*(there were a few small technical or semantic errors in a couple of the answers as a result of me not fully fact checking; if you caught these, gg and thanks 👍 i didnt put a large amount of technical effort in because it wasnt really intended as a trivia game for OP enjoyers, it was more for people who havent read or seen the series. that's why this was posted On My Minecraft Blog and not Anywhere Else)

anyway. some brief explanations for those who want them. (this will contain Spoilers up to and including events from the most recent manga arc!)

1. yes, the transgender prisoners exist; it's called newkama land. theres actually a surprising amount of transgender characters in one piece

2. yes, einstein is multiple people. his name is vegapunk and he has 6 clones who, all together, contain one copy of his brain. one of them [REDACTED] and everyone realizes theres an imposter among us (the wording on this one was unclear or misleading, specifically my use of "7" referring to the satellites + stella as a whole, instead of saying "made 6 clones" or something to that effect. mb gamers)

3. yes, the evil power rangers are real. they're called germa 66, they're the royal family of the germa kingdom and they're also literally the villains of an in-universe comic series

4. yes, eminem and pinocchio are god, technically.

- "eminem" refers to enel, the ruler of an island in the sky; rulers of that island have the title of "god". more like a different word for a king than our understanding of god.

- "pinocchio" refers to usopp, whose appearance takes some inspiration from pinocchio; he got deified by a bunch of guys after he saved them (long story) and now is stuck with "god" as an official epithet.

5. yes, aliens are real. enel flew to space and met space pirates and a bunch of little guys. we never really seem to acknowledge in the main plotline that enel flew to the moon and met aliens (it factors into worldbuilding but fundamentally i don't think the plot of one piece thus far would change if you cut the "enel's great space operations" cover story. but I cant fit all that into a poll option)

6. yes, the cute ""mascot"" character can turn into a kaiju.

7. yes, a government assassin really did go undercover for 5 years as a shipwright and speak via pigeon ventriloquism that whole time (<- this man is a cold blooded killer)

8. yes, theres a kinnie running around wano. his name is yamato and he kins kozuki oden, the deceased daimyo* of kuri in wano. bonus fun fact, oden transed yamato's gender. (*this was the biggest error on my part - oden was the son of a shogun, and intended to become shogun, but never actually got there. oops)

9. yes, the baby man has a tragic backstory. cw for death, specifically of a young child (its non-graphic, but im giving a heads up anyways)

Day 62: a lot of down time, bandaged my lil goat friend that was nice. Went out to dinner with folks from the dorm which was also v nice

Day 63: oops i fucked myself up. Woke up early bc i was scared abt surgery today plus late bed time = not enough sleep. The intrusive thoughts are runnin the show and i don't mean that in a cutesy way. My own stupidity (didnt unclamp a catheter before attempting to flush it) saved me from making a medical error (giving 4x the dose of something bc i read the wrong line). Im dehydrated and not eating right. I'm taking my meds inconsistently. My body hurts. I had to panic check things in surgery and its really embarrassing. I gave up suturing bc the needle was dull and i was fumbling and they needed the or for a colic. I cried and tried to hide it while recovering the horse but i wish i coulda just stepped away and let the floodgates open bc now im stopped up. The worst part is this is all me, i can't blame this on external factors. I have more thoughts but i gotta go rest. I do wanna say i placed a iv cath and it went alright. Small wins even when i feel like I shouldn't be a vet. Also 13 consecutive days on is too long, looking forward to dan and maybe porchfest this weekend

The Moon; Showing Love/Needing Love

 The Moon is a vital component to our personalities. It can show us how we go about showing love for others (and ourselves) and in what aspects we need love. Within the birth chart, positive interchanges between the Moon and personal planets can demonstrate a healthy and developed Moon sign; this is especially true with positive interchanges to Venus. These individuals hold special value in showing love and comfort for others and themselves. We can see a similar outcome in synastry charts when one individual’s Moon has positive interchanges with the other person’s Sun, Moon, or Venus. Aries Moon

How they show love: An Aries’ innate curiosity is their not-so-subtle way of demonstrating love. Aries will go out of their way to spend time with the people they love and actively display interest in them. They can be very passionate and excitable around those they love, like every friend or loved one is another log in their firepit. Aries can also frustratingly push for activity with their loved ones, such as new experiences. What they need: Aries really need patience from others to feel loved and understood; they know they can be frustrating, but they will appreciate those who bare with them. They also really need someone to match their energy or someone to validate their energy; someone to riot with, or someone who is willing to understand their riot. Calming an Aries storm is a plus in their world too.

Taurus Moon

How they show love: A Taurus’ love language tend to fall in line with physical touch and specific acts of service. While physical touch is more obvious (hugs, kisses, cuddles, etc.), acts of service tends to play out in a very background kind of way. Taurus Moon individual’s can quietly carry an entire family’s burden on their backs and be a sanctuary of security and comfort. All who they love the dearest is their babies in their mind. They go out of their way to nurture the emotional well-being of others. In their network of love, they work the hardest and serve their own plate last.

What they need: Physical touch and outlets to relax. The fixed signs, such as Taurus, are guilty of holding onto emotional tension which then turns into physical tension. They need to be shown that they too can be cradled into someone’s arms and melt away. Taurus love massages, dedicated time to rest, and having some of the workload taken off of them. Good food doesn’t hurt also!

Gemini Moon

How they show love: Geminis are the spending quality time type. They can ease away tensions and anxieties with their ability to distract. Gemini Moons have an abundant presence, so while they can lead conversations, they can also direct comfortable silences too. What they need: Their chilled exterior can often hide lots of inner anxieties. They really need someone to listen to their tangents. Cancer Moon

How they show love: Cancers are very protective of their emotional world, so opening that world up to someone is their way of demonstrating love. Emotional vulnerability portrays their deepest act of sincerity. A Cancer’s innate mothering qualities is another way they demonstrate love. They want to create security for their loved ones as well as encourage personal growth. They reassure loved ones directly that their love is unconditional and uncircumstantial. Cancers are very sentimental about physical togetherness, so quality face-to-face time is an important aspect to how they show love.

What they need: Cancers need that natural nurturing quality returned. As much as they want to create security and comfort for their loved ones, they too need others to shield for them. Cancers need to be shown that they are safe; one can do this by dedicating time spent with a Cancer, perhaps inviting them over to your home or spending time at home in a familiar environment. 

Leo Moon

How they show love: Leos are known for praise and thoughtfulness. Leos like showing love through acknowledging others accomplishments that have been forgotten or overlooked. What they need: Leos need verbal and physical praise. Leos find themselves in situations of self-doubt when without reminders of affirmation. Compliments, advice, pats on the back, and encouragement are a few ways to demonstrate affirmation. When in doubt though, a long hug goes a long way with Leos. 

Virgo Moon

How they show love: Virgos choose their words carefully and eloquently and this is how we can acknowledge their way of showing love. Though they are not one of the outright expressive Moon signs such as Cancer, they’ll know exactly what to say or write to make someone feel loved. Though cliché for a Virgo, acts of service is also their way of demonstrating care. They don’t mind doing the small things just to make someone’s life a little easier. Virgos also love leaving things better than when they first found them; physical improvements equate to mental improvements. Virgos also have a tendency of checking in with their loved ones; “have you eaten the right food today?,” “a shower might make you feel better,” “did you get enough fresh air today?,” etc.

What they need: Virgos need acknowledgement that they are doing enough. There is a major tendency towards inadequacy and guilt when they feel like they aren’t doing the right things or enough things. Virgos need reminders of what they’ve accomplished and improvements they’ve made thus far. Libra Moon

How they show love: Libras really set aside their own emotional needs for others; they would much rather please others than have to deal with their emotional world. How they show love: A Scorpio demonstrates love with extreme obviousness and intensity. Their love is the smothering kind. They have an aggressive neediness for their loved ones; if they need you, they won’t beat around the bush about it, they will go and get you. Scorpios demonstrate the peak of their love when they reveal secrets and create or bond over a secret with another. 

What they need: Scorpios really need vulnerability from others. A lot of that “control-freak” persona Scorpio holds is from fear. By actively creating an environment of trust for them, they will feel loved and like they have a special bond. Scorpios really need emotional intimacy. Scorpios can also feel loved by others who give them a sense of purpose. 

Sagittarius Moon

How they show love: Sagittarius’ best demonstrate love through offering experiences. New experiences, trips, and special outings are a few ways Sagis’ try to ignite the light in another’s eyes. They acknowledge the special bonds formed through experiences or shared learnings. Sagittarius’ will go out of there way to place that booking, whether it be a concert, a campsite, hotel, or a niche workshop. Don’t feel like leaving the house? Sagis’ can get pretty creative around the house too; crafting, new recipes to try, documentaries to stream, new hobbies to take up. Honestly, don’t even be surprised if your Sagittarius brings home a tattoo gun one day. Sagittarius’ love through excitement.

What they need: Sagittarius’ really need mutual excitement and enthusiasm. They find comfort in those who truly listen to their philosophies and laugh at their jokes. Sagittarius’ really need to feel like they are a part of something, so family-like networks are also very important to their well-being despite being considered one of the more “flighty” or independent signs. An ear from many can make a Sagi’ feel truly loved.

Capricorn Moon

How they show love: Capricorns are not always direct in expressing love, but you can really tell one loves you when you are including in their life plans and goals. Capricorns have an innate need to control, so they often express love through being a providing or protective figure in their loved one’s lives. They provide a backbone or structure to their loved ones that would be extremely noticeable if they weren’t around. Capricorns also tend to provide guidance and mentorship to demonstrate care. Capricorns can be quite stingy as well, so if one spends their money on you, it says a lot!

What they need: They need people who can show them the more direct and vulnerable forms of love. They really need intense physical and emotional care; those who can introduce them to these realms of love. Saturn energy can make a person very structured and rigid so they need a good dose of warmth in their life to feel loved.

Aquarius Moon

How they show love: Without trines or sextiles, Aquarius’ showing love can be very subtle, hence why this placement is infamously known for being “unemotional.” However, Aquarius’ are fantastic lovers; they often demonstrate love through validation. Aquarius’ have a keen idea of what it’s like to be misunderstood so they’re the ones who are best at making others feel like they’re not a black sheep. They have a “being weird is okay” mentality when the focus isn’t on themselves, so if an Aquarius validates your off-beatness, it most definitely means they love you.

What they need: Aquarius’ really need validation in return for the validation they’re known for giving. Relatability is one way of demonstrating validity. Similar to Taurus and the other Fixed signs, their emotional tension leads to physical crystallization. Creating outlets to release their emotional tension as well as physical touch to aid the built-up tension are two of Aquarius’ biggest needs.

Pisces Moon

How they show love: Pisces have a large capacity to love and they demonstrate this through empathy and their fully immersed listening. They want to help their loved ones through giving advice, relating, or just lending their ear. Pisces are sensitive and openly vulnerable about how they are feelings and this is in hopes that others will relate and connect to them through this. Pisces are always the ones to step into the uncharted territories of the emotional world, leading others behind them; comforting, helping, teaching. 

What they need: Pisces really need guidance and clarity. They feel loved when someone is guiding them and giving them definitive truth to how they are feeling. Friend to the Bride

Summary: When your friend Natasha is finally getting married she introduces you to everyone whose going to be a part of the wedding. When she introduces you to her friend Bucky things get a bit interesting

Pairing: Bucky x Reader, Natasha x Steve, Wanda, Scott, Sam, Thor, Shuri, Hope, Pepper, Tony (platonic)

It was nearly 6:30am and your plans to sleep in for once was interrupted by an annoying knock on the door. You grabbed the pillow from under you covering your face trying to block out the sound of the knocking but it just became louder and more frequent. Throwing the sheet that covered your body off and aside you placing your feet into the slippers you had kicked off before hopping into bed last night. 

Shuffling lazily through the living room you arrived at the door. Whoever was at the door was very persistent in their attempt to get you out of bed. Swinging the door open you were greeted by a way to energetic, Way to a wake Natasha Rominoff. Although she was your bestfriend you wanted to kill her for taking the only day you could get some well needed rest away from you. 

“I called like a million times what were doing?” She said shaking her phone in your face 

“ I was trying to sleep in like a normal person does on their day off, only psychos like you are up this early Nat” you say walking to the kitchen to start to make a fresh pot of coffee. Natasha grabs the pot from your hand and places it on the counter behind her. 

“Get ready we’re going dress shopping, we can pick up some coffee on the way over” she says pushing you towards your room.

About 4 months ago Steve finally asked Natasha to marry him and it was about time they were dating for 5 years and everyone figured it would never happen, even Natasha had her doubts. ever since then Nat has been going crazy planning everything herself. Her wedding dress was already picked out and she was so excited to start looking for dresses for all her bridesmaids. last week you went with her when she finally said yes to the dress and you balled your eyes out because she just looked so stunning. 

You couldn’t protest and beg her to let you crawl back in bed no matter how much you wanted to,  Besides you were her maid of honor and knew you couldn’t skip out on this. Nat waited for you on the couch while you got ready. Finally you stepped out in a gorgeous summer dress, hair in perfect curls, and pretty white wedges. 

You decided to take Nat’s car because you were to tired to drive anyway. After getting your well needed coffee you arrived at the dress shop at around 7:30am. 

“So why do we have to be here so early?” You say stepping out of the car.

“Because it’s the only reservation I could get, This place is ALWAYS booked. Now hurry up everyone’s already here waiting for us” Nat said rushing out of the parking lot heading to the entrance of the shop.

Even though you haven’t met all of Natasha’s friends you met some of the girls a few times throughout the years and they adored you. They thought it was cute how quiet and shy you were, Wanda and Shuri took an especially strong liking to you always making sure you felt comfortable and included.

 Walking into the shop you spotted the rest of the bridesmaids right away and they all got up hugging you and Natasha and took their seats back on the couch. Hope, Wanda, Pepper, and Shuri all beaming with excitement, everyone couldn’t wait to pick out their dresses. The dress shop was beautiful and way bigger than you expected. One side has gorgeous dresses hanging from the racks and a few mannequins wearing stunning gowns and on the other side was a giant red curtain dividing the room but you didn’t quite know what was on the other side. 

After about an hour everyone picked out their dresses and was already fitted, it couldn’t have gone any smoother you thought smiling at how happy Natasha was. After everyone was changed into their original clothes Natasha sighed and grabbed your hand leading you through the curtain to a separate room and the rest of the girls joined a few seconds later. The room you were now in look similar to the one before but the dresses were replaced with suits and tuxedos. Steve and a group of men you never seen before were scattered around the shop some still in their street clothes and some in there suits. You figured these must be his best-friends and groomsmen and clenched your awkwardly coming to the realization that you now had to meet new people when you were just getting use to Natasha’s friends. 

The rest of the bridesmaids walked past you greeting the men, hugs and laugher exchanged for a few minutes until Nat pulled you over so she could introduce you to the guys. You already knew Steve so there was no need for introductions. She swung her hand around Steve’s waist and started to call out their names. “This is Scott, Tony. Sam, Thor, and Bucky, everyone this is my Maid of Honor y/n” she said each of them turning to look at you.

Scott stepped towards you bringing you into a surprising, tight hug and you giggled a little hugging him back

Thor gave you a wide smile bowing his head a bit “Nice to meet you Lady y/n” he said in a low deep voice 

Sam reached out for your hand and placed a small kiss on the back of it, winking at you 

Tony was to busy checking himself out in the mirror to pay you much attention 

Lastly Bucky stepped forward towards you extending his hand out for a handshake but not making any eye contact with you. You noticed his hand was soft but sweating a bit and he cleared his throat before walking away awkwardly keeping his eyes on the floor. 

You had to admit they were a strange group of individuals but the way everyone talked and laughed with each other you knew they were one big happy dysfunctional family who loved one another to death and you wished you had something like that for yourself. After a few minutes everyone settled in waiting for the rest of the men to try on here suits. Sam strudder out of the dressing room confidently in an all black fitted suit and shiny flat black shoes. He smiled sticking out his tongue and did a dramatic spin so everyone could see him. You couldn’t help but laugh at his actions and everyone joined in clapping and whistling feeding his ego a bit. 

A few seconds later and Bucky came out in the same all black suit. His large shoulders and arms wrapped in the black material and as he turned to look in the mirror you couldn’t help but notice how good his butt looked in those pants. The suit fit him perfectly hugging just the right spots and you couldn’t take your eyes off of him. Natasha looked over her shoulder to see you practically drooling over Bucky, she smiled and went back to talking to Steve. 

When you were done in the shop Nat and Steve invited everyone over for lunch at their house and everyone one accepting their offer and got into their separate cars. On the ride over Natasha took one hand off the steering wheel smacked your thigh lightly to get your attention. 

“You know Bucky is single” she said smirking keeping her eyes on the road. 

“So.. what does that have to do with me?” You said squinting your eyes

“ C'mon y/n I saw the way you were looking at him” she said holding back her smile

“I don’t know what you mean” you said back to her

“Don’t give me that If your jaw was any more open it would have touched the floor” she was now smiling at you containing her laughter 

Your cheeks blushed bright, she wasn’t wrong but you hoped no one noticed. You sat there in the passenger seat not really knowing what to say feeling so embarrassed you wanted to sink right into the seat.

“Just promise me you’ll try to talk to him y/n he’s a sweet guy I think you’ll really like him.” Nat said hoping you’d say yes. You sighed a little rolling your eyes.

“ Fine I’ll try to talk to him, but I’m not making any promises.” You said finally giving her what she wanted to hear. Nat smiled childishly giving herself a mental pat on the back.

Lunch at Steve and Nat’s was a blast all of their friends were so funny and made you feel welcomed. After the meal, some people were crowded around the couch watching a rom-com that Wanda picked out and others broke off to their own little groups. You saw Bucky leaning against the wall and turned to look at Natasha nervously, she gave you a nod and you took that as her way of telling you to go for it, so you did. You walked towards Bucky till you were standing right infront of him. You had no idea what you were going to say so you blurted out the first thing that came to your mind.

“Hi I’m y/n” you said 

“Yeah I remember.. Natasha’s Friends” Bucky said in a friendly tone 

You wanted to slap yourself, of course he knew your name Nat already introduce you. You wanted out of this conversation already and it had just begun.

“Yeah” you said awkwardly nodding your head 

“ umm so how do you know Nat?” He said trying to keep the conversation going. 

“ We went to the same high school she was pretty much the only person I talked to my whole 4 years.” You said not realizing that that sounded kind of pathetic but you went on to ask Bucky how he knew Steve and he replied saying that he couldn’t remember a time where he didn’t know Steve and you found it sweet that their still so close. Surprisingly Bucky was very easy to talk to, he asked you lots of questions and you were more than happy to answer them. The two of you actually had a lot in common. He loved reading and science and watching old movies ,all the things Nat use to tease you about saying it was geeking. 

You couldn’t believe you could talk to someone who was so hot and be able to not make a complete fool out of yourself. After a few hours of talking with Bucky you started to see him as more than just a pretty face, he was interesting and sweet and very respectful. Somehow the conversation turned to a discussion about your relationship status and you couldn’t hide the blush on your cheeks 

“So are you taking anyone as your date to the wedding?” Bucky asked cautiously 

“ No I have too much stuff to help Natasha with I mean it’s not like I have anyone to go with anyway.” You say looking down and away from Bucky 

“Yeah I don’t either, if that makes you feel any better.” Bucky said laughing lightly and placing a hand you upper arm. 

Your heart started to beat fast and your skin started to heat up at his touch. You giggled a little with him trying not to let him notice how his touch was affecting you. You felt crazy for it but just in these few hours you were developed really strong feelings for Bucky. It was getting late and everyone was starting to head out and so was Bucky which disappointed you cause it felt like you could talk to him forever. So he said his goodbye to you giving you a quick hug, sliding one hand around your waist and leaning into you. The warmth of his body and smell of his cologne set tingles all down your spine. You signed and frowned to yourself watching him leave Steve and Nat’s house before you remembered a few minutes before he left he asked for your phone putting his number in it and telling you to text him whenever you wanted someone to talk to.

A few weeks past and the wedding was tomorrow. Bucky and you texted everyday, it wasn’t anything flirty you just talked about work and errands and the wedding of course. You were so excited to finally see your best friend get married but first you had the rehearsal dinner tonight that you had to attend. You were more than nervous, this was the first time you were going to see Bucky in weeks. It took you 3 hours to get ready trying to make sure you look your absolute best.

Arriving at the venue a little after Natasha you where in awe. Everything was already set up for tomorrow morning and it was breathtaking. When everyone arrived the first thing you had to do was practice your walk down the aisle with your partner. Nat figured it’ll be fine to not rehearse any of this till today because she knew no one needed much practice walking in a straight line. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen took their place wrapping their arms around their partners arms waiting for the queue. You were a bit confused you didn’t have a partner until you felt Bucky’s arm wrap around yours. 

“Hey y/n” he said with a million dollar smile. You could just melt right now! 

“Hi… umm you’re my partner?” You said a bit confused as to why he never mentioned it to you when you two had texted all those nights.

“Yea I’m Steve’s best man Natasha told me to keep it a secret, that it was a surprise for some reason.” He said still smiling at you.

You snapped your head around to see Nat waving and smiling at you giggling like a little kid. You wanted to scold her but you couldn’t contain your smile. The music started right away and as the couples started to walk Bucky leaned down to your ear 

“You look beautiful” he said leading down the aisle not giving any time to respond. 

You blushed the whole way down the aisle and you were pretty sure everyone noticed. The rest of the rehearsal went perfectly and as everyone sat at the tables to eat your mouth hurt from how much you smiled. Bucky sat right beside you telling jokes and funny stories. God he’s so perfect you thought to yourself as he went on and on. A few minutes into the meal you felt Bucky’s knee graze against yours and you bit your lip trying not to smile. Steve and Natasha was talking to everyone about the plans they had made for their honeymoon when you felt Bucky’s hand reach out and grab yours that you had resting on your lap. Your heart pounded in your chest and you let your smile spread across your face. He held your hand the whole dinner as he talked to you about any and everything 

When dinner was over, everyone started to pack up and leave. Bucky let go of your hand and stood up pulling the chair out for you to stand up. 

“Well I’m going to head out” he said you could hear the tiredness in his voice

“Ok It was really nice talking in person again” you said smile up at him 

“I’ll see you tomorrow beautiful” Bucky said leaning over to place a kiss on your cheek. 

GOD DAMN!! Is it hot in here? Or is it just you???

You were in shock. Did that really just happen? Did he call you beautiful? Gosh his lips are so soft? All these questions and thought ran through you head. That night you couldn’t sleep, you were up all night thinking about all that needed to be done for the wanting and most importantly you couldn’t stop thinking about Bucky. Morning came and you hopped out of bed ready for what was to come. You got dressed in some comfortable clothing knowing you weren’t going to be in your bridesmaid dress for another few hours. Nat picked you up and you both arrived at the venue early enough to get your hair and makeup done. 

The morning was chaotic for you, you ran all over the place making sure everything was perfect until it was time to finally start the ceremony. All yours and Nat’s work paid off everything was perfect. Bridesmaid and groomsmen arm and arm, you and Bucky where last before Natasha walked down the aisle and she was stunning. She took everyone’s breath away. You and Steve couldn’t help but tear up at the sight of her. After the ceremony was over, it was time for the PARTY. You could finally relax and have fun with your girls. 

The wedding was turning out even better then you expecting and it made your heart swell to see how happy Natasha was. After a few up-beat songs the DJ started to play slow love songs for all the couples. Every pair stepping out on the dancefloor to slow dance to the music. 

It was sweet seeing everyone in love, you watched as they cozied up to each other the women’s heads on their mans chest swaying to the rhythm. You were taking away from your thoughts when you looked up to see Bucky standing in front of you with his  hand stretched out 

“ Can I have this dance?” He said, taking his hand he lead you to the dancefloor, holding your waist with his hands. 

It felt amazing to him having you in his arms, he looked down at you with heavy eyes filled with passion. Without thinking he inched closer to you kissing you lightly, your hand wrapped around his neck pulling him in closer deepening the kiss. He pulled his head back after a few moments and spoke

“I was going to ask you this yesterday but I kind of got to nervous,… can I take you out sometime… like on a date" 

"Yea I’d like that” you said smiling at him and kissing again. 

When the song was over you looked over to see Natasha clapping for the two of you and you smiled in complete happiness

omg my revision is gg terribly and i’m so far behind :-( do you have any tips to keep me going/ how to plan an effective revision schedule?

alright dearie dont be worried :(( its not too late yet ok! always keep going even when it feels like the odds are against you :)

ok so trust me you have to dedicate one day for this: what you need to do now is to make a google/excel sheet or just write down all the chapters for all your subjects. if you havent summarised each chapter for yourself on a review sheet (you can check out how tbhstudying on youtube does hers or you can follow mine but mine's not as condensed LOL) you should spend 1.5-2hrs doing so because it helps a lot in your revision. instead of mugging a lecture book or textbook witth of content, you have one piece of paper per chapter!

next, file and organise all your worksheets/papers into binders neatly. go by chapter and if you're missing anything important, ask a friend for theirs to photocopy or just take a photo. you can actually leave this for the weekend if you dont have the time on school days.

afterwards, use google sheets to create a schedule for yourself. basically what you do is: select templates for google sheets and select the schedule option. just make a note when your school day ends and when you'll reach home. from then on, block out time for you to eat, shower, leisure (keep it short tho, 30mins maybe) and try to sleep early(1130latest)

in between that, allocate some time for homework (1-1.5hours maybe?) And the rest of the time for revision.

so let's say i end at 4 on monday. i need an hour or less to get home so ill reach home at 5, have a snack and clean up till 5.30. i eat dinner at 7.30 so i'll finish my homework and practice my piano repertoire for that 2 hours. after dinner i have 1 hour more to practice/homework or sort out any important issues for school so that's 8:30! afterwards i'll have to go for a run and do some other exercise and shower so that means i'll usually be done by 10:30. then i have all the way to 12 to study/make notes. of course you can structure your day differently and it wouldn't be as packed as mine (literally my busiest day of the week) and my leisure time is spent either during study breaks or on the piano.

also, try to figure out what is your 'attention span' for studying. some people do best with 25 study-5 break, others with 45study - 15 break etc. so you have to time yourself and see how long you can last before you get distracted. i'd recommend you get a study timer app like tide (my fav! altho i havent used it in a while oops) to help you focus. lets say if you start off with 25-5, just allocate one 30 min block to that 'focus period'. usually i need at least 1-1.5hours to summarise a chapter but that might differ for you so adjust accordingly!

now, using the google sheet of chapters you created, start by inputting the chapters that you're least familiar with first so that you patch up your weaknesses. i'd recommend you review whatever you learnt frequently; read through the notes on the bus, or you can allocate 30 mins a day to recap concepts that you frequently forget later on. make sure you've covered every chapter for every subject (takes a bit of trial and error) but you have to do this!!!!

afterwards when you go on study break, you should more or less have finished every chapter and be 80% familiar with content. here it might be appropriate to start doing practice papers to fortify your understanding! time yourself and be honest to yourself when you mark your work. consolidate your errors on a postit at the front of the cover.

also some general tips: go for a walk/run frequently because i find that it helps with my focus! invest in some healthy study snacks and fruits to keep you awake while you study and drink lots of water to keep yourself healthy. lock your phone away in a drawer while you study (especially if you're trying to memorise content) and keep your day's plans on a post it that you can paste on the wall/elsewhere where you can see it frequently. also rmb to clarify doubts with your teachers and dont brush it off as something you'll understand later :))) Okai thats all sorry for the late reply but i didnt have time to finish typing this xD

I’m on FIRE

So, this morning!

Desired departure time: 11:30 -> Matt’s place for 12:30 -> change to my Pikachu bag -> Rideau for lunch at 13h

- got up, assembled my meds and DIDNT put them pack in the cupboard, had breakfast & rinsed my bowl but didn’t put it in the dishwasher because Tetris is Dad’s game, took my meds

- squeed about this clever hibiscus!!!! Five fleurs!!!!

- tossed my meds in my bag

- had a shower, put on socks, long underwear, my shirt, anti perspirant, and my oatmeal pullover, brushed my teeth, and moisturized

- played too much merge dragons but! did remember to plug my phone back in

- checked in with my raid group, made an alternative plan since there were just three of us

Desired departure time: as late as 12:00 but I’m still aiming for 11:30

- secured a drop cloth

- found and packed LEGO Dimensions scanner & toy tags

- packed my overnight bag (exercise shirt, overshirt, socks, underwear)

- moved stuff from my purse to my backpack as I’m taking my pikachu bag to community day!!!! but I didn’t move my keys back on top of my overnight stuff so I have no idea where they are

- emptied my thermos of coffee-flavoured mint tea into the sink, disposed of the tea bag, and set the thermos to soak with soap

- said good morning to Matt and asked about LEGO hacking

- gave the shower a partial cleaning

- finally asked Mom about wax paper, secured wax paper, scissors, leaves, and a dish towel; upon returning for a second dish towel, I asked Mom if I could use this particular one and she suggested two, less nice dishtowels

- attempted to press leaves but the wax paper made more of a pocket around them than it actually melted to them, so further research is required

- pitched the other two leaves and will deal with the mostly clean ziplock later (I just left it in my washroom)

- finished getting dressed (old jeans, overshirt, hoodie)

- remembered Pokemon Ultra Sun(?) game card (it’s in my back pocket, /please remember to put it soemwheee safe!)

- assembled the rest of my overnight bag from upstairs (long charger, oxy pads, makeup)

- came downstairs with that assembly as well as three dishtowels, wax paper (I hope ... I can’t remember!), scissors, and leaves, and went to the family room where my bag was to find my dad lounging on the couch, frowning but also bemused at the TV; he asked about the PS4 and the controller and if he could move the console, and explained the weirdness of the Internet-based satellite receiver and its fluctuating signal strength as I assembled the rest of my overnight bag from downstairs (jellyfish (I quit yesterday mid-stitch, why???), PC & charger & mouse, short charger, plan for corner TV unit)

- folded the dishtowels and put them and the wax paper, and the scissors away

- found my earmuffs (behind a cushion)

- secured winter boots instead of all season rain boots

- bid farewell to Dad and outlined my weekend plans

- a comedy of errors meant that we were going to miss the Eagleson 11:47 bus BUT i was 10 minutes ahead of schedule so everything is totally fine. instead we went to Terry Fox and I caught a 12:02 bus.

- was going to stuff a pokemon in the Gym by my house but forgot, but when i booted the app up as we were leaving, Team Valor had taken over so I dismissed that grump, and since I had plenty of time at the bus stop, I kicked out the four Team Insinct pokemon and put in one of my dudes (I ended up getting 7 coins)

- checked in with a different Pokémon friend as well as my SilphRoad contact

- let Matt know that Ansel would be meeting us at his place

- caught my bus! sat on the wrong side to see the river tho, oops

- alerted my raid group that check ins with my contact were now open, and checked in!

- made it to Matt’s, searched for my key to no avail, ‘snuck in’ when an older gentleman went through; in the elevator we talked about the penthouse levels and how amazing the view was on one side (not his side, alas) when Matt and I checked out a unit for sale, and stood knocking at Matt’s door for a minute and texted him twice before he realized I was here—and it turns out Ansel was less than a minute behind me!

- charged my phone a bit, repacked my bag (still haven’t found my keys), chatted with Ansel, hit the road, and caught a 16 to Rideau

- got food from Tim’s, reconnected with Matt and Ansel, charged my phone some more

- emptied my Pokémon box, logged how many Cyndaquil, candies, and stardust I have:

- finished lunch, have possibly allowed the manic energy to dissapate, politely indicated to Matt that he should eat instead of talk because it’s after 14h!

therefore you and me post-production notes (or: murphy’s law as a project that has been two years in the making)

ive had this idea for ‘therefore you and me’ and Fritz ever since i first played CindPhenon. nothing ever fell into place until i played Evermore though, so here we are!

drafting this project was pretty easy tbh (see: hubris). the parallel imagery and everything about the lyrics was right up my alley aha.

fun thing with the lyrics: TadanoCo uses ‘要る (iru)’ in the line ‘Which do you want (iru)? Or do you want neither (iranai; aka negative form of ‘iru’)?’

‘ 要る ‘ as a verb can mean ‘to be wanted’ or ‘to be needed’. 

hence, the line can also be read: ‘Which do you need? Or do you need neither?” or any other variation of the verb’s usage. 

it’s halfway through drawing the lineart that murphy’s law began. 1) i drew ~15 panels on the wrong dimensions, and had to redraw them all (lol), re-grey tone (LOL), and re-ink (LOLOL). it was not a fun three days.

then i lost momentum because of lunar new year (happy late lunar new year btw! happy year of the ox :”) )

anyway: the moment i regained momentum for the project again, i hit a roadblock in the form of overconfident, sloppy drafting (see: hubris is my downfall). 

because of the lack of clear drafting for certain panels (and changes to previous panels), i had to redraft two different sections of the PV while keeping in mind that there was the bridge still to be drafted. fun ! 

i decided to simplify the bridge. can you believe it was supposed to be another animation. i can’t. so i scrapped it.

(slight tangent. Evermore’s release honestly cleared up a lot of uncertainty regarding the direction of the PV and whether or not to include Fritz’s mother (who I still fondly call Beatrice). im really happy the PV never came to fruition before Evermore’s release, as im not sure i would have done half as good a job without Evermore’s content.)

back to the hubris of proceeding with a messy draft - there was a lot of push and pull internally for me as to how much i should keep to the original PV and how much i should just put my spin on things. i ended up doing a bit of half-and-half, i think. 

but really, it only delayed things as i ended up redrafting and having multiple drafts of certain panels haha//

the last two choruses were honestly my favourite parts to draw. the shift from Varg’s clothes and colours to Fritz, Fritz’s acceptance of Varg and the soft way Varg looks at Fritz (and no one else). there’s something cathartic about acceptance and acknowledgement. i think that’s what i aimed to really capture.

also: in between drawing all the panels, murphy’s law 2) my Evermore itchio game file ? got deleted off my computer ? 

it’s a very old, barely functional brick so im lowkey unsurprised but at the same time it was a crazy experience and setback when i needed to reference certain scenes. oh, and Steam decided to not download Evermore too. i still haven’t fixed that one. haha. ha.

i have screenshot posters to thank for uploads of certain CGs, although im still pretty sure its best not to post a ton of those publicly at one shot?

also, i had to scrap the recreation of the famous ‘did you love Varg’ scene because of this aha. looking back now, i think it worked out. 

(another tangent: using referencing as an excuse, i actually took the opportunity to replay Fritz’s route for the third time. i ended up checking nothing at all and falling in love with the masquerade scene again.) 

up till the very end, im still not sure if everyone got that the line “You are love itself.” was meant to be said by Lucette to Fritz. i colour-coded Lucette with her own unique blue for the PV, which was the same hue as the line. i hope that it got across, aha.

with that said, video production was a whole entanglement in and of itself. i think murphy’s law really took up a hammer and swung hard at this stage.

timing was actual hell. im usually not this bad at it, but this project in particular was tricky bc TadanoCo uses a lot of background beats that aren’t overt, which his PV also matches - i think? or maybe im just not good at recognising beats from lack of video/music production haha//

hence there were certain scenes i was stuck at and kept revising because i wasnt clear where the beat was meant to be, what transitions i should use, and when the transitions should be.

subtitling was actually really fun! until i rendered my first version and realised all the subtitles were completely off and blurry.

turns out my project properties were different from my video properties, hence the off-alignment. huh. didnt know those were Actual Things(tm). 

also, quick tip to all vid-making amateurs like me out there: you may have to double the dimensions of the font’s media properties if you dont want them to come out fuzzy. another thing i didnt know lol. 

anyway all this lead to: me needing to spend another evening to redo subtitles. haha. it was not a fun two back-to-back 3am nights + extra evening afterward.

in between all this was countless rendering tests to guess-and-check what’s causing numerous errors in the video btw.

and with those rendering tests came: glaring mistakes in the panel art that i only now spotted and had to fix, and refix, and refix again. then reimport into sony vegas, put it into the video, render and double check if it’s alright. rinse and repeat countless times ! haha ! PV making is fun !

i think i nearly redid a certain scene with the exact same panels once. like i said: not a fun two 3am nights.

that said: i dont know how all this technical issues (and more) popped up and were resolved over two 3am nights and one evening. im not about to question it either. 

at this point: panel art - fixed ! subtitling all redone ! render works fine, everything checks out.

i make the mistake of uploading it directly to yt instead of leaving it unlisted first.

murphy’s law 3) when im watching the vid on yt, the yellow parts in the second verse were completely unable to be seen. 

panic put it on unlisted. people are already watching it and leaving (very sweet) comments. panic delete it.

btw if you’re one of the first three commenters reading this: thank you for the quick response !! it means a lot and made me really flustered in a good way :”))

cue me re-colouring those scenes, redo-ing the section and oops, is that a panel in the masquerade scene where Fritz literally is missing his mask ??? 

i think i lost my mind entirely at this point. from then on i was fueled by spite to complete this cursed project.

at thereforeFINAL.mp4, (version five of the full PV, version maybe 10-11 of all the rendered videos, including tests) finally. finally it is done.

(except, not really. because here you are at post-production notes detailing the worst luck i’ve ever had with PV making. 

i learnt a lot from this though, and honestly on hindsight i should have learnt all these from my first PV but nothing went wrong at this magnitude so i kinda just...shelved it aha//

but really, im relieved it turned out well, and that i took the time to redo scenes until i was satisfied. for a PV that’s been waiting in the background for two years now, i think this is the least it deserves. 

if the comic about Fritz and Varg (which i referenced in one of the last choruses, i wonder if anyone caught that?) was meant to be a love letter to Fritz’s route, i think this PV ought to be a tribute to the character himself. 

although - hm, this isn’t quite as good a tribute to Fritz as it is to his route, maybe? i don’t know, haha ! maybe it’s just myself wanting to make excuses to create more for him//

i was thinking of continuing on about the PV and it’s significance to Fritz and Varg, but hm. maybe not on this post. maybe some other one, some other time.

but at it’s core, at it’s simplest, most raw - i think i just wanted to explore what it means to Fritz to ‘want’ and to ‘need’ with this PV.

Venus in the Signs

/Hahh you’re going to kill me with your kindness!/

Just stay awake a little more. You can do it. Its not too late already, is it? Well..Come to think about it, we did practice a bit too hard today. I swear, I saw Hinata trip and just lay there for maybe 5 minutes. 

I glanced at the clock, a little past 10 p.m. My eyes went back to the screen in front of me, some cheesy romantic comedy shown on the television. He wouldnt be mad at me for falling asleep, right? He wouldnt be offended? It wasnt that I dont like this movie, I’ve maybe seen it twice before; its pretty good. He comments on something maybe every 5 minutes, and I respond sweetly to him; its not that he’s boring me. I just didnt expect to be this tired. Should have looked into coffee.

I yawned gently, and luckily, Suga didnt comment on it. I tried my best to keep my attention on the screen, but everything was pulling me towards sleep.

My body still ached from the rough practice earlier, and the room was a mix of dull and pastel, contrasting perfectly into a collision that was oddly comforting. Not to mention the angel setter next to me. He had such a comforting vibe to him.. 

His smile always made people return the expression, and his eyes were the most lovely shade of mesmerizing and I swear, I got weak in the knees every time he laughed. There wasnt a doubt in my mind that I was in love. I’ve known for quite some time, and there was really nothing I could do about it now. I was too far gone on him at this point. 

My thoughts drifted back to one of the days we practiced together in our earlier years of highschool. He took a break and sat against the wall of the gymnasium, his half-drunken bottle of ice cold water on the shiny floor next to him. I wandered away from the small little group I was in to check up on it. I knelt in front of Sugawara, asking if he was alright, if he was hurt, or if he needed anything that I could possibly get him.

The only thing I remember after that was him looking up, flashing me that gorgeous, sunshine grin and saying “A hug might be nice!” I dont even remember if I hugged him, I’m pretty sure my mind just blacked out for a bit after. 

I felt my eyes start to get heavier, the dialog from the television mixing into simple mumbles and prolonged noises that I could no longer make out. It sounded like I was wearing a pair of weak noise-cancelling headphones. 

I willed myself to stay awake, but it was getting more and more difficult with every passing minute. This was kind of pathetic, I was just sitting on the floor in front of a screen, isnt this normal for teenagers? 

Not too long after I felt like i was going to pass out, my chest lurched pleasantly as I felt Suga gently rest his head on my shoulder. I tensed for a moment, no longer feeling too sleepy. 

I looked down at him- and I swear, I could feel my face heat up drastically- seeing his lovely, soft silver-y hair framing his beautiful, innocent looking face. He yawned, sounding like a squeaking kitten. That did not make my chest stop fluttering around. Stop that. He glanced up at me, his eyes weak as he let out a soft, sweet whimper. 

I felt him crawl into my lap, draping his arms around my shoulders gently. Without the need for words, (Or breaths. Was I even breathing?) I knew what he wanted. I wrapped my arms around him, standing and lifting him along with me. I turned off the television and slowly took him to his bedroom. 

After we entered his sanctuary, I set him down gently on his mass of blankets (That apparently had a bed underneath.) I saw him smile tiredly, curling up and looking up at me pleadingly. 

“Lay with me..” 

I swear, my heart had a error screen and started making 80s computer sounds. 

I hesitantly sat next to him, laying down nervously and before I knew it, Suga was cuddled up to my side. His warm, soft skin pressed to my arm made me shiver in the most pleasant of ways. I wanted to stay up and see him like this forever. This was so..perfect. He was so perfect, so beautiful, so lovely, and I’m so gay, so, so gay-

“Daichi..Calm down..” 

He mumbled in a weak, soft voice that made me want to screech. He must have noticed my heavy breathing. Oh, hes right by my chest. Right. Oops. 

“Sorry..” 

I whispered, before gently petting Suga’s hair. He made a positive sound and nuzzled up closer, before pulling the blankets over us both. I felt my eyes grow heavy again, and before I knew it, I felt Koushi drift off to sleep by my side. I smiled gently, closing my eyes as I accepted my peaceful fate.

I could call my parents and tell them I was spending the night in the morning, right?
