Word Count Goal for Today: 1710 Actual Word Count: 2970 Fic(s) Worked On: Just Out of Reach, A Mother's Curse, Ambassador to Madness, From the Pieces of Your Shattered Memories
Finished A Mother's Curse Chapter 4! Finished Ambassador to Madness Chapter 10! Finished From the Pieces of Your Shattered Memories Chapter 3! Very successful day. Crushed my word goal today which is good because I'm going to be very busy next week.
Favorite Scene Written:
(from Ambassador to Madness)
Thorin smiled at him brilliantly. “Then I can only imagine how much better the soup will be. Bring it forth, I will savor every bite.”
Bilbo felt a blush travel clear up to his ears. It was a rather shameless flirtation in the Shire to promise to clean your plate of your beloved’s cooking, and Bilbo was caught a bit off-guard. He quickly excused himself, taking a few moments to catch his breath, before bringing back the serving bowl.
“Here we are. This is a beloved Shire recipe. We call it The Green Lady’s Soup.” Bilbo dished out a ladleful into Thorin’s bowl. “I hope you enjoy!”
Thorin stared down into the bowl, his expression never wavering beyond widened eyes as he took it in. Bilbo wondered why he was hesitating before he remembered.
“Almost forgot!” He took the spoon and dipped out a small bite that he then sampled. “It was prepared by me so I didn’t foresee any foul play, but it is perfect, My Prince.”
Thorin went for a smile that came out more like a grimace as he picked up the spoon with shaky hands. He dipped himself out the smallest portion possible before shoveling it in his mouth. His face with through a comical variety of changes, ranging from disgust to joy.
“It’s certainly got a good…flavor. I’m afraid its gone cold though.”
“No, no. It’s supposed to be cold. It’s a summer soup.”
That must have been what it was. Thorin just didn’t expect the temperature.
“You do, like it though?” Bilbo asked nervously.
Thorin nodded his head even as he hesitated to take another bite.
“Say, Bilbo? Could I trouble you to bring me some ale?” Thorin asked suddenly.
Bilbo brightened. “No trouble at all! I’ll be right back.”
Bilbo couldn’t have been gone but five minutes, but he came back to find Thorin’s bowl completely empty as he patted his belly in satisfaction.
“Well that was quick!” Bilbo remarked.
“Oh, I couldn’t help myself. It was so delicious.”
“Could I interest you in seconds then?” Bilbo asked.
Thorin jumped up from his seat.
“No, no. I think I should probably get some work done tonight.” He made sure to grab Bilbo’s hands. “But this was great. I really do accept.”
A bit late on this, but better now than never! I'm going for the big one this month: 50,000 Words!
I'm going to reblog this post with my word count for the day and what projects I worked on to hold me accountable. 👍

RAINCODE COMIC COLLAB~☔️
BEHOLD THE FRUITS OF MY LABOR!!
3 full weeks of work and its finally completed!
So @kazinsblog and I did another raincode art collab together but this one was a HUGE project! This one's a full 18 page comic!
Idk if you all remember the comic idea that Kazin was planning to do that involved Yuma overworking himself until he gets sick and then gets tended to by everyone else. But when I saw it, I decided to ask her if she was willing to possibly collaborate on it, remaking it where she sketched it and I colored it.
Kazin's Beta images: 1 2 3 4
So here's the results of all that work. We've been at this since December 17th so this has been an almost full month collaboration. And of course mine's a bit more altered to my own style as well as adding my own touches and making it a little more whumpy/extreme... X'D I also freehand drew shinigami in my version as well.
Both our versions look pretty different! The only thing that are the same are the poses. So feel free to check out Kazin's traditional version as well!
Since its an 18 page comic, I decided to put it under a keep reading so it won't clutter everyone's timelines. Also, I will be narrating the pages because I love narrating sick filler type stories. So brace yourself for a VERY LOOONG post!! Def need time to read this one! (and no purple tinted filters here this time!)
Also note: If the writing is blue, it means the character is thinking, just like in the game! :)
And I apologize on the inconsistency of Yuma's bangs... I thought it was one way before so half of the comic he looks like he has square bangs... oof XD I fix it around page 10
ANYWAY, hope you enjoy this soft buffet, Raincode Community! 🌡️💕
(Page 1)
Our story begins on an ordinary day in Kanai Ward. Rainy gloomy and depressing as ever. Our little victim... wait... XD I mean protagonist Yuma decides to go out to investigate more about Kanai Ward to try to track down it's supposed ultimate secret. Yakou sets him off wishes him well and tells him to be careful. However, as he's out, he finds out a lot of people in the city need help. Because of his good nature and unable to turn down someone in need, he decides to help whoever he can. (the ultimate side-questing lol) Before he knows it, he's soaking wet and he had helped 10 people in total. Time passed and it was almost evening so he returns to the submarine. Yuma was completely unphased by this. (and he didn't dry himself off for 4 hours due to being occupied with tasks)
(Page 2)
Yuma returns to the Agency's submarine to greet his chief holding his meatbun order. (that also got wet) But Yakou notices that the trainee is sopping wet to the core and shivering. He immediately loudly demands that he sit down so he can tend to him. Yuma does as he's told and sits on the checkered sofa. Yakou rushes to the shower room to grab some small towels to help him dry off. But because Yakou is so panicked, he ends up being very rough in drying Yuma, pulling his hair and causing the small boy pain. After he dries him off, he tells Yuma he isn't allowed to leave anymore for the rest of the day and demands him to rest. Yuma tries to retaliate using puppy eyes, but it doesn't work. Yakou is immune.
(Page 3)
The next day Yuma asks Yakou if he can go out to work after he finishes his morning chores around the place looking very eager. Yakou still looks a little concerned by how tired Yuma looks, so he tells him to not go out alone. He assigns him a partner to go with the rest of the week.
On the first day he's paired with Halara. The two of them are asked to investigate the art gallery of Ginma. (maybe after the nail man case) But over time, Yuma starts developing a lingering cough that persists for quite some time. Halara asks Yuma is he's okay, to which Yuma lies saying that it's due to the dust of the room. But of course being sharp, Halara isn't buying it. But they decide to not persist him further.
On the second day, he's paired with Desuhiko. They're asked to go help out at the Aetheria Academy with another case (not murder related this time) However on the way to the school and in Ginma, Yuma starts slowing down, he's shaking and is a little wobbly. Desuhiko notices this and asks if he wants to go to the cafe for a drink. Yuma nods and as they go to the cafe and order some coffee, Yuma takes off his hat and coat and Desuhiko finally realizes how pale he looks. He's even slower at replying to him as he speaks, as if he's in a daze. Desuhiko decides to take Yuma back to the agency after this.
(Page 4)
On Day three, he's paired with Fubuki. But he doesn't even make it to the case as when he goes to the sun and moon hotel to meet with her, Fubuki notices and points out that Yuma's face looks red. The boy clearly had a fever building. Yuma argues with her but Fubuki persists. The two of them try to go to the case but Yuma nearly collapses. So Fubuki returns him to the agency.
On the fourth day where he's supposed to be paired with Vivia he spends a majority of the day passed out. Vivia decides to watch over him using his forte to not disturb him. During the night while he's asleep, his breathing gets more labored and he's completely restless. Vivia looks at him deeply worried for his dear friend's well being.
The next morning Yuma somehow finds the strength to get himself up. Maybe that one day of rest was enough. But Yakou insists that he stays put today. Angrily yelling at him to be still and take today off as well.
Meanwhile, a certain two seem to notice each other...
(Page 5)
Vivia's spirit notices Shinigami and decides to give her a warning. Make sure Yuma listens to Yakou and doesn't leave. Giving her the iciest glare, Shinigami fearfully agrees.
But this effort would be for naught, despite how he feels, Yuma's relentless determination forces himself up, putting on his rain attire and heads up the steps of the sub to the outside when Yakou isn't looking. Shinigami does what she can to stop him, but he doesn't listen...and Shinigami being a ghost, there was nothing she could do to physically hold him back. All she could do was follow, and prepare for the inevitable.
By some miracle he makes it to the church, up the stairs to speak to the nun. Who tells him to play therapy again for the townsfolk. He nods and heads to his first client. But when he returns to kamasaki to speak to him, he can barely make out what he's saying as he lets out a few more coughs.
Once he leaves the client, before long, Yuma could hear something in his body snap.
(Note: I direct most of the story, but Vivia conversing with Shinigami in spirit mode was actually Kazin's idea! So credit to her for that, So silly and fun! ^^)
(Page 6)
Yuma's body had finally reached it's limit. All the fatigue, chills and body aches had hit him all at once at full force like armed weaponry. His head began throbbing, he was shaking violently and uncontrollably, he felt nauseated by the rain's smell, and his body heat and the lingering dizziness was unbearable. He found a safe corner in the alleyway of Kamasaki to collapse. Telling Shinigami she was right and he should have listened to her, while the burning fever and cold rain wrecked his delicate frame even further. His voice was hardly audible, but Shinigami still heard and practically tells him to go back. But Yuma had no strength left...
Then like clockwork as they finish speaking, he could hear his name called. At first it sounded kind and questionable. But that rapidly changed, the voice now angrily yelling out his full name. As he looked up this voice belonged to...Yakou. He looks down at the boy in pure disappointment and anger.
Turns out a certain someone was tailing him. And alerted Yakou what happened just in time.
(Note: I make the red darker the more extreme the temperature and lighter the less extreme. I got to experiment with all sorts of new ways to color fevers hehe~ >w<)
(Page 7)
Yuma shockingly looks up at Yakou. Oh no, he was so BUSTED! Shinigami even says as much. Yakou practically scoops Yuma in his arms carrying him back to the agency. As he was lifted Yuma's world begun spinning. He could barely hear the chief nagging him in a panicked tone. It was all distorted and it was making his head hurt more. Yakou placed a hand to his cheek and was shocked by how hot it felt. All Yuma could do was apologize and hope his world stops spinning and that Yakou eventually stops yelling... (also I put numbers for the order to read the speech bubbles in)
Upon returning to the agency, Yakou dries Yuma off, asks Desuhiko to give him a warm set of clothes to borrow and put him to his own bed. Grabbing a basin of very cold water, washcloths and a digital thermometer. He placed one of the wet cold cloths under his bangs and upon reading the boy's temperature, it was high. Almost high enough to visit the ER. Yakou was even more mad, but speaks in a non yelling tone. Giving Yuma another stern warning to not leave the bed. To which Yuma weakly agrees to.
But Yakou's back to yelling again, feeling paranoid Yuma would be missing by the time he gets back from getting the supplies. So he drills that message right into the boy's already throbbing head once more. Everyone else in the office awkwardly listen in as the sick trainee gets scolded.
(Note: Just an FYI, Yuma's speech bubbles being wavy is a sign his voice is raspy and the text being a bit hard to read means his voice is hardly audible)
(Page 8)
Yakou leaves Yuma alone and walks into the office in his raincoat telling the other detectives that he'll be leaving soon and to watch over Yuma in his absence and NOT let him leave. He is so full of anger and anxiety that he yells at all of them too.
Everyone agrees and as Yakou leaves, they all discuss among themselves Yuma's state the days they were partners with him. He was in bad shape. And he only got worse as the days went by. They all knew.
(Page 9)
Meanwhile back in Yakou's quarters, Yuma was getting lectured yet again. This time by his death god partner, Shinigami. The poor trainee only wanted peace and quiet to make the pain in his head go away, using what little energy he has remaining speaking in his head he tried telling her to stop.
But the aggravated spirit persisted, saying that as his mentor she had the right to scold him just as much as Yakou. She continued her rant, until an abrupt sound from her master shut her up.
The few coughs that came from Yuma eventually erupted into a full blown coughing fit. The coughs sounding more wet, rough and serious. After coughing 10 to 15 times in a row Yuma was exhausted. Shinigami looked down at him panting with concern and pity in her eyes. She decided to stop the lecture for his sake.
After the fit, Yuma was left raggedly breathing. As Shinigami gave him her permission to rest and take it easy, he didn't answer. He couldn't. That fit completely mangled his throat. He was not able to speak vocally or in thought process anymore due to his head being in too much pain. As was the rest of his body, aching and burning. So he didn't answer her. All he could do was hope sleep would eventually take hold of him to make all this awful heat and pain stop even if for a just moment.
(Note: That's the penalty Yuma... x'D Sorry I gotta make him suffer lol. Also this is the only page that’s actually read left to right. I messed that up, sorry!!)
(Page 10)
After some time passed it was time for the Master Detectives to all take part in taking care of Yuma. The whole agency had a day off to do this. So upon his return, Yakou instructs everyone to look after Yuma in 2 hour shifts through the day. Even if it was just to watch him sleep. He couldn't be left alone.
Halara was first. Their task was to help Yuma take the medicine that was bought. There were three types of medicine for him to take. Antibiotics (white pills) for the general illness symptoms, painkillers (red and white pills) for the headache/fever, and finally...cough syrup. (aka his least favorite... XD) Halara made sure to be very gentle with Yuma propping him upward as his whole body was burning and he was very shaky. He even had trouble drinking the water, so Halara had to get a mug instead so they could help him drink it by holding the handle, and using the other hand to support his back. Despite the struggle, Halara worked diligently to complete their task as a caretaker in full. (as for who paid them to do this...idk I'll leave that to your imagination XD)
(The cough syrup idea was inspired by this fic :3)
Desuhiko had the second shift and the whole time he was waiting for his turn, he was writing a song for Yuma. Having the delusion that his angelic voice would lul the sick boy to sleep, he played his guitar and began singing. Yuma's headache did improve enough to speak in his head now, but that wouldn't last, as the loud noises from the guitar made his head pound even further with every strum. Shinigami begs for the noise to cease fire on her poor eardrums, but Yuma doesn't have it in him to stop Desuhiko. The gesture was kind so he decided to try to listen to the whole song, despite the noise. He does eventually tell him to stop though (using hand gestures) when another song comes afterward. So then the two spend their time conversing for a bit, (though desuhiko does more of the talking as yuma just nods or makes small noises/hand gestures due to his throat still hurting too much to talk) Desuhiko even telling him he could keep the sweater and shorts he had lent to him. To which Yuma softly smiles at him as a thank you before he eventually falls asleep again.
Fubuki has the third shift, and her task was to feed Yuma the warm vegetable soup that was bought earlier and that Halara had just finished making, along with Fubuki's help. She volunteers to feed him as she remembers a time she was ill as a child in the clockford mansion and one of her servants tended to her, feeding her soup just the same. Unfortunately, because this was a memory of her early childhood, she repeats similar phrases as the servant did when she was feeding Yuma, who was clearly not a small child. Yuma's fever had dropped enough to where he could find a bit of strength to try and sit up on his own now, and his once mangled throat’s condition had improved for him to speak a little bit. As he listened to Fubuki's rambling he tries to play along with her despite the whole thing being a bit embarrassing for someone his age. At least the soup was nice and warm. It felt good going down his very sore throat.
(Funny Fact: The order that Yuma is both partnered and tended to by each detective, is the same order as the chapters in game he's partnered with them LOL)
(Page 11)
It was evening, and now it was Vivia's turn to take the fourth and final shift. At first he was just going to sit and watch Yuma while he read his book quietly, but Yakou suggested that he read one of his books out loud to Yuma to help him relax better like a bedtime story. Vivia was unsure at first, as he's never read to anyone before. But he decided to give it a try. He asks Yuma what his preference in literature is before he starts, and Yuma tells him he enjoys detective novels the most. So he pulls out the novel that was in his reading list and begins to read it out loud to him. Turns out he was quite a natural at narrating, and his slow voice was very soothing. Yuma felt so relaxed that he felt like he would fall asleep any minute, but he tries to stay awake to listen to the story a bit more. Shinigami however, conks out immediately. (fyi: yes this is the novel Vivia talks about in his final gumshoe gab. I tried to make up stuff based on it.. X'D)
Once the clock strikes 9pm and night falls, the Master Detectives all wish Yuma well and leave to return to the hotel to retire for the night. It was just Yakou and Yuma now. Yakou, who had just come back from another errand, walks over to Yuma who was now fast asleep. He looked a little better so Yakou removed the towel from his forehead and places his hand onto it. It still felt warm but no longer as hot as it did hours ago. Meaning he was out of the danger zone, much to Yakou's relief. He places the towel back in the water basin wringing it out and re-applying it to his forehead. Then he lets out a yawn. He was pretty tired. He decides that instead of sleeping in the office on one of the sofas, he'd stay by Yuma's side. His removes his jacket, goes and turns off the overhead lights, sits down and places his head down on his desk. Then after telling the sleeping trainee goodnight he turns off the small light by his desk.
OKAY FUN FACT: The comic WAS going to end here going on to the final page... Buuut~ We were STARVING for some good ol' Yakou Fathero :3 So... Enjoy these bonus 6 pages of Yakou having a shift of his own to look after Yuma in the middle of the night. And its the longest shift.
This ones for you Yakou Fathero fans! Eat your fill!
(I know we sure did :3)
Also I apologize if the lighting here is inaccurate ;w; I tried my best I'm no pro LOL
(Page 12)
A little past midnight, Yuma was stirring in his sleep. Making all sorts of groaning sounds as if he was in pain. He was likely having a nightmare. This is confirmed by his eyes suddenly opening and him violently flinging himself up screaming, and the cold cloth flying off his forehead.
This sound wakes Yakou up immediately as he puts his glasses back on asking Yuma if he's okay. He flicks the light by his desk on to check on him. Yuma's found shaking with tears in his eyes stating quietly that it was just a dream. Yakou sympathizes with Yuma as fever dreams were usually not fun, but a fever NIGHTMARE was always bad. The chief offers the shaking trainee some water to try to help him settle down.
(FYI: Shinigami is going to be absent from this part of the story because I think her banter and antics would ruin the fluff, so she'll just be lurking above in the shelf like a cat the whole time.)
(Page 13)
Yuma accepts the water practically snatching it from Yakou's hands and quickly gulping it down. Yakou tells him to pace himself not wanting him to choke. Once he exhales from the water drink, Yuma sheepishly apologizes for waking Yakou up with his scream, feeling like a burden. Yakou reassures him it's okay and decides to ask him the question of why he pushed himself this far while he was still awake. Hard enough to make himself sick. Why did he do it?
Yuma was surprised by this but decides to try to tell him. He hands the water glass back and began talking. Under his raspy voice and somewhat heavy breathing, he says that he wanted to be useful as he felt like a burden to everyone since he lost his memory. He also says that he likes helping others and that it feels familiar to him. Determined to try to unlock a core memory of his past he kept doing this, even to the point of pushing his limits.
Then he suddenly stopped speaking...
(Page 14)
...aaand cue the coughing fit. Yuma's throat got scratchy and irritated after his long explanation, causing him to cough about 5/8 times in a row. Not as bad as his previous fit but it was more than enough to startle and worry Yakou.
Yakou quickly hands Yuma the water glass he had just taken from him hoping it would soothe his throat. He tells him that helping others is a good thing but he shouldn't push himself to the point that his health gets affected. Yuma quietly nods and as he sips the water still shaking, Yakou feels bad and decides to apologize to him for being harsh before. Stating that he only lost his temper because he was scared and worried for him. He also places his hand to Yuma's cheek in both comfort and to check his temperature. It felt slightly warmer than a few hours ago.
Yuma quietly apologizes to Yakou for worrying him, still holding the water glass. Yakou forgives him. Then he takes the glass from him and then the towel that fell off Yuma's forehead. He grabs a fresh one and soaks it in the basin wringing it out and places it back on the trainee’s forehead unintentionally a bit roughly. Yuma groans and shivers a little from the cold of it.
Yakou then lies Yuma back down, tucking him back in trying to make him comfortable. But his actions were a bit too comforting. He was not meaning to in any way and he wasn't sure what came over him, but he was treating Yuma like a little kid. Yuma notices and feels a little embarrassed by it, but decides to only say it in his head.
Yakou decides to do one more thing before he lets him go back to sleep.
(Note: Hey far as anyone's concerned Yuma, you are practically his BABY when you are having a sick day, so deal with it hehehe :3c)
(Page 15)
Temperature taking page time :D (my favorite, teehee! I know some cultures and in anime they take the temperature under the arm, but there's just something so endearing and adorable about a sickie with a thermometer in their mouth <3 OKAY MY RAMBLING ASIDE...)
Yakou is now a bit concerned that Yuma's fever spiked again after that little harsh coughing fit so he decides to take his temperature one more time before letting Yuma go to sleep again. Yuma obliges and goes along with it opening his mouth as the device is inserted.
After 15 seconds the device beeps and Yakou takes it out. Yuma shyly pulls the duvet up to his face and hides as he meekly asks if its any better feeling a little nervous. Yakou responds that it is better than it was the first time, where it was a dangerous degree.
However, he still wasn't out of the woods yet. The fever was still there and although it went down, it was still in the red. Yakou states that he's still feverish to which Yuma just apologizes. Poor thing just wants this to be over, he really doesn't want to trouble anyone anymore.
(sorry yuma I can't let you off that easily hehe 😈)
(also yes I put an instruction manual for how the thermometer works, I am so obsessed that I even give the thermometer lore LMAO. Sorry if I'm inaccurate in any of those readings. I used google... ^^;)
(Page 16)
Yakou places the thermometer back on the desk and tells Yuma to go to sleep. Saying the fever will likely break by morning. To which Yuma states that he's in Yakou's bed and that he should return to the checkered sofa so his boss could sleep, attempting to try getting up. But Yakou puts a hand on his shoulder stopping him and denies this and says his desk is fine and that Yuma needed the bed more than him.
He also says that if Yuma had another bad dream that he would be there for him. Yuma smiles at Yakou quietly thanking him as he's tucked back into the duvet. Yakou pats it gently telling the trainee to close his eyes.
It isn't long before Yuma is back to being fast asleep. (and shinigami too)
Yakou monologues to himself for a bit groaning at how much trouble this small detective has been for him since he showed up. But then he switches his tune and places a hand to Yuma's head petting it softly. He says he's happy he's working hard for the sake of his memories but right now he needs to work on getting better. Saying it would help everyone in the agency if he wanted to help people.
He wishes him well continuing to pet his head for a bit longer to soothe him before going back to sleep himself turning the light off again.
(Page 17)
2 hours later, Yuma was stirring and whining in his sleep once again. Yakou groggily wakes up wiping his tired eyes upon hearing the soft noises the small trainee was uttering. And he was crying again. Can only be one thing: Another nightmare.
Instead of turning the light on to wake him up, Yakou moves his chair close to him sitting at his side. Not saying a single word. (cept in his head lol) He reaches his hand for Yuma's as it twitches and he takes hold of it gently.
Yakou eventually leans on the bed as he does so and falls asleep sitting up again. Yuma's groaning and and heavy breathing begin to settle down a little as he felt Yakou's presence close by.
Then he smiles as he closes his hand in his sleep holding Yakou's hand back, leaning a bit close to it. He felt safe again... <3
(Note: This poor thing has way too much trauma... ;w; I headcanon that he's prone to night terrors on occasion, but when he gets a fever, its even WORSE. Fevers do be messing with your head... x3)
(Page 18 Final)
The next morning when Yakou wakes up, he checks on Yuma. He still felt slightly warm but he looked much better. Seemed the worst was over and it would likely last just one more day.
When he's fully awake and at his desk, Desuhiko shows up asking Yakou if Yuma's okay and offered to wake him up. Yakou denies it saying Yuma needed one more day of rest, the fever may have been only slight now, but in the rain it would rise again easily.
Desuhiko agrees and declares that he's going to work hard today. Likely to make up for Yuma's absence. Yakou teases him and the two have a bit of a banter.
Yuma meanwhile is asleep peacefully. Still having a slight red tint to his cheeks, but he's able to sleep a lot easier now. His fever was slowly but surely breaking. (now in the yellow) Shinigami sleeps beside him, making sure she protects him from any nightmares in yakou's absence. (after all only SHE can give her master nightmares)
He wakes up fully recovered the following morning thanking everyone for taking such good care of him, and he makes sure to not push himself anymore. And continues searching for the city's ultimate secret while pacing himself to help others from now on.
THE END ❤️
(I practically made this into a sickfic in its own right... XD)

⛤Chapter: 4 "Subtle" Chemistry Star court mall is always at least a little crowded. The lively hum of conversations, laughter, and distant music formed a vibrant backdrop. Storefronts beckoned with their displays of trendy fashion, electronics, and enticing sales. Shoppers meandered through the wide walkways, their bags filled with many treasures. Neon signs buzzing, the occasional sounds of a cash register, and the scent of cinnamon drifting through the air. It was just like you remembered it. You had a blast hanging out with Robin. She picked out a brand new pair of ankle length combat boots. You both decided to get ice cream and take a break from walking around. The food court wasn’t super crowded, it was the perfect place to chat. “Can I tell you something? It’s a secret so dont go telling Steve.” “Ohhhh is it secret time?” I won't tell Stevie boy, I promise.” Robin raises her right hand, “Scouts honor.” “Okay. Uhhh…well…I slept in Eddie’s bed last night. He came home from tour in the middle of the night.” Your face turns redder with every word. “Oh shit. Wow Y/N, I didn't think you had it in yah.” She chuckles and puts another spoonful of strawberry ice cream in her mouth. “We didn't do anything!” You affirm your tone a little on the defensive side. “What!? I’m just saying you guys have been madly in love with each other since sophomore year and neither of you have had the audacity to tell each other for some unspoken reason…until now. She's not wrong, Robin has always been one to spell it out for you loud and clear. She never holds back, it's something you’ve always appreciated about her. Robin has been telling you to come clean for ages now.
“Look, I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I don't want to screw up my friendship with Eddie. Also, he's like a big rockstar now, I doubt he has any time for stuff like that.” You explain as you sink into your chair. "He probably has some cool metalhead girlfriend I don't know about.” You take a bite of your vanilla ice cream. It's so fitting for this conversation, vanilla ice cream for a vanilla person.
“God it's been years and I still can’t wrap my head around your stupid self doubt.” Robin says, shaking her head. “Eddie doesn't have a girlfriend. When you left he moped around his trailer for weeks. No one could get him to come out, not even Dustin. One time I went over to his place to check on him and he was sloshed out of his mind. He told me, "The songs he sings don't mean a thing if you’re not there to hear it.”
“He didn't say that.” You scoff.
“Oh but he did, and he keeps a photo of you in his wallet.” Robin says teasingly.
“You know about that too?!” It's becoming apparent that everyone knows this except you.
“Of course I do. It's me, I know everything.” Robin says with a cocky tone.
You and Robin decide to float around the mall a little longer. A small department store was calling your name. The story had low lighting and they were playing some classic rock on the radio. Robin's goal was a pair of shoes, your goal however, was a hot outfit for tonight's party at the hideout. It honestly didn't take you long to find the cutest black skirt with chain embellishments, you picked out some new stockings too. —-------------- After the girls left Eddie felt like he could finally breathe. He finishes his coffee and breakfast, then falls backwards onto his bed. He stares at his ceiling as he finds himself lost in the intricate dance of thoughts that revolve around you. Images of you smiling genuine and heartwarming, flashed like snapshots in his imagination. Casual conversations, stolen glances, and the subtle chemistry that lingered in the air when you were near. The anticipation of his next encounter with you and the sweet nervousness that comes with it. The soft glow of the afternoon sun is casting a warm hue across his room. Steve and Dustin went grocery shopping, the apartment was silent. Eddie pulls himself out of his thoughts and shakes them off. He grabs a pre-rolled joint and lights it, Eddie is nervous and he knows it. All these years and he still can't tell you the truth. His life has changed so drastically for the better ever since he signed that record deal. But there was always something missing, something he was holding out for. Of course many girls are interested in him, but he's not interested in many girls. He promised himself after you left that next time he sees you, he is gonna tell you. If he misses this opportunity, he might lose you entirely. He almost completely gave up on you after a year of no contact. But every time he opened his wallet, he saw a glimpse of your face, he couldn't bring himself to get rid of you or the photo. Eddie puffs on his joint, each inhale making him a little less anxious. He tries to think about something else. It will be nice to hang out at the hideout again. That was where he played his very first gigs when the band was just starting out. They barely had any attendees and the band definitely sounded rough. Then Eddie recalls you being there for every single show. Your smiling face in the crowd, cheering him on after every song. “Uhgg, get it together, man.” He says under his breath. He finishes his joint and decides to get dressed. —--------------- When you returned with Robin, Steve was putting away the last of the groceries. “We’re back!” Robin announces. Dustin is reading on the couch, when you look down the hall, Eddie’s bedroom door is open. “Welcome back, we will head to the bar when I finish this. I also need to get dressed. Eddie is out, said something about dropping off some equipment with Gareth. He’s gonna meet us there.” Steve says. Honestly, you were a little bummed. You were hoping he’d be around when you got back. But you shrug it off and take your stuff to his room. Robin follows you and shuts the door behind her. You both change into something a bit more stylish. You had a cropped Def Leppard shirt that you paired with the new skirt. This outfit would go well with boots and stockings. Robin didn't change anything really, just her shirt and shoes. You put on a couple of layered chain necklaces, a few rings, and a pair of small silver hoop earrings. “I am astonished really.” Robin says with a smile as she looks you up and down. You tilt your head in response and she laughs. “Eddie is gonna have a full on heart attack when he sees you.” Your face feels a little hot and you laugh nervously. “Do you think so?” “Oh yeah. No doubt.” She smirks. “Someones lookin’ to get lucky.” “Shut up!” You place your hand over her mouth. She does the unthinkable licks the palm of your hand. You give her this horrified face followed by both of you hysterically laughing like a couple of hyenas. ---------------
The sun was setting and the sky grew darker with every passing minute. There is a chill in the air, which makes you shiver when you open the door. Steve drove to the hideout, it wasn’t far, maybe ten minutes away. When Steve pulled into the parking lot, you looked out the window and saw Eddie’s van. He’s already here, and you start to feel a bit anxious. The Hideout had not changed a bit. The neon signs in the window buzzed as you walked inside. Posters, fliers, and rustic decor filled the walls. You hear the low hum of chatter and the clinking of glasses, the place has a warm glow to it. You used to watch Eddie play here all the time. It felt like your heart was swelling, it's that bittersweet feeling again. You turn the corner and see Eddie and Gareth sitting in a booth. Eddie waves and one by one you all walk over and pile into the same booth. You sit across from Eddie, you can see his face getting a little red. “You uh…look really good, Y/N.” Eddie says with a half smile. He reaches over and adjusts one of your chain necklaces. Robin sees this and covers her mouth, trying not to laugh at how embarrassed you are. But you had to pull all that on hold for now. Nancy and Johnathan walk up and greet the group. You practically climb over Robin and wrap Nancy in a tight hug. “Oh! Y/N? You’re here?! When did you get into town?!” She hugs you back just as hard. “The other day! It's so good to see you, Nance.” Nancy smiles and fights back tears, she didn't expect any kind of reunion. The thing is, You both grew up together. Your mom was friends with Mrs. Wheeler. You spent a lot of your childhood with Nancy and her brother Mike. When you left, Nancy thought she lost you to the city for good. “Don’t cry! I’m sorry I’ve been gone for so long.” “They are happy tears, it’s fine. I’m just so happy to see you.” Everyone in the group is touched to see two best friends reunite. Robin looks like she might start crying too. You give Jonathan a hug as well, It's nice to see him doing well. He wasn't always full of smiles and you’ve wondered how he's been over the years. You remember Jonathan used to take photos of the gang, half of the polaroids you have were probably taken by him. A bartender comes by and takes our order. Eddie ordered whiskey and so did you. Vodka soda for Nancy and Robin, Steve and Jonathan order beers. The clinking of glasses, the occasional burst of laughter, and the subtle hum of the other patrons deep in conversation created a soundtrack to this shared experience. You updated your friends on your new life, and once again apologized for being an awful friend. Everyone was so happy to see you that it didn't matter anymore. “You better not leave and go back to ignoring us.” Robin says. --------------------

Everyone was so happy to see you that it didn't matter anymore. “You better not leave and go back to ignoring us.” Robin says.
“I wouldn’t even dream of it.” You reply.Hours slipped away unnoticed as the night unfolded, a mosaic of laughter, camaraderie, and the shared appreciation of the moment. Eddie could help but sneak glances at you, it was hard not to. He’s been trying to keep his cool all night, he had several shots of whiskey to build up some liquid courage. The world outside the café window dimmed as everyone delved into stories and life updates.
Eddie hands you his pack of cigarettes, silently asking if you’d like to go outside with him. You take one and place it between your lips. You and Eddie excuse yourselves from the group and head outside, the cold air sent a shiver up your spine.
“Brr! I forgot how cold it is when the sun goes down. I should have brought a coat.” You offhandedly say as Eddie lights your cigarette for you. Eddie removes his leather jacket, leaving him with a thick black hoodie. He drapes it around your shoulders and you are immediately much more comfortable. Your face gets a little red, he’s always been such a gentleman. You both lean up against Eddie's van. His thoughts are a symphony of emotions, dancing between hope and uncertainty. The evening was filled with a serene ambiance, and even in the quiet moments, you still felt comfort in his presence. “Y/N…” Eddie finally pipes up. “Yeah?” “I think we should talk. Y’know…about where we stand with each other.” Eddie admits. Your eyes widen, this is finally happening. The anxiety sets in and you try to swallow your nerves. Eddie stands in front of you, looking at his feet. “Do you remember, right before you left, that time we got high in my van next to lovers lake?” “Yeah. I do.” You answer quietly. “Do you remember me telling you that no one could ever replace you in my life?” He asks and you nod. You remember it like it was yesterday. It was a sunny day, the light glistening along the top of the water. You and Eddie passed a joint back and forth. You gave him a small wallet sized photo from picture day. “I still have that photo, I keep it in my wallet. You told me to keep it as a reminder, so I don't forget you. The thing is, meeting you was like finding my favorite song in a world full of noise, and I can't stop hitting replay no matter how many times I hear it.” Eddie takes a deep breath. It's like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders. You were stunned, absolutely speechless. In that moment, the unspoken became words, there was no going back now. Eddie moves a few inches closer, pinning you between himself and van. Under the glow from a nearby streetlamp, the air was charged with tension. You met his gaze with a gentle smile. Without another word, Eddie cupped your face in his hands. Time seemed to slow down as Eddie leaned in and pressed his lips against yours. You kiss him back, It spoke volumes with no words at all. Eddie presses his body against yours and you wrap your arms around his neck to bring him closer. You can't stop shaking, your nerves combined with the cold air made it impossible to be completely still. Eddie finally breaks away from you and opens the back doors to his van. “Hop in, you’re freezing to death.” Eddie says, you take his hand as he helps you into the van then he climbs in after you and shuts the door. You take a seat on an upside down milk crate while Eddie starts the car and cranks the heat. You still can't believe what just happened, you’ve only ever dreamed of this moment. Eddie grabs his acoustic guitar and sits on top of a large amp. He took a deep breath, fingers gently caressing the strings of the guitar, and he started to strum. “I feel so stupid for leaving you alone out here.” You say while looking down at your hands. “If anyone deserves an apology it’s you. I just assumed you moved on and didn’t need any reminders.” “Don’t worry your pretty little head, I forgive you.” He chuckles. “Besides, they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?” You recognize the tune he's playing, you’ve heard it before. “What song is this?” You ask, it's so familiar. “Photograph by Def Leppard.” He answers with a half smile and you smile back at him, your eyes widen as you recall the lyrics. He played this song for you before, but you ant remember how long ago.
“Y’know, I still haven't figured out how to sit across from you and not be madly in love with everything you do.” You reply, hearing him play was actually really calming, you’ve missed this side of him. The guitar became an extension of his feelings, his voice carrying a sweetness to it, like warm honey. ♫“I see your face every time I dream
On every page, every magazine
So wild and free,
So far from me
You're all I want, my fantasy
Oh, look what you've done to this rock 'n' roll clown
Oh-oh, look what you've done
Photograph~
I don't want your photograph
I don't need your photograph
All I've got is a photograph
But it's not enough”♫ As the last chord resonated. Eddie sets the guitar against the wall of the van. You spring into his arms, tears stinging the corners of your eyes. You bury your face in his shoulder, you didn't expect to get so emotional. You’re so happy but you still feel so guilty, you question why anyone would leave this feeling behind.
Eddie pulls you into his lap. “Are you crying?! Oh shit, no don’t cry…”Eddie squeezes you a little tighter. “Shhh…it's okay, sweetheart.”
You took a deep breath, “I love you, Eddie.” The words spilled out. “I love you too. I’ve always loved you.” Eddie says, when you look back at him he smiles and brushes a few strands of hair away from your face. “Do you want to go back to mine?” He asks, it's like he read your mind. You nod in response and Eddie chuckles. “Let's get out of here.”

Hi gorg! Hope You are doing okey... Really love You Logan Stories, i was wondering if you could make a story with this idea;
it would be like a next part or smt of "Drunk Words, Sober Thoughts" where Wade, Y/N and Logan are watching the Kardashians while having dinner on a friday night, Logan still can't believe Wade and Y/N like it, and like reader explain to Logan why they are famous and that Kim K did a s*x tape before the show realesed, Wade makes a silly comment to reader like "you has a big ass and def could be a Kardashian" after that when Logan and reader are alone for some reason they feel like it to make a s*x tape and do it. Of course it's a forbidden secret that won't leave their months and have to be extremely careful of Wade not finding it (ngl he would def watch it if he finds it lol)
Hope you have a great night/evenning/day 🌷✨🩷

Summer 2024 Watchlist
It is officially summer which means I am out of school and have time to just sit !!! watch !!! and do nothing !!!
which means - here's my drama watchlist & my thoughts on everything so far:
Dare to Love Me - i started this yesterday and let me j say I flew through those 2 episodes. I decided to brave the comments on MDL to see what people were saying, and then i ignored them LOL because yeah. this show is highkey silly goofy but i love it! the FL is endearing to me and i hate how nowadays every woman has to be Strong and Confident to be loveable and it's like - no. i love the fact that she gets choked up, that she tries and fails, that she is mad clumsy, that she's clearly talented but has been burdened by lack of self-esteem like yes!!! she's human i love it give me MORE. and don't get me started on the ML. i love him - i love THEM your honor. currently at a 9.0 rating for me, we'll see if it keeps up.
Dating in the Kitchen - this has a 8.0 rating for me and i want to keep going (i only watched 1 episode and it's been two weeks since then) because i watched This Isn't What I expected THREE (3!!) times and i LOVE that movie and when I saw there was a drama based on it, i wanted to give it a go but i am STRUGGLINGGGG. imma keep it pushing because, look. i watched the movie 3 times. it's def worth it. (maybe)
Fight for My Way - this has a 9.5 rating rn, and i am stuck in the middle of episode 15. i have been stuck on the middle of episode 15 for a HOT minute. my interest in this show dropped like crazy, i am trying to hold on.
Good Morning Call - my roommate for two years (and sadly no more a ha ha) recommended this show to me and we watched the first episode together and it was cute! i liked it, so it's on my list. currently has a 8.5 rating, but it's low on my priorities (when it comes to dramas), so im gonna pirate it whenever i have time💀
Lovely Runner - don't even talk to me about this show if you want a short conversation - I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW BRO. look at my tumblr, it's all lovely runner rn and I HAVE NO REGRETS. 9.5 rating - won't get a 10 because it ENDS SOON. this is my type of show, i LOVE this type of show the cinematography and everything IM EATING IT UP. it got me out of my drama funk its so nfjsdfhdsifsd
The Midnight Romance in Hagwon: let me just say! i watched this yesterday and i flew by the two episodes. lovely runner x tmrih on my tumblr? yes. this show is a much slower-pace show and I LOVE IT. YEs! Give me real life, give me real conversations! I love this show, i love the micro-expressions, i love the fact that WHJ is the MAIN LEAD FOR ONCE LIKE YES SIR, GIVE ME ALL THE BUTTERFLIES and i've never seen this actress before JRW but she is absolutely gorgeous and i love the FL! these people are not acting, they ARE the characters and im so !!!!! 9.0 rating because i skip the intro every time (sorry)
Will Love in Spring - this is on pause on episode 15 because the ending actually has me severely messed up rn. i have been in love with li xian's acting since gogosquid and i absolutely adore chen mai dong. i adore the way zhuang jie says his name ALL the time like she can't help it. I adore zhuang jie and just the way she operates through life - she's so clearly flawed when it comes to romantic love, but she is so clearly filled with love and always tries her best and !!! zhou yu tong is eating her character up rn, i've never seen her act and this was such a good intro to her BUT WHAT ZHUANG JIE SAID TO MY BOY IN EPISODE 15????? locked up. i have never felt so disrespected in my life and i had to give it a pause because i know she's gonna apologize but i needed that on the train. not the next episode. actually, not even on the train!! IN THE STREET BEFORE HE DROVE OFF AFTER DRIVING HER HOME AFTER SHE ACCUSED HIM OF FORCING HER!!!! That's when she should have apologized, but fidjofdshifudsf i love her so much i know why she couldn't IM JUST IN AGONY RN. anyways, let me breathe lol cause the way i was holding my breathe writing that is,,,,,. yeah. has an 8.5 rating rn, will probably go up to 9.5 because the fact that i actually had to stop watching because of emotional damage is crazy.
thats my list (and crazy descriptions, so sorry) that i'm watching rn! i would 10/10 recommend these to everybody (except dating in the kitchen im highkey struggling)! if you guys have any recs based on what i shared or wanna be friends on MDL j let me know :)

I tried to scan the main ol' crazy eyes Joe picture but he was too big to properly fit in the scanner so this is the best I could do
Text below the cut
BRINGING UP BABY
Joe Elliott doesn't want children - he's got enough on his hands nursing a billion dollar baby called Def Leppard. Mat Snow hears why arguably the world's most successful rock 'n' roll band can still stroll down the street without being recognised. Pictures by Peter Anderson
BY THE time you read this, you'll know something that was on the cards a couple of weeks ago but by no means a dead cert.
That is whether the British Phonographic Institute, in all its majesty and wisdom, opened an envelope at the black tie, gala dinner and announced that the award for Rockin' Pneumonia, Boogie-Woogie Flu And All-Round Fabness goes not to Brother Beyond, Yazz, nor even Bros, but to a bunch of blokes who won't see 25 again and who play guitars, drums and stuff often quite loud.
Yes, you will know now what Def Leppard's Joe Elliott and I didn't know then whether there will be a BPI BRITS Award for Best British Band decorating his parents' mantelpiece.
"Def Leppard winning anything is hilarious," he chuckles. "It's nice to be nominated, but we're never going to win anything. We're a stick-in-the- mud heavy metal band - Long 'air and jeans: we can't vote for them, can we?"
JOE ELLIOTT is in mellow mood. After nearly three months off, following the highly lucrative but tiring 14-month Hysteria tour, he at last has time to chew the fat back home in a beautiful bay just outside Dublin, where he is spending his 'year out' of the UK for tax reasons.
Unlike the other four Leps, who get itchy after only three weeks off the road, Joe needs the time to lounge around, catch up with his listening and watch a few videos.
"I've been revelling in the fact that I've been able to get a sore throat and it doesn't matter!"
A week in the sun apart, Joe has not been neglecting his career as the mouthpiece of arguably the most commercially successful rock 'n' roll band in the world today.
There will be rehearsals for the new album. (Robert 'Mutt' Lange, the so-called 'sixth Lep', will not be producing). Hopes are high that it might be in the shops sooner than 1991, given that their two previous albums, 'Pyromania' and 'Hysteria', have been beaten only by Michael Jackson in terms of how long we've had to wait between releases - and how many copies we've gone out and bought. But, right now, Joe has the luxury of reflecting on his place in the scheme of things.
It seems that what he ultimately craves is to be recognised as one of the true rock greats, on a par with the people who turned him on in the first place, back when he was a soccer- crazy, only child growing up in Sheffield, when he was a bored youth maintaining stocks of grinding wheels and oil rags for Osborne Mushet Tools.
Back then, people like Alice Cooper, Jethro Tull, T Rex and, especially, Mott The Hoople kept him sane. Def Leppard's record company, Phonogram, have signed Ian Hunter and it's the best news Joe's had all year.
His list of heroes includes just about everybody who made a raucous noise in the '70s his years of yearning to escape the humdrum world of work and home. That need is still Joe's guiding force so he won't be taking a cue from his friend Jon Bon Jovi's 'New Jersey' and calling his next album 'South Yorkshire'. "Can you imagine it?" he guffaws.
"Ian Hunter summed it up brilliantly in his book Diary Of A Rock 'N' Roll Star - 'I left my heart in Watford?' How can you sing about Scunthorpe or Huddersfield?
"Let's face it, everybody would say, Fair play for doing it - but they'd laugh at it whether they were fans, journalists or friends. I remember when Saxon had this song called 'Northern Lady', and it just stank. Leave it out! Jesus Christ! Flat caps and Yorkshire pudding is the impression people get, even though we all know it's not like that. "They don't all keep pigeons, which is what a lot of people south of Nottingham seem to think. There's no romance, no beaches in Sheffield. A car chase in San Francisco is always going to look better than one through Hackney. But then they could never have Sherlock Holmes in America. It's a different world.
"I'd sooner go for the British approach, which is totally ambiguous: it doesn't say anything, it doesn't mean anything," Joe goes on. "I can't even describe what half the bloody songs are about; they just sound alright. You are what you listen to. You explain what T Rex's lyrics are about. If you can figure his out, then you can figure mine out. 'Hub-cap diamond star halo' means more to me than 'I went down to the river', I'm afraid. People can relate to that Springsteeny thing but, to me, T Rex made your imagination work harder.
"If I wrote from experience, I don't think it would sound very good me singing about the last five-a-side soccer game I had.
"Whenever I sing about women, it's always invented," says Joe, rebutting the charge of sexism which, in fact, I hadn't levelled at him.
"Who's to say that the honkytonk woman ever existed? It could have been a complete figment of Jagger's imagination. I used to write from personal experience don't think I never have.
"On the second album, we wrote about all sorts of stories; Steve (Clark) once hijacked a taxi in Paris and tried to write a song about it. But it just sounded like a piece of shit, so we scrapped it, rewrote the lyrics, made them up, and it was a lot better."
SO, IF not 'South Yorkshire', S perhaps 'Catatonia'? 'Schizophrenia' (a double- album)? Or (Bob Geldof's suggestion) 'Paranoia'? Another psychological disorder, surely?
"Probably," reckons Joe. "It was a complete coincidence, the last two. 'Hysteria' was an idea Rick (Allen) came up with. It was after all the stuff with his accident. The first time we ever seriously experienced it was on the '83 tour, and it got pretty close to it two days after his accident - the reception area of the hospital was teeming with newspaper reporters and kids. And, because we weren't all that popular in England at the time, it made it appear more massive. Rick was on the front page of the Daily Star - and there were all these journalists, like Rick was The Queen or lan Botham. We had to be snuck in through the f***in' laundry chute to go and see him! "I always imagine that Fish - and I'm not knocking the guy - has everything worked out in advance: This is the album title, here's the sleeve - now let's go write the music. The last thing we have is the album title; we panic so much. "Hysteria' was going to be called 'Animal Instincts' at one stage: then we thought that sounded really stupid. We had the sleeve ready, so that was four grand down the drain. It just wasn't right - so we used it for the book instead."
Having repeated, even exceeded, the success of the hard-to-match 'Pyromania' album with 'Hysteria', Joe has found that the way to cope with sky-high expectations is to ignore them.
"I have no doubts about the next album," he declares. "I'm not 100 per cent sure that it'll be as big as the last one, though it may be a better record. Much of it is down to timing. I don't believe success should be based on sales. But everywhere you look it's figures, figures, figures.
"Success should be judged on the sound of the bloody thing. I'm not worried about it. We'll make a record and put it out, and it'll do whatever it does."
What about the live act? "We've had a few approaches from the States to go back and do some shows this summer. Believe it or not, 'Hysteria"s gone back up in America the album's doing better now than when we were out there. It's been 'Top Five in three different years - '87, 88 and now '89.
"Anyway, I was talking to Adam Clayton about it the other day, and he said, You've got to be careful because where do you go from stadiums? What do you do go back to clubs? "That's why we have managers. We have opinions, but we don't have our finger on the pulse like they do. We're too busy trying to sing in tune, play the songs and look cool like a pop band is supposed to do and still keep an eye open so you don't get ripped off. But you can't be a master of all trades.
"When does a spectacle become untoppable? It doesn't. You do a gig on the moon and put the PA on Pluto... Satellite gigs? Hologram gigs? Put the audience in the middle and us outside!"
ON TOUR, the Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses and Love And Rockets albums never left cassette deck. Back home, the Irish magazine Fresh has asked Joe for a fan's-eye view of the new releases.
"I played the Lou Reed album ten times and, in my opinion, it ain't 'Transformer', it ain't 'Sally Can't Dance', it's not 'Coney Island Baby' and it's definitely not 'Berlin'. Every song's about f***ing New York! All about some guy with needles in his arms! "But I grew up with 'Transformer', which came out when I was 12. And 'Berlin' was really depressing but great to listen to in the bath. The new one sounds like demos, which has a sort of charm, but some of it's a bit weird. That song, 'Last Great American Whale' I can't make my mind up whether it's a piece of shit or it's genius. He just talks it he makes Mark Knopfler sound like the guy out of Foreigner. Very strange."
Fine Young Cannibals' "The Raw And The Cooked' gets short shrift from Joe: "I'll never forgive them for slaughtering the Buzzcocks". As for Blondie's remix album, 'Once More Into The Bleach', it's "awful".
The new Supremes compilation is another matter: "F***ing brilliant," Joe raves. "To hear 'Nathan Jones' the way I remember it, not the way f***ing Bananarama slaughtered it. I got my first snog to that song, under the stairs at the Top Rank in Sheffield in 1971, Saturday morning youth club."
Joe advises me to check out The Hooters and The Quireboys; I recommend The Replacements - right up his street. But Joe (29) is of an age to get his real kicks from the stars of yesteryear.
"I've met Jagger at the studio. He was great he kept stealing our f***ing newspapers! Have you got the Daily Mirror? I want to do the crossword.
"Robert Plant came to see us in Chicago. He was great. When we played in the round we used to go on in laundry baskets. His tour manager bet him ten dollars he wouldn't push one out. So he put a hat on, pair of shades, stuffed his tour jacket full of jumpers to make him look fat, and pushed it out to the middle of the stage, right through the audience! "It's funny because he's a Leo as well, and Jagger. All frontmen are Leos," Joe muses. "Those detailed analyses of your star sign tell you things you often don't like to hear. 'Capable of being childish' - I suppose I am. 'Always has to be the centre of attention' well, when it suits me. "Sometimes I just like to bury myself, but that's what my gig is, that's what everybody wants: a big, loud, bloody... you know. "But Jagger's the best; he's got the lips of an elephant on the body of a dwarf. Brilliant. The ultimate frontmen are those you can caricature in cartoons - Jagger, Steve Tyler, Rod Stewart, Bowie, Townshend, Meat Loaf, Alice Cooper... You couldn't really draw me but it doesn't seem to have hindered our success.
"To be honest, once you're as big as we are and you don't have those sort of features, it's nice. I don't have to send the maid out to buy the News Of The World. I can walk down Oxford Street."
So what is the secret of Def Leppard's success?
"Most people in bands have got families, and maybe that's the reason we have the success we have: nobody's married or got kids," reasons Joe.
"I can't see Phil (Collen) starting a family when he hasn't even got a home. And I definitely have no desire to be a father.
"The only times I've ever thought about it have been provoked by TV documentaries like World In Action. I seriously think I would rather adopt an eight-year-old Brazilian kid and give it a real good start in life.
"There's enough kids without me bringing another one into the world. And to be quite honest, after my mumps I don't know if I can!
"I can miss out the nappy stage, which I'd detest. And I don't like the idea of a nanny bringing the kid up because you might as well not bother; you might as well buy one. "I don't want a kid; the band's too much of a bloody baby!"

ok but lets talk about how mick would absolutely learn how to take care of hamilton!reader's hair
this man already sorts hamilton!reader's rice for her so its not far off that he would learn another way to take care of her
i think he also does it because he wants to know how to take care of their potential kids hair if they get hamilton!reader's curly hair
FAMILY HAIR DAY
MICK, HAMILTON!READER, AND THEIR LITTLE TODDLER
AND TODDLER SCHUMACHER-HAMILTON IS GETTING THEIR HAIR DONE BY ONE PARENT ON EACH SIDE OF THEIR HEAD
or
pre-shumacher-hamilton kids: lewis and mick doing the back of hamilton!readers hair while hamliton!reader works on the front
ok imma stop there
(i think the sickness has gotten to my head because i went on about schumacher-hamilton babies, im going to go cough up my lungs now)
☕
every time I reread the rice scene my heart goes kjdgdsfjiodhjdskjhkdsjg
the way he's obsessed with her I would bet the thoughts about their kids' hair would come later on. It would start when they got to spend more time together, he would watch attentively her hair routine, what she did before and after bed, how she washed her hair, and so on. Mick finds it therapeutic to watch her go around each step, he'll ask her questions here and there, to which she'll explain, and some time into the relationship she'll ask for him to do some of those, such as wash her hair, or help her detangle it. And I just know homeboy will be all happy she's trusting him and they're sharing yet another moment, he'll def open YouTube and start watching tutorials on how to braid, and some details that he may have let slip and he doesn't wanna keep asking her. Next thing hamilton!reader knows Mick has half of her products in his apartment because "I saw it online and well, I just wanted to save you the trouble of always bringing and taking your bottles of hair product..." and she won't tease him about it because she too got some of his stuff for her house (THIS REMINDS ME OF THAT SCENARIO YOU SENT ME FOR AN EXTRA KJSDKJGDSG) anyways, they'll end up having spa days before or after racing weeks, whenever they can, and their schedules let them, and it'll go from hair care to skincare. And when they're all fresh and smelling as good as ever, they'll lie together either in bed or on the couch, turn on their playlist, and take a nap (you can bet Lewis will pretend to be jealous about this new tradition because you two too have your hair care day every month or whenever you find a free time in your schedules).
TODDLER!HAMILTON-SCHUMACHER DKGJSKGJSDG I AM CRYINGGG THIS SCENARIO WOULD BE SO CUTE!!!!!
Mick's phone would be full of braiding tutorials and pics because his kid would definitely ask for some new types and he wants to do it too, they'll definitely create some kind of tradition where they'll braid their baby girl's hair, and then hamilton!reader's hair too. Lots of snacks, giggles, and music while they're going about it.
After the rice situation Lewis wouldn't even be surprised Mick knew how to braid hair kfjskgjsdgkj
i think the sickness has gotten to my head because i went on about schumacher-hamilton babies, im going to go cough up my lungs now/// BESTIE I LOVED IT AKGJSKDGJSK ily <3 take care!!

Sondam Week 2024, Day 5
Here's my Day 5 submission for the prompt Sleepy! It's a fluffier entry, but that def won't last for long :)
As always, you can read on AO3 here! Enjoy!
Despite the uncomfortable mattress at the motel, despite the chill in the air that pierced her bones, despite the knowledge she was the Despair Killer’s next target, Sonia crashed the second her head hit the pillow.
She awoke bathed in sunlight streaming through the motel’s thin curtains. She tried to forget what she learned last night, wishing to cling to the warm peace, but her fear was not so easily dodged.
With a sigh, she got up and trudged to the bathroom. It was her custom to shower in the morning, but Gundham had only packed so much for her. This wasn’t the kind of place that gave out travel-size shampoo for free, so she’d have to wait until the police finished processing her apartment.
She brushed her teeth, combed her hair, and put on yesterday’s clothes. She’d just pulled her hair into a ponytail when someone knocked on her door. She knew it had to be an ally; two police officers sat in a car in the parking lot all night with their lights off, watching her door out of their rearview mirror. They’d never let anyone except one of their own get so close.
She walked over, limping heavily on her left leg, and opened the door. Gundham was waiting on the other side, tall enough to blot out the sunlight. “Good morrow, Sonia,” he began. “How are you feeling?”
“Fine, or whatever ‘fine’ is for police custody.” Her stomach grumbled. “And hungry.”
“They’ve almost finished examining your residence. If you’d like, you can prepare a list of items you’d like us to bring to you for your stay here.”
She frowned. “Why can’t I pack for myself?”
“Because we must keep your location strictly confidential.” His voice was firm. “If your pursuer sees you return to your home, they will be able to follow you to this safehouse.”
Her stomach lurched. Suddenly, she wasn’t hungry anymore. “You think they’re watching my house, even with all the police there?”
“We cannot take any chances. But if the police handle it, we’re able to sneak your belongings out as evidence, and then discreetly bring them to you.”
“Can’t I go back to my own home? If I’m going to have police guarding my door, does it really matter which door?”
“I’m afraid it does,” he replied. “The longer it takes the killer to find you, the better we can protect you.”
She felt childlike impulses erupt within her: she just wanted to go home, where she could be safe and warm, where she could block out all the evil in the world. But evil had already invaded her home, so this motel room, with its thin curtains and creaking bed, were all she had anymore. “Fine.”
“I am sorry, Sonia.” He stepped in and closed the door behind him. “I am afraid this is how it has to be, but it will not be this way for long.”
Something resonated in his warm, deep voice that made her believe him. “Thank you. I’m sorry, Gundham.”
“There is no need for apologies,” he said gently. “You had all your comforts ripped away in one night. Of course you have gratitude for escaping with your life, but that does not negate what you miss. That loss will hopefully be finite, but I wish to do what I can to mitigate it.”
It was at that moment her stomach grumbled again. “I wonder,” he continued, “if I may also help by bringing you breakfast.”
She smiled, and was relieved to find she could smile again. “I’d appreciate that.”
She had asked for a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich from the nearest Dunkin. Nothing extravagant, though what she craved was a warm waffle breakfast at Teruteru’s Diner, but that wouldn’t keep in a Styrofoam container for a twenty-minute drive.
Gundham wasn’t gone for long. When he returned, he held two bags in one hand and a cardboard tray with two coffees in the other.
“I am afraid you have excellent taste.” He smiled sheepishly, setting the bags on the table. “Temptation pierced my defenses. I ordered the same for myself.”
She chuckled as she opened the bag. The savory scent of her breakfast sandwich made her stomach grumble again as she sat down at the tiny table. Gundham picked up the second bag and made for the door, but she asked, “Please, can you eat with me? I’m going a little crazy in here alone.”
His face lit up. “By your leave, my lady.”
He pulled back the chair and sat at the table, barely big enough for one person, let alone two. She took a big, unladylike bite of her sandwich and immediately felt better, and she chased the high with a sip of the coffee made exactly how she liked it.
They ate in silence for a while. Sonia hated silence more and more, but it was bearable when chewing sounds filled the air and a nice, greasy breakfast filled her stomach. Last night, he had kissed her bandages while helping her. The whole thing had a fantastical flair to it, like the prince kneeling before Cinderella with the glass slipper. But now, she found she liked it much better when they were on the same level. She wasn’t a damsel anymore; she was the master of her fate.
As they slowed down, Gundham suddenly perked up his head and said, “I wonder if I may ask you something.
“About the break-in?” What was left for him to ask?
“No.” He sighed. “It’s about Miss Ibuki Mioda.”
A familiar but gouging weight returned to her. Her grief for Kazuichi had allowed her to forget her grief for Ibuki, for which she was bizarrely, and maybe shamefully, grateful. “What about her?”
“Did she ever mention a fear of water to you? Or perhaps of drowning?”
“Yes.” The horrible irony had struck her as soon as she heard the news. “Her family went to the beach when she was a little girl, where she got sucked into a riptide. She didn’t get hurt, but it was a bad scare, and she’s been afraid of water ever since.”
A connection lit up in her brain suddenly, like a long strand of Christmas tree lights when you plug them in. “And Kazuichi said the same thing about the hydraulic lift!”
“I remember. You shared such a thing with me at the scene.” He paused, his brow creasing. “Sonia, we have reason to believe the killer is targeting people based on their fears.”
Her stomach turned, and suddenly her breakfast sat inside it like lead. “What do you mean?”
He glanced at the door and then the window, and then turned back to her. “When you shared Mister Soda’s fears with me at the scene, I remembered Miss Mioda’s parents saying something similar about their daughter regarding swimming. That connection was enough, so I reached out to Nekomaru Nidai’s family, who told me he had a phobia of fire. Do you know if that is true?”
Now she felt a peculiar whooshing sensation in her chest, like she was falling from a great height. It wasn’t all fear; she felt thrilled, too, and like she was chasing something. “That’s the coach, right? I remember awhile back there was a scandal because he refused to come to a school fundraiser, and the event the school was hosting for it was a bonfire.”
“And he’s the one who was burned to death,” Gundham reminded her needlessly. “Three out of four victims were murdered in accordance with their greatest fear.”
It rang with truth, but the theory didn’t make total sense yet. “What about Fuyuhiko and I? I worry about break-ins as much as anyone else, but it’s not a phobia or anything like that. And Fuyuhiko was stabbed with one of his own swords. If he was afraid of them, why would he keep them in his house?”
“My understanding,” Gundham said slowly, “is that his sword collection, including the murder weapon, belonged to his late wife.”
A chill ran down her spine. He continued, “I am loath to ask you this, but I’m afraid the local police resent sharing details of that case.”
“That’s not surprising,” she said, her plastic coffee cup growing cold in her hands. “Peko’s murder is one of their greatest failures. They barely open up to locals about it, let alone an outsider. Pardon me.”
“Hardly,” he replied. “Do go on. It is unsolved, I gather?”
“Not for lack of trying.” Fuyuhiko owned half the commercial buildings in Witch Creek, becoming the closest thing to a mogul in their little town. He had an explosive temper and a short fuse, but his admirers called that determination and nerve, revering those qualities as much as his business acumen. “His wife Peko was savagely beaten and then stabbed to death five years ago. At the time, the rumor was that Fuyuhiko was responsible, but the police never arrested him or anyone else.”
“He and his wife were both stabbed.” Gundam toyed with one of the many rings on his fingers. “His wife owned the swords. That does not suggest a power imbalance on its face. The husband has financial power, and she has physical power.”
“They used to be happy,” she continued, “but Fuyuhiko had a hair trigger for jealousy. Peko was a champion fencer in college and traveled to tournaments, first to compete and then to judge. Fuyuhiko had to stop going because of his commitments here, and suddenly they were a lot less happy.”
“Did he believe she was stepping out on her?”
“I think he was afraid of it.”
“Do you know if she ever did?”
“I don’t,” she admitted. “But if he treated me the way he began to treat her, I wouldn’t blame her.”
Gundham sat back in his stiff wooden chair. “If he did, in fact, murder his wife, then perhaps his greatest fear was retribution. To be impaled upon his victim’s sword is symbolic, but only to him.”
“The killer must have known, too,” she added.
“Did they? If our killer is targeting people based on their fears, then Fuyuhiko is a perfect victim. If he murdered his wife, then the sword symbolizes his guilty conscience and his fear of the truth being exposed. If he is innocent, the sword symbolizes a regurgitation of all the old speculation, and the likelihood of being blamed for a crime he did not commit. His mysterious death would have always been mentioned in league with his wife’s, but through the choice of weapon, their murders are now eternally entangled.”
It made so much terrible sense, but there was one last knot in the thread of logic. “If it’s all about fear, why is the killer using the Despair Sisters?” she asked. “They spread despair, not fear.”
Gundham deflated a little. “I have not divined that yet, but I am certain in the other connections we made. The use of their sigils is as intentional as everything else in these cases.”
Even if the sigils weren’t a direct match, they still fit with the rest of the killer’s plans. Were fear and despair really so different? People feel fear when a bad thing might happen, but people only despair when the bad thing does<happen. The killer wants to evoke fear or despair in his victims, but why? What was it all for?
“My lady.” Gundham’s deep voice broke through her thoughts. “I must ask: what is your greatest fear?”
What had she told Komaeda? Something about suffocation, but that wasn’t what she feared, not really.
“Being alone,” she replied.
Gundham remained silent, gazing at her. She couldn’t stand it. “Please, don’t make me explain myself.”
“There is no need. I know it all too well.”
“You do?”
“Many do not understand my work.” Sonia had seen him falter and soften, but for the first time, his mysterious, eccentric air vanished. No longer was he some ethereal spirit floating through Witch Creek. He looked tired and melancholy, stuck in a world that didn’t want him. “Skeptics believe I have lost my mind, and that I believe in every cult I study. But believers – as in, people who tend to be superstitious, and who more quickly accept the existence of a higher power – think I am evil to my core.”
“People…” She paused. “People are weird like that.”
His head tilted, his eyes narrowing in curiosity. “You mentioned you used to carry more occult books in your shop, didn’t you?”
“Yes.” It was uncomfortable to rehash, but worth it if she could warm this helpless creature before her. “I was always fascinated by the occult, but my parents hated it. They called it an obsession and said it was dangerous. I inherited the bookshop from them a while ago, but I only had the courage to stock it with books I like after they retired to California.”
“Why did you stop selling them?”
“Because people stopped coming in.” The shame of nearly destroying her parents’ legacy so soon after becoming its custodian crept up the back of her neck. “People thought the books – just books! – were dangerous, that their children would become heathens, all the usual stuff. So I stripped down that section until it was only a single shelf in the back of the shop, and people came back. It – it felt like I betrayed my parents to do it in the first place.”
“For choosing to be who you are?”
“For destroying what they worked hard for,” she retorted bitterly. If only it were that simple! “My parents immigrated from the kingdom of Novoselic. They spent their whole lives trying to fit in here for my sake, and I dashed all that hard work as soon as they handed me the keys.”
“You did no such thing,” he replied. “Shoppers returned, did they not? You cannot blame yourself for acting according to your own nature.”
“That’s easy for you to say.” An unbidden jealousy flared to life in her voice. “It’s easy for you to be different and be okay with it. You don’t have to live here. This place is a hive mind – if you’re not in line, you’re not a person.”
“You are correct. I do not live here.” He leaned forward, and suddenly his speech became a lot more deliberate. “And while my eccentricities impede my bonds with my fellow investigators, I do not depend on ‘fitting in,’ as you say, to keep my job. I have the luxury of my connections with them being purely social. To that end, I always thought: if I am peeling away parts of myself to forge a bond with someone, how strong can that bond ever be?”
That shattered something in her. She always believed she could be normal enough, ordinary enough, unremarkable enough that she could blend in seamlessly with the herd, but then she would cease to be Sonia Nevermind. Being a faceless thing seemed much better than being alone, but maybe she did not have a choice.
“Is that the answer?” she asked in a broken whisper. “To be friendless for the rest of my life?”
“I never said that.” His smile grew warm. “When you live as yourself, and not what other people wish you to be, you will find people who treat your friendship as a privilege. In fact, I believe you already have.”
Her eyes widened. “What?”
“Mister Soda, of course.” If he realized the implication in his own words, he did not show it. “I get the sense that neither of you compromised for the other.”
“Oh, of course.” Maybe she was just hoping to feel any positive emotion, no matter how ill-timed it was, but it wouldn’t have been so bad to keep misunderstanding Gundham, would it?
“He is – was a very good friend,” she replied. “And you’re right, we did lean on each other a lot. Both our families had moved away around the same time, and all that.”
She sat back, sipping the last of her now-lukewarm coffee. “Did you find out anything from his therapy notes?”
His head tilted. “Pardon?”
“At Hope Springs yesterday,” she replied, weirded out by his quizzical look. “Kazuichi had an appointment with him the day he died.”
“Mister Soda visited him, too?” He sat up, alert and tense. “I was only there to collect Mister Kuzuryu’s records.”
“Komaeda didn’t tell you Kazuichi was already seeing him?”
“No,” said Gundham gravely, “and I had specifically informed him about Soda’s death. He never told me. That’s now three victims who sought support from Komaeda: Kuzuryu, Soda, and yourself.”
“And in a town this small,” she added, “it’s totally possible the other two were seeing him informally. Ibuki’s parents would never allow her to see a shrink, so maybe she arranged something with Komaeda privately.”
“And Mister Nidai could have done the same!”
They paused, their gazes locked. Sonia took comfort in the fact that she saw as much dread on Gundham’s face that she herself felt.

I just finished chap 29 and PLUCK
U DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT U DID TO ME
THE MOMENT THE BAD ENDING COMES OUT I WILL CRY SO LOUD U WILL HEAR ME DESPITE BEING IN DIFFERENT CONTINENTS
I will never thank you enough for your work, you are and amazing writer, a magnificent artist and an even bigger inspiration to me. Keep up the amazing work, and thank you again for everything you do <3
Just be aware that u made someone scream very loud in europe at 11 pm <3
So because there's two endings I intend to release the 'Bad End' on the same day as the first chapter of the 'Good End'. Since this means that I'll be releasing two chapters in one day, I'll need a bit more time than my usual week to get them read to post. I know this means more time to wait until the next chapter, but I know that some folks won't be reading the 'Bad End' so I wanted to make sure everyone had something to read when the new chapters come out. This'll also help cushion the 'Bad End' for those readers since they'll have a chapter of the 'Good End' to enjoy after the whole shindig goes south.
And you're so nice???? I'm literally just one person hyperfixating on my own story and I'm beyond grateful that y'all are here with me on this wild ride.
And that scream was you? I def heard it

How some of the bonten members would react to your period.
(💀the amount of pain some of us feel is just omg)
-------------------------------
Ran Haitani
He would have a basic understanding of it
Unaware of cramps/mood swings and that sorta shit so he would def be taken aback if you winced in pain.
Would tease you but would stop if you're visibly pissed or hurt
Would try his best in getting you the right sort of pads
Will buy you whatever you want "wah, that bag is super cute! " Next thing you know Ran bought it.
Gives you massages
Overall his care is a 9.5 on 10 the teasing made him lose the .5
-------------------------------------------
Rindou Haitani
PLS he literally knows nothing about periods, he just found you sleeping and happened to see a stain, he lowkey thought you got shot on your ass and freaked out
He is a pretty fast learner so after reading up on some articles about it he would go to the store and buy every single pad/snack available
Would spoil you but not come near you, he's liked kinda grossed outtt idk the idea of bleeding out of your 🐱 for almost 24/7 doesn't sit right with him
He would be a bitch and ask you to sleep in the guest bedroom, but he would end up sleeping on the couch.
"Rin can i get a hug pleaseeeeee" "EWW no way in hell am I comin' near you and your bleeding🐱"
Overall he's a solid 7 on 10, the distancing makes you feel like shit and he doesn't even make up properly just buys you stuff and awkwardly tries to make up for the shitty week your body and he caused.
-------------------------------------------
Mikey
Pretty experienced because of Emma
Keeps a track of your cycle
Shares his food (which is a stretch even for his "emo" Self)
Butterfly kisses on your stomach
He would take a day off and put either Kakucho Or Kokonoi incharge (no way in hell is he letting Sanzu take over for a full 24 hours)
Thinks a lot before he speaks to you during the week, he is so scared of saying smth that might hurt you in anyway
Personal heatpack <3
10/10 he is literally the sweetest during this time <333333
------------------------------------------
Might update later.
UPDATED
-------------------------------------------
Kakucho Hitto
Contrary to popular belief of him being "husband" Material, I think he would be flustered to talk about it.
"Oh.. You're uh on your.. *cough* monthly cycle... UHH" Poor dude would be confused af and would be super worried if your cramps are bad
He'd come back early frm Bonten hq in an attempt to take care of you, but freak out as soon as he had laid eyes on a stain.
He would properly make it up to you for freaking out about it (unlike someone 😒)
Would cuddle you from behind and rub gentle circles on your back
Same as Ran 9.5 on 10, he lost the
.5 at being awkward, it put you on edge.
__________________________________
Sanzu Haruchiyo
Manz doesn't know what it is and won't care to learn about it, all he needs is a nutshell explanation and BOOM he literally runs faster then Sonic to the supermarket and buys you everything you could ever need
Would take the whole week off just to stay with you
Movies and binge watching cringy rom-cons are a must
Asks you if you can still do the deed
If your cramps are bad in the morning he'll carry you downstairs bridal style throw you on the couch and gets you your favorite instant noodles
Would take a hot bath with you without being disgusted by the sight of your blood
Overall solid 10, he is super ooc here because I refuse to see all his red flags 😌
(**AN, I WILL BE ADDING KOKO ASWELL AS TAKEOMI LATER**)
Hhhgnudvjfvjfc I'm back like I promised, I'll be ending it with koko and takeomi, I'm sorry i just can't write shit for mochi😔
-------------------------------
Kokonoi Hajime
He honestly could care less, but he loves you and hates seeing you in pain
He will def spoil you like crazy, slides you his phone from across the table and asks you which piece of clothes you like better
Buys you some of the best meds, manz hates it when you say you don't need the meds but are literally glued to the bed cause of cramps
After a really bad period he would take you to a gynecologist to make sure everythings ok
Would take a day off to take care of you, but when he returns the whole hq is in literal shambles
Would make sure you have a really or atleast maybe relaxing week
(Fhcghv i low key love this man sm i have sm hcs just based on him)
If your back hurts he'll buy a whole new matress
10/10 no explanation needed
-------------------------------------------
Akaashi Takeomi (this is the literal first time I've ever wrote anything for him, probs the last time too idk he and mochi are hard to write for)
Would be experienced because of senju
Doesn't keep a track of your cycle but knows when it's near almost like a 6th sense
Cooks gourmet worthy food for you
Cuddles and what not
He asks you literally everything like "hey, would you like it if I went to work today? "
#remote working

Dinluke Halloween Week.
So I won't be able to write anything cause I just don't have time (among other things). But I would love to share my thoughts! I will def write these stories out but will post them next year for Halloween. If you want to know those stories and don't mind spoilers, you can continue under 'read more/keep reading'.
This will be for story 1 (out of two). Will post about story 2 later.
Modern AU. Urban fantasy.
Din and Grogu live in a haunted house in the middle of the woods. Din is what is termed as a 'null,' someone who isn't affected by magic at all or isn't affected by certain magic types. Grogu is a creature of some kind (Din isn't sure of what) but looks human (i.e. curly white hair, pointed ears, but skin color is like Din's but with a tinge of green). Din saved Grogu after finding him being held captive. They had a rough road until they stopped Gideon and then settled down in an old, abandoned house that Din stumbled upon by accident in the woods one day.
After rebuilding the home and modernizing it, Din began feeling like he wasn't alone in the house. There was an area not far away from his property- a cave- that had a small abandoned, destroyed alter which only adds to his nerves that it is something evil. But then he discovers Luke- the spirit of the house/land. Luke appears as a normal human but Din knows he is a powerful spirit.
Din is also in love and in a relationship with LukeThey can only meet in dreams but Din can feel Luke's presence around the house even though he can't see his love when awake- only Grogu can.
Din can't tell anyone he is in a relationship with Luke. His friends would worry since past stories always ended poorly. But Din loves Luke and Luke loves Din. Even though Luke says things like they will be together one day. Din doesn't plan on dying anytime soon, however.
One day, Din rushes home when he discovers bounty hunters in the nearby town- not with the people Gideon words for but it isn't uncommon for creatures/special humans to be captured and sold in the black market. These guys got passed the percautions the town has to protect them from that (Or something like that). He basically gets home with Grogu and puts everything on lockdown.
When it gets dark, the hunters come and Din is ready. But the attackers never stumble into the area where his house is. In fact, they act like it isn't there and seem compelled to stay away from the area.
Din is confused but isn't about to go out and leave Grogu alone. Then he starts hearing screams.
He knows it is from the people but it is so dark that he can't really see what is happening. At one point he sees someone running but then the next moment it looks like a shadow swallows them.
Din doesn't know what is going on and that even puts him more on edge. Almost to the point he leaves to investigate. But then- suddenly- the screams stop.
Still taking cover, Din watches the forest around his home. And then freezes when something materializes just at the property border.
Coming out of the shadows it is a creature of both light and dark. A heavy hood up to obscure their upper face but strands of light- like hair- can be seen. Body wrapped in black robes but its arms, hands, and lower face can be seen and they look like galaxies. the fingers of the creature are light as it holds an orb that looks like the sun. From the end of where the robe ends- feet hidden behind them- light tentacles emerge from the fabric. Contrasts greatly against black wings that have a twinkle and shine to them like the milky way. Above the creature's head, two green elongated eyes hover that look around randomly. Between them is a third orb of fire, held up by a second pair of arms that seem to come from its back.
When the creature enters the land it pushes back its hood. There isn't a face- just a continuation of space. But there are six distinct 'stars' that run parallel with each other seem to blink as a human would. They are two different colors- 4 are pure white and last two (the ones between the white ones) are a startling blue.
Slowly the creature walks toward Din and its size begins to shrink, the shadow and light fade away, until there- standing before Din- is Luke.
They stare at one another. Din speechless having moved out from hiding and Luke with a sheepish smile. Luke breaks the silence with a soft hello.
Din rushes toward Luke, unable to believe he is here. And Luke eagerly reaches out to him. They hug and Din feels like he is going to cry even though he has so many questions.
After sharing a few words, the two move inside and draw Grogu out from his safety place.
Over food, Luke explains he is actually an eldritch being that has been here for many years. He had a whole cult at one point before he decided that he was tired of being used by his followers and having to take sacrifices. He was forgotten- even made his dwelling invisible to others to make sure. But since Din is a null and grogu is also an eldritch being (which explains a lot of things to Din), they weren't affected by Luke's magic. Luke wanted to come back after spending time with Din and Grogu- explaining Din and him are bonded by soul magic, a rare type of magic that even some nulls can be affected by. (it is super rare to find a full null or a sink- someone that makes every type of magic useless around them)- because of their love of the land that developed into a love for one another. But in order to do that it would require an enormous sacrifice that Luke didn't want to do- a living sacrifice. Luke had no qualms of using the hunters though as sacrifices to make it happen in order to protect Din, Grogu, and their home. (He doesn't need those sacrifices anymore though- maintaining the body is easier than manifesting it).
When questioned about if Luke will still have his power- Luke grins and explains that with their soul bond that it acts like an act of worship. Meaning he will still have all of his abilities as long as Din keeps loving him. And BOY Din isn't going to stop that any time soon.
The ending would be Din and Luke sharing a kiss for the first time in the physical realm and Din couldn't be happier.
There is a second chapter which is nothing but tentacle porn LMAO. Din gets fucked by his love for the first time in the physical world~
I DID write the opening for this story that I am really proud of but I don't want to post it on AO3 like a chapter. If you made it this far, let me know if you want to read it here on Tumblr.
Thanks for reading!

But staying in hybe not gonna benefit for him either. they already set their mind on hyping jk and make it as jungkook and the band thing. that's is why they already did trademark the logo because he is gonna have solo push 200% once he comeback. which isn't annoying when u think about they will def fuck up jimin. didn't we see how the released ctt mv on itunes to buy on 2nd week instead of 1st week which would've helped us to get into hot 100? they will never stop sabotaging him until they have in mind to push jk, which ain't gonna stop in next 5years atleast.
if jimin is in another company atleast on release dates and internal things he won't get sabatoges, what we need is no sabatoge which is already a luxurious thing to ask for. jimin has fan power and some qualities to attracts gps without push, which is a threat and hybe knows. I don't believe they won't fuck up upcoming project. we know jimin knows everything but does he know how low hybe gets upto!? his love for bts is admirable and one of the reason many pjms stick with him so i will never question his priority of pushing bts before himself. I just wish hybe or bts don't push him down :(
anyway I hope he opens his own label with us label for promotions too like how bp members doing rn. atleast papa park please start a label😭 it's not about promotions we just need those internal conflict and sabatoges away from him
Hypothetically, going the route bp did would the most beneficial option, because he could still be under hybe with bts, not have to worry about being trapped into a contract by any of those other labels for his solo career and he’d be in complete control without sabotage and the internal conflict like you said. Tbh, I never knew how seemingly easy (it still most likely isn’t) it was to open your own label as an idol though. Granted I feel like the ones who have, probably have accessibility to do it more freely but who knows if the idea of starting his own label has even crossed jimin’s mind.
But as long as hybe wants jk at the forefront, is aligned with scooter and jimin’s stays on the path of success he’s at, they’re gonna try and suppress him in some way. Even now there was an article that was put out (by the usual suspect) on Forbes undermining jimin and CTT not debuting on hot100 while completely ignoring the circumstances and highlighting jk in the same breath. It’s become second nature to that camp at this point it’s be so long since it was actually shocking to me. For Jimin himself though, I doubt he knows the ins and outs of exactly how hybe is fucking him over. The main people who are hyper vigilant of that would be us.
If jimin puts out another album or single that’s as successful as face and like crazy though? Or if the FACE vinyl gets manages to get that #1 on BB200 week after next, hybe is definitely gonna mobilize again. Cause that’ll be the third strike of jimin snatching what they had planned for JK and I know they’re trying to avoid that at any cost. And since JK is in MS the company is definitely gonna have to work hard to keep the narrative in his favor.
I know when he gets out of MS the emphasis will be put back on BTS primarily, but I don’t think jimin’s gonna completely pack his solo work away. Him (seemingly) working on two albums congruently doesn’t seem like someone who will de-center that. Cause jimin is definitely coming into his solo career and he’s looks to be enjoying navigating it creative wise. So hopefully when he doesn’t have enlistment looming over his head he’ll be able to fully settle into that part of his career more.

ooc: Morning! Just passing by to update and let y'all know this week is insane and I don't think I'll jump back in to rp until next week (at least), or if I do this week it'll be for a short time only. I'll prolly ask someone for a summary when I'm ready.
Having to wake up at 5am everyday is rather challenging so my rp frequency is def gonna go down in general 🥲 and I don't think I can keep up with a real-time structure to the rp anymore without continuously having the blorbos faint or something djdkdkd. Not for the next 4 months which is the duration of my internship. I definitely don't wanna leave the rp though, it's been the most fun I've had for a long while and I'm really invested! So I'll see if it's possible for me to still make some time for it as I adjust to these changes. I wanted to ask if it'd be okay with y'all to have stuff happen in a different timing - this doesn't mean y'all rp any less, but rather that if I'm gone for a week, my guys haven't been gone for as long as I have. It's ok if not, but it'd definitely save me some trouble!
But hey, I'm having fun at work so far! I'm learning quite a lot! This week has been especially busy bcs I've been out to get some clothes, meet friends I won't see as often, general adjustment to change my autism brain doesn't like, an exam today also- and another friend came to visit from another country so I'm giving her lots of my attention atm. Other weeks won't be this hectic I suppose. Oh and. Her bf got me fivey and ainley's mtg cards and I am Screaming. I'll show them later in koscheicore hehe.
Hope y'all are okay!

random thoughts dump of the week bc none of this deserves its own post
coming down from a smol john kearns kick and really enjoyed it, guy has a ridiculously sweet presence and i really like his voice. it also brings me great joy his previous career was working in museums and as a tour guide. i would like that life, i think (i worked at universal orlando for a little bit in 2013 and was always super jealous of the vip tour guides lol). he mentioned on one of his rhlstps that despite winning arguably the biggest (british) comedy awards there are, he never released a standup special or dvd, and he kinda wants to keep it that way so he has something special between him and his live audience — and that really made me sad face. like, my guy, what about those of us who can't see you bc won't leave that damn island. (also ed gamble's new tour having no nyc date felt personal...) in another episode, he talked a little about, in great part due to social media, people want comedians they can know everything about, get the whole look of; comedians who are the same people onstage as off. he's not like that and doesn't really like the idea of that. i think there's a lot to say about that subject but i'll just leave it for now...
speaking of touring ed byrne next week!!! and jimmy and alan carr coming up!! what a fun time :')
speaking of rhlstp and ed, one thing that occurred to me and i thought was quite funny upon listening to his recent episode is that both richard and ed have that self-aware side of them that admits to bitterness, professional jealousy, annoyance with critics/haters, believing they're not as successful as they deserve to be, etc. while it can come off whiney here and there, it's not too obnoxious or anything, i just found it amusing they had this (often concealed or private) quality in common. i might even put jenny eclair in that camp (others too but that's a discourse i don't really wanna start lmao)
if another youtuber, following amelia dimoldenberg (and munya? does he count?), had to go on taskmaster i would probably vote for ollie kendal off of jolly. in my mind he and alex would be genuinely good friends outside of the show
man i miss the horne section podcast so bad
honestly, i'm a little surprised david mitchell doesn't have a podcast. he loves radio, it's not too demanding of a gig, and he's got tons of interests that could make engaging premises for podcasts... i'm sure someone has floated this to him before, so i need the reason why he said no. maybe he was busy with his book. would love a history pod fr
does anyone else ever remember when david mitchell was in rick and morty and just sit back and go O_O also when he was on graham norton with hillary clinton like lmaooo i just love the idea of the booking agents for that show being like "we're having fucking hillary clinton on who can we bring for comic relief who is a household name but not problematic but intelligent but actually funny" i mean they hit the jackpot of course but it cracks me up that that's his brand
did david ever watch succession? rob def did but i need more about it from both of them
sometimes i think about when david accepted his bafta for peep show and the music that was playing while he walked to the stage was "sex on fire" by kings of leon hahahahaha like what who was djing that night fr
where did charlie brooker go
speaking of back in the day — and i do mean back, like 15+ years ago — and my main panel show obsession was buzzcocks, there were a few non-comedians who would come on panel shows who were properly fucking funny, like martin freeman and josh groban, and i'd always pray they'd eventually come on again. and i think at the time the person at the top of my list was professor green. how random is that TT he was just always up for laugh and just so likable. i also LOVED the song "just good to be green" with lily allen in like 2010 lmaooo this really ages me :)
been really enjoying some old angus deayton-hosted stuff, like old hignfy and wilty. i got into panel shows after he'd stepped out of the spotlight, but i remember being crushed when i found out about his scandal. i also remember stephen fry standing up for him and chastising paul & ian publicly after That Episode of hignfy — which absolutely blew my mind, even though stephen has always said what he thinks — and i agreed with him and am not sure even today if i fully forgave paul & ian for how they treated angus. ik he's still here and there, but i wonder if we'll ever see him in any properly notable capacity again
just watched the latest hignfy actually and jack dee pheww he's ageing very nicely let me just say it and pheww emmanuel sonubi please and thank you. also, paul's outfit was quite nice. an enjoyment of the eyes indeed
i've been making a lot of typos in my gifs lately for literally no reason other than not proofreading my rushing and it's embarrazzing i'm gonna do better
speaking of gifs i have NOTHING!!! in my drafts folder. nothing. no content. nothing is made. nothing in the queue. [sigh] sounds like tonight we be bustin it out huh. idk about other gifmakers (i actually don't follow any other panel show blogs, but this isn't necessarily a panel show blog thing, just a regular original content thing) but i don't usually make gifs throughout the week — instead, like, marathon gif like two times a week and build up 10–20 drafts to post throughout the week. if you gif every single day or to keep up with all of the new content, it starts to become a chore, which is never fun :(
speaking of which i probably won't gif outsiders too much because people don't seem to care too much about it + the webrips are just...so ugly in gif form, even at 1080p! it's a dave thing fr, taskmaster used to be the same way -_-
okay here we go into gif mode btw i got some of your requests and will def make them!!

"if i do that, i think i'll end up wanting more."
"how much do i have to bid for you to keep it?"
AERI. THIS SENTENCE IS SCRATCHING IN MY BRAIN AND IT WON'T LEAVE, HOW CAN YOU MAKE SOMEONE SO FOND WITH THIS!?? I AM TOTALLY NOT BLUSHING JSHDJDJEJRJ
But then I remember you'll make us hurt with angst I'm sure in the next chapter 😭
But.. Otoya and Sae fighting over for y/n, jeez. I'm going INSANE 😭
ALSO THE FACT THAT OTOYA PLAY BASS, ARGH I CAN ALREADY IMAGINE Y/N USED TO BEG OTOYA TO PLAY BASS LIKE "Otoya, can you play the song you were playing on the stage last week?" With pleasing eyes, And otoya will tease her and still play for y/n
//I'm not fine
-🦈
me being delulu because those are what i want sae to tell me sobs </3 i was smiling writing that chapter i hate him so much …. there will def be angst soon yes !! haha will there be a few friendships breaking once this series ends … ;)
hahaha otoya used to get his band to dedicate songs to her to mess with her because he knows she hates it when girls start talking about her and eita 😭 but yeah she does ask him to play some songs for her in private, and he used to ask her what she thought of the melodies etc. :’)

So the vet gave us some nausea, anxiety, and sleep meds to make the next two weeks more comfortable for my dog, you know just long enough to last until The Appointment, cuz he's clearly having a really bad time, but part of me was kinda hoping he might actually start doing better(and the vet said she thought he really might) and it's really sucking to realize they aren't doing anything at all.
(readmore cuz this got very sad and long sorry)
'Cuz so far the nausea meds seem to be making him throw up more?? Or at least he's throwing up just as much as he was before we gave them to him, and despite him being on a pretty hefty dose of anxiety and sleep meds not only is he STILL pacing all night(which keeps us awake bcs it's loud) he's pacing EVEN MORE and I can tell the meds are doing something bcs he's clearly inebriated but it's not helping him sleep it's just making it so as he paces he runs into everything and falls over a bunch which is making tons of noise...
It's just really hard to watch, cuz it highlights how much he's suffering, and that's just the puking and the pacing, he's also almost bitten me(which he's NEVER done before) when I was just trying to clean off his paw cuz he stepped in the throw up, and he also keeps snarling at my fiancé and he's got trauma from a severe dog bite he had as a child so that's not ideal to say the least, and he keeps going to the bathroom on our back porch instead of waiting until he gets onto the dirt and like...I just am starting to wonder if deciding to put off saying goodbye for two weeks was like really selfish on my part?? Especially bcs every day I just feel so bad for him that I'm depressed and I can't eat and it's just awful for us both.
I wish it didn't have to be this way, I really do, but I think his health has really gotten to a point where it's effecting everyone in the house super negatively(on top of the fear of dogs being triggered my fiancé is a light sleeper and the constant pacing keeps him up) but like god then I feel awful bcs I shouldn't be thinking about making things easier on myself, right? Even if my dog's a burden I love him and I should put in the work...but yeah it's just...it's so fucking bad and I have no idea how ANY of us are going to survive the next two weeks and that alone is making me feel way more like shit than anything else.
I just keep reminding myself that I'm doing the right thing, not by waiting, but by knowing that it's time for us to let him go, because god I can't even remember the last time he wagged his tail or got excited or happy about literally anything and he can't sleep or keep food down and he's 13 so it's not like we can fix it(and even if we could I doubt we could afford it, we can barely afford his meds) and the meds aren't even helping and I can't keep putting him through all this just because of my emotional baggage.
And I know all of this is the price we pay for loving each other and it's so very worth it but god is it hard sometimes. It's really fucking hard. And idk why but last year with my other dog it didn't feel this way, I didn't hate myself or feel selfish, maybe because she was def suffering a LOT but also she was still...idk she still had her wits about her? We really got to say goodbye, like she was still there for us to say goodbye to. This time kinda feels like I'm keeping someone on life support despite knowing they're never going to wake up bcs I can't deal with it and it's making me hate myself SO much I didn't even know what to do.
He barely even recognizes me anymore, and I can't comfort him no matter how hard I try. I almost feel like there's nothing for me to even say goodbye to because he's constantly confused and flinches when I pet him and won't come near me even when I call him over and keeps trying to bite me when I try to help him.
I just wish I could help him. Or that I could like...let him know that's what I'm trying to do, that I'm still here and I still love him. But I can't even do that.
