Birdritch... something. I hurt so much. It's some number. You'll figure it out. You're smart, darlings.
masterpost over on @clockwaysadmin
Danny stayed at the back, trailing after the rambunctious flock of Waynes as they made their way behind the stage and to the other, hidden side of the theater. It made Danny smile, to see the family bumping shoulders, teasing, and laughing with each other.
His life in Gotham was something that Danny loved. He’d clawed it out from the proverbial grave of his death and everything that came with it: nearly failing high school, his failing health after, the trauma it left him with, the relationship with his parents he left behind. But he’d gotten to the surface. He got his Bachelors and Masters and PHD. He got a job that he traded for another and another until he rose up to where he worked at an amazing company and got mostly left alone to dream up new ways to make the world better.
Danny loved it.
But that didn’t mean that Danny didn’t miss the close friendships that (metaphorically and physically), Danny had moved away from to achieve what he had. Visiting Jazz and Taylor, Sam and her brood, or Tucker and his partners wasn’t the same as living with them close. He missed what the Waynes had with an ache so deep that he had to push it aside so that it didn’t swallow him whole.
“Cass!”
Tim calling his sister’s name shook Danny out of his rumination. He found a little out of the way spot of wall to lean against between some boxes and rolls of scenery.
“You were amazing, darling,” Bruce said as he leaned in to kiss Cass’ cheek.
Bruce handed over the bouquet of white roses and babies-breath that he had brought from where it had been stored in the sitting room. Cass basically buried her face in the flowers and inhaled.
“For real, little sis, your moves were amazing. You have to show me how you hold some of those poses so still,” Dick said.
“As if you could stay still,” Barbara teased with a well placed poke to Dick’s side that made him squeak and move defensively behind Cass.
“Pretty sure she beats you in flexibility now too, dickhead,” Jason said.
“It is okay, love you still,” Cass said in her soft tone. She pulled out one of the roses from the mass of flowers and tucked it behind Dick’s ear.
Dick looked momentarily torn if he should be insulted or fond, though fond quickly won out and he pressed a little kiss to the top of Cass’ head. It seemed to be a signal, somehow, and suddenly all of the family was talking to Cass or to each other. The fatigue was starting to pull too heavily on Danny for him to make out most of the chatter, so he simply closed his eyes and let the happy voices wash over him.
There was a gentle pressure on his arm. Danny blinked his eyes open to a worried Cass, dark brows furrowed above the dramatic white and glitter of her stage make up. Danny smiled, though he knew it probably looked a little drawn.
“Hello, Cass,” Danny signed.
The furrow between the bows only grew as she signed. “You okay?”
“Okay. Tired,” Danny replied before he gave up to talking verbally. The sleep clouded his mind about signs right then. He really would have to practice. “I’m just a little out of sorts, but I’m very glad I came. Thank you for inviting me. You danced absolutely wonderfully. I don’t know much about ballet, but even I could see how skilled you are.”
“Thank you. I am glad you came. Could have not,” she said.
“Of course I had to come, you invited me and it’s an important night for you. It should be!” Danny made himself stand up away from the wall and put a bit more energy into his smile. “I’m fine, really, fatigue just gets me sometimes.”
Cass turned his frown away from Danny and directed it at her father.
“I already talked Danny into letting us give him a ride home,” Bruce replied.
“I really would be fine,” Danny couldn’t help but argue. “I’ve made it home in worse states than this.”
“Oddly enough,” Jason interjected, “you really aren’t helping your case.”
Danny couldn’t do anything else but give an unrepentant little shrug to that. He probably wasn’t, but it was true. Besides, he had already agreed to the ride, not that he felt he had much choice. It was too easy to be swept along by the Waynes.
Barbara may be right that they did absorb people.

Pride & Prejudice || Leopold Mountbatten x Reader
Summary: You're an actress auditioning for theatre production of Pride & Prejudice and Leopold finds you practicing your lines.
a/n: Okay so, I need more leopold being an actor and cute moments so this was born. Full confession. I have never watched or read Pride & Prejudice so I am very sorry if I messed up anything aksdfhl. Anyways i hope u like it!!!
Tumblr media
The fire escape has to be Leopold's favorite place. He sits on the small chair and watches the bustling city below him. Overwhelming is an understatement when it comes to the last couple weeks.
Falling into the future sounds like a work of fiction, yet it was his reality. Adjusting hasn’t been the easiest but he’s lucky to have Kate and Charlie and well, you.
“Do you think I could have ever considered marrying the man who has ruined, perhaps forever, the happiness of my beloved sister?” Leopold perks up at the sound of your voice.
You’re Kate's neighbor, kind of. You live below her. Leopold has seen you a few times, mostly when you lock yourself out of your apartment and need to climb through Kate's fire escape. He knows you’re an actor like Charlie but in the day time you work at a coffee shop.
You served him once or twice when he came to visit you. Your knowledge of theater is extensive and Leopold always had an interest in the stage so conversation came easy. You also loved movies, something he was completely unfamiliar with. He remembers your eyes lighting up at the very idea of showing him your favorite films. A soft smile across his face as he recalls your many movie nights. Though he didn’t quite understand every movie, he could care less when you were so passionate about each and every one of them.
“You arrogantly and unjustly maneuvered Mr. Bingley away from Jane. Can you deny it?” The dialogue catches his attention, you must be practicing for a show. He climbs down the fire escape to your apartment.
“Your manner…Ugh!” You fall back onto your couch as you throw the sides onto the coffee table.
“I’m never going to get this right.” You groan helplessly.
“I thought you sounded lovely.” You let out a small scream as you hear another voice. Turning your head you see Leopold sitting on your fire escape.
“Leo! What have I said about knocking?”
“My apologies.” He climbs through the window and walks over to you. He looks at the pieces of paper and reaches down to pick it up.
“Pride and Prejudice, I had no idea they turned this into a play.” He flips through some of the pages. He remembers reading the book and enjoying it quite a bit.
“Have you gotten the part?” You scrunch your face as you shake your head.
“No. Auditions are next week. I…” You hesitate to continue but he smiles softly and you cave instantly.
“I wanted to audition for Elizabeth but a couple friends told me I’d probably be a better Charlotte.”
Not that you had anything against the character and a part is a part no matter how small, but you wanted to play more than a side character. Leopold's brows furrow as he sets down the script.
“Nonsense, do not listen to them. I think you would make a perfect Elizabeth.” He compliments sincerely. Of course you would, he thinks. You’d be perfect in any role.
“Thanks.” Your eyes drift to the sides on the table. Leopold stands with his arms behind his back, even in casual clothing he radiates this aura unlike anything you’ve seen.
“You know Leo,” You smile as an idea pops into your head. “I think you should audition too.” Picturing him as Mr. Darcy is easy. After he did his butter commercial, you realized he was a natural for acting and with his background, he’d be perfect for period pieces. Not to mention how handsome he is. You’re sure the director would be tripping over himself to get Leopold a role. Leopold seems uncertain at your suggestion.
“Here,” You pick up the sides and hand him the one for Mr. Darcy. He skims over the lines and frowns.
“I do not recognize this.”
“Oh yeah, they’re from the movie. The director wanted to include his big monologue and the kiss.” You explain, making a mental note to show him the movie later.
“I understand wanting to take creative liberties and all but…” Maybe he’s a stickler for the classics but he isn’t exactly fond of changing such a well written book.
“Just give it a try.” He sighs and stands a bit taller.
“You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you spoke with my Aunt last night, and it has taught me to hope as I had scarcely allowed myself before.” He looks up from the script and you give him an encouraging smile.
“If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes are unchanged, but one word from you will silence me forever.” You want to melt under his gaze. It’s not fair how easily the words flow out of his mouth. How naturally charming he is.
‘“If, however, your feelings have changed…” To your surprise he sets down the paper and walks closer to you, holding out his hand to you. Hesitantly you take his hand, unsure of where he was going with this. He pulls you up, his eyes never leaving yours.
“I could, I would have to tell you, you have bewitched me body and soul,” His hand gently grabs your chin as he steps closer to you. You stand frozen in complete shock. The script is long forgotten, the pages having fallen from his hands.
“And I love and love and love you. And never wish to be parted from you from this day on.” He finishes his monologue as a whisper. You part your lips but no words come out, wanting to hold onto this moment for longer.
“I believe you mentioned a kiss,” He mumbles.
“It’s uh, towards the end…” He hums and without another word he gently kisses you.
Your eyes flutter closed as you wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. His lips are so soft, so gentle yet so passionate. One of his hands snakes to your lower back, guiding you even closer to him. The kiss breaks and you’re left breathing heavily, smiles on both of your faces.
“You’re really good at this. Maybe you should become an actor.” You say jokingly. He chuckles and brushes his thumb along your cheek.
“I was not acting,” He admits.
“You are truly, utterly, bewitching and If you were to accept, I would die a happy man.” Jesus, he knows how to talk.
“I would be an idiot to say no to you.” You grab his face and crash your lips onto his. He steps back but quickly matches your fervor.
“Join me for dinner tonight, so I can court you properly.” He says breathlessly, his face slightly flushed.
“Properly? So you don’t normally kiss a girl before dinner?” You say teasingly.
“No, But for the sake of theater, perhaps I can make an exception.” That’s as forward as you’ve ever seen from Leopold, an innocent smile on his face but a clear spark in his eyes. Smirking, you glance at the scattered pages on the ground.
“Good, because I think we need to run the scene again and again.”

closer than i ever even knew - quinn hughes
Tumblr media
summary: quinn saves the day and goes mini-golfing
word count: 1.1k
note: happy belated birthday @fallinallincurls! this is much, much shorter than i anticipated and i hope it's short but sweet. muchas gracias to @offside-the-lines <3
bingo: friends to lovers | witty banter | fake dating | it’s always been you
Tumblr media
It starts, like any good romance movie does, with an event she doesn’t want to go to and a friend willing to save the day.
The event isn’t even big or fancy, which makes the whole thing so funny. She’s under no obligation to bring anyone, let alone a romantic partner, but, during the busiest hour of her week, a coworker had asked if she was going to, and the ‘yes’ had slipped from her mouth before she’d even realised it was happening.
Thus, Quinn Hughes was playing mini golf at a "team bonding" event her company decided was a good idea.
Her intention hadn’t been to earn any brownie points by bringing him—he had volunteered himself, after all—but the second they arrived and her boss spotted Quinn Hughes, Captain of the Vancouver Canucks, she immediately grouped them with her, her wife and the next nearest couple.
They wasted no time in heading to the first hole, her boss taking the lead and making sure they weren’t stuck behind anybody else. Which turned out to be a good thing because Quinn was taking practice swings with the putter.
She rolled her eyes as she asked, “Are you taking this seriously, or are you having fun?”
“Are we on a team?”
“No, it’s individual.”
“Then I’m taking it seriously,” Quinn answered easily. “No way am I letting you win.”
The questions came through shortly after they started, nosing in on the relationship lie that resulted in Quinn joining them for the day. Well, they weren’t aware that it was a lie, of course.
Luckily for her, Quinn was all too happy to do the talking.
The lingering looks and touches had her wondering why Quinn pursued hockey when he would have been just as successful as an actor. Even though he was determined to win, the simple repositioning of her hands on the putter and the minute correction of the position of her hips were leaving her short of words.
“Is this good enough for you, Captain?” she called over her shoulder, teasing Quinn as she lined up for her next shot. The wiggle in her hips was joking—mostly involuntary even—but it immediately drew Quinn’s eyes, even though he was mid-conversation.
“You’ve got great form, babe.”
A wink accompanied the sentence and she had to look away so that her blush wouldn’t be seen by her coworkers. Or by Quinn.
It did mean that she turned around and focused on her putting, leading to a nice hole-in-one.
At various points throughout the afternoon, Quinn’s hand found hers. Their fingers intertwined in a perfect fit, and it took all her power to not act like it was a strange occurrence; she desperately wanted to get out of her head and enjoy those moments while they lasted.
Her boss, finally taking a break from talking about hockey, asked about how they met. The looks sent Quinn’s way were a discrete panic, but he didn’t seem to be facing the same problem.
“We had the same routine running the Sea Wall—seemed like fate that we kept running into each other when my schedule’s so chaotic, you know?” he answered, providing an entirely accurate retelling that had her shocked he hadn’t opted for something a bit more romantic. “She literally fell for me.”
“Me?” she nearly screeched, any confusion she was feeling or fluttering in her stomach was immediately overtaken by incredulity. “You tripped over a dog lead!”
“You distracted me, what can I say?”
There was some cooing that followed, and Quinn refused to make eye contact despite the cocky smile on his face. It was becoming increasingly difficult to tell whether it was all just for show.
Her boss ended up winning, after a lot of effort and a competitive nature that would rival anybody Quinn played with or against. She and Quinn shared many sideways glances with raised eyebrows at just how competitive she was.
The world stopped spinning when Quinn leaned in and whispered directly into her ear, “Still beat you, though.”
As they were leaving, Quinn took her hand again. It was so casual that she wasn’t sure any thought had gone into it at all—and with nobody looking their way, it did nothing to heighten their ruse. She glanced down at their hands, too distracted to even say a proper goodbye as Quinn earnestly told everyone he hoped to see them again soon—that also added to her confusion.
The streets of Vancouver were deeply familiar, etched into her brain from a young age with every slight raise in the concrete committed to muscle memory, so she knew that they were headed towards the water and away from either of their apartments the second Quinn chose a direction. The Sea Wall surrounding the city was her favourite part of it with nothing else even coming close.
“Weird time for a run?” she asked. She wiggled her fingers just to test the pressure. Quinn squeezed back. “I don’t want to go for a run right now.”
“Nobody is going for a run,” he said gently. “I didn’t even want to be going for runs but I saw you on that first day and kept going out just in case I’d see you again.”
She screwed up her face, the disbelief that ran through her had her pulling her hand from Quinn’s and huffing, “Don’t be stupid.”
“How am I being stupid?” There was a tinge of hurt in his voice that she so rarely heard; she felt it right in her chest.
“I don’t know, Q. I just don’t believe you went out of your way to find me. That’s not…” Her voice was muffled by the sound of the water rushing against the Sea Wall. “That doesn’t happen in real life. To me.”
Quinn stared at her, seemingly taking in every inch of her face, and she could only imagine the expression she was making. If she looked as pathetic as she felt, she would need to make sure she never saw him again.
“It’s happening to you.” he stressed. “Today was… Today… I’d like today to be every day.”
She had so many things she wanted to say but no ability to make them come out of her mouth. She felt no less pathetic than she did a moment earlier, though she did feel a little more hopeful. It had been a good day, even if confusing, and she’d be lying if she said she hadn’t been wanting something similar since they first met years prior.
“Why don’t you believe me?”
“Because you’re Quinn Hughes? Because you’re the Captain of the Vancouver Canucks? We’ve just spent the entire day with your ass being kissed—you could have your pick of any woman in Vancouver. We’ve been friends for like, what? Three years now and you’ve never—”
“I am now. I don’t want anybody else. I want you. It’s always been you.”

ALL SMITE + “Nobody lays a hand on my mate. They don't realize who you belong to.”
Tumblr media
warnings: angst, smut, unprotected sex, virginity loss, violence, Dragon AU, Villain??? Toshinori pairings: Dragon!Toshinori Yagi/All Smite x Fem!Princess!Reader
Tumblr media
For years, you were locked away in a tower. The world seemed bleak up in that lonely room. You longed for someone to save you. Each day would tick by and you would find yourself even lonelier than the last. Never would you feel love. Never would you know the way it felt to belong to someone. Even a friend would make you happy.
One day, you noticed something flying in the distance. You went to your window, looking out at the dragon that was flying. You began to imagine what it would be like to ride on the back of this beautiful golden dragon. It got closer to you, until you finally could see just how ginormous it was. Your eyes widened when the face of this dragon got close to your window.
“Mortal,” he groans. “Are you alone in this tower?”
You reach out and touch his snout. “I am. I am alone. You are the first to speak to me in almost  a decade.”
Tumblr media
And from then on, the dragon either took pity on you or actually liked you enough to keep coming to see you. Every time he came to see you, the more you grew attached. He was a beautiful creature. Someone you could call your confidante. He listened to you talk for hours, just happy to keep you company.
He wasn’t exactly liked in the kingdom. Everyone knew him as the dragon that burnt down the church and castle from years ago, but they didn't realize how corrupt that king and that priest had been. And now that they were rebuilding the two buildings, they banished him out into the outskirts of the kingdom. Which just so happened to be near the castle you resided in. They thought they had been clever to send you to a tower where nobody could reach you, but only if they knew their worst fears were coming true…
Every day, you fall deeper into your love and appreciation for the dragon. You come to find out his name is Toshinori, but everyone gave him the awful nickname of Smite. He was just trying to save the land from an awful curse that the priest had intended to put on the entire area in exchange for immortality.
You longed to be with Smite. He was your everything now. You just had no idea that he was a dragon hybrid. You didn’t know that he was also part man. It didn’t matter to him though. He was happy to be there for you when you needed him most.
One day came where there were guards coming to your tower. They were ready to bring you back down to the village and to marry you off to some Lord. You struggled with the idea, mostly because you just wanted to be free. You wanted to ride on the back of Smite, just soaring through the skies.
Just as they are trying to usher you down the stairs, a loud rumble is heard from outside. You feel the whole tower shaking as something outside is clearly trying to break in. You hear his voice and your heart aches.
“Where is she?!” He growls loudly, attacking the tower to get to you.
“Smite! Toshinori! I’m here!” You cry out, trying to get his attention.
When he walks in the door, your eyes widen. He looks very different to you. This is when you come to realize that he’s not just a dragon, he’s also a man. He comes over to where the guards are practically dragging you down the stairs. He pulls them off of you, pushing them to the ground. The guards try to reach you again, but Smite is much quicker than them. And he’s much stronger.
“Nobody lays a hand on my mate.” He growls, baring his teeth. Then he turns to you, “They don’t realize who you belong to.”
With that, Toshinori guides you out of the tower. He transforms once more, allowing you onto his back. You two soar the skies together. It’s just like your dream come true. When he brings you to his lair, you’re treated to the sweetest love.
On his bed, he hovers over you. His eyes are dark and full of lust. He caresses your cheeks before he kisses you so deeply. Toshinori slides into you, moaning at the way he can so easily bottom out in you.  You cling to him, panting as the pleasure takes hold of you. He holds your hands, intertwining his fingers with yours.
“I promise,” he moans as he begins to thrust into you. “I’ll never let you go. You’re my little mate.”

crush.
a/n: hmm i wonder if you can guess what this is about? i have listened to this song an ungodly amount of times while writing this and i am literally obsessed. i rlly wanted to make this angsty n sad but eddie never gets a happy ending when i write him so decided against it hehe
no use of y/n! smut (18+) eddie is a bit of a douche but very much makes up for it in the end <3
eddie munson was trouble. but you knew that.
he was quite oddly proud of the fact his dad was in jail, facing the chair no less. having been shipped off to his uncle’s in hawkins when he first got sent down.
it was too much for his mom to juggle both him and his brother. especially as eddie was such a handful. she’d call him occasionally and they’d visit every christmas. she mostly called to tell him of his brother’s achievements. disappointed that he wasn’t academic like his big brother.
when he’d eventually graduated high school, third time lucky, he’d picked up a job at the local mechanic shop. learning from the older guys as he went.
your uncle owned the place so you’d be a regular visitor, it meant lots of fussing from his workers, something you basked in. they’d give you sneaky cigarettes and threaten to knock the head off of any guy that dared bother you. and in the summer you’d sit atop the low wall and share cold beers.
when eddie started, he’d seemed like he wasn’t the slightest bit interested in knowing anything about you. you’d assumed that he probably had a girlfriend.
not noticing how his eyes sneakily leered at your legs when you’d been turned away or how he’d try to hide his disappointment when you wouldn’t turn up.
but you watched from afar, noting his habits. when he’d go for a cigarette, long hair tied back with a green scrunchy, an artefact probably stolen from said girlfriend.
and when the summer came around and his sleeves got shorter, showcasing the jumble of tattoos on his defined arms, you were practically foaming at the mouth to get to know him.
you would never ever let him know. not unless he made the first move. and you stood by that.
then one day as summer drew to a close, bare legs swinging as you sat on the wall outside, he’d come up and stood next to you, holding out the box of marlboro reds.
‘y’want one?’ his own cigarette perched between his pink lips, one eyebrow cocked.
you silently take a cigarette, placing it in between your lips and holding your hand out for the lighter. he does one better, taking the lighter from his pocket, flickering the flame and lighting it for you.
it takes every bone in your body to stay upright and not collapse into a pile of mush. your stomach fluttering at the intimacy, his callous hands only inches from your mouth.
you’d thought about his thumbs and how perfect they’d feel running along your lips.
he leans back against the brick, cleaning his oil stained hands on some old rag, taking a long drag, blowing the smoke out of the side of his mouth.
‘you doing anything tonight?’ he asks, squinting as the setting sun glares into his eyes, the orange glow beautifully cascading on his features.
‘hmm.. no,’ trying hard to act as casual as possible, though your heart was practically bursting from your chest.
‘my band’s playing the hideaway tonight, you should come,’ he smirks, grey smoke blowing out of his mouth with every word.
‘your band?’
‘yeah.. i play the guitar, sing a little.. we’re good i promise,’ flicking the cigarette to the pile of other butts at the entrance.
the mention of the guitar is enough to convince you, not that you needed much. filthy thoughts crowding your mind, watching as he pushes himself from the wall, standing in front of you.
‘i might come down, what time are you on?’ you ask, throwing your cigarette into the pile next to his.
‘we’re on at nine,’ he nods, beginning to walk back into the warehouse, ‘i’ll see you tonight.’
his assertiveness makes your cheeks flush, dipping your head and grinning at your lap hoping your uncle hadn’t noticed your conversation.
you do go. obviously.
making sure your skirt is appropriately rolled up, ripped fishnets adorning your legs and enough eyeliner to resemble a raccoon.
it doesn’t go unnoticed by eddie, or anyone really. the grubby old drunks sleazing around you, questionable touches and frankly inappropriate comments. eddie’s eyes stay firmly planted on you throughout, darkening as you stare back at him.
it’s no shock when you find yourself pressed against the rough back wall of the hideout, one of eddie’s hands beside your head, the other creeping underneath your skirt, mouths colliding in a sloppy kiss.
hungry for more as you cling onto his neck, his fingers skirting eerily close to your already wet cunt. you can feel him smirking against your mouth when you buck your hips in response.
‘you coming back to mine?’ he mumbles between kisses, the hand on the wall moving to caress your cheek, rough palms holding the heated skin.
you nod enthusiastically, pressing your body against his, still trapped between him and the wall. he pulls back, eyes glinting with the street lamp. pupils dilated with utter lust, thumb tracing along your swollen lips just like you’d once pictured.
the drive back to his trailer is torture, both of you too frustrated to make conversation. the aching feeling between your legs worsening when his hand reaches over, resting on your thigh. the worst part is that he knows exactly what the fuck he’s doing.
soft squeezes as you press your thighs together, willing for the road to somehow shorten.
you practically jump on him the second you walk through the door, pressing him against whatever solid surface you crash into first. hands desperate to touch him, pulling the holey band shirt up and over his mop of hair.
calloused hands nipping at your thighs as they travelled beneath your skirt. leading you backwards into what you assumed was his room, his tongue making lazy contact with yours when he misjudges the placement of the door, smacking straight into the wall.
he takes this as an opportunity to swap your positions, pushing you backwards into the small room. hands gripping your ass when you stumble into the corner of the bed, tumbling backwards and bringing him down on top of you.
you’re not even properly kissing at this point, breathing heavily as he’s poised above. he pulls back, moving you up the bed with ease, arms slung around his neck.
‘you’re insane,’ he breathes, mattress dipping on either side of your head as he holds himself up, eyes wandering from yours down to your exposed chest, tits peeking out of the tiny top you’d chosen.
‘you gonna do anything? or you just gonna stare?’
he goes from incredibly stoic and admiring to an large grin, no hesitation in lifting the shirt over your head. throwing it somewhere on the cluttered floor as his lips find yours again, spare hand finding the warmth between your legs.
your fingers fiddle with his large belt buckle, rutting your hips upwards, trying to get his hand to something. anything other than just sit there. frustrated with the speed in which he was moving, he grins into your mouth, finding your desperation amusing.
‘christ you’re needy,’ ever-so-slowly hooking his fingers into the waistband of the lacy underwear you’d work just in case, pulling them down with a harsh tug.
‘i’m going home if you don’t hurry up,’ you threaten, though it was empty.
his hand taking place of yours and unhooking his own belt, ‘no you’re not,’ he laughs and you can feel the tent in his jeans rub against your now bare cunt.
the anticipation in your stomach bubbling, eager to have him inside of you. the movement of your own hips doing nothing to help as they move upwards against him, legs wrapped tight around his back.
he pulls his jeans off antagonising and slow, relishing in watching you squirm beneath him, trying to find any relief in the little he was giving you. kicking off the black skinny jeans onto the floor, peering down between your bodies.
his fingers had found their way back between your legs, teasing your sopping hole with his index finger. dipping in but never enough.
a groan rumbles from your throat, ‘please.. just- fuck,’ panting when his middle finger joins the tormenting of your cunt, absolute putty in his hands.
‘ask me nicely,’ he demands, a wide smirk already plastered on his face when you look up at him, pupils blown out and wild.
you can tell he was just as desperate as you were, but taking extra pleasure in getting you begging for him.
‘please.. please fuck me,’ you swallow, eyes closing as you feel his leaking tip circle around your slick entrance.
‘that’s better,’ he quips before pushing himself in, breath hitching in his throat as your legs clamp around him, pulling him in.
‘h-holy shit,’ he murmurs, slowly moving his hips, willing himself not to fucking come already, your whines doing him absolutely no favours.
you slide your hands from his neck to his shoulders, nails digging into the moist skin when his pace quickens. eyes drooping shut when his thumb meets your clit, drawing small circles around the sensitive nub.
the undeniable sounds of your body meeting his full the room, soft cusses flooding out of his mouth when your hips move against him, urging him to move faster.
‘jesus.. you’re so.. uh, fuck you’re so perfect,’ stammering through deep breaths, even the feel of your soft thighs around his waist were fucking him up.
he braved looking down, the vision of your cock drunk face and soft moans, pushing him towards his orgasm. your eyes fluttering when he hits the soft, spongy spot inside, thumb unforgiving around your clit.
‘right there,’ you mewl, hurtling towards your own orgasm, stomach tightening and your legs trembling with every erratic thrust, his own attempt to get you there before him.
‘oh my god,’ you whine as the coil snaps, white-hot pleasure exploding behind your eyes, clawing onto the skin of his shoulders.
his thrusts stutter as your walls clench around him, thick ropes of come painting your insides as he collapses on top of you, mouth open as he rides out his high still inside.
you finally open your eyes, running soothing hands along his back, catching your own breath. cheeks warm and painted a sweet shade of red.
eventually coming back to earth, he rolls over onto the spare side of the bed, wiping the sweat from his forehead. pushing the long black hair back and out of his face.
he stays like that for a few moments, basking in his euphoria. you sit up, and reach down for your discarded shirt, holding it to your bare chest.
he peeks over, ‘you’re going?’ sounding almost disappointed.
you look back over your shoulder at him and shrug, wasn’t that what he wanted? most men would. in fact, they’d dress you themselves if it would get you out of there quicker.
‘you can stay y’know.. was kinda hoping we’d do that again like, at least twice,’ smirking as his fingers toy with the hem of your skirt.
‘okay,’ lips twitching into a smile, falling back onto the bed when his hand tugs on your hip, pulling you into his warm chest.
-
thus started whatever the hell it was you had going on now. not quite a relationship but enough to be spending half of your time with him. both at the shop and not. many nights spent watching corroded coffin, an unholy amount of black sabbath covers.
you come to learn that eddie regards ozzy osbourne as a hero. someone he tries to style his entire life around. it pisses you off no end when he jumps off the tiny stage at the hideout and onto a crowd of old drunks.
scalding him afterwards for being so stupid because one day they won’t catch him.
‘darling, one day the crowd’ll be so big, you won’t have to worry about it,’ he laughed, throwing his arm over your shoulder.
it’s not long before everyone in the garage figures out exactly what’s going on. your uncle expressing his clear disdain for the new relationship. threatening a passive eddie with a dull screwdriver the second he clocks on.
‘i’m telling you now, that i will kill you if i have to.’
the sight alone makes you collapse into a fit of laughter, eddie’s eyes wide with his hands up in defeat. chuckling himself when your uncle walks away.
one night, you’re sat waiting for eddie to finish fucking about with some motorcycle. your uncle tapping his foot impatiently.
‘i can lock up if you wanna go home,’ you offer, leaning against the uncomfortable metal desk.
‘yeah i do,’ throwing the heavy keys at you, glaring over to eddie, ‘no funny business, and i mean it.’
you smile, placing the keys on the desk next to you and watching as eddie emerges from beneath the bike, hiding his mischievous grin by biting down onto his bottom lip.
‘don’t you fucking dare,’ he warns, pointing at eddie as he walks towards his own car, shaking his head.
‘yessir,’ eddie calls after him, receiving an annoyed honk in response as he hightails out of there.
so when you’re sat atop the old, dusty cadillac just mere minutes later with your legs wrapped around his waist, you giggle into eddie’s mouth.
‘what’s funny?’ he mumbles, hand travelling down your waist, awfully close to the waistband of your jeans.
‘he’s serious, y’know?’ placing your hand on top of his, stopping it from going any further.
‘good,’ his lips sloppily connecting your yours, quickly swapping the position of your hands so his is perched on top, moving both of them down and past your waistband.
‘you’ll get us both killed,’ gasping as he makes your hand brush against your already soaked hole, feeling his grin in the crook of your neck.
‘he’s not gonna find out,’ he utters, softly sucking and nibbling on the sensitive skin.
you go to protest but you’re taken into shock when one of his fingers enters the slick hole, your hand flying out from beneath his to clutch onto the back of his neck.
‘you want me to stop?’ he teases, moving his finger antagonisingly slow, thumb tapping on your clit.
you shake your head no, leaning back and shifting your hips forward along the hood of the dusty car, the metal creaking beneath you.
instinctively throwing your head back when he slides in another finger, the other hand digging into your waist, sure enough to leave a bruise in the morning.
‘holy shit,’ you breathe, feeling his growing erection brush against your thigh, ‘fuck me,’ you beg, immediately going against everything you’d said earlier.
‘huh? what was that?’
your hips writhe against his fingers, ‘fuck me,’ pleading for more than he was currently giving.
he pulls his hand from your jeans, smirking when he goes back in to kiss you, yanking your jeans and panties down around your thighs in one fell swoop.
‘now who’s the one begging for it?’ he groans, struggling with his own jeans, eager to disgrace the poor rusty old car.
the bonnet makes a loud clunking sound from underneath and you seemingly sink into the metal. you and eddie stare at each other, wide-eyed and frankly terrified. neither of you brave enough to look at the inevitable dent your ass had just made.
collapsing into a fit of giggles when eddie lifts your body, mumbling a chorus of shits and fucks, preparing to lose his life to the hands of your pissed off uncle.
-
‘why the fuck do you have a gun?’ you screech, holding onto the metal door of the locker for stability.
you’d only gone in there in search of his cigarettes, not expecting to find a fucking glock chilling in his tattered old rucksack.
he rushes over, dropping the spanner with a loud clatter, ‘hey hey.. shh, why are you going through my bag?’ his face screwed up as you turn to face him, stern faced.
‘i’ll ask you again, why do you have a fucking gun, eddie?’ wildly throwing your hands about, trying to amplify your point.
his large hand grabs wraps around your wrists, pulling them down out of his face, ‘it’s not mine.. i’m just.. holding it for a friend,’ he peeks around the door, making sure nobody had heard your screaming.
after meeting his friends, you’re sure it’s true. a group of dope slingers who had no regard for their lives, or anyone else’s for that matter.
‘so you thought bringing it to work was a good idea?’ you fume, trying to wriggle your arms free from his grasp.
‘i forgot it was in there, look, it’s not mine, alright? it’s going back tomorrow,’ he looks angry, brows knitted together, jaw tense.
you already worried about him enough. sometimes he’d go m.i.a. for a few hours and you just knew he was somewhere chasing after that group of pricks. he’d sworn to you that he’d never touched that shit, sticking to strictly weed and occasional ketamine.
‘he’ll fucking kill you if you bring that shit here,’ referencing your uncle who was only in the other part of the garage. your hands still trapped in his grip.
‘i forgot,’ he huffs, anger easing as you soften your gaze, realising that your frustration wasn’t so much with him, ‘i’m sorry, alright? it’s not mine- i don’t think it’s even been used.’
you jut out your bottom lip, exhaling sharply from your nose, ‘i don’t care.. just, just don’t bring all that in here.. my uncle’s a good man- i don’t want him involved in your shit.’
‘i know,’ he nods, ‘i know, i’m sorry.. yeah? i promise it’s gone tomorrow,’ eyes searching your face for any sign of forgiveness.
‘okay.. whatever,’ you blink up at him, ‘you can let go of me now.’
‘kiss me and i’ll think about it,’ his frown quickly turning into a smirk.
‘get away from me, you stink,’ faking disgust as you turn your head to the side, trying to conceal your own smile creeping onto your face.
‘shut up,’ he mutters, attacking your exposed neck with a million kisses, eliciting a loud shriek as he pushes you back into the lockers, the metal banging as your back collides with it.
‘not in the fucking garage,’ your uncle rounds the corner, pissed that he’d been subjecting to such a sight.
eddie lets go immediately, wiping his sweaty forehead, unknowingly smearing black shit all over the skin. you lean back against the locker, apologising to your uncle with your eyes.
he aggressively tosses his rag at eddie, ‘clean yourself up, you look like a fuckin’ idiot,’ before getting back to tinkering with some car.
-
eddie had somewhat always regarded himself as a hero. needing to constantly save people, throw his weight around when necessary. or completely unnecessarily, as you’d see it.
you usually rolled your eyes and pulled him away. but tonight it hadn’t worked.
and he’d got his ass absolutely handed to him by a group of men in some new bar you were trying. one of them had come up to you, a little drunk and far too handsy. nothing you couldn’t handle on your own.
but eddie had had to get involved, shoving the drunk backwards into the bar, crashing into the rest of his pals gathered around.
so one of them threw a punch, connecting with his jaw, sending him reeling backwards. he’d tried to hold his own, pushing you away in the middle of the chaos.
you’d had to step in the middle when the men had circled around him on the floor, all leather jackets and raging testosterone levels. rather pathetic.
you stayed silent for the entire walk back to his trailer. eddie trailing along, clutching his already bruised cheek.
‘i’m sorry,’ he calls from a few paces behind, groaning as he walked. you ignored it, pressing on until you reached the trailer park.
you stand behind as he unlocks the door, sulking because of his impulsive actions. well deserved, you thought.
as soon as you’re inside, he turns to face you, ‘can you just speak to me?’ pouting, putting on his sickening puppy dog eyes.
you just want to rip his head from his shoulders, it wasn’t like he used his brain much anyway. you shove his chest, ‘sit down.’
he complies, perching on the sofa and still feeling sorry for himself as you grabbed the antiseptic and the cotton pads from the bathroom. walking back into the room with a worthy scowl on your lips.
you sit next to him, slightly too harsh as you turn his face towards you. dousing the cotton wool in the smelly liquid, pressing it to his cheek.
sucking the air in between his teeth and gripping onto the soft sofa, ‘jesus fuck,’ he curses, but stays sat still, too scared of what you’d do if he dared move.
‘serves you right,’ you hiss, dabbing the cotton on the wound, ‘i owe you a fucking black eye for that shit.. i’ve told you, i don’t need you to start throwing fists for me.’
he places his hand on your arm, eyes sad as they gaze up at you, ‘i know.. but he was fuckin-,’ stopping whatever he was about to say when your eyes meet his, glaring at him.
‘yeah, he was a creep.. but i can handle it, eddie,’ running your finger over his split lip, garnering a wince from eddie.
‘yeah,’ admitting defeat with a soft squeeze of your arm, ‘i’m sorry,’ eyes glimmering with hope when your face softens, not able to stay mad at him for very long.
‘mhm,’ tossing the now-red cotton ball onto the small coffee table, ‘does it hurt?’ locking eyes with him once more.
‘only a little.’
you pause briefly, ‘thank you.. for protecting my honour or whatever, but i can handle that shit without you.’
he doesn’t reply verbally, but his eyes glint, lips curling into a small smile. he doesn’t need to say it. you know exactly what that look means. unspoken but you can feel it so deeply.
it’s exactly why you felt so sick watching him essentially get jumped. why your heart stang when he hadn’t got back up.
‘i know you can,’ breaking the silence, fingers still curled around your arm.
you exhale, giving in completely, ‘well, at least you look super tough now.,’
‘y’think so?’
‘mhm, sexy too,’ once again tracing over the small cut on his lip, pulling his lip down with your thumb.
his eyes glisten with infatuation, the simple action already driving him crazy. gazing at you through long eyelashes and praying to god you’d always be here to clean his wounds.
-
you hadn’t realised you’d dozed off to sleep until the creaking of the trailer door jolts you awake. you’d got tired of waiting for eddie, who had promised to be back before eleven. telling you it’d be fine to just go straight to his, wayne wouldn’t mind.
the dusty alarm clock flashed 3:30, hours after he’d told you he’d be there.
the floorboards creak and there’s hushed whispers from the living room that you can just about vaguely make out as something along the lines of, ‘shit, sorry.’
‘what the hell are you doin’? she’s been in there waiting for you all fuckin’ night.’
‘i know.. sorry for waking you uncle wayne, night.’
you close your eyes again before eddie’s bedroom door opens and he creeps into the room. you brace, waiting to see if he’ll acknowledge your presence.
‘you awake?’ he calls out quietly, shimmying out of his denim jacket.
‘yep.’
‘i’m sorry i’m late.. i got caught up,’ you can hear him rustling about, stepping around the shit on his floor to get to the bed.
he sits on the few inches of mattress between you and the edge, reaching his arm out to find your body resting his hand on your exposed arm.
‘where the fuck have you been?’ you glower at him, his shitty plastic blinds letting in just enough of the bright moon to illuminate his face.
‘i was with rick.. i didn’t realise what time it was,’ kicking his shoes off onto the old carpet.
‘don’t lie to me eddie.’
he sighs and you can see his eyes drop, knowing he’d already been caught out, anything he tried to say now was futile.
‘alright,’ thumb stroking your goosebump filled arm, trying to keep you docile enough to tell you the full story, ‘promise you won’t get mad?’
you brace, waiting for the horrible truth of how he’d been with some girl, that this was pointless and you should get the fuck out of his bed. you nod, perhaps not really meaning it.
‘right..’ he bites down on his bottom lip, shuffling to face you, ‘rick uh, got into some shit, needed some cash to get out of it.. you really can’t get mad, alright?’
‘i won’t, just tell me,’ reaching out to latch your finger into the silver chain hanging from his belt loop, now knowing that at least this had fuck all to do with you.
he swallows, finding your eyes in the darkness, ‘we robbed that corner store down on seventh.. it was a one time thing, yeah? these people he was fucking with are bad news, we had to,’ he scrabbles to justify himself to you.
‘what?’
‘i said you can’t get mad.’
‘i’m not mad.. is that what that fucking gun was for?’
‘no- well, i dunno.. he had it on him but he didn’t use it, promise,’ hand sliding up your arm to caress your cheek.
‘how much did he need? jesus christ eds, i wish you’d just told me,’ you pout, picturing him in some crazy western-style shootout in the tiny corner store.
‘i know, i’m sorry.. i didn’t want you getting involved, it’s done now, no more,’ thumb pressed against your temple drawing small lines on your skin.
‘okay,’ you nod, not quite believing him but having to suffice with what he was giving. you didn’t like to think about the shit he got up to with rick, better left in the dark for the sake of your sanity.
‘y’gonna let me in? s’fucking freezing out here.’
you oblige, shuffling across the bed and lifting the blanket for him to crawl under. he quickly gets out of his jeans, throwing his t-shirt somewhere on the ground before getting under the blanket.
his cold arms wrapping around your waist, pulling you into his chest. you shiver under his touch, sighing when your head touches his skin.
‘m’sorry,’ he mumbles into the top of your hair, ‘i’m all yours tomorrow.’
you mutter a small, ‘good,’ nestling into his hold, slowly dropping off to sleep, comforted by his warm arms.
-
eddie was absolutely furious. you hadn’t even meant to say it, at least not in the way it had came out.
he was being a dick again, showing off at the bar after you’d already told him you wanted to go home. but he wasn’t listening. and ended up with the swollen cheek to show for it.
‘how many times do i have to tell you that you can’t just fucking fight people because they were rude to you once?’ you huff, gripping onto the steering wheel.
‘i’m sorry, okay? you could’ve gone home.. i would’ve been fine on my own,’ he counters, rubbing his sore cheek, slumped down in the passenger seat.
you scoff, ‘yeah, looked like it,’ rolling your eyes as you’d had to pull him off of the floor once more.
‘jesus christ, it’s not that deep, i’m alive.. you’re alive, just leave it,’ fed up, with his ego slightly bruised, he didn’t mean to snap but tonight had pissed him off too.
‘you’re gonna end up dead.. or just like your dad, is that what you want?’ you’d immediately regretted it, the words sounded foreign leaving your mouth.
‘is that what you think i am? see, you think you know me, know my dad.. but you haven’t got the slightest idea what it’s like,’ he spits back, face screwed up in frustration.
‘i didn’t- i didn’t mean it like that,’ you plead, sneaking brief looks at his aggravated face.
‘d’ya know what? let me out here, i’ll walk.’
‘eddie.. i’m sorry please ju-,’
‘let me out of this fucking car,’ he hisses, already pushed past his limit.
you oblige, pulling over on the dark road. you weren’t far from the trailer park but it’d be at least a twenty minute walk and it was pitch black.
‘it’s dark, will you be okay?’ but you’re cut off with a slam of the door, he’s already stormed off into the woods before you can even think about locking the doors and trapping him inside.
you’d honestly thought he wasn’t being serious. an empty threat. biting down onto your bottom lip, internally debating whether to go out into the woods and drag him back.
the thing is, eddie knew the woods, had used them as a shortcut to get home for years, whereas you’d merely driven past on the way to his. there was no use in going out there with no flashlight and ending up lost.
so you turn the car around, driving towards your own house for once. you’d see him at the garage tomorrow. he’d have calmed down and you can weasel your way back into his good books.
except, he doesn’t turn up for work the next day.
your stomach flips when your uncle comes banging around the corner expecting eddie to be trailing behind.
‘where is he?’
‘what? he’s not here? i don’t- i don’t know, we uh,’ you stop yourself, ‘i stayed at home last night.. i thought he’d be here,’ mind racing, already thinking of what terrible things could’ve happened in those creepy woods.
‘he hasn’t turned up, y’wanna tell him that if he’s sick i need a phone call, something.. he doesn’t get off just because you two are messin’ about,’ he points his blackened finger at you, walking back into the garage shaking his head.
you don’t even make it fully into the warehouse, turning on your heel back to your old car and speeding out of there. you’d check the trailer first and then make the treacherous journey through the woods.
when you drive up the gravel, you can see his van isn’t parked outside in it’s usual spot. okay, maybe he went out. or was just late to work. at least you know he’d made it back and wasn’t still in the woods somewhere.
you still knock on the grimy door, knowing that wayne would probably just be waking up.
the door swings open and he looks positively fuming until he sees it’s you, ‘oh, y’alright doll? early isn’t it?’
‘hey wayne, is eddie home? he didn’t turn up for work so i’m just.. wondering if he’s okay..’ you swallow loudly, knowing damn well he wasn’t in there.
‘no.. no he went out last night, seemed pretty pissed off so i didn’t bother to ask- you okay? y’look like you’ve seen a ghost,’ he looks genuinely concerned, holding onto the plastic rim of the door.
‘we had an argument and he stormed off,’ tears welling in your eyes.
‘yeah i figured, i’m sure he’s alright.. sometimes he just needs to calm down for a while, don’t let it worry you,’ he adds, the sentiment was nice but your heart was thudding.
you weren’t even officially together for fuck sake. but you at least knew how you felt about him and had a small inclination that he felt similarly. maybe you’d fucked it for good. he had no real loyalties to you, what was stopping him from running off and never speaking to you again.
‘okay,’ you nod, blinking rapidly so to hide your tears, ‘can you please tell him to call me if, or when he gets back?’
‘sure thing sweets, i’ll see you later,’ he waves before closing the door.
you traipse off back to your car, thinking of a list of places he could possibly be. a handful of them being immediately crossed off as it was the middle of the morning.
-
it’s almost evening before you think to check rick’s house. having driven around all day looking at his usual spots for him, asking everyone if he’d been there or if they knew where he could be.
it was only at the hideout where one of the girls behind the bar suggests rick’s with a chuckle.
eddie had stopped by rick’s before, you’d stayed in the van though and he’d disappear inside before emerging with a ton of weed and a shit eating grin on his face.
you can spot his van the second you round the corner. feeling the relief wash over you the second you know he’s actually still alive and in hawkins. then the feeling of guilt is replaced by rage. annoyed that you’d driven the entirety of this shithole town and he’d just been here getting high the entire time.
there’s a small second in which you debate if going up and banging on the door was actually a good idea or if it’d just cause more problems.
you do it anyway, parking next to his van and walking up the wooden steps to the massive house. a muffled thumping of music gets louder as you approach. they probably wouldn’t even hear you.
but you knock, waiting patiently for someone, hopefully eddie, to answer.
the door opens, revealing a skinny, tousled man who you’d never seen before, he stares at you, mouth open for what feels like minutes.
‘is eddie in there?’ you ask, staring back at the strange man.
‘yeah, two seconds,’ he mumbles before closing the door, hopefully going to get the man. you couldn’t be sure he even knew what you said.
the door opens again a few moments later, looking rather disheveled, eyes wild and still in the same clothes he’d skulked off in last night. he stinks of a mixture between booze and weed, hair hanging limp around his face.
‘woah hey, what are you doing here?’ sounding genuinely confused, not the reaction you’d imagined.
‘well, you didn’t show up for work.. i wanted to know if you were alright,’ you shrug, suddenly feeling stupid for even stalking him this badly.
‘shit, yeah.. i was s’posed to call, i forgot,’ he steps out onto the porch, closing the door round behind him, ‘you came all the way out here to find me?’
‘yeah,’ you say quietly, just realising how much of a crazy bitch you must seem.
‘eddie!’ a female voice calls from inside the house. you look between him and the door as she peers round the door, a pretty girl, someone else you’d never seen before.
your heart sinks.
‘oh shit.. sorry,’ she grimaces, ‘i just wanted to know if you were coming back in?’
‘just give me two minutes, alright?’ he glares at her as she holds her hand up in apology before going back into the house.
that blind rage you’d felt pulling up the house reappears and you’d love to reach across and slap his now-very purple cheek.
‘that’s not- that wasn’t what you think it was,’ he pleads, noticing your clenched jaw and balled up fist.
‘yeah i’m sure it wasn’t,’ you add sarcastically, ‘i can see that you’re perfectly fine so i’m gonna go ahead and leave, you have fun,’ heart beating out of your chest as you turn around and walk down the wooden steps.
he’s already hot on your tail, ‘can you just- baby listen to me,’ calling out from a few paces behind.
‘get fucked,’ you spit, trying to get into your car before he could reach you.
he’s grabbing at your arm the second the cars unlocked, ‘listen to me,’ you’re spun around to face him before you can even register what’s going on.
‘what? what are you gonna say? you don’t owe me anything, eddie.. you can do whatever you want,’ your throat burning from the untruthful words.
‘i haven’t-,’ he sighs, collecting himself before continuing, ‘i wanted to piss you off a little, so i came here and then me and rick got into some shit and i lost track of time, i’m sorry,’ fingers beginning to dig into your arm, afraid that if he loosened his grip you’d run away.
‘so who’s your little girlfriend?’ sounding far more jealous than you’d perhaps liked.
‘that’s fucking rick’s girlfriend, i don’t even know her name,’ he pleads, his bottom lip jutted out in his best puppy dog impression.
you swallow, hardly believing him, ‘right, even if that was true, it wouldn’t matter.. you’re single, i’m single, you can do whatever you want,’ shaking your arm as a last ditch attempt to get him off of you and get away.
his face falls, he’d fucked up before, sure. but not to the extent where you wouldn’t be kissing all over him moments after he apologised. or where you’d outwardly expressed your lack of an official title.
it wasn’t like he wasn’t aware that you weren’t exactly official. he just always assumed that there was an understanding that you two were together, but not really.
‘you’re not serious? i fucked up, i know. but i haven’t fucked her- or, or anyone else for that matter.’
his fingers loosen and you take that as your opportunity to yank your arm away, opening the car door and getting halfway in when his hand slams onto the metal, stopping you from closing the it.
‘get off of my car,’ you glare, your hand gripping the handle as you argue with him.
‘i’m trying to talk to you, you won’t even give me that?’ he begs, knuckles white as he’s losing the battle against the door.
‘i have nothing to say to you,’ you spit, using your other hand to gain leverage, he relents and you slam the door shut. shoving the key into the ignition before speeding off out of the long driveway.
eddie stands there gormless for a minute. staring as your car disappears into the distance. he kicks his boot into a pile of leaves, cursing as the front door opens and rick peers round having heard the entire argument from his front room.
he argues against getting into his van and chasing after you but he’s still well over the limit and you’d only be more pissed off if you knew.
-
you must’ve passed out at some point, exhausted from the rage and pain of it all. not even bothering to crawl under your blanket, just in a heap on one side of your bed.
the window slides open, forcing you out of your slumber. a string of curses come from the other side of your room and then a small thud as whichever crazy psychopath makes their way into your room.
you bolt upright, eyes adjusting to the dark room. just about making out the silhouette of the man. the undeniable curly hair making it rather easy to decipher who it is.
‘shit,’ he mumbles, feeling his way through the room towards your bed, tripping on something on the floor, he hadn’t noticed you sit up.
you switch the lamp on, squinting as the light fills the room. looking like a deer in headlights as he pauses, frozen as you glare over at him.
‘what the fuck are you doing?’ you hush, knowing your dad was definitely fast asleep just down the hall.
‘i didn’t wanna wake your dad up,’ he looks down at the floor to see what was caught around his foot and then back at you, ‘i need to-,’ he looks down again, realising exactly what he’d tripped over, ‘is that my fucking shirt?’ he picks the torn up piece of fabric off of his boot.
you’d hacked at the metallica shirt with a pair of rusty scissors, now in multiple pieces strewn across your floor. the scissors dumped somewhere next to your bed.
‘you cut up my shirt?’ he asks, bewildered, the black cotton just dangling from his fingers as he walks over to the bed.
‘no,’ a blatant lie, ‘the dog ate it,’ shrugging innocently.
he’s in disbelief but his lips twitch, turning into a smirk, dropping what was left of his shirt back onto the floor, ‘you’re fucking crazy, you know that?’ now towering over you beside the bed.
‘you’re a fucking asshole, you know that?’ you refute, still so infuriated with him.
‘yeah, i do,’ he sits on the empty half of your bed, ‘that’s why i’m here,’ eyes full of hope, the exact opposite to how you’d left him just hours prior.
‘you’re here to tell me that you’re an asshole? could’ve saved yourself a trip, i’m already well aware of that.’
‘are you gonna shut up and listen to me?’
you scowl at him but keep your mouth shut, nodding to get him to carry on.
‘i’m here because i- hm,’ he tenses, moving up the bed, his hands cupping both of your cheeks, needing your full attention, ‘because i fucking love you, yeah?’
his brown eyes search your face for a response when you don’t answer, hands slowly releasing their grip on your skin. maybe it was too little too late, had he fucked any chance at making things right?
you take a minute to read his face, trying to determine if he was just trying to weasel his way back into the comfortable position he was in with you.
when his face rightly falls due to your lack of an answer, you finally croak out a small, ‘you do?’
his hands squeeze the fat on your cheeks, relieved to hear something come out of your mouth, ‘of course i do,’ he looks slightly offended that you’d even question the legitimacy of what he’d said.
so you lunge forward, crashing your lips to his, grinning against his cheek as your lips connect in a chaotic kiss. his body falling backwards onto the mattress as your torso collides with his, holding himself up with one hand.
‘holy fuck,’ he mutters into your mouth, clinging onto your jaw for some stability.
you pull away, eyes glimmering as you gaze up at him, ‘i love you too,’ twisting your face into a satisfied smile.
uncaring if your dad could hear, forcing him backwards onto your mattress, clambering atop, your lips hazily connecting with his again.

Chapter two
Series masterlist
-
The shrill sound of a telephone ringing wakes Eddie from his deep sleep, groaning in annoyance, he opens his eyes only to screw them shut when the sunlight hits him directly in his face. Reaching for one of the pillows on his bed, he slams it on his face, “shut up,” he mumbles as the phone keeps ringing.
He hopes that one of the guys will pick it up but it keeps ringing and ringing.
“Gareth!” Eddie yells out to his friends, knowing that he is probably awake already, “pick it up!”
Eddie rolls his eyes when he gets no response, the house is silent aside from the obnoxious ringing.
And then, it finally stops and Eddie sighs in relief. Relaxing into the comfort of his warm bed again. But his peace is disturbed a minute later when the phone begins to ring again.
He groans, throwing the pillow and the blanket off of him, he jumps up, his bare feet hitting the wooden floors as he rushes out of his room, walking past Gareth’s room, he catches a glimpse of the empty bed, he is no doubt relaxing on the patio, totally ignoring the phone. Asshole.
Running down the stairs, he rubs his tired eyes, leaning against the wall as he comes to a halt, he reaches for the phone, closing his eyes.
“Hello?” he mumbles, grumpily.
“Hi… did I wake you up?”
Eddie opens his eyes, a smile appears on his face and he suddenly feels wide awake, “no no– you’re fine. How are you doing, y/n?”
“Good, I’m doing good,” you giggle at the sudden change in his voice, “how are you doing, Eddie?”
He grins, leaning his head against the wall, he closes his eyes again, “better now that you called.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes.”
Your breathy laugh makes his chest feel all warm.
“So uh– how about we write some songs today?”
“I’d love that.”
“Cool, you could come over to my place, if you want?”
“That would be nice.”
He walks into the kitchen with a large smile after hanging up the phone. He looks down at the notebook where he wrote down your address.
“What’s got you all smiley and shit?”
Eddie shuts the book and throws it on the kitchen counter, locking eyes with Gareth who just took his headphones off.
“Dude, the phone kept ringing!” Eddie complains as though it wasn’t just the best call he had in a while.
“Oh,” Gareth mumbles, giving him an apologetic look, he points to his headphones, “sorry– who called?”
Eddie says your name as he pours himself a cup of coffee.
A knowing look flashes in Gareth’s eyes, he leans against the counter and smirks at his friend, “oh, that’s why you’re so happy at 9 am in the morning.”
It’s been a week since they started practicing with you. You came by on Sunday and after that, you came by every day after work to practice with them and work on the songtexts with Eddie. Gareth and the others– especially Eddie are happy about you joining the band. Not only do you help them improve, you also make the band even better, just by being there.
Eddie scoffs, shaking his head, “I’m not happy.”
“Right,” Gareth chuckles, “so uh– what did she want?”
Running a hand through his messy curls, Eddie turns around to look at his friend, taking a sip of his coffee, he stares at him through his bangs, “gonna work on some of the song texts today.”
“Oh, cool,” he says, “is she coming over?”
Eddie shakes his head, “no, I uh, I’m going over to her place.”
His best friend’s eyes widen and he nods, “ah, you are going over to her place, huh?”
“Dude.”
Gareth snorts and turns away from Eddie, walking towards the fridge, he takes out the milk and places it on the counter before he grabs himself a bowl and his favorite cereal, ignoring the way Eddie looks at him.
“You know, I think she’s pretty cool.”
Eddie nods, “she is.”
“Very talented,” Gareth says as he pours the honey nut cheerios into the green bowl.
“Very,” Eddie says.
“I love her voice,” he smiles, reaching for the milk.
“I love her voice too.”
Gareth smirks to himself, “bet she’s gonna rock the stage.”
“She will.”
“She’s very hot too.”
“Yea–” Eddie clears his throat, turning away and pretending like he said nothing.
Gareth only chuckles to himself as he begins to eat his cereal.
Eddie closes his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose, he sighs in annoyance.
‘I have a girlfriend,’ he thinks to himself, repeating it over and over again in his head.
“You talked to Sam yet?” Gareth asks, “about her joining the band?”
“Yes,” Eddie mumbles, “I gave him the recordings, he loved them– loved her voice.”
“Cool.”
“Yeah, cool.”
-
Eddie can’t explain why but whenever he is about to see you, he feels this weird tension in his body, he is giddy, excited and nervous but the moment your eyes lock, he feels calmness washing over him, the tension in his body leaves as quickly as it comes.
Right now, he is standing in front of your door, taking deep breaths. He hasn’t been alone with you yet– well, he has been alone with you at his house but the guys were still around. This is a little different.
He knocks three times and takes a step back, licking his lips, he brushes his fingers through his curls– he doesn’t even know why he feels the need to impress you but he always makes sure that his hair looks good and that he wears his best shirt, the good pants. God, he feels ridiculous sometimes but whenever he is around you, he feels as though he is in the presence of an already famous rockstar, naturally he has to impress you.
The door opens and you greet him with one of those breathtaking smiles of yours, the kind that is contagious. Your eyes are glowing with happiness.
“Hi.”
“Hey,” Eddie grins at you.
You step aside, stretching your arm out, “well come on in then, rockstar.”
He chuckles, smiling down at you as he enters your home, looking around in curiosity. As though he can feel them, he turns around and his eyes fall on the guitars hung up on your wall.
“Oh wow,” he whispers as he walks towards them.
You close the door and follow him into your living room, his eyes light up when they fall on the black electric guitar, he stretches his hand out, fingers tracing the smooth wood, “she is beautiful,” he whispers, staring at it as though he is in trance.
You laugh, “he is,” you joke.
He looks down at you, smirking, “you play with him sometimes?”
You raise your brows, lips twitching, “of course,” you say with a low voice, “especially at nights, gotta stroke him a little, show him some love, you know?”
Eddie’s eyes widen, cheeks growing red.
You burst into laughter, shaking your head, “that’s so dumb,” you giggle as you turn around and walk to your kitchen, “you want a drink?” you ask, “coke, water, beer.. or some coffee?”
Eddie blinks as he watches you walk off, eyes traveling to your– nope. Eddie forces himself to look away, “y-yeah, a coke would be nice.”
He turns away from the guitars and looks at the pictures on your wall. There is one of you at the recording studio– you smile at someone behind the camera, guitar in your lap. Eddie smiles. There’s a picture of you and a group of girls, he recognizes them from the night at the bar. There’s one of a man with a little girl on his lap– he assumes it’s your dad, he recognized the girl right away, it’s you. Cute.
He turns away and looks at the little table in front of your couch, raising his brows at the unfinished joint in your little ashtray, “you’re a stoner, y/n?” he smirks.
Walking out of your kitchen with two drinks in your hand, you chuckle when you find him pointing to the joint on your table.
“No, just need something to relax sometimes, you know?”
He nods, “I get that,” he says, “you know.. I actually used to sell drugs, back home.” That’s how I got to know my girlfriend– he should have added but he can’t bring himself to do it, he doesn’t know why.
A surprised look flashes in your eyes, “really?” you ask as you hand him his coke.
“Yeah,” he chuckles, “but then I got a job at the garage and my drug dealer career was over.”
Laughing, you shake your head, “and now you’re on the way to becoming a rockstar.”
“Yup,” he smirks as he raises the cup to his lips, drinking the cold sweet beverage.
You stare at him with a smile on your face.
“Shit, I love coke.”
“Me too,” you mumble, still staring into his eyes, getting lost in them.
He furrows his brows, looking down at the water bottle in your hand, “I hope we’re talking about the same kind of coke,” he laughs nervously as he stares into that lost look in your eyes.
Your eyes widen and a laugh leaves your lips, scratching the back of your neck, you shake your head, “we do,” you snort.
Sitting down on your couch and reaching for your notebook, “let’s get to work, shall we?”
He nods, sitting down next to you, he places the drink on the table.
“I made some changes. I stayed up last night. Was hit with this sudden inspiration,” you chuckle as you scoot closer to him, pointing to the new lines you wrote down but Eddie isn’t looking at them yet, no, he is looking at you.
“So uh– how about we change this line ‘crying for you’ to ‘bleeding for you’? I think it works well with the rest of the lines, or we could add it.”
Eddie smiles, you still stare down at your notebook, furrowing your brows.
“Hold on,” you mumble, putting it back down, you get up to get the guitar in your bedroom.
Eddie’s gaze follows you until you disappear in the hallway. He looks down at your notebook, curiosity gets the best of him. He flips the pages, reading the lines of the song he wrote down, he flips to another page and another until he finds a song he doesn’t recognize, ‘death to my heart’.
If it wasn’t the title that got his attention, it definitely would have been the first line.
He doesn’t mean to pry but he can’t help but read the rest of the song text. What starts off with a smile on his face ends with a frown on his face. The look in his eyes can only be described as overwhelmed as he reads it. It’s good, perfect even but it is so sad. So beautiful yet heartbroken.
It’s about the pain of love and loss, the feeling of unrequited love. The feeling of loving someone so much that it crushes your heart and destroys your soul. It’s about a soulmate; how it feels to love the one, have a piece of their heart only to lose them because the time wasn’t right.
“Hey– oh.”
Eddie tears his eyes away from the pages, looking up at you, his eyes grow wide, “I’m sorry, I didn’t want to–”
“No….No, it’s okay,” you mumble as you sit down next to him again, “I actually wanted to play this song for you, see if you'd be interested to work on it."
“Really?”
You nod, looking at him nervously, “but if you don’t like it–”
He puts his hand on your arm, gaze softening, “I love it, y/n. It’s beautiful.”
A smile tugs at your lips, “thank you, it’s my favorite one I’ve written.”
“Would you like to play it for me?”
You blink, breathing nervously as you look into his pretty eyes.
“Okay.”
So you end up playing the song to him, not noticing the look in his eyes. Eddie stares at you with a sense of longing in his eyes. It feels like something inside of him feels drawn to your voice, to you. Perhaps that’s why he gave you a chance in the first place. Eddie was never the type to beg for someone’s help but he did beg you and it wasn’t just your help that he wanted, he wanted you.
His heart feels full, he feels at peace, the way he has longed to feel for so long. Your voice feels like a warm hug, like he can let himself fall into you, knowing that you’ll be there to catch him and hold him in the safety of your arms.
-
Weeks go by and a lot has happened. The guys ‘introduced’ you to Sam but to their surprise you already knew him, confusion was written all over their faces when the older man embraced you in his arms and called you ‘bug’.
“You know each other?” Eddie asked with a confused smile on his face.
“Yeah,” Sam chuckled, “worked with her dad.”
“Kid got just as much talent as he did.”
Given that he talked about your dad in past tense, Eddie figured that your dad isn’t around anymore. He never asked you about it, not wanting to pry but he can’t help but want to know more about him about who he is or was and while you were growing closer and closer, he still didn’t want to bring something up that might make you sad or uncomfortable– he could see the sad look in your eyes when Sam mentioned him.
You rewrote almost every song, making the good ones even better. Eddie was even willing to replace some of his songs with the ones that you have written; he loves them.
Now you have one song left to rewrite and you are struggling, you both are.
Laying on the carpet in his bedroom, you read the song text again, trying to fix the lines with better words but your mind is blank.
You hear the guys playing in the garage, the late afternoon sun peaks through the curtains, the warmth kissing your skin.
Eddie groans, throwing his pen along with his notebook down on the ground, he runs his hand down his face, feeling frustrated, “you got anything?” he asks you.
“No…” you mumble, still keeping your eyes on the words on the pages.
Eddie takes a deep breath and nods as he looks down at you. His breath hitches in his throat. You look beautiful. Hair sprawled around you, your top has ridden up a little, exposing your soft skin, your short jean shorts show off your pretty legs, the sunlight meets your face so perfectly– fuck.
Eddie can’t deny how absolutely gorgeous you are or how it feels to be with you but the moment he allows all these thoughts and feelings in, he gets consumed by guilt. He can’t feel this way about you, he can’t have all these thoughts about you.
After all, there’s someone waiting for him back home.
“I think we have to get out.”
You sit up, furrowing your brows, “you okay?” you ask when you see the conflicted look in his eyes as he stares at you, “Eddie?”
He blinks, snapping out of his thoughts, he tries to give you a smile, “y-yes.”
“Are you sure?” you frown.
“Yeah,” he whispers as he stares at the slight pout on your face, the worried look in your eyes. Damn you, why do you have to be so adorable? “What did you say right now?”
“Uh, I said that we should get out. We’ve been cooped up in here for weeks now, we gotta take a small break– just for tonight, it’ll help get some ideas and inspiration back.”
“You think so?”
“I know so,” you smirk, “and I already know where we’re going.”
You get up and walk towards him, reaching for his hand, you grab it,  “come on.”
Eddie shakes his head, smiling as he gets up. His heart flutters in his chest as your thumb brushes against his skin.
“Where are we going?”
“We’re gonna sing.”
He raises his brows, “the garage is your way of getting out?”
“No,” you chuckle, “we’re going to the bar you kept annoying me in.”
Eddie tilts his head, squinting his eyes, “oh, I was annoying?”
“Very,” you smirk as you lean closer to him, eying the guitar pick necklace around his neck, “kept pestering me.”
He smirks, looking down at your lips for a brief second, “and now you’re here, guess I wasn’t too annoying after all, huh?”
You shrug, “who says that I’m here for you?”
His face falls and he looks confused causing you to giggle.
“I’m here to make music not to hang out with you, Eddie.”
“Ouch, you keep being cold towards me,” he mumbles, closing his eyes as he pretends to wipe his tears away, “so we’re not friends then?”
“Hmm, I don’t know, are we?” you smile as you look up at him, “I thought that we are just band mates.”
“Band mates who spend a lot of time together,” he points out.
“Isn’t that what band mates do?” you giggle as you leave his room.
Well, Eddie certainly never laid on Gareth’s carpet before to write songs with him. Scratching the back of his neck, he sighs. Taking one last look into the mirror before he follows you out.
He walks down the stairs, finding you in the hallway. You stand in front of the mirror, brushing through your hair before you take your purse, fumbling through the small bag until you find what you were looking for, bending forward to get a closer look at yourself, you reapply your lipstick with a concentrated look on your face.
Eddie leans against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest as he watches you.
You see his reflection through the mirror, “you want some?” you chuckle, holding up the red lipstick.
His stomach flutters as you walk towards him, he stares down at your lips– your very kissable lips.
“S-Should we go?” he asks, unable to look away.
You smirk to yourself, putting the lipstick back in your purse, you nod, “let’s go.”
-
After a few drinks, Eddie feels like he can finally relax a little. Weeks of band practice and writing took a toll on him, he rarely ever took breaks but it was time for one, just for tonight at least and he’d be lying if he said that he wasn’t dying for a chance to get to know more about you– outside of the music.
“Tell me about Steve.”
Eddie chuckles, “what about him?”
Ever since he told you about his best friend Steve, you kept bringing him up as though you already knew him personally.
“Tell me about him, what is he like?” you ask, “what does he look like? Is he hot?”
He shakes his head, snorting, “well, considering that he used to be the most popular guy at school, I’d say he’s pretty hot.”
Your eyes light up and you giggle, “I knew it.”
He rolls his eyes, “how?” he mumbles.
You shrug, “I just do. Tell me more.”
Eddie clears his throat, “Everybody loves Steve, kids love him, chicks love him– shit, even my uncle loves him. I mean, I get it, he’s cool. I-I didn’t always think that though, I didn’t like him at first, I thought he was an asshole just like every other jock but it turned out that he’s a pretty cool guy. Dustin– our friend, kept telling me so but I didn’t believe him and then he just started to bring him around Hellfire and forced us to hang out.”
“Hellfire?” you ask, remembering the little drawing on his notebook.
Eddie nods, “yeah, we had this club– you know DnD?”
“Yeah, my cousin is like obsessed with it, forced me to play with him whenever I’d babysit him.”
His face lights up and he smiles, “oh, you’re a little nerd too, huh?”
“Not really,” you laugh.
“Yes you are,” he smirks, leaning closer to you.
You get a whiff of his cologne, mixed with the smell of cigarettes and whiskey– something about his scent makes you feel dizzy.
Eddie tells you more about his life back in Hawkins– his old life. He tells you about his uncle Wayne, about how he took him in and treated him like his own. He tells you about his friends about how supportive they’ve all been when he told him about his plans to move out to LA to pursue the career he always dreamed about.
His eyes glint with happiness but also with sadness, he misses them, his family, his friends.
He tells you everything– well, almost everything. He leaves a small detail out.
You tell him about your friends and about the way you used to work with Sam but that’s it, you don’t talk about your dad, you don’t even mention him and it only sparks his curiosity even more.
“Okay, enough with the talking, let’s sing!” You get up, taking one last sip of your drink before you grab his hand, “the stage is free just for us,” you grin.
Eddie chuckles, downing the rest of his whiskey, he gets up, “what are we gonna sing?” he asks, letting you pull him along to the stage.
He looks around, the bar is definitely less crowded than it was that night you sang but there is still a good crowd.
You look back at him with a smirk and by the look in your eyes, he knows exactly what you want. Every time he hears your car pulling up, he hears the same song playing– he is pretty sure that you do it on purpose at this point.
“No…” he groans.
“Yes!” you exclaim with an excited look in your eyes, you turn your back to him as you walk towards the DJ.
Eddie rolls his eyes as he hears your song choice. Closing his eyes, he pinches the bridge of his nose, he chuckles a little. He’s glad that the guys didn’t end up joining you here tonight, he would have been embarrassed to sing a Fleetwood Mac song in front of them.
You turn back to him, with one microphone in your hand, giving him an excited grin, “I always wanted to sing that song!”
He can’t help but smile when he sees how excited you are, “what do you need me for then?”
You frown at him as you grab his arm and pull him further onto the stage, “Fleetwood Mac has two singers, dude!”
“We’re not Fleetwood Mac tho!”
“Tonight we are,” you giggle as you hand him the mic, “you sing the first verse.”
“Why me?” he asks, throwing his arms up.
“Because I said so!”
The DJ looks between the two of you, raising his brows, “you ready?” he asks.
You give him a thumbs up and a grin. Eddie shakes his head. Yeah, he’d do anything you say.
“The things I do for you,” he mumbles under his breath as he grips the mic tighter in his hand.
You giggle at the grumpy look on his face, the song starts and he keeps his eyes on you, not really caring about the audience. He brings the mic up to his lips, rolling his eyes at you one more time before he begins to sing.
Listen to the wind blow, watch the sun rise
Running in the shadows, damn your love, damn your lies
And if you don't love me now
You will never love me again
I can still hear you saying
You would never break the chain
And if you don't love me now
You will never love me again
I can still hear you saying
You would never break the chain
Your smile is so big as you’re watching him, he can’t help but enjoy this moment. Stepping closer to you, he hands you the mic, ignoring the way his heart fluttered in his chest when your fingers brushed against his and you gave him a wink before you began to sing your verse.
Listen to the wind blow, down comes the night
Running in the shadows, damn your love, damn your lies
Break the silence, damn the dark, damn the light
And if you don't love me now
You will never love me again
I can still hear you saying
You would never break the chain
Just like every time he hears you sing, it’s like he is in a trance and all he sees is you. All he feels is you, your happiness is just radiating off of you when you sing and it’s like he can feel every emotion that floods right through you.
You look into each other’s eyes, nothing around you both exists when you do what you love, especially when you do it together.
His brown eyes flicker with something unreadable, suddenly Eddie grabs your waist and pulls you closer to him, placing his hand above yours, he surprises you by singing the chorus with you.
A weird feeling settles in your chest, you have never been this close to him. His nose almost bumps into yours, his curls brush against your cheek, his hand is still on the small of your back, his touch leaving goosebumps on your skin- no, it's more intense than that. His touch is burning into your skin, making you feel desire and need, all at once.
Neither of you notice that you attracted the audience, that the people are watching you with awestruck expressions on their faces.
You can’t see them because all you see is each other.
If you had to describe this moment with one word, it would be; magical.
Sparks fly when you sing together, there’s no denying that you feel something when you’re with him like this.
You get lost in his eyes every single time. He lets you take a look into his mind, only you can’t read it but you can see the longing, the happiness, the passion and the guilt, you don’t understand what the guilt is for but it unsettles you a little.
You embrace each other after the song, you don’t know who made the first move but you don’t care, not when you feel him pulling you closer. Touching you in such a gentle way, it leaves you breathless. His breath hits your neck, a shiver runs down your spine. His arms are wrapped around your waist, hands squeezing your hips.
You close your eyes and so does he, both smiling in happiness.
Eddie smells your sweet perfume, your shampoo that reminds him of his favorite milkshake; strawberry. He can feel your heart pounding as your chest is pressed against his. Your hands are on the nape of his neck, your lips linger against his shoulder. His heart skips a beat and he feels something he has never felt before, a sense of belonging and it catches him off guard, fills him with fear and the need to escape.
His eyes snap open and the smile falls from his face as the guilt settles deep within his heart.
“I think the people love us,” you whisper into his ear before you pull away with a smirk on your face as you point to the people who are still cheering for you, “guess we should sing more Fleetwood Mac.”
He chuckles, shaking his head, “you wish!”
You end up leaving the bar after your little performance, Eddie suddenly grew quiet, disappearing in his thoughts. A lost and sad look appeared on his face after you sang the song together.
“Hey,” you nudge his shoulder, “everything okay?”
He nods, still looking at the ground as you wander through the streets, he presses his lips together. I have a girlfriend….. I have a girlfriend waiting for me at home… No. He doesn’t have to tell you, right? There’s nothing going on between you two so there’s no reason for him to tell you about her, right?
“Yup.”
Lies. You can see right through him but you don't push him to talk, you would never do that. You hate when others do that to you.
You nod, looking up into the darkening sky, the color reminds you of the ocean.
“Hey, have you ever been to the beach?”
Eddie looks at you with raised brows, “no.”
You gasp as you halt in your tracks, “you have never– what?”
Eddie laughs at the expression on your face, “I’ve been busy,” he shrugs.
“Dude, you came to LA and you haven’t been to the beach? What is wrong with you?”
He pushes your shoulder playfully, “stop insulting me!”
“Never,” you smirk, pushing him back, “so… wanna go to the beach? We could share a joint and just relax, I know a good spot.”
“Now?”
“Yeah… why not?”
"You carry drugs with you?"
"Always," you grin.
Eddie looks around, scratching the back of his neck. He doesn’t really feel like going home yet anyway, “okay, sure.”
-
A secluded beach is not what Eddie had in mind but he loves it, it’s too dark to be able to see how pretty the beach truly is but the moonlight brightens it just enough, especially your beautiful face.
The sand is already in his shoes and sticking to his clothes but he doesn’t mind, at least not right now when he is high and without a care in the world. You both stare at the crashing waves, enjoying the sound and the smell of the ocean.
For the past 20 minutes, you sat there in comfortable silence, just passing the joint back and forth– both deep in thoughts.
Once again, Eddie’s mind takes him back to your songs, to the picture on your wall, to the questions about your dad, to your life, to that one song and this time he finally lets one of the questions fall from his lips.
“Have you ever been in love?”
You turn to look at him to find him staring at you already, curiosity swimming in his eyes.
“Why do you ask?”
He shrugs, “just had to think of your song, 'death to my heart',” he explains, reaching for the joint you offer to him, he takes a long drag before he gives it back to you, “first time I read it, I thought that that can only be written by someone who was deeply in love and got their heart broken.”
You chuckle, “I’ll take that as a compliment, that’s what I was hoping it sounds like,” you pause, getting lost in his eyes once again, “but no, I have never been in love before.”
He stares at you in surprise, “seriously?”
“Seriously.”
“B-But you’ve had partners before, right?”
You shake your head, “not serious ones.”
His eyes widen, a frown settles on his face. Not serious ones. He knows what you mean by that and he doesn't like to think about you having not serious partners- it makes him feel jealous.
“But uh– I’ve never really dated anyone.”
“Why not?”
You sigh, placing your palms on the sand, you lean back, “cause I've never met anyone that I liked in a way that wasn't platonic."
He looks confused, waiting for you to continue.
“You know how you sometimes just meet someone and you just both get along so well, you share the same interests and the love for things that it ties you to each other?”
He nods.
“Well, sometimes we mistake those feelings for love, we can mistake platonic love for romantic love so easily, especially when we're lonely and we just want love and when the other person feels the same, we end up in a very messy situation because in the end people we like, adore, admire or love platonically are just people who were always supposed to be friends, just our friends. And that person is someone who was never supposed to be yours, you know?” you pause to take a deep breath, lips setting in a frown as you look into his eyes. "I mean, I'm not saying that you can't be in love with your friend because you can be -- but, uh-- I'm rambling, what I'm trying to say is, I don't want to date someone I just love or have to learn how to love, I want to be with someone that I'm genuinely in love with."
“You think just love isn't enough?” He asks with a frown on his face.
“I don't know. Just love isn't enough for me,” you shrug. "Because what if I settle for someone, build a life with them but then meet the person that I end up falling in love with?"
The look in his eyes is almost one of heartbreak.
“I wouldn’t want to break my partners heart and I'd probably stay with them, but then I’d also be miserable for the rest of my life because I wouldn’t be with the one I truly want.”
His heart feels heavy in his chest, his eyes show nothing but regret and a longing for something he will never have.
"A-And what if you won't find that person?"
"I don't know," you shrug, "I don't have a problem with being alone, I can still see people, you know? But I just don't see the point of being with someone that I don't love in a way that I wish I would. But hey, maybe the love I'm talking about doesn't even exist," you laugh, blushing when you realize how much you just rambled. "And maybe I will actually befriend someone that I end up loving in that way."
He smiles at your words, though it doesn't reach his eyes.
"And the song? It's about two people who met at the wrong time?" He asks, curiosity flashing in his eyes.
"Soulmates," you correct him.
“And there’s no happy ending for them?”
“No,” you whisper.
“Why not?”
You shrug, heart aching in your chest when you see the broken look in his eyes.
“Because he chooses the wrong one.”
“And what about her?”
A breathy laughter falls from your lips when you think of how dramatic those words might sound.
“She dies of heartbreak.”
“Oh..”

~I need a favor~ Part 1
Part 2
Tumblr media
Pairing:Brienne of tarth x Reader
Warnlings : (+18) None I think.
Gender: mostly fluff.
Summary:Returning from a big battle, your friend Brienne has news that will change both of your lives forever.
><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><
You smiled as you felt the sun gently warm your face, stretched your muscles and sighed without yet opening your eyes. Today Brienne was coming back from one of her intense battles and that made you very happy, you missed her a lot. You and the blonde were friends or something like that for a while now, you were both attracted to each other, that was obvious, anyone who saw how you looked at each other and talked would notice. But you never tried to do anything about the mutual feelings because of her work, which required her to spend a lot of time away, she said she didn't want you to stay for weeks or months waiting for her not knowing if she would come back or not, if she was alive or not, she said she could never put you through that; but even though you were nothing, you still waited for her with anxiety and fear, even though you were nothing to each other, she was everything to you.
But none of that mattered, today she came back and that made you happy. Brienne would always stop by your house when she came back, even before she went to hers. But it was also true that your house was practically hers, too, because she spent more time in your rooms than in hers.
With laziness but excitement, you got out of bed and changed your garments, going to the kitchen so you could prepare an elaborate meal for when she arrived, you also made yourself something quick for breakfast.
The knock on the door surprised you, but it surprised you even more when the blonde was there at your door when you opened it, she had arrived much earlier than expected. Her face still had dirt and blood stains, that showed that she had not yet gone to present herself to the king to give a summary of the battle, she had returned from the battle directly to your house, which was very rare that happened since seeing the king as soon as she returned was a direct order that she should not break. But still she had broken it and was standing in front of your door with a big cut on her eyebrow, or something had gone horribly in battle or you didn't know what had happened, you tried to caress her face but she grabbed your hand preventing it, she quickly entered your house and locked the door. You followed her with your eyes as she walked around your house, just at that moment you noticed the cloth bag that she had hanging on her shoulder and resting on her hip, the blonde was muttering things to herself avoiding looking at you and without staying still for a second, she had not even said hello to you
-"Brienne... What's going on, you're scaring me, are you alright?"-You spoke slowly, worried that your voice would scare her. For the first time she looked into your eyes, the blood from the cut was about to cloud her vision
-"I am fine... I... I just need... To think..."-She muttered half lost, gripping the straps of the bag she was carrying tighter, so hard that her knuckles cracked white, with delicate steps you approached her
-"At least let me clean your wound"-you whispered but she took a step back looking at you scared, you were about to insist until you noticed how her bag moved on its own and you looked at her with more confusion
-"I need to show you something and I'm going to need your help, a favor for which I'll be in debt all my life, but there's no one else I can turn to for this" - she spoke with pleading in her tone of voice, and grabbed the cloth bag carefully-"Don't scream please" - she whispered before opening the bag and showing you a baby wrapped in a piece of cloth, sleeping peacefully with his thumb in her mouth, it was a small baby no more than a couple of months old. You opened your eyes wide and looked at her scared and confused
-"What did you do Brienne, where did you get that baby? Whose baby is that? "-You whispered, unable to take your eyes off the little creature that was now in the blonde's arms. The baby was small, but in your tall friend's arms, she looked even more tiny and fragile. They looked like an illustration of the books your mother read to you when you were little, where the paintings in those books exaggerated the size of people or things to generate great impacts on the memory of the reader and to show contrasts between the characters.
Brienne was holding the baby very carefully in her arms, but her body was shaking, when she looked up and fixed her gaze on yours, you could see the fear she had of holding the baby in her arms, even her eyes were a little watery and her lip was also trembling, she was terrified to hold that child in her arms, she was terrified to have such a fragile life depending on her
-"When we were coming back from the battle... We saw villages burned by the wildings, there were burned bodies everywhere, slaughtered bodies everywhere I looked, there were too many, so many that it turned my stomach and made me feel sick. As I was about to leave the place to continue on our way, I heard a cry in the distance, it seems that no one else paid attention to it except me, when I got closer to the origin of the crying, this little baby was wrapped in thick and warm furs next to the body of a dead wild woman. I knew that if the others saw the baby, they would want to kill it because it belongs to a savage and they hate them and I know that maybe the savages would have come back for him, but winter is coming and I couldn't leave it there to his fate hoping they would come for him. So I did the first thing that came to mind, I emptied my cloth bag and laid him down there carefully and brought him with me, fed him with milk from animals I found and took care of him as best I could, but I don't know what to do now, no one's going to believe he could be mine 'cause no man wants me and if they find out he's a savage, they'll kill him and I don't want that... I know it's a lot to ask, but I need you to help me take care of it, I can't do it alone"-Brienne begged, her voice trembling, and her eyes dropped a few tears
-"Brienne I would give my life for you and you know it, but I don't have the resources to raise a child, you know I don't make much cooking... Besides, I don't know anything about children..."-You whispered, still surprised to see the baby
-"I'll bring you everything he needs, food, clothes, medicine or whatever... I've also seen you take care of the ladies' children, you're excellent with them, at least you have more experience than me and that's already a big step forward. I won't leave you alone, I'll help you in any way I can and I'll come every day, but please help me, I'm begging you..."-the blonde pleaded, hugging the baby to her chest. The truth is that you owed a lot to her, If you had a house it was thanks to her, the same with the job you owned. She always got you what you needed and since you didn't have a family, every time you got sick, she took care of you. This was too much to ask, but you couldn't deny her anything.
-"Fine, but for the smell of him, he just popped and you are going to change him, and when you're done, you'll let me clean up and heal your wound"-You responded and went to finish the meal, you were very nervous and scared but you wanted to keep your composure because you had never seen the blonde so scared to do something as she was at that moment and you wanted to be someone she could trust and lean on. As you cooked, you watched as the blonde struggled to change it, meanwhile, the little baby touched its own diaper, staining its little hand and then passing it through your friend's arm, which made her scream and the baby laugh.
As you watched the awkward and beautiful interaction, you couldn't believe what you were doing, you had agreed to raise a baby with a woman you were madly in love, with the same woman you dreamed of starting a family together and who unintentionally, maybe it would become a reality.

Scene idea for ya. Lute's a jealous girl. Imagine she and Adam are getting nasty, and she says something like "Tell me I'm better than Layla."
Adam complies, something like "Miles better, babe."
But after when they're cuddling, he nudges her and goes "Hey...No more about the other girls, alright Lute? There's a reason you're here, and they're not, and you already know why." And pulls her in closer.
(Im terrible at writing sex forgive me if this is bad lol)
Hey Anon,
Your wish is my command <3
“Say it, Adam.”
He blinked, confused. “Wait – what am I supposed to be saying?”
Conversation wasn’t important right now. What was important though, was the fact that Lute was riding him like her life depended on it, which had rendered him mostly speechless.
Most of the time, she was more than happy for Adam to take the lead in the bedroom – which he had no complaints about whatsoever. He liked being the one in control. Sometimes, however, Lute would suddenly get a tell-tale gleam in her eye, and before Adam would have the chance to question it, she’d pounce on him, practically ripping his clothes off with her hands – her teeth too, if she could.
It was hot as fuck.
Tonight, had been one of those nights. They’d been hanging out on the couch after work, like normal, and next thing Adam knew, she was dragging him into the bedroom and threw him on the mattress. In that moment, he knew this was going to be one of those encounters.
He just wished he also knew what the fuck she was on about. It didn’t help that he could feel himself starting to climax; he found his hips starting to chase hers, a dead giveaway that he was close.
“Say. It,” she growled, placing emphasis on each word as she continued to roll her hips forcefully against his. She grabbed his chin and forced him to look her in the eye, her golden irises burning into his own. “Tell me I’m better than Layla.”
Oh.
Oh.
She was in one of those moods.
“Babe,” he panted, taking hold of her hips as he bucked up into her. “Nobody even compares. You’re so much better.” He found himself momentarily breathless as he started reaching the point of no return. “So. Much. Bett-argh!”
He couldn’t finish his sentence; his release sent thousands of tiny, pleasurable shockwaves that pulsated throughout his body. Throwing his head back into the pillow, he groaned as he felt Lute contract around him, the overstimulation now almost unbearable as she collapsed onto his chest with a loud cry.
It didn’t happen often, but fuck it was hot when they came together.
She rolled off him and immediately flung an arm over her eyes. Her heaved erratically, and Adam couldn’t help but smile as she tried – in vain – to bring herself back down to Heaven from wherever she ascended to during her orgasm.
“That good, huh?” he breathed. She nodded, unable to speak. It wasn’t uncommon for her to be rendered speechless for several minutes after they had sex; especially when she was the one driving it. Afterglow Lute was something else entirely. Her hair was tousled from running her hands through it, her cheeks and chest were flushed from exhaustion, and her lips were so swollen from how forcefully she’d been kissing him. Adam thought that she looked the most beautiful like this, in her blissful, fucked-out state that he’d grown to love over the short amount of time that they’d been together.
“Yeah,” she sighed eventually, removing her arm from her face as she smiled at him. “That good.”
He smirked back at her before nudging her arm with his elbow. “Hey,”
“What?”
Rolling onto his side, Adam brushed Lute’s damp hair back from her face. “No more about the other girls, alright Lute?”
“Adam, I—”
“—I fucking mean it, babe.” He scooted closer to her and pulled her to him, their sweat-slicked chests pressing together. “There’s a reason you’re here and they’re not.” She looked up at him and the corners of her eyes crinkled.
“Why?” she pressed, drawing lazy circles with her index finger on his bicep. The lightness of her touch sent a pleasant shiver down his spine.
“You know why.”
Lute shifted her attention to his hair, raking her hand through it. “Because I’m your best girl?” she offered, her voice shifting to a softer, shier tone that contrasted her hard, determined demeanour entirely.
“Yeah, Lute.” He kissed the top of her head before wrapping his arms around her small frame, holding her tight. She buried her face into the crook of his neck, and he smiled as he rested his cheek atop her head. “You’re my best girl, alright.”

It's here! I don't have a name for these series of connected prompts just yet but I'm sure I'll think of one! I was originally going to write the characters doing more in this chapter but it didn't work out. Still, I'm happy with this narrative I'm creating. By the way, I am planning on posting this to AO3 like all my other works if you want to check it out!
@owl-bones Please let me know if you don't want me to tag you for each prompt. Thanks for making the list!
Next Day.
Bad Sansuary: Horror - Hot Drinks
Word Count: 2,914
It was a dreary day today, yet despite the overcast sky and brisk breeze that often whipped snow into your face, it was the nicest it had been in days. You'd practically gone stir crazy after a freak snow storm had blown in several days ago and so now you were getting some much needed fresh air.
It had been an incredibly spontaneous decision to come out to this barely traveled trail. You'd been meaning to check out the area for ages but had been too busy in the fall. While your winter gear was generally enough to keep you warm on most days, it seemed like you should've worn an extra layer or two with how chilly it was out here in the woods in comparison to the city.
Regardless, you were moving at a steady enough pace to keep your blood pumping. So long as you weren't out here for longer than a few hours and got home before it got dark, you should be alright.
The walk had been every bit as beautiful as you'd expected it to be. While the forest was mostly made up of deciduous trees, you were now walking through a large grove of mature cedar trees, which just so happened to be your favorite type of conifers. The dense shrubbery served to insulate this part of the trail from both the wind and the sounds of the wild, not to mention that they smelled lovely as well.
The path made a sharp turn to the left up ahead, although right in front of you was a natural gap in the treeline, possibly made by animals as they passed through this grove. Feeling a tad curious, you ducked under the branches and emerged in a small clearing on the other side.
The clearing seemed to be natural as you couldn't see any signs of tree cutting, even with all the snow. It was framed on all sides by cedar trees whose boughs were blanketed in a thick layer of the white powder. It was strange though. You couldn't see anything that looked special about this little clearing and yet it was so peaceful here.
You'd only walked a few paces into the open space when you felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
Something was very wrong.
Some sort of primal instinct deep inside your soul screamed for you to duck and your body responded without even thinking about it.
You heard the unmistakable sound of an object whizzing through the air where you'd been standing moments prior.
You barely had time to register what happened before someone roughly grasped your shoulder and flung you into the snow.
You landed hard on your right side. The cold snow stung your face. There was pressure on your abdomen.
It took a moment for you to catch your breath. When you did though, you shifted slightly to see what had just attacked you, but as soon as you did so, the pressure on your side increased sharply.
A low rumbling growl was the only warning you got to stay put.
Now your mind was racing. This wasn't a random animal and no human could possibly sound like that. So could it be a monster? They'd been on the surface for a couple years now and were pretty commonplace in the city. In fact, you didn't know of any that would willingly choose to live out in the middle of nowhere after being trapped underground for centuries.
"Uh... H-hey, can...can we talk about this...?" Your voice came out much hoarser than you'd expected it to but you didn't know what else you could do right now.
Nothing happened for what felt like ages. You continued to stay as still as you possibly could, save for the pounding of your heart and how badly you were trembling. The snow was cold and your clothes were rapidly becoming soaked, but you barely registered it.
Your attacker suddenly shifted their body and the pressure on your abdomen eased, although it didn't go away entirely.
You chanced turning your head in their direction this time, rather than trying to move your entire body.
Your gaze immediately locked onto a singular glowing red eyelight. It belonged to a hulking figure of a skeleton monster who was currently pinning you to the ground. The eyelight itself took up almost the entirety of his socket and there was a thin line through the center, likely acting as a pupil. The only other details you could make out from this angle was that he was breathing rather heavily and he had a large hole on the top of the left side of his skull.
You didn't dare break eye contact for fear the monster would lash out suddenly if you did so. Whether it was how blown out his single pinprick looked or the tight smile that seemed much too wide for the current situation, but you could tell something was very wrong him right now.
Taking a shaky breath, you tried to speak to the skeleton again. "H-hey... Big guy... Are you...? Is something wrong?" you asked. Although to your frustration, your tongue betrayed how nervous you really were right now.
He said nothing and just continued to stare down at you, or maybe through you was more accurate. If looks could kill, you'd be dead at least a hundred times over.
For whatever reason, he wasn't actively restraining your arms, just preventing you from getting up. So against your better judgement, you slowly raised your left hand and reached for his face. Although you quickly discovered he was at least several inches out of range and you couldn't actually touch him.
His eyelight tracked your movements and seemed to focus on your outstretched fingers. He still said nothing though and just sat in silence.
"It's okay... Did I startle you earlier?" Your voice was becoming stronger the more you spoke and while you were still rather nervous, you were feeling a bit more confident than before.
He seemed to be acting pretty distant. The lights were on, pun unintended, but nobody was home. So what had stopped him from actually hurting you earlier? The only thing you could think of was when you tried to talk to him and since it seemed to be having a positive effect, you decided to keep doing that.
"Hey... Um, you scared me pretty bad, you know...?" No response. "But it's okay! I'm... I'm not mad or anything..."
People said you tended to ramble when nervous but you'd never believed them until now. Not that you'd been in many life or death situations before now to know, or at least none where talking your way out had been an option.
"Okay... I'm not going to hurt you, but... I'm going to try doing something." With a nervous chuckle, you added, "Just...don't take my hand off, okay...?"
You waited a moment to see if he'd try to respond but shocker, he still didn't react. So against your better judgement, you attempted to sit up so you could reach him. You moved slowly while keeping a close eye on him, but thankfully, he didn't show any signs of further aggression.
He startled when your mittened hand met the right side of his face. His red eyelight wobbled and flicked between your outstretched hand and your face. The corners of his painfully wide smile fell a fraction as he seemed to properly take in the current situation.
"Ah, that's better," you murmured. "You seemed far away so I was wondering if you could actually hear me. Are you...? Are you okay?"
He said nothing and continued to stare at you. Then his gaze flicked back to your hand and his bonebrows furrowed slightly. Before you could protest, he grasped your wrist and with some hesitation, jerked it away.
Crap... His hand is like twice the size of mine.
He let go of you and managed to stand up, staggering away from you. Complete shock was practically written across his skull and you could see how desperately his mind was scrambling to make sense of this awkward situation.
Although your muscles were a bit numb from the cold, you slowly crawled to your feet and attempted to dust yourself off. Although the snow had completely soaked through your pants and coat so your efforts were futile.
"..."
The mysterious skeleton muttered something that was so quiet, you almost didn't realize he'd said anything in the first place.
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch that..."
He blinked, somehow, and actually made eye contact with you this time before trying again. "...sorry..."
His tone was about as deep as you'd expected a guy of his size to sound, although it was also rather subdued. You couldn't be sure if that was just how he spoke or if he was feeling ashamed about what had just happened.
Speaking of his height though, this monster was much taller than you'd initially thought. He was easily more than a foot taller than you were, even with the way he was purposely hunching his shoulders. Was he trying to make himself look smaller?
"It's alright, you didn't actually hurt me," you responded.
He gave you a strange look but didn't say anything else, instead he started looking around in the snow.
Feeling rather awkward, you chewed your lower lip and kicked a small clump of snow. He didn't seem like much of a conversationalist and you didn't blame him right now.
After a moment of searching, he seemed to find what he'd been looking for a couple paces ahead and to the left of where you were currently standing - a large axe with a rather sharp blade. The way it was stuck in the snow suggested he'd actually hurled it at you and the thought of how close your brush with death had really been, sent chills down your spine.
But, if he had intended to kill you from the beginning, how come he'd hesitated to follow through?
You watched as he hefted the axe onto his shoulder with minimal effort. There was one more question on your mind now though.
Who was he?
Taking a step forward, you cleared your throat to get his attention. "Do you need me to call someone?"
He straightened up a bit more but remained facing away from you. "...no."
You frowned and pressed again, "Then...do you live nearby? Do you need help getting home?"
"...no," he responded in that same quiet tone. He turned to look at you again but this time his expression seemed more perplexed than anything.
You didn't know what to say next. You wanted to do something, anything, to help him, but he'd denied each of your attempts to do so. You couldn't just walk away now, not when he was so clearly struggling with something.
"what's with you?"
His question was a bit surprising and it took a second for you to come up with an answer. "You're hurting... I just want to make sure you'll be okay..."
He threw his skull back and laughed. It was a slow, bitter sounding laugh that nearly broke your heart to hear. After what felt like several long minutes, his laughter finally calmed down and he fixed you with a scrutinizing look once again.
"i just about killed ya."
You nodded solemnly, "But you didn't..."
He cut you off with a harsh glare. "and you're incredibly lucky right now..." he growled. "...i'm a dangerous person and you're pretty foolish for stickin' around this long."
You crossed your arms in annoyance. "Yeah, I guess I am foolish..." you huffed. "I don't know how to leave people be, I'm too nice for my own good, and I can't say no to people even if I really don't want to do what they ask me to. So yeah, I know I'm foolish!"
He raised a bonebrow as your voice got louder and louder but let you keep ranting until you'd gotten everything out. Running his free hand over his skull, he chuckled quietly. "wow...sounds like you've had a lot of experience, huh?"
"No kidding..." you muttered.
His footsteps crunched through the snow as he moved closer and you looked up at him again when he stopped about a foot away. He seemed to size you up for a moment before his permanent grin widened slightly.
"you're a funny human..."
You balked and took a step back. "Wha...? What's that supposed to mean?" you stammered.
He chuckled again and placed his free hand on your left shoulder. His touch was much gentler this time, even with the tips of his phalanges being rather sharp like claws.
"just that. ya got spunk to look at a guy like me an' think 'i can help him'." He hummed thoughtfully and then asked, "so how'd ya do it?"
"Do what?"
"shake me out of it..." He trailed off and a confused frown flickered across his face for a moment. "you were talkin' but i don't remember what you said until you touched me..."
"I don't understand. I didn't do anything more than that though. I just... You seemed...like you were somewhere else and not fully aware of what was happening? I guess I thought that maybe physical contact might help?"
"huh, interestin'..." he murmured thoughtfully. "so you've never heard of intent?"
You frowned slightly. The way he'd specifically put emphasis on that word made you think it meant something different than what you'd initially thought. "I can't say I have," you said with a shrug.
He started to respond when a sudden gust of wind blew through the small clearing and caused you to shudder as the cold air went right through your soaked clothing. You clutched your coat closer and stamped your feet in an effort to warm up.
Changing the subject, he made a quiet tisk sound and commented, "you'll catch your death if ya stay out here much longer, human."
A little voice in the back of your head wanted to retort that you wouldn't be this cold if it weren't for him, but that would be cruel, so you didn't. Instead, you gave a little laugh and tried to smile, but it wasn't exactly easy with how badly your teeth were chattering.
"Um, my car's not that far from here and before I left the house this morning I made a thermos of hot coffee... If you'd like some...?"
He laughed, much more genuinely this time by the way, and shook his skull. "crazy human... do ya have no self-preservation instincts or somethin' ?" he asked in a tone that practically screamed "ya can't be serious?".
You nodded, "Compared to some men I've met, you've been downright pleasant to make conversation with." Turning to head back to the trail, you added, "It's probably a good thing you took me by surprise though, because I definitely would've tried to fight you if I'd seen you coming."
"you'd definitely be dead then," he muttered bitterly.
You chose not to continue this morbid train of thought and walked on in silence. It was a bit surprising that he'd decided to actually take you up on your offer, considering he'd rejected every other one, but you didn't mind in the slightest.
After a few minutes of travel, you asked, "Do you have a name?"
He made a low humming sound before answering. "axe..." He grinned when you shot him a confused look and nodded his skull towards the weapon he had slung over his shoulder.
"I see... It's kind of...fitting? If I can say that?"
"mhm. what about you?"
"Oh! How rude of me... It's..." you gave him your name, "Sorry, I guess I completely forgot my manners in the heat of the moment..." You rubbed the back of your neck awkwardly.
Axe repeated your name out loud a few times like he was trying to commit it to memory. You paid him no mind as you knew all too well how annoying it was to forget someone's name. You didn't think you'd ever forget his though, not with how crazy today had been.
You caught him typing something into his phone out of the corner of your eye before he slipped it back into the pocket of his shorts again. He really hadn't needed to borrow your phone afterall it seemed.
"i am sorry for scarin' ya that badly...and for nearly killin' ya too," Axe muttered. He looked rather sheepish all of the sudden, like his previous apology wasn't nearly good enough now that you'd talked a little.
You waved him off and smiled warmly. "Hey, it's fine now. I'm not mad at you for something you couldn't help."
"i'm surprised you're not askin' more questions about me or why that happened in the first place..."
"Do you want to tell me?"
He shook his skull silently and glanced away.
"That's fine then... If you're gonna be okay now, then that's all I care about."
You hummed happily as your little car came into view at the side of the road where you'd parked it earlier. That coffee sounded absolutely divine right about now and you were so glad you'd decided to make it. Thank your lucky stars you'd thought ahead today.
Your companion had grown rather silent all of the sudden and when you glanced at him, you saw his bonebrows seemed to be knit together in deep thought. While you definitely were curious about him and where he came from, you didn't want to pry into something that wasn't your business.
Besides, the less you knew, the better...

Wait omg your Anthony x reader was pure gold. I live for getting caught scenes. But the part with Hawk 🤣
Could you write something with Hawk x Chubby reader where they are dating and he catches Anthony checking out her out?
Tumblr media
(Unedited) ( Possibly part 2? Idk if it fits a part 2 or not)
The pool was packed for it not being summer yet. The whole dojo finally decided to come together once again and go to the pool. No karate war going on meant actually getting to have fun at the pool for once. Everyone loved the idea of going to the pool on the weekend to hang out and have some good old fun on a hot cali day.
Hawk picked up his girlfriend in his car and they headed towards the pool.
Reader couldn’t help but giggle as she pulled her bag into her lap in the passenger side seat. Her face was beaming with a smile on her lips. Hawk raised a brow as he watched the road infront of them.
“I am so excited! I bought a new bathing suit just for today. When I found out we got invited to go to the pool I couldn’t help but get a brand new one. I haven’t bought a new one since last summer.”
Hawk hummed at her words, he was happy to see her so excited about a simple outing to the pool.
“ Should I ask about this new bathing suit or should I just wait and be surprised?”
“Well I would hope your surprised about it! But I think you have already seen it. It was something I tried on at the mall a couple weeks back, when you, me and Miguel where hanging out? We meet him in the food court for lunch.”
Honestly, Hawk didn’t remember that trip to much. He mostly just remembered meeting Miguel for lunch. He bought them all ice cream at the small place in the food court.
Also the fact that right after him and Reader left, they fucked in the back of the car in the mall parking lot. It was super clear in his head because he had actually ripped her panties and he promised to buy her a new set the next time they went to the mall again. It was a fun time.
“I’m just going to wait and see, I get to see you all wet this time.”
Reader huffed and punched him in the shoulder making him grin and scoff.
When they finally made it to the pool Hawk parked his car and the two teens got out. He hugged Reader close as they walked up to the entrance where they met Miguel,Sam,Moon and Demetri who where hanging around out front. All of the still had their normal clothes on. Once Moon and Sam got a look at the two they practically ripped Reader away from Hawk. Reader waved to her boyfriend before she was pulled in by the two girls and dragged to the changing rooms and bathroom’s. Sam spoke up first talking about how excited she was to finally get to go swimming again. Moon talked about how her mom gifted her a new bathing suit, a skimpy bikini set that matched her eyes. At least that’s what her mom said.
Going into one of the stalls Reader changed into her new bikini set.
Tumblr media
Reader slowly opened her stall door and came out. Sam and Moon where already done getting into their swim suits and stood outside her stall. They both gasped at her, for a minute Reader wanted to hide thinking maybe her bikini didn’t actually look as cute as she though. Her hand and arms tried to cover her self before the other two girls where borderline jumpy on her. Her eyes widened as Moon squealed.
“Omg your outfit is so cute! Did you get it at the mall??? I want to get one too.”
“Reader you look so cute in that bikini. It suites you perfectly.”
Readers cheeks felt hot as she uncovered her self again. She nodded and they talked for a moment about her bikini.
The three girls headed back out and into the main part of the pool area. They quickly spotted some of the boys. Robby and Demetri where already in the water with Tory throwing a ball around and swimming. Miguel and Hawk sat on the sidelines, most likely trying to protect their seats. The park was pretty busy now. Hawk pulled his shades down as the girls came into the picture. His eyes scanning over Reader as she moved though the small crowed of people and into his view. He watched as her thighs and belly jiggled with every step and the way her breasts moved up and down. The fact that her tits where still in the top was amazing to him.
She looked fucking hot.
As she got closer she smiled and waved at the two boys. Miguel gave a small wave as he pointed to a few empty seats beside them. All three girls finally got over to the boys and sat down. Reader made a beeline to the seat next to Hawk, he smirked as she sat down, his eyes following the swell of her ass as she sat down next to him. She dropped her bag between the two chairs and sighed. Hawk leaned over and gave her a small kiss and she gladly accepted. The two pulled apart and Hawk put his sunglasses back up.
Reader looked around for a minute before reaching for her bag and unzipping it. Her hands searched around for a good minute or two before she realized what she forgot. She felt bad for asking.
“Babe can you go check your car for me? I think I left my sunscreen in the car. I don’t want any of us burning under this sun. Especially you, one sun burn and your out of commission hun.” Hawk fake grunted and mumbled about going to grab it from the car for her. She gave a small “thank you Hawk~” as he left in search of the forgotten sunscreen. With him gone she turned over and looked to her friends to talk to while he was gone.
A thick mop of black hair moved though the crowed and caught her eye.
“Is it bad that I forgot Anthony was coming? Poor guy I completely forgot about him.”
“I’m his sister and sometimes I forget him too, don’t feel to bad.”
The younger boy stud by the pool for a few minutes as they talked. Reader looked over at him a few times to make sure he was ok, he seemed to be staring at something over by them. She shrugged it off and kept talking to her friends. She didn’t think about it again until she looked over and in a split second saw Anthony being shoved into the pool by some random kid. Reader couldn’t help but get up and run over to pool to see if he was alright. He hit the water hard and splashed right into the deep end. Reader quickly grabbed the boy from the water and help him haul himself up and out of the water. He coughed and spit up a bit of water as he gasped for air.
“Oh my god Anthony are you ok?! Did you hit your head when you fell in? Come on let’s get you dried off.”
She pulled the teen to his feet and lead him over to where she was sitting originally. Sam looked over and rolled her eyes before going back to sunbathing.
Anthony sat down on the pool chair, completely drenched in water. He basically looked like a wet cat. His eyes where a bit glazed over and his breath a little messed up from all the water he just inhaled. But his eyes where still working.
That’s how he got a eye full of Readers ass that was basically out for show as she searched around in her bag for a extra towel. He couldn’t stop himself from watching as she jiggled with each movement. Bent over right in front of him. He gulped as she turned around with a fresh clean towel in her hands.
“Good thing I pack extra. Let’s get you dry. Let’s hope you didn’t get to much water in your ears, nasty ear infection that would be.” She smiled as she throw the dry towel on his head and started drying his hair and face.
Then his eyes where planted on her huge tits that where right in his face. Every time she shook his head she was jiggling them right into his face. If he moved even a inch he would be right in between them. His face planted right into her pillowy cleavage. She could basically smother him. His eyes where wide as he watched them move.
That was until she stopped and big hands slammed down on his shoulder making him jump a little in the chair.
Man hands.
“Don’t worry Princess I got him. I’ll help him dry off and keep a eye on him. Don’t want him walking around with a concussion or anything. Here’s that sunscreen, found it on the floor bored. Maybe you should go see if Sam needs some while I take care of Anthony here.” He slapped his hands down hard on Anthony’s shoulders twice. Reader smiled and nodded before walking over to Sam and offering her some of the sunscreen.
“I’m feeling nice today kid, stop looking at my girlfriends tits and ass or I’ll break your scrawny little knees worse then I broke Demetri’s arm. Clearly we have some things in common and I might just be willing to give you some tips on how to score.”
Anthony looked up at Hawk and nodded.
“ I uhh could do that. What’s your advice?”

Regrets and mistakes are memories made- Jotaro x Reader
CW: Canon typical violence, swearing (like, a lot.), blood, deep wounds, hurt, angst, mentions of PTSD, mentions of depression and a panic attack is described in great detail, detailed description of character death, heartbreak. Also, spoiler warning for parts 3-6!
Wc: ~9.5k
A/N: Hello everybody! After I made a poll on here a lil while ago, people voted for a Jotaro fic and of course, your wish is my command.
First off, I want to apologize for any grammar mistakes; english isn't my first language. Also, this is my first fic, so any criticism is appreciated <3
Second of all, the story is made with a fem! Reader in mind, so the pronouns she/her are used. Also, the Reader is a Stand user! The name of the Stand is based on the Song "Head In The Clouds" by Hayd. Please give the Song a listen when you're done reading! :) Link for the song here: https://youtu.be/_aYQZoC3YCY?si=I8hSXMTYTzBmwzXC
Lastly, I am no mental health professional. Every description of depression and panic attacks stems from my own experiences as well as research I did. So, if you can't identify with Readers symptoms, I apologize. I also apologize if Jotaro is OOC. I still hope you have fun reading this story!
Enjoy~!
Love sucks. Like, it really, really fucking sucks.
Okay, no, it doesn't. But it kind of does too. It doesn't suck, when you see how you bring a smile to your partner's face with just your presence. It doesn't suck when you kiss the person you love or feel their touch or their warmth, and your heart just bursts with happiness. It doesn't suck, when your partner has a smile reserved for you and only you. When you whisper sweet nothings into each other's ear, fall asleep tangled in an intimate embrace, and then wake up to your beloved's face in the morning.

No, love really doesn't suck when that is the case. In fact, it can be considered to be truly beautiful.

It is beautiful when it is reciprocated. And that is where it really does start to fucking suck.

You met Jotaro Kujo in your very first year of high school. Jotaro was your classmate back then, and he always sat silently by the window. There was always that bizarre aura to Jotaro, when you look back. He has always had his typical, grumpy demeanor that practically screamed, "Leave me the fuck alone." His appearance spoke for itself. Although he was extremely handsome, having high cheekbones, a nearly perfect nose, the most beautiful blue eyes that have ever graced the earth's presence, as well as gorgeous, black curls; the most common expression on his face was a scowl. Jotaro also had more of a delinquent type of style when it came to how he wore his hair and uniform, and if that wasn't enough, he also told each and every single person who approached him to fuck off. So, he wasn't just a loner; he was kind of a freak, at least in your eyes. Which is precisely why you never bothered to interact with him, even when you became classmates and your assigned desk was next to his.

However, the two of you became friends in the long run. Though, to be frank, the way it happened really was bizarre.

It started at the beginning of your second year in high school. Unlike Jotaro, you weren't a loner by any means. On the contrary, although you weren't the most popular girl in school, you were social enough to have a close circle of friends that you hung out with regularly, and you didn't need more than that.

While the two of you never really spoke to one another, Jotaro was relieved that you were in the seat next to his. You were one of the only girls in the school who wasn't screeching in his ear whenever he walked by. Hell, you didn't even interact with him unless you were forced to by your teacher because of a dumb group assignment.

A group project was actually the reason why he started taking notice of you.

You two were working on a project with two other classmates. Jotaro was mostly silent, only saying something if absolutely necessary, which wasn't out of the norm for him. He looked out of the window with a bored expression, waiting for the next time he could smoke a much-needed cigarette. At the same time, you were in a heated discussion with a classmate about some stupid argument that needed to be brought up in a debate as part of the project. That classmate had completely disagreed with anything you said, not because he had good arguments, but because that fucker wanted to get on your nerves, and you knew it. You and that asshole were at it for about five minutes, and you were getting increasingly angry when, all of a sudden, the guy just magically agreed with your opinion. More or less. The guy claimed that that exact thought—your argument—just came into his head randomly. Jotaro noticed there was something weird about you at that moment. There was a shift of energy in the air when the guy just suddenly agreed with you, and it rubbed him in the wrong way.

Jotaro kept an eye on you after that. He noticed it happening like this a handful of times, where someone wouldn't agree with you for a while, then there would be a sort of shift, and all of a sudden, they'd agree with you. It bothered him real bad now.

Jotaro got his "evil spirit" soon after and was arrested. After his grandpa came to Japan and explained the concept of Stands to him, as well as the looming threat over their heads, a 100-year-old vampire named DIO, Jotaro suspected that you might have a Stand as well. After all, according to his grandpa, Stand users attract other Stand users.

Jotaro was right with his assumption.

You discovered you had a Stand during Jotaro's battle with Noriaki Kakyoin. You were in the nurse's office because you wanted to ask for some painkillers when the nurse, possessed by what you would later find out to be Kakyoin's Stand, attacked Jotaro and two other students. Something within you awoke in that moment, and a humanoid gray ghost came up behind the nurse, whispering in her ear that she would no longer attack the students. Afterwards, Kakyoin's Stand, Hierophant Green, came out of the nurse's body as if in a trance, and Jotaro's own Stand beat Kakyoin to a pulp.

Per his request, you followed Jotaro home that day as he carried Kakyoin, whom you discovered to be controlled by DIO. there. From there on, you learned about Stands from Jotaro's grandfather, Mr. Joseph Joestar, as well as his friend Muhammad Avdol, both of whom were Stand users.

On that day, you also named your Stand.

"So, from what it seems, your Stand has the ability to manipulate someone's thoughts and actions by whispering your command into their ear. This creates a haze that manipulates the opponent's head in such a manner that they think your command was their own thought. Therefore, making them take that action with no question asked. That is quite a useful ability to have." Avdol said while grabbing his chin in thought and looking at you.

"I guess now it makes sense why people magically agree with me when I fight with them, huh?" You scratched the back of your head, letting out an awkward and nervous laugh. All of this was just.. bizarre. Stands, a 100-year-old vampire in Egypt? Yeah. Not something that is usually happening in day-to-day life.

"So, got a name in mind? You can't just call it a ghost." Mr. Joestar, who insisted you call him Joseph, said with a grin.

You looked at the floor for a moment, pondering. Then you had one in mind.

"Hmm.. "Head in the Clouds" sounds pretty fitting, doesn't it?." You replied to the older man with a smile.

The true adventure began when Jotaro's angel of a mother, Holy, became ill from her Stand's power. Her soul was too kind, too gentle to be able to keep up with it. Avdol examined Holy and predicted that she would only have about 50 days until her body succumbed to her Stand's power and she would die. Mr. Joestar, who was beyond devastated and angry, called some doctors from the renowned Speedwagon Foundation (apparently this guy has connections everywhere in the fucking world) over to look after Holy.

Avdol, Joseph, Jotaro, and Noriaki, who was now freed from DIO's curse, planned to take the 50-day trip to Egypt in order to save Holy and defeat DIO. You were asked to join the others. And although hesitant at first, you agreed to tag along.

Your parents were contacted by the Speedwagon Foundation a few hours later, and they told them you got a spot in their international exchange program for Japanese students (you allegedly applied months ago). You had a bit of explaining to do that night, but they had no reason to think you were lying, so they let you go.

You got close to everyone on the trip. You even had a new guy join the group; a large, French man with silver hair called Jean Pierre Polnareff. He was quite a silly man, sometimes even a bit of a perv, but he was serious when he needed to be. The group sort of became a family to you at some point. Mr. Joestar, who insisted you call him Joseph, was acting like a father to Jotaro, Noriaki and you. Even when he was annoying at times, he kept his heart in the right place and made sure everyone was fed and doing as well as possible. You saw where Holy got her kind heart from. Avdol, although he was gone for some time, recovering from his shot wound given to him by a Stand user, was a very interesting and charming man. You and the others often listened to him talk about his travels all over the world and all the different people he met before.

Noriaki, Jotaro and you were the closest to one another, though. You guys formed a close bond that grew with each passing day. While you were indifferent towards Jotaro in the beginning, mainly because you didn't care to bother a person who very obviously wasn't keen on getting attention, you had learned to read him over the course of the trip. His body language and the way his eyes looked in different situations made it fairly easy for you to know what mood Jotaro was in. Take it from growing up in a home where you'd have to guess what your parent's mood was based on their footsteps alone, but your analyzing of his behavior made it easy to figure him out. Jotaro had a cold demeanor, yes, but he was also undeniably loyal, and he was worried deeply about his mother and friends. He protected those close to him with everything he could, and, not to mention, he did have a kickass sense of humor sometimes. You noticed little things about Jotaro too. You took note of how his face started sweating when he got stressed, his right nostril twitching slightly as well, or how he pulled his hat over his eyes when he got flustered or embarrassed, covering that up with his signature mutter of "good grief". You also started looking up to Jotaro the more you witnessed him fight, with Star Platinum's pure strength being something truly out of this world.

And while you weren't the most effective when it came to pure strength and close-hand combat, your Stand was strong enough to defend you most times, and your mind-manipulation saved the team's asses plenty as well. Your strategic and quick-thinking skills were impressive, and similar to Noriaki, you were able to come up with plans at the speed of light to figure out when an enemy Stand user was scheming something. This helped you bond with Noriaki, too. Both of you quickly became the team's strategists.

You and the guys basically bonded over beating ass. That's a given, though, considering the mission you and the gang were on.

You remember that one night, after you guys defeated the Sun. Jotaro, Noriaki, and you were sitting around a fire while Joseph and Polnareff were asleep. Avdol was still out of commission because of the shot wound, and Iggy, the dog Stand user that would later join you, wasn't there yet either. Or was he? (You aren't sure anymore.).

The three of you were talking. Well, kinda, it was mostly you and Noriaki talking about an ongoing manga that came out after a video game series, while Jotaro sat and listened to you, occasionally throwing in a comment or two. It was easy talking to the guys, maybe because all of you were the same age. That night, the three of you fell asleep by the fire with a light mood in the air. Nowadays, you look back on small moments like these fondly, a warmth embracing your heart.

But it hasn't always been that way.

"Death is inevitable. We all die one day."

Avdol muttered these words a few nights before he would die. The group of you were in a hotel room, most likely Joseph's. Iggy was asleep on the bed, Jotaro was smoking a cigarette with Polnareff on the balcony, and Noriaki was still in the hospital. You, Avdol, and Joseph sat at the table and drank coffee. You started the conversation. The injuries everyone, including you, got during the trip were heavy on your mind.

"Do you guys ever worry about dying here? Like, at all?" You broke the comfortable silence that was in the air. Your anxiety gnawed at your heart.

"Where did that question come from?" Joseph looked at you and laughed; today you know that it was a strained laugh, uncomfortable, even. Avdol only looked at you with a raised brow.

Joseph laughing made your 17-year-old self feel insecure about your feelings. You averted your gaze to your hands and started fiddling with them. "I.. I don't know. To be honest, I've just been thinking about death a lot these past few days, I guess. Day 50 is about three days away as well.." you hesitated. "I'm just overthinking. Forget I said anything." There was a long stretch of silence that followed until Avdol spoke up.

"Death is inevitable. Each one of us is going to die one day." Avdol placed a hand on your shoulder and gave it a light squeeze before continuing. "I'm not scared of dying, no. If I live my life to the fullest, I will never have regrets, and if I have no regrets, I can die without worries. It's the only way to fight the fear of death, and let me give you this piece of advice; it's how you live a happier life."

Joseph cleared his throat. The topic made him uncomfortable; you know that today. "You know, you're still young." He started. "I don't think you could die without regrets, even if you tried. You're still in high school; you have the whole world to see. I don't plan on letting you kids die, and neither am I letting Holy die. It's not your time yet."

He was right. It wasn't your time. Neither was it Noriaki's, Avdol's, or Iggy's. But unlike the aforementioned, you were lucky enough to survive the battle against DIO.

To be frank, you barely made it. DIO targeted you after he killed Noriaki. And just before finishing you off completely, Joseph attacked him. If it weren't for him, you'd have been mush on the sidewalk.

You were hospitalized for about a month and a half after the battle. Your parents were told you were in a car accident with your "research group". In reality, DIO dropped a car onto your body. Your stand protected you well enough from dying, but you still had grave injuries. Part of your lower spine and hip got crushed. They performed surgery, added some metal plates and some other high-tech stuff to your bones so you would be able to walk again, and you also had to get a kidney transplant. There was some more stuff to it, but you never bothered to remember what they did in detail. The memory stung too much.

None of your physical pain could even compare to what you felt emotionally, anyway.

Survivor's guilt honestly ate you up alive. It gnawed on your heartstrings and burned as if someone poured a bottle of chili sauce on your heart and lungs. You felt even more horrible when you couldn't attend Noriaki's funeral. Joseph was the only one to go. Jotaro felt too guilty to be there.

Speaking of, Jotaro frequently visited you in the hospital.

You would've thought that Jotaro wanted to forget all about the trip and bury it—and you—in the past. But no, he often came by. He paid more attention in class, you noticed, since he always brought you notes. He also helped you study.

You avoided the topic of the trip like the plague at first. Until you couldn't.

When you got out of the hospital, Jotaro and you spoke much more at school since you joined him on the roof during his smoke breaks (you picked up the habit as well, not your proudest moment). So, it was weird to not see you at school that day.

Jotaro has felt uneasy a few times in his life. That day was one of them. He knew that your parents weren't going to be home for another two weeks; you told him that they were on a month-long vacation overseas, which in turn meant that you'd been alone for a while. He would never have admitted it out loud back then, but he was worried about you, especially because, as he came to find out, you didn't call in sick that day either.

He got even more worried when you didn't open the door. He rang the bell at least six times and knocked for three solid minutes until he got sick of it. He used Star Platinum to open your door from the inside and let himself in. He was panicking, picturing a bloody mess in your room. He thought, maybe that one pawn of DIO's, that DIO wrote about in his diary, hunted you down to finish you off and get revenge. He pictured blood, a corpse—the most grotesque image you could think of—and his heart pumped harder with every step he took towards your room.

He busted your door down when he walked in. It might not have been graceful, but fuck it. He blamed the adrenaline later on.

The first thing Jotaro saw was shattered glass on the floor. It looked like it was a mirror once. The next things were your school supplies that were scattered everywhere, as well as dirt and a destroyed flower pot. Your wardrobe apparently joined the mess too. Its broken, wooden remains adorning the ground, and a lot of your clothes were at the center of it. If it hadn't been for your cowering form in the very back corner of the room, Jotaro would have thought you'd been robbed.

That night, you remember, they appeared in your dream. They, as in, your friends who didn't survive the trip. You were all meeting up in Jotaro's garden, and everyone was a little older. It was fun; it felt warm; it felt like home. There was laughter coming from Joseph and Avdol; they were laughing at Iggy and Polnareff, who were fighting as usual. Noriaki was helping Holy pour tea into everyone's cup, and you and Jotaro were on the side, smoking a cigarette.

That's how you knew it was a dream; you were smoking. You only started after the Egypt trip, much to your doctor's disappointment.

It was a beautiful dream. And it sucked. It sucked because it wasn't reality. It sucked because Iggy, Avdol, and Noriaki were dead, and they were never coming back.

When you woke up that day, you almost couldn't get out of bed. Your bed was comfortable; it was safe. Your room was safe. Until it didn't feel safe anymore.

The dream didn't trigger the breakdown. It was stupid (a comment your therapist would scold you for), actually. It was a dog barking in your neighbor's garden. This past week, you noticed that your neighbors got a new puppy. Also, guess what? Of course, the fucking puppy had to be black and white. During that time, you repressed all memories of the group, apart from when they appeared in your dream. However, for some fucking dumbass reason, that dog just brought everything back.

Your chest tightened in that moment. You knew the feeling of having to cry, and although you didn't want to, the tears just came. Usually, that wouldn't be a problem. You could wipe the tears, take a breath, and go about your day. That day, you couldn't.

Everything made you angry. You were extremely frustrated, and when you looked into the mirror, you didn't see yourself; all you saw was failure. You saw yourself as an utter, embarrassing failure. A mess that couldn't protect your friends for the life of you. The sight pissed you off. You grabbed the mirror and smashed it on the ground; the glass was in pieces on your floor. When you turned around, you saw your desk, your homework from the day prior still being there. Fuck it, fuck school, fuck every single thing. You didn't deserve it. Why did you get to do your homework when Noriaki, who should have been able to do it, was now a rotting corpse inside of an ugly casket with a huge ass hole in his chest? Fuck no. You threw it all on the ground, enraged that you would even have the nerve to go about your life normally. You throwing your homework on the ground also caused your flower pot to smash into pieces, joining the mess. While you were at it, you thought, there was a polaroid of you and three of your friends from school that was taken during the last summer festival in your town. It was hung up on your closet door. You were smiling in the picture, holding up a peace sign with one hand and a small fan with the other. Just who the fuck did you think you were to believe you deserved any sort of fun? You threw your closet onto the ground as well, the wood cracking as it hit the floor, coating your clothes with wooden splinters.

At the same time, you couldn't stop crying. The tears wouldn't stop, no matter what you did. Not only that, your usually silent hiccups turned into full-blown sobs, and your sobs started turning into screams. Your chest hurt, and it became difficult to breathe. You couldn't take a deep breath anymore; and to be honest, you weren't even sure if you were able to take a regular breath. Whenever you tried, a heartbroken sob would interrupt your attempt. Your inability to breathe made your heart pump faster in your chest, and it hurt. Everything hurt: your throat, your chest, your head, your hands. You were trembling but sweating, as if you ran a marathon; simultaneously, you felt cold as if you sat naked in fucking snow. You didn't know that it was a panic attack back then, you found that out when you went to therapy a few months later. At that moment, however, you felt as though you were dying.

"You're alive." Jotaro muttered when he saw you crouched in the corner that was opposite to your bed.

"I wish I wasn't." You replied with a hoarse voice.

"I know." was his reply as he sat down next to you on the ground. Jotaro usually never sat down on the ground.

You sat in silence until nighttime that day. He never left your side. And while he didn't hug you or tell you that everything would be okay, you felt safe.

You guys started talking about Egypt after that incident. Jotaro basically dragged you out of your broken-down room and to his place. Holy didn't ask questions for once when she saw you, which Jotaro appreciated.

That night, you opened up about how you felt about everything. Looking back, you know that it must have been really fucking hard for Jotaro to listen. Even though he acted like it didn't affect him that much, nowadays, you know how Jotaro felt, and still feels, about Egypt.

Weirdly enough, the trauma made you two bond even more than the entire Egypt trip. Your therapist says that is because the two of you share a traumatic experience that not many people can relate to.

Oh, yeah, your therapist. Jotaro told Joseph about your panic attack, who, in turn, made you go to the best therapist he could find in Japan. Your first therapist retired about ten years ago; now you have another one. Joseph, funnily enough, still pays for it, even though you're more than capable of footing the bill yourself. That senile old man forgets every single thing on this planet but somehow never forgets to pay that bill every month.

Your therapist got the same story your parents did: a car accident with your research group. Three of your squad members died; you got critically injured; yada yada. They helped you, though. Ever since you started, you have learned to deal with your emotions better. You also haven't destroyed your room since going.
Back to the past and how you and Jotaro bonded, though. Not only did you smoke cigarettes together during your lunch breaks at school, you met up a lot in private. You hung out and read manga together in silence. Often times you also played video games, a habit you two picked up after Noriaki died. Noriaki loved video games.

You learned to appreciate Jotaro a lot. You often stayed over at his place and learned about some of the things he was passionate about. Contrary to popular belief at school, Jotaro was extremely intelligent and started taking his studies seriously after Egypt. Often times, he was even top of the class when it came to his exams. He was also super into marine life, something you noticed when you visited his room for the first time. When you asked him to tell you about it, he didn't shut up for about two hours. You've never heard so many words come out of Jotaro's mouth, like, ever.

And while you were oblivious to it at first, he slowly started to occupy your thoughts.

It came gradually, your crush on Jotaro. At first, it was just you missing him on days you weren't hanging out together. Then, your heartbeat picked up when you spoke to him or saw him. You started to feel giddy when you met up and you started dreaming of him.

It was super fucking embarrassing.

But it also felt super fucking good to love Jotaro. You weren't going to say shit, though. Ever.

Your dynamic never changed. You and Jotaro were practically glued at the hip at some point. It was obvious that you were going to follow Jotaro to the USA for college when he proposed that he wanted to study marine biology in Florida.

When you and him went, you got an apartment from Joseph as a gift. The two of you were supposed to be roommates all throughout college. And, honestly, you hoped to be roommates for the rest of your life.

It was fun being roommates. It really was. Freshly eighteen and graduated, the two of you entered your apartment and lived to the fullest. You cooked together, watched movies, played video games, and, of course, you were there for each other when it was needed.

Even though the two of you were in therapy, night terrors were still frequent enough at that time. It was always the same pattern. One of you would wake up from the nightmare, wake the other up to talk and then you would go into the living room and talk about it, or just cry.

One of these nights was also the first time Jotaro hugged you.

Jotaro was the one with a night terror that time. The two of you were sat on the couch in the living room as he talked to you about Noriaki appearing in his dreams. You listened, as you usually did, and that was all he needed. He knew you understood, and he knew you were there. This exact stability gave both of you comfort. He wrapped his arms around you tightly and just held you. He didn't say anything, and you didn't think he needed to.

Although, looking back, you definitely interpreted that hug wrong. While it made your heart flutter, to Jotaro, it was nothing more than showing appreciation.

Jotaro introduced you to his girlfriend about three years after the two of you moved to the US. She was a lovely girl, blonde, perfect figure, beautiful face and a disgustingly sweet personality. All in all; she was the perfect package, and she looked fucking perfect next to your perfect, perfect Jotaro. Shit.

You wish you could say you hated her guts, but you couldn't.

You couldn't hate her, because Jotaro loved her. He loved her more than words could describe, and you knew it. You knew from his eyes, from his body language and from the way he talked about her.

Oh, and if all of that wasn't enough, he got her pregnant about a year after they got together, and the two of them got married in the same year (her parents insisted—they were very religious). If you look at their wedding pictures, you could see the bump under her dress. If you look at the wedding pictures again, you'll see yourself standing next to Jotaro with a big smile on your face. You're a great actress, you've got to give yourself that credit.

You moved out of the apartment about a month before Jotaro's daughter was born. They needed the space, and you didn't want to trouble the newlyweds with moving, so you sucked it up and left the apartment you called home for three years. Joseph was generous, as you'd come to notice. He had a single-bedroom apartment that he gifted you, and he claimed that it wouldn't feel right to him if you had to rent, especially as a college student. You took it, obviously.

Jolyne was a beautiful little girl. Jotaro made you her godmother; no questions asked. After he got married and had a kid, you'd think the two of you would lose touch, but no. Jotaro made sure to call you at least once a day and insisted on weekly meetups. You don't know if that was because he got so used to you that he couldn't live without your presence or because he knew that solitude made you spiral mentally, but you appreciated his efforts nonetheless. It felt good to be around Jotaro, even if it hurt to see him live a life you've been fantasizing of having with him.

Most importantly, however, you were a rock in Jotaro's life that he couldn't live without, and that feeling was mutual. Your therapist would call it an unhealthy attachment, but neither of you cared. You needed each other close.

"You're stressed." Your eyes locked with Jotaro's just a moment prior. The blue hue in them was as bright as ever, but his expression, the small furrow of his brow, and the slight twitch of his left nostril gave him away.

"Fucking figured that out from just a look? Good grief." He sighed as he averted his gaze. Jotaro couldn't pull his hat down to hide his embarrassment, as he would usually do. Ever since he got together with his wife, she asked him to take it off when they were home.

"I've lived with you for years, Jotaro. I can even figure out when you're about to shit your pants because you had a fucking McDonald's milkshake. Spit it out; what's bothering you?"

"She has the birthmark. I.. Fuck, I can't even sleep anymore." Jotaro and you were sitting on his balcony while you were taking a smoke. He stopped that habit before Jolyne was born, but picked it back up a few months later. He rubbed his temple as he closed his eyes.

"You're scared that this pawn of DIO's, that he wrote about in his diary, is gonna hunt her down one day, huh?" You replied, your eyes still locked on his form.

"I am. Yeah. Fucking terrified, actually. I never would've thought I'd become a softie like this."

"That's the parental instinct, Jotaro. It's love. You understand your mom a little better now, huh?"

"I do. I was a fucking bitch to her back then."

"You still are a bitch, you know?" You joked, putting out your now-finished cigarette.

"Shut the fuck up." He shook his head, though his lips were curled in a very small smile. He did this more often, ever since Jolyne was born.

"You know damn well you don't want me to shut up."

"You're right. I don't."

It was a Saturday night in 1999 when Jotaro rang you out of your sleep to tell you to join him on a trip back to Japan. He had to pay his uncle a visit. Yeah, uncle. Apparently, Joseph cheated on Suzie Q with a college student back in the early eighties. The Kujo/Joestar family was sort of a mess for a while afterwards.

The person you felt the most sorry for was Josuke, the kid. He was pulled into all of this for no reason.

Jotaro asked you to join him because he "needed your assistance" to track some enemy stand users who used an arrow that turned other people into stand users. You knew that he didn't need your help, but he wanted to get you out of your house. You remember that you felt like shit at that time, because your long-term boyfriend broke up with you. His reasoning was that he didn't feel like he was the love of your life and he wasn't wrong about that. You loved him, you really did, but he wasn't Jotaro. The love of your life would forever be Jotaro, no matter how many people you tried to date as a desperate attempt to dull the ache that your heart was consumed by every day. And, of course, you accepted Jotaro's offer to go together. You always would.

Morioh was an experience, to say the least.

Not only were there more Stand users than you'd ever seen in your life, it was also a strangely wholesome journey.
Josuke was a great kid, and so were his friends. The bond between everyone really warmed your heart, and you were happy that you got to be part of it. Although you had to admit that you certainly weren't prepared to find and fight an actual serial killer, who was, of course, a Stand user as well. Looking back at it, though, the kids were very reliable, Josuke almost defeated that Kira guy all by himself after all.

Josuke, Okoyasu, and Koichi also caused some embarrassing tension between you and Jotaro at some point.

"Ya know, it's actually super cute." Josuke grinned at you.

"What is?" You paused and set down your coffee cup. It was your last few days in Morioh, and you were at a café the kids frequented. Jotaro and you sat next to each other while Koichi, Okoyasu, and Josuke sat across from you. Joseph was also there with Shizuka, the baby he and Josuke found.

"The two of you. Why didn't y'all tell us you were married?" Okoyasu commented with a pout.

Jotaro and you exchanged looks with a raised brow. Then it clicked: Jotaro was wearing his ring.

"It's because we're not married." Jotaro deadpanned.

"Oh." All three of them got quiet. "We just.. We thought you were because of, uhm.. the ring. Sorry." Josuke averted his gaze.

"Don't worry, Josuke. I mean, the big, mean guy doesn't really talk much about his family. Do you guys even know he has a kid?"

You successfully changed the subject by bringing up Jolyne back then. The guys drilled Jotaro to tell them everything, and although he was never a big talker, he did talk about Jolyne. He adored her; everyone knew so. Jotaro's eyes lit up just a tiny bit whenever he could tell people about her. The subject change allowed you to stay for a few minutes before you made up an excuse to leave the guys. When you left the café, you immediately went to the cemetery. Coincidentally, Morioh was Noriaki's hometown and also his resting place.

You had never mustered up the courage to visit Noriaki's grave before. It felt weird, looking at the stone with his name, but regardless, you sat down in front of the grave and spoke to him. To anyone else, you probably looked like a maniac. You couldn't tell anyone else about your feelings for Jotaro and you figured Noriaki would enjoy an update on your life after twelve years, even if it was sort of depressing as fuck.

It felt liberating, telling Noriaki everything. Even if he wasn't physically in front of you, you felt as though he was right there, listening to every single word you had to say, and by the end of your monologue, you were crying.

What you didn't expect was Joseph standing next to you after you had been crying like a bitch at Noriaki's grave for a while. You jolted when he said your name.

"You know, the only reason you two didn't end up together was Jolyne, right? He loves you, but he's terrified of losing you." His older, raspy voice spoke softly.

"How would you even know that?" You questioned the old man, but you didn't make eye contact with him. Your eyes were glued to Noriaki's gravestone.

"Because I know what it looks like when you're someone's whole world. You're his world, and he can't lose that. Being your friend is easier than taking the risk of the two of you ever breaking up in the future."

Joseph's words made you cry again. They hurt even more than if Jotaro ever rejected you personally, because they meant that it was hopeless. No matter what, you could never, ever be with him.

Jotaro got divorced from his wife in 2002, three years after Morioh. By that time, you were a successful lawyer in a big firm, while Jotaro was a big researcher in marine biology; he even got a doctorate. You and him hadn't seen each other in a month at that point. Both of you were busy; Jotaro was often on trips for either the Speedwagon foundation, because of possible clues regarding that one friend of DIO's, or he was doing actual research regarding his job. You were busy because you thought that drowning yourself in work would help you move on from him. Spoiler alert; it didn't.

The way you found out about the divorce was when Jotaro showed up at your doorstep one day with a big suitcase in his hand.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" You'd gotten home half an hour prior, so you were still dressed in your work attire.

"We filed for divorce. Can I move in for a while?" He asked, though; he had already made his way into your house. He knew you wouldn't say no.

And you didn't. You guys lived together for about five years after he moved in. He even paid half of the bills, and you almost felt like you did when you guys were still living together in college.

Living together with Jotaro was easy; it was warm, and it also fucking sucked. You couldn't avoid your feelings when the two of you were together all the time. Everything felt too fucking domestic, and it made you want to cry.

Jotaro was the perfect roommate; he made you guys breakfast whenever he wasn't on a trip. He cleaned up the house when you were working late; he went grocery shopping. Fuck, he even knew when you would be on your period and made sure you were stacked up on pads and painkillers. Since you only had one big bathroom in your rather small house, he kept the door open while he shaved his stubble, so you could brush your teeth and do your makeup for the day. You guys were basically acting like a married couple, except for the legal status and the romantic aspect.

You noticed that Jotaro wasn't truly happy, though, and you knew why. After getting divorced, Jotaro essentially abandoned Jolyne. The reason why Jotaro and his wife got divorced was because his ex was tired of him rarely being home. She lost feelings for him along the way and gave him the divorce papers about two days before he showed up at your doorstep. The divorce didn't hit Jotaro as hard, he told you. What did hit him was that he didn't see Jolyne much. They maybe saw one another once every two or three months. You felt sorry for her; the divorce hurt that beautiful girl and your heart broke for her. You visited Jolyne and her mother a lot, even after the divorce, because you wanted her to still have a small constant in her life. You supported her whenever you could. However, Jotaro asked you to not bring her to the house. He started distancing himself from her, because he was growing anxious the older she got. DIO's friend and the diary never left Jotaro's mind and he simply didn't want Jolyne to be in danger. You understood, so, slowly, you started distancing yourself too.

It was 2007 when Jotaro asked you to move back to Japan with him. Jolyne, who was 14 at the time, got arrested for car theft. Jotaro pulled the harshest dick move he could and told his ex-wife that he wasn't going to help her bail Jolyne out and that he got a job offer as a professor at Tokyo University, which he accepted. His ex didn't even have time to cuss him out before he hung up the phone. Jotaro had ultimately abandoned his daughter, and even if he tried to play tough, he was devastated because he didn't want to leave her behind.

Why did you know that? Well, Jotaro still had night terrors. So, of course, your old tradition of going to the living room to talk it out had been picked up again. Jotaro hated himself for abandoning Jolyne, but he kept saying that he'd rather cut all ties with her to keep her safe than watch her die in front of him. You agreed with him. You wouldn't be able to live with yourself either, if you were in his shoes.

Of course you agreed to follow him back to Japan; you'd follow him anywhere he went anyway; he didn't even need to ask. Home is where he is. Even if it meant quitting your job at the law firm.

You were more at ease in Japan anyway. It's home. Plus, you got to visit Josuke and the others in Morioh more often, and, of course, Noriaki's grave. The kids grew up a lot in the years you haven't seen them. Josuke got his doctorate to become a surgeon, Koichi worked as a criminal psychologist, and Okoyasu got a job as a police officer. Oh, and Koichi and Yukako got engaged. Yeah, they certainly weren't kids anymore.

When you moved back, Jotaro and you decided to move in together again. It proved useful with the bills, and you got used to one another's presence anyway. You definitely weren't complaining about spending more time with him. After he accepted the position as a professor, he had more time on his hands compared to when he worked in research. He was still trying to hunt down DIO's little buddy, though. Still, it wasn't as bad as before, and he was home a lot more.

You got a new job in the American Consulate of Japan about six months after moving back with Jotaro. It was pretty boring, but the bills got paid. During work, you always looked forward to the evenings when you got home, because usually Jotaro would have a meal prepared for the two of you. You started eating dinner together every night after some time. It was always one of you waiting for the other one to get home, then you would heat up the food and eat together, either in front of the TV, binging a show you liked, or you sat at the dinner table, where you would talk about anything and everything. It was nice seeing Jotaro let lose even if it was just a tiny bit.

It was about four months after moving to Japan when you and Jotaro began implementing a "besties day". It honestly was just a synonym for a date night, if you think back to it. The two of you would either go for a walk, go on a small road trip, or have dinner at a nice restaurant, and, at some point down the line, the energy between the two of you shifted. He started to put his arm around your shoulder while you'd watch a movie, and you'd play with his hand sometimes. You fell asleep on the couch  so often that you guys just decided to sleep in the same bed and set up a TV in Jotaro's bedroom, your own bedroom basically turned into a room where you kept your clothes, nothing more.

It was on one of those evenings when you almost confessed your love to Jotaro.

You remember that the two of you were watching Zoolander on Jotaro's bed. He had his arm around your shoulder, and you were cuddled up to his side, his arm a heavy but welcome weight on your body. Jotaro was caressing your back as he stared at the TV, and his face got illuminated beautifully by the light of the TV. While Jotaro focused on the hilarious movie that played, your eyes were solely set on him. You took in how he had a few bags under his eyes, signaling that he was tired, and he wore his hair shorter compared to when you were teens, but the haircut complimented his face perfectly. From the side, his jawline and nose stood out to you. Jotaro had a light crook to his nose, but it looked good on him. Additionally, Jotaro was still a giant, muscular and tall (curse his amazing genetics and his gym habit.), just like when you were younger. Your heartbeat picked up in the moment, and you couldn't help but smile. Jotaro was so, so beautiful and you couldn't contain how happy all of this made you.

"You're so beautiful, Jotaro." You mumbled as you looked up to lock eyes with him.

"Where did that come from all of a sudden?" Jotaro stiffened for a moment, his eyes widening just slightly, before looking back at you.

"I dunno. I.. just felt the sudden need to let you know. I think you're so beautiful, Jotaro, I really do. Call me a sap or whatever, but I have never met a man as beautiful as you. Inside and out." You kept your eyes locked with his. Your words came from your heart and this would be the closest you could get to confessing your love to him without directly telling him.

Jotaro blushed just a hint, but you couldn't see it in the darkness. The movie might have lit up the room a tad, but it was not enough to make out the small pink hue on his cheek. He averted his eyes and pulled you closer to him while clearing his throat. There was a few minutes of silence before he spoke up.

"I think you're beautiful too."

You've never felt happier, but of course, it wasn't going to last.

It was January 21st of 2009 and you were just on your way out of a store. It would be Jotaro's birthday soon and you were out to shop for a present for him. You decided that a new watch would be appropriate, since he has been saying that he needed to get a watch soon. The watch you got was rather simple, a thick, silver wristband and the clock had blue details that accentuated the silver. Figuring silver would go perfectly with his skin tone, as it is more on the cool side, and the blue details would fit his eyes, you happily bought it for him and gripped the bag tightly when you left the store.

Since you were out late to avoid the massive rush-hour crowd, it was 10PM sharp when you reached the train station. You were alone and listening to music, when you noticed a figure close to where you were standing. It was a tall man you had never seen before, but you didn't really feel threatened by him. The man had long, white hair and sat on a bench, his eyes were entirely white, too and he held onto a cane. Thus, you figured he might be blind. You took out your phone, an iPhone 3G, a newly released phone that still shocked you. A touch screen was just super futuristic to you, considering you remember the old landline times. Geez, now you felt old. You sent out a text to Jotaro, telling him you're at the station and that you'd be home soon.

You waited for the train for roughly five minutes before you heard a loud bang, followed by a few more. A sharp pain spread throughout your body; first in your throat, then in your abdomen and in your legs, then you felt it in your shoulder. You heard the clunk of small metal pieces falling onto the floor.

You sink to the floor. You're falling into liquid, a lot of it pooling around you more and more by the second. You can't breathe, only gargling out because there is blood pooling in your mouth as well. It's cold, everything is cold. Your heart is pumping loudly in your chest and your head is getting foggier by the second. Did you really just get shot? But how? There was nothing there! You turn your head weakly, spitting blood out onto the pavement as you desperately try to inhale just a tiny bit of air. This can't happen. You can't die like this!

But you are.

You grab onto the bag you held in your hand tightly. The bag that carries Jotaro's birthday gift. Fuck, Jotaro? He's home, he's waiting for you. You have to call him, you have to get home to him! You can't leave him here, you can't go! You have to be there for him! Who will be there for him when you are gone? You have so much to say to him, you haven't even told him that you love him!

You look around. Your sight is getting increasingly foggy and your heart and lungs are burning. Everything is wet and hurts. Everything is hard. You're dying, you know you're dying. You're actively bleeding out in a random train station and you cannot do anything about it. You start to panic; your heart is picking up it's pace, and you choke on your own blood again.

All of a sudden, you hear Avdol's voice in the distance. Avdol? Why is Avdol speaking to you?

"Death is inevitable. Each one of us is going to die one day. I'm not scared of dying, no. If I live my life to the fullest, I will never have regrets, and if I have no regrets, I can die without worries. It's the only way to fight the fear of death- and let me give you this piece of advice; it's how you live a happier life."

You freeze. You have to call Jotaro, you have to call him right fucking now. Where the fuck is your god damn phone?! You spot it a few feet away from you, on the floor and try crawling your way towards it. As you do so, the blood keeps flooding out of your body, leaving a red, ugly trail on the white tiles of the station. Every move is excruciatingly painful, but you have to bite through it. Your only focus right now is calling Jotaro. You cannot leave this world before telling him.

You try crawling, but you can't go any further. Your limbs shake and you can't hold yourself upright anymore. Wait, that's it! Head in the Clouds! You haven't used it in years, but now, now you need it more than ever before. You called Head in the Clouds out to make it grab your phone; which it does, albeit slowly. Its grey, ghostly form mirrored your state. It was weak, but it still reached out to the small, square mobile device as you struggled to keep your eyes open.

It's just a few seconds, just a few more seconds, please! You keep repeating the word "please" in your head; you have to stay awake for just a few more seconds. You won't die here, you refuse to die here! There's so much more you want to do! You want to kiss Jotaro, you want to wake up next to him one more time! You want to hug him tight and go on another walk! You want to see his beautiful eyes reflected in the mirror as he shaves his face while you're brushing your teeth next to him! You can't go!

Avdol's words play in a loop in your head as you shakily try to unlock your tiny phone. Your bloody fingers smear the screen and your head keeps lulling to the side as you force yourself through these painful moments.

Avdol said you shouldn't have any regrets if you want to fight the fear of death. You have regrets, you're terrified of leaving this world.

You make it. You successfully dial Jotaro's number. You hear his voice on the other line.

"Hey, why are you calling? You just texted me. Everything okay?"

His voice. His beautiful, beautiful deep voice. God, you love his voice so much. It's such a warm sound for your soul. Never stop talking, Jotaro.

You spit out more blood as you try taking any sort of breath. Your voice is barely there as you choke out his name.

"J-Jo... Jota...ro.."

Jotaro calls out your name, his voice sounds serious now. Worried, even. You can't answer him. He calls out your name louder.

"This isn't fucking funny! What's wrong?! Are you okay?!"

Wow, he sounds like he's panicking. Or does he? You're not sure anymore. His voice is far away. You want him to keep saying your name, but not like this. You don't want him to worry, you want him to be happy. Will he be happy? Can he move on when you're gone? He has to. You know he won't have a choice.

Maybe it's better to die regretful than hurting him even more. He'll feel guilty, if you tell him you love him. He shouldn't feel guilty, you don't want him to. It's okay, you think. He doesn't need to know.

You muster up a big breath, your body feels light. It doesn't hurt anymore. You're still cold and it's wet, but it's okay. Your heartbeat slows down.

"J-Jojo.. I'm.. okay.. " He hates the name. You know he does. But it's easier on your voice right now.

"Where are you?! Are you still at the station?! Were you attacked?!"

He sounds scared. Please don't be scared, Jotaro. Please don't be scared for me, you think.

"'m.. okay. Don't-" you cough up a little more blood. "It's not your fault, Jojo.. It never was."

You won't tell him. He's scared. He will be hurting even more. You can't do that to him.

"What the fuck do you mean "not my fault"? Tell me where you are, please! Are you hurt?!" Jotaro's voice is cracking. He's yelling into the phone.

You can't feel your arm anymore and your eyes lose focus. Your phone drops to the floor, next to you, right into the crimson pool around you. Your head is pounding and you feel so, so tired. You can close your eyes for just a second, right?

You see Iggy in front of you when you open your eyes again. He's wagging his tiny tail as he bites your hand softly to wake you up. When you look around, you see Avdol, shaking his head slightly as he crosses his arms, but then he gives a small smile. Noriaki is crouching next to you and smiling sadly.

"I wish we didn't see you again this soon. But destiny has its own plans, huh?" Noriaki spoke. His voice was soft, so soft. He still sounds this same. You feel warmer, somehow and there's no wetness clinging onto your clothes anymore. Noriaki takes your hand as he helps you get up.

"Come on, we have to go."
"Go where?"
"To the other side"
You hesitate. But then Avdol takes your other hand and Iggy walks ahead of you guys with a joyful bark. Everything feels warm here, it's so nice.
"Okay."
So, you go. You disappear with the three of them and you feel happy. You don't mind having to wait in order to see Jotaro again one day.

It's January 31st of 2009 at 8PM when Jotaro stands in front of your gravestone. He brought you a bouquet of white roses, which he lays down gently at your resting place. He is wearing the watch you bought on the day you died. If you were still here, you'd probably be overjoyed to see him wearing it.

Joseph is next to him, the two men staring down at the cold stone.

"I loved her. I loved her more than anyone I have ever loved in my life." Jotaro speaks up after half an hour of just standing in front of your grave.

"I know." Joseph just replies, one hand on his cane and his other hand placed softly on Jotaro's shoulder. If you looked at the pair closely, you'd see Jotaro's shoulders shaking just a tiny bit.

Jotaro was the love of your life. But sometimes, destiny has other plans for people who truly love each other.

So, yeah, love really fucking sucks for Jotaro and you.

Chapter 3: How Jason Made It his Own
Bruce will never forget Jason’s face when he finally gave in and said they can go meet the Justice League. It’s so happy and thrilled, excited and full of life. Jason is such a happy kid, who is grateful for where he is now.
He will also never forget Jason’s reply when he explains that they have a cover to maintain towards the Justice League and what that cover is. Despite knowing that it is mostly because he is too embarrassed to admit he lied, he goes on a little spiel about the safety of their identities that Jason has heard a thousand times before.
Jason doesn’t really believe him, clear by the way he looks at him while he talks. But when he is done, Jason looks around to see if anyone is there (obviously there isn’t, they’re in the Batcave), then he leans in conspiratorially and whispers: “Are we- Are we pranking the Justice League?”
For a second, Bruce is silent, then he laughs, because framing it like that doesn’t exactly make it better, but it does make him feel better about lying. “Yeah,” he chuckles, “yeah, we’re pranking the Justice League.”
“I need to prepare for this,” Jason says excitedly. “I am going to be a master performer. They’ll never know. This is great.”
Thus, there is a pep in his step as he excitedly trails after B into the Watchtower for the first time, grin in place and lines practiced with Alfred.
They enter a big room with a table, around which all the Justice League members are sitting. A few start to greet Batman, but the room falls silent, much like it had done when Dick came around, when they spot Jason, who peeks out from behind Bruce with an impish grin.
“Hi,” he waves at them excitedly. “I’m Robin, it’s nice to meet you.”
“Hello, Robin,” Diana replies, the first to recover from having a new boy show up as Bruce’s shadow- or, uh, light.
Now that he has Jason’s lens, it’s quite amusing to watch the others try to rhyme it in their heads, especially Clark, who can definitely hear that there is a different heartbeat inside Jason’s chest.
As expected with Wonder Woman greeting him, Jason is a little starstruck, shaking her hand as he stares with big eyes. Though he manages: “It is a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Wonder Woman. You are an inspiration.”
Diana is obviously quite taken by this young admirer and she smiles kindly at him. “That is a high compliment coming from a Robin.”
Jason blushes slightly, then seems to remember himself, because he squares his scrawny little shoulders and states: “I am not a Robin, I am the Robin. But you are welcome, Ms. Wonder Woman.”
“I don’t know, you don’t look like the little twerp we’ve met before,” Hal says, leaning over Jason as he inspects him, Barry looking over his shoulder.
“Of course not,” Jason exclaims dramatically. “Robin is a concept, a manifestation. It would be unbecoming for Robin not to embody what he stands for. We manifestations can grow and evolve, not that you would get that, one bound to that form.”
At that moment, Bruce is reminded that Jason is going through his Shakespeare phase, enabled by Alfred. He wonders if he should step in, but he is more amused to see how it plays out. It’s a prank after all
“The Robin you knew, is no more. Blüdhaven called for its own protector and took the one, you knew as Robin as her own,” Jason continues to monologue. “She needed someone capable and trained, not freshly formed. So the hero now known as Nightwing, gave back that which made him Robin and took on his new mantle to serve her. While, I formed with what he gave back and that what is new.”
Barry leans in and whispers: “It’s beginning to sound a little a villain monologue, are you sure we shouldn’t step in or something?”
“No,” Bruce grunts.
However, Jason has heard as well and he points to Barry, who yelps a little. Jason says: “Do you believe the night to be static? Do you believe its light cannot evolve? Why? The moon waxes and wanes. A spotlight calls us now. Why should I remain the same?”
Now Barry decides to whisper to Hal, instead of Bruce. “Is he a werewolf? Is that what he’s implying?”
“I thought they were vampires. Or demons,” Hal replies.
This time, Jason pretends not to hear them, though Bruce knows he has. There is a small uptick in the corner of his mouth, a satisfied tilt to his stance. He’s enjoying winding the League up and scaring them a little. He’s enjoying the prank.
“Are you going to change too, Batman?” Clark suddenly asks. “Just so that we know what to expect, of course. I don’t mean to pry.”
“No,” is all he says to that, because that is truly all they need to know. And he hasn’t prepared to come up with something and he doesn’t want to bother with it now. He knows these people well enough by now that he knows they mean it when they say they don’t mean to pry.
Jason, naturally, has another idea. He gasps loudly and dramatically: “Let us hope he never does. Something grave must happened for the night to change.”
Now the Justice League is looking concerned. Bruce remains quiet, not sure where Jason is going, but more than happy to let him go ahead. He can update the files when they get home to reflect the new knowledge Jason shares. Maybe it will give him some ideas.
“The night is not like the light in it,” Jason informs everyone there, looking quite solemn. “The light in it can be manipulated and changed, but the night? That’s darkness. That’s stable. You can’t easily add darkness, just subtract light. And I’m the light. No, if Batman changes, that’s- Oef, something happened in Gotham if that happens.”
It’s silent.
Bruce thinks that it is very dramatic and adds to his persona. He quite likes the yarn Jason is spinning, though it would make it harder to ever step down. Not that he’s planning on that now, but a contingency to consider.
Then Jason breaks the silence with a smile. “Of course it will happen at some point, but don’t worry about that.”
“Okay, small child, please tell us more than that,” Barry pleads, super speeding over to shake Jason’s shoulders.
Jason is definitely enjoying this as he says: “Not a child.” And for once Bruce can’t correct him. The little shit knows what he is doing.
Barry doesn’t care and willingly goes along. For him it’s the truth. “Okay, then, well of information, do tell us more, please.”
“I don’t know if I can,” Jason says, looking over to Bruce. It’s the closest he’ll likely ever come to asking for permission.
Following his gaze, Barry’s eyes land on Bruce as well, hands still on Jason’s shoulders. Cautiously, he asks: “But you could, right? You both know what’s happening?”
“Of course,” Jason huffs.
Clark jumps in. “It would makes us all feel a little better if we know a little more in the event it should happen.”
Bruce nods his assent to Jason, curious to see what answer he has, because Bruce certainly doesn’t have any.
Jason grins and frees himself from Barry’s grasp, then dusts himself off as he explains: “We grow, get stronger. As long as Gotham has need for us, we will be here. Batman grows. You’ve all seen it. He seems to age like any person would. But Gotham will need us longer than a human can bear the burden.”
He is pretty sure Jason is a natural with how he has everyone hanging from his lips. He hasn’t looked at them yet, busy straightening himself out. But now he does look up, making sure he’s looked all of them in the eyes.
“There will come a day when he gets too old, then one of the parts of him that has been or is Robin will merge with him again, but this time they will not leave their old parts behind to reform. This time, they’ll remain merged and become Batman, growing until a new Robin can be formed, if there isn’t a Robin in existence yet at the time,” Jason says. “They will become Batman and this Batman will fade out of existence.”
“The new one will know some things the old Batman knew, but not everything. It won’t be him anymore,” Jason tells them. “The new form will grow and Batman and Robin will continue to patrol Gotham as they have always done.”
It’s a smart move on Jason’s part to allow for a Robin to be able to take over the mantle, the most likely option. He has also explained why Bruce ages and how he will one day will have to stop, but Batman will continue if he is needed.
He truly is a natural.
However, he has left the room in a quite sullen mood. He seems to realize that and he grins again: “Don’t look like that. Everyone has a cycle they’re a part of. And I for one, am delighted to be at the start of mine.”
The rest of the League now seem to realize that they’ve been so busy with all Jason’s been saying, they haven’t welcomed him like they usually would. So, they quickly rectify that and Jason spends the rest of the day, wrapping the League around his fingers, much like he has Bruce.
At the end, when they’ve returned to the Batcave, Jason quietly asks: “Did I go overboard?” in that uncertain way he still sometimes falls into where he convinces himself Bruce will throw him back on the streets.
“No, you were great,” Bruce smiles, happy when Jason puffs up with pride. “There is an improv theater club if you want to join. You have talent.”
“Can I, dad?” Jason asks, sparks in his eyes at the suggestion.
“Of course.” Bruce ruffles his hair.
Much later, after many tragedies, Jason will return to Gotham and do things his own way. He would have forgotten about it, were it not for the rumors still circulating. And he knows that this is between him and Bruce.
So, he sows a sound system into his own costume and picks a second heartbeat that is aggressively loud and strong. A fighter’s heartbeat. And when Superman catches him in Metropolis, he spits: “You can’t hold me. I’m Crime Alley incarnated. I am not bound by your reality, you motherfucker, so let me go.”
And Superman will frown and say: “You have the second Robin’s first heartbeat, but a new second one.”
In turn, Jason will angrily snap: “Well, yeah, the second Robin died. And there was no Batman to absorb me. This is who I became. This is the justice Crime Alley needs. Think you know better, Boy Scout?”
And Superman will let him go in shock, ready to ask Batman more questions about this new part of Gotham that has become a manifestation.
~~
A/N:
This went from ‘haha funny’ to ‘sad’ very quickly and I am afraid this is what the vibes are now, because we all know what happened to Jason and that is pretty unavoidable. Hopefully the good vibes will return in chapter five…
(also this chapter not being his POV’s but Bruce’s until the end, because it no longer feels like he experienced it and instead it is mostly Bruce, who holds these memories now ahhhasjfdgsdf, I wanna turn into an oyster and live on the ocean floor forever)

etched in gold
Husband makes his heart race. His breath catches in his throat, his smile grows on its own accord, and the world comes to a pinpoint of focus, slows, because he has a husband.
TK’s head falls back, revealing the beautiful line of his neck as he laughs at whatever someone said in the circle of their friends he’s standing in. He’s golden in this warm light, catching on the ring that he slid onto his finger mere hours ago, a symbol of forever, through anything — not that they need one. It’s been proven, and their love is more than enough.
Most of their guests have gone home, leaving just their family, immediate and found, to enjoy the extra time they opted for at the venue, their conversations merely accompanying the soft music playing from a speaker somewhere, a glorious hum of people who came together for them.
Carlos finds himself unable to look away, like so many times before. It always catches him off guard, those moments of this is mine, this is my life and I get to have it, that make him practically pinch himself so he knows he’s not dreaming.
“Carlitos,” he hears. It’s a feat to pull his gaze away from TK, only to find Luisa leaning gently toward him. She has his niece in her lap, fast asleep against her chest as she strokes her hair. “You should be with your husband.”
“In a minute,” he replies. He’s enjoying this moment from afar.
His sister clearly isn’t having it, nudging his ankle with her foot under the table, laughing when he gives her an amused look. “Go,” she says again. “It’s your wedding day, you don’t have to entertain us so much.”
And she’s correct. “Alright, alright.” Carlos gets to his feet, but not before leaning over to kiss his niece’s curls.
He sighs contentedly as he crosses over, catching TK by the waist and pulling him in to kiss his cheek from behind. TK startles a laugh, only to fall comfortably back into Carlos’ arms as he leans up to kiss him back, lips just hitting his jawline.
“I’m not interrupting, am I?” He asks the circle, though it’s mostly directed at TK, whose arm is linked with his own as he runs his thumb in little swipes over his sleeve.
“Not at all, baby,” TK replies with a grin,
“We’re just hounding your husband a bit,” Paul laughs, and Carlos eyes him curiously.
“About what?”
“Last names, mostly,” Nancy says, leaning into Mateo. “And how one hyphen sounds better than the other.”
“Just let them do their thing,” TK says to him.“They’ve been at it all night.”
“And they know we’re keeping our own?”
Marjan holds up a finger. “Uh, for now. That’s what TK said.”
Carlos hums. “Okay, well, you all start placing your bets, I’m going to steal my husband.”
A series of teasing and childish ooohs follow them as they make their way down a cobblestone path that winds down to the lower level.
They walk in slow, happy silence for a little while, hand-in-hand, until they reach the area their ceremony was earlier in the evening. TK sighs happily as they take a seat on the stone wall at the back of the aisle. The chairs have since been put away, the flower petals swept up, leaving an open and empty space for another couple to tour someday soon and fall in love with, a place to showcase their love to the world just as they did today.
TK rests his head on Carlos' shoulder, and Carlos leans his head on his. In the distance, music thrums softly as laughter is carried throughout the venue. It's perfect, in this charming and private moment of theirs.
"What are you thinking?" TK asks him quietly, as if speaking any louder will break the spell that's fallen on them.
"That this really is the best day of my life."
TK lifts his head up and smiles. "Mine, too. I'd say it's almost perfect."
"Yeah..." Carlos breathes out shakily as he tries to stave off the tears for what feels like the hundredth time today, and he does it, but barely. "Almost."
"Baby." TK shifts to kiss him, letting go of Carlos' hand where it sits in his lap to hold the side of his face.
The kiss is tender enough to make him melt, and Carlos finds himself putting his entire being into it. He pulls away with barely any space between them, foreheads touching and noses bumping as TK sneaks in one last one.
"They're here," Carlos hears him whisper, fingers toying with the lobe of his ear, a comforting gesture. "They're here. Nothing could have stopped them."
He doesn't want the bittersweetness to show, but he knows he can let it out with TK. He's his safe space, his lifeline, someone he's vowed to love and fiercely hold onto until the end of his days. So he lets it out, a choked shudder, then shakes himself. Carlos sits up tall as he catches TK's eye and knocks his finger gently under his chin.
"Did you check your ring?" Carlos' eyes drop down momentarily to the band that rests on TK's finger.
He smiles. "No," he says with a laugh, "I haven't. I told you I wouldn't until we could look together, and when I tell you that was one of the hardest things I've had to refrain from doing..."
Carlos raises a brow. "Oh yeah?"
"Yeah. Almost as hard as not shoving cake in your face initially."
"Well, you did in the end."
TK laughs again. "Only after you did it to me," he points out. "Did you look at yours?"
"Nope. We made a promise."
"That we did." He moves a little closer. "You first."
Carefully, Carlos slides his ring off his finger and holds it up so he can see. The lighting isn't bright, but it's enough to make out a line of Hebrew characters inside the gold band.
"Ani l'dodi v'dodi li," TK recites beautifully, watching as Carlos squints as he thinks. "I am my beloved's..."
"And my beloved is mine," he finishes, watching as TK's eyes light up.
"You remembered?"
"Of course I did. It's beautiful."
TK beams. "You're beautiful."
He holds up his ring next, and Carlos watches carefully for his reaction. It goes from curious to realization in less than a second, and TK's eyes are shiny when he turns back to him.
His mouth hangs open. "I—is this...?"
He nods. "Now I'll always be there to hold you, no matter what."
TK lets out an audible breath, shaking his head as if he cannot believe what he's looking at. "Baby, this...this is amazing."
Carlos pulls the ring a little closer so he can take a look himself, trailing over the whorls of his very own fingerprint etched on the inside of TK's wedding band.
"I didn't even know this was an option."
"Neither did I," Carlos tells him, "but I did my research."
TK's shoulders drop as he leans into him, pressing a kiss against his jaw. "I love you so much."
"I love you." He pulls TK in for a proper kiss, holding his face in his hands. "Thank you for marrying me," he says with a gentle laugh. He knows it sounds ridiculous, but he needs to say it.
TK hums. "Thank you for saying yes."
They kiss again, longer this time, more drawn-out, before TK goes to slide his ring back on. Carlos stops him.
"Let me."
TK returns the gesture, and for a little while they sit there in complete, contented silence, comforted by each other's presence and peace.
There's a whole life ahead of them waiting to be discovered. Carlos has plans, and he knows TK has plans of his own. He can't wait to see what's in store. But, for now, Carlos needs nothing else — just his husband, who is his entire heart, and the promise of forever.

cool cool cool cool cool I am feeling totally normally after seeing your response to my ask and totally am not chewing on the wheel wells of my car
would you go more into detail about our silly little fae?? and would you mind if I maybe had the time to write up a lil ficlet for Soap one day??? 😗
Don't eat your car, it's tough on your teeth. 🩵 I hear human hearts make better meals... But seriously, in response to your second question, I would not mind if you wrote a little ficlet for Fae!Soap, but please tag me in it so I can read it!
For the first question (Thank you for indulging me and my insane little worlds) :
Johnny, Kyle and Price are all in the mortal world because of Simon. Because Simon is the most powerful of the lot, even though Price is the oldest (only by a couple hundred years) they all yield to his demands, if he makes them. Which he doesn't, he simply asks and because they're all practically brothers, friends for nearly their whole lives, they're happy to oblige. Besides, the mortal world can filled with fun, if you know where to look. The reason why Price isn't in the pub that night with the other three is because he's found his own trouble to get into. (And it's not a Nereid. There are other creatures that lurk in the mortal world, too.)
Simon had been disappearing for decades before they finally caught on to what was happening. He kept it incredibly close to his chest, unwilling to share his secret, his desperation for his Nereid, until it all came to a head one day, in the thick of war, and he had to leave. It was Price that followed him, confronted him on the beach where he was standing, staring silently at the waves, hours after you had slipped back beneath the water to go home. (They don’t really talk about it now but Simon would get crazy depressed every year after your hunt, sulking in the shadows of his home with the doors locked.)
Speaking of war: Faerie is massive. It's more expansive than the mortal realm, existing in a pocket of magic that is difficult to travel to unless you know the way. It has different climates, topography, geography. I envision it as like... "modernized mythology", no cars because they all use magic to travel, they have magical weapons, etc. No giant cities like the ones in the mortal realm because they just don't care for them. They're not interested in one-upping one another like lunatic mortals, they're interested in bloodsport and power. All the residents are (mostly) Fae. Full of magic that differs from one to next, millennia old bloodlines all battling for power from one century to the next. When you live forever, and you can take life with the snap of your finger, full scale war quickly becomes the answer to most questions. Gaz is actually born of one of these bloodlines, royal blood and proper titles, pomp, circumstance and all, but he shuns it. Chooses the life of a solider with his friends over a throne and a crown. Simon is from a similar bloodline, but one with a dark history, centuries of cyclical abuse that he's determined not to repeat with his own children. Price is from a very large, very well known family in a Northern Region, and is like the founder of their group. He acts as the voice of reason for all of them when their heads grow too hot. Johnny is from an Isle that holds it's own secrets...
They look different in their realm. They glamour themselves in the mortal world, hiding their ears and eye color, dulling their features as to not stand out. At home, they drop it to be themselves, pointed ears and razor sharp face lines, power oozing from every pore, their connection with the magic changing their eye color to reflect how they’re feeling emotionally. And their noses… they can smell everything. Simon can smell you miles away, can pick up on a change in your sweat, can smell the scent of your hair even if you’re on the other side of the house.
They are Fae, so let's not pretend they're particularly sweet. Certainly, they can be, and would be... to whomever they fall in love with but they're also known to be brutal, effective killers, vicious and murderous creatures who care little for the blood they spill. They’re known as the 141 in both realms, and they possess limitless potential for cruelty. Simon is feared across Faerie, just his name enough to send infantry lines of lesser soldiers running. He’s only sweet for you, protective and possessive of his huntress to a fault.

Little crush pt.7
->Previous part<-
A/N: Im so sorry for how iregular i am with posting that series and not posting in generally. I don't really have any ideas right now so please if you have any you would want me to write, tell me.
“Hey Daryl! How are you doing?” sitting in front of him you smiled and put your tray of food on the table. This was the new thing in Daryl’s life: your attention. From the day the two of you went into the woods you would always sit with him at lunch or at class. Sometimes your friends would also come and he found out they weren’t like he thought they would be. Slowly but surely you were making progress. Some days he would ask you to go out again and take you into the woods again, showing you the cool plants, flowers and rocks he finds. Some days he would come over to your house, lay in bed next to you and just talk about whatever came to mind to either of you.
Though you never went to his house. You didn’t even know where he lived, whenever you asked or ever brought it up he would immediately stop talking, looking a bit wide-eyed at you, hopping that you would somehow forget about your question about his home. And almost always you did. Shrugging of his strange reaction and going on with your previous activities.
However, Daryl knew he would need to explain to you his home life at some point. He just didn’t know how to explain it to you, let alone bring it up. And you would have questions which he would be too ashamed to answer. And why would you want to hang out with someone this broken. You deserved better than him and he knew it, but for now he was going to hope you don’t find out how damaged he is.
“Good, good. How are ya?” Looking at your face, practically about to split in half by the smile on it, he smiled as well. It wasn’t as bright and noticeable as yours, just lifted corner of his mouth, but still a smile. That was a thing you noticed about him recently. He wasn’t the one to talk much, except when he was asked a question and mostly keeping to himself.
“Same here. Hey, do you want to come to my place after school? If you are free, of course.” You asked. “Yeah, I’m free. I need ta go to my place but I will come over later.  That okay?” Happy with his answer, you grinned and started talking about whatever new gossip you heard this day. Daryl just listened and gave his opinion here and there, dropping a few comments and jokes. You laughed especially hard at some remark he just said.
The proud feeling in his chest was something new and unexpected, a rare thing thanks to the numerous bitter and insulting criticism he received through all the years after his mother’s death. But your laughter gave him the confidence to continue with the comments and soon you were clutching your stomach, your face red from barely being able to take a breath.
The sight was one Daryl wished could burn into his brain and remember forever. He wished the light into your eyes could always remain there. And he was sure he will do everything in his power to keep it there. Soon the bell rang and he needed to get up and go to his next class. You were still red-faced from the lack of air in your lungs.
“I will see you later, Dar.” Caressing his arm quickly you headed in the opposite way of his class, mixing with the other students around you. Going in the direction he was supposed to he pondered on how touchy feely you had gotten with him.
Every time the two of you separated you would squeeze his shoulder or arm, sometimes hugging him. There were some cases where the universe decides to smile upon him and you would kiss him on the cheek. Without exception he would smile sheepishly and get a pink tint over his cheeks. At least he didn’t flinch when you brushed his body with yours.
It was a hard thing to get used to it, a gentle and affectionate one but he ultimately did. And every time it felt like a fire was lit in his stomach, the warmth spreading to every part of his body, a feeling he could get used to. And he was trying to return them all the time, though still a bit shy. But when you didn’t seem to mind them, even going as far to think you like them, he continued with the light touches.
At the end of the school day he waited for you at the door but he didn’t saw you and decided he would meet you at your house later. Going on his way he thought of how his dad seemed to have disappeared these days, never seeing him around the trailer. It’s not like he was complaining. Without his father around he was able to breath at home, not needing to worry if Will was in a bad mood and wanting to take it out on Daryl.
Sadly, four days have passed since his dad was gone, so he was about to come back every moment now. The thoughts of his dad reminded him how he hasn’t seen Merle in a very long time, the last one being around five months ago. He knew why his brother fled the moment an opportunity presented itself but it still hurt Daryl that his older brother left him to deal with the nightmare of a dad they had.
`````````````````````
Opening the front door of the trailer, Daryl, went inside. The first thing he did was to look around and strain his ears for any signs of his father being home. There was no snoring so he wasn’t asleep somewhere. But when he looked towards the couch he saw the television turned on and the head of a man resting over the cushions. There was not a bald spot so there was no way that was his ad and the only other person having a key to the trailer was his brother.
The thought made goosebumps appear over Daryl’s skin. The last encounter with his older brother wasn’t a particularly friendly one. Merle was high and it seemed that it wasn’t a rare habit of his. The older of the Dixon brothers was dealing meth and trying to get Daryl to help him. Of course Daryl refused, not expecting his brother to go no contact after that.
But now he was here and turning around to see who had just entered. Upon seeing it was his younger brother there a wide grin spread over his face.
 “Well look who is here! I was waitin’ the whole day for ya, Darylina!” His brothers mocking tone didn’t give the idea that Merle was up to good but Daryl knew if he didn’t respond Merle was going to become a lot worse to deal with.
“Hi, Merle. What are ya doin’ here?” he didn’t want to waste his time with whatever bullshit his brother was here for, only wanting to get to your house faster.
“That ain’t the way ya greet yur older brother, is it?” The smile fell from Merle’s face, being replaced by a frown and a cold look into his eyes. Daryl couldn’t tell if his brothers eyes were red because of the colorfully lights coming from the TV. But if he had to guess he would say his brother was on something.
“I need ta go somewhere. So what do ya want?” Daryl was getting impatient and his fists were alreay clenching at his sides. “What got yur panties in a twist, huh Darylina? What did ya find someone to look at ya twice. Maybe ya unstuck yur thong from the roof of yur mouth and got some pussy? Huh?”
The mocking tone was back in the older’s voice and Merle even started laughing at the tough of his brother being worthy of the attention of a girl. But this time Daryl wasn’t going to cower away and stay silent. The time spent with you and the affection you were giving him gave him the confidence he always seemed to lack.
“Shut up, Merle! It’s none of yur business if I did. Now what the hell do ya want?!” Merle has never seen his brother stand up for himself let alone yell at him like that. He was in such shock that his mouth fell open. That was the first time Merle Dixon was at a loss for words.
Using the state his brother was in, Daryl, went into his room, dropping his bag and grabbing the stuff he needed. Going back into the living room his brother’s mouth was now closed but there was a glare that made his blood ran cold. Maybe he shouldn’t have said anything but he couldn’t take it back. Going outside he prayed Merle was going to let it go.
Unfortunately for the younger brother, Merle was already thinking of a way to make him pay for his words.
Don't Be Like Him (Angst, Fluff)
Word count: 900
Warnings: Dysfunctional family, crying, angst, toxic marriage,
Summary: Your parents have lots of fights, and there hasn't usually been any like this one. You're on your mum's side, because your dad calls your mum a lot of nasty things and burdens her with his family. You come home one day, crying to your husband Draco, and you tell him to promise you that he will never be like your dad.
a/n: This was requested by my close friend who went through a similar situation, and to all of those who relate, I am so sorry, I know that its hard to see parents fighting, especially when the outcomes are never good. Just know that you aren't alone, and that there is always other family and friends to support you. <333
---
You sit in your bedroom, alone, heart aching as you can hear your parents fighting in the living room across you.
You just came over to spend some time with them in the muggle world since you haven't seen them for so long, but practically nothing has changed. Still the same old screaming and shouting, the same one that haunted you as a child.
You toss around in your childhood bed, memories flooding as you cry yourself to sleep, wiping your tears on the hem of your blanket, where you can see tear stains from years ago; when the same thing happened.
"YOU EVIL WOMAN! WHY DID I EVER MARRY YOU" You can hear your father scream at your mum, followed by her hysterical sobs.
"DO YOU EVER THINK THAT MAYBE I AM UNHAPPY? HOW COULD YOU SAY THESE THINGS ABOUT YOUR OWN WIFE!" You wince as your mum retaliates.
You hate these fights. Mostly because its always your dad who wins. You mum will say sorry, her opinions won't be heard. Because she's the woman, she's meant to be weak. In your dad's eyes she is nothing but someone to push around and bend to his will.
Part of you want's to go out there, support your mum, help her fight. The other part of you doesn't want to get involved, because it hurts too much to have to come in between your parents.
You take the third option; go back home to Draco.
You get up, pack your bag quickly and open the door. Staring your mum and dad in the eyes as they fall silent. You don't say a word and exit the door, not looking back.
You don't want to leave your mum there, you don't want her to suffer alone, you want to stay and cry with her, make the pain hurt less. But it's too much. You don't have the energy to deal with more screaming. What did your mum ever do to deserve this. Why couldn't she just be blessed with a happy life.
Before you leave the driveway, you cast a silencing spell on both of them, so that they aren't able to hear each other or fight more. At least they could get some rest that way.
You sigh as tears brim your eyes as you head home to Draco.
---
As the night falls silent, you insert the key to yours and Draco's apartment. Inside is dark, but you peek into the bedroom to see the nightlight on, and Draco reading a book in bed, shirtless.
You make eye contact with him and he smiles, but a smile fails to form on your lips as tears start streaming down your face, as if you've been holding them in for an eternity.
Draco's face drops as he sees your change in mood. He quickly gets up and walks over to you, cradling you in his arms as you cry into his chest.
"My love what happened what's wrong" he gently spoke.
"My parents..."  you sniffle "They're fighting again, I hate it"
He shushes you softly, and sways in a comforting manner.
"Are they okay now?"
"They only shut up because I put a silencing spell on them, but..." you start to cry again.
"Baby... please tell me anything" he coos
"My dad" you started "He called my mum an evil woman" you cry again "And said that he wished he never married her" you start to breathe hard and grip onto Draco's arms harder.
"I don't understand how he could say something like that Draco! I-I wish my mum had a better life" you cry, the tears aren't for you though, they're for your mum.
"No one deserves that my love" he whispers "You don't deserve that either, to see your parents fighting"
I fall silent for a bit, calming down.
"Draco?" my voice breaks again "Would you... ever say those kinds of things to me?" you say, feeling vulnerable.
Draco looks taken aback, "My love I would never. I love you too much to say those kinds of things, no matter how angry I am I would never call you evil, or regret marrying you, believe me my darling." he hushes.
"Good. Don't be like him "I wrap my arms around him, sighing into his chest. "I love you" I whisper.
"I love you too darling" he says.
---
a/n: I could really relate to this prompt and I know that seeing your parents fight is a very hard thing to watch, especially as a young child. If you are experiencing this or still have past trauma, please reach out to family or friends you can confide in because sometimes it's really good to talk about these things and let your feelings out<3 Take care everyone:)
