hi, genuinely curious, why do you think you know so much about bts’s personal lives? like just shipping real people in general that you don’t now personally, bc i saw some of ur posts(not just u, a LOT of others seem to think the same) and i’m confused like how do you know all that from a video/photo?

Ask 2: hi i think i might have sounded rude in my last anon and im so so sorry if i did, i don’t mean to sound mean but english isn’t my first language and i don’t now how else to write it.

What i mean is i just can’t see it, but so many ppl including you seem convinced jimin and jungkook are a couple? i now there’s probably something i’m missing that’s obvious to everyone else bc to me they just seem like really good and close friends, so like what is it that you think makes it obvious?? (again i’m just genuinely curious abt this pls don’t take it the wrong way 💜)

I’m not clairvoyant and don’t claim to know what goes on behind closed doors. I have said time and time again that we have no way of knowing what goes on when the cameras are off or when they are in private, unless they tell us.

I do speculate sometimes and make assumptions based on the content I’ve seen, but always original content, and not edited clips.

I have also made it clear every single time that these are my opinions and conclusions, take them or leave them.

There is a ton of BTS content out there to go through, which includes, just as an example (because there is so much more): Run BTS episodes, interviews (video, written and radio), member Tweets, memories, Bon Voyage, packages (summer, winter), Bangtan bombs, fan meets, Musters, concerts etc.

You need to watch original content, because, and it saddens me to say this, there is some Jikook YT content that is distorted, edited, slow motioned to fit the story, and not all of it is ‘real’ in the sense, that if you see the original content, see the true moment within it’s context and in real speed, well, it isn’t a ‘real’ moment. I have called out some of those moments in the past.

But there are things you can’t fake.

There a several moments that solidified for me the special connection between JK & JM.

Watch original content over the years and you will see there is something special between those two, a special and strong connection. JK clearly finds JM as someone he can confide in and someone that can calm him or console him in times of need. He has said it in interviews and we have seen him do so in the content out there.

JM is JK’s anchor. His safe place.

JK is JM’s happy place. When JM is down JK is the one who knows how to cheer him up. Even Jin had mentioned it once in an interview.

JK is JM’s protector in sorts. We’ve seen them at the airports, we’ve seen him carry JM after concerts.

They are super close. We know they constantly choose to travel together in the same car (when every member has their own car and they are the only ones together)... They choose spend ‘off time’ together - bowling, going to watch a movie, ice skating with each other. JK himself told us in BV4 that the only members he sae during their time off were JM & Hobi. They are just super close.

So what made me make the one step further and conclude they are romantically involved?

There are several things that pushed me over the edge. Some of them are:

First, the content, again. There is content out there that is way beyond “we are very close platonic friends”. Things they say or do in front of the camera that give you so much “we are a couple” vibe.

There is content that makes you feel like you are intruding on a very intimate private moment:

MAMA 2018 is one of them. I can’t say one, because there are so many moments there that are “WOW, what’s going on here?”

Rose Bowl is also such a moment that is as clear as day, with no acceptable logical explanation other than: “there is something more between those two”.

Those are only 2 examples, but there are many more such moments, where the intimacy level is way more than even the best platonic friendship out there.

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to put 1 & 1 together here. These moments are loud and clear.

There are the more subtle moments too, those that add up on you, those that if you will look at each of them by themselves you would say: “yeah, nothing here”, but when you put them together, another one and another one and another one, well the conclusion is pretty much clear.

It’s JM’s Tweets, their matching clothing over the years, their choice to spend time together, their private trip, GCFT, JK’s choice to put JM front and center in all his other GCF’s, the way they look at each other, the way they talk about each other, the two very famous lives from 2016 (Tae’s & Hobi’s), their own lives (OMG), things JM tells us (like waking up and seeing JK is what makes him happy these days), “you are me I am you”, the way they touch, especially during the first few years (2016-2018), those hesitant light touches & brushes (if skinship is not an issue here, why do they hesitate so much to touch each other??? when they have no problem doing so with the others, all when we do know just how close they are), the way they talk to each other, they way JK lets JM get away with shit, while he doesn’t the other members, the way JK drops honorifics with JM +++++ so much more.

There another couple of independent points that helped to push me over the edge too.

The first is the other members reactions when JK & JM go on with their shenanigans. RM, Hobi, Jin, Suga & Tae all react differently, each and every one of them has a tell. Suga and Tae go blank many times. Jin lowers his head. Hobi either had a worried look on his face or a big fat smile, and RM, well he’s the most obvious out of the lot. It’s facial expressions, uneasy movement, fisting his thighs, looking to Hobi or Suga with pleading eyes, running to the two thinking he might have to defuse a moment, separating the two when he feels it’s needed. It’s all that and then some. Now if there is nothing ‘more’ going on between those two, why is all of that even necessary??? Those two’s interactions on camera just make the rest of the group nervous, especially RM. Ask yourself the question: why??

Another thing I keep asking myself is, if these two are clearly super close, why is there a constant need to downplay their closeness? This is something that is done by BTS and BH as well as the fandom. And I find it hard to understand, again, if there is nothing extra going on between them, why downplay them. You may disagree with me on this, but to me it seems they are way closer than JM & Tae, but they are called ‘soulmates’ while JK & JM are ‘nothing’? It’s like they are there, and it’s clear as day just how close they are, but it’s not a subject they are allowed to talk about. And the way the fandom is as much as ignoring it also raises so many questions for me. If this is an innocent platonic close friendship, why ignore it? How come the fandom isn’t celebrating it?

Thing is, that not only does the fandom ignore their connection, they are being hated for it. The level of anti and hatred out there towards them is unbelievable. And yet again, that raises the question of why? If nothing is going on there why such anti towards those two, together, in particular?

At the end of the day, I guess life experience is probably what helps me out here. I have been around for a while, experienced love and heartbreak, and also a long term relationship. I know the signs, you could say. It helps being able to assess a situation and read into it.

It’s ok to question yourself. I do so constantly. I watch and re-watch content. I read interviews, I question my logic, my conclusions. I, just like any normal person, do have self doubt at times. Believe me, I would not have written what I have before checking and re-checking myself. And still, these are my conclusions. I believe that JK & JM are not only super close, but also romantically involved. There you have it.

I think Jikook acts different on cameras yess they flirt a lot but they don’t show us everything of course, Jikook has changed a lot from 2015-2020 It’s like they used to do a lot of things but back then they were very sneaky when they used to do things like when Jimin was playing footsies under the table in Hawaii , him being jungkooks room in the morning while he was taking a shower , them holding hands while suga body was hiding it , do you think they act different on camera now From before

I've heard this a lot in my Jikook lifetime and after Taekook's conversation in the Soop that narrative shot back to prominence. The behind the scenes of them at the photoshoot certainly hasn't helped things. Lol

Lord knows it created a schism between Jikookers as to what that moment was and what it meant in the grand scheme of things.

I know Jikook have personas, I've been saying this from the onset of my blog. I know Jikook are human, I've been preaching this from go. I know they have different personalities, hell my whole schtick about their love language has been around their personalities.

We don't know much about who they are behind the cameras but I'm glad at least people are probing into that and not taking Jikook at face value- that's what alternative shipping is. Reconstructing their 'real life' behind the scenes interactions based on their online interactions and the little clues they leave behind through their digital print- very heavy detective work lol and I'm all about that life.

I don't know them personally but if I were to reconstruct all of their interactions to guess at what goes on behind the scenes, I can tell you as a fact that Tae and JK are the least members who spend time together off cameras. I can tell you that much.

They will be followed closely behind by Tae and Jin, Suga etc. In my opinion. If there are any pairs that spend a lot of time together off cameras, to me, it would be Jimin and JK, followed by Jimin and Suga, Jimin and RM and of course VMin. You just have to pay attention to the things they do and say about eachother.

You only have to take one look at Jikook dancing in sync to the very tip of their hairs to know those two spend a lot of time practicing together off cameras. And when you hear them harmonizing- damn, you just know.

The members have pointed out Jikook's unique way of dancing planned and choreographed dance moves on stage and the look on Hobi's face in that reaction video says he was equally taken aback.

Jikook, out of all the members, have the most chemistry online in their interactions and a certain high levels of intimacy that to me the only way I can make sense of it is If they have carnal knowledge of eachother or have at least encroached on eachother's emotional and personal space in such a way that it blurs the lines of friendship a little bit resulting in synergies between them that is out of this world or both.

Because let's face it, neither of Jikook is peacefully mounting their respective partners without addressing the elephant in the room which is eachother staring at them go at it from the couch.

I have seen Jimin with his friends within and outside BTS to know he acts the same- THE SAME, with everybody skinship wise on and off camera and yet his intimacy with JK stands out the most- I wonder why. Smirk.

We've seen him drop softly into Sungwoo's laps at an award. We all saw it. And that was not 'on camera' and so we can't say he acts differently with JK off camera at least where skinship is concerned. Know what I mean?

And just the fact their rain fight was about Jimin caring too much about JK- we can't say JM doesn't care about JK off cameras either.

When JM tried doing his flirty gat shit with Suga, Suga scolded him saying he is not JK if my memory serves me right. So clearly the gay shit he does with JK is something he does offline too.

I can't say same for JK though because JM have said JK acts different with him on camera- cold on camera but warm off camera. I've mentioned this several times now so I won't get into it.

What I'm trying to say is, Jikook don't Jikook all the time but their interactions aren't exactly off of what we see on camera. Their personalities offline may be different but that doesn't mean their interactions offline are different or wildly different. Their interactions on line aren't so far off from their off line interactions such that we can brand what they do online as fanservice. In my opinion.

And also, something about the way JK reacts when he sees Jimin all over the members tells me he is not used to seeing JM prioritise others over him or have that intimacy with the members off camera. Yes, he does skinship with them and with his friends but I feel he does it the most with JK.

I mean if memories 2019 is anything to go by. Why do I feel I have answered this ask before? Lol.

Have their interactions changed online? Well for one, they aren't horny teenage boys anymore- ok, that's lie. They still got it like it was yesterday. Lol. They've matured a lot is what I mean. They've learned a lot and their fandom has equally grown enormously since those days.

I mean, let's be real, the Jikook ship tag wasn't as hot as it is now so they could get away with a lot of things back then. Now, they are one of the biggest ships not just in BTS or S.K but in world. There isn't much they can get away with. So their bandmates, editors etc. even they themselves check their behavior on camera a lot these days- especially with the jealousy and possessiveness bit. Lol.

Jk has really been trying. Jimin too. They crack sometimes but still you can see them putting in the effort- honestly, good for them. I can't be mad at that. We love positive change.

As for the sneaky behavior...

Jk interrupting Jin's call to ask JM on a date- now that was wild. Asking JM to change his clothes and come back to the live and that little gay panic moment JM had after hearing that. Oh Jimin! Bless his heart, he's weak. Lol

The bolder one this season for me has been JK. I think you have to go back towards the end of 2019 until JM's birthday this year and reevaluate their interactions. Jk has been holding it down, piloting the Jikook ship until August this year when JM started getting loud again with his overt flirtations.

No but seriously JK, you will do all of these bold wild moves and still not take a minute or two to wish him a happy birthday on his birthday. Then when we don't ship you with Jimin too you'll stand there looking like your cat got stuck in a tree- quirky for no reason this one. Chilee.

It's not so much as that Jikook's interactions have changed for me. It's more so that there are a lot that has changed around them and in effect, is impacting their interactions on camera.

For one, as I keep pointing out, they don't have the freedom to do certain things anymore. Like, doing VLives on their own whenever they want like they used to do before. Now their vlives are heavily monitored, and the content they make on the app has been reduced to crafts and Arts- until Jimin's birthday live. You know my theory on that so...

VLive used to be one of the sources of their most authentic interactions. That and award shows, interviews and other contents BigHit has less control over. But all that have ceased due to the Corona Virus pandemic.

BTS's online presence, in the wake of the pandemic is also being heavily monetized. A simple tweet on Twitter from any of them has become very transactional- they have to be careful what they tweet because every tweet now is also a brand promotion for a phone campany.

Soop was equally that- brand promotion for Fila and all the big sponsors that sponsored that production, so bet your sweet ass they aren't going to let any 'controversial' sexual innuendo slip into that- but even that, chilee they tried. Lol. If you know, you know!

I'm waiting to see how they all interact with the VApp in the future, especially JK and Jikook.

And those moments, you pointed out are from Bon Voyage, no? I'm not gonna lie, I am wary of content that comes from BigHit editors. I think I've mentioned this a few times. They aren't stupid, they know what they are doing letting certain moments slip into screen time.

And some of the moments we think are authentic Jikook flirty interactions are just missions given them by the content developers- nobody wants Jikook to be gay more than bang PD and his shady ass editors trust me! Lmho.

Some moments too may be authentic coming from Jikook but that doesn't stop pro gay editornim from using it to his advantage. Chileee. I think I've talked about all of this?

All that being said, I think somethings will never change- like JM caring about JK or JK wanting Jimin. That is a Jikook thing. Yes, JM held JK's hand behind Suga when JK seemed- bored out of his mind. But JK rushed to console JM right after his ment in the recent Online concert. That right there was another Rosebowl moment for me and that would never change until they are no longer a couple.

That right there is also an example of the intimacy I talk so much about. It's that unconscious need to be there for eachother in a way I haven't seen anyone else in the group be that for either of them. They answer eachother's questions even if they don't ask. I don't see Tae traveling across podiums for JK or JK rushing from one end of a stage to another for anyone apart from JM. They really care about eachother and I don't think it's only on camera.

And you are right about their sneaky moments in those instances. sometimes these are moments Jikook breach the forth wall but other times too they are just balderdash. Lol

I think BigHit didn't see this pandemic coming, nobody did. Sometimes I feel they are in way over their heads with it, trying to maintain a steady stream of income inspite of it. But they are going to keep experimenting with content, experimenting with marketing strategies until they find that sweet spot.

I'd be ignorant and a hypocrite if I said all these new developments in no way impacts Jikook and their interactions. Or even their relationship. But one thing I know for sure is Jikook is not fanservice. They are not. And I don't think their affections for eachother has changed. They still got it.

I found it funny that Jin in Jimins Festa profile this yr called Tae his "Bf" and then the next word is "best friend" lol... He cld have easily just used the latter but okay. Your post reminded me of it. Also vmins own rollout thing where Tae once again calls Jm his "friend like no other" while Jimin says that Tae is his only same aged friend., which I find interesting because they do still have friends frm school don't they? Jimin was also seen hanging out with an idol of the same age last yr

Yeah I really don’t know, because Chingu is one thing, it’s confusing because it’s supposedly used as “same age friend” but we know they use it for people not the same age as well. It’s very common for hyung line to say “this friend” about one of the younger ones. Vmin really really use this word a lot. But we have also heard them use it about other people, like Tae saying he was with “Friends” during his break, or Jimin using “Chingu” several times when he spoke about the person he spent his vacation with and went to Paris with.

In the same live talking about his vacation he also used Chingu for the person he went to Russia with, aka Ong Seongwu. And as you say, Ong Seongwu who Jimin has been seen spending time with is the same age. I guess either he just isn’t close enough to count, Jimin forgot, or Seongwu isn’t just a friend… But then again, I don’t really think Chingu has to be platonic like the English word “Friend” is. Or Jimin really wants to reserve that special spot for Tae because it’s special to them, and even if they have other friends the same age (Tae does too). I really don’t get why Jimin said he doesn’t really have same age friends, it’s just a bit weird. Just in this one Vlive he says Chingu many many times about different people. I get that Tae is special for other reasons though, like being in the same group will obviously make them closer no matter what just due to the shared experiences. Either way it definitely seem like Jimin has other people he call Chingu and that he are close enough with to visit or travel with.

More recently he also said he enjoys driving with his friends. So the way people use chingu is just confusing to begin with.

But ignoring Chingu because I don’t know Korean and it could just be a language barrier thing I don’t understand, the fact that Jin used BF and best friend (literally the English “best friend” written in hangul) seems a bit like over kill… I don’t understand why they really need to hammer down this best friend thing.

Honestly I see only three reasons (in a broader sense), and that is: 1. They try to friendzone them even though they are more.

2. They really are best friends but the members constantly point it out for Vmin more often. Either because they are closer, because they have gotten that label and they simply got stuck using it a lot or frankly because Vmin hate the idea of being shipped.

3. Or they are not as close as we think and they feel like they need to reaffirm how close they are through using strong words like best friends and soulmates.

The third one is a common option for haters as we know, and also to shippers who say Vmin is just a cover for other ships. This is to me the dumbest out of these options, because as I have said many times before it means BTS lying to us directly about something they don’t really have to lie about. And why do I say they don’t have to lie about it? Because no other combo in BTS is pushed as friends this hard, and because Ji/kook have no problem doing a lot of things so if they can do it freely then why have Vmin play things up. (No matter if Ji/kook is the real one or if another ship is and Ji/kook are fine but Vmin aren’t).

The friend label is stuck to Vmin for a reason, because they use it constantly. But then the question would be why Vmin get it much more than others and that obviously where we end up speculating.

I also want to talk about the soulmate thing… Because after literally writing a song about it, why wouldn’t Vmin use that label? And even more, after Vmin and the members has actually said they are soulmates (more than once), now the other members are using it more. How Namjoon called Hobi his soulmate for example, or speaking of the Festa profiles, where Jimin said this:

So, Jimin himself used soul brother for JK, so now I guess the soul connections are just all over the place.

And while Jin used BF and best friend for Tae when writing Jimin’s, he also used “soul’s next seat” about Yoongi. Whatever that means.

Going back we also had the soulmate thing with the personality quiz that Hobi took on weverse where he got Jimin and his soulmates showed to be tae/kook. So in general there just seem to be this increase of using different soul connections, and I don’t know if it’s because Vmin made it easier and just opened up the others to use it more, or if they are doing it to make Vmin stand out less.

As usual I am just very confused, especially with how Vmin keep being labeled as best friends so much compared to other members. And how they didn’t use soulmate... I can see why antis would use this against them, how they almost seem reluctant to want to use that word, as if it’s not true but just pushed on to them. I don’t know.

They both use friend a lot, and always have. Through the years it’s been repeated over and over again. So maybe that’s why they use it so much, because it’s what they are are and always have been. The things I do find weird is how they seems to insist on being “normal friends” and at the same time “soulmates” and special. How they say the other person is the only one when that isn’t true and of course how Vmin get friendzoned by members at weird times. I don’t see any problem with them just being friends, but sometimes they talk about it in weird ways. And that could just be me projecting, but yeah… I can’t deny that Jin writing BF and best friends while other members used soul connections pretty freely feels like such a thing.

Either way, in the end all of BTS are very close and at least from Tae towards Jimin it has been consistent with how he singles out Jimin as his best friend and someone very special. If they are moooore than that is of course a different question, and of course it’s also possible they consider other people or members to be connected to them in a soulmate kind of way. All of these things still doesn’t diminish Vmin’s close bond and how special their relationship is.

Summary:

They were the top of their game, known throughout the city as the smartest and most dangerous crew to ever hit the Daegu streets. But what's going to happen when this group of young men encounter something right out of a horror film?

I remember the day he was initiated. Body bloody and bruised and beaten as Namjoon supported him through the front door of our tiny apartment,one arm slung over his shoulder and his free hand tightly gripped around the black bandanna that would quickly become his new status symbol.

I'd screamed and begged and cried as Namjoon lowered him into the ratty armchair of our meagerly furnished living room. But it fell on deaf ears.

“It's better this way.” Words murmured between bruise swollen lips.

Four words I grew to dread,even hate.

It's better this way.

He'd always say that when things got tough.

Gunshot wounds hastily sewn closed at our kitchen sink as sirens chased the ghost of his crimes through mute neighborhoods and empty streets.

He was a good kid, my childhood sweetheart and long time best friend. Though we’d gone through so much together it never ceased to amaze me just how close we were or how little there was that could tear us apart.

“Babe, did you see where Hobi hid the scales?” He rifled through the drawers of our now larger kitchen. We’d bought a house together, the money having been obtained through his hard work and determination to come out on top. Not to mention a few hundred thousand illegally gained dollars.

“Top right hand drawer by the stove. He was using it yesterday to weight out a couple sacks for Yoongi to put on the corner today.” I watched as Jungkook grunted in response, finding the scale in question and shuffling his way back to the office he’d set up to deal with sales and distribution.

I shook my head, returning my attention to the news article I’d been reading.

“Hey y/n. Find anything interesting yet?” Namjoon entered the kitchen from the living room, a ghost of a dimpled smile flashing towards me as he joined me by leaning casually against the kitchen island.

“Yeah actually…” My eyes continued to skim the article,trying to make heads or tails of the medical jargon being thrown at me. “There’s this big thing going on in some of the major cities. Something about people coming down with some kind of altered form of rabies. They say it’s spreading fast and they’re having a hard time finding a cure.”

Namjoon frowned, pulling the laptop towards himself and scanning the headlines. “Looks like it started somewhere in China or something. And it’s making people bite other people?”

I shook my head in wonder. “I swear sometimes I’m glad we live where we do.”

“Daegu may not be the biggest city, but we’re technically landlocked. It’d be pretty shitty if something big happened and we couldn’t get out.” He pushed the laptop back towards me and straightened up.

“Yeah but we live on the outskirts of town. If something big were to happen we could just hole up here right? Or get out into the countryside and find a place to hide out until things clear up.” I gazed up at him, worry creasing my brow as I gnawed at the skin of my lower lip with my teeth.

“Don’t worry about it too much kiddo. Even if something were to happen on a scale like that, the Americans would have it figured out in no time. Plus you’ve got us and the gang to protect you. We both know Jungkook would never let anything bad happen to you. That boy would lay down his life for you if he had to.” Namjoon reached across the counter and patted my head.

My frown darkened as I pulled out of his grasp, smoothing down my hair as he turned and walked out of the kitchen with a pleasant wave over his shoulder.

“That’s the part that scares me the most…” I muttered to no one in particular as I stared down at the article once more before shutting the laptop down.

Darkness descended quickly. Early winter always had this ability to put me on edge. The days shortened and temperatures dropping rapidly to leave me on edge no matter what I did or what mindset I tried to put myself in.

Jungkook and Hoseok had gone out earlier that evening to make a delivery. Big money having been put on the line in order to ensure that our suppliers didn’t go into hiding for the winter months like they liked to do when the snow set in and the streets got too cold to huddle on the corners for a quick sale.

Namjoon and I sat in the living room, eyes focused on the news from overseas as our lookouts Yoongi and Jin called in occasional reports from the police scanners.

“Looks like it’s going to be a slow night.” Yoongi grumbled from his corner of the room as he set down his headphones and stretched.

Namjoon shrugged, flipping to another news channel in order to refresh the cycle and perhaps get a new perspective on the details that were flooding in from China. “We can only hope it stays slow. Jungkook’s gonna be out with Hobi most of the night making that delivery and I’d hate for things to heat up before they can get back.”

Jin glanced over from his station, gaze dulled by boredom as he switched between the radio channels. “Fire out at the high school. Looks like multiple trucks going in, no injuries.”

Yoongi grunted, standing from his chair and heading towards the kitchen. “Anybody need anything while I’m up?” He quirked his head in my direction, seeming to have aimed the question at me more than anyone else.

I shook my head, giving him an appreciative smile which he reciprocated with a quick nod before disappearing from the room.

“Hey, I…” Namjoon stuttered before giving up at Yoongi’s disappearance. “Well never mind then hyung.” He muttered before turning his attention back to the television.

“We interrupt this broadcast to bring you new information on the developing situation in Mainland China.”

“Hey Joonie turn that up would you?” I scooted to the edge of the sofa, watching intently as Namjoon fumbled with the remote while raising the volume enough for us to hear the report.

“According to authorities the South Korean government has elected to refuse all planes and ships inbound from China and other asianic coast bound countries. There have been multiple cases of attacks in airports that seem to have stemmed from the disease along with several hundred casualties and dozens more in major cities all across South Korea that have been injured. Hospitals are filling up rapidly all across the country with people in a panic over supposed symptoms. Doctors are citing an inability to keep up with the influx of new patients.”

“Looks like people are starting to panic.” Namjoon mused over the report as he watched the ticker scrolling across the bottom of the screen.

“I don’t like this…” I said more to myself as I sat back and pulled my blanket around me. Huddling into the warmth my attention was pulled to the phone in my hand, checking once more for any messages that I may have missed from either Hobi or Jungkook.

“Have either of you heard from Jimin?” Jin’s calm voice pulled me from the phone and I looked up at him, eyes furrowed with increasing worry.

“He said he was on shift yesterday but I haven’t heard much from him since.” Namjoon worried at his lower lip as he answered, attention now drawn to his own phone as he shot the young doctor a message.

Jimin worked at a local clinic, having been sort of initiated into our group after Yoongi and Hoseok had ended up having to bring him back to our place one night when Hobi’d been shot in the shoulder after a deal gone wrong. He’d quickly become our go to doctor when injuries happened to occur and going to a mainstream hospital had been out of the question.

He didn’t ask questions the first year or so that we’d known him but eventually we’d clued him in to our business and despite his misgivings he’d been pretty much considered family ever since.

“Says he was on call late last night and spent today catching up on sleep. He’s on his way over now but that he might get called into work if the panic starts to get worse.” Namjoon sat his phone on the coffee table in front of us and returned his attention to the news reports that continued to flash across the screen.

I huffed, pulling my knees to my chest and wrapping my arms around them as my eyes stared off into nothingness.

With everything we’d gone through, from turf wars to money loss, supply runs to foreign countries and a handful of betrayals that’d almost landed half our crew in jail a few years back, I'd never been truly scared. Worried yes, but never actually scared. This though…

This new...whatever it was that seemed to be making its rounds, really had me on edge.

I didn’t even notice when Yoongi set a cup of hot coffee in my hands, despite me having told him not to worry about me. I barely acknowledged Jimin when he’d walked in the door and taken over Jin’s spot at the police scanners. My mind was too focused on the news, and the hundreds of things that could and probably would go wrong.

Namjoon and Yoongi’s phones rang at the same time, pulling them from their posts to either side of me as they got up and left the room. I looked over to Jimin who’d exchanged worried glances with Jin as he waved the elder boy over to the second scanner across from him.

“Channel's 15 and 8.”

Jin nodded that’d he’d heard, placing the headphones over his head as he spun the dials back and forth between the mentioned stations, pausing only long enough to listen with wide eyes before moving on to the next station.

“What is it, what’s wrong?” I could feel the panic begin to rise as I watched the two men begin to get increasingly agitated.

The news grabbed my attention.

“We’re coming to you live from Daegu where there has been a reported outbreak. Multiple injuries reported, many….lives are...stay...inside...danger…”

The reporter seemed to have been live on location, the camera man struggling to keep up with the running reporter. It looked to me like they were running away from something,or someone.

“That’s at the hospital!” I just about shrieked, jumping to my feet as I watched with wide eyes. The cameraman turned, aiming the shaking camera at a massive crowd of people that seemed to be running in terror from a hospital.

One person went down, being virtually trampled to death and a woman screamed as an older man jumped on her back, tearing into her neck like some starved animal.

“Jesus…” Jin muttered as he watched the news. “This is happening all over. The cops can barely keep up with all the calls that are flooding in.”

My hands trembled as I scrambled to pick up my phone, quivering fingers struggling to type in the numbers needed to reach Jungkook.

“He’s alright. I just got off the phone with him. He’s on his way back here but it sounds like Hobi got hurt when they were trying to escape.” Namjoon had reentered the room, Yoongi following close behind with his phone still to his ear.

“Taehyung’s with them. Hobi wasn’t bit just got shoved into the street. Fucking car hit him and fucked up his leg.” Yoongi hung up the phone, eyes pinning me down with a concerned look. “Jungkook is okay, just like Joon said.”

I nodded,barely hearing anything over the screaming on the television and the sound of blood rushing through my veins. My vision wavered for a moment as panic began to set in and Yoongi reacted immediately.

He stalked across the room, hands around my waist as he lowered me to the sofa. His touch was reassuring as he guided me through the panic attack.

“Just breathe. Focus on my voice.” He turned to Namjoon with a glare. “Fuck’s sake turn it down she’s freaking out.”

Namjoon compiled, lowering the volume to a quiet drone as I began to get a handle on my emotions. Yoongi crouched before me, cat like eyes boring into my own as a focus point.

“There we go little sis. Breathe, it’s okay. We’re safe here and Jungkook’s on his way back.”

I nodded, inhaling deeply through my nose and letting out the breath in a slow whistle through pursed lips.

“It’s alright. I’m okay Yoongi.”

He glanced over my face, checking for residual signs of lingering doubt. Satisfied with what he saw he shot me a nose crinkling grin as he gave my hands one last pat and came back to his feet.

Shaking out the last of my nerves I stood as well, realizing that without Jungkook there they were going to end up looking to me for direction.

“Alright. Joon get on the phone with East Side. Make sure they’re stocked up and tell them to hole up until this blows over. The last thing we need is for them to go wandering off and get caught up in the police barricades.”

Namjoon saluted, reaching into his pocket for his phone as he left the room once more.

“Yoongi, you and Jin check our ammunition and make sure all the doors and windows are secure. I want the garage ready to be locked down and bolted once Jungkook and the others get here.” The two men saluted as well, both looking grim as they checked their concealed weapons while leaving the room together.

“Jimin?” I turned to the young doctor, reading the fear in his eyes as he stared down at his ringing phone.

“I...the clinic is calling…” He seemed unsure of himself as he looked up at me with tears in his eyes.

“I kind of figured they would.” I moved over to him, hands coming to rest on his shoulders as he sat at the corner table. “Listen, I know you have a job to do. I understand trust me.”

We both glanced down at the phone as it went silent before starting up again with the urgent ring.

“Hobi’s hurt and we need you. But...if you think…”

“No no.” Jimin shook his head as he interrupted me, hands going to turn the ringing phone off.

“You guys are my family. I know they’re gonna need me at the clinic but considering what’s going on I’d much rather stay here with you guys than get stuck holed up at a clinic with a bunch of guys infected with God only knows what.” He seemed determined, despite the slight tremble in his voice and the shake to his hands as he stowed the phone back in his pocket.

“You sure?” I couldn’t help but worry, knowing that he’d always been the first to volunteer should there be an emergency that required his aid.

“Yeah. Just. Keep me busy here until Hobi’s back. I wanna stay here. I’d rather be home.”

I gave him a soft smile, pulling him into a hug before letting him go and stepping away. “That much I can do. Go to the kitchen, grab a pen and paper and head to the basement. I need a full inventory of all the emergency MRE’s that we have. After that check the mini clinic and make sure you have everything stocked up and ready to go.”

“Do...do you think it’s going to come to that?” He asked as he stood from his chair.

“Come to what?” I asked, already knowing what he meant.

“To us being stuck or trapped here for a long time?”

I shrugged, glancing over at the TV which was showing more places that’d dissolved into panic and chaos.

“I honestly don’t know but I’d rather be prepared than caught in some dumb situation where we aren’t ready for whatever this could become.” I heaved a sigh before returning my attention to him with a forced smile.

“No matter what, we’ve got this though. We’re stronger when we’re together and we’re the best this town’s ever seen.”

Jimin nodded, giving me a hesitant smile before leaving to attend to his assigned duties. After taking a moment to ground myself I made my way upstairs, passing Yoongi in the hall who gave me a quick nod.

“Upstairs rooms are secure. Gonna head to the garage and check the cache.”

“Alright,” I replied, patting his arm and giving him a strained smile. “I’m gonna work on getting the guest rooms set up for everybody. Clean sheets and all that. Shouldn’t take me too long. Let me know when Jungkook gets home okay?”

He departed with a nod and I set to work, going from room to room and making sure the hidden weapons were loaded and that all the beds were made up for my boys.

When we had them all spend the night some of them usually shared rooms. Jimin and Taehyung shared a room and Joonie and Hoseok usually shared while Jin and Yoongi opted to have their own rooms.

I paused at the door to mine and Jungkook’s room, standing just inside the door as I surveyed the interior. Jungkook’s hoodie from the day before lay discarded on the floor and the chair to his computer desk had been left pulled out. I walked over to the hoodie, grabbing it off the floor as I dropped into the rolling chair and hugged the hoodie to my chest.

Bringing it up to my nose I inhaled his scent, finding comfort in the realization that he’d stolen my peach body spray once more despite me fussing at him about it before. It always struck me as odd that he could use the same sprays as me and still come out smelling so manly and yet so much like home.

With a sigh I folded the hoodie, placing it on the computer’s keyboard. Just as I went to stand though a shout came from downstairs, followed by what sounded like a groan of pain.

I dashed quickly from the room, making my way across the landing to the stairs just in time to see Jungkook supporting an injured Hobi as they made their way to the basement door tucked beneath the main staircase.

“Kookie?” I hollered, stumbling a bit over my feet as I took the stairs down two at a time.

“I’m good babe, where’s Jimin?” Came his breathless reply.

“Should be in the clinic. Hey Tae, you okay?” I skidded to a stop as Taehyung rushed over and grabbed Hoseok’s free arm, helping Jungkook support the injured man as I opened the basement door for them.

Taehyung gave me a brief nod, motioning to the garage with his head. “Yeah, Yoongi hyung and Namjoon hyung said they needed you. Something about the bolts on the garage doors.”

I worried at my bottom lip with my teeth as I eyed the trail of blood leading from the three men out into the garage.

“Hey, angel. It’s alright. We got this.” Jungkook gave me a look, one that calmed me instantly and reminded me of my roll in the group.

“Keep them busy. Don’t let anybody panic and make sure we’re secure.” He shot me a smile, soft and sweet and filled with love and trust in me.

I returned the smile, tilting my head a bit to look at a very pale Hoseok. “Hang in there okay? Jimin’s gonna get you fixed up real quick.”

He nodded, gulping to bite down another groan of pain as he gave me a shaky grin. “I know. I’m good. Just..the blood…” His voice trailed off to a whimper as he shut his eyes.

“We gotta get him downstairs before he loses anymore blood guys.” Tae interrupted, his tone urgent as he motioned to the torn flesh of Hoseok’s left leg.

I gave Jungkook a quick kiss to his cheek before letting them go, more so as a reassurance for me that he was real and alive than as a show of affection.

I made my way to the garage, fingers dancing along the grip of the 9 mil 1911 that I kept strapped to my hip at all times. It’d become almost like an extra limb to me, days where I wasn’t able to carry it close leaving me feeling bare, almost naked to the public eye.

“Jin, make sure to grab the extended clips from storage.” I hollered into the expansive garage.

Yoongi and Namjoon stood by the large door, both seeming in deep conversation as Jin jogged by me with a nod of deferral in my direction. I inclined my head towards him and continued on my way, stopping before the large doors and listening to the tail end of the two elder’s conversation.

“I know it’s a pretty sturdy lock but I still feel like we should barricade it just in case.” Namjoon seemed pretty adamant on his opinion as he’d been gesturing wildly ever since I stepped into the place.

“That may be so. But think about it Joon. What if we need a quick getaway?” Yoongi frowned at his younger partner, arms folded over his chest as he spoke quietly despite the heated state of the conversation.

“Yoongi, Namjoon, you’re both right. We do need to barricade it but a quick exit needs to be an option for us.”

I glanced over the large double doors, eyeing the motor and mechanisms and taking stock of the two large SUVs parked in the large space.

“Got any suggestions then Miss Queen of the household?” There was no snark or sass in Namjoon’s voice. Quite the contrary, the title was something the boys often used when they were waiting on me to figure a way out of a shitty situation.

Yoongi hushed him as my eyes wandered back to the garage door motor. Trailing along the power cord that trailed from the motor and along the ceiling to an outlet in the corner of the room my eyes and mind lit up.

Piled in the corner of the room where a bunch of 12 foot metal beams and a handful of shorter ones. Iron left over from when Jungkook had added a railing to the back porch 2 summers ago.

“Joonie...do we still have that plasma torch in the basement?” I asked, turning to him with excitement.

He nodded, clearly not following the plan that had begun to form in my head. As I began to outline the idea to the two a sort of giddy excitement fell over our little group.

“Yeah, I think we can manage that.” Yoongi nodded as he went over to the workbench Jin had insisted on having. The bench in question was piled with tools, some put away properly while others had been abandoned in half hazard piles in the middle of whatever project the group happened to be working on.

Pulling a pen and pad of paper from the pile he began sketching out my idea, making sure that he’d gotten all the details down before turning to me with a tooth filled grin.

“This might just fucking work.” Namjoon said as he went over measurements and calculations in his head.

“Just be sure that after you’re done you line up the SUVs and unplug the motor to the door.” I gave each of them a hug, praising them for their earlier work and gaining reassurances that the two would put my plan into motion immediately.

Yoongi went to work gathering what he would need as Namjoon followed me out of the garage and down to the basement, the two of us now grim faced as we could hear Hoseok’s groans of pain from the doorway just beneath the stairs.

BTS Members as the Sons of Feanor

OH MY GOSH WHAT THE HECK

so @thelonelybrilliance just showed up late to the Silmarillion and new to BTS and she decided to break my brain by tagging me and @abadpoetwithdreams asking us if we could match up the 7 members of BTS with the 7 sons of Feanor. May she never ask such a question again because I have spent about 6 hours total writing this rant essay that is somewhere of abouts 3500 words. I don’t have the self-control to stop myself from things like this, I love Tolkien and BTS too much

anyway here is a very long and rambling post that was partially composed in my head in the shower and is now just stream of consciousness

(Disclaimer: The members of BTS are beautiful souls and this post is in no way saying that they are as murderous as my problematic faves the sons of Feanor)

ok so the only thing I know for ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN is that Namjoon is Maedhros. if you know anything at all about BTS and the Feanorians, the reasons are obvious:

1. Namjoon is the tallest, and Maedhros is literally called Maedhros the Tall.

2. Maedhros has a lot of names but he was called Maitimo by his mom which means “beautiful” or “well-shaped one” and such an appellation is perfect for Namjoon (ok let’s be real the name could fit every single member of BTS but whatever)

3. (and most important!) never was there a more harried elf trying to keep his brothers in line and alive and not cut to pieces by some justifiably insulted cousin or Sindarin. Maedhros is the mom, the dad, the king, the leader, the eldest bro. “Guys, can we NOT be rude to the sons of Finarfin, can we NOT start a war among the Noldor when we still have Morgoth just across the way” I’m pretty sure he would also lose his passport multiple times if Middle-earth had such things, because his brothers are hard enough to keep track of. while Namjoon may not be the eldest in years, everything else matches up too perfectly. He is the leader of BTS, the spokesman, the one who encourages the other members to step up and speak, helps them with their English (even when he judges them for their dumb mistakes lol), is literally SO DONE with his bros all the time but loves them so freaking much. He is the planner, the peace-maker, yet also has fire in his veins and has seen a lot of darkness and suffering and survived to become even stronger. So too with Namjoon

(caveat: if BTS were Feanorians, and Namjoon captured by Morgoth himself, there is no freaking way they wouldn’t have done SOMETHING to rescue their fearless leader. Jin and Jungkook would storm Thangorodrim fists swinging, followed by Jimin and J-Hope, fierce like you’ve never seen them, and Taehyung would Luthien Tinuviel Morgoth centuries early, or Yoongi would simply glare at Morgoth till he shrank down into a puddle of trembling goo. Don’t laugh at me you know I’m right)

moving on

I have maybe two choices for Maglor? One is Jin, but that might partially be because everyone always talks about how Namjoon and Jin are the mom and dad or dad and mom of BTS. and Maglor is always paired in my head with Maedhros as the other parental figure of the Feanorian bros, though that might be because of how he and Maedhros look after Elrond and Elros. Of course, I love Jin’s singing and I will never ever ever be over “Epiphany”, so I am way cool with making Jin Maglor as far as the music thing goes

All this said, I am not sure if this is the best fit overall. Jin is the King of Chaos in BTS, and I wouldn’t name Maglor as such...also I think I might have another Feanorian for Jin, but I’ll get to that later (spoilers, it’s...Curufin??!) (oh no, I just realized I might have one other argument for Jin being Maglor: “I use other people to make myself happy. I make myself smile by making others smile.” Like, that could be a good quote for Maglor potentially, if you want to relate it to his music, or his care for Elrond and Elros……..but I’m still thinking Curufin for Jin. Stay tuned)

So anyway my other option for Maglor would be...oh heck no I have two other options. No wait THREE. What the HECK. ok let me figure this out. The options are J-Hope, Yoongi, and Jimin. I’m not even sure why yet so let’s find out. (sidenote: if Maedhros did not exist Namjoon the song-writer would be Maglor, as the greatest poet and bard)

1. J-Hope as Maglor: I don’t know, I had reasons but they are escaping me. Maglor is said to have had a gentler temperament than his brothers and I would say J-Hope has a very soft sunshine heart. I guess one thing is that Maglor was left to hold everybody together when Maedhros was captured by Morgoth, and if Namjoon was ever hung on a cliff for an indeterminate amount of time or whatever equals that in our world, J-Hope would step up. I keep seeing things about how he supports the other members when they are having tough times, giving them encouragement and food and love. He leads them in practicing dance choreography all the time, and if I remember I am pretty sure Namjoon actually stated that Hoseok would make a good group leader.

Also one time Namjoon was talking about Hobi (oh shoot, should J-Hope of the many names be Maedhros of the many names? Lol maybe in that one universe where Namjoon is Maglor, then Hobi could could be Maedhros) Namjoon says that J-Hope is like water (where did Maglor toss his Silmaril again hmm?) and puts people at ease. Well idk about other people but Maglor seems to have put Elrond and Elros at ease because even after that whole Kinslaying thing “love grew between them as little might be thought.” I too would probably come to love J-Hope no matter the past between us. He is just that sweet and soft-hearted

2. Yoongi as Maglor: ok honestly I really really actually want Yoongi for Caranthir, more on that later. However I also like Yoongi as Maglor because it is unexpected, yet certain things just feel right. I keep thinking about Yoongi’s “First Love” where he raps about how his PIANO was his first love (GOSH ISN’T THAT THE SWEETEST THING EVER) also in Lee Sora’s “Song Request” he raps this: “I’m happiness to someone and the soul to another / A lullaby to someone and at times a noise / I’ll be with you at your birth and your end / Remember we’re always together anywhere / I’ll always console your life / So just lean on me and rest sometimes” and LOOK I JUST DIED TYPING THIS but what I am getting at is music is burnt into Yoongi’s soul as I think it is Maglor’s, and Yoongi really is very soft and loving and also one time Namjoon said that Yoongi “makes me ponder about what kind of person I am” and Maglor several times is a voice of reason and very much tries to dissuade Maedhros from going after the Silmarils one last time. Idk it could work (but also...CARANTHIR) (BUT ALSO OMG YOONGI’S VOICE MURDERS ME WHEN HE RAPS AND HIS PASSION WOW AND NOW I AM PICTURING MODERN DAY MAGLOR RAPPING OBLIQUELY ABOUT HIS FAMILY AND PAST AND PAIN UGGGGGGGHHHH

3. Who was my other choice? Right, Jimin. Why did I say Jimin?? ? i don’t remember, dang it

Ok I think it is definitely time to do Caranthir.

As previously stated, I love Yoongi as Caranthir. I have my reasons personally I think they are very good reasons :D Ok Caranthir is WOW ok I am OFFENDED because I just went to double-check something on wikipedia and I typed Caranthir into the Google search engine and the first three results were all about this Caranthir dude from the Witcher, and while that game seems very interesting I am UPSET for Yoongi’s I mean Caranthir the Dark’s sake.

Caranthir the Dark. What a name. I mean it might just be a reference to his father-name of Morifinwe and to his hair, but he is also described as being the harshest and quickest to anger. Yoongi, bless his soul and his actually very soft and squishy heart, is well known for: being unbothered by BTS general antics, for being the one to sit back and watch everyone else do dumb stuff (like when they were all dancing to MIC drop and he just walks away from them, or when they are all acting like kids jumping in the pool and he just watches with a smile on his face while drinking a glass of wine and look to me Caranthir is the one Feanorian who doesn’t pair up with anyone in particular, like we have Maedhros and Maglor, Celegorm and Curufin, Amrod and Amras, but Caranthir is the one who goes off and lives separate from them and

GOSH now I sound so dumb because I am NOT trying to say that Caranthir doesn’t love his bros or that Yoongi is a loner that is NOT what I am saying, agh I mean Caranthir is great (minus, you know, the kin-slayings the Feanorians sadly fall into) and even befriends Haleth’s people and protects them, t’s just this weird categorizing thing in my head, that Caranthir is the crusty brother, and while he loves his bros to DEATH and they him, the majority of his bros are sliiiiightly afraid of him, in a brotherly way, like how the members are with Yoongi! Like just recently oh what was it, they were on a BTS Run episode and someone had to splash or otherwise give Yoongi a penalty and right away everyone was like NAMJOON YOU DO IT. turning to the leader hyung because they don’t want Yoongi to be mad at them

Of course now I am remembering that one post of gifs demonstrating how Jungkook is the only one who can bother Yoongi without dying lol except NOW I am picturing Amrod the youngest Feanorian* being the only one who can bother Caranthir and then the ensuing PAIN because Amrod Umbarto (thanks for THAT name, Mom) perishes (in certain canon) in flames at the Burning of the Ships and wowwww no I do not need any of this pain

*SIDENOTE: AMROD IS THE YOUNGEST IN CERTAIN CANON WHICH CONFUSES THINGS A HECK OF A LOT SEE THE AMROD AND AMRAS SECTION BELOW

I’m pretty sure I have never rambled so much in my life and also pretty sure I have way too many parentheses and not all of them are closed oops

Anyway, imagine Caranthir as the brother you are afraid of but would die for and who would die for you if anyone looks at you wrong, the brother with the wry acerbic wit, but who LITERALLY LIGHTS UP THE UNIVERSE WITH HIS SMILE AND ALSO DOESN’T EXPRESS HIS LOVE ALOUD AS OFTEN AS SOME OF YOUR BROTHERS DO BUT

HE SECRETLY LOVES PHYSICAL CONTACT AT TIMES AND ALSO SECRETLY LOVES PIGGY-BACK RIDES EVEN THO HE PROFESSES TO HATE THEM AND GIVES OUT WISE LIFE ADVICE TO HIS BROS AND HIS PEOPLE AND IS SUCH A SOFTIE FOR HIS BROS AND OCCASIONALLY SENDS ONE OF HIS BABY BROS LONG LETTERS WITH A SIMPLE “I LOVE YOU” AT THE END THAT HAS CELEGORM OR AMROD CRYING FOR TEN MINUTES (HAHAHA GUESS WHO I THINK TAEHYUNG WOULD BE)

Also someone has to be the best cook of the Feanorians and it might as well be Caranthir

….apparently I’m not done with Caranthir, because “the Dark” also makes me think of a dark horse, or at least something happening that is unexpected, and that reminds me of that interview where dad/mom/interpreter Namjoon was like yeah none of the other members can speak English, and then Yoongi just out of NOWHERE speaks a line of great English and Namjoon was like ….guess I was wrong

OKAAAAY WHERE ARE WE

I do not have very clear thoughts about who the rest of the members are so let’s just go with my brain and hope it makes some good connections

Let’s do Celegorm since I just mentioned him

Celegorm could be either Taehyung or….Jin? :? Merrr idk. Let’s examine

I think the main reason why I jump at the option of Tae for Celegorm is because of Tae’s love for his dog Yeontan, or Tan, and of course Celegorm is the master of Huan, and they had a very special relationship for ages until Celegorm f---ed up. Seriously, you want to see something cute? Look up Tae’s Vlive that is entirely focused on his lil pupper (what am I saying look up ANYTHING about Tae and you will find something cute)

On the other hand Jin could be Celegorm because Celegorm is known as the Fair and if you don’t know by now that Jin is World Wide Handsome I don’t know how I can help you

OMG WAIT I JUST THOUGHT OF OTHER REASONS WHY JIN COULD BE CELEGORM! So Celegorm’s father-name is Turcafinwë, which basically means “strong in body” and Jin has got those broad shoulders (gosh they are so broad). Also, Celegorm’s mother-name is Tyelkormo, or “hasty riser,” referring to his quick temper and habit of leaping when angered. And this doesn’t perfectly relate but the amount of times I have seen Jin yelling or just being wild in general or even just pretending to be mad makes me think of this. Also there was one time idk what was even going on but Jin was struggling to pronounce Bangtansonyeon-dan (SAME) and saying it was too long and difficult and J-Hope was teasing him and Namjoon told him not to get mad since he had been calling himself a fairy and shouldn’t be mad as such, and Jin was like hey I can be a mad fairy if I want lol

See now I am just confused because now I am looking back at Jin as Maglor and I might like that better? WHY IS THIS SO HARD

Speaking of Jin, and Celegorm, why on EARTH was I thinking of Jin for Curufin? Ugggh see my problem is I ran out of time last night and so I am finishing the essay some 20 hours later and I kNOW that when I was saying Jin should be Curufin I had a better reason then their names rhyme. Heck, I could make that same argument for Jimin as Curufin.

Except I also have a second and better argument for Jimin as Curufin, at least under the circumstance where Taehyung is Celegorm. Look, all the BTS members are really close with each other, and you can literally argue all day about who is closer to who (a really pointless waste of time in my opinion I mean why argue when you can just melt over them all being sweet and funny and kind and teasing with each other) but anyway all that aside one thing I love in particular is how sweet Jimin and Taehyung often are with each other, holding hands and comforting each other and being on teams in competitions *starts laughing at the memory of them being complete disasters that one cooking show* and anyway Celegorm and Curufin seem pretty inseparable, running around causing all kinds of trouble (guys sTOP). Jimin and Taehyung have called themselves soulmates, so it makes sense to have them be part of a duo

Not that Taehyung would engage in a kidnapping stunt like Celegorm did, but the point is, Jimin, the precious bby, has Tae’s back

Jimin: “Taehyung is the happiest when he is with me” aww

This has nothing to do with the point of this post but I just need to stop here and say that Jimin is so freaking talented I was just looking up some gifsets of him and obviously his singing is angelic but also OMGGG his dancing!!!

Ok, jumping back slightly, I guess one way Jin could be Curufin is if Jungkook is Celegorm, because I could see those beautiful dorks running around causing all kinds of trouble, except I really have no reason to have Jungkook be Celegorm, especially since he is very much Amras in my head for reasons

OOOH NO I also thought of a way in which Jungkook could be--wait for it--cURUFIN. WHY AM I LIKE THIS

You see, Curufin was his dad’s favorite son and thus Feanor gave his favorite son the exact same father-name Feanor had, Curufinwë, and Curufin is the only son who chose to use his father-name over his mother-name if I recall, and anyway all meaning he probably loved his dad a lot and was proud of his name, and this makes me think of how Namjoon gave Jungkook the title of the Golden Maknae and of how freaking much Jungkook looks up to and respects Namjoon (look while Namjoon is a hyung, he is also a dad figure, so he may as well be Feanor and Maedhros both)

I guess if Jungkook were Curufin, Jin could go back to being Celegorm

Aaaaggggh you do not know how much hair I have pulled out this is taking a lot of brainwork

FINALLY AT THE LAST TWO

We now present my exceedingly confused ramblings regarding the twins Amrod and Amras. Before we begin, let me SHAKE MY FIST AT TOLKIEN FOR MAKING THIS ESSAY EVEN MORE CONFUSING TO WRITE

See, I had Jungkook all set up in my head as Amras, the youngest son according to the Silmarillion. Jungkook is the maknae, the baby, and all the members DOTE on him and he loves them and respects them and pesters them and it’s great, so yeah Jungkook has to be Amras the baby of the Feanorians. I would then put Taehyung as Amrod, the just barely older bby who the other members also adore and protect. Jungkook and Taehyung are SO FREAKING CUTE whenever they are doing stuff together, whether it is singing or hugging or holding each other on their backs while they singing. When they goof off together or pester each other, they are the most precious, must dorkiest dorks to ever be my faves. Hence why I pair them together in my head as Amrod and Amras, at least the times when I am not pairing Tae with Jimin or Jungkook with Jin. Amrad and Amras seem as inseparable as Celegorm and Curufin, and they go off and live in some beautiful wild part of the land and basically stick to hunting and staying out of everyone’s business until they get reminded they took a stupid oath

EXCEPT then Tolkien has one alternate writing where the youngest is actually AMROD and Amrod dies at the burning of the ships because Feanor doesn’t know how to count his kids I guess (Namjoon you lost something again) (sorry that is a terrible joke) (but is it made slightly better by the fact that while Namjoon is apparently Feanor he is much more Maedhros, who was against the burning of the ships and did not participate?) so like this is where I started to get my third headache (exacerbated by the fact that I haven’t eaten dinner yet and it is 9 pm what is wrong with me) because then I have to make Jungkook Amrod and Taehyung Amras. It’s such a trial having to write both their names next to both Feanorians

On the other hand, an interesting thing to think about is that in this alternate writing, Amras was so aggrieved by his brother’s death that he called out Feanor--Feanor!--for being so dumb as to A. call or let his wife call their youngest by the name of Umbarto (the Fated) and then to B. accidentally let him perish in a fire that FEANOR started because he had a grudge (and I think Tolkien wrote that that Amrod was possibly sleeping on the ships because he was upset with Feanor for the terrible deeds he was committing, so like, double way to go Feanor)

I am really tired and hungry my head hurts

What am I missing?

I like Taehyung and Jungkook best for Amrod and Amras a lot BUT if I were doing one of the other options above, I could see having the follow lineup:

Jin=Celegorm, Jungkook= Curufin, Jimin=Amrod, Taehyung=Amras

In this instance, I could see Jimin and Tae as either Amrod or Amras no matter which one is older. Taehyung could definitely be the bby and do his own thing but could also be the brother who mourns his brother and calls out Feanor. Actually though Jimin while being young and precious gives me more of an older brother vibe than Taehyung does, so I guess I would have Jimin be the elder of the twins. Yes, that makes more sense

UGH but wait if I put Jimin and Tae as Curufin and Celegorm, I could put Jungkook back as youngest bby Amrod or Amras, but would Jin fit into the older twin role? Maaaaybe, if you just think about Jungkook and Jin heading off by themselves and goofing off...I don’t like it as much though

Hi, Anon! Thank you for the ask, it’s a good one that I haven’t received and a topic that I have never discussed about any BTS ship: matching items/jewellery. So let’s hop onto it.

I know you said to not say “they’re close friends” and I’m sorry, Anon, but I gotta start with it: BTS are extremely good friends, they’re basically a family at this point so them having any sort of matching items is not really that big of a deal. I know you said to not lead with that but hear me out.

I’m not sure what exactly the deal with the t/k matching rings is. I’ve heard about it vaguely so when I read your ask I did a little spy mission digging through tweets about it and it doesn’t seem like a big deal to me at all to be honest. There are a few times when I see they had similar rings (can’t say if they’re 100% identical) during and outside schedule and events but they are scattered through time (as I saw) and it’s not always at all the same pair.

Then is the fact that a lot of the pics I saw one or both of them wore his ring on the index finger which is not something to be concerned about. I think I saw one picture from an ad where they might have had similar ones on but these things don’t matter because the boys (I think it was Jimin) have said that before events/concerts they have a table of accessories to choose from. Also stylists on photoshoots and such have a say in the outfits and accessories.

Even if the rings are their personal belongings I don’t see the issue. They don’t wear them often, they don’t usually put them on any other finger than the index one. It’s really really not a big deal.

I know matching items is a thing between couples in Korea but pretty much almost all of BTS have some matching stuff, be it clothes or jewellery.

Amongst Jikook shippers there’s quite the talk about matching rings as well, many occasions, many theories and many posts were created about them. Jimin and Jungkook for sure have matching rings that we’ve seen them wear on their fourth finger on the right hand at the same time during a concert and several other times. And most repeatedly with them it’s the same ring and it looks like it’s a personal belonging because Jimin has been photographed with him a lot of times. Jungkook too has been shot wearing his a good amount but maybe less than Jimin.

So, why are some rings more special than others? Are you focused on this issue because it’s rings we’re talking about and they have a certain symbolism to them? Because as it stands right now, both ships have rings and at least for Jikook we have definite proof of them wearing it on the fourth finger of the same hand at the same time at a high profile event. JK himself made sure that we saw the rings that day and that they will be photographed.

Apart from rings, both JM and Tae have matching necklaces, Maknae line also have matching necklaces, JK and Tae have bracelets as well as Hobi and Jin. In fact Hoseok and Seokjin’s ones are a $6000/each Cartier “Love bracelet” which according to the brand symbolise love and commitment. Yet no-one seems to freak about those. Is it because they are not that popular of a pairing? Come on guys, give some love to 2seok!

In our fandom (actually pretty much in all kpop fandoms) a lot of attention is given to what matches what between two idols but look at the examples I gave you, it turns out it’s not that big of an issue, especially not one worth losing your calm and sleep over. Compared to other moments in all ships matching anything is just a smaaall cherry on top. It’s not really what the icing is to a cake, it’s more like if someone decided to put some sprinkles on it midway through serving. Nothing to focus too much energy on (and that goes for all ships). While the sprinkles may add flavour, they don’t really change the taste or make dessert on their own.

I will give you a good example of a matching items moment that is a little more worth freaking over though: Jimin posting a tweet on Valentine’s day of him and Jungkook wearing a matching jacket. That have some merrit because indeed in SK couples tend to show their love by wearing similar/identical outfits especially on special occasions such as *cue drum sounds for dramatic effect* you guessed it: Valentine’s day! That was a moment truly, Jimin knew what he was doing.

Another cute moment: Jungkook dressed as a bunny, Jimin as cabbage (so that “Jungkook can eat him”). That.. kind of .. sort of are couple’s costumes for Halloween.

There are soo many instances of matching anything that honestly I neither keep track nor focus on them. It’s cute and that’s all. I suggest you do the same!

Also, I want to address a part of your ask about “calming down”. I know each of us is dedicated to our ship, we have spend time on it, we are concerned with it, we have invested ourself into it. But really our NOTP having a moment or turning out to be real is not at all the worst thing that can happen to us or them. In fact if a person is truly an ARMY, an OT7 stan, then he/she will love all the members. And if you love them, you think they are great people and appreciate them, you want them to be happy.

My point is JK turning out to be in love with Tae, Yoongi, Namjoon or anyone else from Bangtan really is not the worst case scenario because at least he will be with someone great and then they both will be happy. So it’s a win - win if you leave our personal wishes out of the picture. Same goes for Jimin and any other member/ship.

We all want our ship to be canon but honestly there isn’t a pair I wouldn’t support. At least I know they will be in good hands with each other.

Adrift- Chapter 2:

Last time: A plain looking plus sized woman comes aboard the ship that had been docked for weeks. She’s the captain’s newest toy and she tells him about Bangtan Island where riches await and girl do to. The ship’s poet, Hoseok, is excited for his heart longs to the sea. However, his heart longs for the captain’s girl as they spend time together. A storm occurs, and they blame the woman. He doesn’t want her to go, but even as she asks him to come with her he can’t join her. She’s not human. Then what is she?

Sailor Hoseok was put into the brig, but he still wrote when there was enough light and the ocean was steady. He had never felt so homesick in his life. Usually, the sea was his home, but now it felt like hell. He missed his mom a lot and even wrote about her.

My mom’s voice That I hear is clear What I remember is My mom’s strength back then was my curve ball For real I was determined to be successful With that one promise I became the son I am now

The captain returned today, trying to ask him questions he didn’t know the answer to.

“What did you and the sea hag talk about when she was away from me?”

“Nothing but my poems. She was interested in them, and so I showed them to her.”

He faked his kindness, “I’m yer friend here, Hoseok. Tell me what kinds a poems were dey? Were dey love poems?”

Hoseok was honest, “Yes, but no woman ever graced my pages. My one and only love has been the ocean. The sea in all her shimmering beauty could never compare to--”

“Enough with that malarkey! Why did she ask you of all the men on my ship to come with her? What as this second chance she was talking about?”

“I don’t know, captain! That’s the first time I ever heard her ask me such a question. I swear to you!”

Captain Eumgyeong knocked over his stool in anger, “Fine! You don’t wanna tell me the truth! Stay in ‘ere then! Waste of my time!” He walked away and back to the surface, taking his lantern with him.

Before (Y/N), every poem he wrote that any inkling of true love was about the sea. Her waves. Her hidden treasures. Nothing else could compare until it swallowed his goddess whole. She was so different that the usual women who managed to seduce and steal from the captain and disappear the next morning with a new treasure of her own and probably some tropical disease.

Jimin came down a few minutes later, “Are you ok?”

“I’m as good as can be. How long did the captain say I’m stuck down here for, or is it just when he’s done being mad?”

“When we reach land again, you have to do some convinvin’ if you wanna stay. You’ll be free, but he’s pretty mad. Even Sailor Yoongi got some crap for persuadin’ Cap to let her come along.” Jimin laughed. “He threw it back in the captain’s face, and I was sure he was gonna challenge Yoongi to a duel.”

Hoseok begged Jimin for the details. Apparently, it was only a few hours after he had been put down here. Jimin was dancing as he usually did to cheer up the remaining shipmates, and the captain had been muttering under his breath. Yoongi heard his name and told the captain to speak up. Captain Eumgyeong yelled and said that it was Yoongi’s fault they had lost their sailors because he tricked him.

Yoongi had replied, “You’re the captain. You have the final word, don’t you? I’m just a sailor. I’m under your rule. You have no one to blame but yourself, Captain Eumg-yeong.”

Hobi laughed. Of course he would’ve said that. After giving Hoseok some food and water, Jimin went back up before he got in trouble. The black-haired lonely sailor soon fell asleep after eating the stale bread. He dreamt about (Y/N), but in a form he had never seen before with his own eyes.

It started with her on the plank in the storm. He decided to go with her. Hoseok didn’t even like his captain, so he had not much to lose other than two friends. And he loved her, why not go? They hold hands and jump together, feet first into that greedy waves. As they are both submerged in water, he had trouble breathing. Was it because of the cold or the sight before him?

(Y/N) began to change and transform. Her top was the same but seemed like it was embedded with the sun. As his eyes went down her frame, her legs got more slender, and soon enough, they weren’t even legs at all. It was a fish tail made up of the most glorious greens and blues. Hints of purple here and there making sure the viewer knew this was nothing short of magic.

He began to choke, but she kissed him. When their lips met, he was able to breathe as if he were on land.

“I promised you that you’d be safe, Hobi.”

Then she swam while holding his hand. A rough ocean bump woke Hoseok and he wrote. He wrote about a women, a human or whatever woman for the first time in his life. He didn’t need freedom. He just wanted her, wanted her to be ok. Even as he wrote, he wanted her to read his things. He craved her support..and more paper. He threw all his poems about her and for her out the small porthole in the chance his dream was real and she would be able to somehow read them.

The walls became his canvas when he was out of paper. It wasn’t until Yoongi unlocked the bars that he finally woke up.

“You gonna come out, or are you gonna stay in there? And it better be the latter ‘cuz Cap wants ta talk ta ya before we’re allowed to go on land.”

Hoseok got out and knew he smelled horribly. It didn’t matter. He walked out and was saddened by the lack of mates that were left. The breath that filled his lungs was more air than seawater, and it felt like he hadn’t had oxygen in forever.

“Get yer arse over here, Hoseok!”

“Yes, Captain.” He jogged to a place around the man.

But it was the same as always. They were allowed to go on land for however long. The main job was to recruit more sailors to join them on voyages. They had to make sure they were skilled and had sailed before.

“No more en’tainers. We’s enough of them already.” His eyes stared glassy daggers at Hoseok and Jimin. “Also, I’m goin’ ta see if that sea hag was tellin’ the truth about Bangtan Island. If it’s as popular as she says, someone round her must know ‘bout it. Dismissed...men.”

Before the storm, there were about 35 men on the ship. Now, it was just Yoongi, Jimin, six of the jerks, Cannonball Bang, and Hoseok. Ten. Only ten were left after the horrible storm. They weren’t great people, but they were decent sailors. Family, nonetheless.

Captain Eumgyeong went to the nearest tavern and asked for their biggest pint of whatever, and most of the other men did the same. He put down a bag of golden coins to let her know it’d be covered. The barmaid was fine with it. He looked around and saw a lot of brown eyes surrounded by brown skin and braids and curls. Freckles on some. Others were obviously mixed children. Others skin as pale as the moon with eyes sharp as rocks. Sunken eyes. Blues. Greens. Mixes and matches of all sorts.

All in all, it was diversity heaven. He knew he’d get some answers. His first question was to the barmaid who had her orange curls held in several braids that sprouted every which way.

“Miss, have you heard of a place called Bangtan Island.”

She grinned and her eyes glittered, “Of course. It’s not too far off. Many of the people here were born and bred on that very island. That’s how we bought this land for ourselves, our ancestors anyhow. It seems to be where all the riches from sunken ships go ta’ if you ask me.”

“So it’s real?” One of the jerks asked.

“As real as you need it to be. Only those with pure souls make it past the barrier, though. Steep jagged rocks home to the island’s protectors.” The woman handed a young man in a straw hat his drink. “Many are afraid to go after hearing about it.”

“I ain’t.” Captain Eumgyeong replied. “My remaining men aren’t afraid, and if they are, they can piss off.”

The Barmaid asked what he was talking about, and he shared his sad story about the woman and the sea. How he was lied to and maybe betrayed by one of his men. He looked around.

“Where is that raven now? He’s got black hair and talks a lot. Writes a lot too.”

Hoseok was in the tavern with his back to the captain, his head lost in thought, silent as a tomb. Inside his mind, he wondered if he had gone crazy down there in the ship’s prison. He had never written that much in such a short period ever, and never about a human unless the captain or someone asked. And why would he have thrown them out the window?

Crazy. Absolutely nuts.

But did she get them? He wondered, head in his hand. The other was firmly gripped on a mug of something yellow. Yoongi and Jimin came to sit next to him with drinks of their own. They pat his back.

“Glad you’re back above sea level, dude. Why did she even ask you to come with her in the first place.” Yoongi asked.

“It should’ve been me.” Jimin pouted and laughed, trying to bring up the mood.

Hobi shook his head, “I have no idea. I don’t know why she asked me.”

He looked back to see the Captain being surrounded by girls as they sung to him. The local performers. They seemed incredibly pretty as they were in corsets that thinned their waists and made their hips the focus of their body along with their blossoming bosoms. They sang about Bangtan Island and the hope and riches it brought. Captain was paying so much attention to them that he looked like he was in a trance.

Yoongi took a sip, “Have you written anything while down there? Anythin’ we can look forward to?”

“Well, I did write, but they all flew out of the window while I was asleep. There was nothing to keep them still down there. I’ll probably make something sooner or later. Might focus more on dance.”

Jimin smiled, “Yay! I missed my dance partner.” He looked around and his smile fell. “It feels so empty without the others.”

“A lot of them were assholes.”

“Still. Some of them were just led astray into asshole life, but they were good men.”

Hoseok scoffed, “An even better woman drowned, and they always bullied me. I feel no pity. Just sorta wished it had been more peaceful.”

This was a surprise coming from Hobi, the sunshine of the crew. The one that made everyone happy just with a short conversation and a smile. His two friends couldn’t understand how much he had been through in such a short period of time, and he didn’t try to explain. They just figured those guys had been meaner to him than they knew.

Captain Eumgyeong’s bass voice bellowed out, “A ROUND OF DRINKS FOR EVERYONE! Tonight we party in the name of beating death!”

Jaunty tunes played and Jimin got his friend to dance with him. Captain Eumgyeong bragged about them, gaining his own popularity. Drinks on drinks on drink were had and sobs turned into laughter and turned into drunken sobbing. Pretty girl and gorgeous boys and beautiful people of all sorts flirted with one another.

Right, they had to get new sailors. A small and scrawny boy about age 17 with a rabbit smile caught Jimin’s attention. He was a fisherman who had snuck into the bar with his friend Taehyung who had the idea in the first place since he was older.

One of the men working there as a chef seemed to have gained the favor of Cannonball and the Captain and was asked to come along. He said that he’d think about it since he wasn’t too appreciated here. A guy named Namjoon had come in and was known as the local tinker. He was always making new things, and and old friend of Yoongi. They caught up and was invited to join the voyage.

Hoseok was feeling much better, but he still decided to take a step outside and get some fresh air since it smelled pretty rank in there. As he started on his walk, he thought he saw (Y/N) again. He couldn’t help but run after her through the cobblestone streets. Around all the corners, he followed the slight glow that trailed behind her.

She stopped in front of the sea and waited for him, a red glow from a local party contrasting the natural blue of the night. It was her. It was definitely her.

“It really is you.”

“Hi, Hobi.”

“A lot of men died.”

“Wasn’t my decision. They were bad ones anyways.”

He nodded. She wasn’t wrong. In the pale moonlight, he scales twinkled.

“You’re not human, are you?” He asked.

She shook her head, “Nope.”

“You’re a mermaid.”

“A sister of the sea. Yes.”

“How?”

She held his hands and put her forehead against his.

This Captain had been her lover since they were teenagers. He trusted her with everything he had. Most of her men did, too. Anyone who dare challenge him was killed or threatened. You were the love of his life.

“We sail together, or we drown together my dear. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere without you in life or death.” He kissed you while sailing under the precious full moon.

Then a horrible storm approached and they turned on you and the other women that resided on the ship. It was just a rumor that the sea gave bad luck to ships with female passengers, but it was one that her lover believed after they rescued flailing sailors.

Still, he stood there, feather in his hat, patch on his eye and said it wasn’t his fault the sea demanded her as a sacrifice. What he meant was that it wasn’t your fault he loved the sea more than you. He wanted to keep his men and his ship more than he wanted you. So the man who had spread the poison jabbed his sword at the women.

“I always thought that we’d drown together my love.”

He looked away and the women decided anything was better than to be where they were now. They welcomed the icy embrace of the unforgiving ocean. He would kill them swift if he really wanted them. Instead, they were held in warmth and untied as they died and their lungs filled with the sea’s essence.

Instead of complete death, the ocean was calm this far down and kissed them awake. Their legs stayed bound, but they became something more than legs as the rope was taken away by an invisible presence. They could breath now. You could breathe now. The ocean was a part of you, and you were a part of it.

“Maybe we won’t drown together, but you surely will, my so-called love.”

Hoseok gasped, “I’m so sorry.”

“Don’t be.” Her eyes had an iridescent shine to them as well, “I really do like you. My past is just that. I want my future to be with you. Will you join me?”

Again, he refused. I like you too, but I can’t do that. I’m sorry.”

She furrowed his brows, “I can only ask you this once more before we can never be together again.”

“Then don’t ask again. I don’t belong in the sea, (Y/N). I belong on it.”

She smiled sadly and swallowed, “If that’s what you believe, then I shall not ask again. See you soon, Hoseok.”

And she left to swim in the sea, leaving behind footprints that glowed blue in the night time sand.

BTS Fanfic Recommendations

Ok, so I don’t know if it’s considered weird to hype up other people when you write fan fiction and basically turn the attention away from yourself but IDK because I’ve been dying to share all my favorite fanfics with you guys! I hope you enjoy this, most (if not all) of these will be on AO3! A few will be from here, here being Tumblr. I’m such a dork, omg don’t look at me! But read! Read these beauties and leave me be!!!!! 😂Also, I’ll be putting warnings beside the ones that have smut/BDSM/or anything else that’s weird. A lot of these will have smut because for a long time I was really insecure about writing smut so I tended to read books that advertised it in order to know what the hell I was actually writing.

My thoughts — omg, where do I begin? God this book was so beautiful. The character development! The plot! The ROMANCE! AH! It was such a perfect work of art! I never felt bored like at all and normally I get bored pretty easy on long chaptered books like this! She’s also getting the book published! (With different character names obviously and it’s like super edited.) I don’t know what else to say other than GO READ THIS!!! SHE IS THE QUEEN OF YOONMIN!! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Hidden Omega

Author — LadyPrussia

Pairing — Namjoon Centric

Rating — Explicit (there’s smut in this so tread carefully)

Description — At 21 Namjoon still hasn't presented leaving him as a dud, with the BTS pack having their own issues and not treating him like a real member a tragic event forces Namjoon's body to present as an omega. Is it really too late for BTS to win Namjoon's heart? Or will one of the 4 other packs steal it instead? Or maybe a darkhorse will appear.

My Thoughts — this book is great! Not only is it super long (over eighty chapters) and still being updated, but the character development is super refreshing. Forewarning though, the author has said that there is a good chance Namjoon won’t end up in the Bangtan Pack but a different one, and originally that made me upset, but with the way she painted the story I actually don’t care what Pack he ends up with; their all beautiful and it’s an amazing book! Lots of drama and angst for you angst lovers out there!

No Spell can Cure Shyness

Author — MissterMaia (seriously — I love her)

Pairing — Yoonmin, mentioned Namjin, Side Taekook

Rating — teens and up

Description — Yoongi really doesn’t expect the witchboy who sent him an accidental text to be the prettiest boy he's ever seen in all his life. Or the nicest. Or the kindest. Or just the best in every possible way. Painfully shy and (un)smooth as he is, Yoongi decides the best way to approach this Jimin person is in the form of a cat. A cat who can't talk. Great plan, Yoongi.

My Thoughts — The FLUFF!!! I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this book! All of this woman’s works are masterpieces that need to be appreciated! Yoongi is so shy it’s hilarious and he has the most extra reactions to like everything — and and I LOVE!!! YOU need to read it! Stop whatever your doing and go read it!

Saltation

Author — momora

Pairing — Yoonmin, side Taekook, and Namjin

Rating — explicit (there’s smut in this so tread carefully)

Description — Jimin had grown up watching his mother sort the point-oh-one percent beta defaults into the alpha-omega communities, but that doesn't make being a part of the statistic much easier. He'd be doing okay at this new omega thing if that watchful alpha Min Yoongi could stay out of the situation. He just wants to settle into his new life and finish his useless degree already. Instead, all hell breaks loose.

My Thoughts — This book is the one of the best a/b/o fics I have ever read in my entire life! Alpha’s and Omega’s live separate from Beta’s due to different instincts and Jimin was born in the beta community but presented as an omega. And it’s really funny because He keeps slipping up and doing/saying things that leave everyone else kind of like (0.0) The writing is fantastic! The characters are absolutely riveting as is the plot and the AUTHOR KEEPS TEADING ME ON TWITTER ABOUT HER NEXT UPDATE AND HOLY HELL IM BREAKING DOWN OVER HERE!!!

Jammed

Author — minverse

Pairing — Vmin, side Yoonseok, maybe Namjin?

Rating — explicit (there’s smut in this so tread carefully)

Description —The rational part of Jimin's brain screams at him to remember what his mother said about strangers and vans. But the rational part of his brain is no match for really bad whiskey and Kim Taehyung. ((au where Jimin gets stuck on the interstate in the middle of a blizzard and Taehyung lives in a van))

My Thoughts — this book! *wheezes from laughter* is so funny! Jimin is trying to make it to Yoongi and Hoseok’s wedding (which he is kind of dreading because Hoseok is trying to set him up with his own best man) and he gets stuck in a blizzard and boom there’s Taehyung! A renowned author that decided to live in his van and travel the world while writing his new book. This book was so funny you guys! I was dying, there was a smut scene and it was pretty great. The whole book was phenomenal and I loved it so much. Because I have literally no self control I’m gonna add a sneak peak.

NU ABO: A Memoir by Park Jimin

Description — The world didn't think it was necessary to give him a guide when it shoved all of these omega hormones at him, so here it is, Park Jimin's handbook on dealing with heats, unrequited love, and Jeon Jungkook.

My Thoughts — this book was so good! Omega’s are really rare and Jimin is so against the stereotypes put on omega’s and he is CONVINCED that Jungkook thinks of him as a tiny child that needs protection and he’s such a little ball of rage and god it’s so funny and he’s so sarcastic and furious that he’s being forced into this cutesy image (that he refuses to admit he likes) and it’s so cute and hilarious.

In Your Eyes

Author — TrappingLighteningBugs

Pairing — Jikook

Rating — Explicit (there’s smut and light dim/sub in this so tread carefully)

Description — On nights where everything seems against him, Jimin wishes he could take Jungkook down a few pegs.

My Thoughts — I originally read this because I was trying to expand my view on what a dom!Jimin would look like for my Bunny Breath book but I actually really liked this a lot. The characterization was good, it wasn’t like most smut oneshots where the characters go at with like literally no push and seems to be mildly dubious consent. This was well thought out and I enjoyed reading it.

A Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing

Author — blimpish

Pairing — Junghope

Rating — Explicit (there’s smut so tread carefully)

Description — When Jeongguk decides it's time to live out his fantasy of being knotted, he determines that Hoseok is the best (read: least awful) candidate for the job.

My Thoughts — I read this book because I’m a hoe for Junghope. But it’s really good! I remember feeling mildly dubious about it until I got to this really funny scene when Jungkook (a beta) asks Jimin (an omega)if he knows any alpha’s that wouldn’t be weirded out bu having sex with a beta and Jimin’s just like “I know three but your not gonna like it.” And after that it’s a hilarious conversation of them deciding which of their friends would be the least cringe worthy for Jungkook to sleep with. Jimin admits that Hoseok is great and it goes from there. BUT THERE IS A PLOT LINE!!! ITS NOT JUST SMUT!!

Unfamiliars

Pairing — Yoonseok (my library is mostly Yoonseok.)

Rating — Mature (I can’t remember if there’s smut and it’s a long book so I don’t want to go read through all of it. Fuck I totally will but that’s beside the point. Read the tags when you click on the link.)

Description — Hoseok rescues a kitty in a summer storm. Thanks to some weird magic, Yoongi is that kitty. In a tiny apartment full of plants and moonlight, a simple, aching happiness blooms. But with what Jungkook knows, how long can the happiness last?

My Thoughts — this is so cute! My Thoughts — this book is full of so much emotion and general truth. I love it so much, I cried several times when reading and admittedly geared up at the end. Hoseok was so sweet and patient and he had to literally teach Yoongi that it was ok to trust him and crap now I’m crying.

Take Me to the Edge

Rating — Explicit (there is smut and Don/sub undertones so tread carefully)

Description —Yoongi takes a pointed step backwards and glares at "Hobi". "What the fuck kind of name is that," he says, "and don't touch me." Namjoon makes a funny noise. Yoongi ignores it for the sake of eviscerating "Hobi" with his stare. It seems to be weirdly ineffective. Or Yoongi is hired to work Tech Support and Security for Jung Corp and it'd honestly be pretty chill if it wasn't for this one obnoxiously handsome dude whose life mission it seems to be to bother Yoongi until he breaks.

My Thoughts— I love this book. Yoongi is such an angry little bean and Hoseok literally just wants to make him happy — the Maknae Line are little shits but what’s new there? This whole book is amazing. I wish I could find a good Vmin/Vhope/Minjoon/Sugakookie book like this. *cries*

Our Burned Bridges

Author — tendershipping (nothing about her ships are tender! *sobs*)

Pairing — Vminkook (she’s the Vmin queen)

Rating — Mature (no smut but brutal themes so tread carefully)

Description —Agent Jeon Jeongguk is given a cover story and assigned to guard amnesiac Kim Taehyung. (Taehyung has nightmares most nights after he wakes, at first. He screams and cries names Jeongguk doesn’t recognize, always one in particular—Jimin.)

My Thoughts— I’m, I’m so EMOTIONAL!!! I read it and was a literal mess halfway through and IT JUST GOT MORE DARK and *chokes* Vmin we’re MARRIED and enter Jimin who seems so bitter and mean and sarcastic but he’s really just broken and angry about things and — go read this. It has a happy ending to so win win.

Snowy Memories Part I

Sawyer finds herself finally able to look into the illusive past of strange empire officer Ash Hawthorne.

CW: Implied Child Abuse, Death, Drinking (heavily/recreational) , murder, swearing, violence, warfare, weapons

Dragging a man through a snowy planet is not what most people thought they would end up doing on any given day. This is certainly not what Sawyer planned when she had started her morning on the Tangerine. A ship gaining its namesake from the paint job it’s pilot had given it. There had been a terrible battle that the ship had been part of over Illum. She had done everything that she could to get the rest of the crew out and to safety of a nearby rebel ship but she did not fair the same luck there. Where she did is that she came out of the crash to the planet unscathed. Nothing broken, plenty of harsh bruises but she could deal. It had caused her to notice the nearby imperial fighter that had crashed earlier into the battle. When she first headed towards it she didn’t know what drove her but when she found the unconscious body of Captain Hawthorne she knew why. Something about him had always drawn his and her fate to cross. He had the power of the force with him but that wasn’t the only perplexing thing about him. He had always been a strange officer to her. Causing intrigue about his life and today she was going to get her answers.

She finds a cave and is so glad that the imperial ship was well stocked enough with a small fire kit for emergencies. It wasn’t common and she wondered if that was another doing of the imperial officer. She calmly gets a fire started, no use in patching up the imp if he froze to death. She moves over to him to get a good look at his injuries. He has a cut on his forehead which is likely the cause of his current unconsciousness. Otherwise he seemed fine. No bleeding, at least externally. She hits him with a stim pack just in case to deal with anything internal and is glad that it’s not enough to wake him. She wants to see his past. While normally her visions would be limited to past events and feelings she was on Illum. She could feel the force flowing through her here. So, she calmly sets her hands on Hawthorne’s arm and tries to dial in on his past.

Sawyer pulls and tugs on the threads of Hawthorne's life. She’s not sure where to start as everything is open up to her. She guesses to make a start with Imperial bootcamp, looking for significant memories there.

There is a sinking feeling that comes to the surface. The feeling of concern and worry that comes from new people and new experiences. Walking down a long hall white walls on either side. Footsteps permeate behind him. Sawyer can feel the weight of the bag that he’s carrying with him and it feels almost too light for someone who was starting a new portion of their life. Especially someone as silver spooned as Hawthorne was. Hawthorne comes to a stop looking between the two doors then at the assignment papers and keys in his hands. He quickly swipes a key over the door panel. He almost seems surprised that someone else is already in the room but they were double bunks. The surprising feeling of attraction hits Sawyer. She would have never taken Hawthorne as someone like that. He’s a human and he looks like every other imp as far as Sawyer is concerned. Hawthorne has a hand touch his shoulder firmly, a reminder of something that sends him back into the feeling of dread. He looks up and Sawyer can only guess the hand comes from the older Hawthorn. A man she knew as an admiral these days. She never realized that the two might be related. If they are, the younger one does not look much like his father. There are implications to those that she notes down as to only making Hawthorne more and more complex.

“Hello,” The other boy smirks walking up. “I’m Korry Burkem.”

“Ash Hawthrone,” he offers up his hand and it’s taken for a friendly handshake. The hand leaves his shoulder and Ash looks over it, his father turning to leave.

“I see, got into the officer program on pure nepotism.”

Ash looks back at a harsh glare coming to his face, “I would watch your tongue.”

The man laughs, “That bad huh?”

Ash doesn’t understand how someone can be so jovial, insulting him, “What?”

“Well you seem pretty offended so either one of two things, you’re taking this way too seriously, you tried super hard and failed to get in on your own merit, or you were top of your class and take yourself way too seriously.” A mix of feelings overtook Ash, a prevelient one being shame. He turns away, stepping past the other to get into the room. “Oh… Hey, I’m sorry. Didn’t mean to actually touch a nerve there.”

Ash shakes his head, “Don’t worry about it.” He sets down the surprisingly small suitcase on the bed and throws it open. Inside was a data pad, soft black sheets, a blanket softer and blacker than the sheets, a week's worth of clothes, some personal care… and that was it. For someone who was so rich, so silver spooned he hadn’t packed a lot. Even the Jedi who were known for being anti-martialist would still have personal items, mementos, a hoby. Ash didn’t seem to have any of that. Sawyer searches his emotions trying to find something to explain.

There she found fear and uncertainty. Someone who didn’t know who he was or what he wanted to do. Someone who had been dragged through life in the shadow of his father. There was no joy or want to become an officer but it was the only thing that was expected of him.

Sawyer tries to go looking back wanting to see his pass but as she’s looking there is a sudden jerk of sickening motion. Swaying. She guessed this is what it was like to be drunk. Loud music pounds making it hard to hear anything and it takes her a moment to fix in on the convestation. Ash is enraptured with Korry. “Yeah I passed my flight exams with flying colors. You did well on yours too right?” A small nod as Ash’s attention drifts to the couple behind them, it was some sort of superior cadet if there was any guessing by rank. He was with some very pretty woman who had just gotten up temporarily it seemed. She headed towards the bathroom and Ash watched his mind drifting away from the conversation as he sees the cadet take something from his pocket and drop it into the unattended drink. He sucks in a breath quietly trying to focus on Korry again like he didn’t see anything. “You drifted, didn't you?”

Ash chuckles softly, “Sorry, I think I’ve had a little too much.”

“Luckily we’re walking back.”

“Yeah.” Ash smiles leaning forward into the bar. “It doesn’t matter what my scores were.”

“Right… the nepotism thing. You did good though, right?”

“Yeah, I’m one of the top in my classes, it's just…”

“All that work for nothing because that score would be the same no matter what.”

A small sigh, “Yeah…” Ash looks up, fidgeting his leg when he sees the girl come back smiling. She’s talking to the cadet but with the music he can’t hear her. Korry looks over his shoulder.

“What’s got you bothered over there? See something you like?”

“Ah-” Ash looks to Korry wondering how a man could be so oblivious to someone’s feelings before he stands up. “Give me a moment.” He scoots the chair out and heads over to the two just in the nick of time as the girl picks up the glass.

“Hey!” He gets a glare from the cadet. Clearly there is already some sort of animosity there. The girl does stop her drink looking unamused that her good time is being interrupted. “I wouldn’t drink that.” Ash motions with his hand towards the other man. “I saw him put something in it.” She looks to him, then to the cadet, then to where Ash was sitting.

“No, why would I have done something like that!?” The cadet looks worried and defensive as he puts his hands up. She puts the drink to the side and then gets up.

“I think I need to head home anyways. I had fun…” She sounds really unsure of if that was true now. Ash nods to her stoney faced as she walks away. She’s out of sight when Ash is pushed.

“The hell you think you’re doing Hawthorn!?”

Ash turns and huffs, keeping his posture, “Stopping you from getting court martialed.” He’s lying about his reasons.

“I don’t need some fucking junior to do that.”

“Then maybe don’t go putting things in womens drinks and get them to sleep with you the old fashioned way like the rest of us.” He’s smug for just a second before a punch comes across his face that sends him reeling. He stumbles backwards clutching at the side of his head where the impact was.

“Watch your mouth.’”

Korry is between them in a second, “Hey let’s break it up.” He pulls his arm around Ash pulling him to the side as he’s suddenly gone pale. “Ash, you’re drunk come on let’s get out of here.” He looks over his shoulder glaring at the other cadet to drop it. He’s pulled out of the bar and the scene shifts.

It’s clearly later that night and by the familiar feeling of sick in Ash, it’s after a period of throwing up his guts. They’re back in that same room from before. He’s sitting on Korry’s side which even out of the peripheral was colorful and decorated with model ships and pin up posters of several popular imperial cruisers. Across from him is his own side. Even after being lived in it looks so empty and put together. Korry comes into the room, a cloth in his hand. He sits up next to Ash pressing it gently into his face. “Sorry about tonight,” Ash mumbles out.

“Don’t worry about it. It takes guts to do something like that around here. Standing up to a superior. You are going to make yourself super unpopular though.”

“I know,” Ash groans. “Too bad you didn’t get to go home with anyone like you wanted.”

“Would have been awkwards anyways,” Korry laughs, smiling. “Besides I technically did get to go home with you.” Ash looks at him, in his state he can’t tell if Korry is just joking or joking with meaning behind it.

“What?”

Korry shakes his head, “Come on Ash I’m not oblivious.” The other turns his head away knowing that this can not lead to anything good no matter the outcome. “Hey, don’t be like that.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Really?” Korry smirks, leaning forward. “So it wouldn’t cause anything to happen if I did this.” He moves Ash’s face with the hand already pressed into it so he’s facing him and gives a soft kiss to his lips. Ash can’t help himself as he melts, kissing back and leaning forward. Ash keeps close after Korry pulls back, taking in a deep breath. He’s trying to stay calm.

“Please tell me you meant it.”

“I did.”

They’re older now but they’re snuggled up together in the same small room. The posters have all been taken down from Korry’s side and with the boxes and bags it was clear that this wouldn’t be their home for long. “Do you ever think about running away?”

Ash pauses and he looks up to Korry, “No we have duties to fulfill.”

“Come on, don't you think we could be out there doing good?”

“What better good could there be than serving the empire?”

“...I trust you…” Ash looks over to him knowing that he was going to regret what he heard next. “I’ve been doing some research…”

“Korry-” Ash knows that something is wrong deep in the pit of his stomach but he’s scared. Scared of being wrong, scared of leaving himself in a bad position, scared of dying.

“Listen I know what it could cost me but listen… I don’t think we’re being told the truth about everything. I think the Empire is doing some massive injustices and they’re being covered up. Hell, with your work you’ve seen some of it.”

“Stop. We’re not having this conversation.” Ash moves away from Korry and quietly gets up.

“Come on, you have to know-”

“Stop. Even if I did believe you. Defecting would cost us our lives. It’s not worth it. We wouldn’t have anywhere to go.”

“But-”

“Drop it.”

The feeling of fear of loss meld into the next memory, Ash has to be older now. He’s standing on the bridge of a ship looking out at the battle that is going on. Sawyer remembers this battle. It was a couple of years ago when the empire was having a skirmish with the rebellion. They won taking down an entire freight ship but all of their small squads were taken out. Letting a lot of the smaller ships get away with Civilians. She was somewhere helping with that right now. Ash on the other hand was on coms standing alone on the bridge. Doubt lingers in his gut, fear, pain, worry muddled with it. “Give the order,” Voice in his ear goes off.The voice gives to feelings of hate and anger. He moves back over to the control systems clutching the edge of them watching the little blips on radar. “Ashlynn, do not make me give the order.” Something wet hit’s his face. He’s crying.

There is another long pause before Ash presses his com button and speaks his voice unnervingly calm, “Target the main ship.”

One com link blinks up labeled as white squadron lead, “Sir are you sure?” It was Korry’s voice.

“It’s an order white squad.” Sawyer knew that that turned the battle and Ash knew how many people he had just gotten killed. The only hope that he had was that Korry would make it out alive.

“You killed him!” Anger, extreme hate comes though and Sawyer wants to flinch away from the extreme emotions.

“He died in the line of duty which was probably for the best.” Admiral Hawthorne now in full view was certainty Ash’s father and the voice matched the one giving orders from earlier. He stares cold at the anger he has been faced with.

“There were better ways to win that fight! One that would have gotten less men killed!”

“Probably,” His father muses. “Not one that would have taken out the freighter.”

Ash turns away, “Just get out of here unless you plan on marshalling me.”

There is a long moment of silence between the two men before the Admiral speaks, “Korry was found with illegal materials inside of his bunk when it was cleared out.” Ash tenses his shoulders trying to control his emotions. “Did you know anything about his doubts? He would have likely betrayed us if he had not died in the line of duty.”

“No sir, I didn’t have any idea.” Ash is lying.

“No sense in crying over a traitor.”

“No sir, of course not sir.” He wipes his eyes, straightens his posture but deep down it hurts. It hurts more than any open wound to say something like that.

“Now you have an hour to collect yourself before the congratulations dinner we’re being offered.”

“Of course sir.”

Sawyer was sure that would have been enough for most people, it should have been enough. Doubts of the empire linger through flashes of passing days. She doesn’t get to see much but sees Ash passing out blankets, clothes, and rations to those on the streat. An odd behavior but she was here because of the way Ash was. The next memories settle with the smell of jungle fauna and alcohol. Ash is sitting at a bar, not an empire one. It looks rather touristy but Sawyer isn’t sure where it is. He’s drinking though it doesn’t seem to be too excessive. He finishes one whisky and puts up his drink for another. As he does, someone of some sort of bird race sits next to him and Sawyer knows who this is. A padawan that she was aware of some time ago known for her two handed lightsaber in a goldy color. The race was distinct enough to be memorable. Kari that was her name. “Haven’t seen you around here before.”

There is a small moment, something of recollection even if neither of them know each other. It’s the pull of the force and the acknowledgement of other users. “No, I’ve just been recently assigned.”

“Well your attitude is better than some of the past guys.”

Ash looks over to her wondering if she was serious to talk so braisently about the empire, but they need the people here to like them. There is a feeling there of understanding of why he was out here. He was good at getting people to like him. Then the back feeling of resentment to being shoved onto some far off planet to stay out of the way. He smirks, taking a long drink from his newly refilled glass. “Yeah well, I haven’t seen you around either.”

“I’m a hunter. I only come into town every couple of days. I have a home out in the woods.” Ash is already suspicious of her. He knows her race and their history. She shouldn’t be here.

“Long way from home.”

Kari just smiles, “Eh, I wouldn’t consider the planet that I’m from home.” There is a small nod from Ash he understands the sentiment.

A feeling of friendship blooms as more time passes. Sawyer is then thrown shattered by the panic of betrayal. It’s evening sun is setting and Ash is watching Kari. She is shielding a little girl from a piece of crumbling building, her arm up and the piece of stone and mortar is floating in the air. The girl is wide eyed in fascination before she scoots away, Kari moves as well keeping the rock suspended. “I won’t tell your mom you were around here if you don’t tell anyone what you saw okay?” The girl gives a sheepish nod running the opposite direction of where Ash is standing. Kari sets the debris down carefully before she looks over to see Ash. She freezes before bolting off into the forest.

“Wait!” Ash calls after her before taking off after her.

Ash was surprisingly good at running through the forest but Kari had lived in these woods. She was faster but Ash was able to keep up following his hearing and something else that he couldn’t explain leading him to her. He is soon met with a Thundein, a smaller version of a fathier but with the added defense of electric charges that would discharge off it’s spine. Ash quickly stumbles back falling to the ground, taken off guard as it sparks and snarls at him. Kari is above in a nearby tree. “Ash, leave.”

He looks up to her trying to go back to his cool demeanor. “What exactly is your plan?”

“I don’t know.” She admits sitting down looking defeated. “I didn’t think anyone was around let alone you.”

Ash slowly stands bushing off his pants taking a good step away from the still snarling creature, “I’m not going to turn you in.”

She looks down before rolling her eyes and not meeting his, “I’m not stupid Ash.”

“You saved Kwasi. If you didn’t step in she would have been flattened.” He watches as the Thunderin lowers the hair down it’s spine. “I would hate to explain to a mother that I’m detaining the person who saved her daughter because of how they saved her.” Kari looks over him searching. “You have to be more careful in the future. I can be lenient but I can not say the same thing for my fellow officers.” He turns away heading back towards the town.

“Captain Hawthorne.” Ash is exhausted, overworked looking at the pile of paperwork he had on his desk. It looked like it was getting the planet he was on ready for some kind of command base. He looks up the man addressing him is a commander a couple of ranks higher than him.

“Commander,” Ash nods.

“What do you know about the Sathari in town?”

“Kari?” Ash asks in earnest on the outside but panic swells on the inside.

“You know her name?”

“She’s friendly at the bar when she comes into town.” Ash justifies.

“I see…” The commander turns his head looking over to the smattering of accommodations. “I hear you are a very good interrogator.”

“That’s correct…my methods aren’t orthadox by any means.”

“That’s all very fine…I need you to interrogate her.”

“What? Why?”

“I spotted her in the woods hunting and using abilities that are… frowned upon by the empire. I suspect her to have relations with the traterious Jedi.”

Ash sits back in shock, “I would have never thought...her? Are you sure?”

“Quite.” He nods before getting up.

“One condition.” An eyebrow is raised. “I need full access to the cameras.” A nod of agreement and a smirk. “I assume you have already called the inquisitors as well.”

“Yes but we can save them some time…”

Ash looks up paranoidly checking the camera light to make sure it wasn’t on. He glances over to Kari who is looking down sitting cross legged on her bed. “I didn’t sense anyone out there…” She shakes her head, tears falling down her beak. Ash sighs and he looks back behind him at the door which was still slightly open thoughts were racing through his head about how he could get him and her out of this situation.

“I’m sorry.”

“Ash you can not let the inquisitors take me or get to my things.” Ash pauses and he looks over her , inhaling a breath.

“There isn’t a way I can get you out of here and guarantee that.”

“I know.” Ash shakes his head. “You know where my home is correct?”

“Yes.”

“My lightsaber is there. I told the commander I didn’t have one. He didn’t seem to believe me but…”

“Kari…” Ash knows what she is implying with all of this. “There has to be another way.”

“Not one with a guarantee. If I get brought to the inquisitors there is no guarantee that you will come out without at least an investigation. Not only that but I know things. Locations of other Jedi… I can’t let that knowledge fall into the hands of the inquisitors. Please.”

“We’re going to have to make it look believable.” Ash turns his head putting his hand on his belt where his blaster pistol was.

“Please tell me you’re a good shot.”

Ash gives a desperate chuckle, “Don’t worry about that.”

“Please promise me that you’ll keep my things safe.”

“I will do everything in my power Kari.”

“Okay, get ready to duck.” She motions to the panel behind him. Ash moves in a second ducking out of the way of the panel that comes barreling off the wall and towards his head. Then it is one shot to the center of her chest. It isn’t too long before the commander comes in yelling. The rest of the memory is lived through but it’s a numb blur.

There is a fear that is only felt when death is a certainty. Ash is struggling with that fear as a lightsaber is threatened. There Sawyer is looking back at herself cloaked in the harsh lights of the small imperial base and the soft blue light of her lightsaber. Then there is something realized by her causing her face to shift. “I would never expect an imp like you to be strong in the force.” Ash still has that fear to him but confusion starts to set in. His brows furrow as his mind starts racing His ability to lie, his connection to Kari, his ability to know when something bad was going to happen. Something suddenly clicked but the revelation itself was terrifying. He knew better than anyone what the fate of those who had connection to the force would be. There is no change in his facial expression but Sawyer remembered feeling his distress in that moment. “You didn’t know?” Ash just keeps an icy glare at her. Sawyer wasn’t sure why she had stepped away from Ash and didn't kill him. She wasn’t sure if it was the force in general or if it was Ash’s own powers forcing her away. Either way a strong relief comes over the officer as she turns and runs to meet with her companions.

2017 - part 2

12 Feb 2017 – “You never walk alone” preview show. Who’s JM’s little cutie?

14 Feb 2017 – JM Twitter post – the boys with matching jackets. I know. I said not Twitter, but sometimes rules are made to be broken.

17 Feb 2017 – Hobi’s birthday. JM to JK: “stop coming to our room at night.” There’s something about JM throwing JK under the bus time after time. It’s like he enjoys to see JK squirm.

22 Feb 2017 – Gaon Chart K-pop chart – JK ushering Hobi to another seat, so that JK can sit behind JM. JM turning around see this, rolls his eyes and smirks.

Another one of my favourites. A perfect example for both boys hesitance, wanting to touch, but just not getting there.

JM putting arm behind JK, but holding on to wall behind, and then matter of factually laying it on JK’s shoulder.

Prior to JM brushing JK’s hand with his thumb, JK’s hand is heart signing to JM.

The minute JM moves his hand away, you see how the expression on JK’s face changes, then he rubs his hand where JM touched him.

24 Feb 2017 fan meet – are they in actual F… sending flying kisses to each other?

25 Feb 2017 MBC music core comeback – JK moving Hobi aside, so that JK can stand behind JM. JK being JM’s number 1 fanboy.

26 Feb 2017 – Wings – you never walk alone fan sign. Really JM? What was that neck grab and what exactly were you doing there???? No, I don’t believe he kissed JK’s neck, but it sure was ‘out there’, so much so that Jin was in total shock when it happened. JK was surprised by it, and I think that even JM was shocked by his own actions waling aimlessly in what seems like the wrong direction .

28 Feb 2017 Run BTS episode 12. This one for me was cringe worthy, at some points I felt like an actual intruder. JK the detective and JM the prisoner. JK whacking JM on the behind (remember JK is the younger – how bold). JM’s private dance for JK. I know the episode was mostly scripted, but I seriously think JM was surprised by that smack to his behind. Also, the way JK was looking at JM when he was dancing all heart hands for him.

12 March 2017 - Wings tour Santiago Chile

Santiago day 2 – JK suffers from exhaustion. As he is taken back stage to a treatment room, JM is the one to race after the team into the room.

JM is in the treatment room when the cameras come in. He is standing there, and later, as the other members are walking in, JM is by JK’s side, helping the medical team lift up one of his legs.

The rest of the members come in together to see how JK is doing, and when the medical team suggest to take off JK’s pants, all the members leave the room. All except for JM, who stays there with JK the whole time.

JM leaves the room only together with JK, after he feels better and is able to walk out of the room on his own two feet.

Wouldn’t you expect RM, being the leader and all, to be the one by JK’s side? Or J-Hope maybe? Wouldn’t that have made more sense under the circumstances? Why JM?

Because, clearly JM is the one JK feels closest to, the one he can be himself with freely, the one he doesn’t feel embarrassed or needs privacy from.

JM may not have been a family member, but he was the closest thing to it. JM to JK is and was his home, his safe place, and most certainly the one to be by his side when he was in distress.

3rd April 2017 – BTS Front row live entertainment interview – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UotjcB_X4ag . What happened there?

This one intrigues me. I watched and re-watched the full interview several times, and for the life of me I can’t see what happened there between JM and Hobi that triggered JK’s reaction? JM’s placating look at JK, like telling him nothing happened… this one is used a lot to create the JK jealous narrative, and to be honest, I really don’t know what happened there. When JK turns back, JM looks into the camera with an uneasy gaze.

After that, most of the time, JM looks lost in his thoughts, not happy. Towards the end they are asked what artist they would want to collaborate with, and Suga’s answer makes them all burst out in laughter, all accept for JM. When he is asked and answers, you also see he is unhappy. You can easily see something is bothering him. JM just wasn’t his happy own self. He looked pensive. BTS did several interviews and had a concert that day, so maybe he was just tired or wound up, but he just wasn’t acting like himself.

And when JM runs up to slap Taemin in the butt, JK sees this, averts his head, and just keeps walking off the stage. He is clearly upset. Besides the obvious faces he makes, not waiting for Jimin when walking off stage is not something he usually does. Was it jealousy? Was it just a disliking of Taemin specifically? And if he dislikes Taemin, why is that? We can’t know.

I couldn’t find the actual date of this interview, but it was uploaded end of August 2017. I really enjoyed this one. Everyone talks about JK’s “arrest me” JM mishap during this interview. The members reactions are to die for.

Also, JK’s reaction when JM said he wanted to collab with Suga (watch from 7:58min), was like:

Summer package 2017 – released August 2017.

JK and JM being all playful by the pool. JK letting us know how adorable JM is to him when he is swimming doggy style in the pool.

The one that stands out to me, though, is the ‘dream catcher necklace saga’. Felt a little uneasy to see that one, like I was witness to a lover’s tiff.

The boys were given a budget each to purchase themselves a gift. They are taken together to a gift shop, where they check the merchandise out and each buy themselves a little souvenir. When they all sit down to show each other their gifts, that’s when this moment happens.

JK takes out his gift. I once again want to emphasize, this is a gift he bought with his budget for himself. He explains it’s a dream catcher and says he will put it in his room.

JM, sitting next to him, takes it from JK and says: “this is a necklace Jungkook-ssi”.

JK blurts out adamantly that he won’t hang it around his neck.

This is when things get awkward, because you can see JM is clearly upset, throws the necklace back at JK and says: “OK, then”.

JM has a dream catcher necklace around his neck too, and when it’s his turn to tell what gift he bought himself he takes the necklace off and gives it to V, saying he bought the gift for V, who had a nightmare last night.

After JM’s mini tantrum JK, who previously adamantly professed he will not put it around his neck, does everything he can to put the necklace on, finally turning to JM to help him put the it on, which he does.

Later on, while sitting for the personal interview, with the necklace around his neck, he tells us how from now on he won’t have nightmares.

What did I get from all that?

Clearly JM was pissed at JK’s reaction. Why? JK clearly bought this by himself for himself.

But did he? Was it something he chose for himself, or was it something JM suggested to him?

JM also bought a dream catcher. Was that a coincidence? For some reason, I don’t think so.

My theory is that the dream catcher is something JM suggested or wanted JK to buy for himself, and JK reluctance to wear it offended him. JM clearly bought the other dream catcher for V. Perhaps he wanted both his boys to have one, and to him, JK’s comment felt as a rejection.

The way JK reacted to JM, his immediate change of attitude towards the necklace, trying to put it on, when only a second earlier he said he won’t put this around his neck, shows how attuned he was to JM, how he immediately realised he did something wrong, something to upset JM, and how he tried, in his own way, to atone for it, by wearing the same thing he but seconds ago rejected.

This brings me back to the point I made about the boys relationship, and them finding the balance. A perfect example to how there will still be conflict, but how JK realises, immediately, that he had done wrong and what he has done wrong, and immediately sets to right the wrong, hence to restore that balance.

As for your question I have touched upon this subject many times, and yes I personallythink there could be a reason behind Vmin not doing Vlives together anymore.

As you say they tend to relax and forget the people (and the camera) when they are together, and I think they are both aware of this, and thus tries to avoid it. I think they constantly have to hold back, and that makes things awkward especially when they are live and can’t edit the clip. One examplefrom the Yeontan Vlive is how Jimin leaves, but he says “If…” but stops himself. Why does he stop himself, feeling the need to be discreet when the live is on? Though I might be reading too much into it, it just feels a bit private.

Taehyung answers with “I’ll call you if I need you” and Jimin goes to hang out with their producer. Jimin is there waiting for Taehyung to finish his Vlive, but he doesn’t intend to be in it. He uses the excuse of only being there to “deliver Yeontan”.

Of course he shows up anyways, walking back and forth he comes off as almost restless. And of course when he does interact with Tae it’s basically flirting. So, yes, that Vlive and then one with Namjoon makesit look like they have a hard time keeping themselves in check, and so they rather avoid being together live at all.

I personally have a hard time thinking of any other reason why they wouldn’t that makes sense. Because let’s say that it’s awkward and they avoid Vlives because they are on bad terms or simply feel awkward with each other because they aren’t as close as we think. If things were weird between Vmin for that long, surely either they would have gotten over it by now, or there would be other indicators that they for example weren’t close or had fallen out. But things like Taehyung’s letter, Jimin comforting Tae and many many other examples directly contradict this. So, again, if something changed in Vmin’s relationship that made them stop doing Vlive together, I don’t think it’s something negative.

Maybe I should save this for the proper analysis I want to do, but I really really want to talk about this, so I will anways.

I mean, for me I think the fact that Vmin used to do lives (and other videos, tweets etc.) often but then stopped is kind of odd. They basically had more Vlives together thanalone, and definitely the most out of all the “pairs”. But then they all started doing more solo Vlives, so there is that.

But Vmin didn’t just stop making Vlives like they used to, they also started to “pusheach other away” from Vlives, and that was weirder. Though they kept mentioningeach other a lot.

And then thirdly they keep talking about wanting to do it together or asking each other, and yet they don’t. It almost looks like some weird excuses to me at this point. Because why not just do one together if you keep saying you want to?

This is another topic I plan to make a proper longer analysis for, but in short terms I can say that the last proper full Vlive Vmin had alone together was in march 2016. That was their fourth one with just the two of them, and then they also had some more with other members being there, like the Hope on the street where Tae joined later, or Jimin, Tae, Hobi, and Jungkook in the car etc. In all of them they seem very close and comfortable with each other.

So, maybe they just became more comfortable with doing them solo? But again, as you say I can’t help but speculate if it might be another reason than that behind Vmin stopping doing Vlives. And I say that based on their behavior.

Funnily enough the last Vlive they did had some pretty interesting things in it, despite being so short. It’s the one where Tae strips and pretends to take off his pants in front of Jimin. Now I want you all to remember this was live, and Jimin wasn’t prepared. But, it wasn’t actually fully a candid moment because Taehyung was obviously aware that they were live.

They even say it themselves later.

They also reveal they were likely sharing a room. Which is something I think they did all the time basically. (Another analysis I’m working on.)

Anyways, all the times Vmin did Vlive alone together (and even if they weren’t alone) they were basically extremely touchy and close, basically laying on top of each other in some. They also kept mentioning each other when they did Vlives alone, but then again, after that Vlive they never made one alone again (unless you count the one with Yeontan).

Not I know I might be repeating myself, but the reason I find this odd are because of how they acted in the Vlives after they stopped doing it together. Because looking at the three following Vlives where they interacted, they actually tried to make the other leave. Or if it was in solo vlives they said things like “I asked if V wanted to do it, but he said no.” And sure, maybe they rather wanted to do it alone, but what makes me confused here is that this happened several times. People even speculated if they had issues with eachother because they seemed almost rude with wanting the other person to leave, and it seemed it was mostly just between them and not other members.

Even in Paris last year, where Taehyung says Jimin asked to do it together but Taesaid he wanted to do it alone. And yet Hobi shows up to the Vlive. Or now recently where Taehyung sent a text and apparently Jimin replied saying he wanted to do it, but Taehyung thought JK might not “let him leave”. It just seems weird that they keep coming up with reasons not to do Vlive together. Even if they “ask each other to do it” they end up not for one reason or another.

On top of this we have the few times where they do end up on Vlive together that I also find really interesting. For example the Yeontan Vlive and the Rkive Vlive. Both times they keep being touchy, but they also alternate between trying to avoid each other in different ways. It’s honestly odd to watch. My analysis “Vmin - Push and Pull” mention some of these odd moments in other places as well.

I mean, even when they crashed the JK vlive and everyone kept making it about other ships no one seemed to realize that in it, firstly Vmin showed up together, secondly Jimin mentioned sharing a room with Taehyung despite them usually being alone at this time in their career and then Taehyung even says to Jimin “Let’s go sleep.“

Basically I personally think Vmin’s behavior at Vlives is something rather strange, and the pattern from a lot of Vlive moments seem to be that they try to avoid being on live alone because their behavior or the things they say can sometimes risk revealing too much.

I think that something might have changed in 2016 that made Vmin more careful. It could be the group’s popularity, it could be Big Hit getting involved or they perhaps justdecided to be more careful and private with what they show. I don’t really know why, but it seems something could have changed if we look at all these things together.

I know some people think it might be because of other ships, and maybe it is, but then why would it only affect how Vmin behave with each other? Why would it still affect them, even after several years? And in combination with other things, like how they behave with the Push and Pull or how the other members seem to friendzone them etc. I personally think it’s possible that after Bon Voyage in Scandinavia, and Taehyung’s struggle during Hwarang etc. that Vmin either got closer in a way that changed how they behave and what they want to show. Or they perhaps decided to tell others about it and outside influence made them try to be more careful. I don’t know, but these are two ideas I have as possible explanations.

And again, when I say they got closer it doesn’t have to be a hidden romantic relationship, they can have other reasons for wanting to be more private.

Either way I definitely think there could be one or several reasons behind why Vmin doesn’t really do Vlives together any more. In general they seem to have gotten more private, yet closer, and this narrative fits with how they seem to behave in regards to Vlives as well.

I know some members never have had Vlives together, but Vmin used to do it a lot, and that’s why I think it’s still worth looking into it.

Basically here are the patterns I’ve seen with Vmin that in combination makes me wonder about the reasons why they behave like this and if there is a reason behind them not being on vlive together anymore despite clearly still being very close and having a good relationship.

1. After 2016 they basically stopped being live together alone.

2. Yet they kept mentioning each other a lot, and kept saying they want to do vlives or that they asked the other to do a vlive but got rejected. (I can’t think of any other members rejecting someone to do a vlive with them, not wanting to be on one themselves sure, but not refusing someone that seemingly wants to to be on with them.)

3. They have several times had what looks like excuses for why the other can’t or won’t do a vlive with them. Or excuses why they are on them. Like leaving Yeontan or delivering the phone to make the vlive.

4. They have been with other members alone and then it seems to be fine.

5. The times they have been on vlive together after their last proper one in 2016 they have on many occasions tried to make the other one leave a vlive they are in or pushed each other away (like in the Rkive vlive).

6. When we have seen them in Vlives they seem to shift between being awkward or forgetting there is a camera there.

So, indeed at least personally I think there is something off with Vmin in regards to Vlives. My theory is that they know they can’t fully trust themselves while being on live together where they can’t edit out things and thus it’s easier to simply try and avoid it completely.
