I got these earbuds that dull loud noises and guys it turns out I am a very cheerful person with SO much patience and energy and I have such a fun time being alive

the elden ring DLC coming out reminded me I've actually had a larger er piece sitting around uncompleted for *checks watch* 5 months so was fun to revisit that a little today hahaha

I went to the beach today for a few hours and chased my umbrella cause it flew away when me and my sibling tried to go for a relaxing ocean walk

guys I just survived a ladder that wanted to kill me. cheers

#context- I work odd jobs in film production a lot. I recently picked up a new part timer filming high school football games #this particular one was an hour and a half away so needless to say I was already mentally preparing for a LOT #and I got there and the spot where they wanted me was on the ROOF of the press box. which I knew beforehand #what I did NOT know beforehand was that the only way up or down was a ladder that pops down from said roof #which would’ve been okay but I was carrying three equipment bags like a pack mule #so I climb the ladder and even that was fine until the top step #I faceplant straight onto the roof because there is a barrier that’s like a foot long between the ladder step and the roof floor #so. rough start. but the view is great and once I’m up there it’s kinda fun #until. UNTIL. I wanted to go pee because again. hour and a half drive to get there.#said barrier made it so you have to climb down to get to the ladder step and railing and I pissed around playing chicken with that thing for #for an HOUR playing chicken because I could not fucking handle it #so I get through the first half okay but decide that I’m booking it to the bathroom the second halftime starts #and I forced my fat arse over the ledge and I figured out a grip on the trapdoor thing that helped keep me from falling #and I felt like I’d just made a person break cause like. I genuinely was not sure how the fuck I’d make it down for a bit #after that? might’ve been the high of Doing The Scary Thing but the rest of the time I had fun #I got a nice coach in the press box to help grab my bags as I handed them to him so I could climb down to leave #drove an hour in pitch darkness on country roads to my boss’s house to drop off the footage then 20 minutes home and now #and now I think I could sleep forever and ever but I fuckin did the thing

I love being productive in ways that only matter to me

#i have been spending the last few days reorganizing all the music on my phone because I rip it off youtube instead of buying it #so I have to manually input all the info and i've been meaning to do that for a long time so everything can be more organized and look nice #and i'm in the final stretch of collecting album cover art and making sure all the info is right #and once i get that done i just have to remember to do it for any new music i get #and i'm feeling very good and proud of all of that cause now I think it looks better #nobody else cares but y'know self satisfaction #also i started up with my duolingo again. I think I did like 15-20 minutes between two courses #and i've eaten (mostly) good food today #and idk i'm feelin good about stuff right now :3 #sorry for the ramble #personal #self satisfaction

picked wildflowers for a friend's wedding today 😊🌼🌾

#they actually were wilting so bad already by the time we left the field 🥲#the brilliant plan to pick the wildflowers at my house an entire 24 hours before the wedding may have been poorly designed #but there was literally no otber time to do it bc i couldnt take off work on a tuesday bc of my one insane coworker #lol #anyway #i did the boquet and table arrangements and stuff but it was so dark it was impossible for good pics when i was done #she seemed really happy w the boquet tho 🥺#hopefully it holds up and if it doesnt i will have like 20 minutes tops to refresh it before she literally walks down the aisle lmao #it is what it is tho #its a budget friendly whimsical barefoot field wedding so if the boquet isnt perfect tbats part of the charm lol #flowers :)#im not pursuing horticulture as a career anymore and possibly will never apply to another job again #but can now put wedding florist on my resume #i also used some flowers from my garden for the boquet so its not allll wildflowers #and some were queen annes lace and those hold up well i think #so hopefully it will still look nice tomorrow at sunset 😂#at least it will be getting dark lmaooo #this has been a shitpost
