So, i finally got around to watching the final two episodes of Agatha All Along for a second time (and this time on tv screen and not bleary eyed on my phone in the middle of the night). In terms of where the story line went, I pretty much expected it and had long since excepted Agatha was going to die and become a ghost like in the comics.

Was I super impressed by the two episodes? No. Episode 9 wasn't a bad episode in itself but it was a strange season finale. It felt underwhelming after the drama of the episode before. Episode 8 had a lot of good stuff but it felt disorganised and chaotic. I think it really contrasted against last weeks Episode 7, which brought a lot of threads together very intellugently and fluidly. Instead, so much was thrown into a short time in episode 8 that the threads of storyline just kind of touched base in the episode without truly intertwining. I think the episode probably needed to be ten minutes longer to fit everything in more comfortably.

Was it a terrible ending? No. I am happy with were it left off. Its a neat place to go from Agatha All Along to 'Wiccan' or whatever they chose to call the next series.

I know a lot of people are hoping for a season 2 of Agatha All Along but its not going to happen. Like Wandavision led directly to this series, this series was always leading to Wiccan. Not to worry though as, like Billy was the other main character in this series, Agatha is going to have a key role in his. It will no doubt be Jac Schaeffer again and this will allow time to explore more of Agatha's backstory. I will eat my hat if Rio isnt involved somehow in that series, especially as death will still be a theme. I also did really enjoy Billy's story and cant wait to see were it goes.

What they decide to do with Agatha at the end of that season will depend on if the MCU has further plans for her. If they do, then somehow she will come back to life (as she does in the comics). If they dont have plans, then the option is there to finally lay her to rest with her son, reconciled with her own past. You have to feel that in either of those options, Rio has a role to play.

Finally, although I love a redemption story as much as the next person, i am glad they didn't completely go down that line with Agatha. Yes she has some redeeming qualities but on the whole she is a pretty terrible person. She is selfish and cruel. She is a murderer and con woman. She made her own child complicit in those murders. Yes, I get she wanted to keep him alive, but that absolutely does not make her actions right. She is emotionally manipulative...i mean so manipulative she pretty much emotionally abuses and uses the literal embodiment of death. I dont think you have to ignore all that and even try to make excuses for her to still love the character.

I have to say though, if I was playing Alice's 'kiss, kill, marry' game with the last three women standing (i use the word standing with Agatha very loosely), I would be killing Agatha all over again. You couldnt trust her as far as you could throw her 🤣

So, I would just like to finish by saying thank you to Jac Schaeffer, her team and the cast for a great show and the amount of amazing queer representation. Also, huge shout out to the fans who have made so much content (fics, videos, gif sets, artwork, commentary etc). You have made this wild ride even better X

Just the first sentence made me actually scream (my poor friend was a witness of this as i sent her dozens of voice messages qwq) because oh my GOD ORPHAN KOKICHI!!! AAAA!! Tsumugi's Mood seems to have been a big part of everyones assumptions so,, I'll tell u this. There are very specific "styles" of torture each person will do. The violent one prefers to be physical, the cruel one (also known as "doll whumper" in my notes ;3) prefers things on a more psychological standpoint, but will definitely lash out if they lose enough patience (hence them dislocating kokichis shoulder QwQ)

i cant say much more than that cus i fear i have a story to write and i cant give out "spoilers" or whateverrr but . time will tell!

i feel like the thing thats so appealing to me about her is like. the lack of her? because you see her almost nowhere in security breach and she has at least 3 voicelines. back when SB first came out i watched markiplier play it and instantly got hooked. but i remember not drawing or liking vanny as much as the others??

i think my obsession with her really started when i watched those cut content videos by tetrabitgaming and watched all the pre-release trailers. bc then i was like "woah wait she was supposed to be important" and thinking about that potential she could've had. i totally understand that it wasn't on steel wool studios and they had a deadline that playstation gave them or whatever but ALL THE TIME i wonder what kind of game we could've gotten if that deadline wasn't there. everyday i wake up and hope for a security breach remaster 😭

also her backstory is an important factor because like. wtf do you mean this character was planned for 3 years just to be shafted. wdym shes "been" in 2 other games wdym she used to be a 20-year old who just wanted to do her job??? wdym she now has this rabbit virus guy in her head??? wdym shes basically the next killer of the franchise bringing in a new era??? like dudeee its just so interesting theres so much you can do with her!! and yet literally everything that they wanted to explore with her got cut or scrapped and it makes me so mad!!!!

A Whovian Watches Star Trek for the First Time: Part 101 - Rescue Sarek!

Star Trek: Discovery - Season 1 Episode 6 - Lethe

We open with Sarek and the Vulcans testing their own mission, but his mission is sabotaged, by a supposedly isolationist radical group of Vulcans that wish to withdraw from the federation. Last time a Rogue Vulcan faction showed up, they ended up being the good guys, but this group definitely aren't the pacifists that the Syrranites were, I'm curious to find out exactly what their deal is.

We then see Sylvia and Michael doing laps through Discovery's headquarters. I would have imagined these more advanced ships would have had a proper gym like the NX-01 Enterprise had, but apparently not. It definitely seems that Michael is pushing her too far out of her comfort zone,

Lorca and his buddy he picked up from the Prison, Ash Tyler, are also running some combat drills on a Holodeck. I know from cultural Osmosis that Holodecks are big part Star Trek, but this is the first time I've seen one since the MPreg Episode all the way back in Season 1 of Enterprise, so it's nice to see it here, even if it's only briefly. Apparently, he has been instantly promoted to Chief of Security, a role that I forgot recently became vacant.

In the Mess, Michael and Sylvia encounter Ash, and sit down to get to know our new Security Chief. There is some initial friction between Michael and Ash, but introductions are cut short when Michael receives a message through Sarek's Katra. Sarek gives her a flashback to before she was transferred to Star Fleet. Apparently Michael was removed from the Vulcan fleet for being too emotional, among other reasons, and I love that we're finally digging into how fucked up it is to raise someone in the Vulcan way, and seeing the younger Michael be gaslit into thinking she's the problem is heartbreaking. Sarek notices Michael's presence in the dream however, and kicks her out, back into the real world.

Michael wakes up in Sickbay. Apparently the same rogue faction of Vulcans were also responsible for the attack on the Learning Center when Michael was a child. Discovery goes on route to rescue Sarek.

Unfortunately once Discovery arrives at the relevant nebula, there is trouble. Firstly, we have no idea where in the Nebula Sarek is, and secondly, Discovery cant enter the Nebula without the gasses causing the Spore Drive the explode. Michael comes up with a plan to use the Katra to find him, and gets a shuttle team together, meanwhile Starfleet Command starts to chew out Lorca for going on this mission against orders.

Michael puts her plan into motion, and we get a really cool fist fight between Sarek and Michael in Sarek's mind. And at the same time we get a really interesting conversation between Lorca and one of the Starfleet Amirals who he's had kind of a thing with throughout, that really starts to dive into Lorca's psychology. His previous ship was mentioned last episode, but here we find out that after making that sacrifice, he changed a lot as a person. Wild traumatic events will do that to you, and I kind of want to find out how his command style differed before. Was he just as the Ends Justify the Means as he is now, or did he change in different ways? We also see him have an absolutely terrifying Trauma response when she touches one of his Scars. I want to know more about his character development, I can't wait for the show to explore whatever happened on that ship to shake him so much!

Delving deeper into Sareks backstory in the flashback scene it's mentioned that Sarek is actually Spock's dad, which wasn't something I expected to hear. Either way, it's revealed that Michael was rejected from the Vulcan fleet because Sarek was asked to choose between Michael and Spock, but in the end neither ended up in the Vulcan fleet. But, Michael manages to break through Sarek's shame and locates shocks him awake to signal out his location, and the the rescue mission is a success. Sarek's own mission is left more open ended, however. The Admiral that was visiting Lorca goes to complete it, but the whole thing was an ambush, and the admiral is taken prisoner by the Klingons, as our cliffhanger. Lorca gives the command to wait for Starfleet's orders, which either means this is him taking her advice to heart, or a petty display of "I'm right your wrong", and I love that I can't tell which it is.

This was a good episode, I am absolutely fascinated by the Characterisation of Captain Lorca, and the details on Michael's backstory and her relationship to Sarek are really interesting too.

unpopular opinion: arthur (as much as i like him as a character) was useless in terms of prophecy and liberation of the magic people. not just bc he never ended up lifting the magic ban but bc literally anyone sitting on the throne could have done that. i see no reason why it had to be arthur specifically. but the show liked to pretend like he was the only way to achieve a positive future bc the opprressed community cant simply help themselves that would be silly ig? no no they need to patiently wait that maybe one day their oppressor (whos literally continuing his fathers genocide even if less zealously) has a change of heart and they wont be hunted down like animals anymore. never mind the countless people that will have to die in the mean time. merlin can kill a bajillion people on screen and thats fine and for the greater good but if someone tries to kill One guy sitting on a fancy chair with a fancy hat suddenly thats too extreme. half the time it felt like the show was pointing to merlin as a poster child of how to act when oppressed. the fact that morgana growing bitter about uthers reign is framed as inherently bad and what directly lead to her becoming evil tm is particularly infuriating to me. the choice to create this very ya dystopian setting and then cast the oppressors as part of the main cast and the final solution is just very weird to me. i think it wouldve been objectively for the best if the magic community had overthrown arthur (or uther really but thats not really contested.. unless youre the bbc. this show is so british (derogatory))

in that vein: mordred has never done anything wrong in his entire life and that includes killing arthur

[ok but about the rest!! I have many thoughts about it. merlin as a member of an Oppressed Minority. his betrayal of his own kin. I'm putting it all under a cut bc you guys don't need to see me rambling about this and the disir again]

you make a good point — the way in which a story is framed, even the moment we choose as a "beginning", determines what characters we'll feel sympathy for, even when the facts at our disposal are the same.

I don't think the writers were trying to create any kind of deep social commentary btw. just so we're clear. merlin is the hero of the story and his mission is to keep arthur safe. we've got to root for them both.

to have a king with a hatred (fear) of magic gives us a convenient antagonist within the court. merlin having to defend the men that would have him killed for his magic is a great source of dramatic tension. it sort of follows that the people he has to fight against to defend the king/prince are other magic users, or magical threats. (it also keeps things interesting because there would be no challenge for merlin otherwise).

there isn't much of a point in exploring the motives and backstories of other characters with magic (with the exception of morgana, perhaps). They are only briefly touched upon — so these characters remain vaguely antagonistic for the most part. Neutrally aligned at best (see mordred).

We are shown that the druids are (mostly) aware of the prophecy that marks merlin/emrys as the saviour of their kind.

what I find fascinating are merlin's interactions with magic people who are either not aware of this prophecy (gilli) or have no faith in it (kara, possibly?) Because we're never given the chance or the time to see things from their perspective. To see merlin through their eyes.

When gilli says:

"It is time that someone struck a blow for the likes of you and me. And if you're too weak, then I will." (!!!)

It makes him sound like some kind of extremist, but really, when you think about it. isn't his anger kind of justified? I'm not condoning his violence, I'm just saying — it's understandable. uther has killed so many innocent people. literally drowned innocent children. and merlin's like "violence isn't the answer!" — and I can see his point!! but I can see gilli's just as well. and I find it so interesting that he's still addressing merlin as a brother ("the likes of you and me"), even when expressing disappointment in his actions and calling him weak. because they are the same. he's saying "you're deluded, and cozying up to the enemy won't save you"

this episode also contains what is (probably) my favourite dragon call. when merlin summons kilgharrah in other episodes, he's usually in the middle of some Urgent Situation. matters of life or death. there is nothing urgent here, really. yeah, it is arguably a matter of life or death, but nothing merlin couldn’t have stopped on his own. he really just called on kilgharrah to have a heart to heart with a friend — a member of his class.

("You are a creature of magic, and only a creature of magic could hope to understand.")

this episode is about merlin looking for kinship and still feeling isolated from his magic brethren. there's something tragic about the way the prophecy makes him unable to connect to some of the people who would be best placed to understand him.

and gilli plants a small seed of doubt in merlin's mind. "You've been pretending for so long now that you've actually forgotten who you are" (!!)

but kilgharrah reassures merlin that there's a golden age coming. so merlin does what he has to do — he saves uther once again. before gilli leaves, merlin reassures him that one day they will be free.

he tells mordred the same:

"It won't always be like this. One day we will live in freedom again."

and then, when he has the unique opportunity to use his influence on arthur to sway his opinion in the right direction. he fails.

he condemns himself, and the people he spoke to of freedom, to keep living in fear and in hiding — and what's even more upsetting, he does so while talking of a "just and fair kingdom"!

("You must protect the world you spent your life building, a just and fair kingdom for all." What an interesting choice of words. camelot isn't just and fair to all — as merlin knows well. he's lying to arthur, and possibly to himself.)

imagine being gilli or mordred and hearing him say that "there can be no place for magic in camelot." (!) What a slap in the face.

I've read meta suggesting that the disir were testing merlin just as much as arthur (or even more so than him). I'm inclined to believe it — I want to believe it. If anything because it makes the story all the more interesting and tragic. (I know what some are going to say — if mordred's destiny was to kill arthur, it would've happened anyway. but remember what else kilgharrah said — the future is never clear. there are many paths).

I understand why merlin did what he did, I really do. but for a moment, the fair and just kingdom he spoke of was within reach, and he failed to grasp it.

so was gilli wrong after all?

[and kara. I feel quite sympathetic towards her. we know arthur. she can't see him from our (merlin's) perspective. for her, he might as well be uther. magic people are still persecuted under camelot's law. she has spent her life on the run, she has seen people she loved be killed. and from our (arthur's) perspective, she looks like some kind of fanatic. but in reality. put yourself in her shoes. when arthur offers her a chance to save herself by "repenting" for her crime, she says she has nothing to repent for. "it is not a crime to fight for your freedom". that's the belief she's willing to die for. did she deserve to die for it?

(I also think there's an interesting parallel in merlin failing his kin in the disir, and arthur failing mordred in ep 5x11 by condemning kara to death. something about pinning all your hopes on someone who's going to fail you, and doom you both. idk idk.)]

i am absolutely obsessed with final girl!!! it is so good and the way you write everybody, including y/n is perfect ! i love how y/n is observant and picks up on a lot of the weird things that stu and billy do and say and then brush it off cause of her upbringing, its a perfect way to have the reader pick up on the clues yet not ruin the plot! (please use this ask to explain and rant away about it because i am obsessed with their dynamic in every way possible!!)

im curious, does the reader being from texas mean anything for the plot and the backstory? if not then i am seriously overthinking it and im going mad 😭😭

Hi!! omg this ask is exactly what i needed!!

Thank you for picking up on how Y/n is observant but then brushes it off!! that's something i'm super intentional about when writing chapters, especially bc i've always felt like fics feel more realistic/immersive when the reader does notice things that can influence plot,, but sometimes it's hard bc i have to think of a way for billy and stu to cover up what they do 😭

but i try! a large reason it works is bc of their dynamic,, that i will always be willing to go into heavy detail about!

Y/n doesn't have a ton of experience with close guy friendships. It's partly bc of her mom being relatively "strict" in that area and that area alone, and it's partially bc of where she grew up. Lots of lifelong friendships in a small, southern town before the move,, which i'll be exploring a little more really soon in the series!!

but anyways, the point i'm getting at is that in those towns, any guys you're friends with barely feel like boys bc you've grown up with them. They're basically your brothers. So Y/n's a little...i don't like using the word naive bc it's not exactly that...i see her as trusting and inexperienced.

She's aware just enough to be like hm...this feels a little weird, but once billy or stu offer any kind of explanation or breeze past it casually enough she just assumes that it can't be too bad. A tiny bit of it is a gender assumption thing...like oh, it's a guy thing to be a little cagey and play around with girls that are just friends like that bc they're a little flirty.

But that's just a fraction of why she dismisses things, it's a baseline thinking that she chooses to lean into subconsciously bc billy and stu wanted her to feel borderline dependent on them,, and honestly, they've done a good job so far.

ik we don't have a tonnn of canon details on the og friend group when things were nice and normal before billy and stu went on their little stab spree,, but i definitely picture them as being that group,, you know the ones where they're super solid but still feel comfortable hanging out in different combinations of pairing. I feel like they're also the kind of friend group where people that go to the same school/are in the same age range see hanging out in public and a tiny part of them wishes they were apart of it bc once you're "in" you're "in" and even if you're kind of a sideline piece in the friend group, it'd still be great.

(Opening of part 8 is actually a friend group bonding thing to explore this a little more!!)

Anyways, all this is to say that Y/n's still feels like she's circling around "in",, so at first, she lets things slide bc she likes all of them and the friend group is the only thing making the move bearable. And if you're referencing all the advances they get away with--especially Stu--it's bc it's also done in front of the entire group, and if it's not a big deal to everyone (especially their girlfriends), why should she make it a big deal? Plus, when Stu goes out of his way to do it,, it's kind of like announcing that y/n's "in".

Then, after some time has passed, they started getting away with more and more until they got to the point that we see them in in the actual fic. The end goal was always to have y/n look like the group's friend (to keep from suspicion) but be closest to them,, and they're not smart for nothing, it's definitely working.

Now the reason they get away with so much isn't so much y/n being scared of losing out on the group, but scared of losing them. Even though y/n definitely sees everything that's happened between them as platonic, they're her boys now. Things are easy to dismiss because she feels like she knows them. Sure, there might be the odd comment or reaction, but it's nothing worth looking too closely at. Not when she's comfortable, and they've been consistent enough that even the new questionable things can fall under the umbrella of 'oh they're just like that'.

They're also tactful about the behavior they make obvious and planting seeds that explain it, especially billy. I see billy as being a little more in touch/at least aware of how other people that are wired without the murder mindset feel. Like he knows that bouts of possessiveness/jealousy that aren't justifiable make him look bad and might even make him off putting.

I think this awareness comes from how close I picture his mom and him being. I've always felt like there was probably some unhealthy co-dependency between billy and his mom, which factors into how he views attachment and gave him some more awareness on other people's feelings. It's not a perfect view, but at least something he factors in. Definitely feel like the thought of being left makes billy panic, so that's why he at least tries to think things through. If he acts normal in front of y/n and thinks about how things would make him seem, she won't leave.

That's part of the reason billy goes out of his way to plant explanations for behaviors that aren't under control. He tells stu to mention his family when he apologizes and he'll mention his own dad when he wants sympathy points. He knows how to tug on y/n's heartstrings/empathy.

Stu's tactic is the opposite of being subtle. He gets away with things because he's him. I think he definitely hides darker/more serious toxicity under a layer of open toxicity that feels lighthearted. Like he's easily 'set off' but his moodiness doesn't off put y/n bc it's played off as being almost meanly oversensitive. It'd annoy y/n a lot more from anyone else bc when stu's good, he's great, and he's always been open about it.

And as far as y/n being from texas there are some reasons!! it comes up a little in part 8 for the first time! no spoilers, but part of the reason is bc i pictured Gloria, y/n's mom, as one of those southern-y, larger than life moms. There was also a scene that I took out of part 6 that I'm going to use later (probably in chapter 8, but might reserve it) about y/n and her ability to shoot. Texas has pretty lax gun culture, so there's a scene where y/n shows that she's a good shot bc her mom's been taking her to a shooting range for years. It's a way for her defend herself from ghostface!!

I also wanted y/n's hometown to be far away for a couple reasons. More of a start over feel, if she ever tries to go back it could cause some tension bc of distance, explains why she doesn't have anyone else around, etc

hiii moon anon here i have a lot to say but first off: i've been analyzing the title song settle down and i've been listening to it over and over again and is the story gonna parallel the lyrics itself?? Twosome Boys 3/6 It feels rushed and expects the viewer to acept alot of backstory. The camerawork reminds of Breeze of Love which which makes it more difficult to enjoy.

Ossan's Love Thailand 1/12 I am waiting for the second episode but the first one was basically what I expected. The established pairing of Earth and Mix runs counter to the love triangle thats the basis for Ossan’s Love for me. I also missed the ‚real-world’ backdrop that balanced the over the top main action in the japanese version.

Call Me by No-Name 1/8 Not really sure how I like the story yet. But the colours and other visual storytelling is strong and intriguing.

When It rains, it pours 1/7 The first episode felt so deliberately bland that I am interested to see how it’s going to develop.

Usotoki Rhetoric 25.12.24 9/10 The period setting was luckily only a convenient backdrop for this beautifully kind exploration of the nature of lies.

Spare Me Your Mercy 25.12.24 7,5/10 While it tried and failed a romance and mystery the look at euthanasia was halfway decent especially when taking the hospital institution into account. Good at setting the mood but ultimately it fails as a work of fiction by preferring the public discussion aspect over stringent storytelling.

Buddy Boy 26.12.24 8/10 Not a BL. But clearly in the tradition of queer coming of age films. Beautifully shot. Depicting the hopelessness and powerlessness of youth but missing character development for a truly satisfying experience.

As well as the outside and the inside view on person and how we need to be confident in our inside view to endure what others think of us. Also the validation and support we need to thrive.

Bad to Bed 04.01.25 7,5/10 An exploration of a queer life

Love in the Air JP Special episodes 04.01.25 8/10 Despite the first episode setup being weak for the time it took it laid the ground work for an hilarious second episode with its absurd vibe.

I'm Your Pet 05.01.25 8,5/10 Good execution of a healing plot. Decent camerawork The only thing that was especially noticeable here was the format specific repetitions this could have easily worked as a film.

Our Youth 07.01.25 9,5/10 Visually stunning. The contrast between the cold blue shadow loneliness and the hot spotlight full of friction loneliness. the fear to burn someone and the feeling of being frozen. Narrative was too weak in comparison. Since alot of time was expended on Minase's letter the series missed to give equivalent time and weight to the companionship and abandonment that the letter prologues evokes. While not wholly perfect true contender for best use of visual language.

Fragrance you inherit 07.01.25 8,5/10 A very kind and considerate series and if I did not have such a strong reaction to the telephone scene I would have rated it higher.

See Your Love 08.01.25 8,5/10 A positive and affirming story with a strong romance but a weak adversity resolution for Zixiang that let the final episode fall flat. A Taiwanese BL in the sense that pair chemistry is the main draw but the overall story falls behind. 13. 08.01.25

Stealing my brother's fiancé 09.01.25 7/10 A pulp. Something to watch for a distraction nothing more. Quick succession of telenovela style dramatic turns and their resolution.

Caged Again 10.01.25 7,5/10 With penultimate episode disaster and move towards wish fulfillment the ending felt more fantastical than the premise of the series. The ending scene with them supposedly sitting in the arctic in autumn clothes while it was freezing outside here did contribute to my dissatisfaction with the finale.

Quick notes on everything amazing (that I currently remember) about Wizards:

-Douxie. DOUXIE. I knew I was gonna love him, but I didn't realize just how much?? He just wants to do good and he tries so hard. He does his very hardest, even after things blow up in his face and he feels like giving up, he still goes for it. And hes just so much fun! Despite being 900+ years old he still acts like a dumb teenager and I love him for it.

And his guitar/staff! I have no words for how much I love it. Just know that I do and I'm smiling just thinking about it. That and every time he does anything remotely punk-ish.

-Claire's arc. I'm so glad they explored more with her powers and her similarities with Morgana. I just love her growth in this and her heart and downright stubbornness and hellbent determination.

-I'm not gonna say much on Merlin, but I will say this; congrats on actually making him a more rounded character and making me give some semblance of a shit for him. He still sucks tho. But for Douxie's sake I'll learn to like him.

-The Order. You guys. Guys. Skrael and Bellroc (I think that was their names but correct me if I'm wrong) are *chef kisses*. I'm sorry, but they're perfect. The perfect chaotic evil duo. Im not even mad at them for trying to destroy the world. And their character designs! No lie, I think I'm in love with both of them. They can conquer me anytime.

-And Nari! Shes just so precious. And the perfect representation for a nature spirit(? Demigod? Idk man), being both nurturing and willing to do harmful things if necessary (though she did end up regretting it). And I love that her and Douxie are travelling together now, that would be fun to watch.

-Real quick, but Steve calling out for Eli when he got knocked down broke me a bit. Like I know it was supposed to be funny but, he misses him and that's got me sad.

-And I'm so glad that Jim and Claire got to kiss! Multiple times even!

Speaking of

-Jim. Oh boy. I love almost everything that happened with him. And when he got corrupted? Honestly, I was not expecting that. I thought he was just gonna straight up die, and what happened to him for a while was just as bad. I loved seeing it all play out tho. And him interacting with everyone in the past was great! And seeing him be happy for a little while healed me. And then shit happened and I got worried again.

-I won't say much on the ending for Jim but. I'm glad it didn't feel half-assed, but I'm still not sure how to feel about it. That scar tho was pretty cool. I'm happy he's happy tho and that's all that matters.

-Also Morgana getting a backstory and even a redemption arc was wonderful and I loved seeing all the different sides to her and her relationship with Arthur.

-Last thing for now but my girl Callista! Deya the Deliverer!! She was sooo good. I was not expecting how good she was gonna be but I was pleasantly surprised by how rowdy she was. I dunno how to describe her, she just felt super real to me? Relatable I guess?? And shes gorgeous and I would 100% let her punch me in the face. And her and Jim being absolute bros! This is the only trollhunter so far that I feel got Jim and how he did things. They were both for humans and trolls and peace and friendship and her just existing is probably one of my top 3 best things about this season.

I'll probably add more later but guys, I haven't been this excited after watching a show in a while and I cant wait to rewatch the whole series.

Also a movie?! A movie!!

Magolor backstory

Heads up I'm very much pulling stuff out of my hat, it's just how I've filled the gaps and put the pieces together. Also contains Taranzolor a little at the end.

Halcandra starts off as a mostly volcanic area. The largest civilization are knowns as Halcandrans, a highly magical species. The biggest cities reside in Egg Engines, which isn't nearly as highly-mechanized as it is nowdays. A lot of the mechanics work off of Magic.

Magolor is born around 15 years before the events of RTDL. He's a feisty little kid, with a competitive attitude and a love for pranks. He's not a bad kid, though he is a bit of a compulsive liar in order to protect himself.

Some time after, Haltmann Works Company begin the Mechanizing Occupation Project. They work slow at first, due to the extreme heat of Halcandra, so they make false promises and keep on the good side of the Halcandrans. The project divides the people in two groups; those who welcome the mechanizing and those who do not. Magolor grows up to be very interested in science and mechanics, hence gaining knowledge of ancient mechanical artifacts and how to work them. One day he meets a traveler from afar. The jester introduces himself as Marx, and Magolor is very intriqued by his stories about Dreamland, and Kirby. He decides he wants to meet Kirby someday. Marx departs, hoping that they could meet again some day.

Eventually as HWC adapts their hardware to the climate, they ramp up the mechanization. Now threathening the dwindling amount of defiant Halcandrans to comply with their wishes or be mechanized themselves. Magolor, thrown into his studies learns to distrust the company and wants them to stop what they're doing to his planet. He is frustrated that their "so called Guardian" Landia isn't doing anything to stop the invaders, so he conjures up his own plan.

He steals the ancient warship Lor Starcutter he'd always admired, and readies it against Landia to obtain the Master Crown for himself. He hopes that with it's power, he can drive away HWC from his planet and return things to how they used to be. Things don't turn out how he'd like them to, and Landia swiftly shoots down the ship. Magolor makes his escape into Dreamland, and quickly spins Kirby a story about the "evil dragon". He had a plan to escape into Dreamland if things turned south, but hadn't prepared to recruit the help of Kirby and his friends. His words surprise even himself. He doesn't know it yet, but the Master Crown has imprinted it's call onto him. Driving him towards itself, and slowly corrupting his drive.

Meanwhile on Halcandra Landia, now awake and furious, drives not only the invading HWC from the planet but also the Halcandrans due to one of them daring to defy her authority. After her rampage, Halcandra is left in it's current state. Halfway between mechanized and natural and mostly deserted.

Once Magolor returns to Halcandra with Kirby and co. in tow, he is faced with a far more quiet planet than before. He stays back in in the Starcutter, not only for fear of Landia, but also to reflect. Coming so much closer to the Crown makes it wrap it's hold tighter onto him. He wants revenge. Landia has destroyed his home, and evicted his people. This wouldn't have happened if he had the Crown. He could have saved Halcandra. If he was in power nothing like this would have happened here. So he urges Kirby to continue on. Defeat Landia, get the Crown.

Landia is beat and Magolor obtains the crown, which further twists his intentions. Fueled by his loss of his people and his home, he claims ownership over everything. The Master Crown's explosive power transforms his body to resemble what an old, powerful and awakened Halcandran would look like.

After failing to take Kirby down with the Starcutter, he fights Kirby himself. After one final blow, he falls unconcious. The Master Crown finally takes full control. It digs it's claws further into his head and transforms him into it's own twisted image. Kirby fights once more, and the crown's power is neutralized, for now. Magolor is shifted back into his usual self, before the crown seemingly breaks.

He is teleported into the Lor Starcutter, who has taken control of herself, and is saved from the collapsing dimension. He remains unconsious for days, the Crown having drained all magic from his body. Once he wakes, he can do nothing more than speak. Even moving his hands uses magical energy, so he rests, shifting between unnerving sleep and wakefulness. Lor lectures him over his terrible desicions, but also offers sympathy. She knows about the Crown's terrible power and knows that while Magolor made the initial reach for it, allowing it to corrupt his mind, he was powerless to stop himself once the Crown's seed was implanted. Magolor realizes that it's his actions that drove his people off Halcandra, and expresses remorse. Lor explains that she's had sentience since the beginning, but hasn't spoken to him previously because she was watching his actions. She decided that while taking matters into his own hands was foolish and selfish, his original intentions were not evil. Thus, she decided to save him and see whether he'd learned his lesson.

Magolor took time to recover, both physically and mentally. He is left with distinct scars on his head from where the crown dug into him. He is also plagued by nightmares of the crown's vision of him and what he's caused. During this time, he also builds his bond with Lor Starcutter and gains her trust.

Once Lor Starcutter deems him ready, she pushes him to go and apologize to everyone his actions had affected. Starting with Landia herself. Magolor is anxious to do so, but Lor lets him know that Landia knows they're coming. Magolor makes it to her lair, and offers his apology. While she accepts it, she cannot yet forgive him and urges him to find a new place to call home. Magolor tells her this stopped being his home once he'd taken flight. He departs Halcandra, and makes his way to Dreamland.

Magolor feels too anxious to just walk up to Kirby and apologise, knowing his power, so he adapts a disguise and builds him a theme park. He hopes that this gift warms him up enough to accept his apology, or at least distract him enough for him to get his explanation in. Once construction is complete, he sends Kirby and his friends an invitation and waits. To his surprise, Kirby forgives him near instantly and is very happy about the park. The three other friends are more wary. They keep watch on the mage, and while he adapts a chipper attitude and plays a little dirty during races with Kirby he doesn't seem to cause real trouble. Eventually Bandee and King Dedede warm up to him too, and while Meta Knight seems to have put the events behind he still keeps a secret eye out on Magolor just to make sure he keeps in line.

Magolor adapts a semi-nomadic lifestyle for the following years. He travels dimensions to explore, see new things and hone his craft as he's decided building theme parks was quite fun actually. He returns to Dreamland pretty often though, since Kirby made him promise to come back and he cant help but to be drawn to the usually peaceful planet.

When Hyness and his priestesses arrive on Pop Star, he's once more called in by Kirby. Now given the title of Dream Friend, which is something he's extremely moved to recieve. He meets up with the rest of his "team", being Susie and Taranza. He is pretty shocked to find out Susie's connection with Haltmann, and though it first causes friction between them, they are able to work it out with some help from both Kirby and Taranza. Magolor learns truths about HWC, and how things went down when they invaded Dreamland. He wants to say they deserved it, but manages to keep his tongue to himself. He learns to appreciate Susie for what she is, and leave the past behind. While they aren't best friends, or good friends really, they can tolerate eachother.

After Void has been defeated, Magolor stays more and more in Dreamland. He still travels, but his travels grow shorter and more infrequent. In little time he stays back most of the time and learns to call Dreamland his new home.

Magolor and Taranza grow closer, as the peaceful years continue. They bond over the fact they don't feel welcome with their original home, and how they were both put in their place by Kirby. Eventually they both find themselves falling for one another. Taranza having finally gotten over the loss of Sectonia with the help of Kirby and his dream friends.

They end up dating, and as the years roll by go on to marry eachother and live happily. They adopt a stray Sphere Doomer at some point too.

Skip was…. confusing to say the least, Kenhla decided while scrolling through his file. She had asked Raffle for his file on account of his behavior whenever she went near him. He wasn’t rude or snarky but it seemed as if he was scared of him. She had half the mind to ask Jackal who Skip tried to stay near as much as possible, but he wouldn’t budge. Scrolling through the file she discovered new information about the clone but none that would help progress her investigation. “CT-4973, nicknamed Skip, is currently the gunner for Clone Force 37. He acts as their gunner and back-up pilot. Known for skipping debriefings.” she snorted. ‘At least I know where he got his name, but this isn’t helping.’ Continuing to scan the file she came across a bit of information that she read multiple times to make sure she understood correctly. “What the hell?”

Skip enjoyed staying in his nest. Twirling the blade in his fingers and looking out across the stars was calming. His memories couldn’t invade him here, at least he thought they couldn’t until the general walked through the curtain. Spinning around in his seat he quickly spat “Get out.” The togruta ignored him instead opting to toss him a datapad with his file. He quickly shut his eyes realizing what was about to happen. “You graduated top of your class in hand-to-hand combat. Why are you a gunner?” “I said. Get. Out. Please, I don’t want to talk about this.” “Whatever is going on with you I can hel-” “YOU CAN'T HELP! YOU CAN’T BRING THEM BACK! SO GET OUT!” Skip had risen out of his seat with tears spilling down his face. Kenhla took a step back with mild shock at his outburst, “I cant bring who back?” Realization coursed through his veins at what he said and decided to curl up in his seat. “Skip, you can talk to me.” The togruta said kneeling in front of the clone. “I know what it feels like to lose someone close to you. Please let me help you.” Memories flashed through his mind, the laughter, their smile, and their scream of pain. Tears started to fall faster and Skip inhaled deeply. “When I first joined 37 they were stationed on Krios. Raffle told me to become closer with the Togrutas living in the city we were aiding so I did. There was one that was named Jayln and he was my first friend outside of my squad. Whenever I was off duty we would explore the areas outside the city walls, go swimming in a nearby lake or even pull pranks on my brothers.” He shakily said while giving his general a small smile. “We were best friends, and I'm the reason he’s gone.” Kenhla stood up pulling him into a hug, “Can you tell me what happened?” Skip wrapped his arms impossibly tight around her scared she would vanish but continued with the story.

How could he of been so dumb? He should have known to block the sewers. He should have been in the city. These and a million others crowded his mind as he raced towards the city square vaulting over fallen droids and striking any that were still functioning with a swift jab of his knife. The knife Jaylen gave him, the same knife that would kill him. Arriving in the city square he saw most of the droids were already taken care of, much to his relief and Raffle ordered him and Jackal to find any hostages that were taken. Bolting down the hallways the two came to a stop when the hallway branched in two. “You take left, I'll take the right.” Jackal panted. Nodding Skip took off down the left running through the maze of hallways until coming to the control room where the tactical droids stood. He counted four droids and a handful of hostages before bursting into the room aiming for the neck of each droid. Spinning around to throw his knife at the last droid, it leaving his fingers before he could analyze what was going on. The remaining tactical droid was reaching for a hostage and pulled them in front to protect themselves. A hostage with red montrals. A hostage that Skip had spent the past month growing closer to. A hostage that now had the same blade that had once been a gift now buried in his chest. A scream erupted from Jaylen as he crumpled to the floor caught by the clone. “No. No, no, no, no, Jaylen cmon stay with me. I’m so sorry.” Ripping his helmet off he immediately tried to stop the bleeding but to no avail. A small laugh escaped the togrutas lips as he pushed his forehead against the clones ``It's ok. I don’t blame you.” Each word shaky on his tongue. “I’ll always be with you, for our friendship is infinite.”

“Jackal dragged me from the room. He’s the only one who knows what happened.” Kenhla allowed the clone before her weep for his fallen friend until his sniffles turned into deep breaths. “That's why you have the tattoo. Isn’t it?” Skip nodded, “You look just like him. That's why I hated being near you. You remind me of him.” “I’m so sorry Skip.”

That day forward the clone in The Lucky Batch noticed the growing bond between their gunner and general as well as the protectiveness that Skip usually saved for his brothers being shown towards the togruta. They all decided not to mention it but they were happy that Skip was comfortable around the General. Jackal was the proudest knowing the backstory and asked Pepper to give him a ‘I’m proud sticker’. The sticker now rests on the handle of the knife he keeps in his back pocket waiting for the day its user is willing to use it in battle once more.
