In "things that will now drive me MAD FOREVER," I ended up on Lynn Hall's page on the ponymadbooklovers site again, whereupon I was reminded of the Mystery Book that is Rodeo Wife. I came upon this page years ago, and did my best to put it out of my mind because all they said about it was a "publisher: Touchwood Press?" and "I have seen it referred to a couple of times, but cannot find any more details, other than it is probably an adult book, possibly horse-orientated." Given that basic (small!) cover image, I was like, "I'm not convinced that's a real book, at least not by the same Lynn Hall." (even though Touchwood was definitely the name of her estate/kennels)

But then of course last year I found a copy of the self-published book on the left, and when you look at them side by side there is no question that Rodeo Wife does exist, or at least did at one time. The cover photo of the former was taken by her sister so I'm going to assume the woman is a relative or someone she knows, since it looks like it could very well be the same woman posing for the second cover.

The maddening difference between them is that there truly is NO reference to Rodeo Wife on the entire internet outside of that one page, at least not that I can find. No summary, no release year (though I assume 90s), no other pictures, no copies for sale or in libraries.
