Twisted Sister Arc Review Part 1
Hi guys I’m the Anon who does the reviews around here…guess you could call me the Review Anon? Wonder what the lore behind me would be…anyway that doesn’t matter! Point is, I have an Arc to review and Jesus is this a big one. So big that A) I’m doing submissions (with permission from the Mod of course) and B) I’m splitting the review into 3 parts. Heavy Arcs are Heavy and a LOT of stuff happens here so let’s get right into it!
So, the parts of the Twisted Sister Arc are first the Massacre, second is the Mindwipe and third is the Prison Break. Last one doesn’t start with M but I’m not doing rhyming here, but that’s enough time wasting let’s get right into it~
Massacre
Easily the darkest part of the Arc but given the Arc is basically Kanade being a Slasher Killer here, what do you expect? While Danganronpa is a franchise about murder, and we had serial killers in it both canon and fanon the nature of the Killing Game means that a full-blooded mass killing akin to many slasher films hasn’t really occurred in the franchise before. This makes Kanade’s bloody rampage here even more disturbing, as while we have had mass killings before, see Mukuro’s rampage through Giboua Middle School in Killer Killer, those are established as backstory drops for the characters, we never actually see one being carried out in action. And going back to that massacre, Mukuro only did it because Junko thought her sister’s killer intent might have slipped and it’s to prove to her she is still a killer, but here Kanade is killing for cold blooded revenge. And she doesn’t just kill a bunch of randoms as she brutally murders Iroha, Peko, Akane, Nekomaru, Sonia and Kokoro very brutally and very effectively. I knew something was up given that the entire school went into lockdown and all the fighters from Class 77-B were geared to fight Kanade to the death, and Kanade is such a pansy of a fighter that Sonia beat the living shit out of here, and Syo was taken down by the QC, and we all know how terrifying Syo is. But once the bodies started to drop, I knew that the first time that Hajime would reset on purpose was coming up and there were so many questions. Who set Kanade up for this? Someone had to be helping her…. but who and why? Juu could have let her out but he couldn’t have supplied Kanade with her tools and intel (more on that later) so it has to be someone else.
Within the darkness of this timeline there is of course your heroes. There are those like Peko who got a lucky shot on Kanade which set a chain line of events leading to Kanade’s death, Mikako who made Kanade’s injuries worse and Kokoro who stabbed Kanade in the eye. But those small victories led to total loses as even if Peko didn’t die, she would be crippled for life and moreover she failed to protect her classmates from Kanade’s wrath, and Mikako lost her mother, just as she started to finally connect with her. You may have noticed that I haven’t mentioned two names yet, and that’s because they deserve their own paragraphs, I am of course referring to Nikei and Hibiki.
I’m gonna start with the next person who attacks Kanade and that is of course our Journalist boy here. To say this day has been terrible to him would be a massive understatement as one minute he is suffering an energy crash from downing one too many Red Bulls and having lewd thoughts, to running faster than if he happened to be in Mexico (Seriously, if you happen to be a journalist just don’t go to Mexico) to Hope’s Peak and thanks to Ankle Effects, arriving alongside Hajime to a bloodbath. There’s his constant refusal to accept that Iroha is killed, even though we as the audience knew that given Iroha tried to stop Kanade as soon as she arrived at Hope’s Peak and that Kanade was seen by Sonia and co chopping up security guards, the likelihood of her survival was next to none. This carries on from the conversation Nikei had with Yoruko in the previous Arc where he still believes he is dangerous and that he doesn’t see the other Voids as friends or equals, but rather he took the role as leader because he wanted to have power for once in his life, something he alluded to in the Void Theatre during Chapter 5. However, his reaction to Iroha’s unknown safety, and eventually the truth that Kanade really did butcher the poor painter, proves otherwise. While Nikei’s relationship with his fellow Voids canonically won’t get revealed until LINIQ decides to get around to doing the Onmake mode, in which one of the stories in that is going to be about Void pre Mikado- with someone, most likely Nikei, being the POV character, here the fact his first thoughts upon finding out his ‘little sister’ is dead is to disregard the no-killing rule and just beat Kanade to death, proves that he does care about his fellow Voids, but is in several layers of denial. Out of all the Voids, Nikei is easily the most guarded and paranoid of the lot, and while the others have loosened up around Hajime and co, Nikei still has a lot of inner demons he has to deal with before he could truly open up to the rest of the QC. And Kanade chopping his right hand off, doesn’t help matters though I do give Nikei credit that unlike in the OG timeline, where upon his right hand been blown up by his exploding gun, he just broke down crying, here, he tries to carry on the fight regardless, or he would have had the other person I need to talk about didn’t show up. This is pretty important to establish that while most of the Voids now are pretty far removed from their canon selves and are unlikely to regress back in that, Nikei is still closely tied with his bastard canon self and more work needs to be done for him to detach from that.
But moving on from someone who needs to get some work done, let’s move onto someone who has seen the natural conclusion of their character development, Hibiki! Ever since Hajime and Chiaki rescued Hibiki from her twisted sister (*rim shot*) back in July, she has been making a ton of progress, firstly coming to terms with what Kanade did and her true nature, developing friendly healthy relationships with Class 77-B, the QC and of course a romantic relationship with Hajime. It seemed kind of cliché for Hibiki to fall for Hajime but then again a) Danganronpa can be cliché at times and B) As a Danganronpa Protagonist Hajime cannot turn off his swag. Then there is her officially joining the QC, learning how to fight and being a complete and utter badarse and a caring lover when needed as she confronted Hajime back when he died the second time. We all knew it was only a matter of time when Hibiki had to confront her sister and when Kanade broke into the school, we saw fully, how much Hibiki has grown in the past 3 months. The old Hibiki would have curled up in a corner terrified, crying and probably going into the Puppet State. Here though, Hibiki’s FIRST THOUGHTS upon finding out that Kanade is more dangerous now is to done some armour and get some weapons, and face her sister head on with no hesitation. All without going into the Puppet State at least once, which probably means that its more or less gone now. Kanade tried to talk her sister out of fighting her, but Hikibi isn’t buying Kanade’s insurance anymore and a fight breaks out. If this ever gets animated or becomes a visual novel, I would love to see the Hibiki vs Kanade fight animated as its brilliant, its epic and it’s just so satisfying to see Kanade getting the living snot beaten out of her. You could argue that Nikei’s mauling of Kanade was like that but there, Nikei was more or less in grief due to Iroha’s death and the whole thing was as painful to watch as the final fight in Captain America: Civil War, not saying what because spoilers ahoy. Here though is a glorious battle, as Hibiki gets to deliver justice onto her demonic sister and it is SO SO satisfying, given that a reset happens shortly afterwards.
And sadly, with that, we come to easily the weakest part of not only this part of the arc, but the arc overall, Yasuke’s multiverse theory. It could be written better, and even the Mod agrees that the way it was presented shouldn’t have been the way it worse, that having Umeko throw some ideas at Hajime and him coming to the conclusion that they might have been living in a multiverse be better narrative then Yasuke be like ‘Oh hey I am suddenly an expert on Time Travel now’. It would make Hajime breaking his no kill rule that much more impactful as he doesn’t have the excuses of not only Nikei’s who was currently going through a mental breakdown, and in the current plot where Yasuke more or less planted the seed of doubt in Hajime’s mind. Yasuke still has a role to play in this arc but during the Massacre timeline, I feel like he could have been removed entirely from the plot and not only would it have made no difference, but then most readers wouldn’t be complaining about it as much as Yasuke being a general A-hole wouldn’t tick them off. I’m not saying ‘THIS IS AS BAD AS ONCOMING STORM’ as that Arc was just a giant clusterfuck of a mess, and aside from this one part, the arc is very strong overall, but I will give criticism when due. I’m not mentioning my thoughts on Yasuke as a whole here because he’s more relevant in other parts of the Arc. However, Hajime killing Kanade and himself at the same time is brilliant and seeing Kanade begging for her life as Hajime throws her out of the window is so satisfying given not only all the crap she has been dealing up until that point, but also because in SDAR2, she was 100% fulfilled with the events at that point and given it was HIBIKI who was begging for her life then, let’s just say karma is a bigger bitch then Kanade is.
And that concludes the Massacre part of the Arc as Hajime kills himself and Kanade at the same time and he goes back to just before Nikei started to have indecent thoughts. No time to look at the 3rd page of the national newspapers’ boy, we got a serial killer to stop! And with that I’m stopping here as the Massacre part is finished. But this review is far from over, this is just here because otherwise my, the Mod’s and everyone else’s brains won’t be able to process all of this. Stay tuned for part 2 when we cover Kanade’s capture, a scrum debate among the QC and a bold move by the Mod which I do wish will come up more! Until then, Adios! - Review Anon

five times kissed!
FIVE TIMES KISSED
1.
Umeko wasn’t sure how to initiate their first kiss. She had no idea if Ryu even wanted one. Okay, that’s a lie she knows that he wants to touch and kiss her, but she couldn’t believe it. Didn’t want to believe that a guy like Ryu even liked her. So steeling her nerves, and just kissing him took a lot of courage, and pep talking. Her small hands cupping his jawline, her thumb rubbing comforting circles. Now or never.
The first thing she felt when their lips met was warmth. A sun-soaked warmth that she was certain was all Ryu. Of course, the boy was outside so often that he had to radiate the same energy as the large star. She stops herself from gripping onto his bleached locks, because she wants to take things slow. Parting from Ryu his shocked expression turned to complete adoration. It was far too much and she had to hide her face into his chest.
2.
“H-Hey, you shouldn’t listen to them. I mean, I don’t care what they say about me anymore.” Umeko can’t look at Ryu because of course the rumors catch up. All the things Touma did to her. and worst of all the disgusting rumor that she knew. That she was this easy little thing that was desperate to have a boy love her. It was pathetic, Umeko knew it was and hated that part of herself. But worst of all, she was worried that Ryu would hate her too.
“I understand i-if you don’t want to date me anymore. I-” Umeko is stopped by the onslaught of kisses that Ryu leaves on her lips. From her lips to her cheeks that were slowly getting wet from her tears. She hated crying, but for once these tears were born from something pure. Each kiss, and muttered affection that leaves his lips is a reminder that he loved her. That Ryu wasn’t going to go anywhere any time soon.
3.
“I’m not going anywhere.” She sounds confident, trying to be strong for his sake. After sitting in, and filled in by his mother Umeko knew he’d be undergoing surgery soon for his shoulder. Umeko would have scolded him for being so reckless with his body, but it wasn’t the time for that. It was all so much to take it. And the worst part is that Ryu wouldn’t be able to continue where he left off. Championships were a no go in his condition.
He’s taking it in stride, but she knew better. Guiding his hand to cup her face she presses a kiss to the pad of his thumb. Eyes closing at the ever constant warmth Ryu has.
“We’re going to be okay.” Her voice is soft as she promises this to him.
4.
“Oh my gosh you brat!” She cries, as Ryu steals another manju bun from her plate. She spent good money on those, and she even made sure to buy enough for them all. Trying to wrestle the bun out of his grip, he was just using his height against her now. Their small table shoved across the floor as she pushed against him, straddling his hips now. Glaring at him she gripped the bun in his lax hand.
“Haha, not so tough...” Umeko didn’t dare move as she felt something prod against her lower stomach. Her cheeks went 10 shades of pink in less then 30 seconds. Ryu didn’t even bother to look shameful for it. Forcing herself to calm down she ground her hips down against him.
“So you think you deserve a treat for being bad?” She asks, seeing how he reacted to her tone. He always liked it when she did this, take control and tease him. Her lips brush against his for a feather light kiss, and pulling away before he could even react. Placing the squished bun on their table she spares him a glance.
“I only give treats to good boys, you should know that Ryu.”
5.
“She’s asleep, finally.” Umeko whispers, slinking into bed with her husband. Calling him that isn’t going to get old at all. Not even after they had Miyako. Their little sunflower. But also their little banshee. Umeko truly was blessed she was able to calm her down for the night. She knew that maybe in two hours their moment of sleepy bliss will burst. Nuzzling her face against Ryu’s chest she hummed as his arms wrapped around her. Like she planned on going anywhere any time soon. Sleepiness was pulling at them both as she could feel Ryu’s breathing slow.
Peaking up to look at him she has to smile. He was still as warm, and as handsome as when they first met. If anything the wrinkles were giving him a distinguished handsomeness that only few men pulled off. Her presses light, butterfly kisses on his chin because she’s still too short to make it to his lips.
“I love you,” She whispers softly, worried he was nodding off and her message would fall on deft ears. It’s when he nuzzles his face against the crown of her head that she doesn’t have a reason to worry.

Timeline data hunting 5
Some more datas I found about the timeline...
1617: Alluvial gold was discovered in a river valley 18 km north of Matsumae, Ezo’s first and only castle town, causing a gold rush in Hokkaido.
1669 (June-October): The Ainu, under the leadership of Shakushain, revolt against Japanese, due to the Japanese trying to trade with them in an unfair manner and due to the Japanese gold-panners polluting the rivers badly enough to endanger the salmon. The Ainu marched from Shizunai to Matsumae castle, advancing west along the coast, torching Japanese boats and huts as they went, slaughtering gold prospectors, merchants and fishermen unlucky enough to cross their path. The rampage spread from Kushiro in the east to Rumoi in the northwest. The Japanese forces massed at Oshamambe, 130 km north of Matsumae. The two opposing armies faced each other across a river. Ainu arrows were no match for Japanese guns. Routed, the Ainu retreated. In October, Shakushain was murdered en route to what he thought was a peace parley.
4 December 1868 - 27 June 1869: Battle of Hakodate in which Hijikata supposedly 'died'. (chap 7)
1874: The tondenhei (屯田兵), military settler colonists recruited to develop and defend Japan's northern frontier in Hokkaidō against foreign nations, particularly Imperial Russia, start being recruited. All male settlers between 18 and 35 were assigned to regiments.
1875 (May 7): Treaty of Saint Petersburg. A treaty between the Empire of Japan and Empire of Russia in which Japan cedes to Russia the part of Sakhalin island it then owned in exchange for the group of the Kuril Islands owned by Russia. As a result the majority of Ainu living in Wilk's village left for Japan. (Chap 148)
1877: Ainu are forced to oblige to the regulations for deer hunting areas, deer hunting season, and deer hunting practices that were made in 1876, but previously had excepted the Ainu. In addition to this it's instituted a licensing requirement for deer hunting with a license fee of 2.50 yen.
1878: The taking of salmon is first prohibited in the Sapporo area under the colonial governor's order then this prohibition was expanded gradually.
1879: The weather pattern during winter was abnormal becoming one of the factors that caused the extinction of the Hokkaido Wolf (Chap 22).
1880 (February): A particularly heavy snowfall led to many deer freezing to death.
1881 (March 13): In St. Petersburg Emperor Alexander II is assassinated by the joint efforts of Kiroranke and Wilk following the plan of Sofia "Golden Hand". (Chap 160)
1882: the Imperial Japanese Army assumed control of the units of military settler colonists.
1888 (May 12): The 7th Division is formed in Sapporo, as the first new infantry division to be created after the reorganization of the Imperial Japanese Army away from six regional commands and into a divisional command structure. It was responsible for the defence of Hokkaidō, which it divided into four operational areas (Sapporo, Hakodate, Asahikawa and Kushiro). As one of the projects of the Japanese government was to encourage the settlement of Hokkaidō by ex-soldiers, the 7th Division was over-strength, and contained many soldiers originally from other areas of Japan.
1889: The regulation act of hunting deer forbids Ainu from hunting deer with poisoned arrows.
1890: Coal was discovered at Yubari.
25 July 1894 – 17 April 1895: The First Sino-Japanese War to which Tsukishima and Tsurumi take part (Chap 149).
Nihei's son also takes part to it and dies during it (Chap 114).
1996 (May 12): The t7th division is converted from territorial division to field infantry division 12 May 1896, in the aftermath of the First Sino-Japanese War.
1896: Tsukishima is imprisoned for parricide and met Tsurumi, who had been transferred to the 7th division, while being in jail (Chap 149)
Tsurumi will work to get Tsukishima out of jail, planning to take him in Russia where they’ll both work as intelligence officers.
Last written record of wolves in Hokkaido. (Chap 29)
The 'River act' (1896) prohibites fishing for salmons in all Hokkaido.
1897 (?): Nihei and Kirawus go to hunt together and Nihei explains him the story behind his rifle. (Chap 114) (we know it happened around 10 years before Tanigaki met Kirawus. We can speculate Golden Kamuy started around 1907... if we are still in the same year this would make the meeting happened around 1897).
In between 1897 (?) & 1902 (?): Four guys go around murdering hunters and stealing their prey. They target Asirpa and her father but they manage to have one of them arrested. However when they target Nihei he manages to kill the remaining three, although for this he's sent to Abashiri prison. (Chap 26).
1898: Since placer gold was discovered in Bankenai, Hokkaido a gold rush occurred in Hokkaido.
1899: Deer hunting was prohibited entirely, and the Ainu lost raw materials essential to their ability to provide themselves with food and clothes. The Japanese government passed an act labelling the Ainu as "former aborigines", with the idea they would assimilate—this resulted in the Japanese government taking the land where the Ainu people lived and placing it from then on under Japanese control. Also at this time, the Ainu were granted automatic Japanese citizenship, effectively denying them the status of an indigenous group.
1902 (?): Supposedly the incident with the gold takes place (we know it happened 5 years before the story start and we can speculate the story started around 1907).
1903: The military settler colonists are incorporated into the 7th Division.
1904 (February 8): Start of the Russo-Japanese.
1904 (May 24-26): Battle of Nanshan to which takes part the first division, still under the second army and to which Sugimoto belonged.
1904 (June 6): The Third Army lands in Talien.
1904 (June): The First Division joins the Third Army.
1904 (August 1): Start of the Siege of Port Arthur.
1904 (September 20): Start of the Battle of 203 Meter Hill.
Sugimoto’s division takes part to the battle. (Chap 1)
1904 (October): The 7th Division to which Tsurumi and his men belong, joins the Third Army. Around that time Tsurumi talks with Ogata about Yuusaku. The gist of the talk is how it could be better not to kill him but use him. (Chap 165)
Time after though Ogata will end up on killing Yuusaku (Chap 103).
Kenkichi also ends up dying during the battle (chap 76)
Kiroranke too took part to the battle, his use of explosive helping things greatly (chap 162)
1904 (December 5): End of the Battle of 203 Meter Hill. Tsurumi raises the Japanese flag on top of it (chap 31).
1905 (mid-february): Begins the mobilitation toward Mukden. Sugimoto and Toraji met while going toward Mukden and talk about Umeko (Chap 35)
1905 (February 21): Start of the battle of Mudken.
During it, not only Tsurumi got wounded and received brain damage but he already had in mind his Ainu plan. (chap 149-150)
Toraji dies (Chap 150).
1905 (March 10): End of the battle of Mudken
1905: Before the end of the war some deserters from the Russian Army stop to a lighthouse in Russia and take away Svetlana, the daughter of the couple who lived there (Chap 168)
Sugimoto also almost kills a superior officer that pissed him off (Chap 1)
1905 (September 5): End of the Russo-Japanese War
1906 (January): The third Army which contained the 7th division is disbanded.
1906 (?): Hanazawa Koujirou dies (chap 31)
1906 (?) (spring): Sugimoto returns back home.
1907 (?) (late February): The series supposedly starts. - Sugimoto and Asirpa joins force to find the gold. (Chap 1-2) - Sugimoto and Asirpa capture prisoner number 1, Ogata kills him and Sugimoto seriously injures Ogata, causing him to end up being hospitalized. (Chap 3-5) - Shiraishi and Sugimoto meets. (Chap 6-7) - Ogata regains consciousness but, due to his broken jaw, can only write the word 'immortal' with his finger (Chap 7) - Tamai, Noma, Okada and Tanigaki go search who attacked Ogata. Tamai, Noma and Okada are killed by a bear while Tanigaki has his legs broken. (Chap 8-11) - Sugimoto drops by to Asirpa's village (Chap 11-13) - Hijitaka and Ushiyama join forces (Chap 12) - Tsurumi has Wada killed by Tsukiyama. (Chap 13)

He, Asirpa and Shiraishi start to work together. (Chap 14-20) - Nagakura provides Hijikata some weapons. (Chap 20) - Hijikata, Ushiyama and some other men ask Shibukawa Senjirou and his men to cooperate with them. (Chap 21) - Nihei and Tanigaki join forces to kill Retar but Nihei dies and Tanigaki gets hit by an amappo and, as a result, he’s carried to Asirpa’s village. (Chap 22-31) - Huci tells Sugimoto, Asirpa and Shiraishi about the legend of the gold (Chap 30) - Hijikata informs Nagakura that the gold is much more than believed (Chap 30) - Tsurumi buys weapons from Mister Thomas (Chap 30-31) - Asirpa, Shiraishi and Sugimoto try to hunt an eagle. (Chap 31-32) - Hijikata, Nagakura and Ushiyama go to the city. While Hijikata and Nagakura retrieve Hijikata's old sword, Izumi-no-kami Kanesada, Ushiyama runs into Shiraishi but Shiraishi manages to escape him also thanks to the involvement of the 7th division. (Chap 33-34)
1907 (?) (Spring - April):- While hunting a Tanuki, Shiraishi, Sugimoto and Asirpa meet up wirh Ryu. Shiraishi tries to use Ryu to find Ushiyama but gets captured by him and forced to work for Hijikata, who gives him info to track down Henmi. (Chap 36-37) - One of Henmi's victims is found by Sugimoto and Asirpa. Shiraishi leads them to the herring fishery in which Henmi is hiding. Sugimoto rescues Henmi who fell in the water. At the same time Tsurumi and the 7th division are visiting the owner of the herring fishery and spot Sugimoto. As Sugimoto escapes from them he's also forced to fight Henmi who gets captured by an orca and dragged into the sea. Henmi dies, Sugimoto manages to recover his body and then escape from the 7th. Tsurumi discover the owner of the Herring fishery won't make him donations, that Ogata is missing from the hospital and that Nikaido has disappeared by SEVERAL DAYS. (Chap 37-42) - Ogata and Nikaido go to search Tamai and the others and meets up with Tanigaki. They believe Tanigaki is responsible for the death of Tamai and the others and try to kill him. Tanigaki manages to escape from them and have Nikaido be attacked by a bear. Tsurumi captures Nikaido and buy his loyalty promising him he will be allowed to kill Sugimoto. Nikaido betrays Komiya. Ogata manages to escape Tsurumi. (Chap 42-46) - While staying at a lodge Sugimoto's group meets up with Hijikata in disguise (Chap 43-44) - Sugimoto’s group will meet up with Kiroranke who saves Shiraishi from a huchen. Kiroranke warns Asirpa an old man is searching for Kochoube Asuko, Asirpa's Japanese name. He then tells her he knows what had happened at Abashiri and that Nopperabo is her father and joins forces with them (Chap 47-49) - Sugimoto's group and Kiroranke stop to Asirpa's village, where Tanigaki doesn't recognize Kiroranke. Ushiyama reaches the Sapporo World hotel. Sugimoto's group arrives at the same place short after. Shiraishi is captured by Ienaga. Sugimoto and Ushiyama become 'friends' and go eat something together with Asirpa, who grows fond of Ushiyama and Kiroranke. Later Ienaga tries to eat Asirpa and is caught by Sugimoto. Shiraishi escapes. Ushiyama lost in his lust for Ienaga, starts to chase her. In the end Kiroranke's explosive ends up dropped in the fire. Everyone escapes but Ushiyama and Ienaga are believed to be dead. (Chap 50-54)

Random!
Rules: Pick 15 people and randomize them here. Make a new post and fill in each section with the number corresponding to your results. Feel free to tag anyone!
I got tagged by @wonky-glass-ornament @cavern-of-bells and @dear-mrs-otome (see their hilarious results HERE, HERE, and HERE
1. Mom or Dad: Hideyoshi – Growing up with Hideyoshi means growing up ever so slightly paranoid. Sure, I get away with stuff, but, in the pits of my filthy soul I know he knows. Little things, like, the fact there’s a scarf stuck in the tree by my window that I sneak out from. Blown up there by the wind? Left behind by accident last time? I THINK NOT. That said, definitely a Fun!Dad but also a big believer in letting lessons be learned – though he gentles them where he can.
02. Sibling: Mitsuhide – best big brother. He tries so hard to be a Good Example and is the one who Frowns when Hideyoshi is like sure sweetie you can have cheese for dinner because no you are growing you need vegetables too. Given our equally stubborn natures, for a long time I thought we’d never get along – but after finally watching him lose his cool in my defense, I realize we’re alike in every way. He is MY precious brother and if you try and hurt him I will come after you okay. Dinner table haiku competitions are a thing.
03. Grandma or Grandpa: Kenshin the most indulgent grandpa ever. Spoils me ABSOLUTELY ROTTEN. The sort of grandpa who is like “let’s go on a trip I found the loveliest place” and forgets that school starts on Monday so when we get back (on Thursday) there’s some ‘splaining to do.
04. Haunts you: Ieyasu – NO BUT HE IS THE BEST GHOST EVER. He is such a BRATTY poltergeist. Never has anything nice to say AND YET, he’s reliable. I always know he’s going to be there and I can tell him about how awful my day was and he will tell me exactly why I’m being stupid for being upset over it and perversely it helps. He’s like having a housecat – Super Obviously Ignores Me if he feels slighted. He has been in a Mood since I got a boyfriend he does not in any way approve (not because he has standards for me or anything – he’s shocked anyone would date an idiot like me, of course, he’s just annoyed that I managed to find someone—in his words—even stupider than me to hang around)
05. Boyfriend or girlfriend: Yukimura – d’aaaaw. I had to semi-trick him into asking for my number (I’m pretty sure Saizo knew exactly what I was doing, oops) but, hey. He still blushes adorably when I climb in his lap, but his arms are always open for me and I appreciate knowing that to the depths of my otherwise miserably unromantic shriveled little heart more than I can say <3
06. Your ex: Inuchiyo – MY SWEET PRECIOUS PUPPY. It was too much like dating my brother. I mean not my actual brother, he and Mitsuhide are pretty different (though not as much as I once thought) but, I just couldn’t do it. He agreed it was weird, but his voice sounded a little high when he did…
07. Your best friend: Tadakatsu - YESSSS my sweet, supportive, amazing bestie. This boy HAS MY BACK and he’s always there for a hug when I want one. I really want nothing more than to set him up with someone who will appreciate him for how wonderful and sweet and good he really is and take care of him in all senses of the word.
08. Proposed: Umeko – SADLY we were both three sheets to the wind after commiserating over her last breakup when she grasped my hands with teary eyes and said that I would clearly be better for her than any of her exes.
09. Your boss: Nobunaga – oh lord. I get fired like once a week for screaming back in his face AND YET somehow the paperwork never actually gets filed and I am expected back in meetings the next day. An exhausting marathon of work with a sprinting pace. Wholly support his refusal to yield to the whims of a Board of Directors – he bought out the whole company himself, so he answers to no shareholder and no board, and, as HORRIFICALLY EXHAUSTING as he is to work for, and as much as he expects nigh impossibly high standards out of them, if you can skim those standards with your fingertips and hang the heck on, he is very good to his team.
10. A random person you meet at a bar: Masamune – he was quiet and didn’t look like he wanted to be bothered, but, we both had the same obscure cell phone charm character and I just couldn’t help gushing about it. He looked a little startled when I approached him, and he didn’t say much, but when he got up to leave he gave me a very small, very soft smile and I was ultimately glad we could chat, however briefly.
11. Your rival: Yuki – luckily she has a capricious sense of humor or my tush would be totally dead. As it is, one super embarrassing board meeting a la truth potions means that these days pretty much the only thing I drink anymore is water straight out a tap – surely she can’t spike that, right?! Is there some possible foe yay going on? Yes.
12. Gave you your first kiss: Saizo and boooooy nothing’s lived up since. It was an education. Literally – payment for educational services rendered was given in the form of dango and babysitting Yukimura for a few days. Completely worth it.
13. Drunk and singing karaoke with: Kojuro it was a bit of a mix-up – the room I reserved for a party got double-booked. Luckily, he is a gracious man, and Shigezane suggested we combine the two. Maybe a bit rowdier of a birthday than Masamune was used too, but even he smiled at how (adorably) off-key Kojuro can be. Everyone gets home safely, with taxi services paid for.
14. Played seven minutes in heaven with: Kotaro. Completely terrifying – luckily that’s kind of a thing for me? I don’t really mind if my thrill comes from good technique or, hey, fear for my life. I’ll take it. But I’ll still be a teensy bit relieved when the door flies open again, and with a vague smile I’m gonna dodge handing out my number.
15. Gave you your favorite dessert: Mitsunari. Not because he was thinking of me, and definitely not because he felt sorry for me or cared or ANYTHING STUPID LIKE THAT it’s just common sense that sugar can provide an energy boost (no he doesn’t care that I was feeling a little tired, he just needs me to get my work done because Hideyoshi will be more at ease if it is of course) just shut up and eat it and feel better okay.
I TAG UNNGH everyone do it, this is lovely. BUT. @quincette @belxsar @demonintheally @mollymare and @pseudofaux AND ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTS TO DO IT
It was honestly hard to just pick 15! So many good characters
