you feel her behind you, closer than when you had muttered those stupid, damning words. her fingers gently traced your neck, and you closed your eyes, the yearning in your soul up to its brink of expression. each breath you take is shaky, is heavy. you tilt your head aside, desperate to feel her warmth on your skin forever.

you open your eyes when you feel her breath on your neck. she must've noticed your body's reaction, because she paused, and remained still. lilia traces her fingers down your body, to your hips. she stops here, her lips close to your ears, as her body presses into your back.

you lean into her, your head slightly leaning back, at the pure and utter pleasure you feel being so close to her. her lips part, and with such composure, yet so little solidity, she delivers a line that would come to send shivers down your spine. "i have loved you since i saw you the first time, long ago. i am consumed and rattled by you at every waking second.." her hands pull you in, and you hum at the gesture. your eyes are closed, not because you hate this, or don't want to be there, but because the way you long for her in this moment now is too painful for you to bear. a lump forms in your throat when you feel her wet cheek graze your neck. she was in tears, and you needed to console her; but how? how should you console her now? you did not have much time to think. her lips, warm, soft, and gentle, were on your neck. the kiss she blessed your skin with felt like one that existed prior to the world, and forever past the present. it was torture, it was devastation, when she pulled away. it hurt, it was brutal.. so brutal, your lips parted, and you gasped quietly. your hand reached back for her head, and you enveloped your fingers in the curly, silver locks of her hair. you held her head close to yours, as her thumbs rubbed gently upon your hips. her voice broke as she completed her confession, and your heart broke with it; you'd do anything to protect her, to keep her from harm. "i'm a witch, y/n.. how could you ever love a witch?"

your eyes opened, and you stopped breathing, for just a moment. you were sure you'd heard wrong. with a furrowed brow, and a worrisome expression, you broke away from her touch, from her hold. you turned to her, and your head tilted to the side, as tears began to form in your waterline. the sight of her, so weak, so doubtful of herself, so ashamed.. your heart shattered like a broken mirror.

her face was lined with streaks of wet. she had cried for this, she suffered for it. she couldn't even look at you, her eyes were avert.

your hands raced to cup her cheeks, and you gently wipe away her tears. her lips part, in astonishment, followed by her eyes meeting your gaze. finally, you saw those beautiful eyes again. your heart skipped a thousand beats at the sight of those irises. you smile, and your face softens. "lilia.." you whisper, your forehead pressed against hers now, "i've loved you since the sun rose opposite the moon. i've chased you in all of my wildest dreams. i've loved you in every moment and i would not stop because of what you are or are not." at your notation, her lips fold into a smile. she grabs your wrists softly, holding them. once more you spoke, "you are my witch, my little piece of divinity. you are mine, and my heart is yours." you watch as her eyes move from your eyes to your lips, and you wish for nothing but her to kiss you.

after all these years, of being her "friend", you have never wanted anything more than for her to kiss you. it's like an insatiable hunger you cannot destroy.

lilia bites her lip, and she grabs your chin with her pointer finger and her thumb. you start to breath heavy, and your heart begins to race. she brings your face to hers, so close that your lips graze against one another’s. you ache for her, you long for her. you need to taste her, to merge your body, your soul, your heart, with hers. you need her to kiss you.

and she does. her lips mesh with yours in perfect harmony, like the melody of heaven’s sea. your mind is adrift, clouded. you cannot form a thought, you do not desire to form a thought. her unaccompanied hand caresses the small of your back, and you pull her closer with the hands you hold on her face.

she slips her tongue along your bottom lip, and you moan softly into the kiss. her grip on your chin releases, and she holds your jaw instead. she guides you through the long, heart-felt kisses. her lips control your body, your mind.

warmth builds between your thighs, and your head is still covered by nothing but a blanket of emptiness. lilia is the first to pull away, her lack of oxygen in her lungs being the culprit. you curse the living necessity of air.

you yourself breathe heavy, panting almost. lilia’s lipstick is smudged, and you smirk at the notion that you've just kissed this marvel of a woman. she notices your cocky smile, and a single eyebrow lifts. she now wore a smirk herself.

“you're looking at me like you've just seen me naked, y/n.” you chuckle when she says this. “while i wouldn't be opposed to that, i'm just a little satisfied with the fact that in the midst of kissing me, you forgot about your lipstick.”

her smirk faded and her lips parted again, she pop looked offended, but you could tell it was just her beautiful sense of sarcasm.

“fix it for me?” she asked this with a lower tone and a wink, and you felt your core throb at the sound of her voice. she wanted you to kiss her again.

you ran your tongue across your bottom lip, and you couldn't help your smile. her hands guided your face close, and you pushed a curl behind her ear. she grew desperate, unable to wait. her lips caught yours, and you shut your eyes at the contact. in your head you pictured her eyes, beautiful and brown, like the rock embedded and shaded on the side of a mountain. your grip on her hair tightened as she pushed you back softly, making sure not to break the kiss. her lips were soft, so soft it felt like the comfort a pillow brings in the hour of sleep. you moan as your lower back makes contact with her counter, and your head leans back, which breaks the embrace.

the wetness between your thighs grows, and you figure your underwear must be utterly ruined. lilia's fingers stroked your hair, and she shook her head slightly, a whisper following shortly. i actually really like their relationship, its a really complex dynamic that i like to talk about with my friends

i think the issue is that when talking about mithan or mia in general, theres just SO MUCH misinformation that its honestly a pain the butt to talk about

people still think that she was responsible for the creation of eveline, people still think that she experimented on eveline, people still use examples of her attacking ethan as if she did it on her own will instead of being mind controlled

in reality she was just someone who oversaw the transportation of evie. im not excusing her or anything because obviously she knew what she was doing, but people really try to accuse her of doing something she didnt and it bothers me alot lol

the problem with the fandom is that people either try to water her down to girlboss who did nothing wrong and fail to acknowledge the complexity/ moral grayness of her character and the other side is misogynists 😭😭😭😭

its hard to talk about her without people either going "stop trying to villainize her and make her look bad!" or people ACTUALLY villainizing her and acting like heisenberg would have treated him better 😭😭

mithan is such a sad relationship because they loved each other so much and that ended up being the reason their relationship fell apart (sort of... its not like the broke up... ethan kinda just straight up died)

i get a lot a trouble for saying this, but mia is a selfish person.

its not a bad thing! well i mean it is but it doesnt make her some evil witch who is somehow worse than the guy how made a werewolf american ninja warrior. its just a major character flaw she has! which is good! mia being a flawed person who makes mistakes and morally gray decisions make her a more interesting person!

she is selfish in the way that she wants to keep her family with her no matter the cost. even if it means lying to ethan about her job so that he wont think different of her. here is a interrogation from the re7 DLC, which is easy to miss!

she isnt necessarily trying to apologize for the things she has done, she is more of a, "u wont need to forgive me in the first place if we just forget it all and move on"

she doesn't try to redeem herself for what she has done, she tries to move on and return to the normal life that she wants so bad. which is fine! everyone copes a different way and she has to right to move on from her trauma. the problem that lies in this is that she has a shared trauma with ethan who still has no idea what went on in dulvey and still effects him till the present (he is mold! this is a important thing to know! most people would want to know if they were a walking corpse)

she played a direct part in what happened in dulvey, and im not referring to the email, she did not send that. she never wanted ethan to come in the first place. she tried her best to send a video to him, begging him to forget about her because she wanted to protect him, BUT it didnt send.

he got involved because she was involved. its honestly a series of really really unfortunate events.

THOUGH! she did know what she was getting into. im tired of seeing the narrative that mia was innocent and didnt know what was going on or was simply a bystander. she knew what she was doing, she knew eveline was a bioweapon, she knew eveline was a child. she used a MACHINE GUN! she knows how to use weapons and was obviously trained for it.

she tried her best to keep everybody out of the mess, ex: warning the bakers not to take them in, warning ethan not to find her, sacrificing herself for ethan in the later half of re7

but again, those are the consequences of HER actions

her consequences just happen to get really big and end up hitting ethan on the head like a metal sheet 😭

their relationship is really so interesting, it makes me really sad to think about sometimes 😭they both went through something that nobody else would ever understand, in the end they really only have each other. they get moved to an entire different country and the dulvey incident gets covered up with a "gas leak"

its really tragic because their marriage definitely had some flaws and bumps. and i know im repeating myself but its because people always take this in the worst way possible but just because i say their relationship was rocky doesnt mean im saying they dont love each other!!! thats the entire basis of mias character!! saying she doesnt love ethan would destroy her entire character!

you can see in the re8 DLC how fondly ethan talks about mia! he loves her so much, though im not sure if his comments in the DLC are him narrating current (post re8) or his thoughts before everything went down and he died (pre re8)

everything mia did was because she LOVED ethan. she would never do anything to intentionally hurt him, she is not a cruel person. she hides the truth of her job from ethan pre re7 because she loves him and doesnt want her job to drive them apart. she CONTINUES to refuse to tell ethan the truth post re7 because she wants to move on a live a happy normal life with him and knows something like her being directly associated with the connections would probably cause (more) problems. she refuses to tell ethan that he is mold because again, hard to live a happy marriage with your husband after you tell him hes a bioweapon.

obviously i dont think it was right that she did this, thats what makes her selfish! she did it for herself! she did it for her family! she thought it would work out, she thought that they could move on and be happy together.

the issue is that ethan didnt want to forget. he wanted to know what happened, he wanted to know the part mia played, he wanted answers! which is reasonable! he knows to some extent that mia was partially responsible for his involvement and he was always suspcious that mia was lying to him about her job which is implied when mia says "you were right, i did lie to you"

she doesnt learn, she doesnt stop lying, her lies get bigger and worse and it sucks yeah but it makes her so interesting!!! she keeps doing stupid things under the idea that this is whats best for her and her family, that if she hides this everything will work out and it will be for the better but its not!

just because telling your husband hes dead and a bioweapon is a hard subject to bring up doesnt mean you DONT bring it up. people shouldnt use that as a reason to excuse mia 😭, its a very bad excuse and honestly highlights how horrible their communication skills were. you cant just not tell your husband that he is actually infected with the mold and not tell him for the tree years between post re7 and pre re8.

im not saying these things to put mia down, or try and villanize her. these are all just actual things her character does! she isnt evil, but she isnt a knight in shining armor either. we need to be able to have talks about complex characters without crying everytime someone points out a flaw. characters have flaws! and mia just happens to have a lot of them!

im not mad at her, i dont dislike her because i think this way of her. shes a fictional character! you can like characters that are morally gray, or villains that drink blood and make corpse soldiers. they are fictional! pointing out the flaws of a character does not mean i dont like them.

i wouldnt call her "the real villain of re8" but i wouldnt treat her like a damsel in distress either. she is a competent person, she knows what shes doing, she has her reasons for doing them. she made bad descions with good intentions behind them! they can coexist and we should let them!

i like mithan! its a complex relationship because they both love each other so much but hurt each other in the process

talking about them is just a pain in the butt because talking about mia is a pain in the butt lol

i really hate how she keeps getting sidelined, its super frustrating to see mia get put in a cage in every game 😭

its even more frustrating that mia straight up just disappears???? in the shadows of rose DLC... like she just stops taking care of rose and theres nothing said about it. no reason or explanation. i dont think mia would ever ditch rosemary because she didnt care about her, but we probably will never know because capcom sucks at writing and they probably forgot the mia ever even existed.

all in all, i think the fandom is really just full of misinformation which make people either think mia is some horrible evil person, or its full of people who think that saying mia messed up is the equivalent of comparing her to wesker lol.

i really love mia, shes a incredibly fun and complex character, its just hard to enjoy her sometimes with the people in the fandom haha.

also ive got no idea what u meant by "the backlash against them/mia accusations" so sorry if i didnt answer that!

The first thing John reached when he woke was his phone. He expected a reply from you - anything, but his messages from the night before hadn’t even been delivered.

Instead, Gaz’s texts awaited along with missed calls from Simon and Kate.

JP you getting cookies today? I swear they’re addictive

His headache was gone, but he still groaned as he got out of his comfortable bed, dreading the team meeting at the factory. He’d get chewed up for his ambitious blunder in Jeddah, and also for being late because he forgot to set his bloody alarm.

“Cap, I got you breakfast!” Kyle exclaimed when John entered the meeting room. “It’s your regular. Hot chocolate, right?”

“Thanks, Gaz.” He offered a small smile as he took the seat next to Simon who nodded at him.

It was then he noticed the aforementioned breakfast was wildly familiar. In the middle of the table sat a box of cookies, next to it, a cup with Kyle scribbled in the handwriting of his favourite woman.

“You went to the shop?” he asked carefully, his eyes flicking to his teammate.

“Yeah, when you didn’t reply, I figured you were still sleeping. She really got me when she pretended to not know you though.” He chuckled. “Funny birdie. But Soap’s right, she’s even prettier in real life.”

His heart stopped. He whipped his phone out. You’d read his messages.

“I’ve got to go,” he muttered before sprinting out.

“Cap! What the fock!” Simon exclaimed. “We need to-“

John’s McLaren screeched to a halt in front of your shop. He didn’t bother putting on a mask before storming through the door. He froze when his gaze met yours, and you turned away. He made his way across the shop and behind the counter to follow you, but Evie stood in his way.

She craned her neck, eyes narrowed at him with a finger jabbing his chest. “I don’t care who you are,” she began, her Texan drawl deepened. “You’re in my territory and I will not hesitate to beat your ass if she wants me to, so you better make things right.”

He blinked before she moved away for him to stare at the door of your office. He hadn’t rehearsed any sort of speech for the occasion. He just wanted to salvage what was left, if there was anything at all. He let out shaky breath as he knocked and turned the knob.

There you were behind your desk, frowning with your arms crossed over your chest.

The door clicked behind him. He stood there unable to meet your glare as he braced for you to yell at him, but the silence dragged on.

“I wanted to apologise,” he mustered finally.

“Was this some sort of sick test?”

“No. I promise it’s nothing like that.” He lifted his gaze. “I’m sorry, love. I never meant to fool or trick you.”

“Then why lie?”

“I just wanted to be a regular lad. I wanted you to like me for me.”

Your arms dropped to your sides. “And did I not, John?” you asked, but it sounded more like a plea.

“You did. You gave me normal and I’ve enjoyed every single second with you. You’re make me feel you like me for who I am, that you don’t want anything else but me. You make it so easy.”

You shook your head. “I don’t understand.”

He hung his head. “It’s my fault. I was selfish. When you told me about not wanting long-distance, I got scared. I didn’t want to lose you, but it’s no excuse. You have the right to know and I’m so sorry. I should have told you right away.”

“What do you expect me to say?” You laughed dryly. “Thanks for wasting months of my life believing we were going to be something?”

“We are.” His head snapped to you. “You know who I am now. I know it’s a lot to take in and it’s a huge ask, but please, could we try?”

“How do you think I can trust you again? After all this… And with how much you’re away. How… How do you think I’d feel?”

The silence continued.

He was shameless to ask after what he’d done. The least he could do was walk away after breaking your trust, yet he whispered, “Is there hope for us?”

“I don’t know. I don’t think I can do this.”

“Are we… Are we over?” He forced the words out.

“Why did you have to make it so hard, John…” You choked, and a tear fell. And another, and another.

Would he only make things worse if he went over this desk that spread like an ocean between you? All he wanted was to pull you close and tell you he would do anything to keep you in his life. Instead, you made your way to the door as you wiped your tears away with the back of your hand.

The bond he’d formed with you was unravelling before his very eyes. This might very well be the last time he saw you, yet there he was breaking your heart again. With how fast the warmth between you dissipated, how the sweet memories disintegrated, was any of this ever real, or had he been hallucinating all this time?

“I'll wait for you. If you ever change your mind, or just want to talk- anything. Please call me anytime.”

You turned the knob.

“I’m sorry, love,” he said quietly, staring at the back of your head. “I’m sorry it had to go this way.”

“Me too.”

You opened the door for him - his cue to leave. His heart sank deeper, somewhere he didn’t know existed as he let out a shaky breath.

When he shut the door of his car, the tears finally poured out of him.

John’s nine days off in London didn’t mean anything if he moped in his apartment the entire time.

Kyle knew he’d done something when his teammate came back to the factory with puffy eyes. When prompted, he simply averted his gaze and said “Please don’t go there again.”

Still, Gaz, Soap and Ghost came to visit him at his place almost every day bearing food. It was embarrassing how his appetite was out the window, that no salmon teriyaki or blueberry anything prodded his hunger at all.

He wanted you. All he wanted was to go to yours and curl up in your bed for the next month.

Alas, at the end of March, they flew to Melbourne for Australian GP. He put on a practiced smile, but when the team returned, once more, he spent his days cooped up at home waiting for the next race in Japan. Still sitting by his phone, still hoping for something from you.

It had been over two weeks since the conversation in your office.

How were you doing? Did you think about him at all? Did you look him up?

John wondered if you saw the photo of the doodle you did on his cup before Christmas. He still hadn’t decided if he should leave the photos up: the dinners you made him over the months that always started a flurry of speculations in the comments. If he did, would you think he was shameless? And if he took them down, would you think he’d moved on?

“Let’s go do something, JP,” Kyle said at his bedroom door that Friday afternoon. “It’s a nice day out and the lads are bored.”

JP. He wondered if you’d chucked him, or baked him in the oven with your cookies, or used him as a toilet brush.

He didn’t even tear his gaze away from the TV. “Nah.”

Kyle strode over. “You need to eat, John. You can’t survive on crisps like that.” He gathered the empty bags on his nightstand.

“Still here, aren’t I?”

“Oh, who’s that?” He pointed at his phone.

John bolted up to grab his silent phone and glared at the lad who grinned at him.

“Get up right now.” He slapped his shoulder. “Or I’m getting Ghost and Soap to haul you out your bed.”

Kyle’s shiny Mercedes G-Wagon turned into the new dog park not far from John’s apartment.

“Gaz?” Johnny perked up in the back seat, alarm in his voice.

He cut the engine and looked into the rearview mirror. “Relax, we’ll go to the part for the small dogs if you’re that scared.”

Not convinced, he turned to Simon next to him. “Can you give me a piggyback ride?”

Okay, maybe Kyle was right. John needed to go out and see the sun, because the puppies barking and running around him took his mind off you a little.

He chuckled at how the muscular Johnny yelped as he dodged the tiny dogs charging at him. As usual, Kyle filmed it all while Simon had wondered off into the other section to play fetch with the big dogs.

When a blond-grey pooch jumped into his lap, his heart sank. It was a Yorkshire Terrier, just like Holden, the lost dog you rescued. The memories surged.

He got up to sit on the bench in the corner. He marvelled at the dimming sky in the distance and took his mask off. It was no use if Kyle was with him in plain sight anyway.

The mask had started it all.

Would things have been different without it? Would he have given you a second thought if you’d known who he was, when he had no way of knowing your intentions? If you’d treated him like how a typical fan would, fawning over him, incapable of looking past the manufactured façade of an F1 driver who had it all? Would you have given him a chance if you knew about the distance?

John leaned back and laughed to himself. There was no point in wallowing when he couldn’t change a thing. It was always if if if, right? ‘If my mum had balls, she would be my dad,’ as a very wise Red Bull Dutchman once said.

In another part of the city, your shop had closed for the day. A woman in a grey suit cracked the door open, her long, dark locks flowed behind her as she wheeled her luggage in. Behind the counter, you perked up at the sound and she gave you an empathetic smile.

“Come here, girl,” Nicole said, spreading her arms out.

You ran right to her and she crushed you in her ever-comforting hug.

It’d been two weeks of barely eating and lost sleep. Days of Christy, Sophie and Evie never leaving your side, bringing you lunch and volunteering to close just so you could relax at home. You wished you weren’t so upset anymore, but still, you sniffled as soon as you saw your dear friend.

A renowned lawyer, Nicole’s schedule was packed, but you could always count on her. You couldn’t thank her enough for making the time to see you as soon as she was back in the city.

On the nearest table, you placed a cup of matcha latte for her. She pulled her chair next to yours as you told her about what happened with John.

“I looked him up. He’d been posting the food I made him. And that show that keeps popping up on my Netflix? It’s him on the cover in his orange helmet. And I hate that on Google there are all these photos with-“ You sighed. “He can have anyone, Nic, and I’m just me.”

“I can’t have you saying stuff like that in front of me.” She shook her head, gripping your shoulders. “I know some days we don’t want to look in the mirror, days we’re not who we want to be, but you’re so much more than that. “That’s not for you to decide. You say he could have anyone, well, it doesn’t matter if he only wants you. You think I don’t notice whenever I get my coffee? It’s sickeningly sweet, the way he looks at you. Always with that loving gaze when he watches you work.” She chuckled. ”He’s so silly. Probably thinks no one can see with his cap over his face, but I bet he was grinning under his mask.

“He’s so down bad, always willing to help out. You don’t need any of your girls if he’s around, he’s more than willing to run the shop with you. I mean- I love you, and I say it with my chest, girl, but I’m not cleaning for free.”

You laughed between the tears.

“I’m not saying what he did was okay. It’s not at all, but I think he had his own doubts too. Probably just as scared of getting hurt, never knowing who to trust, but I don’t think he meant to hurt you.” She grabbed your hand. “Have you ever doubted what he feels about you?”

You shook your head, lips pulling into a tentative smile. “No matter where he was, I knew he’d always be a call away. He never made me feel like I was an afterthought.”

“I’m not trying to change your mind. You’re allowed to be scared, but don’t let it stop you. If you still feel the same about him, if you can still trust… I think one day, maybe far in the future, you’d be glad you tried.” She smiled to herself. “I know I am.”

She knew what she was talking about.

Nic had her own John. It was love at first sight, if there was one. When they met, he was still a captain in the SAS, had mutton chops, smoked cigars, loved bucket hats and beanies. You remembered how the distance terrified her too, and the risky nature of his job didn’t help. She’d call you late at night in tears when he went dark too long, sometimes would even stay over at yours for days. But as time had proved, nothing could stand between them.

“Love like that is a privilege. Sometimes it has to hurt, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My John, he makes it all worth it.”

You wrapped your arms around her. “Half of the UK really is called John.”

She laughed, stroking your hair. “You deserve to be loved, girl, even if you can’t see it yet.”

Still at the park, lost in his thoughts as the lasts of the sun fizzled out, John almost missed his phone ringing in his pocket. His breath hitched. It was you.

“Hello?”

You let out a long exhale and he closed his eyes, imagining he was there with you in the silence that followed. He’d wrap himself in the second and curl up in its warmth forever.

“John, I want to see you.”

His eyes flew open. “What?”

“I miss you.”

Your whisper, wispy thin, sent shivers down his spine. “Fuck- I miss you.” He laughed as he let out a shaky breath, rubbing a hand down his face. “I miss you so much.”

John could have sworn Kyle was dewy-eyed when he dropped him off in front of your building.

“All the best, mate,” he said, patting his shoulder.

When you opened your door, the maskless John almost whimpered at the sight of you. You pulled him into a hug and he sighed into your hair. How did your embrace effortlessly piece the shards of his heart together?

“Love, if you would give me another chance…” he breathed, blue eyes looking right into yours.

“Would you promise to never lie again?”

“I swear. I’ll always tell you everything.”

You led him to the couch. “John, if we’re really doing this. I need you to know it will take me some time to get used to things. I might get worried if you don’t reply every few hours. Might want to call you every night, might miss you too much it annoys you.”

He grasped your hands on your lap. “Why are you saying that like I don’t want that? That I won’t miss you too?”

“You’re used to all this, and I’m not.”

“I’m not either. I’m used to seeing you, having dinner with you.”

“I just don’t want you to resent me. If, maybe, I get clingy sometimes…”

“I never can. I don’t want you to change. What we have, it’s more than I could ever ask for, so I’ll try my best to make it as easy as possible for us.” He paused. “When you’re ready, I want you to meet my friends, my manager. Maybe I can take you to the factory too?”

The corner of your lips tugged. “Does it feel like people are always watching when you’re out?”

“That’s why I wear a mask, but I don’t want to wear one with you anymore.” He smiled. “It’s always a hassle when I want to kiss you, and I want to show you off, if you’d let me.”

You scooted closer and rested your head against his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around you, kissing the top of your head.

“Would it be fine to send me postcards when you’re away?”

“Of course, love.” He laughed. “I’ll send you one from each city.”

You exhaled shakily as your eyes scanned the caption you'd drafted in your notes app. You didn't even tear your eyes away from the screen as Charles slumped down onto the couch next to you. "Everything okay mon amour?" You swallowed and nodded, offering your phone to him so he could read the caption. He was silent for a minute before he turned to look at you, tears in his eyes, "I am so so proud of you." You smiled, feeling yourself getting emotional, sniffling a little as he pulled you into him. You led there with him just enjoying the quiet comfort he provided before he spoke once more, "When are you going to post it?" You giggled and sat up, Charles following suit, "Are you gonna just drop it on instagram with no warning again?" You winked at him before unlocking your phone and typing out the post. Once you'd proofread it you hit 'post', immediately locking your phone and turning your notifications off as they already started pouring in. Charles gaped at you for a moment before scrabbling to find his phone, not struggling to locate it as it buzzed and vibrated constantly with new notifications, "You could have given me time to prepare!"
