@singto-prachaya kindly let me know that Harikarn has decided to announce the cast for The Hell Guards one week early, which... okay, that certainly is a mood. Maybe they're just really excited to start production.
As predicted, the Hell Guards has a huge cast because it's part of the Chains of Heart universe (which is actually the Art Adore En universe because afaik it all started with Hin and Payu but since Harikarn aren't the ones producing that - if it's even still happening - I'll just call it CoH universe from now on to differentiate it from Art Adore En and Love Puzzle. Confusing, I know, but bear with me 🙏).
You can find all of the cast listed on Harikarn's ig - some of them don't even have a role yet, so let's concentrate on the main players:
Tumblr media
Chaaim Alongkorn will be reprising his role from Chains of Heart, but this time he'll also play Payu's identical twin Yu (Waranyu). It's kind of unfortunate that Art Adore En and Love Puzzle aren't out yet because the very existence of The Hell Guards will spoil one of their plot twists. Mind you, not a terribly important one, but still.
Anyway, Yu is one of two main characters. He's been in a coma since his teens due to a brain tumour and, in exchange for a healthy life, made a pact with the god of death to hunt down escaped souls and guide them back to the underworld.
Tumblr media
Few Vayu will be playing Palang, the other main character. Palang is a medium who Yu meets at university. Palang mistakes Yu for an evil spirit because to him he smells like death. They eventually team up to fight evil spirits together.
Tumblr media
Seng Suphaksin as Bun. Seng played one of the mafia twins in Don't Say No. He'll also be in Boy Never Smiles and Lover Merman. As for Bun - there's a character named Boon/Bhoun (he was Payu's detective friend in Chains of Heart) and this is set years before Chains of Heart, so it could be him.
Tumblr media
Chai Sinsophak as Bhu. Chai played one of the mafia twins in Don't Say No. He'll also be in Boy Never Smiles and Lover Merman. Seems like they're a package deal. Yay for twins! As for Bhu (Bu? Boo?), I'm drawing a blank. I guess Bun has a (younger?) sibling? It would make sense since Yu and Palang are university juniors to Payu's and even Hin's friends.
Tumblr media
Gun (edit: sry I mixed up names here) Napat who I love very much despite his tendency to overact into one singular direction will apparently be playing a character named Bible. I have no idea who that is but he's probably evil lmao
Tumblr media
This is a huge surprise! Fiat Patchata will be playing Hin - Payu's boyfriend who was played by Marc Pahun/Natarit in Chains of Heart. Now, I love Marc with all of my heart (as you might know lmao) and I thought he did such a good job with Hin but Fiat is actually much, much closer to Hin as he's described in the novel. I am so excited for this version of Hin - even if we're probably not seeing that much of him.
Tumblr media
Now Wachiravit as Tos, and I have no idea who that is, either.
Tumblr media
Top Piyawat as Mac, and the name rings a vague bell (like, maybe the name was dropped in the Art Adore En novel but because it's such a huge universe and I've read only two novels this could be a very important character in one of the 2354623 other novels lmao).
Tumblr media
Haii Sarunsathorn my beloved - which means he should be playing Ken, but strangely enough he's been announced as Tree Wissanut Ekphakpoom. That's most definitely not Ken's name (which is Ken Thitidon Jungua). So either Ken ALSO has a twin (and who knows, apparently his estranged celebrity mother abandoned him) or Harikarn doesn't really care about screen continuity. Or maybe he's an evil spirit too.
Tumblr media
Jimmy Natthaphong as Guy, who along with Nott (remember, the random guy who could tell the future in Chains of Heart) has his own novel.
Tumblr media
Tiger Tanawat as Nott. Tiger was in Even Sun and Past-senger and will be in Live in Love and Boxer in Heart. As mentioned above, Nott can tell the future. He and Guy could be a side couple. They have their own supernatural novel.
Tumblr media
Plustor Pronpiphat (my beloved) as Mangpong, who is also a main character in a separate novel. He is the same age as Payu and Ken. He can fight very well and he's from the south.
Tumblr media
Ohm Pasawit as Safe. Safe is the same age as Hin and Pleng. He's Mangpong's boyfriend. They could also be a side couple here.
Tumblr media
Joseph Pharmtharm as Than - who doesn't even have a given name, and tbh I have no idea who he is.
There's seven more actors who have been announced without a designated character so could be one of them will be Pleng or Phrai (Yuji and Pong are missing too) or even Ken and Din (if they decide to recast). I guess we'll see. It's not as if the cast isn't big enough already.
I'm so excited for this though. If you follow this blog even a little bit you know how excited I am for this whole universe. And it's Chaaim as Yu (and Payu again)! I couldn't be happier tbh 😭🙏

actor!kento headcanons
ft. nanami kento x reader
content warnings: fluff, general actor headcanons, implied nanami x reader
wc: 749
note: i really have fun doing this, let me know if you guys want more for other characters! 🫶🏻
jjk actor au masterlist
Tumblr media
 as an actor:
i feel like he would be more humorous and laid back than his character
usually the one who starts teasing his closest castmates (probably haibara and gojo)
treats the 1st and 2nd year casts as his kids
especially the twins, yuuji and sukuna
acts like a father figure to them on set and takes care of them whenever they had a very exhausting scene to film (like fight scenes and such)
he's also the one who breaks the twins up whenever they have playful banter with each other
puts up with gojo more outside their characters and is actually tolerating his antics on set
will sometimes have a giggle fit whenever someone makes a light mistake during filming like voice cracks and stumbling during fight scenes
believe it or not, he's really the type to join gojo and geto in creating light pranks to the other casts
when a scene needs to be filmed before the sun even goes up, he pulls up to the shoot with coffee and the casts' (even the crew!) favorite drinks
knows their coffee and drink orders BY HEART
the producers love him because he's such a sweetheart
whenever he smiles (an example is during that mahito scene where he was trapped in his domain expansion and in the restaurant with ino), the crew is literally the definition of "got me kicking my feet, giggling, and twirling my hair" LOL literally big fans of him
speaking of mahito, people are surprised to know that they're very good friends and actually went to the same middle school
he is usually the one that he practices his lines with aside from his spouse
he CANNOT for the life of him practice his lines with gojo and geto alone because they will have a giggle fit every time 😭 they can't take it seriously pls
also shares his bentos made by you to his co-stars which they really REALLY love
he also takes his physic very very seriously and works out on a daily basis but it doesn't mean he won't enjoy a good cheat meal (which is also very often because whenever filming gets busy, they resort to take outs) hence he compensates by working out more
gojo really likes to touch and squish his biceps from time to time istg this man
believe it or not, he has an instagram, but his face is barely posted unless it's a promotion or magazine shoot
most of his posts includes foods, behind the scenes of some shoots, and his spouse, you
fans are raving and gushing about it
he also has highlights that are just food, travels, behind the scenes on the shows he is in
Tumblr media
as a husband:
unlike his character, he stays to work overtime most of the time (not that he wants to, it's just he NEEDS to) which you understood head on before you married him and before his stardom
you usually prepare his bentos before he goes to work
which is most the time also appreciated by his workmates so you make more portions to satisfy their stomachs as well
but whenever his hectic schedule and yours clash that you don't have the time to prepare him one, he settles with takeouts and convenient store foods which is enough to fill him up but it just does not hit the same :((
he practices his lines with you as a form pf quality time, his schedule is so packed that he takes every single free moment with you as a bonding experience
but sometimes he doesn't because he hates giving you spoilers and wants his scenes to be a surprise for you (*wink wink* hair grab scene *wink wink*)
the kids, the 1st and 2nd year casts (and maybe even gojo), goes to your shared home to crash if they're too tired to go home from the shooting site if your house is the closest
the 1st year trio, especially yuuji, goes by your home often whenever he gets easily bored
even though you're not the part of the crew, for how often they go to your home, you also treat them as your kids (yes, including gojo)
whenever they're around, it's always so loud and lively but both you and nanami are not complaining

Yandere V Tuber X G/N Reader
I had no idea people would like my fic! I thought I'd have a go at another:3 If anyone else has any suggestions on yanderes or writing technics let me know! -Jay<3
Trigger warnings! Yandere behaviour, Obsessive behaviour, Implied Yandere has a bad relationship with food, Yandere collapses. I believe that's everything but let me know if I've missed anything please!
🎮So a yandere popular girl....who isn't actually popular in real life but she's got tuns of followers online!
🎮Yandere V Tuber known for playing RPG's, Dating Sims or a horror game here or there! Though she never seems to get scared...how funny.
🎮 Yandere V Tuber who's Sona is just so cute! It matches her bubbly personality and cuties voice! (You would never know she streams from a room covered in rubbish and dusty anime figures)
🎮 Yandere V Tuber who doesn't leave her room let alone her home so making ends meet is a struggle sometimes. She doesn't have a choice but to get a roommate for her flat.
🎮 That's were you come in! Living in the wealthier part of the city is nice but you couldn't possibly afford to have a place all by yourself. So when you see a nice apartment right in the heart of the city with reasonable rent ,now how could you possibly say no?
🎮 When you meet Yandere V Tuber you're surprised to say the least. I mean she's cute but She's like L from Death note core.
🎮 Yandere V Tuber who has only three rules
1. Never go in her room, ever.
2. Don't open her packages.
3. If you hear her talking in her room don't come in.
Easy right? :3
It would be and till one day you notice there's been no sign of her. Usually there's dirty clothes in the washing machine but there's been nothing! Sure she could of washed it herself...but you doubt it.
'Knock' 'knock'. That was the only sound to be heard ,"Hello? Sasha?" You call out to no reply. The anxiety in you rises, you hardly talked to her but she seemed sweet enough to worry if something happened. You gently creak open the door to see her lying on the floor. She tripped and hit her head, you rushed over checking her pulse.
🎮 When Yandere V Tuber wakes up she's in hospital. The doctor said she'll be okay but needs to eat more. When asked who found her ,she's just mortified to find out that her roommate found her. You must think she's a slob! (She kind of is)
🎮 Yandere Yandere V Tuber who's so surprised to come home to a warm meal and her room tidied. You had felt so bad about not being able to visit her due to work that you cleaned all her surfaces, it felt too invasive to clean inside anything,(and you would of found some...interesting things) and made her dinner!
🎮 Yandere V Tuber never felt so cared for! She was raised by the internet basically so a real person asking her about her life, it felt nice. She ate every last bite and even helped clean up! She talked to you the whole time, you didn't know she could be so chatty.
🎮 What you didn't know was when you went to your room, Yandere V Tuber stalks all your socials. Sure you had already told her half of the stuff she sees but who are theses people you're hanging around? They don't look worthy enough to be with you. (She's so petty)
🎮Yandere V Tuber who steps up her game internally, streaming every other day instead of random bursts. Merch and events were released as well! All of her fans loved this change, thinking her mental healths improved.
🎮What they didn't know was Yandere V Tuber was only doing this to capitalise her image. She never forgot how you couldn't afford to visit her in hospital and she can't let that happen again. Now she knows how wonderful you are you need to be able to stay by her side!
🎮 Yandere V Tuber who spends the days she's not streaming with you. Usually she makes you watch shows with her. "You see that character (name)? Their voice actor was on my stream last night! Isn't that fun? Aren't you proud of me?"
🎮Yandere V Tuber who manages to convince you to get a tracking app on your phone. "My job is so public (name)! It's just for worse case scenario! What if someone finds out my identity?I won't even look at it!" (That's a total lie by the way.)
🎮 Yandere V Tuber who could just burst when you fall asleep on her shoulder. She definitely tells her chat all about you.
"Hiya Chat! My crush complemented my outfit today! Oh I never want to take it off! I'll wear it forever! Kidding... obviously..heheh."

Massage Therapy (Part Two of Two)
Pairing: Cillian Murphy x Reader
Warning: Smut, Prostate Massage
Tumblr media
The following week , you found yourself waiting anxiously for Cillian's arrival. You were eager to see him again and test your boundaries further but, as he walked in that day, you could sense his nervousness.  His eyes darted about and, despite his confident demeanor, he didn't seem entirely at ease.
"Hello, Mr. Murphy," you said warmly, taken aback by the expression on his face. "Are you feeling okay today?"
"Yeah, I am," he replied quickly, a forced smile spreading across his chiseled features.
You exchanged pleasantries as usual as you showed him to the massage room and it was then when he spoke up quietly.
"I, uhm, just so you know, I have not done this kind of thing before," Cillian admitted, a hint of vulnerability creeping into his voice. "I am curious though...how does it work? I mean, what will you do?" he reiterated, fidgeting with his hands.
You took a deep breath, gathering your thoughts as you prepared yourself for this intimate session.
"Well, I will start by having you lay down on your back," you began to explain, trying to steady yourself and ignoring the heat rising to your cheeks. "And I'll need to put a pillow underneath your hips to tilt your pelvis at the right angle," you went on to say. "I will then start by massaging your thighs and intimate regions, just like I did last week. This will help prepare your body for the internal massage. Once you're nice and relaxed, I'll proceed to using my finger to gently find and massage your prostate."
Cillian gulped, visibly taking in each word you said. The thought of being touched there was nerve-wracking yet thrilling all the same.
"I understand that it may feel a bit unusual at first," you continued soothingly. "But, believe it or not, it's actually an incredibly pleasurable experience, once you get past the initial weirdness."
"Alright," he nodded, taking another deep breath before he commenced to undress while you prepared the massage table.
You put a soft, clean sheet onto the bed, warmed the massage oil and adjusted the lighting to make the room feel more relaxing.
Once Cillian was ready, lying down on his back, he looked at you expectantly. You took a long moment before meeting his gaze, feeling the anticipation grow thick in the room.
You placed a pillow  beneath Cillian’s hips, tilting his pelvis at the right angle as he took a deep breath and sighed loudly.
"You are erect already and I haven't even touched you yet," you smiled, your voice low and soft as you looked at him, lips slightly parted.
Cillian blushed, looking away for a second before muttering, "Yeah... I can't help it... you have this effect on me."
"It's okay," you reassured him, placing your hand on his thigh. "I feel flattered," you said with a smirk and, with that, you started massaging his thighs again, using long, slow strokes that seemed to make Cillian groan in pleasure.
"I am going to massage your intimate area now,"  you whispered to Cillian, not expecting the shiver that coursed through his body as he nodded in agreement. You didn't waste any time before wrapping your hand around his thick shaft, as a bead of precum formed at the tip.
You were becoming increasingly turned on by the sight of the famous actor lying before you, submitting to your every touch. A fierce desire to pleasure him even more intensely took hold and your movements became bolder and more sensual with each stroke.
Your hand slid up and down his shaft like a well-oiled machine, making him shudder and moan with every movement before you eased his legs apart to gain better access to the netherspace.
Using some lubricant , you first began massaging his perineum with your free hand, applying pressure to the correct spots while your other hand kept pleasuring his manhood with slow but deliberate strokes.
"Jesus!" he grunted, head tilting backwards and jaw clenched as pleasure racked through his body in never-before experienced waves.
Your lubricated finger then found his entrance and gently probed in and around the tightly puckered muscle while you continued to stroke him with your other hand.
"I will insert my finger now," you murmured, feeling him tense slightly as you slowly pushed past the initial resistance. "Deep breaths. There is just a little pressure," you told him, as you gradually sank your finger deeper, seeking out his prostate gland.
Cillian let out a low groan as the pad of your finger glided across the slightly ridged surface. "Holy fuck," he swore under his breath.
You stifled a grin, and instead focused on exerting the right amount of pressure, maintaining an erotic tempo of strokes on his shaft and massaging his most intimate spot with the pad of your finger.
Cillian's chest was heaving, the fine muscles of his stomach contracting and releasing as his pleasure intensified. He started panting heavily, throwing his head back while clenching the sheet in his fists. You could see goosebumps of arousal rippling over his skin.
A clear liquid  was steadily leaking from his tip, glistening in the soft light seeping through.
Your grip on him tightened in response, causing him to buck his hips upwards into your hand and gasp in pleasure.
"Oh god, keep going," he groaned, almost pleading.
You complied without question, knowing that the end result would be worth the effort. The prostate massage was going well and Cillian was both visibly and audibly into it. His muscles were twitching as you circled his sweet spot with with your finger.
You could sense that he was close, his moans becoming increasingly louder.
"Do you want to come?" you asked in a heavy tone, already knowing the answer.
He nodded emphatically and bit his lip as an expression of pure delight took over his face. The question was just for formality's sake as you knew he was about to explode.
Without another word, you sped up your stroking on his shaft, focusing more attention on his tip as salty pearls of pre-cum oozed out for your grasping touch.
His hands gripped the table edges tightly, clearly struggling against the inevitable.
"Oh god, fuck!" he groaned, hurling his pelvis forward to push himself further into your grip.
For a moment, Cillian closed his eyes, and his mouth gaped open, letting out a series of throaty growls that sent shivers down your spine.
He was trembling uncontrollably as the final wave of pleasure coursed through him, and then it happened.
Cillian's orgasm erupted from the tip of his cock in thick, ropy strands that splattered your hand, his stomach, and the sheets below. You weren't prepared for the sheer volume of his release, and there was something inherently erotic about the primal way it unfolded. It was as if a dam had burst.
"Oh god!" he cried out, squeezing his eyes shut as his hips jerked spasmodically beneath you.
His cock was still leaking cum, that warm, wet sensation coating your palm as the last of his orgasm spent itself over your fingers.
Panting and flushed, he opened his eyes to find you smiling down at him, satisfaction radiating from your gaze. "Feeling good?" you asked, your voice dripping with satisfaction as, slowly, you pulled your slick fingers away from Cillian's sensitive prostate. He was still breathing heavily, eyes clenched shut, sweat glistening on his forehead.
He flinched slightly when your finger left his tight cavity  , letting out an involuntary gasp as you gently rubbed the tip of your finger over his pursed hole, spreading the warmth outside.
"Are you okay?" you asked, a small smile playing at the corners of your lips.
Cillian opened his eyes and shook his head as if to clear it. "Wow," he breathed, still sounding stunned and amazed. "Definitely okay."

Tumblr media
“You’re going to be a star.”
Lovely’s been told that close to a billion times in their life. It used to make them really happy when they were a kid. They’d grin up at their mom when she would tell them about all the awesome movies and TV shows they would act in once they were older. They’d practice in front of a mirror for hours at a time, reciting the few lines they were expected to memorise as a little eight-year-old. Even at that age, they wanted more. More lines, more chances to prove themselves worthy of the big screen, more of the spotlight. They only wanted to shine as bright as possible, to make their family proud.
“You’re a star.”
It feels egotistical to them, to say that they’re a star. But it would be completely ignorant of them to pretend they hadn’t made it far. Getting recognized every time they stepped foot outside, having people stand in line for autographs, people using their name and face for school projects, and not to mention, getting thousands of dollars just to say the name of a brand. As much as it warmed their heart, it got to be quite disorienting at times. To think that they went from being a complete nobody outside of their school plays and small commercials to being so… well known.
It was also really privacy-invading. Paparazzi was going to be the death of them.
But that’s the price I pay, Lovely muses to themselves as they try their best to breeze past the flashing lights and cameras being shoved in their face while they try to walk into the studio.
“..they could be a little less obnoxious about it though. Can’t believe this shit’s legal.”
Lovely looks up and squints to regain steady vision from nearly being blinded. Belatedly, they snort when they see Darlin glaring at the door they had just walked through.
“Yeah,” They say breathlessly, slipping their jacket off.
Darlin pats them on the head, “You need anything before they call you in? They said in about half an hour.”
Lovely leans into their hand, “‘M okay. I’ll just play games on my phone. Did Sam go in already for Daniel?”
The (slightly) taller of the two nods and gently leads Lovely over to a few seats in a slightly secluded area, “He should be done a little while though. I already went so do you want us to wait with you before you go in? We can take you home.”
Lovely was tempted to say no, say that they don’t need to look after them. They wanted to say that they weren’t a baby (even though they were significantly younger than both Darlin and Sam) who needed to be coddled.
But when Darlin guides them to sit down, fixing their hair, they only exhale softly. As long as they don’t need to call an Uber.
“Yes please. If it’s not too much trouble.”
Darlin grins, “Never for you, spark.”
Lovely huffs and pouts up at them, “Don’t call me that, weirdo.”
They only laugh and sit next to Lovely, sliding their phone out of their back pocket.
They rest their head on Darlin’s shoulder, going to scroll on their own phone to kill time.
✩★✩★✩
Lovely inhales sharply when their name is called out along with someone else. They clear their throat, and stand up, “Wish me luck, I guess.”
It shouldn’t still make them so nervous to do auditions after doing so many of them in their life. And it usually doesn’t. However, not only was this film one of the bigger ones they were called in to audition for, their agent said this one was right up their alley. And after they read the summary and script, they agreed. This one was perfect for them. The character Kaia was perfect for them. They wanted this role more than they’ve wanted any role in their life.
The male lead Lucas also happened to be their ideal type but that was neither here nor there.
“Good luck,” Sam flashes them a smile, “This is easy work for you.”
Darlin nods, “Don’t stress, you’ve got this in the bag.”
But what if someone better comes around?
Lovely leaves that unsaid, now was not the time to be insecure. They needed to have confidence.
But really they couldn’t help themselves, they read a couple hate comments too. Of course, they tried to tell themselves that the positive outweighs the negative and that the good comments were always so much more detailed and substantial than just “they’re not pretty”.
They take a deep breath and nod once, hardly noticing the other actor who stood up at the same time, walking back into the audition room. They smile back at Sam and Darlin before turning around.
They’re a star.
✩★✩★✩
Lovely walks slowly into the backroom where the auditions were being held, seeing only one other person standing around the door. They were so stuck in their own head about the person they would be acting with that they failed to notice the person they would be acting with.
They’re going over their lines in their head as they step into the hallway, reminding themselves to breathe when a voice knocks them out of their train of thought.
“So, you’re my Kaia.”
Lovely’s face prematurely scrunches in disgust before they even turn to look at whoever this guy was, not registering his tone and utterly annoyed they had to act with one of those guys. Again. They’ve worked with people like him before, revolting middle-aged men who only looked younger and thought it was okay to touch and sleazily flirt with their young co-star because they played love interests. Every other film they’ve acted in since they were 18. They were sick and tired and really wanted to enjoy this one so they turned to face this supposed middle-aged man so they could tell him off and set some boundaries.
However, they were met with the most handsome face they’ve ever seen in their life. He was smiling, not smirking, at them, his eyes shimmered even in the bright fluorescent lights, and his face looked sculpted by the gods. Lovely couldn’t help but let their eyes trail further down, scanning his body that they could somehow tell was just perfect underneath his hoodie and baggy jeans.
He laughs and—holy shit, Lovely thinks they’ve died and gone to heaven, he was so beautiful. Lovely snaps out of their little trance and meets his eyes properly, his beautiful brown eyes, when it clicks.
Oh my god, this is Vincent Solaire.
They also hadn’t known him personally, they acted in very different genres. They hadn’t even been a fan, per say. But he was just as well-known as they were. William Solaire, his father and agent, was a director they had worked under and that was one of their favourites.
Lovely inhales when Vincent brushes his hair out of his face.
“I would say you match Kaia’s description perfectly but.. I think you’re better.”
“Oh yeah?” Lovely laughs breathily, “Do you flatter all of your co-stars like this, or am I special?”
Vincent looks them up and down slightly and Lovely swears he looks at their lips, “You’re definitely.. special, Lovely was it?”
They nod, “Vincent?”
“In the flesh,” He grins.
Lovely smiles back, not having it in them to feel ashamed at the blush spreading across their face, only because he was blushing too.
“You don’t usually act in rom-coms,” Lovely hums, leaning back against the wall, “Why this one?”
Vincent’s grin widens, “You keep tabs on what I act in?”
Lovely shrugs, “I mean you’re not a nobody, I’ve seen you around. And where you are, Sam is. Gotta support my best friend’s man, you know?”
Vincent breathes a laugh, “Ah, that’s right. You’re Darlin’s twin flame.”
“In the flesh,” They repeat with a matching smile.
Vincent scoffs playfully, “Copy cat.”
Lovely snorts.
“Well,” Vincent continues, “I just wanted to try something new, you know? You can only act in thrillers and shit like that for so long before you need to switch it up to something more lighthearted.” He says, still smiling.
Lovely senses that wasn’t the whole truth but they nod, “I see. I’ve only acted in a handful of horror movies but I get it. They’re a little draining.”
“Oh yeah, you were in Locked Down.” He recalls, “I love that movie, you were phenomenal in it. Your acting was so realistic.”
Lovely smiles slightly, they always got a little sheepish whenever they got praised for their acting or any skill at all. You’d think they’d be used to it by now.
“Yeah well,” They clear their throat, “Screaming so much made my head hurt for days so I would hope it was good.”
Vincent laughs a bit hesitantly, “I’d say it paid off.”
Lovely laughs as well, going to say something else but the door in front of them swings open a little. They glance over only to freeze at the familiar face of Angel Shaw themselves standing in front of them.
Not familiar on a personal level, of course not. Lovely had never met them personally, but they and their husband were some of the most famous actors turned directors in North America. Lovely grew up watching Angel on TV and they were part of the reason Lovely even wanted to act in the first place. But even as they rose in popularity, Lovely always admired Angel and David and any film they directed. It was another recent dream of theirs to act under them, and this was their chance.
Angel looks at the two actors standing around the door and they smile, stepping out to show their full body, “Good morning, you two! Good to see you again, Vincent. We’ll be right with you both in a moment.” They turn to look at Lovely specifically, “Hi, there. I know we talked over the phone once and I’ve spoken with your agent but it’s nice to see you in person.”
You wouldn’t believe how happy I am right now, Lovely cried internally, trying to hide the star struck look on their face.
They clear their throat, “I-It’s nice to see you too. I’m a really big fan of your and David’s work.”
Angel laughs softly, “Why, thank you! That means a lot. We also enjoy watching you act, it’s truly beautiful.”
Lovely nearly died on the spot and they prayed to whatever god was listening that it didn’t show on their face. They barely squeak out a ‘thank you’ before Angel settles back into their professionalism.
They look at their clipboard, “So, you’ve both been called in to play the main characters and love interests Kaia and Lucas obviously. This “audition” is mainly just to see how well you two act together. Your chemistry, if you will. You’ll have like five-ish minutes to talk with each other and introduce yourselves and then we’ll start, okay?”
They both nod and Angel looks back up.
“Okay!” They smile and peer back into the room, “David? Are we good to go?”
“Yeah, send ‘em in.”
Angel nods towards the inside of the room, “Come on in then.”
Lovely dazedly steps into the room.
The room was bigger than it looked from the outside. There was a long table with six seats, four of which were occupied, the one to the right of David Shaw was empty, Lovely assumes that’s Angel's seat.
Angel points to the small table, “You guys can sit over there and get to know each other a little better and we’ll call you over, alright?”
Lovely and Vincent both nod and step in sync over to the corner. They both sit down and smile at each other.
“So Vincent, where are you from?” Lovely asks.
Vincent grins, “Well, I think it’s common knowledge that I was adopted by William when I was 10. But my birth parents were Korean and so were most of my foster parents until William adopted me.”
Lovely’s eyes light up, “Oh same!” They pause with a small laugh, “Not that- not that I was adopted but my parents are both Korean immigrants.”
Vincent laughs as well, “Really? Do you speak Korean then?”
Lovely’s nose scrunches, “I’m like- fairly fluent. I’m not as well-spoken as I am in English. My dad dogs on me for it all the time. You?”
“God, I have the speaking ability of a fourth grader.” Vincent scoffs, “Obviously, since I was adopted at 10 by a non-Korean man, my Korean just stopped ageing with me once I stopped putting in effort.”
They nod with a smile, “I get it. Have you tried learning more now that you’re an adult?”
“Not really? I think I tried a couple times when I turned 21 but I got impatient. But hey, maybe you could teach me,” Vincent tilts his head to the side, smiling at them.
Lovely stops breathing as they glance down at his lips.
“Yeah… I could.”
They blink when Vincent laughs, focusing back on his eyes.
“Mesmerized, Lovely?” He hums, beaming from ear to ear.
Lovely scoffs playfully, “You wish, pretty boy.”
“Think I’m pretty, huh?”
“Yeah well,” They smile a little more shyly, “I’m not blind.”
They delight in seeing the slight pink tint that spreads across Vincent’s cheeks.
He grins slightly, returning the small glance down at Lovely’s lips, “Yeah? I think you’re pretty too. Gorgeous, even.”
Lovely breathes a short flustered laugh, “Jeez, is this a part of the script? This is a lot of flattery for getting to know my co-star for an audition.”
Vincent laughs a little louder, “I’m only getting into character, of course. My Kaia.” He reaches over to gently hold Lovely’s hand laying on the table.
And Lovely feels their entire stomach light up brighter than a Fourth of July night. They swallow, forcing themselves to keep their breathing stable. They sigh shakily, “Yeah…”
Neither of them realize how long they’ve been looking into each other’s eyes until David’s voice calls from the other side of the room.
“We’re ready to get started, you two. Are you ready?”
Neither of them flinch. Not at all.
Vincent looks away first and gently drops Lovely’s hand, nodding at the directors. The two stand and walk over to stand in front of the table.
“Alright,” Angel looks up from the papers in front of them and smiles, “You can start whenever you’re ready.”
Vincent and Lovely both nod at the directors and then at each other, settling themselves into their roles. By the light waltz music starts playing softly in the background, they are both fully immersed into another world.
Vincent smiles completely poised in a way that is unlike earlier, holding his hand out towards Lovely, “Kaia. I’ve heard a lot about you from your father.”
Lovely grins back at him hesitantly, taking his hand, “That so? Lucas, is it?”
He hums as he pulls them into a slow dance of swaying back and forth, holding onto their waist loosely with his free hand, “That’s me. Prince of the House of Solaire.”
Lovely rests their right hand on Vincent’s shoulder, “Not the typical name for a royal, hm? I saw a picture of you and assumed James or Alexander.”
Vincent laughs.
✩★✩★✩
David leans over to whisper in Angel’s ear as the other casting directors spoke to the two, “They’re really good at this. I could hardly tell they were reading off a script.”
Angel snorts, tapping their pen against their paper, “Uh huh.”
He furrows his brows, “What, you don’t think they’re good?”
“No, no, not that. They’re wonderful,” Angel shakes their head with a laugh, “They’re just uhh- it feels like a little more than acting, no?”
David shrugs with a small smile, “I don’t know, Angel, maybe they’re just good at their job.”
“Right.” They roll their eyes, “And they were eye-fucking over there without the script for fun.”
“You shouldn’t speak about your actors like that, Angel.” David breathes a laugh, “And you know how insane actors are these days when it comes to getting into character. Remember Milo and the FBI Agent Incident?”
Angel stifles a louder laugh, “Oh god. They weren’t even using real guns for the shoot, he didn’t need to go to a shooting range everyday for a month.”
David bites his tongue with a grin, turning back to the two once Babe had finished speaking. He writes something down on his sheet of paper, “That was great guys, thank you so much. That’ll be it. We’ll get back to you in the next week.”
Angel bids the two goodbye and rests their head on David’s shoulder once they’re out of the room, looking down at his papers and snorting, “Didn’t need any time to think about it, huh?
David shakes his head, “God, no. They’ve had the job since they walked in here.”
✩★✩★✩
Vincent holds the door open for Lovely as they leave, to which they snort.
“Thanks, prince charming.” They pat his shoulder playfully.
He laughs and closes it behind him. Lovely jerks their head to the side to indicate Vincent follow them back to the main part of the building with a confidence they did not feel.
Vincent sticks his hands in his pockets, “Not to sound too proud, but I think we nailed that.”
“Obviously,” Lovely nods with a smile,”You could have looked at my lips a little less though.”
His eyes scrunch up into those little half-moons again to emphasize his amusement, “Well, who could blame me? They’re very nice to look at.”
Lovely raises an eyebrow, stopping once they reach the end-of-hallway door, “Only to look at?”
Vincent, once again, glances down at their lips as they spin around to face him whilst leaning against the door. He breathes a barely there ghost of a laugh, “Maybe more. Who knows?”
Lovely can’t contain the wide smile that overtakes their features, squeezing a fist behind their back to attempt to contain their excitement. Vincent looks back up at their eyes after a moment, shifting back into focus.
His head tilts slightly and he smiles sincerely, “You have beautiful eyes, Lovely.”
How they didn’t collapse right then and there, they’ll never know. Feeling crimson creeping onto their cheeks, Lovely laughs lightly and scratches their nose.
They had never been able to take praise of any kind without feeling like their entire body was on fire. They always laughed the compliment off or redirected it out of pure embarrassment. Recently, that is. Being in the spotlight so often since the age of 17 had indirectly forced them to be better at accepting the praise. Being ‘The Star of the Big Screen’ meant being continuously lauded all over the internet and often to their face during interviews or fan-meetings. They had spent so many hours in their bedroom, in cars, or in hotel rooms practicing their “poker face” and willing themself to never show a single person outside of their close circle how much a little praise flustered them.
The way Vincent spoke to them undid all of that. The tone of his voice, his gaze, his fucking confidence. If their body was on fire when it came to anyone else, he made them feel like they had just been thrown into a volcano.
And they could only thank whoever was listening that their days of tripping over their feet, choking, or sometimes straight up running away were over. The only thing that would be more humiliating than being complimented by the most beautiful person they’ve ever seen would be fumbling themself in front of him.
Shaking off their inner-monologue, they grin at him again, “Thank you. All the compliments today, are you sure this is still ‘getting into character’?”
“Of course, I have to really step into Lucas’ shoes.”
“Uh huh,” Lovely shakes their head with a laugh, “Sure.”
“Really! In fact, I’ll do the most Lucas thing ever and ask for your number!” He grins again, reaching into his back pocket for his phone.
They stare at him with barely concealed mirth, “The most Lucas thing ever? Really?”
“Nah,” He snorts, unlocking his phone, “It’s a Vincent thing for sure.”
Lovely doesn’t think their heart is supposed to skip that many beats but they chuckle and accept the phone offered to them, typing in their number quickly.
“Thank you kindly,” Vincent says, taking his phone back. Lovely hums and leans off the door, swinging it open and stepping in time with Vincent back to the entrance.
They both wave to Sam and Darlin’ still sitting there in the corner. Sam stops talking when he sees the two of them, waving back and the two stand up.
“Hey.” Darlin says, stretching their arms, “How’d it go?”
Lovely and Vincent exchange a short look.
“Good,” They both say at the same time, sharing a smile.
Sam raises an intrigued eyebrow but he smiles back, “That’s good. Do you know when you’ll get the call back?”
“Ah, David said within the next week,” Vincent says.
The two in front of them nod and Sam glances to the door.
“Is William picking you up, Vincent?”
Vincent nods and takes a look at his phone, “And he’s already here.” He looks up with a little smile that was mostly directed at Lovely, “Bye, guys. See you later.”
Lovely waves back at him, letting their gaze linger a little longer than normal until Darlin’ clears their throat.
And whatever confidence Lovely had vanished the second they were alone with Darlin’ and Sam.

Buck cannot believe it, even with all the unthinkable emergencies he has encountered throughout his career. A blazing airplane just landed on a freeway in one piece, not by pilots, but by Athena and a child.
What was supposed to be a certain death situation, has been turned around by the bravery and cooperation of everyone onboard and on the ground, even the actor.
Once Athena is safely evacuated from the crippled jet, Bobby runs to her with the desperation of a man stranded in a desert to an oasis, a sight Buck is all too familiar with. He doesn't know if he should be sad for Bobby and Athena for getting into danger every time they travel, or should he be happy that they are always there to help save people. Then Buck feels a tap on his shoulder.
"Thank you. For showing me what a firefighter is supposed to be." Brad, the Hotshots captain said.
"No, I should be the one thanking you." Buck shrugs. "You've really come through and helped us a lot. If you're considering a career change, you would make a fine firefighter."
Brad briefly ducks his head, then gives Buck a cryptic smirk, "And likewise, if you ever get tired of the bureaucracy, you can work on my show. You have that… leading man charm, acting could work for you." Brad winks.
"Really? Um… I love my job, but that could be fun?" Buck replies, imagining the life of a famous TV actor.
"Yeah, I can get you a guest star spot. You should come by the studio later, I can give you a tour." Brad leans his body against the 119 truck and stares right into Buck's eyes. Yet, all Buck can hear is the word "tour" and he can't stop thinking about Tommy.
"I have to go get my car back anyway, but that sounds great! You know, my…" Buck doesn't even have time to finish his sentence.
"Sure! You know what? You should come to the bootcamp I set up with Captain Nash too. Just us guys, heart to heart, men versus wild." "Uhh…. bootcamp?" Since when does Bobby organize firefighter bootcamp for Hollywood actors? Buck asks himself. He really should take the time to talk to Bobby more, now that he's adapting to the new arrangement at work.
"Oh, you don't like it? Forget about it. We can take my private jet to go anywhere you want. Bahamas? Hawaii? Europe?" Brad steps closer to Buck. "I just thought you would be a fun travel companion?" Brad puts his hand on Buck's shoulder and slowly rubbing it. Buck looks at Brad's hand and finally realizes the overly flirtatious atmosphere brewing between them.
"Ah… It would be fun and all but…" Buck dodges his head to the side and waves one of his hands, "I gotta tell you, I've already got a boyfriend, and it's getting serious so…" Buck rises his eyebrows and smiles to try his best at an apologetic expression.
"Oh, Oh… so it wasn't me you were smiling at then…" Brad stares at the ground, clearly looking embarrassed.
"I'm so sorry, you're a very attractive man, but I… My boyfriend is a pilot too, a helicopter pilot… and a firefighter. This all just makes me think of him." Buck cannot contain his smile.
"It's okay, I wish you two the best." The actor utilizes his skill to mask his disappointment. "My offer for the studio tour and private jet ride still stand though."
"Actually, you know what? There is something from your set I want to borrow…" Buck again is cut off mid sentence, but this time, by a familiar voice.
"Evan!" Buck whips his head around and sees a scene that reminds him of his sister's wedding.
Tommy, again in his turnout gear, runs towards Buck with open arms and concern on his face.
"Are you alright? Eddie told me you went to get Bobby and next thing I knew you were on the 110 parked in front of the plane!" Tommy's hands roam around Buck's body, not in their usual, sensual way, but trying to check for any injury like a doctor would.
"I'm fine. Look, all in one piece." Buck opens his arms and turn around, to showcase how perfectly healthy he is. "I'm sorry I made you worry." He understands too well what dating a first responder means. Part of him still expects people to leave him the first instant he makes them scared for his life.
"What are you talking about? All I want is for you to be okay… When I saw you weren't there with the 118, I just knew you were in danger. I was so close to stealing my heli…" Buck pulls Tommy's chin in with his fingers and shuts him up with a searing kiss, just like their first. Tommy wraps his arms around Buck's waist to minimize their distance. They move naturally like they were made for each other.
Brad looks on and thinks to himself, "that's it. We need a queer storyline."

Chapter 2 - This agent thing is easy
It felt like every light on stage was shining directly into your eyes, which was really making today's run through a little difficult. More difficult than usual at least. But whatever, you didn't need to see where you were going or anything like that.
Apparently the lighting guy for the show you were in was a little eccentric and thought it would be a good idea to change everything about the lighting cues last minute because the previous stuff was all wrong. Something about it not "illuminating the actors true essence" well enough.
It wouldn't have been such a bad idea if it had happened earlier on in the production, the setup had felt a bit one note. If you hadn't already had your opening night. A few days ago. And it hadn't gone very well so of course everyone was panicking. The buzz of voices around you grew as you all tried to navigate your blocking with the sun having manifested in the middle of the theater.
This is what you got for joining washed up productions in a theater group that was going to fall apart any second now. Jerry the lighting guy fucking everything up and the director nowhere in sight.
It didn't matter though, you had other things to occupy yourself with while everyone pulled themselves together. You hadn't been able to stop thinking about Rose all week. It was the first time you actually had fond memories from a shift- of being chased down through the kitchens.
She had seemed so small at the bar, half a head shorter than you and dining alone on a Friday night, but when she had talked to you she was exactly the opposite. She was a lot but in a good way, you didn't know how else to say it. In the way she'd wedged herself as close as possible in that dark alley, practically on top of you, and jumped right into asking questions- almost like an interrogation really. In the way she grabbed your arm so casually like you had already known each other for a while.
You'd liked the way her hair framed her face in a fiery maelstrom, adding at least half an inch to her height. You'd always had a thing for curls and you couldn't stop remembering one specific cowlick you wanted to smooth back. And the way her eyes never left your face, dark and playful and just as intense as the rest of her. Her intensity drew you like a moth to the flame. You couldn't believe she had chosen to talk to you out of everyone else in the restaurant.
And you had practically told her you were a big shot star despite despite the massive amount of evidence to the contrary. But so what if you'd stretched the truth a little? It didn't count as a full lie if it was gonna be true eventually.
Suddenly the whole theater went dark, silencing the room for a second along with your thoughts. Of course this was when the director decided to finally show up.
"Jerry again with the fucking lights?! Turn them back on!"
"I can't boss, I think we blew a fuse."
It was eerie how quickly everything grew quiet then, especially considering nobody could see a damn thing. Johnny wasn't known for being a particularly quiet director. Or kind for that matter. He shouted the minute anything wasn't going his way and he didn't pull his punches or sugarcoat any of his notes either- he could hit the back of the theater like the lead soprano in an opera any day of the week. But he didn't seem to have anything to say now.
Until- "Fine it doesn't matter anyways. Run through's cancelled for the day folks and so's the show tonight, something's come up. But I'm working on it so I still expect to see you all bright and early tomorrow morning!" The sound of footsteps echoed through the theater as he began storming off. "And the lights better be up and running by then Jerry or so help me I will replace you in a second!"
As if you could afford anyone walking out on the production at this point.
You stumbled blindly after Johnny as everyone resumed moving in the darkness, slamming into people on the way and half falling off the stage when you failed to locate the stairs. The lobby of the theater was pitifully deserted and looked like it had been hit by a group of vandalisers. Repeatedly. The few chairs they had available that weren't buried under spare costumes and old playbills looked as if they'd kill you if you sat on them, covered in various stains and splinters as they were. The posters on the walls from the troupes myriad of failed shows were so coated with dust nobody could make out what they said, which was probably for the best anyways, and if you looked at the ticket booth too long you'd notice what looked suspiciously like two bullet holes in the top right corner.
It was never supposed to be like this. You were in New York for a while, right next door to Broadway and hitting auditions everyday. For big roles too- you could've had it made by now if you had stayed. If life hadn't gotten in the way and shot you straight back down to home and straight into no good productions that fell apart at the drop of a hat.
"Johnny!" You called out as he rounded a corner.
He looked as if he wanted to disappear at the sight of you. "Not now Lucille, I have bigger problems to solve than whatever you've got going on."
You caught up with him anyway and followed him towards his office. "But I want to help." That was sort of true.
He stared at you in disbelief.
"Fine and I need to talk to you about something." You admitted.
"Yeah that's more like it. Christ it feels like the apocalypse everyday with you people, if it's not one thing falling apart it's another. Just one time I'd like everything to go smoothly, but that's show business for you I guess."
He signaled the bartender and ordered a drink. The theater didn't actually have any offices so everyone used the neighboring bar for their meetings. It wasn't such a bad set-up, the bar had a conjoining door to the lobby so they got some extra business from drunks wandering in and the actors had easy access to alcohol as well. Really you had to be drunk for their shows, whether you were in the audience or on stage.
"What's happened this time?" You asked.
"Francesca quit on us. Something about falling in love with a tortoise breeder in Portland." He downed his glass in one go before ordering another. "Actors."
Fuck. Francesca wasn't your lead but she might as well be. She was a good actress, confident on stage and precise with her movements. Always off book on time too. The show wouldn't be the same without her.
"I'm gonna try to call in some favors so we'll have our replacement tomorrow but I'm not hopeful we'll get anyone even half as good as she was. Who else can bring down the house with that final monologue? Loud and racy as hell that woman."
You leaned forward, face resting against the bar so you could make eye contact with him. He hadn't been looking at you, doing everything he could to pretend you weren't there. But you had someone who could take Francesca's place.
"What if I told you I could get you someone tonight? Hell, in the next hour if you want."
Now he was looking at you- like you were insane or something.
"Who?"
"Doesn't matter, you wouldn't recognize the name but she's great. Actually she's what I needed to talk to you about so this is perfect."
Johnny leaned back, regarding you suspiciously. "Huh. And you promise she's good?"
You nodded vigorously, almost smacking your head on the counter. "She's sensational."
He grunted in response. "Well I don't have any other good leads. You have three hours. And you're buying me these drinks."
You leaped up, simultaneously searching for your wallet and scrambling to get out the door as fast as possible.
"Thank you Johnny you won't regret this!"
He looked a little like he was starting to regret it already but it was too late, no take backs.
You were going to find Rose.
This whole getting someone roles thing was easier than you'd thought. Maybe you should have been an agent instead.
***
The decor in the living room was all wrong. The walls were a flat, off-white color that blended in too much with everything else in the room, from the cream colored sofas to the lousy bland armchairs. Despite what the room was called it looked particularly unlived in- repetitious and boring like it was decorated by someone hired, not by Louise or Rose.
Rose reached up and moved one of the pictures on the wall slightly to the left. Some wallpaper would do this room good, maybe something floral. Or anything with color really. She should've kept the cow head instead of getting rid of it last month to appease Louise. It would've looked great above the mantel.
The curtains were too long. That was the real problem. She moved to adjust them and they tangled together in twisted loops on the floor.
Maybe if she didn't have so much time on her hands to look at everything it wouldn't be such an issue. Really the problem was how often she was left to her own devices these days. An abundance of free time had never been a good thing for Rose at all.
She ran her hand along the back of the sofa, absentmindedly tracing along the seams and scheming of ways to fix the room without Louise noticing.
This was pathetic. What was she even doing standing around like some sort of boring old lady, the room was fine it was her life that was the problem. Again. Since when did she let herself be sidelined and forgotten in a corner? She should be planning another act for her daughter. She should be-
The doorbell rang cutting her silent rant to herself short.
"I'll get it!" Rose called out, glad to have something else to distract herself with.
Then she remembered that she was alone and calling out to no one. She'd sent the maid home early and Louise was who knows where. Probably at some important meeting Rose hadn't been invited to.
Though secret meetings she wasn't involved in were quickly moved from her mind as she opened the door and came face to face with you.
"Hello." You said with a small smile, looking equally excited and startled like some sort of prey animal again. Like you hadn't really expected to see her at the door somehow.
It had been over a week since she'd first spoken to you at the Cattle Classique. Even though she'd told herself she'd find time to bother you she hadn't gotten around to it. Rose'd never had an issue going after anything she wanted before and she certainly had the time for it right now, but something had stopped her.
She couldn't help the smile that spread across her face at the sight of you though, reflecting yours in matching delight.
"How do you know where I live?" Rose asked after a few beats of silence.
"Um, I wouldn't worry about it." You said, eyes widening slightly before very quickly moving on. "I think I got you a part in this show I'm in!"
Rose had been looking for something to do. She invited you inside.
She could tell you were hesitant to accept the offer, but you entered anyway after a nervous second. It was funny how you contradicted yourself, bold and excited one moment then shy and uncertain the next. You seemed like someone who knew what she wanted and how to go after it but you were unsure in you actions leading up to it.
It was cute. How you looked so shy as Rose led you through the house but your steps rang confident.
"We don't actually have a lot of time." You said, taking in everything in quiet awe.
"Wouldn't be the first time I've been involved in a last minute audition."
"Oh good." You did sound immensely relieved by this for some reason. "We have three hours."
Rose turned to look at you swiftly, drawing your attention back from your surroundings. Good. Sure it was nice that you liked the place so much, she hadn't always lived in such glamour, but she wished you would pay more attention to her. It wasn't like she could take much credit for where she lived these days anyways, stonewalled from anything involving Louise as she was.
"Well why did you let me invite you in? We should go now." She started moving back towards the entryway, making a mental list of everything she might need as she went along.
"What? Now? You haven't even looked at the script, I haven't told you anything-" You protested, scrambling to keep up with her sudden change of direction.
"What's the role?"
"A noblewoman during the regency era. She's loud and a bit of a comedic part but she has some of the best lines and is sympathetic-"
"I could do it in my sleep. Just let me get my coat."
"Okay- Rose-" Your feet skidded on the tiled floors behind her in your rush. "Wait!"
Rose paused reluctantly. If you had expected to find things going steady and slow with her you had another thing coming. Rose didn't do waiting around for things to happen.
But when she turned to look at you again she saw something soft on your face, not apprehension or exasperation, combined with a measure of excitement and determination that rivaled her own.
"Okay." You said for what must be the seventeenth time. "You're going to nail this audition and we're going to own that stage several nights a week for the next couple months."
Then a touch of worry clouded your face as if you'd just remembered something terrible. "But this theater isn't exactly the grandest place in the world." You were fiddling with your sleeves anxiously. Rose wanted to reach out and grab your hands, do anything to comfort you. "It's not a permanent setup for me, hell I'd be surprised if the theater itself even lasts a month, but you gotta start somewhere you know?"
Rose knew.
"We can work our way from that dump to anywhere in the country we want." You continued. "I just needed to warn you first."
That last part was said like more of a challenge than a warning, with your chin jutting out and a frantic look in your eyes. Jesus you were adorable. And Rose loved a good challenge.
She reached out and cupped your face, giving in to her impulse to touch you. "Let's nail this audition then."
You leaned into her touch before she pulled away, murmuring another startled, "Okay."
Rose chose one of her favorite coats for the occasion, an emerald green number that fell to her calves with a small ruffle around the shoulders, almost like the petals of a flower. Louise had made it for her years ago out of the silk backdrop they'd used for some fairy land show she'd had a dream about.
"Let's go." She tried to go past you on her way to the door but you put a hand on her arm, gently stopping her.
She froze again, exasperated- if she really only had three hours like you said then you needed to go. And she knew her coats were loud and she didn't care- wasn't changing it for any audition either. That it made people notice her was by design. But she didn't want you to say anything about it.
Instead you ran your hand over her shoulder, straightening the coat out where it had gotten bunched up. "There. You're gorgeous."
Rose tried her best to keep it together as you linked your arm through hers and dragged her out the door. She really needed to stop underestimating you.
"Now we can go."
***
You hadn't been kidding the theater was a dump, but Rose had seen more than a few trashy theaters in her time. At least this one didn't seem to have cabaret acts or anything below board like that involved- though the shady bar attached to the theater like some sort of leech certainly wasn't helping it's character.
She'd gone over the script with you in that bar for a frantic couple of hours, pouring over the words and trying to memorize as much of it in as possible. The show wasn't good but it wasn't all that bad either, there were too many monologues for her taste but the high-speed carriage chase at the end really tied it all together. The important thing was Rose knew she was good, she was great actually. She could turn this show from a mediocre one to a fabulous one, and she could feel something inside herself come alive at the prospect of having something to work on again, of being back in the game. Of being needed for something.
"You're going to do fantastic. Just don't listen to anything Johnny says he's an asshole." You were saying as you lead her towards the theater, stopping outside the doors with her. "I'll be right outside the whole time- though I don't think you'll need any help."
It was a nice bonus how much you seemed to believe in her too.
Wait.
"You're not coming in?" Rose felt unusually panicked at the thought.
You shook your head. "Johnny likes to do his auditions without an audience, something about it being personable and bringing out a more honest performance from the actor."
That just sounded like it was inviting in a whole world of trouble. And also counterintuitive to the idea of theater in general. Wasn't the whole point to have an audience?
Rose resisted the urge to cling on to your arm and drag you into the room with her.
"Well this Johnny doesn't sound like the type of guy we need to be listening to even if he is the director. Come in with me." She tried instead.
But you shook your head. "We have to play this as much by his book as possible, at least until you get the part. Like I said, Johnny can be a little difficult."
Rose didn't say anything in response, just turned to the door and took a deep breath.
"I'll be right here Rose." You assured her.
Not that she needed it. She was going to be just fine.
She rolled back her shoulders and said to the door- "Yeah yeah, don't worry I've got this one."
Johnny was leaning against the stage with an arrogant swagger in his stance, studying the script as if he only had a few seconds to look at it before it grew legs and walked away, refusing to look at her as she crossed over to him. He'd looked short and grumpy from across the room, like all the worst stagehands Rose had dealt with over the years, and he didn't get any taller or happier the closer she got.
When he finally glanced up after she cleared her throat she realized it was much worse than she thought. His eyes lit up with recognition.
"Rose Thompson Hovick." He half exclaimed and half spat. "Now there's a face I'd hoped to never see again."
Rose didn't like swearing but she could think of many choice words she'd have liked to say in that moment.
"Jonathan Beaver." She said, straightening her back in response to his accusing stare. He was taller than her but not by much- she could take him if things got ugly.
Johnny pushed away from the stage, matching her stance in intimidation. "Come to steal another venue from me? Well you'll have to get in line, I have a show already falling apart and a last minute audition for this role I have to fill."
He seemed to realize what he'd said as soon as it came out of his mouth and quickly followed it up with- "Though it's a much better production than last time I saw you, what was it seven years ago now? And that sorry act you replaced mine with- Baby June and the Sickly Cow?"
It had been about dancing goats actually, way before she'd ever introduced a cow, and it hadn't been sorry.
"Well what I've got going on is a real winner this time and I won't have you waltzing in to ruin it." He continued before Rose could correct him.
Glancing around the decrepit theater she tactfully chose not to comment on the actual state of his show. Her face said it all anyways.
"I know." She said instead. "I'm here for the audition."
You could hear a pin drop in the silence that followed. Something thudded softly in the background but Rose couldn't tell if it was the broken down theater or her anxiety. Then his face slowly stretched from that infuriating scowl into something she thought was supposed to be a smile.
"You're Lucille's lucky actress? Aren't you a little old?"
"I'm not the one here that's old enough to remember the start of the civil war."
That wiped the smile off his face real fast. Rose refused to back off, lifting her chin in defiance and daring him to make another comment.
He did of course.
"Funny. I wouldn't have thought this would be the role for you if I'm being honest, it's a little too refined. I'm sure I could find something more appropriate for you though- maybe a mother? But then if what I've heard is correct you weren't very good at that in real life, never really there for your kids in any way that mattered. Why would it be any different on stage?"
"You take that back right now."
She was seconds away from throwing the audition out the window and jumping him right there. If Rose was one thing it was involved in her children's lives. That's more than some could say.
"Fine." He gave in, though she suspected it was mainly so she would shut up. "You can have your audition, be my guest. I'm eagerly awaiting this so called talent you always claimed to know so much about."
She didn't appreciate the sarcastic tone in his voice but she confidently took to the stage anyways and prepared for battle. This was going to be no walk in the park but it didn't matter- Rose was no pushover herself.
***
The bar attached to the theater really was a depressing piece of work but Rose didn't have anywhere else to go. She didn't want to go home and she didn't want to be out on the streets looking for another sorry hole to sulk in.
The audition hadn't gone well to say the least. It had started off on the wrong note and the tension only increased the longer Rose tried to make it work- then it had ended when Rose accidentally knocked over one of the fancy side tables being used in the show and Johnny told her to get the hell out. She'd left with dignity, kicking over a chair for good measure on her way out.
Of course it hadn't gone well, anyone could have known that, because Johnny hadn't wanted it to go well. He didn't want Rose within 50 feet of his theater because of some stupid grudge from almost a decade ago. Stubborn old bastard.
So it was his fault things hadn't gone well really and it had nothing to do with her or her talent. She had plenty of talent to go around.
The bartender set her drink down in an unnecessarily harsh manner, bringing her out of her thoughts. He moved on to two women on the other side of the bar that were in a heated discussion before she could say anything about it and Rose considered leaving after all.
She hadn't gone back to you after she'd stormed out of the audition, exiting out the stage door opposite from the side you were on. What was the point? She was beginning to suspect she was old news, washed up in the business before she'd even got the chance to put her own name out there. Not a star but a figure in the background and maybe no amount of dreaming was going to land her in the spotlight. You were just starting out- you still had plenty of time to make it and you certainly had the charm for it. What was the point?
She needed to find one if she was going to face you again otherwise this was all just a bit too pathetic. She got up to go home only to be narrowly missed by someone storming out of the bar before she could- one of the women that had been arguing.
"All right be that way! I don't need you to make this show work- there's plenty of other actresses willing to work with me!" The other woman called after her before slumping against her table like a kicked puppy.
Something itched at the back of Rose's mind and pulled her across the room to the table. The woman was tall and angular with a full head of straw colored hair shielding her face from view. She seemed to be trying to melt into the table.
"You have a role to fill?" Rose asked.
She looked up in surprise. "Yeah. We start rehearsals tomorrow but one of my extras quit on me last minute. Something about getting revenge on a tortoise breeder for stealing her best friend?"
Rose sat down without needing an invitation and leaned across the table enthusiastically. "What if I told you I could help?"
The woman's expression shifted from surprise to suspicion. "Why? Did Johnny put you up to this? I won't have him meddling with my shows just because he feels threatened by a new director."
"Are you kidding? The last thing I'd want to do is be associated with a schmuck like him."
The other woman studied her for a second before offering her hand. "I'm Lydia. New around here if you hadn't already guessed."
Rose took it. "Rose."
"So you have someone in need of a part?"
Rose faltered. Someone. As in not her, someone with more talent and few less years. Someone who could play noblewomen and leading ladies instead of being laughed off the stage for being too wrong.
"Yes it's-" She was losing steam. "What's the role?"
Lydia sagged again like this was going to be a deal breaker. "Just a few extra roles in the ensemble- a handful of lines, nothing too big. But I could work something out if your actress really is good."
Rose could work with that, even if it did sound a little desperate. She willed herself to pick up speed again.
"Oh she's great alright, you're gonna want her on that stage for more than a handful of lines worth. It's actually-" She broke off again, locking eyes with Lydia across the table- skeptical but with a touch of hope.
She found herself saying- "Lucille. Her name's Lucille."
"Great. Is Lucille free tomorrow?"
***
You hadn't been out in the hallway where she'd left you. Of course you hadn't, it had been well over an hour since she'd disappeared into the theater. There were voices echoing out from a room somewhere further down the hall and Rose hesitated for a second before turning around. It didn't feel like you would have stuck around and just drifted to another crowd if Rose never came back.
She realized, and not for the first time, that she had no idea how to find you. But she'd figure it out. This predicament wasn't so unusual for her, she didn't often hesitate before starting anything and that included the people that she invited into her life. If the first impression was good then that's great, welcome aboard, you were in her life and the rest of the details of actually knowing you could come later. She didn't have time for small talk when fame was on the line.
Rose left the theater, hands snagging on the rough wood of the door on the way out- it was like nothing in the entire building had ever been sanded down- and stepped out into the cool air. Maybe she could fall back on old plans and haunt the Cattle Classique for a while.
The door slammed open behind her.
"Rose!"
You looked so gentle framed in the doorway like a painting, a worried expression on your face and your eyes shining a little. Her breath caught in her throat at the sight of you before she could say anything about what had happened.
"Lucille." She was certain you couldn't have heard her the way she murmured your name under her breath, like a prayer or an invocation.
"I thought-" You cut yourself off before shaking your head. "How did the audition go?"
Rose mustered all the excitement she could to put into her next words. It wasn't so hard to do now in your presence .
"I didn't get the role, but you're never gonna believe this!"

Here's my request the reader is a teenage girl and she's from a planet called Gastro-XV that's been the victim of a stellaron, and this planet's situation is much worse than Bellebog, the planet is nothing more than a huge desert now, and not only do the very few remaining survivors have to deal with fragmentum monsters, but also abominations of abundance, their weaponry is about the same as ours. Most of the people left on Gastro-XV believe in the phrase "Every man for himself". Ngl I was inspired by the pangea desert when I thought about it, and I got the idea of both fragmentum monsters and abominations of abundance by some modded Minecraft playthroughs. The reader has been taken in by Boothill and went to Penacony with him and Rappa during the 2.6 quest, the reader was especially interested in paperfold University because she's never been able to go to a real school.
🌑Lets hope i did good since paperfold academy took so much of my brain to process, also reader is implied to be almost illiterate. Tried my best with this, hope you like it!!
𝐀 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫
Tumblr media
Lights nearly blind you from every angle as you step onto Penacony, bright and beautiful. Being starstruck given what you’d grown up seeing; long stretches of nothing but dust occasionally broken up by various kinds of beasts looking only to kill all those who came close – compared to that, this might as well be a whole other universe all together.
“Don't get too distracted,” Boothill lightly chides, nudging you softly to get your attention, “we have a mission.”
“Right.” You reply, reigning yourself in as best as you can, still subtly glancing around to marvel at the lights and people, “Where’s Rappa?”
“She’ll meet us there, something about… monkeys? I think.” The cyborg furrows his brows, probably thinking back to said conversation with the Ninja. You don't question it, no use given what she's usually like.
You make your way to Paperfold Academy with a bounce in your step, eager to see what an actual school is like. Boothill doesn't chide you for the dreamy look in your eyes when you arrive,  letting you take your time looking around.
It’s bustling, as expected, but you’ve never seen so many people together like this, each one of them so different from each other. It messes with your head a little bit. To think that this sea of bright lights and joyous souls was once a desert planet, like yours.
Boothill’s caught up in some sort of nonsense conversion about bananas, unaware of you wandering off, eyes taking in everything around you or trying to, so many colors and sounds seem a little too much for you to absorb.
Before you know it, you find yourself in one of the academy halls, much more empty than the main plaza but still filled with people moving about, chatting amongst themselves about subjects you don't quite grasp. You wonder to yourself, how difficult would it be to enroll, just to see what a real class is like! Both Rappa haven't been very helpful with figuring it out, considering they too have never been in school and are much less interested in finding out what they’re like. Though you can't exactly blame them – their life goals have less than nothing to do with education in general.
The sounds of people mingling fade as you step deeper into the building, where the lights are dimmer and the halls are quieter – it gives you a chance to take a breath as adrenaline had begun filling your veins without your notice. Everything is just so exciting!
But Boothill’s right, you have a mission, you should find Rappa and– is that a monkey in a lab coat?
A poster about one ‘Profnana’ catches your eye… though you’re unable to read much more beyond that. What a strange place. Still you sit there and try your best for some time – this is a place of learning, after all, you should try to improve your reading skill.
Focused as you are, you don't notice the red eyes set on you from behind the corner, watching, observing, “...You will make a great actor.”
Suddenly, a wave of unpleasant memories from before Boothill had taken you in floods your mind so viciously that you’re left scrambling for a grip against the wall in front of you, breathing heavy and heart rate accelerated.
Before you’re able to even question what is happening, the feeling is gone and a hand lands softly on your shoulder – it's Rappa. Her lips are moving but you only catch the end of her sentence, “--you ok?”
It takes you several seconds to nod, flashes of the scalding sun upon your skin and the dirt under your nails staining your mind long after the moment has passed.
You ask her where Boothill is, she says he's gone already, starting his part of the plan – you barely register her words.
Eyes watch you both from the shadows as Rappa launches into one of her ninja speeches that you barely pay attention to.
Yes… what a wonderful actor you’ll make.

You glared at the screen of your phone, the last message Zen had sent illuminating the room.
He had just told you goodnight, explaining how he wished there wasn't a wall between you, how he wanted to hold you in his arms till you fell asleep. But how doing so would be unwise, how upon seeing you, his inner beast would come out and he wouldn't be able to hold back anymore.
Which is why you were currently sleeping in the guest room. Which is literally next door to his bedroom. Not even the smallest effort was required to fulfill his desires.
It was stupid reasoning.
You looked over at the wall facing Zen's room. It was quiet, so perhaps he was trying to sleep right about now. But you doubted he'd be able to fall asleep so quickly after putting down his phone.
With a huff, you threw back the covers and barged over to him. You threw open his door and wasted no time ripping off his covers and crawling into bed next to him.
He let out a gasp, jumping up, ruby eyes blow wide as he focused on you.
"J-jagiya!? What are you doing in here? D-did you have a nightmare?"
You grabbed the loose collar of his muscle shirt and pulled him down next to you again.
"You talk a big game for someone so confident. Though I suppose I should expect as much from an actor." You let out an annoyed sigh, nuzzling into his chest.
"Jagiya ...?"
A rose blush bloomed across his cheeks, crossing his nose as he stared down at you. He had spent days imagining this moment since chatting with you, he could hardly believe his dream was actually coming true.
That furrowed brow and pout on your lips was unexpected but oh so adorable. And you were you so eager to come be by his side!
It was no wonder an endearing smile curled across his lips and his hand raised up to brush your hair back soothingly.
But then, he stopped.
As amazing as it was that his dream was coming true, it couldn't happen now! He had just explained why he couldn't be in the same room as you right now, if he just went on to snuggle up with you now, he'd lose his credibility and you'd never be able to believe a word he said again.
Not to mention how his dreams usually ended up continuing.
Gosh, laying here pressed against him he could smell the exact type of shampoo you were wearing and see each and every roll and curve of your perfect body and feel the warmth of your skin against his own. You fit perfectly into his arms, it was like you were meant to be there. It wouldn't even take any strength from him to be able to flip you over, your wrists pinned down by his hands, trapping you beneath him, to look down at you adoringly, and to lean down, press his lips against your skin, anywhere he so desired, and to run his hands-
"Jagiya ...," he murmured, brushing his thumb across your cheek instead. "... you need to leave."
"Hah?" You narrowed your eyes at him. "Zen, you've been saying how much you want to see me for days and now that I'm here you want me to leave? No way. I've been waiting for this moment as long as you have and I'm not gonna waste it by staying away from you."
Zen couldn't help but smile adoringly at you. He gently brushed your hair behind your ear, "I know. It's unfair really, but, if you don't leave ... I'm really not going to be able to hold back."
"I'll believe it when I see it."
He let out a breathy laugh, "I don't think you understand, Jagiya. There are certain things that happen to man when he's in the presence of a beautiful being."
You frowned at him, "but I'm gonna have to leave tomorrow. Jumin was expecting me to leave tonight, so I may not get this chance again. Can't you spare even a couple minutes for me?"
He rolled his eyes at the mention of the business man's name, but distracted himself by tucking his blankets around you.
"That guy's too full of himself ... I'd have gone to get you a long time ago if it were up to me."
This time, when you gently tugged him down next to you, he didn't back away.
"Good thing we don't have to worry about that right now. Can I stay here for a bit?"
He couldn't help but smile, finally settling into the mattress, "Alright, Jagiya. I'll try and be a gentleman ... but no promises."
Ginning back, you curled into his chest, eyes closing. "I promise to leave if that beast does exist."
The two of you shared a chuckle before it aired up into a steady silence, drifting off comfortably.
"...I'm telling the guys about this."
"Zenny."

Long post ahead, I have a lot of feelings about Mag 101
Boy oh boy was I waiting for this one. I'd heard bits of it before starting the series, so was really looking forward to reaching this point and having context for the bits I had heard.
So, first part with Jon and Nikola, jeez louise. Nikola once again walks the fine line between horrifying and hilarious and I gotta love that. She talks about skinning Jon so casually, it made my stomach twist, but the way she talks like a kindergarten teacher or something is so funny.
Nikola asks Breekon and Hope to keep the coffin away from her, I feel like there's something being implied there. Is she afraid of it? Also, interesting that Elias is like "all seeing, all knowing" yet Nikola can hide Jon from him. So Elias does have weaknesses.
I actually looked up the transcript for this one out of curiosity, just seeing if Jon was actually saying anything during this first bit. Honestly though, the transcript describing it as "muffled feelings" and "possibly muffled swearing" makes it a lot funnier. Still pretty sure he said "Fuck you" when Nikola asked how he was feeling, and it was made funnier when I found out Jon was shoving his fist into his mouth for this bit. The mental image of that makes me snicker.
Then there's the second part with Michael. Jon's annoyed groan when Michael said he was going to kill him is still funny. He's still scared of course, but there are so many people out to get him that he's also so done with the death threats at this point.
Michael, baby, baby boy, Michael, god, it's just so sad. He was so scared, he couldn't comprehend what he was seeing, but he went along with everything Gertrude said anyway, because he trusted her. And she saw him as disposable, someone who was gullible and easy to trick so she could accomplish what she wanted. It was to stop the Spiral, but it was still cruel. It reminds me of Leitner commenting on how many assistants he went through during his career and I feel like there's something to be said about how he and Gertrude see their assistants as disposable when Jon is the exact opposite and tries so hard to keep his safe. And the Distortion may say he doesn't want to be Michael, but I think Michael's anger and betrayal after what Gertrude did to him lingered, even after the Distortion took him. He sounds angry, he says so many times about how Michael trusted Gertrude, like emphasizing how much she betrayed him.
On a different note, slammed my fucking fist into my desk at hearing Peter Lukas's name. Every time I hear him, I think of the statements that involved him or just the Lukas name in general and my blood boils
Jon's defeated "Okay" just killed me. Like, the man was fully ready to open that door and accept his death, and it was only because Michael killing him sounded a little less painful than what Nikola was planning. I did laugh for a second at the door being locked before Michael's scream blasted my eardrums. Can't believe the freaky little guy is gone. RIP Michael, you were a good one, your laugh will forever give me the creeps (side note: I found out that that's just the voice actor's natural laugh? WTF man?)
Also, quick shoutout to ThirdChildFilm's short based off of this episode that got me into this series in the first place:

Date Night 🦇🦇🦇
Tumblr media
Summary: You take Spencer on a date to a haunted corn maze. Warning: Some fluff.
A/N: Sooo...I know I haven't update for like a week. I do have that stereotypical fanfic excuse I was at the hospital for a sleep study Friday & Saturday but that isn't the only reason. I've been a little burn out writing one-shots so I needed a break. Lastly, this is a submission for @masterwords Halloween party!
Word Count: 1.1k
Song Suggestions: Can't Help Falling In Love - Elvis Presley
"I cannot believe you dragged me here." Spencer grumbled, holding on to your hand tightly. He was obviously scared. "Why do we have to do this?"
"It's October, and It's Friday the 13th. That means we have to do this." You smiled and looked up, reading the sign 'HAUNTED CORN MAZE'. A moment of hesitation flashed over his face before pushing the gate open and muttering under his breath. "Are you scared?"
"What? Me? No." He laughed anxiously and squeezed your hand. You nodded and stayed quiet looking around, the maze looked just normal at the entrance, with the exception of the spider web decorations.
"Our job literally figuring out who's lying and that's the best you could do?" Letting your laugh die out, the two of you got to a turn in the maze. He went ahead slightly and as you went around the corner a scare actor in a pretty realistic zombie costume jumped out at you. You jumped then laughed whereas Spencer yelped and grabbed your arm for a second before laughing nervously.
"Hah! Yeah, didn't scare me that bad." He exclaimed, almost yelling at the poor actor who had started to retreat back to their hiding spot.
Spencer wasn't good at being calm but he was good at the maze, you had hit five checkpoints already. "Have you relaxed now? The scares are predictable."
"We deal with real monsters every day. This is what you wanted to do on your day off?" Since that first scare he had held on to your hand, swearing it had been to protect you. Not himself. "You should have brought Emily with you, she'd have liked it because you're both weird."
"You say that as if you aren't weird yourself." Scoffing, you two continued down the maze. The sky was pitch-black now and luckily you two were already three-fourths done. "And to answer your first question, maybe I just wanted to have normal people fun. You should try it sometime." Poking his side and laughing a little.
"You know that most corn mazes generally follow the same pattern? Once you do a few you can navigate them pretty well," Changing the subject, he continued to explain corn mazes. "and at the end most exits at a right turn-" Another scare popped out of a large area of corn. Scaring both of you this time.
"Oh my God, so how close is the end now?" You said, breathing a little fast moving past the jump scare. Spencer laughed then continued rambling about corn mazes while you walked through a calmer section. Slipping your hand into his again while listening to him you looked around, the sky was oddly clear and you could see dozens of stars. The decorations out here were less detailed, must've run out near the end of the maze. It was quiet out here and even though it was supposed to be scary you were finding it kind of…romantic?
"The last checkmark!" You exclaimed, pointing at a large empty area. In the middle was a fountain, water dyed red. "That means we're almost done." Smiling, you looked around to see and listen to the quietness, Spencer doing the same.
"It's nice here," He smiled, looking over at you. Around the fountain was the cheesy spider web decor that's been throughout the whole place. Other than that there were a few haystacks stacked with pumpkins and seasonal flowers placed on top. Just off to the side a scarecrow dressed to look like a witch. "Well, it's scary but nice. And quiet."
"Yeah it is." Beaming, looking around and squeezing his hand and turning in front of him. "You know…" Letting the words drag on while you walked your fingers up his arm. "We don't have to leave just yet."
"What do you mean?" He chuckled nervously then looked around to see if any people were around. Only to get the response of crickets hiding in the corn.
"Well you know, it's been a busy couple of weeks at work, we haven't had time to ourselves." Smiling, you hoped he had caught on. After a couple seconds he finally got it and leaned down, grabbing your face and planting a short, sweet kiss on your lips. Not even a second later he kissed again, longer and more passionate. Your hands wrapped around his neck, making you stand up on your tiptoes.
"You look gorgeous today," He spoke in between a kiss, rapidly and breathless. "I've been trying to say that all day." His one hand moving away from your face and then to your waist. Grabbing it and moving you closer.
"You normally don't like PDA." You said, moving away to catch your breath. As you leaned in to kiss again quiet footsteps came from the corn and you peaked over his shoulder. Seeing the silhouette of a person. Stepping back in fear of getting caught the person finally jumped out to scare the both of you, looking disappointed when you barely flinched.
"We should probably go now…" Grabbing his arm you laughed out of the embarrassment from the actor seeing you. "What way do we go?"
"Two lefts and then a right. Most likely." He pointed and shook his head, clearly just as embarrassed. You moved your hand down to his again. Putting it in his. "That was close."
"Oh really? I didn't know." You rolled your eyes and pushed his side while laughing. You made the first turn and saw what seemed to be lights as well as the same playlist from the start of the maze. Almost at the end.
The last turn, you could see the archway that led out of the field and back to the rest of the farm the maze was placed on. With only a few more seconds still in the maze the last actor popped up and screamed. Making you scream and dig your nails into Spencer's hand. Which then made *him* scream.
"Congratulations! You two made it out!" The actor yelled, holding out some coupons if you were to come back. "I hope I didn't scare you too badly."
"Oh yeah, not at all." You scoffed and brushed off the comment. Spencer laughed then reached for your hand again, starting to walk back to the car.
"I love you, you know that?" He looked at you, smiling and you blushed. A little surprised by how upfront he was tonight.
"Yeah. I love you too." You kissed his cheek then pulled the car keys from your pocket. Still grinning to yourself and thinking how damn lucky you were.
Even though your Friday the 13th wasn't that scary in the end.

Misconceptions of Sherlock and Co
Here I am going to list some misconceptions that I saw before getting into Sherlock and Co that I felt need to be corrected for any new people trying to listen. The things listed might be dubbed critiques. If you are someone who does not like criticism on your favorite pieces of media, please show yourself out now.
Johnlock is endgame
I beg every Sherlock lover who love the stories in every variation and specifically Johnlock, please stop setting yourselves up for disappointment. Unless it is explicitly said, don't believe it's canon. The reason why I say this is when this podcast first started to come out, everyone said johnlock was going to happen. Those are some of the most popular tiktoks about Sherlock and Co. And I won't lie, it was the push that made me listen to the podcast. I can't find where I saw it please if you can find it, send it to me. They said, the creators, that wasn't within their plans. John and Mariana though? I don't know if it'll actually happen, but it just feels like that's what they're pushing towards. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but the name Mariana is a lot like Mary. Speaking of Mariana--
It's just John and Sherlock
It may appear like that for a couple of episodes, but Mariana becomes an essential part of the team and she is here to stay. If you were one of the people who just wanted the boys, you're probably going to be disappointed because that is not the case here. Mrs. Hudson whose real name is Mariana also helps in solving crimes. Usually I would say if you didn't like Molly appearing in episodes, you also might not like this. But Mariana actually has some type of depth. So maybe you'll actually enjoy her appearances in episodes.
These Are New Interpretations of Sherlock and John
Yes and no. This might be controversial, but it didn't feel new. And it didn't feel like ACD's characterization. John and Sherlock's characterizations seems like they took a lot of inspiration from bbc Sherlock even down to some of the mannerisms especially the way they speak. It feels almost like fanfiction where they took the bbc Sherlock character interpretations of John and Sherlock and put them in an alternate universe. Over time though, they seem to be straying and they're now becoming their own characters. But if you told me at the beginning, "oh this is a new podcast based on bbc Sherlock fanfiction" I would've believed it.
POC Friendly
LOOK LISTEN, I'm not saying they're spouting out slurs. But someone, a white person, posted this is a poc friendly podcast. When I heard that, I assumed certain things. I assumed they had POC cast and crew, they had sensitivity writers, cultural consulting, etc. The cast and crew, respectfully, are majority if not completely white. I remember looking up Sherlock's voice actor after seeing all the fanart and I was so confused seeing a white man. Now this doesn't mean that POC should run away from it, but this does mean that when they say/do certain stuff there's no one to tell them "hey maybe let's not do that." There are instances that felt ignorant and unnecessary. In the Blue Carbuncle, they read a letter or a transcript from someone who saw an incident in the street (avoiding spoilers). I don't know how to phrase this, but it felt very much like they were mimicking some type of POC (most likely black). And they didn't put on a blaccent or anything, but just the fact that it was a white writer writing this making fun of how they spoke rubbed me the wrong way. And it went on far too long. Then there was Sherlock bowing at an Asian restaurant and John told him it was inappropriate, but I was stuck on why was it added? It wasn't humor and didn't have to do with a case. It shows Sherlock's ignorance, sure, but it just really didn't add anything. When it comes to content made by white british people, the bar on racial awareness for me is to the ground. I don't expect them not to have ignorant moments. But stuff like that, it is something that should be accounted for when you try to say something like it's "poc friendly." So would I say POC friendly, not really. Is it welcoming of everyone no matter what race or ethnicity? Yes. There's not a sign on the podcast that says POC do not enter, but be aware what majority demographic is a part of this and that they probably are going to say stuff out of ignorance.

I've been meaning to write this post for awhile, but I haven't gotten around to it. Plus, I wanted to see if anything else changed before I made a post. I genuinely don't see this as critiques just pointing out stuff for those who might go in thinking this podcast is something it's not. But I still put the criticism warning for people who might not want to see this. I really enjoy this podcast and it inspired me to read the original stories. They put a new spin on these stories that's modern, different, and still entertaining.

onk spoilers (161)
Sorry, I really can't keep quiet about this because this series has been my brainrot for the past couple months and this is pretty..;; hehe.. depending on how it plays out, it will determine how I'll feel about this entire work completely. So bear with me for the next few weeks!
There are a few panels that really stand out in terms of expressions that really bug me, this guy could be acting. Putting the rest in the read-more, I'm vagueposting but still, I feel it's better manners to do so.. I'm sorry for being unable to keep to myself. I hope you understand though, I've been drawing something for this series almost every single day!
There are a few really genuine-looking ones and those.. could be interpreted as him being concerned over Aqua, it's not really my wishful thinking because he's actually persuading his son to think of things he must live for, regardless of what thoughts and intent he has behind it. He DOES want Aqua to live, and when Aqua says he'd give up on that, he has the exact same face he had when he fell in despair in the movie arc (when Ai said she'd leave him/when Airi gaslit him). I think that expression IS real. And he's really shocked when Aqua.. yeah, does what he does. So I don't think he likes the idea of Aqua dying.
I've been looking at this character a lot, and came to a conclusion that his smiles are masks. I've mentioned this a few times in my earlier analyses regarding him and in one post, I wrote:
That smile he floats is consistent through the entire time he's shown in the story and the only times it breaks is when it has to do with Ai and when she sees him through. And it starts to break the moment he sees her talking about him. Every expression he makes when he sees Ai in the video are his true feelings. His smiles, on the other hand, are his coping mechanism and are all masks.
so I actually feel this is the case this time too, the author wouldn't have made this guy a genius actor who's TAUGHT Ai to act for nothing... The whole chapter starts out with his expression being expressionless, then forming a smile, just before he starts saying everything onwards. And by doing this, he IS actually talking to his son to forget about killing him and go on living his own life while sounding pretty evil...
but that means we can't believe the god or whatever she says either, so that's why I don't know. She was wrong about Ryosuke and "a middle school boy" having gone to the hospital once if Kamiki never went and it was really Nino, but would she be TOTALLY off in this case? I have no idea. That's what makes it confusing for me and have a lot less hope on how things will unveil, but the expression cues do say something... if it weren't for her, I'd say he's acting.. but the things she mentions about him are just too...that of a third-rate villain and it's so nonredeemable. If that is right, the whole idea of Ai having wanted to help him is sort of thrown out the window. They DIDN'T need to make her say that... it was so WISE of her to leave a guy like him, and all her visions of him were wrong, you know?
So I'm just.. wondering how much we need to trust the crow.
I thought I could trust her, but how much does she actually know?;
Or maybe it IS true that Kamiki's done some hideous things the way she's depicted it, and yet he doesn't want his SON to be the same way.
If there's one thing I can pick up from this chapter that's going to be released... it'd be that Kamiki doesn't want Aqua to die. He thinks there's many reasons for Aqua to go on living. If you pay careful attention to his speech, that's what he's actually talking about... he actually looked a little relieved when Aqua agrees he has a lot to live for and that breaks when Aqua still refuses.
Yeah.. I think.. I'll stick around a bit more actually. The part that REALLY bothers me is what Tsukuyomi says, if that's really true.. ehh.....it's a huge let-down for me I don't like that. It's not a very good way to use this character. It's really dumb and I don't think it works but if the author says so; okay?? but I won't feel the need to collect the physical volumes any further if that's true. That's just me though.

Hi jsyk Taylor was offered the opportunity to buy her masters and she said no. She was then offered the opportunity to trade for them. For every new album she made with the company she'd keep that masters and get 1 old albums masters. She/her dad/team refused both but accepted the $15 mil when the company changed hands. It's pretty common for nobody to own their masters but Taylor's contracts protected her and her music significantly more than any other artist. From what it looks like, she didn't want to make an actual money/business deal with a business, got mad they wouldn't bend over and take it, so they made ~a business deal~. Also, I don't know much about scooter but I do know he's Jewish and Taylor likes to drop dogwhistles when she talks about him. And the fans went after his kids?? Fuck this lady fr.
That's what I assumed.
I never bought the idea that it was all sold out from under her without her foreknowledge. After her decades of work in the business, and the fact that her father owed part of the company, I just absolutely never believed it when everyone lost their minds saying Swift got her music stolen.
It's not stolen- first of all, because she never owned the masters in the first place. People can't steal things from you that aren't yours to begin with. Besides that- it's literally just how the music industry works.
All these artists want high quality production and marketing- well they get that high quality production and marketing through contractual obligations wherein the master copies of the work belong to the production company- that way everyone who worked on the production gets their fair share of profit from the music.
It's not "stealing;" it is literally just contractual obligations so that the sound crew- the marketing team- the mixing artists- and the overseeing production company all get paid too. These people also work on the music- so why should only Swift get paid for the music??
It's like saying the camera crew of the movie production team shouldn't get paid because they are not the "real" talent as the actors.
What?
Swift just felt entitled to being the only person to make money off her catalogue- even though she's not the only person to put work into creating it- and that's why she's really mad.
PS- I will be looking into Swift's antisemitism. Frankly, this is the first I've heard of it.
But this is part of what I mean when I say her "feminism" is always predicated on capitalism rather than any real pro-women activism.

More Jealous gavi please
Theater
In this story, Rebecca is your best friend and Pedri's gf!
Tumblr media
You were helping Pablo put on his tie since you agreed to go to the theater together to watch Hamlet together for your date night. Pedri and Rebecca came over to look after your kitten while you were gone since Aurora wasn't in town to take her.
On the TV was a very big game Real Madrid vs Man United and both Pablo and Pedri had their eyes glued on the screen trying to see every detail. It was a big deal for them and they wanted Madrid to loose after the bad Classico they had at Camp Nou.
"I can't believe you're going to the premier of Hamlet!! I'm so jealous! Doesn't Luca act the main role? Girl, he is so freaking hot!!" Rebecca whined that she couldn't go since it was true the main actor was quite an attraction for every girl in Spain.
"I can't believe you're gonna miss this hermano! It will be one hell of a game!" Pedri said and Pablo rolled his eyes at him telling him shut up and not make it worse.
He loved hate nights with you and was happy to bring you to the theater if that will make you happy but for him it wasn't really something he liked or understood at all.
"Um..amor you sure you want to go with me tonight? I mean if you really wanna watch the game instead.." you started but he quickly kissed you reassuring you that he wants to take you to the theater if you love it that much.
"Dios!" Pedri interrupted and both of the watched until screaming "GOALLLL!!" on top of their lungs when Man United scored while you girls shook your heads chuckling at their passionate reaction.
"Oh come on girl! He doesn't even want to go!! Just take me! Please! Please! Please!" Rebecca begged you and you sighed walking up to Pablo who was still focused on the screen until you touched his arm.
"In case you really wanna watch this game..I could go with Rebecca instead? I wouldn't mind cariño" you said and he asked if you promise and when you nodded he kissed you happily sitting besides Pedri while Rebecca cheered fixing her lipstick.
If only Pablo knew the trouble this would cause, he would have never agreed to stay behind and let you leave on your own..
The next morning
You came in late having met the main actor after the premier which made Becca go absolutely crazy. Apparently actor was a big football fan and asked you both to go backstage to meet them in person. How crazy!
He was certainly flirtatious with your but you never though much on it since he knew you were Pablo's girlfriend and it was probably the last time you will ever talk to him.
"Mmm buenos dias.." you woke up moving your messy hair form your face looking at Pablo who was already wide awake coming back from his morning training and bringing you a cup of coffee to bed.
"Buenos dias mi amor..you really came late last night?" he said giving you the cup and you nodded telling him all about meeting the actor and spending some time backstage with Becca.
"He gave us four tickets for the premier of his next piece this weekend if you wanna go?" you said although pablo was not really in a good mood after hearing about night backstage time you had with the supposed actor. Even though you weren't alone and Becca was there, he still disliked that he wasn't by your side.
"He gave you the tickets?" Pablo said suspiciously wondering why would he want to do such a thing if he knew she was already taken?
"Yeah, and said that he was a big football fan too. So the four of us can go all together?" you said and Pablo nodded his head pretending to be happy about it when deep down he wanted to punch that stupid guys face. Pablo knew he had something up his sleeve!
During the training
"Hermano I hate theater! Joder! You have to be quiet for hours and can't even move if you need to go pee! I'm not going!" Pablo said to Pedri while they were doing push ups on the pitch in order to warm up.
"You have to go! Have you heard he gave your girl his phone number?" Pedri said and Pablo's mouth went dry..he didn't know that..why wouldn't you tell him that this morning?
"So what? Maybe he is just being nice or whatever" Pablo clearly lied because he was just as worried as Pedri about this whole thing.
"I heard he already broke off five different relationships! All the girls are crazy about him and you think he's just being friendly!? Don't be stupid Pablo! We are going! Claiming what's ours!" Pedri said and Pablo nodded knowing that he will not just let you go without a fight!
At the night of the premier
After watching the show for three hours, Luca and his friend invited the four of you for a drink at the bar. You two girls gladly agreed and the boys didn't have much of a choice than t go along with it.
"Are you sure you've never acted on any TV show before?? I definitely seen your face somewhere??" Luca said to you with those dreamy eyes and you blushed at the sudden attention from everyone on the table while shaking your head no. You were a very shy girl and any attention made you embarrassed.
"Classic pick up line.." Pedri whispered to Pablo meanwhile whole hold on my thigh tightened and I looked at him with raised eyebrows as he relaxed.
"That's a shame..your face belongs on big screens" Luca said finishing his whiskey and ordering another one. You smiled but were still a bit uncomfortable that he felt free to speak to you in such a way with your boyfriend right besides you.
"There is a small role we are casting if you are interested?" Luca's friend said and your eyes sparkled being an actress always being your secret dream but due to your shyness you never gave it a try. Pablo was giving them a death glare seeing right through their act but didn't have the heart to ruin your happiness at this moment.
"R..really??" you said and Luca nodded saying it was made for you. You looked towards Pablo with big puppy dog eyes really wanting to try this and hoping he would be alright with it.
"Could I try out cariño???" you said and Pablo wanted to scream 'hell no!" while grabbing your hand and bringing you home immediately but seeing your adorable pout all he could do was nod.
"Yay!!!" you cheered kissing Pablo's lips before talking about details of the audition while he looked at Pedri's disapproving face.
To Pablo and Pedri
"Are you insane!? You are going to let her go to that audition all alone after the way that actor flirted with her in front of your eyes!? Estas loco!?" Pedri said to Pablo everything he already knew.
"She was excited about it! I couldn't say no when she looked at me like that hermano...joder!" Pablo said feeling frustrated with the whole situation!
"Don't you know what goes on during those auditions??" Pedri said and Pablo shook his head starting to be fearful of the answer.
"Those actors promise girls to make their dreams come true..only if they first give them something in return..don't be so naive!" Pedri's words were making blood in Pablo's veins pulsate as his face got red in anger.
"Alright, chicos ready for the training?" Xavi interrupted the conversation suddenly but Pablo had no interest on pushing these thoughts away.
"I gotta go!" he just grabbed his bag and left without a word knowing he would get in trouble alter but he just had to see you and talk about this!
At home
"Amor!! You home!" Pablo rushed into your shared bedroom seeing that you were doing your makeup wearing one of his favorite red dresses.
"I'm getting ready for my audition" you answer turning around and asking him how you look to which he was unusually quiet about.
"Why does it matter how you look!? Are you going there for him to look at you or to act??" Pablo was clearly agitated Pedri's words echoing in his ears about you 'giving something' to that actor in exchange for the role you so desperately want.
"Why are you yelling Pablo?? What got you so angry amor? Tell me.." your voice was soft as you walked up to him and placed your hands on his face gently and he relaxed leaning into your touch.
"I know what happens during those auditions.." he said and you were even more confused now. What the hell was he talking about!?
"Pablo, what's going on with you?? You've been strange since the premiere" you said and he looked away from your eyes clenching his jaw.
"He is going to fuck you for that role!" Pablo's words left his mouth before he could stop them regretting them the moment he looked at your shocked face. What the hell did he just say!?
"Excuse me!? Is that what you really think about me Pablo Gavira!? I can't..believe..I gotta go!" you pushed past him and he tried grabbing your wrist but you pulled away.
"Amor, please don't go! I didn't mean it like that..I know you would never do that..but he.." Pablo spoke but you were so angry that none of his words meant anything in that moment.
"He is my friend and that's all..and you are a controlling..asshole!" you spat walking out and leaving him there on the bed frustrated and worried out of his mind.
You didn't reply to any of his messages for hours and Pablo was really starting to go crazy doing the only thing he could think of which was to call Pedri.
"Has Becca seen her at all today??" Pablo asked his friend
"Yeah, and now not only are you in trouble for what you said but I am as well for thinking you were right to be mad..I am sleeping on the couch because of you cabrón!" Pedri replied and Pablo rolled his eyes thinking he kind of deserve it for making him go crazy with his stupid talks.
During the audition
You went to the audition disregarding Pablo's protests especially after him acting like a jealous asshole earlier. You talked to Becca about it ready to give up on this whole thing but she reminded you that it was your dream and that Pablo had no right to say what he did.
"What can I do for you, my kind sir?" you said feeling uptight on that stage and having to speak in such a way to anybody who was not Pablo.
"It needs to be sexier..like you're trying to seduce him but still keep the shyness" one of the camera guys said and I felt my cheeks blush feeling very uncomfortable with the whole thing. What if Pablo was right?? What if Luca was really going to try something??
"Um..I don't know if.." you said but Luca walked up to you raising up your chin while smiling with charm but you pulled back telling him you weren't comfortable with him touching you.
"You might have to get comfortable with me touching you soon..if you want the role preciosa" he smirked and you felt your stomach flip in disgust..what did he just say?? why would he have to touch you at all??
"What do you mean?" you said not wanting to jump to any conclusions.
"For the sex scene?" camera guy said and you immediately walked off the stage grabbing your bag absolutely done with this whole thing.
"You didn't mention anything like that when we talked! I have a boyfriend I love very much and I have to decline this offer" you said and suddenly Luca's usually calm nature turned into angry one.
"You are a stupid little fangirl who knew exactly what she was getting herself into when she agreed on this right in front of the boyfriend..I bet you guys have an open relationship if he let you come here tonight" he tried coming closer but I pushed him back.
"You are disgusting! I argued with my own boyfriend because I thought he was just a jealous asshole but now I see he was right about you all along!" you spat before walking out and calling Becca to pick you up.
At Pedri's house
"Are you sure Pablo isn't here?" you said when she opened the door to you saying he went to be with Pablo a few hours ago since he was going crazy where you were at.
"He was right Becca..that disgusting asshole wanted to sleep with me for a role and I was so naive and stupid..I should have listened to Pablo" you were crying while she brought you a glass of water.
"He might have been right about Luca but he has no right to control who you can talk to like that..especially when girls drool all over them and we still menage to trust them!" Becca said and I knew she was right but all I wanted was to be in Pablo's arms right now.
"I just want him..and I am so worried how he feels right now.." you cried and she held you in her arms.
"And you think he worries how you feel? I told Pedri he is sleeping on the couch for agreeing with him! They are surely watching a game and drinking beer while we feel horrible and cry over here!" Becca said while you were still thinking about Pablo.
At Pablo's house
"She's surely fine hermano..maybe we jumped to conclusions" Pedri tried to reassure Pablo who felt awful about what he said to you never meaning to making you think he sees you in such a way.
"I am an idiot! A jealous idiot and she has every right to leave my pathetic ass!" Pablo said just as the door rang and they went to open it together wondering who it was.
“Amor??” Pablo said shocked to see you standing there with tearful eyes playing with edge of your dress. Were you crying!??
"Lo siento muchísimo Pablo!" you were definitely crying while hugging him tightly and he held you agains this chest kissing the top of your head lovingly glad that you were finally back in his arms.
"Que pasaba? Did someone hurt you preciosa??" Pablo was really freaking out that you were crying and apologizing terrified that something bad happened.
" Are we kicking someone's ass tonight!?" Pedri looked at Becca who was looking at the two of you hugging with a smile on her face. She was glad that no matter what you tow always found your way back to one another.
"No! Por favor don't Pablo.." you said fearfully when Pedri said that knowing that Pablo has a short fuse and last thing he needed right now was a scandal.
"Did that hijo de puta do something to you princesa??" Pablo repeated his question really tensing up while holding you.
"No..he tried but I left..I promise" you said but all Pablo saw was red when he heard that he 'tried' to do something. He was about to walk out and drive to his house and show him who is the only man allowed to touch what's his but you held him tightly begging him not to do anything.
"He's not worth it..please think about your career Pablo" you said but he didn't calm down at all wanting so badly to kick his ass.
"She's right hermano. We don't need a scandal" Pedri said knowing that his friend was nowhere near convinced.
"I don't fucking care! She is my girl and I can't let him get away with this!" Pablo was getting angrier but when you grabbed his bicep and stood in front of the door he finally stopped to look down at you.
"Please don't..for me" you whispered the last part and he used last bits of his strength to catch his breath and nod his head.
"We're heading home..sorry if what I said caused trouble but I only care about you amiga" Pedri said holding Becca's hand and you smiled kissing his cheek before hugging your best friend.
"I know Pedri, don't worry about it..and I talked to her to let you back in bed" you smiled at Becca who rolled her eyes and nodded her making Pedri very happy as they left you and Pablo finally alone.
Before bed
You were taking off your makeup when Pablo walked into the bedroom freshly out of shower looking towards you. It was his turn to apologize now..
"I might have been right about him..but preciosa..what I said was not right..I trust you and I don't think you would ever do something like that..because you're mi anjo precioso..and te amo muchisimo!" Pablo spoke looking down and you smiled getting up from the chair and walking to him. You held his face and kissed his lips lovingly.
"I love you too..so much..only you.." you said and he kissed you again pulling you into bed where you cuddled up together forgetting this whole situation all together now that you were back in each other's arms. <33

The complaining about interviews came off as people who still do not wake up from the fact that no, this ship was never meant to be the Main (Amazing) Ship. It is as usual all about expectation. I am not even that much of a Loustat shipper because they are just not my fav but I certainly went into the show knowing they would be the main characters and relationship. You just have to accept that the story does not align entirely with your tastes and was certainly not made especially and personaly for you. But some parts of the fandom have difficulties with that.
It's absolutely okay to not be Loustat shippers I understand why some people can't like that 👌🏻. But what's clear is that this is how the writers chose for the show version . That loustat is at the core of S1 and S2 . And hopefully every season they're gonna make . And it's so clear how important Daniel's role is also going to be in Armand's life because he's gonna be his lover who healed his broken heart when NO ONE , EVEN LOUIS COULD DO IT 😭 . No one was mentioned like that for Armand's character in the books . Only Daniel did that even though they broke up but Armand in TVA still believes Daniel healed his heart . Daniel's turning is a pivot and important part of Armand's life and characteristics because he hates making another vampire , ESPECIALLY IF HE LOVES THAT PERSON . and it was already hinted in 2x6 that the idea repulses Armand . And that HE NEVER MADE A VAMPIRE . so basically they're going somewhere with this in future . 🤩
Not to mention Armand and Daniel do kind of end up together again in prince Lestat so they're kinda each other's endgame like loustat . BECAUSE THEY ACCEPT EACH OTHER AND THAT SEEMED TO BE WHAT MATTERED FOR THEM ALL ALONG . The idea of these four dynamics in the books is so similar . Louis only goes back to be fully devoted and in love with Lestat when he accepted his nature finally and made peace with himself. And that's the exact same thing for Daniel's character . He only went back to Armand when he was finally in peace . 😭
And that's why they give us Luke / Eric / Assad interviews too . I have absolutely no complaints about seeing the main couples of TVC doing this stuff together. And believe me I don't even expect them to . But if that's how they decided to do it I don't have any problems with it because :
1. I know certain people just vibe with each other and certain people don't . 2. This starts to seem that loumand fans are pushing for real life chemistry and real life bond , they're forcing it on the actors now . Which isn't professional. And they seem like they don't like how Louis and Armand's story is going so they want it from Assad and Jacob . Not the characters . Because if they only cared about the characters there are a lot of written interviews about Louis and Armand's relationship in S2 . They can read those . 3. And you know what? Maybe Armand and Louis weren't supposed to be that pivot of a relationship & maybe they're not as major as other relationships and maybe you should just accept that instead of making heating comments on the cast and their bond and off camera chemistry . 🤷🏻‍♀️
What's interesting for me is that I've seen a few of those fans want Sam and Assad's interview . Because they had such amazing on screen chemistry too . They fit soooo well in 2x3 . But I've seen very few people want their interview too . 🙂
