party precure intro post part 1: story, cures n fairies!

Took meh a while but here it is, this is party precure! (name made before delicious party was announced, party precure can be shortened to partypre,)

"Celebrating our friendship! Party precure!”

(Motifs: holidays, friendships despite differences and parties!)

“Hikari kira lives in the small town of byoyōmi with her mom, the local celeb baker, mochi kira, on her 15th birthday, a mysterious woman enters and turns a birthday cake her mom, mochi made into a giant monster….then a talking top hat and candle fall out of the sky. These two are hatter (the tsundere-esc top hat) and candle, (a energetic….candle.) fairies from party plaza, a another world, which is under attack by 3 villains, and 5 fairies have been chosen to visit earth to recruit the precure, legendary warriors to save party plaza, enraged at seeing her mom's hard work be turned into a monster, hikari bonds with hatter, and becomes cure birthday!”

cures:

hikari kira/cure birthday: 15-year old hikari kira (nicknamed "kari" by friends) enjoys soccer, and has dreams of one day being in the world cup, she’s brash and a hot-head, but a great friend, standing up for the ppl/things she cares about, she and her fairy partner, hatter, initially dont get along, but their friendship gets stronger as the series progresses, with hatter, she becomes cure birthday! as cure birthday, her attack's involve her building up energy then surprising the motw with a powerful attack!

her cure introduction phrase is: "Wishing for a future filled with hope! Cure birthday!" (hikari’s also bi, i know bout hikari kujou, thats why kari is her nickname!)

yume hoshi/cure cuddle: 13-year old yume hoshi is hikari’s childhood bff, having known each other after hikari tripped on a sleeping yume when she was trying to play soccer by herself, (long story) yume is autistic, having a special interest in plushies, she also adores video games, her comfort object being a little rainbow colored worm plushie hikari gifted her when they were younger that she nicknames wormie, normally, yume is very sleepy and quiet, and is prone to falling asleep anytime, anywhere, but when she gets told to do somthing, she gets a burst of motivation and is unstoppable! (Hikari nicknamed this "super mode") at first, yume has no idea hikari is a precure, as while she was at hikari’s birthday…she fell asleep and missed cure birthday fighting the cake motw. (motw stands 4 monster of the week) then yume witnesses hikari transform to fight a rather familiar looking motw, turns out, crasher found wormie and turned it into a motw, yume wanted to save both hikari and wormie, as she doesnt want to see them hurt, and bonds with candle, and becomes cure cuddle! As cure cuddle, yume’s personality shifts from sleepy and quiet to talkative and ready to fight alongside her best friend! As cure cuddle, her attacks involve hugs, (after all, she is called cure cuddle,) but also calming the motw down to a state the cure's can purify it,

her cure introduction phrase is: "Warm hugs and happiness with friends! Cure cuddle!" (yume’s asexual,)

amai toro/cure treat: Amai’s the youngest member of the cures, being only 7, (she’s also the shortest, resulting in a episode where after being bugged about her height by a older student and traps, amai decides she'll make herself taller so nobody can call her "shorty!"...by using stilts.) amai goes to the local elementary school nearby byoyōmi middle school (the school where hikari and yume attend,) one day, on a walk to mochi’s bakery to pick up a order her dad forgot, she saw what seemed to be a pumpkin stuck up a tree, curious (since pumpkin's dont normally grow on trees) she went to get the pumpkin…which turned out to be a fairy, pumpkin is the fairy’s name, (amai nicknames him kin) and he got thrown up there by som older students who mistook him for being a football, when traps attacks with a piñata motw, she bonds with kin, and she becomes cure treat!

her cure introduction phrase is: "The treats of friendship and happiness! Cure treat!" (cure treat is a dual colored cure! orange and green,)

aito tegami/cure message: 15-year old aito is nicknamed “the prince of byoyōmi middle school,” due to his appearance and his stoic personality, aito's actually a nice guy who has a passion for writing and taking care of the flowers outside of the school, one day, a talking bow falls out of the sky and lands in his bag, when he comes home and opens it, he and bow meet, when tricks attacks with a party popper motw, he bonds with bow, and becomes cure message! as cure message, he uses "fast as pen writing" kicks to fight the motw. (btw, aito keeps his glasses as cure message, they turn bright red,)

his cure introduction phrase is: "Words written with love and care! cure message!" (He’s a white cure, since his cure motif is based on "white day," a japanese holiday)

before i introduce the later addition cure, i have to mention this, there's supposed to be 5 members but i cant come up with a good idea for them, nor their fairy partner so i just left them out till i come up with a idea 4 them

Tomaki tadashi/confetti/cure calender: Confetti is the daughter of the ruler of party plaza, king calendar, and the fairy princess of party plaza. Confetti is a big precure fangirl, having been told stories of the legendary warriors when she was younger, and she idolizes them, in her mind, confetti didn't want to be a princess, she wanted to be a cure and fight alongside the heroes! When party plaza got attacked, she snuck out after the 5 fairies were chosen and hopped into the portal leading down to earth, she arrives during tanabata, and learns of a legend in byoyōmi, one involving a meteor that has the magical power to grant your tanabata wishes when you leave them on the rock! Confetti found a tanabata paper, and written her wish, “I wish i can be like the heroes i adore.” When she woken up the next day….She discovered she became a human girl! Going to byoyōmi middle school under the human name of tomaki tadashi (the maki part of her name came from makizushi, a food she loves that she found of earth) and met hikari and the rest of the partypre, during gym, she discovered a small side effect of her wish, she reverts back to her fairy form when she gets tired. (or sick) hikari soon discovered her, hiding inside the bathroom, hikari decided to tell her that she’s cure birthday, since tomaki told her keep her fairy form a secret, she’s gonna tell tomaki/confetti to keep her precure powers a secret. Soon, tricks attacks, and captures the fairy/human, and confetti meets the other cures, after they get defeated, confetti proclaims she wants to help to save her home and her dad, and fight alongside her friends, she gets gifted precure powers and becomes cure calendar!

her cure introduction phrase is: “The bright celebration of smiles and aspirations! Cure calendar!” (yee, she named her cure form after her dad, she’s a rainbow cure!)

fairies:

(they r objects, so make ur bfdi/object show jokes)

hatter: hikari’s fairy, snarky and sarcastic, hatter always argues with hikari, (either it's hatter stealing mochi's bakery cake, or hikari acting lik a hot head,) but deep down, he really cares for his cure partner, (in one episode he gets so frustrated with hikari that he quits being hikari’s partner and runs away, but when tricks attacks, he realizes how hikari needs him, not only to transform, but as a friend. and comes back,)

candle: yume’s fairy, candle is the complete opposite of yume, being energetic and hyper, always wanting to play and talk to her cure partner, but candle can get serious at moments, acting as yume's voice for when she gets upset and goes nonverbal, despite yume and candle’s different personalities, the two are pretty good partners,

Pumpkin/Kin: amai’s fairy, kin adores sweets (all of the fairies do, but kin loves them more,) and being with his cure partner, kin’s different from the other fairies as while hatter, candle, bow, and confetti walk on two legs, kin walks on 4 legs, lik a dog or a cat! Kin also likes to call amai “Amai-hime!” (Or “princess amai”) since he was rescued by amai from being stuck up a tree,

bow: aito’s fairy, bow at first acts lik a ojou (anime rich lady,) but this is revealed to just be a facade, bow only acts lik that just to seem interesting, as she’s the most normal of the fairies, in the beginning, aito’s the only person who knows bout bow’s true personality, but as the series progresses, bow drops the ojou facade around more ppl,

but ive always wondered this, what was the inspiration for the oh so famous Fishie? like were they orginally based off anything, like pre existing toys, stuffies, types of fish or what not ?

Fishie is based off my own special lovey stuffed animal (who i have had since i was born) and another plush I got a few years ago

My special plushie is a bundle of these worms (I have a few different ones and they’re all so old and worn and threadbare now haha) wrapped up in a baby blanket, so they make a nice little bundle to hug (and all the worms rattle so together they have a nice little chorus) they’re literally the most important thing I own for real, my parents were separated so I would tote them back and forth between houses growing up and I still sleep with them every night

I got this fish plush at a convention a few years ago, and I actually liked him (and the artist’s art so much) that I bought a second one. He has a really nice huggable shape that reminds me a lot of my Wormies (as I often call them) when I was younger my special stuffie felt bigger in my arms but now that I am Old Lmao they’re smaller in comparison to me, but the fish plush is the same shape but bigger so it reminds me of what it felt like to hug my special stuffie when I was younger if that makes sense 😭 the artist actually doesn’t sell the one i have anymore but they have a pastel one that I’m sure is just as huggable that I will link

But also I didn’t want to just Rip Off this artist’s design for Fishie (and I pictured him to be more inspired by a Tuna or a Mackerel than a sockeye salmon). Fishie still doesn’t have a canon design, nothing has felt right yet, but I usually draw him blue (so that he looks like a tuna or mackerel, or probably because my special stuffie is mostly blue haha) and then of course he rattles just like my Wormies

Animal crossing also has really cute designs for all of their fish in the encyclopedia and I think every single one would make an adorable toy, I didn’t take them into account at all when originally writing Fishie but in trying to come up with his design I have studied them many times 😳

Eula, Lisa, Jean, and Rosaria with a serious S/O who loves cute things

NO. HOW DARE YOU ASK SUCH A THING- ...

Eula's heart melted the moment she saw her oh so serious S/O's room consisting of multiple small plushies on their bed and desk.

She knew how they kept liking these sorts of things ever since they met, but she had no idea it went to this extent.

S/O almost had a heart attack seeing Eula's face.

(S/O) "Uh...I can explain-"

(Eula) "What is there to explain? Like what you like, I won't judge. I'm the last person to do so anyways."

(S/O) "You promise not to tease me?"

(Eula) "Promise. Besides, I think it's cute."

Her smile got S/O to relax, grateful she won't pay too much attention to their collection of stuffed animals.

(Eula) "...Though I swear, if you hug them instead of me when we sleep my vengeance will be enacted swiftly."

Lisa knew something was up when she saw S/O's reaction upon seeing a kitten roam the streets of Mondstadt.

They seemed to look around nervously before playing and feeding it, making her curious.

(Lisa) "S/O are you afraid someone will see?"

Her appearance made S/O jump, which led to the kitten leaping off the ground a few inches with the sudden movement.

S/O rushed to comfort the kitten before looking sheepishly at Lisa.

(S/O) "You...don't think it's weird do you?"

Lisa looked genuinely surprised which caught them off guard.

(Lisa) "Why would I?"

(S/O) "Oh...W-Well..."

Lisa chuckled and knelt down with them, also petting the kitten.

(Lisa) "You don't have to say anything. This can be our little secret.~"

It was a painful one to keep. She wants to tell everyone how cute it was seeing them enjoying themselves.

Jean actually gets S/O.

She's supposed to be the Acting Grand Master, professionals have standards.

So she also tries not to let anyone see her like that, at least anyone that isn't very close.

At the very beginning, both of them understood and kept their love for cute things out the public eye.

The only one knowing really being Barbara.

(Jean) "Oh, look, a tortoise!"

Both of them knelt down near the foot of the lake and watched the turtle go about its business, walking at, well, a turtle's pace.

(S/O) "You used to have one as a pet, right?"

(Jean) "Yes, although that was quite a long time ago."

(S/O) "What was it's name?"

(Jean) "It was um..." ahem "...Mr. Tortoise."

S/O chuckled, which immediately led them to waving their hand.

(S/O) "Sorry, I'm not laughing at you it's just-"

(Jean) sigh "I wasn't the greatest at naming things back then."

(S/O) "It's cute."

(Jean) "I imagine you have similar naming conventions for your pets?"

(S/O) "I had a pet worm I named Wormy..."

Now Jean was stifling back a laugh.

The two of them shared fond memories of the cute things they had, all while watching the turtle slowly enter the waters.

Rosaria's deadpan expression really doesn't do anything to help S/O's panic.

She had walked in on S/O attending to a stuffed animal's stitching, and she didn't even flinch upon seeing it.

(Rosaria) "Sorry, did I interrupt something?"

(S/O) "W-Well, I...No, but-"

(Rosaria) "What? You afraid that I'd find it?"

(S/O) "...Yes..."

She walked over to them and looked at the plushie.

It was a small rabbit, similar to the Outrider's Baron Bunny.

(Rosaria) "It's cute."

(S/O) "What?"

(Rosaria) "Cute. I don't think it's weird, if that's what you're worried about."

(S/O) "Oh, whew...T-Thanks."

With a small hum of acknowledgement, she left to not interrupt them.

Rosaria doesn't particularly care about their secret. Hell, she enjoys cute things herself.

first we have MOBBU!! (ignore the bootleg wataeis!!) i got him about a month go on a shopping trip with my sister and her middle school bestie! i know hes not an animal but im mentioning him becos he my sweet <3

next we have max plushie! max is from the Sam and Max franchise! hes basically a Vague Rabbit Creature. hes also canonically gay and in feral rabid love with his partner in detective and vigilante crimes, Sam! currently hes in desperate need of a bath. but really i think hes happy like this.. dirty and disgusting.

(i really should put him in the warsh though since i cuddled him constantly while sick with sinus infection weheh)

next are these assorted kirbys + gengar! theyre from last year on hot topic trips with my beloved sister! i originally bought them for her but her bed over at her dorm isnt big enough to accommodate all of them so theyre for me for now >:33 peep tatsun pasha and my.. disassembled shelves GDHBDND

good mention! the amongus plushie my bestie coworkers got for me! 🥹 i have really sweet memories associated with this one.. i started my job back in april 2022 and i was so girlslay, i was awarded partner of the quarter in i think.. july? august? i dont quite remember but it was during that very summer!! and my bestie coworkers bought this for me as a gift!!

its part of a inside joke bc when i was first hired, i would draw amonguses on all of our storage boxes in the back for funsies and write sweet notes to next people on shift dbdjfj.. i still remember the amongus rainbow we drew!!! omgg!! basically i drew an amongus on a blank order sticker and stuck it to the back of our front register self and colored it red i think? and over the next few days, my coworkers added their own amonguses and colored them to make a rainbow!! it was so so sweet and cute and made me fall in love with my job even more!!

next we have.. Samhain!!! hes from when my coworkers took me out shopping at a local mall during halloween season! i saw him and immediately wanted to get him becos i love love love Trick R Treat and i love sammy. hes an animal technically. a creature. hes my sweet and i love him more than anything!!!!! <- ki dropped him into a puddle when ki took him with kiss during halloween trick or treating

pikachu!!! this is from i think high school actually! maybe from a hot topic trip? as you can see her ears have flopped over and lost their stuffing and her arms are on the way.. hut its ok i still love her <3 also doubles as a backpack

and finally!!! my oldest surviving stuffed animal, from my childhood, huge hello kitty plush!!!! she actually used to have a long black sharpie marker line going down her face on her left eye i think? my mom bleached and scrubbed it off her last year so shes super cute and comfy and happy now ^_^ shes also firm so sometimes i use her as a back rest whenever im sitting on my bed

Thons recent hyperfixation is Skyrim, which I have never played. I would love to hang out with thon and play Skyrim some time! Specifically, wormie is hyperfixating on the Dark Brotherhood, Hermaeus Mora, and Clavicus Vile. I know like nothing about this, so wormie would have to tell me more about wormies hyperfixations. Plu also really loves the worm on a string thing. I wonder if plu has a worm on a string of plushies own. Maybe dre has several. Maybe dre makes cool stuff with them! Chapter 29: The Dueling Club

Peter found it a genuine relief, once his head stopped ringing, to find themselves not in Hogwarts for now. There was just too much going on in their school that was giving him the creeps, too much trouble Harry kept getting into that they somehow managed to follow.

His confusion still rose of where exactly they were. There were glass cases lined all along the walls and a metal bar protruding from the wall in front of all that as if it were any kind of deterrent, and it took a few moments before he could get to his feet and peak into the nearest one, prepared to dart away the second another dangerous thing lunged out. Instead he found a strange, very tiny little creature with rough brown skin and buggering blue eyes. There were three prongs coming out the back of its head, but four legs that seemed webbed in appearance and a flat tail. His eyes swept down further and he saw a plaque reading Axolotl- Ambystoma mexicanum, with some description of the beast. Looking more properly now along the way again he saw the same type of thing in front of every display. They were in a reptile house.

He'd been to the zoo a few times in his youth, but his mum being a seamstress meant they hadn't much money and it had been a treat. As far as they knew Harry had only been the one time, but that didn't explain why they were here now. Up until this point they'd been following Harry along, this seemed rather out of the way.

"Hey, I think I found the boa Harry was talking to," Frank said as he eyed a great mound of green coils snoozing away.

"I don't think so," Alice corrected. "I distinctly recall that one being brown, and a Brazilian boa. The Emerald's are from Brazil, but not the right species."

"Maybe they don't have it on display anymore," Lily muttered, thinking that whether it had escaped captivity or been caught, someone likely wouldn't want it on sight anymore.*

"Oi, I found a door that opened!" Sirius whooped in triumph, keeping the book loosely under his arm as he sucked in the fresh air. "How about we put this nasty business on hold lads and get some space, I've never been to a zoo before!"

"That was just sad," Remus told him at once, and Peter was more than happy to follow them out of this place. Too many things in here would find him a snack, in both bodies he could assume.

"I want to see the Dudley gorilla," James agreed as he darted past, coming almost at once to a fork in the road. He didn't even hesitate, high on pure energy he darted right and took off at full speed still shouting about all the animals he wanted to see.

"I vote Wormtail fetches him," Remus smirked.

"You literally just used a Padfoot joke on me, I can't decide if I'm offended or flattered," Peter rolled his eyes as he strolled past the two, who were clearly enjoying the clear skies and shady foliage more.

"Go with flattered and do what he says," Sirius suggested.

Peter was already doing so, scoffing about the two turning into layabouts, but turning into a jog to keep James in sight as he took a left. He finally caught up to him as he was bouncing in place and reading the plaque of a reindeer. "Look, look it Wormie! My distant cousins!"

"Prongs, you know just because you can turn into one doesn't mean-"

"Shhh! Don't spoil my fun, think I can get in there with them? Bet I can be king of the herd!"

"James, I really wouldn't recommend-"

He was being ignored, he'd already slipped under the wooden boards and was standing in the space in between, fingers pressed into the mesh gate, eyeing the top as if he could gauge how far the jump was. "Wonder why they only have males in there," he said absently as he tried to fit a trainer into the metal.

"This is one of the few species of deer where females can grow prongs to, I'm sure they're in there," Peter said in resignation as he managed to get both feet off the ground, but stayed there for a moment rather than lifting himself higher.

James hesitated, trying to stretch his arm up higher to get more purchase without toppling over, but couldn't get his feet in well enough to manage such a thing. "Where's Sirius?" He demanded as he wobbled dangerously, looking for more backup than Peter's silent unsupport.

"He and Moony were taking their sweet time while you ran off."

"Been noticing that a lot lately," James groused as he let himself loose and hit the ground, deciding to focus on this. Of course he could have made the climb if he wanted to...it just would have been easier if he'd had his broom.

"Yeah," Peter agreed, keeping the bitterness entirely out of his voice as James acknowledged this as well.

"Probably just catching each other up on every mundane detail Pads missed the past month," James sighed, even as he did gaze back curiously.

"Wasn't much to miss," Peter reminded.

James ignored this, no need to go back and reminisce how quiet their life had somehow gotten with one of their numbers not on speaking terms, so grabbed hold of Peter and began towing him further on. "Oh well, they'll catch up. I saw an exhibit for meerkats isn't far off, let's go see your cousins Pete!"

"I think this place got the sign for this one wrong," Frank told Alice as he inspected the odd creature before him. "That's clearly some kind of zebra."

"Says here an Okapi is a subspecies of giraffes and zebras," Alice agreed. Shrugging at how odd Muggels were for their many sciences, especially in naming creatures. The two moved on, stopping with increasing frequency and more than happy to have Lily around whenever they ran across something odd, like a cart full of bobble-heads.

She seemed to be in a radiant mood, having tied her hair up and was all but skipping ahead of them and only rounded back when they called out a question to her. When curiosity had gotten the better of her and Alice had finally asked why, she'd just smiled and admitted, "the peace and quiet is nice."

It was true they hadn't heard a word of the book yet, which was rather odd, and they wondered if distance had finally pulled the magic too far and they didn't even know if the Marauders were continuing the story somewhere else. Only Frank seemed disappointed in this prospect, the mystery of that monster at Hogwarts still on his mind, they could be missing clues. He was having far too much fun though to really offer the complaint, and didn't dare suggest actually hunting the lot down, bringing the girls moods with this.

"Let's go find the birdhouse," Lily suggested, her eyes sparkling with excitement. They spotted a huge dome like structure in the distance which must have been what caught her eye and easily kept pace with her as she kept up a happy babble. Alice suddenly realized this was really the most she'd heard her talk since this began. "I love birds, did you know their bones are hollow, but still incredibly strong. You can't just snap them in half like a chicken bone."

"Do you own an owl?" Frank asked kindly, but to his surprise the smile dropped from her face.

"No, ah, my parents won't allow it." Her answer sounded very diplomatic, but Frank still regretted asking, having brought her mood back so low.

"My sister, really," she tacked on defensively, her tone edging harder every word now. "She, err, I've asked, but she hates animals, and my parents, err, I mean I have to respect her wishes too."

"Must be hard having siblings," Alice offered.

"Yeah," she agreed, her hand trailing up to catch strands of her hair now and playing with it, walking along at a much calmer pace so to stay even with them now. "She, ah, doesn't like that I can do magic but she can't. It's, been hard to talk to her lately. Last time we really did was our last trip to the zoo, first summer back from Hogwarts. It's like she forgot where I'd been gone all year, and we just talked and had fun all day. Even though she took no interest in the animals, we played games watching Muggles pass by and mum and dad let us even go off ahead of them a bit to show they trusted us being bigger. Then we went to the birdhouse, and I saw the most beautiful owl in there! I started telling her about all the ones at school, and -" She stopped there, both in speech and walking, staying frozen on the spot in front of a cart advertising plushies for all sorts of critters to see in this zoo.

Then she blinked as if coming back to reality and gave them a very guilty look. "Sorry, looks like I'm always putting my foot in my mouth no matter the company. I'll just let you two-"

"Don't be silly," Alice said at once, reaching out and taking her hand with the best smile she could offer. "As if we're going to let you off on your own after spilling your guts like that. Your sister's a twat for not wanting to hear about your life, but we'd love to."

Frank gave an encouraging smile as well, thinking the poor girl needed some fun in her life. Between such a home life and someone like Snape for a friend, she probably didn't get much. "We don't have to go to the bird house, how about we find the food court?"

"No, I want to," she insisted, her eyes lighting with some spark again. "I really did love the place, it's so exotic and probably as close as I'll ever get to seeing the rain forest. Err, it's also on the way to the restaurants," she offered herself.

"Sounds perfect," Alice agreed, now the one dragging both of them along.

Remus and Sirius were unintentionally taking turns watching each other. It was a miracle they'd managed to keep their school bags on them all this time, but when Sirius realized he had, he'd slipped the book into it without a second glance yet, and that had been almost an hour ago now. Finally he could just enjoy some time out, and some alone time with Remus.

The two had already stopped and had a good snog once already, before the sound of something had drawn their startled attention. It didn't sound particularly threatening, and in fact it turned out to be a lion attempting to mimic a roar, though it more sounded like a giant cat hacking up a hairball. Remus had dragged Sirius over and began mocking the beast, and the proud cat actually responded in kind. Sirius nearly fell to the ground laughing as the two kept 'roaring' at each other for a good few minutes.

Then the two had taken off to actually find their mates, looking first in the gorilla house where they'd expected to find them. They did indeed spot the apes, but in the very back hiding in the shaded trees and various equipment they had available to play in. Then they'd been sidetracked at where the warthogs were rummaging about, Sirius being genuinely amazed how tough they looked compared to the bacon he was craving.

Remus had to drag Sirius away from the anteater, while Padfoot still insisted he wanted a closer look at such an odd creature and surely it wouldn't run if he turned into a friendlier dog. They had another good pass at each other before they realized they had an audience in front of the lemurs, and still red faced and fixing their clothes from that, they finally stumbled across their friends gazing at some naked mole-rats.

"There you two are, we been looking all over!" James called in excitement.

"What's with you two, you look all hot and bothered," Peter agreed. There was an odd look in his eye as he saw the pair and then looked back at James, but both ignored him and the question.

"Probably walked right past each other in a place this size," Sirius said off hand. "Let's go find that place Harry mentioned, where we can get some ice cream around here."

They all stopped and had some fun in front of the tigers, each bidding how far they could get in before the big cat realized they were there. Peter insisted he'd make it the farthest, without becoming a meal. Then they came across a bear enclosure, two huge beasts tossing each other about inside. It seemed in good fun, for the animals.

"Come on, we run around with a werewolf once a month, I'll bet I can take them!" James insisted, now more than willing to levitate himself into the enclosure and give it a go.

"Prongs, you are literally something they'd have a joy eating," Peter tried to protest.

"Not if he has backup!" Sirius insisted, bouncing on his heels in preparation.

"You two idiots are going to be murdered and then we're going to be zapped around with corpses," Remus pleasantly informed them. "Please, let's go have some lunch, and then we can come back," he quickly pacified.

They were still happily bickering about it when they found a good sized restaurant and went into the cool air with gratitude, raiding the kitchens for the sweet treats and each making their own scoop before Sirius finally took a grateful seat at a table and digging into the bag for the book.

"So you weren't reading that this whole time?" Peter asked with interest.

"Nah," Remus shrugged, "was just having some jollies about the place like you two."

"I'd been wondering if we'd just get yanked out of here before we'd find you two," James rolled his eyes.

Sirius ignored him too as he finally got started reading the chapter title.

"Glory Black, we could hear you outside, can you yell that any louder," Smith said as she poked her head inside, her face flushed from heat as well but looking almost grateful to have found them.

"You just getting started on that?" Longbottom asked as he came inside as well along with Evans, all three clutching stuffed parrots.

"Yep, glad you could join us," James smiled and very obviously moved himself over to make room for them, her, nearly pushing Peter out of his seat in the process.

Peter scowled and shoved him back just as hard, James nearly face planting his ice cream.

Ignoring the two making snipping comments at each other now, the three sat around comfortably, though not nearly as far away as they could. James still beamed at the proximity, wishing they could spend the rest of this reading adventure here, it was clearly putting Evans in a good mood, she was even smiling as Sirius started off and it didn't even dim that much as the Muggleborns in the school were described during this monster fear.

Regulus spent the entire time staring at penguins. They were funny little things, he'd instantly decided, and had been captivated at once by the flightless birds zooming through the water at such speeds. For a moment he'd even tried to see if he could run faster and been amazed the bird swam the length of it's glass before he could do any such thing. Smiling as the one he'd locked eyes on darted away, he tried to circle around and follow it, finding a nice large tree he could sit under and observe the whole area.

He was sure if a Muggle were to come along he'd be terribly scolded, he'd had to clamber over a large ridge right into the enclosure and several of the birds came up to him within reach, clicking their beaks and eyeing him for food. When he offered nothing they lost interest and began preening each other, the splash of water as the bodies leaped free of their miniature ocean the only noise he heard until Sirius finally began reading the next part of the chapter.

His voice had been so clear Regulus had startled, scattering all the webbed critters that had gone near him back into the water, but when he looked around, there was still no one in sight. Sighing and inching himself further a bit more so that his feet nearly touched the clear surface, he relaxed again and let himself enjoy the tale from a distance for once. He couldn't hear the commentary going along, to which he was grateful for. He could almost imagine it all anyways, his idiot of a brother and his friends laughing about the Potter kid causing trouble in Snape's class, Smith and Longbottom being happy about everything and chatting about the good merits of a dueling club. By the time the chapter even got to the part of Harry attending it Regulus was so relaxed he'd even slipped his shoes off and dipped his feet in the water, surprised by how pleasantly warm it was.

Hearing of Harry actively speaking Parseltongue was of great interest to him, his fascination with Potters child growing all the more as he took control of the situation and spoke the language he'd only heard rumor the Dark Lord could as well. Knowing the child could and actively hearing him do it twice now was enthralling, what his family would give if he could do such a thing as well! Potter and his friends treated it like some bad thing, and Regulus just had to scoff, those kids didn't know how good their life could be if they'd just be a bit smarter, instead all three reminded him of his idiotic brother.

The idea of something happening to a ghost did get his attention, a chill sweeping through him that had nothing to do with the warm sun still beating down. He couldn't blame that Ernie fellow for thinking Harry had done it given the circumstances, but a pureblood should be smarter than that! He should realize you should always look at more options available than just blaming the obvious source, shouldn't he? He was really starting to question that, considering that Hermione friend of Potter's obviously knew better but so many purebloods didn't. Then he swallowed and looked around again, waiting for his mother or one of his friends from school to spot him having such traitorous thoughts-

He cursed and jumped straight out of the enclosure in surprise, not because Potter was going to see the headmaster, but a penguin had taken a nip at his foot, apparently under the delusion it was a snack rather than toes. He drew his wand and took aim at the pestilent bird, but lowered it at the last second as he conceded he had been asking for such a thing to be happening. Then he was pulled away altogether.

Geppy:

I really like geppy. Fun and cool and makes me smile so much. I think My Singing Monsyers is cool and I had never heard about it before I met them. They’re a sweet person and seem so genuine which I like a lot. I’ve been thinking about a gift for geppy. What sort of things I could make. I have a couple ideas but none that are amazing. Maybe a smoochle plushie? I just worry that it will turn out wonky and ugly. But Smoochle is my friend Geppy’s favorite from My Singing Monsters!!! I was also thinking maybe. A hand warmer shaped like a pigeon. Not helpful now (summer time) but in the winter they’re nice. You just microwave it and then you can keep it in your pocket and it’s warm. I loce having warm it makes me feel loved. I want geppy to feel loved, too! And also my friend geppy likes pigeons :D

Rex:

Today I made a hat for Rex so I’m not going to do. MORE. gifts. BUT. Rex created wife for us (chelldon, who is very cool wife) so maybe. DESERVES. more gifts. I think giving gifts might be part of my love language. Or maybe I just like it a lot? Anyway. Rex is really cool. He’s good at art and sometimes I worry he won’t wanna be my friend bc I look up to him a lot. He’s just so good at art and so fun to talk to and is just a really sweet guy. Like... idk. Friend pal who is easy to talk to. Like REALLY easy to talk to. My brain just disconnects and next thing I know it’s been four hours and Rex is drawing Gordon Freeman’s fat ass. Not even just silly stuff tho, serious too. We talked about like. Housing inequality. That’s a topic for adults. Kinda crazy, Yo

Kac:

Aw man Kac is so cool. When I first joined the server I was kinda intimidated because yk. Here’s this really cool older pal who likes the stuff I like but. Makes fewer typos than me. And he’s like. In school for animation (which is super cool??? Like. Going to school for art is such a dream). Kac is also like... a really chill and down to earth person a lot of the time. He’s so nice as a mod and also just like. Means a lot to me as a friend. Emotional support Kacper funny messages. Also has lots of crazy stories. I’ve been trying to figure out how to. Mail stuff internationally. SPECIFICALLY for gift for. Kacper and Bunny. I want to make cool earrings for Kac and I don’t even know why. The brain version of Kac (the Kac I imagine in my head) wears cool earrings. And like. I’m a lesbian. I can make earrings.

Wormie:

Wormwormwormworm. Wormie I also look up to a lot. Maybe it’s just good artists that I see and go hhhwaaaa? And also they’re SO funny. Like. So funny to talk to in VC and stuff??? Also their aesthetic makes me pog so hard it’s just like.... it’s like a not creepy version of kidcore I guess. Which is hard to do. Bitta circusy stuff and a bitta retro toys and none of the like. Creepy stuff. And also their name has emojis and every time they messsge I look at their name for a while. Bc it’s fun to see. I’ve been wanting to make Wormie a big worm. Shaped like a worm on a string, you know? But I think shipping would be too much. But also I have like my whole heart set on the idea. Yeah. Maybe I’ll figure it out.

He wiggles around, a little confused about everything, but his legs move weirdly, like they’re just hanging there without the baby having control over their movements. Rosa nods, gently handing her wormy over before rushing to go take care of her little Mole.
