something i think is very funny about veilguard is the black sclera FINALLY being an option now
i know i was pretty fuckin loud about qunari/vashoth NEEDING to have black sclera back in the day (it sets them apart a bit more as something more than just "taller humans with horns) , and i still stand by that, tbh, but upon playing da2 (the game with the first Solid Qunari "design"--even if it was like three models reused ad infinitum) for the first time in several years on a bigger screen and higher definition, i've come to a realization
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i don't think the qunari actually ever had black sclera, i think their eyes were just so deep-set and shadowed by their brow (because THE HORNS FOLLOW THE BROWBONE, VEILGUARD!!!!) that it just looked like the da2 qunari's sclera were black!
so, we were wrong the entire time
but i WILL keep doing it regardless😤

what is your onion of the taash questline if you are comfortable sharing?
ok so ive found out i actually havent finished the ENTIRE questline. just the main part of it, i think ? i finished up to taash's mother dying .
so... i
i rate it poorly. i need like more time.. to digest it . i also.. have a very hard time with this because while i am nonbinary i am just a white british person . i dont have a mixed heritage or culture . i am just white british and not even a cool british like gaelic i am English ...... as plain boring white bread as u can get.
so commentin on the heritage vs culture choice u are given is hard for me beyond that it makes me feel uncomfortable to have to pick for someone. that is not my place. it feels very wrong of me to have this power over someone . when i first was given a choice i said embrace being multicultural. cuz like that feels.. obvious. its beautiful to come from multiple cultures and being pieces of them . thats so cool and awesome to me. and then being forced to pick was so not cool and very not awesome.
in terms of the nonbinary stuff ... the more it got mentioned and brought up the more i disliked it. i don't know how much people will agree with me here so bare with me. it felt very on the nose, unnatural, even the word nonbinary didnt seem like it fit. i feel like they were lazy. i feel like they should have made a new word , maybe even a new concept , to work within the dragon age setting. that maybe was specific to rivaini culture that taash heard from another lord of fortune and it felt right . idk. they could have integrated it better to the world of thedas. i felt.. pandered to . i felt like they were saying hey look, hey. hey thats you right. doesnt this make u feel seen and happy . please ignore the weird racism and focus on this
i could have loved taash i think. but i don't. i barely like taash. i feel like taash is a scapegoat. a mouthpiece. that sometimes taash says and does things that don't feel natural to the character cuz taash isnt talking, bioware is. this gets even worse when you take into account lord of fortune things like selling back cultural artifacts to the people they belong to and bioware going "dw its ethical and ok! trust us!" but they have taash say it and it feels wrong, off and weird. like.. out of character? idk it's strange.
taash is a strange character. i dont think bioware actually respected them as much ... i think they used bioware to push this weird anti qunari narrative and to pander to queer people while being weird and racist and idk. idkdidkdikdksoldfgjzsdlff
i need someone who isnt white and who is smarter than me and better at articulating than me to write a think piece on this. while i am the right person for the nonbinary stuff. theres pieces here i am not the right person for. and i dont wanna speak over anyone. or be the voice for anyone when i shouldnt be. but i will say ...
if i can see how gross this shit comes across , how on earth are the people of colour who are actually effected by this bullshit feeling? they shouldnt be exposed to this bullshit . bioware should do better. hire some diverse writers man . get ur shit checked and looked over by poc before u push it out. ur game shouldnt be hurting minorities . they deserve better than this shit STILL happening . ive got too many friends and mutuals pained over taashs story and angry about it. that aint right. it just aint right man
and yeah like i said i havent 100% finished it, it seems, but i dont see the majority of this changing or any of it . i am uhh "burnt" as it were, i do not think bioware can fix this feeling inside of me
this got rambly i hope it makes sense

decided to do the thingy and check whatever theories i believe/like according to this iceberg. honestly, da fandom should make an ask game out of it. there are some thoughts on it under the cut. i was reminded of it bc of this video, give it a shot, it's v interesting and well-made.
ok i checked everything in the first tier, but honesty, i'd like to give andrastians some crisis of faith and make their god a spirit and their prophet an elf or a dwarf. and most definitely she must be a mage. that would fit so nicely morally. don't like maker being a demon though, it would be too far stretched and gotcha, and the maker didn't seem malevolent.
i didn't check dwarf andraste because i don't remember the explanation behind it, but honestly, it's still curious.
i prefer skyhold being the place where solas created the veil over the solasan temple because i believe it would evaluate skyhold's significance beyond being just a fortress for a main character with some shady shit here and there.
i didn't check sandal being connected to a titan for pretty much the same reason i didn't cross stuff like sandal, or solas, or dumat being the maker, or andraste being connected to flemeth, or her straight up being mythal. connections here and there are interesting, but i don't enjoy over-connected plot points. they're fun for fucking around, but it's always better to have multiple complex scenarios and characters than to load this weight on a great few. leliana as the descendant of andraste, shartan anyhow connected to solas are also in this category. there were history and historical figures, i don't feel like it always needs to be associated with whatever figures thedas has now.
i crossed qunari being a result of the experiment, though i'm not sure about the implications because it may go even deeper into the selection stuff. ew. i'm even more not sure about that the qun might really be something to restrain their nature, it's just an unsettling theory with even worse implications. it would turn whatever the player was saying to the iron bull on its head, because suddenly qunari would be beasts that need to be controlled. as to their origin? i think it's still interesting that kossith were very different from modern qunari, and they could have been created by someone out of someone different and may have gone through the process of alteration due to the dragon-related stuff.
my understanding of the older lore is pretty common. evanuris are the actual old gods or at least have some type of a bond, the remaining two are the twins, so there would be a double blight. evanuris are captured and hidden in the sealed black city. since they'd hunted down titans, the latter created the blight and darkspawn, yada yada yada. i'm also not opposed to the idea that the taint ascended from the void. so it was something discovered by andruil. or she rather discovered titan's blood + the taint, i.e. red lyrium, since the taint doesn't cause the same symptoms as the red lyrium.
i like the idea of halla being sentient descendants of elves turned into them long time ago. it's even more sick if they're still not quite animals. it's not my canon, but that's cool. beings with consciousness suffering from their silence? yeah, definitely cool.
sera=andruil is also a pretty common one. i have a headcanon that solas is a creator of tarot cards as well, it seems to be quite in his style, and the boy loves drawing, too. considering that, sera's card would be an intentional thing.

Now I feel obligated to ask how you would envision Daniel (at any age) in the Dragon Age setting. Do you see him as a human, elf, dwarf, or Qunari? Would he be a mage or no? What country would he be from (Antiva seems obvious; the Tevinter Imperium is there for a different style of Italian inspiration, but I do not think he would thrive there...)? Would he fit into any of the game plots or would he just do his best to vibe while the world keeps going through multiple apocalypse events during his lifetime? Would Cobra Kai be part of any of the various organizations or their own little thing (the idea of Johnny being a templar fits but also makes me sad)? Would Daniel have the same level of antagonism with them regardless if he were a mage or not?
Holy crap, okay, thank you so much! Sorry to all other anons but this one is my favorite. XD
So, I thought about this very briefly once and then went “no, stop, you don’t need another AU.” And now I’m really thinking about it and, when I say that, I mean I'm gonna have to put it all under a cut lmao:
I would imagine Daniel as an elven mage who grew-up in a Dalish clan in the Free Marches. (They might've originated in Antiva but moved towards the Free Marches for Reasons.) Which clan? A made-up one lol. His father still died when he was young and maybe Daniel’s grandma is their Keeper. His mom is alive and actually was a city elf but was allowed into the clan because they liked her.
When Daniel came into his magic, it was very strong. He was supposed to become the First but there was a mage born before him who had that status already. So, Daniel was the Second and the clan was considered to be very lucky to have two mage children born into it.
When he was seventeen, the Blight happened overseas and Ferelden refugees came over to the Free Marches. He just happened to meet one of them, a human boy named Johnny. And then he met the other Cobras too. It wasn't totally antagonistic between them. Like, there's still gonna be kind of a rough start but they eventually get along. Daniel meets them near the end of the Blight, close to his eighteenth birthday.
Daniel's clan was traveling and Daniel wandered off because that’s what he usually did when they camped at a new place. He wasn’t a scout, though, just simply liked exploring the different areas. He discovered the humans and noticed one of them (probably Tommy) was sick. The others were worried it was somehow the Blight and Daniel overheard and knew that’s not what it was. He approached, showed them they were wrong and that Tommy had an infected wound. He helped them by healing it and then, well, another human passing by (probably Kreese, who I could see as a templar although he's a disgraced one and not part of the Order) saw an unknown elf “bothering” them and then he realizes Daniel's probably Dalish. He and some others attack Daniel (fearing him telling his clan about them or simply fear of Daniel possibly being a mage due to his lack of weapons and the fact that Tommy's wound is healed).
However, this is about the time everyone learns Johnny’s been a mage this whole time; he was an apostate hiding his status because his mom, Laura, taught him how to. She was an apostate too but died while they were trying to flee the Blight. She showed Johnny how to keep his magic in check and hide it from others. He was fighting with a mace and shield and still uses it even after his magic is found-out.
He helps Daniel by setting Kreese on fire (he survives although is badly burned) and they have to run away. But Daniel’s clan won’t let a human join them and Daniel’s not about to let the other humans hurt Johnny so they sneak into the camp, Daniel gets his stuff, and they flee together.
The other Cobras do catch-up to them, though, and offer to help. It’s a real offer too and so they all travel together. As time goes on, Johnny uses his magic more and becomes a force to be reckoned with. Daniel does too, of course. Don't fuck with any of them. XD
Where does Mr. Miyagi fit? No clue. Maybe he’d be a human who comes across them and teaches them some non-violent ways to defend themselves. After all, Daniel and Johnny are mages in a world that despises their kind. Daniel’s got it even worse being an elf on top of that. Daniel knows how to fight with his staff but Miyagi shows him some neat tricks. They part ways, though, because they have to stay on the move. But maybe they meet-up with him from time to time.
When Kirkwall explodes, they’re in Denerim. Tommy’s the one who hears about that and they all grimace because that can’t be good news for mages.
They’re in Redcliffe when the Breach happens. They were going to attend the Conclave but were anxious about being around so many people. They do go to Haven, though, to try to at least help the survivors and find-out what went on. They consider joining the Inquisition when it forms and decide to do so because it might offer them some protection from Kreese, who is still relentlessly trying to pursue them. They don't say anything about Kreese, though. They're kind of like Sutherland and Company but call themselves the Griffons because griffons were badass lol.
In my canon, Daniel would have a few things in common with my Inquisitor: being a Dalish elven mage from the Free Marches with at least one dead parent. (My Inquisitor's parents are both dead. Sorry, buddy. At least his clan survived!)
The question is, would all of the Cobras be humans? I can imagine Dutch as a dwarf. Maybe Jimmy as an elf or maybe even a half-elf, honestly, who tries to hide the half-elf side of him but his friends know about it. I could see Tommy as an elf. Maybe that’s why his wound really got infected: nobody besides his friends cared because he’s an elf. Tommy wouldn’t have hidden his ears. But Johnny and Bobby would totally be humans. Dutch and Bobby would be warriors; Dutch would wield a big axe (not just because he’s a dwarf lol) and Bobby would have a shield and sword. Tommy and Jimmy would be rogues with Jimmy being a melee fighter and Tommy being a ranged rogue. I accidentally created a balanced party lmao.
Specialization-wise, I could picture this: Tommy (Ranger, Assassin), Jimmy (Duelist, Tempest), Dutch (Berserker, Champion), Bobby (Champion, Guardian), Johnny (Battlemage, Force Mage), and Daniel (Arcane Warrior (Fade Shroud is my favorite thing), Spirit Healer). If Daniel was given a weapon, it would be a sword but he’d probably just stick with his bladed staff.

My personal DA4 wishlist + thoughts
I’ve been teasing this post for a couple of weeks over at Twitter, i’m the worst! But anyway, since game journalism has decided to confirm, once again, that the next Dragon Age game will be set in Tevinter like that’s breaking news, now’s as good a time as ever to write all this down.
Locations: Tevinter, clearly. It’s been pretty much a given since the end of Trespasser in 2015, with that scene where the Inquisitor stabs a map on a table directly on Tevinter as they promise to go after Solas to stop him. But also concept art and several stories from Tevinter Nights heavily imply Antiva, Nevarra, the Anderfells, and maybe Rivain. For those of you who don’t know your Thedosian Geography 101, that’s basically Northern Thedas. And it makes sense, since so far for three games straight we’ve been first stuck in Ferelden, then the coast of the Free Marches, and later the rest of Southern Thedas. We’ve never been North, only heard of it. So in DA4 i’m sure we will finally be able to visit.
Characters: If we’re going to Tevinter, we must meet Dorian again, maybe meet Maevaris Tilani as well (previously only seen in comics), judging from the latest comics series, i’m hoping for Fenris too. And going by the latest teaser trailer, we might see Varric again. As for characters that so far we have no news of, i’d like to see Cole, the Iron Bull, and if by any chance BioWare feels like blessing us with a Hawke/Fenris reunion i might just die happy.  I’d also very much like to see the Inquisitor, but more on that later.
Companions: considering concept art and the latest teaser trailer, plus Tevinter Nights stories and new characters, we have an interesting repertoire of new potential companions. A Tevinter mage, an ancient elf (like a temple guardian) or a dalish elf (like Strife), a Nevarran mortalitasi or spirit, Antivan Crows, Lords of Fortune (new faction, kind of like treasure hunters), Qunari lady, maybe an alchemist or shapeshifter, Grey Wardens (possibly a dwarf), a liberated or escaped slave, a Siccari (Tevinter spies/assassins)..even past agents of the Inquisition could return.
Plot: We know Solas wants to take down the Veil. We know there’s two archdemons left, and Grey Wardens are regaining some spotlight in concept art lately. We might have to fight on multiple fronts simultaneously and be strategic about it. Solas might even unleash a double Blight just to keep us distracted while he focus on his own goal, who knows. But many other things are happenig in the margins and all over the place. The Qunari Antaam is having a crisis with some of its members supposedly going rogue, the order they’re so proud of is breaking up, and the whole of Northern Thedas is facing an imminent threat of invasion. Tevinter is still dealing with remnants of the Venatori and might soon be dealing with a slaves rebellion and/or a political and social reform (Magisters Dorian and Maeveris have been working wirh the Lucerni, a group aiming to restore and redeem Tevinter). The Antivan Crows -the de facto rulers of Antiva - may be dealing with a succession crisis, as their First Talon, a powerful feared and respected but old lady, might not be around for much longer and seems her chosen heir has died before his time. Meanwhile in the Anderfells nobody’s heard anything from the Grey Wardens’ HQ at Weisshaupt since the end of Inquisition, and as told in the novel Last Flight, the sudden reappearance of griffons may have had something to do with that radio silence. So you see, get ready for another +100 hours long game because BW has plenty of stuff to keep us busy with. But in short, DA4 seems will be about primarily searching, finding, and dealing with Solas. Regardless of what you decided at the Exalted Council in Trespasser, the Inquisition or what’s left of it is most likely the group orchestrating that mission. As it was so clearly stated then, they need new people Solas doesn’t know so he can’t foresee their actions, so it’s possible the DA4 protagonist is a new agent or a third party hired to do what the Inner circle can’t due to their familiarity with Solas in the past. But at the same time -and this is assuming we get to find Solas in this game - i definitely think the Inquisitor could easily show up again. No, losing an arm doens’t mean they’ve retired forever, prosthetics do exist in Thedas, a world where you can combine dwarven craftmanship with enchantments, seriously, i don’t ever want to hear “but they lost an arm” ever again as an excuse to write them out. And no, marrying Cullen or joining the Red Jennys is no impediment to join the “Stop Solas” Squad; the end of Trespasser means something, mainly that this is personal. Be it they loved them as lovers, as friends or ended up hating his guts for using and betraying them, the Inquisitor’s relationship with Solas makes this very personal, and so having any other character do that face off would cheapen all of it, all that bittersweet angsty development and expectations of either revenge or closure. That moment should happen between those two. It adds a ton of motivation due to their past historyas well, something a new protagonist would lack entirely.  My personal best hope is for a sort of dual protagonist thing, say we play new protagonist for most of the game but a selected missions or scenes where we play as the Inquisitor once again and take over for key and heart-wrenching dialogue options. My second best hope is for the Inquisitor to show up as playable for the moment we catch up with Solas. My third and final best hope is for the inquisitor to be a sort of advisor but more like new protagonist’s boss/employer to whom they report back to and get new missions from. The Inquisitor can be stuck in meetings for the most part of it, i just want to know they’re there, behind a door, super busy but there. A cameo like Hawke’s in Inquisition is the bare miminum i can take, anyhting less than that like a mention in a sidequest description or a footnote in a codex entry would be a total  injustice.
Romances: I’m open for pretty much anything, as any good BW fan would be. But i’d like romances to feel more alive in the sense that they don’t abruptly get stuck once you exhaust all related quests and dialogue options. As much as my Adaar liked that spank from the Iron Bull, that it was the only thing they could share after their romance was locked was a bit..meh. I liked Dorian’s tho, because his gave one the option to talk a bit, go for a walk, gossip, and sure, it all happened off-screen, and there were limited possibilities, but it was nice and made their relationship feel a bit more real, like they had more to it than kissing and stuff. It happens in most games, once you secure a romanceable companion suddenly you run out of things to do and share with them, and you get stuck with the same 3 lines of dialogue over and over again. There should be a way of solving that.
Side quests: i’m ok with fetch quests initially as it is a good way of forcing the player to go out and explore huge maps, but i’d also like the fetching to have some meaning other than checking things off a list. I want to explore many ruins, and -can’t believe i’m actually saying this- i want a Fade quest. Wait! I know what you’re thinking but don’t kill me just yet, here’s my idea: what if we could visit the Fade at certain locations to witness memories or meet with spirits and recollect information on Solas, his past, his present? Both to understand him better (keep in mind we’ll most likely get a new protagonist who isn’t familiar with him like we are as players) and try to locate him or predict his next move. It would be i think i great way of having visions of Arlathan in its golden age, maybe seeing some of the other Evanuris, how they interacted with each other and with the elves in their service, what really happened ...i just want that sweet, sweet lore, i need it.
Technical stuff: ok, graphics will be amazing for sure, but i also would really really like: better, more varied and longer hairstyles, PLEASE. Body sliders, it’s damn time we get them. Mounts that actually make a difference! Let staves blades make damage in combat, I’M BEGGING HERE. Combined classes, MAGICAL ROGUES! A homebase we can fix up/build on/redecorate as fully as possible (Skyhold was great and i love it to pieces but why were those walls NEVER repaired????) . More casual outfit options, idk i love to dress up my characters, maybe some transmog? A day/night cycle and please i would love to see Thedas’ second moon, also weather variations depending on the region. Yes, i’m ambitious.
Gameplay: i’d like more AI options for companions, but not quite like in DAO, that was too much and i rarely used it. I’m curious how they’ll do combat this time but i know for sure i don’t want the kind of combat that has me going almost frame by frame pausing at every second, it’s annoying for me. I want large areas like in DAI but with a bit more stuff to see and do although one of my favourite maps is the Hissing Wastes so i won’t complain if we get a literal desert but i’d also like it to have secrets hidden around, make me work to find and solve them, i love exploring, i jump and click on EVERYTHING like i’m still a kid playing Monkey Island. A companion in concept art seems to be holding what looks like some form of rifle, so i’m curious how they’d incorporate that in the game. I know Tevinter has the magics and dwarves have the skill, a firearm is totally within the possibilities in-game without breaking any lore; also super curious what sort of skill trees Crows or Lords of Fortune could have, are they rogues, or warriors, or both??
So far, that’s what i got in my head.Well, most of it anyways, i may have missed something but this post has to end somewhere lol
What’s in your head? Feel free to share! Have you been thinking on how you’ll create your next protagonist? All i can think of is magical rogues and that  glowing bow was all the hype i needed.

a fuckton of things i want in da4
a few words censored bc tumblr will swallow this in the void if i dont. long ass fuck list ahead
a romanceable dwarf
more romanceable elves/qunari
more elf/qunari/dwarf companions
consistent writing for once
more nb representation
good hair. please just give me good hair options. give me long hair. give me luxurious flowing locks. give me braids. give me good fucking hair options
let me shittalk the chantry
dalish elf npcs that impact the plot in unique ways
dalish elf companions that are proud of being dalish
if it is set in tevinter maybe uh. maybe address the issue of systemic oppression (and slavery) of elves???????
a return of the friendship/rivalry system in da2 but improved. maybe instead of a friendship rivalry sliding scale its friendship/rivalry/animosity sliding scale. bc rivalry is more like. two people pushing each other to be better than they were before. friendly competition. hes an idiot but hes my idiot kind of deal. animosity would be just regular disapproval. i liked the crisis cutscenes in dai so high animosity would be the same as low approval and might make the companion leave still, but theres more variety with high approval. high approval “friendship” would be the “were best friends and we share many opinions and agree on almost everything” while high approval “rivalry” being “we disagree on almost everything but goddamn it youre my friend and ill follow you into the fade if i have to” so you can have a high approval with someone instead of being a kissass
actions and choices having consequences again
multiple endings again (epilogue slideshows dont count)
dialogue wheels with descriptions that match what you actually say
characters from rivain, antiva, anderfels, etc
gifts. bring back the gifts. i want to give my companions gifts
maybe. maybe a focus of non-andrastian religion for once?
let me shittalk the chantry
i know its a stretch, but maybe. diverse skin colours. please?
nd characters that are written respectfully and treated w dignity
please bring back the talent wheel from dao and da2
more bi romance options
more wlw romance options
more mlm romance options
ace romance options
nb romance options
background romances
let me shittalk the chantry
far fetched but maybe a polycule?
i lowkey LOVED the fast-paced feel of da2s combat so maybe bring that back in some form? maybe improved to mesh with the tactics of dai to give players absolute freedom of playstyle whether they want to be like me and rush into every encounter or play more strategically
companions with unique companion abilities
would be nice to explore cities
would be nice if the open world were a little smaller so it doesnt feel empty all the gd time
more mage spells. mages felt like just another class of fighter to me in dai. they dont really have any awe-inducing wow factor like in dao or even da2. if the narrative wants me to believe that mages are powerful and dangerous and that it takes multiple templars to hunt down an apostate, maybe show that? give me strong mages
remove the jump ability. its pointless
a narrative that addresses the oppression that the chantry and templars perpetuated please
bring back the attributes
make the choices in dai matter. mages governing themselves? i wanna see that
let me shittalk the chantry
please bring back the healing magic for fucks sakes
multi-class system between rogues and warriors?
multiple specialisations that feel like specialisations and not just skill tree+
player-only skill trees
hardening
companion quests that affect their abilities and further dialogue
actual morally grey choices instead of this stupid mage freedom vs templar oppression narrative that is in no way morally grey but is presented as such and thus leaves the conflicts and narratives set up by dao and da2 to be fucking meaningless
bring back the tactics
would be nice to have an origins-esque prologue again. maybe one that would determine future events in game just to give your character better narrative cohesion with the plot
an approval/disapproval system but for companions with other companions. bringing certain companions together may bring them closer or make them pissed off with each other which affects banter maybe quests maybe combat
give me a fucking mabari bioware. give me back my fucking mabari
day/night cycle
a nightmare mode where you have to finish the main quest on a time limit. it is absurd that dai expects me to believe that i have all this time to do wartable missions that can take literal real life DAYS to finish and still thwart corypheus’ plans in time. bullshit
that said. no more wartable missions. waiting for a countdown to finish isnt very fun
let me shittalk the chantry
kal-sharok. ive been hearing about it since dao let me fucking see kal-sharok
dwarven politics
politics in general. my fav dao quest was the succession crisis plotline in orzammar/the landsmeet and wewh in dai
npcs i can talk to. even with generic dialogue like in dao. makes the world more alive
using the environment to your advantage. far fetched but i would love to be able to pull down boulders if were in the mountains or freeze water to get to places as a mage
home base customisation but the customisation choices you make actually. mean something. and do something. or at the very least give more companion dialogue/banter/approval change
laconic and ergonomic codexes. like. sorted by what kind of codex it is, etc etc but then you just get a brief summary of the codex and the option to read more about it so i dont spend eternity scrolling through cards looking for a specific codex entry. cool aesthetic dont get me wrong but real irritating to deal with. also. maybe. the pc making comments about the codex if you do read more about it? like a dalish elf saying “they got it all wrong” when reading a codex about dalish elves written by a human??? that would a) give character to the pc b) incentivise people to actually read the codex to see what was so wrong about it c) summarise the codex for people who want to learn the lore but dont want to spent the entire game reading text
maybe have the merchants in your home base close to crafting stations so you dont have to take a fucking hike if you miscounted the amount of elfroot you need?
let me shittalk the chantry
avvar companion maybe??? interesting lore right there
bring back stat requirements for weapons and remove the class restriction for most shit. obviously a dagger would be better for a rogue than a longsword and a mage would do better with a staff than a sword and shield but its not about efficiency. its about the roleplay. its about the options. give me the option to make a mage with wildly inappropriate stat distribution
bring back sustained mode abilities
traps. bring back traps. bring back the option to stealth into an area, trap the fuck out of it, and go from there
have the three available classes in kind of a rock paper scissors scenario. warriors do real well against rogues who do real well against mages who do real well against warriors. so you can plan your party depending on who/what youll face AND how much their approval will change during the quest you take them on
let me shittalk the chantry
actually resolve the plot points introduced in dai
a more threatening villain. the inquisitor thwarted every attempt made by corypheus in dai. he was not threatening at all
queer characters. background, companions, etc. queer characters
mounts were meh in dai. maybe. make them faster? or less cumbersome? or have your companions on mounts too so theres still banter?
i liked the armour tinting. let me have armour tinting from the beginning
i would really like mages to move and attack at the same time bc lowkey standing in one spot is uhhhhhhh kinda boring
let me check companions friendship/rivalry levels
would be nice if the narrative acknowledged that elves suffered greatly at the hands of the chantry and stopped victim-blaming them
more taverns. specifically like tapsters in dao where theres a dwarf just reciting something in a language i cant understand and if you look its a ballad/poet about dwarven culture and that was a real nice touch let me have that
dalish elf clan. dalish elf clan that does not get murdered please and thank you
meaningful quests. more cinematic dialogue
make found gear / quest reward gear more valuable than crafted gear
game modifiers like in dai were real nice. i want more
let me shittalk the chantry
quests that can be resolved in multiple ways. like connors fate in dao. and for those ways to impact further quests
companions with varying moral alignments
companions that are mutually exclusive (like alistair and loghain) but are both good companions so itd really make you think
a pc that IS NOT a “chosen one” vanilla da2 is my fav dragon age game for one reason and one reason only and that is because hawke is just some random refugee who escaped lothering. no chosen one magic at all. just an ordinary person who is a real good fighter. and that appealed to me more than this “you are the only one who can do it” narrative
let me meet more elvhen gods
if the setting is in tevinter, GIVE ME FUCKING ARCHITECTURE. give me the high spires, the archways, the buttresses, give me statues lining city gates and magic infused into the buildings. tevinter is a land ruled by MAGES give me magical architecture. give me floating buildings. give me fire floating as orbs above the streets like lamps. GIVE ME ARCHITECTURE
SHALE
let me shittalk the chantry
PIERCINGS GIVE ME FUCKING PIERCINGS BIOWARE
more main quests, longer main quests
if it is set in tevinter maybe. maybe address the fact that tevinter has been at war with the qunari for a while? on and off war is still war. and maybe give us the option to influence the outcome of that war?
more voice options. instead of just american voice or british voice, do the thing in dao again where there are multiple voices of different tones to further cement the pcs personality
more armour designs
biased but uh. can. can taliesen jaffe va a character?
i already said qunari companions but specifically saarebas companions
blood magic
FINISHING MOVE ANIMATIONS
please do not let it be as long as inquisition. inquisition was a SLOG in later playthroughs
body sliders. what if i want a tall but lanky qunari? what if i want a buff as shit elf? body sliders
more eye options
let me call out companions
btw bioware. if you really wanted cullen to be a good guy. maybe handle his fucking redemption arc a little better instead of retconning all the terrible and creepy shit hes done in the past k thx
can female walk/run animations not have. so much swaying hips? no one moves like that
personality dialogue that affects future dialogue like in da2 but meshed with the wider range of emotions introduced by dai
keep the race/s*x lock on romance candidates like in dai. keep the fact that some characters can only be romanced by certain races or s*xes
nb and genderqueer options for the pc
cutscenes of companions interacting
ngl i lowkey liked the random encounters of dao so maybe bring that back
my fav quest in dao is the landsmeet / orzammar succession crisis questline but you know whats my second favourite? the rescue mission if the warden gets captured and you have to play as your party members. give me that again
more creepy/dark shit. dai was too lighthearted for me esp after da2 and dao
let me shittalk the chantry
broodmothers. in hd.
red lyrium broodmothers. in hd
companions with different backgrounds. different faiths. different statuses. different families. etc
maybe make the pcs appearance make an impact on the story? like how bull says he likes redheads, but even if you are a redhead, he says nothing about it????? maybe keep track of which slider the player picks so that can affect the story?
i love my inquisitors but maybe. dont. bring the inquisitor in as anything more than an advisor/npc in this game? let me fall in love with a new pc???
if theres gonna be a homebase like skyhold where youre not in armor. maybe give us better clothing?
a kind of gear skin mechanic similar to ac:odyssey where you can change how the gear looks but keep the stats. so you can equip that higher level armour and keep the look and aesthetic of your old armour and you unlock the skins/looks of the armours you discover/make so you can be both powerful AND aesthetic
i enjoyed the nobility/underworld/arcane/etc knowledge in dai unlocking more dialogue options so maybe keep/expand on that but make it more accessible by side missions or companions or something that isnt the abysmal perk system in dai
let me shittalk the chantry
customisable walking animations. does the pc walk straightbacked? slouched? with a swagger? please
since there will undoubtedly be an obligatory fade sequence, maybe have an option for nightmare demons that ARENT spiders. thank you
slap on subtitles and conlang some languages. i want to hear elvish. i want to hear tevene. give me the languages
more dragons. esp if they look vastly different
more bard songs
i am completely biased here, but i would like to hear laura bailey as a va for a character. preferably a voice option for the pc
hey maybe have the true ending actually included in the base game and not in a dlc (tresppasser cough cough)
better val royeaux
please remove the had to do it to em idle animation tis distracting
on that note, more idle animations. maybe some unique to companions?
very trivial but. unique stair climbing/descending animation
bring back talking to companions on the road. maybe with some dialogue that can only be said on the road???
if banter is interrupted, make like rdr2 and pick up where the banter left off
more vallaslin designs please?
if theres another formal scene like dai maybe. give us. decent clothing. or better yet, decen clothing OPTIONS. i wanna decide how i look in a ball full of haughty orlesians
mage vs templar conflict resolved and addressed please. it is NOT resolved in dai. what we got was sequel bait and a slideshow. resolve it please
let me shittalk the chantry
a pro-mage anti-circle circle mage companion like anders
religious person who doesnt victim-blame elves in the codex or in game or anywhere please
characters more like leliana who question the chantry and acknowledge its corruption and greed
unapologetically sapphic companion
idc if its tevinter i dont want to fucking see queer people being disrespected
a true tal-vashoth companion, one who escaped from the qun
have quest decisions affect whether or not a companion will turn hostile to you or not
if IF solas will be redeemed, please do the redemption arc right
more horn options for qunari
an apostate mage who doesnt use me for their personal agenda whilst hiding something from me (morrigan, anders, solas) thanks
i really dig the whole “leader of an army” thing dai was trying to go for. but you didnt actually. lead. anything. would be nice to have that option. command soldiers. send them places that affect further quests. would even use the wartable for its intended purpose. planning wars. battles. like. you get sent word that there are bandits harassing villagers. you can set up an ambush with your soldiers or confront them headon, and theres a new mini-location on the map like the manor you meet vivienne in where you can go deal with the bandits and depending on your choices, there are actually soldiers with you in a field, or traps in a narrow pass, or even in a city. id rather the wartable shit dont return but if they have to, at least this way youre not just waiting real life time for a bunch of text to appear
i am real fucking excited for the possibility that da4 companions can just fucking die on you. good shit. give me that angst
missions that certain companions would refuse to go with you to. you know. so you actually have to use other members of your party instead of the same 3 (three) people all the goddamn time
disabled characters (i want a character who suffers from the same chronic bad leg disease as i do is that too much to ask)
kinda touched on by the da2 combat point but let me do close combat damage with the staff
no multiplayer. and if there is a multiplayer, dont tie it with achievements
let me fucking explore weisshaupt
(i dont think solas will be the endgame villain of da and i dont think da4 will be the last da game but still) again. for emphasis. resolve the plot points dai brought up
full-body scars and tattoo options
companions and npcs changing their opinions about things over time. eg: a pro-circle mage wanting instead for circles to be abolished after a specific side mission or a main quest decision etc
keep the multiple companion quests. and maybe change what kinds of companion quests are available further down depending on choices made in previous companion quests
please for fucks sake give us more characters of colour
let me shittalk the chantry

newfragile yellows [1028]
It was a joke. or at least, it started out as a joke. In Bull’s mind it still is a joke, but one he’s beholden to.
Bull’s got about twenty people who live at his branch of the Herald’s Rest who can and will drop everything they’re doing on the spot to talk loudly, expansively, and enthusiastically about how easy he is. He’s not. He’s got standards. But he’ll admit that his standards for going to bed with a person aren’t the same as most other’s. And going to bed with someone, in his books, doesn’t lead to a marriage. It doesn’t even lead to a good morning usually.
Sex is sex.
It’s an act contained to itself. It isn’t the start of something or the end of something or a milestone or an achievement. It’s just sex.
It can make you feel good and relaxed. It can ease off your tension and help you forget your troubles for a bit.
And for the most part his partners are down for that. No strings attached sex. No promises for the future, no expectations for something more. They get what they signed up for.
But there are other people who do expect something else. They think, for whatever reason, that they’re gonna change him or something. They’ll be so fantastic in bed he’ll be addicted or intrigued or whatever. Bull might be very good at breaking people apart but some things are beyond explanation. Bull doesn’t bother trying.
There have been instances (multiple) where he’s been approached by people he has or hasn’t slept with before and demands for dinner, or lunch, or — something. Dates. Basically.
As though he owes them his time. His effort. His attention.
That? He isn’t alright with. That? He’s never agreed to. That? He has never put on the table for anyone.
Bull says no. He always says no. And then it became like a little game for some people. Who can make the Qunari fall in love. Who can domesticate him and make him their partner?
It got to a point where it was genuinely interfering with Bull’s business.
Grim came up with it. Bull’s the guild master for the Chargers, he runs an Inquisition branch of the Herald’s Rest. If someone wants something from Bull, wouldn’t it make sense that they had to earn it?
Make it a quest.
If someone wants to date Bull — for whatever reason — then they have to prove themselves first. He’s the Iron Bull. Why would he make things easy? Why should he just date anyone? He’s a high ranking adventurer in a high ranking post with the highest ranking guild alliance in southern Thedas.
Bull had initially thought just putting up on the quest board would be the end of it. He didn’t think people would actually try it.
The three parts had been his idea. Three is a traditional number. It’s a good story. It’s a good pace. Part one would be easy enough. Gather herbs for his blend of vitaar. It saves him time and money.
Part two would be much harder. That one would be harder to pull off if you weren’t serious, if you weren’t trying, if you didn’t really want it —
Get one stone’s worth of fade touched hide. Whole. Intact. It didn’t have to be processed or turned into anything — but it had to be whole. It could be multiple hides. But they all had to be perfect.
That one’s harder to do. That one’s more dangerous.
He’s only had a handful of people pass that bar.
And all of them did it on purpose.
“Are you kidding?” Bull asks as he watches Skinner and Aclassi struggle to put away the giant hide of a fade touched Great Bear. “Those don’t even come around here.”
“Nah, they sometimes come over the mountain,” Aclassi grunts as they heft the thick hide onto a wooden table to begin the thankless job of preparing it for processing. “This one’s a good one. Fattened up a little after spring thaw. Must not be very old, not much by the way of scars.”
Bull doesn’t need to get closer to check it. He can tell from here. The person who did this knows their way around a knife. It’s a perfect job. No tears, no snags, no jagged cuts.
“Who was it?” Bull asks.
“Ellana Lavellan,” Skinner says. She glances over her shoulder, eyes glittering with amusement. “It was an accident this time, as well.”
“What?” Bull’s eye narrows. First one he can excuse for an accident. This one? “No.”
“Yes,” Aclassi says. “She came in to collect the reward for a different quest. Then she asked if we buy and process hides here and what our rates were. Said yes. Pulled this out. I think Dalish choked so hard she turned purple. Had to get Stitches to come up front to process the payment.”
“Did she get payment for the quest?”
“Yeah. Explained it to her that she could get the rewards for that one, too, since she technically qualified. Since the reward was just a voucher for a meal and a free room for the night she took it.”
“She’s still here?” Bull asks, halfway turned towards the door to go to the front of the guild hall and track down this adventurer so he can finally see her face.
“Nope,” Aclassi pops the syllables obnoxiously. More obnoxious than usual. Prick. “Took it and said she’d use it later. She has another job to do and she wanted to pop by, restock, and get going. Busy busy. I bet she’s going to advance in rank soon. That’d make her — what. Skinner, was she B rank?”
“Rocky pulled her records,” Skinner says as she runs her hand through a tangle of fur on the hide to straighten it out, “She’s upper B. I wager she’ll probably hit rank A by the end of the year if she keeps at a steady pace.”
Skinner smirks. “That’s qualify her for part three, wouldn’t it?”
Bull glares at the two of them.
“She isn’t doing it on purpose. She isn’t going to do part three.” Bull turns to find Grim and see if he knows where Skinner’s stashed the records she had pulled. Maybe he should write to Leliana. “And ship that thing off to de Fer for handling. We owe her for that exchange a few months ago and I don’t want that hanging over my head longer than it has to.”

My dragon age reviews:
Dragon age origins: probably the worst of the series, all the models look the same which I suppose you cant help since it was made in 2008, uncomfortably white, like darker skin looked terrible in the way the game was rendered. The voice acting was...ok... the way they pronounced elvhen words was hilarious and sad I'm glad they changed it. Female armour looked disgusting, so much 2008 sexism for no reason. Combat wasnt too bad, just slow, multiple injury kits and health potions were annoying, took up inventory space. Boring bosses, pretty cool monster designs, super super long, it's the second longest game and it feels so so slow. Epic lore tho I loved checking out orzammer. Desire demon designs make me uncomfortable. Sex scenes the most uncomfortable and cheesiest thing I've ever witnessed 5/10 would reccomend playing if you were a diehard fan if not...dont even worry abt it
Dragon age 2: THE BEST GAME, phenomenal voice acting, same monster designs as origins but some of the npcs looked different, QUNARI WERE SO COOL the arishok was a really hard and tedious boss fight but it was still epic. Really hard battles, and good combat. Incredible banter, I loved ALL the companions. Disappointing you could only play as a human. Better armour designs, annoying you couldnt customize your companions armour. I really enjoyed the friendship/rivalry instead of the approval/disapproval system for companions. Literally the coolest boss fight I've ever done, meredith was rad. Shortest game :(, timeskips were annoying imo. I really like being able to play as a blue/purple/red Hawke, the visuals on the wheel really helped me, I dont always know if the choice I'm making is unintentionally rude until the PC actually says it out loud so that was helpful. Definitely not a new player friendly game which is sad. You were stuck in one city which was >:/ but understandable. Finding companion quests confused me, you had to bring certain companions to certain areas to trigger quests, I also thought having a non camp approach to talking to companions was annoying I'm glad they switched it back to how origins approached it. 10/10
Dragon age inquisition: probably the most beautiful game, incredible scenery and armour and npc designs, facial animation was a little odd but not as gross as origins. Very new player friendly! Epic companions and you learn more of the qunari from the iron bull. TRANS CHARACTER!!!!! companions had really confusing morals and ideas probably to assume bioware's """""grey morality""""" (like sera hating elves despite them being the little people she helps). Option to side with the templars sucked. Cullen was in there even though he SUCKS. Really fun quests tho, I loved crestwood and the winter palace. kind of a boring main plot compared to the others but what can you do, I really liked learning more abt the divine. Largest areas to explore, and longest game in the series though it doesnt feel that way. Disgustingly boring bosses and enemy designs. Combat and mechanics were so easy it was almost boring. The game feels rushed, theres loop holes and like empty words.... the trespasser dlc had such important content pertaining to the main and next game that it should have been a part of the game and not a DLC 8/10

DA 20 Questions
Tagged by @goblin-deity ! Thank you fam! If anyone wants to be tagged consider yourself tagged!
1. Favorite game of the series
Inquisition! It’s the one I started with! It’s an amazing and beautiful game.
2. How did you discover Dragon Age?
There was a cosplayer I used to follow here on tumblr that cosplayed as this character named Dorian, and then they cosplayed as Fenris. I looked into both characters because I really liked the designs. From there I checked out the game from the library and fell in love with DAI!
3. How many times have you played the games?
I’ve played DAI too many times to count, I can probably count on my pc, which is a handful of times, otherwise on my ps4 at least 25. DA2 I’ve completed exactly twice, played it four times. DA:O I’ve completed exactly once, but played multiple times, like three times I think.
4. Favorite race to play as?
Elves or qunari!
5. Favorite class?
I absolutely love mages, always have. In DAI I play as a necromancer or knight enchanter, in DA2 I play as a blood mage or a spirit healer. I have a harder time playing as one in Origins, but I usually play as a blood mage or an arcane warrior. Other than that I play as a Double Handed Warrior, usually a Reaver or some other scary subclass lmao.
6. Do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions?
In general I usually make the same choices kind of? Mostly because I can’t push myself to ally with the templars. I do edit my canons outside of the actual games, like Calliope allies with the Mages but they do end up saving the templars as well, just after they get to Skyhold. Artemaeus, my city elf who was adopted by the Dalish, sided with the mages but left the templars to fend for themselves (save for Barris who did not deserve to die). Honi, my Adaar, sided with the mages and conscripted the templars, she was pretty harsh on them but decided that both sides could benefit from coming together. In general I haven’t changed my stance on the Grey Wardens, it wasn’t their fault that Clarel had a moment of weakness in being manipulated and I couldn’t find my Inquisitors justifying anger towards them enough to banish them. With Halamshiral I can’t in any way place Celene on the throne, it’s just my personal thing. After reading Masked Empire I said nah. But if ya like her that’s cool. I don’t usually have someone drink from the Well, I considered it with Callie, but I felt that shit could go down from a Solas perspective and I was not about that angst.
7. Go to adventuring party?
1st World State: Tauriel Mahariel /Ophelia Hawke/ Calliope Lavellan
DAO: Alistair/Zevran or Leliana/Morrigan or Wynne
DA2 (When I need Anders): Anders/ Aveline/ interchangeable rogue
DA2 (When I need Fenris): Fenris/ Sebastian or Varric / Merrill
DAI (Base Game): Solas/ Sera or Cole/ Iron Bull
DAI (Hakkon): Dorian/ Iron Bull/ Sera or Cole
DAI (Descent): Vivienne/ Iron Bull/ Sera
DAI (Trespasser): Dorian /Iron Bull / Interchangeable rogue
2nd World State: Aviel Tabris / Valentyne Hawke / Honi Adaar
DAO: Alistair / Leliana or Zevran / Wynne
DA2: Anders (or Merrill)/ Isabela / Fenris (or Aveline)
DAI: Dorian (or Vivienne) / Sera / Iron Bull (or Blackwall)
3rd World State: Mah’Vir Surana / Sparrow Hawke / Artemaeus Lavellan
DAO: Zevran / Morrigan / Alistair (or Sten)
DA2: Fenris / Merrill (or Anders) / Interchangeable Rogue
DAI: Dorian (or Solas) / Cole or Sera / Cassandra
8. Which of your characters did you put the most thought into?
Calliope 100%, I put most of the thought into my first world state characters. Tauriel was the easiest to make and her canon hasn’t changed much, same with Ophelia, but all three of my heroes were well, well thought out. I’ve had four or five years of making them under my belt.
9. Favorite romance?
For angst, absolutely Solas. You can’t get much more angsty than that. Other than that my most favorite romance is Fenris’, he’s a character that I love greatly and as a sexual abuse survivor with PTSD I related to him a lot lmao.
10. Have you read any of the comics/books?
I have all of the books except for Last/First Flight (?), I’m currently reading Masked Empire. I also have the World of Thedas Volume...2? And I have the first Magekiller comic.
11. If you’ve read them, which was your favorite book?
Masked Empire for sure, it’s because I love Felassan.
12. Favorite DLC’s?
Trespasser or Jaws of Hakkon, I absolutely love the stories in both. I’m also biased towards my favorite of the series/I love killing Dragons. And Veil Quartz, I love Veil Quartz.
13. Things that annoy you?
The fandom mostly. I fucking hate some of y’all shits. I hate the lack of rep too, they did fucking great in DA2 with almost every LI being bisexual. Could have done that with DAI with the straight LI’s but, shrugs. Other than that I don’t hate it much.
14. Orlais or Ferelden?
Orlais, it has the Emerald Graves and I love big ass trees.
15. Templars or mages?
Is that even a question? Mages
16.  If you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one?
I have three separate world states, and then an AU with @trans-aloth . Calliope’s has at least 25 separate oc’s in it because I’m a fucking menace. Other than that they usually stay seperate. Alexx and I combined worldstates with Cianan and Callies for that AU.
17. What did you name your pets?
I only have names for Calliopes world state pets, but I will def name the rest of the others when I play.
Tauriel: Kili (mabari)
Cassiopeia: Ser Claws (mabari)
Merielle: Howl (mabari)
Serynn: Athena (mabari)
Fen’Asha: Pluto (mabari)
Ophelia: Willoughby (mabari)
Calliope: Bones (Deepstalker) , Enasalin (Dracolisk)
18. Have you installed any mods?
I did way back when I thought my computer could handle it. Still got all of them downloaded but I play primarily on my ps4 or ps3.
19. Did your Warden want to be a Grey Warden?
Tauriel had accepted the fact that she needed to become a Warden and only was angry about it when Duncan said that it was no place for the children. She managed to convince him to let her take them however. Cassie did not want to become a Warden and fought it tooth and nail, but had nowhere else to go. Serynn had accepted it wholeheartedly, it wasn’t much of an issue. Merielle wanted to get out of the Circle but was difficult in taking the Ritual because she didn’t like the fatality rate. Fen’Asha was also in that same boat and at first saw it as another injustice.
20. Hawke’s personality?
Ophelia is a securely purple unless dealing with templars, then it’s Red through and through. Halcyon (their eldest sister) is a Red Hawke, Blue with her family, and Hero is a Blue Hawke, Red with templars.
21. Did you make matching armor for your companions in Inquistion?
Yes! I usually do! I use a gold/red/black color scheme, so it involves a lot of fucking Dragon Bone.
22. If your character could go back in time and change one thing what would it be?
Tauriel would have gone back and saved Tamlen. She would have insisted that they look for him and at the very least if they found him they would make him a Grey Warden too. If that wasn’t an option she’d make sure Evra and Krie didn’t get traumatized by the fact their father was killed by a mirror of all things.
Ophelia would go back in time and watch their mother more closely, or perhaps ask Carver not to go to the Deep Roads with them. Leandra’s death was the hardest thing they ever had to go through aside from handing Carver over to the Grey Wardens. The estate just felt so empty without Leandra.
Calliope would go back in time and save their best friend from being taken by the templars. But they also realize that things would have been vastly different or the both of them that way. And they also realize that they were pretty young when Isi was taken from the Clan, they wouldn’t have been able to do much. It’s just something that haunts them to this day.
23. Do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon?
Calliope is a mage and a warrior, SO I MEAN. Calliope’s home clan is also from Orlais and their mother is a former slave from Tevinter who then went to the Kirkwall Circle after being captured in the Free Marches.Other than that they end up with a First Enchanter that’s an oc of @trans-aloth ‘s. I also have an oc that ends up with Varric, because I have a distaste for the real life Bianca. Tauriel also ends up in a poly relationship with Cassiopeia and Alistair. Other than that, Alistair, Zevran, and several other people are trans.
24. Who did you leave in the Fade?
Stroud, all three times.
25. Favorite mount?
Dracolisk’s or any of the Harts, I love ugly boys and giant elk.

Dragon Age questions
!!!!!!!!!!! i was tagged by the lovely @bitchesofostwick (thank you so much!!!) and i’m not tagging anyone because i’m late to this (sorry, i didn’t do it immediately when i saw it and in my usual fashion i forgot for a few days. >_>) so i know basically everyone i would tag has already been tagged. but anyway, let’s get on with it!!
p.s. this’ll be long because i ramble. ❤️
01) favorite game of the series? i’d say inquisition, probably. i rather like the character creator and the open-world feel of it. i like the gameplay of it too. it also gets bonus points because it’s the only game i know how to mod even a little, which makes me happy because i can get characters that are 100% unique to me. :]
02) how did you discover Dragon Age? Shit, nearly a decade ago i remember finding this disc for a game called Dragon Age: Origins lying around one day. it was my brother’s and i can’t remember where he said he got it, but anyway it was damaged and wouldn’t play anyway. i didn’t give a rat’s ass about it tbh. my thoughts of it went no further. it wasn’t until about three years later that my brother bought it for the 360 and i saw him play a bit and then learned that there was a character creator and I FUCKING LIVED (AND STILL DO) for games with character creators. so my happy ass started playing!!!! (that was the very first version of my Tabris, Lark!) shortly after that i purchased it for PC and the rest is history!
03) how many times you’ve played the games? I’ve completed Origins only once. I’ve started a few playthroughs, but i’ve never gotten very far. :/ oh, and i also completed Awakening once. i’ve completed DA2 i believe twice. Again, i’ve started multiple playthroughs, just never finished them all. and basically the same for Inquisition, tbh. i’ve done one playthrough without Trespasser and one with. OR i might have just loaded up the finished save and played Trespasser when i bought it. xD in any case i’ve played each game through at least once.
04) favorite race to play as? i don’t really see it as favorites? in Inquisition i’ve technically created a couple characters for each race (except a dwarf. haven’t gotten around to making a dwarf quizzy yet) but most of them are just “throwaway” characters that i make to romance people because i want to try all the romances but i can’t make every character i create into like, a character character, that exists fully in my head and outside the game. so any characters you hear about from me are ones that have really stuck out to me in one way or another. anyway the only warden i ever made that mattered any was Lark, who is of course an elf. i like them all tbh! i was rather excited about being able to play a badass qunari chick, though! (even though my first character was a human. go figure.)
05) favorite class? mage!!!!! when first played Origins i made Lark a warrior. idk for sure why, but i think it was because i didn’t want a character in the Circle. i wanted a city elf. idk why i picked warrior over rogue though. my first Hawke was a warrior. again, idk why. my second Hawke was a mage, and I. FELL. IN. LOVE. i loved the fighting animations, i loved the spells, i just…. i loved. when i finally was able to play DAI (which was a few years after it was released) my first character was a mage. again, i loved it. however, when i went back to DAO at one point and tried being a mage i was not a fan of it. i didn’t like the way it played. BUT OVERALL my favorite is definitely mage. :]
06) do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions each time? the same. it might be sad and pitiful, but in-game decisions give me real-world feelings and anxiety so i just make the decisions that stay in my comfort zone. :] sometimes i’m brave and try different things, but for the most part i make the same decisions.
07) go-to adventuring group? Disclaimer: if applicable, i take my LI everywhere i go. :] i honestly try to take a variety of people because i want a balanced team as much as possible. i’m also a very casual player, so i don’t use the tactical camera or like, the behavior patterns or anything. i leave everything default. so i try to mix and match and come up with a team that i feel best compliments my character’s class/abilities or whatever, without me having to babysit them or really do any work in regards to that. that AND i like to hear the different banters tbh. when i’m picking my team sometimes i’ll stop and think, “omg, what is [character] and [character]’s relationship really like??? i never take them together so i don’t know!!” so i’ll expand my horizons and take groups of companions that i don’t normally take together. that being said, I LOVE ALL THE COMPANIONS ALL THE TIME SO I DON’T PLAY FAVORITES. :]
08) which of your characters did you put the most thought into? Probably Sydnie, because she was the first game character that really developed into an OC. the first one i really wanted to try writing for. my first Inquisitor. :] she was the first (game) character that, as i was playing, i really sat and thought, “what would this living being with a soul do when presented with this situation?” instead of just clicking whatever. xD anyway, ideas just came flying at me when i thought about her. overall i feel like she’s very underdeveloped still as far as character’s go, but i love her and i’ve been thinking a lot more about her lately. i’d really love to finish writing something for her eventually. xD
09) favorite romance? oh man, idk. tbh i’ve not finished all of the romances so a part of me wants to be like, “i can’t really answer this tbh”. Lark romanced Alistair, and it was cute and i love them. (i’ve toyed with the idea of writing some stuff for them and it’d be so cute if i could actually get my ass into gear.) i really liked Fenris’s romance (and DA2 was the only game that i played through more than one companion’s romance.) and Cullen is the only one i’ve completed a romance for in DAI, though i played most of Josie’s and i’m love. :] honestly i really do feel like there really isn’t an answer from me for this one. sorry! D:
10) have you read any of the comics/books? nope. i was thinking of maybe getting The Masked Empire but i haven’t fully decided yet. i unfortunately don’t read books much these days. (i’d rather be on my comp playing games or arting or maybe reading fic!!)
11) if you read them, which was your favorite book? n/a
12) favorite DLCs? i am so fucking ambivalent wtf. seriously, people. i’m coming to learn that there are few things i have an actual feelings on either way. -___- Trespasser is the only big DLC i own and i fucking hate it. it’s great and all but i kind of cried at the end so whatever. :] but honestly i really really like the Spoils of the Qunari DLC!!!!! the antaam-saar!!!!!! (i think i spelled it right idk i’m too lazy to check please forgive me) and the mount!!!!! good stuff. i own (i think) all of the DLC for DA2 and i like them all well enough. i also own all for DAO and i like them well enough. i’ve only ever played the DAO in-game DLC as well as Awakening (meaning no Leli’s Song, no Witch Hunt, etc.) i just never got around to it. anyway, really. not really playing favorites here either. xD
13) things that annoy you. not much tbh. i suppose it’s annoying that sometimes in some games i’m sitting here like, “okay, why did my character just say these words? that wasn’t what the words that i clicked on said. ?????????”
14) Orlais or Ferelden? Ferelden! because it’s more rustic and i like that. :3 also mabaris.
15) templars or mages? mages. though i do believe there’s an argument to be had about the treatment of both groups at the hands of the chantry. but still mages. :]
16) if you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one? obviously i intend to have and OC HOF, champion, and inquisitor all in one universe. i’ve had a hard time trying to figure out which characters i want to be canon and which aren’t. i’ve also toyed with the idea of having multiple world states that act as their own individual canons, but that’s a lot of work and like… lazy. :] for a while i just figured Lark was my canon warden no canon Hawke thus far and Sydnie my canon Inquisitor. but idk.
17) what did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc) UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM………………….. one of the mabaris in the first two games was named Charlemagne (i think my Hawke’s dogs are always Charlemagne) and i think Lark’s dog was… omg hold on i have it documented somewhere. *a few minutes later* Shawshank! Lark’s dog’s name is Shawshank.
18) have you installed any mods? yes because i’m garbage that is privileged enough to be a computer gamer and can install mods. i also really like having mods and making mods so yes. yes i install mods. :]
19) did your Warden want to become a Grey Warden? not particularly, though she didn’t mind having to leave the alienage. she’d be dead or worse if she’d stayed and also she would have attempted to run away long before shit hit the fan if she didn’t have her family to think about. she still cared for her family and she did feel some sadness over leaving them, but it was like her soul made a sigh of relief and a weight was lifted. she was truly happy to leave. becoming a Grey Warden was sort of like a not completely unpleasant side effect.
20) hawke’s personality? i don’t really have a Hawke atm but I generally tend to play blue Hawkes.
21) did you make matching armor for your companions in Inquisition? no and they should all thank the maker because every fucking one of ‘em would be in plaidweave and that’s that on that.
22) if your character(s) could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change? ugh this is too much thinking for me. why are there so many questions?!??!?!!? anyway idk. i think Sydnie would change the way she let herself react to a really bad thing that happened in the circle. because she reacted the way she did, it completely changed who she was and it takes her a long time to get herself back. sorry it’s vague but that’s just how these things go sometimes. :] Lark doesn’t really live in the past, if that makes sense? she doesn’t dwell on things enough to regret. why change the past when you can own this day???? as a certain cheeky lesbian elf apparently says maybe. :3
23) do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon? kind of, but mostly small things, and generally only things that pertain directly to my character. also i like to switch things up when it comes to romances. :] i try to take the basics of the in-game romance arc and tailor it a bit more to what i envision. or just what i want. ;D so i guess that could maybe be considered off canon, though i don’t really see the romances as canon anyway.
24) are any of your character(s) based on someone? no. not intentionally, anyway. it would take me way too long to explain my thought processes when it comes to creating characters (and this bitch is already long enough at this point) so i won’t go into details. :] so basically no, i don’t ever really set out to base characters on people. maybe subconsciously it happens? idk.
25) who did you leave in the Fade? my first playthrough was the default world state so i sacrificed Stroud because of course i did. with the custom world state i have now i sacrificed Hawke. D: because you know i’m not sacrificing Alistair!!!! especially not after he said the stuff about Lark and them being together AND I COULDN’T TAKE THAT AWAY. also it wasn’t like it was MY Hawke, because i don’t have an actual OC Hawke it was quite easy to sacrifice her because i had no real attachment to her. anyway don’t fucking ask me who i’ll sacrifice when i finally get around to actually deciding on my canons and their world state because I DON’T KNOW AND I DON’T WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT. thank you. :]
26) favorite mount? i don’t use mounts much actually. i like hearing banter. that being said, i really like the way the qunari horse looks. i also like the harts and i don’t care what anyone else says i love their nails-on-chalkboard screech. fight me if you must but i said what i said. :]
THANKS SO MUCH TO ANYONE WHO READS THIS I APPRECIATE YOU LETTING ME WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

                                       Your OC as a Companion
………………………………………………………………………………………….
                                            Aelyn Lavellan
Tumblr media
Inquisitor’s Name: Aelyn Lavellan
Race / Class / Specialization: Dalish Elf, Rogue Archer, Assassin Gender Identity: Female
Varric’s Nickname for them: Archer
Short bio: Aelyn grew up in a Dalish clan with her mother, father, and younger brother. She is a gifted archer and proficient hunter. Aelyn is independent, observant, reserved, and has a very strong moral compass. She is very close with her brother, who is the clan’s first. Aelyn has never had any desire to lead, but her personality, demeanor, and her sense of righteousness make her someone others tend to follow.
What would their companion card look like?
Initial Card: (Temperance) In the forest and dressed in her hunting leathers, walking forward with her bow in front of her and an arrow knocked. She is alert and cautious.
Recruitment mission:
When first approaching the crossroad in the Hinterlands, the party notices a three Dalish elves. Only two are armed--one an archer and one a mage--and they are protecting the third but are heavily outnumbered.
The Inquisitor and their party help defeat the rogue mages and templars, and the archer introduces herself as Aelyn. The mage is her brother Hathorn. She explains that she and her brother are escorting a healer to assist the refugees and thanks the Inquisitor for the help. They depart.
Later, if the Inquisitor completes any of the requests to assist the refugees at The Crossroads, Aelyn will approach the party again. She explains that her clan is relatively isolated and has avoided most danger, but between the breach and the fighting, she could no longer observe and do nothing. She acknowledges that the Inquisition is doing the same by helping the refugees, and offers to join the party.
At that point you have the choice to accept her or not. If you do not, she will still join Inquisition, however you will not hear from her again.
Where they would be in Skyhold / Haven:
In Haven, near the Inquisitor’s house.
In Skyhold, on the ramparts where you meet Hawke.
Personal quests:
Trapped by the Rifts: Aelyn receives word from her brother that multiple rifts have appeared near where her clan is camped and they are unable to flee. The clan is running low on supplies and needs assistance. She will ask the Inquisitor for help, and if they accept, are taken to the Dalish camp--Aelyn is locked into the party. As they draw close to the camp Aelyn’s brother joins them, and they fight and seal the rifts. Upon returning to Skyhold Aelyn thanks the Inquisitor, and they have the option of asking her about her brother and/or her life as an elf, as well as a flirt option. Completing this quest results in great approval. Refusing the quest will cause Aelyn to leave the Inquisition.
Hathorn’s Message: Aelyn receives another message from her brother, but it is only a map of the Storm Coast with a cave marked. It would take the Inquisitor too long to arrive, so they must select one of the advisors to complete the mission. Josephine will request local nobles send people to check the location, Cullen will send a small contingent of soldiers, and Leliana will send her spies. Selecting Josephine will cause the mission to fail, as the nobles come across a band of elves fighting Darkspawn and decide it is not worth the risk. Aelyn’s brother will be lost. Selecting Leliana or Cullen results in allies arriving in time to assist the elves, but Darkspawn continue to escape from a breach in the cave and require additional assistance immediately. Save Hathorn from Darkspawn operation becomes available.
Save Hathorn from Darkspawn (unavailable if Hathorn’s Message is completed by Josephine): The Inquisitor’s party (Aelyn is locked in) ventures to the Storm Coast to rescue Hathorn’s group. He and his party have active health bars and will die should their health run out, so the Inquisitor and party must fight strategically in order to keep Hathorn and his party alive. After fighting a number of Darkspawn, a mage in the party can seal the tunnel that they our pouring out of, ending the fight. If Hathorn is killed in the fighting, Aelyn is distraught and will leave the Inquisition temporarily to mourn. If Hathorn survives, she will insist on returning with him to their clan temporarily as many lives were lost and she wishes to mourn with her people. Upon returning to Skyhold, a cutscene will play where Aelyn returns and thanks the Inquisitor for their help, regardless of the outcome, but if Hathorn has died she will be decidedly withdrawn. Completion of this quest results in great approval if Hathorn survives.
How to get their approval/disapproval:
Aelyn has a strong sense of righteousness and will slightly approve of anything that helps the less fortunate or the oppressed. She also slightly approves of any questions an Inquisitor asks getting to know her or the Dalish. She slightly disapproves of needlessly aggressive dialogue options, and will greatly disapprove of any Sit In Judgement quest where execution or Tranquility is selected. Aelyn greatly approves of you allying with Briala and helping the Dalish or allying with the elvhen at the Temple of Mythal. She is also supportive of spirits and mages.
Break down of her Approval Ratings for Major Missions:
Fate of the Mages Conscript: Disapproves Ally: Greatly Approves
Fate of the Templars Disband: Slightly Disapproves Ally: Slightly Approves
Inquisitor’s Lead: A Dwarf/Elf/Qunari Stands for us all: Approves Example as a Mage: Slightly Approves For Faith: Greatly Disapproves For Order: Approves For What’s Right: Greatly Approves To Stop Corypheus: Greatly Approves For Personal Power: Greatly Disapproves For Vengeance: Slightly Disapproves
Fate of the Wardens Exile: Disapproves Ally: Approves
Ruler of Orlais Gaspard: Disapproves Briala: Greatly Approves Celene: Greatly Disapproves Reunite: Slightly Approves Spare Everyone: Slightly Approves Arrest Florianne: Approves Save Celene: Neutral Kill Celene:  Neutral
Abelas Alliance Ally: Greatly Approves Reject: Greatly Disapproves Drink from the Well: Non-Lavellan Inquisitor Drinks: Disapproves Lavellan Inquisitor Drinks: Greatly Approves Morrigan Drinks: Disapproves
Are they romanceable?
Yes. She is a little surprised by a flirtatious quizzy at first, but after establishing loyalty she responds positively. As approval rises she begins to open up more to display a sly sense of humor and unshakable loyalty. Aleyn is heterosexual and open to relationships with any race.
Can you have sex with them?
Yes, and she is sex positive, but is also perfectly content in a relationship with an ace partner. Her romance is one based more on mutual respect and support than on physical intimacy.
Aelyn falls on the demisexual range, so sex is a private and emotional investment for her.
Are they open to polyamoury?
No. She is non-judgmental about this fact, but she would be unhappy in a polyamorous relationship.
If they can be romanced and are not, will they begin a relationship / relationships with other character(s)? If so, who?
Yes. As both of them are inquisitive and independent, Aelyn and Solas develop a friendly relationship rather quickly. Upon arriving to Skyhold their relationship deepens and they begin a romance. After Solas leaves Aelyn is heartbroken, but stays with the Inquisition.
Who are they friendly with?
Aelyn is relatively friendly with everyone, but becomes closest to Solas, Varric, Cole, and Dorian
Who do they dislike?
A hardened Leliana, Bianca, Vivienne, Morrigan, Sera (she and Sera eventually develop a strong friendship, but Sera’s treatment of Cole and dismissal of all things “elfy” creates a lot of animosity early on)
Companion card changes: (use a text descrip. if you have no images)
Loyalty: (Judgement) Aelyn is in profile mid-leap, bow drawn and aimed. Her hair is caught in the wind and she has the hint of a smile on her lips. Beams of gold radiate from the tip of her arrow.
Loyalty Alternative: (The World Reversed) Signalling Aelyn’s disappointment in failing to bring positive change, she retreats into the forest. She is flanked by two trees that twist toward each other to form a circle with her in the middle. Her bow is on her back and she is hooded, looking back over her shoulder one final time.
Romanced: (Knight of Cups) Aelyn sits on a rock near a stream. She is smiling, with one hand clutching a white flower over her heart, the other reaches toward you to join her. The moon is overhead and reflected in the stream.
Side Missions:
Dragon Hunter: Aelyn takes great pride in being a hunter, but never dreamed she would ever encounter a dragon. Slay a dragon with Aelyn in the party.
Opinions on mages / templars / how the world is going to shit?
Aelyn strongly believes that mages should be free, which is one of the reasons she and Vivienne do not get along well. She is initially distrustful of Templars, but Cullen and Cassandra help her to see that they are not all bad, and they give her hope that they can change for the better.
Aelyn is proudly Dalish, but quick to admit that she does not worship any gods. She worries about the future of her people, and their ability to find a peaceful path in Thedas. She is terrified for all of the things going on in the world that she cannot control, but after joining the Inquisition feels more confident that they can make things better.
Something guaranteed to make them leave the party:
Refusing to help her brother and clan on her personal mission; approval rating getting too low; the Inquisition being used as a force of oppression
Special Events:
Imprisoned at Redcliffe: How is your Inquisitor holding up in Redcliffe, being slowly infected with red lyrium over the course of a year?
She is furious and broken, enraged that she can do nothing from her cell. When the Inquisitor arrives she believes she has finally gone mad.
At the Winter Palace: Does your Inquisitor enjoy the party, any special events with them at the Palace?
The Winter Palace is complicated for her. She enjoys people watching, and excels at the Game, but hates to play. She is very intrigued by Briala and believes Briala may be the best option for the future of her people.
If romanced, you will be able to share a kiss on the balcony.
In the Fade: Your Inquisitor’s reaction upon entering the Fade? Archdemon’s taunt, and Inquisitor’s response? Epitaph on their grave?
She will panic and detach a bit in order to keep herself from full-blown terror. If Solas is in the party, she will depend on him. Once she takes a moment to get her emotions in check, she will be deathly quiet and go into hunting mode: senses on high alert and arrow knocked and ready.
Her epitaph would say: ‘Unwanted’
The Nightmare will taunt Aelyn and state that her loved ones wouldn’t notice if she were gone, and would actually be better off without her. If her love interest is in the party, Nightmare will specifically state that they are bored by her, and are only with her out of convenience. She will not respond, but her love interest will (or has the option to, if she is romanced by the Inquisitor)
Trespasser: What is your Inquisitor up to two years after Corypheus’ defeat? Any special events with them over the events of Trespasser?
Aelyn never stops loving Solas, but does not search for him. She does not return to her clan, feeling more at home with the Inquisition and the family she’s created there. If alive, her brother will eventually join the Inquisition as well.
During Trespasser she is excited that the group is coming together again, but very concerned over the future of the Inquisition, and that the Inquisitor’s mark is getting worse. If she romanced Solas she will be overwhelmed when he reveals himself. She makes the hardest decision of her life to stay with the Inquisitor rather than flee to find him on her own. But if the Inquisitor vows to stop Solas by killing him, her decision to stay with the Inquisitor becomes motivated by deceit, as she decides the best way to protect Solas is to know the movements of the Inquisition.
Other Major Events: Any other major events that happen with them over the course of the main game?
Aelyn and Cole become very close, and she will join you on Cole’s personal quest to becoming more human or more spirit-like. She will not approve or disapprove of either option, but will disapprove of the Inquisitor referring to Cole as a demon. Once his personal quest is complete, they can often be found together in Aelyn’s normal spot on the ramparts.

Companion Asaaranda
Tumblr media
Name: Asaaranda
Race / Class / Specialisation: Qunari Warrior Berserker and Reaver
Gender Identity: Female
Varric’s Nickname for them: Stormy
Short bio: Here
What would their companion tarot card look like?
Recruitment mission: Capturing lightning
How do you get it? When you first get to Val Royeaux after your confrontation with the chantry clerics you will find a group of guards and ladies gossiping. “I told you this place had gone to the dogs” “First the Grand Duke lets that Ox set up shop in his city now (insert derogatory term fitting Inquisitor here) heretics are claiming to start an inquisition!”
A Dwarf walks past them “Talk talk talk and you people still have no idea what's going on.” She walks past them to the Herald “I'm Veronica Varen With the Silverite Smithery in Verchiel ran by Asaaranda head armorer of Verchiel. We have a business proposal for you inquisition folks.  You'll have to come by Verchiel to get in on it though. Moving house is too dangerous in this climate without a solid promise. See you lot when ya do!”
Where? Her recruitment mission takes place in Verchiel.
Description: You come into Verchiel a prosperous city under duke Gaspard. It aesthetically seems to have a heavy leaning towards military power than ornamentation. When you come to the forge you see a tall Qunari woman arguing with some Templars. As you approach you hear the woman say “I've already told you. You can pick up the commissions I've finished and have your investment back on the ones I haven't but I'm not making weapons for either side until this whole mess is cleared up.” The Templars shake their heads and walk off with a cart, a horse, and some weapons.
Where they would be in Skyhold / Haven:
At Haven, they can be found wandering between the mounts and the armory.
In Skyhold she can be found in the blacksmith. She expresses her delight at having a place for herself away from Harret's scrutiny. You can also find Lorin and Veronica wandering around there once you finish her quest.
Getting to know them: in her first couple conversations, you can get to know about her time under the Qun and why she left.
Starting Tarot: The tower- her starting card shows her facing away from a falling Qunari fortress.
Tumblr media
Personal quests:
Quest 1: The cry of my people
Quest 2: Forged by storm
Quest 3: Roaring thunder
Small side mission: The cry of my people
Asaaranda asks you if you would be willing to help Vashoth as they are being used as scapegoats in this time full of hysteria. In this mission, you have to find and defend Vashoth being attacked by various people in Crestwood and the hinterlands.
After you get the people down to a low hp there is an option to finish them or try and reason with them. (Does not always guarantee the won't just keep taking and have to be killed anyway)
Asaaranda approves of killing them and highly approves of trying to reason with them. Companion quest: Forged by Storm Asaaranda will mention that here is a lack of sophisticated tools at her disposal and that she misses her old forge.
It will also give the option to contact her old crew through the war table which will allow you to go and visit them again reopening her recruitment area. They express interest in where she is now and say that they miss her and things aren't working the same without her even if the pay she sends home is great. You can either ask them for advice or invite them over. (If you invite them they stay here rather than in Val Royeaux and that will grant major approval)
This will unlock a mission to collect stormheart to use in a Skyhold upgrade for her that will give a larger forge and an updated lyrium forge for the tranquil to make more advanced runes.
The effects will be seen on the field. The camps will now have weapon racks and some soldiers will be equipped with enchanted weapons. (Here companions will invite themselves to Skyhold regardless) Tarot card change: her tarot changes to the star. It shows her forging on an anvil as water flows from her work into a pool.
Romance quest: Roaring thunder
Asaaranda's romance quest is opened after you have flirted with her multiple times and you have gained enough approval.
If you have flirted and managed to gain her approval she will approach you in your quarters. She’ll tell you that one of the “Bas” traditions she had encountered as she left Pa Vollen and traveled through Rivain is the lover's knot. A braided thin cord with two round knots that hold a cutting of the lover's hair intertwined. (She mentions that eyelashes are used as a substitute in case of baldness) Cut into two pieces and wrapped around the lover's wrists. The search ability will alert you of an item to be found. After searching you will find a cutting of her hair left on your bedside table.
Should you accept you will need to get gurgut webbing to create the lover's knot. And then you can invite her out, you will meet her in the Gazebo in the chantry gardens and give her the gift. Tarot card change: Courage shows her in a flowing dress walking side by side with a Tiger towards a green light with a hand reaching out.
How to get their approval: Straightforward decisions and following through, helping the needy, respecting other traditions, fighting dragons and wyverns, Siding with Briala through Gaspard or just Gaspard
How to get their disapproval: If you say you will do one thing and then do another, claiming to be the Herald, disrespecting people's beliefs and sacred grounds, Siding with Celine
Are they romanceable? Yes
Orientation: Bisexual, likes Non-binary and Female partners.
If you are smaller than her you’re cute. If she likes your personality a lot your attractive and if you can kick ass you’re hot.
Race gate: No race gate
If they can be romanced and are not, will they begin a relationship/relationships with other character(s)? If so, who?
If Leliana was not romanced and is softened Asaaranda will express interest in her and there may be some rumors of courtship happening but Leliana keeps it quiet for the most part. The inquisitor has the choice to encourage and help this pairing or dissuade Asaaranda.
If those conditions are not meet or the inquisitor dissuades her, Asaaranda will begin a romance with Veronica and they will be married in trespasser.
Who are they friendly with?
Cassandra is a close friend, she finds a familiar comfort in her presence and they enjoy the same pass times (yes that includes books)
Varric’s stories become a great escape during even the most grueling of missions and she offers her own back.
Though you might not expect it Vivienne’s Wisdom on magic is greatly valued during this time as she tries to learn more on the subject but is also assured safety as she learns
She respects Blackwalls honor and dedication. She finds his presence to be warm and doesn't mind spending time with him even if just in silence. Her opinion of him does not change after revelations.
Iron Bull (conditional read below) She tries to help him learn how to be a true Tal-Vashoth and the find they have much in common through this.
Who do they dislike?
They dislike The Iron Bull until after his personal quest IF made Tal-Vashoth (then she will become good friends with him). If reaffirmed as a Qunari she refuses to speak to him and avoids him as much as she can.
Sera She doesn't understand how she thinks. If she fights for the “little people” why does that not seem to include those discriminated against like the Dalish, Mages, and those of different religions just because you don’t agree with or like them. She also finds her disrespect infuriating. It doesn't matter if you believe something different, be kind.
Solas’ way that he uses magic and thinks that his casualness should be normal sets her edge. She manages to stand him for the most part. And can be convinced to be more amicable with him.
Mages, Templars, Other?:
Asaaranda will vouch for the Templars as a stronger military force and will admit she knows little to nothing about mages but is wary of it. Regardless of choice, she will give Great approval for free allies and Disapproval for them chained.
Something to make them leave the party: An alliance with the Qun will cause a scene where she will want to leave. Her personal quest will have to be completed and you have to have extremely high approval in order to get her to say.
Special Events:
Imprisoned at Redcliffe: How is your companion holding up in Redcliffe, being slowly infected with red lyrium over the course of a year? When Asaaranda is found she speaks mainly in Qunlat and broken common. She is eager to fight and no longer fears death but instead wants a quick and worthy end.
At the Winter Palace: Does your companion enjoy the party, any special events with them at the Palace?
Asaaranda stays in the trophy room and has a few comments on people whose ornamental weapons and metal works she made. She fiercely supports Gaspard or Briala being put into power behind him. There is a dance scene with her if you are romancing her.
In the Fade: Your companion’s reaction upon entering the Fade? Archdemon’s taunt, and Inquisitor’s response? Epitaph on their grave?
Asaaranda is stoic but a bit freaked out about the place. She checks to make sure everyone is ok and immediately urges to find a way out as quickly as possible.
Asaarandar will mention that the fearlings look like ben-hassrath when the inquisitor brings up the “spiders”.
Her tombstone says “Qamek”
Trespasser: What is your companion up to two years after Corypheus’ defeat? Any special events with them over the events of Trespasser?
Asaaranda has opened a business on the outskirts of the Val Royeaux market. Her now bolstered reputation has made this possible. (More to add later if I feel like it)
Fighting Style
Asaaranda is a Reaver and a Berserker. Her attacks focus on doing as much damage as quickly as possible.

More about my OCs: Herah Adaar
I am having some feelings so Imma ramble about my OCs, feel free to follow along, and check my tags for other meta.
The Companions
Warden Blackwall (pre-Revelations)
There’s a kind of sadness that sometimes lives in his eyes when she visits him, and she doesn’t understand why. He’s often aloof in a way that she remembers from her early days with the Company, and she wishes he could fight whatever plagues him and come out of his shell. She respects him, admires him for more than just his skills in battle. He’s always been straight with her and she values that. Out of everyone except Dorian, she thinks she’s closest to him, despite his aloofness. Kindred spirits, maybe. They often find themselves in each other’s company, and both share a love of fine, aged whiskies. She asks him to accompany her on excursions most often, not only for his strong blade but for his singing voice. He seems to know the best drinking songs and can sometimes be persuaded, or drunk enough, to sing for the camp. She treasures these moments - the aloofness is dropped and he is vulnerable, if only for the night.
Thom Rainier/Blackwall (post-Revelations)
She gets it. She does. Life as a mercenary had her doing some shady business and some things she wished she never had done. Life goes on. It’s only been by the grace of the Maker that Leliana hadn’t discovered more unsavory bits of her past, and she doesn’t hold his against him. She’s hurt, though, and is for a long time. He didn’t trust her, even after years of working together, two well-conditioned cogs in a great machine. She pardons him - of course she does. Justice is not hers to serve, but she reflected upon his willingness to die in Val Royeaux, in his years of service under the Inquisition’s banner, and that under the Grey Wardens’ banner, falsely planted as that may have been. She had Leliana drag up contacts that had testified to his good deeds, protecting villages and training townsfolk to fight brigands and bandits as he lived as Blackwall. She pardoned him, and asked at the sentencing that their friends consider his actions and deeds on both sides: as Thom Rainier - previous to the command that killed the Calliers, a pawn in The Game of Orlais - and as Blackwall, the protector of the weak and the penitent hermit who struggled for atonement with every action. Not everyone understands, and not everyone treats him well after his return to Skyhold after the revelations are exposed, but she does. It could easily be her in his place. She encourages him to craft himself anew, as he sees fit: he asks to be called Thom Blackwall, and she supports that wholeheartedly.
Cassandra Pentaghast
Cassandra reminds her of Shokrakar. Sure, Sho isn’t as devout in her idea of justice and faith, but the two are eerily similar. Falling to Cassandra’s lead in the beginning felt natural, like it was expected. She respects Cassandra’s faith, though she doesn’t always understand her zeal, and asks her for advice a lot. Even with Cassandra having considered killing her in their first interaction, Herah greatly values what brought them to their close friendship. She respects that Cassandra avoids the trappings of her noble birth and actively shuns anything that ties her to the monarchy of Nevarra. What Herah loves most, though, is that Cass respects and values her back, in great enough measure to confide in her. Herah frequently wonders at the reasons why Cass keeps herself distant from those around her, and honestly, if there were a single person to blame for that behavior, she would move the heavens to kick that person’s ass. Cassandra is, by and large, her guiding star as she works.
Cole
She never quite knows what to make of Cole. Logic and her training state that Cole, as he is, should be largely impossible. Solas seems to be okay with the young man, though, so she pretty much defers to the other mage in issues dealing with spirits. Cole, though... he’s a handful. On one hand, his way of helping often is at odds with the support staff of the keep, tossing bread on the battlements, throwing perfectly good turnips in the fire, stealing uniform-issued daggers from the scouts and runners. On the other, Herah must admit that the last action was well-founded; she has personally seen multiple scuffles in the tavern escalate to bloodshed in the courtyard, so she isn’t too worried when he takes someone’s daggers. Cole also doesn’t make use of his payments for working for the Inquisition, so she has the banker re-route some of his stipend toward the kitchens and other departments, and quietly has the quartermaster order more supplies than initially called for. She’s told Cole this, and he had no response one way or another. She hopes she’s helping.
Dorian Pavus
Dorian is her best friend. If she considers herself close to Blackwall then she and Dorian are in each other’s pockets. They bond over wine, asshole Tevinters, and their shared proclivity for fire magic. She has listened with rapt attention to his many lectures on magical theory and often jokes about having to keep pads of parchment at hand for his tendency to launch into ramblings on the subject. Since they returned from the Failed Future, as they call it, they have been largely inseparable, and both suffer PTSD from the experience. Their other companions understand but don’t actually get it, and sometimes Herah’s nightmares - that this was a failed future, and that what they experienced at Redcliffe is the real and current reality - can only be soothed by Dorian’s presence. When they’re not dallying with their respective love interests, they can often be found in each other’s quarters. She suspects she could easily love Dorian, in ways she can’t now, if she were a man. A drunken kiss one night led to that suspicion, but she doesn’t press it. She values him for who he is, not who his family and his country think he should be.
Iron Bull (Qun)
Iron Bull scares her, as much as he intrigues her. She is the epitome of “afraid but aroused” in his company and tries not to think about it. It was worse when they had first met, and time has eased their relationship into relative friendliness. That he seems to defer to her decisions goes a long way toward building their friendship, and he always answered her half-terrified questions about the Qun and Qunari life. She respects that, and appreciates what she believes to be his no bullshit method of interactions. He seems to have no interest or investment in hauling her off to Par Vollen, and he revealed his status as Ben-Hasserath to begin with, and she keeps those thoughts in mind when her nerves run away with her.
Iron Bull (Tal-Vashoth, after saving the Chargers)
She remembers how he froze out there. He was terrified. Terrified for his men, his found-family, his closest companions for years. Terrified for his place in the Qun, for the ramifications deserting would have upon his inner and outer lives. She hopes never to see that look of panic ever again. They were able to save the Chargers, and she doesn’t regret that one bit, but she watches him closely - no longer out of fear, but to keep him close, to support him. This is something new and scary for him and she hopes to return his kindness. There are quiet occasions when he asks her questions about growing up without the Qun; in the beginning she told him vague generalizations, still nervous about what he represented for so long, but as they grew closer she started talking more on the subject. He’s the only person, other than Josephine, who knows her family’s names.
Sera
Sera reminds Herah of her younger sister, brash and abrasive but with a good heart. She knows the elf has a desire for good, though doesn’t always see past the unorthodox methods to get there. They share a love for cookies, though she doesn’t have Sera’s love for oatmeal raisin. The elf swears her favorite thing about them is that the raisins look like chocolate but actually are fruit, and that they look like mouse shit is just extra heaps of wonderful. Herah is greatly amused by this declaration, and whenever she needs to soothe tensions between the elf and others around the keep she does so with a plate of the cookies. She kept a mental list of the small things Sera does around the keep (she can be seen working with the maids and runners, most often, which has earned her an even darker reputation for sneaking around) and Herah used these to prove Sera’s worth to the others in the beginning before tensions died down and everyone accepted each other. She tries not to have Sera and Solas, or Cassandra, or Vivienne on the same trip for too long, though, out of deference to her friends’ respective hangups.
Solas
He’s a mystery wrapped in plain tunic packaging. He doesn’t allow himself to get close to anyone, she’s noticed, but he is animated when he talks of the Fade and of spirits. She wonders if he’s lonely, cooped up by himself (even if it’s of his own doing) and tries to spend time with him, hoping to help him feel like he has a place on the team. He once confided in her that he’s overheard her and Dorian speaking on various magical theories, and the three of them soon started spending more time together. Sometimes it ended in arguments between Dorian and Solas on the precise nature of this or that, in which she just relaxed and watched them debate, but more often than not it was a teachable moment where she learned more than she expected. Solas has helped refine her healing skills, after grumbling that with her lack of talent for it she might actually make someone worse, rather than better. The remark was without heat, though, so he hoped it meant that he had a genuine interest in spending the time to teach her. He’s painted a small portrait of her, which he gave her on her birthday, depicting her closing the Breach. He hoped it would remind her of her own power - not just that of the Anchor, but of her innate strength and will. She keeps it hidden for her eyes only and reflects on it when things get too overwhelming.
Varric Tethras
She could listen to Varric tell stories for hours, and knows this for a fact - she’s done it on numerous occasions. She has read Tale of the Champion perhaps a dozen times, not only for the adventures and trials within, but ruminating on the power and force of nature that is Marian Hawke. She was half-convinced, with every read, that Marian didn’t actually exist, and only accepted otherwise after meeting the woman herself. Varric introduced her to the delicacy that is drinking chocolate and changed her life for the better. Working with the mercenary company had its benefits but fine dining wasn’t one of them. She and Varric have a weekly chess game, and she loses every time - but he will swear up and down, even on Bianca’s fantastic aim, that she’s getting better with each game.
Vivienne de Fer
She understands few things of Vivienne with certainty, but among them are these: that she is powerful, ambitious, and wants to see genuine change to how the Chantry operates the Circles of Magi. When Herah chose her specialization she chose to follow Madame de Fer’s advice and pursue the Knight Enchanter training. She’s spent many occasions in battle watching Vivienne cut through their foes with a deadly precision and focus she’d never seen before, and it inspired her. The weight of the pommel in her hand is still unfamiliar but Vivienne teaches her the finer points of the spectral blade’s use, something that Cullen, for all his expertise, can’t communicate effectively. There’s a certain ruthlessness in the way Vivienne operates, one she didn’t see before but does now. She is not a woman to cross lightly, and makes no bones about it. Vivienne is powerful and worked hard to get that way. Herah respects that, the way she respects bears: from a polite, well-armed distance, with a hope that the power in question isn’t turned on her. That’s not to say there isn’t a genuine friendship in the works - Vivienne once confided that Herah reminds her of herself, a remark that confused her for days. “Brash and bold, but tempered by experience - the most flattering, deadliest design,” she said. There have been a couple occasions where Vivienne’s carefully crafted facade have slipped in her presence, and when Madame de Fer asked her to accompany her to Bastien’s side, she could not refuse. Vivienne was a genuinely compelling character in her life, and while they didn’t always see eye to eye, she has come to be a powerful ally and companion.

10 Questions Ask Meme
Rules:Answer 10 questions and then come up with another 10 questions for the people you tag!
Was tagged by @princessvicky01 so let’s keep this rolling
Favorite small town? Real or fictional. - I live in a small town, and have lived in many but none have ever been a favorite. SO I suppose I would love to check out the small town of Honnleath (pre-darkaspawn)
Video game or DLC you’re most looking forward to right now? (sans DA4) - I have yet to purchase it and it haunts my dreams. I am aiming to get my hands on the Witcher DLCs.
Favorite fictional world? (i.e.: Middle Earth, Thedas, etc.) Why? - to be fair I have two. One would have to be Thedas as I it holds my OCs and a special Commander. The second would have to be Witcher’s world (don’t remember what the whole place is called. TOO many city/towns to name.) Great, indepth lore and creatures.
Where/what was the best cup of coffee you’ve ever had? If you don’t drink coffee, what’s the best meal you’ve ever head? - Best cup, uh... I have never had a “best” cup of coffee anywhere out but the morning back home after my daughter was born. The first sip of freshly brewed coffee brought to me, while holding my little girl. That may be the best sip ever.
Where/when do you do your best daydreaming?   When I lay in bed. I daydream myself to sleep. Putting myself in the shoes of my OCs and trying to figure out how they would react. There is a tiny piece of me in each of them.
Favorite TV show right now? I don’t really watch a lot of tv. Right now I’m addicted to Live PD (probably only in countries with A&E)
Is your canon Inquisitor reluctant about their power, or do they embrace it full-force, or something in-between? Kiera takes the reigns as she was a First to her clan and much was always expected of her. It is simply a tool to aid those in need. Diana- she hated it. Her personal “night light” she called it many times. Trying to deflect the horror and personal irritation. Hyacinth - she was unsure of it but as long as she can heal and help, she makes due.
What’s the best purchase you’ve ever made? I shop on bargains all the time. So I really can’t pin point that one awesome score. I would say my proudest was netting a $45 sweater for my daughter (in-store) for $4.99. I do love hunting through clearance racks.
Favorite or go-to clothing brand/designer/store? I am not loyal to any brand per say. I sale hunt. I prefer to hunt at Old Navy currently but the winds may change.
Are there any popular TV or video game character arcs that really bother you? How would you change them, if you could? - The one that stuck with me over the years was the ending arc of Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. There was SOO much room to do something there and they did a hack ending (in my opinion.) Played it multiple times and it always stuck with me. (Also my first -he should have totally gotten the girl- grumble fest)
@fereldenpeach questions
If you could trade places with a fictional character for a day, who would you pick and why? - Diana Trevelyan. She’s tough, quick witted and scandalous. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to do whatever she has to to get it. Her relationship with Cullen is deep and runs on lewd at times. I envy her free spirit and openness.
What’s your favorite vacation memory? - Too many. We always made a trek to visit my grandparents as a child and those moments (while colourful) always stuck with me.
What’s your go-to alcoholic beverage? Don’t drink? What’s your favorite smoothie or milkshake? If I drink (I do enjoy a good drink- perhaps too often) I like coolers or my mix. Ginger ale, grapefruit juice and Canada Club whiskey. Extra ice. I’m an ice chewer
When did you have your first kiss? I was fourteen, he was my first boyfriend and it just happened. I do remember it being a wondrous moment. All teeth, tongues and lips. He was more experienced than I, and it was grand.
Who was your first fictional crush and why? lol so totally nerdy! I was in love with Link from Legend of Zelda and Carth Onasi from Knights of the Old Republic. I wrote a HUGE fanfic (printed in a book in my closet today). It has never seen the light of day lol
What’s your favorite Dragon Age mod that you use? Don’t use mods? What’s your favorite outfit from the game’s options? - I have to admit I love the Spoils of the Qunari, wrap thing. lol I made my own in several colours down in the Undercroft.
What (or who) was the gateway to joining the DA fandom on Tumblr? I don’t really know? I was creeping around the internet, dying for more Cullen things when I stumbled upon @khirsahle amazing fic and I believe there was a mention somewhere of a tumblr. So I boldly decided I wanted to write, and get on this tumblr and find my like minded Cullenites and bask in the delicious man.
Name three things you absolutely can’t live without and tell us why. ah hard one. I am a travel light person. 1 - my phone, it is my day planner, alarm, watch, contacts to my parents, camera, etc. 2- Comfy runners. I have terribly sensitive feet and wear shoes all the time. Without them I’d have horridly sore feet. 3 -caffeine. I drink anywhere from half a pot of coffee to a full pot of tea a day. My tea pot is a 12 cup size lol. I’m a mom of 3. I NEED caffeine.
When did you first start playing Dragon Age? Which game did you start with and have you played all of them?  I have been here since the beginning in Dragon Age addictive hell. I played the first, it’s dlc, then Awakening, then 2, it’s DLC and now Inquisition and it’s DLC. I actually had to create room on my xbox to play Origins because I had over 38 saved characters. Wiped them all out and repeated that 3 more times. lol Of those play throughs I only romanced Zevran once. All others were Alistair.
What’s a project you’re really proud of? Where Flowers Dare to Bloom. It has hurt me and healed me in so many places. It has been a personal healing tool and the next couple chapters are currently cleansing my soul.
Here are @princessvicky01 10 :
1) What was your first pet? If you’ve never had one is their one you would like? My first pet. He was a terrier/poodle/rescue thing. Benji. Loved him till he passed of old age when I was 9. Amazingly well tempered and awesome dog.
2) If you could only replay one game forever, what game would it be? lol that is my life. I literally play games to their disk death. If I was cursed to a single game. I’m picking Dragon Age Inquisition. To forever romance and marry Cullen, please.
3) What was/is your favourite subject at school? Why? History. I loved it. Especially ancient history. Eqyptian history, medieval history. All of it. Myths and legends. I adored it all.
4) Do you prefer to be too hot or too cold? I can’t handle heat, so I’d have to say I’d rather be too cold.
5) Do you have any hobbies? If not is there any you want to try? This is kinda a hobby I suppose. I am a terrible starter to things that I never finish. It is a horrid habit that I do way too often. I crotchet, I knit, I sing (lol fairly well too), I used to play in photoshop, games, play baseball.. I’m everywhere and no where.
6) Whats your favourite restaurant/eat out food - Italian, Chinese, Mexican ect I love Italian. Pasta. I am addicted to pasta. Fetticine Alfredo, spaghetti and marinara sauce. Yes please.
7) Mages or Templars? Why? Mages. To be sent away from family at such young ages, forced into a stone prison. It’s heart breaking. All because they are different. Never nullified the Circle in any play throughs. I can’t kill children just because they can hold fire in their palms. Teach them, let them live and let them help!
8) Favourite film/movie genre? I’m not a film person really. I do watch the occasional movie but again I’m all over the place. Favourite of all time; Robin Hood- Men in Tights. A Mel Brooke’s picture.
9)  Whats your spirit animal/daemon aka the one that represents your personality? A bear. Quite literally lol. Loyal to family, extremely protective and I’ll rip your arms off and feed you to my kids if you mess with them.
10)  Cullen Rutherford shows up at your house. What do you say/do? Seriously... depending on the situation, I have no idea. I mean, I think we all know what we dream about but reality wise... I honestly don’t know.
After a mile of questions. Here are mine now lol:
1- Drink lyrium become a Templar or grip a staff and become a Mage. Once you pick you cannot go back. Choice and why?
2- If you could meet anyone of your followers/readers/people you follow, who and why?
3- Dream Cullen date, go!
4- Do you believe readers should comment on your writings? Or are likes/kudos enough?
5- If you had an hour to sit with your favourite character creator from any game, how would you use that time?
6- If you could cosplay one character, who and why?
7- When you sit to write, what is your must haves to work? Coffee/tea, a song, tv in background, what’s your must have thing?
8-Do you follow any of the prominent writters out there? Steven King? R.R Martin? J.K. Rowling? If so, who and why? If not, who would you love to sit and chat with?
9- What time do you feel is the best for your writing? How long do you write for?
10- If you could make one wish come true, but for only one full day, what would you wish for?
Tagging @daisytje @angyvalentine @dorianofminrathous @omnipotentoverlord @queenmelisende @ma-sulevin

Tumblr media
For Full Story & Possible Choices, please check out This Page.  For this post, I’m going with default choice. ( Conscription & Saving Amaranthine )
After the murder of two of her clansmen at the age of 14, Fenrian exiled herself from her clan and left the Dalish life behind. After three years of traveling alone, a year of it spent fighting off darkspawn and protecting people from the Blight, she found her way to the Grey Wardens in Amaranthine. Unfortunately, she was untrusted in the region and captured by locals as an ‘apostate and savage dalish.’
While it wasn’t her exact plan to become a Warden in such a way, she was accepting of being judged by the Warden Commander & Arl of Amaranthine. The judgement: Conscription into the Warden’s. But, she would be a Warden Prospect. Kept under the watchful eye of fellow wardens and the commander, she would prove her worth.
  And so she did.
During the attack on Vigil’s Keep, Fen helped defend those there while the Warden dealt protected the city. In the chaos, she was injured critically and became tainted. When the battle subsided, and they looked for survivors, they found her. Missing one of her arms, and fading fast, she was given the option to partake in the Joining.
From then she became Warden Suledin.
In the Qunari siege of Kirkwall, Suledin is seen with the Wardens. While they don’t help with the battle outside of their own means, Suledin leaves the Champion & her friends with gifts to help. And wishes them the best of luck.
In between the years, she spends most of her time recruiting apostates and elves from both clans & the cities. With time she earns ranks in the order, acting as one of the senior members of the Fereldan Wardens. When the order began to shift, she and the other senior wardens at the time, spoke out against the use of blood magic. While she herself heard no calling, she could see its affects on her fellow wardens.  There was little she could do but argue in it’s falseness. There was something going on bigger than them, and she planned to help stop it.
After the Conclave, she went on the run with her senior warden. Splitting up would make it easier to track them. While her friend waited for Hawke in the Crestwood, she made her home in the Stormcoast.  She can be recruited long before the story requires the Warden’s help.  the Inquisitor will be able to find her while tracking Blackwall’s Quest, Memories of The Grey. When searching the camps, they will note that there’s been recent use of the camps. And whoever was there isn’t too far away.
Once they find her, she remarks that she’s surprised anyone found her considering they’re not really supposed to know where those camps are. But, since she has been found, she’ll offer up her services to the Inquisition. Telling them she’s awaiting contact from a friend, and working with someone who glows might make it a bit easier to find her.
Depending on the choice by the Inquisitor, she can become an Agent or Companion.
           • As an agent she’ll tend to work with both Cullen’s men &/or The Chargers.. With her it makes it easier to escort and help refugees as well as dig through ruins. For Elven inquisitors, it’ll help with finding elvhen artifacts.
As a companion, she’ll be another mage in the arsenal. Her specialization is Keeper, a specialization that utilizes the ground around her. How long she stays, much like Blackwall, is up to the choices made by the Inquisitor in Here Lies The Abyss.        • Left Behind - Stays in the fade instead of Hawke or the Warden        • Exiled - Can stay with the Inquisition, unless the Warden is left behind.        • Joined - Stays with the Inquisition with less tension.
When the Inquisition draws closer to its end, Suledin gets a bit more riled up and aggressive about things. Her change is based more on finally ending and saving her Order. As well as taking it as a chance to redeem the Wardens of their mistakes. In the Temple of Mythal, however, this aggressiveness is pointed at the guardians. Specifically Abelas. In this verse, Suledin will not step forward as a suggestion to take the Well. The offer itself is amusing to her, making her laugh. She has an expiration date, and it’d be a waste on her. Even if the world ends soon, she’s going to be dead before then.         She does approve of the Inquisitor taking it themselves over Morrigan.
With Corypheus defeated, the warden stares at the night sky. A smile upon her face as she looks at the stars, counting them, naming them. When footsteps disturb this, she turns to the Inquisitor with a sad smile. She says her goodbyes, as she’s sure she won’t see them in the morning. After the party, she’s gone. Left late into the night according to the guards. Left a present for the Inquisitor though. A small pin with a griffon on it.
In the events of Trespasser, she again joins the group.         [will update on trespasser shit after i play it ]

newfragile yellows [919]
"But you aren't dating each other," Max says, looking around the table. “Am I the only one who sees the flaw in this logic?”
“But there’s money involved,” Ellana says.
“Do you even need money?” Evelyn narrows her eyes and gestures to the room around them. “Are you two not paid enough?”
“This may come as a shock to you, Evelyn, but him being an architect and me being an art restorer doesn’t exactly bring in the big bucks,” Ellana replies. “I know it seems that way because of how beautiful a life we lead. But the real riches aren’t to be found in capitalist symbology but in the memories we’ve made.”
“We’re middle class,” Bull says, pouring Evelyn another glass of wine. “Comfortable middle class. But winning the prize money will do a lot for our mortgage and possibly help us put aside to replace Ellana’s shitty car.”
“My car isn’t shitty.”
“You car is running on dreams at this point.”
“It’s a shitty car,” Mahanon says to his sister. “You deserve a citation for driving that thing around. You might as well just walk around wildly waving around a flame thrower and a knife.”
“While yes, the money part is something of a question, that wasn’t the main flaw I was thinking about.” Max turns to Herah. “Please tell me I don’t have to say it out loud.”
Herah smirks at him as she passes Josephine the large wooden salad bowl. “You’re going to have to say it. Verbalize it. Put words to the exact reason why this is dumb as all hell.”
Max turns to the happy couple who are now bickering about Ellana’s car.
“You two cannot enter a reality show based on dating each other and falling in love. You’re married and have been deeply in love with each other for years. Years. Evelyn was still in undergrad when you two met. She’s got a masters now. She’s gainfully employed.”
“Married people can still date,” Ellana protests. “Bull and I go on dates with each other all the time. In fact, it’s a sign of a relationship taking a downturn if the couple doesn’t still go out on dates with each other. Or. You know. Old age and poor health. But Bull and I only have one of those things going for us.”
“Your young wife is being considerate of your advanced years,” Herah says to Bull who scowls at her.
“She’s the only reason you get invited into this house Adaar.”
“No, I’m also Josephine’s girlfriend and if you’re going to be inviting your best friend over you’re going to have to deal with me coming along.”
Bull looks at Josephine. “It’s not too late to change your mind.”
Josephine rolls her eyes. “Bull, you’ve been saying that for years.”
“And I still mean it.”
“They aren’t going to let you on the show,” Maxwell continues to try and get through to Ellana, “When you sign up they’re obviously going to check if you two already know each other. They’re going to do background checks. If they even glance at any of your social media pages you’ll be screwed. I forget which account belongs to which one of you sometimes. And if they ask anyone from around town they’ll mention your status as a dazzlingly happy couple. It isn’t going to pan out.”
“You’re giving the producers too much credit for a trashy reality show on the brink of being pulled off air.”
“If they’re paying out that much money to the winners then I’m giving them a baseline level credit,” Max retorts. “Seriously. They’re going to check. How are you going to avoid that?”
“Who in their right mind is going to think a Qunari ex-pat and a Dalish immigrant are going to be married in Orlais?” Ellana throws her arms up. “They’re not going to check!”
“They might check,” Mahanon concedes. “Maybe I should enter with the Iron Bull.”
“So you can date my husband on TV?”
“So I can get a cut of the prize money when I definitely pull this off for you two.” Mahanon turns to Evelyn who’s giving him the stink eye as she sips her wine. “Geology doesn’t pay as much as anyone would like.”
Ellana turns to Bull. “Your thoughts on dating my brother on TV?”
“I’d rather date you,” Bull answers, “But it’d be hilarious while it lasts. I’m not going to kiss your brother on the mouth on TV though. Even if I have permission, I don’t have the mental fortitude for it, so it probably won’t pan out.”
Mahanon rolls his eyes. “I’m not going to come after you for cheating on my sister by making a pass at me on TV. It’s fake.”
“There’s that, but also the thought of me doing any kind of romantic or sexual gesture to you in any context makes something inside of me want to die,” Bull replies. “No offense. You’re handsome and all that. But you terrify me.”
“This isn’t going to work,” Max says. “I don’t understand why I’m the crazy one for saying this out loud. Did we take a dip into some sort of parallel universe where there’s no logic?”
“Chill out and have some more wine,” Herah says, “Or a soda. Whatever it is you’re drinking. You really plan on driving back tonight? It’s already late. Just stay over.”
“Can’t, I got called in for a shift tomorrow,” Max replies. “Thankfully it’s an afternoon shift, but I’d prefer to go home tonight and be able to shower and change and freshen up before I have to go into the office.”
“I still don’t understand what you do for a living,” Mahanon tells Max, “And I haven’t decided if that’s suspicious or admirable.”
“It’s both,” Evelyn says. “As someone who’s had to listen to him try and explain what he does multiple times I’m going to tell you it’s both.”
“So when are you two going to apply for the TV show?” Josephine asks. “Does that mean one of you will have to move out and live somewhere else for a while?”
