And I continue again with another OC ask thing that nobody but myself asked.
Because it's fun!
This time again with Sammy, the walking contradiction! A vampire hunter turned vampire against her will!
Because I love her--
vvvvvvvvvvvvvvv This gal vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
Tumblr media
1. Are you superstitious?
SM: That would mean putting my fate in the hands of someone or something else. No.
2. Would you be phased about walking under a ladder?
SM: No.
3. What would you do if a black cat crossed your path?
SM: ...Nothing? What does it matter?
4. How would you react if you broke a mirror?
SM: Depends on who it belonged to.
5. Do you avoid any certain number? If so, which ones? Why?
SM: Not a fan of 7... dunno why. It makes me mad.
6. What's your favorite cryptid?
SM: If there's any that doesn't mess with people, then that one. Otherwise, I hate all of 'em.
7. Would you ever go cryptid hunting? If so, why?
SM: ...You're asking me? The vampire hunter? Gee, I wonder why I do it?!
8. What do you think about ghosts?
SM: Depends on the type. Some are tragic, others not so much.
SM: Johnny knows more about this kind of stuff. I just do my job.
9. Have you ever seen a ghost?
SM: ...What're ya, a cop? Not telling.
10. Have you ever gone ghost hunting? If so, why?
SM: ...Yes, I have. Because it's kind of necessary for me-- us. Its annoying that I have to state that out loud, thought it'd be obvious.
11. What do you think about magic? Are you generally in favor or against it?
SM: Cheating. Dirty tricks for cowards that can't do anything by themselves. It corrupts the mind and leads you to become complacent. That's why THEY use it.
12. Do you know any magic? If so, is it a natural or learned skill?
SM: Even if I know it, that doesn't mean I'd use it. Or want to use it. Much rather put my trust in steel and silver.
13. What would you say would be your favorite use of magic?
SM: The only good use of magic is keeping it locked up.
14. Have you ever made a deal with a magical or supernatural entity?
SM: IT. WAS. NOT. A DEAL.
15. What form would your familiar take?
SM: A grenade. So I can blow it up alongside my target, and never see it again.
16. Have you ever traveled into the past, and so, what did you change?
SM: No. If only...
17. Have you ever traveled into the future, and if so, how was it like?
SM: No. The only future I have is in the grave, once this is all over.
18. Have you ever had a prophetic vision or dream, and if so, what was it like?
SM: None that I recall.
19. Have you ever had an astral projection or out of body experience?
SM: No. Johnny says he has though, and with how weird that kid is, its probably true.
20. Have you ever visited another plane of reality or existence, and if so, what was it like?
SM: No.
21. Have you ever attended a seance or used a ouija board? What happened?
SM: I think I did it once with my old friends. The details are... blurry, though.
22. Do you keep things like salt, garlic or silver on hand for defensive purposes?
SM: Salt is more Johnny's thing. Says it's spiritual protection or something. Can never go wrong with some silver, though. Punch a good hole into a bloodsucker with ease. The garlic thing though? Totally fake. If its not blood, they can't smell it.
23. Have you ever cleansed your surroundings with sage or holy water?
SM: Again, more Johnny's thing. I can't even stand the thought of holy water.
24. Do you believe in the existence of extraterrestrials? If so, why?
SM: I didn't believe Johnny at first, but then I saw them.
25. Do you believe in any conspiracy theories? And if so, which ones and why?
SM: When you're unaware of what's goin' on behind the curtain, it's easy to discard any theory as baloney. Take a peek, and you'll never doubt again.
26. What would you do if you came face to face with a rabid zombie?
SM: Same as I do with any bloodsucker. Fill it with silver, then tear it apart limb by limb. My only regret would be not being able to make it suffer more.
27. Would you allow a vampire into your home?
SM: My father did. Once.
28. Have you ever witnessed a werewolf transformation?
SM: Yeah. It was like watching vampirification take place in the span of a couple of seconds.
29. How likely is it that you would be charmed and fall prey to mermaids?
SM: Null. Flesheaters are the same as bloodsuckers. No mercy for either.
30. What supernatural creature would you most prefer to be?
SM: Anything else, but this.
you: me: me: here’s a weird oc ask meme involving various mysterious, supernatural, and paranormal subjects that you can fill out on your own or with the help of your followers 👽✌

Sailor Song (Alessia Russo x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Joining Arsenal WFC was supposed to be the best thing for your footballing career, you were the best female footballer in the world after all. You didn't expect the unexpected longing of a certain blonde that came with it. (Hi! I've never written fan fics before but I was inspired by some I read and thought why not?! i hope you like it, i honestly might delete later or return it to drafts if I can? or even a pt 2??? idk lmk if you want more! enjoy. do I need to add warnings>....suggestive? angst? )
Recalling the exact moment when it happened was difficult to comprehend, maybe because you tried to completely erase the moment from your memory. You felt embarrassed, ashamed, and even a little disgraced with yourself. Why did you have to like another girl, a straight girl, who definitely didn't feel the same?!
Joining Arsenal this season was exactly what both parties wanted - you needed a change in scenery, and they wanted - no needed - a more clinical finisher like yourself. Everyone at the team was especially welcoming, considering your intimidating resume of accolades at such a young age - taking the women's football world by storm. You got on with everyone on the team, especially the Aussies, Kyra, Steph and Caitlin - being Australian yourself. But one particular teammate stood out to you the most, for more reasons than one.
You'd never forget the first day you finally saw and met the Alessia Russo in person, after admiring her from afar for about a year. She was absolutely beautiful, incredibly captivating and alluring. Words couldn't explain how you felt when you saw her at training, or heard her laugh or when she would smile - which was always. The way your heart hammered against your chest, it felt like you couldn't breathe, the butterflies in your stomach erupted like crazy. These feelings, they just felt...right. She made you feel so giddy and happy.
Although the thrill of this girl crush was very exciting, a part of you couldn't help but feel extremely ashamed. You were not supposed to like a teammate, let alone girls. You couldn't help but admire her gorgeous blue eyes, her long lashes, her soft voice, and her long blonde hair as you smiled shyly and shook her perfectly manicured hand, introducing yourself. Her southern british accent made you weak in the knees. "I can't wait to share the pitch with you this season."
You were absolutely certain that no one knew about this infatuation, crush or admiration, or how down bad you were - whatever you wanted to call it - with Alessia Russo. It was just so easy to get along with her, your calm natured and laid-back personalities working well together. Both sharing certain things in common, attending the same college in the US for football at different years, your love for fashion, travelling, and similar music tastes. She was just so sweet, genuine, caring, and just a ray of sunshine - you couldn't get enough. The chemistry you both had was clearly evident on the pitch also, as your styles of play complemented each other perfectly; turning arsenal's season around with each match.
It scared you how you strongly you felt about her, as she probably had no idea about the effect she had on you, and above all, probably didn't feel the same. And now you were going to continue to play alongside her and work with her nearly every day this season. You'd eagerly wait to see your cheerful teammate and greet her happily weekly at training. It was a blessing and a curse, but it was something that kept you going.
Hiding your sexuality was something you had no trouble dealing with initially as you just constantly immersed yourself with the football: whether it was with routine season interviews, the sponsorship photoshoots, the constant training or the glamorous award shows - it kept you busy, a distraction which led to you further cementing your place as the best young women's footballer in the world. It's not anything anyone really expected of you anyway, to like girls. Besides, you never spoke about personal matters to the media, so no one really assumed anything at first. Which was a plus.
You'd constantly make excuses to avoid going out with friends away from football, who wanted to enjoy a night on the town, bragging about the boys they'd make out with at clubs, or the crushes they had on them. Not that you could relate though, but a part of you wished you could feel that sense of normalcy. To fit in, to relate. No one had no idea what you were going through or how you felt. It got harder to find excuses to deny random set ups with guys. Your feelings for Alessia were actually driving you to insanity, you were most likely going through an identity crisis - but you were still in denial.
However, the longer you concealed your true feelings and the harder you tried to deny it, you found it harder each and every day hiding how you felt about the certain blonde. It became more difficult to suppress your feelings, you wanted to talk to someone, - anyone - but you were afraid with how they would react if they found out. Besides you weren't going to embarrass yourself if she didn't even feel the same, what would be the point of coming out anyway right?!
But maybe you should've controlled yourself. You should have ignored her, distanced yourself even. It was fine though, you were just acknowledging that fact she was really gorgeous, and you weren't crushing on her - or so you told yourself. But the not-so-subtle glances at her during the training sessions said otherwise.
The glancing became constant, admiring her whenever she'd move with or without the ball or take a drink of water during break. You just couldn't help but admire her longingly. Thinking of believable excuses when being called out by the outspoken Katie McCabe became more difficult to articulate. You were certain Alessia was oblivious to this, and she was - for the time being.
It was supposed to be a post game interview focusing on the team's accomplishments this current season, given the difficulties the team faced at the beginning of the year. You expected to answer questions about your valuable contributions to the match and the squad, not some irrelevant, personal, stupid, phased, feelings that had nothing to do with football.
The lights were brighter than usual in the media room, you were riding a high after your incredible individual and team's performance. You couldn't stop smiling. Sitting in the media room alongside your captain Kim Little, you felt proud and finally content with yourself. You felt as if you were finally contributing to a team, a team that was winning. A distraction for the time being.
That is, until the question was asked.
You will never forget the way your stomach dropped at the question, the silence in the media room, the smirk on the reporters' face. He knew he struck a nerve as the colour drained from your face, you were no longer smiling. You're not sure why the question was asked or what value it had to the match you had just played, or above all - why this reporter was permitted into the the media room anyway asking such inconceivable questions.
You shook your head awaking from the absolute shock and audacity of the reporter. There is no way this is really happening right now. You were media trained - you got this. Totally.
'Could you please repeat the question?' You asked politely into the mic, besides the fact that your was voice now quiet and shaky as you squirmed in your seat, refusing to look at the reporter. He noticed your uneasy reaction, and pressed on, knowing there is more to what your letting on.
"Can you address the rumours within the women's football community that you currently have romantic feelings for your teammate, Alessia Russo?"
"What?! That's ridiculous. Next question."
Maybe you responded to that too quickly, way too quickly for it not to be suspicious as you dismissed him. To your knowledge, and last time you checked, you hadn't come out, you hadn't revealed how you felt about her to anyone - especially not Alessia, and you were certain someone as beautiful as her was taken - surely.....right?
Your throat was going to constrict, no doubt, your breathing becoming heavier and faster, your ears turning a bright red and your leg begins to bounce. Your eyes dart around the room. "How is this football related?" your captain Kim interjects, sensing your uncomfortable state as you fidget on the spot and find it hard to remain composed. She herself looks confused.
Both your heart and mind race. Who told them? How do they know? Where did they even think of something like that? They can't know. Does Alessia know?
You were widely aware that this post-game press conference was currently live. This didn't make the situation better. "Is there really nothing going on? You seem pretty flustered. Besides, you didn't deny it did you?" He smirked, a chorus of chuckles emerging from around the room.
"Stop instigating." The words pour out of your mouth defensively before you can stop them, let alone even comprehend what is going on. You can hear your heart beat in your ears.
"I'm not instigating anything, just trying to get the truth out of you. Why don't you start being honest? Show the world who you really are."
Your body shakes with frustration and panic, you can't do this anymore. You rush out of the media room, holding back tears of frustration. This is absolutely ridiculous you think to yourself, barging open the door of the locker-room, ignoring the looks from your teammates.
Silence fills the room, you look up at the television, seeing Kim still in the media room - the broadcast was indeed live. Shit. Alessia, along with everyone else definitely saw it. Shit. You freeze up.
Steph, your teammate turns to you "Hey, are you okay?" You refuse to say anything - afraid your voice might crack, further revealing your vulnerability. You refuse to make eye contact with anyone, especially Alessia. Steph senses the inner turmoil your enduring, and gestures everyone out of the locker-room.
You sit there with your head in your hands, as tears threaten to fall. You didn't reveal much in the post-match interview, so everything is fine right? But maybe thats the problem. You didn't deny anything technically - further exposing and embarrassing yourself and probably Alessia. You fail to notice she's still in the locker-room.
You look up slowly, locking eyes. Her ocean blue eyes bore into yours, a glimpse of concern and curiosity. "Can we talk?" She questions softly. Shit
"No thank you, I'd rather not." You say stubbornly, packing your wash bag quickly as she sits down next to you. You had to get out, you had to get away from her.
Alessia is surprised by your nonchalant response. "Lets just talk about this, please?" She says softly in a pleading voice, her eyes looking up, trying to lock with yours.
"I'm sorry." You say quietly, packing your bag and making your way towards the exit of the locker-room as fast as you can. You actually couldn't fathom that this was happening. Is this some sick joke?!
Alessia is concerned and saddened by your dismissive tone, she can tell that this whole situation has negatively affected you and is eating away at you. "Don't be sorry." She says softly, standing up. "It can be hard times, but I just want to understand whats going on. You clearly feel something. Something about me."
You stop in your tracks and turn around to face her, she makes her way towards you her eyes never leaving yours. Your heart aches, and she can see the adoration and the longing that you have for her in your eyes, behind internal conflict and self-hate.
"You're not a bad person. You know that I won't look at you differently." She whispers, pleading with you, trying to lock eyes with yours. "Please don't shut me out. I care about you, so much."
Alessia doesn't wait for a response. She steps closer to you now, closer the distance slowly. Your panting heavily, still refusing to look at her in the eyes, petrified you'd get lost in her ocean eyes. Terrified your eyes will reveal more than your words did in the press conference only moments ago. She can't feel the same. She doesn't.
She gently grabs your hand, interlocking your fingers with her ones. You feel as if you're going to have a heart attack, her touch sending bolts of electricity through your body. She can sense you're avoiding eye contact still.
"Hey, look at me" she whispers, staring at your now very flustered face, looking at you intently. Her eyes filled with concern, worry and something else, something you can't quite make out, something you've never seen from her before.
You still avoid her gaze, until she cups your cheek. You lock eyes with hers and you feel like you could die.
"just, look at me" she whispers once more, gently stroking your cheek bone with the pad of her thumb "thats it, just look at me."
Before you can stop yourself, the words fall out of your mouth in a whisper "i am. how can I not?" You let out a shaky breath at that, noticing her lips curl into a small smile, her eyes following your gaze down to her own lips.
"i know, I know you do, I see you" she whispers in response, moving closer to your face now, both your breaths mingling. Your heart continues to pound, her thumb gently traces your jawline, her eyes locked onto yours with an intensity you’ve never seen before.
Its as if time has stopped. Your heart is pounding so hard against your ribcage you might have a heart attack. But her presence, the way shes looking at you, her voice, her touch—it makes sense in ways you never expected.
And then, just as you think you can’t handle the intensity any longer, she leans in. Were you about to kiss the girl you've been in love with for so long now.....

Just drive
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warning: none
characters: jude x fem!reader
summary: when your water breaks but he doesn't know how to drive to take you to the hospital
may contain spelling and translation errors!
It was a typical summer day in Madrid, the sun was shining brightly, and the heat seemed to increase by the minute. You, nine months pregnant, were relaxing on the couch with the fan on, trying to ease the discomfort of the final stretch of your pregnancy. Your big belly was proof that Amala was almost here, and you already felt a mix of anxiety and excitement at being so close to meeting your daughter. Jude, attentive to your every move, approached you every few minutes, asking if you needed anything, if you wanted water, if everything was okay. Even with his anxiety and care, he couldn't hide his nervousness about the upcoming birth.
—Honey, I'm fine, stop looking at me like I'm going to explode at any moment!
You laughed, seeing your husband's worried look.
—It's not that, but... what if it explodes? I mean, what if... —He hesitated, scratching the back of his neck. —What if your water suddenly breaks?
You laughed more, already used to his exaggerated concerns.
—I'll let you know, don't worry.
But ironically, that's exactly what happened moments later. You felt a strong contraction and then...water running down your legs. Your water had broken.
—Jude...
You called, trying to stay calm as you felt the wave of pain increase.
Jude, who was in the kitchen, dropped the glass of water he was holding when he heard the serious tone in your voice. He ran into the living room and found you with your eyes closed, breathing deeply, trying to deal with the pain.
—Is...is it now?
He asked, his eyes wide.
You nodded, still breathing deeply.
—Yeah. She's coming.
That was enough for Bellingham to panic. He started pacing back and forth, grabbing his cell phone, putting his hands on his head, clearly not knowing what to do.
—Okay, breathe, Jude, breathe! I just need to take you to the hospital, that's all! I just...uh...where are the car keys? I'll drive!
Between contractions, you looked at him and noticed the despair on his face. It was true, he didn't know how to drive. In the rush of moving to Madrid and with the intense routine of games, he had never taken the time to learn. You were the one who always drove, which wasn't a problem... until now.
—Jude... you don't know how to drive...
You said, with a mix of concern and pain.
—But you can't drive like that! Not when you're... with... with Amala coming.
He started gesturing, trying to find a solution.
The pain increased, and you grimaced. Even in the midst of the chaos, you tried to stay calm.
—Babe, I'll guide you... you'll have to... you'll have to try.
With a mix of desperation and determination, he helped you get up and, together, you walked to the car parked in the garage. You, still in pain, sat in the passenger seat, while Jude took the wheel for the first time.
—It's okay, honey. Just… just stay calm.
You said, trying to focus between contractions.
Jude took a deep breath, adjusted the seat and the steering wheel, but his hands were shaking. He started the car and looked at you as if waiting for some confirmation that everything was okay.
—Jude, step on the brake before putting it in gear. That’s it, that’s it… now take it easy, don’t rush, just go.
The car moved slowly through the garage, and you tried to hold back your laughter, mixed with the pain and the surreal situation. With every meter traveled, Bellingham concentrated as if he was about to score a decisive goal.
—Babe, just… go straight. It’s not that hard, just relax…
You said between contractions, trying to stay calm for him.
Jude murmured softly to himself, a kind of mantra to keep from panicking. You finally reached the street, and he accelerated a little more, but with the same excessive caution of someone driving for the first time.
—Jude, can you go a little faster… I… I need to get to the hospital before Ama…
You said, trying to breathe between words.
—Okay, okay....I'm going.
He sped up a little, but any slower car seemed like an insurmountable obstacle to him. It was as if he was facing the biggest match of his life.
Halfway there, a new wave of pain took over you, and in reaction you squeezed your boyfriend’s arm tightly. He looked at you quickly, worried.
—Sweetheart, are you okay? I… I’m driving as fast as I can.
—Jude Victor, focus on the road, please! Just… just get there.
After a few streets, you finally saw the hospital. With one last awkward turn and a somewhat crooked parking lot, Jude managed to stop the car in front of the emergency entrance. He ran out of the car, calling for help, while you tried to keep your breathing under control, already relieved to be there.
Nurses arrived quickly, putting you in a wheelchair and starting to guide you inside. Jude held your hand until the last moment, making it clear how much he was with you, even without knowing how to deal with the situation.
—Sorry, Y/n… I didn't know driving would be so… so complicated!
He said, his voice still shaking.
You smiled, despite the pain.
—Jude, you did a great job. Now… go ahead, come meet our little girl.

Operation Blabbermouth AKA Tell it to a Speedster (it backfires)
Inspired by this video on TikTok because it fits so well
The Flashes despite maintaining a secret identity of terrible liars. Sometimes their mouths just work faster than their brains and they just accidentally blurt out secrets. Nothing identity compromising or life threatening, they make sure to keep a lid on it then. But anything else? It's free game.
Examples include:
Bart accidentally blurting that Grandma Iris is pregnant with his dad and Aunt Dawn
Barry changing the past and creating a diverging timelines by saying something he shouldn't have when accidentally time travelling
Wally confessing his feelings for Dick in the middle of a nervous ramble
Point is, if you want information spread (to get the rumour mill running hah or otherwise), you tell it to a Speedster.
Which is exactly why Tim told Bart about his not-so platonic feelings for Kon.
Bart: Dude, that's so crash. How are you gonna tell him?
Tim: Well Bart, I just did.
Bart:
Bart: What?
Tim: I told you. And no way you're going to be able to keep it a secret so...
Bart: Did... Did you tell me about your feelings for Kon so that you didn't have to tell him yourself?
Tim: Yes. That's exactly what I did.
And look, Bart loves his leader. Tim has always been there for Bart, so it's only fair he does the same. But he was expecting more of an "I'll save you from the brink of death" or an "it's you and me against the world" type deal, not an "I'm using your blabbermouth to confess my feelings because communication is hard when you're a Bat" situation.
You can't blame him for being a little miffed.
And really, Tim should've thought this through. (Surprising, is Tim losing his edge?) He essentially gave Bart permission to tell anyone about his little crush.
So that's exactly what he's going to do.
Everyone but Kon.
After all, it's a lot easier to keep a secret if everyone but one already knows.

Bloodwrath duo thoughts because I’ve been thinking about how their dynamic/friendship could look like
Delta engineering and Horror lingers. Delta gives him any metal or scraps he has while he works that he needs broken down or destroyed and Horror does so with his bone cleaver
Horror keeps post it notes about things he noticed about Delta and didn’t want to forget, like likes, dislikes. Or how to annoy him but not piss him off too much when they banter
Horror noticed Delta’s streaks under his sockets aren’t eyeliner but actually leak with his own melting insides and keeps wet wipes in his pockets. Even though he forgot why he put them there in the first place, or when he puts a new pack there, he always notices the streaks being leaks and offers Delta a few
Sharing amusement in the suffering of others (Delta doesn’t unless they deserve it or are bad people in his eyes); Horror doesn’t care who suffers misfortune as long as it entertains him. When Delta travels to AUs to help save them, Horror occasionally tags along to help—mostly set up complex traps or games to torment their adversaries
Horror and Delta suffer chronic pain. Horror constantly with his migraines from his skull and Delta with his arms, legs, and eyes straining from overuse of Bravery. (I HC Delta pushed himself too far and needed to amputate and replace his arms and legs with robotic extremities). They go swimming or on walks together to help deal with it
Given Delta’s “justice by any and all means” belief and Horror’s own messed up cynicism, both enjoy dark humor and often crack up at jokes that have eavesdroppers stare or quickly leave in discomfort
Horror has trouble eating and Delta often forgets to eat/doesn’t care about it. Both make each other keep up with consistent meals by eating together or with the rest of the Chromatic Crew. They both carry around snacks and whenever one starts snacking, they offer the other the snack and share it. Often helping finish the other’s food or make themselves eat because of the other doing so

Hiii just wondering if you could please translate this interview Maria gave about Franco? https://youtu.be/AqMKHpuQHLw?si=l9pbKdUVwM52dMuY
Sure, here it is! I skipped a few less interesting parts. For those who don't know, María is one of his 2 managers.
About the 2025 rumors: "All those rumors circulating about Franco signing for a seat are 100% not true. There isn't anything signed. I don't know if you've seen Jamie's [Franco's second manager] tweet saying 'Thanks for the info [about Franco confirmed at Red Bull] how strange, you found out before I did!'. For now Franco is a Williams driver, we have 3 races left with them and at the moment we're in Williams. James himself said he's negotiating with other teams, it's a discussion between teams that I can't say much because I don't know. There is a wish for Franco to stay in F1 in 2025, from so many people: his fans, us, the F1 itself would love for him to continue, Williams themselves are pushing to make it possible. If that wish becomes a reality we'll announce it when it happens for sure. For now, there is not any signed contract."
"I admire Franco so much. The way he's been dealing with the pressure and exigency of F1 is admirable. I was sure it was going to be like this, but he's still 21 years old, working with the mindset of a much older person. The physical and emotional effort he's putting in is impressive."
About how they take much more care of Franco now: "In F1, the only difference is that the exposure is many times higher. Now Jamie and I pay much more attention to the way this is affecting him, how he deals with this exposure and everything that's been happening to him. In that sense, the good and bad things have intensified a lot. So we are keeping an eye on him almost every second, both on and off the track."
About Franco meeting fans and signing their stuff even after Sunday's race: "That's just his nature. We spent the entire weekend hearing crazy stories of people who traveled to Brazil from Argentina by motorbike, people who didn't even have a ticket for the race, people getting wet in the rain. And he was incredibly moved, he felt that very intensively, saying 'what a wonderful thing is happening to me, look at all those people!'. From the paddock we all could constantly hear their chants, songs and screams, and everyone else was like 'what is going on?! what is this?!'. That is super positive for Franco, he couldn't stop coming out, he just wanted to go out and greet them. Obviously by the look of his face, his mood, he wasn't very excited at that moment, but he didn't want to stop giving back just a little bit of their constant support. He's still the same person [as before F1]. After the race he went out with that [sad] face, because he thought 'all those poor people, coming all the way to Brazil and look at what happened'. He felt like he had to do it for them, saying it's for all these people that he has to do well."
"We would've loved to be at the banderazo. Picture this: before leaving we even had to buy an extra suitcase just for all the gifts Franco received this weekend. It's been incredible."
About the impact of Franco's fans on F1: "I don't know if you've seen it, but now the Instagram account of F1 has been posting in Spanish (targeted to hispanic countries). I don't remember the F1 ever making such an amount of posts in Spanish before. This means that the F1 is embracing with gratefulness this community, these new argentinian fans and everyone Franco's bringing in."
About Brazil GP: "It was tough, it started tough and it ended tough. Considering it was an unknown track for him, his first time there, the tricky rain conditions we had, if I go back to all the sessions I think Franco was quite fast, even though he couldn't try the inters until the race because of his crash in quali. So I'm happy with the work he's done, considering he's a rookie, it was his 6th race, the wet unknown track, he did a good job. At the end there was too much water, in the straight there were two big rivers. Unfortunately he aquaplaned in one of them and lost the car, there was nothing else he could do. It can happen to you, like it happened to him and many others, or it can't. So it happened, the conditions weren't good and there isn't anything to throw in his face by my part."
About his relationship with his race engineer and their radio in Brazil: "It's always like this, maybe Franco has an opinion and Gaëtan has another, sometimes they agree but the most important part is that they win and lose together. Franco and Gaëtan will win and lose together, in the good and bad times. We'll never know what would've happened if they had listened to Franco [about him repeatedly asking for wet tyres before his crash]. The point is that him and Franco have a great connection, he trusts a lot in his criteria and this hasn't changed at all. They're always together in the simulator, now going for Vegas and thinking about the future."
About Franco feeling bad for the mechanics after his crash: "He wanted to be there helping in any way he could. I don't know what other drivers do but Franco is very affectionate with all the members of his team and greets them every morning, says goodbye to everyone every night, he has a special connection with them. His biggest worry was the effort they had to put to fix his car so he was constantly coming in and out of the garage, asking if he could help with anything, supporting them and thanking them."
About his relationship with Alex and the overall climate in Williams: "The best thing is that it's like a small family. It's our first F1 team so we can't really compare, but it feels good to work there, it doesn't feel like you're in F1 and feels like we're still in MP [F2]. Everyone is lovely and it's a pretty family-like climate."

peppermint gingerbread latte please
oh and a cupcake too. whatever the special flavor is
OKAY THIS WAS SO CUTE
Close to the coast of the Day Court held the only tropical landscape in all the solar courts. Densely packed forests with trees over twenty feet wide lay just a day’s travel from the beaches of Day. It is also where the second oldest Vanserra, Leif, was accompanied by his uncle Lucien in search of a very special frog.
Leif was much more of an outdoor explorer than either of his parents had anticipated, but nothing brought him more joy than exploring the woods around the Forest House. At only seven years old, he had made his own trails through the woods, often documenting what creatures he saw as soon as he returned home.
On rainy days, he preferred spending his time inside, playing with his siblings until they became too much for him. He would retreat to his own room, looking through his library of books.
His uncle had joined them for dinner a few days ago. Leif had been mostly quiet during the meal, letting his siblings chatter on endlessly to Lucien about their day. It wasn’t until Lucien had mentioned a researcher from Autumn coming to Day to look at wild golden dart frogs that Leif had begun a barrage of questions.
It was comical how quickly he came back to life when the topic of frogs came up, this particular species one he just read about in a book but could not fathom what they looked like.
At his nephew’s interest, Lucien couldn’t help offering to take Leif along on the expedition.
Leif found himself trekking behind his uncle, his own tiny walking stick helping him keep steady as they maneuvered through the forest.
“These trees make your uncle look young, Leif.” Rye, the researcher, spoke about Lucien as if they knew each other very well. He was slightly smaller than his uncle, his own hair a dusty brown that Leif liked.
“You’re only a few months younger than me!”
“Yes, but you carry your age much harsher than I do.”
Lucien scoffed, looking down at his nephew. “Leif, do you see what I deal with? It’s not just your parents who treat me like this.”
Leif’s giggles continued, much happier to listen than to be in the conversation.
“So, Leif, I hear you are interested in the natural world, particularly frogs?”
He nodded shyly, not taking in that Rye was ahead of them and therefore could not see the movement.
“I have been studying frogs for a long time incidentally. I like wetlands - areas where the water and the land work together in harmony. Perfect frog habitat.”
The trio moved through the forest, the chirps of insects filling the silence.
“These frogs are very interesting. They secrete poison - do you know what that is?”
Leif nodded again, remembering the poisonous berries his father warned him about time and time again.
Rye waited for Leif’s response this time. Leif felt the silence get heavier before responding, “yes, it’s when something can make you sick by eating it.”
“You are a bright boy, Leif.” He straightened his back at the compliment, the only one he really enjoyed receiving. When he thought of brightness, he thought of Lucien and how he lit up a room.
It was a high compliment to Leif.
Lucien’s hand spanned across Leif’s chest, stopping him in his tracks. He crouched down, silent as he pointed to the plant that stood next to Leif.
There on top of the giant, green leaves sat a vibrant frog, almost the color his dad’s golden rings. It had black spots on its back as if someone sprinkled black pepper on top of it.
It was small, probably the size of Leif’s pinky. Black eyes met Leif’s, and all he could do was stare in wonder for a moment before the frog hopped off the plant, further away from their path.
“Do you want to keep going, Leif? Or is one frog sufficient?”
The two males looked at Leif, waiting for his response. He swallowed his fear, not enjoying all of the attention on him.
He nodded. “Let’s find more frogs, please.”

fyi if you have a uterus and are looking to get sterilized because you either know you don’t want kids or just don’t want to take the chance i had a bilateral salpingectomy in 2022 and it was an extremely easy surgery.
i woke up with mild period-like cramps (much lighter than the ones i get on my actual period) which were gone in like 45 minutes and didn’t have any other pain. i didn’t have to take the pain meds prescribed and i don’t even think i took ibuprofen. the worst part was when i got home and my cat stepped her little 1000lb foot on one of my incisions and that was only bad because my whole body tensed up to protect it bc it scared me lol. maybe the gas pain in my shoulder from it but even that wasn’t as bad as it was when i had my gallbladder removed and it doesn’t last!
i was in and out of the hospital within a few hours. recovery was super easy. my insurance covered it “100%” as a birth control method (but the hospital itself charged me $1500 out of pocket for their facilities thanks american healthcare system!!! this was still cheaper than an ER visit i had for severe food poisoning 🙄🙄).
with a bisalp the tubes are fully removed. it can’t heal or reverse itself. you cannot get pregnant unless you pay $$$$$ to do it artificially. it also helps reduce the risk of ovarian cancer according to my surgeon bc it likes to form in the tubes.
the process was easy too! i found my surgeon from the list on r/childfree. he had actually tweeted that he will do them for women who want them without all the bs when roe got revoked. i went in prepared to argue and have my husband come in to “give permission” (how disgusting that i even have to say that) and he was like as long as you understand that insurance won’t pay for it if you ever want to get ivf it’s all good. it took like 2 months max. i think the only requirement is that you’re 21. i was 29, no kids, and had no issues!
i switched to him as my gyno even tho it’s a drive for me and that really says something about him bc i would never have considered a male gyno before. i don’t want to be too public w my location but if you are in FL DM me and i’ll give you his info. he does telehealth appts afaik so you might be able to do your consult online and just travel for the surgery and post op if you aren’t in a reasonable distance to avoid staying overnight. or just if you have more questions about the surgery. if you aren’t within traveling distance check the list on r/childfree for other doctors, they should list it by state!
i know this is a very permanent solution to only one of many issues we are all worried about right now and costs are going to be different with different levels of attainability for everyone, but it was so worth it for me. i don’t hate children but i have NEVER wanted them (my mom blamed the crying baby toys she got me as a kid haha) and i would never want to deal with pregnancy or its aftereffects. especially if it wasn’t a pregnancy i CHOSE. even without contraceptives at risk it was a good choice for me because the hormones made me nauseous ALL the time.

I'm going to do it anyway
Okay, so I'm going to give a review of each of the series in Dawn of X (including HOX and POX)
House of X: Six issues long. 8/10: Fantastic. It starts the new status quo with a bang. That first issue alone is incredible; the reveal with Moira is super exciting and recontextualizes a lot. It's a fantastic start to the new era.
Powers of x: Six issues long 6.5/10: It was really interesting, but paired with HOX, it kind of ruined the momentum for me. I thought it was a cool writing choice to have us see where the series begins and ends, but personally, I just enjoyed HOX more. I might enjoy it as a reread once I finish all of Krakow, but for right now, it is just good.
X-men: 11 issues long, 8/10: This is the flagship series, and it does its job well. It works as sort of an anthology, where many of the issues are self-contained but introduce some of the concepts that will be found in the era. (I.E., the summoner, orchis, the vault. and most importantly Arrako) overall a good display of characters and their relationships while also showing some idea of what to expect for the era.
New Mutants: 12 issues long, 3/10: one of my big hot takes of the list. I really did not like New Mutants that much; according to one of my friends, I would need to wait until Vita Ayala takes the wheel, but for now, I just couldn't get into it. This is likely because I don't know any of these characters apart from Magik, but even then, if this is supposed to be your introduction to the characters, you should work to make them interesting. full disclosure I ended up not finishing this series so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
X-force: 12 Issues long, 7.5/10: the mutant CIA? What could go wrong? This is a pretty good series; it uses the concepts of resurrection brought up in HOX in exciting ways and proves that just because Jonathan Hickman has introduced basically immortality, that doesn't mean he has erased the stakes. One of the reasons I love this series is how they handled Domino's trauma. They handled it incredibly well, and I respect their nuanced approach.
Fallen Angels: 6 issues long, 7/10: I only hear a little about this series, which is weird because I liked it a lot. The gritty art style was fantastic, and the story was super interesting. Seeing Kwannon's character and personality in action was fascinating, and seeing her go up against an enemy like this one was so cool. I just really wish we got more of it.
Excalibur: 12 issues long, 10/10: Genuinly fantastic. my favorite series out of the run HOLY SHIT. so I have met Tini Howard the author at 2 seperate cons and she has been so nice to me both times, so not only is she a fantastic writer but fantastic person as well. okay onto the book. it's like if X-men became a fantasy novel (even more than it already is) it takes place in otherworld (essentially Camelot. and deals with Betsy Braddock the new captain Britain ballence her loyalty to krakoa, otherworld, and Britain. it also has an absolutly stacked team with apocalypse now working with the hero's, the ever fun jubilee, and one of my favorite mutant power couples Rouge and Gambit.
Marauders: 12 issues long, 9/10: it's mutant pirates; what more could you want. My second favorite series is Dawn of X, about Kate Pryde traveling around the world with her crew and rescuing mutants from foreign governments. Not only is this one of the funniest series, but the downtime we see between the crew is also charming. It has an entertaining team, and we also get to know how the Hellfire Club is running now that it has rebranded; with the Hellfire Club comes one of my favorite mutants ever... emma frost; if frost is what you want, then a double helping of iceman and Emma should keep you fed for days. Now, it's not all fun and games; there is a specific moment in these issues that will make you super emotional, I won't spoil it, but the moment is super well done, and its ripple effects through the following matters are great to read,
Wolverine: Five issues long, 6/10: Another hot take. So, I love Wolverine. I've loved him for a while, and the fact that he is my type doesn't hurt at all. However, I also think he works best when he is on a team. and while he did have people to bounce off of in this series, I think I overall preferred it when he was on a team and working with people when it's just him it kinda feels very serious all the time. Still, he can let loose a bit when he's with others. The second story arc, with Wolverine fighting the vampires, was awesome, though.
Hellions: 4 issues long. 7/10: so this is just the beginning of the series, but I am only counting the problems in Dawn of X. First, I love the concept of villains on a team willing to get their hands dirty. Second of all, I love seeing a catty Mr. Sinister. He quickly became a standout, and I might cosplay him eventually. This also reintroduces one of my favorite lesser-known characters. Madalyn before the goblin queen. Her interactions with Alex Summers were exciting, and I loved seeing her again. Also, Psylocke having to act as the parent of a collection of homicidal killers was fun to see.
Cable: Four issues long, 5/10: It had some fascinating concepts, especially with kid cables' relationship to old cable and those who knew old cable, but overall, it was not my favorite. The Space Knights were excellent, and how they were confronted was interesting. Their use of time travel was terrific, but overall, it was just not my favorite.
X-factor: 2 issues long, 7/10: it's an X-Men mystery solvers group. Basically, if you die outside of the walls of Krakoa, X-factor will come and find your body so you can be brought back. It's fun, and the team is filled with characters you don't see often, like Eye Boy and Daken. It's good. I just can't talk about it too much with how few issues there are in Dawn of X
empyre x-men: 4 issues long. 3/10: I was curious if I should count this since it's part of a crossover event, but it's in the Dawn of X collection trades, so I might as well. So this had some exciting concepts, such as the Scarlet Witch trying to redeem herself, mutants vs mutant zombies vs plant aliens. But overall, it could have been better. I didn't read any of the connecting crossovers; I needed clarification.
X of Swords: 22 issues, 10/10: the culmination of all the storylines so far, genuinely fantastic. What starts out as an X-Men tournament arc turns into so much more. We learn more about the history of Arrako and the apocalypse's connection to it. Satyreene is stunning and a fantastic villain. Everyone getting their swords. And once the battle actually began the rounds. How different they were and how cool they were. If I have any complaints, they are: 1. I would have liked to see some of the fights described, mainly in the fashion show, but many others sounded cool. 2. I wish the battle between Storm and Death lasted longer. 3 I think that as a promo or special edition, they should have allowed you to buy your own Xmen tarot deck, But hey, if my main complaint for a 22-issue crossover is that I wish there was more content, then you know you did a pretty good job. (also, speaking of Storm, the issue where she gets her sword might be my favorite issue in the entire crossover, which is saying something because it's incredible.) also, I got Tini Howard to sign my copy of the collection, which is fantastic.
I know the krakoa era is over but would y’all like to hear my review of each series in dawn of x, I’m finally finishing it tonight and I have some thoughts.

so with echoes of wisdom .. i havent watched any of the trailers beyond the very first one and the thumbnails/screenshots and what others have said about it-
but with the world inside the rift being called "Welt des Nichts" aka "world of nothing/void" in german ('still' in english, for some reason) and demises title in french being "avatar of nothing" ... yeah my anxiety is shooting through the roof again
(hopefully you can be a little more forgiving for me being anxious/weird about it bc demise is my blorbo)
i had similar worries with totk, that werent proven true thankfully, but the darn book is making it all worse again with all those weird lore things the game doesnt even so much as hint at AND potential retcons- im in for a really rough time huh, not just stress in real life (more in tags.. its alot) but now about my specific hyperfixation from two things even (AND artblock still..)
weird as it may sound, i dont want demise to get more lore, partly bc i dont believe theyd do anything with him that i would like (given their track record) but much more importantly- the fact that he has this little lore about him is precisely one of the reasons why i fell in love with him, i tend to like characters that are neglected by the narrative, and his story being both so flat and already done meant i can be very creative with what i come up with for him without necessarily contradicting anything in canon (which is ... or was a big point of how i wrote destiny's story and lore, working with canon in a way that reframes it all without straight up ignoring it ... but i suppose i urgently need to let go of that and accept i spend alot of time working things that will go to waste :( ) AND not having to worry that there will be more stuff with him that would massively change not only what im writing but also potentially how i feel about him since the game he was briefly in was the oldest chronologically and ended with his death- i didnt expect them to mess with anything that far back and thought theyd just go forward and leave the timeline behind and wouldnt mess with it again, given how botw seemed to be a sort of 'fresh start' that seemingly regarded the past as the past that needs to rest and that the timeline was finally no longer a discussion if everythings unified through botw and one thing going forward
but i suppose i was very wrong with that .__.
right now the only thing that motivates me still is the left over determination and spite to work on my zelda comic, since i have never gotten this far and really want to get something done for once, but i cant lie that im feeling like i should pause all work on it too to wait and see waht the book and the new game will do .. either to determine if i still have the will to keep working on it after those things are out (my love for tloz has been taking alot of hits lately ..) or if i have to change stuff (mostly bc of my lore problem trying to not ignore it ..)
#ganondoodles talks#zelda#ganondoodles rants#sorta#suicide attempt mention in the IRL stuff im talking about in the following tags btw#theres some construction stuff on our house going on#and my father is extremely stressed about it#he used to be very explosive- being silent and then exploding out of nowhere .. probably left me with lasting damage yippie-#but now he much more lets it eat at himself bc hes old and feels bad for the past stuff so now it makes him irritated and depressed#my older brother is the most normal cis straight guy you can imagine and incredibly impatient and bossy (you CANNOT talk with him)#(brother doesnt live in our house)#and while hes helping out hes doing it exactly how my father doesnt like and since you cant talk to the guy (explosive +200) it stresses hi#to the point of my father yesterday saying that “it would have been better if i had just died back in the day”#likely referring to the time when he was drafted for the military against his will and tried to kill himself#which i learned only like .. a year ago- theres so little my parents tell me ....#its like my mother telling me- while my father was in hospital for heart surgery- that she not only almost died back when i was a young tee#and only survived bc of some incredibly unebelievable lucky coincidences (medics on a travel being there that knew what she had-#-while our local doctors said welp- nothing we can do lady AND them beign there with a helicopter and emergency transferring her#to antoher bigger hospital while giving her immediate treatment our local one didnt do- AND at the big one just so happened to have-#-an expert on that illness in the facility when she arrived who was able to narrrowly save her life#BUT ALSO while she was recovering and weak and frail as a dust bunny witnessing someone stealing hospital surplies-#not noticing she was in the room at first (which .. the nurses left her in the nurse room while going on break ... which uhm .. yeah cool)#and if my mother hadnt acted in time like she was fully asleep and the lady stealing stuff beign in hurry- she might have killed her#without my mother being able to fight back bc she could barely even talk (the nurses didnt want to believe her when they got back either)#ANYWAY that comment from my father brough me to tears#and my mom is trying out more ... other medication shes not prescribed in hopes of it helping agaisnt her many pains#but i worry it will interact with the other stuff shes on ...#and i worry so much about both of their mental and physical well being#always trying to be the one to calm them down or help with communication bc that is a big problem in this houesehold#but i myself am also a very much not normal and not medicated shut in who has trouble dealing even with my own feelings

The way people are becoming anti-children nowadays is really sad. And I'm not talking about people not wanting to have kids of their own, that's fine and something that shouldn't be shamed nor up to someone else to debate. No, I'm talking about the people who adamantly hate these little humans for simply existing, wanting to ban them from spaces due to them having emotional reactions that they are still learning to understand (you know, the kind of lessons that everyone had to learn and figure out at one point). It's gotten to the point where I've even seen these types of people genuinely support children being harmed and deny their hurt under the consensus of "Well then maybe they shouldn't be there," in your average public space. Like, imagine thinking hating on children, people who need assistance and guidance, is something to be proud of.
#like ill never forget this lady talking about how she took her son to some ice cream or cookie place#and let him look at the display (which is normal) only to have to pull him away bc a man got way to close#and when she talked about how weird it was (which makes sense bc it was) people were blaming her for letting her child run free (which wasn'#t what happened people just threw that in there to justify their hate & dismissing of the potential harm a child could've experienced)#“i vote that dogs should be on plans more than children bc they aren't as annoying!” is gross and brain dead bc only one of those two can#use the bathroom while the other uses it on a mat something in which has potential to stink up a plane & annoy people as well#you just want to bring your dog on board without all the hoops so you act like hating children will solve it#and coming from an animal lover dogs and other pets have the ability to annoy you on flights just as much as children can let's think now#also ive seen people say that children are wrong for experiencing emotional outbursts and im like “while it can be frustrating having to#deal with acting like you weren't in their shoes once and trying to shame them for these emotions is such a jerk thing to do“#also like its guaranteed that kids are going to cry on planes how about instead of shaming them & their parents maybe idk buy soundproof hea#-dphones? like parents are going to bring their kids traveling (as is their right) and are educating them the best they can that's not going#to change so why not take simple steps to prepare instead of hating on little humans? just saying#again this is not for people who just don't want to have kids! people who don't are just as valid as people who do#don't let anyone tell you otherwise#miscellaneous#idk necessarily how to tag this tbh#rants#tw for mentions of children being harmed

beauty and beast au but Claire’s the one cursed because she’s the only one I can see literally pissing a sorceress off enough to get cursed. (If we’re going off the original movie Jim would probably offer them a hot meal and a room for the night, knowing him he’d make everything super accommodating)
#are we seeing the vision or have I lost my mind#Jim would literally drop everything to help this literal hag who waltzed through the door#Claire would..not be doing that#bonus points if the witch is Morgana then they’re throwing hands#I could see her trying to offer a deal like say she’s after Claire’s magic and sevitude or something and when she refuses boom Morgana#curses her and everyone else that’s in the ballroom at the time#And because it’s Morgana she’d probably make the curse super difficult to break#so like by the time she’s 18 if she doesn’t agree to serve Morgana when the last petal on the rose falls she dies with the rose#so Claire’s kinda given up on hope cuz she’d rather die than give Morgana her magic#Barbara’s a traveling doctor so her and Strickler set off to another town for a trip and get caught in the snow storm#and they get locked up for entering the castle and trespassing#Jim goes after them because they don’t come back the day after#instead of Claire keeping them there though I think she’d just give all three the chance to leave with some pressing from her friends#Jim ends up rethinking his decision due to the fact that Toby even as a cursed object can’t for the life of him keep a secret#when he hears the castle is under a curse he’s immediately interested in helping#even if Claire really just wants this nosy human boy and his parents to be on their way#oh shit I think I just wrote another au#trollhunters#tales of arcadia#jim lake jr#claire nuñez#toa#jlaire#this was just chillin in my drafts for awhile
