in other news i enjoy a bit of sifki because they are clearly exes and you know something emotionally messy happened there but you have almost no canon "facts" to work with so you can just make shit up and nobody can tell you that you're wrong. in some ways that sort of pairing is perfect for fanfiction. you get a vibe from it, but there's no explanation for that vibe so whatever you invent to make sense of it is probably going convince at least a few people.
#i feel like current AU aside i'd find sifvie hard to write cos sylvie is VERY defined by not having lived that life so how does it even work#anyway the first thor movie there's a Tension isn't there? some ppl say oh sif just doesn't like loki and ok BUT they've fucked right?#idk i just think she has a resignation to her mistrust like she knows something the other characters don't?#i am willing to believe this is just cos i saw the loki show first and thought it was implying they were exes but it works anyway i think#i started writing a siforki thing (is it called that?) but i don't know where i'm going with it it's just fragments that popped into my hea#in a weird way it helps that them films don't care about most of the women in them. it leaves a lot to the imagination if u want that.#btw speaking of the women i think frigga might actually be the more xenophobic parent#should i tag this as sifki? it has very few shippers and they probably aren't that into the messiness angle?

Payton Parker One-Shot
AN: So, I'm new to writing Iron Dad/ Fem!Spider-Man one shots but I'm going to try anyways so wish me luck! Please tell me how and what may need improvement and leave your thoughts in the comments.
And I want to give a shout out to @justme--emily, who is by far one of the, if not the best, fan fiction writers I have encountered. if you haven’t already, check out her work. You won’t be disappointed.
She was not being bitter. Payton Parker told herself as she rode the elevator up to the penthouse where FRIDAY said Tony was, as she scratched her right hand and yawned. She was just going to talk to her mentor.
Two month ago the Rouge Avengers came back and reformed the Avengers. Well they were on parole of sorts as the Sokovia Accords got rewritten since there were some debatable some potential ‘crimes against humanity’.
Two weeks ago, Thor, his genocidal brother Loki and the remainder of Asgard’s population arrived on Earth seeking sanctuary. And for some reason Mr.Stark has to be involved in the process of relocating all of the Asgardians.
So she hasn’t seen him in just under two weeks. Which shouldn’t be that big of a deal. He was a busy man. He was the leader of the Avengers and co- CEO of Stark Industries.
But he promised to mentor her and had been doing so ever since the Vulture Incident. They met together at minimum three times a week before the Avengers homecoming. And now he was abandoning her.
Just like every other father figure in her life.
She too a deep breath as she walked into the penthouse. “Mr. Stark?!” She called out.
Silence.
“Mr.Stark?!” She called out slightly more demanding, as she walked further into the room, stopping as she saw a young man with shoulder length black hair wearing all black sitting on the couch. “Who are you?”
“I believe I should be asking you that.” the man said as he studied her, closing his book.
Payton scoffed rolling her eyes. “I don’t need to answer you.” She said walking further into the suit.
Suddenly he was in front of her. “Why are you here?”
“What’s it to you?” She walked past him.
Or tried to. He placed a hand on her shoulder. “Let me ask again. Who are you and why are you-”
Anger flooded through her as she grabbed his wrist and twisted it away from her. “First, don’t touch me. Second, I don’t answer to you.”
She shoved him away as she moved to the elevator. If Tony wasn’t up here he was probably in the lab.
The man grabbed her shoulder again. She rolled her eyes turning to face him. This guy wasn’t getting the hint. “How dare you-”
She moved to shove him away, but he side stepped her and moved to grab her arm. She twisted out of the way, grabbing the front of his shirt and used it to throw him to the ground. He stared at her wide eyes
“Try me again. I dare you.”
“Kid?” She blinked before she looked up to see Tony, Captain America and a short haired Thor exiting the elevator. “What are you doing here?”
She shot a glare at Captain America before looking to Tony. “It’s Friday.” She reminded stuffing her hands in her pocket as Thor looked past her.
“Brother why are you on the floor?”
A flash of fear shot through her. Would he rat her out?
“Just getting a change of scenery.” He said boredly as he sat up.
Brother? “You’re Loki?” She asked looking back at the man.
“And you have yet to say who you are.”
She looked to Tony who nodded encouragingly. “I’m Payton Parker.”
“She’s my intern.” Tony explained placing an encouragingly hand on her shoulder.
“You have an intern?” Cap asked incredulously. She shot a side glare at Cap. What right does he have to judge Tony?
“Yes he does.” Payton shot back coldly.
“Kid,” Tony said pulling her away from the group of men. “You know how much I enjoy your company, but why are you here?”
She hadn’t thought of his moment. “Karen hasn’t been responding.” She said honestly.
She wasn’t sure why, but the last few days her AI wasn’t being as talkative as she usually was.
“Hmm.” Tony said confused as he took out his phone. “Odd. FRIDAY says Karen is operating just find.”
“Then why hasn’t-”
“Tony!” Cap called. “We have to talk.”
“In a minute.” Tony said before looking to her. “Look, we’ll talk later.”
“But-”
“Later.” Tony said strongly. “Now go. Happy will take you home-”
“Don’t bother.” Payton said stalking to the elevator.
“Payton-”
“Later.” Payton mimicked as the elevator door closed.

That night Payton sat on a random rooftop.
Of course Tony Stark would dump her first chance he got. And who could blame him. She was just some random kid who got bit by a spider. They were legends.
So become something better. A voice whispered. Show him how much more powerful you are.
But how?
Her head shot up as a scream pierced the air.
Show him what we can do.
She smiled before jumping off the roof catching herself with a web as she swung to the scream.

“Tony.” He looked to Pepper as he stared at the screen. “Have you seen the news?”
“Watching it.” The head line read ‘Spider-Girl goes dark?’ accompanied by the images of several men beat to near death. One of many incidents that happened the last few nights.
“May said Payton didn’t come home last night.” Pepper said sitting next to him. “When was the last time you saw her?”
“She was here said Karen was acting up. And I sent her away.”
“We’ll find her.” Pepper assured placing a hand over his.
“Tony!” They looked over to see Steve walking in.
“What do you want Capsule?”
“You heard about Spider- Girl, right? She’s the one you brought to the airport?”
“What about her?” Tony said boredly.
“Surely you heard what she’s been doing. We need to stop her before she becomes a serious threat.”
“No.”
“Tony-”
“There’s no ‘we’ in this scenario. She’s my responsibility.”
“Tony-”
“If you’ll excuse me.” Tony stood up, walking past him. “I have a kid to find.”

“What have you got for me, FRI?” Tony asked pulling up the tracker in Payton’s suit.
“She’s here, boss.” Tony sighed. If the kid messed with the suit again!
“FRIDAY refresh. Update suit location.”
“Boss she’s here.”
What was she talking about? Tony pinched the bridge of his nose. Wait! His web slinging, wall crawling protege was here.
“Son of a bitch.” he whispered looking up in time for Thor to be thrown through the door like a rag doll. Thor landed in a heap at his feet, He looked back to the door to see Spider- Girl stalking in,dragging Steve’s limp body behind her.
“These are your precious heroes?” Payton sneered as Thor struggled to get up, webbing him to the ground. “What do you owe them?” She asked as Steve laid limp on the floor. “They’ve done nothing but use you. Betray you. Seen you as nothing but a tool. Isn’t that what you told me?”
“Payton.” He said standing up raising his hands in a calming matter as he stepped in the center of the room. “Listen to me. Something’s wrong.”
“I agree.” She said black eyes staring at him emotionlessly. “You’ve let yourself be used like nothing. They don’t care for you anymore than Howard did. And yet you cling to Steve as if he could give you some catharsis.”
She would never say this. What’s wrong with her?
“Payton listen to me-”
“We don’t have to listen to you.”
“We?” Tony asked confused as he mentally willed his suit to come.
Payton smiled darkly as a black ooze spread from her right hand and stretched to cover her entire body, save her face. “We are Venom.”
She shot to him just as parts of his armor crashed the wall. Payton growled lunging for every part she could get her hands on, although his right hand piece made its way to him.
He looked to her again just in time to see her lunge for him.
“I’m never going to be good enough am I?!” She yelled twisting his arm and yanking the glove off. “No. You’d rather chase after some idea of a perfect father that never will be.”
She pinned him to the ground by sitting on his chest. “That will never exist!” She punched him in the face. “You know how I know that?” She punched him again. “My father. Uncle Ben. All abandoned me first chance you got.” She punched him a few more times to the point of his vision blurring and blood filled his mouth. “You won’t get that chance.”
He spit out the blood in his mouth before looking to her and freezing. His heart leaped to his throat. Her right arm was drawn back as her fingers were morphed into sharp black talons.
“Payton.” He begged.
She chuckled darkly as tears streamed down her face.
“Payton please.”
She snarled before screaming, her arm flying to him as he squeezed his eyes shut.
His eyes flew open as she screamed in time to see a blur of green and black fly over him. He turned onto his stomach, looking over to see Loki had grabbed Payton from behind and held her tightly.
Payton screamed as she struggled.
“Relax.” Loki hissed out as he moved his left arm to grab onto his upper right as his right hand let go. Loki then held his right hand in front of her face, snapping his fingers summoning a green light sphere.
Payton gasped sharply as he tossed the sphere in her face. Her struggling intensified as a layered scream escape her. The black ooze sinking back into her skin.
He didn’t know how long she struggled before she threw up what had to be a gallon full of black ooze that glowed green and slowly grew smaller. She gasped excruciatingly, blinking her blue eyes at Tony before falling limp in Loki’s arms.
“What... the hell... was that?!” Steve gasped. Tony looked over to see Steve had an arm wrapped around his middle and was leaning against the door way.
“That was Venom.” Thor explained from his spot on the floor. “A symbiotic creature thought to be extinct. Must’ve sneaked onto the ship.”
“If I didn’t think I would break my hand, I would punch you in your face.” Tony snarled as he dragged himself to Payton and Loki. “Will she be alright?”
“Physically? In a few days.”
What was left unsaid, was the mental damage would last much longer.
__________________________
Payton woke to a sound of steady beeping. She blinked up to see the familiar ceiling of the room she stayed in at the tower. How’d she get here? One second she was patrolling the next? Nothing.
She moved to sit up, gasping as pain shot through her stomach. She hasn’t felt this sick since her spider bite.
“Hey kid.” She looked over to see Tony with a bruised face sitting at her bedside.
“Oh my gosh.” She said breathlessly. “What happened to you?”
Tony bit his lip leaning closer to her. “What do you remember about last night?”
Payton closed her eyes trying to remember anything. Darkness surrounding her on a roof. Fighting Thor. Punching Captain America in the stomach. Punching-
Her eyes flew open as she stared at Tony. “I did that.” She realized in horror. “I-I said-”
“Kid-”
“I never should’ve- I didn’t mean-” He must’ve hated her. “I’m so sorry-”
“Payton.” he said wiping the tears that were streaming down her face. “It’s alright. It wasn’t you.”
“But everything I said and did-”
“Wasn’t you.”
“But it was.” She looked down at her hands. “Those men-”
“Are alive.”
“I didn’t.. I shouldn’t have-” She couldn’t hold back the sob that escaped her. Tony gently held her, letting her cry.
This was going to be hard for her, but she was a strong girl. They’d get through this.

Infinity War thoughts..spoilers below.
Loved Thanos as a villain. I thought he was going to be this power hungry baddie we’ve seen a thousand times, but they really fleshed him out and showed why he believes what he’s doing is right. And that he’s willing to sacrifice his own feelings for “the greater good,” something our heroes struggle with--and ultimately have to pay the price for it. That’s how you write a villain.
The Gamora/Thanos relationship was complex and heartbreaking.
Wished we got Baby Groot for one more movie.
Quill being jealous of Thor and impersonating him was gold.
Speaking of Thor, my beautiful badass. While Ragnarok was fun, this Thor felt more in character with the right balance of humor and seriousness.
MORE CAP. I needed more Cap and co in this. Cap, Nat, Bucky and Sam are my favorite team and they didn’t have a large role here. Though to be fair...it makes sense why the focus was more on the space characters. So I get it. But still. I can never have enough Team Cap.
Thor and Rocket were hilarious together. “Rabbit.” Lmao
I SEE YOU TYRION, I SEE YOU.
The cut bucktnat scenes pains me.
Peter calling Tony “Mr. Stark” is just adorable to me. Also, poor precious Peter he is too pure.
“I am Groot.” “I am Steve Rogers.”
Loki isn’t dead, guys. He was off camera long enough to come up with a plan and spin a very convincing illusion. His speech was riddled with hints that he was up to trickery. Plus his appearance is an illusion. It would have faded if he had died. And lastly, he is the God of MISCHIEF and master of illusions. Going after Thanos straight forward with just a dagger? Not his style.
Prettttty sure Avengers 4 will go back into time to the first Avenger movie, hence the photo’s of A4 where the costumes look like the A1 ones. But if they alter those events, won’t that effect all the ones that came after?
Yeah they’re going back in time. No way they are literally taking everything from Thor like...Sif is out there somewhere, so he’s got her. But I just don’t believe they’re going to wipe out all of Asgard.
The single scenario Strange saw them winning likely involved him handing over the time stone--and keeping Tony alive, who will figure it out.
For the amount of characters, I think the Russo’s did a damn good job. In general I just love the way they direct.
Thank heavens it’s only a year wait.
Please don’t kill off the originals in A4 I can’t handle that.
