On May 11 KST, shortly after the official announcement of his departure from TEEN TOP, C.A.P appeared on a YouTube live broadcast via his own channel Baet Boy to reveal his honest thoughts.
First, he said, "I would like to start off by apologize to those who deserve an apology. A few days ago, I brought up the possibility of me leaving, and there was this sense that I had already mostly made up my mind. When I looked back, I felt sorry to fans who were tuning in for saying it so suddenly. I'm not sorry to everyone, no, but to the fans who really looked forward to TEEN TOP, I'm sorry."
C.A.P then added on, "I had a feeling that it would turn out this way. I'd never openly talked about it before with anyone, but I had always wanted to pull out of the group at some point. I had actually made up my mind when I said that I would discuss the matter with the members and the agency, and saying that was in some ways lying to myself. In reality, I had intended on leaving from the beginning."
He also clarified, "I don't personally believe that my actions were wrong. My apology is for lying to the fans. It seemed like our contracts would be extended soon with all that was happening, and that was pushing me into a corner which made me act in an extreme way."
C.A.P confessed that it had been difficult to bring up the matter in conversation, although he had wished to discuss his departure from the group for a while. "I actually wanted to talk to my dongsaengs about it, and so I would call them but they were all busy, and so there was no time or space to bring it up. Meanwhile, my guilt was piling up. I didn't want to hurt other people because of this guilty conscience. I did try to bring the topic up with the company, and there were all kinds of back and forth discussions surrounding the renewal of our contracts. So it got very complicated, and I got to thinking that if I want to cut my ties as surely as possible, I should cause some kind of trouble, and then apologize and leave. I know that if I cause trouble, it will damage the image of my team. But if I leave the team, then it also eliminates the cause of the trouble, and so to me, I was okay with that. I know that in some ways, I acted selfishly without consulting anyone."
Finally, C.A.P relayed, "I went to the company, saw the members face to face, and told them, 'I'm sorry for acting on my own'. It was a clean ending with the members and with the company. I explained to the members why I wanted to leave, I opened up to them and it almost brought me to tears. Jonghyun (Changjo) called me that night. Niel couldn't be there during the day because of a schedule, but he texted me later at night. Even though we never say such things to each other, he said 'Thank you and I love you'. We have been together for 15-years, and we are so close that we just don't say those things to one another. In truth, I should be apologizing to the members for my actions. But they understood me and saw my position, and I was thankful for that. It was painful, but at the same time, I was happy to finally move forward. I can say for certain, though, that my members and I, we are on good terms, and we will always be on good terms. We may not be affiliated with the same company any more, but that has nothing to do with our personal relationships. We are just too close like family for that."

Shinhwa WDJ made me reminisce about the past and look forward to the future… A special year-end concert (Naver)
Shinhwa WDJ (Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Junjin) delivered a special gift to fans ahead of the 25th anniversary of Shinhwa's debut.
Shinhwa WDJ, who introduced a unit for the first time in 24 years with the title of 'group Shinhwa's first unit', faced each other with Shinhwa Changjo (fandom name) through the year-end solo concert 'Come To Life', a medley of hit songs, and each charm This solo stage filled the running time of more than 3 hours.
Shinhwa WDJ's year-end solo concert 'Come To Life', which was held for two days on December 30 and 31, 2022, commemorated the 24 years since their debut in 1998 and presented unforgettable memories to fans who have been waiting for a long time.
A special concert that both Shinhwa WDJ and its fans have been waiting for before Shinhwa WDJ's surprise formation, after Shinhwa's 21st anniversary concert held in 2019, among Shinhwa Changjo, who had not been able to see the members at a concert.
'There will be a concert in the future. A big topic was whether or not to hold a concert called “Can I do it?” And after 3 years, in 2022, Shinhwa WDJ, which first introduced a unit with the words, “Our fans could get too tired if we delayed any longer, and we thought we should get together as much as possible right away,” and at the end of the year, Shinhwa WDJ finally faced Shinhwa Changjo.
We couldn't take our eyes off each other. Shinhwa WDJ's first mini-album 'Come To Life', the first track 'Shape On Body', the members opened the fire with energy as if they had returned to the beginning of their debut, and performed more passionately than ever before, followed by 'Your Wedding' and 'Rumble' ' He showed a performance and breathed with fans.
Shinhwa WDJ, which has been facing Shinhwa Changjo for the first time in a while, worked hard to breathe with the fans throughout the performance, going back and forth from the main stage to the sub-stage close to the audience to share musical sympathy as close as possible.
In addition, the members showed off their individual capabilities on the stage of a solo album that has been loved so far, as if they went back in a time machine. Lee Min-woo's 'Just One Night', 'Taxi', 'Don't Trust Men', 'The M stYle's Jun Jin's 'Love Won't Come', 'Wow Wow Wow', 'Wa' Kim Dong-wan's 'Handkerchief', 'Scream', and 'Viva La Vida'.
A concert group that makes people reminisce about the past and look forward to the future.
Shinhwa is a boy group with the special title of 'Korea's longest running idol' and has been loved for 24 years.
True to the title of 'Korea's longest-serving idol', Shinhwa WDJ drew attention with a setlist that fully captured the footsteps of the past 24 years at this concert. 'I Pray 4 U', 'Don't Leave Me', 'You're Pretty', 'Perfect Man', 'Only One', 'Orange', 'Usah! Wow!' The stage was decorated with various songs that made Shinhwa what it is today, and Shinhwa Changjo created a spectacle of singing along with light sticks to respond to the members' passionate performances.
The 'Come To Life' concert, which had a perfect ride, looked back on the past and made expectations for the future activities of Shinhwa WDJ and the group Shinhwa.

MUSE CHANGE! TeenTop’s Changjo to Day6′s Young K/Brian
Everything posted before this notice is from the old muse, Changjo. Everything posted from now on will be for the new muse, Young K.
URL CHANGE: CJONGH TO KNGBRI
Due to loss of muse for Changjo, I will be dropping him as a character. I tried really hard to work with him, but I just couldn’t bring myself to feel motivated to write him no matter how hard I tried or how many times I attempted to get interactions going. Instead, I will be switching this account to a new character, Brian/Young K of Day6. I’m almost done with the theme, and from there I will post an ad and hopefully get interactions going for him.
I feel much more motivated to write for Brian Young K, and it makes me feel happier to write for him than Changjo. I truly enjoyed everyone who I interacted with as Changjo, and I really hope we can keep interacting together as Brian instead. Thank to everyone who read this note, and I hope to write with you all in the future as Brian/Young K!
#important!#i do love changjo but#i just can't write for him anymore#brian gives me more inspiration so i think this is a good decision!!!#also this is a tag dump lmao#영K: REPLIES.#영K: VISUAL.#영K: DAY6.#영K: MEMES.#영K: INBOX.#영K: OOC.#영K: UPDATES.#영K: INSTAGRAM.#영K: PASSIONS.#영K: DEPTH.#영K: JYPFAM.

hiiiiii today's reminder is in two parts because the nct channel has fed us well today
1. the beatbox dance practice vid: pls why are they so cute giggly goofy dream is my absolute favourite. Jaemin twerking, an absolute king. Mark looking scandalised when Renjun took off his jacket. the rap line always unquestioningly following whatever Jaemin does in that one bit when they're walking by the back. Haechan looking very seriously into camera and asking "why am i so sexy". all while dancing like that? i adore them
2. the boxing video: tomorrow I'm gonna see Kun throw some fists and I already refuse to apologise for the person i will become when that happens. Shotaro tearing up (???) because Yangyang teased him, my absolute precious angel. Doyoung looked so fucking good i think i just have a thing for people throwing punches tbh it's always hot as fuck. also i love Jungwoo but he was reminding me so much of my baby sister picking fights for no reason that i got genuinely kinda annoyed at one point and had to stop and come back to it. also everyone in the background throwing salt in the fire, NCT is full of messy bitches. i know we joke about Kun just chilling and having a good little chuckle in these NCT show videos but it was a true joy to see him laugh at their fights and stir more drama.
in conclusion i love them your honour
Hiiii, I wasn't paying attention to the dream video for a second literally the first few seconds when I looked back at my tv I saw a little tushy sticking out behind Jeno didn't even need to do process of elimination or try to remember who has orange hair. It could only be one person. Only one person would randomly start twerking and I love him. Put him on the twerk team with Yeonjun and Kevin Moon from tbz. But I love their goofy dance practice videos the most. Renjun spinning the jacket over his head was the cutest thing ever. Also just realized Chenle isn't Renjun sized any more swear he was just as tiny. When did he grow? He's suppose to be Renjun sized.
I swear I say this everyday but oh my god I love Jungwoo, yes yes he was soooo annoying but its funny. He's so cute, he's literally just like a wound up puppy play fighting. He's so dramatic. But also I can't tell who was telling the truth Jungwoo or Doyoung. Imma be biased and blindly believe everything Jungwoo said. And poor Shotaro just felt left out and yeah if someone calls you out of the blue and you drop everything for them and then they're like guess you were bored like sir... What. But Kun softly assuring Shotaro his feelings were valid was sooo sweet. His tone was so fatherly and warm. But Yangyang not having a single thing to say about Taro and only singing him praises to the point Shotaro was in tears. sweet babies. Theyre so precious. And Shotaro is just a little angel something about his face and voice just makes me so happy. The sweetest baby angel. He was so cute when he said do you hate texting me. My heart. Okay for Taro, I will fight Jungwoo. Dont make my baby sad my other baby. But when Jungwoo said think carefully don't listen these people. I've never laughed so hard oh my god. I've come to a verdict, I love them too.
Also when Hendery asked if they could hit their opponent. Honestly that's what I was hoping for to see them go Teen Top on each other. Chunji took out like five members with a jump kick. They were always fighting it bled into their mvs. Like when they fought on the beach or when Chunji pushed ljoe into Changjo so hard the lockers went back in the locker version of Miss Right. I love Teen Top. Also B1A4, I remember when Sanduel was beating Baro with those leeks. Haechan always reminded me of that moment. Seems like something he'd do. Back when the moment you heard Brave sound you knew the song was gonna be good.

ChangNiel at Let’s Eat Together
I watched both in the span of two days and while there was nothing too overt, there was still some high-quality content that I wanted to put down in writing. The two broadcasts are available on the V-app for anyone who’s interested. :)
1. Niel’s eating habits - While Niel does admit that he’s probably the pickiest eater out of all the members, he does sound a little upset when Ricky says he’s not fit for mukbang. Enter Changjo, who quickly jumps to Niel’s defense--it’s not that Niel is picky per se, but that he just has cravings that differ from day to day. Nobody else seconds him, not even C.A.P., who supposedly eats frequently at Niel’s apartment. That is knowledge Changjo possesses because he’s eaten with Niel enough to notice the habit. In fact, I would say he indulges it, because you can see in both broadcasts how often Changjo serves Niel food on his plate, whether it be the tiger prawns in 2017 or the chunks of grilled meat in 2020. As he’s said himself, he’s comfortable with all the members but he’s closest with Niel--and that includes being close enough to know food preferences.
2. Changjo’s eating habits - Angels would know how long this boy has struggled with his self-image and eating habits, so I was glad that in both mukbangs Niel encouraged him to eat by jokingly feeding him all kinds of dishes due to his claim that he’ll eat anything, pushing his soup towards Changjo when the latter used it for a spoonful of rice, and insisting that he try the lobster after noticing he (Changjo) wasn’t having any.
NB: It’s hilarious how the two of them ranked 3rd for the members’ internal vote of who suits the mukbang concept best. I’m still waiting for these two to do their own mukbang, honestly--we’ve gotten a few precious seconds of them eating together, but a full show with them just chilling, eating whatever they want and answering fan questions would be beautiful.
3. MC Niel - As always, Niel does well hosting the show and steering where the conversations go. That naturally includes pulling our daydreaming Changjo back to the present. We don’t know what goes through the youngest’s head, but we do know he loses interest pretty quickly unless Niel invites his participation (Exhibit A: he has no clue on the rules for the acrostic word game they do at the end of the 2017 broadcast because he hasn’t been listening and only returns to reality after Niel tells him he’s up).
4. Dancing Boy Changjo - He’s content to hang around in the sidelines when they’re doing the karaoke portion but who can say no to Niel? His favorite hyung wants to do the choreography, so of course he’s in! Niel offers to set aside the table Ricky smacked into, but Chunji points out they won’t need it. Unlike Ricky, Changjo knows exactly where the table is, and true to expectation, does a bang-up job dancing around it (literally).
5. Flirting coach Changjo - After breezing through his own recording for ‘cheeseball video call with Angels’, he feeds Niel lines for his own video recording (I was rather confused because at times it almost felt like he was saying it to Niel and not relaying lines) and not a single Teen Top member called them out for it, which was very surprising and unusual. As a bonus, Niel admits that Changjo’s got a knack for flirty lines, saying ‘[he] can be very sweet’. If Changjo isn’t annoying the heck out of Niel, he’s actually very sweet and caring--but we don’t often dwell on this because most On Airs focus on that notorious love-hate relationship of theirs.
6. The lack of personal space - It becomes evident how close the two of them end up sitting together when the cameras zoom out and you compare it to how evenly everyone else is spaced out. They start out around the same distance as the others, but eventually it shortens, whether because one is giving the other food or because Changjo has a habit of resting a hand or arm on the backrest of Niel’s chair, who knows. Sometimes, when one of the others is talking, you’ll hear them having their own quiet conversation in the background, too.
Overally, very satisfying to watch them eat as much as they wanted. If there’s anything that’s changed, I would say that Changjo’s aura has become less of a flirtatious, mischievous boy’s and matured into a silently supportive young man who exudes playfulness when coaxed by a particular person. As for Niel, making it to 10 years has lifted the anxiety from his shoulders--I think this 2020 we are finally seeing Niel unfettered from all the expectations, and more open about displaying his clear affection for Changjo. These are positive and promising changes, and I hope that their relationship continues to grow deeper and more steadfast in the years to come!

CHOI JONG HYUN . CHANGJO (1995) TEEN TOP / SOLO ARTIST / ACTOR
today, i decided to write about teen top. i religiously followed and stanned them from their debut up till the exito album was released. i tried to keep up for the next few years, but their music wasn't doing it anymore for me and the last teen top album i ever purchased was red point. and then, l.joe left.
truth is, l.joe is my first ultimate bias, i remember back in high school i'd fall in love with all of these teen top fanfics on aff. teen top was the first group i stanned with all my heart. i had all of their lives and shows downloaded and bought tons of their merch. i'm a very passionate person when it comes to things i love, so while i loved groups like infinite, exo, b2st, teen top held a very special place in my heart.
i'm reminiscing today because after 10 years, i've decided to let go of all of the albums, photobooks and dvds i've collected over the years. i had people tell me i could just keep them as a memory of how much you loved them, but to be honest, i look at them and just think about how much money i spent on a group i don't feel for anymore. it's actually kinda scary because i feel like i turned on them, they were a beautiful part of my teenage years after all.
i decided to make changjo icons instead of l.joe because in regards to teen top, i don’t think what he did was right (to teen top), and i love this maknae’s glowup! ~ oct 13, 2020

I have a question for you. How did you get into kpop?
Oof okay, time to expose myself. Y’all might wanna get some popcorn, cause it’s story time.
So it in part is thanks to my friend @cheonsajeonghan1004 we were both homeschooled and met in like 6th grade and did a lot of group projects together (someone made the mistake of putting the madness together and now it’s not going anywhere lol) and just got close. Like close enough that she came to an extra live lesson to see me give a presentation (it was on kpop mind you, but still).
So anyways we’re talking one day right, and she tells me that she recently got into a kpop group. Their name is SHINee and blah blah blah on and on she’s going. Now I have no problems with not understanding the language a music is in, never have, not an issue. I just wasn’t interested and that’s all she was talking about. So I finally snap and am like; “okay, fine you can send me 1 video of them, but if I don’t like it you leave me alone about them.”
Now I love her to bits, but let me tell you she wasn’t the smartest about what video she sent. Even she realized that (love you Shay). This girl she sends me the Lucifer dance practice. Where Taemin is wearing that freaking optical illusion shirt. Mind you I couldn’t look at anything but the shirt, like I got a migraine two minutes in and had to turn it off. I told her, “I can’t with the shirt that girl is wearing.” (Sorry Taemin, love you. I honestly wasn’t paying that much attention I just saw the hair real quick and then got distracted by the shirt....my bad)
Also, fun fact Taemin is my friend’s bias.....so anyways..... I was like I gave it a shot blah blah blah. I’m not doing that again, I’m gonna go take some pain meds for my migraine now.
Here’s the thing though, kpop always gets you. It finds a way right..... so I’m at a sleep over and start talking about how my friend is into kpop now and blah blah blah some group named SHINee. And my friends are like “ Oh do you just not like Asian men?” Which leads to me googling pictures of attractive Asian men to show them what I do and don’t prefer, like what my type is and that it isn’t that I don’t like Asian guys. And I stumble across a picture of Changjo from Teen Top and I am instantly like....”yes! This right here, I like this!” (Mind you it’s winter break so my friend and I aren’t talking much cause we would usually talk more during school.) And come to find out he’s in a group, so I look up the group....and I liked all of them (but we can thank L.Joe for really getting my attention, also I miss him) and was like “well, they’re cute so let’s look at one of their music videos.”
When i tell you I watched Crazy on repeat for 4 hours straight I mean it, it was 3am before I put the phone down to go to bed (at a sleepover I’m doing this). Wake up and eat breakfast the next morning and put it on repeat AGAIN! Haven’t seen any other mvs yet, and I’m like “Okay, I’m into whatever this is.” So I look up what kinda group they are, and as soon as I saw kpop.....I was like how the hell am I going to explain this to my friend?
Anyways that’s the gist of it, I then almost got into EXO next, but that’s when things started to go down and the member who got me interested left. So I was like....Okay Im gonna go until you guys chill a little bit. So I officially got into BTS second, then EXO, and then SHINee. Was kinda watching bits and pieces of Seventeen TV as videos showed up as suggested for me until they debuted. Basically after those first few groups it all went downhill and I don’t even know how many groups I know anymore. (But you’re welcome Shay for seventeen.)
My first girl group was APink (no that’s not really my style, I don’t know how it happened either, but yeah.)
My first celebrity crush was Rain, but from acting in a movie I binged all the time when I was 9/10. Forgot about the movie and him until years later, learned about him in kpop, thought he was familiar. Went to watch the movie with my brother as a throwback remembering that I was obsessed with someone in it. Lost my shit realizing it was Rain (also there is a g.o.d member in the movie for a little bit, fun fact). I’m not going to say what movie cause I believe it wasn’t liked by most, but anyways yeah....(honestly when I binged it was for Rain and his shirtless scene anyways....yes at 9/10 years old, leave me alone).
No, I don’t think that I really have a type when it comes to guys or even my biases (constant debate with me and my friends I say no, they give 3 different potential types). I do have a thing for rappers, but usually my biases end up not being the rappers anymore, so take that however I guess.

This really broke my heart. Teen Top have been around for 8 YEARS Yet people still say ‘wHo?’ They are just as beautiful, talented, humble and loving towards their fans as any other group out there yet they still continue to struggle for people to know them and their fame is always fluctuating. They were never the number one boy group but they did have times where they were incredibly popular. What happened? Why are they constantly being abandoned? They’ve proven they can write their own songs, (GOOD songs too) come up with their own choreography that slays and When it comes to their fans they always, ALWAYS go above and beyond for us. They’re hilarious. They’re sweet. They’ve stayed humble, even at their most popular they stayed the same dorky boys we all know and love and They deserve so much more.
#that really made me want to cry#I love them so much#groups that have hardly been around for three years already got people looking up to them but my boys are always forgotten#someone once said all of TT songs sound the same#if u think that way go listen to mr.bang and then brushing and tell me those two songs are the same#I know the company is to blame mostly but the fans are too#a lot of angels left when the boys tried to do something more mature and different#why would you do that??#maybe it’s just cause I am a fiercely loyal type of person but I could never stop being a fan for something that ridiculous#if you read all this I’m sorry I’m very emotional right now#teen top#changjo#chunji#niel#ricky#byunghun#lee byunghun#l.joe#c.a.p

WE GOIN OLD SCHOOL, LET'S START WITH TEEN TOP
here it comes we’re going down memory lane folks it’s one of my first and biggest ult groups from back in the day oof
WARNING: THIS IS GONNA BE A LONG ONE SO BUCKLE IN (I have so many teen top feelings ok)
Group: TEEN TOP aka our favorite acronym - Teenager Emoboy Emotion Next generation Talent Object Praise (I somehow missed the memo this was a thing when they debuted because on a quiz I was like this isn’t really and IT WAS... anyways I kind of still hate it lol but it’s also hilarious)First MV: Clap - we’ve been here since day one lol have I mentioned this song is still EVERYTHING to me alsdkjfsklEra I discovered them: ClapEra they were actually in when I discovered them: Clap How I Found Them: I can’t remember exactly how I heard about them since it’s literally been 9 YEARS (YIKES LOL) but back then I heard about them before they debuted and I remember going on a forum to learn about them before hand… I got really excited because someone has mistyped Niel’s birthday (it’s 8/16 but they forgot the “1″) so I thought we had the same bday at first lol good times First Bias(es): I think I might’ve leaned toward Niel at first partly because of the whole birthday thing even though we weren’t actually birthday twins, but L.Joe stole my whole heart and I was SO obsessed with him for years omg… CAP was my wrecker thoughCurrent Bias(es): in my heart it’ll always be L.Joe, but I guess now it’s CAP and Changjo Bias Wrecker(s): CAP and Changjo also I guess haha bias AND wreckersFav Song: Crazy is far and away my forever favorite, but for the longest time I forgot about Supa Luv, I freaking LOVE that song, and Clap is still right up there… Rocking is an honorable mention I forgot how much I actually liked that one too tbh and also maybe To You… I loved pretty much all their title tracks back in the day thoughFav MV: Crazy still for L.Joe’s A1 acting and also my girl Sohyun, Supa Luv because who doesn’t love alien boys (I still love all of their metallic hair in that omg and all that eyeliner lmao never forget) literally DROPPING IN FROM THE SKY, and Miss Right because the rainbow/white set is one of my favs and L.Joe looked INCREDIBLE with his side shaves oof… and Be Ma Girl for runners up for the neon/black light partFav Moment: Teen Top beating the absolutely CRAP out of each other in every Weekly Idol appearance alsdkfjskl (the fact that they actually banned them from doing that later… LEGENDS) this is partly why that was and is a fav show of mine, and also why I loved them so much lmao such chaotic idiots
send me a kpop group and I’ll answer!!
(I reblogged this like 2 days ago but if anyone wants to still send me some… lol)
#you know what this made me realize#changjo literally debuted when he was FIFTEEN - ONE. FIVE.#like I'm sure I knew back then and so many idols have debuted young but that's wild yo#teen top#heoneyology#ask#sonia speaks

OK so I just got back from Rapport (Teen Top Changjo and Niel’s cafe)!
We thought it was closed and I was kinda sad because I came all the way from Sinchon to Gangnam to go to this cafe. That’s a 45 minute+ bus ride (the ride there was actually close to an hour cause it was during rush hour, the ride back was like 41) so I was like “Damn...”. Anyway, me and my friend from back home were just like “Let’s go eat!” Well actually no...I wanted to go eat but she wasn’t that hungry but I WAS cause I’m in class all day and don’t really get to eat so I insisted we search for a restaurant (this is important ok? Remember this for later). So yeah, we looked around and nothing was interesting or it was too expensive so I was like “Let’s just go get pizza, forget the Korean food” she was like “OK I haven’t had pizza in forever” So we found a nice little Pizza shop called Pizza Express. We LOVED the vibe there but the food wasn’t anything to write home about. My friend was like “Can we go to a cafe after this?” So we were gonna do just that (This is important). So, I just so happened to have 150,000 won of my friend’s money in my account because she lost her card in China and had to have some money sent by her mom. So she sent it to me so I could give it to my friend. So yeah, basically I went to the ATM. It just so happens that we remembered that the convenience store next to Rapport had an ATM so we just went back. As we were coming back to the ATM, Rapport was magically open!
So as it turns out, 6pm-7pm is Rapport’s break time. So the first time we went it was closed but after we came back it was open again! Anyway, here’s The Point(TM) of this whole story! Changjo was working at the damn counter!!!!!!!!!! So I went in and he said “Hi” to me!!!! I ordered my Blue Hawaii (a good drink, and it’s pretty. It’s kinda like sprite with blue syrup in it) from the lady taking the orders. When I ordered it he MADE IT FOR ME!!!!! Like CHANGJO made ME a drink when it should obviously be the other damn way around!!!! And then he made my friend’s drink and handed it to her. And then we went and sat down and I was shook as hell. Then, Bosung (niel’s bro and the shop manager) came down and talked to some other patrons. He was hella nice when we were leaving too. IDK if Niel was there. He may have been upstairs or maybe he worked earlier or has his shift later.
Anyway, that was hella fun and I wanna go back before they shut down for good. Who just has their idols make THEM a drink? What idols own a cafe/pub and ACTUALLY work there even though they also do a trillion other things?
Also, the boys sold this place so it is only still there (under management of Teen Top and Brother) until July 31st. On August 1st, it is the new owners place. So if you guys are in Seoul in the Gangnam area or will be then you should go! Get your drink made by Changjo (he’s so handsome!)

Shinhwa 21st anniversary concert Chapter 4 - VCR
Shinhwa’s message to Shinhwa Changjo 🧡
To Shinhwa Changjo:
Eric: I wrote...
Minwoo: When you receive something, you should give something back, isn't it?
Eric: ...a letter...
Junjin: For the Shinhwa Changjo fans
Hyesung: I wrote a letter
Andy: and I will read it now
Minwoo: Orange Princesses, hi—
Hyesung: Hello, this is Hyesung
Eric: I read everything that was sent in by all of you. "As we start our 4th chapter, how should Shinhwa continue on?", "What kind of future does Shinhwa Changjo want and hope for?" I thought a lot about that.
Minwoo: What everyone hopes for us, from start to finish, isn't something grand, but we, Shinhwa, aren't doing so well with that, isn't it?
Dongwan: If Shinhwa is the longest running idol in Korea, then Shinhwa Changjo is the longest running fan club in Korea and, I think, the fans that we are most proud of.
Junjin: Whether the time you have been with us is long or short, I hope you know that your existence itself as a Shinhwa Changjo is reassuring.
Andy: I once again realized that Shinhwa Changjo is always an existence that makes me feel touched.
Eric: While reading the messages sent by all of you, instead of Shinhwa's future, I was able to look back on Shinhwa's past.
Hyesung: This book of stories from Shinhwa Changjo will become an even greater motivation for our 21st anniversary and the time after.
Eric: I learnt that Shinhwa isn't simply just a celebrity, we have become an important part in every page of everyone's life stories.
Minwoo: I will remember how Shinhwa Changjo hopes for us to communicate through various mediums and in Chapter 4, I and the Shinhwa members will work even harder.
Dongwan: We will work even harder so that you will not be embarrassed to say that you are a Shinhwa Changjo.
Andy: Thank you for letting us be a part of your long life.
Junjin: Let's meet today, let's meet tomorrow, and let's meet next year too. And again next time. We'll see each other again and again.
Minwoo: Everyone made Shinhwa to being where we are today. Thank you to each and every one of you.
Hyesung: I thought I should end my reply with what most of you said to us. Thank you Shinhwa Changjo, for always being there for us.
Eric: Shinhwa Changjo is, indeed, Bang!
Dongwan: I will do better.
Junjin: I love you, and thank you.
Minwoo: Thank you. I love you.

Shinhwa promises to stay with fans ‘forever’ at 21st anniversary concert.
Living up to its reputation as the longest-running K-pop act to date, Shinhwa’s 21st anniversary concert in Seoul was nothing if not legendary. It wasn't because of a high-end set or elaborate special effects -- it was the K-pop gurus’ unique ability to hold a crowd in the palm of their hands and make them feel secure, comfortable and loved that made the annual show so special. Drawing over 20,000 fans, the six-piece band held its two-day concert at the Olympic Park’s Olympic Gymnastics Arena over the weekend. Titled “Chapter 4,” the set was divided into four parts, chronicling Shinhwa’s lengthy career since the band’s debut in 1998 until last year. Kicking off the Saturday concert with its debut hit, “Resolver,” Shinhwa filled the over-three-hour affair with as many as 30 songs, including “Perfect Man,” “I Pray 4 U,” “Brand New,” “Shooting Star” and “Kiss Me Like That.” The group’s die-hard fans, many clad in orange -- the act’s trademark color -- waved orange light sticks and chanted “Shinhwa Changjo” throughout. “Shinhwa Changjo” refers to the group’s official fan base.
After pumping up the crowd with “Wild Eyes,” the band greeted fans by promising an amazing show and asking fans to “go crazy.” Expressing his affection toward the fans, Lee Min-woo said during the show, “I feel like I’m caught up in the group called ‘Shinhwa Changjo,’ as if my mistakes are all warmly embraced. I saw our fans while dancing, and they were all enjoying our performance. Thank you so much for having fun with us. “Shinhwa won’t ever be taken down. We might get old, but our talent won’t get old,” he added. Although most of the band members are in their early 40s, Shinhwa proved to its fans that time doesn’t matter with the dynamic energy the artists showed during fast-paced numbers like “Oh” and “Sniper.” With toned-down tracks like “Destiny of Love” and fan song “Orange,” the band whipped the crowd into a frenzy.
Referring to the ear-splitting screams from the audience, Shin Hye-sung joked, “I think I should apologize to the staff of this venue, as I think the ceiling got cracked. I will pay for the damage.” While the overall atmosphere was perky and bright, there were a few emotional moments too. Fans surprised the group toward the end by singing the melodic “Prayer” in unison. Shinhwa reciprocated their love by projecting heartfelt video messages for fans onto the screen. “We will keep performing on stage as long as we are healthy,” said Kim Dong-wan via the screen, and Lee Min-woo promised fans that he wouldn’t just leave them without any notice.
Wrapping up the concert with classics “Eusha! Eusha!” “Time Machine,” “Run” and “Yo!” Shin said, “You (fans) will always be our priority, no matter what happens, and we’ll stay by your side forever. We won’t have a new member until our death.” Eric chimed in and said, “To me, my bandmates are at the top of my list and you guys (fans) are in second place. The six of us will stick together to fight against anything. I hope to take seeing you guys each year for granted.” “We will always say we are like a beach that keeps its place despite the tide. You may come back to us whenever you want,” said Kim. Andy also promised fans to do his best as part of Shinhwa for the next 20 to 30 years. Shinhwa is the longest-running K-pop act in the scene that has remained together, despite management changes and the members’ mandatory service in the military. Often referred to as part of the “first generation” of K-pop, Shinhwa released the special album “Heart” in August last year, featuring the lead single “Kiss Me Like That.”

Niel’s birthday Vlive
Look, if you adore ChangNiel and you weren’t destroyed by the birthday Vlive, you’re not human. I dare you to sit through that entire hour+ of them just being boyfriends and say you didn’t feel anything.
For the first 10 minutes, Niel films alone, but it’s clear he feels a little bit awkward. He reads comments and, as expected, doesn’t fail to mention how (boy)friend Changjo greeted him. He also reads comments on how Changjo is supposed to give him a Daiso watch (lol, fan comments are hilarious), but denies he’s heard anything about that.
As someone who’s seen short clips of this Vlive on YT, I knew Changjo was gonna come in. In fact, it would be stranger if he didn’t, because shipping goggles aside it’s no less apparent that he has a soft spot for Niel. What I didn’t expect was for an off-key booming voice to shock Niel (and my poor eardrums) by singing happy birthday.
Jonghyun brought a cake! He was dressed very casually in a long-sleeved shirt, shorts and slippers! I was speechless when I took these details in. Usually, it’s the staff who gives out the birthday cake. If not, the team as a whole comes in singing happy birthday. Interestingly, though, Jonghyun comes in by his lonesome, there is no entourage clapping behind him to wish Niel a happy birthday, and he holds the cake (that he personally bought with his own money!) perfectly still while Niel blows out all the candles. As for the outfit, considering their status as K-pop idols, I found it hilarious that Jonghyun gave 0 fucks and just marched right in wearing slippers. Setting aside the Gucci-branded shirt, it really seemed like something he would wear if they were just hanging out at home. He really didn’t care about getting filmed in the V-live as-is, and you know how that came across? That he just came over in his personal capacity, not as Changjo, but as Choi Jonghyun, Niel’s (boy)friend, and didn’t want to let him spend his birthday alone.
Throughout the Vlive, Jonghyun kept fidgeting. Maybe he was bored, maybe he just wasn’t in the mood... we won’t really know what was going on in his head. But it’s clear that whatever he was feeling, he was determined to stay with Niel and celebrate that special day with him. He even asked, “How long are you planning to do the Vlive?” Would it be farfetched to think he wanted it to end quickly so they could enjoy the rest of the day without the cameras? Honestly, considering how he rushed over, hair newly shampooed and in slippers, I don’t think it’s as much of a pipe dream as we might think it is.
And then we get to the domestic stuff. The little things that make me really think their relationship has definitely surpassed ‘brotherly’ feelings. First it was Changjo just taking Niel’s water. Then it was his drink--note that Niel has already drunk from this--and right after sipping his fill Changjo places it back next to Niel, who then proceeds to put the straw to his mouth without second thought. When Niel reads fan comments about how his hair is untidy and he should put on a hat, Changjo hands him the party hat to wear, although he bursts out laughing because Niel puts in on his face (and I loved that scene, btw; Changjo laughing is always a treasure because he seems so bored and stone-faced otherwise). Later on it escalates to Changjo fixing the foil curtain background that seems to be falling apart, and how he clearly seems more bothered about it than the actual birthday celebrant. As for Niel? Why, his feathers are completely unruffled the whole time. That’s a level of trust you can’t achieve with just anyone. Even I would have qualms about sharing everything with my sibling, and I was often annoyed at my ex for doing things without my permission, but what they have between them means that Changjo doesn’t need to ask permission, the two of them have an unspoken understanding and there’s no need to verbalize it.
Niel isn’t completely passive, either, as he reaches out to touch Changjo’s hair not once but twice, and gets into a small argument about whether or not Changjo should have gone ahead and put body lotion in his hair (as the stylist suggested). This is the kind of argument one would have with a boyfriend (and was, in fact, very similar to the kind of nagging I did with my ex), but Changjo just lets him say his piece and doesn’t get mad at all. That’s a very important point--if a friend nagged you, you’d still resist it if you felt they were overreacting, but in a romantic relationship, you’ve gotten used to the nagging being part of the way that your significant other expresses their love for you, so it doesn’t really bother you as much. So if these days Jonghyun is more amused and less agitated by Niel scolding him for trivial things, well then, you know what’s up.
The thing that blew my mind the most, however, wasn’t even the above-mentioned. No, it was when Changjo, without a single word, stood up to have Niel’s food tray taken away, and then smoothly reached for the birthday cake. As if that wasn’t enough, he also removed all the candles and grabbed the knife to cut the birthday cake, then even pulled the chopsticks apart for himself and Niel. When I saw all that happening, I really wanted to ask the staff: why would you hand everything over to Changjo when it’s Niel’s birthday? Do you know something we don’t?
Niel turns nostalgic when he cuts the cake and reminisces how this will be the tenth birthday he’s spent with Changjo, and would go even farther back if they counted when they were trainees. You can visibly see how that blank expression on Changjo’s transforms into a shy but happy one, and it absolutely melted me.
If you didn’t follow Teen Top closely, you would have had no idea who was older and who was younger here, just because Jonghyun took charge of everything as soon as he stepped inside the room and Niel let him. As a viewer, I felt like the very atmosphere of the broadcast changed when Jonghyun stepped in. I started watching the Vlive somewhat apprehensive because I saw the set up of the staff and didn’t know how Niel planned to keep the live going by himself, especially since he’s an introvert first and foremost and he’d rather be playing games than do a broadcast by himself, but Changjo resolved that worry so quickly! Even until the end, it felt like Changjo using hand sanitizer was a signal of sorts, because shortly after that Niel says he needs to go. What the subs don’t capture on Vlive, but which I found very intriguing, is that Changjo says “Let’s go!” right after, and then later announces he’s going to leave first before coming back to troll Niel in the last minute.
So assuming how Changjo waited for him until the broadcast ended, it’s probably safe to assume that wherever Niel was planning to go next, Changjo was going with him.
#changniel#otp: beauty and the beast#jonghyun being an absolute boyfriend this entire live was my favorite#and niel who just accepts everything as a matter of course#get yourself a man like choi jonghyun
