The idea of Salmonid skeletons has been tormenting me for like a week please send help. Are they basically just a fish skeleton or is there bits of "humanoid" in deez beaches?

Yeah, so I wanna try getting into theory/head canon stuff, especially for Splatoon, but it's definitely gonna be one of those "if I get around to it" things.

Since I'm trying to get back into creating original content again (especially once Art Fight's done), I gotta figure out a "schedule" for how much time I spend on webcomics vs fandom stuff.

Nature is super cool! Against all expectations, Canada has a large, living and healthy coral reef off the coast of BC.

Apparently the indigenous people who fish in the area have known something was up for like, a long time, but the reef is in a deep and dark fjord and was unconfirmed until scientists sent a submersible down there.

I'm a strong "percy would get a job in education/outreach to underprivileged kids in the future" truther but I don't necessarily agree with people who say that him taking on marine biology as a college major doesn't make sense at all

"why would he study marine biology he can already work with sea animals to his heart's desire" I don't know maybe because he wants to get paid???????? he wants a normal job???? percy grew up poor and unsafe. why is it weird that he craves stability with a career that enables him to do something that he loves? or maybe he wants to go into the system and help bring about lasting reform that will actually improve care for sea creatures??? yes he can save sea animals on his own time but think about it. is it better to abandon his life in the middle of the night to go help a trapped sea creature Every Single Time it happens or is it better to enter the system and make it so that capitalists stop polluting water or disturbing sea ecosystems for profit. his powers as a son of poseidon are a band-aid not a lasting solution to systemic environmental neglect and decay. he has an established precedent of caring for bringing about systemic change (see: turning down immortality) and for me this is no different (I just personally headcanon him wanting to bring change for disadvantaged kids but whatever)

to me this logic is like telling an exceptional artist that there's no point in going to art school to become a professional when they can already just do art on their own time for fun. like yeah....... if you're content with doing that as just a hobby. but what if you want to become an even better artist and learn new skills. what if you want to do it as a job that pays you and gives you health insurance and social security. then what

for me the main logistical issue of him majoring in marine biology has never been that he would never do that it's that the intersection of new rome college accreditation to the Actual Real world isn't all that clear/logistically sound. like I guess the mist can handle anything but what impact is new rome going to be able to have on the realm of mortals. this would be a nice thing to discuss actually (more in tags)

i was at the aquarium and they let you pet moon jellies in the touch tank! and the guy was explaining that they digest in those things which is why you can see lil bits of food, and i, who read signs, went

"wait, i thought they were for- ... reproduction?"

and the guy said that yes, good catch, they work as both! but we both had that kind of laugh under our breath as we tried not to overtly refer to balls

Whenever I see a picture or a video of moon sea jellies I have to stop whatever I am doing and count the gonads (circle things on their bell) they all have because I know that most sea jellies are suppose to have 4 but sometimes will have fewer or more due to mutation and I like spotting the ones that have an abnormal amout of testies

Sun and Moon x Reader where Reader works for a marine branch of the Fazbear Company and has been visiting and exploring the ocean floor for a few years already. They now have Sun and Moon to help them by them either taking samples outside in the water or by remaining inside the submersible, decreasing the amount of human staff that needs to be on board. It's a very different work flow for the Reader, having bots automate what is not supposed to be automatic, but they get used to it eventually.

And something could happen where the submersible gets stuck on the ocean floor making it unable to safely resurface. Their oxygen goes down slowly so Sun and Moon drag it to what is a nearby cave with an air pocket where they can prolong Reader's already limited air supply until help arrives.

Or maybe the Reader finds some cave and it's their decision to go and explore it which the bots are very against. But hey, Fazbears gave the go-ahead so who's gonna stop Reader from being curious?

Minecraft says air pockets under the ocean exist so get rekt physics.

And oh my goodness there could be a cave exploring fic.

Alternatively, Sun and Moon are creatures found in the deep and Reader spots them through the small little window in the submersible. Sun and Moon don't come close at first but when they do Moon is a little too rough with the ship for comfort, bumping into it and scaring the Reader on purpose. Maybe a little accident happens where the Reader and their crew needs to be fished out of the water only to be told to return down into the depths because Fazbears won't skip on such a find.

Maybe, going outside what is actually possible with science, Reader is forced into gear that will have them go into the water themself and that's when Sun pops out all excited because he's never seen a 'visitor' before and he gets to the Reader before Moon can.
