i want to take a day, an early morning flight, and go to disneyworld early one saturday morning and then come home sunday afternoon. spend the morning in the park, then check into the hotel, spend evening at the pool, then go back to the park for dinner and late-night shenanigans.
beneath neon lights and artificial stone, amidst strict greenery and the occasional rustle of a leaf on the breeze, think about kissing in abandoned corners, grazing lips and teeth and rock.
i wish for one thing but to experience wonderment. it’s something my mental health has taken from me. i used to be able to draw and draw, and today i drew, and everything was existential.
what can i do but click the first search result for “magical places.” what can i do but look behind me, a distant glistening memory from before it was all too real. what can i do but return to the place i was, at the very least, safe.
and yes, there is artifice. but you’re aware of it, and that awareness amplifies the high, i think. nothing’s real here. nothing’s real. not you, not the character you took a photo with, not even the beer you’re drinking for the crisp shock of hops on a sweltering Saturday afternoon. and for long enough, it doesn’t have to be.
is there not relief in ignorance?

Had another fun Disneyland day today! I caved and finally got a Magic Band since I liked the design. I tried out the Bounty game for the first time, and it’s basically a game of “hot or cold” where you walk around Batuu and the magic band vibrates and glows red or green depending on how close you are to the bounty. Then you turn it in!

hardly a hot take in the year two thousand twenty-four but the original "part of your world" is so incredible. the emotion and earnestness of jodi benson's performance, the simple sweep and swell of the orchestration...it was written for a very specific visual accompaniment, but even divorced from it, it is so married to its setting and characters in everything from the lyrics to the choice of instrumentation. it pushes! it pulls! quiet moments flank every big swell, yet the song never loses its momentum, never forgets how strongly ariel feels about the surface world. howard ashman you will never be forgotten, this song truly changed the world

D23 was interesting
Entertainment was… less entertaining and super tone deaf “did everyone want 6 more remakes and sequels no one asked for?”
Meanwhile the parks panel is hilarious, full throttle and josh d'amaro is like “everyone gets a puppy!”
Rip Tron fans

Seen a disgusting ass video on tiktok/YouTube of some couple doing it in the movies while Moana 2 was screening. The two other people in the video reported them as they should, but what i want to talk about is the fact, people in the comments of the video were talking about
:whyd you snitch
:why didn't you just mind your business
And so on, and I just find is super fucking weird that no one finds it weird (I say no one lightly I'm sure some people understand where I'm coming from) that these grown ass adults were doing it to a kids movie, in a theater where a child could have walked in at any moment. People where laughing about it, and trying to say it was fine bc no kids were there. It doesn't matter if children were there or not it's the fucking moral of the fact and the lack of respect and boundaries for others. And I'm not kink shaming, but there are safer and more appropriate ways to indulge in them.
Thank you for reading my rant, I just needed to know if I'm over reacting or whatever. Most opinions welcome, unless you're just going to say "just mind your own business".

If you ever feel like sh!t, remind yourself that, at least, you're not a chronically online conservative frozen fan.
I swear it's gonna boost your self-esteem to the top roof

the problem with working a job where u interact with like 1500 people per day & u are supposed to be charming and informative the whole time is that sometimes you are so weird on accident?? and u say something that is so weird to say to another person out loud ?? and u just have to be like :) lets pretend that was normal. do you have any other questions

by any chance do you take inspiration from furry artists because a lot of your work looks like the furry art style but if you did it on humans
the don bluthification of just being a 90s kid I think

Don't get me wrong, I know Loki is a Norse god and the tree is very specifically meant to be Yggdrasil but Loki walking with all the thread to sit on the throne and hold the threads of time together was also very reminiscent of the titan Atlas imo

ok but i'm sincerely curious how disney adults have become the subject of ridicule. i don't understand how it's different than any other fandom behavior. and obviously there are very distinct examples of bad behavior but every fandom gets that. not EVERY homestuck fan committed a sharpie bath incident
and i see so much of it coming from ppl who are in fandom spaces and are anti cringe culture?? shocker, it also applies to the ppl u don't personally like
