on netflix, is possibly my fave. If I were to rec someone one movie, it would be that one. I just think it's good. I vibe with it.

coffee or tea? coffee, I cannot stand tea.

first thing you wanted to be growing up? A hairdresser, maybe? and I wanted to be a designer for several years after I read the book threads by sophia bennett, lol. Grew out of that one around 13/14 i think.
