ahshdhshdh I promise I would’ve sent something earlier but like when you post is when I have to go to bed because highschool sucks-

BUT- about Kemuri and Kamakura. Well, more about Kemuri, but eh. I’m assuming they’re in the second killing game, sooo is their personality any different since the whole online aspect of it. And how does Hajime respond to them? also you might’ve said this somewhere before but what’s their ultimate-

I HAVENT GOTTEN TO TALK ABOUT THIS YET OMG THANK YOU THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT KEMURI

yes youre absolutely correct that hes in the second killing game and it is.. well its something for him-

so to understand everything im just gonna briefly explain a little theory i have, and thats that nagito actually switched back to being partly brainwashed after monokuma showed up, because seeing it triggered something in the depths of his mind

the same sorta thing happens to Kemuri, except worse since Nagito was often off doing his own batshit insane things, meanwhile Kemuri was one of the closest people to Junko (through no choice of his own) and his obsession with Izuru runs deeper than basically anything should

but basically before remembering stuff Kemuri is fairly chill.. he more or less reverts back to how he acted before being brainwashed and gets real close to hajime, and of course hajime doesnt really complain- since at the time nothing seems off or anything and he certainly cant remember shit yet-

however once Kemuri does get a few very blurry memories back he starts to piece things together that something is wrong, and slowly figures out a bunch of shit- he cant remember most things, in fact the most he remembers is Junko's existence and the fact that he was deeply in love with someone who should be on the island but yet isnt..

it starts to drive him more than a little insane- he starts off not really mentioning it, he always seems extra weird whenever monokuma is around or when Hajime did certain things but its nothing that couldn't be explained by the fact that hes in a killing game and they do actually get together close to when the first murder happens

then after nagito reveals his batshit insanity is when Kemuri really starts to change, to everyone else he stays the same but to hajime he starts to get downright awful, because he's remembered more about Izuru, and he knows that Hajime is Izuru even without direct proof and basically he starts to try and force hajime to act like Izuru

the further the game goes on the worse it gets as he keeps remembering more and more insane with everything, any time hajime tries to show emotion or be affectionate in a way Izuru wouldn't kemuri gets mad at him and if he ever tried to fight back kemuri would play victim, he is fucking horrible during this time and it gets to a point where Hajime is actually scared of Kemuri especially after nagito's death-

idk if ive explained this well but in short, kemuri is fucking awful throughout a lot of the game and hajime starts off just being annoyed by it and ends being terrified and having an identity crisis over it in the final trial- ngl its one of my favorite parts to think about just cuz like.. MMM ANGST its so painful and i have so many animations for them planned in my head

also they're the ultimate artist! no i do not care that its also angie's ultimate v3 doesnt matter- also a cute thing is that since jataro is also an artist Kemuri teaches him a lot of stuff.. theyre very father and son

16, 17 & 18?

16 Is there a character of yours who’s a realstruggle to write/draw? Why do you think that is?

Doc is impossible to draw because I accidentally made Kid so generic that Doc looks like him, but also looks like Teach, but also looks like everyone else. So he has to always wear a suit and have his destroyed features like, SUPER OBVIOUS, or else he’s impossible to pick out. I should’ve given him a more unique silhouette. Human AU fixes that, though.

Cal has too many legs and is very difficult to draw because of that

Human OCs are hard too. Mostly girls though?? why are girls hard to draw. Is this repressed sexism coming to bite me after drawing monsters for so long

As for writing, Kid gives me a lot of trouble, bc blanacing his anxiety with his need to act is very difficult, because he hates to run away, but there’s also a lot of times he can’t make himself move forward. It helps to have an outside force like Goop to propel him.

17. Which character is the easiest to draw/write?

Easiest to write is probably a tie between Doc and Rage, because they both have a very strong tug of personality and lack of outside morality or shame that lets them just do things. Characters like Kid and my human ocs are very very closely tied to the world’s ‘niceties’ and can’t make themselves break out of it. Doc and Rage have been on the very edge though, and they give no fucks at a certain point. That makes them pretty easy to make decisions with; they never stand still. 

Surprisingly, Sans variants are absolutely the easiest things to draw. Once I get a head shape down, anything goes? Anything goes. Throw some detail on that tunic and get a midieval sans. Meanwhile, if anything is off on a Gaster or Papyrus, it’s all fucked and you just have to throw it up on the interenet to move your blog along anyway

for human OCs I can at least just scribble really hard and it’ll be fine, but for things like skeletal OCs it takes like. Anatomy googles otl

18. Is there anything you really wish you could do,character-design-wise, that you feel is outside your current skillset? Aconcept that you wish you could pull off but are uncertain about?

I cant fucking villain

like I am so bad at villains. I will make them into a ‘good person,’ and while I know some of that is supposed to help with like, you know, complexity and shit-- when it comes to someone who just isn’t trying to make the world good, isn’t a walking tragedy, isn’t going to be able to be redeemed or reasoned with--

I can’t do that. I can’t imagine those sorts of people, even if they apparently exist. If I need a villain like that, my only option is to stay as far away as possible and not delve into their motivations, which is okay for things like fanfiction-- Deathstroke’s motives are already set up for me, so I just can throw my hands up and be like “aaaayyyyyyy, he likes monay!!!” and not worry too much. But like.

I have no idea what he does with that money! Why does he need that money??? I don’t fuckin know! He lives in a dumpster. What is he doing. Who needs that much money. He’s like fucking ancient. He could’ve retired and lived like a king years ago. Is he bored?? He’s not Izuru Kamakura bored. Is it like a hobby??? I have no fcuking idea. It sounds like a lot of waiting around and being bored to be a hobby.

i can’t rationalize this shit so I can’t make a character like it, and it annoys the hell out of me when trying to make original stuff because that means I need a whole cast all at once? what in the bullshit--
