But now I have to ask, where did you get the name Minjo from?? Now that i'm so used to the name I don't feel anything weird, but at first glance I was like 'Minjo..Minjo?? Is this a Chinese name' We don't... usually have names that end with -jo and I always wanted to ask you this lol

I was teaching English in Seoul while writing Blood Moon and the two characters with Korean names (JiAn and Minjo) are named after students I had.

JiAn was a very common name. I taught a lot of different JiAns. Minjo was less common, but there were several people I knew in Korea with -jo or -ju suffixes, so I didn't think it would be rare. I'm really sorry if I made a mistake.

Blood Moon is very closely linked to Korea. The city is inspired by Seoul. The characters by people I met there. I loved living there and I miss it.

It's really heart-warming to know you appreciated seeing a Korean character in Blood Moon.💙

I'll go one by one for the first one ( they don't have super special meanings or anything, just things they like )

Leo ofc has his stars! He just really likes space and the star motif is super cute!! He also has his scarf, its just got all their colors on it - he sewed on the little bits himself.

Mikey likes to make bracelets and has a MASSIVE collection, so he's always wearing em.

DONNIE HAS A TOOLBELT!!! It holds all his stuffs!

Raph has his ripped pants - which he wears exclusively to spite Leo. Also has some dogtags that he found on the ground and decided he was gonna keep forever ( for funsies )

I think Splinter probably thinks that Leo is too...irresponsible? He expects a certain degree of responsibility that Leo doesn't really hit. He also is transphobic :)

For Mikey he definitely seems to blame him for things that aren't his fault. On the other hand, Mikey is also very messy, hates doing chores and Splinter can't stand that.

Same sort of thing for Donnie, but much less so. Excuses it away with compliments and stuff. He is the favorite child after all.

For Raph its like he doesn't even know he exists. He barely talks to Raph or really??? Worries about him?? He's just overlooked due to being the same age as Donnie ig

They go out together all the time! They usually end up arguing, but its always a lot of fun! Sometimes Raph n Donnie stay at home, but almost always its all four of em. Raph and Mikey also go out on their own ( separately ) a lot.

Uhhhhhhh I am actually gonna hold off on answering that cause I have a comic I wanna make about one of Leo's habits ( tee he its just one of my habits but anyway ).

Raph chews on his mask tails. Not really unhealthy but def noticeable. Mikey chews his nails like so so bad. I'll add more when I think of em :)

Quietist is Donnie for sure, Raph is the loudest. Mikey is the second loudest. Leo can be loud if he needs to.

Leo spends the most time alone, he doesn't really have much going on as far as a social life. Raph has a lot of friends and that's usually who he's hanging out when he's out.

Raph is the most likely to go out in public. Sometimes its to spite Leo and sometimes he just wants to go hang out in the city. Occasionally he'll drag Mikey out with him.

Leo has been into space since he was a kid and he hasn't been able to shake it since, Mikey n Raph ofc have their art. Donnie has his tech. The last three are more like just huge aspects of their personalities at this point. Mikey has been watching Project Runway nonstop for like 2 years ( Leo got him into it )

I don't know any water brands- Raph and Mikey are the only two that actually drink water and I think they drink a store brand? Leo drinks tap water :) Donnie is eternally dehydrated

Made another two casts today (but didnt get any photos of my second one cause I had to run to catch my bus to make sure I wouldnt be late to work!)

My previous 'failed' cast is being bisqued today and then kilned over the weekend.

The plaster mold itself has some undercuts making the cast difficult to get out, but not impossible. My first try came out really nicely despite feeling quite stuck at first and I managed to easily attach the pieces together and cover the seam with some more slip.

I especially love the handheldness of the capsule. I am soo excitedd for the experince I'll be able to have holding the cushion after it's been fired.

Between my first and second cast today, I was told to carve open the pouring hold a little more so that the attachment could be more easily felled off.

My second cast did not go as well, as I opened the plaster cast too soon (as I was worried about the time). The slip was still wet and the interesting half of the cast warped a little and sank. I managed to attach the two halves and clean up the ugly seam before needing to rush out for my bus. I didnt get a photo of it, but because the 2nd one sank in, its lost the more spherical shape it had and has this slightly more geometrical look to it which is very interesting nonetheless.

OKAY FIRST OF ALL SAM IS ABSOLUTELLLYYY AMAZINGGG like i had so much problems with her characters especially in s2 but i love her sm in s3!!

he is definitely gonna frontline this era and omg yes I loved the reference to hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil but your observation is very clever like yeah they really aren't doing it properly ... and it is almost like gyu is "in charge". he definitely had a lot of good screen time like the way he smashes the ice?? Oiyaa terusss grgr aku di reminding-in bout books, aku jd inget lg how muchh I love books😭 (sebenernya love sih, tapi kayanya masih tahap like, tapi am crazy of it jadi gatau ini bisa called love apa ga😭) in this past few months aku sampe lupaa dan ga kepikiran samsek buat baca apapaaa. Sumpahh tp kayaa am super happy for no reason (sebenernya ada reason tapi kek happynya bisa alay gituloh) idk why😭😭 kaya alay bgt yaAllah ak😭😭. Terusss aku jadi kaya crazy gurl nyari buku kan. I got one book and an ebook dan aku superr happyy. Terus pas dah balik ke Solo, aku cari-cari kan dimana I can hunting good books yang funn, teruss aku ga sengaja baca twt orgg dia abis hunting di dkt masjid agung gt. Terus yaa I decided to go theree sm raraaa. I had sOoo much fun. Scan-read buku2 yang bahkan judulnya kamu gapernah denger. Drowning di lautan buku, meanwhile kamu gapunya tujuan pasti mo cari buku apa. Just you and the books (+ibu/bapaknya yg jualan), it’s awesome🥺. Terus kayaa time jalannya cepet bgtt, ak masi lyk michin-yeoja liat ini itu, adek aku bored😭😭 terus dia ngajak balik, tapi ksian juga si dia ga baca apaapa tapi jadi tumbal nemenin ak😭 terus yauda kita go homee and I adopt some books, padahal sampe hari ini aku blm baca semua😭 kek awalnya aku agak penasaran sama filosofi teras tapi blm jadiii, but maybe soon ok. (Update 2okt: aku udhh ada bukunyaa, tapi sayang sekaliw baru baca depannya). Ok. dann terrnyataa when aku busy with my things, my sissy took some pics there, and it’s awesome

Trustrusss abis itu pada suatu hari, galama aku deciding to sepedaan by myself. Kekkkk u knowoww pertama kali sepedaan aku jg happy bgt udh kek org gila😭 tbh aku takut (ga bgt, b aja sebenernya) dikira org gila krn smile sendiri😭 tp untung ada masker kan jadi ya minimize risk di judge org🙏🏻 tau gasih level happynya tuh sampe aku ngomong loudly-sama aku sendiri (ga di dalem hati) “aku happyy”😭 udh sakit ni org, tp gapapa lah yg penting aku happy ok🥺 proud of u. Tbh lagi, aku gatau sih knp kebanyakan fotonya pas di kraton..

Trus tau gasih in the last sepedaan time ku aku mampir smansa buat ketemu pak bandi dan itu kaya ada interconnection gt bs pas bgt ketemu (padahal +tragedi puter balik karena kepikiran mau ketemu)🥺🥺 kekkkkkkk omg am complete, terus aku mampir spensa (ini makin aneh sih) terus gaada siapasiapa.. (adasih tapi aku gatau) jadi yaudah I go home trs pas aku masih happy, sampe rumah ada tragedy yg bikin ak miserable dan sedih bgttt (tapi galama) terus papa janji ga lagi, then post itu papa jd gaenak badan kan 1mgg-an, makanya jgn aneh2😡😭 (tp aku ngerasa berdosa, apa papa jadi kualat sama aku? Bs gt gasih😭😭 maafin nesa pap krn ak just wish yg the best😭) tp alhamdulillahnya udh membaik🖤
