Gear5 luffy is like catnip to sanji fr fr also all im imagining is giant gear 5 luffy picking sanji up like ‘youre my friend now!! :]’

Also yeah, Gear 5/JoyBoy/Nika is the embodiment of freedom and Sanji has been a prisoner most of his life, physically or metaphorically. Sanji being the first one to fight alongside Luffy in that form is poetic. Sanji who bathes everyone(even Zoro in their own fucked fight to show my love way) in compliments and carrying their burdens as if doesnt have his own weight bearing down on him.

Luffy would absolutely pick him up in Gear 5 and bathe him in a light that is so warm and loving. To Sanji it reminds him of The Orbit, of Baratie being closed, it probably also reminds him of his mom in a way.

And Luffy and Sora would have absolutely loved each other.
