1.) A few different things got me into STH! It started with my sister getting me to play TMOSTH, then she got me to read idw (where I started to learn how to draw the characters) then my other sister's boyfriend got me Sonic Unleashed and then it took over my entire soul 💕. I'm actually making a comic about it for a class lol

2.) I'll assume you're asking about the teams on Heroes. Tails, Shadow, Amy, Espio are my faves from them :)

3.) Yes and I'm SOOOO EXCITED.... I'm being Maria for Halloween and I'm gonna wear that costume to the movies (I have a shadow the hedgehog plush as an accessory)

4.) DBZ, TMNT (2003, 2012), FNAF, Undertale (base game, not AUs), Dr. Stone (anime only), FMAB, and MP100. (I'm prolly missing some)

5.) just woke up so I am eepy 💕

Your butterfly Howdy- so so so obsessed!! please tell me you thoughts I love him!! The thought of him simply falling from his chrysalis in a big sopping mess is so real™ , true butterfly moment

i would be Delighted to Talk. i always am. i have many thoughts always about everything. especially This. gonna add a cut so there's not a wall of text on my blog

okay so 1) i don't think he'd give any warning that he's gonna turn into a chrysalis. probably because he wouldn't realize it's happening bc like... those good ol caterpillar instincts took over <3 also it probably made him very very eepy

in his perspective, he took a nap and woke up spontaneously Different. everybody else had to deal with a solid few weeks of him being a chrysalis. and it's not like he was resting inside it - there is soooo much going on in metamorphosis, caterpillars/butterflies Do Not Rest At All

so when he emerges from the chrysalis (as a pathetic wet rag of a man <3) he's just... so out of it. his memory is a little fucky for a bit, he's weak, & he's exhausted to the point where the only time he's awake is to eat (gotta get that energy back!). that's it. he's dead asleep, wakes up, demolishes an entire bowl of fruit, and passes back out. can't even speak coherently.

he slowly gains lucidity until he's functional. he has a small period of time where he's kind of delirious/loopy from an overdose on Sleep, and it's hell on earth for everyone to deal with. i like to think that his main Watchers during this time are Poppy and Barnaby, both bc they're both big enough to wrangle him and bc of obvious reasons. (Poppy is a worrier and Barnaby is in love with Howdy)

when Howdy's loopyness wears off, he's still very tired and a bit spacey, but hey! he reopens the bodega! not that he needs to, since everyone was getting stuff from it anyway. he has a lot of IOU's in the never-used cash register <3 and lots of sweet notes. everyone missed him <3

so for a while when he's functional-but-Exhausted, he's a bit of a grouch. he simply does not have the energy to deal with Shenanigans and Excitement. if anyone walks into the bodega he's basically like "get your shit and get out, thank you, bye". he still sometimes nods off at the counter. eepy eepy bug.

and i don't think he'd really like his new appearance at first? i get the vibes that he Didn't want to pupate OH MY GOD THAT'S THE WORD! I'VE BEEN USING CHRYSALIZE WHICH ISNT EVEN A WORD BC I FORGOT 'PUPATE'. FUCK!, so he was subconsciously putting it off and was able to live for such a long time as a caterpillar.

but oopsie! he lost the battle of biological will! now he's got So Much Fluff and wings and claws and longer antennae and like... he's blue now. that would probably be at least a little unsettling, especially since he didn't realize it was going to happen. also he has to tailor all of his clothes to fit the wings and the Fluff.

plus, i imagine butterfly/moth wings are a Bitch to deal with. they don't fold like bird or bat wings, and they're kinda delicate - though due to Howdy's size, i'm sure they're more durable than a normal butterfly's - so i bet they are Constantly In The Way. (Barnaby probably makes a joke about how "Eddie's supposed to be the clumsy one" after Howdy knocks over a display with his wings for the umpteenth time. cue Barnaby getting kicked out of the store)

it takes a while for Howdy to get them under Control. they'd probably give away ever emotion he has. angry/frustrated? fluttering like crazy. thinking happy/fluffy thoughts or daydreaming? slow opening-closing. sad/pensive? droopy wing cape. stressed/high-strung? closed tight like a book. etc.

(similarly, his antennae are Very expressive! this is not something he can control unless he focuses extra hard. within a week Frank has memorized what each curl and twitch means)

but once Howdy has reconciled with his new appearance & has wrangled his wings, He Is So Fruity And Even More Eccentric. he fell outta that chrysalis and went "im gay now! 🧚‍♂️💅" kidding Kidding. kind of.

idk why, just... i feel like he gets a confidence boost. he realizes hes a Pretty Boy™️. he's like "this is what it must feel like for Eddie when he does drag". he's got that extra fruity Flair yk yk.

and sure, flowers are a little more distracting to Howdy than they used to be, prefers fruit over greenery, and he can't resist taking a short break every day to sun his wings, but other than that things are mostly normal. he's just extra pretty now.

yk the two boys who were trying to get 18+ stuff and mahiro let them borrow hers? welll one of them is trans :3 (and likes the other im pretty dsmn sure)

nemu (the cute eepy girl that sits infront of mahiro) becomes an actual character that mahiro spends alot of time with (shes my favvorriiite :33)

theres also a few extra chapters that wouldve taken place in the anime that got cut. go give the manga a read (mangadex has it free AND translated!)

agwawawa i AM actually tempted now. i initially wanted to wait for s2, partly bc the animes artstyle is soooo pretty. but now... i'll take a look when i got the time :33c THANK U

i theoretically have so many deranged and wonderful things to say about 9.1 but i will try to be Concise and Normal:

1. i have synesthesia and ohhh boy did my weird little brain go nuts over another thea wiseatom chapter. picture the strawberry and cheese scene in ratatouille except instead of strawberry and cheese it’s the most delectable and exquisite ice cream.

2. knowing (and remembering !!) the Little Things about someone has got to be one of the best ways of expressing love to exist. i was physically giggling and kicking my feet over how sweet and thoughtful they are with each other.

3. i feel like i’m right there in the trenches with will my goodness. every little fluctuation of mike’s behavior or the vibe/emotions between them had my pacing the floor and tearing my hair out. i know we’ve established that neither of them are the most reliable of narrators but when it comes to will’s internal monologue, perception of events, etc. oh boy do i fall for it.

there are so many aspects of their relationship to tackle in this universe and i’m sure this goes without saying but the emotional “world-building” seems just as vast as the physical/geographical. this is an absolute behemoth of a fic and i don’t just mean because of its word count. will never not be grateful for the work that all of you have put in for this and for sharing it with us.

that was neither Concise nor was it Normal but i hope the rest of this year and the start of the next treats you well, can’t wait for 9.2 :)

ohhh i will also try to be so concise and normal and respond on each point even though this ask made me feel anything but Concise and Normal:

i am printing out this point and taping it to my wall. that is possibly theee biggest compliment i have ever received (i have never seen ratatouille all the way through -- i fell asleep watching it for the first time a few weeks ago bc i was so eepy and sleepy, but this made me inspired to finish the rest)

that's so real and also true. it's funny, because when i originally wrote the dialogue out, i forgot to include that bit about the callback to follow the sparks -- and then suni watched me write it in and was giggling and twirling her hair at the reference to her fic lol. but i agree that it is SOOOOO. SOOOOOOOOOOO. yeag .

i'm so glad that will being very analytical of mike's every move came across well because i was worried his behavior would read erratic and unrealistic. sending you and will both well wishes of getting out of the trenches soon <3

im super hyped for beyond beyond beyond. since arcturus beaming is already an EXCELLENT song and from what little i’ve heard from the other new songs (from like, concert recordings and stuff) i’m really looking forward to hearing them all properly. i really like the instrumentals in arcturus beaming, love how it sounds, love that theres a minute long instrumental at the end ??? im. spinning it. chewing on it. would love to know what all of the lyrics are one day (i’ll find them dw…).

as for the tcg announcements… i would LOVE to get some. i still need to get proper protective sleeves for last round’s collection. really looking forward to seeing the art drop, that was honestly the best part of last time’s, they’re all so pretty and everyone did such an amazing job. i’d probably fork out for a rare/signed? mumbo this round though lol i gotta have my guy <3
