--the ending feels unsatisfying as hell even if i ignore everything i dont like about how the game treated zelda and ganondorf, the ending itself just feels, despite being presented as super epic an touching, incredibly empty to me and part of it is that it feels like an unearned return to status quo of course i didnt think zelda would stay a dragon and i actually wanted to help her, which is why i kept trying to hunt down impa since she said shes gonna search for a way for us to help zelda, bc i wanted to!! i was eager to help her!

i fully hoped and kinda expected that thered either be some kind of dragon dungeon (think, the water dragon from okami) tho that would be difficult since you can get items from her so i ended up thinking before going into the end thered be a mission with impa (or at least given to you from her) where she found answers in ancient scripts (that she told you she would look through) and that you need to find a special lil thing that will help zelda undragonfy, like some sort of ultra secret forbidden enigma stone able to reverse dragon transformations kinda deal (golden opportunity to make you go and talk to the yiga bc they might know or even own some ancient texts) that youd keep in your inventory until the very end and after you kill dragondorf (pretty mortal for becoming an immortal dragon huh) you take it out and use it, undragonfying zelda and ending in a similar epic falling and paralel to the beginning way

... and instead impa stays in the house and only has a few repeating dialog boxes and does nothing and you cant do anything bc in the end you just get randomly teleported (and stripped of your clothing AGAIN) into some weird ethereal plane somehow?? with the ghost of long ass dead sonia and apparently not as gone as i thought rauru (seriously i felt sad when he went poof at the end of the tutorial but i guess i shouldnt have) awkwardly blasting dragon zelda with some magic tm and its all reversed no problem (heck me for caring i guess) turns out helping her was killing an evil guy we never really knew and mineru just kinda says lol its bc time and light magic i guess lol as an explanation

like i really wanted to go and help zelda! i was motivated to do it and spent HOURS trying to find impa again but i wasnt allowed to do anything bc zelda gets saved by some deus ex machina bs in the end anyway, what a fool i was, of course killing the evil guy is the solution to everything >:( (and no i dont care if its meant as in uwu sonia and rauru wanted to help one last time uwu bc it doesnt change how unsatisfying it was to watch it all just kinda happen)

--point two is just how much totk feels like its trying to REPLACE botw instead of being a sequel, its not building on anything of it its ripping out the fundation and building its own thing in its place, like i was so excited to see what happened to the titans, and all the sheikah tech what they mabe had done in all that time now that theres a tech enthusiastic girl as the head of the monarchy, maybe even find out more about them and instead its just all ... gone with not explanation? theres isnt even a LAME explanation, its just gone?? you never find out what the ancient energy actually was, and why there were concentrations of it in the regions with the ancient furnace (well heck it didnt even have anything to do with ganondorf actualyl bc that would have been too interesting) bc that was so intrigueing?? like yeah where DID it come from and why is it there ?? and oh suddendly hey look theres an even MORE ancient and even MORE advanced civilization thats way COOLER and BETTER than the ancient sheikah now, they also built stuff everywhere and have been here ALL ALONG cant you see its everywhere!! and its the only thing everyone cares about all of the sudden, all evdidence of the ancient sheikah tech was scraped of the earth so there literally only being some guardian parts on top of the hateno lab feels like an oversight now bc everything lese was to thourohgly wiped of the map- for no reason even?? like im totalls fine with it being useless and not working anymore but .... why remove it like it was wiped from history?? and then they have the gall to mention the happenings of botw like, twice in the entire game but still just give you the most basic summary of it mentioned on a sidenote with again not even a hint what happened to all of it

wouldnt there have been the golden opportunity to use it to access the new parts and map points that changed?? like a shrine thats fallen into the underground, an access to caves and the underground in the broken and collapsed elevator tube of a sheikah srhine?? maybe even a broken interior of an old shrine, like the room you get put into with the puzzle and where the monk once were broken and half overgrown in the udnerground? some left over construction site where you can see oh thats how the ancient sheikah got all that tech underground, bc they all had access to it and built it there to then rise up when its needed? maybe even making use of the old sonau sites since they frequnetly built their srhines within those ruins?? that the ancient sheikah found em and put the ruins to use? to research it and built their own stuff from it? it wouldnt have to have any focus, literally just part of the enviroment even

So because Sonic Movie 3 trailer has come out (just finally managed to watch it. I've been busy), Imma ramble a bit to you guys.

I don't really remember which character that first appeared in the game. Was it Shadow or Metal Sonic? Because, tbh with you, I thought we were going to get Metal Sonic first before Shadow (of course, I had this thought before I watched Sonic Movie 2 hidden scene. Literally in the middle of ending credit, still sitting on a movie theater chair with popcorn in my hand haha. My brain cannot stay still)

I mean...it made sense, you know? Eggman was 'presumed dead' and Stone finally snapped. He decided to study better and become the next evil genius to replace Eggman. Then, Sonic's quill, which Eggman had previously acquired and used to open up a portal, was put inside a robot he had created. He thought 'If Eggman, powered up by Master Emerald was still not enough to beat Sonic, then maybe Sonic can beat himself.' And that's how Metal Sonic was born~

This'll makes Stone become a bit of an important character as well, instead of an original character insert nobody like.

...well, I think Stone have their own fans. I, myself, like his antic actually, ha.

I also kinda hope that with the appearance of Metal Sonic, Knuckles will finally teach Sonic how to harness his lighting power. Like, maybe if he can control it better, he can beat Metal Sonic by overloading his machine or something.

Seriously tho'. Are we not going to get an explanation about this? At the beginning of Movie 1, the Echidna seemed like they wanna capture Sonic for his power, that's why Logclaw was forced to send Sonic to Earth. But when Knuckles appeared in the second movie, he only cared about the whereabouts of Master Emerald? Sure, that's exactly Knuckles origin so there's no way they would ever change it, game fans will go ballistic. But I am now confused. Why would they wanna capture Sonic if Knuckles himself already had that lighting power? You have a 'prodigy' in your tribe already, you don't need Sonic's power anymore.

If your answer to that is because 'the echidna was actually there NOT for Sonic, but for Longclaw', well, how did they know Sonic is Longclaw's adopted son? They saw Sonic running around and immediately thought 'Hey, that kid will bring us to that blasted owl hideout! We gotta follow him!'? That...doesn't make sense.

And now from Sonic Movie 3 trailer, Sonic and co. are going to team up with Eggman? Instead of, idk, learning how to harness that lighting power??? Are we seriously not gonna get an explanation for this?

Well, maybe we will get an answer in this third movie. But until we get to see the evidence otherwise, imma complain like a huffy Karen for now lol.

Hey, so i have a few head canons for my oc, Cloudstrike, aka Ethan Grey (also, when I made him, I completely forgot Jean’s name is Jean Grey. Im sorry Jean 😭. So rn it’s just a coincidence, but maybe I’ll change it, or maybe make them distantly related? Idk this is my first oc anyways :p). I submitted him before for a different ask you did (I don’t expect you to remember that ofc tho lol), and he has wind powers, to be able to control wind, turn into a gaseous state, use some lightning, etc.. Also, since X-men ‘97 is what brought me into X-men, a lot of my ideas are based on that universe in the show. So anyways, here’s some head canons I have for him 😊

Sometimes, Ethan likes to turn himself into his gaseous stage and go into the vent system in the mansion, and be shot around the place like a roller coaster. He finds it to be a fun way to pass the time. 😊

Like how Bobby/Iceman can use his ice powers to chill drinks, Ethan can use his powers to chill or heat anything up (though he can’t chill anything quite as good as Bobby). So, the other X-men like to have him around during freezing days for him to be their portable hand warmer lol

He likes to play video games, especially competitive ones, so he hangs out and plays with Jubilee a lot, Roberto too sometimes, but since he’s more inexperienced, they won’t play as competitive of games as to not make Roberto feel as bad 🥺

He loves to cook, and to experiment with unique dishes, so he loves to get recipes from the other X-men; German recipes from Kurt, Cajun from Gambit, and several African recipes from Ororo. 🥘🥧

While Ethan has a bed and sometimes sleeps on it, he prefers to instead sleep while hovering in his gaseous form in his room. He finds the lack of pressure or gravity to be comforting

When he’s goofing around, he’ll sometimes give the person a small static blast (doesn’t hurt, just tingles), which is especially affective against Kurt and Hank because of their fur.

Since he has somewhat similar powers as Storm, she helps him in the danger room to train. They form a bond from their similarities, and even practice fun combos they could do in fights.

He has a small crush on Kurt (because who wouldn’t lol, plus Ethan’s bisexual), but he isn’t acting on anything yet. Though, he can’t help but blush whenever Kurt compliments him 💙

He would consider Jubilee to be his best friend. Also, they bond over being raised for adoption (I changed this one part of his backstory, to where he was abandoned by his original family for unknown reasons, but was adopted by this nice and caring human family who didn’t mind that he was a mutant). In XMTAS, she has foster parents too, so they bond over this. 🥰

He isn’t that keen on Logan atm, as he finds him to be kind of a jerk, but Kurt keeps telling Ethan that Logan is cool if you get to know him, so Ethan’s keeping an open mind. Though, he can’t help occasionally making some jokes at Logan’s expense with Scott.

Ethan has an interest for science and engineering, and sometimes likes to nerd out with Forge (whenever he’s around) and Hank sometimes.

Anyways, that’s my ramble for now. Again, he’s my first oc so I have some things I need to refine and expand on, but this is what I have so far. I’m not even skilled enough if an artist yet to draw what he exactly looks like. Also, I’m completely open to any critiques, ideas for improvement, or other fun ideas that I could incorporate! I hope you enjoyed my rambling 😊

I think wind powers are super cool. And turning into a gas is super useful! I wish that more mutants who had elemental powers utilized this. I also love how he sleeps in this state for comfort, it makes sense! I love seeing domestic sides of ocs too.

I love his relationships you mentioned! Jubilee and Roberto is a cute trio with Ethan, and cooking with Kurt and Ororo? Sooo sweet.

The shock! Kurt and Hank puff up!! That's so cute. Like rubbing a balloon on them and watching it stick 😂

You know Kurt the flirt is gonna be complimenting Ethan. He'd be so fascinated with his powers and I think he'd ask him a ton of questions about them, especially about when Kurt teleports and he asks Ethan about his brimstone smoke cloud. Can he control it? Does it have a taste? A smell? A feeling?? So many questions.

HA I love how Ethan doesn't really like Logan, he can be kind of an ass at first.

I love all the relationships he has with the team, it really feels like he's part of the group! He's fleshed out really well, and the connections makes him feel more real. He's sweet! Thank you for sharing him with us 💙

Hazbin Hoetl 5-6

Spoiler warning!

Not gonna lie, at first I was cringing a bit at Lucifer. I was expecting him the have, like, grace and baddie energy. but he's talking to himself pretending to show off rubber ducks to a crowd.

And of all the potential dynamics he and Al could have had, competing father figures was NOT on my mind at all dude. Al? Dad?

But, I watched these last two episodes a couple (okay maybe several) times over and, it's really growing on me. It was definitely the predeveloped impressions getting in the way of really enjoying these characters. Even the irks I had about Alastor aren't really irks anymore, especially with "Dad beat Dad having much better animation and a banger number for Al (seriously wtf he's horrific in this episode)--

"Could you butt out of my song?"

"Your song? I started this!"

"I'm singing it, I'll finish it!"

Before, I was seeing it as how well they pull off my (and arguably the long simmering fandom's) idea of these characters instead of how well the characters as they actually are are told. So many people thought this show would be a super serious deep dive on Christianity and commentary on religion itself. But at this point, it really feels like Heavan and Hell are metaphores. They focus a lot more on personal issues like relationships, coping mechanisms, flaws like nievety, displaced senses of self worth, etc.

Charlie's idea of what "gets people into heaven" is naive and brochure-like. Adam gave a literal list of three items that seemed overly simplistic (and turned out to be wrong).

But at least they had some idea about it. The higher angels themselves had no clue whatsoever, their only concern was preserving the status quo. And even when things are called to question they fall back to old ways just bc they're scared to change anything. Sera didn't have any malice toward Hell, she just doesn't want to make things worse, having Angels fall, have Hell attack Earth or Heaven, have more evil spread, by changing things.

Getting a better idea of what all of this is about makes it so much easier to appreciate things I initially was put off by. It just has a context that it fits into now.

Lucifer being this disillusioned depressed dork with "yeaaaah, No." energy fits into what we've seen of heavenly culture (uncanny innocence, annoying teen pop-culture energy, being perfectionist yet blind to their own flaws)

And The "Hell's Great Dad" song really broke the ice, especially when Mimzy busted in singing ITS MEEEEEEE-- like

Love her. I wasn't expecting to see Mimzy AT ALL since she was removed from the main cast. And after seeing people talk about her and how they were wondering about her, it definitely felt like popping in the way she did was a response to that. Even I was wondering bc you don't just drop a former love interest for a character like Alastor, but still have them show up in the pilot-- I wanted to see Mimzy lol.

Like, im sorry but I felt like she was pointing at me personally, not the other characters, and that was hilarious.

It's so random but doesn't feel out of place at all somehow. The tensions were already super high, so a random screaming woman busting in with even higher energy is like-- wtf?? :'D??

She was a blast the entire time tho, and actually tied into the reoccurring theme of only reaching out to someone so they can do something for you.

It also definitely pinched a side of Alastor, irritating that he does apparently NEED to be there, there's some obligation he actually has to the hotel, or at the very least some stakes to not holding things together, not bc he defended the hotel but bc he specifically says "I can't have that here" , he also doesn't refute the claims Mimzy makes about him. Al clearly adores her and isn't surprised by her antics at all yet still tells her to leave. With the mention of Alastor's "leash" in the same episode BC of Mimzy was just such a great way to use her character. A fun entrance, thematic relevance, and a great plot device to reveal more about Alastor's situation and motives.

Like I said, at first the food tasted cold. I was thinking to myself "Eh, nothing really that crazy ig" but the more I watch the episodes and get over whatever my expectations were, the more I enjoy what's there.

Like, at first I was thinking, "Oh no Lucy's another akward dork, a normie, a loooooserr" (not that being an akward dork or a normie is bad but those were the vibes I was giving off, I'm sorry)

But I keep watching "Hell's Greatest Dad" and NOW it's like

LOOK AT HIM< LOOK AT HIM GO

Like, he's fugghing adorable with the "WAP BAP BOOM"

the puppets and the circus imagery, and just the innocent unmalicious enthusiasm. He's stumbling around over barely knowing his daughter and is now sprinting to make up for being so absent-- and even that absence is implied to be due to chronic depression and pining, missing heaven and having to live in hell forever, not only being the one who supposedly created it by accident, but tried and failed to fix it, even having his own theme park ripped off by a deadly Sin. The show calls it out bluntly, but despite his cheery tone and, yeaaah, no, yeaaah, no" attitude, they did a great job showing that his depression manifested in detachment and disinterest. It sucks for the people it effects but it also sucks to be the one who dropped the ropes in your relationships.

So seeing him brjghtenup and glow over just helping his Charlie put her hotel together was great. He feels useful and wanted again. And imo it's a double edge sword as well if Lucy feels like he has to be useful to be a decent dad.

So, idk. I guess I do want to see how he handles trying to be in Charlie's life again, especially since, at this point Alastor knows and has supported her more than he ever has-- despite the rough beginning and the mockery. (Also Lilith's face being faded out was sus af)

I'm convinced that in Al's case it's definitely not from a genuine place, at least, we still have no reason to believe it is. He was glaring at Lucy as soon as he walked in, and the nearly every comment on how great his relationship with Charlie is was also a jab to piss off Lucy instead of a genuine expression.

A performance, in short.

Still, the fact that someone who's only just met Charlie has a better relationship with her than her father has got to suck to realize if you're the father.

Also-- the scene at the club-- I was pretty mixed about it, like, doing drugs, itself isn't bad-- it can be unhealthy and it can put others at risk if you're resigning your cognizance and self control for the sake of coping with stress-- so it can very easily enable bad things, especially if you become addicted, so,imo is pretty wreckless and definitely a vice. But it doesn't make you a bad person.

But then again angels also seem to think premarital sex and promiscuity is bad too. (Promiscuity puts you at risk for disease, and like drugs can be driven by vices, but, again, the thing itself isn't bad and can still be a healthy practice when it comes from a healthy place)

I'm genuinely proud of Angel for actually growing though, seeing him take care of Nifty and protect her from Val got me on the "Fuck em up" energy. It's always great to see a group of friends watching out for eachother when they know there's a danger to what they're doing-- ESPECIALLY when one of them is new to it all. That's why if you ARE going to do drugs or drink or whatever, definitely don't do it alone or without someone you trust with your safety.

And also never feel like you have to do those things to maintain relationships, some people feel like it would be an insult to imply they dont trust someone or just for being disinterested in their offer. And, frankly there are people who will prey on that.

That was just a great scene. It had some flaws, but was still great.

“We are Hirogaru sky precure!” Chills, what a finale. Toei pulled out all the stops in this episode. A spectacle from start to finish. Storyboarding was amazing, the insert song during the climax fight was great and all of the scenes oozed sakuga. So many screenshot worthy scenes from this.

Loved Kaiserin fully rejecting Daijarg! Then that final attack scene was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. You really felt all the girls experiences, hopes and dreams in that!

In the end everyone got the best possible ending. Kaiserin is back in the undergu empire with 3 loveable idiots as her right hand men and a friendship between skyland and undergu that will last a very long time! So cute to see her making dolls again. That laugh at the end sounded like she did as a kid. Wish her dad was still around to see her all grown up tho 😢

Back in sorashido city, the waterworks were strong in this one. After a year of being together nonstop, being in different worlds is understandably daunting. Even though they can each other whenever, it’s still not quite the same as waking up and going to sleep with someone like Mashiro and Sora did. Their “goodbye”* was so beautiful “You really are a hero, Sora. So cool and strong” that’s gotta be awesome to hear from your bestfriend! Sora really has grown into a real life super hero. She’s confronted her weaknesses time and again and always overcome them!

Wish she would’ve given Mashiro a hug during that scene instead of just the handshake though lol. She was bawling her eyes out!

Tsubasa and Ageha goodbye was cute too. Ageha just can’t stop being a teacher 😂 even in that convo she’s motivating tsubasa to achieve his goals and become a sage.

Well they stressed how they were still connected by a tunnel, wasn’t expecting to see them come back the very next day after all those emotional goodbyes lmao. But cute nonetheless. I’m glad everyone can remain connected and continue growing!

Sora is now to other little girls what the captain was to her, a shining example to follow. Really cool post credits scene.

So this was my first precure. I watched otona pre while this was airing as well so I’ve now seen two. Love this series so much. May be aimed at little girls but it doesn’t mean I, as a grown ass man can’t have fun with and appreciate it. Had a blast with this and I’m going to miss these girls so much 😢

So I went to Universal yesterday and WOO boy was that fun!!! its def more of an experience park rather than a coaster/ride park but it was still so fun to go to! I'm so happy my friend invited me and i got a toothless plushy right at the start because i fell in love with his uneven eyes. we did go into the harry potter section just because, fuck JKR shes a holocaust denier, but damn if it wasn't fun to at least walk around it and i had already paid a ticket for the park might as well experience the full thing(plus i didn't buy any merch cuz haha. fuck her) i DID try butter beer tho and...its legit just A&W cream soda lol, it wasn't bad but like '...really?all the hype for this?' not worth the 10 bucks for a single soda with cream on top lol, the two rides were fun tho and the environment was fun.

Mario World was fun too, my friend let me use her Mario game band thing to play some of the games they had(kinda bullshit they make you buy a whole ass band just to play the like-5 games they have there). the mummy was wicked fun as well! easily my fav, i didn't expect it to go backwards the way it did but it was so fun. i went on Transformerss well and that was like a 2 minute wait and that was fun, the studio tour was a blast, i got to see the jaws sequence as well-after so many years of watching YT vids on it and that was so cool, all in all, really awesome day!

Looking For Trouble

AN: Yes I know it’s late, but it’s a busy time so bear with me. This fic was so much fun to write tho! Wish I could’ve made it longer, but I have other fics to write, & there’s still 1 more peaky blinders fic this month! Thank @a-fluffer-nutter for the prompt, I had a blast planning things out! I still might flesh this out into something longer when I’m not on as big of a time crunch lol.

Thomas should've known something was up when Arthur waltzed into his office, but didn't say a word. He eyed him as he wandered about the shelves, studying all the odd knickknacks and accolades, before turning his attention back to the stack of papers in front of him.

Arthur started casually whistling a low tune, picking up a snow globe and turning it around in his hands to inspect it. Tommy watched him with a bored expression.

"Yes, can I help you?" he asked, not so subtly hinting for him to leave his office. Arthur perked up when spoken to, turning to face him.

"Not particularly, no," he said, managing to maintain his casual facade. He set the snow globe back down, strolling over to his desk with meandering steps. Thomas watched him with a careful eye while still trying to focus on the paperwork in front of him.

"Well... you're distracting me," he deadpanned, but Arthur didn't seem to get the hint. Or rather, he deliberately ignored it.

"Am I?" he asked, and there was something in his voice that should've tipped him off, but went overlooked.

"Yes. So if you have no business, I'd appreciate some peace and quiet." When Arthur still didn't leave, he gave an exaggerated sigh, "What?"

"I never said I didn't have business," Arthur said, mustache twitching with his smirk. "Never said I didn't have business." He took a step closer. "It's just not... business business." Another step. Tommy cocked a brow, leveling him with a gaze.

"Then it doesn't concern me."

"See, that's where you're wrong." He sat down on the corner of his desk, shifting and crinkling the papers scattered about. "You're the only one who can help."

That got his attention. "Help with what?" Arthur leaned across his desk, far into his personal space and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm lookin' for trouble mate," he practically growled, and only then did Thomas recognize the mischief gleaming in his eyes.

"The hell's that supposed to mean?" Before he could even scoot away from his desk, Arthur was on him, keeping him pinned to the office chair. Thomas yelped, fighting him off for as long as he could, struggling to keep his hands at bay. Arthur was quick and stronger than him, and easily slipped from his grasp. He dug into his ribs, reluctant chuckles fighting their way to the surface. He tweaked his bottom rib, earning a bark of laughter before Tommy managed to slip out of the chair.

He landed on the hardwood floor, bolting to his feet before Arthur could pin him. His eyes were wide and had a wild look to them, but his smile still lingered. He pointed a stern finger at him, “What the hell was that for?”

Arthur chuckled, a deep, gravely sound. “What? Can’t a guy tickle his grumpy ass little brother in peace?” He relished in the way his jaw dropped, a dark pink blush spreading across his cheeks. He floundered for an answer before he was composed enough to speak.

“No!”

“Agree to disagree.” Arthur stood in front of him, blocking the only exit. Thomas tried to step around him, but the taller mirrored his movements. A smile twitched on his lips, arms curling in to protect himself. All it took was a flinch to the left for Arthur to strike.

He caught him around the waist, wiggling his fingers into Tommy’s sides. A strangled choking sound escaped his throat, a tight lipped smile stretching over his face despite his best efforts to suppress it. His resolve didn’t last once Arthur went for his hips, squeezing and drilling circles over the bones.

“Y’know somethin’? You’re real easy to catch off guard when you’re working. Practically have a target painted on your back!” he said conversationally, hands crawling over Tommy’s stomach.

“Ahaharthur! Knohock ihihit ohohoff!” he scolded through his laughter, but the venom was gone from his voice.

Arthur used the new position to loom over him, a sinister grin in place. He wasted no time and latched onto both knees, sending him into howling laughter that turned to deep cackles once Arthur got ahold of his thighs.

In the midst of the mess that was his mind, Thomas couldn’t help but think he might need to launch a sneak attack of his own. Once he can breathe, of course.

okay. neil time. my official review: guys oh my god he is so good i love him so much. but much more gushing below:

im not retyping all that + setlist. he really did not speak like at all. before fuckin up (i think idr) he DID say ‘my producer died. we’re all gonna die by the way. just something to keep in mind’ which like. okay lol. and then every few songs he would say, and i quote, “hows everyone doin”. we’re doing great neil. but i respect it. anyways the man can play a hell of guitar for someone who is 78. i was just standing there being like my god. thats neil young and he is playing guitar. he’s real and he is so good. phenomenal stuff!! i can tell he was just havin fun with it lol. the horse was also very good. they were friends all having fun!! i want to be more insightful than this but literally like. he’s good guys. he did some really good solos. and i love him. good setlist 👍 losing end i feel like was surprising? but lots and lots of everybody knows which is always good. both the electric and the acoustic sets were wonderful. and i don’t know if it was the sound mixing or what but his harmonica sounded absolutely magical. i like harmonica but i have NEVER heard it that beautiful before.

this sign… i could cry. welcome back neily :) also i loved the nya village i had seen pics of it but i didn’t know what it was all about. wow the guy just loves to find his way into my envsci heart. imo it really really felt like the times contrarian come to life because it was a bunch of tables with different themes and they were giving away seeds and talking about agriculture and all that. and i loved that it was very local to toronto (/whatever city he’s in ofc). like they had local alternative magazines and their environment stuff was about here. i loved that level of care. this paper was the only thing i got there and now he lives on my bedside table :)

there was a family of goslings before the show and the moon was out and also there was a severe thunderstorm watch and the show almost got postponed but luckily it didn’t even rain so all was good. oh also its victoria day so people light fireworks and we couldn’t hear them because neil was blasting but we could see them it was nice

oh and lastly. him. typically when i take concert pictures they always suck because they make the performers look so far away even if i have good seats. and like thats true here but honestly i was so far away from the stage that he was so tiny anyways. no jumbotron which is a shame but that is par for the course from neil ‘dont even THINK about filming me’ young. i had a great time tho like i definitely saw him. he’s been playing a lot of small venues but lets remember that toronto goes ALL OUT for that old man and this was a sold out 16k seat venue so i cannot complain i literally got to attend a concert from my all time favourite old man. disbelief honestly. i love u neil!!

I was tagged by @punkinvsblogging earlier to talk about what I like to do on mental health days. Thanks for thinking of me. Okay 👏 Let's get started~

Drink cold water

Breathe deeply until I feel enough distance then organize my thoughts. And yes, sometimes that means imagining shooting my thoughts like free throws in different trash bins in my mind. Even if they manage to crawl back out like lil raccoons lol. The more ridiculous details involved the better imo

Quick movements like exercising or doing chores as fast as I can (safely ofc) usually while blasting my favorite songs

I mostly do something slower tho like take a walk outside and really focus on seeing as much as I can near and far

Love getting my hands on some thread and/or fabric. These days it's mostly counted cross stitch

Reading is a big one! I like to stack up a bunch of different types of books and get cozy in my bed. Even if I only read from one book, seeing all the books in my reading stack just makes me feel excited bc there are so many options

Journaling by hand is helpful for getting things out of my head, especially if I keep ruminating on it

If the emotions are rather intense I have burned the pages of whatever I wrote down. Safely, in an open and controlled space with plenty of water at the ready ofc

Watching the flame of a candle or a fireplace

Fidget with my rock collection. Most of them are polished so they feel similar, but the shapes and colors can vary

Going to view a source of running water like ocean waves, a larger river, or even a waterfall. The more the merrier!

Listening to something in a foreign language with the focus of celebrating everything I can understand bc I did that! I taught myself those words or that phrase! Not everyone has done that! Yay!

Finding some dish or treat that I haven't tried before and actually trying it. Bonus if you share with others that haven't tried it yet either

Go to a library or used bookstore. Bonus if it's one that is new to you, but honestly walking through huge stacks of books just feels healing to me

Walk through a thrift shop. There are always so many neat things tightly packed together and imagining who might've loved that interesting item previously is a good time. Besides, who knows? Something might have to come home with you

Splash some water on my face or hands. Playing with water just brings out the kid in me

If money isn't a concern, visiting an aquarium. Preferably one with an interactive tidepool to splash in. But still, just watching everything flow and glide around feels cozy to me

Lastly walk through a nursery... You know, full of plants and other greenery? Nature can take so many forms. Some pretty and others... certainly are interesting!

Basically trying to find a variety of new or different things to watch or interact with tangibly makes me feel more grounded. Digital things feel too empty to help me. They lack the stuff, haha 😂 I tend to be slower in pace so I might do just a couple of these in a day. Going with the flow is most important on my mental health days anyways

teya got blinked out so she uses hidden step lol. senna still fails banishment (fucker raz) and then heals herself a bit. (we spend several minutes yelling at raz to learn how to balance) some bots miss parsley. 2 of them hit! death saves, thanks raz. hes dead great. senna messages android to hurry since parsleys dead. iris can easily find invisible teya! blasted! zen avoids an attack easily. zen glows with fey magic and compels iris into a duel! punches a-go!

wheatley is still blissfully unaware. android is trying to figure out how to destroy the generator. he tells wheatley to get himself into the generator room. he grabs a multi-meter and other tools and tells android to come get him and bring him into the room. android goes and does that but the portal starts working! then stops working again cause of wheatleys espionage xD the guards still stop wheatley DX he messages android to ask what powers the generator. that corrupt red god juice probably. wheatley raises the box of tools. android just tries to drag him in. the bots let him go in!

iris is informed of unusual behavior uh oh. wheatley is looking for a good place to grasp and shock the hell out of! wheatley finds a panel and starts unscrewing and looking for wires. watch out wheatley the machine is angry! the electricity is red! shocking grasp! the glass explodes and he gets feedback! he screams while android watches horrified! the generator drops and the field fizzles and goes to emergency power. the bots have dropped but we have to still deal with iris. wheatleys gotten fried! androids not doing great. gotta call dad! he picks up wheatley and runs outside!

android rushes out looking worried and a fucking smoking wheatley and he sees parsley dead, senna is bloody, and teya is gone? iris tries to teleport away but she cant get fucked. she wants to negotiate, fuck you.

teya uses gentle repose on parsley so he stops rotting. senna revives parsley and heals him a bit. iris smashes zen with her arms then lazers him! parsley chugs a healing potion. he sees the forcefield is on reserves hmmm. tells her to get off zen and they can negotiate. android puts down wheatley, no negotiating. parsley sees wheatley and goes oh. android throws his rapier at her and it stabs her!

she recognizes android! he starts climbing her arm and slashes her! then he starts blasting her! zen resumes punching. teya used wipe and did big damage! senna uses magic missle then heals herself and parsley more. iris uses her face eye to blast android but misses both times! parsley is just sitting with wheatley and is holding him ;-; he rages and yeets his axe at iris! misses the other one tho. zen punches and leaves some dents and knocks out some eyes! the ejected eyes are gonna explode goddamn. android keeps swiping and shooting but misses most shots.

teyas spell fails. senna uses magic missle and heals parsley. iris's arms collapses and she falls to the ground! "zorbolt, i never got to see-" then she dies and the bombs blow up one of the arms. the forcefield goes down and the trees rush in! senna scoops wheatley up. the trees take iris away and begin tearing apart the building. parsley pats a tree and it gently wraps a root around him in solidarity.

the computer is still intact and theres something on it? parsley goes to investigate it. he randomly pushes a button xD he hears zorbolt! "no but she was dealt with." "who is this?!" "wouldnt you like to know?" parsley holy fuck dude. he keeps trying to get parsleys name my guy hes not telling. but he will gladly have his ;) damn he doesnt give it. "we were already enemies, zorbolt." "ah you must be working with him." "who?" he says he has something in the works and hangs up lol.

the trees have cleared a path for us. senna yells they can deal with this LATER and down the path they go. parsley tries to pick up iris's arm. zen takes out one of the eyes and puts it in the token. SP is making loud screaming noises. sunnie is holding him freaking out. parsley picks up SP poor kid. "dads. not. ok." sunnie asks senna if wheatleys dead and she snaps 'not now.' (senna is holding wheatley like a baby his head is on her shoulder.)

we get to the portal and some guards stop us cause they need to inform the queen parsleys alive. she wants to see him right now. parsley is pissed. he flies off quick. he storms in asking what she wants. it DID void the contract ahd she needs to make a new one. he just turns and leaves xD "eat my ass, lavender!" lots of back and forth bickering.

meanwhile senna has kneeled down so SP can see its dad and has her forehead against wheatleys. parsley can see us from the window. teya is just hanging with sunnie. parsley sighs in defeat and signs the contract. there IS a new detail tho. if he dies and is revived the contract is restored. dying wont get you out the contract this time. "had to make sure this time!"

SP picks up a stick and puts it in wheatleys lap. "fetch?" oh honey! the guards back off so lets get tf out of here! parsleys sibs show up to say goodbye. parsley leads us to the portal and theres his sibs! he gets hugged aww. their glad hes not dead anymore lol.

back to the mortal plane!

Hi @mysticarts! :D my brain just threw a random idea in the middle of 3 pm- (A headcannon tho.)

Idea abt my lmk oc: What if Ren planned to go to the school were Ling is studying at to cause some havoc, but instead unintentionally became a student because of this. (Note: I will sometimes switch Ren pronouns to she/They. Sorry if this gets confusing.)

It started where a mundane day Ren was left being alone in the headquarters .(yes they three built a headquarters in my hcs.)

As the gold and sliver demon brothers left with the plan there doing (Obviously failing and blasting off again like team rocket lol.) So she heads outside get some fresh air, suddenly they see a poster nearby the street light a poster that saids about certainly theater event coming soon.

Here's the thing, Ren in fact LOVES theatre/opera stuffs so immensely she would do anything just to get on a spotlight to shine, and causing mayhem to lietrally everyone after finishing so. Alas the problem is there unable going to school let alone having money to pay off for it. Nevertheless Ren had a plan:

• one is where she'll snatch enough money.

•two go somewhere to create a fake birth certificate, come up with a fake name.

•Three find a perfect disguise (that is flamboyant) to blend in with the other students.

•Four lastly is to make sure research the schools background, then find where the there room is.

Xing (Ren's now fake name) carried the plan so on and forth, now disguising as a normal human being. (Meaning she doesn't has the mask thingy in her face now.) Just imagine she's wearing one of those androgynous outfits or straight up gender envy/non binary ones- (or like the theater kid style.)

Entering the school is a piece of cake, she managed to trick the guard giving their ID stating their a skilled student from a foreign country. The guard let her in, that fool. She was about to find the classroom only to get sidetracked by hearing some music in the halls, their like "Screw this, it'll be fast, Imma go in there! >:)" Goes to the theater room.

Appears in the backstage seeing bunch of students wearing costumes, some practice their lines, some are applying makeup to their face. She guess it's a rehearsal, now deciding she'll act 'nice' asked the nervous student #1 to take her role which succeeded. As the stage is about start so Xing being the skillful actor they are, prepare on memorizing every lines and moves then heads outside of the stage to perform, boy did it shook the entire students and staff. Including the school president, Ling.

I imagine Ling is either here or just came here to watch the rehearsal. I think she would be most shocked at the same time curious on who's this skilled 'newcomer' is.

The stage eneded everyone unexpectedly applause Xing which suprises her sligthy for the first time as no ever compliment nor applause for her compassion of acting other than Yin and Jin, they bowed down thanking the audience then heads out to figure this akward emotion she felt. Unknowing Ling was about to go towards to the disguised newcomer only to be blocked by students crowding.

Bonus: Alt ending where Xing/Ren becomes a member of a drama club and started to attend school like a normal person, with being weird of course..

Ling would definitely be suprised watching Xing (Ren) do amazing acting performance. Mostly because Ling loves watching theater, but not doing it.

But here's the thing....Ling can sense power levels like her mom. So Ling has a small suspicion on Ren. But then again, other demons in disguise were going there, so Ling decided not to think much about it.

Ling would watch Xing from afar after that, seeing if she did anything suspicious. Just in case, she wants people in the school to be safe, after all.

Xing would probably already know Ling after they made some friends and overhears them talking about how 'bossy' Ling was. So Xing may or may not have a good impression of Ling

However, I am confused about Ren's age. I mean Ling is a next gen oc, so I'm guessing during the main series, Ren is still a kid, watching others and then when the next generation rolls around, Ren's a teenager-
