joshieWAAA. his dialogue ALWAYS makes me laugh and i love the lighthearted missions throughout week 2.

same with fret. every moment with him is a delight. beat was good in og twewy but hes TOP TIER in neo. hes the absolute best version of himself and especially after. the sho incident at the end of wk1 having him during wk2 was necessary just for morale.

5. favorite pin(s)?

any of the rapid tap pins. my video game strategy has always been and always will be max out attack and hit as many times as possible so rapid tap is for me. i believe in neo i have neku equipped with yukimitsu (if thats the correct one i’m thinking of.... its a jupes rapid tap w/ fire affinity...) and its perfect for him. i REALLY love the pin a lot, its powerful and fast and is just a flaming slashing sword. what else could a girl want.

theres a boba tea shop in neo that i always made sure to stop by if i was in the area (i think its on spain hill). theres a boba shop in my own town that i sometimes go to with my friends and i have a lot of memories of grabbing tea and walking through shops with them, so i want my little twoowee kids to have the same experiences with their friends :’)

i already answered this one but i always have more twewy thoughts and ive been thinking about sho and beat a lot lately....

idk if this was intentional from the writers’ perspective (i picked up on it but its.... subtle). beat and sho’s roles in neo (especially regarding their roles within the wicked twisters team) oppose each other and its.... idk its real interesting to me.

like you have sho in wk1 who all the kids look up to and rely on and they THINK hes on their side, but hes a poor excuse of a companion and leaves them for dead at the end of wk1. then IMMEDIATELY in wk2 they give us beat, another strong and experienced player, and he adopts the role the kids desperately wanted (and NEEDED) sho to fulfill and beat does an AMAZING job. where sho was always absent & unreliable, beat NEVER left the kids and always emphasized how he would be there to carry all of them. he becomes the big brother they thought they had in wk1.

then in wk3 beat and sho go head-to-head. sho is the one who abandoned the twisters weeks ago, meanwhile beat is the one saying “go ahead without me” and is offering to be left for dead so his friends can be safe.

thankfully beat was fine but. very interesting how these two characters are the ones with a physical confrontation. i havent rly seen anyone talk about it and im not sure what point im trying to make here other than the roles for their characters clashed and complemented nicely.

Fuck randy pitchford. I mean, obviously i feel like that goes without saying, yes I bought the game, i like the series and sometimes a bitch just wants to sink 70+ hours into a hyper-violent but ultimately goofy, non-threatening video game in a stressful time, sue me.

to that end, yes I played on easy. I also played solo. 

i play for fun and i dont fuck with build culture or w/e. i picked moze because i know her VA personally, and that was my only deciding factor.

I play on the ps4 so frankly i have no horse in the epic/steam debacle. I dont really care.

i didnt play bl1 but ive played the others.

spoilers. all the spoilers.

Anthony burch deserved better. I cant believe i have to see “at least im not anthony burch” in the year of our lord 2019 but its still happening out there. He deserved better, and this game is proof. maybe bl2 was “memey,” but it had a solid foundation and a great villain. TPS was also good, i think, honestly i only played it once and I dont remember it super well. Tales is the best in the franchise, and yes it counts, shut up. Burch’s absence is felt here. the story is weak, the villains are flat, and everything is written with the energy of a man who thinks everything that comes out of his mouth is fucking hysterical. like, im not even mad at “big dock energy” or the other stupid, already dated goofs, Im mad that every NPC was painful to listen to, or that rhys, arguably one of the most developed characters in the BL universe by virtue of the game he came from, was 90% mustache jokes. All these characters are like the versions that come out of fandom a year later, flanderized and already boiled down to their one token joke and repeated forever and eternity. You just met Lorelei and she seems cool, but man she REALLY NEEDS HER COFFEE AND IT IS HER ONLY DEFINING PERSONALITY TRAIT LOL!!!

Vaughn is The WORST, BRO

i dont think anyone really grows imo. Im particularly irritated by ava, who i very much want to like! but she has like three stock phrases she uses throughout the entire game, so after maya gets evaporated, you go talk to her and shes like “WOW this ship is cool, so much shit to steal!” like, you couldnt program her to sulk or not want to see anyone for a while? come on.

influencers as villains could have been really powerful if it had been introduced gradually, but mostly it was just obnoxious and too on the nose. troy and tyreen were very hollow. you get brief glimpses of humanity in them, but they’re so rare it almost feel like an accident. You get one(?) mention of their childhood before you finally stumble fully into the plot in the last few hours of the game. troy’s “betrayal” could be spotted a mile away despite it being hardly developed. I honestly dont even know if they loved each other or not? Was tyreen hurt by troy’s betrayal and subsequent demise? did troy look up to her and want to be her equal, or did he want out from under her shadow? i dont know. did i miss those echo logs? should the majority of the lore in a game be MISSABLE?

jack tracked well as a villain because you, over time, learned exactly how awful he was beyond “cocky corporate asshole who wants you dead” re: angel being his daughter. the twins are just....flatline obnoxious the whole way through.

sucks to be leda, apparently extremely badass but ultimately an afterthought who lives and dies offscreen only in recollections of the past.

sucks even worse to be fiona. i can tell you right now i wont be fucking with DLC unless it brings back fiona.

hammerlock saved this fucking game, he brings a certain dignity to the table that really helped level the tone after the rhys-katagawa stuff. Eden-6 was actually my favorite section of the game. loved hammerlock, loved jakobs, loved clay, and LOVED the jakobs estate. dunno why?? maybe because that level had me thinking “i could almost pretend im playing bioshock rn”

my GF absolutely hates the new claptrap. she’s right though. a claptrap that experiences emotions outside of “delusional exuberance” isnt actually claptrap

is the vault hunter ever actually there? its really distracting how they’re never actually involved in cut scenes.

gripes aside, i DID clock like 76 hours as moze, and i will probably continue to fuck around in it post game to clean up some extra stuff. might even start a zane of fl4k. the reviews promised it would be “more borderlands, nothing special” and thats what we got. it came at a time when i needed to remove myself from social media for a few weeks and lose myself in something mindless and violent, and it provided me with exactly that. its not elevated from BL2/TPS at all. the only improvement i can think of off the top of my head is being able to change quest objectives without entering a menu (thank god). it falls short in a series that always kind of had a low bar to begin with. disappointed but not surprised. i knew burch and eddings were both gone and that their absence would be felt. but i wanted to be gay and do crime anyway. so. you know. whatever. i got approximately what i paid for.

A/n: this is basically my first time writing angst sorry if it sucks but this is kinda exactly what is going on in my life right now lol :).

At the worst time of your life you met Chenle. He was so bright, always there for you with smiles. Sure he was a year younger but he was still your best friend. If it hadnt been for the dolphin of a boy you dont know how you would've gotten through 8th grade oof. But that was long ago. You two had changed so much since middle school.

Freshman year was weird since Chenle was still in 8th grade, being that he is a year younger. Despite no longer having music together, yall would hang like every weekend. You were always at the Zhong household playing with his little brother and losing to Chenle at Mario Kart. Neither of you had a worry in the world. So you both didn't see what was coming.

Sophomore year was pretty great. Minus the fat crush you developed for your best friend. You knew he used to like you, but it seemed like that was over. Still, when he asked you to the haunted house, you couldnt refuse. It was soooo cold out even though is was only October and you hated haunted houses so that didnt help your shaking. The entire night you held onto Chenle for dear life. He always asked if you were alright behind him becasue your death grip on his waist was kinda hurting, even through his puffy coat. All of this was worth it when you became his girlfriend that night. Who knew that he liked you back?!

This was your first relationship so it was really awkward. It didnt help that you were always busy with sports. All in all you still had never been on a date and it's almost Christmas. It's not that you dont like Chenle, but the whole couple thing is just,, off. It has been almost 2 months and yall havent been on a date, held hands, kissed. Nothing. This is when you started to feel exhausted by the "relationship" if you could call it that.

Winter break was quickly approaching and you knew you wanted to break up. But how could you break your best friend's heart right before Christmas. So you held all of your worries in. That's when you remembered that theres a winter dance right after break and you did NOT want to go with your boyfriend. You knew what you had to do.

You didnt deserve to feel so emotionally exhausted by this failed relationship. And you didn't deserve Chenle. And Chenle didn't deserve you hiding your true feelings about being his girlfriend. You hated yourself for it and yet, you still texted him saying you were breaking up with him. You texted him. You were the worst.

This was right after Christmas so you still had a week or so before you'd have to see the boy at school again, sitting right next to you in music. Maybe you could switch seats with someone. He probably never even wants to see you again let alone sit by you. At least, so you thought.

On the first day back from break you both sat down in class together. To your surprise, it was just like before: you joked, Chenle screeched, and you were friends. Good friends. Nothing would tear you two apart. Even when you had to drop music to pick up an additional AP course, Chenle was there for you after school and on weekends. He really was the best, wasnt he?

Flash forward to summer when you started to hear and see less of him. Why was he so distant? Where is your boy? Maybe you were just drifting a little. That happens in high school. Things will be fine when you pick up school again and make your silly faces at each other in the hallways. Everything would be fine.

Your face lit up as you saw him, standing at his locker just down like 20 from yours. You made the same silly face and gesture at him as always but Chenle just walked away. What was happening? You followed him with your eyes to see a senior girl practically salivating over him. He was a sophomore and he was supposed to be your best friend. Who even is this chick? Little did you know that would be the last time he ever even looked at you.

You missed your old pal. You missed the memories of you two playing video games in his basement. You missed talking to his little brother who is the cutest 6 year old on the planet. You missed Chenle's laugh. His smile. His attention. It was gone forever. It was hers now.

On your birthday you received smiles and happy birthdays from everyone, even people who weren't your friends. Chenle hadnt texted you anything but surely he wouldnt ignore his ex best friend's birthday, right? On your way to lunch, you saw him. He was walking with her. He looked up at you. You knew he couldnt forget! To your surprise, he just looked back down and kept walking. Your breathing stopped. Then it started to quicken. You couldnt see through your tear filled eyes as you skipped lunch to hide in the bathroom that no one used.

In that empty bathroom you cried. You cried your eyes out. On your birthday. Alone. In a bathroom. After your meltdown you pretended everything was cheery for the rest of the school day. Only to go home and cry some more. In your room. Alone. On your birthday. You skipped dinner too.

You thought about the boy you loved. You would never have forgotten his birthday. You would never have ignored him. You hated Chenle. And you hated yourself for hating the boy you once loved.

After a while you remembered that you are: that bitch. And if Chenle doesnt want anything to do with you it's his loss because you are a delight, a fucking cinnamon apple. You didnt need his recognition to be the person you are. And with that, you forgot about Chenle. You forgot your prized memories. You forgot his little brother. You forgot you had ever been friends. Or at least, you forgot to remember these things.

You had cut him out of your life just as he had already done with you. You had healed over the open wound in your heart. You would be okay without Chenle. You would be okay.

When your life fell apart, so did your room. You decided it was time to clean it. At the bottom of your drawer, you found a folded piece of lined paper with a duck drawn on it. You instantly recall the silly duck gestures you give your best friend everytime you passed one another in the halls. And how he always called you duck. And vice versa. In the moment you made the worst decision possible and opened the note.

hahhahahhahaaa…. i didnt really come out on my own terms.. i think my friends mom said something to both of my parents lmao! but i didnt specifically say something to her so its kinda my fault ig… my dad just asked me if i was and i was at the point where i was comfortable and there would be no point in lying. my mom is a different story that im not about to think to much into. i was really really sad and didnt want to talk to her in the first place but she tried to comfort me and then outed me out of nowhere?? literally one of my lowest points it was so awful and embarrassing i felt like i couldnt breathe i was so sad and mad and she wouldnt leave me alone.
