Do you pirate comics? And if you do please gimme your piracy site mine isn't working😞
And could you give me asshole Bruce and Jason fic recs but specifically "I'm a selfish controlling man child and I love my family and will go to hell and back for them and will do anything to keep them safe" Bruce not "I'm an unfeeling man child who only cares for his narrow views of justice"Bruce
If you don't have any fics like this specifically I would gladly take any Bruce and Jason fics that doesn't bash either of the characters or their idles
i gotcha man i gotcha
i personally pirate all my comics on readcomiconline.li, which i find by typing the title of the comic and issue im looking for followed by ‘read’. usually it’s the first option!! it might depend on what country you’re in, though— i’m in the u.s. and it works for me but i’ve heard of people from other places having trouble with it :P
(also, be warned, readcomiconline.li has so. many. pop-ups. use at your own risk)
and oh my god i have so many thank u so much for asking i love giving recs so much (under the cut!!!!)
alrighty bruce and jay fics pls enjoy!!!
Clearly Calm and Keeping Terrorized by Batbirdies
this is one of my favorite fics of all time it’s so good!! it’s literally exactly what you’re looking for. i’d recommend reading the entire series for full affect, but a very basic summary of the plot is bruce goes to therapy and tries to unruin his familial relationships :-) this fic focuses on his attempts w jason. so great!
This Place we Built with Grace and Guilt by Cerusee
yeeowch this one hurts!! another one of my favorite authors, definitely also check out the rest of cerusee’s works, they’re great!! if i had to describe this fic in one word it would be GUILT
The Penny Drops, The Penny Dreads by Batbirdies
omg second batbirdies fic on this list they just get bruce and jay like no one else what can i say!!! this is the only wip on this list but it is very good and i can’t wait for more!! jason and bruce trying to figure out how to have a relationship w their contrasting class backgrounds
The Distance Between Us by AutumnHobbit
this is the one i instantly thought of when i saw ur ask— autumnhobbit is so good! bruce is traumatized and trying his best and that’s what matters
the city carries ruin in its hearts by nex_et_nox
outsider pov of bruce and jason’s relationship!! an interesting perspective, jim gordon is a surprisingly fun character to read!!
borderline by TheResurrectionist
this isn’t specifically jason and bruce and more bruce and everyone in the family, but there is some good jason&bruce dynamic. control freak bruce tries to stop being a control freak
Come Alive by captainozone
this is a young justice fic so if you haven’t seen the show you might be a tiny bit confused, but it’s essentially just a ‘jason comes home’ fic!! one of my all time favorites!
THIS ISN’T PUNISHMENT (I LOVE YOU.) by orphenusaki
orphenusaki i love you all your fics are amazing pls never stop writing!! this author is so great so id recommend checking out their other stuff as well, but this one features a long-needed convo between bruce and jason prompted by truth serum.
hope you like these!!!! thanks again for the ask <333 happy reading!!!!

TMNT Leo X Reader: STICKS AND STONES (Part 2)
ITS BACK
I’VE REPOSTED AFTER THE TUMBLR UPDATE DESTROYED THE LAST ONE.
Found this in a glitch actually, I copy and pasted it and it disappeared literally 10 minutes later into the abyss so I don’t know if the Tumblr staff took pity on me?...
ANYWAY
WARNINGS: Cussing, angst, and possible typos. Also it’s long as hell.
Word Count: 3307
Tumblr media
Your gaze drifts over your own reflection, heart pounding in your chest.
“You don’t look like yourself,” April had said when she picked you up from the airport. It was one of the first things she had greeted you with. Now, back in your old city, standing in your old apartment and appraising yourself in your old mirror- you realize that she is right.  In the 6 months that you had been gone, you’ve abandoned your old self and God did it feel good. Like a snake shedding its skin, a butterfly emerging from its cocoon; you are new.
Your once simple and almost bland hair is now vibrant and impossible to ignore. The roots remain their original colour but slowly along its length it weeps into a red that puts Raphael’s mask to shame. A deliberate colour scheme to symbolise the opposition of blue.
Even as you eye the clothing draped over your body, you can’t help but compare the difference between your originally modest and humble style and the present edge you’ve currently obtained.
But the most significant change you display is not a tangible presence, it cannot be observed with a materialistic lens. The thing that stands out the most, as you analyse your own reflection, is not the clothes on your back or the colour of your hair. It’s the confidence.
It was a terrifying concept at first, attempting to push past the fears that plagued you for years. The chains that bound you under the label of shy, socially anxious and introverted were never weak. They were made of hard steel with what you had previously thought to be no weak link to be discovered, but you found it six months ago and its name was Leonardo. When you broke the link, shattered it with a sword of humiliation and scorn, you realised then that the opportunity for growth came after being cut down. You are free of your chains and you want to let the world know that you’ll never be confined by them again. Starting with the one who both restricted you and freed you, you plan to display this newfound power in the best way you could. You’re going to rub it in everyone’s face that you are new.   You are an entirely new being and you plan to bask in it. You want to silently gloat about it to those who thought you to be insignificant. You know your worth now. Precisely why you’ve agreed to visit the infamous lair of the turtles after so long of avoiding it like the plague; trying to pretend it never existed. “You sure you wanna come with?” April questions sceptically, her eyes slowly dragging over your frame. After a hard silence, she throws her hands up in surrender and mutters a sarcastic apology beneath her breath. The reporter knows this meeting will be chaos; not necessarily physical but emotional anarchy for everyone involved. It sounds good in theory, the idea of ‘strutting your stuff’ in front of your ex but the bond between you both was deeper than the average relationship. April knows that tie is still existent whether you choose to acknowledge it and young woman suspects this will not go in accordance to your plans- things rarely do. However, you are stubborn and even the famous reporter is no match against the fury of a woman scorned. Your breathing picks up as April leads you around what seems like the 100th corner in a row- and it’s not because of the amount of unwarranted exercise you’ve been forced into. “Donnie said he’d meet us here,” April huffs, slightly winded by the hefty trek. Before you can reply, a recognisably excited voice pipes up from the shadows of the alleyway. “And I’m here as promised!” You exhale sharply at the sight of the purple clad turtle- it’s been so long since you’ve seen any of the mutant brothers that the presence of even Donatello shocks you. You drink the sight of him in, from the goggles resting atop his head to the gadgets strapped to his ankles. An almost nostalgic sigh is expelled from your system as you shift the strap of your bag on your shoulder, a nervous tick. His gaze lingers on you after greeting April, longer than it should have until he figures it’s illogical to try hide the fact that he is staring. You smile sadly, “Hey, brains. It’s been a while, huh?” His gaze softens and his lips quirk to mimic yours. “Precisely 6 months and 2 days,” he states quietly. His smile widens into a goofy grin, the tension easing up as he rubs the back of his head awkwardly, “who’s counting though?” “I have a suggestion as to who,” April responds suddenly, observing her fingernails when the attention falls upon her. You realise she’s talking about the blue clad turtle and the turmoil within your stomach returns tenfold. You felt physically sick by the idea of seeing him again, having to look into those eyes. A gaze that had once observed you with love, a gaze that was tender and affectionate reserved only for you; a gaze that turned too cold, too quickly. “Speaking of,” Donnie begins quietly, “everyone’s waiting downstairs for you guys.” He nods his head towards to the open manhole cover and you swallow thickly. You almost wish that the walk to the lair was as long as the trek it had taken to meet Donnie at the rendezvous point. Your heart has basically nestled itself in your throat and you know that there will be difficulty dislodging it. As your little band of three approach the entrance to the lair you force your racing mind to stop, this was all done for a reason. You will not allow yourself to be weak, to become unravelled by a person you once knew. They are no longer a part of you, they no longer define you, they no longer value you the way they once did but you value yourself and that is what makes you infinitely more powerful than you were. You know your self-worth, you know you deserve just as much respect as anyone else. After 6 months of inner struggles and the journey to self-love you absolutely refuse to be shaken. However, as told by Mike Tyson, “everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” You figure that it wasn’t meant to be coupled with this current situation, but anything can be applied to everything depending on the individual’s approach.
As you enter the room holding Donatello’s brothers, you realise that seeing Leonardo’s face damn well felt like a nasty uppercut. As Mike Tyson predicted, anything witty you had planned to say has expelled itself from your mind.
A glacier like gaze skims over your being repeatedly, slower each time. The ice melts into pools of emotion, collecting at the water line of his eyes. Your mouth opens, fighting to make a sassy remark that you had planned previously- you failed miserably. A name slips from his lips, your name. It sounds foreign, why does it sound like that when it used to be comforting? Why does he say it like that? With longing, with sorrow. He has no right to long for you. But he does have a reason to be sorry. You straighten your posture and set your jaw, forcing your sights to rip away from him as if he wasn’t worth any time of day. Settling your gaze onto Raphael, his lips curl into a charming lopsided smirk. “I like your hair,” he states; stepping forward with a confident sway. Seems you aren’t the only one who’s grown. “It reminded me of you,” you tease playfully, a grin finally gracing your previously tense features. Through your peripheral vision you catch the slightest flinch from Leo. Raph returns the sentiment with a brilliant smile and you’re shocked by both the act and the way he immediately reaches out to embrace you. Blatant affection from the temperamental warrior was a rarity, to be the object of said affection made your heart swell. “It’s been hell without you here,” his words are pressed against your ear, quietly swallowing the air around you. He frees you from his embrace, eyeing you with a meaningful glance before returning to his resting expression- a mixture of irritation and arrogance. “I’ll go wake Mikey up,” he suggests, disappearing past Leo and into the tunnels. Something about the way he spoke confirmed to everyone that he was doing no such thing. April and Donnie, unfortunately, also got the unspoken memo. “Well, I’m just going to um-” Brains mutters awkwardly, spinning in a half circle away from you. “Show me the lab! He’s going to show me the lab,” April exclaims, gripping his bicep and dragging him in the opposite direction. “You know? TCRI isn’t going to disappear over night!” The duo left the room in a flurry of nervous mumbling, leaving you to face Leo by yourself. You swallow your nerves and un-furrow your brows, determined to give this turtle absolutely no rope and no leverage. You are in control here. Your gaze returns to Leo with hooded eyes and cold intentions. He steps forward as if to embrace you but your stare stops him dead in his tracks. Blue’s mouth opens and closes repeatedly as if he is confused by the apparent shift in attitude. You take his clear vulnerability as an opportunity to speak, looking around the lair with nonchalance. “You know, I really missed this place,” you state, tossing a side glance at the still turtle. “I missed your brothers, I missed Splinter- God knows I missed the pizza.” Your fingers trail over the railing beside you casually as you reign yourself in to ensure the confident voice doesn’t waver. With two slow and long strides forward towards Leo, you Harden your gaze and let it rest on him. “You know what I didn’t miss though?” You question, taking another step closer to the turtle who suddenly looks almost alarmed. “You.” You cross your arms and square your sights on him, “I didn’t miss you at all.” His jaw clenches before an emotion crosses his face, one you’ve never seen before. You find yourself beginning to wish you hadn’t stepped so close. “You’ve always been a bad liar,” Leo’s voice is quiet but hard. Your eyebrows raise at his immediate response. You’d hurt him with your words, you can tell by the silent strain in his voice. His icy stare narrows in on yours and he takes a step towards you- it feels like the ground is shaking. Resisting the urge to step away from him, you instead opt to swallow nervously and raise your chin in defiance. “You wouldn’t know,” you say. “I’ve never lied to you. That was your job.” Just like that, Leo’s strong facade shatters. His expression opens, revealing sorrow and harrowing regret, your heart squeezes at the sight. “What I did to you,” he begins, licking his lips as he pauses. “What I said to you was wrong.” “You’re stating the obvious again,” you force a tone of boredom but your hands begin to tremble. Leo’s swift gaze travels from your eyes to your lips, they trail from your shoulders to your shaking hands. His stare lingers there for a moment and his brow ridge furrows slightly. “I’m sorry.” His words are barely a whisper. His sorrow incites fury; two words cannot erase months of heartache, betrayal and tears. You narrow your eyes at him. You’re furious at Leo for what he’s done, you’re furious at him for seeking forgiveness through just two words but mostly you’re furious at yourself for wanting to forgive him so easily. Your blood boils at the fact that you wish he was the first to approach you, to embrace you, to express how much he missed you. But he wasn’t; he didn’t say a word. However, you were never one to slap away an apology- even if the last thing you want to do is forgive them. “Apology accepted. Have a nice day, Leonardo,” you laugh bitterly, turning on your heel with the intention to be in the company of anyone but the turtle with the blue bandana. How disappointing. “I can’t.” His voice is sharp, demanding to be heard. You frown and face him. “Can’t what?” “I can’t have a nice day,” he states, almost frustrated with himself. You pull your shoulders into a shrug. “Well, that’s unfortunate,” you say carelessly, motioning to continue with your departure. “I can’t have a nice anything, actually,” he continues. Leo steps closer and the intensity of his gaze weighs down on you- forcing you to be still where you stand. “I can’t have a nice meal, a nice training session or a nice patrol.” Your eyes widen as he grits his teeth and moves closer, it feels like the air is being drawn from the room. “I can barely close my fucking eyes at night, let alone have a nice sleep,” he snaps and you swallow at the sound of the cuss being spat out from between his teeth. It sounded alien and misplaced, he hates swearing. Your breath leaves you in a subtle tremble, your eyes unable to tear themselves away from him. “How so?” You whisper. He chuckles humourlessly and you note that it’s almost self-deprecating in tone. “Because I sent away the one person that made things nice. Nothing has even come close, ever since.” You stare at him, heart pounding in your chest and tears gathering in your eyes. This was becoming vastly more complicated than the scenarios you had played out in your mirror at the apartment. “Then why?” You settle for the one question that’s been plaguing your mind for months. “Why did you do it?”   Leo falters before you. Despite him being completely frozen in his tracks, it’s as if you’ve physically just watched him trip over himself at your question. “I…” He trails off, voice a mere, soft rasp. You raise a brow, trying to will back the tears. You are shaking, you know it’s visible, but you can’t find it in you to be embarrassed. “Well?” You prompt impatiently, “you made it your damn mission to break me. I at least deserve a reason, don’t you think?” “Yes,” he whispers. “Of course you do.” “Then spill it,” you snap, swiping the tear that had made a mad dash down your cheek. He eyes you carefully as he words his response carefully, “I was failing. As a leader, as a partner, as a member of the team…” You motion impatiently for him to continue. Leo casts his gaze to the floor, a frown marring his expression. “I couldn’t keep anything together and rather than look at my weaknesses and failed choices as a leader, I blamed you.” He grits his teeth, “I failed and you suffered for it. I thought you were a weakness when in reality you were my strength.” You don’t bother wiping the tears that have begun to basically stream down your cheeks, you know that’s a lost cause. Leo, catching your small sniffle, glances up and his face contorts to one of guilt. Your ex-lover makes an instinctual move to comfort you. “What do you want me to say?” You ask, wrapping your arms around yourself and stepping away from his advances carefully. “That it’s fine? That we can go back to what was? You can’t humiliate me and toss me aside then expect me back when you realise your mistake,” you snap. Leo’s eyes soften, “I don’t expect that from you.” “Then what could you possibly want?” You’re visibly exasperated, not to mention exhausted by this entire exchange. “A chance to try again.” Leonardo states almost pleadingly. You’re stunned by his words, mouth opening in bewilderment. Then you begin to laugh, interrupting his sentence with an almost cruel laugh that subsides into giggles. You imagine that this is possibly a terrifying image considering that your face is still heavily laden with tears. “You think I’m going to just get back with you?” You throw your hands up and turn in a circle, “the mighty Leo has asked something from me so I just must obey. News flash! I’m not your little bitch anymore,” you hiss. “I’m not the same person I was, I will not roll over for you.”
“I know. You’re stronger, you’re smarter and you’re angry. I understand that and you have every right to be but if you’d just give me a chance to prove myself.” He begins, moving close in another habitual attempt to console you. “Damn right I’m smarter, smart enough to stay away from you,” you snap, stepping back from his advances. Instantly he opens his mouth to respond, with wide eyes and hands raised to defuse, “Hold on, I wasn’t done just listen to me-” “No, you listen to me,” you interrupt, halting your retreat and instead stomping towards him, “I am not part of your damn team and you sure as fuck are not my leader!” Your hand had poked into his plastron to emphasise each point and his gaze moves down to eye the hand you had left resting upon him. “You do not get to make demands as if I owe you something.”
His mouth closes and to your surprise a small smile lifts one corner of his mouth. “You don’t owe me anything,” he begins softly. “But I will ask you, please, to let me try earn back your affections and amend what I have failed to do previously.”
You stare at him for a long moment, gaze drinking in every feature of his face. You remember the times before he had distanced himself from you. You remember the affection, the love, the way he had tried to so hard to woo you in every way possible even when you were intimidated by him and it seemed he had no hope. Leo had fought for you, fought to make you comfortable around him, he had made sacrifices to be with you. Your anger begins to slowly ebb as his icy coloured eyes search your own for some sort of agreement. Where did it all go wrong?
He took you for granted and whether he gains your affections later down the track or not, he has still paid the price.
You clench your jaw before a heavy sigh slips from your mouth. The silence is loud as you both wait in anticipation of your decision. You know that allowing him back into your life allows unpredictable elements to gain control, once more. Would he do the same thing under a different lie? Would he treat you the way you’re meant to be treated? Rather than cutting him off and the possibilities of a positive outcome, you decide that letting things move slow will provide ample opportunity to catch any deviations.
“You can try,” you agree, “as friends first, obviously. Don’t get your hopes up for anything beyond that.”
With that, Leonardo cracks a blinding grin- as if he had been waiting his whole life to hear those words. He takes in a breath, one that is not heavy with despair like those he had taken in the past six months. He wants to drop to his knees, express his gratitude for your mercy and promise you the world.
Instead, he settles for a simple, “of course.”
Because, this time, Leo will not waste his chance on words that he knows you will never believe.

Rainy Day (ft the Chocobros and Nyx)
Here's my newest piece y'all!
I was originally planning on doing something revolving around Valentine's Day since that's coming up, but this is what came to me as I started writing it! Hope it's enjoyable! ♡
I did read over this, but if you spot any typos, let me know!
~~
Ignis
Neither of you had had enough free time this month to go on a date until Noctis so graciously ordered Ignis to go home and take the weekend off. On the way home, he had called to make reservations for the next day at one of the restaurants you had expressed interest in. He had called in a favor he was owed by the owner but it would definitely be worth it to see the awe on your face when he told you the news tomorrow morning!
He woke you that morning with breakfast in bed, looking a bit pensive until he saw your eyes open. "Good morning, sweetheart, I brought breakfast," he said softly, helping you sit up and then placing the tray on your lap. "We have dinner reservations unless the weather gets worse." You kissed his cheek before digging into breakfast with gusto, always amazed at how good his food was. The weather did not improve as the day wore on, it kept getting worse. Which had Ignis frowning and you pouting, having wanted to go out tonight.
A sudden idea hit you as you were both watching a nature documentary and you gasped in excitement. "Iggy, baby, what about you teaching me how to cook something new today??" You asked as you turned to him, eyes wide. He looked at you for a long moment as he considered it before nodding. That evening, you changed into a set of old clothes and pulled your hair back to keep it out of your face. Ignis had his sleeves rolled up as he examined what all ingredients were available to see what you would be learning to make. He decided on packed mushroom stew and for dessert it was fluffy chiffon cake, which he was definitely going to have you watch him make so there wasn't a chance of messing up one of his favorite desserts. Despite him being a serious teacher when it comes to cooking, you guys filled the kitchen with your laughter as the lesson went on.
Prompto
You both had the day off together, the first day off you had together in a while. There had been grand plans made in advance. You were going to go to an amusement park for a date and then possibly go see a movie after. You both were excited, even if Prompto didn't say as much to you. You knew him well enough to see his excitement in his movements and actions leading up to the day. The weather forecast had said it would be sunny when you guys went to bed the night before.
You awoke on the big day, only to frown when you looked out the window. It was rather overcast looking and you were sure it wasn't going to bode well for your date. You made sure to whip up a quick breakfast before going to wake your sunshine up. It was as you were both eating that a storm started. The first clap of thunder had you both jumping in your seats. The pout was forming on his face seconds later with a pitiful "there goes our date" following immediately. You shooed him off to go get dressed anyway and started on dishes, a plan forming in your mind.
After dishes were done, you stood in front of Prompto smiling. You had changed as soon as you were done and you held your hand out to him. "C'mon, Prom," you urged, bouncing on the balls of your feet. He took your hand a bit hesitantly but was willing to follow you. You made sure all electronics were left in the house before dragging him outside. "Let's play in the rain! We haven't done that in ages!" Needless to say, you guys had fun and came back in soaked to the bone, but it was worth it!
Noctis
He had planned an elaborate picnic date but hadn't even thought to check the weather forecast. It's not like mother nature would go against the Prince. Or so he thought. The day of the picnic, he tapped his fingers restlessly on the desk he was sat behind. He could hear the rain as it hit the windows, now his date was going to be ruined! But he didn't know that Ignis had text you to let you know that Noctis was in a sour mood.
He didn't tell you why, of course, and you flew into a flurry of movements, gathering stuff up immediately, not even thinking to question why your boyfriend was in such a bad mood. Once you had everything gathered, you rushed out to the car that you had had Ignis send to fetch you. You arrived at the Citadel without much hassle, although it took longer than you would've liked due to the weather. Ignis met you at the car door with a large umbrella opened to keep you both from getting soaked. He escorted you up to the room the Prince was in and motioned for you to enter with a smile before he disappeared.
You knocked once before entering, smiling brightly at your other half. He was already surprised that you came to see him at work but his surprise changed to confusion when he saw you carrying a bag that appeared to be heavy. "Babe? What're you doing here? Let me take that from you!" He was up and coming towards you immediately. You explained that you figured he hadn't eaten yet and decided to bring lunch to him. You smiled shyly when you said it could be an indoor picnic since you obviously couldn't go out, not knowing that you had mirrored his date idea for you.
Gladio
You and Galdio had been planning a camping weekend for weeks, trying to find the best place and best weekend to do it. You guys had finally hammered out all of the details and were eagerly waiting for the weekend to hit. Neither of you had been outside of the city for anything other than work in months and it was going to be a nice way to relax and recharge!
A storm hit the night before and you frowned nervously at you slid into bed beside your boyfriend, hoping it would clear up by the time morning came. No such luck. As soon as Gladio gently shook you awake, you could hear the rain still falling. "Sorry, babe, I know you were looking forward to today... I'm gonna run over to see Ignis, I'll be back soon, promise." He pressed a kiss to your forehead and you mumbled an okay, not awake enough to question it. The rain lulled you back to sleep soon after you heard the door click shut. You woke up to a kiss to your cheek and you grunted but cracked your eyes open. Only to see your boyfriend smiling sweetly at you. It took a few minutes to realize he was excited and your eyes opened completely. Your voice was rough from sleep when you asked him what had him so happy.
His smile didn't falter as he helped you from bed. When he said nothing about it as he lead you to the guest bedroom, you figured you'd fine out soon enough. "I know it's not the same...but I hope this makes up for not being able to go camping." He spoke softly, cupping your face in his hands before turning to open the door and gently nudge you into the room. The bed had been moved to the side of the room, there were sleeping bags and blankets and pillows on the floor, and the window had been covered with a black blanket, blocking out what sunlight there was. But you didn't have to worry about not being able to see as he shut the door because a star projector put the constellations up on the ceiling. You both laid there, staring up at the stars on the ceiling and you couldn't think of a better way to spend the rainy day as you rested your head on his shoulder.
Nyx
Neither of you had wanted to make grand plans for your weekend off together, knowing from past experiences that something would probably happen if you did. You were fine with that, you were fine with winging it. It was always exciting to see what Nyx could come up with on the spot, he had yet to let you down in any way.
You both went to bed the night before, anticipating the following day. You woke up before him and frowned when you saw it was raining. That would limit your options drastically since Nyx didn't want to risk you getting sick. Before you could get up to make breakfast, he was grabbing your arm and tugging you down to cuddle. "'S rainin', come back t'sleep," he demanded sleepily. You cooed at him but let him pull you down to cuddle and get some more sleep. The next time you awoke, it was still raining but your boyfriend was nowhere to be found, making you frown in sleepy confusion. "Nyx?" You called out as you crawled out of bed, pulling on one of his shirts that was lying discarded on the floor. You heard him let out a startled sound from somewhere in the apartment followed by a panicked "don't come out yet!!" You were confused but let out a little laugh, wondering what in the world he was up to.
You took that time to change the bedsheets and gather up dirty laundry to be washed later. It was as you were laying on the floor trying to grab the one sock from under the bed that you heard Nyx's voice come from the doorway. "While this is a nice view, I have something to show you." He startled you but you managed to not knock your head on the bed frame. He waited until you were up and brushing yourself off to grab your hands and lead you to the living room. At first you didn't understand what you were seeing and then, suddenly, you got it. He had made a giant blanket fort in the living room that was lit with string lights you guys had bought but never used, the floor of the fort was padded with cushions, pillows, and whatever spare blankets he could find. Your mouth was agape but you knew your expression was conveying your shock and astonishment when he led you into it and had you sit down. "I made breakfast too!" He said suddenly, gesturing to the table in the middle of the fort with a proud smile. You hadn't seen him so pleased with himself before.

Angel on Wheels (Credence Barebone x Reader Imagine)
Words: 1491
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Credence or any character from the FBAWTFT universe. Queen JKR does. I'm just a Hufflepuff Nerd who writes fanfiction to fulfill her happy Credence cravings. GIF credits to the user.
Request: Hi I was wondering if you could do a Credence x shy wheelchair reader imagine thing where the reader is insecure and doesn't think any one will love her because of her disability but gets proven wrong by Credence who shows her he loves her with lots of fluff and maybe a kiss and an excited Queenie (maybe the gang are hanging out at the time) it would mean a lot if you could do this as I often feel this way about my disability xxx bye
A pleasant breeze weaved it's way through the trees, carving a path through the gently rustling foliage and fluttering autumn leaves. Vivid shades of red, yellow and orange glittered across the expanse of Central Park, giving the abundance of trees the illusion of wearing tiaras set with gemstones. Quite unlike a place set in the heart of a bustling city like New York.
Credence took a deep breath. The crisp air that filled his lungs gave him a sudden burst of energy and awareness. His Obscurus thrummed in approval beneath the surface of his skin, alight with the excitement that he was feeling. The entity had become less of a uncontrollable beast and more of a sentient existence, omnipresent as a silent spectator. Always aware, watching.
Had he been the Credence of a year ago, the Obscurus would have burst forth at the slightest fluctuation in his feelings. Though that was a given since fear was the only emotion he felt back then. Constant and intense fear. Accompanied by a pulsing rage that was barely contained. Looking around him, he was thankful that all of that was in the past. He looked on as Newt and Tina bickered about which spot would be ideal for setting up their picnic. It seemed that Pickett was voicing his own reservations from his sanctuary in Newt's pocket, a chirrup or two at a time. Queenie was talking animatedly with Jacob about the contents of the food basket and how their joint efforts had turned it into a sumptuous feast. The jovial Muggle was smiling widely, probably just content being with his beautiful blonde lover.
Credence's gaze then shifted to Y/N as she sat in her wheelchair, staring off in the distance. He followed her line of sight and realised that she was looking at a pair of cyclists who were pedalling leisurely. Occasionally hooking hands, the couple was very apparently in love. Feeling someone's gaze on her, she turned around to look straight at him. She tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, a shy smile lighting up her face and Credence's heart skipped a beat. It had been doing that every time he saw Y/N. Even in a room full of people his eyes always searched for her, settled on her and grounded him to the present.
Gravel crunched under his feet as long strides took Credence towards her. He stood beside Y/N as they looked upon the cyclists slowly disappearing in the distance. He had never been a man of many words and the comfortable silence between them was what always drew him to her. Ever since 'the incident' (that's how he referred to nearly blowing up New York in his rage) and being subsequently saved by Newt, he had been in the care of Y/N's brother, a trusted acquaintance of Tina's and a respected Healer.
She assisted her brother in making healing draughts, potions & poultices, curing minor injuries and ailments, tending to their extensive herb garden and taking care of people like Credence. Though the last one was less of a duty and more of a preference, he hoped. All this was done whilst occupying a magically reinforced wheelchair that adapted itself to her surroundings, giving her approach a surreal, gliding effect. More than once, he had thought of her as a superhero without a cape, whizzing about her daily duties like a bumbling source of joy.
She looked at him again and held his gaze for a brief second, before training her attention upon the slender fingers clasped in her lap. Her nervous fidgeting everytime their eyes met endeared him the most to her. Above all, when they had first met, she had greeted him with a smile holding the same warmth as it did now, one year later. It was quite akin to being enveloped in your favourite warm and super soft from overuse jumper on a rainy day. During his slow recuperation, he often got bored out of his mind. Being bed ridden without much to do except stare at the ceiling as the sunlight made its daily trajectory from one corner of the roof to another. That was when she came up with the idea of reading aloud from old school books. The lazy afternoons spent in their home, while she softly read out from a battered copy of History of Magic had helped immensely in his long recovery process. It was also one of his favourite memories of her.
"I sometimes wonder..." her mumbled words snapped his attention to the present. He waited for her to continue but when it became apparent that no more words would be forthcoming, he spoke up. "About what?" "Whether I will ever be able to do things like that..." he opened his mouth once. Twice. The image of the cyclists holding hands popped in his mind, only this time it was him and Y/N that he visualised. Lost for words and appalled at the absurdity of his thoughts, Credence blurted out, "Cycling?" His response earned him a wry shake of her head. "No, falling in love." The sad smile that she gave him in return made him berate himself a thousand times more. Besides being extremely dense and unable to read the atmosphere, his insensitivity had probably ruined any pleasant feelings she might have harboured about him.
The air had abruptly become heavy, as if the melancholy that Y/N was feeling had tinted the wind with hues of blue and murky grey, mirroring the mood. Unable to bear the sudden, oppressive silence anymore Credence said, "I.. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you..." But she merely shook her head. She pondered over something before finally sharing what was truly bothering her.  "I wasn't offended...just, things like that make me wonder whether anyone would ever think of me...in that way. It's not easy... finding someone who'd love you, especially for a person like me." The silent resignation that flitted across her otherwise cheery and bashful features unsettled him the most.
It was enough to make him crouch so that he was kneeling beside her. Taking Y/N's hand in his, Credence gave it a firm squeeze before saying, "You are kind, hard-working, dedicated and fiercely loyal to your loved ones. Your warmth translates into your actions and any person who receives your affections should be immensely grateful for it. I don't know what made you think so lowly of yourself but please, stop." "It's just the truth Credence. Who would like someone like me when there's so many better..." The affronted noise that he made stopped Y/N mid sentence. Taken aback by the earnestness blazing in his brown eyes, she could only stare as his face inched closer to her own. A calloused hand grasped her face with surprising tenderness before his lips crashed into her's in a flurry of barely restrained passion. Warm, soft and tasting faintly like a sweet caramel toffee. His lips entranced her into a seductive dance that made her giddy and slightly out of breath. It wasn't long before they broke apart, gasping for oxygen.
Mesmerized by the flush that adorned his usually pale face and blushing a deep beet root herself, all Y/N's scrambled grey cells could manage was a barely coherent, "W-what...?" Credence looked at her for a moment, as if making sure that this surreal moment was actually happening before confessing, "You look extremely beautiful when you blush, you know. It's one of the many things that I love about you." On hearing his words, her flushed cheeks darkened into a deeper shade. His thumb brushed her lips once before he continued, "And how can anyone not fall for such an adorable angel on wheels?" He gave her a loving smile before capturing her lips once again. They would have continued for longer had they not been interrupted by a delighted squeal.
They broke apart to see Queenie clasping her hands together, excitement alight on her smiling face. "See Teenie, I had told you they would get together sooner or later! It was just a matter of time!" Tina rolled her eyes at her sister's enthusiasm but gave the couple a warm chuckle, "You two love birds, come on. We finally found a place that Mr Perfectionist here approves of." She glanced subtly at Newt who gave a sheepish grin of his own.
Credence nodded. However, he didn't give much of a warning as he proceeded to scoop up Y/N from her seat and take her to their decided picnic spot. She clasped her arms tightly around his neck, her heart beating a mile a minute. Nervousness mixed with a heady dose of intense happiness coursed through her veins. "Shall we?" he asked, with a carefree smile on his face. His boyish charm captured her thudding heart anew. "We shall", she murmured, before resting her head on his chest. Love had helped even an angel on wheels to grow wings.

A/N: I hope you like this, lovely anon. I'm of the opinion that Credence is more about non verbal displays of affection and he would constantly show how much he adores you through small gestures like forehead kisses and holding hands etc. Above all, he'd treasure you for who you are, and that means all of you. I bet you are awesome and nobody can tell me otherwise. There's love for every one of us out there and it often finds us in small, sweet ways we never dreamt of. You can always talk to me if you need an overeager Honey Badger rooting for you! :)
Excuse any typos and hope you guys liked this tiny morsel of Credence fluff. Let me know how you found it!
