CollegeTale Sans had been fun to think about for a while, but the longer you stayed in the UnderChat group, the more you realized how little you enjoyed being tied to the concept of school. It wasn’t like you even liked college that much—you only picked the persona because it seemed safe.

You didn’t even like college that much—why would you want to pretend to be a version of Sans who’s in it?

You groaned, running a hand down your face. "This is so dumb," you muttered. "Why did I even think this was a good idea?"

Finally, with a heavy sigh, you plopped into your chair, opened the group chat, and typed:

so this is how my Saturdays go these days........ rereading parts of TDDUP to make sure I don't forget anything and then daydream about what could happen next in the story and please let me tell you that every Sunday u do not fail to deliver the best chapter with the best content that I could ever have expected. And I am especially pleased that my stories/Joels make you feel safe, that is so wonderful to hear as a writer, you have no idea! I am so happy I could give you something like that and we can all share in that feeling together.

I did receive a request once before (I think?) asking to write something where reader's memories completely come back and I just couldn't come up with what that would look like. I always envisioned her getting pieces back here and there but essentially the events from her losing her memory and having to start over changed both her and Joel for good (and for the better, not trying to quote Wicked here, I swear). So I couldn't figure out how to write it while keeping them the "new" versions of themselves. But I am always open to any requests for them so we can always check in! If there's a certain part of the story you wished you had more details about or just a hypothetical situation, etc, send them my way. I gotta warn you, though, I am probably at least a month and a half out on requests (I have a handful still to do that are older).

Sam lays beside his brother in the still of the dark night. It’s 3 am and Dean is asleep. They’re sharing a bed again, and it’s driving Sam crazy. They’re facing each other, their hands barely touching between them, and Sam wants more. But he doesn’t touch. He can’t.

Damn it…

His brother is so fucking close to him, all he has to do is - but he knows he wouldn’t want to stop. He’s always wanted to touch, but he knows he absolutely cannot. 

Don’t do it…

He allows his fingers to brush against Dean’s softly. He slowly - oh so painstakingly slowly - reaches up to caress Dean’s cheek. His hair isn’t nearly as long as his own, but there’s just enough of it for Sam to tuck a bit behind Dean’s ear. He touches his cheek so softly and gently, the touch is almost non-existent. He’s so afraid of being caught that he puts his other hand over his mouth. He touches until Dean twitches in his sleep and Sam startles. He has to roll over to stop, to break the contact. It’s too much.

Fuck…

“Why do you have to be so irresistible,” he whispers quietly into the cold room, as he pulls the blanket up tighter around him.

I knew it…I shouldn’t have…

Dean suddenly mirrors Sam’s roll and throws his arm around him, his bare chest pressing up against Sam’s bare back, their sleep pants the only thing keeping them from full contact as Dean nestles into Sam’s shape. He pulls his younger brother close, placing a gentle, but simple kiss on his ear.

This can’t be real… 

Sam absolutely freezes. He stops breathing. Beside them in the other bed, John snores loudly. 

“Shut up Sam,” whispers Dean groggily, but he’s not angry. He finds Sam’s hand and intertwines their fingers, giving them a barely-there squeeze. “We’ll be okay,” he whispers. “I promise you.”

We’ll be okay?

Sam’s scared, but says nothing and lets himself sink into his brother’s embrace.

“Besides, you’re the one that’s irresis….” Dean slurs the last word as his voice fades into silence, his breaths slowing as he slips back into his slumber.

Did that just happen?

Sam's fear melts into nothingness. Yeah, It’ll be worth the wait.

Gosh Daylight is one of best things I have ever come across (and as an avid ff reader too). I don’t think you understand how beautiful your writing is. The emotion, the execution, the build up-everything is so amazing. This is my first time writing in anyone’s ask box because I truly think I need to say something for once.

Also I don’t know if it was intentional, but the main character (in my perspective) is a brown woman and I have searched for AGES for an implied poc character. i love the implication of it bc in my head, i've always envisioned reader (i say reader, but to me, she is an oc of sorts 🤭) being, visually, the opposite of colt. because it's a reader insert, i can't get too deep into physical depictions, but how i sometimes describe nadia can be seen as what a younger reader would resemble! not to mention that seeing the origin of the name ramzi and how the refugees in aot canonically appear, i knew i didn't want to portray their community as something v similar to traditional eastern/western europeans (like how i picture the marleyans). ALSO !!! tiny detail, but in chapter two, there's this line (regarding the gift colt gives her compared to all her other possessions) that fits the brown woman reader narrative and it's one of my favorite lines to date:

"The stark whiteness of the cotton stands out from the usual colorful swaths of fabric prevalent in the camp. It’s too bright, too squeaky clean, to properly fit in your life of once-grand clothes that have retained only a fraction of the beauty and boldness it once held."

won't chat your ear off about it, but i love reading ur thoughts and all the kind comments you shared with me 🤍 hopefully chapter 3 will live up to expectations
