“no,”
“what do you mean by no? yeonjun asks, “You can’t or won’t?” He's leaning back against the headboard, scrolling on his phone when he gets the message in his group chat.
“I won’t,” you shrug, snuggling closer to Kai. He's half asleep, nose pressed to the back of your neck, arms loosely wrapped around you.
“It's only one month, you’re saying you can’t go one month without sex?”
“Not that I can’t, just that I won’t. It’s so stupid if I want to cum I will, with or without you,” you pat the back of huenings hand resting against your stomach. “I do have two boys to take care of me,”
kai chuckles, sleep ridden in the rumble on your back, “I’m going to try it,”
“I cannot believe both of you are falling into peer pressure, just cause the other boys are doing it doesn’t mean you have to,”
“I was told if I hold out longer than beomgyu I get a free coffee for every day I last,” yeonjun flips his phone for you to see his chat, and sure enough everyone is bragging about how they could make it till the end of November without getting off.
“Fine, do what you want. I’m not going to sit and beg you,” holding up two fingers you wave them in his face, “I can do it myself,”
“You don't even know how to use these,” he grabs at your wrist, pressing a kiss to your fingertips.
“I'll spend the month learning, or I'll just use the vibrator and the two of you will just have to sit and watch,”
It seemed like such a light threat at the time. Not one that you would hold to but it wasn't as if you needed to hold it in the first place. Only two days in and it felt like both of them would fail. Neither of them brought this up to you, but it wasn't like they needed to, the signs were everywhere.
Yeonjun had taken to spending time in the office when studying, all of his school work done with no time left for cuddling on the couch with you. More time spent working out with taehyun and less flirty texts in between sessions like he usually sent. Huening on the other hand was slowly closing off. His tight responses ended in silence, hardly answering in your group chat. Even in bed at night both of their backs turned to you as you lay there looking up at the ceiling.
It wasn't as if you all were sex addicts, what the challenge really was, was knowing that you couldn't do something vs. just not being in the mood. It was the forbidden fruit effect spread out before them. Everything you did now was hot even if it was the most mundane thing imaginable. The season was changing and now even just watching you take off your coat after coming in from outside was enough to get them hard. Just the idea of taking your clothes off, even just one layer, was enough to send them on their way to their respective avoidance programs.
You could be laying on the couch, half asleep, and answering a question with a hum and they were done for. Even worse at night when you would change, or come fresh out of the shower, hair still dripping, leaving your shirt spotted with wet dots, the fabric getting cold enough to make your nipples hard. It was a curse to witness you walk out into the living room with your shorts showing so much skin.
And you could see it on their faces, the way their jaws tightened, throats bobbing as they swallowed. You had never seen Kai look so expressionless. Every little thing is pent up inside him, the negative aura radiating off of him as you sit down between them. Even just seeing your bare thigh sent them into the other room.
A week in is around the time you think they are going to break. Yeonjun coming home from his workout, hair still sweaty and sticking to his forehead as he wraps his arms around you from behind. His soft kisses on your neck as you prepare a cup of tea. “Want one?”
“No, I'm good,” his hands traveling under and up your shirt. It was the first time since that conversation in the bed that he's put his hands on you in any way besides helping to guide you by the small of your lower back. You melted into his hold, head rolling back, letting him feel over your skin.
Neither of you hear Kai's feet padding across the apartment's floor. Don't notice him standing right in the doorway until he clears his throat, “so you've given up already?” The accusation sounds more like a warning. It's like he's thrown a bucket of ice water over yeonjun, the realization crushing his forgetfulness. He tugs his hands away from you like you're a hot stove he's gotten too close to. “Jjunie-”
He doesn't even look up, hand over his eyes as he turns away, “No, I'm going to take a very cold shower,”
“I'll join!” it's mostly a joke, your giggle making them both scowl.
“No, stop talking about being naked around me right now,”
“Why?” you ask, leaning against the counter, tilting your head as he tries to wave away the word. Your smile stuck as he walked away.
“You're evil,” he tosses over his shoulder leaving you alone with huening. You can feel him standing there watching you. His hands shoved into the pockets of his hoodie while he leaned against the door frame.
“Do you want some?” you ask, pouring a spoonful of honey into your mug. He watches the way it dribbles and sees a dot drop to the counter, your fingers scooping it up and taking it to your mouth.
He watches you suck the honey off, not even caring that he's right there watching, hands tightening into fists as he thinks about the way your tongue would feel. He thinks he's hiding it well, that you can’t tell he's struggling so much. But he's so obvious, shaking his head and muttering that he's going to bed early. He swears he is never this horny, the two of you have gone well past a few weeks without having sex before and not even thinking much about it. Only now it’s all he can think about and it's making him feel sick, his stomach tightening every time he sees you in a room, like at any moment it won't be him you go to first to ask to get off.
Never has he been so jealous in his life, not even about yeonjun for kissing you but over your own fingers. Even if you caved and asked yeonjun to be the one to take care of you he wouldn't mind, he'd give up without question, but the idea that you can just walk around and sit with your own hand down your pants was what was killing him.
He could see it in his head, could picture that time you were struggling to get off with tears in your eyes, how he helped you just like you needed, yeonjun over the phone telling him to take care of you. He wanted that, he needed that. He wanted to help you again, he wanted you to help him, and yet he also wanted to last longer than yeonjun.
But you had had enough of watching the two of them being so avoidant. Feeling plagued by kai’s mood and yeonjun absence over something so stupid was annoying. Not caring about your tea you followed after Kai. He was already climbing onto the bed, curling up away from your side, arms crossed and eyes closed as you hopped in after him.
He doesn't acknowledge you are there even when you sneak your arms under him, wrapping him up and being the big spoon behind him. You press your face into his neck, breathing in his comforting smell, humming right against his ear.
“Hyuka?” it's rare you use the nickname, only when you really want something, kai associating it the most with your desperate calls for him to touch you. You can feel his body tightening, your leg raising to lay on top of his, tugging him even closer to you. “You're so tense,” Your hand on his stomach rubs in soft circles over the fabric of his hoodie, his breath hitching every time you pass over the waistband of his sweatpants. “You know I could help with that,”
Kai pulls himself away from you, all the way off the bed as you roll on your back. The little smile on your lips eating him alive. He was hard, painfully so, watching you there softly roll your hips, beckoning him. He can hear the sound of the shower, the beating water, the only other noise in the room, the light under the door fanning out around the floor. He watched you sit up on your knees, right at the edge of the bed, hands reaching out to tug him closer to you.
He let it happen, caved, and leaned down to rest his forehead on yours, eyes pinched closed as he muttered, “You're Killing me,” he could feel your smile when you kissed him, arms wrapping around his neck.
You had him right where you wanted him, his whimpers between kisses only pushing you on, pulling him back to the bed. He didn't say anything as he laid back against the headboard, your legs straddling him, and your hands already pulling off his top. “I shouldn't-”
“I won't tell,” you say in between kisses, his erection pressed into your thigh. “We can be quick, yeonjun won't even have to know,”
“He’ll know,” kai’s not even trying to keep it down, his soft whimpers leaving every time he rolls his hips to try and gain friction against your leg. “And I won't stop after just once, I don't think it will be enough,”
Both of you jump at the sound of yeonjuns voice, “What is this? My girlfriend in bed with another man?” Neither of you had even heard the water turn off, the steam still wafting out of the bathroom behind yeonjun as he rubbed a towel against his wet hair.
“Oh no Huening, I think my boyfriend caught us,” sometimes the three of you liked to joke like this, poking fun at the idea of what others thought about your relationship. But Kai wasn't in the mood. He wrapped his arms around you, flipping you over so you were on your back and he was on top pushing you into the mattress.
“My girlfriend, my bed. I want first,” he leaves no room for argument, his mouth back on your neck, hips grinding into yours.
“Giving up so early already Huening, I knew you couldn't last,” yeonjun tisks, he sits back in his chair in the corner of the room, his favorite view for moments like this. His towel is draped across his bare shoulders, arms crossed as he looks right at you. “And you, I'm sure you teased him into it,”
“no, I’d never do something like that,”
“Liar,” they both say at the same time, kai’s face pressed against your neck, hot mouth working down your throat. You wrap your legs around him pushing him closer, his breathy whimpers right in your ear. Twisting your fingers into kai's hair you pull on the strands, your smile eating yeonjun alive. He could tell himself he wouldn't cave but he knows it's a slim chance when he sees you like this with huening.
Not when he watches the way your lips fall open when kai pushes into you, the sweet little sounds you're making leaves him hard in seconds. It's worse now too because you're looking at him like you know exactly what he's thinking. And you do know, it's not too hard to guess as he leans back with his arms crossed, knuckles turning white as he readjusts in his seat to try and find some kind of relief.
Kai didn't even feel the need to strip you, pushing your panties to the side and not worrying about preparing you. The guttural moan he released when he was fully seated inside you reverberated against your whole body. He was a mess of whimpers, arms wrapping around you pulling you as close as he could, shallow thrusts in apology for ever denying himself from you. “Never again- I won't- I can't-” he's trying to get the words out, broken moans filtering through each breath he takes.
“He can't even talk, and I'm not even going to judge because if it's anything like how I remember I'd be just as bad,” yeonjun mutters, his jaw so tight he hardly opens his mouth to say it.
“Jjunie,” you moan, tugging kais hair as his hips stutter against yours, “don't you want to cum for me?”
Kai won't last hearing the word come from your mouth, every thrust just making you wetter, your warmth pulling him in. He's surprised he even lasted this long before he felt his first orgasm. If it wasn’t for the way he starts to tremble you wouldn't have noticed that he has cum already, not when he doesn’t pull out, doesn’t even slow down.
“Don't give me that look,” yeonjun warns, but it is not like you can help it when kai is pulling one of your legs up by the back of your knee, his hips sinking deeper, your eyes rolling back at the new depth.
Yeonjun doesn't even notice how his own hips are moving, leaning back just enough in his chair so that each roll gives him the just right amount of friction against his oversized sweatpants. He's trying not to make it obvious just how hard he is but he's finding it harder and harder to keep his hands off himself and away from you when the headboard starts to creek against the wall.
Huenings lets out a mix of grunts and whimpers, his cum making you so much easier to slip in and out of, the soft slapping sound of his thighs against yours drowning out any other thought in his mind. “Look at me,” he's gasping, pulling back just enough so that his hand not holding your leg can grasp the headboard, softening the sound for only a second before the bed is back to squeaking.
You don't deny him, his hair hanging around his eyes, mouth open as he feels the first tingle of overstimulation, thin silver chain necklace dangling just above your chin. His knees are digging into the mattress, the angle pushing him so much deeper. You reach down with one hand to rub on your clit, the other scratching at the back of his neck.
He's finding it hard to keep his eyes open as he tried not to cum again, “God you look so pretty like this,”
“Did you miss me?”
“Fuck yes, I missed this- I missed your pussy so- so much,” he trails off in a whimper, head tossed back exposing his throat to you.
Your orgasm is so close, aided by all of his desperate sounds. When all of his little ‘ah-ah’s’ get close together you feel yourself tip over the edge. Kai can’t handle the way you clench around him, the both of you are so wrapped up in each other that you don't notice the way yeonjun has to close his eyes. He's begging and praying that he could be stronger than he is but this is too much for him.
Worst still is how you look over at him at just the last second, a taunt caught right in your creased brow. He can't even take the pressure of his pants anymore, he tugs them down, cock hitting his stomach, heavy and aching. It does little to cure him of this need.
Kai lets go of the headboard, arms pulling you closer as he peppers your face in kisses, his happy giggle pressed right to your pulse. “Do you feel better?”
“So much,” he sighs, “I don't even care about losing anymore I just wanted- no I needed you so bad,”
“You know who else needs to forget the stupid bet?” your eyes are trained on the way yeonjun is trying and failing not to move his hips. Every micro-movement brushing his red tip against his skin gives the smallest amount of relief but not enough.
“Don't talk like I'm not right here,” his eyes are closed, fingers leaving imprints on his biceps.
“You should help him,” Kai continues, nose sliding down your cheek before he gives a soft kiss to the edge of your mouth. He pulls away, leaning back on his heels as he pulls out of you, quick to move your panties into place to catch any of your combined release in place to not spill on the sheets.
Standing on shaking legs you stand, stumbling until yeonjun pulls you on top of him. He's groaning as soon as you straddle him, his hands on your hips like a vise. “Why torture me?”
“No one said you had to watch, I was content with not letting you know but you sat down and didn't look away,” your nails lightly scratch over his chest, his humming response matches the subtle way he's trying to grind up into your clothed clit, panties wet and warm against him.
“I'll just put it in, I won't even move, I just- I need something,” it's like he's asking permission, wondering if this will mean he's failed, if you'll tell on him. Huening chuckles from the bed, knowing the truth because the second yeonjun slips in he won't be able to help himself.
“Okay, I won't move either,” you slip your hand down to pull your underwear to the side, the dribbles of your slick and kais cum leak all over. Dripping onto yeonjuns veiny cock and stomach. You try to wipe it away, your fingers on him making his ads flex, cock jumping when you put your fingers to your mouth, sucking away the saltiness. You barely get your fingers away from your mouth before yeonjuns kiss you. His favorite taste is you mixed with cum.
When you sink down on him both of you moan, the sound caught right in the back of your throat, his eyes squeezed tight as he tries not to thrust up into you. He's devastated to find that you feel even better than he remembered, his hold on your hips almost bruising as you clench around him.
“This was a horrible idea,” he’s gasping, “oh shit- i-,” he's cut off by your first attempt at moving up and down. “No, don’t, I won't be able to last-”
“But jjunie-” you whine, hand pushing into your lower stomach, right over where you can feel him pressing so deep into you. “I wanna cum again,”
“She's so greedy,” Kai adds, your hips rocking back and forth enough to leave yeonjun speechless.
Clit grinding onto his pelvis, you don't even care about bouncing anymore, the perfect friction to get you off, the tip of his cock pressed right against your g-spot bumping over and over with each movement of your hips. “You're going to have to get off, I can't lose- I won't-”
But it's not like he's letting you get off of him, he's actively helping you grind down on him, fingers digging into the flesh of your ass, “faster-” he's moaning, your hands on his shoulders for leverage before you're falling apart, your toes curling, every noise pressed right to his ear. The way your walls are fluttering around him makes his balls tighten, “I just won'tcum I just won't- I won't - I- fuck -oh fuuuckk,” He's not even stopping now, thrusting up into you to ride out his high, shoving all his cum as far as he can get it, not worried anymore when it feels this good.
“You're the worst,” yeonjun chuckles after the two of you have caught your breath, “I love you so much, but actually you're evil and I love it,”
“It's not my fault you couldn't help yourself, I told you it was stupid,”
“I just won't tell anyone this happened,” he shrugs but kai laughs from the bed.
“I already told everyone you lost,”

I had an idea, Alastor having strange feelings around Angel Doe! reader, the reader would be an angel, sent from heaven later to help at the hotel, perhaps reader because she is an angel she is very innocent and does not see or understand why alastor acts strange around her
My Angel
Alastor x Fem! Angel Reader
Warnings: 18+, MDNI, Mentions of Murder, Jealousy, Possessiveness, No Smut (just cuz the requester didn’t ask for it)
It had been three months since Heaven sent you to help at the Hazbin Hotel, and Alastor for one could not stand it. It wasn’t that he hated or even remotely disliked you. You were a perfectly pleasant girl. A sweet little doe.
You never bothered him with stupid questions. You respected his boundaries, laughed at his old timey puns, and always greeted him with one of the prettiest smiles he’s ever seen. In fact you smiled a lot, something he appreciated probably more than anyone.
You also had the prettiest eyes, the loviest hair, the sweetest face, big adorable fluffy ears, and whenever he saw your fluffy little tail—he wanted to gently tug on it just to hear you bleat.
You radiated beauty and grace, and were beacon of warmth and comfort. Everything about you was perfect. You were a creature of God, never touched by evil or impurity. There wasn’t a single mean bone in your body.
What he couldn’t stand was this strange feeling he felt around you. It was as if he had butterflies in his stomach and his dead heart would beat faster, even occasionally skipping a beat.
What was more annoying was that you seemed completely oblivious to the what you were doing to him. At first, he thought that this was some kind of effect that angels had on others. However when he asked the others about it, none of them felt the same way he did around you.
“Sounds like you’re in love,” Vaggie said.
“Ahahaha! That’s a good one, my dear!” He laughed.
“Hey, I wouldn’t believe it either. But what you’re describing is what it feels like to be in love.”
In love? Was he really in love with you?
Sure, he felt extremely jealous whenever anyone else was taking up your time. Sure, he felt that you should only be by his side. Sure, he murdered a few sinners who were staring at you when the two of you went out for walks together. Sure, there was a time when an especially lowly wretch had the gall to ask you, the most gorgeous lady to ever live, on a date and Alastor ripped the man in half with his bare hands when you were distracted. And sure, he had frequent dreams about you where he would press you up against a wall and…
“Hmm, perhaps what that angry little woman said was true…I’m in love.”
———————————————————————
“Y/n, my dear, may I speak with you?”
“Of course!” You flashed him that gorgeous smile.
Alastor led you away to a corner where you two could have privacy.
“What is it, Al? You look nervous.”
“Y/n, I…You’re making this more difficult by batting your lovely doe eyes at me.”
“Oh, I’m sorry,” you frowned.
“No, you don’t have to be sorry. Damn it! Why is this so hard to tell you!?” He exclaimed.
“I find it easier to just blurt out whatever you need to say,” you replied.
“You’re right. I’ll just say it! I love you.”
You could feel the heat rising to your cheeks, “Pardon?”
“I love you, Y/n. You’re the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think of before I go to sleep. You’re constantly on my mind, even in my dreams. I love you so much that I can’t breathe when you’re not by my side. When you walk away, I miss you even before you are out of sight. I love you.”
“You mean more than a friend, right?”
Alastor sighed, “Way more than a friend, my darling doe.”
Suddenly that smile that he loved so much returned to your face, “I love you too, my sweet stag! Everything you just said, I feel the exact same way,” you licked his cheek affectionately.
He blushed.
“Oh sorry! I forgot that you used to be human and that humans don’t tend to lick each other.”
“It’s quite alright, my love,” he licked your cheek in the same fashion, “I’m not a human anymore, my doe. I’m your stag.”

Death was inevitable.
You knew it, you felt it, you experienced it. All these years your existence as if was borrowed. Changing places, changing people, changing lives.
You didn't age. You didn't feel. You were stuck in the the neverending loop of lies and deception. You forgot who you were and where you came from.
Your jobs were unremarkable, your entourage - dull. No personal belongings, no memorabilia. Even your memories were almost gone.
It was a usual thing. You were spending your evening at work. For the last few months you were working at the restaurant. Blessed time. You could be on your own.
You heard the door open. But you did lock it.
"We're closed."
One look was enough to recognise her. Just a second and your heart almost burst from your chest. It was her. The inevitable, the dark, the devouring.
"Well, I opened the door. I hope you don't mind."
She was weirdly normal. No skull, no greens, no crown. She could fool anyone with this disguise.
"What are you doing here?" You were ready to protect yourself. Your magic was almost palpable.
"That's a weird question." She crossed her arms. "I came to see you."
"How did you find me?" You were hoping tables and chairs could slow her down. Even a second could be valuable.
"What kind of question is that?" Her amused laugh was an insult to the reality itself. "I never lost you."
"No. no. no." You shook your head in disbelief. "I am protected from your sight. Sorcerers..."
"Oh, those idiots..." She was adorable with her barely hidden disgust. "Noone can be hidden from me. And..."
With the wave of her hand all the obstacles disappeared.
"'... we're bound, my love. remember?"
With a flick of a wrist her way to you was covered in flowers. She made the first step.
"Stay where you are."
"Fine, fine." She looked around. "Nice place. You like working here?"
You couldn't believe it was really going on. Rio was almost polite. You were almost broken. What if she was telling the truth? What if you were never really hidden from her?
"Not much of a choice."
"Really? Sourceres lied to you about protection and they made your existence unbearable? And people call me evil."
"You are."
"How?" Rio was offended. Childish reaction to an unpleasant truth.
"You manipulate people into bringing you more souls."
"Oh, I do hope you're not being serious. I'm the guide, not a murderer. People always make their own choice."
Now it was your turn to laugh. Comedy indeed. With Rio having the main role.
"How dare you..." you took a few steps towards her. "When it comes to you, there's no choice at all. Not even an illusion. Not even for the living."
You were boiling with anger. You were shivering with fear. For so long you tried to avoid this.
"You're not being fair..."
"What are you doing here Rio?!"
"I want us to be together." She pointed to your heart. "I want you to come home with me."
Of course. Why even for a second you believed that you could be free. An illusion, your life without her was nothing more than a dream. She could easily shatter it with one word, with one move.
"We never had a home. We never..."
"Of course we did..." Images of your past appeared.
Yes, Rio did create a world for you. Just and simple. You could do whatever you wanted, you could be whoever you wanted. Everything was easy. And you were loved. Your home was with her.
"Rio..." Everything that was sleeping inside of you suddenly was awake. Yes, memories were appearing again. You felt overwhelmed. But then you gasped. No, you wouldn't allow her to trick you again. "... I won't allow you."
"I don't understand." Rio said under her breath. "I gave you the time and you're still angry."
Genuine confusion. A triumph for you.
"Time?"
"Yes, I gave you 100 years and you still don't want me..."
"You gave me?" lamps started flickering "I ran away from you!"
Oh, this was torture. Rio tried to get closer, but you raised your hand. A warning. The air itself started vibrating.
"The important part is..."
You invited the wind, it was silencing Rio.
"You wanted me to be trapped in your pocket dimension. You don't remember this? Veins of your world that were holding my wrists." You rolled up your sleeves. "Your creations always leave scars!"
"I made a mistake. I gave you the time...."
Rio's words were just an echo. You were once again reliving your worst nightmare. You were trapped. You were betrayed by someone you loved.
"What do you know about time?" You were so stupid to believe that you had a chance. You left the world you loved just to be dragged back in by someone who cursed you.
"I can heal them."
In a blink of an eye your scars disappeared. Painful reminder of your dreams, hopes and stupidity. How soothing it was to feel Rio's black power on you. Where the fuck was your survival instinct?
"It doesn't change anything. I left you."
"I wanted only to protect you."
"With a cage?" Now it was your time to show illusion. Shackles appeared around Rio's wrists, pulling her closer to you. "Do you feel protected?"
Where was her confidence? Where were her tricks? Those shackles were the weight of her guilt.
"I didn't want you to leave me like the others. It was the only way."
It was so simple for Rio. She didn't hesitate, she didn't think. It wasn't a game. It was so trivial.
"You broke me." You were choking on your tears. "You took away everything. Why tonight?"
"That day I broke the rules for you." Rio once again pointed to your heart. You remembered how her touch felt.
"I didn't ask you to."
"No." All the restraints disappeared. "You never had to."
One last step.
"You cursed me."
"I gave you the only thing I had." She touched your cheek. "And then I've made the worst mistake I ever could."
You hated her. How she was capable of showing deepest love and greatest disdain. Mistake? You were the one who had to pay for it. And now she was calling you back.
"We are bound." You shared the same black blood. Immortality. Her gift. What was the point of denying it?
You took the last step. It was so easy to find comfort in her embrace. There were tears in her eyes. Clouds of loyalty and promises.
Years of suffering were erased only because she called you. How could this be possible? Her breath on your skin was enough. It was so easy to give in. You shared the same life. It was so easy to convince yourself of her good intentions.
"Rio..."
"Let's go home my love."
Death was indeed inevitable.

Can’t believe I forgot the one I actually did (or attempted to do)
Epistolary socmed / chatfic whatever but it’s updated in real time so your updates take place during the same day in-universe. I did mine for around 9 months. Requires a lot of upkeep and tremendous willpower so I highly suggest prewriting most of it. But it’s really fun because you and your readers get this “portal” to another world and it takes place at the same time— what happened three months ago to the characters also happened three months ago to the readers. You celebrate festivals and world events together. I did mine during 2020-21 as an no-Covid escapism AU and it mentioned Nov 5 Destiel and Suez Canal and Olivia Rodrigo as I was experiencing them. Kind of like a fake diary but with characters. You can also do stuff by creating a cliffhanger in which the story gets cut off at 11:59pm and you get a few hours before you post the update for the next day about what happened after 12:00am.
Unconventional format / mixed media / meta / epistolary fic ideas:
Script format but the characters slowly break fourth wall until they grow self aware and scream to leave but the script confines them.
Mock up notes of an author's fic outline only for a "fan favourite" / "author's darling" character to gain sentience and influence the story. The character changes the outline to suit their own agenda, and their changes are marked with a different colour whereas black text means it's the author's will. Maybe another character using another colour gains sentience. The different colours fight for dominance. Mom says it's my turn with the keyboard hey what the fuck man excuse me I'm literally trying to save my family can you guys let go and let me write your character arcs in peace OH FUCK OFF
Recipe fic. The story is told via those unnecessarily long backstories on a recipe blog in which you learn about someone's grandma or a breakup or literally anything. Bonus points if the actual recipe deals with worldbuilding (what ingredients are available? What utensils are used? How to serve this meal? Woohoo Dungeon Meshi) or in-cheek recipes (eg. "Recipe for making up with your estranged mother - Step 1: Mix patience, nostalgia, and filial piety and let it marinate for ten years. Step 2: Throw that shit into the trash because you're better than that")
Travel fic. A character is lost and trying to find their way somewhere. GPS directions, googling "x place to x place", tickets and dates, train station maps, leaflets. It gets weirder and weirder. You never get closer to your destination. You're walking around in circles. It's always 10 meters away. Where are you going and where have you been?
Receipts. Try to infer what a character is doing judging from the weird things they buy together. Also yipppee inflation tracker. On the other side, maybe it can be about a cashier/ shop owner getting to know their customers and what they order.
Written from the pov of an non-native English speaker, all the English words are italicized whereas their native tongue are the only words not italicized. Inspired by Kupu rere kē by Alice Te Punga Somerville. This is because I got salty about people from Ao3 Reddit saying they won't read a fic in all italics.
Murder mystery / "Among Us" style impersonation fic strictly using the chatfic format. Characters and readers will have to figure out which character has been killed and replaced from the way they text and use emojis. This is also because I got salty about Ao3 Reddit being a wee bit pretentious about emoji usage in fics. Maybe emojis can be important plot devices! Some people prefer to sign off messages with a heart emoji of their signature colour, so won't it be weird if they use another coloured heart? How about someone using lapslock suddenly using proper capitalisation and full stops? Can you tell if someone's phone has been stolen? What if someone's mother is pretending to text like their child? Why is someone suddenly only using UwU speak? Is it a bit, or have they been replaced?
Innocuous second person POV until the last line where it's suddenly revealed to be first person POV all along and the "I" has been stalking and narrating "you".
Other fun bits / Easter eggs / secrets to hide:
Decoding within the text itself. Maybe we get given instructions to find a word in x chapter on page y on the nth line. And when we as readers collect all the words, they form a sentence that spells out an important fact which the characters are oblivious to. Or maybe the in-universe characters find a book with the same title as the irl fic with a bookmark in it, and if you go to where the bookmark is stuck irl, you'll find the murderer plainly stated. The rest of the fic is about the readers having hard confirmation of who the murderer is while characters don't know.
A phrase is subtly repeated throughout the text of the fic and is spelled out with the letter that begins a sentence. It gives off the effect that the narrator is screaming and crying into the void (to the readers in the fourth wall) while trying to avoid detection. Bonus points if the same word is repeated for pages and pages to the point the lack of sentence variation feels weird and clunky.
Morse code!! I love morse code! Using onomatopoeia to convey the dots and dashes! The sound of rain pattering on the tin rooftop— drop, drop, drop. A low whistle of a train rumbling in the distance. He slowly sharpens his knife, creating a shiiing sound. A lengthy, high pitched squeal from his kettle. A dog barks. A sharp knock. His heart thumps. Dot dot dot, dash dash dash, dot dot dot. SOS. Maybe a character's death scene spells out the name of their mysterious murderer. Maybe a character is reminiscing their deceased loved one and the scene spells out what the deceased person would've wanted to tell them— "LIVE ON" or "I LOVE YOU" or something.
#the maintenance for it burned me out severely tho#but it was fun when i kept it short and manageable

the time actress!reader mentioned obx in her interview
𝜗𝜚 ࣪˖ ִ𐙚 ────୨ৎ──── while the obx cast were together in drew’s hotel room madelyn in her ever obsession of game of thrones brought up that you had mentioned how much you love obx in an interview. causing them to watch the interview together.
𝜗𝜚 pairing: actress!reader x drew starkey
author’s note: this takes place in 2023 during the filming of obx 4 and 3 weeks after the first time they watched the show together. at this point of my timeline the cast have watched the entire first season of game of thrones.
drew was scrolling through his phone, you had followed him back on instagram a week ago and he was on the moon. though he hadn’t messaged you yet. unsure on what to say to you. drew prided himself on being a confident man yet, your ability to make him nervous through a screen was unprecedented.
while stalking your profile for the umpteenth time he found himself wondering about you yet again. your limited amount of posts made you even more intriguing to him. he wondered what kind of person you are. what things made you tick, whether you would stare up at him with those siren eyes, whether you moaned or whimpered during sex, whether your face scrunched up and your mouth hung open as your chest heaved like it did in your sex scene that hasn’t left his brain since the moment he watched it.
just as he fell into a spiral of thoughts about you madelyn spoke up from her seat across the room, drawing the attention of everyone else, and drew was suddenly reminded that he wasn’t alone in his room. “oh my fucking god! i forgot to tell you guys!” she was staring down at her phone. but drew was having trouble focusing on her, still consumed in his thoughts of you.
the others, however, had no problem driving their attention to her, so drew remained in his bubble staring at the most recent post on your profile, a vogue magazine cover from three months ago, of you, seated, legs spread on the iron throne with the sword dark sister held in your hands standing between your legs, the crown of aegon the conquerer tilted on your head, the lace thigh high socks with garters disappearing under the skirt of your tight mini dress and the bold red coating your lips enticing him further.
it wasn’t till he heard your name slip from madelyn’s lips, was his attention torn from the captivating sight on his screen. “wait, what you just say?” madelyn smirked “of course, only when i say y/n’s name, do you listen.” drew blushed lightly. but didn’t make the move to defend himself, after all they would be right, he had been distracted from the moment he saw you in all your glory stealing the screen.
“what i was saying that y/n mentioned obx in an interview, just pass me the remote, i’ll show you.” drew’s heart rate spiked, the thought of you having seen him in his element, doing his job, made him self conscious in a way that he wasn’t ready to admit. once madelyn had the video loaded on the screen, drew was once again struck by how effortlessly beautiful you are. dressed in simple black pants and an off-shoulder cream long sleeve top, brown boots disappearing under your pants and simple gold hoop earrings, your brunette hair loose and following in natural waves. drew looked at your empty neck and thought how good you would look if there was a necklace with his initial hanging there, branding you as his.
madelyn skipped through the video until the moment you were talking. the interviewer asked you and your cast-mate what shows you watch during your down time when filming, your voice rang through the silent room and drew was struck once again by how attractive your accent sounded, your british accent deep and sultry but more casual than the tone you use when playing visenya. “oh, well mimi and i love outer banks a lot, to the point where we quote it on set quite often. i think we’ve annoyed everyone.” you laughed and drew thought about how he wanted to hear that sound for the rest of his life.
your cast mate and best friend, mimi who plays arianne martell laughed and agreed and the interviewer who was surprised by your answer said that obx was one of her favourite shows too. your face immediately brightened as you watched her intently as she spoke about the show. what drew would give to have you look at him like that.
madelyn paused the video and drew knew that once everyone had left his room he was going to watch the entire video. “that’s so cool!” jd gasped. “i know right? that’s so crazy that she’s seen our show.” madison replied. but drew couldn’t bring himself to speak, he wondered what you thought of him after watching his performance. he wondered if you had the same thoughts he had about you about him.
“i followed her when i first watched the show and she followed me back, but after seeing that clip a week ago i messaged her and we’ve been talking back and forth ever since, she’s so fucking cool, it’s insane. i think we’re friends now!” madelyn raved. “you’re friends with her?!.” drew was baffled, how was madelyn just bringing this up, she has known about his developing crush for weeks. “ah, now you want to chime in drew?” “yes, we’re friends and she’s gonna be in la when we get back so i told her she should come hang out with us, what you guys think?”
drew’s heart felt like it was going a mile a minute, he was gonna meet you. what the fuck.
thank you for all the love on the first part i’m so grateful. and for everyone who wants to be added to the tag list i’m figuring out how to do that so please be patient with me. also please send me asks about this au i would love to do like a drew starkey x actress!reader thoughts thing, but let me know what you thought of this part!

12 months and 365 days
Crowe x GN!Reader
context: memories of your first year spent in loneliness, and memories of your second year spent with crowe. (aka how you met crowe)
cw: a little self indulgent. mentions of bullying. self deprecating and social anxiety.
word count: 1673
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁༉‧₊˚.
It's your first day.
You're very nervous.
Of course, you finished high school before. But college was different.
And you didn't have anyone you knew here.
It's okay. You reassure yourself. You just gotta save up enough money to pay the debt, make a few friends and graduate. It's easy enough, right?
It's... your third day.
You haven't talked to anyone yet.
It's alright. It's only your third day.
You'll be fine.
Besides, there's this cool person you've been sneaking glances at lately. Hopefully you'll build up enough courage to talk to them!
Something gnaws at your nerves.
It's been two weeks.
Two weeks since you came to this city.
Two weeks spent alone at a table in a busy cafeteria. Two weeks of sitting in the corner of the classroom as if you don't exist.
It'll be fine. You can get by with no friends. You just have to pay the debt, and you'll be back home like nothing ever happened.
It's fine.
Three weeks.
You're paired up with someone for a group project.
They're nice. Really nice.
You found out you share a lot of common interests.
They ask to be friends. You accept.
You're really happy.
1 month.
Oh.
They've forgotten about you.
It's okay. You expected it so it didn't hurt much.
It seems they already had an existing friendgroup before you.
It's not your place to be upset. You were strangers after all.
It's okay. Just focus on your job. You'll be home soon.
Five months.
Why don't they ask you for a pen? You're right here.
You have complete school supplies. You always take notes in class.
The person in front of you asks your seatmate for a paper. They don't have one.
You did.
Why don't they ask you?
Why don't you talk to them?
You can't. Because you're too anxious. Scared.
Fear of getting judged.
It's frustrating.
College isn't so fun when you're doing it to save your only home. When you have no friends.
Seven months.
You've gotten used to it.
Sure, you can talk to your group mates just fine. Act friendly and all that stuff. But it never lasted long. Nothing ever did.
It's nothing too concerning now. You accepted the fact you were too much of a coward to just talk and reach out to someone. You're an outcast, and it'll stay that way forever.
Even if your inner self begged to be able to rant about your interests, your hobbies, your troubles.
Two more years of this hell.
Before you knew it, you're in your second year.
First day.
Nothing unusual. You're still alone.
It's boring.
Four more hours till you go home.
Second day.
There's this guy who introduced himself to you.
He seems friendly.
He told you his name, but you forgot. Oh well, it's not important.
Not like you two will be close anyway.
One week.
He keeps talking to you.
You learned his name now. Crowe.
You weren't exactly a jerk either, and it was rude to show your obvious disinterest in someone, so you tried your best to put on a smile as you listened to him.
It's awkward. He's aware of the tension in the air.
You feel bad, but it's okay. Give it a week and he'll move on.
Three weeks.
He. Won't. Leave. You. Alone.
What's wrong with this guy? He keeps acting all buddy with you.
You don't know him. He doesn't know you.
It annoys you how he acts like he does. How friendly he is with you.
You're sure he has some sort of ulterior motive.
Ah, whatever. It's not good to assume. At least you have someone sitting with you at lunch. Even if you're a little irritated.
Four weeks.
You volunteered to be a helper at the school gardens. It's good. Extra credits and a place for you to hang out. Alone.
Now you no longer have to be in the cafeteria.
Five weeks.
He found out about the garden. Keeps pestering you about it.
"Can I join? Can I help? I wanna see! Let's eat lunch there together!" He says.
It's.. so annoying. But you felt bad for him, so you accepted. Grudgingly.
Now you have someone pestering you in your comfort spot. Great.
He tells you he didn't expect you to be interested in gardening. You told him you lived on a farm. He's curious, but you refuse to tell more.
It'll be a waste of time if he'll forget about you in the end anyways.
Two months.
He's still there. He's weirdly persistent on being your friend.
You're starting to doubt yourself now. Had you judged him too much?
Still, it's hard to act friendly now when you've spent an entire year being ignored by everyone on the campus despite your attempts to communicate.
He doesn't seem to mind. You feel weird.
For once, you allow yourself to soften a little around him.
Three months.
It's been a terrible week. Burnout has caught up to you. You're in an incredibly tight budget and you're nowhere near halfway to your debt.
Is there really hope for you? Your father?
Right. You're doing this for dad. The farm.
You can't give up now that you've come so far, yet...
The frustration and stress is too much. He noticed this, of course. He's always so observant when it came to you. Noticing all the little changes and details that nobody else did. Not that anyone else paid much mind to you in the first place.
Still. It's weird. It makes you feel overwhelmed and a little overstimulated.
And it's because of the stress, you think. It's the stress and anxiety that you've been bottling up for years— and ended up lashing out on him.
He's hurt. You know it. You feel incredibly guilty.
You fucked up, didn't you? You always did. Now you lost the only person who actually liked you.
It's all your fault.
Three months and two weeks.
You haven't talked to him since then, despite his attempts to reach you.
You're the first to leave when the bell rings. You lock yourself up in the garden when it's lunchbreak. You dash out the school gates when it's time to go home.
You've seen the way he looks at you. Worry and pain plastered all over his face. It makes your stomach twist. You're guilty. You're aware of how much of a jerk you're being.
But you have no choice. After all, you were born to be lonely.
I'm sorry, Crowe.
Six months.
It's been so long. You're sure he's forgotten about you. Like you expected. It hurts, yet you ignore the pain.
One day, however, you're cornered.
You've always been an outcast. One that's genuinely forgotten by everyone.
Unlucky as you were, you never had to experience bullies in your life.
And now..
One of them pushes your bruised body to the ground. You shake. They laugh at you. Fuck people and their greed for superiority.
You hate it. Hate this. Hate yourself. Why can't you just get up and fight back? Are you really going to let them step over you like this when you're already miserable enough?
C'mon. Get up. Stand up!
Someone yells from a distance. That voice, all too familiar. One that makes your heart drop.
"Crowe?"
It all becomes a blur. You're on the ground, frozen in fear as you watched Crowe take the hits for you. Defending you as if you've known each other for years.
Why? Why would he do this? You don't understand. You don't understand him.
It's so damn annoying.
Slowly, you stand up. There's a rock nearby. You grab it.
And throw it against the bastard's head as hard as you can.
He passes out. His other goons turn around to face you with a murderous glare, and you tremble as they approach.
"One more step and I'll scream so loud everyone will think you're a serial killer." It's a stupid threat. You have no guarantee it'll work.
To your luck, it does. They turn away with a 'tsk' as they pick their friend up. It seems they don't want to cause any more trouble than they already did. Hypocrites.
You immediately turn to face Crowe with a harsh glare, striding towards him despite the pain in your body.
You grab him by the collar, bringing him close to your face as you yelled, confusion and pain evident in your voice. Desperation. "Are you stupid? Why the hell did you do that?! There's literally no reason for you to defend me, so why?!" You shake him back and forth. You shouldn't be doing this. Shouldn't be angry at him when he helped you.
You're just.. so damn lost.
He doesn't mind the way you take your anger out on him when he should. He should be annoyed with you. He should be as mad as you for getting angry when he's the one who helped you.
Instead, he laughs. He fucking laughs.
"Because you're my friend!" He grins stupidly, and you have half a mind to punch him the way those bullies did.
You don't. Instead, you let him go as you felt warmth rush to your cheeks and all over your body. Till your heart aches and leaves a stinging pain in your chest. Till the tips of your fingers tingle and leave your palms sweaty. Till your knees feel weak and you sit down on the ground with your head held in your hands.
"You're.. so annoying, you know that? You're fucking insane." Your voice was shaky. Yet you couldn't help the smile that crept up to your lips.
He stayed. He didn't forget about you.
You have a friend. His name is Jericho Ichabod.
Three years — present.
You're in the greenhouse. Brittney and the others are somewhere in the garden, doing their own thing. You're glad they're enjoying this little space of yours.
Crowe's saying something about flowers. You don't listen much, simply staring at him as you nod and smile.
You have a crush. His name is Jericho Ichabod.
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁༉‧₊˚.

Oh does Locket got by they/them. Sorry for using he in the last one.
Did they heard stories about their parents during the war. All of deadlock’s “accomplishments” aka brutal kill counts, and Ratchet’s accomplishments?
What were their reactions. They went the medic route in life was it cause of their paternal link with ratchet, a ‘I wanna be like carrier’ thing or a ‘I want to be as different from my sire as possible’ thing.
They ever miss their parents during the separation and their own doctor travels.
Oh yeah they go by they/them I totally forgot to post the original design of them I drew
Pretty much I wanted them to be a medic with the worlds worst bedside manner, like a weird little pessimistic doctor.
They were born with medic hands (despite the claws) so it was a given they just did it while being shown how by Ratchet. They also have perfect aim (who knows where they learned that??) I don’t think they actively try to be like either but ended up being a mix of both, working as a medic not out caring for people but literally just for the shanix and travel.
As far as reputation it was probably a bit of whiplash to hear about either of them. Especially while the war continued. Learning bases where the Autobot CMO would be (they actively avoided) or small planetoids held up by Turmoil and his second in compand, despite both sides needing more medics they avoided any chance of running into either of them.
Every few months they would find a large amount of shanix/credits left in their shuttle/current resident. So safe to say DL kept an eye on them.
They did miss them but so many years it kind of faded. They were 100% convinced they would never see either of them again so they became a loner neutral.

"Does something feel off to you today?"
"Hm? No. Not particularly. Why do you ask?"
It was a bit more nippy out today than usual. Really feeling that Christmas snow getting ready to come in. It had been at least almost three weeks since your aunt had gone on her trip to the wedding and came back. You had picked her up at the airport despite her insistence on getting a taxi back home, and on the long drive home had asked her about it.
"How was your trip?," you asked her with a smile as you began to pull out of your parking spot. "Did the ride back go well?"
"Honey, I think I'm gonna have to take a bus next time." She groaned stretching out her back. "Didn't know you could get jet leg from a plane."
"How was the wedding?"
"Pretty generic as far as weddings go. Wedding cake this. Walk down the aisle that. Though I might get some future business if I'm lucky."
"...Did you do as I asked?"
"Sweetheart." She smiled at you in a smirking knowing way. "Someone's gonna love you.~"
You gave her a weird confused look. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh, just wait and see.~"
"That still doesn't answer my question."
It still didn't. And your aunt wouldn't give you a straight answer. So you took it as a maybe it'll work or maybe it won't. You'll have to wait and see if anything did change. However days went on. November was passing by slowly and coldly. Soon enough it would be December and the time to start decorating for Christmas. Still no word from Kyojuro...then again you really hadn't seen or heard from him since he picked up Koto for Sanemi from the daycare. You didn't ask Mei or anyone else figuring it'd be rude to ask about someone else's business, and let it be.
However you couldn't shake the feeling that something seemed... different about today. You couldn't figure out why for the life of you even as you both were helping to pick up toys strewn about the place and disinfectant all the surfaces sticky little hands would touch but he had looked up hearing you ask him a question.
You shrugged spraying a toy stuffed bunny with disinfectant spray. "Oh I don't know. It just feels like something is off today is all."
"Did you leave anything on before you left the house?"
"No "
"Did you leave your house unlocked?"
"No."
"Perhaps you forgot to pick up something?"
"No. I paid my bills this month and I went grocery shopping yesterday. I got everything I needed."
"Perhaps your classes?"
"I've been keeping up with both classes." The bunny was tossed into the toy box nearby and you moved on towards something else to clean. "I don't know what it is, but I just feel that something's off somehow."
He hummed again. "Whatever it is it's probably not too important if you aren't worried about it. I'm sure whatever it is will sort itself out soon enough."
"You're probably right. I'm just a bit stressed out with all the work I guess."
He was right. Whatever it was probably wouldn't be very important if you couldn't remember what it was or figure out what it is. It'll be forgotten about in no time at all. Which is why you put it mostly out of your mind. It was still in the back of your mind but mostly forgotten about in favor of finishing clean up with Gyomei and leaving to go do that day's part of the project with Giyuu and Shinobu. Giyuu had mentioned repeatedly wanting to go by his sister's restaurant again to try out the new home made breaded fish cutlets she was trying out. Sounded good to you but you weren't expecting to see some familiar faces in the park as you waited for a walk about.
It was just business as usual. You met up with the stoic couple. Gyomei opted for waiting again as he did want to make a call, something about a package mix up at the post office. And off you three went. Around one time, and then partially around the second time when you saw a familiar face..
Or rather a familiar face saw you.
"Y/N!!!"
You nearly jumped out of your skin at the loud voice behind you. You turned- "AH!?" And was quickly scooped up by Giyuu who's face did not change when a pink and green blur whizzed past you both.
Mitsuri had skidded to a stop both arms thrown out still in mid tackle huh before those shiny green eyes blinked, and turned behind her. She let out a happy gasp again before squealing and running towards you both that seemed almost inhuman. This time Giyuu didn't move fast enough and both of you made surprised sounds when he was swept off his feet... Literally.
You blinked as you were sat there in Giyuu's lap with his arms securely wrapped around you, while he blinked as he in turn was held up bridal style by a very affectionate Mitsuri. ....Just how strong WAS this petite lady?!
"It's you! It's you! It's you!," she squealed happily hopping about. "And Giyuu and Shinobu!~" She sang out before quickly gasping again in a hopeful beam. "Are you three going out?"
....You blinked as you tried to comprehend the situation. "Um...Were out here doing our project."
"Which we need to finish." Shinobu tapped the phone still recording like it was obvious.
Mitsuri gasped again. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!"
Slowly Giyuu was placed back down to his feet and you still processing what was going on just asked, "What are you doing here?"
I'm on a date with Tengen and Kyo!" With a turn and a full arm wave, she happily waved down two other people slowly walking up to you all. Tengen with an arm affectionately lazily resting around Kyojuro's shoulders.
"GREETINGS!!" "How you doing?" They each greeted you both.
"We were on our way to this new restaurant that just opened up with these huge kabobs I wanted!...*sigh* But they were closed."
Shinobu smiled. "What a coincidence. We were just going to eat ourselves. Why not join us?"
She squealed again. "Really?! That's a great idea! We can all make it a triple date!"
"As soon as Giyuu puts Y/n down."
Said blue eyed man blinked before looking down at your form, suddenly realizing that you were still held, turned a bright pink, and then quickly put you down on your own feet muttering rapid fire apologies. Things sure went on a surprising twist that rest of the day. What turned into your plan on just joining a few friends for dinner and then going home turned into a triple surprise dinner date you were dragged into thanks to Shinobu. You didn't mind of course when you were finally able to process everything but you did feel slightly guilty about springing it on Gyomei whom was just as surprised when the extra footsteps and voices reached his ears."
And the familiar bone crushing hug of Mitsuri wrapped around his middle. For a brief moment you wondered if she was strong enough to lift him up too or if Gyomei's unusual size and weight prevented her from doing so. You might never know because she didn't try to lift him up.
"It's quite a surprise to see you all here-," he said with a curious tilt of his head, "-but weren't you three going to that barbeque place you wanted to go to?"
"We were! But they're closed and we ran into you guys!" Mitsuri beamed throwing around her arms in excitement as she babbled. "We can all go together and make a date outta it! What do you say?!"
"Oh? That's a good idea but it would depend on what Y/n feels like doing."
"I don't mind." He turned his head to you. "It might be fun to hang out together."
That's how you found yourself walking all the way to the delicious smelling restaurant so familiar with you by now and shivering from the warmth cascading over your body from the inside. Tsutako was happy to see her brother and all him friends, happily greeting you all and gesturing to a large table to seat everyone.
Perhaps it was a strange coincidence that you were sat right across from Kyojuro as the beaming man laughed loudly at some joke Tengen made that was loud enough to gain the attention of a few other tables in the small restaurant. A few orders later and you seven were left waiting and listening to Tengen telling the tale of the time he flashily narrowly escaped the clutches of a rabid wolf on a hiking trip and was only able to barely escape from it using his survival skills he learnt from his days as a boy scout-
"Wait. Are you talking about the time you jumped into a tree because a lady's rottweiler scared you at the park?," Giyuu asked bluntly silencing the taller man.
Tengen had frozen mix smile before he scowled hard at him. "NO!!"
"Yeah..I remember now. This big rottweiler ran up to you and you jumped into the oak tree. That dog was just a big puppy-"
"S-SHUT UP!!" Tengen's face burnt a bright red only made worse by Mitsuri's high pitched giggles and Kyojuro's loud booming laughs.
"I remember that! I wanted to get one but the thought of Tengen climbing the furniture out of fear stopped me!"
"JUST DROP IT ALREADY!!"
You giggled at the hilarious reaction to everyone around the table leaving poor Tengen to pour red faced at everyone's expense. To be fair the thought of a huge man like Tengen jumping into a tree to escape a friendly dog was amusing. It'd be if Gyomei ran away from a tiny kitten or Shinobu swatting at a butterfly. The constant giggling only got Tengen to pour more however, mumbling something under his breath and looking away despite the sympathetic part on the shoulder Kyojuro gave him.
However said firey man then surprised all of you by his next announcement. "How about a change of topic?" No one protested mostly because he spoke again before anyone could say anything else. "I wanted to wait until everyone else was present but they'll be told sooner or later anyways. I have incredible news!" His smile suddenly became as big as his plate. "My father has gotten a job!"
A small moment of silence was broken by Shinobu. "Of course he does. The dojo."
Red hair swayed as he shook his head. "No!..I mean YES!! Yes but no!"
"I'm confused."
"The strangest thing happened earlier this month!," he explained. Your attention immediately went from your cup of tea to the man right across from you, pausing mid sip. "He received a call from the Kimetsu Academy Chairman himself! He wants to hire Father as their new P.E. coach for the kendo team!"
"Eh. Ain't that the prestigious school your mom works at or something?"
"INDEED!!," He beamed proudly crossing his arms. "They only hire the best, so choosing my father proves just how good he really is! I'm very happy for him!"
"And you're just telling us this now?"
"He didn't want anyone to know until he had time to make up his mind on the matter. Now that he had, he'll be starting next semester!"
"That's wonderful news," Gyomei finally spoke with a smile. "I suppose Senjuro's desire to establish a new club has taken off in ways that even we didn't expect."
Kyojuro hummed tilting his head. "You know that's the strangest part of it." Gyomei hummed back in question. "The Chairman didn't find out about my father's business through Senjuro despite him presenting the idea of a kendo club to him."
"Then your mother was very kind to convince the school of his talents."
"It wasn't her either. In fact she was as confused as he was when the Chairman wished to speak with him. It's incredibly hard to believe but somehow the Chairman was given one of Father's business cards." He made his hand into a semi rectangular shape as if demonstrating actually holding one.
"Well you did make them to be passed out. One of them must've been passed to him through a parent."
You calmly say back in your chair and sipped your tea to avoid any unwanted attention. You had a feeling of what happened but you weren't entirely too sure.
"That's the strangest thing. Senjuro wasn't able to pass them out at school yet. We had lots made but a good chunk of them went missing not too long ago. Instead he had gotten the card at some social event from a lady called...." He hummed red eyes looking up as he tried to recall the name. "Daki. Dakota. Dakita? Something along those lines."
Gyomei slowly lowered his drink and tilted his head at Kyojuro as if something fell into place.
"Wow. It's like a super early Christmas miracle!," Mitsuri gushed, "*gasp* Maybe it was an angel! Sent to answer your prayers!"
"Yeah..I doubt that, Mitzi."
"Did you say 'Dakita'?," Gyomei's voice spoke slowly making you suddenly freeze right next to his larger form.
Kyojuro nodded. "Something like that I believe. I can't be for certain as it's second hand knowledge."
.....Gyomei suddenly turned to you making you freeze up even more under his raised. "Don't you have an Aunt Dakita?"
You swore it was like a domino effect of everyone turning their heads turning to you. Nervously you gulped under the intense feeling before smiling nervously to laugh it off. "I do. She's a really good matchmaker."
"Hm. That must mean she has a lot of networking to do. Did you not take a card from Rengoku during the party?"
You gave him a look. Was he TRYING to throw you under the bus or something?!
"Your aunt is responsible for the Chairman's call?"
Kyojuro's sudden intense look, eyebrows raised in surprise, had you pausing as a feeling of awkward silence come over the table. You felt like you were suddenly in an interrogation room being stared down at by seven pairs of eyes...Well six pairs of eyes and one pair of ears in Gyomei's case. Either way it was an awkward intimidating moment.
You shrugged. "I-I mean..I did give her a few cards Senjuro was passing out." Wasn't a lie. Senjuro was passing them out but specifically you gave her the ones he didn't get to get. Your f/c looked everywhere but the intense gaze of the man in front of you. "She does a lot of n-networking with clients and you guys seemed like you needed a hand so, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try and help a little bit..."
You trailed off fiddling with the tablecloth under her hands as the silence resumed. Nothing but the clinking and murmuring of the few other tables being occupied by other people in the restaurant with your group. For a moment no one said a single word until something you didn't expect broke the silence.
"AHAHAHAHAHA!!"
You jumped, looking up and blinking at Kyojuro who had thrown his head back and was.. laughing. Loud, happy, and not what you expected to hear. He kept laughing and laughing. His smile contagious to everyone else at the table as they also smiled at him. Eventually his smile was directed back to your confused face.
"Mitsuri should've dressed you up as an angel for the party instead of a queen!," his delightful voice spoke out.
You blinked. "...What?"
"Gyomei couldn't have picked a nicer woman to join us! Now I can see why everyone likes you so much!"
Gyomei gave him a look that seemed both a mix of surprise and confusion raising a brow at Kyojuro. However you could only blink again.
"Wait. You're not mad?"
"Absolutely not! Why would I be angry with someone who's been the one who put the ball into motion for my family to get better?"
"Well-" You made a motion with your hand. "-it wasn't really me. My aunt did the real work of getting the right connection."
"Hm. That's true! I'll have to thank her if I ever get the pleasure of meeting this wonderful lady!," he announced loudly.
Oh gods no. The chaos from that would be so embarrassing to say the least. Just the thought of the two chaotic forces meeting had you filled with dread.
"I'll pass along the message for you." Without thinking too much about it you just reached out to pat Kyojuro's hand making him blink in surprise while waving him off with your other hand. "I'm genuinely happy to know that I was able to help your family." He blinked as you smiled at him brightly and genuinely. "I'm very proud of your dad getting a good job! He deserves it definitely!"
For a moment Kyojuro didn't speak when you pulled your hand away and turned your attention to the drink you hadn't finished yet. Thankfully no one got a chance to say anything else about the situation because Tsutako came back out with some of your food. Kyojuro however slowly closed his hand where you had gripped it. A pleasant feeling running up his arm and tickling his face a pink as a large beaming smile at you.
"So, Tengen. Have you painted anything new lately?," you asked shifting the topic back onto someone else.
Said white haired man perked up at the question. "Well since you asked, I've been working on this absolutely beautiful landscape of the nearby mountains."
With the attention thankfully off you now, you could relax and eat the daikon in front of you to fill the emptiness in your stomach and hopefully you would be able to get through the rest of this month normally...
No such luck.
Not even a few days later and you were back on schedule again working at the daycare, attending classes, and the usual. So when you were checking out children one Tuesday afternoon, you were surprised when you saw a familiar face walk in again. No not Sanemi.
Kyojuro.
He walked right in smile beaming with happiness. You were both surprised and confused to see him there but have him a smile as the usual greeting you normally gave.
"Hi, Kyojuro. What a surprise! Are you here to get Koto for Sanemi again? I don't remember him telling me about it."
He shook his head long hair swaying. "NO! I actually swung by to see you!"
You blinked. "Me?"
"INDEED! I've regaled your genuine selflessness to my family and they'd like to personally invite you and your Aunt to dinner so they can personally express their gratitude!"
You stared. "..What?"
"Furthermore I'd love to have you come join us more often for outings since I don't quite think we're acquainted enough yet! In fact the girls are going out this Saturday! You should come along!"
"....What?"

Obliviate
mary macdonald microfic - canon compliant
(quoted choices by messermoon for dumbledore's first line)
The first time she thought about it was when Marlene died.
It had been months since she had used magic and years since she had stepped foot into Diagon Alley. Actually, after Hogwarts ended, the only time she had seen a wizard or a witch who wasn't one of her friends was in St Mungo's, when Lily had given birth to Harry.
The problem is, once you think about something, there is no unthinking it. The more she tried to get that idea out of her head, the more she thought about it. And as things got worse, that little voice in the back of her mind became more and more oppressive.
"What if you just forgot about it all ?"
Forget about the bullying in school, the glares, the insults, the double standards, the spells behind her back. The death eaters who had already killed so many of her friends. The attacks on Muggles she felt were directed against her. Knowing who had done it, knowing why, and having to hear the explanations the muggle news gave. Knowing the truth.
Knowing became too much. And she understood why they all wanted to fight -- James Potter wouldn't be James Potter if he wasn't risking his life to make the world a better place -- but she just. Didn't have anything to fight for. The wizarding world didn't mean as much to her as it did to them, and she didn't see why she would fight for a place where she was so unwelcome.
So she thought about it. Forgetting everything. But there was too much to forget. And Lily was still here, Sirius was still here, and they needed her. She couldn't be that selfish and let them down.
So, she only thought about it. As something to calm herself in the middle of the night, the kind of horrible thought that weirdly brings you comfort, thinking "if everything goes to shit, I'll just forget about it."
She just never imagined it would get that bad.
Because after Marlene died, Dorcas went a bit crazy. And then she died. And then Lily disappeared. When Harry was 6 months old, her and James went MIA. Sirius wouldn't tell her anything, they mostly talked about Remus, and the more they did, the more Mary wondered how they would ever come back from that. But she never wondered if they would come back from that. I mean, they were Sirius and Remus, for goodness' sake.
And then.
And then.
And then Lily died. And James. And Sirius had betrayed them. And he had killed Peter. And the world fell apart.
She's in Dumbledore's office with Petunia Dursley, ready to leave, when Dumbledore says :
“You will leave Harry Potter where he is. You will not speak to him, you will not write to him, you will have no contact with him at all.”
She feels like she's in a dream. She's outside of her own body, watching herself in that office, with that man. Right now, she doesn't see a war hero, or a rebel, or a headmaster : she sees the reason why so many of her friends are dead. No, not "so many" : all of them. Because the two who are left might as well be.
"He can't..." Her voice sounds weird, like she's hearing it on tape. Like it's someone else speaking. It's completely void of emotion, as well. It catches her off guard. But maybe she doesn't have anything left to feel. "He can't know I exist ?"
The old man smiles, all trace of coldness gone. "I'm glad we understand each other."
"Then I want you to obliviate me".
The voice in her head isn't a voice in her head anymore. It's not an intruder telling her "you could forget about it" ; it's her thinking "I'm going to forget everything". It's her saying it out loud.
"I beg your pardon ?"
"You heard me. You want me to leave Harry alone ? That's the thing I ask in return." Her voice is mechanic, daring, like her emotions are turned off. Usually, that's not a good thing, because it's even more of a mess when you turn them back on. Hopefully, this time, she won't have to go through that.
"I don't understand. What are you asking ?"
God, she had forgotten Petunia was here.
"Obliviate. It's a spell that erases your memory." She doesn't bother waiting for Petunia's reaction, turning her attention back to Dumbledore. "You said I'm reluctant to being involved, right ? Well, this is me not getting involved. With any of it, actually. I don't want to remember the war, I don't want to remember how it ended, or why it started, I don't... I don't even want to remember your stupid school. I want to forget that magic exists."
A surprised gasp comes out of Petunia's mouth, and then the mask is back on, and she looks full of disdain once again. "I understand that. I always told Lily it was better to be normal than a freak."
Mary wants to tell her she's wrong. She wants to tell her that magic can be beautiful. But right now she doesn't remember why. Magic is beautiful when it's someone's magic, and everyone magical Mary loved is dead.
For Lily's sake, for all the times Mary held her while she cried missing her sister, she wants to tell Petunia she's wrong. That she loves being a witch. But she's so tired. And right now, she really doesn't.
She wishes she had someone on her side, to argue with Petunia so she doesn't have to. To jump into the fight for her.
But isn't that what they did ? Jump into the fight for people like you ? And where did that get them ?
Absolutely fucking nowhere.
"How far back are we talking about ?" Dumbledore's voice snaps her back into reality. He's looking at her with piercing blue eyes. God how she hates him. But she's also relieved, like this man is finally gonna take away some of the pain he caused her.
"Everything. Just erase everything from when I was eleven years old."
"I would not recommend that. You would wake up with ten years of your life missing, and you would start asking questions. Trying to fill the gaps."
"Can't you..." She sighs. She's so fucking tired. And more than anything, she wants to go to sleep. Physically and metaphorically.
"Can't you leave some stuff then ? So I don't wonder and get nosy about my own life ?"
"One simple way to do that would be for you to extract your memories from your brain. That way we could choose which ones..."
"For you to have them ?" She cuts him sharply. "And keep them in little bottles and look through them whenever you like ?" She scoffs "That's not bloody likely. Aren't you supposed to be a good wizard ? Like, really talented ? Can't you manage to... I don't know, make your obliviate a little selective ?"
"I could leave some memories of school, the ones that don't imply magic, but it would be very blurry. You wouldn't have much. And I can't let you keep any memories that date from after school. That would leave too many blanks you would want to fill."
She sighs. Closes her eyes. Lets that sink in.
He's going to do it. He's actually going to do it. This is it. This is where her pain stops.
What a bastard though, she thinks with a chuckle. She opens her eyes.
"It's fine. Just... Imply that we fell out of touch after school. I have a lot of memories that don't include them. I'll be fine."
"Very well. Mrs Dursley, if you would like to step back."
And suddenly, she sees everything. Like she's going to die and her whole life flashes before her eyes. All her magical life, anyways. It's like her brain knows what to focus on, in a last desperate attempt to keep it.
She's going to forget Lily's wedding. She's going to forget Harry. She's going to forget Sirius' and Remus' flat. She's going to forget Marlene's 19th birthday party. She's going to forget the trip they all made to France.
She's going to forget about Quidditch. James flying on his broom, Marlene and Sirius throwing bludgers at each other, Lily cheering them on, Remus reading in the stands, Peter with a red and gold scarf and pink cheeks.
She's going to forget how it feels to fly.
She's going to forget about potions. Lily giggling when they made Amortentia. Marlene mortified when hers smelled like Dorcas, Sirius and Remus thinking theirs didn't work because they were brewing it together.
The classes. The spells. Peter's magical chessboard, the owls, running in the Forbidden Forest, enchanting objects so they would dance, getting back at the boys and pranking them, getting drunk with Firewhiskey in the Leaky Cauldron, ...
She's going to forget Hogsmeade.
Trying to do magical make up. Sirius' magical moon phase tattoo. The first time she saw a unicorn. James' elf Minnie. The magical fireworks on New Year's Eve.
She's going to forget how it feels to cast a Patronus.
All there, in a second, she sees Lily smiling and Marls dancing and Remus...
"Obliviate"
When she comes home from university, she finds pictures of her school friends on the floor. She doesn't remember taking them out of the boxes, but she's feeling a bit light headed and really, really tired, so that must be it.
She picks up a picture of her and the girls. God, she hasn't seen them in ages. She smiles. She wonders what they're up to now. Mentally tells herself off for not having made the effort to stay in touch. It wouldn't make much sense to seek them out now, four years later.
Isn't it crazy, how you can spend your entire time with people, live with them, and then... They all went to different universities and fell out of touch, or at least that's what she assumes because right now she can't remember discussing their future, or what Lily wanted to study.
Oh well. She's ready to bet one day she'll turn on the sports channel and see Marls on TV, though she can't remember which sport it was she was really into. Or she'll stumble across a book written by Remus at the library, though she thinks she would remember if he had gone on to study Literature just like she did ?
"I really need to sleep" she mumbles to herself.
She picks up the photos, puts them back in their box, and goes to bed.

The birthday party
(Matty Healy + teen!daughter!r)
warnings: angst (we’re back!), shitty dad Matty for a min, uncle George yay, yelling, just sad, reader is turning 13
a/n: what other title did you think I would choose bffr
You had been talking about it for months. There was no way he could forget. Right? He’s your dad. The only parent you’ve ever had. It’s always been just the two of you, side by side through everything. He knows you better than anyone else in the world. So why was this nagging doubt creeping into your mind this morning?
He always made it a big deal. A special breakfast, a couple of thoughtful presents to kick off the day—but this time, there was nothing. No sounds of sizzling bacon, no smell of pancakes. Just silence. You searched every corner of the house—his bedroom, the bathroom, the kitchen, even the backyard and guest room—but he was nowhere to be found. It wasn’t until you glanced outside that you noticed his car was missing. A knot tightened in your stomach as you reached for your phone and sent him a text, hoping for an explanation that would ease the growing sense of disappointment.
y/n | where r u???
dad | studio. y?
At first, you convinced yourself he was playing one of his usual tricks. It was exactly the kind of thing your dad would do. Let you sweat a little, only to jump out from somewhere unexpected with a goofy grin and a surprise waiting behind his back. You smiled at the thought, almost hearing his laughter in your head. That had to be it. It was all part of some elaborate birthday prank.
You didn’t reply to his text at first. The message sat unread on your phone, the screen dimming after a few seconds, like it wasn’t important. You brushed it off, continued getting ready, telling yourself this was just part of the game. The anticipation kept you going—maybe he’d burst through the door any minute with balloons and confetti, trying to catch you off guard. You could already picture his laugh, the way he’d raise his eyebrows like, ‘Gotcha!’
But with each passing minute, doubt began to creep in. You found yourself staring at the phone longer than you'd like to admit, uncertain how to respond. A part of you wanted to play along, to convince yourself it was all just a joke. But there was another, quieter part of you—a part that you didn’t want to acknowledge—that began to whisper the truth you were trying to ignore.
There was no prank, no surprise waiting for you. The sinking feeling in your stomach told you what you didn’t want to admit. He forgot your birthday. And no matter how much you tried to pretend otherwise, that truth weighed heavier with each moment of silence.
…
School had always been your escape, a place where you could drown out everything else by burying yourself in classwork and conversation. Today was no different. You told yourself if you kept busy enough, the hurt gnawing at you would fade into the background. It almost worked, until your friends surprised you at lunch.
They gathered around with smiles, handing you a cupcake, complete with a crooked candle, and a small gift they’d all chipped in on. You forced a smile, doing your best to swallow the lump in your throat. You weren’t about to ruin the moment for them. But your best friend wasn’t fooled for a second.
“So… you gonna tell me what’s really going on?” she asked, snapping you out of your daze.
You looked up quickly, startled. “What? What do you mean?” you replied, plastering on a grin. But it was thin, stretched too tight, and you knew she could see right through it.
She raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. “You walked into school looking like you just got hit by a car. You’ve been staring at your phone every five seconds, and I can tell you’re about two seconds away from crying. So, what’s up?”
The act fell apart. You swallowed hard and stared down at the half-eaten cupcake, your voice barely above a whisper. “He forgot my birthday.”
She tilted her head, confused for a moment. “Who did?”
You met her eyes, feeling a wave of shame and frustration crash over you. “My dad. He… he forgot my birthday.”
Her face fell. The disbelief in her eyes was instant, but not entirely surprising. “What?! No way,” she blurted, shaking her head.
You shifted uncomfortably in your seat, the desire to move on from the topic growing stronger by the second. “It’s fine. It’s not that big of a deal—”
“It’s a huge deal, Y/n! He’s your dad!” She almost shouted, her voice filled with a mix of outrage and disbelief.
You mumbled, but the bitterness in your voice was unmistakable. “Yeah, well… he hasn’t really been acting like one lately.”
Her face softened instantly, guilt flashing in her eyes for snapping at you. She leaned in, her tone gentler now. “Talk to me. What’s going on?”
You sighed, rubbing the back of your neck, trying to figure out the words. “I dunno, maybe he’s just busy or dealing with his own stuff. It’s not a big deal—”
“But?” she pushed, refusing to let you brush it aside.
You hesitated before continuing. “It’s like he’s… here, but he’s not here, you know? He’s around, but we don’t talk anymore. We don’t even see each other, really. It’s like he’s some random roommate I found online. I only see him when we happen to cross paths, maybe at dinner or when I’m heading out, but even then, it’s like I’m invisible. He doesn’t even acknowledge me.”
Your friend’s face fell, and she reached out, resting her hand on yours. “That’s not right, love. You know that, don’t you?” Her voice was quiet but firm. “Maybe you should talk to him. Tell him how you’re feeling.”
You sighed heavily, feeling the weight of her suggestion. “Yeah, maybe,” you muttered, but deep down, you wondered if he’d even listen.
…
Adam found Matty slouched in a corner, next to the coffee machine and a spread of half-eaten snacks, aimlessly scrolling through his phone. The exhaustion was evident in the dark circles under his eyes. Honestly, all he wanted to do was be home, sitting on the couch with you, watching some mindless TV, shutting the world out for a few hours. But there was still work to be done. The faster he finished this album and sent it off, the sooner he could finally focus on what mattered most—you.
“I’m surprised you’re even here,” Adam said, breaking the silence as he poured himself a cup of coffee.
Matty didn’t bother looking up from his phone. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
Adam gave him a sideways glance. “I just figured you’d be with Y/n.”
Matty frowned. “Why?”
Adam shifted, uneasy, and took a sip of coffee. “Well, you know... thirteen is kind of a big deal.”
Thirteen. The number didn’t seem to register for Matty right away. Adam watched as the realization crept over Matty’s face like a slow, chilling wave.
“What do you—” Matty’s voice faltered, and then he froze. He stared blankly at Adam, piecing it together. The sinking dread filled the room. Adam could tell from the way Matty’s expression darkened that he had forgotten.
“Don’t tell me...” Adam muttered, but it was too late.
Matty bolted upright, shoving his phone into his pocket and grabbing his bag without a word. The room seemed to spin around him as he stormed out, not bothering to explain himself to the others. He needed to get to you. Now.
As he sped through the streets, his mind raced. How could he have forgotten? You, his world, his everything. The one person who had completely shifted the course of his life thirteen years ago, making him into something more than just himself. He had thought about stopping somewhere—buying a cake, maybe some balloons—but the clock was ticking, and every second felt like another failure. He couldn’t waste any more time.
Guilt tightened in his chest with every mile he drove. You deserved more than a last-minute apology and a quick fix. You deserved his time, his presence, his love—especially on a day that should have been about you.
But now he was on his way, and he didn’t know how to make it up to you. He just hoped he wasn’t too late.
……….
You were curled up on the couch, sinking deeper into the cushions, letting the sweetness of the cupcakes numb the ache inside. Your friend had baked them for you—her attempt to make the day a little less unbearable—and you didn’t care about the calories or the mess you were making as frosting smeared across your fingers. It was a brief distraction from the disappointment gnawing at your chest.
Then you heard it—the keys jingling in the lock, the door creaking open. Your heart tightened. Without a second thought, you reached for the remote and turned off the TV.
“Y/n!” Your dad’s voice echoed down the hallway as he rushed in, breathless, his footsteps quick, desperate. He froze when he spotted you on the couch, eyes widening as if the sight of you caught him off guard.
“I’m sorry,” he started, his voice cracking, “I’m so s—”
He stopped mid-sentence as you stood, the movement sharp and deliberate. You clenched your jaw, refusing to meet his gaze as you gathered the crumpled cupcake wrappers and empty water bottles scattered around you. The silence between you thickened, heavy with everything unsaid.
You walked to the trash bin, each step deliberate, your frustration palpable in the way your shoulders tensed. His eyes followed you, pleading, but you refused to acknowledge him.
“Where are you going?” His voice cracked, barely holding back the desperation.
“To bed,” you answered, your tone cold, distant. Still, you wouldn’t look at him.
He glanced at his phone, confusion flickering across his face. “It’s only 7:30?” he questioned, as if the time mattered in the slightest.
“I don’t care.” Your voice was soft, almost too soft, like a balloon deflating after holding in too much air. “I just need to be away from you.”
Matty took a step closer, his hands trembling as he reached out, though he stopped short of touching you. “C’mon, baby. Please don’t do this,” he pleaded, his voice rough with guilt. “Talk to me. Let me fix this. I can make it right.”
The crack in your heart finally shattered. “I don’t care anymore.” The words tumbled out, jagged and raw, each syllable heavy with the weight of years of pent-up frustration. “I’ve let the stupid shit you’ve done slide my entire life! And I’m just… I’m so tired. I’m tired of you disappointing me over and over.”
He looked at you, his face crumpling as if he didn’t know what to say, as if he hadn’t realized just how deep the hurt ran. “I’m sorry,” he whispered, his voice barely holding together. “I’m so sorry.”
You let out a bitter laugh, one that held no humor. “I know you are. You’re always sorry, but I’m tired of hearing it. I don’t care anymore.” Words hitting a little harsher.
He took another step toward you, his voice shaking. “Please, Y/n. Just give me a chance to fix this. Let me make it right, I’ll do anything.”
“No.” You shook your head, your resolve hardening. “You can’t fix this. You can’t even remember my fucking birthday birthday.”
His mouth opened, but no words came. The silence stretched, painful, until finally, something inside him snapped. His face twisted, frustration bubbling to the surface. “I wouldn’t have to try to remember if you weren’t here!” The words flew out, sharp and ugly, hanging in the air like a slap. His eyes widened, regret flashing through them the moment they left his lips. “I didn’t mean that,” he stammered, panic setting in. “Y/n, I—”
But it was too late. The truth of his confession hit you like a punch to the gut, knocking the wind out of you. For a moment, you stood there, frozen, feeling the sting of his words sink in. Then, without another word, you turned on your heel and stomped up the stairs, each step heavier than the last.
“Y/n!” he called after you, his voice breaking with desperation. “Please, Y/n, wait! Don’t go!”
You didn’t stop. You couldn’t. You slammed your bedroom door with a force that rattled the house, and for a brief moment, the entire world went silent. Downstairs, Matty stood frozen in the middle of the room, his head hanging low, his body sagging under the weight of his mistake.
…
Matty wasn't sure what to do next. He paced the living room for a while, his steps quick and restless, before collapsing onto the couch. The same spot where you had sat for hours, fighting tears and the crushing weight of disappointment. He stared at the scattered crumbs and empty cupcake wrappers left behind, his chest tightening as he imagined you curled up there, waiting for him, hoping for something he failed to give.
The knock at the door broke through his spiraling thoughts.
He rose sluggishly, his movements heavy with dread. It was late—too late for a neighbor or a delivery. As he opened the door, the cold air rushed in, carrying with it the sight of George standing on the porch. His coat was large, the collar flipped up to shield him from the wind, and his hands were stuffed deep into his pockets.
“Hey,” George greeted, his voice low and careful, though his sharp eyes betrayed his concern.
Matty blinked in surprise. “What are you doing here?”
George’s expression hardened. “Bubs called. She didn’t tell you?”
Before Matty could answer, he heard the hurried sound of footsteps behind him. You swept past him without so much as a glance, your shoulders stiff, your chin lifted in quiet defiance.
“Hi, George,” you murmured, leaning up to press a quick kiss to his cheek. Your voice was clipped, your movements rushed, as if staying in the house a moment longer would suffocate you. “I’ll be in the car.”
Matty turned to watch as you walked away, your silhouette disappearing into the darkness. The slam of the car door reverberated through the silence.
“Shit,” he muttered, running a hand through his already disheveled hair.
George stepped inside, his boots thudding against the wooden floor. He shrugged off his coat but didn’t bother to hang it, instead crossing his arms and pinning Matty with a pointed look. “What happened, mate? She wouldn’t tell me anything, just that I needed to pick her up.”
Matty hesitated, his eyes darting toward the empty couch before finally meeting George’s gaze. “I said something…I said something really bad.”
George’s brows shot up. “Go on.”
Matty’s voice cracked as he admitted, “I forgot her birthday.”
“I’m sorry—what?” George’s tone was sharp, his disbelief cutting through the room like a knife.
Matty winced. “I left this morning and went to the studio with Adam. My mind was on recording, and I—”
“Don’t you dare finish that sentence,” George interrupted, his voice low and dangerous. “That’s not an excuse to forget your only child’s thirteenth birthday.”
“I know!” Matty snapped, his frustration with himself boiling over. “I know, okay? I screwed up. But I talked to her, and I tried to—”
“Oh, this should be good,” George interjected with a bitter laugh. “Let me guess. You made it worse.”
Matty let out a defeated sigh. “She was crying. I told her I could fix it, that I’d do anything to make it right, and she told me I couldn’t even remember her birthday. And that’s when…”
George raised a brow, his patience clearly thinning. “When what?”
Matty swallowed hard, his throat dry. “That’s when I said, ‘Well, I wouldn’t have to remember if you weren’t here.’”
The silence that followed was deafening. George stared at him, his jaw tightening, his eyes blazing with anger and disbelief. “You are a fucking idiot,” he said finally, his voice calm but dripping with contempt. “You know that?”
“I know.”
“No, I don’t think you do,” George shot back. “Because if you did, you wouldn’t have let her walk out of here feeling like that.”
Matty’s shoulders sagged. “What do I do?”
“You want a step-by-step guide on how to not be a shitty dad?” George’s sarcasm was biting, but when Matty didn’t respond, he softened, his tone shifting to something more serious. “Here’s what’s going to happen. She’s coming home with me. She’s going to cry into my arms, like she always does when I’m cleaning up after your screw-ups. Meanwhile, you’re going to sit here, think long and hard about what you said, and figure out how to make this right.”
Matty nodded weakly. “Okay.”
George stepped back toward the door but paused, turning to face Matty one last time. “And Matty? If you ever, ever make her feel like that again, I won’t just clean up your mess—I’ll make damn sure you know what it feels like to be left behind.”
……..
The car ride to George’s house was quiet, the only sounds coming from the soft hum of the engine and the occasional sniffle you tried to suppress. George didn’t push you to talk. He knew better than to force words out of you when you were like this. Instead, he kept one hand on the steering wheel and the other resting on the gear shift, his presence steady and grounding.
When you arrived, George parked in the driveway and turned off the car, glancing over at you. “You hungry?” he asked softly, his voice breaking the silence.
You shook your head, staring out the window. The weight of the day pressed against your chest, and food was the last thing on your mind.
“Okay,” he said, not pushing the issue. “Come on, then.”
Inside, the warmth of the house enveloped you, a stark contrast to the cold night outside. George flicked on a lamp in the living room, casting a soft glow across the room filled with mismatched furniture and framed photos. It felt safe here, like a refuge from everything waiting outside.
You dropped onto the couch, pulling your knees to your chest. George disappeared into the kitchen for a moment and returned with two mugs of hot chocolate. He set one on the coffee table in front of you and settled into the armchair across from you, cradling his own mug between his hands.
“Want to tell me what happened?” he asked, his tone gentle but firm.
You hesitated, biting your lip as your gaze dropped to the mug in front of you. The steam rose in lazy swirls, and you watched it as though it held the answers you couldn’t find.
“It’s not just the birthday thing,” you said finally, your voice barely above a whisper.
George nodded, not interrupting.
“It’s everything,” you continued, your words spilling out faster now. “It’s like… I don’t even know if he really wants me here. Half the time, he’s so busy with his own life, and I feel like I’m just in the way. Like I’m some obligation he didn’t ask for.”
George set his mug down and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “Listen to me, kid,” he said, his voice steady. “Matty is a lot of things—most of them a pain in the ass—but he loves you. He’s just… not great at showing it sometimes.”
You scoffed, wiping at your eyes with the sleeve of your hoodie. “He told me he wouldn’t have to remember my birthday if I wasn’t here.”
George winced, his jaw tightening. “Yeah, that was a shitty thing to say. No excuses for that.”
You looked up at him, your eyes filled with hurt. “Do you think he means it?”
“No,” George said without hesitation. “I know he doesn’t. Matty’s an idiot, but he’s not heartless. He’s just scared, and when he’s scared, he says things he doesn’t mean. He’s trying, in his own messy way, but that doesn’t mean you have to forgive him right now.”
You nodded slowly, the lump in your throat making it hard to speak.
George moved to sit beside you on the couch, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. “You’re allowed to be mad, Y/n. You’re allowed to feel hurt. But you’re not allowed to think, even for one second, that you don’t belong here, because you do. You belong with him, and he knows it, even if he’s too dumb to show it the right way.”
You leaned into him, the warmth of his embrace and the steadiness of his presence easing some of the tension in your chest. “Thanks, George,” you murmured.
“Anytime, kiddo.” He pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
………
The next morning arrived sooner than you had wanted it to. You were curled up on George’s couch, a blanket draped over your legs and a mug of lukewarm hot chocolate in your hands. The sitcom on the TV had long since faded into background noise, your focus lost somewhere between the fraying edges of the blanket and the storm of emotions churning in your chest.
George walked into the room, pausing just inside the doorway. His expression was cautious, his hands shoved into the pockets of his jeans. You could tell something was up before he even opened his mouth.
“Your father is here,” he said, his voice soft but laced with something that sounded like reluctant hope.
You didn’t look up. “Is he now?”
George shifted his weight, pulling one hand free to scratch the back of his neck. “He wants to talk to you.”
“That’s a first.”
He sighed, moving to sit on the arm of the couch. “Maybe it’ll be good for—”
“Stop.”
“Stop what?”
“Stop fixing his mistakes.” Your voice was sharper now, laced with frustration and an undercurrent of exhaustion. “This is what always happens. Dad makes a mistake, I end up crying, and you or one of the guys come in and fix his problem for him.”
“It’s not a problem. You are not a problem.” George’s voice was steady but firm, like he was trying to will you into believing it.
“That’s not what I said.”
“It’s what you were thinking,” he countered. “Am I wrong?”
You looked away, the lump in your throat making it impossible to respond.
“Whatever,” you muttered eventually, pulling the blanket tighter around yourself.
“Fine,” George said with a sigh, standing. “I’m sending him in.”
“Georgeeee,” you whined, your voice cracking slightly. But he was already walking away, his footsteps retreating down the hall.
A few moments later, your father appeared in the doorway, looking uncertain and uncharacteristically nervous. His hair was a mess, his shirt wrinkled, and his hands were stuffed into his jacket pockets like he didn’t trust himself to let them hang freely.
“Hi, baby girl,” he said softly, his voice tentative. “I came to talk.”
You didn’t look at him. “I don’t want to talk.”
“Can you listen at least?” he asked, stepping into the room.
“Whatever,” you replied, your tone flat and dismissive.
Matty hesitated for a beat before sitting down on the edge of the coffee table, facing you. His knees brushed against the edge of the couch, but you didn’t pull away.
“I didn’t mean what I said,” he began, his voice thick with regret.
“Then why did you say it?” You finally looked at him, your eyes sharp and accusing.
“I was…angry,” he admitted, his shoulders sagging. “I was trying to defend myself, and I made things worse. Like I always do.”
“Hm.”
Matty ran a hand through his hair, letting out a shaky breath. “I made you a cake…” he said after a moment, a faint, self-deprecating smile tugging at his lips. “George told me to do it. To repent for my sins.”
You rolled your eyes, the corner of your mouth twitching in the ghost of a smile. “So he’s fixing your problems for you again?”
“It’s not a problem—you’re not a problem—” he said quickly, his voice rising slightly in desperation.
“You sure made it sound like I was last night,” you shot back, your voice trembling with hurt.
“I’m sorry,” he said, his voice dropping to a whisper.
“You’re just sorry for admitting it,” you said, your gaze boring into his.
“Admitting what?”
“That I was a mistake. That you didn’t want me.”
Matty’s eyes widened, and he shook his head vehemently. “You are not a mistake, my love,” he said, his voice breaking. “You are my whole world.”
“Then how could you forget my birthday?”
His face crumpled, and he looked down at his hands. “I don’t want to give an excuse,” he said after a long pause. “One, because I don’t think you’ll believe me, and two, because it’s not good enough. I can, however, beg for forgiveness for the rest of my life, and tell you how sorry I am.”
You stared at him, your chest tight and your throat burning with unshed tears. He looked so small, sitting there with his head bowed and his shoulders hunched.
“I don’t know if I can forgive you,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
“That’s okay,” Matty said, looking up at you. His eyes were red-rimmed, his expression raw and vulnerable. “Take all the time you need. Just… let me try to be better. Let me prove to you that I can be better.”
The silence stretched between you, heavy and filled with things neither of you knew how to say. Finally, you nodded, a small, hesitant movement that felt like a crack in the wall you’d built around yourself.
Matty’s shoulders sagged with relief, and he managed a small, tentative smile. “Thank you, baby girl,” he said softly.
You didn’t respond, but when he reached out to gently squeeze your hand, you didn’t pull away.
“I got you something.” He whispered. He reached into the large jacket pocket, pulling out a small box, unmistakingly a jewelry box.
You perked up a little, adjusting yourself to sit up. He spoke softly, “I was gonna wait till Christmas for you to get this but, seems like a good time now.”
You let out a quiet scoff, “You planned Christmas already presents but not a birthday one?” He just jokingly hung his head in defeat which made you smile.
Taking the box, you slowly took the lid off, showcasing a silver necklace. It had your initial hanging from the chain, right next to a little charm with an ‘M’ on it, matching the one with your letter. Right above each of those was two small gems which you recognized as your respective birthstones.
You nodded and smiled softly, looking up to meet his gaze. “Thank you.”
He pulled you into a side hug, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Happy Birthday, love.”

J POV
"Please Jo, please", Wooyoung begs, looking at me with desperation, "Please can I have your cunt wrapped around my cock?"
Ok what the fuck?
This is so not what I was expecting when I came over to hang out
"Are you on crack?", I ask, genuinely confused
He's never expressed a desire to have sex with me
Ever
He's never even expressed any attraction to me so what the fuck is this?
"No I just....I can't cum", he whines, "I haven't been able to cum in like three months"
I raise my eyebrow, not believing him at all
He has many fuck buddies he can use
Staff members willingly open their legs for him at the drop of a hat
"You're telling me you haven't fucked anyone is three months?", I scoff
"I...I did but I wasn't able to cum", he tells me, "I don't know why. I stopped fucking other girls three months ago and just jerked off instead but it didn't work either"
"You've been jerking off your whole life, what do you mean it's not working?", I ask in disbelief, "You forgot how to move your hand?"
"It's not working!", he cries, his body shaking, "Please, I'm so hard, I'm so horny all the time. I need some relief. I'm going insane"
I just raise my eyebrows at how desperate he sounds
Like he's about to lose it
"Let me see", I say, not knowing what the fuck I'm doing or why
He nods, standing up from his bed and pulling his sweatpants and boxers down
I look down at his cock and gape
I had no idea he was that big
Or that thick
And I can see what he means when he's saying he's desperate
His cock is so hard, straining, his head red and leaking so much cum, it's just crying from his slit
I don't think I've ever seen a cock that hard before
"Please help me", he whimpers
"What am I supposed to do Woo?", I ask
"Just help me"
I hesitate, "A hand job?"
He shakes his head, "I need to be in a pussy. Your pussy"
I mean it's not as if I don't want that
It's not as if I haven't dreamed of this from the moment I fell in love with him
But this...this isn't him wanting me
This is him wanting to get off because he hasn't had a fuck partner in three months
This is him being desperate to cum and I'm the only one available
"Wooyoung-", I start, not sure I should do this
A hand job is one thing, hell even a blow job is one thing but actual sex....
"Please Jo", he begs, "I'll make you cum too. I'll eat your pussy first"
I raise my eyebrow
Yeah ok that's something I've been dying to see
Him between my legs
But still, this isn't a good idea
This will just make me want him more and I can't have him
"I don't know...", I hesitate
"You don't have to fuck me", he says, distress in his voice, "You...you could just cock warm me. I just...I need to feel a pussy around me"
"So call one of your girls to come over"
He shakes his head, "No. I need your pussy"
Mine?
What the hell does that mean?
"It didn't work with anyone else. I just...I want yours. See if it helps"
Well that's not romantic at all
But at least he's being up front about what he wants
"Please Jo? Please?"
"Yeah fine", I sigh
He nods, dropping to his knees, my heart racing
His fingers hook into my sweat pants, pulling them and my panties down
He helps me take off all my bottom clothes then his gaze moves to my cunt
"Pretty", he murmurs
Without warning he pulls me to him, his tongue buried and licking in my cunt
"Oooh...fff...", I stammer, pleasure exploding in my body
I move beside me, my hand leaning against the wall to keep myself from falling over
"Fuck, you taste so good" he groans, his tongue licking along my slit, between my pussy lips
Fuck, his tongue is so wet, so long, licking in a way he makes sure I can feel all of it
He moves one of my legs over his shoulder, his tongue sinking into my hole and I clench around it hard
"Mmm", he moans, pulling his tongue out then dipping back in
"Wooyoung fuck", I moan in bliss, my hand threading through his hair, the stands so soft around my fingers
One of his hands is around me, gripping my ass and squeezing as he tongue fucks me
I'm so wet, it has to be all over his face
That thought makes me blush hard, wondering if his face will be soaked when he's done and I'll see it
His tongue pulls out, sliding up and licking along my clit, using the flat of his tongue first, then moving it so the tip is massaging it
"Fuck", I cry, blinding pleasure making my body shake, "Fuck Woo. Yes baby"
As his tongue lavishes my clit in licks, his fingers push into my hole, wiggling around, making me shiver
"So fucking wet for me", he groans erotically
Just as soon as his fingers are there, they're gone
Then they're back, then out again
I don't know what he's doing but he does this a few more times, almost like he's getting his fingers or hand wet with my juice
He whines in my cunt, his mouth wrapping around my clit sucking desperately immediately
I shiver, my legs shaking at how fucking incredible it feels
Through the bliss, I hear a rhythmic wet sound, him groaning and moaning as he sucks on me
It sounds like he's jerking off
I look down to find him desperately slurping around my clit, his eyes closed like he's in heaven
Looking further down, I get so tuned on seeing that he is indeed jerking off
His hand is wrapped around his cock, stroking himself, the veins in his beautiful arm popping as he moves
His cock is glistening and I realize that he's using my pussy cream to jerk himself off
That's why he kept putting his fingers inside my cunt
He wanted to use my cream as lube
I will admit that turns me on like nothing else, making chills run up my spine
I watch him suck on me and jerk off, the bliss getting overwhelming
The next tug of my clit has me falling into my orgasm, intense pleasure exploding in my body as I cry out his name
"Wooyoung. Oh god, Wooyoung!"
His eyes open and are on mine instantly, watching me cum as he sucks me through it, his hand letting go of his dick and squeezing my ass, pushing me as close to his face as I can be
I can't, he's so fucking hot, it's mind boggling
As the pleasure fades, his eyes hold mine as his tongue moves down to my hole and slowly licks up
Pleasure enters his brown eyes as he moans, "Oh fuck, you taste so sweet princess"
His tongue keeps licking as he eats my cum, swallowing again and again
"So fucking good. God fucking damn"
I'm shocked as he cleans my pussy, not knowing what to say
When he finishes, he stands up and my face heats up at how wet his face is
His lips, his mouth, his chin and neck are glistening in my cum
He smirks, licking his lip then wiping his mouth, my legs wobbly
He takes his bottom clothes completely off then sits on his bed, half leaning on his headboard
"Please", he whimpers
"You...you didn't cum while you were jerking off?"
He shakes his head, "I told you it doesn't work. Please princess, sit on my cock. Please"
Well here goes nothing
Climbing in him, I get in his lap, him already holding his cock up for me
I'm really doing this
It's kinda surreal
Leaning on his shoulders, I lower down onto his head, taking him in, moans immediately spilling from his mouth
I push down, feeling his unbelievably hard thick cock forcing me open so pleasurably
He's so big it's almost like he's too big for me and I have to push down hard
"Fuck!", he yells, his head leaning back against the headboard, "So tight, oh my fucking god, so tight"
I go down slowly, my pussy getting wetter and clenching harder the more inches I take
He feels so fucking good, it's insane
"Oh my god, I'm gonna...", he cries as I slide down his cock more, "I'm gonna blow my load, I'm gonna-"
His nails dig into my hips as I feel his cock throb hard, warm cum shooting in my pussy as I keep taking his dick, his body shaking under me
I'm so shocked
He really just came from me getting him in
And he's not even fully in yet
"Joanne fuck, yes baby", he shouts, lifting his hips and sliding his cock fully inside me as he orgasms, "So good. Fuck so good"
I clench around him, whimpering as his head nestles against my spot, my pussy involuntarily throbbing around him
I feel so full of his cock, so full of his cum and it's completely satisfying
Of course, leave it to him to feel the best inside me
His body stills, his eyes opening, gazing on me
He lifts his hips again, like he's making sure he's buried in my pussy as deep as he can be
And what I feel is surprising
"Are you...", I say gaping, clenching purposely around him, "Still hard?"
He nods, his eyes on me as he breathes hard
"Fuck me. Please"
That really wasn't what this was supposed to happen
I was just supposed to cock warm him
"Woo-"
"Please. Please. Don't I feel good?"
"Yes", I admit
He does, he feels really good, stretching me out so satisfyingly, his fat head nestled against my spot
"Please fuck my cock", he whines, "You can cum too. Used me to cum. I...I need it. I need your pussy. I need you"
I gaze down into his eyes, seeing want swirled with desire and it turns me on more
I mean I'm already this far, fucking can't be much of a stretch
Maybe I need this
Maybe I just need to fuck him once and I can get over these feelings for him
Probably not, but I'm already sitting on his cock, I might as well go all the way
I nod and he smiles his beautiful smile that takes my breath away and it's so not fair
His hands move up from my hips, pushing my shirt up my body as he sits up
I move my arms through the sleeves, letting him take it off, followed by my bra then I get his shirt off
I gently push him back and get my first close up look of my best friend shirtless
And I choke on air
Broad muscular chest, abs cut into his stomach, the tattoo on his ribs so fucking sexy
I slide my hands slowly down his body, starting from his shoulders, to his chest then to his abs, just feeling how soft and warm his skin is
I move my fingers to his tattoo, slowly tracing the words, his skin shivering under my touch, making me smile softly
"Fuck", he murmurs and when I look up at him, he's biting his lip, looking at me like how I must be looking at him
Like I'm everything he's ever wanted
But that can't be right
He's probably just shocked at seeing me naked is all
It's then I noticed his hands moving all over my body, touching my hips, his fingers trailing up my body, running over my sides, making my skin tingle
He cups my boobs, softly squeezing, his thumbs running over my nipples making me wetter on his dick
"You're fucking beautiful", he murmurs, shocking the fuck out of me, "Fucking perfect"
I blush but remind myself that it's just because he's never seen me naked before
And the fact that he wouldn't tell me I'm ugly
Wooyoung can be dense but he's not mean
"You're beautiful Woo", I tell him, his eyes meeting mine, his cheeks turning pink
"Ride me?", he asks shyly
Which is completely the opposite of the way he acts around me
He's always loud, at times obnoxious, funny, confident
Never shy
It's something completely new
I just nod, putting my hands flat on his chest, then moving my legs, sliding up his cock
The drag of his dick feels so good, sending shivers up my spine, my pussy desperately clenching on him to keep him in
"Fuck", he whimpers, his eyes glued to my pussy
When I get to his head, I squeeze hard, then push down, the feeling of his cock opening me up so delicious
"Woo", I moan, bottoming him out, his head rubbing my spot, making my body shudder
I move slowly at first, up and down his length, moving just a bit faster with each bounce
"Yes baby. Feels so good", he groans, his hands gripping my hips hard
I get a good pace going, bouncing on his extremely hard dick, enjoying the way he feels moving in my pussy
I slide my hands down to his abs, leaning on them as I slip up and down, moving my hips in a circle as I take him all in, grinding on his head
Each rub of his head against my spot zaps bliss and lightening up my spine and I can't help but softly moan his name often
"Wooyoung"
I increase my speed, leaning back on his legs, throwing my head back the more the bliss gets
"Fuck, I didn't know you knew how to ride cock", he murmurs, watching me move on him
I nod, "Yeah, I do"
Most guys are terrible at getting me to cum so I always ride them after a few other positions to make sure I cum too
I've gotten very good at it
"This pussy is so pretty, swallowing my cock like this", he whimpers, "So fucking wet, creaming my cock so fucking much. I didn't know a pussy could cream like this"
"Do you like it?", I ask, closing my eyes, falling into the pleasure he's giving me, my pussy spasming around him harder
"Love it", he answers, "Are you always this wet?"
I shake my head, "Not this much"
I do get wet but I'm completely drenched now, so much so that the squelching sound my pussy is making as I fuck his cock is so fucking loud
It's never been this loud before
"It's just for me?"
I nod, "Yeah Woo. You make me this wet. You make me this turned on"
"Fuck", he murmurs, my cunt choking the life from his cock
I'm so close, just a few more bounces
"Woo, I'm gonna cum", I mumble, moving my legs as fast as I can, riding him like I've never ridden anyone before
"Please cum", he begs quietly, "Wanna feel you cum so bad"
His begging with the next bounce does it and I explode all over his cock, shouting his name, the ecstasy washing over me
"Wooyoung", I moan, not knowing which way is up
All I can do is ride the pleasure, my hips rocking on his cock, his head massaging my spot and keeping me in bliss longer
"Yes, oh fuck, you feel so good! Princess I can't...it feels...fuck", he chokes out, pushing his hips up, making sure he's buried deep inside me
My whole body shakes and I have to lean forward, my hands on his abs as I ride it out on his amazing cock
As the pleasure slowly leaves, I slow down my rocking until I'm finished, so out of breath
That was a fucking amazing orgasm
Before I can say anything, he sits up, pulls me against him and rolls us over
He moves on top of me, my legs moving around his waist on their own, his soft, warm, sweaty skin against mine
It feels so fucking good
He looks down at me with an unreadable expression as he gazes into my eyes
I can't tear my gaze from his intense one, wondering what he's thinking
His finger runs along my cheek as he leans down, his lips capturing mine in a mind altering kiss
My entire body floods with fire, every atom alight and awake
I feel dizzy, my head spinning as I kiss him back, never wanting it to end
My arms move around his neck, holding him close as he pushes his cock back inside me
Burying inside in one stroke, he grinds against me as his tongue moves in my mouth, deepening the kiss
I'm in total heaven, never wanting this to end
He kisses me silly, his hips pulling back, the drag of his cock sending tingles up my spine
He snaps his hips forward, his cock sliding back in, the tip rubbing my spot
I moan in his mouth, clenching on his dick tightly
As he moves, he makes sure he goes in deep, his pelvis rubbing my clit, sending stars into my vision
His arm leans next to my head, his other hand softly playing with my boobs as he thrusts faster
His lips separate from mine but I shake my head, my hand moving to his cheek, "No Woo, kiss me. Don't stop"
He smiles softly, his smile so fucking dazzling, then his lips are back on mine, kissing me passionately
I begin moving my hips, meeting his thrusts, my arms wrapping around him, my hands on his strong back
His muscles move under my palms, his skin soft and sweaty
It does nothing but turn me on more
We move together, my legs tightening around his waist as the pleasure becomes more and more
We both moan, clinging onto each other and I never want this to stop
I want to keep his warm sweaty skin against mine, want to keep running my fingers in his soft hair, keep his lips against mine
That would be my dream come true
"Princess", he murmurs between kisses, his hand taking one of my hands, lacing our fingers and holding my hand firmly, "Princess, fuck, so good"
"So good Woo", I agree, kissing him, the feeling of his hand in mine so right
His cock plunges in and out, the feel driving me crazy, the bliss almost too much
I'm close, my pussy gripping and choking his length
"You're gonna make me cum princess", he groans breaking the kiss, his face moving into my neck, his hips rolling into mine, plunging his cock in at a dizzying speed, "Oh fuck, you're gonna make me cum"
"Wooyoung", I cry, ecstasy crashing over me as another mind blowing orgasm over takes me
I can't think, I can't tell which way is up, all I know is I'm in incredible pleasure, screaming his name
His hips fuck harder into me as I cum, yelling, "I'm coming. Fuck, princess, I'm coming, fuck!"
His cock barrels in, throbbing hard as his warm cum fills me for a second time, his hips pressing against mine, keeping his length inside me
My pussy can't help but pulse around him, milking his cock for all his cum
"Yes, Wooyoung, fuck", I moan as he moans, "Joanne, princess, so good baby, fuck, fuck, fuck"
I finish first, coming back down to earth, holding him as he finishes, running my fingers in his hair and kissing his shoulder
He shivers against me, lifting his head, his gorgeous brown eyes on mine through his wet sweaty hair
He smiles, then leans down, kissing me so softly and in this moment I'm utterly happy
He moves off me, laying down next to me, cuddling into me, his face nuzzling in my neck and I'm surprised
I thought he'd just get up and want to hang like nothing happened
"Mmm princess", he murmurs, his arms wrapping around me, holding me firmly against him and I just can't help but turn into his embrace, snuggling into him too
If he wants to cuddle, I'm going to take it
He sighs contently against my neck, his fingers running in my hair and it feels so good
"Baby", he sighs, "I love you"
I stop breathing, wondering if he knows what he's saying
Wondering if he's joking
Wondering if he knows he just upended my world
"Princess?", he says, a nervous tick to his voice
"Woo...what...what are you doing?", I ask
"I don't understand-", he starts
"Are you playing a joke on me?", I ask quietly, hoping he's not because that would be unforgivable, "Are you just saying-"
"No!", he exclaims, lifting his head, his eyes on mine, "I'm not playing a joke! I would never do that"
"So...you...mean you actually....", I trial off, almost afraid to believe it
"Love you?", he asks, his fingers trailing down my cheek softly, "Yeah Jo, I'm stupidly in love with you"
My heart skips a beat, it taking a few seconds for it to sink in
"Yeah...why do you think I was begging it to be you?", he asks softly, "If I wanted to fuck, I could of gone to the club and picked any girl. I could of called any fuck buddy like you suggested"
I mean yes, he could have
"I just...I couldn't be with anyone else. Anytime I tried, I just wanted you, kept thinking about you and my dick...wouldn't work with anyone else. I couldn't get hard with anyone else. And if I did...I didn't stay hard long enough for sex"
My eyes widen at that
He's never had a problem fucking anyone else before
"I'd just....lost interest because it wasn't you"
"You're kidding", I gape
He shakes his head, "No princess. Once I realized I love you, no other girl did it for me or held my interest. And yeah while I was desperate tonight, I wanted just you. I knew it would only work with you. It had to be you"
Me
I'd have never thought it would be me
Or it'd be more than sex
"I just...I didn't know how to tell you", he says shyly, breaking eye contact and looking down, "And right now, having you in my arms, finally cuddling with me, it felt right and I just said it"
I lift his face to mine, stroking his cheek softly, looking into his eyes
"I love you Wooyoung", I tell him, his eyes widening as a smile forms on his face, "I have been in love with you for so long you don't even know. I thought you'd never see me"
He shakes his head, "I did see you princess. I just didn't know how to tell you how I felt until tonight"
I smile, "I'm glad you did baby. All I ever wanted was you"
"You have me princess", he assures me
"You have me baby", I tell him, "I love you"
"I love you baby", he whispers, his lips against mine in a sweet loving kiss and I melt into him
After, we settled back in each other's arms under his blanket, my fingers running in his hair
"Mmmm princess", he coos, against my neck, "Tomorrow I have a photo shoot. You're coming with me right? I know you don't have work tomorrow"
I giggle, "Yeah baby, I'll come with you"
"Mm hmm. And you'll come to more performances? I need my girlfriend watching me on stage and waiting backstage for me to shower me in kisses and tell me how good I did"
I laugh, kissing his soft lips, "Of course my high maintenance baby"
"And I need to be with you every night, to see you and fuck you and cuddle you and tell you I love you and sleep with you in my arms", he continues, "It's non-negotiable"
I smile, so fucking happy, "That can definitely be arranged baby"
"Good", he says, snuggling closer, "We can start tonight. You're staying with me"
"Yes sir", I laugh, holding him tighter
"I love you princess", he whispers, kissing my neck
"I love you baby", I answer
I close my eyes, ready to fall asleep in my best friend and boyfriend's arms

“𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒓” (part ii)
rafe x sofia
“YOU know it’s been a while since we’ve hooked up,” Ashley says, her hand descends from its perch on his forearm to now resting on his chest as she fluttered her eyelashes at him in a coquettish manner. Rafe chuckles at her indiscreet innuendo, bringing his glass up to his mouth as he chugs it down in one swallow.
“Yeah? How long?” He questions, licking the remnants of his drink off of his lips as he titled a curious head at her; indulging in her flirtation.
Ashley was someone that he sought after whenever he needed a distraction or needed to satiate his sexual frustration.
Them hooking up started about four years ago, right after he dropped out of college. Rafe’s behavior changed drastically as he began indulging in a partying lifestyle—drinking, doing drugs, and sleeping with different girls that he met at parties. It was at one of Topper’s keggers where he first met Ashley.
She’d taken a keen interest in him upon their first introduction, it wasn’t even ten minutes later that they found themselves in the back of Rafe’s truck with his shorts pooled around his ankles and her bouncing on his cock. Rafe took a liking into Ashley too; she wasn’t needy and seemed content with their arrangement.
It was about six months prior to him meeting Sofia that he ended their friends-with-benefits relationship. Ashley was disappointed, but didn’t pester him for a reason or explanation. That was the last time he saw her until today.
He was taken aback when he inadvertently ran into her at the store, last he heard she moved sometime after graduation. But as they reminisced on their shared memories, he learned that she had recently moved back to Outer Banks and was now working at a surfboard shop.
“Way too long,” She surmises, taking a step closer towards him so that she was invading his space. “To the point where I almost forgot how it feels when you’re inside of me,” She whispers, stepping closer in his proximity to where her face is only inches apart from his and he could feel the wisps of her breath fanning his cheeks.
Rafe’s eyes briefly lower to her mouth, but then he’s looking away, rubbing a hand over his clenched jaw as he sighed deeply in exasperation. If she said this to him awhile back, he wouldn’t have hesitated to take her to the nearest bathroom and fuck her until she couldn’t feel her legs.
But he couldn’t.
Because albeit they were broken up, it still felt like a betrayal. Like he was cheating on Sofia. And as much as she hurt him with her deception, he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself for sleeping with another girl out of retaliation. They’d only broken up a few weeks ago and the pain of his heartbreak was still too fresh for him to even entertain the idea of being with someone else so soon.
And truthfully, it’s not like he wanted to.
Who he wanted to be with is Sofia, but discovering what she did to him made everything complicated. If he didn’t still love her, this could’ve been easier.
Heeding his reluctance, Ashley suddenly frowns. “What’s wrong?”
Rafe shakes his head, keeping his gaze cemented on the empty glass to avoid the disappointed look that’s marring her face. “Nothing. I just can’t, alright?” He murmurs. And to avoid any further inquiries, he immediately adds: “I gotta go, I’ll see you around,” He bids her farewell before sauntering off, heading in the direction of the inside entrance.
Much to his dismay, he looks around the room in search for Sofia. He’s aware of the hypocrisy especially after everything that he’s said to her. But he still seeks out her presence, desperate for another glimpse of her before he leaves.
When he doesn’t see her anywhere in sight, he contemplates on approaching one of her coworkers to inquire her whereabouts. But he eventually decides against it as the solemn reminder of their breakup arose, resulting into him walking out the front door and towards the parking lot to his car.
…
She finds herself at Barry’s house.
She’s not certain as to why she’s there, especially considering the fact that he was Rafe’s friend and they’ve only hung out a few times. But that doesn’t stop her from pulling up into his yard and retracting the keys from her car’s engine after putting it in park.
She’s barely made it across the grass towards the trailer before the door’s being pulled open. Sofia halts her gait and looks up to see Barry standing in the doorway—his hair’s disheveled and his face is slightly puffed and flushed almost as if he’d just woken up from a deep slumber. He furrows a confused look at Sofia, craning his neck to look out into the driveway.
And suddenly she’s chagrined for her unannounced presence. “I’m sorry. I don’t why I came here. I’ll leave. Sorry.” She laments apologetically, turning around as she begins to make her way back towards her car.
“You obviously drove all the way over here for a reason,” Barry accents, causing Sofia to halt midstep as she turned back around to look at him. He shrugged, emanating a loud yawn before gesturing a hand at her. “Come on,”
He jogs down the steps of the trailer and sauntered towards the porch.
“So, Miss Sofia, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?” Barry inquired; tapping at the lid of the can of beer that he was holding before prying the tab back. Froth surfaces as the rivulet clicks open. Barry raises a brow at her before talking a large swig of the drink.
She’s seated on the couch athwart from him, writhing her hands together as she chewed on her lower lip. Part of her contemplated on confessing her reasoning because she didn’t want to bother Barry with their relationship issues. But she just needed someone to talk to.
Barry, upon noticing her silent trepidation, nods as he leans forward to set his beer aside. “Rafe came by here the other day,” He confesses, immediately piquing Sofia’s interest. “He looked real bummed out. Kinda depressed, if you ask me.”
“Did he say anything about me or us?”
Barry nods, “He said that you weren’t together anymore, which surprised the hell out of me. I swear I ain’t never seen that boy like that with anyone else. He also told me that y’all were engaged for about five minutes before he broke it off,”
Sofia’s head lowers abashedly as she nods. “Yeah,” She murmurs, biting on her lip again once she feels her eyes burn with tears that threatened to fall.
Barry sighed softly, “Look, I don’t know all the details of what happened but what I do know is that Rafe’s just as heartbroken as you are.”
“Yeah,” Sofia scoffed satirically, sniffling softly as she wiped her tear stained face with the back of her hand. “He looked real heartbroken when I saw him with that girl the other day,” Sofia’s stomach churned at the memory of them at the club—at Rafe’s impish smirk—the same one he used to give her whenever he’d say or do something flirtatious, at how the blonde girl touched him with such familiarity and how he indulged in her seduction without any hesitation.
The other day was evidence that he’d moved on from her. Their relationship seemed like a distant memory to him, forgotten somewhere in the void. It hurt coming to this gut wrenching realization, because she really believed him when he told her that he didn’t care about her mistakes and that they could get through anything together.
“Me and Rafe have had our issues in the past, but believe me when I say I wouldn’t be sitting here vouching for him if I didn’t think that he still loved you.”
Sofia considered Barry’s words, wondering if they held any semblance of truth.
…
“Wow,” Sarah says, staring at the ring in awe as she held it between her fingers. She’s suddenly being overwhelmed with memories of stories that she heard from her parents about it years ago. “I can’t believe you gave her mom’s ring,”
Rafe smiles a little wanly, nodding his head. “Yeah, I uh, remembered where dad had it stored away.” He reminisces on a memory that he shared with his father about the importance of the ring. It was just after their mom died and Ward had approached him, telling him that they needed to have an important conversation.
He went into a full detailed spiel about their relationship and marriage, how his mom was the first woman he ever experienced love with and how the ring was more than just a accessory, it was a significance of their bonded love. Rafe was far too young to fully comprehend the true meaning of it all, but the moment that he gave Sofia that ring, he swears he understood exactly what his father meant.
Because in the year and a half that they were dating, Rafe experienced a love that he never thought he was capable of feeling. He had someone that understood him in a way that no one’s ever done before. He cherished the bond that he developed with Sofia, it was sacred and everything to him.
Sarah gave him a contemplative look, proffering the ring back over to him. “Why’d you take it back? You obviously gave it to her for a reason. We both know how important that ring is, you wouldn’t give it to just anyone if you didn’t actually plan on being with that person,”
She’s right.
It held too much importance for him to gift to just anyone. That’s why he didn’t hesitate when he gave it to Sofia, because he knew she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
“I told you, Sarah—”
“Okay, aside from the fact that she lied,” Sarah rebuttals, “You still love her, right?”
Rafe nods, chuckling despondently as he looked at the ring. “Yeah. I do.”
“Then go be with her. You torturing yourself like this isn’t worth it when you already know what you want. She made a mistake, Rafe. Don’t ruin the best thing that’s ever happened to you because of it. Life’s too short for that.”
He stares at the ring, Sarah’s words wander around his mind as he takes them into deep consideration.
…
It’s almost ten o’clock when she finally returns home. Her eyes are heavy with exhaustion, nearly fluttering close every time she blinks. A loud yawn passes through her parted lips accentuating her fatigue.
Tired couldn’t even begin to describe how she feels. That word would be a trivialization; too meek in its description—weary and depleted of energy was more fitting to capture how exhausted she was after the eight hour shift she just did.
All she wanted to do was shower and crawl into bed.
As she’s pulling into the driveway of her house, she’s surprised to see Rafe’s car parked on the side. He’s leaned against the hood with his arms crossed against his chest and his head lowered.
Surprised by this unexpected visit, Sofia pulls her car into the driveway and retracts the keys from the engine. Her movements are slow as she clambers out of the car to approach him.
At the sound of her approaching gait, Rafe inclines his head to look at her. She feels her cheeks warm underneath his smothering scrutiny. She averts her eyes to the ground, now mimicking his guarded demeanor as she hugs her arms around her body.
Silence hovered over them like a gloomy cloud; ready to unfurl its downpour on them. He’s the first one to take the initiative to speak. “I’ve been standing here for hours trying to figure out what would be the first thing that I say to you,”
Sofia braves the chance and lifts her head to look up at him. He’s already staring at her with this indescribable expression that makes her stomach flutter nervously. “Rafe, I—” But he shakes his head, holding his hand up midair as he interrupts her apology.
She could feel the tears gathering in the back of her pupils again, ready to spill over. He was about to tell her that he hates her and never wants to see her again.
“I love you,” Sofia blinks, taken aback his sudden proclamation. Rafe lowers his hands from his chest as he takes a preemptive step towards her. And when he lifts his hand up to cradle her face within his grasp, she nearly sobs. “That’s the first thing I want you to know. I know that I’ve been upset and angry, but how I feel about you has never changed,”
Sofia nods, sniffling as she leaned closer into his touch. “I love you, too.” She says, feeling the heaviness lift off of her tightening chest.
Rafe sighed, squeezing his eyes shut as he rests his forehead against hers. “I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry, baby. I shouldn’t have overreacted like that,” He laments in deep remorse, furrowing his brow like he couldn’t amend the fact that he’d hurt her.
When he blinks his eyes open, Sofia notices the glossiness in his pupils along with the dejected expression stretching across his face.
“I’m sorry for lying to you.”
Rafe shakes his head, tugging her body closer to his. “I shouldn’t have said that about you to Ruthie and Topper. It was stupid. You mean everything to me and I don’t care who has something to say about it.”
Sofia’s tears fall at Rafe’s words. She chokes on a sob, standing on the tip of her toes as she wraps her arms around Rafe’s neck. All she’s wanted in these last few weeks was some kind of confirmation that they were going to be okay, that her one mistake she made off an emotional impulse didn’t cause her to lose the guy she loves.
And hearing Rafe’s proclamation had assuaged her fears.
She’s held in the security of his arms, wrapped in his embrace. She missed this; missed him and how being in his arms always made her feel at home. “I know that I said and did some hurtful things,” Rafe begins, slowly retracting from the embrace so that he’s able to look at her again. “But I’m hoping that you can forgive me cause I don’t think I can go another day without you, Sof. I missed you.”
She nods, huffing a small chuckle. “I missed you too,”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,”
Rafe leaned his forehead against hers again, his eyes lower to her mouth. He lingered there, almost hesitant, alternating his gaze between her mouth and eyes. “Can I?” He murmurs softly and at Sofia’s avid nod he’s leaning towards her again, decimating the space between them.
…
Slowly, inexorably, he presses his lips to Sofia’s. It’s soft and gentle and chaste; similar to the many kisses they shared before, but it’s better than that—it’s a wave of warmth that fills him up, spilling out from his heart and to the warmth of Sofia’s lips that send an unidentifiable rush to every corner of his body.
Their mouths are united together; her plump, succulent lips compelling against his slimmer, pliant ones, dancing around and soon bonding together.
He continued to press his lips more impenetrably and rougher onto Sofia’s. His insistent mouth was parting her trembling lips, sending wild tremors along her nerves. He inhales deeply through his flared nostrils, removing his hand from her waist so that he’s able to fully cup her face within his grasp. He tips his head down, chasing after her lips.
They reluctantly part for air, both of their chests convulse as they try to lull the beating of their chests. Rafe licks his kiss swollen lips, brushing his thumb over the cusp of her cheek as he stared at her.
He couldn’t reconcile how he’d willingly gone weeks without her, how he allowed a petty mistake to ruin something that held such high importance to him. The money, the deal, none of that mattered to him. Not as much as Sofia does. And he’ll be damned if he let another day pass by without her knowing that.
“I love you,” He whispers against her mouth; his hands squeeze at her hips in an affectionate gesture.
“I love you, too.” She says, her words disappear into the void as Rafe seeks out her mouth for another kiss. It’s slow and sensual, with their noses brushing and their lips chasing lazily after each other’s.
Rafe pulls away again, licking his lips as he stared at her. “I know this might seem sudden for me to ask you again, but I meant it the first time and I mean it now,” Sofia’s eyes lower as they watch his movements. He digs into the front pocket of jeans and retrieves the ring.
Sofia’s eyes weld with tears as she chuckled softly. “Rafe…”
“It’s yours. It belongs on your finger. And I’m hoping that after I ask you again, you’ll say yes and never take it off.” Her lip trembles as she nods her head, completely overwhelmed with emotion.
Rafe exhaled a shaky breath, smiling as he looked at her. “I uh, I know that I already gave you a speech the first time,” He chuckles, sniffling softly. “But there’s something else that I want to say. I’ve never felt like this before with anyone and I know that I’ll never feel like this with anyone except you because you’re my person, you’re apart of me in ways that you don’t even know. I love you more than a human heart can love, baby. You’re everything to me and I don’t know if I would be the man I am today without you. You made me a better person. I didn’t think it was possible to love someone so much, but it’s easy to love you. It’s all I know how to do,” He harrumphs softly, clearing the thickness of emotions that wedged in his throat.
His hands tremble slightly as he holds the ring in his grasp. “With all that being said, Sofia Valdez will you marry me?”
Sofia’s lip trembled as she wiped at her tear stained face with the back of her hand. She nodded as she chuckled softly. “Yes!” She says, not even giving him time to slide the ring on her finger before she’s wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him deeply.
Rafe reciprocates her ravenous kisses, smiling and laughing against her mouth as he pulled away slightly.
“Can you let me put it on before I end up dropping it?”
Sofia giggled as she nods, retracting from the embrace. “Sorry. I’m just so happy.” She says as she proffers her hand outwardly, watching as Rafe lined the ring up to her finger and eases it down until it’s decorated prettily around her finger (again).
Once it’s fully on, Rafe reaches for her hand again. He shakes his head, “You don’t have anything to be sorry for.” He was just happy to see her smiling again.
“I love you.” She proclaims; unable to contain the mirth that’s written all over her face.
“I love you, too.” Their mouths meet again, slow and soft in a kiss—encapsulating the night’s bliss.

Intridimensional AU part 20! (So many parts 🤔)
First /// Previous /// Next
Also part 19.5 (silly extra sketch) here!
______________________________________
Ford took off his sweater vest and laid it carefully over Stan's sleeping form before returning to Fiddleford's side. They had spent the last hour speaking with the other creatures hiding out in the cave and had come up with somewhat of a plan of action, but had decided to stay here for a few hours and rest.
Stan had easily fallen asleep, turns out being used to napping wherever and whenever you could came in handy when you accidently fall through a portal. Ford and Fiddleford on the other hand, could not so easily shut their brains off.
“Do you need help?” Ford asked as he watched Fiddleford attempt to organize the pile of gadgets the other refugees had given them with only one hand.
“Definitely. But not with this.” Fiddleford replied.
“Right.” Ford said, looking away.
Fiddleford stayed silent as he continued to mess with the gadgets, and Ford accepted the silence for all of 30 seconds before speaking up again.
“Fiddleford, I'm so sorry.” He said quietly.
Fiddleford put down the gadget he was holding and looked up at the rocky wall across from him.
“I know. Ya said that already, Stanford.” He said.
“I know I did. I just need you to know that. I never meant for any of this to happen. I had no idea what Bill was really like. I still haven't wrapped my head around it.”
“Well maybe ya shoulda told me ‘bout him sooner.” Fiddleford sighed. “But then again, ya wouldn't a listened ta me then, either.”
“Or maybe you would have erased that memory.” Ford replied, immediately regretting it as Fiddleford finally turned towards him.
Ford expected to see anger on his face, and wouldn't have blamed him if he did, but all that he saw was sadness.
“That's prolly true.” Fiddleford said quietly. “I don't know how to deal with any a this, and honestly I'd like to erase it all right now and never turn back, but I have a son, Stanford. A son that will die with the rest of our dimension if we don’ do somethin’.”
“Your son…” Ford replied quietly. “I was so caught up in all of this I forgot all about him.”
“Yeah, well I didn't. I never did. Even when I left him behind to help you.” Fiddleford said with a humorless huff of laughter. “I ain't innocent in all this, Ford.”
“Maybe not innocent, but I'm the one who believed Bill and caused this.” Ford noted
“And I coulda said no from the beginning, but I couldn't bring myself ta do it… I left my son behind second ya called me.”
“You planned on going back in barely a month, Fidds. You can't blame yourself for that.”
Fiddleford looked back at the wall across from him before replying. “I didn't come to Gravity Falls to be part a history or whatever yer always sayin’. I came to Gravity Falls because ya asked me to, Stanford.”
Ford frowned at him in question and Fiddleford glanced back over at him.
“Fer bein’ so smart, ya sure are dumb.” Fiddleford said, huffing out a laugh. “I came when ya called ‘cuz I love you, Ford. I've loved you since ya burst into our dorm room talkin’ bout math. I tried to move on and started a family ‘cus I thought I'd never hear from you again.”
Ford floundered for a second before answering. “Fidds, I'm so sorry. You must know how I lov-”
“No.” Fiddleford said, cutting him off. “Don't go sayin’ that ta me jus’ ta make me feel better. Even in college I knew yer work would always be more important to ya than me. Maybe if I had focused on my own work instead a you we wouldn't be here.”
“You know how much I care about you, Fiddleford. Can't I love you and my research? You love me and you love your wife! Why can't a man love two things?”
“That ain't the same. I love my wife, but not in the way I love you. The way I love you is destructive, Stanford.”
“It doesn't have to be!” Ford practically yelled, then caught himself and lowered his voice. “Maybe destructive is what we need. I know we wouldn't be here if I had listened to you in the first place. Maybe you don't want to hear it right now, but I do love you, Fiddleford, and I'm finally ready to listen. I need you. You keep me grounded.”
Fiddleford looked at him in silence for a moment before responding. “Maybe destructive is what we need. Jus’ promise me ya ain't gonna keep more secrets from me, and I'll do the same.”
“I promise.” Ford said, then leaned in and kissed him.
“Fucking finally!” Stan said, making Ford and Fiddleford tore away from each other and look over at him.
“I was about to knock your heads together if you didn't get over yourselves.” Stan continued, ignoring their obvious embarrassment. “Watching you two pine over each other was more painful than getting my leg cut off.”
“Stanley! I thought you were asleep!” Ford said.
“And miss all that drama? Fuck no. I'm a light sleeper. Nerd arguments wake me up.”
“I don’ know if I'd call that a ‘nerd argument’.” Fiddleford noted.
“Well it was!” Stanley responded. “We get it. We all fucked up. We're two amputees and the stupidest genius in the galaxy hiding from god-like geometric shape in a rock floating in space! But believe me, as someone who is close personal friends with rock bottom, it could definitely be worse. At least we all fell into the portal! Imagine if it was just you two! I wouldn't have a damn clue how to bring you back. The only way to beat a three-sided triangle is by being a functioning trio. That's math!”
“That was surprisingly inspiring.” Ford responded.
“I'm inspiring as fuck!” Stanley said defensively. “The point is I'm happy you two nerd-idiots finally got your shit together. Now I can focus on interdimensional babes instead of trying to steal Fiddleford from under you, Ford!”
Ford pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed in response.
“Prolly for the best, it was startin’ to work on me.” Fiddleford said thoughtfully.
“It what?!” Ford asked, nonplussed.
“I told ya he was charmin’, didn't I? Yer lucky I've loved you so much longer, Stanford.” Fiddleford said with a laugh as Ford glared at Stan. “Speakin’ of you bein’ charmin’, take this.” Fiddleford continued, handing Stan a watch-like gadget. “It's a translator. I'm thinkin’ you'll be the best at talkin’ to different people until I can get the supplies, and an arm, ta make two more.”
“Well it ain't a Rolex, but it'll have to do.” Stan said, putting it on his wrist. “But you two should actually get some sleep. We don't know when we'll be able to next. Just no fucking where I can hear it.”
“Goddammit, Stanley. Maybe you shouldn't be the one with the translator.” Ford said as Stan laughed.
“I think that's ‘xactly why he needs it. Quick thinkin’ to come up with those terrible jokes.” Fiddleford laughed. “But he's also right, we should be gettin' some sleep. We got a long journey ahead.”
________________________
I try to make Fiddleford's accent more dramatic when he's stressed, but I'm not sure if that translates well? Whatever.
Next will be a comic, which may take me a bit of time to finish because I started my new job and it's like an hour and a half commute one way. So I spend 3 hours of my day driving, and 8.5 hours at work. Which means I am home not often. 🤷🏻

how do you manage to get any followers or friends in the selfshipping community? is it just luck?
for months i’ve been trying to interact with others and follow people, engaging with stuff like ask games and hosting reblog games, but when i try to share any artwork or i reblog an ask game myself, its radio silence. like even in small discords i get ignored so bad
i don’t say this at all to be guilt tripping /gen, it’s genuine curiosity at how this stuff even works. like am i doing something wrong or is the community just like this?
here is my comprehensive and lame guide on How To Get Selfship Followers
step 1 - posting
so a lot of my posts are either kinda general or fun. folks I will not lie to you. these are all stupid shit that come to my mind on a day to day basis. for example, today, I thought, "man I'm such a loser I'm not in college like all my friends r" and then I was like "omg wait. i could make a post out of this" so I did that.
you also kinda gotta be conistent. so i try to post at least *something* everyday. even if its a reblog, tho, I don't reblog a lot of things other than ask games.
another thing with posting is that i do try to make a lot of community based content. so idk if yall remember but in the beginning of my account, I did the "things you can do if you have xyz f/o". i did like,,, I think almost 100 of those ?????? it was a lot. then I started making templates and I made some ask games and ofc I post a lot of general like,,, imagine stuff. oh also polls. people seem to enjoy polls.
step 2 - be positive
this is the big thing. as most of yall (hopefully) know, I do not fw proshippers !! but I don't talk about discourse unless its directly brought up. not only this, I put a big focus on just,,, being nice idk. like id like to think I'm a pretty down to earth person.
if you make a template and people tag you in it, say something nice! reply to peoples art, send in asks, things like that. i try to do my part in being nice. i also just like hearing about peoples selfships.
when people post promos and have the little "rb to be moots", reblog! when you come across someone having a bad day, maybe they made a vent or something, reply with a simple "I hope you feel better <3" or "your f/o loves you <3". things like that, ya know?
step 3 - have fun
genuinely. i post as much as i do because I like it. i didn't go into this thinking "oh... yea... I'm gonna get selfship famous..." like no I just wanna ramble somewhere bc none of my close irls r selfshippers.
you wont get popular or get followers because you grind out posts. literally one of my biggest posts on this account I wrote while I was half asleep one night and wanted to test out queuing on my account.
and in that regard, it is partially luck. i don't control what posts people do and don't like. sometimes I write up imagines and no one sees them. sometimes I write up a post saying "lol go kiss your fake boyfriend ooo smoochie smoochie" and that does numbers
step 4 - interaction
im only in two servers. one server (which was the first public server I think I ever joined ???? i could be wrong tho,,, bad memory blehg) that I don't own and then my own 18+ server. i don't think being in servers does anything,,, considering I'm only in one that isn't mine. i think its more like ,,, sticking to one or two places ?? like just being consistently in an area you're comfortable in.
i guess you gotta just find the right people ??? and like I mentioned, be friendly, but ya know. also I guess tags too? idk if you look at any of my regular posts I have 8 million tags on them. idk if that actually does anything or not because its kinda hit or miss sometimes.
i was gonna say something else but i forgot. see look listen I dunno how I got here but this is what I do ,,,, effectively nothing. also with the being kind thing, maybe this is how I am bc I'm pagan but I think that if you expect kindness back you wont get anything. sometimes its just nice to be nice. eventually you gain a reputation for being a nice person. you kinda have to not want that tho? like I don't see myself as particularly like ,,, super kind ,,,??? i just do what feels right.
step 5 - uhhhh idk im just rambling now
i guess i also went into this kinda like. damn sometimes this community is a cesspool of absolute meanie pants. i don't wanna be a Meanie Pants and just post my thoughts and the things I think about. i guess how I see it too is, I kinda like ? idk I think all these things anyways why not post them? kinda feels like a waste not to.
also ive been told my posts are pretty recognizable bc of how I format them ? my dividers and such. also tagging all of my imagines and stuff with my 🥀📜 emojis. i guess that helps too? because that's how I recognize certain accounts. "like oh there's them I recognize their dividers and their tags".
also you kinda gotta like,,, not let hate get to you. like have fun with it? i know that's hard, but, that's what you gotta do. when I get printer ink (bc. a hoe does NOT like buying printer ink) im printing out that fucking 8 mile long hate message I got sent. but also that's just the kinda person I am. like people being a dick and stealing my posts and telling me to swallow a glock 9mm doesn't upset me, im more like,, confused more than anything because never in my life have I ever sent hate to anyone. also I have had this "I do not care because you're some loser on the internet and you being an ass wipe is no where near as bad as the shit people have done to me irl" attitude.
TLDR; i dont think youre doing anything wrong because I don't exactly know what I'm doing right. i just... do... and sometimes, "just doing" is enough. maybe its luck, maybe I've been blessed by the tumblr algorithm and I've somehow figured it out, or maybe the community is just genuinely that bad and they pick favorites. maybe its all of the above! who knows. i try not to worry about it. i think at the end of the day, as long as you're having fun posting about your f/os and selfshipping, that's what matters.
alright thats all see ya. if you have any more questions feel free to ask however I fear I cannot answer them </3

@dellanir hey, sorry for the tag, but it's maybe easier to talk like this than in the answers :|
To my understanding, our heroes won the final battle when Galbatorix lost his cool. He got mad, he set everything aside and tried to break Eragon's mind, straight and head-on. And the thing that made him mad was Murtagh getting free and attacking him. That was that broke the king's spell that was holding down Arya, Saphira and Elva, so they were physically able to move.
Most of Eragon's success is him acting on a whim, on instincts - but at the same time it also almost killed him many times, so when we are throwing things of what could he have done, keep in mind that all of those can kill him as well. Also: Eragon spent like. Two months at most in Ellesméra, studying from Oromis and he forgot a lot (ie. the Banishing of the Names, human runes, probably even more, as Oromis had no time to revise their lessons. I don't hold it against him, it was a very difficult and challenging part of his life). He got the distilled version of the rider-training. Galbatorix was a student in the height of the Order, so I think we can safely assume that everything Eragon knew, Galbatorix knew as well. Even if he had been an apprentice a long time ago and he forgot a lot.
Murtagh said that the king could be killed in many ways. Eragon found one. However, we've seen how did Galbatorix deal with Nausada, and in the new book it was revealed how did he break Murtagh. For me, this means that if Murtagh there in the throne room didn't change, Galbatorix would have done the same to Eragon. He was entertained by Eragon and the others, but he'd have returned to the known ways. He could have started with separating Eragon from the others, stripping him from his magic. He could have started torturing Saphira, which is a well-known method to break riders. Eragon reached him with his talking, that's why he let that duel happen in the first place, but if he had talked further, I think he'd have silenced him.
If we have the throne room scene with everything the same, except for Murtagh and Thorn switching sides, then Eragon and his company has the slimmest chance to win. It is possible, as everything is possible, but I'd give it a one to million ratio. We were granted with the best outcome there, I think, everything else would have been too taxing to our heroes either physically or mentally. I am thinking about Murtagh's threat from the third book where he'd said that he'd cut down Eragon's hand, since he wouldn't need that in Uru-baen. And while hands can be glued back with magic, as we've seen it in courtesy of Balder, Glaedr's case shows that it is not always the case.
For mental stuff: Eragon was in a very vulnerable state mentally after the end of the war. Let's not forget that he was a teenager who was forced to grow up too fast and who'd lost basically everything during that war, including his own sense of privacy. If he'd beaten Galbatorix alone without the help of Saphira, Arya, Murtagh, Thorn and Elva, he'd have become a second Galbatorix. If not immediately after the battle, then later on. He still has that fear, that's why he left Alagaesia.
Galbatorix was alone. Even if he had Shruikan and the Eldunarya, they all hated him, so in reality, he was alone. He had to be overthrown via group effort, and in that way it had happened in the book, otherwise Eragon's future, and the future of Alagaesia, would be in danger.
TLDR: Eragon has a one to a million chance to win without Murtagh's help, and I don't want him to win like that, because that would break him and the consequences would be ugly.
Could Eragon actually defeat Galbatorix without Murtagh's help?
If Murtagh's true name had remained the same or if he hadn't remembered the Name of Names, does that mean Galbatorix would have easily defeated Eragon and the Varden?
#there is a pretty emotional scene with him realising that change is good and he's changed#but not all change is good#let him kill Galbatorix alone and he'll become the next Galbatorix#also if Murtagh hadn't changed sides there he'd have died probably with Thorn#and Eragon wouldn't know the Name#which helped him to release the oaths of the army of the Empire#so... things would be very different#probably another civil war would have started after the king's death#more death and destruction and stuff yey#Eragon sticking around being Nasuada's (if she managed to get out of there alive) help which kinda sounds like a Morzan-situation#no time to deal with the dragons or try building the Order again#OR if he leaves Alagaesia despite the current situation then Nasuada is probably killed very soon#guilt would eat him up alive#I prefer having him die young than watching him becoming the villain :|
