Absolutely! Full disclousure though: Im villain woobifier and while I dont woobify all my villain blorbos, Ehlek is one of the ones that I do.

Ehlek is my third favorite Barraki (my 1 and 2 being Pridak and Takadox respectively if you're curious) and one of my favorite characters in the series as whole. I honestly consider him to be one of the most underrated characters in the series, and easily the most underrated character that isn't a serial-exclusive lore character (see Miserix or Artakha for instance). Just, I adore him so much.

One of the main reasons I like Ehlek is because of he is rather unique by Bionicle villain standards. Ehlek is one of the rare villains in the series that isn't a variation of the "powerhungry conqueror with a personality gimmick to stand them out" archetype because...he isn't really powerhungry or greedy at all. Instead, Ehlek is pretty much exclusively characterized by his anger and paranoia towards others. Ehlek is motivated not by a thirst of power, but rather by his emotions: from what I recall most of his actions in canon stem from wanting to hurt whatever upset him that day. And like I said, this incredibly unique by Bionicle villain standards, the only other villain who is motivated exclusively by emotion is Miserix, and guy isn't even really a villain (TSO and Pridak ocasionally are driven by their emotions, but they still mainly fall to the "powerhungry bastard" trope Greg loved to use). And not just is Ehlek stand out, he stands out in a way I like. I love villains driven by their emotion, so Ehlek being a paranoid distrusting mess is just the absolute best for me.

Because Ehlek is an emotionally driven character and doesn't fall for the "greedy bastard Greg villain mold" unlike his fellow Barraki (Takadox and debatably Carapar not withstanding), I actually really like thinking of Ehlek as the "token sympathetic villain" of the Barraki. I ADORE the "token sympathetic/nice guy in a villain faction" trope, and wish it was something Bionicle had done more often. Now, due to Barraki being tyrannic conquerors, seeing any of them as a "good guy" is kinda iffy. However, I do think having one of them be less bastardly and more sympathetic/tragic could work very well. And I think Ehlek is the best fit given his personality as said. As such a lot of my Ehlek related headcanons are giving him more sympathetic traits. Including giving him a tragic backstory because of course I would.

So my backstory headcanon for Ehleks backstory is rather long and detailed, so I wont go everything here. But I can give you a summary. Basically my headcanon for Ehlek is that he was a prince/ruler of one of the many underwater kingdoms in a continent somewhat wayside of the Matoran Universe. He was well meaning and rather naive, and thus was used as a political pawn by other political figures. He was repeatedly manipulated and taken adcantage of both by other rulers and his own allies. Eventually, after being told he had been used by his own advisor the whole time, Ehlek snapped, and killed anyone he saw as a threat, including the aforementioned advisor. Guy basically become a tyrant after having his trust being broken and kindness abused one too many times.

And thats why I put all those "aaa poor baby uwu" answers. Ehlek for me is a tragic figure who was evil not by nature, but because being repeatedly betrayed and used broke his mind to a distrustful mess. He never wanted to hurt anyone, he just wanted to love and help others. Unlike the other five Barraki he wasnt always an opportunistic warmongerer, he was orginally a kindhearted sensitive soul that wasnt able to take it anymore, so he broke. Just god little little baby you didnt deserve it and shouldve been able to live a happy nad fulfilling life.

My favorite character has to be Mr Famous because he's unapologetically awesome, helpful and his fights were something i always looked forward to when playing through the series as they always had fun gameplay and THE BEST netnavis, Gateman.EXE being my favorite navi design out of every navi ever

As for least favorite i never thought about it because :33 gotta be positive but in retrospect the games could have really used less Dr Wily, he works for the classic series but i think battle network is more complex and deserved a cooler villain than just a bitter old man, like sure he was fine for a couple games but seeing him keep coming back like he's william afton was so annoying.

Personally i wouldn't have made Dr Regal turn good at the end of BN5 nor show Wily surviving to become the villain of BN6, and make Dr Regal take that role instead, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY DIDNT EVEN DO ANYTHING WITH REGAL IN BN6????? WHY MAKE HIM GOOD IF HE WONT BE SHOWN RAHHHH

Why Draco Malfoy Is My Fave HP Movie Character

Just because your favorite movie character is a villain/antagonist doesnt already mean you are a bad person. It’s because you feel like you could relate to how that movie character feels, why he or she behaves that way… and so on and so forth

As for me? My favorite movie character is Draco Lucius Malfoy from all the Harry Potter movies. Not because he’s played by none other than Tom Felton, but because I feel I could relate to how he is. Why he behaves that way, how his relationship is with his family – most especially with his father. I could say I am quite similar to him in some ways especially in dealing with my toxic relationship with my family members – where you feel like you have no other choice but to always obey your parents even though when they are already wrong. Like Draco, there’s this instance where I have no choice and not allowed to make decisions on my own, considering I am already an adult – hence, I sometimes dub myself as “The girl who has no choice”.

Being raised in an abusive, repressive household with unhinged parents, all Draco just wanted was his parents’ approval, most especially from his father Lucius Malfoy. I can’t blame him for his desire to be the center of attention especially when I have a set of parents who act just the same as Lucius Malfoy does – sometimes , or rather a lot of times, my parents (especially my mom) has this habit of playing favoritism and even comparing me to other people – when they know how hurtful their actions and words can be. I’m not saying though that his actions are right and should be copied by kids… Like most kids, Draco has been bullied as well – at home by none other than his father Lucius Malfoy. He had no real friends – just his cronies Crabbe and Goyle whom I believe seemed to only befriend Draco because of the family name and wealth, as well as the power and influence. In the end, he was left after his family fell short and out of the Dark Lord’s favor due to Lucius’s failure to retrieve the prophecy.

He shows his vulnerable side in the 6th movie installment – The Half Blood Prince where he’s shown to look ill and somewhat thinner – the part where he was given the task to kill the Headmaster of Hogwarts. We can still see that Draco wanted a pure heart and not someone who lives in the shadows of his fathers, the Death Eaters and Voldemort. Fantasy Month :Alice in Wonderland

FOr the first film in fantasy month I shall look at Irwin Allens TV miniseries adaptation of Lewis Carrolls classic Alice stories

In this 1985 film Alice (Natalie Gregory) becomes lost in the realm of wonderland ,meeting odd characters she is eager to return home and prove herself not just a child ....And must also face her fears in the form of the Jabberwocky (Tom McLoughlin )

So this is one of many many many many adaptations of Alice in Wonderland.I have been aware of this version for a long time :Saw the VHS at blockbuster back when I was akid ,considered purchasing the DVD once and of course I know its a favorite for many Wonderland fans .Now with films like this ,that I didnt see as a kid ,I sometimes I deel a bit melancholly that it has taken me long to see it....I dont feel that this time.Now I did very much enjoy this ,this was a very fun time for me.....But I dont think it would of resonated with kid me,and being more mature ,familiar with the Alice story ,familiar with the entertainers within this and able to apppreciate certain moments ,I like it and feel no regret .That is to say,I also have problems,but I mostly really liked this

So what is this ?Where does this fall in the pantheon of Alice films .Well 4 things make it stand out

1.It adapts both Alices Adventures in Wonderland and Alice Through The Looking Glass ,first half is WOnderland ,second half Looking Glass . Most versions either just do Wonderland or mix in both stories together .As an adaptation I can only speak for the first half ,for I have only read Wonderland ....And its not adapted great ,some things they go too true to text despite their being obvious changes and certain scenes due to these changes become pointless(THe Caterpiller scenes purpose had been deleted so I dont know why it wasnt cut ).However the story does capture the madness I associate with Alice

2.The film adds a thread.Now the Alice stories are nonsense tales .just random encounters with weird characters ,not really a plot to speak of .THis movie add one about Alice growing up and her desire to go home ,first half really tackeling the growing up thing and the second is her facing her fears .I do like the idea of this arc for Alice ,even if I dont feelWonderland is the best story for this . The film also adds a villain in the form of the Jabberwocky from Lewis Carrols poem,who is the personification of Alices fears.I actually like this change ,I'm a big fan of the monster from the mind idea ,in fact the use of the Jabberwocky here reminds me of the Rhino from James and the Giant Peach (A childhood favorite of mine ) and I think the Jabberwocky is legit scary for kids ,the scene where he is introduced was legit spooky. What holds him back is he just represents fear and nothing concrete

3.THE ALL STAR CAST .Yeah its not the only version to get big actors but holy cow so many big stars are in this ,I cant comment on every single one .I'll start with the negative,cause while most of the cast is good some feel like they are collecting a paycheck : I dont know why Shelley Winters and Donald O'Connor and Shelley Winters are even there as the Lowrey Bird and Dodo ,they feel wasted. I was mixed on Sid Cesaras the Gryphon while always good honestly just feels like Sid Cesar in a Gryphon outfit .My least favorite was Sammy Davis Jr as the Caterpillar,dont get me wrong ,Davis Jr was a great performer ,but he is reallly stiff and miscast here .There are also cast members who I think are good ,but not my favorite versions of these characters like Red Buttons as the White Rabbit and Anthony Newley as Mad Hatter .Then you have some that I think are great even perfect like :

Telly Savalas who is wonderfully mysterious as the Cheshire Cat

Roddy McDowall as the March Hare,who steals the Mad Tea party scene

Jayne Meadows anbd Robert Morely are pitch perfect as the Queen and King of hearts

Ringo Starr is a ton of fun as the Mock Turtle

FRom what I understand Carol Channings performance as the White Queen has people kind of split but I adored her ,she is so fun to watch

Harvey Korman as the White King is fun cause.....Look I just like Harvey Korman

Merv Griffin,PAtrick Duffy,Steve Allen (Who also wrote the songs ) and Pat Morita are BRILLAINT as the conductor and passengers on the train,which maybe my favorite non musical scene

Karl Malden REALLY impressed me as the Walrus ,especially his singing ability

Eydie Gorme and Steve Lawrence were a unique take on Tweedledee and Tweedledum

And Lloyd Bridges is so darn lovable as theWhite Knight,and was happy he got to play a role in the finale ,fighting the Jabberwocky

I didnt even mention Sherman Hemsley ,Johnathan Winters,Beau Bridges and Ernest Borgnine!!!!

4.The songs ! This is a musical with songs by Steve Allen .....And for the most part the songs work.Yes some are filler and not alll of them work,but there were more that did work then didnt .I think the songs in the first half are more memorable.The two songs that stood out to me are the Walrus and the Carpenters song (Who knew Karl Malden had a musical flare to him)and really my favorite scene is Cheshire Cats song Theres No Way Home ,which mysterious and kind of sad but beautifully sung by Telly Savalas. Its the scene that stuck with me

Outside these main elements there are a few other things I wanna discuss.The prooduction design and costumes are very theatrical,this feels like a play,they are intenionally not realistic .The costumes remind me a lot of Fairy Tale Theater ,though the makeup is more stage makeup ,less cinematic here.I think I like the costumes,I've seen better but .....I've seen the 1933 version which this is much better then.I will say despite this being very light version.....There is a somewhat unsettling quality to it which I feel has to be part of Wonderland.WE have the obvious scary part ,the Jabberwocky,who is a big dragon monster ,but theres just the way characters react to Alice :The Cheshire Cat is very sinister ,the Mad Tea Party feel truly mad ,and some character are just very rude and mean .Theres also just odd creepy moments......CAroll Chyanning turns into a sheep out of nowhere and the Pig baby scene just has me very uncomfortable

This film does have a great grounding element:Natalie Gregory as possibly the best Alice I have seen. Alice here is very relatable ,when your a kid you wanna be taken seriously ,so I really connet to her.When she is scared your scared ,when she is happy you are ,and she almost outshines her older co stars .She is the ancor that makes the film work

i thought it was pretty good! i like most scream movies and i think this one was especially good at the satire on elevated horror + legacy sequels, tho my lineup still stands as scream 1 > scream 2 > scream 4 > scream 5 > scream 3, but it could change in the future maybe

ok i think the weakest part of this movie were how they treated the original 3 ESPECIALY gale. she didnt do much at all except like, pine over dewey which i get is a large part of her character w him but all of her bitchiness was just gone. sidney was okay if a little shoved in, and while that couldve been on purpose i honestly wouldve been fine with her having that little phone cameo and NEVER going back to woodsboro (bonus points for her not dying or being the killer!)

dewey was fiine. i feel like his character was done well w the whole i must be taken SO seriously (does something nobody should take seriously ever). everybody called him dying but his death scene was super cool so its whatever

also called judys death. the returning non big 3 member alwaaaays dies. her death scene was not as cool but it set up wes's which i loved so theres that

the new characters were fun! i LOVED mindy and chad they were super funny and i liked them immediately, super glad they lived. the girl w the long pink hair whos actress looked way too old to be here was a decent red herring and was so annoying i liked it when she got shot. wes was funny and had my favorite death scene in the movie, its what craven wouldve wanted <3

sams actress was on the weaker side in horror. i saw her in in the heights and thought she was good, but her mouth has like this permanent uptick on the sides that make her look at least a little happy a lot, which downplays her looking upset. if she wants to continue in the horror genre she should lean into it and consider a villain! as for her character, she was cool. billy loomis's daughter. her seeing him was fun and i loved her relationship w her sister.

her sister was great! best acting in the film. literal mvp she deserves everything and i have nothing bad to say. only elevated horror fan i respect i guess but she better not disrespect my slasher buds again tcm and black christmas are iconically political stfu 💗

then there are the ghostfaces. richie was funny, and even if he hadnt been the killer i enjoyed his humor in the first half (i totally relate to watching a series in a week and then acting like a total expert on when it went to shit lmao). he was fun, and a little obvious just like the love interest always is. cool death scene. kind of a dumbass.

amber was weak. she wasnt in as much of the movie as richie or anyone else and i really disliked her obvious personality shift when she revealed herself as the killer. ik ghostfaces have acted different post reveal in the past but at least stu and mickey were already kind of fucking weird beforehand (liver alone, anyone?) while she was just stoic and mean. another cool death scene and i thought her excuses for being innocent were really funny.

because it’s a Tiny Bit widespread within the dream apologists to sort of,, overdramatize stuff like l’manberg hurting him. like they’re not a 100% wrong but if you look at it subjectively you can see some sort of bias going into that sort of thing that makes the character’s mistreatment a bit more blatant and intentional which,, it really wasn’t? and there wasn’t That Much of it either. especially on twitter (tumblr is much better about it) people just jump to conclusions it seems and yeah. since you brought it up i was wondering if you wanted to write a bit about it from your perspective!

we’re kinda from different corners of the fandom but i still notice that once you are too attached to a character you start taking certain evidence and giving it more weight than it actually has. there’s a blurry line between “taking away a character’s humanity” and woobification and it’s extremely difficult to find a balance when said character shows pretty much nothing of his emotional life (e. g. putting up the intimidating villain act in front of only c!tommy, pretty much everything he does making rational sense with no emotional subtext) and a lot of the fandom instantly jumps to one side or the other while it’s like.

we don’t know by far enough to say “he’s traumatized” or “he isn’t traumatized” or “he was villainized and it hurt him” or “l’manberg didn’t affect him at all”

as a very analytical person people constantly jumping to conclusions grinds my gears, but that’s about it for my own view of the situation - sorry for the rambling.

in general i agree with you that both dehumanization and woobification is Bad and i really hope getting Actual Context sorts this out (e. g. him saying he was betrayed by his friends doesn’t mean it wasn’t partially his fault or that they were allowed to leave him, but it also shows that he did care about that happening. mentioning the cat doesn’t mean anything about what happened to c!tommy but it also shows that he did care about what happened to it. it’s just always interesting to get more information about the way he feels because he usually does a very good job at hiding it.) because man.

it’s like being stuck between a rock and a hard place, especially if you also are attached to the character and are expected to automatically agree with everything the people on “your side” say. it just ends up with everyone being mad and the character being mischaracterised overall.

and by woobification, i mean exactly what you’ve already pointed out— the people who will say l’manberg purposely villainized dream, the people who will say wilbur faked his mental illness to manipulate dream, the people who are pretty much always talking about how badly dream was treated by people who were acting only fairly for themselves, usually.

for example people who act like dream was a perfect peacemaker before tommy showed up, or that tommy started most conflict. these are just actual lies that are told by c!dream himself to justify his abuse of tommy, and people fall for them incredibly easily because not a lot of people watched early dsmp and know that truthfully it was chaotic even then, and that dream was chaotic too. not to mention wilbur soot tried very hard to secede peacefully with l’manberg and dream jumped directly into war with no warning. and then people say he was forced into their war when, no, he started it.

theres also people who will say like, dream and sapnap for example are such good friends. i’m sure they cared for each other, but dream on multiple occasions has done horrible things to sapnap with no regard for his feelings (like leading fundy to sapnaps pets during the petwar, leading tommy to sapnaps pets during the other petwar and encouraging him to kill them, handing mars over to tommy to use as leverage against sapnap, etc). george he’s been less awful too but he certainly spoke over him and ignored his feelings enough that george felt hurt. he had places in his hall of attachments for beckerson and mars. george and sapnap were right to walk away from being treated like that.

there’s also what you just said here — “dream puts on a villain persona for tommy”— but honestly he acts like that around quite a few people (example: eret) and it’s usually when he’s revealing crucial info, which leads me and many others to believe that ‘persona’ is actually a more truthful version of him.

there’s the fact that he really isn’t safe for people to be around (or at least he wasn't before the prison) because he was planning to come up with ways to control every single person by stealing and threatening their attachments (some of which were not items but were living animals, or a real breathing person).

and then people will say dream was doing exile to enforce rules, or to keep the peace— when it’s very clear in canon it was a deliberate plan to get tommy on his own and into the prison. (from the way he was framing tommy for multiple crimes, and having sam set up the prison, and kidnapping tommy instead of correctly exiling him, all at the same time).

not even going into how he wants to kill and revive people for fun or make tommy immortal.

it’s just— ignoring all these actual facts and saying “oh he misses his friends, let’s get him some friends now” reminds me of like. when people would put flower crowns on pictures of serial killers. and then, there’s hardly anyone on the server who wasn’t subject to dream’s plans, so there’s absolutely no one i would be okay with him interacting with.

just remembered about the torture thing, and wow i still hate it so much. it’s someone’s sick revenge fantasy twisted into a way to get a manipulative villain sympathy, and it’s just gross to me on every account. i do think dream is traumatized-- just not by l’manberg, which was a conflict he started on his own terms. i would think l’manberg did affect him, because he was scared of losing control.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again— my ideal ending for dream would be for him to be sent far away from dsmp to an island full of therapy animals and super strong therapists who have never met him before. and for him to get a shit ton of therapy until he becomes a halfway normal person. and then eventually he could get integrated into society again; but a different one with new people. (although maybe dteam + bbh + puffy can visit him, they might still like him.)

none of the people on the server (who have all been affected by dream) should be burdened with befriending him or rehabilitating him— look how that turned out with sam! sam had a personal grudge towards dream and it ended with the poor dude being tortured every day; and sam himself falling into corruption and literally cutting off his boyfriends arm. like we can all see thats fucking awful right?

no one who was affected by dream should have to deal with him ever again. and contrary to popular belief, that includes a LOT more people then just tommy. dream isn’t just tommy’s antagonist, hes almost everybody’s.

the only person on the server who might also be able to stand to help dream is techno, and that’s from sheer lack of ability to give a shit. but techno is probably THE furthest thing from a good therapist there is lol, and dream needs better then that.

this kind of just ended up being a rant about my thoughts on c!dream, so im so sorry op. especially since it was probably negative for you. i hope you’re doing very well.

i guess in the end it’s true what you said— people will highlight or ignore things based on what characters they like, and it’s especially easy to do in this fandom, where half the content doesn’t even get watched and then we become a big echo chamber of half-truths.

considering dream has hurt so many of the characters i care about, i almost can’t understand how he could be someone’s favorite or comfort character— but he is nonetheless, and it would be unfair of me to be rude about that.

essentially it just bothers me to see someone who was a perpetrator of accurately portrayed abuse and manipulation (using both those words in their actual definitions, not just as random buzzwords lol) being given the flower crown edit effect. especially since he’s hurt the characters i care about a lot.

ANYWAY all of that being said (this got LONG im so sorry op) i am so so excited to get dream’s pov, because although i disagree with his actions strongly i actually find dream’s character very interesting and cool, and watching his POV is going to insanely fun. i cannot wait to see what theories get confirmed or denied

hana: how genuinely he cares about other people, especially in contrast with how little he cares about himself (i.e., how defensive he gets when people are talking smack about someone he knows vs when they're talking smack about him), and how he's.. legitimately what some people would consider 'slow', he's EXTREMELY SMART! but it can take him a while to actually grasp new concepts, or to grasp if people start talking metaphorically for example, his memory for new things isn't always great but man if he cant name ten thousand different little gadgets he's played with in baile nan solais, how to build them, what their function is, the history of their use, etc etc, he can name every known constellation but he will forget what apricots are called. he has so much knowledge that he is the ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD. WHO KNOWS THAT STUFF. and you could still tell him 'youre stupid and also a loser and you dont know anything and also youre ugly' and he's be like :( you're right bc he doesn't GET IT!!!! he's so far removed from the world he doesn't know how special he is. and how cute. i dont think he'd consider himself ugly just like.. on his own. but if told he was (which.. he has in comic lmao) he'd be like oh i guess that's another reason people didnt like me :( BUT ALSO!!! it's bons fault those people were on the mountain and its partially due to bon that they were so so so on edge about anything different which then caused them all to be like 'this little freak is a demon for sure' so not only is hana's loneliness and sort of exile from the people around him partially bon's fault, but bon will also view hana's bad castle time as his fault (which.. it partially is. you did put it in his head that there was suspicious things going on in there. had he jsut been sent there, he'd probably be totally enamored with the king and not really think to think about negative things perhaps going on). so. bon will view himself as a bringer of bad times to hana. hana won't. but that's just a fun thing isn't it.

bonic: how he is a villain in man people's eyes, and rightfully so, i don't think he's a terrible person but he has done terrible things that can never be fixed and instead of living with that and trying to move forward in some way, he's just stalled and become nothing. also how much he genuinely GENUINELY cares for children so much, due to his own.. let's say... below average childhood, he's got his deep rooted desire to protect kids like he wasn't protected and to make sure they're valued and cared for and listened to... he loves kids.. and its very sad. bc he is so worried for them. he is so worried they could turn out like him, which he sees as the worst possible option.

tera: the way her morals can get sidelined in order to gain knowledge, even now when she's recognized this is an issue, she still has that EXTREME drive to learn and to know and its great but it can lead to her viewing the world (and people) as objects of study instead of something or someone's life that she's actively participating in. tera voted mostly likely to die in weird crystal spire bc she wanted to figure out what was in there. she also will get jealous and pissy if someone knows something about her special interest that she does not know, like.. why didnt you tell me this sooner you KNOW magic is my thing, why did you not rattle off every thing you know that i didnt when we first met :// rude

chaar: i love that she is struggling so much with the viewpoint she's been taught that her mother is Not To Be Questioned, her mother is her MOTHER not her FRIEND, and struggling with breaking out of that viewpoint and recognizing that she has her OWN views is so difficult for her. i love that she's not naturally talented or great at anything really, and that her charisma value is -20, but she makes up for it with effort and kindness. also i love that she's chubby. i also love that she's a crybaby, but she's!!! she's great. she's strong. she will cry and that doesn't make her weak. i love her.

kii: the deep seed of hatred that has overshadowed most everything else in her heart, and how it's mostly from like.. misunderstandings. her own misunderstandings. she doesn't really understand healthy relationships (clearly) and she also doesn't have a great grip of her own emotions and that's led to her becoming upset by some benign thing or some perceived slight and then becoming more upset because she doesn't completely understand exactly what she's feeling and then ppl get upset with her cause she's being destructive to their relationship and she gets mad bc she perceived it as their fault and yeah. her tumultuous upbringing and then her being... generally unpleasant to most people leading them to not like her has led to her becoming extremely dependent on like. ONE PERSON. being HER PERSON. (maighstir rn lol) and not really understanding healthy relationships or relationship boundaries.

aoife: her desire to be completely honest with people even when it makes her a binch, her willingness to BE a binch, but not using honesty in the way actual mean people do with like.. the intention to be mean. if she's going to be honest with you she genuinely believes it is for your benefit, and it comes out when she talks to her siblings like, yeah, you're being rude right now little sibling but i'm not going to fall for that i know you better than that so i'm going to tell you that there's something else going on and then we're going to be honest with each other and figure out what is actually going on.

king: HE'S SOOOOO STUPID every panel when he is being genuine about something i'm like 'this stupid bitch' he is such a child still. he's had to grow up so fast but so much of him is still a child. i love his dynamic with the priomh where he's been shown like.. scolding her and the maighstir but she will turn around and be like hey actually i have the upper hand here in this house and he's like (pouts) whatever i hate you mom (shes not his mom but i gotta say he probably thinks of her kind of like a mother figure in a weird way) also i love his bubble butt. i love that he is here to be objectified. he's on the cover of fantasy playboy at least yearly.

Ok second half of this; this is just like. non-students who i Actually have thought about HJBAFV not at all a comprehensive list. Again disclaimer i write all these chars as bi in my fics, also i am bi myself so the vast majority are also bi, and also leaving a lot of these vague so u can imagine ur favorite ship or urself or w/ever

ok lets start this off with Aizawa. I think....... hes another one who's rlly unlabelled, doesnt super care to think it through and define it, but calls himself gay bc his interest in women is very, very rare and it's just way easier to say than explain all that. Definitely do buy into the idea that he had a crush on Oboro in hs but i do NOT buy into the easermic agenda sorry. Definitely not someone who goes looking for dates, but doesn't say no if someone asks him and hes interested (also im not gonna give her a whole section but i saw a hc a while back that the Ms. Joke stuff is literally that shes a lesbian and hes gay and shes fucking with him and i love that so much i just wanted to put it out there)

on the topic of the erasermic agenda: Hizashi's pan and knew it before HS, had a sudden & intense crush on Aizawa for the first month they knew each other and then immediately got over it in favor of a similar sudden, intense, and then immediately fading crush on Midnight. Hizashi and Aizawa r just rlly good friends imo; maybe they messed around for a bit in their twenties but it never went anywhere serious. He dates around a lot, not even necessarily to settle down just to have some fun

Midnight is aro/ace but does get in qprs & gravitates towards women wrt that. Most people dont read vigilantes but theres a woman in that, Kazuho, who i imagine she's been in a long-term qpr with; her relationship with aizawa and hizashi leans a little more towards a qpr than a normal friendship, too, but it's not rlly defined that way

All Might is married to justice queer but v much not interested in relationships. He and that one guy from the first movie are ABSOLUTELY exes and i won't hear otherwise; it's the only relationship he's ever had, and they broke up bc he had to go back to japan. He was heartbroken but did eventually get over him; his lack of romance afterwards is from genuine disinterest and not being hung up on his past. I can see him finding someone else in his later years, after he's retired. Definitely feels like he's not worthy of it tho

Hawks is bi but unfortunately didn't get to figure that out until like Now in the timeline...... if youll let my dabihawks history shine through i think dabi was the reason JHBASFGJHB he was basically brainwashed by the commission to become a hero so he didnt have time to Figure That Shit Out; he knew he was into women bc that was easy & what the commission expected from him but then he started this undercover assignment and met dabi and realized Oh...... Fuck. Hawks is hard tbh, bc i think between the control that the commission has over him and his own convictions as a hero he doesn't pursue any romance (tho he does get crushes or find people attractive) and most of his flings are done to keep up his prettyboy act, not out of genuine interest in being a fuckboy. Can't imagine him having a relationship until well after canon but I do see him being interested eventually

Onto the villains, Shigaraki is unlabelled but probably would call himself queer if asked. Definitely admires women more but isn't very interested in romance; AFO actively encourages him to pursue the things interested in so imo if he were he'd talk abt it more lmfao. I kinda see him as demi as well, not the type to fall immediately but requiring a friendship beforehand; tho unlike Bakugo as i said in my last post I dont think it happens suddenly but rather slowly. Y'all know im a big fan of shigaraki being absolutely whipped for his s/o so i do thing hes a big piner, tho he's also pretty bold and unashamed of his affections. I'm a big fan of him falling for a member of the league or a civilian; definitely can't see him falling for a hero unless the hero was already halfway to turning sides already. I think he's also attracted to intelligence and someone who pushes him to think more abt his ideology...... maybe im just projecting at this point JSHDFBVAJKSHD but my point is that the gender of his partner is definitely the least of what he considers/notices

Dabi is bi and, here's my bold take, demisexual; not interested in sex unless its with someone he loves. Absolutely doesn't even think abt romance for most of the years where he's on his own. He's got revenge to plan. By the time he joins the league that hasn't changed much, and he's demi so he's not interested in sleeping around, plus he rlly denies any attachment to people at all. As I said in that other ask tho I do rlly like the idea of him with Magne, so I think they have a fling for a bit before her death :( it's one of the things that leads him to isolate himself further, unfortunately, even from Jin and the other League members with whom his relationships aren't romantic. I can see him dating someone post-canon bc i think hes gonna be redeemed lol. It could be someone he knew before but they probably didnt date again bc he was v guarded; i think magne was rlly the only person he dated

Magne is pan and heres the kicker: I think shes t4t, which led to a little moment just before she and dabi got together where he was like "she wouldnt be into me :/" but she was into him anyway so all was good. She got around in her circles, mostly casual stuff tho she yearned for something more serious.

Spinner's bi & trends towards women but does occasionally get things for men and they're almost always intense. He thought he was straight for a while even once he joined the league and then suddenly got a crush on Shigaraki (around the time of MVA) and realized otherwise LMFAO he's definitely a hopeless romantic type, the whole mutant prejudice thing makes it rlly hard for him and i can see him being rlly happy with another mutant-type; i feel like as he matures he starts to gravitate towards them

Toga is canonically pan to my understanding, iirc her interest in Uraraka and Deku is the same (and romantic) in canon tho i might be wrong. Poor girl just needs therapy. I like the idea of the two of them becoming her friends over her being involved with them but i totally can get behind her having a thing with Uraraka (and maybe Tsu) at some point post-canon (presuming she gets redeemed), tho I think a qpr between the two/three of them would be longer lasting. And again presuming she gets therapy i can see her settling down with someone, gender irrelevant

Jin is unlabelled bc he hasn't much thought abt it, definitely had a thing for dabi and for hawks which does make me sad on both counts. I think he likes women slightly more abstractly/aesthetically and gets crushes more on men,. The dabi thing fades as they get closer and start to view each other as brothers. In his later years he doesn't rlly care about romance, I think he enjoys the experience of crushing but doesnt like dating people; his found family in the League is far more important to him. But i can see him falling head-over-heels for someone quite suddenly and having a bit of a whirlwind romance. Also someone for whom gender isn't much of a factor

Mr Compress is also queer and also hasn't rlly thought abt it. Definitely leans more towards women; he's like 30 but i like to think he also goes for older partners, 10 or 15 years his senior KJBADSJFHB idk he just has that Vibe with the way he calls himself an old man etc. A lot of the league i cant see sleeping or dating around much, i feel like they prioritize each other, but I do think mr compress gets around more than the others. i can see him having a bit of a fuckbuddy who he catches feelings for

Kurogiri is fun; as Oboro I do think Aizawa's crush was reciprocated, tho he wasn't around long enough for them to act on it :( he's bi, tho kurogiri isn't supposed to have personal interests. I like to imagine the brainwashing isnt as good as AFO wants it to be tho so I like the idea of him falling for someone anyway. I also like the idea of the heroes managing to undo the nomufication and I 100% can see him, aizawa, and someone else (someone he was involved with as Kurogiri) ending up in a triad as a result of aizawa and the third partner helping him through the aftermath of all that shit

Lady Nagant is a manga-only minor character but im in love with her so imma talk abt it. Shes bi and leans VERY heavily towards women, probably spent years questioning whether she was rlly bi or a lesbian before finally having a fling with a guy that she genuinely enjoyed. Has only ever been in long-term relationships with women and I v much think she has a gf at home who stayed even when she was arrested 🥺

Finally imma talk abt Natsuo bc i love that boy. He's one of the few unmarried chars with a love interest and he canonically has a gf. I do see him as IDing straight in canon ngl, but the kind of straight where he might actually be bi but his preference leans so heavily towards women and he grew up in a bad home so he just doesnt rlly think abt it bc hes v happy with women anyway. In shiganatsu thoughts shigaraki is the first man he has a thing for; i rlly can see the two of them in a triad with a woman specifically, who helps the two of them find each other and is the one who initiates bc its definitely a weird situation for natsuo

(I had to pause a LOT to get through this special)

-Oh s*** Cosmo bug and Astro Noir. That is so cool.

-Okay maybe its my audio, but their voices seem a bit deeper. No big, just something I noticed.

-Okay the yellow flower was cute. Good on you kitty.

- Also, side note. This is very nice animation. Very crisp.

- Marinette is moving on... kinda. Well, she is trying. Its not easy getting over someone you have a thing for. I guess that means Miracle Queen did happen and I will need to suck it up. But.... I am not moving on yet either.

- The puppet show was perfection. And honestly on par with what you would expect from middle school projects. (I almost thought it was the adults showing them and was like WTF)

-BACK THE F***. Madame Bustier is PREGNANT! PREGNANT?! I am so lost? What is the story!? Who is the father! Is she married? Is it artificial insemination! Is it the principal?

-Adrien so moved by Marinette’s outburst of Friendship. Marinette ‘Just a friend’ Dupain-Cheng is going the Tia Gardner method of friendship. Lol

-Marinette ready to fight and Gabriel just like ‘Yea sure whatever’ (Gabriel’s smile murders puppies)

- Kagami trying to cheer adrien up. If you love adrigami, get that juice. (That looked like a kiss kiss, but the angle seemed off, so I am not counting it that way.)

- Kitty Clicker is wonderful. This entire scene is gold.

- Plagg, you are a devious little s***. I love you so much. As a writer, his dialogue on how to convince adrien is so devilish its amazing. Using technicalities to tempt adrien.

-Lukanette shippers get your juice... even if it was still tainted a bit by Adrien inclusion. You still get a kiss.

- Okay, can we appreciate that Adrien is also having the same amount of trouble as Marinette moving on, but also include Guilt into the equation? I love this because you KNOW Chat noir is going to get an ear full later.

-Marinette has totally moved on from Adrien.... Oh my poor sweet little girl. You havent. You havent even a little. This ride is litterally the reverse of Startrain and its amazing. Alya is NOT helping. Also, give the person that drew Marinette’s Daydreams a f***ing raise. They earned it

-Marinette pulling herself OUT of the situation. Now adrien is slightly bummed out. Well i am sure that this is the last awkward experience with Adrien she will have. It isnt like the two of them will get lost in NY together... thats whats gonna happen isnt it?

-Marinette walking past all the couples sleeping together. JULROSE GET YOUR JUICE!!!

-Ah yes, nothing like watching the sunset with your good friend. Yes, you good pal, Adrien. Who is Just a friend. Wow, the realization that Marinette used the word friend in this movie more times then Adrien did in the entire series so far. (Or at the very least close)

Overall, I did greatly enjoy this movie. Though there were times i wanted to know more, and times I wanted to know less. I know this takes place sometime during season 4, but the exact time is vague. It did tell a really cool story. It felt like a three episode saga combined into one. It was kind of interesting. And damn the drama was higher.

I give it a 7.5/10.

I would rate it up there with my favorite ML episodes.

Bittersweet Tragedies

Pt. 1 // Dead to Me

A/N: The first part of a series of writings based on Melanie Martinez songs, and my own want for Dabi interacting with a child ^^; The reader will have many more interactions with him as time goes on (and maybe even some interactions with heroes)

The vigilante Phantasma was no more. Leaving you and your little sister motherless.

You always felt cold, something you got from your father, but this cold was penetrating in a way you could only describe as being stabbed.

Over and over.

Phantasma was an outlaw, and no one missed those. They were the villains of the hero world. Someone people didn’t tend to miss, someone you werent supposed to root for. So when you returned home to your sister with the news, you knew she would only find comfort in you. No one else would mourn your mother.

For a whole night, you both lay in her bed, curled up and clinging to each other, craving a warmth you knew would never return. But after that, you knew you had to be the one to step up to the plate.

You were 23 and your sister the fragile age of six. Without you, what would she have?

"Kiko."

She lifts her head, eyes still red from hours of crying. Yukiko wipes her eyes.

"Y-Yea?"

"We're going to be okay." You assure her, placing a hand on her back. "I'm gonna call one of mommy's friends so we can get some help. Do you want to go with me?"

"But.." She sniffles. "I have school."

"Ah. Alright. Come, let's get ready for school, I'll take you." You wait for her to sit up before helping her get dressed, using a damp napkin to wipe away the trails of tears on her cheeks. Fifteen minutes later you stand outside of her school, the bell already ringing for her to get to class, your hand cold without hers to warm it.

With nothing left to do you take your mother's phone out and click on a familiar icon. A weasel.

Holding the phone to your ear, your chest lightens as the line is picked up.

"Hey Uncle Kagero, I.. I need some help."

Walking beside Kagero Okuta, or Giran as he prefered to be called for business purposes, made you uneasy. It wasn't him personally, in fact, he was one of your favorite people that came into your life because of your vigilante mother. No, this unease was due to the man following the two of you.

Twice was his name. He argued with himself, which unnerved you. Men in general made you nervous, especially the ones that yelled.

"Sorry about my friend here, he's going through a rough patch." Giran removes the cigar from his mouth, waving it around as he guides you through tight alleyways. "It's not his fault, he's just-"

"AN ANIMAL! Heroic! Suave! STOP THAT EH?! Amazing."

"Like that." He snorts.

You shake your head. "It's fine." In any case, you move just an inch closer to the older man.

Giran was an old friend of your mothers, someone she went to for information or for new tech. Often times she took you with her to see him, and often times he would give you whatever he had on him at the time. Ranging from lollipops to broken parts of machinery. It fascinated you as a child, seeing him pull out all sorts of items from his pockets.

Now you saw him in less of an innocent light, but you didnt hate him either. Work was work.

Speaking of.

"What kind of work were you thinking when you said you could find me a job?"

"Nothing terrible." He inhales deeply, exhaling a mouthful of smoke. "You like to dance, right?"

"More or less."

"Something like that. I know a guy who pays good money for people with quirks like yours. It'll keep you and Kiko fed."

A job that relied on your quirk.. Well, it wasn't the worst news you could have heard. And if it would keep your sister comfortable, you would do it.

The three of you stop in front of a rundown bar, the windows boarded up and it's sign hanging haphazardly to the left.

"So, why are we here?"

"To meet the gang! TO DIE! Shigaraki wants to meet you! SHUT UP!"

You turn around to look at Twice. "Shigaraki? The League of Villains guy?" You'd heard of him through the news. The attack on the USJ was still spoken of despite it being weeks ago. "I didnt realize his base would look like.. This."

The man narrows his eyes, looking ready to tear you in half before he stops and taps his foot on the floor. "It's fucked up- but give it a shot! It's cool inside! UGLY AS fuck." He ends in a small voice, hugging himself as he rushes in through the doors. You could hear him say something, presumably to the rest of the people inside.

A hand is placed against your back. You look to your right, seeing Giran look down at you before nodding towards the door.

"In you go kid."

Nodding, you step up to the now open doors and find yourself in a rather well taken care of room. It was a bar with crystal scones and furniture you werent expecting to see in a place that looked like it's outside survived a nuke.

Several people waited inside, either standing or sitting. With one look, you instantly knew who the leader was. But with another look, you couldn't help your eyes being glued to another man.

He had his head resting on crossed arms, his skin held together by staples. He was asleep, but it didnt stop you from looking at him a second more before turning to the leader.

Shigaraki.

Standing in the center of them all was a person who could turn you to ash without breaking a sweat. You would be nervous were it not for Giran's presence. You trusted him enough to know he wouldn't let you die tonight.

"So, you're the one Giran has been talking about." His voice grates against your ears. "The amplifier."

Amplification. Emotional or physical. Your quirk was.. Useful. Amplifying calm, strength, passion, happiness, nearly anything. It had its uses.

"We've already worked out the details. Should you come through on your end." He saunters forward, stopping just short of you.

From where you stood, staring up at him, trying to look past the hand covering his face, you had the from feeling that this bargain would force you to toe the line your mother had danced on for decades.

Vigilante? Or villain.

"Amplify his healing."

Shigaraki points to the now awake man covered in deep purple scars. The man's eyes burned into yours, a bright, blazing blue.

He flashes you a smirk as he moves off of the seat. Unlike Shigaraki, he stays where he is by the bar, but not too close to the alcohol lining the shelves.

You fidget nervously. "Just his healing?"

Shigaraki narrows his eyes, his fingers curling into a slow fist. "Just. Healing."

"Will it be a problem babe?" The man chuckles. "I thought we were getting someone impressive."

While his voice was pleasing to the ears, it wasn't enough to discourage your annoyance.

"It's just fine, pretty boy."

He lifts a brow, the smirk on his face widening, pulling at the staples on his face.

He opens his arms as blue flames engulf him head to toe, skin taking on a deeper hue as it begins to burn. "Give it your best shot babe."

Oh how you wanted to amplify his pain receptors. Oh how you wanted to wipe the smug expression off of his face.

But Yukiko needed you to get this job.

Your pupils dilate as you focus solely on the flaming man before you. Your body takes over as you feel the barest trace of energy radiating from him, tugging on it as you allow your quirk to latch onto him and do its work.

His expression changes ever so slightly as his skin stops it's burning and reverts back to its previous appearance. It wasn't healed fully, but it most definitely was not getting any worse.

"Interesting." Shigaraki speaks from beside you. A little too close for your liking.

You step closer to Giran who puts a hand on your shoulder. "I told you they could do it." He ducks his head slightly. "Good job kid."

Shigaraki nods absentmindedly, already mumbling plans that you already knew you wanted no part of. But you already signed away that piece of you.

Whatever he wanted you to do, you would do. For Kiko.

"Consider yourself hired." He acknowledges you after his compatriot puts out his flames, said companion now making his way to you. "Dabi will be your guard. Treat them well." Shigaraki adds, tapping Dabi on the arm with two fingers.

"Of course." Dabi stands in front of you, looking down at you with that same smug smirk. "Looks like you’re stuck with me babe."

You step forward, ignoring the smell of ash wafting from him. "You've got it all wrong."

He cocks a brow.

"You are stuck with me."

His grin only widens.

It's funny that I often tend to favor more sympathetic interpretations of my favorite villains (see Nidhiki for instance) but with Pridak Im just "nope man was always a bastard"

Like, the reason sympathetic portrayals of villains speak to me so much is because they tend to make me feel really bad for the villain and even see them as someone relatable. The idea that someone couldve been good if it wasnt for certain circumstances or choices in the past. Like the reason I tend to go with a more sympathetic portrayal of someone like Nidhiki (or even Karzahni to a much lesser extent),becquse I get an empathetic understanding of their circumstances, understanding of why we ended up where we ended up. Theres also the fact that I like my villains complex/nuanced and giving them some sympathetic portrayals is certainly one way to do it.

But like...giving a more sympathetic portrayal doesn't really fit Pridak as a character in my opinion. He struck me out as someone who was always power-hungry and had delusions of being more important than he was. Sure, I do think those tendencies worsened over time to the point of developing a god complex more or less (absolute power corrupts absolutely afterall) but they were always there. Pridak was always someone entitled, someone who saw himself being more important than anyone else just because of his status and power. He was always someone ambitious, someone who desired to climb up the ladders because he thought he deserved it. And sure, he did try to justify his own actions mentally, but it was less some "greater good" justification like Tuyet did and moreso the "Im the one who is right its everyone else who is wrong"like Nidhiki did.

This isnt to say that I don't intend to make him complex or interesting in my fanproject, I certainly do. Like I said at the beginning I love my villains complex. I do want to understand Pridaks character and make my portrayal of him one of the better fanon portrayals, to make him fleshed out and complex. But I feel that in order to understand him, in order to make the best portrayal of him I possibly can, I need to realize that Pridak was always ambitious and selfish bastarď. I need to understand the characters core in order to understand what I need to do with them Its moreso that I need to add complexitiy to that mindset, make meat around the bones.

I also intend to have some tragic element but it comes mostly in "he couldve stopped at any time but didnt because stopping wasnt an option he considered" more than anything else.

TFATWS Spoilers under the cut

Literally the following is my thoughts and opinions, and there are probably some unpopular opinions lol. It's kinda really long lol.

Starting with some positives.

I loved how the two leads had storylines that mirrored each other. Sam needed to become Captain America and gain a title and Bucky needed to move on from The Winter Solider and loose a title.

Sam. Just Sam I loved him before but now I love him more.

Sam becoming Cap.

I loved Isaiah and his story.

I loved Sam's family, how they welcomed Bucky and the struggles Sarah had.

I really liked how they spent time with both Sam and Bucky and didn't forget the show was supposed to be about both of them. Often times shows tend to lean into the more popular or fan favorite lead and this show didn't do that. When Sam took center it felt natural and when Bucky took center it felt natural.

The Wakandans were great. I love Ayo and her friendship with Bucky.

Zemo was fine and fun enough.

John Walker was incredibly done. Wyatt Russell did an amazing job and the scene with the blood on the shield will forever be in my memory. Hands down one of the most impactful MCU moments.

I like the genderbend on Karl/Karli and the direction they took her character. People that go from sympathetic ideas to unforgivable means, make good villains. I think her more boring elements come from the lack of development she got.

Now on to the negatives.

This show could have been like two hours shorter and still told the same story with the same impact. Also earlier episodes, (maybe later episodes too I might have just gotten used to it and stopped noticing lol), had some weird ADR moments. IDK what happened behind the scenes but it was noticeable.

I would have loved it if one of the episodes was a flashback episode. The Sharon twist was obvious from the first episode she appeared in but like they thought it was good enough to save confirmation for the mid/end of the finale? Both her and Karli would have been benefited from a flashback episode.

Karli should have fought Bucky while Sam was focused on Walker. Sam could have had a moment where he tells him he will never be forgiven and Walker would responded with something similar to "I do what is right. I don't need forgiveness." Then when he becomes USAgent it lands more like the next progression in an arc rather than the redemption arc this could be interpreted as. I personally think this is a stepping stone and not a redemption but the MCU (and Disney) doesnt have a great track record when it comes to handling anything with nuance and the fans have an even worse track record when handling things that arent black and white. I guess my point is they could have handled the John Walker set up better.

Speaking of set up, this entire show was set up. This is my main and only real problem with this show. Nothing felt like it was resolved at the end. Karli even says she was part of a bigger movement. Killing her didn't change the fact a lot of people felt the un blip ruined their lives. People always shit on Tony for wanting to bring people back five years later instead of going back in time but like it had been five years, while some like Steve and Natasha hadn't moved on, others had. Some had better lives. Assuming everyone wanted to back to the way things used to be would also be a mistake. This has consequences too, as we see in these shows. But ruining the lives of the people who had bettered themselves would have been shitty too. And yea some people who had been bettered were worsened once again when the un blip happened but my point is going back and erasing the five years would have been shitty too. There is not really a right answer here as the right answer would have been to either stop the snap before it happened or to come to terms with the fact that the snap can never be undone. Leaving everyone as dead might have hurt, but it was the best thing for a community that had five years of mourning and moving on and counseling ETC. Ooof that was a tangent lol and I could probably write an essay so going back to my original point about set up. The flag smashers, or at least people who think the way they did still exist, Sharon Carter is the powerbroker but Sam and Bucky dont know and now shes back as agent 13, John Walker went from war hero to committing war crimes and his journey as USAgent is just starting, Sam has taken the Cap mantle and is ready to begin acting as Cap, and Bucky is both coming to terms with and moving on from his past. Nothing is actually resolved in this mini series. I know it's supposed to make you excited for the next movie/show/season whatever but have six episodes of little to no payoff IMO made for a flat show.

Building off the set up problem. This show had too much going on. Sam and Bucky each had their own personal journey (The A and B plot depending on the episode), Sam and Bucky being friends and their shared journey (C), John Walker and the Flag Smashers (the D and E plot depending on the episode), Zemo and the Wakandans (F), The PowerBroker/Sharon (G), The boat and Sarah which could be considered part of Sam's plot but since if you cut it out the only thing that actually effected Sam's journey would be the bank in the first episode and yet it still went on till basically the end I'm calling it it's own plot (H), Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, which might be part of John Walker's story but since it's all set up for her to take a bigger role in the future and his set up could be completed without her I'm counts her separately (I), then you have the big meeting at the end, the senators and policy makers making choices the vote that they keep mentioning and once again more set up... (J). 10 ideas by my count, all needed their own set up, follow through, and payoff. And yes some stuff like Valentina the pay off will come later but still... It's all too many plots! And thats not mentioning side characters that were new to the show that they wanted to spend time with but couldn't.

Even though I think the shows aren't comparable/two different genres WandaVision had two more episodes (and yes some were shorter but I already mentioned I think FATWS could have benefited from that), completed all the main plots and had Wanda's journey (A), Vision's journey (B), Agatha, Pietro/Ralph, and the citizens of the hex (C), Outside the hex Monica (D), Outside the hex everyone else and sure you can separate Darcy, Jimmy and Heyward but none of them were setting up future stories or had their own distinctive plot outside the hex thing like Monica so she is the only one I am separating (E), the kids who could be counted as an extension of the Wanda and Vision plots since they didnt really have their own arc or story (F). 6 total. And some of those could be combined. Like I think we should separate Wanda Vision and the kids but technically they are just an extension of Wanda. And same with Monica, her story was mostly intertwined with Darcy, Jimmy and the outside the hex stuff. I separated her since I think she had enough moments to herself and she set up secret invasion or whatever, but like Valentina being a part of John's story it is arguable. Of these plots only the missing witness Jimmy thing, Wanda's post credits moment a moment seperate from everything else, Monica's mid credits i think? moment another one separate from everything else, and white vision were unresolved. They gave Agatha an opening ending but it was still an ending. And yes Darcy Heyward etc will probably come back but the plot they had here was finished. So arguably they had 2/6 unfinished plots. And if you don't count Jimmy's witness as a plot and just count it as an unanswered question then 1/6. And technically white vision is just half a vision and the other vision got a complete plot so really it's 0.5/6 At best they completed 92(ish)% of the plots and left 8 (ish) % for future stuff.

In contrast FATWS only finished Sam's journey into becoming Cap, Zemo and the Wakandans, and arguably Sam and Bucky's friendship. You might be able to argue that Bucky had a full circle moment with the guy whose son he killed, but that is one guy and Bucky has been carrying around a list of people like that guy. It's not the end of a story it is the start of a journey. And maybe it is possible to say the boat thing had an ending kinda. 2/10 completed. maybe 3/10 if you wanna push it 5/10. IMO at best they completed 50% of plot set up.

Clearly FATWS is meant to be this way and thats why it bothered me. They want you to watch Cap 4 or whatever they decide to call the theatrical movie that will come after this. I guess I was just expecting it to stand on it's own, and other than Sam's journey into becoming Captain America, which was amazing and deserved in every way, nothing this show did felt like it could have stood on its own. I know it's arguable that was the main story and only story that deserved to end. But I've already pointed out all the other running plots this show had, and I think at least two or three of them should have had follow through in the show.

Someone who plans to never seen an MCU movie after these shows could have watched WandaVision and enjoyed it. That is not the case for FATWS. If you don't plan on watching any MCU stuff in the future you won't know how over half the plots of this show will end. THis isn't even how the movies work. They each tell their own story while also setting up other things, so it is clear they know how to do this.

I can see why Disney decided to submit it as a series and not a mini series. Not only do they not want to compete with themselves (nominating WV as a miniseries) but also this isn't a miniseries.

I guess to conclude I'll say I did really enjoy watching this show. It was fun and there were some great moments. It featured amazing character and amazing actors, but I wish it had bothered to finish more of what it started.
