i was also definitely looking forward to more with foolish and dream and/or xd, there was a lot of potential there with that whole web of characters!!

off the top of my head my two biggest “god why couldn’t I have gotten more / an answer on this” are 1) FOOLISH AND ERET POST RED BANQUET as well as general followthrough on the set up of eret’s past with foolish, and 2) why was c!ranboo (enderwalk version?) at the red banquet like what was the deal there. did that ever get a followup or like was he just hanging

I saw someone on Twitter (I know, yuck) say that the Red Banquet was cool and awesome so many ppl were there, but, it felt too planned out. And here are my thoughts on the matter: (they’re very disorganized and this is gonna be kinda long, sorry)

This Egg lore has been building since like December right? (I only joined the fandom in January but I’ve done my research) And Bad and Ant have been planning for ages. But having only one of the guests stream the event (Puffy) made it feel less of a big deal. I would’ve loved seeing Eret, Niki, Foolish, Fundy, etc. POVs and their thoughts throughout the event. So the build up hasn’t felt like it paid off yet.

It felt too planned. I do agree with that. It felt like Hannah’s betrayal wasn’t really a surprise. Like everyone had been told. Quackity showing up with Techno and Purpled (which was in fact really cool) felt like Bad had simply been stalling his speech for them to show up.

They should’ve been able to kill more ppl. While sure it would suck, only having Foolish be sacrificed to the egg and then immediately the fight back happens. (However, the fact that Foolish essentially sacrificed himself for Eret, is basically doing exactly what a totem of the undying is supposed to do, is an incredible and very cool thing I think) Anyways, they should’ve killed more ppl.

Length. Okay. The event was too short lived. Puffy, Ant and Bad were live for less than an hour. And while lore streams are generally much shorter than regular streams, the event it self felt short lived. It’s been in the works for ages. Having the pre-banquet preparations from Puffy (and other attendees if they had streamed it) could’ve made the start feel less like waiting around.

Length Pt.2. The dinner should’ve been longer. Tbh I think all aspects shoulda been longer. The dinner didn’t really happen. It would’ve been a better twist if they got to eat and have tense conversation rather than a few speeches ending the the lava walls descending. If they got through dinner thinking “huh. Maybe it isn’t a trap after all”would’ve made the twist feel more real even though we all saw it coming. I’ve already said they should’ve been able to kill more ppl. It would’ve made it feel way more sever and scary to the rest of the server as well if they hear of the blood bath that happened at the red banquet. The fight. The fight should have at least had one casualty. Techno should have been tasked with protecting the remaining attendees but failed to protect Niki, which could have good potential for more interaction between the two in the Syndicate. It felt (I’m really using that word a lot yikes) as though it was just yelling. After Ant died, Puffy kept running, Techno wasn’t really fighting, neither was anyone else. There should’ve been more real danger.

Attendees. Okay, first, Sapnap. Now, I wasn’t on the stream when it happened, but I’ve seen the clip where it’s made clear that Sapnap was invented and told to “bring friends”. Of Sap had been there, hoooooooooo boy would it have added a WHOLE OTHER LAYER of tragedy to Bad’s story and would’ve brought Sap more into the lore. Since canonically Sapnap is Bad’s son, it means he was willing to kill his son. Sacrifice his own kid. (Someone tweeted that and Bad even liked it sooooo, Yeah. Yikes) (Oh god. I’m gonna make a separate post about what if Sap had been there) Other attendees: I would have LOVED to see other POVs. Niki, Fundy, Foolish. They woulda been great. Even if they didn’t get to be in the middle of the action. It would have felt like a bigger event. We could have gotten different insight. Who was sceptical of the whole thing? Who truly wanted to believe the Egg was backing off?

But anyways. The biggest thing. Was that the reactions didn’t feel genuine. Obviously we all saw the twist that it wasn’t really a banquet of peace. That was the obvious part. However, Hannah’s betrayal was a toss up. It was possible but we couldn’t have been sure. However it seemed like everyone had been told ahead of time. The way Quackity showed up with both Techno AND Purpled was super fuckin cool yet the reaction felt small. The fight didn’t feel real enough. And while I know Canon Deaths are planned events, it doesn’t mean they have to be too sheepish with the fighting around it.

Overall, good streams. Cook event. Cool twists. I could go on about the cool shit from The Red Banquet, especially with Ranboo in his special skin sneaking around in the rafters and the vines. But yeah, there are my many disorganized thoughts :)

Things we know

- Quackity is not working alone. There are at least two others involved. Their identities unknown at this time. One could potentially be Sam but no confirmation.

- The hooded/shadowed figures are similar to the one that appeared in Fundy's dream. Fundy's dreams are sort of a flash of futuristic events that could happen. There was a warning to stay away from Quackity/Las Nevadas (perhaps) as well as the sound of slot machines. Perhaps Quackity will/has already approached Fundy.

- Sometime before/after his meeting with Bad at Las Nevadas in the first stream, 48 hours before his prison visit so possibly before, Quackity attempted to destroy the Egg. It did not work. And now the Egg is immune to explosions completely. Also Quackity did not set off the TNT.

- The Red Banquet is approaching. At this time the invites were issued to Sam, Puffy, and Foolish. (If others please add)

- Sam is very obviously NOT OKAY.

- Schlatt is still in Las Nevadas. Potentially lost the bet with Quackity and is now stuck there.

- The texts on Tubbo's streams. Started appearing after Nuke was stolen/lost.

- Missing Nuke from Snowchester. Potentially stolen but also potentially thrown to sea, (a strange metal washed up.... it poisons the nature)

- The threat of radiation poisoning. (From said Nuke)

- There has been no dying nature on the main Dream SMP. Tubbo did say that it would not melt/affect the snow biomes so cannot confirm effects in snow biomes unless snow is removed (if memory is correct)

-Torture of Dream... potentially has been happening for longer that said amount of days. Seasonal changes in Quackity stream leads towards potentially years. (Unconfirmed)

- Wilbur Soot was going coocoo for coco puffs a lot sooner/earlier than anyone realized. (perhaps they did but refused to believe it because he was supposed to be the hero/good guy when compared against Dream)

- The next Syndicate meeting should be interesting.

- The Favor is still in play.

Things we do not know

- Is Dream even still alive? "We could kill him in prison and no one would know. We could just tell everyone he can't have any visitors ever." This is a scary sentence that came from Sam.

- George and God? What's going on here?

- Ranboo and the Enderwalk. How? If? Why? When? Where? Involvement. (if any)

- Who stole the nuke?

- When will Technoblade will come back from the war/revolution of the Hypixel server?

- Connor?

- Is Ghostbur still Ghostbur?

- How accurate are Fundy's dreams?

- What's in the North? How far North?

- Who does the text belong to? Referring to? Las Nevadas? Anarchist Commune? Is it Schlatt?
