possibly a weird question, so feel free to ignore/delete this, but how do you think of uh… spicier things to draw? it’s not something i often feel like doing, but when i do it’s so hard to come up with ideas for situations or positions i want to put characters in 😵‍💫

or if you just don’t want to answer that specifically, then a similar but different question: how do you find inspiration/ideas for what to draw in a more general sense?

i love your art so much! the texture is so lovely and i adore how you draw so many characters fat and hairy ❤️ seeing people that look like me in art is always a treat

Not weird to me at all, I'm happy to answer a question on spicy art making!! 🥳👏✨✨✨ Unfortunately I feel like there's just too many things to say on the topic, but I'll do my best to narrow down what I think might be helpful! 🙏💖

So I feel like if you're just starting out and not sure what to draw at first, just drawing sensual naked people is a great starting point! If drawing a full body is too much - don't! You can just focus on points that you're interested in and crop the framing! Not only can it be more visually engaging to crop the image, but it's also way less daunting than just having a full body to draw on a page. It's crazy how suggestive even a bust or just a portrait can be!

From there, start adding other sensually naked people to the image if you want to move from a solo session. If you're not sure what to do for a specific pose/position, just having them draped over each other works! Holding from behind, pulling hair, etc. there's a lot of different things you can try out! And from there you can start adding more detailed elements that you want to try (maybe bondage, toys, background, whatever you're into! The world's your oyster)!

And as a note for brainstorming when drawing two characters/ocs, I feel like so much of the fun comes out of thinking how would these characters act in a sexual situation. Asking yourself questions like "Would one character be more flustered than another? What are their fantasies? What sort of position would they get into if they started making out in a chair? Etc. etc." And just thinking about potential situations is great for brainstorming as well!

So to reiterate: start small! Draw a sensual naked hottie! Draw a bunch of them! And as you draw more, think about what sort of feeling they might be trying to convey. Maybe they're embarrassed but horny and trying to cover themselves, maybe they're inviting and taunting? From there, add another person! How would they interact? How would one of the characters want to be treated by the other? What's the dynamic like? And just have fun with it!

I feel like sometimes trying to think of something for specific characters/a situation might be daunting to tackle! But drawing one babe being naked and horny is always a great place to start! 👏💖

I hope this was helpful anon! I feel like there's just SO many things you can do with sauce art, so I have a hard time narrowing down my answer! But I wish you all the best in your spice journey! Remember that just like with any other art-making, thinking about what to draw will get easier and more comfortable with practice! You got this! ^ w ^ 👏💕💕💕

marius - VAMPIRE MARIUS ONCE AGAIN HES JUST FUN. hes just fun and the aesthetic suits him. i cant wait to draw him in a fun little cape with one of those big dramatic collars you know the ones. vampire marius is of course @ alientoastt’s idea!!

nastya - BANSHEE...or ghost in general but there some banshee stuff i feel could be fun to integrate. apparently in some tellings banshees can turn into crows? i love that very much. but anyways hmm..some notes abt the design in thsi post shes not quite where i want her to be. this was done on that collab canvas the other day and like...was mostly noodling things out having fun, those flamey looking bits are a very nice motion very fun to do but NOT wwhat i want for ghostya. i want her to be more. drippy. very drowned person vibes. fire and upward-floating motif not what i want. but it was fun to draw. also i think theres some potential comedy in there with “person who predicts deaths” among crew who habitually murder each other

raphaella - SOMEWHERE BTWN HARPY & SIREN (the bird kind not the mermaid kind) very excited abt her. lots of fun potential poses here. doing her design was a bit tricky- sirens tend to be just like- big birds with human heads? but i didt wanna do just that that takes away too much of her design recognizbility yknow to Just have her head. so she has a people torso, bird from the waist down, plus her arms are wings. which means she has Two pairs of wings. which i for one think is incredibly fun like you remember in httyd2 valka’s dragon w the four wings? yeah. also avent figured what bird in particular shell be based on- for the ufrry au i went w african grey parrot but dont feel like that here. ill think on it

tim - WEREWOLF TIM DUH. DUH. also i think werewolves are especially funny in scenarios like thse cus like- okay everybody suddenly ahhh cursed ahh monster whatever. but then tims just there like. i mean i feel fine lol and u get to have the fun surprise of Oh Suddenly Werewolf. also the question of how exactly werewolves who change based on the moon function in a. spaceship. i like to think its entirely fucking random i think thats funny

I want to talk about W’s alt outfit, because Hypergryph broke into my house and replaced all the chemicals in which my brain floats and thrives with W Thoughts.

In general, alt outfits are flashier, distinct, sometimes festive, sometimes casual, always striking. A joke among fans of the game is calling Hypergryph a music company instead of a game company due to the various collaborations with established artists from outside the usual faces of the game industry for music for the game, and likewise, another joke is calling Hypergryph a fashion agency due to the grounded, stylish approach it takes regarding skins/alt outfits: The majority of them are outfits you could perfectly wear without anyone noticing it’s cosplay or game merch, stylish outfits that aren’t gaudy or “video gamey”. Even by this metric of realistic style, they are still striking outfits that bring something from the character, that draw something out pertaining to the characters and makes these aspects manifest: Ptilopsis’ autumn ensemble that shows her taste for quiet, leisurely walks alongside one of Mayer’s mechanical dogs, Specter’s winter dress with accompanying scarves and a cello case that pays reference to her artistic hobbies, Ifrit’s unrestrained summer fun outfit where she cooks with gas, a lack of self-preservation, and a lot of love for BBQ, to name of a few.

W marks a distinct visual departure from the usual alt outfits, while remaining thematically consistent: Out-of-uniform, regular life wear. W’s regular outfit consists of red and varying monochrome tones, almost like a Hanafuda card.

One can’t call it gaudy, but it’s showy, at the least, in particular the frilled skirt. Combined with her sardonic, playfully mocking demeanor and fancy manner of speech, it is clear that this ensemble, with its colors, is very “hostile”, “antagonistic” and yet “mischievous”, this last aspect in particular being seeing in her perpetual smile, the unlikely fluttering and frilly skirt, and her playful mockery of practically everyone she speaks of. Black and red are also casino colors, further giving her design an intentionally “dangerously playful” look, further corroborated by the names of her Skills, which all reference toys, games, and game terminology: “King of Hearts” (the card), “Jack in the Box” (the toy), and “D12″ (a move otherwise known as the Queen’s Gambit, one of the oldest openings in chess). All in all, what her design and character scream out is “this person is dangerous, she treats war and death as if they were games, and everyone is just a piece on the board to her”. Even when talking to Skullshatterer about how to kill Doctor, she’s always referring to it as “a fun game we could play”, one you can win instantly “if you take out the king”. They tastefully never make her say something too out there to the point where she sounds like a wacky game-themed villain, instead, they made it subtle but very much present, especially if you’re looking for it.

This is what W has been for us for a year: A velvet antagonist known to trivialize the death battles cause, a mysterious and formidable foe, someone dangerous.

And then.

And then?

This alt outfit. Instead of wearing something more striking, instead of busting out a pose, W is simply wearing a drab t-shirt, fatigues, and boots while peeling a potato by a camp’s pot, listlessly staring out into nothing. The very image of normality. Just a mercenary on her downtime, chipping in on dinner.

This goes against the rule of “something striking, something with style” that alt outfits tend to follow while simultaneously being true to the essence of daily life, of mundanity, of “a look into a casual moment in the Operator’s life” that alt outfits have.

It’s the very essence of W, momentarily shedding away all theatrical grandeur and all pretense. Discarding, for even one hour or two, everything that is going on with her, the role she has to play, the mask she has to wear, the objective she was to reach even if she has to claw her way there, so she can be, for even one second, alone with her thoughts and memories, so she can remember those she wants to remember, think about what she must, and just, for one second, be at ease.

Sarkaz have lived embroiled in civil wars fought between the many fractured factions of Kazdel, a land torn by politics and Oripathy. For someone like W, who was born and has lived all her life in the battlefield, a black t-shirt, drab fatigues and boots are her going-out clothes. The put-together ensemble with the frilly skirt? Those are work clothes. That’s for when she needs to put in the hours. “Stand-by” is equivalent to ‘rest’ for a full-time soldier like her, when ‘all’ she has to do is be attentive to surprise enemy assaults. When she can sit down, look into the sky. and peel a potato.

It’s when W can be the real W.

Even the Sarkaz in the background are telling: With the exception of allied Sarkaz Operators, all the Sarkaz we’ve seen as hostiles have always been in full battle gear: Black masks with no features, large swords, wicked staves, full body armor. They are an intimidating elite enemy that takes a few more shots that usual, and that hits harder than others. Likewise, we see them relaxing, unarmored, unmasked, humane, discussing how many potatoes should go into the stew and how much more lumber they’ll need to keep the flame alit in this particularly cold winter afternoon.

This is normality for the Sarkaz mercenary. This is the Sarkaz mercenary’s daily life outside of the battlefield, at camp, at the closest thing they can call a home, one that moves with them whenever they inevitably have to move away due to discrimination, due to an enemy attack, due to casualties, due to a promising new job, due to anything.

And in that, there’s beauty, the beauty of mundanity, the beauty of a moment to yourself. For some, that’s a leisurely stroll in autumn, for others, it’s being able to play the cello while the winter rain pounds the rooftop, and yet for others, it’s being able to hit the beach with friends and make some delicious BBQ while listening to rock.

For some, it’s the peace that comes with peeling potatoes.

Wiggle’s Muse - Short Excerpt turned into a FanFic

Yo, so, I wanted to share a small snippet of a future project I’m working on (while also delaying my current art projects). What I’ve written out here in this post was originally in a format not meant for professional writing purposes, but I said “eh, why the hell not,” and written it out in sort of a short fanfic format for you guys to read. This project btw, is not a fanfic (had to make that clear). What I am working on is a very large scale project for myself and is still in the blocking out/rough draft phases. This right here is probably my most fleshed out scene I’ve written out, and feels pretty complete as it’s own thing. Honestly, I’d appreciate the feedback if any of ya’ll found this interesting! 

Also I’m putting this in a tumblr post because I don’t have an AO3 or fanfiction account, and this is already too short for it anyway. Read the excerpt below

In front of the camera lenses, multiple grumpuses walk back and forth discussing a matter of topics but most importantly, where was Wiggle?

"Has anyone gotten ahold of Wiggle yet? She was supposed to be here hours ago,” a gruff voice coming from out of frame says. “We’ve tried calling her for over an hour, but we got nothing,” says another off camera, “do you think we should reschedule-” before they could finish, the studio doors bust open with a loud thud echoing the studio room. A tall, short armed grumpus with a boa stumbles along the room carrying an oddly shaped banjo.

“There she is,” said the gruff voiced grump, “Wiggle, whatever you got going on, you better do it now cause we got a meeting with investors in half an hour!” From the blurry view of a slightly out of frame Wiggle, she barely registered what the grump said. In a stumble, she walks to the center of the camera’s view & shakes her head, almost slurring her words, “Doooon’t worry, Darling, we’ll get you a new vest later.” “What, no, wait, that’s not what I-” before another word could be said, Wiggle readies her banjo and strikes a quick pose before strumming the strings like her life depended on it.

It didn’t take longer than a few seconds before the crew sprung into action, setting the proper lightning, mics and cameras around her. Her rhythm and measures became a lot more stable, catchy even, and then she broke into song. The next set of lyrics would become an instant, regrettable classic. 

It’s not long before the VHS tape stutters and stops, showing mostly static. A magenta furred Grumpus with some hair covering a part of eye, hits the eject button, takes out the tape and turns off the tv. “Girl, you were a right mess there!” She said with a giggle. “Tell me about it, Vrittany...” Wiggle said frustratingly, pinching the bridge of her nose. “And you’re telling me you can’t come up with anything better than that? Come on now!” “I wish I was lying, but I’m not. No matter what I come up with, nothing is topping whatever the heck my walking coma came up with instead!” Wiggle grabs her mug of coffee and takes a longing sip.

The two sit across from one another at the coffee bar. The aroma of that day’s set of cocoa beans waft through the cafe as most of the outside lamps fill out the darker spots inside. The place is nearly empty besides them, and a single muted green furred occupant sitting at a booth at the opposite end of the cafe, drawing away in his sketchpad.

“So, whatcha gonna do?” Vrittany asked sarcastically, “Stay awake for another week? Get inspired again? Hehe.” Wiggle sets her mug down, and answers, “I did try that again, but in style I fell asleep comfortably on a couch in the lobby”. Vrittany looked a bit stunned. “You’re kidding?! You’re crazy!” “Not crazy, Vrittany,” she takes another sip of her coffee before striking a pose in her high stool seat, bellowing out her voice. “Just creatiiiivly driveeeen~” “Whatever you say, darling,” Vrittany says before turning around to her bar’s sink. She cleans several mugs and glasses with gusto while preparing one last pot of coffee, enough for a single cup for later.

Vrittany takes off her apron and hangs it on the wayside of the counter as she walks around to take a seat next to Wiggle. After situating herself, she puts a paw on Wiggle’s shoulder. “Listen, pretty sure this is just a rut you’re stuck in right now,” she says. “Doesn’t every artist go through that every now and then?” Wiggle turns her head toward Vrittany, “Well..yeah, but this is different,” she desperately says. “I can’t let a song I made in my sleep be the best thing I’ve ever made! I know I can make something that’ll shake the world more than whatever ‘Do The Wiggle’ was.” 

Vrittany pulls back her paw from Wiggle to put on her best thinking cap. As deeply in thought as she was, her face immediately relaxes into a deadpan expression, “Have ya tried singing from the heart?” Wiggle cracks a smile, “HA, if only that’s how it works! It takes a musical genius to write a hit song in show biz, not just some field day with my feelings.” “Eh, worth a shot. Got any other plans?” “I’m still trying to figure that out. I need some kind of inspiration...almost like a-”

Before she could finish her thought, they both caught a glance at the muted green furred grump who walked up to them. He mustered up the words and said, “E-excuse me, you’re Miss Wiggle, right?” Wiggle turned in her seat to get a better look at the young Grumpus. She could tell he was nervous, clutching his sketchbook in his arms rather tightly. She quickly put on a more relaxed front to help calm things down, while also still showing off a bit of her excited side. “Why yes I am, Darling,” she said enthusiastically. “And I can tell you must be a fan of mine.” “Y-yeah...!” The green grump looked a little more relaxed, but still stiff in the shoulders. “Hey now, no need to be so nervous. I always got time for my fans.” “Thank you, Miss Wiggle. Um…” “No need to finish that thought, Darling, I know what you’re about to ask and I’m happy to oblige!”

Before the young man could stop to say something, Wiggle pulls out one of her many professional hand out photos that she has, and quickly signs with her autograph before handing it to him. “O-Oh, thank you, Miss, but that’s not what I was going to s-say.” he sheepishly says. “Really? Not an autograph,” Wiggle says surprisingly. “It’s usually the first thing fans ask of me.” “Sorry, I just...I wanted to show you this sketch I made…” 

The nervous grumpus slowly turns his sketchbook around to reveal a fully sketched art piece depicting a stylized Wiggle singing her heart out at the bar with Vrittany hanging out in the background cheering her on. He hands it to Wiggle to give them a closer look. It was still somewhat messy, showing a few guidelines and early roughed out shapes, but for what it was, it was still impressive to the two girls.

“Woah, that’s pretty rad!” Vrittany yelled out, leaning out from her seat trying to get a closer look. Wiggle was pretty stun, gasping at the sight of such a piece of artwork. “Darling, you drew this?! Just now,” Wiggle asked in awe. “Yeah! I was listening to some of your music and then you came in and sat down. It made me wanna draw you as fast as I could,” the green grumps says excitedly before rubbing the back of his head. “Sorry if it’s still a little messy looking though…” “Don’t be, because it is beeeaautifuuul~” “T-thank you so much, Miss Wiggle! T-that means a lot to m-me!” the grumpus says while his face lights up red from the praise. “You’re like an inspiration to me.” “Really now? Like a muse? All I do is sing the night away, Darling. You draw little masterpieces like this from me?”

As Wiggle continues to be enthralled by the young man and his work, Vrittany notices the coffee pot had finished brewing. She gets up from her seat and go back behind the counter to finish her last cup for the night. Wiggle and the green grump continue their conversation.

“W-well kind of,” says the grump, “it’s a bunch of music that inspires me when I draw. A lot of your stuff is so upbeat and fun, it gives me lots of different ideas to pump out!” Wiggle looks back, almost flabbergasted. “I’m...honestly a bit stunned that I had that kind of impact on you, Darling,” she says, almost with a melancholy tone, “...heh, kind of forget sometimes I do make some kind of impression on grumps like you.” She looks back down at the sketchbook, entranced by the creativity that sparked in the moment. That dazzling moment where it all clicked...where could she find that, when someone else can find it in her?

After an awkward minute of silence, the young grump spoke up and said, “If you like, you can keep the sketch page, Miss Wiggle?” Wiggle snapped her head back up from the sketchbook to the green fuzzball. “W-wait really? Are you sure you wanna give up this piece of art?” said Wiggle worryingly. “It’s no problem at all,” said the green grump proudly. “I already took a picture of it to save for later. I’m gonna make a painted version of it online later! Besides, it’ll make me happy if you kept it, since I was going to give it to you anyway.” “Oh Darling, you’re nothing more than a sweet one now, aren’t you? I’ll gladly keep it!” “Thank you so much, Miss Wiggle!”

Wiggle hands the sketchbook back to the green grumpus and he tears out the sketch. “No, Darling, thank you,” Wiggle says ecstatically. Vrittany returns from behind the bar with a to-go cup in hand, saying “Here’s your order, kid.”  “Oh, thank you, Vrittany. How much was it again,” the green grump asked. “Eh, don’t worry about it. Don’t feel like counting change. It’s on the house.” “O-oh you sure?” “You wanna change my mind?” “Don’t think I can, so thank you!” The green grump turns back to Wiggle and says “It was so nice meeting you in person, Miss Wiggle!”

“The pleasure is all mine, Dar-,” Wiggle catches herself before she realizes something. “Actually, what was your name?” “It’s Grite, Grite Tillsland!” Wiggle lets a genuine soft smile grow on her face. She felt a lot more at ease and happier knowing her new friend was much more relax and happy overall. She reached out her paw for a handshake, and Grite reciprocated.

“The pleasure’s mine, Grite, Darling.”

Finished Discord Thread

Jasper had been instructed to take whoever was running the radio station in the moment back to their home of the Meadows. The resistance had been working for far too long out of the station, broadcasting information to help thwart the cult for years. It was a nightmare for them to try to do anything when any information was instantly shot around during a commercial break or even between songs. This night was different. They had just been able to break into the system, playing their Chosen music through the airwaves. It might not have even been four in the morning  — but it was a start. Baby steps. Radio station tonight, somewhere better tomorrow. Jasper busted the door open to the radio station, along with his two Chosen members that were tailing beside him for any needed assistance.

Lionel M.

Lionel was stressing over the hijacked station. He'd been promised by his employers that the Chosen didn't have the technology to do something that extreme, but clearly their information was outdated considering he was scrambling around his desk trying to figure out how to turn off that god awful music they were playing. He'd sent his boyfriend home, which he didn't think was an entirely bad idea at first — until he heard a loud noise emanate from the door and he jumped in his seat, his headphones falling from around his neck and shattering onto the ground, likely drawing more attention to himself than he would've if he weren't so damn jittery. Without hesitating, he dropped to his knees and ducked into the crawlspace underneath the desks, keeping his back pressed against the wall and doing his best to regulate his breathing.

Jasper W.

Jasper heard the crash of the headphones hitting the ground, instantly stomping towards where he thought he heard it. "Look, kid, I don't know who you are," the Herald said, walking slowly around the room. "I don't really care. I can take you easily, it won't be a terrible experience. Or... you can make this harder than it has to be."

Lionel M.

Lionel's eyes widened exponentially when he heard the intimidating voice, wanting nothing more than to be where he was half an hour ago. God, why did he have to tell Gabriel to leave? Despite his regrets, he kept his mouth pressed in a thin line as he watched the boots stomp around the room.

Jasper W.

The Herald noticed the headphones on the ground, likely indicating that the other was close. He clicked his tongue, stepping closer to the desks. "Are you really going that route? Because I promise you it can be terrible."

Lionel M.

Holding in his breath dramatically by keeping bubbles in his cheeks, he did his best to remain absolutely silent as the man came even closer. He was so, so, so fucked, wasn't he? Regardless he wouldn't make any sudden movements to reveal himself voluntarily.

Jasper W.

He stopped at one of the desks, glancing down under it. It was empty, but that didn't pose an issue for Jasper. "One down," he hummed.

Lionel M.

In this moment, Lionel wished he kept practicing Judaism. At least then he'd have a God to pray to. Unfortunately, there was no one in his mind that would come and save him, unless his boyfriend had a sudden change of heart and was racing back to the station.

Jasper W.

He walked down to the next desk, looking under it with a grin. Nothing. Hmm. "The tables are starting to run out," he said in a sing-song voice, walking to the one Lionel was under next.

Lionel M.

Oh god, oh god, oh god. Lionel pressed an open hand against his mouth to keep him from letting out any involuntary sounds of panic. Maybe he'd give up? Or maybe he'd realize that Lionel wasn't even worth the trouble.

Jasper W.

Instead of immediately looking under the desk, Jasper paused. Maybe he wanted to play with the other a bit, make him even more panicked. But after a long pause he reached down, grabbing the other by whatever limb he could reach first.

Lionel M.

Lionel was initially confused by the silence and inaction, using the time to slide his phone out of his back pocket and attempt to text his boyfriend. 'HELP' he'd written out, reaching for the send button before his arm was grabbed and he let out a yelp.

Jasper W.

He ripped the other from under the desk, without much care of if he hurt the other or not. "There you are," Jasper grinned.

Lionel M.

Lionel M.

"W-Whoever Azra is, Blake will p-pop a cap in her ass before she lets her run the station," Lionel said, staring up at one of the other members with fear.

Jasper W.

“I think it’ll be the opposite. If this is the same Blake, we can run them off easily,” he said. “Blake was never a problem for us.”

Lionel M.

Well, fuck. Why was she so arrogant about the Chosen at work? It seemed to Lionel like it was only a matter of time before the Resistance brought down the cult. "Where are you, uh... G-Gonna take me?"

“To the Meadows. They’ll figure out if you need to come up for the Cliffs with me,” he said bluntly, yanking the car door open with his free hand. “Get in or I’ll throw you in.”

Lionel decided that he’d rather not be manhandled anymore than necessary and climbed into the car, trying to ignore how hard he was shaking.

He moved around the car as the younger man got into it, hopping into the driver's seat. This was going to be a miserable drive, he just knew it.

He looked back at the radio station sorrowfully. How the hell did he let this happen? Trying to be as subtle as he could, he reached up and blotted the tears away from his waterline.
