#wacky watermelons#i did not have stardew 24 hours ago#i received a dm at like 12:05 am that was like “me and [--] want you two to play stardew with us”#and both of us were like. wahuh. sure but we don't own stardew#and then we proceeded to both receive stardew#so now im playing stardew like my life depends upon it#so i can learn this game before our 4th (other stardew receiver) gets her computer fixed#it was a wild 15 minutes for past midnight + migraine but now i have stardew#and i will need to properly show my gratitude next time its reasonable bc again. 12:20 am + migraine is terrible for social ddr#anyway. back to stardew i suppose#wish me luck

I love being productive in ways that only matter to me
#i have been spending the last few days reorganizing all the music on my phone because I rip it off youtube instead of buying it#so I have to manually input all the info and i've been meaning to do that for a long time so everything can be more organized and look nice#and i'm in the final stretch of collecting album cover art and making sure all the info is right#and once i get that done i just have to remember to do it for any new music i get#and i'm feeling very good and proud of all of that cause now I think it looks better#nobody else cares but y'know self satisfaction#also i started up with my duolingo again. I think I did like 15-20 minutes between two courses#and i've eaten (mostly) good food today#and idk i'm feelin good about stuff right now :3#sorry for the ramble#personal#self satisfaction

ultra moon has been exceedingly kind to me in the shiny odds department over the years because it is trying to apologize to me for being the origin of what went on to warp my mind and soul forever
#context i picked it up to do some soft resetting while i tried to get to sleep bc i just kinda had the urge#and it's a mindless thing that has helped me fall asleep before#cue like. maybe 15 minutes in tops. under 20 resets. shiny mewtwo#and even with the absolute lowest odds you can get in this game that is Fucking Absurd#and this is the same game i had a like. 4 reset shiny palkia in#i think every single reset hunt i've done has flown WAY under odds#which is kind of funny considering my brother has gone over double odds with the same base odds before. Erm#anyways thank you ultra moon very cool#i actually want to hunt gen 4 rayquaza but i have to do some work so i can actually meet the conditions for it to show up#i wanted to start gen 4 mewtwo tonight but i did not bc UM was already in my 3ds#and i simply Did not feel like getting up to find heartgold. oh well#i have been itching for the masochism of older gen full odds for a while and just haven't gotten around to it#actually editing tags to add this bc it makes it funnier somehow#but my egg hunts in the original moon. not ultra moon. which have better odds than the resets. have historically been terrible#and way over odds#but for some godforsaken reason ultra moon reset hunts have always been like. blink and you might miss it

I love drawing in charcoal because when you're in the beginning of a work, instead of looking like something reasonable it's perfectly acceptable and natural for them to look like this
#does that look like anybody you know#tales from diana#(c'est moi)#i was trying to redraw brian protheroe (the same pic of him as edward iv i sketched roughly--and p badly--last month)#in charcoal. bc my mom got me charcoal PENCILS for christmas instead of sticks of vine#which were what i really needed. i dont like to use pencils hardly at all#it was an utter failure. i started off by just trying to do the basic contours of his face + neck + the crown#and then after about 20-30 minutes when i had an ok start i was like ill take a break to refresh my head#went away from it for like an hour. and was like why dont i just try it w the vine#i thought i would improve it. and i suppose i could've if i had REALLY tried#but i was exaggerating the proportions and making the worse while trying to fix them. everything got larger#and i was essentially erasing EVERYTHING i started with while i was trying to even them out#so i just gave up. lol#a girl has learned to quit while she's ahead. and she learned the hard way.#but i wasn't happy to just leave off that drawing a failure wo any plans to do something else#so i went looking through my photos on my phone and found a pic from nov. 2022 that i was going to use#as a reference pic for a figure drawing assignment that i was going to use. but my professor allowed me to draw#my grandmother instead of myself. so i never did that dramatic self-portrait assignment. i did a dramatic grandmother portrait#but i did like the dramatic-lighting picture i took of myself well enough and figured i would draw it someday#im just leaving this as a started picture for now. this wasnt much work at all maybe like 15 minutes#it's an ok start.#bc of the fucked up nature of forming a charcoal drawing i have to admit i usually like my progress pictures more than my final works. lol#like they just have a sort of monstruous edge to them. lol

had the second worst great clips visit of my life today but thank fucking gd my hair turned out Okay despite the other horrors
#there are 2 in relatively close proximity to me & the one I like more had like 90 minute wait times#as opposed to 15 at the other place#and I knew it would be awkward & bad bc it always is at that location no matter who the stylist is#And Then It Was#stylist repeatedly misgendered me to her coworker who was giving some other guy almost an identical haircut to mine#said coworker did too despite me checking With My Name Which Is Marcus#& then she accidentally nicked my ear w the clippers#& I think she was worried abt doing it to the other ear so I had to trim around it a little when I got home#very stilted conversation which was mostly my fault and isn’t a crime#but she kept telling me I should try a specific style after she’d already started#& I was just like oh haha maybe next time. like three times over the course of 20 minutes or w/e it was#and ALSO sometimes the great clips employees do not really help you get cleaned off#I was spoiled last time the stylist gave me a dry washcloth to get all the little Bits off my face#but todays stylist just sent me out into the world after using the blow dryer for about 10 seconds#got out to my car. hair all over my face. itchy. nothing to wipe it off with.#anyway. worst time was when someone gave me an extremely incorrect haircut bc of a language barrier & I wasn’t really mad about it#but I did cry in my car after bc I felt So ugly & dysphoric#also last complaint abt this poor person#she seemed to have Very little confidence in her choice of tool and changed the guard on her clippers and what clippers she was holding#like 3x more than was necessary & I know this because I get basically the same haircut every time w very little variation#& it just made me anxious that it was going to look bad bc her behavior was#making me feel like she wasn’t very experienced w the kind of haircut I was asking for#marc.txt#last last complaint for real not abt her#her coworker who was also misgendering me cut my hair last time I was there 😔
