Hello! I just read your Makima/Nayuta reader and Really like it and I wanna give you my own ideas for Makima/Nayuta reader

For personality reader will of course,be really cunning,smart,and good at manipulate people as this is the biggest trait in Makima which mean reader know something is clearly off with how the agency is treating him but all of those trait are cover with his childish and outgoing personality. Even tho reader is young and mischievous he is charming own his own making other people let down their guard

And now his ability(i'll just take two Makima ability),since reader controlling ability only work when he think he's better than someone on the same person I like to think he'll be quite egoistic and view some people as his dogs Just like Makima.Then we got makima shooting ability,for this reader just need to hold his hand and position his hand to a finger gun and go "bang" then it will shoot through the person who he aimed

Bonus,For the part 2 I like to think that the agency is absolutely in shambles and try to look for reader everywhere meanwhile reader is with the port mafia.Mori probably try to take reader in as he realize how useful his ability is but reader will immeadiately know something is odd about the man and play along with Mori and maybe mess a bit Mori with his ability

The first thing of what Chuuya thought was he absolutely find you tolerable and cute (platonically) as you have your own puppy! How can he not be happy to find someone who have the same interest and practically he can handle kids just well.

But.. He was confused on why Mori requested him to take the kid with him to find out about his ability but first company them to shopping trip.

He wonder why but obliged to do so, now he was stuck with you while Moro is busy buying clothes for the children more likely first Elise.

He even told Chuuya to warn if he spot an agency member or sort which confused him yet agreed to do so.

So.. it begins of him babysitting you for the day, While Mori is busy in the mall with Elise as you were with Chuuya who hold your hands every step you take.

"Ne! Ne! Chu-chu-niisan! Can I have the latest edition icecream of Pikachu special?!" You asked with doe eyes as he sweatdropped.

He was about to deny as he doesn't want to leave the boss but your teary eyes make him stop and agreed to quickly buy it for you.

You hugged his leg in joy as he chuckle and take you with him.

The problem was the icecream was selling on the rooftop.

It was just a happy moment until someone try to attack/hostage you as you were just 10-12 year old boy.

The man kept a gun on your head as you snivel in teary eyes.

Chuuya was hesitant as wrong move you can be in danger as he believe you don't truly have an ability or maybe you have but it is useful for agency not Port mafia and perhaps Mori analyse about it is wrong.

"Chuchu-niisan!" You wailed as the man warn Chuuya not to move.

"Don't worry y/n! I will save you" said Chuuya as he try to come up with a plan as the rooftop was empty now.

"Chuchu-ni-" "shut up" as the man beat your head with the gun (bottom) harshly making it bleed.

"You! I will kill you!" Exclaimed Chuuya angrily as the person smirk when you were quiet your head was low as blood drip from your forehead to the ground.

'Is he unconscious'

"Y/n.." Muttered Chuuya who almost try to attack the man until, you started to giggle as the man and Chuuya was confused.

Your eyes stare up and smile at the man while, making a gun finger sign.

'I should call someone to erase evidence' thought Chuuya as he firmly hold your hand while you skipped happily with your clothes and face slightly splattered in blood.

Chuuya realise one thing that your ability was dangerous and he hope Yumeno and you doesn't meet.

As Chuuya explain to Mori what he have witnessed earlier today as you and Elise fall asleep on the backseat with Mori seating on other side of the driver seat.

"What shall we do boss?"

"What shall we do? I didn't thought the Agency was keeping a boy this dangerous! His ability is terrifying especially when he just killed without a remorse! We should sent him to jail or sort.."

As Chuuya sneak glance at Mori who smirk after the rant.

"Is what good people said, and Port mafia is something that accept those who have tianted hands don't we..?"

"Yes boss" Chuuya said as his hands on the steering tightens while listening to Mori about dressing you up with Elise with the new clothes he brought.

Chuuya admit he wish he didn't hear those words uttered by Mori.

In the Agency the franticness quiet down.

Kunikida had dark circles as he finally print out a paper as Yosano is sharpening her butcher knife to threaten the person who stole their adorable child.

Atsushi, Jun'chiro and Kyouka eventually come back while shook heads as they couldn't find anything about you.

Kenji was frowning too.

Ranpo didn't have a bite of his sweets as he is busy looking at the papers reading any headline of a murder or sort.

They know your ability can kill.

But they can't blame you as you are just a child and your ability kill when someone harm you in a worse manner like beaten you, stab you or even shoot you or sort. It was eventually reassuring that your ability is strong and protect you from harm but it is concerning if someone use you for wrong deeds!.

As the evidence were laid on the table as they all stare at Ranpo who didn't have a bite of his sweets until he find you.

"Ranpo-san" they all muttered as Ranpo wear his glasses quietly without an ounce of pride or sort simply serious.

His eyes darken as he hold the paper tightly.

"So.. where is he?" Asked Fukuzawa as Ranpo glance up with an darken face.

As the others await his answer and for the first time they look like they can kill anyone who harm you or try to take you away from them after all, You are like their child, their younger brother or sort!

Even Kyouka is ready to kill even if she is in agency she won't hesistate.

Dazai was in deep thought with a dark face in the corner.

For some reason his gut feeling tell something tragic was going to happen.. He hope you will be safe at least.

As Ranpo kept down the paper with a dark expression. As everything went frozen for a moment when Ranpo spoke.

THE BATCROOKS AWARDS 2024

After keeping meticulous notes on every Media Property™ I consumed in 2024, here is my roundup of the BESTS!! It should probably be one thing per category but I couldn't decide so it's lots actually. And I broke down video games into so many categories because I play a lot of video games!!!

Best Movie I Watched for the First Time in 2024 (Live Action and Animated Categories)

What I wrote about them: Parasite - sooo good so tense and dark and funny? Isle of Dogs - what a DELIGHT. it was so fun to watch this film, i didn't want it to end. the animation was so good. the logistics behind the making of this movie are simply unbelievable. i can't believe this isn't a more beloved film.

Best TV Show I Watched in 2024 (Broadcast and Internet Categories)

What I wrote about them: Severance - SOO GOOD what a FUN SHOW. it has all the good tenseness of a thriller but it's also so funny in its absurdity. i must know more!! the work is mysterious and important Game Changer (season 6) - this season is very high concept. there have been some very funny ones and a couple eh. Sam Says 3 and the one where they had to find the buzzers were both top 5 episodes

Best Video Game (Multiplayer)

What I wrote about them: V Rising - VAMPIRES!! i loved this game for its tight and unwavering focus on being about vampires. you could build a house but it was always, always a vampire house. you can have a horse but it is a vampire horse. incredible. pretty cool combat and magical spells, some questionable level-up mechanics. mostly fun boss fights almost completely ruined by the final Dracula fight being so so overpowered. really enjoyed this one thanks Abiotic Factor - this has been a very cool survival crafting game, maybe one of the best. it reminds me of a lot of different games. mechanically it feels a bit like Raft, in that it has very unique setting and base building and a narrative thread and handcrafted things to explore. of course it has all the half life vibes but also way more SCP stuff than i would have expected and that's great because it is always fun. as of writing we are doing the reservoir section, which has been a lot more stressful than previous sections, but i think we'll probably get through it alright. with only a few exceptions (how long it took to unlock food recipes for example), the progression of craftables has been good. for the mostpart, resources haven't been very annoying to obtain (other than silver and carbon). the vibes are just so good throughout and so many things have been delightful. since it is early access, i'm not going to knock a star off for the Issues. it is an optimistic five stars. about 52 hours and we have completed all the early access. genuinely sad to stop playing it so i guess it was good!! the last chapter was a bit stressful but it was fun how many new gadgets we got to play with for a little while there. anyway it is now tied with v rising for best multiplayering of 2024

Best Video Game (Cat Plays) (Games I Played With an Audience) (Of Sourdeer)

What I wrote about them: The Roottrees are Dead - so good, better than Hand With Many Fingers. hope more games like this keep existing. the amount of info you got to trawl through was so fun. honestly considering replaying it when the steam remake comes out someday, which seems crazy for a mystery game but there was so much i doubt i'll remember everything. Lorelei and the Laser Eyes - a little heavy on the kind of arbitrary spookiness? I dunno how to explain it but it just often feels like games are spooky Just Because sometimes. The same as feeling like this and other games try to tackle high brow stuff Just Because. and the control scheme is WHACK lol. if it just had a "back out" button it would be fine tho. but this is another game that has made me feel so clever very often. it helps to play with multiple people contributing to the tricksy puzzles. It does seem to be a very meta video game which would be fine but it actually doesn't seem relevant to anything? The instruction booklet, the gameboy game of the maze, the ps1 games, the implication that the video game we are playing right now is also licensed in universe. It's INTERESTING but what does it have to do with the auteur filmmaker and the death of materialism and whatever they go on about all the time. But I'm really liking it so far. A good variety of puzzlers and lots to look into, have only felt stuck a few times. Comically long to-do list though. Could have maybe used more elegant level design? Only deal with one floor at a time maybe? Or at least less. But maybe having so many floating mysteries is part of the vibe actually. in the end i think it is firmly in the second tier of plays game, Very Good with a few flaws. most appreciated for being a rather long puzzle game. more of those please

Best Video Game (Sour Plays) (Games Sourdeer Played With an Audience) (Of me)

What I wrote about them: Hypnospace Outlaw - watched sour play. what a WEIRD THING!!! it was so finely crafted which is funny to say about something so absurd, but they really didn't skimp on anything in this. it really rewards exploring everything, and while i feel like it was maybe a little too loose i think there was just enough guidance with the cases to get you through the story that was happening. very chaotic The Rise of the Golden Idol - while i think overall it is not as good as the first one, i think that is mostly just because the first one was a brand new thing that shocked and awed us. the art style was a bit of a downgrade but still had the expected Vibes and the mysteries were just as satisfying to put together (if not as Cool thematically). i'm very glad to have future installments to look forward to. i can't even rate it a star lower because the gameplay is so good. i love golden idol. I.D.O.L.

Best Video Game (Singleplayer)

What I wrote about them: Dredge - really good!! addictive. 100%'d it Arco - i really liked it!! it was like a combo of West of Loathing and Chroma Squad gameplay-wise. it was really good stories and characters i liked them a lot. the pixels were so cute. i accidentally devoured the whole thing (about 13 hours) so fast but i think theres some replayability there sometime. make a few different choices and see what happens. Animal Well - a DELIGHT!! this game had moments where you felt soooo clever but it did also have some times that were a little hard or fiddly. i loved how it had no (very little) music but so much atmosphere. it was very pretty to look at. the backtracking could be annoying sometimes. but i like that it explained nothing and you could still figure out so much. i've gotten to the credits now as of writing (7.5 hours) but i know there's probably a lot hidden around i will try to find some. i see you smiley faces. i just have to remember how to get back to you. 10 hours later: i have gotten all the achievements which is 100%. to me. sourdeer had to help me get the last ten eggs but i think that overall it was a good difficulty throughout. if you dont try to do the rabbits and all the stuff sour is telling me about that is after even the second credits. so a Nice Game, Brent (Billy Basso)

Best Book I Read for the First Time in 2024

What I wrote about them: Children of Time - considering making this a top ten book. i really liked this one. (editor's note: there are diminishing returns on the sequels. The first one is so fun and innovative, but I don't recommend them past that. The second one is OK) Return of the Thief - yaay a satisfying ending :) it was really bold to introduce an entirely new character to be the POV for the last book in a series but it worked out really well i thought. a good character. everything all tied up in the end :) sad to finish, these were a lot of fun. it is sad that not a single one of these had a female POV. Eddis and Attolia were great but compared to the towering amount of male characters it doesn't seem great. but it is forgiveable. finally someone was gay in this one. so that's nice lol. (editor's note: i read this entire series for the first time this year and have chosen the final as the representative.) Assassin's Quest - Oh ok we are serious now!!! Actually fundamentally a bit less serious because there are dragons now but it made it work. Ended really bittersweet and if I didn't know the characters will return someday I would have been pretty thoroughly bummed out about it. Excellent fun book really elevated the other two. Fantasy books really get you drinking the divine right of kings koolaid. Will start on the next trilogy now, have no idea what to expect from it except that it isn't about any of these characters afaik but same world. It has been a real treat to stumble on to long completed series this year. (editors note: final book to a trilogy)

we're back! for those who don't know, i'm putting together songs that i think fit each of the life series winners, and they're either songs i've seen work really really well in animatics already or songs that would probably work really well, but are less popular or not associated with this fandom (yet)

2. Two - Sleeping at Last: as i mentioned i had some trouble finding songs for scott since i dont watch his pov too often, so some of these are less exclusively last life and more just his character in general. that being said, i do feel like this still fits to an extent for LL!Scott

Sweetheart, you look a little tired When did you last eat? Come in and make yourself right at home Stay as long as you need (this is scott's total eldest sibling energy, always helping and trying to be friends before anything- ex: taking in cleo, being friendly to scar)

You know I'll take my heart clean apart if it helps yours beat (this applies more after last life, see: the many many many times he offers to sacrifice himself, but also the fact that he refuses to betray his friends as the boogeyman)

3. Constellations - The Oh Hellos: at first this one was only here for the star symbolism, but after listening to it a couple more times it does fit pretty well (also the oh hellos is very scottagecore)

4. How to Be a Heartbreaker - Marina and the Diamonds: this is another one that isn't exclusively LL, i just had to put one in abt scotts many ex's.

Rule number one is that you gotta have fun But, baby, when you're done, you gotta be the first to run Rule number two, just don't get attached to Somebody you could lose (i see these "rules" kind of as lessons learned from each season instead, like things he tells himself he'll do next time, but because of his loyal and caring nature, never can)

5. The Garden - The Crane Wives: here it is, the obligatory crane wives song

Are there any characters you’d want in Mario Kart?

Yes. Many. I've gone over it many times but I think Mario's spinoff rosters should be used to celebrate the entire Mario franchise as well as it's spinoffs like Wario, Yoshi's Island, Luigi's Mansion, the RPGs, and it's sibling series, DKC. And it should honor it's past, not just it's present. It does do these things, but only just barely, it's still super conservative about which spinoffs it should focus, and it's references to legacy stuff is rare and usually just limited to tracks, not racers.

I truly believe if Mario Kart did a better job of celebrating the Mario franchise with it's roster and it's tracks, the idea of turning Mario Kart into "Smash Kart" would not be as popular as it is.

Anyway, to answer your question more specifically, I'd love to see any of these characteres in a Mario Kart game.

Any of these would make me very happy. And honestly you could probably apply this to every Mario spinoff, not just Mario Kart. Like it's nuts to me when I see a trailer that reveals like, a blooper or a dry bones as playable and people are like "fuck yeeeahhhh, let's gooooo" and i'm just like ....what? That thing we stomp on to reach a higher platform? That's what you're hype about? Maybe I'm just coming at this from the perspective of someone who mostly plays mainline Mario games, I love Bowser's Minions, but I don't think they're "hype" to play as. I'd rather have more notable characters and bosses.

Hmmm i'll go with richtercard. Im neutral abt it, not my thing but i see the appeal on how they mirror eachother, the contrast of their personalities, the weight of their bloodlines and the ancient feud they're trapped in and their respective reactions. After the events of SotN they could find comfort or at least support eachother.

7- Your favourite tropes to read/write/draw

Its funny bc i recently realized i like stuff in writing revolving around legacy n royalty? The weight dropped atop them with no choice of their own and how they must keep up w the expectations or how they fail (which is funny bc i come from a line of monarchy haters). Other themes (if im using the definition correctly here. Probably not) would be loss and the reactions to it, loyalty/betrayal, pressure, duty vs freedom, obedience vs staying true to yourself and morals (not as a dogma but as questioning what's correct n doing that). If you think this says something abt me no you dont

Also! I rlly like fantasy,non human beings, nature, magic and the list goes on. Oh and stuff like floating islands. Lapuntupilled 4 ever no im not using the og name of the island that's for the mom of the one reading this

16- A tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate

Hmmm. What comes to mind is how Leon during LoI tries to talk w the diff bosses and Rinaldo to learn what is going on. I know its mostly the game giving exposition but it helps show that he is not just a brute but tries to understand the situation and better position himself (Plus i just like picturing him as someone curious who likes "pestering" Mathias w questions abt random stuff). Oh and also the fact he is a war veteran, he's most likely seen Things and done Things.

Year Summary #3

We're going with games today so without further ado!

The ones I've started and finished: 1. Pokemon Moon - Second/third time that I played it. I had started a save a long time ago, but I borrowed my 2DS to a dear friend of mine, so I just started everything from beginning. I enjoyed it as much as the first time actually, getting different Pokemon this time - or kind of? This is also where I discovered that tiny Pancham looks like Paul McCartney. Don't ask me from where I took it, but yeah. I named my Pancham Paul XD

2. Final Fantasy IX - I figured out that there has to be at least one Final Fantasy game during the year and this time it happened to be this one. Again, a replay, third fucking save. I had a new pc at that time, had to install Moguri again but you know. The worst was the fact that the old saves were gone, along with the one where I almost did everything in the time before the final boss. My first, almost complete save was gone, I was sad about that. That didn't discourage me tho, I played the game again, only to regret that I didn't use other names than default - it would be so fun, I have to do it next time. Anyway, I still love this game, I will gladly come back to it at any day really - crying at the end again, God, the credits song ;A;

3. Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc - I think this platformer will come back to the list of "play at least once a year". I love this games to bits, first platformer, my entire childhood and beginning of being a nerd is stored there - and again, Polish dub in this game is *chef's kiss*

4. Rayman Legends - replay after a few years and as much as I love the musical levels, the game itself is fun to certain point, I think halfway through, it gets kind of repetitive - or it might be me who played this game way too much in the past. Either way, I'm not coming back to it anytime soon. Had fun nevertheless tho <3

5. Murder by Numbers - got Epic Games Store, got my hands on free games and there I went, choosing this one as the first one. It has repetitive mechanic over finding clues - it's a detective kind of game, similar to Ace Attorney, but much more tame - but like, if you're bored you can cheat through them just to get on with the plot. I did that at the very end and really, I enjoyed the plot, characters, music. The tiny computer who helped the main heroine was adorable <3

6. Earthbound - you thought I will forget to play it? HAH, jokes on you! The end of year is nearing and my mind is already set on to play it again! I will never grow bored of this game and this time the team consisted of Ringo, me, John and Paul, Beatles themed team and truth be told, I WAS SO FUCKING UNLUCKY ON THIS SAVE. Like, I even did simplest mistakes, forgetting about the freaking shields which got me an instant kill. Had to repeat the last cave three fucking times, I never had such a bad playthrough in my life! Ringo borrowed his luck this time it seems

7. Spyro the Dragon - what did I do when I got a new PC? Downloaded PSX emulator and played Spyro. I'm a whole mood as my friend described me and honestly I don't regret this decision, even if I had to take this game in parts. The camera made me sick to my stomach - oh God I hope it'll be better in later parts and in the remaster - but like taking one level per day was a good idea to solve the problem. Plus the soundtrack - Copeland my beloved! - is just so good. One of those games which soundtracks I'll be listening to when I have time. ...Which reminds me that I have to make cleaning on yt with the games' music. MAJOR CLEANING *looking at my young self* You did fucked it up

8. Deponia - Oh yes, I came back to his fuckery and now I'm having a break before tackling the second game which I don't like very much, but about this one! The beginning is kinda long, but once out of town the game shows what it is capable of with puzzle solving, plot, humor, characters. I still love it and will probably nerd the third part like I usually do, because it's my favorite, but this time I did one major change. I've played with English dub, not like always with German and fuck, it is better somehow so I'm sticking to that <3

Now to the ones I've dropped: 1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Being younger I loved this game, but this time I just couldn't get into it anymore. Might be because my smart ass thought about erasing the save I didn't finish years ago and starting a new one, but who might know. I do regret I didn't finish the game for some weird reason those years ago, but maybe it was for the better? Either way, I sold it with a few other Nintendo Wii games, leaving only two Kirby games for myself so yeah

2. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time - now I really had high expectations for this one. I always heard good opinions about it and so I started it, curious, only to discover that I'm bored of it in the long run. There's not much variety in the battle mechanics. You either do that or this and push buttons. There's no excitement like it is in Final Fantasy for example, it's simpler, much much simpler and the same goes too...

3. Super Mario RPG - while having an amazing soundtrack, this game suffers the same thing as the previous. Repetitive battle mechanics and like this is probably the worst thing you can do to rpg. I know a lot of people love it and I can see why. The plot is great, dialogues, characters and world building is amazing, but for me if the battle mechanics ain't anything good, then I'm gonna drop the game and move on

4. Kirby Mass Attack - I always wanted to play this game. It was actually the first ROM I've downloaded on Nintendo DS emulator right after getting new PC and I had fun in the first world. I love the mechanics with the touch screen, the fact that there's 10 tiny Kirbys running around, but what threw me off guard is the fact that even if you have 10 Kirbys, you're gonna end with one at the beginning of the next world. I felt like all the progress was lost and I had to start from the very beginning. It somehow didn't feel fair you know. This was a big let down

And the ones I'm playing now: 1. Cave Story - first time after hearing what a good game it is, and I finally agree with an opinion! It's smooth, like the older games, the graphics are cute, music is amazing, plot simple, but engaging somehow. And true, some part for a new player are difficult - I'm playing on easy, I don't think of myself as of a great gamer and I still find it difficult. One boss was really unreadable for me, the one who was driving, I don't know the name of it, but like I had to have a few tries to figure out what to do and that is the only complaint I have about this game. Second would be no checkpoints between bosses at the very end, but like there was a chance for me to get a life refill, but like I didn't know about it, so I screwed myself on my own wish. Plus, I'm having a break from it because I'm stuck at final bosses. In the meantime I jumped to this one:

2. Yooka Laylee - which I bought on sale on steam and honestly, I don't remember when I had such a great time with a 3D platformer since Rayman 3. I know a lot of people are saying that it's not the same as Banjo-Kazooie - which I didn't play YET - but like, is it really worthy to compare instead of having fun with a game? I mean, the plot is simple, characters are fun, mechanics are great, the moveset is good, it's not limiting the player at all, the freaking soundtrack is a whole orchestra really, always giving the vibe of the world in a great way. There are a few bugs here and there, but they are not game breaking or anything. I was only throw off my guard when I learned that I need 100 pagies to get to the end. Guess what I am doing as of lately XD

METROID PRIME 2 SPOILERS

I beat it!! I liked it a lot but I don't think as much as the first one. The light and dark world mechanic is really neat when I was stuck and couldn't find out where to go I kept forgetting that there was a whole other version of the map I could be checking.

the powerups in this one were really cool. I love getting a whole arsenal of stuff and then by the time the final boss comes you have a whole slew of stuff to try out to figure out how to damage it. I like how they brought the screw attack into 3D but it does feel a lil clunky sometimes. like sometimes I would try multiple times to activate it and it wouldn't work for some reason (and walljumping with it took some getting used to also.)

I found myself not using the light and dark ammo as much as I probably would have if it didn't have limited ammo. when I only have a limited amount of something I hoard it like a dragon in case I need it later, like to open a door or something (but then I learned you can still open light and dark doors when you're out of ammo by charging the beam whoops.)

Exploring is so much fun in these games and this one in particular had really interesting areas. the bog with the underwater bit where you get the gravity boost. the entire sanctuary fortress is so unique and cool and I loved it so much! the mechs are such a different enemy type than what I'm used to in Metroid. I also love the lore of how the luminoth built them to fight the ing but they ended up losing them to it instead. poor guys really had a tough go of it, they lost a lot of good men in the fight o7

there were some really cool and unique boss fights! quadraxis and spider guardian come to mind. and dark samus!!! what a cool thing. she looks so damn dope the last time you fight her when she's all blasted out with phazon. the timer on your back makes the whole thing so tense too. big dark samus fan. damn grapple guardian took me a million years tho, did not enjoy that one.

Some things I feel like could have been done a little better tho. the fact that the safe areas in dark aether heal you encouraged me to sit there with the game on for long periods of time while I look at my phone or something and wait for Samus to heal when I was low on health. I feel like a game shouldn't encourage you to actively not play it lol. speaking of not playing, I relied on the hunt system a lot in this game. I rarely looked stuff up, but I waited around for hints to drop a lot more than I would have liked. that's definitely partially on me too tho lol

another thing is the damn key quest at the end of the game. I wish it was something they let me know about sooner so I could keep my eye out for them over the course of the game rather than springing it on me at the end. at least the hint system in the first metroid prime was pretty straightforward in how it led you to the artifacts but in this one the hints are tied to whether or not you thought to scan all the dead keybearers (by the time I was given the quest I had scanned four out of the nine of them) and I do not like that. I just wish there was some way for me to have known those were more important than just lore info. I ultimately had to use a guide for all but one of them which I'm not proud of, but if it's between that or me not finishing the game I'll do it everytime.

all in all I really enjoyed my time with Metroid Prime 2. I like that the story was a little more involved in this one and that the world was interesting to explore, the powerups were cool and different, and that there were some neat boss fights. I'll probably play Metroid Prime 3 next as it's the only one I haven't beaten yet, but I think I'm gonna take a break and play something a little lighter first. I just got a Wii U and it really feels like high time to mod the thing.

I do really like the fanon stuff about Joshua being musically inclined before he took on the role of Composer, but to me i always imagined it as him feeling drawn to musical instruments but not really being good at them. So to me, Joshua was definitely a piano kid, but did not necessarily take to it easily nor was necessarily good at it. But he loved just sitting there and plucking keys and could do it for hours :)

I think its more I don't think he would ever want to be one. if anything the closest I think he's come close to is being a mentor figure, similar to what Mr. H is implied to be towards him. And while I don't think he'd excel at it I think he would do a good enough job depending on the circumstances. but uh given his proxies I dont think it should be willingly tested.

A month late to finishing Dawntrail cause I was waiting for Certain Things to update, and honestly, it was alright? Obvious spoilers under the cut.

Nonsense rambling btw, don't expect a thesis there I'm just word vomiting

The strongest part was everything with Sphene, by and far. Zoraal Ja was a completely different character between Part 1 and Part 2 and people keep overlooking that to whine about Wuk Lamat. Ironically, I feel Wuk Lamat was the second strongest part of the expansion.

I came into the expansion as "WoL's funky summer vacation in not-Mexico" and that def helped my opinion about it, cause WoL is meant to be chilling while Wuk Lamat is having the character arc. Sooo I'll guess I'll start with the positives?

Wuk Lamat I felt had a significantly better arc than Lyse did. Probably helped by the fact I play in JP so I don't have the "she sounds so monotone all the time" issue people in ENG had. So you could actually hear her gradually grow in maturity when she goes from yelling 90% of the time to taking a lower tone and calming down.

I dunno, she has a very strong personality and I found her engaging. She was most of the fun I had in the first half, so I guess I got lucky there.

Second, obviously, was Sphene. Kinda Walmart Emet, kinda her own thing. I saw her final boss status coming from a mile away, but like, her background was my speed for an antagonist. Sad old robot you gotta put down cause she's too far gone, path to hell paved with good intentions. That kinda thing, very melancholic.

As for bad, well, uh, I guess mostly that the expansion felt like it was split in half? With two different writers for each half? Like Zoraal Ja of part 2 wasn't even close to Zoraal Ja of part 1, even their motivations were wildly different (inflict war to people who forgot it in peacetime to remind them of what peace is vs daddy inheritance issues)

Also where the shit did baby Garool Ja come from. Who is the mother. Did he just reproduce asexually cause they're lizards? Artificial creation? Kid literally showed up so suddenly out of Nowhere I deadass thought it was like a Miquella/Saint Trina situation where baby Garool was actually a manifestation of Zoraal's innocence/peace-loving nature.

But nope he's just deadass his kid? I guess? I might've missed something but god everything with him was so jarring it drove me fuckin' nuts

Also I do agree with the repetitive nature of the first half. Like, I had fun with it, but Yoshi, Yoshi I know padding when I see it. Aetheryte starvation? Huge areas? Get five bear's asses? Always talk to 3 people randomly sparsed around the said-large map? Running back and forth?

I see the padding you can't hide it from me.

Since everyone's comparing it to Stormblood, I'll do it too. Like I had recently redone Stormblood before Dawntrail came out on an alt (that's now my main l m a o) so I can kinda compare them easily.

Call me bias (<- incredibly bias) but Yotsuyu was a much more compelling first arc villain, while Sphene was more compelling on the latter half. And this is from a Zenos simp so take that as you will.

Day 500000 of me not being over his death still, my copium up until the end of the Zero patches was intense.

Soken didn't miss a single time tho, king of all time

He’s just taken a shower. Damp hair brushes against your skin as he shakes his head. He smells like that expensive bottle of coconut showergel you brought over for nights spent at his place – the cheek pressed against your skin feels so soft you don’t have the heart to tell him off. 

“Sorry,” he mumbles, as if he can read your mind, “I used your body wash. It smells nice.”

“I don’t mind if it’s you.” 

Chifuyu chuckles softly. “Yeah, yeah. I know you don’t like sharing.” He tilts his head to press a kiss beneath your jaw. “Don’t worry, I’ll buy you more. Let’s go shopping tomorrow. My treat.”  

“Chifuyu?” 

He perks up slightly. “Yeah?” 

“Go to sleep.” 

Chifuyu deflates. His chin slumps against your shoulder. “I never see you anymore.”

“What? No, Chifuyu, that's not–” You face him, voice softening. “Hey. Look at me. I’m not going anywhere.”

“You're not?” His voice lilts with confusion, relief, and above all, overwhelming exhaustion.

It suddenly occurs to you that Chifuyu normally takes morning showers. Did he take that night-shower to stay awake for you? 

“I love you, ‘fuyu.” You say gently. “I'm sorry for being upset lately. I am, but it's not you. Just ... a lot of work and a crappy boss."

Chifuyu leans into your hand. He nods, a breath he'd been holding finally escaping his lips. "Oh. That makes two of us."

"You make me happy. Really. I’m not going anywhere.”

At the pained look in his eyes, you continue. “Home’s with you.”

“I,” Chifuyu whispers, “I needed to hear that.” He blinks, then presses a hand to his forehead. "I'm not ... thinking straight. Toman's going through it, and Takemichi’s not making things any less difficult."

You press a kiss to his forehead. “Come on, let’s go to bed.” 

With the lights out and Chifuyu’s back pressed to your chest, you press your lips to the back of his neck. “Get some sleep, okay? We'll talk more later."

"I'll be at a dinner party tomorrow night, but I'm staying home all until then. Taking you out, remember? And then we have the weekend." Chifuyu thumbs little circles into your arms wrapped around his waist. “I love you,” he whispers. “You know that, right?” 

"Yeah." You breathe into his oversized t-shirt. Traces of catnip linger among the detergent and coconut showergel. Your coconut bodywash. Him and you. "Yeah, I know."

nie mingjue’s outfits appreciation post

This is way longer than I expected oh gods, please forgive me for it. 

 It’s a well known fact that Jiang Cheng has the best wardrobe of all CQL characters, I’m not here to argue with that, but I think it’s time for us to stop sleeping on Nie Mingjue’s absolutely fantastic fashion sense.

I mean have you seen him?? The man is out there serving looks even with the Nie sect limited color palette. Please let’s ignore the context here and just look at his robes

I wasn't sure if I should rank them, so I’ll just ramble about them in order of appearance:

1. The gray “I’m the boss” one

That’s the first time we ever see him and what can I say? He does leave an impression. We see him using these robes two times, in episodes 10-11 and on the beggining of Fatal Journey, as the first picture shows, which makes me wonder: Is this his stay-at-home set of robes? ‘Cause damn

I don’t know how I should comment on the particular details of his robes but I really appreciate how wide this extra fabric layer makes his shoulders look.

Really imposing and powerful look.

2. The Sunshot incredibly beautiful "this is how you win a war" one

Look, this one might be my favorite, it has EVERYTHING

Shoulder game is strong here, and this bronze-like color goes really well with his belt. Now let's talk about his outer robe for a moment, just THE COLOR I mean it's the prettiest shade of gray I've ever seen.

Also Long Sleeves

And a CAPE. A f**king CAPE. I'll never get over this look and I'm really glad the costume department let this king wear a cape again in Fatal Journey, he was made for it.

Next comes the inner layer that's not really a robe, as you can see when he's standing, but the silver pattern is what really does it for me, guys. It's probably the first thing you see once you look down from his face, 'cause I know we all get lost on that beautiful mustache, and it's perfect.

You can’t lead a war campaign if you don’t look good, I see.

3. The "I didn't really want to be here but I’m looking good anyway" one

It's so dark, it probably reflects how he was feeling during pretty much all the scenes he's in while wearing it.

Once again he accentuates his shoulders with an extra fabric except this time his sleeves are not long at all. I personally think he looks even more handsome like this, it makes his arms look bigger. What is it called? I don't know, but it matches his belt as well.

( Is it really a belt, guys? I don't wanna disrespect but I don't even know where to start looking for names nor I know other english names for belts)

The subtle golden/bronze details on the outer robe and on the inner robe's collar contrasts really well with the black and dark gray

Sad thing he looked really miserable wearing it :c

4. The "big event he seemed ok with attending" one

Dark again. But he didn't look as depressed as in the previous one, he actually had fun that day, which is good. Enough of tears and betrayal for now.

May be the wider sleeves he ever wore, perfect for clapping his hands like a happy toddler. There's also a lovely flowery pattern on the darker robe that you can easily miss if you don't pay enough attention.

For the first time his shoulders are not accentuated by fabric or shoulder pads and it's really nice to see him like this. We all love a buff Mingjue, but CQL Mingjue is not that buff and I love him just as much.

Really elegant, not as imposing and he has every right to want to look civil for once. It may be the series' way of telling us that he's not dressed for real combat or war, who knows.

5. The "all this just for a flashback?" one

Listen, this one right here is just AMAZING

I don't understand why they dressed him so beautifully for what? 10 minutes of a flashback. I wanted to see it for more than a couple os scenes!!

Everything here is different, so this will take time.

First: His inner robe, the first one, is not the usual black, it's light gray, it's lighter than his robes actually, and we don't see him wearing it like ever again since chronologically in the series this is the first robe he wears. Does it secretly mean that all went wrong from the moment he met MY? who knows

Second: The outer robe is fancy. There’s so many details to it and it may be the lighting of the scene, but it seems to be a warmer shade of gray, doesn’t it? The golden\bronze thin strip around the silver larger strip is perfect. It kinda has the opposite effect of his shoulder pads, since it makes his shoulders look a bit smaller but it’s so very elegant.

Third: The upper part of the inner robe. I mean who gave him the right to look that good ??? It’s dark but it has golden little shapes in it!! And it kinda looks like there’s a zipper in there because of that mid section. And oh to be a single jewel resting over Sect Leader Nie’s chest...

Fourth: The bottom part of the robe is also something new. We see pleats on Huaisang’s main robes, but never on Mingjue’s until now, that’s why I took the last screenshot, nothing to do with the bloody Baxia at all. I wish we could have seen them in pretty pleated robes together.

It probably contradicts what I said about his shoulder things being a code for battle, since the first thing we see him doing with this outfit is killing some guy/puppet; but for the rest of the time he wears it is peaceful

Honestly, imagine how Meng Yao felt. It was some fairy tale thing, wasn’t it? You’re a nobody eating bread and drinking water and then this king pops up out of nowhere and defends you from bullying and offers you a job and takes you home with him?? 

6.The “kick your local murderer down the stairs” one

I don’t really know what to say about this one. The context kind of ruined it for me, but let’s try.

 It resembles the fourth outfit since it’s a really dark inner robe and a lighter and patterned outer robe. Except this one has this nice and shiny thin strips around the sleeves and the waist.

It’s pretty but not especially pretty in my opinion. If I were to rank the outfits, this one would rank last.

7. The “fighting qi deviation and needing emotional support” one

Fatal Journey, baby.

I know what I said about the second one, but this might be my favorite.  It’s practical, no long sleeves or heavy outer robes. It’s also appropriate for horse riding, wich is great. The simple, sleeveless light gray outer robe is really nice.

There’s a cape again!! And I have to say the cape looks even better now that his sleeves are tighter, the way it falls gracefully on his back is perfect. I love the way it seems to be attached to the shoulder pad too. 

The robes are simple but the thing is: The accessories are not. 

His belt is now silver and if we ignore that the production team just painted it, we can assume he has two sets of identical waist belts, one is bronze and the other is silver. Now the final touch: The shoulder pads. This is what makes this outfit the most extra of them all. It’s silver and just so, so pretty I wanna cry everytime I look at them. I mean, the layers, the dragon\beast entire head makes him look so fierce and ready for the fight.

 I wonder how comfortable they are tho.

10/10 would rank first place.

bonus: Baby Mingjue

We love a consistent king after all! Has he been wearing dark robes since he was a baby? We will never know. I love this dark yet translucent outer robe tho.

1000/10 the cutest and best dressed child out there.

Conclusion: Nie Mingjue is a fashion icon!

-I don't know what I expected s2 to open with. but danny portal incident in more detail was not it. (also, I hate to break it to you, sam, but danny's parent's bigass ghost hunting rv def chugs more gas than those vehicles, lmao. unless it runs on ectoplasm or something...)

-WHY WAS DESIREE IN THE SEWER? HAVING TEA WITH IT DOWN THERE?? Her making the giant cow come alive is a boss move, we've almost had all of my fav animals as ghosts now <3 I also don't like how sam was expecting danny to just, haunt the place so the cars wouldn't get sold? I KNOWWW I know she's 14 (and I had a very annoying phase like this, I think I mentioned in a previous post, I GET IT) but they're HIS powers, and messing with (1) dealership will not really put a dent in sales overall because they can just move the cars to another sales lot, and it certainly wont change the industry anyway, it's more of a minor annoyance for (1) location. Also, usually people who work at car sales places work on commission, so if they dont make a sale, they don't have money to pay bills, or eat. sam baby if u wanna be an activist you need to like, actually look into these things. with as much money as her parents have, she could be doing a lot..more useful things for causes she cares about? it's frustrating to see someone with resources who doesn't know how to use them. but shes 14 so again. cannot be really upset :/

I know, he also agreed and walked into the portal. but. she made the choice to redo it SO quickly (even if it was because someone had to beat desiree) and danny, during their fight, brought up a lot of stuff sam's done in the past, meaning he was holding onto those memories and resentment was building. (I KEEP SAYING HE LOWKEY NEEDS THERAPY, BUT I THINK MOST EVERYONE IN THIS SHOW KINDA DOES) which...is a red flag? and then they didnt even GO to the party URGH I know she tried to make up for it, but it really felt like Sam fucked up and barely faced any consequences and got everything she wanted in the end. I KNOW it's a kids show obv they aren't going to go too in depth, and she undid the damage, kinda, but...I DUNNO how to articulate it but it rubbed me the wrong way.

I know they always have horrible side effects as most genie-granted wishes do, but...c'mon, I'd at least TRY to be like 'I wish no ghosts would hurt anyone in my town' or 'I wish vlad would lose his ghost powers forever no matter What and also forget about my mom' LIKE. SHIT DESIREE IS SO POWERFUL. rewriting reality powerful, basically!! appreciate her. respect her.

-aww, sam helping tucker pass the nurse's office so he wouldn't see because he's afraid of medical stuff? very sweet. I also don't like medical stuff, I've gotten a lot better at handling it tho. but seeing blood and needles still makes me feel lightheaded x_x

-FOLEY, BY TUCKER FOLEY. I want to make my own perfume, that's so cool. even if his first attempt isn't good, he's pretty consistently shown to have an inventor/entrepreneur streak in the show, so like. I can see him inventing or making something (or several somethings) that make him $$$ when he grows up :) proud of my creative son

-I know the 'creepy abandoned hospital on the edge of town' is a joke and the creepy hospital trope is so Worn Out, but in my town we actually DO have a hospital like that! my dad was born in it, but its not in use and hasn't been for, like, 20 years! it needs to be torn down but I think the city doesn't wanna pay the money. the inside is horrible, spray painted and broken glass and shit everywhere. but there's still like, rusty equipment and fucking DOLLS all over the place. the cops drive by it pretty frequently to make sure no one is like, breaking in. (because of water damage, some of the areas really aren't safe. also, asbestos, but people still go in anyway) but also, some of my town was used in a filming for a stephen king show. So it's lowkey spooky all over. just a fun personal tidbit :) to lead into saying, any hospital abandoned for any period of time is NOT safe to quarantine these kids in JKSAHDKF like I KNOW it's a ghost trying to do this, but NONE of these parents are even like, 'well, why dont we keep them in the regular, working hospital'....YIKES. this hospital looks pretty accurate to the one in town. grungy and spooky.

-ghost sickness via ghost bugs. horrifying concept. I actually expected it to be a new villain, not dr. spectra again! this is a very elaborate scheme. her new form rules, love the new costume. the way none of the bg kids seem to recognize her as their old school councilor. did we just forget about that completely?

-dash watching romance movies in the fucked up ghost hospital. same.

-'oh please, you're ghosts, do you have any idea what YOU smell like?' no, tucker, what DO ghosts smell like? I genuinely didn't know they would even have a smell, I actually want to know now.

-it feels like a while since we've seen jazz!! i was happy to see her again, even if she was a head in a jar for most the episode. I want another jazz-focused ep!!

-we finally see danny doing space-related stuff!! him and his friends stargazing to open ep 3 of s2. cute :) until, GHOST PIRATES!!!!! ...ghost pirate captain is a small child?? VOICED BY TAYLOR LAUTNER???

-oh, the easy listening is ember's song instrumental slowed. 'vapor drone' THEY VAPORWAVED HER!!! ember in a pirate outfit tho >>>>. and the cruise being called m.bersback JKASDHJK. ember adopting a little pirate brother is also pretty cute. concerning this teen and little kid have such bad opinions of adults, like, who hurt you?? (how did you DIE ALSO?? im always lowkey curious about that. we know desiree died at an old age, but her ghost form is young, probably mid-20s, so I wonder how that sort of thing works...its a more mental thing, isn't it?) but ghost team-ups are always cool to see, even if ember bailed after danny took her guitar. I guess she probably thinks youngblood can handle it (which, he's been owning danny this far in the ep, so...fair)

-tucker got that sponsorship from nasty burger for their radio!!! again, opportunistic money maker king, love to see it!!!

-danny taking control of the kids SO FAST. he makes a pretty great leader. no one is surprised, im pretty sure I said I think he's the most mature of the trio, once again, correct, because he's taken on so much responsibility already. all the teens suiting up in the jumpsuits to go save the adults and taking the ship over with a BLIMP. OKAY LETS GO. this feels like it should be a mid finale or straight up finale.

-...speaking of finales. why is ep 4-5 of s2 combined into a 50 minute episode? I havent even clicked play and im concerned. weird placement, like, this season JUST started and we're getting a two parter? okay...why are the episodes placed like this? why not put this at episode 10 or something, for a mid-season thing?

The Lawyers Lies

Summary : he has it all the money, the status , respect from all those around him . The wife . He has the life everyone wants it's perfect. But he isn't. He cant help himself to himself or his wife for that matter ,this only leads to lie after lie .

The Rogers law firm was the most successful firm in all of Brokyln , all of the New York . With the leading man being one of power and strength as he had never lost a case , and built the empire he now sits on . His a boss that could easily leave his job to other but that's far form who Steve is , still takes case no matter how big or small and never loses , impressing everyone around . Yet despite the power , the life he leads you have Learnt that Steve has a caring nature and one were he protects those who cant protect themselves, that why he came into the job he is today. He has the life , the wife and as his right hand women went it comes to cases you learned to learn about Steve very well. Too well that the pit you feel in your stomach only grows more and more . And you are unable to keep your feeling in check as you have fallen for the taken caring man . But that didn't stop him from falling for you too . Or so he says .

The annual gala was in full swing . As one of the top lawyers at the firm you had to attend, as much as you didnt want to . You were wear a stunning satan black dress that flowed against your figure with a slit on on of the legs . It caught the attraction of many man that have come over to you more then once . Sending straight back were they came from as you wernt interested. You dont think you'll ever be interested in any other man that wasnt Steve Rogers . You knew it was wrong but you could help your feeling you had fallen for a married man . Your boss on top of that . This 'affair ' as much as the word sickens you because you arnt proud of it . That's what it was at the end of the day . The both of you had a little but to much whiskey as you were building a case on night and one thing lead to another. And you havnt been able to stop that night was 8 months ago . And the little crush you had , has formed into you being a women madly in love . But your not stuiped you know he would never care for you as deeply as you care for him nor would he ever leave his wife . And you were okay with that , you could live with that .

But your child cant and you want let them. The shook of what you discovered this morning is still very much with you . You dont know what you are going to do . Other then you know you have to end this with Steve and quit Rogers firm . It would be for the best . He would keep his wife and build a family with her, while you take care of your child by your self . And with that you were surprisingly okay about .

As you stood at the bar with your orange juice you were oddly becoming exited over the thought of being a single mother. You know it wouldn't be easy , but the love you had already form your infant you like nothing you have ever experienced. A smile small placed on your lips, despite knowing your child will never have a father you were okay with that , and hopeful him of her would be too .

Your smile quickly fell tho as you heard the boming chuckle of that so soothing voice you love so much . You turn your head to see as smiling steve with his wife Sharon with a wide smile as well looking up at him in awe , with his arm around her waist pulling her closer . A pang of jealousy ran through you . As a larger group appeared in front of you , you lost view of then, 'thank god '

As the the clock on the wall was almost at 11 pm you thought it was about time to leave . Well not after one last trip to the ladys . As you left the bar , you made your way through out the crowds . You turned a corner that lead to a corridor with rooms and the bathroom at the end. As if came into sight you speed up . Only to be yanked backwards you almost trip over your heels as you stumble backwards and pushed into a room . Your back hits a wall and you hear a door lock and are caged with two armed at either side of your head . It all happend quickly you couldn't process it . Until your eyed locked with two blue orbs that stared right back at you . With s sweet smile .

"Well hello there " his sweet rough voice broke . As you inhaled a sharp breath you didnt know you needed as the scent of whiskey hit you .

"Steve are you crazy, some one could of seen ..." you were silenced with his lips on your as he hands fell to your hips . This would have been a good place to end things but you didnt want to not yet anyway apart for you doesnt want it to end ,that's why you made a deal with your self 3 months tops and you would be out of Steve life. It would give you enough time for closure and prepare for your child.

As he pulled back his forehead came and rested on your "I really need to do that, if wanted to do that all night " he placed another peck on your lips "you look so beautiful in that dress "

"Your not bad your self you know " you said with a smirk making him chuckle that made your heart flip.

He took a step back "I should... I should probably get back "

You nodded with the familiar pit forming in your stomach. He cupped your cheek "but ha I'll see ya tomorrow eh ?" He said with his Brooklyn accent coming through think .

"Yeah... "

"If your not that hungover " he finished for you with a chuckle. It was far from the truth .

He place a hand on the door handle " right " he placed a chase kiss on your lips " bye love " and will that he was out the door as you stood in the dark room for what felt like an entity . Until your body gave you a reminder of where you were ment to heading. You left the room and bolted to the bathroom.

Your stomach was turing as the small of coffee hit you as you entered the building . Your arms tightly around case files as you tried to balance your self on your heels . You entered the lift only for it to be near enough full . As you step in you look round as put names to faces . Your heart drops and you see the women who has the heart of the man who has your. Sharon was standing at one side with her head down looking through her phone as you stood at the far end to avoid her and the guilt that eats you up. You still love around and calm as a tall brunette came and stood between the too of you . The lift door closes and begans to move .

" morning y/n " the brunette had a warm smile .

"Morning James " you replied .

The lift door open and you both exit the lift leaving Sharon and the others in their. As you both began to walk the corries you make small talk. About his wife and your best friend Nat . And laugh at her anitic .

"Are those the Rowln files " he pointing at the files as you almost made it to your desk .

" yes there are ... I was wondering if actually you could do me a favour ?" You ask in shy voice as the pair of you stop infrount of your desk .

"Of course , anything for family " you laugh at that since the 3 of you (nat , james and you ) don't have relative so you call each other your family .

"Ummm I was wonding if you would take the files to Rogers for me and maybe .... take over the case " you scrunched up your face.

"Are you sure. It's a big case , if would do good to anyones carrer, and I dont want to take that away from you "

You knew this. But it was apart of your plan to began distancing your self from Steve . The less cases you worked on the less time you would spend together. The easier it would be when you permanently remove your self form his life .

"I'm sure . If its okay with you . I just have other cases and I dont really care much for the publicity "

"If your sure .... " you place the files in his hand

"I'm sure!" You giggled . "Take the damn cases Barnes "

"Okay ,okay " He stepped backwards hands in the air in surrounder as he held the case files in one hand . Chuckling . " I'm sure the team and Rogers will be disappointed losing the right hand women to be replaced with me " he joked .

"Eh there get over it " you said walking around and plonted your self in your chair . As your feet and ankles already ached , you made a mental note to stop wearing heels for fbe next 8 months. You flung your hand at Bucky , "dont you have a case to build "

"Yes ma'am " he turned as walked away with the biggest smile on his face. You knew that this case would be good for his career . You too a deep breath. And brought your chair under you desk as you began the long day at work .

"Indeed I did Mr Rogers i have other cases , I think Mr Barnes would be good for this one as well as I dont very much care for the publicity. " you said honestly but missing the key reason as much as if hurt you , you needed to get away from Rogers end this . Without the words that would cause you to cry. You hope this would end with your feeling gone as your 3 months plan would unfold.

His eyes soften and place his hand on your desk to hunch over and meet your eyes

"But you are always on these cases with me " he said as a winning child .

"I'm sure Mr Barnes will be a great advantage to the team as well as your to have much fun with "

"That as much as I would with you " his whispered with a devilish smirk which caused you to have one of your own as you placed your pen down . And put your full attention to Steve .as he leaned closer in. " come and meet me tonight, usual place ya ?" He ask in his husky voice that was hard to resist.

"I cant sorry " you said as you looked back down at the file .

"What?" I stepped back with bus hands now in his pocket "why ?" He almost sounded hurt " Sharon's going on a girls night out so we have nothing to ... "

"So am I " you interrupted him.

"Oh " now you could see the hurt in his face. As you tied to ignore it . But this is what you had too do . And it's not like your lying you are going out with Nat because you knew Steve would ask . As much as it hurt you , as much as you wanted to be in his arms you needed to end this .

"Have ... have I done something...."

"I have cases to get going back to Mr Roges and I'm sure you do to " you interrupted him as you saw people approaching and he followed your gaze and gave a knowing nodded and you both tried to mask your feeling.

"Hiiiiiiiii " you heard the squeal that belonged to your best friend ,as you approach the bar she was sitting at . In the dark club with only a couple of lights lightening the surroundings

"Hi there " you took the seat next to her.

" how you been ?" The stunning redhead asks

"I'm doing good , what about you ?"

"I'm really good actually " she began then elbow your side with a smile. " thank you by the way "

"What for?" You gave her a confused look

"For giving Bucky the case . He was very VERY happy about it " she said with a wink

"Well your welcome " you chuckled

The two of you caught up on your day as the bartender approached .

"What can I get the two for you ?"

"Two shoots of tequila and two red wines please " Nat answered for you

"Um no actually " you said before the bartender could make the drinks .

"Could we have one glass of wine and a lemonade " you glanced at Nat " but keep the two tequilas "

For Nat of course , the bartender nodded and headed to make the drinks

"What of course I'm not !" You laught it off as now is not the time to spread the news no matter how much Nat is your best friend you couldn't risk her spilling in front of Bucky that would the lead to Steve .

"Some got to be driver , as well as my heads still pounding form last night " you lied .

"Oh okay, thank god " she laughed as the drinks appeared in front of you .

The night went on and the place got more crowded, Natasha had maybe too much to drink but was still standing stronge as she dragged you too the dance floor . With the bright lights you and were laughing and dancing 'who says you need to be drink to have fun '

As Nat spun you around, you stopped dead in your tracks as your eyes landed on a certain booth . With a certain blonde blue eyed man. The booth was in the darkest corner but you would notice those blue eyes anywhere. A women was sat next to him as there stared at each other with him giving her a cheeky smile . He shouldn't say yes to the offer, but he does—and is instantly plunged into a world of tangled relationships, shady deals, lots of violence, and The Power of Friendship.

Oh man. Where do I start with this. Probably with the beggining as to why do I read the all for the game serie, since its a 2013 novel ? Because well, I saw it plastered everywhere since day one on instagram. And the curious side of me wanted to dive deeper into it. At first, I wasn't sure about it and would gladly skip it, because gangster story and sports wasn't at all my thing (mind y'all that I now have 3 sports + lgbt YA book yet to read in my tbr since I've started TFC) but what a mistake ! I now consider myself a fox, even bought the paperback copies (lol I know) and I ship a lot of thing in that book. For this review though, i'll try and go as spoiler free as I can.

First of all, I love Exy. Even tho it doesn't make any sense at all, as a sport itself, I found myself imagining everything perfectly. Like imagine LaCrosse, but with hockey's violent part and that is amazing. That's how I pictured Exy and that's how I would play it. But let's put that aside in favor of talking about the cast. What I have to say first is that I didn't know you could put so much side story in a book without it being too much ! Every or so key character got their own moment of glory through the serie and that's amazing. You could believe the whole plot would be centered around Neil Josten, as the synopsis is implying, but no! it became from time to time more a snippet of the other of the team and man that is story telling and character developpement at its finest.

I won't lie, my first impression of the book would have been, as I saw a lot of fantastic fanart that would imply it, that Neil and Andrew would fall in love together in the cheekiest way possible and then they would be okay together and live happily ever after, but how I was wrong and how I ship it ! I want more story with a clingy but not so much relationship ! (But maybe not centered around abuse, because that suck).

Anyway, I will try to summarize everything in less than an actual book and start with the main plot. It's actually an awful start of a plot, since we talk about a runaway child being signed in the worst team of the Class I exy team. (And the fuck how they magically start to win everything after Neil arrival and despite everything that happen to them between the three books. How do they do that ?! ) then come into the equation the Edgar Allan's Raven. A whole team of archnemesis to the Foxes. Dun dun Duuunn !

For most part, Exy is useless for the main plot and just an unpleasant distraction from the important part, which is Riko Moriyama being an assbutt and Kevin Day a crybaby. Okay no. They are, but it's far more complicated than that. The more I wrote down that review, the more I realise that the plot is sh*t, but what makes this story interesting is the craving to know what the fuck is happening, from this constant need to believe that the love affair between Neil and Andrew is going to end in something completly different that the unholy thing it is in the first few half of the two first book. (We are far from this bullcrap of hater to lover rag, since it's more about Andrew and Neil’s relationship is based around physical expressions of affection and respect, as opposed to verbally lovey dovey stuff) to the need to know if one of them is going to get killed (hint; there is definitly some killing involved, this is a damn gangster story after all)

I gave it 5 stars because it got me hooked, not because that's the best story ever. Mind y'all, because AFTG serie is just like reading an AU fanfic, well kinda. But probably because of the character developement. As I said earlier in this exact review, I love how everyone has their part of the story, even Riko and Jean at some point, that are in the opposite team (the baddies). I also love how you unravel certain mystery through the books. It's not about a reckless teenager afraid of living, but about a whole group (team) being challenged by life and the weight that carry each of them.

Is it worth reading? I'd say yes, because it get better. Surprisingly, I want another book too. Just for the sake of knowing what would happen at court.
