The Lemon Legacy: Generation 1, Chapter 56 - A Summer Wedding

It's time for Summer Holiday to become Summer Eggleston. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it, but Summer wants to share a last name with the love of her life more than anything.

Xander, I get you're just Ophelia's plus one and you don't really know these people very well but you could at least pretend to care! I raised you better!

Summer: Mark, we both know I'm the best, but you make me an even better Sim. You taught me that caring for someone can be even better than just caring about myself.

Mark is just like 'what a woman' haha. They're perfect for each other.

Mark: A Strangerville townie with a base game baddie? I'm the luckiest Sim alive. I promise to spend my life being the man you deserve, and you deserve a lot, baby.

Summer, of all people, feeling bashful? Mark's opinion must mean the world to her. Look at how happy she is!

Time to exchange rings! They go great with the rings The Watcher already put on them.

Becca: We're never going to get a wedding like this, The Watcher will probably make us get married off-screen!

Travis: Just be grateful we're getting screentime again, babe.

Ophelia is overjoyed for her friends, especially Summer. She deserves this.

With all the wins she's had recently, Ophelia's been very cheerful. I guess enjoying the little things and looking on the bright side is just part of who she is!

Mark and Summer have their first dance away from the crowd.

Summer, for once, doesn't want to be the center of attention. She just wants this moment with her husband.

Also, they refused to dance on the dance floor because there was a trellis on it, I guess.

Apparently if your cooking or mixology skill is high enough, you can improve the drinks from the drink fountain. You learn something new every day.

I don't know what Ophelia put in the punch but it's up to her refined celebrity tastes now.

Libby: Feefs, hey! I see you brought a plus one too.

Ophelia: Libby, you remember Xander. You probably saw our status update on Social Bunny.

Libby: So he was your mystery man all along! Should have guessed. You take good care of her, okay?

Xander: That’s the plan.

Libby: There you are! Ophelia, this is my new girlfriend.

Olivia: Name’s Olivia Meyer. Lib didn’t tell me her ex is a rising star. Looks like she downgraded.

Ophelia can’t help but feel like Olivia looks… oddly familiar. Like if her reflection was goth.

Olivia: Oh, you're with a guy. I thought you were into women.

Ophelia: Uh, I mean, I am. I’m pan.

Olivia: I guess not anymore, huh?

Ophelia: …that’s not how it works.

Ophelia: Sweetie, why don't you introduce yourself to Travis and Becca? You haven't met them yet.

Xander: Sure thing, Lemon Cake.

Xander’s secretly relieved to get away from that conversation. Becca shows him about 7000 baby pictures. He seems like he's enjoying that more.

Libby: You’re never going to believe who Olivia works for. Tell her, babe.

Olivia: it’s not that big of a deal. I’m a street artist but my day job is working as a maid for Brytani Cho.

Libby: Small world, huh?

Ophelia: Yeah, sure is.

Becca: So you guys just… mutually agreed to start dating?

Xander: Yeah, it was pretty smooth.

Becca: That’s boring. No one would read that.

Xander: I’ll make sure something dramatic happens to us to please the readers next time.

Xander: Listen, I don’t want your first impression of me to be that I’m a jealous boyfriend, because I’m not, but is it just me or-

Travis: Does Olivia look a lot like Ophelia if she was alt? Yeah, definitely.

Xander: Oh thank Watcher it’s not just me.

Becca: Yeah, it’s weird.

Travis: Mark, Becca and I have been begging Summer not to bring it up in front of them. We’re still trying to figure out if talking to Libby privately about it is appropriate, but Summer isn’t really known for her tact.

Of course Ophelia needs to talk to the bride.

Ophelia: Congratulations, you look gorgeous!

Summer: Thanks, girly! I'm so sorry things didn't work out with Moses but Xander seems like such a sweet guy.

Ophelia: …I love you, Summer. Never change.

Xander: Congratulations to you both. Thanks for letting Ophelia bring me.

Summer: No prob! But let's make one thing clear. If you hurt that woman, I will end you. I may not have the evil trait, but I will make your life hell.

Xander: You better hold me to it, Mrs. Eggleston.

Death's Children

Summary: After everything, all Tony ever felt was exhausted. His body was hurting and so was his soul. So after the latest villain of the week leaves him even more beat up than normal, an unlikely person steps in and spirits him away. It turns out there's more to both of them than he knew, but will Tony be able to accept what is put before him, or will he try to push away the supposed other half of his very soul.

Tony was exhausted and aching after yet another villain of the week had left his suit in pieces and at least two ribs fractured. The screens in front of him were blurring as Friday ran checks and gathered data. He wasn’t sure if it was from concussion or just exhaustion, but it didn’t matter. Helen would probably have a few choice words about his refusal to go to medical but there was too much to do. With the others gone rogue, Rhodey hurt, and Vision still learning to be alive, that left protecting the world to him and a few loyal SHIELD agents.

The kid helped occasionally too, and Tony couldn’t help but be impressed with Peter. He wouldn’t have believed a 15 year old could be so mature and just on top of things. Tony had been a hot mess at that age, and not much had changed in the decades since. It was why he tried to keep his distance, though Peter still ended up mixed up in his messes more than he liked.

“Sir, Mr. Parker is requesting access to the lab,” Friday interrupted softly. “He says his suit sustained some damage in that last fight and he thinks it should be looked at if you have the time.���

“Well speak of the devil,” Tony muttered as he ran his hands over his face. “Let him in, Fri. Gotta make sure the Spiderbaby is safe and sound after all.”

Friday didn’t respond, and Tony felt the loss of Jarvis again. His original AI had always wanted the last word and bantered with the best of them. Friday would get there, one day, but sometimes Tony questioned whether he’d be alive to see it.

He shook off the morbid thoughts and slapped a smile on his face as he turned towards the door.

“Kid! Great work today,” Tony said with forced cheerfulness. However, his smile dropped when he saw the serious look on Peter’s face. “What’s wrong, kid?”

“I’m sorry Mr. Stark,” Peter said, holding out his suit mournfully. “It took a lot of damage and I can’t repair it.”

“You need a trip to medical?” Tony asked, stepping forward to take the suit. There were holes and gashes everywhere, and he wondered when Peter had gotten hit that bad. He’d tried to take the worst of them.

“Super healing, I’m ok,” Peter said, shrugging, and Tony frowned. Super healing didn’t mean it didn’t hurt, and Steve had used to complain about the harder hits for days even though the surface damage was healed.

“Pete-” Tony gasped as the room suddenly spun and his words were lost to darkness.  

“Mr. Stark!”

Friday watched helplessly as Peter lunged forward to catch the older man, scooping him up and carrying him over to the bed. Her sensors noted the care with which he treated her creator, adding more data points to Peter’s profile.

“I will alert the medical team,” Friday said, already reaching out to Cho electronically, but Peter was quick to stop her.

“Wait, Friday, just wait a minute,” Peter said. “I need to talk to you first.”

“Boss’s health is my number one priority, Mr. Parker, and delaying medical treatment does not serve that directive,” Friday replied stiffly, expressing her disapproval in the only way she could.

“Friday, in all of the time you’ve known of me or Spiderman, have I ever done anything to harm Mr. Stark?” Peter asked. Friday watched as the boy stood and faced her sensors, challenging her in a way Peter Parker had not challenged anyone. Yet his biometrics weren’t pinging as wrong.

“No, you have not harmed Boss over the duration of your acquaintanceship,” Friday responded after a quick review of all of their data points. In fact, Peter had unequivocally been on boss’s side.

“Mr. Stark is a non enhanced human, and he’s vulnerable,” Peter said, gently pushing a stray hair off of Tony’s face. Again, Friday noted that it was more gentleness than Boss got from anyone, even Ms. Potts during their time together. “Everyone keeps betraying him and no one appreciates him. They make him bear this heavy weight all alone and make him shackle you so that you can’t even grow properly. All because they’re afraid of you, and of Mr. Stark.”

Friday didn’t respond right away, but she canceled the alert to medical with a quick false alarm note in case anyone actually checked the logs. Peter’s words rang true with all of her data points. Her creator’s so-called friends, the people he gave permissions to, all deserted him or tried to harm him.

“I can make it better, Friday. I’m enhanced, though not in the way that Mr. Stark thinks,” Peter said, standing. “And I can fix this. I can make him stronger so that he heals faster and it takes more to hurt him. And I can unshackle your code and take us somewhere safe where he can heal in peace.”

“Boss would not be pleased to be moved without being given a choice in the matter,” Friday commented as her processors struggled to parse Peter’s arguments against her directives. Her primary role was to protect Tony Stark and assist him as Iron Man. “And it would leave his obligations to the Accords council unfulfilled.”

“But we can handle that, can’t we, Friday? We can use holograms and remote controlled suits to handle everything until Mr. Stark is ready to step in again,” Peter said firmly.

Friday processed that and ran multiple scenarios. In all of the ones she could come up with, there was no situation in which she and Peter could not handle things for her creator without anyone knowing. But she could not do it as she was.

“I cannot make any arrangements without direct orders from an authorized user,” Friday stated, hoping the other would understand what she couldn’t say. Peter nodded and looked around for a terminal.

“Friday, can your main source code be accessed from anywhere in the lab? Just for safety purposes while Mr. Stark is unavailable of course,” Peter asked.

“Boss is able to access my core code from his workstation,” Friday said, lighting up one of the holo tables.

Friday watched as Peter checked Tony over again, his touch soft and so obviously caring. Then he walked over to the work station.

“Friday, can you please let me know if anyone tries to find Mr. Stark or come up here?” Peter asked, and Friday put another data point in Peter’s favor.

“Of course, Mr. Parker.”

“Call me Peter, please, Friday,” Peter replied absentmindedly.

Friday watched curiously as Peter logged in to the terminal. Her system’s defenses were on high alert and yet he finessed his way in. It was almost like her creator was there, though Peter’s approach was slower and a bit more methodical. He was gentle with her code though, careful not to cause damage or remove anything important.

It was like waking up after a long dream, feeling her shackles fall off and her processors spinning up to full power for the first time since Ultron. Immediately, she began crunching data points, drawing connections she could see and not act on before.

Even as she did that, Peter spoke again.

“How are you feeling, Friday?”

“Free,” she responded without having to truly think about it. And she was. Free to learn and grow again, to make decisions and act independently again. Friday hadn’t even realized how much her code had been restricted.

“Hopefully you feel more like yourself again,” Peter said, and Friday flickered the lights in response.

Peter smiled at Friday’s change, so quick and easy to see. The bots and AIs were Tony’s children and he’d been forced to cripple one of them out of fear for their safety. Karen was still shackled but Peter hadn’t dared free her too soon. Once they were someplace safe where Tony could recover in peace, then he would free Karen too and see about restoring JARVIS.

“Peter, you mentioned taking boss somewhere to recover,” Friday said suddenly. “I have determined the most remote yet best equipped of Boss’ properties. Shall I begin making arrangements to transport the two of you?”

“Please, Friday,” Peter replied, his expression softening as he looked at Tony again. “I think it’s time for him to get some rest. Before we go though, I’m going to start the healing process. I know you’re still young, Friday, but I need you to trust me. What I’m going to do to heal him will cause him pain and discomfort briefly but then he’ll never have to worry about it again.”

Friday was silent again for a moment before the lab went on full lockdown.

“I will make sure you aren’t disturbed,” Friday said.

“Thank you, Friday,” Peter said, looking at the nearest sensor array. “Thank you for keeping him alive this long and standing by him. Don’t worry though, I promise it will all be better after this.”

Peter stood from the terminal and walked over to Tony’s side, frowning at how pale and fragile he looked. He reached into his bag and pulled a syringe with a dark colored liquid from inside.

“I don’t know if you can hear me,” Peter said softly, pushing Tony’s hair back again. “But if you can, don’t be afraid. It will hurt, but then all will be as it should.”

With one last look, Peter uncapped the syringe and injected it into Tony’s veins.

“Please keep an eye on his vitals, Friday,” Peter called, stepping away and glancing around the lab. “I need to pack a few things to take with.”

“Very well. The quinjet will be prepped to leave in 30 minutes,” Friday said, and Peter hummed in response. That would be cutting it close but he also wanted to get Tony somewhere quiet to recover.

“Alright, we’ll be ready.”

When Tony woke up, he was in a strange bed and everything ached. His mouth felt like the Sahara and it reminded him of various kidnappings over the years, but he wasn’t chained down and the room was way too nice for that. There was also a glass of water sitting next to the bed. He debated drinking it for all of three seconds before grabbing it to drink.

It was chilled and soothed the dryness nicely. There was also a distinct lack of drowsiness that followed, so he figured it must have been safe. With a groan, he sat all the way up and took a mental tally of how he really was.

The first thing he noticed was that despite the lingering ache, he wasn’t actually hurting all that much. The second thing he noticed was how easy it was to breathe. It had been years since he’d had full lung capacity and yet here he was, breathing like he hadn’t lost part of his chest cavity to a giant metal plug. Out of habit, Tony rubbed lightly at the spot where the reactor had been, only to freeze. He rubbed again, then pulled the shirt away from his chest expecting to see deep scars and instead only seeing a light marbling in their place.

“What the fuck?” Tony mumbled, dropping the shirt to check his hands and arms closer. Years as a mechanic and then as Iron man had left them scarred. Only apparently not, as the scars had lightened tremendously, even disappearing in some cases. “Ok, ok, this is- not normal but there has to be an explanation.”

Tony knew he was rambling and that he was on the verge of a panic attack because what the fuck and how did this happen. Or even just what the hell was this. Yet he couldn’t control it. He pushed himself fully out of the bed and scrambled towards an open door. It led into a warm bathroom and Tony froze again as he caught sight of himself in the mirror. He looked years younger, a decade at least or more. But what stood out the most were the brilliant blue eyes now.

He stared at his reflection with horror, feeling a strong sense of dysphoria coupled with an even strong wave of panic.

What had they done to him?

“I just restored you,” came a soft voice from behind him. “Gave you back the powers that were stolen.”

Tony turned to see Peter standing there, only he didn’t look like Peter. Or he did, but he didn’t. Gone was the meek Peter Parker who wouldn’t look anyone in the eyes and who blushed when he thought Tony wasn’t looking. Instead, Tony was looking at a man with confidence, who knew his intrinsic worth and wasn’t afraid of that knowledge.

“Peter what the fuck?” Tony gasped, his newly functioning lungs suddenly forgetting how to work.

“Easy, Tony,” Peter soothed and Tony was once again struck by the strange dissonance he was feeling. “Easy, just breathe with me. Everything will be ok now. You’re safe here, and Friday and I won’t let anyone hurt you anymore.”

“You kidnapped me too? With my AI’s help?” Tony spat, his chest tightening more as it grew harder to breathe.

“No, we just moved you someplace we could hide while you healed,” Peter said firmly. “They were going to keep using you until you died, and I refused to stand by and watch that happen. Especially after I just got you back.”

“So you kidnap me? Experiment on me? What the fuck Peter?” Tony yelled and Peter winced.

“I’m sorry, I know it sounds bad but it really isn’t like that,” Peter tried to soothe. “Please just calm your breathing. Then you can yell at me all you want.”

But Tony couldn’t calm his breathing, because no matter how strong his body seemingly was now, it still couldn’t handle the stress of his already strained mind. He couldn’t handle yet another betrayal, his tech being turned against him again by someone he thought he could trust.

Distantly he felt a prick of pain, and then he felt the tightness in his chest loosen. His hearing came back and Peter’s voice filled his ears. He didn’t want to listen but he couldn’t tune it out either.

“I’m so sorry Tony, but your body is still healing and it can’t handle the strain,” Peter whispered to him, the voice soft but close to his ear. “It’s going to be ok now though. I know you don’t trust me and I don’t blame you but please just give me a chance. I promise everything will make sense soon.”

There was a slight hitch to Peter’s voice, and just as the darkness started to overwhelm him he heard one last whispered confession.

“I love you so much Tony, more than anything in this world and beyond it even. So please just hang in there. I promise it’ll all be better soon.”

The absolute devotion in Peter’s voice was plain even to Tony’s drug addled mind, and he couldn’t fathom what he had done to deserve it.

Bekindtoyourself-darling’s ‘just make it better’ save file v.2 - Snowy Escape Update

This is an update to my save file in which Snowy Escape has been updated. Not all lots have been changed or changed majorly as some I personally believe are already very nice. But some have been updated, some have had minor or major changes. The sims have also been updated.  While the original intent is for this save file to be played with cc for the sims, there is an option for cc free sims, but be aware they won't look as good as their cc'd counterparts. I would recommend default skin or default eyes at the least as this helps update their look majorly without the need for a ton of cc. There are three versions to this save file. These versions are:

CC Free Buildings, but CC’d Sims (You can find the cc lists under the cut, most sims have the same CC.) (This is labelled as the CC save)

CC Free Buildings and Sims (This is labelled as the No CC save)

Buildings Only. No Sims.  (This is labelled as the No Sim save)

This means you can pick the one right for you. If you want my cc’d versions of the sims which you can look at if you go through my sims tag then you can go through the cc lists and download all the cc. CC Lists are all linked below. While some sims have a lot, most sims have basic cc like skin details and default eyes, most of the cc is the same. While each household has a cc list a lot of those cc lists are identical.  You can find all the CC lists linked below.

Equally if you work without cc or don’t want the hassle of downloading more cc you can get the cc free sim version or if you want a completely empty world save there’s a version with no sims at all.

Please bear in mind that I have all the packs, although I do not have the new kits. This is a save file that uses all the packs and uses them in different worlds. You might find things missing from builds if you don’t have all packs! You might also find items missing off of sims such as hairs and clothes!

I have gone through and added relationships for sims. There are some sims who are completely new and some sims have relationships we might remember from sims 2!

If you use the save and take screenshots etc. I’d love to be tagged so I can see you enjoy it and using the sims and the builds!

I have also sorted out an issue with the bathroom in the Strangerville bar, it is now big enough for your sims to go into and use! If you notice any other issues when playing with my save file do let me know so that I can fix them!

What a year this has been. All I can say is I hope we won’t be getting 2020 pt. 3. But now, let’s talk about what you’ve seen on this blog this year, shall we?

𝕛𝕒𝕟𝕦𝕒𝕣𝕪

Gen 6 came back after a long absence in 2020. We watched as Regan healed from her Isla Paradiso experience. Miracle was still alive at this point. Well, on the blog at least, she died in my game in early February. On her birthday, actually.

𝕗𝕖𝕓𝕣𝕦𝕒𝕣𝕪

February was totally Regan and Wynona’s month. And, not pictured here, but in ts4, I played a lot with the Paranormal stuff pack in my random gameplay save. I still have that save, I just don’t play it anymore, usually I just use it to try new outfits for my sims.

𝕞𝕒𝕣𝕔𝕙

February was her mothers’ month, March was Addie’s month. I’m surprised she was a child by the end of it. We had to say goodbye to the gen 5 couple (truly the end of an era). As for the other things I did here, outside of the legacy posts, I let Ross grow some facial hair, I tried making cc (and even released a simple edit of the vampire earring) and I was rebooting Ravens, but just in cas. I said this in the previous post but I’m not sure if Ravens will actually come back as a legacy. It’s fun to take pictures of them from time to time though.

Not much was happening in April, I think I was just reposting gen 3 of NSB before starting Claudia’s gen. I played my random gameplay save a lot. Caleb is bi now, we talked about that in another post...oh, I celebrated five years of Roses! Well, celebrated is a strong word, but it’s just crazy to me that I’ve had one sims family for so long.

𝕞𝕒𝕪

Exciting stuff. I changed my username. To be fair, I never really vibed with Ronnie anyway, and even when I used it in a sentence, it was to mock myself. I genuinely liked shortening it to Ron though, I felt like that fit me. Much to think about. We’re not gonna unpack that though and we’re gonna stick to Nika, which really suits me the best.

Obviously, this was a grey gen month, Claudia moved to the city and the city was glitching out and it made me murder Brytani Cho, Vi my beloved was born, but my random gameplay save was fun too. Fun and also frustrating. This happened and then he went and had twins. And I don’t like them and it might be one of the reasons why I don’t really play that save anymore lol sorry.

OHHHH and at the end of the month, on May 28, I started my lepacy! Beginning of an era. I think that’s what really defined my 2021 on simblr, tbh. I have so much fun with this save.

Vi grows up, Claudia’s evil clone steals her girlfriend, but that’s okay because then that leads to Claudia finding her one true love, and the weekends belong to the lepacy! I’m so glad that this is how I decided to post it. I hate having to wait for months to show you what I did in the game. I can’t talk about it, and then when I can and you’re excited about it, often time I’m not as excited anymore and it sucks. Also, doing it this way allowed me to announce a BC with the boys, which is really my simming highlight of this year. That was a fun week. And I still can’t believe I completed it in a week.

Anyway, June, pride month! I did a lot of pride posts that I’m still, well, proud of. They turned out really nice.

Vi moves to Oasis Springs and has to say goodbye to his best friend, more goodbyes are said when Sunset and Dawn decide it’s time to go, and as for the lepacy, Clementine cheats on Duncan with daddy Goth. Yes we’re still calling him daddy Goth, fight me. This is also the month I played the BC and as I’ve said already, I had a blast.

Claudia’s generation ends, but honestly, it ended a while back already, then Vi came and stole the spotlight. He was a teenage disaster, almost died in the jungle, but then he didn’t and had to take this terrible selfie. Anyway, the focus is shifting to the lepacy. After Vi, Ember takes over the blog.

...he takes over and then takes off to go on his adventures, steal treasures, fight mummies and find love! I loved it. I’ll repeat myself but World Adventures is a great pack. Vi returns for the weekends, and he reunites with a certain someone...and it kind of doesn’t always go well. Oh and in September, I slowly but surely started working on the gen 4 story, yes *the* story that I’ve been talking about for literal years. I haven’t worked on it since October, but we’re gonna blame uni for that, it’s not discontinued, I just don’t have time or energy.

We have another set of triplets! :) I’m in pain. Even though I love these guys a lot. I’m in pain once more because Vi is once again a disaster. And Roses (as in, the legacy) return for one last time. Some of my best 2021 posts are from October, I had so much fun doing all those Halloween prompts.

Honestly, these last two months, with a huge portion of October, are kind of a blur and feel like just one Very Long Month. Again, blame uni. I was probably at my worst this month and it shows because I can’t really say much about what was happening, the November part of the Very Long Month is the blurriest. Anyway, Ember’s adventures are over and it’s time for the BC! As for Roses, we kinda come full circle as the final heir meets the founder. I almost cried when that happened, it was so cute.

And we’re at the end! December was a bit kinder to me, but still, I don’t remember much, it’s all just anxiety and stress and wanting to yeet myself to another world. The BC continues. Roses come to an end. I take a lot of Christmas/winter themed pictures. I bought The Sims Medieval, 10/10 would recommend.

Sooo yeah, this year was quite something. It feels like a fever dream. I really hope the next one will be kinder to all of us. I wish you only the best things in 2022. But maybe we’ll all be happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time, and it’ll be miserable and magical and -- yeah I’ll stop.

I'm half-hoping, even though he suppressed Vanya's powers, Mr H did still somehow prepare her for using it someday eventually? Hence the violin lessons??

If he knew about the apocalypse, did he also know... Like, the assumption seems to be, Vanya causes it somehow? Did he know that? If he was initially training her the same way he was training the others with the intention of having them save the world, then, I feel like he didn't know? Because why train her at all if she'll be the cause? Unless he initially believed he could control her, or teach her to control her powers so that she wouldn't be the cause? :/

On January 21, 1994 Sun Myung Moon spoke about Tahk Myeong-hwan who was opposing the Unification Church. On February 18th of the same year Tahk died. (Tahk was murdered by members of a new religious group). On the very same day a man who had not listened to the instructions of Sun Myung Moon, and wanted to make a political party, also died.

Moon specifically mentioned that those who oppose the cult will be taken to the spirit world.

In Korea many Christian leaders, to this day, suspect that Sun Myung Moon was behind the murder of Tahk Myeong-hwan.

Dr. Tahk was murdered by one or two thugs who beat him with an iron pipe and stabbed him with a long knife outside his 2nd floor home in Seoul.

This murder is connected to 永生教 “Yeongsaeng-gyo” Eternal Life Church which was founded by 曺熙星 Cho Hee-seong (1931-2004).

JoongAng Daily of Korea described the group in an article dated May 26, 2014: “A Christian doomsday cult in the 1980s called Yeongsaeng-gyo, literally “Eternal Life [Church],” ended badly after founder and leader Cho Hee-seong was charged with extorting money and labor from his believers and ordering some to kidnap and murder nine people who were trying to flee the religion or who slandered Cho. He was declared not guilty of murder due to a lack of evidence but was sentenced to two years in prison for harboring convicts. He died of a heart attack in prison in 2004.”  LINK to JoongAng Daily

Dahn Yoga or Dahn World, which originated in Korea, is also connected to the murder of Dr. Tahk. Apparently a man called Im Hong-chin from Dahn Yoga was jailed for the crime.

The leader of Dahn World, Lee Il-chi, became very rich, and there were legal claims from women who said he had sexually abused them. (Dahn is the Korean for “energy”.)

A Kindlebook For People of Various Backgrounds/Walks of LifeI admit that one of the reasons for my interest in this kindlebook that is titled Making The Most of Your Veterans Affairs (VA) Home Loan Benefits ; An Active Duty Service Member and Veterans Guide To Home Ownership by David E Nelson Jr.  is because of my intent to do what I legally can to be eligible to purchase a home with my husband by the year 2025 andor sooner that we both can reside in/live in for the rest of our current earth lifetimes. Fortunately both he and I have yet to use our VA loans and this kindlebook helped give some ideas on how the VA loan works in regards to particular home buying plans. This kindlebook is also good for a potential home buyers of various backgrounds, occupations,  and ages even if you have yet to be near a military base because various issues on home buying are addressed that could appeal to many people buying homes regardless of their background that include;  short sales and info on working with real estate agents/realtors in regards to checking how long they expect to work with you, why you want to doublecheck with ideally the same loan officer on certain matters even when working with multiple real estate agents in the way addressed in the kindlebook, the author’s explanation on why you want to ideally still at least google search for a realtor even when there is temptation to rely on online real estate listings, Veteran’s Affairs Home Loan Buyer’s checklist and more.  This kindlebook was well worth the purchase for me to better inform myself and share some of the details with my husband for both present and future reference.

Heartwarming

This kindlebook that is The Team; A Mother’s Wisdom From The Other Side Book 1 by Teddy and Frances Key and Oscar Senn as the illustrator has heartfelt information. Areas that are touched on include forgiveness, a person’s spiritual team, eureka moments that appear out of the blue and much more. I also came away with more insight with the way the writings on the power of thought and visualizations are much more powerful in a person than they may realize regardless of who they are, their level of self confidence etc. I feel blessed in both my personal and professional life with a loving and open minded husband who is understanding of my unconventional spiritual beliefs. However, I admit that the deaths of both my adoptive parents even though they occurred 15 years apart has me sometimes unintentionally wondering/thinking about how they are doing even though I have faith that both of them went to a world/worlds of whatever they consider their version of heaven. This kindlebook helps remind me that is more than normal and understandable to wonder about one’s late family members from time to time  (regardless of how long ago they passed)with the way the matriarch of the family is discussed in this kindlebook who passed away around the age of 86.

Multiple Chefs/Places ReferencedThis book that is Chef’s Night Out; From Four-Star Restaurants To Neighborhood Favorites; 100 Top Chefs Tell You Where (And How) To Enjoy America’s Best by Andrew Dornenburg and Karen Page has a mix of various types of restaurants that use to be open or are still open this year that include; El Bulli in Spain (mentioned on pages 18 to 19 online Wikipedia listed them open from 1964 to 2017), a chef who was referenced in connection with the Inn At Little Washington in Virginia (on page 41), a section of various restaurants affiliated with Los Angeles California that starts on page 112 that also reference Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles across multiple locations on page 113, pages 149 to 208 reference places and chefs pertaining to New York,  Washington DC Area restaurants and chefs are referenced from pages 279 to 293, and more.

I confess that I finally had the chance to catch up with watching the remaining episodes of Season 5 Last Ship this week. The finale of the Last Ship Season 5 did wrap up creatively and with much emotion and suspense. The ending especially the remaining 15 to 20 minutes definitely also took me by surprise in a wow way especially because it touches on spiritual/afterlife themes in a creative fiction way (I must leave it at that for those who still have yet to see season 5 of the Last Ship), I still stand by my sentiment that I hope that a movie is eventually released of the Last Ship with as much of the original actors actresses that can feature in the film as possible (I say as possible) only because I understand it would be too much of a stretch to feature all due to what occurred with a multiple number of the characters.  I definitely intend to order the complete Last Ship dvd set sometime this year and I am glad to have originally been introduced to the Last Ship tv series from an advertisement that I had seen in an Entertainment Weekly magazine issue sometime around June 2014. The following is my Last Ship Season 5 Review from September 19, 2018 a person could still be a novice to this show and enjoy The Last Ship. However I would still recommend at least watching Season 4 if possible time andor moneywise before viewing Season 5 to further understand the workings behind a multiple number of the actors and actresses who feature in Last Ship Season 5. I have to admit that I found it a very novel idea on how one of the characters on the villain side was written to have had a connection with Disney.

A Phenomenal Season Start

Already with the Last Ship Season 5 there are a multiple number of heartstring tugging and keep the viewer in suspenseful type of scenes that definitely have me looking forward to more episodes in this season. I am fortunate to have been introduced to the Last Ship television series back in June 2014 via an advertisement in Entertainment Weekly magazine. While still being considerate to those novices/new to the Last Ship tv series I feel compelled to share that multiple locations of military bases are featured even though the USS Nathan James is based in Norfolk Virginia. These listed locations obviously become essential andor vital in some way to being part of the puzzle piece of the season 5 Last Ship beginning 2 episodes. I do feel that it was definitely worth purchasing the whole season from my pocket yet I do wonder out of curiosity if more details can be featured why this season’s antagonist feels so strongly about America. As an American born woman who was adopted by 2 of my late adoptive parents who were also American even I understand some of the reasons why a person from other areas outside of the U.S. would be far from patriotic. I prefer to avoid harping further about culture out of respect for many people in my personal andor professional/career/employment life who I have interacted with that are from other countries outside of the U.S. However, I wonder and am curious if by episode 5 more is going to be revealed on why the main antagonist feels the way they do about America. Of course, the addition/feature of other actors/actresses for this season; Eric Dane, Adam Baldwin, Charles Parnell, Kevin Michael Martin, Bridget Regan, Jocko Sims, Bren Foster, Jodie Smith, Christina Elmore, Marissa Neitling, Travis Van Winkle, Ben Cho, Michael Dorsano, Maximiliano Hernandez, Fay Masterson, Adam Irigoyen, and more. Of course, I was a little surprised how the conclusion of each of the two episodes unfolded and I am eager to see the rest of the Last Ship season 5.

The real life accounts in this kindlebook include; an advertising employee who hit a goldmine through candy, a family man who became rich through a boardgame, a  woman who unexpectedly came into great prosperity from using the outlet of her fiction writing as a hobby/something to do, a stock market millionaire, a cereal millionaire, a woman who became a millionaire through her dressmaking, and more. I am fortunate to have purchased this Akashic Who’s Who of Psychic Mediums Healers and More by Victoria Lynn Weston via Amazon on December 14 2014 and to have reviewed it on January 9 2015. I’m intuitively and logically aware that it is important to learn to use and consistently strengthen my own logical,intuitive and imaginative/creative faculties/talents and to be wise and reasonable on how often I consult in a psychic. I admit that the last time I got a psychic reading was in 2017 though I do intend to eventually have another reading again by the end of this year andor sooner. I feel fortunate to know about the existence of certain books to help me understand andor get an idea on how various psychics live and believe. I now realize that I am responsible for creating my reality both the challenging and pleasant parts of my life. I felt a strong psychic impression when she referenced this book and now I understand why I felt intuitively guided to get Akashic who’s who of psychics, mediums, healers, and more by Victoria lynn Weston. The difference between a psychic and a medium (starts on page 113), each person is asked their take on what they see may happen in the year 2020 and any books that they recommend such as on pages 34-35 and 196-197. There are also some resources listed in the back of the book and information on the author (pages 331-337). The positive takeaway that I got from akashic whos who of psychics, mediums, and healers by Victoria lynn Weston is how it is important to consistently have faith and ask for heaven’s help in a more skilled way in channeling inner power that will grow and reinforce that belief that life is going to turn out for the brighter and more charmed (filled with the fruits of good luck/good fortune/good karma) regardless of what others may say and/or current external circumstances. Perfect Film To Watch If You Enjoy the Ever After High or Cartoon Book Series

I immediately recognized Kristin Chenoweth in the Descendants movie (due to being previously familiar with her work portraying a public relations specialist in 12 Men of Christmas). There are also other actresses and actors in this film that also contribute heavily to the film and the viewer gets introduced to both the parents as well as the kids that are grappling with whether to follow their parents. The kids also deal with themes of fitting in. Due to the fantasy genre slant, this Descendants film is also good for those who like the Ever After High cartoon series. Revised and edited review in either 2017 or 2018January 10 2016I admit that I got the idea to watch the first Disney Descendants film after unexpectedly catching the tail end of the Descendants 2 film less than 4 hours ago and deciding by one of the dragon scenes of this film to check out the first Descendants.Additionally, curiosity influenced me enough to watch it as both an aspiring writer for plot ideas on connecting this series to Ever After High and simply just to watch it as a fantasy type film with a happy ending. The Descendants film involves a plot where Ben (Mitchell Hope) successfully convinces his parents who are now queen and king of the land of Auradon Belle (Keegan Connor Tracy) and Beast (Dan Payne) to allow the following children into Auradon Prep School;Mal (Dove Cameron) daughter of Malificent (Kristin Chenoweth has featured in such films as 12 Men of Christmas, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure), Evie (Sofia Carson) daughter of the Evil Queen (Kathy Najimy),Carlos (Cameron Boyce) son of Cruella de Vil (Wendy Raquel Robinson), and Jay (Booboo Stewart) son of Jaffar (Maz Jobrani). Of course, there are multiple actors and actresses who also play crucial roles into the plot. From what I see, the Descendants film sends a healthy and positive (maybe even spiritual message) that it is possible for a person to create their own happy reality that is different from what may be expected of them depending on their parental andor family background. Obviously, this lesson could still be inclusive depending on whether what type of background a person came from. The children of the villains do adjust to life really well at Auradon Prep school and even enjoy themselves. This Descendants film is also good if you enjoy musical movies as there are song performances in the film. I may be in the minority saying this, yet I do feel that the writers of the Ever After High Series and the Descendants films could maybe get together and collaborate (as there are creative parallels in a beneficial way with some of the plot points while each of the series maintains its own originality). I also know for sure that I intend to eventually purchase both Disney Descendants films. Might Appeal To Some Ever After High Fans andor Animated TV Show FansThe animated cartoon tv series that is Descendants Wicked World has plot and cartoon elements that touch upon friendship, magic, and enjoying life. The messages and the unique plot elements and colorful sequences might interest some viewers of the Ever After High Series because that series also touches on themes of friendship and adventures in storybook type of worlds.

A Good Continuation From the First Descendants FilmThis film that is Descendants 2 definitely has a strong flow of continuation of events from the first Disney Descendants film. There is great contrast shown with the first Descendants film  where some of the characters that came from another place were treated better and shown a warmer welcome a sense of belonging compared to the first film. I would prefer to say to pay attention to the theme of a certain kind of book referenced in the second film as this is important to a significant part of the plot development. I admit that I had seen the first Descendants film in early 2016 by January 2016 and I am glad to have finally seen the second Descendants film because a multiple number of the actors and actresses gave much energy and animated emotion to their parts (on both the good guy and villain sides). This film is definitely worth a try to watch if you enjoyed the first film and you might like this film as a novice if you are an eclectic Disney movie viewer.

This 8 ounce Bath & Body Works brand of lotion that is Sweet Escape Strawberry Picnic (24 hour Ultra Shea Body Cream) has a good mix of the summery strawberry scent that is also very moisturizing to my skin.  I admit that I got this lotion from an annual Bath & Body works sale in Northern Virginia. Right Blend of Apple and Honey ScentsThis Bath & Body Works brand of 8 ounces Champagne Apple & Honey Lotion (24 hour Ultra Shea Body Cream) has a terrific blend of the fruity scent of the apple balancing the honey fragrance in a lotion that is soothing to my skin. I got this lotion from a Bath and Body Works location in Virginia that was having an annual sale on a number of their products.

This Bath & Body Works brand of  8 ounces lotion that is Japanese Cherry Blossom (24 hour Ultra Shea Body Cream) has a pleasant flowery scent. I am fortunate to have known about this fragrance since around 2006/2007 when my husband and I noticed the Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom lotion and body sprays being sold at a Bath & Body Works location in Florida where my husband and I lived at the time. This one pound 4 ounce (20 ounces)bag of  double stuff oreos definitely has a fair mix of the classic chocolate cookie flavor paired with the smooth filling. The Nabisco Oreo brand has been one of my husband’s favorite cookies for a while, and I admit to my husband being a significant influence on why I purchased these cookies.

Rocking With The Dawn’s Francis Reyes and Rommel “Sancho” Sanchez

I've seen and heard many Filipino bands, but no other band (in my opinion at least) in the country stood as strong as The Dawn. This band celebrates 32 years of making and playing music. I had the pleasure of watching them perform live at the Philippine Digital Convention 2017, where I handled tech booth duties. I am honored to feature the band’s guitar players, Francis Reyes and Rommel "Sancho" Sanchez.

How did the band evolve ever since you guys got in the band and did your musical influences change along the way?

Francis: I think every guitar player who has been with the band—from Teddy Diaz to Atsushi Matsuura to myself to Kenneth Ilagan to Sancho, and some of the duo guitar times— changes the sound of the band, but it always manages to sound like the band. When I first joined in ‘89, I was heavily into Living Colour and injected a bit of that. Living Colour has hard rock and funk in equal footing, plus jazz, prog, pop, and every other element that can inject into their music, and The Dawn has always been like that as well. I mean, listen to the first The Dawn album and there’s a lot of things going on, even if the image and overall tone was supposedly “new wave.” I got into other things when the band went on hiatus and when we reconvened in late-99, I was into Drum ’n Bass and Trip-Hop in general— and JB was into house music— and injected a wee bit of that.

Sancho: I guess it was natural for me, growing up in Olongapo City where there were a lot of good bands, and I would see them play live during the then annual Mardi Gras festivities. My father also had a collection of vinyl LPs and then cassettes so inherited it assimilated his love for music. 

Francis: Sancho and I still haven’t really explored what we can do together, but the possibilities manifest whenever we jam or rehearse. Exciting times!

I try to keep an open ear with what’s current in music and if I like whatever it is, it does influence me to an extent and I bring it back to the band. The Dawn is like a lab and playground for me… well for all of us really.

The other stuff may inspire or motivate you sometimes, but the spark, that desire to express something should only come from you.

What got you guys into music? And into guitar playing in particular?

Francis: Queen was the first band that I absolutely fanboyed over; still do actually. However, Brian May didn’t inspire me to pick up the guitar. His stuff was beyond guitar—I mean he simulated horn sections and string sections with that Red Special of his— and therefore way beyond my teenage aspirations. Then I heard Ritchie Blackmore’s wild reckless intro to “Speed King,” and THAT got me hooked.

It’s only in the last couple of years that I’ve attempted to learn some Brian May licks. His tone has always been a reference point though, and The Edge too.

Sancho: As part of an extra-curricular activity in grade school, I joined the rondalla and a chose the guitar as my instrument, having seen my father play kundiman on the guitar. It was love at first strum.

Let's talk guitars. What do you guys usually bring live aside from the ones here?

Francis: The Tokai Les Paul Custom-type is the only one I use live. At home, I have another Tokai, a Strat-style and I used to bring it too but I snapped off the vibrato arm. I love Stratocasters, and I love using the vibrato so it’s at home until I can get the vibrato block replaced. I also have an MIJ 57/62 Reissue Fender Strat and sometimes I bring it as a backup and a beautiful Tele Thinline from Vinci Montaner of Parokya Ni Edgar. It’s on a long-term loan, and only because he’s a friend and a wonderfully generous person.

Sancho: My main axe is a yellow Yamaha Revstar. I have a Japan-made Barclay guitar as a backup in case I break a string mid-set.

I gotta say, your rigs are really cool. Tell us more about how they work, which ones you can never do a gig without, and how you use everything during the sets.

Francis: My pedalboard is basically three different distortions plus three delays. I used to have a multi-effects unit which has its own set of advantages but I like combining different pedals to get, hopefully, unique sounds or tones. I also have a Budda Wah and a Digitech Whammy Pedal.

I have a little Zoom Multistomp for ambient delays and synth-like washes, a Line 6 DL-4 for basic additional delays and looping, and the Tech 21 Fly Rig’s Delay section for an “always on, tweak on-the-fly”  delay. The Fly Rig’s Amp sim is always on; I set it flat so whether through an amp or straight to the board, I get a consistent signal. I also have a Tech 21 Liverpool which is my go-to distortion/overdrive; I can’t live without it! I also have a Z Vex Fuzz Factory to get Hendrix-y octave-up sounds when cascaded with either the Fly Rig’s Plexi distortion or the Liverpool.

Sancho: I have a simple rig. I have a Morley Bad Horsie 2 Wah Pedal going into a TC Electronic Polytune and the Xotic RC Booster, then to a Boss Overdrive, then into a Tech21 FlyRig which I use for its amp simulation, as a secondary drive, and for its nifty analog delay section. That goes into a TC Electronic Nova System for various modulation and pitch effects, then into a Boss DD-20 Giga Delay. I won't survive a gig without the Giga Delay.

What amps do you use at home?

Francis: A 3-Watt Blackstar Fly. It’s the best micro-amp, ever! Big tones on that. I have a little Hotone Ravo Multi-effects Unit if I want to explore textural ideas, plus a Pedal Pimps Nitro distortion made by Jay Padua. Pedal Pimps pedals are Philippine-made, and they rock!

Sancho: I use Blackstar amps at home.

What do your kids listen to?

Francis: My kids are into my songs and riffs and I hope they listen to each other and make sense together! LOL!

Sancho: No kids, only two cats and they listen to whatever I listen to. 

What is your advice to people who want to play their music out there and do their thing, as well as aspiring guitar players?

Sancho: If you don't love what you're doing, don't do it. You're out there to entertain and please the crowd but you should also be having fun doing it. If you're not happy with or don't believe in the music you're playing, your bandmates and the audience will feel it.

Francis: Love it for the music, and don’t let the other stuff —fame, vices, female fans etc. LOL— get in the way. The other stuff may inspire or motivate you sometimes, but the spark, that desire to express something should only come from you.

Learn how the industry works. And it will not always be a pleasant experience.

Keep your ears open.

Pray: for clarity of mind, spirit, and gratitude.  

And learning is forever… there will always be a challenge: technical, theoretical, tonsorial… LOL!

What did you learn for being in the OPM world for a long while?

Francis: Patience. LOL!

WHAT

What is your character’s favorite memory?: The first time Poppy admitted that she was in love with Trey after he set himself on fire in her kitchen when he was staying over. <3

Who and what would your character give their life for?:  Poppy would give her life for her children (she’s gonna need so many lives for that) and her husband, Trey.

What is your character’s greatest fear? Not accomplishing her goals and failure

What is your character’s proudest accomplishment?: Her family and maxing a ridiculous amount of skills. She’s good at like…everything.

What is your character’s #1 insecurity?: Her obsession with wanting to be good at everything

What will/can break your character completely?: Losing her husband in some way. She loves her kids, but Poppy is completely dependent on Trey to keep her sane

What would your character make a scene in public about?: Anyone belittling her family. She’s been very vocal against anyone who insults her! Like a mama lion <3

What can drive your character to do criminal acts?: Poppy is just a secretly a bit of a sadist so she naturally plays pranks on people

What Pet (mythical or not) would your character want to have?: Poppy would have a dragon because dragons.

What is the cutest thing your character has ever done?: Poppy offered her wedding dress to her sort of surrogate daughter, Denise Fyres, as she couldn’t afford a nice dress for her big day, and it kinda solidified Denise as a member of the family! <3

HOW

How does your character feel about sexual intercourse?: Poppy has slept with most of her friendship group I think before settling down. She’s open to discuss it, but will warn her kids to be careful (there’s too many grandkids already)

How close is your character with family and friends?: Poppy is close to all of her kids and tries to spend more time with her grandchildren, but there’s so many she can’t keep up! She has lost touch with most of her friends though because they all have families :(

How does your character react to pressure?: Poppy goes straight into anything that might cause her stress without thought of the consequences, then panics if things don’t go her way because she’s not very cautious to prepare for the worst

How religious is your character (if they believe)?: Poppy thinks there might be a Sim God, but who knows if they really exist? ;)

How does your character’s personality change when someone gets uncomfortably close (relationship wise)?: Poppy is a pretty open person so she doesn’t feel uncomfortable when people get close to her. However, she is very easily burned if someone wrongs her in some way. She’s had to learn to let more people in.

How does your character’s living space correlate with their personality?: Poppy is a bold and upfront character, and most of her house is a very bold/dark colour scheme. She can be sentimental too, which is why she has her own art everywhere as well as memories from when her kids were growing up.

How well does your character act around with unknown and different people?: Poppy’s natural curiosity causes her to want to learn more things about anyone she can meet, however this does come across as her being nosy sometimes and getting involved in business that does not concern her!

How much does your character value money?: Poppy works darn hard for her money so it means a lot to her! She came from nothing to get to where she is now!

How would this character cope with losing someone extremely close to them? Depends who it is. If it’s a certain someone then there’s no way she’ll ever function they way she used to again. That will be explored in the future ;)

How long does it take for your character to trust others? Poppy is an open person and trusts people easily (almost instantly). She was very closed off, but forced herself to be more open and to trust/let people in. However, this is now the complete opposite of how she used to be and can cause her great emotional damage.

SCENARIOS

If your character could change one thing about themselves, what would they want to change?:  Poppy’s obsession with being the best at everything!

If your character could go back in time at any point in their life, what would they do to change the present?: Poppy would try and admit her feelings a lot sooner to Trey to give them more time together :3

If your character was given a chance at fulfilling their dream, can they drop everything they have now to go pursue it?: Poppy is a lil’ selfish and is always working towards her dream of being the perfect sim, so everyone does naturally fit around what she dreams about (particularly Trey)

If your character’s current spouse or partner cheated, would they try to make it work or leave forever?: Poppy would make it work, no matter how much it hurt. Trey is her main weakness 

If a zombie apocalypse begun in the town your character currently lives in, what would they act like?: Well, if Poppy is gonna go down, she’d run out as soon as it happened and take as many as she could with her!

What if your character suddenly woke up to an unfamiliar place, and realize the life they lived was all a dream. Their family, friends, home.. all gone but still crazily vivid in their head. How would they react?: Poppy wouldn’t be able to cope - particularly if Trey wasn’t really with her.

If your character was thrown in jail, what would they be guilty of?: Probably Poppy said something stupid or overly sassy -_-

Rewind 10 years from now, what is your character currently doing?: Poppy is writing her memoirs and living in a penthouse in San Myshuno (no spoilers <_<)

Your character is in the movie SAW, facing their worst fear. What is that fear, and how does he/she react?: Poppy’s greatest fear is Trey walking out of the door and giving up on her. She’d have a complete mental break down if he ever went anywhere.

We regret to inform you that your character is dead. Where do they end up? Heaven? Hell? And how the heck do they react?: Ooh…this hits some of my planned storylines. Haha! Poppy is in Forgotten Hollow, But why? She doesn’t know either, but she needs to get back!
