I logged on tonight because I felt like writing into the void, but if even one person sees this and gets something out of it, then yeeeee haw. It's so funny that I used this account when I was young, so scrolling back just looks like a bunch of old One Direction posts and depressing memes that likely made me feel a little less alone. I will speak of One Direction in another post, though. Right now, I wanna get weird and corny with y'all.

As easy as it is to delete things I don't align with anymore, I'm taking this opportunity to pat myself on the back to acknowledge how far I have come in my life journey and mental health. I have old drafts that were essentially love letters for people who abused me. I reposted things that only validated my delusion that the world would be better off without me in it. I couldn't be more proud to admit how wrong I once was.

Anyway, if you are seeing this I just want to say that it's okay. It's okay to change your mind and to take an emotional dump. It's okay to be disappointed with the results of the election. It's okay to not be okay, so I hope that it's okay for me to remind you that it will still be okay ...okay?

Louis followed Elon Musk and we’re all VERY GLAD that it was pretty much for sure just his way of confirming the Tesla theory (see yesterday) because UGGGGHHH HORRIBLE. Louis, NO! But there’s literally just no possible way it can just be fully disconnected from the Tesla theory talk so… yeah. Tesla theory #CONFIRMED, wow- it feels like a million years since we had anything concrete, so that feels pretty nice to be honest. I can’t believe Louis found a loophole where him following a vile creep is actually kind of cool, fucking typical- still, I do hope he unfollows at some point. I get why he did it, following Tesla (the brand) direct would be too on the nose, he never does take a step without that plausible deniability/ SBB-fuckery (except apparently for when he said he wanted a tattoo of the number 369, SIGH, but how could we have been expected to understand that with no context? It simply wasn’t realistic), but still ewww.

Anyway he was online lots yesterday and today (so again no way in hell he missed the Tesla theory and just happened to follow Musk); he also commented on a UA post where they drew attention to the merch company’s announcement that the 369 drop merch would only be available for one day. Not so said Louis, “must have been some wires crossed.” It is limited, but not that limited! 28 days? Through May 28? Who knows but it’s set to ship out May 28, because of course it is. He also liked a post about a new DMAs song and came online to ask how we’re doing. He recced some music-- first a band, Bilk, and he responded to a question asking for female artist recs to suggest singer songwriter Celeste (recently seen in the gucci beloved campaign). He sent love to India, said he was “really happy with the designs” of the new merch, and said that a good name for a puppy was John which absolutely is not true but this man named his dog after a felonious publicist as a weird flex so like why be surprised. If “John” has some kind of interesting secret meaning he’s going to have to give us a LITTLE more than that to go on though! Bilk were psyched by the attention once they figured out what was happening-- “wtf is going on hahaha” they tweeted first (and with good reason; their previous tweets have like 200 mentions, that one has 12k!) Louis liked their tweet saying thanks for the mention.

Gym and Coffee, also overwhelmed by but enjoying the flood of clicks that come with a 1D boost, answered questions with lots of cute pictures of model!Niall pretending to shop and posing with things. Most of the questions were boring but bravo to the person who sent in just the word phenomeNIALL and to whoever posted it, that’s the stuff. I choose to believe it was CEO NIALL HORGAN, who posted it because if you think I’m done talking about Niall’s porn actor alter ego that man, you are sadly mistaken! Just because Louis was distracting doesn’t mean I’m letting this die anytime soon, it is too ridiculous!

Harry is nominated for a Billboard Music Award- Top Radio Songs Artist- and Liam posted about UNICEF’s efforts to vaccinate- “it’s so important we have the opportunity to get vaccinated.” Meanwhile, the Twix twitter (the candy bar) said that Louis and Harry were “a duo as amazing as TWIX duh”, tweeted “larry is real” and defended it in mentions, and chatted with louies about streaming Walls and which merch to buy.

Mother’s Day

niall / fluff / part 5 of 5 

4 years later.

Niall blinks his eyes open to a warm and bright Sunday morning. If only it had been that which had woken him up, as the golden light hits the bed and envelopes the room in a cosy and familiar way.

No, what had actually woken him up, was James. 

“Daddy, ‘t’s mornin’, wakey wakey!” He is careful to whisper, aware of his sleeping Mummy on the other side of the bed. 

“Hi bud, y’wanna come in f’a snuggle?” Niall softly smiles as he sees excitement light up in his son’s blue eyes, his messy brown hair sticking up in every direction, always a cause for you to comment on how alike the two of your boys were.

“Only f’a minute though, we need’ta get the presents ready f’Mummy!”

Niall lets James curl into his side for a good half hour - James’ version of a minute - , before shifting the small boy from him. He’d been stroking his daddy’s chest hair and humming while Niall’s gravelly morning voice asked him if he was going to be extra good for Mummy today.

A firm nod from his little buddy was enough to suffice for an answer.

In the time that the pancake batter had been mixed, and Niall had rescued the large bouquet of flowers from the bucket in the garage, the fruit had also been freshly prepped for breakfast. James was pleased that everything he’d “written” on his list that he continued to check off, had been done, and all before you had woken up.

“Y’ready spud?”

Niall carries the tray as James places his clipboard down, ready to carry the flowers in, while Niall could handle the breakfast tray and bag of presents.

“Daddy! What about Maisie?!”

You’d woken up to a small hand on your shoulder and a rumble on the bed before opening your eyes to see your son clambering up and shoving the flowers at you.

“Happy Mummy’s Day!” he grins, and he looks just like his father.

“Oh sweetheart, thank you SO much! These are beautiful flowers!” you smile as you bring James in for a light peck, the token of affection warming your heart.

“Where’s daddy?” You ask. Normally you’re awoken by both of your boys, but James, as always, has a carefully thought out answer:

“Daddy’s gettin’ Maisie. He says I'm a big boy and I can cuddle y’first.” He uses his own little irish charm to squish in even closer to you, and wrap his arms around you. He might be his daddy’s double, but he certainly was a Mummy’s boy. In any other circumstance, you might have thought this bond could have bothered or even upset Niall quite a bit, until you see him at the door with a bag of gifts in one arm, and your sweet new baby girl in his other. A complete Daddy’s girl.

“Daddy brought Maisie! Now we all here Mummy!” James pipes up, glad that everyone is accounted for, and that the present opening could begin.You kiss your husband softly as he places the bag next to you on the bed. The little one in his arms watching the love-fest of Mother’s day going down for the first time - and certainly not the last - in her life.

Maisie had been a beautiful surprise.

It was your 10 year anniversary, and James had only just turned 3 years old. You didn't ever consider having another baby, what with James being the miracle he had been in your lives. You’d never mind being too careful, since you’d felt that the universe had given you a complete family, but oh no, a couple of months later and 3 positive tests, you were having another baby.

When you’d found out you were having a girl, as Niall hit the golf ball full of pink dye, you’d never seen him openly weep with joy just as he did in that moment, aside from James’ birth. You were giving him a baby girl.

She’s now nearly 3 months old, and while not quite the chunk that her brother was, she feeds well and sleeps for 18 hours of the day and allows for her brother to balance soft toys on her (until daddy or mummy tell him to stop - although Maisie never really minds). Her light wispy hair is soft, yet not quite the dark shade that Niall and James share. However, you reckon she’ll have her daddy’s eyes.

You’re so blessed to have two beautiful babies, one smart little cookie, who is so wild and happy like his Daddy, but soft and gentle around his new baby sister. Maisie is a snoozy, slow-paced baby, but her tiny personality is already showing in her half smiles and the way she wriggles when she hears her Daddy’s voice, especially when he sings her to sleep as she’s tucked safely in his arms.

James adores her and tells everyone at nursery about her. Niall adores her because she’s his baby girl, one he never thought he would have and didn't know he could ever need. His little Maisie Grace.

You open the macaroni card - with James writing his own name on the card for the first time -, some glittery homemade jewellery, and a painting from your sweet little man. Niall presents you with a little plate with prints of Maisie’s hands and feet and the bouquet of flowers from him and a tiny bunch from Maisie that would sit perfectly on the dining table where you all ate. Niall’s gift to you was simply the bonus of dropping off the kids at a friend’s house to have a night to yourselves.

Niall kisses Maisie with short quick pecks to her forehead, causing her to grin and show her gums and the first signs of a little dimple on her cheek as a glob of drool trails down her chin. “oh come on lovie, we’re meant to be helpin’ Mummy today, not slobberin’ everywhere! ya trying to give some kisses?”She makes a face, somewhat of a smile, and Niall can hear James pretending to be a spaceship holding his teddy and throwing him into the air.

Mother’s Day was surely just a glimpse of what a wonderful life he helped to create with you.

as for your questions,,,,,,, don't @ my choices, alright? i may masquerade as someone who has taste, but really, i don't have much at all.

i would, without hesitation, give cal kestis (star wars), robby keene (cobra kai), and zuko (atla) anything their heart desired. they just need one (1) singular break from life, y'know?

as for one direction,,,,,, i'm not going to lie, i was a huge one direction hater back in the day. like, 2012-2013, i would tear throats if i heard you liked one direction. however, this was in my 'not like my sister' phase, and she was a die hard fan, so i think that explains the hatred. in retrospect, they had some good songs! story of my life was pretty good - even if you couldn't escape it for months after it came out. i like niall horan's solo music, and some of harry styles' work, too (i haven't gotten around to listening to much). are the others (minus zayn, lol) pursuing solo careers? i don't think i've heard much about the one who liked girls who eat carrots or whatever, asdfghjkjhgfds.

i'm trying to decide if i should add it to my tbr or not, but the wheel of time books? there's like 14 books in total, so it's an undertaking™ but who knows? i'm watching the amazon show rn and while there is decidedly A Lot™ to unpack, i always like a good fantasy (i need to read asoiaf first, lol).

as for four good things, i did pretty good on all four of my finals! and now i have a break for a little bit, which means time to write and read!

yes, i have read the great gatsby. i think 3 times? i remember reading it once on my own volition, and then twice for school. i haven't seen any movie adaptations, funnily enough. although, if you know/like the great gatsby, you should listen to this song by ella jane, because it's about the book! i just think it's neat. i also kinda want to read "beautiful little fools" by jillian cantor which is like a reimagining of the great gatsby, but idk if it's any good, y'know?

asdfghjhgfd,,, you probably know all of the shakespeare plays i've read/watched, because i'm decidedly Not Original but (other than macbeth and hamlet, my beloveds) much ado about nothing is a lot of fun, and i adore the kenneth branagh movie version, and hey! idk if people mention this a lot, but robert sean leonard was claudio!!! it's funny, bc i saw him in dps and was like ???? claudio??????? and keanu reeves is in it, too and i just,,,,,, it's a romp. much ado is just so stupid and that's why i have no choice but to stan.

i am looking forward to doing some baking and cooking this week! i don't have any school, which means i can have hobbies again, lol. (also, this is off the record but i know for a fact my little sister got me A Game Of Thrones for the holidays because she's terrible at hiding secrets, so i'm very excited to be able to read that.)

#19 My favorite episode of PD has to be 8x3. I’ve watched the last 5 minutes like a million times. Hailey not taking the job with the FBI and letting her vulnerability show by telling Jay how she felt took so much courage. Jay’s a man of action and his response by kissing her was so perfect.

#20 Worst death will always be Al for me. He totally didn’t deserve to be murdered in jail that way. His loyalty to Voight was poorly repaid.

Btw I am a big Niall Horan and Harry Styles fan.
