đ The Devilâs Tongue đ
Michael Gavey x Reader (PART ONE)
summary: you transferred into Oxford after moving out from your country for a better change, and unexpectedly meeting Michael Gavey in a quiet library, leads to something more.
warnings: creepy vibes from michael gavey, reader being oblivious, stalking, michael being horny, p in v sex, loss of virginity, jealousy, misunderstandings, obsession, belt kink, panty kink, scent kink, voice kink, breeding kink, michael gavey being a smartass, michael gavey is horny for math, michael gavey is a smartass, clueless reader, nerdy yet hot michael, lust at first sight, sex in the library, sex on the table, kitchen sex, oral sex, cam girl, fingering, sex during tutoring session, reader teasing, reader being a dominatrix in bed, food porn.
a/n: i forgot to review the movie saltburn last year, so Iâll give it a short review. Saltburn is a weird movie, but i watched it because of Ewan Mitchell. While ewan mitchell is 10/10, saltburn is 7/10, because of the bathtub scene and the grave scene. the only thing thatâs good is the cinematography, music and ewan mitchell. i wish thereâs more scenes from him. yes, i keep saying his name! heâs so fucking hot as a nerd. this one shot will be long.
You like cherries.
Thereâs something mysterious and tempting about the roundish and reddish fruits. Cherries are sweet, and itâs dark-reddish color brought an appeal to your appetite and. Appeal that also changes your view in fashion.
And as hot as the Devilâs tongue.
Red symbolized lust.
Sinful, they proclaimed.
So does your pussy, when you splayed across the bed, watched as Michael entered and his face bewildered when you splayed naked in bed with thick whip cream smothered on your tits, waist, and your pussy decorated in whip cream swirled with cherry on top.
"Hi, baby. I've been waiting for you," you said as your legs spread, thick of whip cream and candied cherry cascaded slowly.
***
A Year AgoâŠ
Your parents and your attention seeking relatives are no good. Red is as sin as lustâthe devilâs skin, the devilâs horn.
Other than black and pink, you like the dark-cherry color. All your aesthetics are cherry redâwell, the undertones to match your little room at your small house belongs to your parents.
Them and their sinless views of the world has sickened to your stomach. You donât want to be like your hypocritical, martyr parents for the rest of your life, so you applied for the university at Oxford and Northamptonshire. You got accepted to the university. Despite being a young woman, you managed to prove them wrong.
And sever ties with them to go at the University of Oxford, where you encounter numerous people. Youâve done research to get things rightânot to be frigid or superficially pretentious; you didnât want to embarrass yourself on the spot if you chose to be ignorant.
One thing that no one else knows of you, is that you moonlight as a dominatrix on a live stream. Every night, you broadcast online to pleasure yourselfâthatâs how you got money to bail from a strict and hypocritical religious household.
Few of the students looked at your direction, giving a side-eye. You overheard them calling you a prostitute, but you couldnât care less. Dress to impress for yourself. You mostly wore bike leather jacket, a tank top, mini skirt and a chunky dark-cherry red boots with light make up, but the lipstick is glossy dark redâand not the irritable, sticky kind.
Your long locks tossed at the side, already at your assigned room, but you shut the windows completely. You donât want to reveal the private side of your internet sensation. After closing the curtains, youâre off to the hall, where people gathered and talk, mainly about drama and parties.
You hadnât known one. But you had party to yourself of gaining source of income from self-pleasure.
There you sat down, and overheard someone at your left. Afar, you saw a young man named Oliver Quick and another guy with nerdy glasses.
Michael Gavey.
âFuckinâ ask me a sum then!â The chatter dimmed when a young man shouted about math.
No one really likes as the guy with the nerdy glasses does. But he does look cute when heâs fuming.
Maybe heâs sexually frustrated. All it needs is I need to work on a poor guy. Poor guy is so frustratedâa no man island himself, like Oliver Quick.
You could tell. So you chimed in.
âWhatâs the square root of 69â
Both boys turned to look at you.
âIâm sorry, who are you?â Oliver inquired, perplexed.
âOh, just a curious person asking him a question,â you said, jerking your head towards the blond and cutely frustrated boy.
â8.30662386292,â is all the blond uttered.
Your lips tugged into a smirk, and left.
Interesting, now I have a new kink to look forward to for my next kinky session.
***
Itâs quite luxurious for a libraryâgrand yet old like wines in the cellar. You studied Political Science and Art, and while you studied and sometimes drawing, but a certain snack bar caught your eye; it was placed above your drawing.
âI got you a crunchie,â a voice said. You turned and saw Michael Gavey.
âOh, um, thanks?â
âI have never seen you before,â he noted.
âReally? So do I.â
âAs a matter of fact, you have disrupted us during our friendly conversation.â
Oliver Quick was anything but friendly and comfortable.
âOkay and?â
He quirked a brow. âYour attitude is unusual.â
âWell, where I came from, itâs not really an issue. Iâm a straight forward kind of gal,â you explained.
Michael hummed, staring at you.
âPardon my rudeness. Iâm Michael Gavey.â His hand stretched out. âI never get your name.
âIâm (Y/N) (L/N).â You offered a handshake in return.
âWhere are you from?â
âIâm from America.â
âAh, yes. The land of freedom,â he commented, trying to make you laugh.
You laughed awkwardly. You have never smiled or laughed beforeâin a non-superficial way. You laughed and smiled during as a cam girl, but other than that, you never smile genuinely.
Somehow it caught his eye. His glasses beamed that you could see the color of his hues.
âAn awkward foreign girl.â
âYeah, so? Iâm not really a people-person.â
âWhy did you come here, then? For a good fuck?â
Ghastly, you turned around to see if anyone catches his words, but nobody pays attention.
âAre you going to the party?â
âWhat party?â
âThe party Felix and his friends are heading tonight.â
âWho the hell is Felix?â
Michael darted his eyes behind you, and followed the sign; Felix and Farleigh sat at the back between the shelves.
âApparently, heâs hosting a party tonight. NFI, me and you. Not Fucking Invited.â
âWell, I donât a fuck about parties that much.â
Michael tsked. âThatâs a very strong language.â
âSays the guy who says NFI. Besides, I donât like parties,â you said, and it wasnât a half lie. You have an upcoming camgirl session tonight.
âA shame,â Michael said, then reaching for the crunchie.
You have never tried snacks from another culture.
âIs it good?â you asked him.
He ripped the snack bar open, and gave you a piece. âTry it and see for yourself.â
And you did.
It was worth it.
Nevermind how Michael watched you in fascination.
***
The roofs and walls of University has been but a sham; it was real quiet.
Too quiet.
You hated quiet rooms.
In your next session, your fingers swirled your swollen clit, thinking of Michael Gaveyâs rosy lips and tongue licking and nibbling your wet cunt and a tight hole.
You never fucked anybody, but you wanted your first time to be special. You rode on a dildo, trying not to moan so loud, but you come down high. The faster you moved, the more erotic images of a nerdy Michael seeping into you.
This is my kind of party.
***
Somewhere, in a darkened room, Michael Gaveyâs hand filled with cum, and his other hand pressed the send button on his computer screen.
It was sensational to see.
You.
Who wouldâve thought he met youâa famous camgirl.
He couldnât stop thinking about how your eyes twinkled when you ate crunchie for the first timeâfar from the horniness and snobbish act you put up in public. It was a delight to see . With your outstanding getup and attitude, he knew that heâs in a right place.

Chapter 1/?
As you walked through the streets of YorkNew City you felt gusts of wind push past you so strongly that they nearly knocked you over. It was already miserable to be outside, and it was only October. The sky was growing dark, the city growing brighter. Fall decorations adorned the buildings you passed. The Southernpiece Auction House looked the most magnificent of them allâ with bright colored lights trailing the pathway and walls.
No time to wonder at your surroundings, you thought. You would have four more years to gawk at the city. You pulled your scarf tighter around you as you walked faster. Although you looked cute in your tights, it was definitely not the appropriate clothing choice for this weather.
Your decision to go to YNU seemed perfect in every way. It was one of the top schools in YorkNew and was in the heart of the city. Unfortunately, you failed to realize that the wind would be whipping for three-quarters of the year.
While it wasnât the biggest âparty school,â there was a single big party in October held by one of the fraternities. That party was the one you happened to be heading to right now. Everyone knew of it and talked about it non-stop. You were reluctant to attend. You hadnât had many real party experiences at high school. For the most part, they consisted of sitting around drinking cheap beer while your classmates humiliated themselves. Your friends had high hopes for this one, though.
For one, it appeared to be in the penthouse of a high-rise building. You checked your phone to see if the location matched the one on your map. This wasnât the frat house you had been expecting. Although your and the systemâs arrows matched, you really couldnât trust your directional skills, anyway.
Your hands were near frozen, but you managed to press the call button on your friendsâ contact.
âHey Canary?â you donât hear her reply as music floods through your phone speaker. Seconds later, it becomes quieter, signaling she moved into another room.
âHey, itâs absolutely crazy up here, sorry.â
You ask her about the address, and she confirms it. She tells you her location at the party so you can find her later. She hangs up before you can say bye or express more of your listless anxieties. Why were you so worried? You had Canary and Amane and⊠well, you didnât know many others. And of course Canary and Amane would be all over each other so really you had no one. That was a valid source of anxiety, was it not?
Either way, you needed to step into the building to escape the cold. Perhaps after you warmed up you could make your escape. I knew this was a bad idea.
The entryway was already magnificent, with tall arches and marble floors. A fire blazed near a seating area on the opposite wall. You rushed over to find it unoccupied, thank goodness. You sat as close as safely possible and felt the warmth creep back into your body.
Your head cleared a bit, thoughts straightening out into coherency. You were at your first party. Your friends were all up there already, so you wouldnât need to wait for them awkwardly. Everything would go smoothly as long asâ
Just then, a group of around six people entered the hall. You couldnât help but stare. One was over six feet tall, another shorter than five. And some were unbelievably gorgeous. One of them particularly caught your eye. He was wearing all black, styled in an expensive coat and dress shirt. His hair was black as well, hanging loose around his pale face. Dark eyes looked towards a man at his right. He walked with such an intimidating stride that you nearly hid behind the sofa. Luckily, they didnât appear to be heading in your direction.
They probably were all college students, why else would they be dressed up at a random apartment on this specific day? The thought sent butterflies to your stomach. If the group really was full of college students, maybe you should be going to that party.
Not to gawk at them or anything. Based on their looks, you could tell that they were the rich YorkNew city elite-type students, not the federal loan international-type student as you were. In other words, they had power and you did not. It was best to avoid these types of people. You knew that much just from living in the city for a couple of months.
The group was still waiting outside of the elevators. You made possibly the stupidest decision that you couldâve at that moment. You rose from your seat and flattened your hair. You then proceeded to trot right over to the elevator, behind the group. You had to go upstairs somehow, and reaching the top floor through the stairs didnât seem like the ideal choice.
Clearly still distracted by the image of that manâs face that was now tattoed onto your brain, you didnât even notice when the elevator doors opened. A voice sounded from inside that snapped you out of your daydream.
âThereâs enough room if you want to come inâŠâ it was the same man that you noticed from before.
An amused expression shone on his faceâ it was as if he was trying to hide a smirk. He placed his hand on the elevator door so it wouldnât close. You noticed thick silver rings on a couple of his fingers. It was clear from his appearance that he was wealthy. Not to mention, his mannerisms had an undertone of superiority. Despite yourself, this only enticed you more. Who was this man?
Apparently, you were about to find out.
A blush rose on your face as you quickly gave him your thanks and scrambled inside the elevator. He stood directly next to you, with his friends on the sides. The sudden closeness made your stomach flip.
âWhat floor?â he asked, hand hovering above the numbers on the elevator wall.
You checked the keypad although you already knew that you would all be headed to the same place.
You tried not to look at him as you responded. âSame as you.â
âOh,â he replied simply.
The rest of the ride was accompanied by a rising tension. The girls behind you made the only conversation, talking in low voices to one another. You were grateful when the elevator finally stopped on the top floor. You quickly walked out and made your way to anywhere but where that group was. On a second glance, you could see that the rest of them also had that air of wealth and superiority that the man had. That was definitely not the crowd you wanted to get acquainted with tonight.
Besides the music thumping through the walls and people waiting around the entrance, the hall outside of the elevator looked like it could be in any other apartment building. There was a large rack full of coats and hangers to your right. As you walked through the long hall you took off your coat and scarf, happy to get rid of the bulky clothes.
Going into the party was still nerve-wracking, but your outfit gave you a bit of courage. You chose a black silk minidress that accentuated your curves perfectly. You wore fishnet tights and combat boots to complete the look. You did your makeup to near perfection, with a bold red lip and your signature eyeliner. Needless to say, you were feeling good.
You almost forgot that the group that was still in the hall until you felt their eyes bearing into you. In your peripheral vision, you saw them take off their coats just as you finished hanging yours. Without another moment of hesitation, you walked quickly to the door.
The music grew louder and you grew slightly nauseous. This night has already been far too much. Is it really the best idea to continue on? It was too late to turn back, as you would be turning to face those who you wished to avoid.
So, you opened the door. You were immediately flooded with lights and sounds and people. The interior was huge. You guessed that this single apartment took up the majority of the floor, and apparently the one above it too. A staircase on the right side led to a balcony overlooking the main room. Couches and furniture lined the walls, pushed away to form a space in the middle. From what you could see, the entire back wall consisted of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city below. If you hadnât felt so dizzy, you wouldâve noticed that the room stunning and grand, unlike any you have seen before.
Students were everywhere, crowding on the couches and the dance floor. You couldnât make out many faces as the neon lights were dim. You guessed that there were at least seventy people in this room alone.
The music thumped in your bones. You tried to focus on the lines of the song playing instead of your rising panic. âOh god can you make my heart stop⊠killshot baby.â
After assessing your surroundings, you made a quick beeline to the kitchen, where Canary said she would be when you called her earlier. The walk was only quick in theory. It took you around five minutes to make your way across the room. It wasnât the most pleasant experience, weaving through drunk bodies dancing with fervor. You smelt the sweet smell of vape smoke mixed in with the sweat. Heads turned to look at you but you did not look back. Nothing interested you more than finding your friends. Meeting other people could come after you were settled.
You bitterly realized that it had been a bad idea not to come with Canary and Amane an hour earlier. You thought as little time as possible spent there would be ideal, as it was your first time at a college party. Little did you know that arriving late would mean a frantic search for your friends amidst the chaos.
At last, you came upon an opening in the wall that seemed to lead to the kitchen. There were neon lights in there as well, lining the counters and cabinets. White marble countertops glinted underneath bottles of alcohol.
There were significantly fewer people crowded into this tiny space. About fifteen people stood around, drinking and talking with one another over the music. Without thinking, you grab a bottle of beer as you pass by the counter on your way to the other side of the room. There was an empty corner that was calling your name. From there you could observe the faces of the people around you. And possibly get a bit drunk while you were at it. You figured it was the only way you could survive the rest of the night.
As you scanned the faces your heart sank. You didnât see your friends anywhere. Maybe they already moved to the dancefloor. You take another swig of the beer and pull out your phone.
The dial tone for Canary sounded just as you spotted a familiar face. He was leaning against the wall on the other side of the room with his arms crossed, talking to an attractive red-haired man standing next to him. Your mind was slowly growing hazier, but that didnât mean you forgot about the man from before.
You quickly averted your eyes. Canary didnât pick up your call so you decided to text her. All the while you felt your heart begin to thrum. Did that man intimidate you? Or was it just because you thought he was incredibly hot?
You couldnât say for sure, as you have never felt this way about a person before. He looked older than you, a graduate student perhaps. Anyway, he was far out of your reach in terms of people you could talk to. So, you decided right there and then to stop thinking about him.
You wait a few more minutes for Canaryâs response. She doesnât reply to your text. You grit your teeth and pick up another bottle of beer from the counter. Unfortunately, the bottle opener was nowhere to be seen. Just my luck, you thought. Rather than going without the beer, you pulled out your keys and tried to pry the lid off with your sheer force. But your hand kept slipping and you were beginning to feel a bit embarrassed. You cursed yourself under your breath and looked around to see if anyone noticed your clumsiness.
Accidentally peering towards the wall where the man was before, you notice that he was no longer there. You didnât know why you cared so much about the opinion of a stranger.
You were about to put the bottle down when you sensed someone next to you. A voice that smelt of whisky and cigarettes spoke, âNeed some help there?â
You retracted at the sound and sensation until you noticed who spoke. It was him. You froze, unsure of what to do next. Slowly, your eyes trailed up to his face.
You tried not to stare as you took him in full, now that you were finally face to face. The low neon lights highlighted his strong nose and sharp jawline. His black hair was messily swept from his face, displaying a cross tattoo on his forehead that you hadnât noticed before. He wore small silver hoops in both ears. Shadows formed across his deep-set eyes as he regarded you, emotionless and still.
He asked you again, pointing to the unopened bottle, âThe beer?â
You gave him a nervous laugh, âOh, yes. I donât know where the bottle opener wentâŠâ
He still stood unusually close to you. Obviously, it was only so that you could hear him better over the loud music. Still, it made your heart flutter. You averted your eyes from his only to see the sleeves of his black dress shirt rolled up, displaying strong arms and hands.
You tried to tell yourself that he was just being nice. And you were making a fool of yourself, just as you were before at the elevator. You knew you had no chance with him, even though a party was a more relaxed environment than most. He would want nothing to do with you after he helped you again. These intimidating upperclassmen were the same.
The man said nothing as he placed the edge of the bottle on the counter, with the cap at the edge. Those beautiful, white marble countertops. Surely he isnât going toâŠ
With a slam of his palm, the cap came clear off.
âHere,â he said simply.
Why, you wondered, was that so attractive. You couldnât possibly be getting turned on by the opening of a bottle. Maybe it was only due to the way he did it, displaying his strength so boldly.
He noticed your expression and laughed lightly. âItâs fine, I own the place.â
You couldnât hide your surprise at his statement. If he was a graduate student, how could he possibly be making enough for this entire place? And you were told it was a frat house, not a single apartment?
A little bit of talking wouldnât hurt, no matter his status. So you decide to allow the questions to flow. Perhaps the beer was finally loosening your lips and easing your anxiety. You really shouldâve been searching for your friends, but it seemed that your body thought differently. Something about the man drew you in. Whether it was his flawless appearance or genuine kindness towards you, you werenât sure.
âYou own this place?â you questioned, leaning a hip on the counter with your beer in hand.
He gave you a small smile, clearly trying to appear humble. âYes.â
All you managed to say was, âHow?â
Was it genuine interest in his face that you saw? Or was he simply happy to boast about his tremendous earnings?
âMy company. The dealings bring in solid money, so I decided to purchase this place.â He waved a hand, gesturing towards the general direction of his massive living area.
âYour company? Do you go to YNU?â
He couldnât be that old to have established his own company. And if he was, surely you wouldâve heard about it, as he would be famous. Perhaps he was like many of the other kids at this school, enjoying a trust fund to their name and claiming it all to be their sheer success.
He grabbed a beer from the table and opened it the same way as he did before. He seemed to almost be growing bored of the conversation, needing to drink to distract himself. He became more distant as the small talk continued.
âYes. Iâm in the first year of my graduate program. And you?â
God, those eyes. It was hard to maintain eye contact with him for too long. It felt as if he was simultaneously calculating you as if you were a complex math problem while trying to appear as emotionless as possible.
He was the one who needed calculating. His appearance was already bizarre, with the cross tattoo displayed so boldly on his forehead. But the fact that he was only in his first year of graduate school and already running his own company was too much to comprehend. All you wished for was to know more about this strangely alluring man.
You were about to reply when you heard your name being called from the crowd in the large room. Giggles followed the shout.
Canary and Amane were thrust out of the mass of bodies in the living area. Canary wore a minidress and Amane wore a dress shirt and pants, now significantly disheveled. They were smiling like mad.
Your heart jumped at the sight of them. Finally, you were safe. That was your immediate thought until you saw the stumble in their walks. They were drunk.
Canary slurred your name again. âWeâve missed you! Where were you?â
âI was here in the kitchen, where you told me to wait. Remember?â
Canary and Amane simply gave each other a knowing look and giggled. You had almost forgotten the man who still stood behind you.
âWeâll leave you to it then,â Amane said, making it obvious that she was referencing him.
They were about to leave when you called out. âWait!â
It wasnât that you werenât absolutely entranced by the man and wouldnât give everything to talk to him for even one more minute, it was just that your friends needed you.
You turned to see the man now farther down the counter, talking to the red-haired man again. He noticed your apologetic look and walked towards you.
âSorry I have toââ
Your sentence trails off as he looks down on you with a slight smile, arms crossed. You almost want to take a step back, his look too penetrating and revealing.
âWhat is your name?â
You widened your eyes. He wants to know your name. What were you supposed to make of that?
You give him your name.
âIâm Chrollo,â he replies, sticking his hand out for you to shake as if you were making a business deal. You try to hide your laugh.
He simply smirks back at you as you take his hand. The cold metal of his rings contrasted with the warmth the both of you were emitting. The front of his hand was smooth, with light veins running towards his knuckles. A sign of strength. Moreover, his palm rough. His grip was firm and confident as if he had something he wanted to convey with this handshake. What that was, though, you couldnât be sure.
You felt a tap on your soldier and knew it was time to go with your friends. You just couldnât manage to turn away. You already began to think, what if I never see him again? What if he doesnât want to see me again anyway?
âNice to meet you, Chrollo,â you said before finally turning your back. You felt his eyes bearing into your back as you left. At least, you hoped it was your back. You werenât used to the tightness of your dressesâ material and the looks that coupled it.
You silently praise yourself for your unusual boldness toward Chrollo. Maybe you were bold enough to make an impression. An impression was really all you could hope for, at this point. That man was impossible to read.
Before you left the kitchen, Amane held out a small cup for you containing a clear liquid. You hardly hear what she says it is before you knock it back. The taste burns your throat. You figured you would need whatever it was before heading out to the dance floor. Amane and Canary do the same as you (as if they needed it, as drunk as they were).
As Canary grabbed your hand, Chrolloâs name echoed in your mind. Where have you heard it before? You probably could remember if you hadnât drunk that last shot.
âWho the fuck was that?!â Amane nearly screamed into your ear. You were nearing the main dance floor. The sound was deafening and you felt the thump of music in your bones.
âChrollo. He owns this place, apparently,â your voice gets lost in the noise.
âWHAT?â Canary yells. You were deep into the mass of people so talking was virtually impossible. There was space to move once you reached the center. It was far enough from the speakers that you could hear fragments of speech from the other people beside you. The sound still bounced off of the tall ceilings, echoing through the large room.
A new song started to play and you began to dance. You, Canary, and Amane danced stupidly, movements sluggish yet wild from the alcohol. It was the most fun you had in a long while. Maybe going to the party wasnât such a bad idea after all. At that point, the anxiety all but left your body.
After a couple more songs, you decided to try to find your way out of the crowd to take a break. Your body ached with all the movement and sensation. Amane and Canary remained on the floor, although they insisted on following you. It was a slower song, anyway. You couldnât be caught on the floor with no partner.
At last, after much shoving, you found a wall you could rest against. It just happened to be the wall with the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was far less crowded here. The cold glass felt incredible after the mass of sweat that was the dance floor.
The city lights reflected in the glass
You were close enough to the kitchen to peer through the entrance. When you did so, you couldnât see Chrollo or his friend. Rather, they were talking to one another next to the kitchen, along the plane of windows.
Suddenly, the glass didnât feel so cold anymore. You began to heat up just at the sight of him. It was too late by the time you looked away, they had noticed your gaze. Chrollo caught your eyes and your heart skipped a beat. But it wasnât Chrollo who came over to you. It was his friend. You looked towards the red-haired man with apprehension. This wasnât middle school, was it? Was Chrollo getting his friend to act as their in-between? No , you told yourself. This sly-looking man is clearly here for something else.
âHello there,â he said in a sultry tone. He leaned against the window just as you did the same.
His red hair hung loosely around his yellow eyes. He wore a loose dark purple dress shirt and black pants.
Your patience was running out. âWho are you?â And why are you not Chrollo?
âHisoka. And you must be y/n, right?â
Your eyebrows rose as you nodded. Had Chrollo already mentioned you to Hisoka? What made you worth mentioning? Well, apparently you were about to find out.
âI was wondering, dear, would you dance with me?â
That was unexpected. You turned to face him to observe his expression and the one of the man behind him. Chrolloâs face was bank but his eyes looked stormy as if to issue a warning to Hisoka. Something in Chrolloâs look made you want to accept Hisokaâs offer, just to see his reaction. The slight changes in his expression were endlessly entertaining. If doing something as reckless as dancing with a man you had just met would warrant a change, you would happily oblige.
Hisokaâs smirk vanished as you replied, âSure.â
Now it was your turn to look smug. Chrolloâs eyes widened slightly but he still remained silent, several feet away with his back against the window. If Hisoka was anyone else, say a person who didnât radiate his dangerously sexual appetite, perhaps Chrollo wouldâve been less surprised.
Although you assuredly gave him your answer, you knew you couldnât trust this man. His sly expression persisted as he snaked a slender hand across your waist. You didnât turn to see Chrolloâs expression but you could feel a pair of eyes on your back as you walked away. How unfair it was, that Chrollo always got the last look.
Hisoka led you to an opening on the dance floor that was situated near the staircase. He immediately pulled you to his chest. You gasped at the sudden closeness. You felt his torso with your own, his hardened with muscle. He moved his hands tighter against your waist and you nearly melted into the touch.
You were drunk. He wasnât who you wanted. But you could easily pretend he was.
You tried to peer back to the spot where Chrollo was standing. It was far too dense and dark to make out any faces besides the one of the man before you.
He wasnât Chrollo, but he was unquestionably attractive. His sharp features were riddled with confidence. He carried himself as a king would, so self-assured that he was borderline unaware.
The slow song had since ended and a faster one began to sound. You began to feel the rhythm and danced along, Hisoka pulling you closer all the while. Although you were significantly intimidated by Hisoka, it was still fun. You couldnât tell if either of you was dancing well or making a fool of yourselves. All you knew was sound, movement, and the touch of his body to yours.
After another song or two suddenly Hisoka pulled apart. He wore a malicious expression.
âI have to go,â he said, simply.
He didnât give you a chance to reply. He waltzed up the stairs to the balcony that you were dancing near. You trailed your eyes to where he stood, hands on the railing talking to the person beside him. It was the blond woman you saw earlier, the one who was with Chrolloâs groupâŠ
And next to her was Chrollo. He was holding onto the railing for dear life as if he would fall to his death if he let go. A fear of heights? No, you didnât think so. Based on his facial expression, he looked almost bitter. You didnât deem that possible based on his mild mannerism so far. And what reason would he have to be angry?
An idea sparked in your mind. A stupid one, undoubtedly. But Chrollo and his group were far too interesting to ignore for the rest of the night.
It was probably too dark for them to see you amongst the crowd, but you crouched as you moved away anyway. You sensed the tension in their conversation all the way from the floor below. You would wait until Chrollo cooled off a bit and then make your move.
You head back to the kitchen to have another drink. You go for something stronger, a shot of a pale liquid that you didnât know the name of. Or rather, you were too distracted to care.
You made the perilous journey back to the balcony, dodging limbs and drunken stupors. It was nearing midnight at this point and the crowd was sufficiently rowdy. You think you spot Canary dancing near the back wall, but you couldnât be sure. You will let her have her own fun tonight since you already found yours.
From below, you could see that Chrollo, Hisoka, and the woman were still leaning against the balcony railing. As you dizzily mounted the steps, you realized that Chrollo looked as perfect and intact as when you first saw him, all those hours ago. He mustâve not danced the whole night, even though it was his own party. How strange. Well, you were about to try and change that.
âHey,â you said as you waltzed up to Chrollo. There was a bit of a stumble in your step so you quickly made use of the railing.
Chrollo no longer had a death-grip on the bar. He looked at you with a blank face.
âHello,â he replied.
His friends glared at you so hard that you nearly turned back around. You seem to have interrupted an important conversation.
You lazily move closer to Chrollo and speak under your breath, so that his friends donât hear, âWant to dance?â

Watermelon-flavored popsicle
Pairing: Xingqiu x g/n!reader, mention of Chongyun
Warning: light swearing, kissing, a lot of grammatically errors.
Word count: 3404
Summary:Â A coincident meeting between you and Xingqiu on Yaoguang Shoal might have changed your relationship.
A/N: Here is my come back for summer. This piece has been in my folder for so long but I just donât want to check the errors and proofread. Luckily, I have found my motivation (no more wifi) and here is the piece. This one is inspired by imagination if I can go to the beach ( I hate corona).I hope you have fun reading this oneshot (and feel my desperation to enjoy the sunny beach) Next up will be Kazuha, I think :D. Please send Xingqiu a lot of love~~ (â€ÂŽèžïœâ€)

Summer in Liyue has always been sweltering, burning, and unbreathable. The sun stands proudly in the middle of clear azure sky, not a single cloud dare to tread near the glowing king, blocking the beam of lights shine down the city.Â
Today is also another day of undesirable temperature. Even when the city is a harbor, the cool breezes from the sea canât calm down the rising heat from the road, nor the glowing businesses or the flock of people going to the market. Living in the city for 5 years, you know not to tread near the market during working hours, so you decide to go somewhere quiet, relaxing and enjoyable.Â
Yaoguang Shoal.   Â
Normally, you would have gone to a teahouse or a bookstore to escape the hot weather, but today, those areas are swamp with people. You might have a brief idea of why they would be so crowded in there. It can only be Yunjin performance, or the teahouse is having a giveaway.  Â
As much as you love to enjoy her breathtaking performance and intriguing stories, you wouldnât risk getting trampled by those people. Maybe another day, when people arenât packing inside the teahouse.Â
As soon as you arrive at the shore, the thick scent of salt waffles around the tip of your nose, sounds of waves calmly splashing against the coast. Slowly, you remove your shoes and sink your feet down the fever-like golden sand, heading toward the white bubbles splashing waves.Â
You should have brought a flip-flop instead of shoes.Â
At the burning sensation on the sole of your feet, you start sprinting toward the nearby small patches of grass hiding under a gigantic shade, hoping to save your sensitive skins.Â
As soon as you jump on the lump of grass, you canât help letting out a painful hiss, jumping like a grasshopper on the surface. This place isnât very far from the water, maybe you can put on an umbrella here and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Â
Afar, you can see a few white cranes enjoying the cold water while looking for fishes, bathing under the scorching heat. Propping yourself on your knee, you sit down and enjoy the feeling of wind combing through your messy dark locks. From here, the sound of splashing water on the sand, the soothing sensation of a peaceful summer gently sinks down your skin. Â
Youâre lucky to find a shade in the middle of a shore, under the scorching sun glaring holes on your head. Unlike the harbor, Yaoguang shoal is much more breathable, the cool breeze brings the smell of sea salt dancing on your skin, slowly imbued your silky dark lock with the distinctive scent of the ocean.Â
Letting out a lazy sigh, you leisurely drift into a slumber, opting for a relaxing nap while enjoying the sound of nature.Â
How great is it to not have someone disturb you?Â
âY/N?âÂ
Maybe you speak too soon.Â
Furrow your brows, you slowly open your eyes, annoyed by the sudden intrusion. The bright light clearly wants to pierce your eyes, but the figure moves closer and blocks the over-enthusiastic sun out of your gaze. You slowly sit up, squinting hard at the dark figure.Â
âXingqiu?â Â Widen your eyes at the familiar shade of blue, you look at him quizzically. âWhat are you doing here?â
The male lets out a breathy chuckle and crouches down, letting light falls on his face. Â
âMe? The weather is nice, so Iâm strolling along the shore and enjoy the weather.âÂ
At your comical gaze drilling at his head, and the hydro user finally raises his hand in defeat. â Fine, fine. I was on my way back to the Harbor after helping the traveler with some commissions.âÂ
â The harbor is the other direction.â You dubiously point the opposite direction, a small gust of wind picking up and tousling your hair. â If youâre heading this direction, Dragonspine is where you're heading.âÂ
âWhat are you doing here?â The young man ignores your remark and changes the topic, eyes curiously wander down your lying body on the grass.Â
â Escaping the heat from the harbor.â You hum and scoot to the other side, sparing Xingqiu a space to sit. He must be drying staying that long under the sun.Â
He quickly sits down next to you, slowly peeling his boots and socks away. The area is small, forcing you to stay close to him, your shoulders almost bumping into each other. As much as you love skinship, any physical contact is overbearing in this weather. The scenery would have been more romantic if youâre sharing body heat in the bizarrely cold Starglow Cavern.
Wait⊠why did Xingqiu sit down and remove his boots? Isnât he supposed to go back to the harbor?Â
â You arenât going back to the harbor?â You tilt your head and his side profile.Â
â I was, but I change my mind.â The blue figure has his eyes on the boots, unlacing the footwear. âSitting here with you is much more breathable than cramping inside the teahouse and the bookstore.â
âŠBut you didnât agree to let him stay in the first place. Why is he still here then?Â
You just offer him a place to sit down in the shade, just because he was sweating profusely under the sun when you were talking to him. Itâs called an action out of politeness!!! He isnât supposed to take the offer and makes himself comfortable.
Great, now youâre stuck with a body heat that you desperate to get away from. Roll your eyes, you let your gaze fleet over the vast clear ocean in front of you.Â
From here, you can slightly make out an outline of Guyun Stone Forest peeking behind the thickening clouds. That majestic scenery, the infamous fight between Osial and Res Lapis, you wonder how big that fight was to create a whole island with a gigantic unique shape?  After thousands of years, you can still feel the rumbling energy threatening to break the seal of lord of Geo, yet something manages to force them down. Perhaps, there might be someone there securing the seal, holding the remaining pieces together. What would happen if that seal finally breaks again? Will the entire harbor engulfed by the anger of the lord of Vortex, or, will the new Geo archon will defend it?  Â
âA mora of your thought?â A youthful voice calls out, and you whirl your head in his direction. â You look so deep in thought.âÂ
â Ah⊠I was just thinking about the Guyun Stone Forest.â You shyly scratch your head, eyes donât meet his. You totally forgot someone is sitting next to you. Xingqiu doesnât comment, he lets his gaze drift to the Stone Forest, and the silence falls.Â
This time you donât let your eyes stray to the exalted scenery hiding away under those clouds. Instead, you observe the hydro user, who is just a few inches away. His features are soft, yet so define. The sharp eyes, the slope of his nose, and the plush lips. Under the smooth cerulean locks is his signature amber orb. You have always felt enamored under his gaze ever since you first met. That golden eyes are always filled with the determination and sharpness of a predator. You love it when the soft, bubbly Xingqiu turns sharp, or when heâs practicing his swordsmanship. Â
âTake a picture, it will last longer.â The hydro user says, his voice remains calm and unwavering, almost make you mistake for someone else. â How is my face?âÂ
â Utterly unacceptably handsome.â Propping yourself on your elbow, you stare into his deep eyes, answer honestly, try to hold your scoff.Â
Xingqiu doesnât comment on your compliment but tilts his head the other way, avoiding your hawking gaze. Obviously, he knows you like to mess with him, trying to pull a reaction out of the shameless nonchalant friend when youâre bored. How you wish he would at least give you an entertaining reaction.Â
You remember those days when Xingqiu and Chongyun are easily flustered. Nowadays, only Chongyun is still affected by your antic. How does that popsicle boy not immune to your frequent teasing is also a big mystery youâre looking for an answer to.Â
â You shouldnât say someone is handsome if you donât mean it.â After a while, the calm hydro user is back, composed, and relax. How can he be so lax in this atrocious weather, you donât want to know.Â
â But⊠youâre handsome ?âÂ
â Youâre just trying to make me fluster.â He replies, a blush slowly creeps on his cheek. You donât know why heâs trying to deny your compliment. Heâs handsome, and youâre just using that fact to turn him into a tomato. Why does it sound like heâs trying hard to convince himself his face isn't aesthetic to look at?Â
You open your mouth but close it. Speechless, you don't know how do you convince him that you honestly compliment his features, not⊠uh baiting him? Do your compliments sound like cheap-ass flirtatious attempts people usually get in a combo when they visit the tavern? Â
Your motive isnât as pure as it can be but your compliment does: honest, and authentic. How could he twist your words into something so scandalous like that? Outrageous!Â
Your lips part to speak, but something cold and hard is shoved inside, and your olfactory bulbs almost explode with flavor (and numbing cold). The feeling of fruity sweetness seeps on your tongue, with a tingle of refreshing feeling dancing on top. Glaring dagger at Xingqiu, you notice his gloating face while biting the signature blue popsicle. Did Chongyun give that to him?Â
Plug the freezing item out of your mouth, the vibrant pinkish color glowing under the sun, slowly dripping down your hand. It is a watermelon-flavored popsicle. He could have handed it to you nicely instead of almost choking you off and stop your sentence like that. Nevertheless, you still enjoy the watermelon-flavored popsicle while pouting at the young man.Â
â Where did you get this?â In between you lick, you look up at him, surprised to see half of the popsicle has disappeared. Did he just chomp all that in less than a minute?Â
âI bought it, of course, food doesn't fall from the sky.â This young man is much more handsome when he has his mouth closed. You are really contemplated whether to use your handkerchief to shove down his throat. Or maybe a rock could do the job well too.Â
âSo, pay me.â Xingqiu suddenly brings his hand to your face, mischief glowing in his amber eyes. The audacity of this hydro user must have rocketed the sky after so long not having a good fight. You give him a forced smile while elbow him in the stomach, voice dangerously low.Â
â Our friendship doesnât even worth a single popsicle? Really Xingqiu, Iâm so disappointed.â You fake a sigh, head shaking in disapproval. Â
The god-damned bastard avoids your blow without a hitch and even slithers his hand on your waist to tickle you. Oh, he must be looking for death this time.Â
With the popsicle still inside your mouth, you sneakily raise your hand, attempting to push Xingqiu into the lava-like sand as revenge. It'd be a perfect touch to your lovely afternoon to see him tumbling on the group while jumping like a hissing cat.Â
How naĂŻve of you, to think that he doesnât spot your little antic. This is the young man always out-performing you in every aspect, even in eating a popsicle.Â
Without even looking at you, he catches your wrist effortlessly while still licking the ice cream. His body relaxes, compare to you, who almost tumbling toward him if he doesn't hold you in place. In a panic, you try to wriggle yourself out of his hold, but the young man only tightens his hold, remains unfazed by your swinging attempt to fling his hand out of your wrist.Â
â Let me go Xingqiu!â Instead of laughing at a hissing Xingqiu tumbling on the sand, you become the angry cat here.Â
â So you can hit me? Of course not.â He replies gloatingly, chins lackadaisical, his fingers wrap tightly around your wrist.Â
âItâs hot.âÂ
â Eat your popsicle then.â His hand holding your wrist brings up to point at the melting ice cream on your hand. âItâs melting.â
Of course, everyone can see that. Shooting pointed gaze at him, you try to shake the tight grip on your wrist a few more times, but nothing avails. He doesnât let go, and your other hand is busy holding the popsicle. If you have another one, maybe you can peel off his fingers. Too bad you only have 2 hands.Â
Sigh out in defeat, you give Xingqiu stink eyes before turning your attention back to the watermelon popsicle, occasionally look down at his grip to find an escape route. You donât believe you canât escape from his grasp!Â
The hydro user doesnât let your hand go after he finished his popsicle, instead, he slumps down with one cheek resting in his hand, staring at your face blatantly. You donât usually mind but being gawked at while eating isnât as comfortable as you thought.Â
â What?â Finally, you look up to face the mischievous blue boy.Â
â Can I have a bite?âÂ
â Obviously n-â He doesnât wait for your answer and leans in. Your first reaction is to be dodged away, but the sneak has your wrist pinned on the grass, forcing you to stay still.Â
As soon as you realize your immobile state, Xingqiu is a few inches away from your face, licking the popsicle, and then biting off the edge near the stick. His smooth cheek brushes past your fingers, the deep blue locks fall on his face. From here, you inhale a hint of mint and sweet vanilla. Instead of the familiar scent of woodsy musky of old books, you notice a whiff of summer and salt on him.Â
Stunted by his sudden closeness, you remain to freeze even after he pulls away.Â
âW-wh-what did you j-just do?â To your horror, you stutter. Not once, but twice.
âEat your popsicle.âÂ
As nonchalant as ever, he shrugs while swiping the remains on his lips, like he isnât the one who just leans in so close to you. You are too dazed to even realize the popsicle hang close to your mouth is dripping down your clothes.Â
Startle at the coldness, you hastily look down and scrunch your face at the mess. Ugh, itâs because of him, again!Â
â Need me to eat that for you?â he offers, but you swear you hear a hint of playfulness glinting in his voice. Quickly, you bite off the remaining before he can steal another bite, forget how sensitive your gum is. The result, you can already imagine, is brain freeze.Â
Hissing at the sudden burst of frost blooming in your mouth, unconsciously grab on Xingqiu, squeezing his hand tightly while squirming vigorously. You shouldnât have bitten off the whole thing, even when it melts. Hand in hand, you can feel the warmth of his fingers caressing your wrist, and they slowly move down and intertwine with yours. That opportunistic guy.Â
During that heated moment, you remember yourself instinctively looking for a source of heat. At one point, your brain decided to throw the remaining sanity out the window. It convinces your body that the crook of his neck is the best source of warmth to melt the overbearing sensation in your mouth. And your body decides to do without giving another thought.Â
Face buries deep in his neck, you are engulfed in his strong musky scent, naturally, you freeze dead on your track.Â
What have you done?Â
How do you get up?Â
How can you look at his eyes now?Â
With the dreading thoughts constantly running around your mind, you can only hit your head on his shoulder blade in shame, earning a rumbling chuckle from the young man.Â
â Donât laugh!â Your whiny voice is muffled by his clothes. Upon your request, he doesnât stop at a chuckle but starts to wheeze, chest rumbling. Your cheeks burn crisp with embarrassment, yet you canât find a single hole to hide.Â
â Hahaha⊠Why did you do that?â He bursts out ungracefully, his shoulder shaking vividly. Xingqiu is teasing you on purpose!! Â
You also want to ask why did you do that too. Why did you do that without even thinking about the consequence again?Â
â Stop laughing!â The audacity of this boy, after you told him to stop laughing, he snorts louder and teases you more. You thought this chivalrous nobleman would only snort for a few minutes, Â then he would comfort you like the novel. Too bad, life isnât as predictable as the novels. What you expect is the comforting hug, or his hand patting your head reassuringly. What you get instead is a never-ending tease and the constant re-telling of the scenario in an out-of-breath voice.Â
Moving away from his neck, you pout and sulky. Despite being under the shade and cool sea breezes, you feel the heat rushing at the back of your neck and on your cheeks, a friendly reminder. Fingers fondling the edge of your shirt, you pretend to be deaf at the puff of his laugh. Is it too late for you to move to Inazuma and never see him again?
Actually, it might be better to start avoiding than do nothing.Â
You attempt to stand up abruptly and prepare to sprint off, fleeing away from the young hydro user who is making himself relax next to you.Â
Notice the use of the word here: âattemptâ.
Xingqiu quickly sees through your plan before you can start it.
Unlike last time, he saw your movement and stopped your hand in the mid-air. This time, he is a step ahead and caught your chin between his fingers, tilting your head toward him, his mesmerizing golden eyes pierce through you.Â
Catch-off-guard by his sudden closeness, the unsuccessful plan is extinguished at the back of your head.
Out of everything, why would he choose this way for your attention? You feel like you have no sanity left every time he does something intimate.Â
How weak are you for him?Â
The deep amber orbs study you intently like heâs trying to ingrain your face into his memories. The glimmering eyes always full of mischief and playfulness now is like an abyss, easily pull you in and spiraling into the darkness. The bubbly, transparent Xingqiu is replaced by a mature, mysterious, and charismatic man.
The distance between you slowly shorten, and finally, heâs a breath away. You nervously hold your breath, eyes widen at his every movement. Being this close, you can see his fluttering lashes, his sudden quicken breathing, and his plump lips dangling like a piece of meat in front of your hungry gaze. What is this feeling of heat rising up to your chest?Â
Like a moth drawn into flame, your eyes follow when his tongue darts out to wet the soft kissable pad, his lips transform into pinkish color, just like the watermelon popsicle.Â
Butterflies roaming inside your stomach, your fuzzy mind lets out a weak resistance, telling you to turn away, escape from the cradle of his finger on your chin.Â
However, your instinct gives in.
You part your lips and angle up, time stops when his lips meet yours. It is a light brush, yet you can feel your heart pounding wildly inside your chest as the mint frosty scent invades your sense. Your breath slowly turns labored, yet all you can focus on is how soft he felt on your lips and how addicting heâs tasting on your tongue.
When your visions start to blur, and your legs threaten to give out, you finally decide to part away, but the hydro user has his hands cupping on your cheek doesn't think so.Â
âLet me taste you again.â Xingqiu whispers, his voice deep and smooth like velvet.Â
And then he pulls you in, claiming your mouth again, passionate and intense. He tastes like the watermelon popsicle you just ate, like a sunny summer you used to love, like a soaring kite in the sky.Â
You donât think you hate the feeling of his lips on yours.   Â

Other: Masterlist
Moving was a long and laborious task. Your arms felt like jelly as you clutched the heavy box of dishes. You kicked open the door of your new apartment as it began to close behind the line of movers going in and out.Â
âNeed some help?â A low voice grumbled. Assuming it was your father, you just groaned and nodded.Â
âGod, I didnât even know I had so many dishes! Iâm pretty sure I just use the same ones. I should give some back to you and mom.â You complained.Â
âThatâs great, but Iâm not your dad.â Ah, shit.
In your defense, the box blocked a majority of your line of sight and you were a bit preoccupied. What you didnât expect was to see a handsome man staring at you through narrowed eyes. A small smile tugged at his lips.Â
He wordlessly held open the door for you to get into the apartment and you didnât say anything out of embarrassment. You set down the box and when you turned around to say thank you and apologize, he was already gone. The door next to yours clicked shut.Â
Great. It wasnât the first impression you had wanted out of your next door neighbor. You pulled your hair into a ponytail and swiped at the building sweat. You needed to do something to get on better terms with your neighbor. Or maybe you were overthinking things way too much. You began to unpack the dishes while the movers brought in the couch.Â
After the dishes were put away, you went back out to help the movers. On your way out, you glanced at the heavy oak door that was close beside yours. You bit at your lip and turned back to head downstairs. You had wanted to knock, to apologize or just say something.Â
Something something something. You were always doing something. They called you quite the âfixerâ in your house. Being an author was not usually a great career choice, but one thing did stand out about you; when something was wrong, you fixed it.Â
Min Yoongi ended up being quite the enigma, as you were soon to find out. Ever since your first meeting, he had been cordial with you. In all honesty, though, he rarely left his apartment. You did figure out that he was a musician and studying in the music department at the local college. How did you find out? Well, you werenât a stalker, okay, but you did overhear conversations from time to time. The walls were thin.Â
You had noticed how he rarely had any visitors, even during holidays, and a few times you had wanted to ask if he wished to join you for celebrations like New Years or Christmas, but you never did. You found out why he was alone about a year into living in the building. You didnât speak to him, but there was some attraction to the unknown.Â
It had been Christmas. You were packing and preparing to leave your monotonous life to spend time with your family. It was your favorite time of the year. Warm fairy lights were hung all around your apartment and the smell of cinnamon candles was in the air.Â
You shoved the last of your clothing into the bag. You were decked out with ugly Christmas sweaters, beanies, and boots. Just as you were about to leave, you heard the shouting of muffled voices from next door.
Neither of those were Yoongi. You knew because, well, he just never seemed like the type to yell in an argument. In all your interactions with him, leaving in the morning, riding the elevator, you knew him to be a quiet and introverted man.Â
The shouting grew louder and you wondered if you should go knock on the door and check in. You exited your apartment and walked the few steps to stand in front of his door. Hesitation filled your mind and you bit at your lip. After a few more moments, you decided against it. You turned and started walking down the hall to the elevator.Â
Suddenly, the door to his apartment opened and closed with a loud slam. You felt yourself jump at the loud noise and you twisted your head to look at the door. Yoongi, with his faded blonde hair, you had noticed he was into dyeing his hair a different color every month, was exiting his room. He took brisk steps, mumbling something about getting some fresh air.Â
You glanced at him as he strode into the elevator with you. He was running his hands madly through his hair in a constant rhythm. Then he took in a deep breath. The elevator already held winterâs frigid air and you could see the lightest of breaths puffing out from his mouth.Â
âMy parents.â He said simply. You nodded in understanding, connecting the dots.Â
âIâm sorry about that.â You said softly. He finally looked at you. You remained still, watching as the numbers ticked downward.Â
After a few moments of his eyes roaming your face, he turned back to look at the metal doors.Â
âIt canât be helped. Most parents wouldnât want their child throwing away their life on trivial pursuits.â
âTrivial pursuits, hm?â Your heart thumped quietly in your chest. You remembered the look your parents gave you when you told them about your wishes to pursue writing.Â
âI want to be in the music industry. You know, like those kpop producers?âÂ
âI see.â You hummed in acknowledgement.Â
The elevator slowed to a stop and the doors slowly creaked open. You hurried out, shouldering your duffle bag. The lobby was cold, the doors opening and letting a cold breeze in every time a resident entered or exited. Yoongi stepped out with you. This was the longest conversation youâd had with him for a year, it was oddly calming.Â
Yoongi was a listener and he took his time with his words. You reflected this in a way, but your support system was stronger. When you looked at his tired face, the way his lips pulled into a natural frown, you felt concerned. How was he holding up?Â
âI think you should do what you want, Yoongi.â You said, walking to the entrance for the underground parking. He watched you go.Â
âDonât worry, Y/N, I am.â He said simply and turned on his heel, leaving for the regular entrance.Â
A few years passed like seconds. Your life was just flashing by your eyes. Schoolwork, your job, everything was the same. Each year you led a comfortable lifestyle, you even managed to get your book into the editing phase. More and more, your life and fascination with your neighbor had intertwined.Â
The words you wrote in your book became based on the intrigue of your mysterious neighbor. Who was he really? What did he do besides schoolwork? To you, it seemed he just sat inside and played piano until the early morning hours, just like he was doing now.Â
Christmas Eve was around once again and you were packing, once more, to go see your family. You wanted to leave extra early in order to spend more time with your grandma, whose health had been shaky lately.
The sweet melody of silent night echoed through the quiet building. You glanced to your far left wall, trying to imagine him sitting at his piano, playing such a melancholic song such a happy day.Â
Thatâs when it really began; the notes. It started with a simple message scrawled messily on a sticky note.Â
Have a Merry Christmas, yoongi. :) - Y/N
You kept at it. Notes upon notes, everyday, 365 days. It gave you something to do and it was always a nice routine. You were sure he threw away each note and he never mentioned them when you stood in the elevator together either. It wasnât anything bad.Â
They always just said simple things like Hope you had a good day today. Or Are you alright? Or, your personal favorite, Have you had anything to eat? The questions always ranged based on how you heard him enter his apartment. You tried your best to plan ahead, so you kept at least two in your pocket in case you forgot sticky notes.Â
You often thought over your feelings for him. He was nice, sweet, and on top of it, extremely handsome. You lazily wrote I like you one day on a sticky note and then crumpled it up, stuffing it into one of your pockets. Someday, someday. You told yourself.Â
âWhatcha got there?â You asked, eyeing the white grocery bag in his hand.Â
He stood next to you, as per usual, on the elevator. The elevator itself was old and slow.Â
âJust some dried squid.â He said.
You were quiet, which prompted him to continue.
âTheyâre taking them out of stock this week and I donât know how long until I can get them again. I donât have time to go anywhere else. So I guess Iâve just got to stock up.â He explained quickly. You nodded, logging the information away into your brain.Â
âPersonally, I like Kyoho Jelly.â You said.Â
âAh, thatâs good too.âÂ
The next week, you went to another grocery store, and even though you werenât a particularly big fan of dried squid, you bought several packages. For the next few weeks, you delivered your notes with a bag of dried squid.Â
Both you and Yoongi had rather...solitary ways of life. He spent his time holed up playing piano and you spent your time hiding in your room writing. In fact, you mostly had the same schedule as each other. It felt nice to have a companion on your short trips to and from school. Even if you didnât say much, it was enough.Â
You ran into him on the elevator once more. He gave you a nod of acknowledgement and even managed a smile. You felt your cheeks heat up slightly. Who wouldnât be flustered to speak to him?Â
Yeah, he had that nerdy, introvert, kind of look to him, but he had this mystery in his eyes, a coldness that could only be found through years of immense strength and resilience. You knew him to be dedicated. Your way of supporting him was by not knocking on his door when it was 1 A.M. and he was practicing the same piece for the hundredth time.Â
Yoongi held a folder of sheet music in his arms and you held your manuscript. The blonde looked at your arms.Â
âYouâre a writer?â He asked.Â
âYou could say that.â You shrugged and hit your floor number. You stayed still as he stepped in after you.Â
âThatâs...really cool.â He said awkwardly.Â
You were a bit surprised. You had expected him to be cool as a cucumber, very put together, but he seemed almost nervous as he stood beside you. He fidgeted quite a bit and averted his eyes away from you.Â
âI guess.â You said softly, a warm feeling growing in your stomach. Then you bit your lip to keep from smiling.
âI wanted to apologize about uh, the way we met.â You chuckled. âI didnât know you werenât, achem, my father.âÂ
He looked away and you saw his shoulders shake with a silent laugh. Then he turned back to you. You saw a ghost of a smile left on his lips and he slowly let his face fall back into a neutral position.Â
âItâs no problem.â He said stoically, then he broke character, âI found it quite...humorous and youâre cute so itâs no big deal.âÂ
Then he flushed bright red and stumbled over his next words.
âI mean, I-nevermind, this is awkward.â He rushed and took a deep breath. He released a sigh and you smiled at him.Â
âThanks.â You said gently.Â
The elevator dinged and you stepped out, waiting for him. Did he know about the notes? Why hadnât he said anything? You glanced at his flustered face and decided against questioning him. He stepped out and began to walk with you in silence to your door.Â
    You finally made your move.Â
âHey, I know I usually leave these on your door, but since youâre right here...Iâll just give it to you, okay?â You reached into your pocket and picked up the first crumpled piece you found. You handed it to him sheepishly and he took it, holding it carefully in his soft hands.Â
âThank you.âÂ
âItâs no problem.âÂ
He opened his door. âSee you around.â
âSee you-â the door shut. â-around.â You finished quietly.Â
You reached into your pocket and pulled out the other piece of paper. Howâs your day? It read. Your face paled. Oh god, no. The only other paper in your pocket had been...I like you.Â
Your book had been slipping away from you. The editing process was tedious and time felt like it was getting away from you. Yoongi didnât know about your book, he didnât know how you wondered if he was alright, like some weird infatuation. It was normal to be worried about your neighbor, right?Â
On the subject of notes, you had gotten a rather harsh wake up call from your publisher. He had explained, in simple terms, that your book wouldnât be successful.Â
âThe writing is okay, I guess, but what happened halfway through? I was sure the main character was going to end up with Brandon, so why does it so suddenly change? I think this will throw off readers looking for a cute romance novel.â He said, as if reading off a script.Â
âBut itâs realistic. You canât fall in love and expect to be with the first man you lay eyes on.â You argued.Â
âLook, Y/N, this is just supposed to be a ditzy romance novel. Donât get into your head with metaphors and realism. Thatâs not what youâre good at and not what we signed up for. Thanks.âÂ
And the call had ended just like that. Distressed was an understatement. You set your phone down on the counter and collapsed on the couch that lay next to the wall that connected Yoongi and your apartment.
He was playing Nuvole Bianche, a rather sad song, and it pushed you to the edge. Everything was going wrong. Yoongi hadnât even looked at you since you got the notes mixed up and you were sure he was purposefully avoiding you.Â
The tears began to stream down your face, painting your cheeks. The piano rose in intensity and a sob tore out. Years of work, and for what?Â
The disappointed looks on your parentsâ faces, the raised eyebrows of your professors, all the words they had said to you in subtle jabs at your character, your career choice...were they true? Were they right? You curled in on yourself, sobbing loudly. You didnât even notice the piano music halt.Â
The only sound were your sobs, the hopelessness that settled in your bones. Maybe you should just stop. Then, there was a melody. A soft tune that had waited for a quiet moment. Youâve got a friend in me.Â
The joyful piano contrasted that of your own despair. You lifted your head. Had he heard? Did he know? You swiped at your eyes as the tune grew louder.Â
You got troubles, and I got 'em too. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you. We stick together and we see it through. 'Cause you've got a friend in me. You've got a friend in me. The melody swept you up and carried you away.Â
    You could breathe again.Â
The TV was turned up loud, blaring the message that had you sitting on the couch this Christmas instead of with your parents.Â
âA large avalanche occurred late last night, blocking a major roadway from Seoul to Busan. Officials say no one was injured in this disaster, however this will prevent hundreds of people from returning home this Christmas.â The reporter said.
You watched the screen, mind blank and eyes open. The screen itself was blurred to your vision and you were currently pushing away the harsh reality that threw a wrench in the happiest day of the year for you. You had no one. Still, in your misery, you blinked and stood. You had to do the one thing you knew how to do; write.Â
So you wrote. You wrote well into the afternoon. You wrote until your fingers cramped and your stomach growled with hunger. You wrote until you could hear Yoongi slamming his apartment door at the end of the day.Â
Your misery was on display on this blank white page. Wasnât this supposed to be a good day? You bit your lip and looked to the far wall. Yoongi was silent. No piano music was heard.Â
In a split second decision, before your inspiration vanished and your mind became numb from writing all day, you jotted a few words down onto a sticky note. You surveyed the yellow paper. It was such a small square, but the words on it meant something. It was weird how words can mean so much.Â
You left your apartment, stretching out your back which had been hunched over your computer. You swallowed thickly and stuck the note down on the ground. You knocked and waited. No response.Â
You sighed and left, opening your door and slamming it shut behind you. You felt angry tears pricking at your eyes. It was stupid, trying to understand your handsome neighbor, trying to connect to such an obviously closed off person.Â
The sound of his door opening softly and closing made you stop. You checked the time. You had three hours to midnight, three hours to Christmas.Â
Yoongi hesitated, staring down at the little note. Have a Merry Christmas :) - Y/N
He bent down and picked it up, the note reminding him of the first note last year. Of course he noticed the notes everyday, of course he felt grateful, happy that someone cared. It had been a long time since that happened. He flipped over the note. Nothing on the backside, yet the simple words seemed to taunt him.Â
The notes had made him feel...funny inside. Yoongi wasnât all too great at figuring out what was going on in his head, he just plowed through life as fast as possible. He spent his time lost in work, piano, or sleeping.
Your notes felt like a time when he could calm down and stop for a bit. How are you? I hope your day was good. Little things that made the biggest of impacts on his world.Â
He needed to do something. The blonde, now mint haired, couldnât understand how he felt about you. All he knew was that he very desperately wanted to make you happy. He had gone radio silent for a while, unsure of what to do when he discovered your note; I like you. What was he supposed to do with that information?Â
Maybe you like her back? His conscience said.Â
He thought of the crumpled notes in his desk, the replies never sent. He knew what he needed to do next.Â
30 minutes to midnight. You were sprawled on your bed like you were making a snow angel. A soft rapping on your door made you sit up. You glanced at the time and then you stood. You made your way to your closet in an attempt to throw on something other than your pajamas.
In the end, you just chose leggings and a random christmas sweater in your half packed bag. Looking at the open bag made you frown and your mood dampened. The knocking sounded again.Â
âComing!â You shouted, pulling on socks and walking to your door.Â
Upon opening the heavy wood, you saw no one. Then, on the ground, was a sticky note.
 Have a merry Christmas :) - Yoongi.Â
You picked up the note, heart thumping wildly. You turned to look at his door. It creaked open slightly and All I Want For Christmas is You began its lilting melody.Â
You folded the paper up and stepped towards his door. You gripped the note tightly, hope blooming in your chest. He sees you. The little voice in your head pushed you to continue you into the apartment.Â
âYoongi?â You called. The piano continued playing. Your heart thudded in your ears and you glanced down the short hall.Â
A board was propped up at the end, illuminated by hazy yellow Christmas lights. You stepped quietly and quickly towards it. You noted the similar layouts of your apartments.
It was like all the pieces of an apartment (a hallway, a room, a bathroom, etc) but in a different order with the same dimensions. As you walked closer to the board, you could finally make out what was on it. Your breath caught in your throat.Â
Notes. Little sticky notes were pressed all over the board. You leaned closer and the familiar scrawl of your handwriting came into focus. All of your notes. Every. Single. Note. You had ever sent him, was on this board.Â
You felt tears spring to your eyes. He had kept them. You managed to hold back the flood as you read over each note with fascination, because beside every note, was another note in Yoongiâs handwriting.Â
How are you? Iâm okay, how are you?
Did you eat today? Yes, thereâs no need to worry.Â
They were in various conditions. Notes, you realized, that he had intended to respond to you with. Each one was crumpled slightly, as if heâd thrown them out and then decided against it.Â
A bag of dried squid sat next to a bag of Kyoho Jelly. You smiled a little, remembering your gesture of goodwill. In the very middle, however, you caught the note you were sure he had thrown away.Â
I like you. I like you too.Â
Time froze. The tears were down your cheeks in an instant, the overwhelming emotions flooding you. The noteâs words played over in your brain, like his soft breath in your ear.
I like you. I like you too. The music came to a stop and you were pulled from your thoughts, twisting around to face the mint haired man. His eyes were soft, a gummy smile on his face.Â
âYou didnât think I would let you spend Christmas alone after all of this, hm?â He teased.Â
You let out a little chuckle and walked towards him. He stood from his piano and met you in the middle of the room. He took your hands in his and squeezed softly.Â
âThank you, Yoongi.â
âNo, I should thank you.â He glanced at the board of notes. âYou didnât need to do all of this.âÂ
âIt was just a silly infatuation.â
âThereâs nothing silly about it, Y/N.â He pulled you closer ever so slightly. Then he looked up pointedly and you followed his line of sight. Mistletoe.Â
Without a second thought, without a doubt, which was a surprise since you had many, you tilted your head and met his lips with yours.
He pressed into you, wrapping an arm around your waist and moving his lips in time to yours. Yoongi had an aloof and cold demeanor oftentimes, but he found he was only ever warm when he was with you.Â
You pulled away, breathing a little harder than before. His cheeks were tinged pink and yours were as well. You were flustered, captivated by his chocolate eyes. The clock on the wall chimed midnight.Â
âMerry Christmas, Yoongi.â You breathed.Â
âMerry Christmas, Y/N.â Then he leaned in once more and gave you a soft kiss on the lips.Â

rating (almost) every velma dinkley look
classic velma (several series and movies) - literally ushered in a new age of feminism. there werenât many women on television that were styled like velma before velma. literally NOTHING bad can be said about this look and thatâs why her look hasnât changed as often as fred and daphneâs 10/10
a pup named scooby doo velma - i watched my first pup episodes today and i literally almost teared up several times from how genuinely fucking adorable this velma is. sheâs so goddamn SMALL and canonically partially nonverbal and her friends respect her so much. this is probably my favorite velma of all time. â/10
whatâs new scooby doo velma - her outfit doesnât change here from classic velma, but her hairâs a different color and is a bit messier, so iâve listed her separately for this list. i like the added dimension the messy hair adds to this velma: makes it seem like sheâs stayed up until 4am on a wikipedia deep dive. very in character but i like her og hair color better so 9/10
more under the cut
mystery incorporated velma - a lot of people donât like the bows but tbh iâm a fan for some reason. couldnât explain why. this also gives us a shorter-sleeved sweater instead of one without rolled up sleeves which is something i just noticed. canonically gay but still gets a lot of in-universe comments about how ugly she is which is just not true and it makes me sad 8/10
scoob! velma - points added for canon latina velma but points taken away for gina rodriguez 5/10
be cools cooby doo velma - you are all SO MEAN to this velma because 1. sheâs from be cool 2. sheâs one of the first (if not the first) to be voiced by kate micucci and thatâs just completely not fair. you all just miss mindy cohn and none of that is kateâs fault sheâs just doing the best she can. and this velma is cute as hell anyway im always a fan when characters with glasses just have dots for eyes 10/10
linda cardellini velma pre-possession (scooby doo 2002) - like the icon sheâs modeled after, she ushered in a new wave of feminism, this time lesbian-oriented. 100000/10
linda cardellini velma post-possession (scooby doo 2002) - i just donât like the flippy swoosh hair on velma sorry. this entire outfit choice was the result of an alienâs take on young adult culture and not anything velma picked for herself so 7/10
linda cardellini velma (monsters unleashed) - the wigâs worse and itâs a swoop neck sweater not a turtleneck but its still velma so 1000/10
linda cardellini makeover velma (monsters unleashed) - literally just realized in both 2000s LA movies velma gets a makeover to make her Hotter and i dont like that very much. anyway points given for being extremely attractive ig and points taken away for this being velma trying to impress a man 5/10
hayley kiyoko velma (the mystery begins & curse of the lake monster) - this velma is so much better than yall give her credit for. not only is lesbian jesus hayley kiyoko playing her, but thereâs like... 0 het plot in her first movie. itâs all in the 2nd one. and ms kiyoko is giving us an absolute master class in acting. a couple points deducted for the shelma in lake monster but this velma is still extremely good regardless 8/10
sarah gilman velma (daphne and velma) - terf bangs dinkley. really though sheâs not THAT bad the only bad part of this velma is her wig and the actressâs FEW awkward acting moments. you guys just hate things made by women for women and girls 8/10
scooby apocalypse velma - ik shelma happens in this series and i havenât finished it yet but this is still god tier velma. sheâs extremely small you just canât see it in this pic and sheâs got an arc fitting to the seriesâ dark tone where sheâs the one who started the apocalypse in the first place iirc and itâs extremely good. 100000/10
shaggy and scooby doo get a clue velma - you canât see it in this pic but this velma :3s a lot which is a velma staple. 10/10
mystery map velma - have you guys watched this special? you should because velmaâs EXTREMELY cute in it. she doesnât look as much like pup velma as the other charas look like their pup versions but im still a big fan 10/10
whereâs my mummy velma - literally the baddest bitch on the planet. in her natural habitat: academic study. and she still has time to be the villain for this movie. 10/10
winter velma (classic) - she doesnât have time to f*ck around. she just puts on a hat and scarf after daphne gets onto her for not bundling up in the cold. her sleeves are still rolled up and she doesnât even have tights or anything to cover her legs. she has better things to do than worry about than hypothermia 10/10
winter velma (wnsd) - this winter velma is more practical than the last but retains her pompom hat. LOVE the red boots 10/10
alien invaders velma - LOVE this breezy summer butch lesbian look. just a tshirt and shorts what more do you need really. one of my fav velma looks 10000/10
aloha scooby doo velma - this is basically her alien invaders look but with a lighter top and a lei. get this bread queen 100/10
legend of the vampire velma - people in the discord were hating on this look but tbh i donât think itâs BAD itâs just not velma. if you put this outfit on daphne itâd work perfectly as a garish rock n roll getup imo. so 5/10 for effort
big top scooby doo velma - oh to be a tiny lesbian in a hideous outfit being lifted by a strongman 10/10
intro animation velma (several movies) - she leedol and she :3 but one point off for blue eyes 9/10Â
stage fright intro velma - everything from this intro automatically gets full marks from me 10/10
first frights velma - this made me realize the models in this game are probably designed after the 2000s LA movies 6/10
daphne and velma books velma - i think this is the 2nd velma with swoop bangs instead of bowl bangs (the 1st being hayley kiyoko) and i donât hate it. i also enjoy hoodie velma 10/10
xbox/ps2/gmod velma - i can only find this tiny image of her and the only thing this image conjures is the high pitched screaming from charborgâs solver squad series 10/10
lego velma - LEGO BOUCE LEGO BOUCE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 1000000000000000000000/10
lego blowout beach bash velma ft. fred because i forgot him in my fred ratings post - LEGO BOUCE LEGO BOUCE BUT THIS TIME SHES IN A LESBIAN HAWAIIAN SHIRT AND SHES WITH HER BEST FRIEND AND LESBIAN ALLY FRED WHO IS IN A TRANS HAWAIIAN SHIRT HYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUÂ 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/10

Yamata-No-Orochi (Part 1) Uncle Caesar
Weâre finally getting to the tail end of the Story Quests. Thanks for reading this far if you have. :D Iâm so happy writing this, Iâm just plugging story beats out like a happy like choochoo train, but this took a bit of thought.
This scene does not appear in the novel, manhua, or the game, however, it logically sets up a conflict that should have been there had the MC had real relationships with the characters and actual agency in the story.Â
Enjoy!
It was about 9 am in the morning when Caesar got you out of bed and dressed you up as usual. He didnât choose anything too casual or too sexual. He chose a yellow pleated skirt, a simple cotton white blouse and warm navy jean jacket, and knee high waterproof boots and invited you out with him for the day.
âWhere are we going?â You had asked him.
âJust out shopping. Whatever you like. Youâve had a hard time. So it will be good for your mental state to get out and not be shut in feeling sorry for yourself.â He replied. But his eyes are not sunny, but clouded, like the sky over Tokyo.
So you spent the day shopping after breakfast, mostly for clothes and shoes. But Caesar took you to a toy store and insisted you buy something to play with. âYou never played as a kid right?â He had asked you.
âNo⊠not really. I liked to watch movies.âÂ
âPick out a game. Anything you want.â
He didnât accompany you shopping for the toys. He stood outside, smoking the cigar with his umbrella, not minding the rain. You were concerned about Kaguya but the disturbed weather was disrupting a lot of the internet access around Tokyo and the umbrellas provided physical disguise against searching surveillance cameras. Caesar didnât mind being out, and while you shopped, he was keeping watch.
You spent a long time pacing the shelves, back and forth until finally you settled on a Sailor moon action figure. You pick it up and smile at the signature phrasing. âIn the name of the Moon, I will punish you!â You could still hear the words clear in your head.
You come out with your single doll in the small bag and you put your two fingers in a V-shape over your eye playfully, just like the heroine in the Anime.
Caesar grinned broadly, but the sadness did not leave his eyes.Â
Youâd spent so much time in the stores that the sun was already going down. âIâve made reservations for dinner. I hope you donât mind.â
âWonât Nono get jealous?â You snort.
âNot at all. She knows she has all my heart in her hands. But it's important to talk to you. You gave a starheart to Ruri Kazama last night. That means he reached you, right?â
âYes, but ⊠heâs the lead member of a yakuza group and heâs kinda out of my league.â
He waved the cigar in his hand airily. âItâs good for a young woman to raise her station through marriage in any case. But in your case, I donât think any man is out of your league. If you think he is above you, then thatâs a good thing. There are not many men like that. Much less, a man like that who youâd find attractive enough to grant a star-heart.âÂ
You laugh. âYou sound like an old Uncle playing matchmaker.â
âI know and I hate it, but Iâve given it a lot of thought.â He grimaced. âI thought you would be good for Lu Mingfei, but heâs a stable European Hybrid who grew up in a stable household. Youâre a wild thing of the White King. Youâd never be a good match.â Caesar mused. âRuri, on the other hand, knew more about you than you did about yourself. You seem to understand each other well. You clicked at the Takamagahara Club. I was pretty pissed about that but now⊠not so much.â
Youâd walked until you reached the historical luxury district. There were restaurants here that were passed down generation to generation for hundreds of years. They survived both World War I and World War II. The bricks and mortar were older than Anjou.
He reached over your head to open a small glass door. Inside, you saw only an old Japanese man behind a counter, who looked at you through his craggy face. You figured that this place was by reservation only simply because it was so small. âLet me guess? You bought out every table in this place?â
âThatâs right. Lu Mingfei helped me with the Japanese.â
âIs he doing alright?â You ask.
âYep. Heâs got that girl wrapped around his little finger.â
âThatâs kinda messed up.â You say, recalling your last conversation with Chance about Izanami using Izanagiâs feelings to further her own ends.
âWell, hopefully it will turn out to be genuine.â
You shake your head smiling. âYou really are an Old Uncle.â
Caesar pulls out the chair for you and you sit. âDonât worry about ordering anything. Everything here is good.â
A waitress came and poured sake into saucers from a black bottle and you remember that you promised Caesar to have a date over Sake and this was it. You canât believe you forgot about that but given everything that was happening it was understandable. It was more incredible that Caesar actually remembered.
Once the sake was poured, Caesar raised his saucer and you joined him in a toast. âA toast to the best damn freshman Iâve ever met.â
âAnd a toast to the fearless friend of justice!â
The sake was good, not quite sweet but full of the aroma and taste of rice in the alcohol.
âI want to discuss your future at Cassell after this. Itâs unfortunate to say, but once this mission is over, even if Iâm alive at the end, I wonât be able to shield you from the school board or anyone else.â
Your eyebrows raise. âOh? The Gattuso heir admitting that he canât protect a lady? Did I wake up in an alternate universe?â
But Caesar didnât laugh or crack a smile. âItâs the official policy of Cassell College not to admit anyone with unstable blood, like yours. My family pursued Chu Zihang because they suspected him of being of poor bloodline. Had they succeeded, they would have sent him away on an island, far from human civilization. I was able to vouch for him at his trial and foil their plans, but I won'tâ be able to help you if you run afoul of them because after this mission, Iâm graduating, MC. I will go back to Italy and marry Nono.â
Your expression falls and you feel a trapdoor has just opened underneath you. You were still heartsick over losing Chance. But Caesar was your support staff you could lean on. Without him, you would have given into despair long ago. How could you stand on your own now? You would find a way surely but you hadnât expected to part from him so soon.
He stares at you now and you understand the cloudy look in his eyes. âI want to make an arrangement with you. For your safety. But it will take you far away from me. So I donât like it. But I feel it's the best for you. If you agree, then⊠alright.â
âAlright,â You echo. âLet's hear it.â
âWe talked a little last night about how Ruri Kazama wants the Devil Clan to join Cassell and replace Hydra as the Japan Branch. But Ruri Kazama does not want to stay at Cassell and run the Devil Clan. His dream is to become a Kabuki actor and singer. He also mentioned that he recently lost his lover, and cannot help but feel extremely lonely. When he feels very lonely he looks for the loneliest girl and keeps her company. I think you can tell what Iâm getting at.â
âYes, weâre like mirror images of each other now.â You murmur. âSo I will join the Devil Clan until Ruri can get them settled with Cassell College and then leave the Clan and Cassell to be a companion to Ruri Kazama?â
âYouâll be safer, and happier, with your own kind.â Caesar said, gloomily
You let out a breath. âBut youâll miss me.â
âI already do.â He reached for a cigarette and pulled it out. Old places like this didnât mind smoking.
âThank you for thinking of me. Of course, it really depends too on how well we get along.â
âYou don't just give out star-hearts. Pursue him. I think itâll be nice.â
The plate of artfully crafted fresh sushi was carried to you. Even though you have seen so many wonderful things in Japan, you continue to marvel at the creative ways they put rice together with fish and vegetables to make a bright and colorful display. Even the heads of the prawns served as a splashy centerpiece, their antennae waving slightly like bright orange fountains.
You eat in silence for a few minutes. Neither of you are adept with chopsticks so you just use your fingers.Â
Finally Caesar broke the silence. âCan you tell me something? You mentioned Ruri Kazama would have to fight another lion. Who is this other lion? I saw that there is a mystery contender that also received a star heart.â
âHe doesnât have a name. I just call him Z, and heâs followed me my whole life. He wonât give up easily.â You lower your eyes and your chewing slows.
âAlso a hybrid?â He glances at you, his blue eyes suddenly clear and sharp.
âYes. The strongest hybrid out of all of Black Swan Bay.â
âYour old boyfriend.â Caesar looked out of the glass door at the front of the store.
âWe were never really boyfriend and girlfriend. He trained me to fight. Heâs specifically told me not to fall in love with Ruri Kazama.â
âAny particular reason why?â Caesar balanced the cigarette on his fingers.
âHe says he knows how that story will end.â You look at him seriously. âHeâs possessive and very jealous. It might not go well for Ruri if we end up together.â
âIf youâre not boyfriend or girlfriend, what does he care who you end up with?â He put the cigarette between his lips and inhaled.
âI don't know.â
âWhat will happen if you defy him?â
âIâll probably die. Heâs the one who has guarded my life. My guardian angel. He says that he has known how to keep me alive from the very beginning. If I donât do what he says, then he probably wonât keep guaranteeing my life.â
Caesarâs eyes narrowed and you saw the killer aura rise in his eyes. âWhere can I find this Z person?â
You shrug. âHeâs a mysterious thing. All these years and I still canât figure him out. He just⊠has a lot of control over things that happen. Like everyone is a puppet on a string and heâs the ultimate puppetmaster. Even Chu Zihang couldnât help but notice how fortunate it was that we ended up in the backyard of Genji Heavy Industries to hide. Or how the fortunate earthquake I caused managed to assist you in battle. He was the one who took me down to the Genji Elevator and showed me the deadpool even though Chisei Gen didnât know about it. He was the one who told me to cause the earthquake that saved Lu Mingfei in the elevator.â
Caesar leaned forward. âSo is he our ally?â
You lower your voice. âI think your purposes align. He views you as no competition to him. He only gets annoyed at my love interests. Since you are not pursuing me, he couldnât care less what you do. But Iâm telling you this, because if you do send me away with Ruri, it could have consequences both for Ruri Kazama and you.â
âA love triangle?â His eyebrows raise.
âYes.â You chuckle. âI guess you could call it that.â
Caesar lets out a breath and a puff of white smoke. âJust when I thought I had it all figured out.â
âYou almost did.â You giggle freely.
âI do have one ace in the hole. If I can guarantee your life, then that will free you right?â
âBut Iâm dying as an unstable hybrid⊠IâŠâ
âYes but so is that Uesugi girl. The documents in that folder said that the Black Swan Bay children only lived to age 20 and at that age they inevitably turned into deadpool. Erii was created as a dying ghost, the same as you, by the same people that created you. Youâre both alive, but you are 18 and Erii is 21.â
You gasp, suddenly breathless. Zâs words to you, that the key to your survival is in Tokyo, come roaring back.
âIf I can figure out the secret to how theyâre keeping her alive, then you wonât need the Z person.â Caesar smiles, but itâs challenging, snarling.
âYouâre kidding! Youâre not seriously considering competing with Z!â You always felt that Z, deep down, was a killer, who taught you to be a killer. What Caesar was doing was a dangerous thing, putting himself in the line of fire of someone who wouldnât hesitate to arrange his death the same way he had arranged everything else.
But Caesar was always like this, running headlong into danger and saying, âIâll figure it out when I get thereâ. And appealing to fear would never dissuade him.
âIâm not competing for your heart, only your freedom. I donât like men who threaten the lives of women. Thereâs actually more I can say, but given your position, Iâll keep it to myself.â He was still smiling that deadly smile, staring out the door as though seeing an unseen person.
âOh⊠my godâŠâ You sigh. âWell, if anyone could do it, it would be you.â
Your appetite significantly diminished. You felt cold and anxious. You wondered what Z would say if he ever appeared to you again. You wondered if Z would ignore Caesar, or if Caesar would simply disappear without a trace, as though he never existed.
You left the restaurant and Caesar pulled you close, one hand over your narrow shoulders. âYouâre afraid of him. Arenât you?â
You donât answer, not even with a nod.
âThat makes me more curious. Stay close to me then. That way, if he wants to keep you, heâll have no choice but to show himself.â

~ Chapter 2 ~ Masterlist
Word Count: 1683
Scorpion's Roost

(Dedicated to all 100+ followers. Enjoy!)
Undertaker left the saloon that afternoon utterly confused. What whas that cowboy doing? He didn't understand humans, ever since he turned immortal he forgot all about being one. All memories left him except one particular one. Why it stayed, he had no idea. It tormented him.
Eventually his walking led to him being inside the comfort of his funeral parlor. His gathered up thoughts were pushed to the back of his mind as he took off his hat and overcoat. A large black cat met him at the door. It was pudgy, and the look on its face resembled one an irritated human could pull. Its face was also very pudgy, and a shrill meow left its mouth to gain the attention of the tall man.
"I just got home, Paul. Settle down please. It's been a long day." Another shrill meow. "Who cares if I've been drinking?! I'm immortal, it's not gonna hurt me. Now leave me be, I want to be alone." A scoff-like noise came from the cat, then he left, his pudgy paws padding on the floorboard. "Ever since he put himself in a cat, he's been more annoying than ever, I swear." Undertaker told himself.
Sighing, Undertaker pulled off his shoes and threw them somewhere. He'll find them in the morning. His socks, belt, vest and shirt flew off somewhere as well, leaving him in just his slacks. His pale skin glowed in the moonlight from a window, as well as the mysterious patterns on his arms. Intricate demonic designs littered his arms like sleeves, stopping at his shoulders. They appeared the night he turned immortal.
Undertaker staggered a little, the whiskey in his body finally taking effect. His head buzzed. He took slow and steady steps to his bedroom, careful not to bump into any precious coffins he made. Blueprints littered the countertops everywhere, with all sorts of designs for coffins.
His staggering journey took him to his wanted destination and he flopped facedown on his bed, inhaling the scent of his own cologne and a hint of cat. 'Paul must've slept here', He thought.
Deciding not to get up, his mind wandered back to the small cowboy at the bar. He didn't understand humans and their frivolous ways. Always rubbing themselves against each other for pleasure just to end up sad and lonely afterword. Letting out a yawn, he turned himself over to stare at the ceiling, eventually falling asleep from the large amount of whiskey in his body.
*~*
Light snores escaped Undertaker's body. He seemed peaceful, until his occasional twitches turned into thrashes. Fire was all he could see. Orange flames swallowing up a house. Screams. All he could do was watch in horror as the house he grew up in was swallowed by bright flames. "Mother! Father! Kane!" His mouth moved on its own. The screams died down, until all you could hear was the crackling of the fire. Undertaker fell to his knees, helpless. He just watched his parents and brother die in a fire caused by his foolish hand.
A scream left the lips on the undead man and he flew up from his bed. Sweat and tears dripped down his body and cheeks as his breathing staggered. Undertaker gripped his head in his hands and slowed his breathing to a normal rate. He hated falling asleep. This nightmare plagued him.
After calming himself for a few minutes, Undertaker slowly got out of his bed and found his scattered clothes one by one. He placed them in a basket and went back to his bedroom. Paul, the cat, sat on his bed. "I don't need to hear anything from you." Undertaker growled out. The cat just shook his head and jumped off the bed, heading to another part of the parlor. Sighing, Undertaker grabbed clothes from his dresser and a towel and headed to the pond behind the parlor.
He stripped his pants and undergarments and padded into the cool water. The cold temperature didn't bother him. There was a bucket with cleaning supplies at the other side of the pond, but Undertaker didn't bother to grab it for right now. He wanted to relax.
*~*
After sitting in the water for a while, Undertaker decided it was time to wash himself so he moved towards the bucket. He quickly dunked his head underwater to get it wet and grabbed the shampoo, but stopped when he heard voices. 'What the fuck? This is my private pond!', he thought.
The voices grew louder and Undertaker panicked and dipped his head underwater until only his eyes and top of his head could be seen. Who needs to breathe anyways?
The cowboy and his partner appeared from the bushes surrounding the pond, followed by two other guys. They were both big and burly, but the darker haired one was just a bit shoter than the bigger blonde.
"Voila. Found it a couple weeks ago while me n' Scott were running from a sheriff. Been our secret pond since." The bigger of the four said. 'Except this is my pond and I made it myself, dick head.', Undertaker narrowed his eyes. The small cowboy scanned the pond and smiled. "Last one in is a rattlesnakes lover!" He shouted and started stripping.
Undertakers eyed widened. 'No, no no no no!' He watched in horror as the four strangers stripped to their undergarments and jumped into his pond. 'And I thought I would have a good day...' He thought. The cowboy started splashing everybody, getting lots of water on the bank and dirtying up the clean water with dirt and debris.
'That fuckin does it.' Undertaker's eyes became black. The rest of his head emerged from the water, and he focused in on the cowboy from yesterday. 'Want to intrude on my life? Fine.' His horns started to sprout, but the cowboy noticed him.
"Hey! Its the man from the bar yesterday! What are you doing in this pond?" The three other men looked to where the cowboy had pointed out. Undertaker quickly averted his eyes back to green and the horn nubs desappeared. He said nothing.
"Shawn, who's that?" The cowboy's original companion asked. The two other men stayed silent. The cowboy- Shawn -chuckled. "Just some hot guy from the bar yesterday. Surprise seeing you here! How'd you find the pond?" Shawn asked. Undertaker narrowed his eyes. "I live in the building right in front of this pond. I own it." He spat.
Shawn's eyes widened, then narrowed in confusion. "But Kev-"
"GET OUT!" Undertaker yelled. His eyes turned back to black and he stood up fully, exposing his muscular torso and marked arms. Shawn blushed.
A growl started in the throat of Undertaker, and the four outlaws panicked and scrambled over one another to try to get out and away from the demonic man in the pond. They grabbed their stuff and jumped the fence, the taller of the four accidentally knocking over Shawn's original companion in the process.
Undertaker sighed in annoyance, and his eyes slowly turned back to normal. His bath was ruined, the pond probably contaminated, and he just exposed himself to the cowboy from the bar. He mentally slapped himself and finished his washing.
*~*
Grabbing his new clothes and towel, he quickly dried himself and put on black slacks, grey dress shirt and black dress vest. He would ditch the tie and overcoat today, he planned to spend the day inside his parlor working on coffins.
He walked up the path to his parlor, making sure Paul's food bowl was filled, as well as the flower garden not trampled or littered with bugs. The daisy's were nice and fragrent, the roses with beautiful colors, snapdragons at attention, and the peonies-
"What the hell happened to my peonies?!" Undertaker exclaimed. Dirt and flowers were scattered. Boot prints led a trail to the other side of the parlor. "Somebody dug up my peonies..."
Paul stalked up and sat his pudgy body beside Undertaker. His shrill meow didn't faze Undertaker, he was too busy mourning the loss of his flowers and plotting ways to kill the flower murderer.
Undertaker kneeled down and palmed at the dug up soil, finding tiny roots from flowers and scattered petals. "I'm gonna kill whoever did this." He growled. Paul meowed and licked one his paws. Undertaker still didn't bat an eye.
Sighing, he stood back up and walked through the back door of his parlor, Paul hot on his heels. Or however fast a fat cat can keep up with a 6'10 zombie.
Inside, Undertaker threw his dirty clothes and towel in a nearby room and walked to the front doors of his parlor. 'I really don't want to open today but I guess I have to.' He thought as he opened the doors, letting mid-morning light flood his front room.
He looked around, and noticed pink on the ground. He looked, and a bad bouqet of pink peonies messily thrown together sat on the ground. The roots were still intact. Grunting, Undertaker bent down and picked up the bouqet. A messy note was attached.
'Sorry for playing in your pond. I hope these make up a good apology. - Shawn'
"I'm gonna fucking kill him." Undertaker growled. He resisted the urge to hold the flowers close, as he was in broad daylight, but he did when he turned to go back in his parlor. "Of all people, why did HE get invloved in two days worth of my life?!" He thought aloud.
Paul padded up to Undertaker and gave another shrill meow. This time, Undertaker noticed him and rolled his eyes. "No, I don't even know him. He just came up to me in the bar yesterday and tried to fraternize with me." Undertaker replied. Paul meowed harshly. "Shut up! Not like you can do anything, you're just a cat." Paul huffed, and swiped at the mans ankles.
Undertaker pulled his leg up just in time and shooed off his pesky human-like cat. Paul ran off, leaving Undertaker with his peonies and murderous thoughts.

Omega Jason Todd Week 2020 Day 7: Free day #2 - Historical AU - 1700s What happens if none of the prompts you wanted to do made it? Why, crunch them all on the free day, of course!
Pfft yall have no proof that I'm just looking for excuses to put Jason in various dresses AO3 link ----
âI despise this,â Jason whispered to himself as he ripped the elaborate powdered wig off of his head and threw it aside, âthis is atrocious.â
He really didnât understand the reason why he had to do this. The whole rationale behind having to use his omega charms to approach the Waynes completely evaded him. Not when he had to dress in these ridiculous red satins and side hoops, barely able to move with him tripping over his gown every second step. The tightly laced stays he wore made his torso stiff and the dainty shoes hurt his feet. Jason hated how demeaning the low laced collar was, practically revealing his breasts for all the world to see, evoking interested looks to shoot at him from alphas all around which Jason absolutely detested. He also hated the perfumes that he was made to wear. They were too sweet, too artificial. Too obviously omega.
âI will kill Roman for this,â he said through clenched teeth. And to think the bastard alpha had the audacity to suggest that he also powder his face white and rouge his cheeks. He missed his coat, his red-colored hooded cloak and his simple mask (not like the frilly one heâs forced to wear to the masked ball), and his boots (God, did he miss his boots). But most importantly, Jason missed his guns. He missed his belt and his firearms, and he wished he was anywhere but here, dressed in unisex habits wreaking havoc in the harbor near the Wayneâs ships instead of standing here pretending to be some vulnerable damsel wearing these demeaning pannier and bows and satins that dragged on the ground, trying to use his omega attractiveness against the supposedly unsuspecting Waynes.
Jason huffed out a frustrated sigh before looking around himself. And, after making sure that no one was staring, he quietly and stealthily took off the ruffled red domino mask to reveal his face. Jason wanted a break. He needed one.
The Waynes had three sons and only one of them was alpha, a rich kid who was more into playing around than any official courtship and more into forming his own pack of misfits than staying home and taking over the pack legacy like a responsible alpha son should. Jason had read all the files on Richard Grayson before Roman had made him prepare for the ball, and he wasnât convinced one bit that this plan was going to work.
âBut wouldnât it be easier if you used an omega with more finesse who is more experienced with higher society?â heâd asked.
âSon,â Roman had answered, right before he helped lace on Jasonâs stays, âyouâre selling yourself short. Besides, your training made you the best omega for this job.â
Except itâs easier said than done. Trying to disguise himself as a fine omega whoâs lived among aristocracy his whole life when he was in actuality but a street urchin found curled up in the gutter was bloody hard. Jason didnât have a smidge of clue on how to act properly and pretend to be a respectable omega like the rich bastards he was finding himself amongst right now. Only making things harder was him trying to locate the couple of targets he was meant to seduce in a massive ballroom where every single alpha, omega, and even some betas had their faces hidden behind masks. Jason had no clue what either Wayne or Grayson looked like in real life, which meant it was almost impossible to locate them among tens of masked attendants.
And speaking of which, of course, someone just had to decide to speak to Jason the same moment he removed his.
âMay I have this dance?â
The voice sounded behind him with a classy but seductive alpha timbre. Jason looked back only so he could yell at the pretentious male to get lost. But thatâs not what ended up happening. As soon as he had his eyes set on the young man, Jason immediately forgot what he was going to say.
A young alpha - perhaps only a few years older than Jason and dressed in black and blue - was holding his hand out to him in a polite and gentlemanly way. His hair was raven black, wavy, and down to his shoulders. His coat had golden trims and decorations embroidered among the smooth surface of the bright blue satin, yet they didnât look overly ornate in any way. If anything, they made the manâs cerulean-blue eyes stand out even more under his simple silken black domino mask.
âYouâre not from around here, I presume?â the alpha asked, still holding out his hand, black silken glove with blue strips catching some of the light from the wall lamps surrounding them, âif there had been such a fine omega around Gotham before, I wouldâve noticed.â
Thereâs something...fraudulent in the alphaâs mannerism. The smile on his lips did not reach his eyes, his words were practiced, and Jason was way too familiar with the look in the manâs eyes which showed an alphaâs inquisitive behavior that Jason had known from his days on the streets. The scents he wore were also artificial, smelling eternally of calm sandalwood and lime, not giving away anything about the alphaâs true emotions or intentions.
Jason swallowed. His eyes quickly darted towards his side, catching a glimpse of Roman walking by while sipping a glass of wine, eyes trailing to him unsuspectedly under the black skull mask he wore. And Jason immediately knew this was a dance that heâs not allowed to turn down.
âYou have a keen eye,â Jason said instead, couldnât hold down the almost sarcastic tone in his voice as he placed his own gloved hand onto the alphaâs fancily clad ones, âcare to tell me more about this city?â
As he let the alpha lead him down to the dance floor, Jason was beginning to feel anxious. Roman did in fact hire a tutor to train him in the dances of the upper-class, but Jason didnât know if heâs adequate enough to keep up. He still had his mask in his hand, so Jason restored it back onto his face.
They began an allemande, starting their tip-toed dance to the trendy orchestral music that had gotten quite popular in the past decade before holding hands and twirling around each other, their fake alpha and omega perfumes mixing in a chaotic whirlpool of imitation of courtship pheromones.
âThereâs a lot about Gotham that I could talk about,â the young and beautiful alpha finally spoke up, his long hair softly bouncing and whirling around with his movement, a loose strand temporarily stuck to the side of his mask before falling away and joining the others. âI donât know what could interest a young omega like you. Do you rather talk about the elite or the poor?â
âAnything interesting, I suppose,â Jason answered with barely-concealed boredom, âmy interests are broad, despite my designation.â
âIn that case,â the alpha held his hand and they twirled around, a wave of dizziness suddenly catching Jason by surprise, âI suppose you might have heard about the mysterious red-hooded rogue whoâs been attacking the harbors?â
Jason put on his practiced impassive visage and lied, âNo. Care to tell me?â
Another swirl, and this time the alpha caught a hold of his waist and his hand, and they swayed in the music like two bodies in one.
âWell,â the alpha said thoughtfully, âforgive me for mentioning such a dark matter in front of an omega. The man calls himself Red Hood, and seemed to harbor a hate for the rich. He had been sabotaging Wayne's shipments for almost a month. But itâs nothing someone like you should worry about...we town folks are generally safe, despite being the ârichâ that the fiend hates so much.â
âDoesnât seem like a topic one would talk about with an omega they just met at a ball,â Jason deadpanned.
âYouâre right,â the alpha said, an amused tone in his voice, âbut itâs something thatâs been happening to Gotham which a newcomer might find helpful. And, since it appears this is your first ball, I think itâs proper of me to help...break the ice, so to speak.â
âWhat makes you think that?â
âOh, many things,â the alpha laughed, âlike how your mannerism doesnât match with someone educated in high society from birth, or how you look like you are struggling to move in those garments.â
He took Jasonâs hand and they made a swirl, the orchestral music in the ballroom ringing fancily in the omegaâs ears.
âAlthough,â the alpha then mused, âisnât it strange, that no one truly knows Red Hoodâs designation, even though most just assumed he is alpha, like most rogues? It does seem a rather rare coincidence that a lovely omega like you would show up suddenly at the Wayneâs ball around the same time their shipments are being sabotaged by an elusive red-hooded figure.â
Jason was so shocked that he didnât know what to say. He was suddenly glad that the perfumes he wore were heavy-scented enough that it could hide his true anxiety. He almost fell by tripping on the side of his gown, but the mysterious young alpha caught his waist just in time.
The alpha supported him until Jason was able to balance himself on his heels again. Then, he held his hand in a gentlemanly fashion as Jason stared at him speechless and dumbfounded.
âForgive my ill manners,â the alpha said, âI apologize for my intrusive words. Itâs not every day one could find a lovely omega to talk to. You seemed to be someone with similar interests as me despite your designation, so I let myself speak more than I should have.â
And then he kissed his hand, soft lips feeling warm even as they were obstructed by silken gloves. The young alphaâs long hair dropped down and tickled him through the fabric, and for a moment Jason had the insane thought that even his fake sandalwood scents smelled pleasant.
âWe will meet again, my lovely omega,â the alpha said as he began to step away, still holding Jasonâs hand a while longer as their arms stretched a little to accommodate. Thereâs something in the alphaâs expression and tone that told Jason he wasnât just speaking to be polite. He actually meant it.
Then, the alpha was gone, leaving Jason to stand and contemplate the situation by himself.

The one thing that I have always appreciated about you was the fact that youâre very opinionated (if not, very vocal on your stance on things) and you hold your ground. There were a few time where you encouraged me to speak on topics that I think I shouldnât and that stuck with me for quite awhile. Iâm still a nervous rambling mess when it comes to debates but just know that the one time you supported me to voice my opinion--I hold it very dear to my heart.Â

Itâs so nice being around you. Itâs like being tossed in the oven and baked at 250 degrees F for 25 minutes. And to boot youâre really talented, hello? God really said let there be a perfect human being and yeeted you into the universe. Thank you for always leaving such kind messages and words in my DM/askbox/works. I cherish them so much. Just to make things clear... (go on) Last night, I was attacked by someone wearing a mask... (yep) And whoever that was--now they're... I don't know why, but now they're laying dead in front of me... (I can neither confirm nor deny this query)
Makoto: what is that supposed to mean.
Siramay: I can neither confirm nor deny this query sorry youâre on your own.
So after seeing the corpse they began to investigate what could possibly have happened and then they tried to tell who it was and take of her mask and then
*KABOOOOOOM*
Siramay: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOOK AT HOW THEY MASSACRED MY GIRL WHY MUST YOU BE SO CRULE UNIVERES
...there was a blinding light, and a deafening roar. The body...blew up. It blew up it blew up it blew up it blew up it blew up it blew up it blew up it blew up!
Needless to say the survivor gang tried to put out the fire, but the damage was done WAS HER DEATH NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU! YOU GO AND DAMAGE HER BEAUTY TO!? Well even so may she still be an angel at first they all thought it kyoko, but they did bring up the possibility of it being the mastermind.
Makoto: Is it the teenage girl Kyoko told me about? The Ultimate Destrawberry...?
Siramay: you still doing that?
Makoto: you can never be to sure, also its funny
Siramay: true
Then makoto told the others about mukuro ikusaba the ultimate des-âŠ. Iâm running out of food⊠destarfruit.
Byakuya: There's another student here, and it's a female? That *would* match the body's characteristic...
Aoi: And that phrase, the Ultimate Des-
Siramay: NOOOO!!
magic
Aoi: Desblackberry--it sounds super mastermind-y, doesn't it?
Makoto: what did you do this time siramay?
Siramay: now no one can say desboysenberry MAHAHAHAHHA.
IT WAS THE ONLY THING SHE HAD LEFT WHAT DID SHE DO TO DESERVE THIS!? âŠdo I even need to answer that?
yasuhiro: Okay, so...the mastermind is this girl Mukuro? And she's a student here? And she's the Ultimate Desdragonfruit? But if she's been hiding here in the school like some teenage Bigfoot...how'd she wind up burnt to a crisp!?
Well needless to say they went to investigate the body, also toko is ok what makoto saw was a strange key on the ground, then bayakuya kicked makoto out to look for the door the key opens.
Siramay: it opens the data center.
And makoto immediately went to tell them, REALY NO CHECKING!? then when they went they forced makoto to open the door incase it blew up, rude and so he opened it.
Siramay: beholdâŠ. THE MASTERMIND LAYER!!
Dramatic pose Epic thunder sounds
Makoto: where that come from?
Siramay: where do you think.
So yeah they saw all the cameras and such the mastermind uses to watch everyone.
So they all think mukuro was the mastermind BASELESS SLANDER and that shes dead, eh I donât care I got a David bowie stash to find and steal then they wanted to investigate the data lab to find out secrets since they think zetsu was murdered.
Byakuya: Naturally. The state of the corpse makes it plain as day. There is absolutely no doubt the mastermind was murdered.
Siramay: ah not clearly they laid down put their coat on top of them and stabbed themselves in the stomach.
Makoto: really?
Siramay: no!
Well anyway they began to investigate the room like how the monodoor was locked and oh look a tv antenna witch they had yasuhiro use to connect to the tv which showed them and on every channel to how confusing oh and look monokuma was here.
Siramay: HES ALLLIIVVVEEE
They also said heâs acting different, but I donât get that they seem the same to me, must be the madness of isolation.
Makoto: Oh yeah, that's it. Puhuhu... The look on your faces right now is sublime!
Siramay: it is kinda funny.
Monokuma: That's what I wanted to see--the moment you went from hope to despair.. I can say it myself naegi!
Siramay: OH NO I FORGOT MY MAGIC DOSENT WORK ON THEM AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH
Then siramay jumped away in a portal in fear
monokuma: Well, it's almost time to cut off your past so full of hope and begin to DESPAIR at the future ahead of you! I want you to all have way more fun in this killing game!
Then monokuma said other things
This life isn't all bad ya know! I mean, there's stuff you won't like about life no matter where you are!
Siramay pops his head out of a tiny portal.
Siramay: thatâs fair
Toko: Are you s-serious? This place is the w-worst...!
Monokuma: If it's the worst, does that mean you're in...despair? Ahh-hahahahaha!
Siramay: man youâre running millage on that word guess it makes sense its all you have left.
I say holding the secret stash of David bowie music I could burn this all right now in their face⊠no I shouldnât I could use this later anyway also as a music man the songs are indeed quite good so anyway monokuma talks about how the tvs a clue.
Monokuma: Everything has a meaning, you know... All those hints I gave you, all those tantalizing tidbits about the school's mysteries... Even me luring you here right now... Why would I do any of that without a reason?
Siramay: ah so you admit it!
Monokuma: It was all for my captive audience--to show them true despair like they'd never seen it before!
Siramay: riiiiiggghhtt all right keep your secrets and ignore me not like I care!
Monokuma: I became the director of a despair-based production! This is the ultimate reality show! The best in despair entertainment!
A single tear sheds from siramays eye from being ignored.
Course monokuma went on and on about there evil but then he stopped cause after all if there still alive that means there not the body and if there not the body that means thereâs another murder a foot and if thereâs another murder a foot that means A TRIAL SHALL SOON COMENCE BUM BUM BUUUUMM
And then...he was gone. Reality was incomprehensible, the truth hopelessly out of reach. All we were left with...was despair. (monokuma: GOT IT! New ringtone!) We stood there for I don't know how long, frozen in place. I couldn't think- AW I COULD HAVE SAID DESPUMPKN GOSH DARNIT! (monokuma: you lose!) (itâs not over till the despair lady sings!). It took everything I had just to keep myself standing upright.
Yasuhiro: I don't understand any of this... What's "deswatermelon entertainment"? (monokuma: donât start this again!) (to bad!) And...how is he still alive!?
Also byakyua thinks kyoko is dead cause his blatant and disrespectful slander of saying mukuro is the mastermind SLANDER I SAY! Course makoto refuses to believe it WITCH IS FAIR AS ITS AS FALSE AS ZETSUS HAIR COLOR and so the investigation begun, and so makoto went back to the garden, he saw fragments a knife, also makoto got all worried about murdering them awe no baby boi you didnât do that then they checked the chickens.
Siramay: THERES NOT FIVE ANYMORE
I count four chickens.
Siramay: HINA YOU ATE A CHIKEN AND DIDNâT SHARE
Makoto: really?
Siramay: no
Then he recalled how the body looked before the boom, then they talked about the body was found, and byakua was suspicious about makoto thinking heâs the killer witch is not true at all, though I will admit itâs a fair point BUT MAKOTO IS AN ANGEL HEâD NEVER KILL and then makoto looked closer at the body..neeeeeerrr
Siramay: sad dragon noises
Makoto: ⊠yes?
Siramay: look at those fake nails shed never where them she was forced to she couldnât even have the honor of dyeing as herself what sick twisted monster would do that to a girl sob.
Makoto also noticed the wolf tattoo.
Siramay: yee I say she liked wolfys makoto but uh it had a more bisunessy reason but canât say but shes a good girl she deserved head pats and love I hope she gets all the love in heaven, because she never got it here sob.
The upper half of the body got set on fire in the explosion, so it's totally blackened... Also, the top half of the body is wet.
SOB
Siramay just kinda stayed looking at the body in sadness.
Makoto also saw a tarp in the toolshed, then makoto wanted to investigate kyokos room, but first he realized the thing about the bomb but then they were allowed to go to kyokos room saw a woodblock key, then after talking to byakuya he recalled kyokos last will and testament sadly instead of giving makoto money or at least a boot to the head all it said was âunder the sheetsâ in which makoto found a note about mukuro.
Siramay: aaayyy thatâs my giiirrllll.
âName: Mukuro Ikusaba
Sex: Female
The Ultimate Soldier (so coooool)
Although small for her age, she was a military specialist trained in every weapon type imaginable. (she could crush your skull with her thighs!)  She showed an interest in the military from childhood and soon found herself completely absorbed in it. In elementary school, she won a survival game tournament and began writing for military magazines. (soooo cooool oh I already said thatâŠwell its true)
Just before entering middle school, while she and her family were on vacation in Europe (Ireland specifically shes half Irish donât ya know makoto)...she disappeared. The story of a young Japanese girl being kidnapped quickly took over Japanese media outlets (her grandfather died! But he had it coming). An intense international investigation turned up no information, and she was never found. (she must be smart to stay hidden or at least I think so clever girl but never appreciated)
However, she reappeared in Japan three years later (could have sworn it was 4), alone and completely unannounced. She revealed that she had joined a mercenary group known as Fenrir for those three years. She insisted that she hadn't been kidnapped, that she'd received battle training of her own volition. However, she never revealed why she decided to return home when she did.â (âŠits complicated you know hard to explain with parents dying and your father figure telling you not to give up on family and siblings who may or may not have turned super evil while you where goneâŠ.. I donât wanna talk about it)
Then byakua said how he recognized Fenrir
Siramay: oh yeah I know about it to!
Makoto: can you say anything about it.
Siramay: awe yeah its multiverseal! Iâve heard in many words I traveled to of the infamies Lycan family and there gang of fighters who follow the wolf loving war and all that heard about them all the way back in the 1800s with the great vvulf from the DD dimension though maybe they are older then even that and of course I canât forget that cunning Worriz and the twisted gang in the 1980-2000s nearly killed a good friend of mine that guy did, though in your time in this world it was run by a Mr. Wayne Lycan he was cool a bit on the scrawny side though thatâs why he worked twice as hard to prove the worth to his father that he could leady the business named ATM to Fenrir how fancy oh he was like the father mukuro never had and always wanted though I do have to question how sensible the man was to just allow a 10-11 year old into a mercenary gang but he did care about her he cared about her greatly he was so proud to see her fight and be victorious in battlefield⊠he must be just as sad as I about her death and what that cruel excuse for a sister did to her he said it himself he said âif anything happens to mukuro Iâll kill everyone on the battlefield then myselfâ so if he wasnât already dead I assure heâs dead now
Makoto: how do you know all this
Siramay: I know everything makoto and also nothing at all.
And then monokuma showed up and was all mad about rule breaking and making a fuss about it.
Monokuma: Of course I am! A proper school life is built on the dedication to organization and order! Which is why even I, as the school headmaster, have to follow the regulations myself!
Byakuya: Oh? So you're saying you have to follow your own rules, as well?
Monokuma: Absolutely! I can't have you complaining about how unfair it all is, now can I?
Siramay: riiiigggghhhttt
Makoto: ?
Siramay: Iâm just saying makoto there are two types of villains, villains who will literally kill themselves when their world order is broken and villains who will fuss about it but when the time comes will break the rules as easily as they made them, now just look at monokuma and everything heâs done and ask yourself which type he looks like
Then monokuma admitted how there where 16 students and he is one of them then he also revealed kyokos secret about her KFH (kyoko fried hands)
Monokuma: You know how she wears those stupid gloves day in, day out, all the time? Well, don't tell anyone I told you, but... She wears them to cover a bunch of hideous scars that she doesn't want anyone to see!
Makoto: ...What?
Monokuma: Puhuhu. Okay, NOW that's all you get! Ahh-hahahahaha!
And then they left
Siramay: how rude talking about kyokos hand scars I bet you wouldnât like it if I talked about your back scars.
Makoto: they have scars?
Siramay: yeah but it aint like kyokos that come from burning hers come from FLAELLATION!!
Siramay pulls out said tool above you know classic family abuse I would talk about it, but I feel its cliche, so I donât wanna be rude.
Makoto: they used that!?
Siramay: oh no her parents used more a basic stuff like riding crops and their fist though he did have big fist like bigger than a mug I think, there was this one tool, but I canât recall the name OH WAIT!
THE SJAMBOK! these things hurt like deathâŠ. but as I was saying oh yeah that old whip was more used by good old grandpa damian, he was the old Irish one I was talking about he was a flagellant and a sado-masochist, so he was delusional but still she was just 10.
Makoto: TEN- makoto covered his mouth as not to react deeply.
Siramay: at least he never got to use the metal ones like this thing!
makoto almost fainted at the thought of what siramay brought up but siramay with a portal grew another hand to catch makoto.
eh its ok makoto whats a little mental damage between friends eh? After all scars may be forever (unless you get scar removal surgery witch they possibly did) but psychological damage will last even longer
anyway with monokumas info makoto realized the corpse canât be kyoko, cause clearly me constantly calling the course mukuro was totally not valid proofâŠ. Then again mukuro does mean corpse in Japanese maybe makoto just though I was being weird again, but no he would know her name yes! eh I digress anyway byakuya talked about mukuro and kyoko honestly it was pretty confusing.
Byakuya: We thought Mukuro, the Ultimate Despair, was the mastermind's true identity.
Makoto: donât say that word!
Byakuya: why?
Monokuma getting aroused in the background.
Byakuya: But if that's true, Monokuma's behavior makes no sense. Why would the mastermind go out of their way to reveal themselves to us?
Makoto: That's a good point...
Well anyway they went to investigate the dojo to look at the locker and there where arrows and tape then they went to the archive to learn more about mukuro.
Yaaahhh more mukuro lore
Byakuya: "Fenrir is an elite fighting unit base out of the Middle East (itâs always the middle east why canât they spice it up by fighting somewhere like Canada) (makoto: Canada really?) (I couldnât think of anything but man thatâs far from Europe donât yah think. I think they were on draft world tour you know how it is). Unlike military contractors, they are a fierce group of soldiers who engage in direct combat. (fierce wolfy woos) They claim that a single member is equivalent to an entire company of regular soldiers. Just like Fenrir, the Wolf of Ragnarok, their mere presence is enough to strike fear into any enemy. They have been involved in countless military battles and operations, most of which are highly classified. (ou like the great battle of the heart of darkness a literal Eldredge abomination⊠wait that wasnât them they were just commissioned by the cultist who found it oh, but they were defeated by the team who did defeat it I can still remember how they sliced vvulf in half)
"However, some time ago, they completely ceased all activity. At present, their continued existence cannot be confirmed. There are unconfirmed reports that the key members of the group were all neutralized. Rumors indicate they were killed to keep them from revealing the many state secrets they'd acquired. Some, however, believe there was mounting internal tension within the group, and they simply imploded." (WAYNE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) âŠâŠ(PLEASE DONâT BE WHAT I THINK HAPPENED) (makoto: what do you-) (IM NOT SAYING!! As long as I donât think it happened it didnât happen, no no⊠oh no I can see nonononononoon! MAKOTO DISTRACT ME)
Makoto: ...
Siramay: at least Wayne and mukuro can reunite in heavenâŠ
Byakuya: ...What is it?
Makoto: This all just sounds like some kind of...alternate reality.
Byakuya: Well, it isn't. This is *our* reality, the *only* reality (thatâs not exactly true!). These people are part of our world. Their battlefields aren't much different from our lives here. An unpredictable, unimaginable world...
Also makoto realized the Fenrir people getting tattoos and that mukuro had a wolf tattoo and then it was time for the class trial, so as makoto went to the red doors siramayâŠstarted to beat box.
Siramay: bum bum bum bum bum bum bum a bodyâs been discovered a person has been murdered one of your fellow students is dead thereâs a giant pool of blood and your names dragged through the mud gotta prove who is messed up in the head.
Well despair starts coming and it donât stop coming donât break the rules or you better get running dosent make sense why youâre trapped in here not what you expected from a new school year.
youâve called it quits youâve had enough so whats wrong with picking the knife up youâll never leave if you donât kill youâre gonna die if you just chill.
hey now! youâre the blackened! time for trial how sad!
Hey now! look what happened you got found out to bad.
And not its punishment tiiimmmee killers have to pay for their criimme.
Eh? Eh?
Makoto: âŠthat was actually pretty good.
Siramay: YEAAHHH
Well when makoto got in the elevator everyone assumed him and byakuya where being gay (NO THEY WENRT) yes they were makoto, and so they where waiting for the elevator to go down⊠but go down it did not, it was a little over ten minutes, then monokuma showed up to explain the predicament, and then, like a hero in the climax of the movie, like a great explosion in a mine KYOKO WAS HERE ALLLIIIIVVVVEEEE even if yasuhiro thought she was a ghost so the others went to the elevator but makoto had a heart to heart with kyoko first, where makoto ask what kyoko was doing and she says how she was on the second floor dorms revealing that the key she had was a master key that could open any door in the school but they didnât have much time to go further as they had to go to the trial, then kyoko sounded suspect but that ok cause it was trial time
Being the last one left, I stepped into the elevator. And the doors slid shut... This time, the clunking was loud enough to hurt my ears, and the dread began to consume me once again... I can't imagine ever getting used to the mental pressure that comes with preparing for an execution. In that dusky darkness, nobody said a word. We just stood there, silent, and still. After an immeasurable period of time, the doors opened without warning... A dazzling light penetrated every depth of my eyes. But it wasn't the illuminating light of hope... It was the blinding light of descarrot.
Makoto: OH SNAP NO IT WAS THE BLINDING LIGHT OF A FASHION DISASTER OH KODAKA! WHO DID YOUR HOME DECORATING? MY WORD IVE SEEN ANIMACROSSING HOUSES BY PEOPLE WITH BLINDFOLDS ON THAT LOOK BETTER THEN THIS
Siramay: Iâve heard of eyestrain but my word.
Monokuma: âŠrude Ahh, I've been waiting for this! I feel like it's been forever since we got together like this... The time for pointless jokes and jabs has passed. Let's get on with the show!
And so, the curtain opened for the fifth time... A deadly judgment... A deadly deception... A deadly betrayal. A deadly riddle, a deadly defense, and deadly faith... A deadly...class trial...!
SOOO COOOLL so the trial started.
Started with hagakure saying kyoko was dead and the one on podium was a GHOOOOOSSSTTT hahahahahahah thankfully makoto proved that argument wrong as they now needed to identify the real body victim âŠnot thinking about it I guess thatâs why he needed other not me proof to prover her identity he canât just say âits mukuro cause the magic dragon only I can see told me soâ hahahah they think heâs crazy so they talk about her tattoo.
Toko: Her master m-must have made her get it...to be like, "You're my *censored* ."
Crying cause shes not entirely wrong in a sense
But yeah so they all realized the corpse is mukuro.
Monokuma: Ah-ha-ha-ha! You sound surprised! But you're absolutely right! Yes, indeed! The trial this time is to solve the murder of Mukuro Ikusaba!
Siramay: SHE WAS TOO GOOD FOR THIS WOOOORRLLLDDD
Anyway
Aoi: But I mean...being the Ultimate Des-
Makoto: HINA NO!
Aoi: uh desïżœïżœlettuce seems like a pretty mastermind-y title to me... sorry weâve been out of fruits we have to go with vegetables now.
Monokuma: I donât like this idea thatâs spreadingâŠ
Byakuya: : Maybe we shouldn't have been thinking of her as the Ultimate Despair (makoto: EGGPLANT) in the first place.
Monokuma: I heard it~
Needless to say as they were talking about masterminds and all that and how mukuro wasnât the big bad monokuma wanted to avoid the subject and move on to the fact the only 2 subjects that could have killed mukuro are kyoko and makoto, despite neither doing it but I digress so makoto had to clear his name so he explained cause the bodyâs dry (besides the water outage) that it had to have happened during 7:30-9 course that leaves kyoko without an alibi but kyoko wants to live to solve the school mystery says itâs a trap by monokuma (witch it is) but byakuya does state she had a motive
Byakuya: She thought Mukuro was the Ultimate Des-(makoto: GOARD). In other words, the mastermind behind everything... So she killed her to try and put a stop to all this. Isn't that right, Kyoko? But you made one catastrophic mistake--Mukuro wasn't the mastermind at all.
So in this scenario kyoko opts to bunk makotos alibi unintentionally pining blame on him
And thus began the game OF BLACNKED TENIS where makoto and kyoko kept throwing the title of blackened back to one another stating why they went the killer framing the other in the process crazy right?
Like saying the blood on the body was actually chicken blood to make it look wet when it could have been dry
Makoto: wait why did they have to stab a chicken for the blood couldnât they just stab the body?
Siramay: blood coagulates sometime after the body dies though.
Makoto: well how long?
Siramay: uhhh I donno, OH like at least 10 hours or so
Makoto: that would have been plenty of time!
Siramay: ⊠cringing cause he knows mukuro was dead for over a month so her blood would be long past coagulated but unable to tell makoto cause if he revealed that he would be spoiled for knowing something is suspicious about the trial right.
So they continued with this argument and then kyoko brings up the ultimatum that they couldnât have had the dojo key cause the dojo key was in their room and they couldnât get in their room cause byakua took their key, but makoto knew otherwise since she had the master key and so makoto was left with a huge choice call kyoko out or keep it to himself.
Makoto: siramay what should I do
Siramay: well I canât say due to the universe but what I can tell you is to follow your heart for you are an angel and your word will always be divine even if not at first glance.
Makoto: what does that mean.
Siramay: youâll soon find out.
...I've made my decision. I have to believe in Kyoko. There's no way she would kill someone! There has to be some secret here, something that has to do with the mastermind's trap that Kyoko mentioned.
But sadly by holding that info the suspicion crashed down finally on him and stayed there despite makotos please that something is wrong but monokuma wouldnât have it and ended the trial.
Monokuma: Now, who will be chosen as the blackened? Will you make the right choice, or the dreadfully wrong one?
Makoto: Hey, hold on! siramay! Is this supposed to happen?
Siramay: âŠ
Siramay just sat in silence looking at makoto.
Monokuma: What's it gonna be? What's it gonna beeee!?
And so makoto was deemed guilty.
Makoto: What...? You think *I'm* the killer...?
Yasuhiro: Sorry, man...
Aoi: Yeah, s-sorry...
Toko: It's all your f-fault...!
Byakuya: ...
Makoto: Everyone...you're wrong...! You've got it all wrong! I didn't do it!
Monokuma: Good job, everyone!
Makoto: G-Good job...?
Monokuma: Yeah. They got it right!
Makoto: N-No, I know that's not true... None of this makes any sense... This whole trial doesn't make any sense!
Monokuma: It makes perfect seeeeEEEENNNSSSSSEEE!!! It's the same as always! It's just like all the other class trials! And I'm gonna end it the same way! It's time for your heart pounding, positively thrilling punishment!
Makoto: W-Wait! Why do I--!? siramay!
But siramay just looked at him and started to sing.
[SIRAMAY] Poor, poor Makoto, what'cha gonna do? Things look bad for you, hey, what'cha gonna do? Poor, poor Makoto, what'cha gonna do? Things look bad for you, hey, what'cha gonna do?
Makoto: ... Kyoko--!
Kyoko: I don't expect you to forgive me. I know this is all my fault...
Makoto: Kyoko...?
Monokuma: Let's give it everything we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIIIME!
And so he was dragged off to his execution and I could hear him beg.
SIRAMAY! SIRAMAY PLEASE HELP ME SIRAMY? SIRAMAY!!
âŠ
youtube
[SIRAMAY] Why the struggle, why the strain? Why make trouble, why make scenes? Why go against the grain, why swim upstream? It ain't, it ain't, it ain't no use You're bound, you're bound, you're bound to lose What's done, what's done, what's done is done That's the way the river runs
So why get wet? Why break a sweat? Why waste your precious breath? Why beat your handsome brow?
Nothing changes.
Nothing changes, nothing changes AnyhowâŠ
And at the final moment when it seemed all hope was lost for makoto alter ego showed up and opened the trash shoot saving makoto just as expected thank goodness its still sad to see though did have to scream it truly scared me to death Iâm glad heâs safe though.
[SIRAMAY] Oh now survivors, how low can you stoop? You make a sordid group, hey, how low can you stoop? Poor, poor makoto, sent off to his grave Situation's stay, hey, sent off to his grave.
And so siramay jumped down after him.

MCC 24 JUL 21
Green Guardians and Pink Parrots Part 1/2
Alright Iâm finally back! Iâm only half watching while I clean my room but itâs fine.
Iâm watching Fundyâs POV on my main screen and Ranbooâs on my phone where Iâm typing this.
Ranboo pre game stream letâs gooo.
Iâm so very entertained by the background Tubbo noises.
Heâs so happy. I donât know if I have it in my to watch Fundyâs POV even though Iâm cheering for the Green Guardians.
Sands of time. Letâs go!
We are going to hear these boys in each otherâs backgrounds.
This has âmom can we play Minecraft at our sleepoverâ vibe.
Philâs streaming. Where is the fox boyâŠ
Boys trying to out noise each other.
Please tell over to tubbo about how loud he is being. It would be funny.
Itâs so much fun watching this boy achieve his goals. I love watching people achieve their goals.
Actual MCC server!!!
Good time for screeny. Nobody is chilling.
BURGER!
I saw him! I saw that fox run past!
âAhhâ - Ranboo
âAaaaâ -Tubbo
âAhhhhâ -Ranboo
âAaaaâ -Tubbo
High school ish age boy in competitive scenario. This will be so much fun.
Microphone magic time!
Hey I hear the boys!
And it works well.
It does echo???? How???
âIt was a joint effort. I came up with some bad ideas you came up with the idea that works.â -Tubbo
Also known as every other group chat Iâve ever been in.
Lmanburg flag at rally?
What?
No. Letâs do free clout.
Ranboo being a problem.
Why is everyone in that VC?
What problems are these children causing.
Fundy is live! Where is my iPad time to dual wield streams.
Spatula???
Dual spatulas.
Itâs time to start!!!
Where is the fox?
You know. I might reverse it. I might have to watch Pink Parrots mainly and just ignore green guardians.
Iâm going to put Wilbur on my iPad so I can see the chaos man. Now to decide which POV Iâm listening to. Probably Ranboo. Wilbur on mine is slightly behind.
They asked if Wilbur was going change his skin? That never happens. He had to wear the sweater of shame at Christmas time.
I have them both almost perfectly sinced but itâs at the point it almost sounds echoed.
No itâs just tubbo who sounds echoed.
Nope canât get it to sync. Just listening on my speaker.
No surround sound here. Unless I get really board.
Manifesting the win?
Manifolding the win.
Bavid.
Time to annoy the other teams.
From here on Iâm going to try to be productive while I watch. Wait no. The music isnât in sync with the one Iâll mostly be watching.
Oh I forgot TapL was there. Nope itâs not syncing. Just going to have Ranboos on my phone be secondary.
Wilbur POV letâs go.
We trash talking. Look at them go.
Ahh. English area codes. What the enigma.ïżŒ
Letâs win pink parrots!!! How do I always end up cheering for this teamâŠ
I need to make pink parrot art.
Oh no. Just Wilbur.
Oh no. Itâs all Tubbo.
Wilbur reminds me of a good camp counselor motivating his team. Not like one of my coworkers.
My brother isnât home today so we canât have a watch party like we wanted.
My mom is confused with my and my brotherâs investment in MCC but we told her it was the national championships of Minecraft.
Oh poor Fundy tagging on the other side.
I need to remember to collect channel points.
Iâm sorry why is my internet acting stupid. Work you!
Pink and purple. The tween girls second most idea color pallet.
They are over motivating the Soot.
Thought Wilbur was going to explode from peer pressure there.
Yooo. I figured out how to watch Fundy! I can split screen my ipad between the app and the website. Tiny Fundy screen and big Wilbur screen and tiny Ranboo screen on my phone.
They canât warn fast enough.
Time to watch and ad and support Wilbur because it got too far behind for my liking while I fought with the tiny Fundy screen.
I need to put away the books Iâm pressing flowers in. But I donât want to mess up the flowers.
Wonder how soon Iâll have to start a new post because I ran out of bullet points.
Nah Iâm not keeping Fundyâs POV open. I want full screen Pink Parrots.
Music brain made the lyric connection.
I could drink 3 bottles of water every round.
The boys with the superior bladders.
What happened with Wilbur? What I didnât see anything happen with the stream.
Nox crew role play??? What?
Wait. Did red team just fall into the void?
What?
I found a skirt and Iâm wondering why I donât wear it more often.
It goes down to my knees I could even wear this to church.
Offhand wool!
Time to battle in the box!
Exciting death boots.
Go!!! Do wool! Get em!
Oh wow. They both died. At the same time.
They can hear the Tommy. Thatâs how well these dudes know one another.
Bragging on each other.
Everyone surprised that Wilbur is entering his old man years.
Woohoo!
Random history moments with Tubbo.
Woohoo (again)!
Ranboos just going to jinx it.
Oh no I need my charger!
Got my charger! Rejoined at âMinecraft butts make big⊠videosâ and am quite confused.
Skilled boys!!
Poof goes the Bur.
They beat Dream???
Casually refolding every bandana I own while watching battle box.
I found a peppermint tea bag.
Come on get mid! Noooo.
Pink parrots doing pretty good from what I see in MCC live.
I thought Ranboo had an actual burger on his face cam. I was so confused for a moment.
Yelling across the room casually.
Wilbur is back. You can hear him.
Wilbur is like a kid trying to get a duck out of the pond.
Sky battle?
Shake? Shake shake shake?
Oh no. Now all the chat is crying over Ghostbur. Myself included.
Pink parrots on top so far! Never mind that didnât last long.
Go Wilbur! Go Tubbo! Go Ranboo! Go TapL!
Wilbur go poof.
3rd atm.
Oh weâve gone down.
No he was not good. But he paved the way for TapL.
Weâre in 2nd?? Are the other teams dead or something?
If weâre going down and yelling timber.
4th. Not bad.
Woohoo!
Go green guardians!!
So proud of them.
Pants and Boots!
Still in 6th for sky battle.
Bless his heart TapL is so worried.
Red Rabbits and Green guardians are close.
My streams are out of sync. So confused.
Weâre in lead!!
WE WON!!!
My iPad is struggling with Willâs stream but itâs going!
Come on Parrots!
Alright got it up again. Got it up again.
If I were a streamer I wouldnât be good at MCC. I canât competitive properly. I just like making jokes and being goofy.
Not a good lead but oh well never mind we donât have the lead.
Red Rabbits YUM.
âDo not engageâ as they set off tnt.
Get those stupid rabbits! Or whoever is attacking. Iâve never been good at any sports.
First again!
Hold on guys!
They won!!! With Wilbur hovering on the edge of the void!!!
PINK PARROTS FIRST PLACE (for now but Iâm still excited)
Talented team!! Look at them go!
Get your screen shot little Y/N fan boy.
Not surprised weâre more popular than the olympics.
Had to go brag to my parents that there are more people watching MCC than the olympics. They were also not surprised.
Sands of Time. The wildcard game.
Sand sand sand sand.
We have a key for a vault already?
Putting away shoes. Nothing to make you be productive like watching Minecraft peeps play a competitive game.
âEverywhere is a way into somewhereâ
Come on boys.
Time to switch to Ranboos POV. See if I can spot that N with my grown up can spot things vision.
Nope donât see this mysterious letter.
TapL if you got nothing to do bother Ranboo to help him find that N.
Calm Tubbo. Tubbo chill.
Really. The map is broken and they are taking forever helping.
Key!!! Fight Fight Fight.
Ranboo apologizing.
If his team loses this kid will blame himself.
Go Tubbo and Ranboo.
Vault open!
Out of sand = prepare to book it.
1:30 (90 sec) letâs go.
Less than a minute. Evacuate!
Oh no Ranboo is lost. Hurry kiddo!
They made it?
They made it.
Off goes the Wilbur. Now to wait.
Come on pink parrots.
Is it bad I canât see sands of time coins in MCC live or am I just crazy?
5th. Better than I expected.
THEY ARE STILL FIRST???
Barely. But they are.
We get to vote now?!?
Quick to the voting!
I had to fight Twitter to vote.
The app didnât want to work.
Whatâs the acronym one?
Iâm sorry did I just hear that Wilbur taught Tubbo how to spell fuck?
Ranboo has the iron bladder.
I drank so much water but I just kinda do that.
Listen to Wilbur getting soft and encouraging Ranboo in his first game.
And Wilbur wanting him back. And planning to manipulate Scott.
Doesnât surprise me that Wilbur would manipulate Scott. I know he probably doesnât but still.
Look at all us audience beings.
Hooray David. I donât know who you are but sup.
Iâm sitting on a yoga ball to type and I about fell off. That wouldnât have been fun.
All of Wills chat blessing him.
David just did the vocal equivalent of đđ»
Ooo I found a dollar.
And of course Tubbo likes the olympics. Trampoline boy should love them.
Nooo. Not tubbo!
Whoopsy. There go the parrots.
Why does my Wilbur stream keep goofing. See this is why I donât actually liveblog I am so behind itâd be delayed anyway.
Instead of replacing with Phil replace with Kristen.
Keep it up Pink Parrots keep it up. *clap clap*
Where is my old cheerleading book?
Oh this is so behind. I saw ranboo fall on his POV then waited a few moments to see him on Wills.
Letâs reset it again for now. Look like itâs close. And I got an ad this time.
If it gets super behind again Iâm going to just switch to Ranboo on my iPad and see if that works.
Wills is slightly ahead now. Thatâs how I like it.
Wilbur is such a motivating human. I swear I keep thinking that Iâm hearing my coworkers encouraging campers at a kickball game or something.
Oh weâre dropping. But weâre still going.
How the actual hay are we still here.
Keep it up TapL!!
2nd!
300 and a bit to get back to first.
Look at Ranboo and Wilbur. So happy.
Ok singy boi with the ability to do one sound for a long time.
I want TapL on DSMP. It would be funny I like this guy. What does this guy stream? I want to start watching him.
Ace Race? I love ace race.
Ooo buildmart. Used to be my favorite but now no one hates it anymore.
I like least liked games. Least liked games act as great equalizers. No one is happy and itâs funny.
âYou have such a way with wordsâ -TapL (?)
âThanks Iâm a song writerâ -Wilbur
Why are we doing dramatic monologues?
Sounds neat. I like this deep story.
Who is dying? What? I zoned out for a minute.
Cant wait to see that audio appear on tiktok.
You go Wilbur. I believe in you.
You go Ranboo become a lover or hater of Ace Race.
âI keep on stabbing people in the butt with my forkâ -Ranboo
Again canât wait to see that audio appear on tiktok.
I love Wilburs angry âwhich glitchâ heâs experienced all of them.
No donât stop Wilburs channel! Iâll watch an ad but let me watch ace race.
Ranboo has learned to dislike ace race.
Feels like a achievement. You have made Ranboo hate ace race.
Tubbo did it! Whoop!
Good job Will!
Good Job team!
Second team to finish!!!
Wait it says they are in 3rd on MCC live?
Phil Head!
Hey 1st. Good job Parrots!
The perspective I watch doesnât matter. All I see is shifting at Wilbur either way.
Ranboo booked it.
Techno. Oh how we miss him. He was there last MCC but still.
Wait why are they in the soggy? I missed it?
Dunk tank?
End on build mart! Everyone sounded so sad! Iâm so happy! I picked the right team!
Oh acronym is terra swoop force!!! Go Philza.
Iâm practical shot who will win.
Pink Parrots doing actually pretty good according to MCC live.
Good job guys!
Resetting Wilburs stream while nothing is happening so I donât miss anything later.

chapter forty: among the living
âWe have got to take you to see Iron Maiden at some pointâthey're probably our biggest influence. Iron Maiden plus Journey and Rush.â
âWell, keep your eye on the tour dates, though,â she advised him. âSchool just barely started, so if there's any dates for spring break or the summer time, or better yetâbecause my birthday is coming upâfor that day, too.â
âI don't think anyone we like'll be playin' for your day of birthage,â he confessed, âbut rest assured, I'll be keeping my eye open for you. You and Belinda and Marla and Aurora and Zelda, too. We like our girls.â
It had been almost an hour since Joey and Sam had come to the cafe and at that point, the sun had begun to hang low outside. The snows were upon them once again and Sam wondered if she and Belinda could make it back home to the Bronx in time. If nothing, Joey could let the two of them bunk with him for the night. They both knew the way to his place now, and he had room there.
âI assume Black Sabbath, too,â she added as she took a sip of coffee.
âHell yeah! If we ever start getting big, like Metallica big, I hope we can weave our way into the world of Sabbath.â Joey took another large drink of that warm beany coffee and then he ran his fingers through his pitch black curls. Tiny smooth ringlets caressed the inside of his fingers.
âWhat exactly quantifies 'Metallica big'?â she asked him as she held the mug by the base with both hands.
âThey've kind of become the Scorpions at this point,â he explained. âThey're big in a sense that anyone inside of our circle and our scene knows exactly who they are. They're not like Madonna big in that everyone across the world knows who they are. If you go to like, San Francisco or Boston, and you mention Metallica to a regular ol' schlub, they couldn't tell you who they are. But if you saw a guy with long hair and mentioned them to him, he'd probably tell you who they are. Speaking of Boston, we gotta take you to see them, too. So much to do.â
âSo much to do and see and so little time,â she remarked.
âExactly!â
They fell back into silence for a moment so Joey could sip upon his coffee a bit more.
âSoâAurora told me of a newer band called Guns 'N Roses out of L.A.,â she recalled.
âMmm?â
âYeah. Sheââ It was really hard to say it was her who said it and not Eric, and she cleared her throat. ââshe said they're hard rock and kind of a refreshment from all the big hair.â
âCoolâI oughta check 'em out the next time we're at a record store. Althoughââ He peered over his shoulder to the doorway and his expression turned serious. ââI think there might be one here in town, to be honest.â
His brown eyes fixated on something on the other side of the room.
âWhat's up?â She turned to look and she recognized that long smooth dark hair as it fell down to the middle of his back. Smooth and dark and with a few waves embedded within: his coffee colored skin contrasted with the white of the snow outside. Right next to him was that full head of jet black hair wrapped up in a parka. For all Sam knew, Joey hadn't seen the gray stripe make a disappearance, but she also couldn't say that he didn't know it wasn't him.
She shifted her weight in her seat at the very sight of the serious look on his face. He dropped his gaze onto her and he sighed through his nose before he took another sip of coffee. She turned her head again and she gazed on at Alex as he adjusted the lapels of his big heavy parka; Chuck said something to him, but she couldn't hear a sound from him.
âOh, yeahâforgot they were here with us,â Joey grumbled.
âWho? Legacy?â She remembered the vow to keep it all a secret, especially since she, Aurora, Belinda, and Zelda were the only ones who knew about the name change.
âYeahâyou know, I don't bar grudges, so I have no problem with Chuck per se. But that boy, Louieâhe looks like he's up to trouble, especially from his experience with Zelda.â
âWhat makes you think that?â Sam had to resist breathing out a sigh of relief at that.
âThe biggest stoics are often hiding something. I say that because I'm a stoic myself.â
âSo you're implying that you're up to trouble?â She couldn't resist a little laugh at that.
âMaybe. We'll hang out more and maybe I'll show you.â He flashed her a wink and she raised her eyebrows at him. She returned to the two young men on the other side of the room; Alex peeled off his parka before he sank back into the corner there. Gray sliver nowhere to be seen, much to her relief.
âOr it could be because he's a drummer,â she pointed out. âDrummers know how to bang.â
âDrummers know how to bang, exactly!â He showed her another little lopsided grin. She took another glimpse over at Alex and his staring up at Chuck as he said something to him. He was rather lovely and he stood out from a crowd, and thus it made very little sense to her. But then again, it was dark when he and Joey got into that fight, and so she knew he couldn't recognize Alex by those deep steely eyes like she could.
Chuck then turned away and he headed across the warm wooden floor. He looked in her direction and he showed her a friendly little smile and a little wave.
Please don't come over here, Chuck, she said to herself as she returned the favor. Please don't come over here, please don't come over here, please don't come over here...
And lucky for her, he kept onward to the counter in front of them. But then she returned her gaze to Alex as he set his elbows up on the top of the seat and showed off his chest. She thought about the joke that Belinda had said to her, but then she returned to Joey, who finished off his cup of coffee right there.
âI still owe you a drawing of you,â she recalled.
âWhy?â he asked her with a puzzled look on his face. âYou made that painting of meâand by the way, I still have it in my car, too.â
âI want to do it better, though. I want to get you alone for a long time and without a shred of an interruption between us. I want to do it on paper, too. Joey, I've been teasing it to you. I want to give it to you.â
He ran his fingers through those ringlets again: she wished to feel his hair much like how she felt out Frank's hair in Charlie's closet. She turned her direction to the other side of the room again: those deep eyes watched her every move, or maybe he was looking past her to the wall behind Joey. She thought about the mysterious man in her dreams, how he seemed to watch her every move as well. The streak buried under the helmet of black and yet she could feel its ghost. Like the very dream himself.
A fever dream.
He nodded her an ever so slight nod and she showed him a friendly smile. It was the least she could do for him right then.
âYeah, I kinda wanna,â Joey piped up, such that it took her off guard. âLet's take a walk, too. I think the snow's stopped for a little bit.â
âSounds good,â she told him.
Without another word, they slid out from there and the noise of the cafe returned to them. Alex turned his attention to something on the other side of the room so Sam was able to lead Joey out of there. The gray had covered the sky yet again and the snow was upon them once again, and yet she wasn't ready to head on back to the hole in the wall.
âDid not like the way Louie was looking at you back there,â Joey confessed as they walked side by side to the corner.
âWhy?â
âI dunno, it just made me uncomfortable. The way he stared right through youâlike that undressing stare.â
âWhat do you mean 'undressing stare'?â she asked him, baffled; a part of her wanted to laugh at the notion that Louie was undressing her, especially since that wasn't even him. And then she realized just how clueless Joey was, in that he was under the influence of white wine when Louie told her that he and Zelda were on good terms with each other.
âHe was totally undressing you with his eyes,â he pointed out. âIt looked like he was undressing me a bit, too. I think his break up from Zelda's getting to him a bit. Although to be fair, I would've done the same if it were me. I can't imagine pain like that.â
âYou think a guy as good looking as him would be that desperate for attention?â
âYou think Louie's good looking?â
âYeah, I think he is.â She had to resist even more laughter right there.
âHuh. Well, I used to know this guy when I was playing hockeyâhe was pretty handsome, even by my own standards.â
âOh, live and let live, Joey! I won't give you a hard time if you think another guy's good looking.â
âOkay, he was pretty handsome, even for us funky looking hockey players. Never found a girl by the time I joined Anthrax and yet I could see it in him. He was getting desperate because all my other teammates were starting to get the eye from the girls in the neighborhood. Yeah, I can actually see it. Desperation comes in all shapes and sizes, you know. And the only other thing I know about it is it can hurt you. So I'd tread with caution around him.â
He then turned his head to her.
âI mean, it only makes sense,â he continued, âyou're protective of meâI should return the favor.â
Sam knew there was no point to it because it wasn't even Louie but she still gave him a smile. It was comforting to know that she and Joey could expound on their friendship from that point onward. Within mere seconds, they had reached the street corner and paused for a moment so as to look either way about the street.
âHey, there's that clearing you and I went to before when Stormtroopers toured up here,â he noted with a nod of his head.
âWhere?â
âRight over there.â
Sam then looked off to the left at that clearing by the lake, now as black as the hair on Joey and Alex's heads.
âIt's quite a crossing, though,â she remarked.
âIt's alrightâthere's no one comin'.â And yet Joey still looked both ways before he set a hand on her shoulder and guided her across the dark, wet pavement. A smooth blanket of freshly fallen white snow had fallen onto the grass, and if her memory rang true, Sam knew it was a bit too deep for their boots. They hovered there by the curb, right next to that smooth snow bank: the trees next to them drooped a bit with large clumps of snow that made her think of gingerbread houses. The black waters of the lake made her wonder if it was frozen over a bit.
They stood there next to each other in complete silence, and she wondered if it would snow at any given second. The gray over their heads seemed to beckon it for them.
âSo Kirk's getting married,â he finally said, much to her surprise.
âWhat!â she exclaimed. âWhen?â
âSome time in March.â Joey frowned at that. âWait a minute. No one told you?â
âNo!â
âShit. Well, if it's any comfort to you at all, I only just heard of it myself. Charlie mentioned it and Scott was like 'oh yeah!' and that was how I found out about it. I don't even know if I'm invited at all, to be honest. I had no ideaâI thought one of the girls told you.â
âThey didn't, no. Marla's got a packed schedule for this quarter so I can't really blame her for telling me if she knows about it.â
They froze in place.
âMaybe we can ask them about it?â she suggested to him.
âMaybe. Maybe. I dunno, to be honest.â He shrugged his slender shoulders at that and Sam huddled closer to his little body. He was wrapped up tight in a black overcoat but she could tell he was cold.
âI forget who it wasâmay've been Zelda who likened you to venom.â
âMy last name is Belladonna after all,â he pointed out.
âYou've injected me with your venom, JoeyâI'm obsessed with drawing you now!â
âNow you know why Anthrax wanted me. I guess I really truly am unforgettable.â He bowed his head and shrugged again.
âYou know what, Joey?â
âWhat's that?â
âI have my art supplies with me. As does Bel.â
He froze right in his tracks.
âWhat're you sayin'?â he teased her.
âWhat're you doing tonight?â she asked him.
âTonight? Eh, I'm probably just getting some dinner and then crash out for the night. Why?â
âLet's go back there to the studio and grab Belinda. I wanna do something for you.â
âUnder one condition, though,â he quipped.
âWhat's that?â
âYou promise to share that painting of me with everyone.â
âOf course, of course. Besides, Bel owes me forty bucks. I think we all have bets to pay off.â
âHell yeah, we do!â
âWellââ she nibbled on her bottom lip and she swore she felt a snowflake on her forehead. ââif I keep that promise for a bit longer, you have to tell me about your new album.â
âPromise that Belinda doesn't tell anyone about it?â
âShe's already sworn to secrecy aboutâsome other things,â she chose her words carefully once again. âSo I'm sure she can for you.â
She extended her pinky finger to him and he linked it up with her.
âAlright then,â he said in a soft voice. âNowâlet's get outta this snow. I feel it upon us.â
âI do, too...â
Joey set his hand on her shoulder once again as they made their way back to the hole in the wall, where Belinda had stumbled outside with Zelda.
âThe producer wanted us out,â Zelda explained once they came within earshot. âIt was getting too cold in there, too.â
âOh, I see,â Sam nodded her head. âI assume Aurora's in there, too?â
âYeah, she is,â Belinda replied as she tucked her hands into her jacket pockets. âShe's with the label and they just need one other person in there so she offered to take it up.â
âHey, Bel,â Sam piped up again, ââhow would you feel if I told you Joey and I wanna take you back to his place for a bite to eat and a bit of fun?â
âI'd love to! What're we eatin' and doing afterwards?â
âA three way,â Zelda joked, and the three of them burst out laughing at that.
âI'll tell you when we get there,â Sam promised her as she set a hand on Belinda's shoulder.
âWe better hustle, though,â Joey advised them with a rub of his nose. âThe snow's coming.â
âOkayâyou gonna be alright, Zelda?â Belinda asked her.
âOh, yeah. I'm tough, Bel.â
âTough little Rhode Island girl,â Sam added with a wink.
âI've gotta get sump'n for Rose, anyway,â Zelda assured them.
Joey, Sam, and Belinda climbed into the latter's car and they headed back to Camillus. As they skirted around the edge of Syracuse, the lake effect snow began to fall over them. Belinda tapped on the brakes a little bit as the freeway widened out to four pitch dark lanes.
âI'm used to the bad snows up here,â he confessed at one point, âbut I don't blame ya for going kinda slow, Belinda. I would, too, 'cause I got a couple'a girls with me.â
Sam nestled down at the front seat at the sound of that. She relished in the blast of warm air from the heater vents: she knew she could go into her twenty second year on earth with a good feeling inside of her and with Joey right next to her. If nothing, they could be friends forever much like herself and Frank. And yet, every so often, he took a glimpse over to her with that little lopsided smile on his face.
They slept across from each other in the cabin and she had seen him naked. Such a strange place to be but she assured herself that it was strictly friendship. But she was about to see him in the buff yet again, or at least that was her hope.
They soon rolled up to that usual parking spot around the corner from his apartment. Snowflakes rained down over them and dusted the crowns of their heads: the highest curls upon Joey's head somewhat resembled to the buried streak over Alex's forehead. Once he unlocked the front door and stepped inside, he shook his head about so the snow fell onto the carpet before him. He peeled off his coat and lay it over the arm of his couch; he ran his hand over the crown of his head again to get rid of the rest of the snow.
âDon't you wanna hang up your coat first?â Sam asked him as she took off her coat.
âAnd lug it up them stairs?â he joked to her as Belinda shut the door behind her.
âIt's just going up the stairs and then coming back down. Take ya a minute.â
âWow,â Belinda breathed out once they were inside there.
âWhat?â Joey raised his eyebrows at her.
She crouched down for a better look at the record collection there on that side of the room.
âOh, yeah, his little library of records,â Sam declared.
âWow!â Belinda breathed out as she smoothed her blonde hair back over her shoulder. âSome of these I haven't really seen before! Like that Cheap Trick album.â
âGot that for a nickel at a little place over in Schenectady,â he told her as he kept going into the kitchen. Sam then turned back to Belinda.
âIs the car still unlocked?â she asked her in a low voice.
âYeah.â Belinda raised her gaze to her. âWhy? What's up?â
Sam crouched down next to her and lingered close to her face so it looked as though they were talking about the records.
âI made a promise to Joey to draw him,â she whispered to her.
âOh. Why are we whispering?â
âBecause I didn't tell him when I'd do it for him. I want it to be a surprise.â
âOh, I see. Are we talking watching him to draw him or are we talking having him in the buff?â
âIn the buff?â
âOh, shitââ
âHey, what would you girls like?â Joey called to them from the kitchen.
âFor dinner?â Sam called back to him.
âYeah. We can just order some take out because I don't really have much.â
âOh, yeah, that's rightâyou guys had been on the road.â
âExactly, and the label isn't paying us diddly squat, either.â
âWell, we don't really have much on us, either,â Belinda pointed out as she stood to her feet and peeled off her coat. âI have yet to get my grant dispersement.â
âYeah, me, tooâand my counselor Bill isn't telling me anything,â Sam confessed.
âHe won't tell me shit, either.â
Joey stood at the counter with a hand on a glass of water.
âSounds like we're all struggling,â he muttered.
âWe've got each other, though,â Sam recalled what Lars had said to her. âBy the wayâI didn't tell Belinda this yet butâwhatever we do for dinner, even if it's nothing, because I have to admit that I can't stop thinking about this, Joey.â
âWhat's that?â
Sam took a glimpse over at Belinda, who then raised her eyebrows back at her.
âStrip for us, Joey,â Sam told him, and Belinda herself giggled at that. Joey gaped at her, but she snapped her fingers twice at him.
âC'mon, c'mon,â she coaxed him, and a soft pink bloomed in his otherwise dark face.
âShe obviously wants to do it, Joey,â Belinda said with one hand up to her mouth. He swallowed and then he reached down to the waist of his jeans.
âCome on, big boyâlet's do it.â
âWhoa, where'd this come from?â he chuckled at her as he adjusted his belt a bit.
âHey, you said it yourselfâI'm a girl with a man's name next to a girl who slithers about. Get on it.â
âWell, I gotta actually strip for you,â he pointed out.
âDo it, Joey!â Sam exclaimed with a clap of her hands.
âYeah, do it, Joey!â Belinda joined in.
He sighed through his nose and drank down the rest of his water. He set the glass down on the counter and he held onto the bottom hem of his sweatshirt. He peeled it off and showed off his slender dark skinned body. Sam thought back to when they were at the lake and it was just her and him. But this time, she had Belinda next to her.
âWant me to get our stuff?â she asked Sam.
âIf you don't mind at all,â she replied, and she couldn't resist the grin on her face. Belinda then clapped her hands and she ducked back outside to the snow and the cold gray. Sam brought her attention back to Joey, who had lay his shirt on the other arm of the couch.
âDidn't have to get a bit of booze in you at all this time,â she remarked.
âDon't really need it,â he told her, again with that lopsided grin on his face. âI know I can trust you now, Sam I am.â
He unfastened his belt and his jeans and he let them fall to the floor around his feet.
âSpeaking of trust, if I get naked again for you two girls, do you promise not to tell anyone about the new album?â
âJoey, I'm an assistant to Auroraâyou know I'm not gonna do such a thing,â Sam scoffed.
âI'm more concerned about her, though.â
âJoey, I assure you Bel's secretive. She can keep it all under wraps.â
He nibbled on his bottom lip, and he stepped out from his jeans and towards the chair in the middle of the room. He held onto his underwear in anticipation of Belinda returning with the paper and the ink pens. Sam held onto them for her so she could take off her coat and lay it on top of Joey's coat there on the arm of the couch. It seemed so easy to her to just run upstairs and hang them up, but it was better to leave them there because the real important thing was right in front of them.
Sam and Belinda then took their seats with their drawing pads and their pencils in hand.
âGo ahead, Joey,â the former coaxed him, and he sighed through his nose. She could tell he was hungry from the faint pale tone to his otherwise dark skin. But he slid down his underwear and Belinda raised her eyebrows at him.
âOkay. We're calling it Among the Living and we're dedicating it to Cliff. That's as far as I know. Scott, Frankie, and Charlie all wrote up the songsâI just haveta sing 'em.â
Sam gasped at that. She set down her drawing pad on the cushion and she lunged for him with her arms wide open. She held his nude body close to her. She couldn't resist the tears from falling right there. Her body shuddered and Joey gingerly ran his hands up her back.
âDo you like it?â he asked her in a muffled voice; he raised his head from her chest and spat out a piece of lint from her sweatshirt.
âDo I like it? It just made my life!â
âEasy nowâyou just might make another life right there,â Belinda warned them, but Sam still held onto Joey. She didn't want to let him go. She wanted to feel every inch of him. Feel every inch and draw every inch for the world to see. She wanted everyone to know that she loved Joey and she loved him far more than she had ever dreamed of.
But she let go of him and she brushed away a tear, and he sat back down on the chair. His toned thighs spread out a little bit and his slim waist was still slim and delicate.
âI like that name, too,â she told him in a broken voice, âwhat is it again, Among the Living?â
âAmong the Living, yeah.â
âItâs like weâre living in a world that Cliff didnât get to see,â Belinda noted.
âA brand new chapter of sorts,â Joey added. âKinda roundabout, but yeah.â
âI hope you can hold up for this round, Joseph,â Sam admitted, âIâm starting to feel really hungry now...â

Skies on Fire
Author: Lopithecus Pairing: Evan âBuckâ Buckley/Eddie Diaz Rating: General Audiences Word Count: 2905 Alternate: AO3 Summary: "'Okay, Mister âI donât like the 4th of July.â Whatâs your opinion on fireworks?' Chim asks.
Eddie shrugs and scrunches up his nose in that way Buck finds adorable. 'Theyâre loud.'"
It's the 4th of July and Eddie hates fireworks. Warnings:Â
PTSD
Mild Hurt/Comfort
Eddie Diaz has PTSD
Author's Note: I canât believe no one has written a 4th of July Buddie fic (that I could find using the search function at least. If there is one, please send me a link because I would love to read it.) So, obviously I had to write one myself. Enjoy!
Buck loves the 4th of July. He loves the excitement that it instills in everyone, he loves the celebration of it, the food that is served during the cookouts, and most importantly, Buck loves the fireworks that are set off at night. Overall, the day is usually filled with good spirits and lots and lots of food.
The first year Buck was in L.A. for the 4th of July, Bobby had hosted it at the firehouse, cooking for the entire team. The second year, Athena had hosted it at her house, inviting Buck, Hen, Chimney, Maddie, and Eddie over for the cookout in which, again, Bobby was cooking. Eddie, however, had declined the invite, claiming he was going to spend it with his own family but when Buck asked Christopher about it later, Christopher had informed him that Eddie had not gone with him to his Abuelaâs and that Pepa had brought Christopher there. When he then questioned Eddie about it, the man had completely avoided answering. Buck filed it away as an Eddie Diaz mystery heâll probably never get an answer to and moved on. This year, they all are scheduled to work.
Buck struts into the station, clothes bag slung over his shoulder. Itâs going to be a long 24-hour shift but Buck isnât going to let that ruin his mood. Bobby had promised to cook for everyone again and heâs honestly looking forward to it. Plus, if theyâre lucky, theyâll be out on a call, outside, when the fireworks start. Of course, Buck doesnât want a life-threatening call to happen just so he can watch the fireworks, but if thereâs a scared cat stuck up in a tree then heâll take it.
He walks into the locker room where Hen, Chimney, and Eddie are already halfway through changing. Buck tries to not watch Eddie as the other man gets dressed, approaching his own locker to get into his uniform. âWhoâs ready for the 4th of July rush?â Buck asks enthusiastically, giving a quick glance towards Eddie who is currently shirtless.
Eddie gives him a wary, curious look. âWhat do you mean?â
âPeople are dumb on the 4th of July,â Hen answers for Buck as Buck forces himself to look away from Eddie and opens his locker to start changing. âThereâs always more calls than on a usual day because people like to set off fireworks that they got illegally or play with firecrackers that end up blowing up in their hand or in their face or in their pants.â
Eddieâs head tilts at that last statement, blinking in confusion. âTheir pants?â
Hen shakes her head. âYou donât want to know.â
Buck chuckles, shucking off his pants and pulling on his uniform bottoms. âI love the 4th of July.â
âMore like you love Capâs cooking,â Chimney states from behind him, shutting his locker a little too loudly.
âI do,â Buck agrees, pulling his shirt off and turning to Chimney. âBut I also love everything else to do with the 4th of July.â
âHere we go,â Hen mumbles.
Buck turns to her, smile in place. âCome on Hen, you have to agree that fireworks are awesome.â
Hen gives him a small smile. âOkay, the 4th of July isnât that bad but I just hate how stupid people get during it.â
âWell, Iâm with Buck,â Chimney says. âI love the 4th of July. Itâs one of the few days you actually have a valid excuse to get absolutely drunk off your ass.â
Buck turns to Eddie. âEddie?â
Eddie looks up from where he was studying his button up to his uniform. âHmm?â
Buck smiles at him. âDo you like the 4th of July?â
âI hate it.â
All of them look at Eddie with surprise. Buckâs eyes go wide in shock. âWhat! No, Eddie, no one can hate the 4th of July!â
âIâm pretty sure other countries hate it, Buck,â Hen comments.
âOkay, if youâre an American, you canât hate it,â he amends. âYouâre, like, obligated to like it.â
Eddie watches Buck as he slides on his button up. âSorry, Buck, but I just donât like the 4th of July.â
âBut why?â he asks but Eddie just shrugs. âOkay, what about fireworks? Everyone loves fireworks. Hen?â
Hen finishes tying her boots and stands. âTheyâre pretty, I guess.â
âCome on, Hen!â Buck pouts at her. âI love fireworks! Theyâre amazing, you know! With all the colors and how big they can get.â
âThey do have a certain appeal to them,â Chim mentions with a small laugh before turning towards Eddie who is staring absently into his locker. âOkay, Mister âI donât like the 4th of July,â whatâs your opinion on fireworks?â Chim asks.
Eddie shrugs and scrunches up his nose in that way Buck finds adorable. âTheyâre loud.â He quickly looks at all of them before turning back to his locker to dig around in it.
Buckâs heart drops as realization starts setting in while Hen huffs a laugh, heading towards the door. âYeah, and they scare animals all over.â She leaves the room, Chimney following her with an amused smile, both apparently oblivious to what Eddie is implying.
Buck watches them go, frown now set in place on his face. Turning back to Eddie, he watches silently as the man continues to dig through his locker, looking slightly panicked. Buck thins his lips, deep in thought, before reaching into his own locker and picking up a small packet of earplugs. He walks over to Eddie and holds them out. âHere.â
Eddie looks down at them, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. His eyes lift to Buck. âHowâd you know?â
Buck shrugs. âGood guess.â Eddie gives him a thankful smile and takes the earplugs, fiddling with the package.
Eddie gestures towards his locker, not meeting Buckâs eyes. âI thought I had brought some but I guess I forgot. Why do you have some?â
Buck smiles at him reassuringly. âI wear them when I try to get some sleep here. I can still hear the bell if it goes off but not everything else.â Eddie nods at his explanation and Buck wishes he could make this easier on Eddie. Heâs obviously feeling a little embarrassed. âWhat did you do last year?â Buck tries, hoping he wonât be shot down this time.
Eddie sighs heavily and shuts his locker, shoving the earplugs into his pocket for later. âI closed all the windows in the house, turned on the TV full volume, and blasted music in my ears.â
âDid it work?â Eddie just shrugs. âAre you going to be okay? Iâm sure Bobby wouldnât care if you went home.â
Eddie shakes his head, walking past Buck. âI canât let this dictate my life, Buck. You guys need me today so Iâm going to be here.â
âBut Eddie-â
âNo, Buck,â Eddie stops him. âIâll be fine.â He walks away then, clearly ending the conversation there.
*~~~*
As Hen had predicted, itâs a busy day. Since eight in the morning to eight at night, there have been fifteen calls. From fires to car accidents to people having firecrackers blow up in their faces, everything that is going to happen seems to be happening. They are just getting back from their last call of a child stuck up in a tree that the nine-year-old decided to climb up, when they get another call of a possible drowning in a pool.
Buck has noticed how on edge Eddie has been all day; quiet, more so than usual, and hyperaware of his surroundings. He canât seem to relax and as Buck sits next to him on the firetruck, he can feel just how stiff Eddie is holding himself. He wishes he knew how else to calm his best friend down but knows that anything he says wonât help in the slightest.
Buck nudges Eddieâs shoulders, getting his attention. âHey, you might want to put the earplugs in now. The fireworks are going to be starting soon.â
Eddie nods and reaches into his pocket. He frowns, removes his hand, and reaches into his pocket on the other side. This hand also comes out empty. âThey must have fallen out at some point.â
Buck is frowning now as well, full of concern. âYou going to be okay?â
Eddie nods curtly. âYeah, Iâll be fine.â
Buck can feel Bobbyâs eyes on them from the front, the older man glancing over his shoulder. Neither he nor Eddie acknowledges Bobbyâs look. Buck figures Bobby has probably figured out the problem already anyway.
It doesnât take them much longer to arrive on the scene. Hen and Chimney pull the ambulance around, parking it in a way that will make transporting the injured party into the vehicle easier. They all rush over to the scene, following the wife of the man who almost drowned.
They get to work right away, Chimney doing chest compressions as Hen and Eddie work on hooking him up to fluids and air. The husband comes back quite quickly to everyoneâs relief and coughs up water. Moving him onto a backboard and then to a gurney, they all make their way over to the ambulance, loading the man in and letting the wife follow. She says her thanks and Chimney shuts the back doors, Hen driving away with the sirens blaring. Overall, itâs a smooth mission and nothing goes wrong.
That is, until the first firework booms in the air, bright and loud.
Eddie flinches so violently, that he knocks into Buck, and, Buck not having expected that, they both go tumbling down to the ground. Buck lands on his bottom, catching himself with his hands and causing pain to shoot up into his arms from his wrists. Bobby is crouching in front of them, asking them if heâs okay and another firework soars in the night sky and explodes in a beautiful hue of blue.
Buck ignores Bobbyâs questioning and turns to Eddie who is also sitting on the ground except that his legs are drawn up close to him and his head is dipped between his knees with his hands covering his ears. Heâs stiffened up even more than he has been all day and Buck can see tremors running through his body. Buck scrambles up, reaches out to touch Eddie, but then stops short. He quickly pulls his hand back.
âEddie?â he begins gently. âEddie, itâs Buck. Can you hear me?â
Eddie doesnât give Buck an answer, doesnât even look up at him, but Buck can hear Eddieâs heavy breathing and quiet sobs. Bobby places a hand on Buckâs shoulder, getting his attention. âI need to get back. You got this?â Buck nods. âWhen heâs back, bring him home. You two can end your shift early.â
âAre you sure?â Buck asks.
Bobby nods towards Eddie. âTake care of him.â He then gets up and leaves, giving Eddie one last concerned look. Buck knows that if Bobby could, he would stay too, but he canât. Not on one of their busiest days.
Buck watches Bobby leave before turning his attention back to Eddie. âEddie? Can I touch you?â Still, he gets no answer. âIâm going to touch your knee, okay?â
More fireworks are shooting up in the sky, getting closer to the grand finale. He knows they arenât helping the situation at all. Another loud and bright firework makes Eddie flinch again and his entire body shudders as a whimper escapes from his mouth.
Buck slowly stretches his arm out, gently placing a hand on Eddieâs knee. Eddie doesnât react to it, doesnât look up at Buck but also doesnât jerk away from the touch so Buck figures it must be fine to do so. He continues to talk to Eddie, keeping his voice low and calm. âEds, youâre out on a call. Youâre in someoneâs backyard, near the pool. What you are hearing are fireworks. They are not bombs, youâre no longer in Afganistan, youâre safe.â
The finale to the fireworks starts up and Eddie curls into himself more, pulling away from Buckâs hand. Buck doesnât try to touch him again, waits the finale out, and then tries again when everything settles.
âEddie, itâs still Buck. Can you hear me?â A small nod. âOkay, listen to my voice. Again, you are not in Afganistan anymore. Youâre in L.A. and those were fireworks, not bombs. Youâre safe. Iâm here. Youâre not in danger.â Eddie lifts his head some but doesnât look at Buck. His eyes are far away, not really focusing on anything. âCan I touch you again?â Another small nod. Buck crawls a little closer, places a hand on Eddieâs shoulder.
âCan you feel the ground?â Eddie nods. âCan you feel my hand?â Again, a nod. âOkay, what do you see? What do you see around you, where youâre safe?â
It takes Eddie a few tries and Buck repeating the question again before he can answer him. âYou.â
âWhat else?â
Eddie swallows and lifts a shaky hand to wipe the tears away. Heâs still not very focused, blinking rapidly. âYou.â
âOkay,â Buck says, moving on. âWhat can you hear. Can you hear me?â
âYes.â
âWhat else can you hear? What else can you hear in this backyard where youâre safe? Where youâre safe with me? Youâre safe.â
Eddieâs eyes flutter shut and his face scrunches in agony. âOpen your eyes,â Buck tells him and he does. âCan I hug you?â Eddie nods and Buck maneuvers himself so heâs sitting down at an angle to Eddie, wrapping his arms lightly around the smaller man. He wants to be sure Eddie can still see him but also ground him more in the present by giving him more physical touch. âNow what can you hear besides my voice?â
Eddie is still shaking but his muscles relax. Still he doesnât answer Buck, staring off into the distance. âEddie?â Eddie snaps back.
âThe pool. I can hear theâŠâ a long pause as Eddie blinks. âThe pool.â
âOkay, good. Can you hear the water in the pool?â
âYeah.â
âCan you still hear me?â
âYeah.â
âWhat can you smell?â Buck asks, moving onto the next sense. âWhat do you smell around you, here and now?â He carefully rubs a hand up and down Eddieâs bicep, gauging Eddieâs reaction. He doesnât reject the movement so Buck continues doing it.
âI can smellâŠâ Again, Eddie quiets, staring at the ground. His body is relaxing though so Buck decides that what he is doing must be working at least a little.Â
âEddie, what do you smell?â he asks again.
Eddie blinks, doesnât answer, and Buck asks for the third time. âI smell your cologne or⊠or deodorant.â He sinks into Buck, blinking slowly. âI smell⊠I can smell the pool. Freshly cut grass.â
âGood, now I want you to describe to me, if you could choose any place, where would you want to be at this very moment?â Buck chuckles. âIt doesnât even have to be attainable.â
Eddie licks his lips, rubs a hand slowly over his knee, and looks like he might dissociate again but then he starts talking, voice slow and slightly slurred. âAt home with Christopher and you.â
âYeah?â Buck smiles. âWhat would we be doing?â
Eddie does dissociate again, staying quiet for several minutes before Buck can get him back and ask the question once more. âWatching a movie.â
âWhat movie?â
âI donât know.â
âDescribe to me the scene youâre thinking.â
Eddieâs hand rubs over the ground and he lifts his hand to look at his palm. He stares at it for a few seconds before placing it down on the ground again. Buck repeats what he said. âChristopher would be sitting on the floor in a heap of blankets. You and I would be on the couch, sitting close.â
âLike this?â
Eddie nods. âYeah. One of us would be holding the other andâŠâ he trails off.
Buck runs a hand through Eddieâs hair, deciding to end it there. âCan you stand?â
Eddie swallows and nods. They both stand up, Eddie swaying in his spot. Buck can tell heâs not entirely back with him, the other man looking around his surroundings as if confused as to where he is. Buck orders an Uber and when it arrives, he carefully guides Eddie inside it.
They arrive at Eddieâs place and Buck immediately transports Eddie to his bed, helping him to undress and lie down in it. âYouâre home now, Eddie. Do you know where you are?â
âHome,â he answers. âIâm home.â Heâs coming back now, getting more alert. Still, he looks exhausted with his eyes droopy and slow movements. âThank you for helping me, Buck.â
Buck sits down on the edge of the bed and runs a hand through Eddieâs hair. âIâve got your back, Eddie.â He shrugs. âAnd next year, weâll be more prepared. No more losing the earplugs.â
Eddie chuckles at that, eyes sparkling with amusement. âDeal.â
They stare at each other for a long time before Buck finally asks, âDo you want to talk about it?â
Eddie shakes his head. âNo.â Buck nods, accepting that answer. âBut I would like it if you stayed.â
âYeah, of course, Iâll stay.â
âNo, I mean in the bed.â
âWith you?â Buck asks.
âI feel safer with you.â Eddie is avoiding eye contact but the statement makes Buck smile nonetheless.
âIâll stay, then.â
Eddie smiles, small and soft, eyes closing slowly. âThank you.â
Buck leans down and presses a kiss to Eddieâs temple. âAlways.â
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
A/N:Â And there you have it. Though I do think fireworks are pretty I also think they are obnoxious and loud, and, since they are literally bombs going off in the air, I canât imagine Eddie not having some kind of reaction to them.
Thank you to this website that helped me write what Buck should do for Eddie during his flashback.
Thank you for reading!

Diamonds and Voodoo
You Do Voodoo
A mysterious visitor comes to Morioh. Paths diverge and intertwine with the various townfolks of this crazy, noisy bizarre town. And it all started with a good deed touched by a bit of magic.
Good deeds tend to create ripples throughout what we know as life. Sometimes an act of kindness can lead to great rewards. At rare times the road to hell is often paid with good intentions. Nevertheless, this type of charity has a habit of changing the future of one or many individuals. For sometimes, a grand adventure begins with that very act of kindness.
"Look out!" Morioh, a small town amongst the middle of nowhere quite unlike many cities found in Japan. A type of place that tends to be quiet but also hosts some oddities within its dwellings. Unlike many small towns, Morioh would become ground zero for a strand of very bizarre events and each with their own level of danger.
A car was parked awkwardly sideways between the road and crosswalk. Upon closer inspection, this was a crash as the front end was inward from the telephone pole currently wedged inside the bright red metal. To the side was an abandoned bicycle alongside a police officer and what many from this town could call a foreigner. The officer holded the visitor close to his chest almost awkwardly, the telltale of being grabbed.
The officer was an older and surprisingly buff male, darkened grey hair hidden under his cap, eyes that had a natural glint of kindness despite the concern now shining for the person in their arms. A would-be victim of the car accident was a young woman around her late teens, between 16 or 17 from the bits of remaining baby fat still left on her face.
Her skin was slightly tanned in a more climate related basis, such as sun exposure than natural skin tone, hair a short messy lime green hidden under the top jaw of a dinosaur-esque skull, a 5'8 body that was slim, lean and had moderate bust along with curves, but it was her eyes and her arms that drew the most attention.
The young woman's arms were decorated in wavy almost vine patterned tribal markings with a four toes pad on each shoulder and her eyes had a unique case of heterochromia with the right being a normal orange but the entire left eye was blue except for a single white pupil. Her outfit consisted of dark blue fingerless gloves, red sneakers, light brown cargo shorts, a black bra and opened orange vest outlined in red.
"You okay there missy? That car almost hit you if I didn't pull you away in time." The officer questioned, his voice soft and kind in a sort of grandfatherly way. She merely looked up at him with a large impish smile. Not even scared or off-put that a speeding car almost made the teen paste on the street.
"I'm good mister! Just glad no one else got hurt either. Car accidents aren't something normal folks can handle and I rather get hurt than somebody else! I'm more than capable of taking some nasty hits!" The woman's peppy, slightly loud and light chuckle paired with the slightly morbid words had thrown the officer for a loop before he strangely found himself chuckling too.
"Hahaha. Well aren't you an odd but thoughtful young lady? I wish some of my friends on the force had that kind of energy. Everyone's been down as of late and honestly needs a pep talk or two." The greenette looked at his badge for a moment as if scanning for his name. Something that was quick to find apparently as it read 'Ryohei Higashitaka'.
With that in hand, she then reached into the pocket of her cargo while silently whispering his name. The officer or Ryohei honestly looked a bit surprised when the youth produced a peculiar item. It was a small brown wooden charm carved into a smiling mask. The mask was painted with red lips, yellow with green outlined eyes, large reddish eyebrows and four small feathers ranging from yellow, orange, purple and red.
"Please take this mister as a sign of gratitude. It's a good luck charm carved into the likeness of Aku-Aku, a spirit of protection. This charm shall ward off a great disaster in your future." The older man took the odd charm with a soft smile and looked it over. He softly chuckles before patting her head.
"Why thank you! It's pretty adorable and well crafted! I'll make sure to keep it close. Good luck is something a lot of people nowadaysâŠ" His eyes widened a bit upon realization. "Whoops! Careless me! I forgot to ask for a name. I am Ryohei Higashitaka, an officer of the Morioh Police Department. What's your name missy? I need it to file a report for ya and if you want to press charges." She merely gave an impish smile with a bit of her tongue sticking out.
"It's Taki-Taki, Taki-Taki Bandicoot."
Budo-ga Oka Middle and High School, one of the few schools within Morioh. A joint school where grades between 6 and 11th are together instead of being separate. It was also a place that had a quite an amount of delinquents which make up some of the school's student body.
Walking towards this destination from the local town square was a mountain of a man in very odd clothing. Hair was jet black and well groomed, eyes a bright ocean blue, body sculpted like a Greek God from every single inch out of 6'5 and a natural scowlish look on his face. Nearly all his clothes, from his coat, pants, shoes and torn back hat with golden pins stylized to spell Jo were white except for the man's shirt which was pitch black.
The man was currently looking over a paper, a report or letter from highly detailed it was in both text and a few select photos. His brows wrinkled in aggravation before muttering a soft 'Yare Yare Daze' under his breath. "Godamnit old man. You're too old to be causing this type of bullshit." He hissed, rough, husky and slightly aggravated tone to his voice making a few people steer clear of his vicinity.
Well⊠not just that. Unknown to the raven in question, there was something odd looking over his shoulder. This peculiarity was a mask of sorts. It looked vaguely human but the light blue material used to craft it was spectral from how it softly glow like wisps in the night sky.
An Aztec type crown at the top with four flat points as if it was a piece from a gear, large carved ears with faint spiral at the center, pure white eyes and mouth outlined in mauve, and the same mauve color to imitate flat eyebrows. Bystanders seeing the mask either quickened their step or blamed this bizarre sight as 'too much coffee' or 'no more liquor in the morning.'
"Huh. Guess an old man in his late 60s can get laid. Oh, so that's where the gardens are!" The young man nearly bit his tongue in shock from both the raspy, light and almost nerdy sounding male voice but also the fact it came from a floating tiki mask that took a closer look at his document.
He couldn't get a word out of his mouth as the mask flew off with surprising speed. "A Stand?! That means there's a Stand User nearby! You ain't getting away from me!" A bright golden aura began to burn around the adult upon giving chase to the airborne oddity. On the sidewalk, the man's shadow grew with the addition of a more peculiar one.
A few minutes passed when the chase was called off upon the mask being too far in the air to pursue, the extra shadow vanished as the adult male let a growl in annoyance. He lowers his hat with a curse. "Damn it. If that thing's responsible for the recent incidents going on in this townâŠ" The man then went to a payphone before dialing in a number.
"This is Jotaro Kujo. Tell the heads of the Speedwagon Foundation that there is confirmed Stand activity in Morioh. Look into the database about a Stand in shape of a glowing blue mask and the possibility if it's connected to Dio." The phone was slammed down as the white coat of the man fluttered while he left.
"Poke!" A finger poking the little snout of a box turtle that had swam up from the water of the makeshift pond seated by a small bus stop. Sitting on the curb of the pond beside was the odd Taki-Taki, currently petting the small reptilian much to its pleasure. "You're a handsome turtle, aren't you? Much nicer than the big ones back home." She cooed while the turtle rubbed itself against her hand clearly in love with the kind contact.
A little whimper had the young woman look around in utter confusion. Soft heterochromia eyes soon met bright baby blue ones tinged with a bit of fear. That fear directed to the little reptile nipping at the greenette's fingers.
A 5'11 muscular young man with blue violet hair tended neatly into a large pompadour, a dark violet gakuran pinned with a yellow heart and gold peace on each side of his chest, sunshine yellow shirt that peeked through the gap of his uniform coat, and dark boots were the owner of these baby blue orbs.
"You okay? Look like you're about to pee yourself." Taki-Taki questioned upon the fidgeting male still looking at the turtle as if it tried to eat him. He immediately calmed down a bit now noticing he wasn't exactly alone, cheeks dusting a bright red. "I'm so sorry! Reptiles just give me the willies that's all, mostly turtles." His soft and slightly rough almost if still adjusting practically rattled with nervousness.
She merely chuckled whilst waving off any concern. "It's alright! Everyone is afraid of something so no harm done. Plus this little handsome fellow is much more kinder than the ones I've seen in Turtle Woods. Those turtles were mean and one tried to steal my hat!" Her spare hand pointed at the dinosaur skull on her head since the other was still petting the shelled reptile.
The pompadour wearing young man shivered upon the two words 'Turtle Woods' but was honestly thankful that she wasn't making fun of him for his phobia. Taki-Taki then stood up whilst petting the turtle's head one more time. "I better go! Promised to get some stuff with my friend Lani-Loli and we're supposed to meet up at the gardens! Chou!" And she was gone with a pep to her step.
"My name is Josuke Higashitaka⊠And she's gone. Maybe I'll see her again." The sound of male cursing grew as the purple pomp prince noticed a bunch of male students coming over to him. Delinquents from their rude, downlooking and glaring faces, something that only made him sigh. Days like these tend to suck.
The Higashitaka household, home to the Higashitaka family which consisted of the older police officer Ryohei, his daughter but also single mother Tomoko and Tomoko's son Josuke. A lively place from the unique personalities of the three living inside. Well, it wasn't like this right now.
Peculiar water slipping away from the house window almost like a cobra finished with their prey. A fact so true upon the still body of the family matriarch lying lifeless on the floor. Face carved in blood coated horror slowly changes to a pristine clean outlook through a soft golden aura. Almost if the man died in his slumber and not of gruesome supernatural murder.
The golden aura belonging to a bubblegum arm coated in crystalline diamond armor soon vanishes inside the body of Josuke. Behind Josuke was Jotaro, the man clad in white being a relative, his nephew shockingly taken into consideration that his grandfather was the pomp prince's father. Who knew?
And the older man could only look at the teen that was his uncle trying to coax his dead grandfather back to life with sympathetic pity. Aquamarine eyes that always seemed stuck in a perpetual glare now softened at the scene. The look of someone who had seen a death like this before. Or to be more precise, had experienced such a grizzly sight.
Jotaro knew that this wasn't the time for grief fueled hysterics. There were more pressing matters and dangers ready to drown them from the inside. "JosukeâŠ" Any further words from the older man, alongside any actions from the teen immediately stopped upon one thing. Subtle movement originating from the chest of the officer's corpse before them.
A sickly sweet scent reminiscent of cherries filled the air along with the soft sizzle of something burning. Thin wisps of smoke coming from the body's chest pocket spurred Josuke to go into the clothing's pouch. Baby blue eyes widened seeing a small brown tiki charm in his hands but specifically the feathers that were turning to dust.
"A voodoo charm?" The purplette's attention immediately went back to the corpse of his grandfather. His still chest slowly began to rise and fall almost as if⊠"He's breathing." It was the only conclusion Jotaro came to upon the subtle movements. The charm in the teenager's hands fully became ash once his previously deceased grandfather sat up looking purely confused.
"Ooh my head⊠I don't remember my favorite booze having that strong of a kick. Josuke? What are you doing here since I thought you were going out? Who's this guy? And why are you crying?" Ryohei didn't expect to wake up to such a scene or his own grandson to hug him so hard thinking he was about to kick the bucket.
He was quick however to notice the scent of cherry in the air alongside a missing weight in his breast pocket. "Did someone light a scented candle and where did my good luck charm go? Was I mugged or something Josuke?" The elderly man's inquiry had the two younger men share the same look. They needed answers.
/"You want to know who gave me that charm? Well, it was a young girl around my grandson's age. She had green hair, heterochromia with her eyes being orange and blue, and had what looked like a dinosaur skull on her head. Said her name Taki-Taki Bandicoot and came into town looking for ingredients. The charm was based off of a guardian of protection... Aku-Aku I believe she said."/
Information that had both Jotaro and his younger uncle running through the streets of Morioh in a hurry. Ryohei had been put into protective custody with a short call from whoever the raven had pretty high connections to. Something that man would have refused if it wasn't for the fact his son was crying. Josuke only cried when things were at the absolute worst. This made it easier to search without the man being in danger once more.
"I never thought my life would have gotten this insane. First an escaped death row inmate capable of killing his victims from the inside with water and now a Stand User capable of bringing back the dead! Things weren't like this until you came to town!" The highschooler quipped as if to ignore the harsh ache going through his legs.
"Your life was bound to become bizarre the moment you awakened your Stand, no, the moment you were born with Joestar blood. A curse everyone in this damned bloodline has. So don't blame me for the shitshow." Jotaro fired back in absolute annoyance. Their destination was the place mentioned by the woman when Josuke encountered her, Morioh's Springroll Garden.
"Maybe she can remove it? She does know voodoo and it does involve a lot of curse thingies? Do you think Taki-Taki can get rid of my fear of turtles?" The teenager's question was merely met with an eye roll from Jotaro. He was going to shout back an insult until something caught his eyes.
A lone figure standing amongst a large collection of various flora and vegetation belonging to one of Morioh's famous landmarks. More accurately a lonehuman figure and a soft blue floating oddity by them that was very damn familiar to the male clad in white. "There she is and that's the Stand I saw earlier!"
Taki-Taki was currently plucking a few mushrooms from underneath the bushes that provided their moist dark home and placed them into a small straw basket. Springroll Garden was a place where people could pick their vast garden by purchasing a special ticket and take home an entire basket full of items.
"It's kind of cool that the town has such a garden like this. Especially when it guarantees a free basket of fresh goods for first time visitors too!" The luminescent mask said with a big smile while looking at a bush full of white roses. His green haired friend merely let out a chuckle in agreement before speaking. "Same here pal. Makes it a lot easier to find the things needed to work my magic."
A loud shout had the two look up to see some familiar faces running their way. "Wouldn't you know? Hey Pompadour Prince, fancy seeing you here!" Taki-Taki's nickname immediately had the boy stop in his tracks. Face burning in anger until the words finally hitting turned that anger into pure confusion. The sudden confusion didn't stop the mask from cowering behind the greenette.
"Pompadour Prince?" He questioned while pointing to himself, clearly confused. "You kidding? That's the best pompadour I've ever seen. Also, calling you king is going a bit too far since we've barely known each other and aren't in a relationship." Her words caused the male teen to blush a bit paired with a smitten look and cheesy smile.
Jotaro merely elbowed Josuke's shoulder as the highschooler remembered what they were supposed to be doing. "Taki-Taki Bandicoot, we need you to come with us. We already know about you being a Stand User since your Stand is hiding right behind you but also that charm you gave Ryohei Higashitaka before he was attacked."
The greenette merely had a confused look before it immediately narrowed into glare after the words Ryohei Higashitaka and attacked. Her emotions were clearly being felt through the odd mask as it came out of hiding to glare at them. "I knew something bad was bound to happen upon seeing that dark aura. Tell me what you've done to that kind officer before I rip ya putzes a new one!"
Josuke was thrown off guard by the sudden aggression consuming Taki-Taki's features. It was as if a cloak of pure madness just overshadowed that sunny aura of the greenette. The change didn't deter Jotaro who refused to back down at her threat. As if proving his point, a gold aura started to radiate from his body.
"You need to calm down now. We aren't your enemies but I won't hesitate to knock you out even if you're a girl." The man spoke as something appeared from his body like an apparition. It was a humanoid spirit of sorts that appeared to be an Aztec Warrior or barbarian with similar origins.
Just as big and buff as his summoner but a bit more, soft blue skin that outlined a coral inner pink, black hair that flowed like smoke but sparkle as if it was stardust, soft ocean blue eyes and a body armed with white pauldrons painted in gold spirals, black fingerless gold studded gloves, a white scarf around their neck, black knee high boots and a long white loincloth alongside a dark tasset.
Yet, the strange being seemed to only piss off Taki-Taki even further as she went into her pant's pocket to pull out a small crystal orb. "You're going to threaten me with a giant in his skivvies? Alright jackass, hope your ready to party. For this Ooda-Booga Boogie of mine is going to send ya to the hospital!" And she crushed the crystal orb in her hand.
Both men only had seconds until a large blackish pink fist had punched Jotaro's spirit in the face, the ghost and summoner were sent flying out of the garden before kissing the street concrete. Josuke could only blink before seeing the thing responsible for sending his nephew airborne. "Holy shit!" For what stood snarling in front of Taki-Taki was an absolute monster.
A heavily built 9'6 tall slightly deformed anthropomorphic porcupine with vibrant magenta skin overshadowed by a darkish gray hide. A long singular black horn tipped with hot pink, burning crimson eyes that glared down at the man in white, a magenta muzzle overlapped with an giant overbite of fangs, multiple pink tipped black spikes across their back, their right arm covered in black armor in the form of a riot shield, and crimson hakama trousers with a black paw print on the side.
The beast snarled angrily at Jotaro while a trail of drool came down from their razor sharp maw. It then let out a loud and deep inhuman roar almost if challenging anyone foolish enough to face the beast's wrath. Jotaro had gotten back onto his feet, spitting a bit of blood on the road before wiping the remainder from his mouth. Some of it stained bits of his hat a dark crimson. His spirit staring at the beast with an analysistic glare.
"That's one hell of a sucker punch you got there. Quite an ugly bastard of a friend you have, makes me question which one it is though. Is the beast your actual stand or a byproduct of its power?" The question only seemed to aggravate the greenette and the large creature she called upon.
"That 'ugly bastard' is my friend Quill and what is with this Stand garbage anyway?! What I want to know is did you attack Mr. Ryohei?! My charm doesn't just vanish without fulfilling its purpose even if stolen. Now answer me or I'll beat the truth out of you!" Taki-Taki declared with a snarl that held inhumanely sharp teeth.
Josuke didn't have to be a genius to know if he didn't stop these two right now then things were going to get a lot worse. His nephew's Stand went in for a punch while the greenette's large beast followed suit. Neither attack landing their blow as two diamond covered pink hands caught both fists.
The culprit was a giant pink skinned warrior whose body was covered in Corinthian style diamond armor. He was huge with the same type of muscle like Jotaro's spirit, eyes were a bright baby blue that shone through the darkness of the heart top helmet with concern, wires connecting the back of his neck to his back, heart shaped diamond pauldrons with spikes, armor that over lined the side of his arms, legs and back, and diamond plating rings around the fingers.
Unlike Jotaro's Stand or Taki-Taki's giant beast, this one exuded a gentle and kind aura akin to that of a guardian or protector. Something that made sense from the soft magenta aura radiating from Josuke. "Please stop fighting! I don't want to see my nephew or the person who saved my grandpa hurt each other for something stupid!" The pomp prince's words carried strong as they were sincere.
Something the greenette easily felt upon Quill taking a step back as if backing down from the fight since there was no longer any hostility. Jotaro's Stand disappeared soon after while he muttered a soft 'Yare Yare Daze' under his breath. "Holy shit⊠I thought things were going to get ugly there. I don't think this garden deserves to be wrecked by a Spike." The mask's quip not being lost on anyone.
Later at the Higashitaka House, cups of tea were placed on the table. Sitting at the table on mats were Josuke, Jotaro and the odd woman known as Taki-Taki Bandicoot. To their left side strangely enough was the greenette's mask and both men's spirits that were conversing with each other or goofing off upon the playing cards between them.
"I still don't believe that Stands are basically the spiritual energy of someone given form. You sure they aren't warrior ancestors? Jotaro's Star Platinum looks like an Aztec barbarian and Josuke, your Crazy Diamond reminds of those old Greek soldiers from his armor." She said while looking at the three oddities playing Go Fish.
A Scrabble holder was being used for the mask or Lani-Loli's cards since he didn't have any hands. He would ask either Star Platinum or Crazy Diamond to put any of his matching cards down and when he needed to 'fish' a card. "Pretty sure. Couldn't I ask the same thing about Lani-Loli over there? Floating masks that can talk aren't normal either." Josuke quipped while pointing to the mask in question.
"Hey! I'm right here you know and I'm way older than all of you combined! And I would have you know that I was human before becoming a Quantum Mask! If I still had hands I would smack all three of you on the head!" The mask fired back in aggravation, some of the cards disappearing in blue wisps of smoke... alongside Josuke's clothes.
"Eeek!" He panicked immediately covering his crotch, Jotaro hiding his embarrassment under his hat while Taki-Taki turned her head away with face hot red in embarrassment. "Great Tikimon! Lani-Loli! Phase his clothes back now!" The mask quickly undoing his magic in sheer embarrassment. Josuke's clothes and the cards popping back into reality with similar blue wispy smoke.
Poor teen let out a sigh of relief knowing he wasn't nude in front of a girl anymore. "Sorry! Sometimes I accidentally poof things out of existence when I'm stressed! And nothing says stress like an escaped convict who kills people with living water!" Jotaro rolled his eyes at the smartass remark. For an all mighty ancient mask, Lani-Loli was an anxious nerd that was a scare away from passing out.
The reason why they were holed up in Josuke's house was that all of them were targets of the Stand User Angelo and his Stand Aqua Necklace.
Angelo was a psychopath with a taste of madness and penchant for violence. The man was arrested repeatedly for brutal acts like murder and even sexual assault before he was landed on Death row. Sadly his execution didn't work properly, allowing the maniac to escape the morgue and reach Morioh. He attacked Ryohei as the cop was the reason Angelo got arrested.
Due to the nature of his Stand, none of them could use water that came from anywhere but a bottle in fear of accidentally swallowing the dangerous entity. "And when do you think it's safe for us to go home? Unlike you guys, my dad will go nuts if I ain't back soon. None of us want to deal with an angry father much less my pops, Crash Bandicoot." Taki-Taki wasn't blind to the nervous look on the pompadour prince's face while he took a sip of his tea.
"Until that Stand User is caught." Jotaro didn't foresee the spray of tea hitting his face from the greenette's spit-take. The grown man was growling in his seat while the young woman tried to settle down her coughs. "You nuts?! That is the stupidest thing I ever heard and this is stemming from the fact my partner does insanely stupid stuff on a daily basis!"
Lani-Loli had flown over to the table so fast that the card pile dispersed from the sudden gust, much to both Stand's displeasure. "You said this guy's Stand is pure water right? What do we do when we run out of water? Wait, here's a better one! What happens if it rained? Shelter becomes a deathtrap in two seconds!" Both men's eyes widened upon the mask's words.
After settling down her coughing fit, Taki-Taki let out a soft whisper. "I think this is what that putz wants. Turn ourselves into sitting ducks and swoops in for the kill until it's too late. And it's going to rain in three days." Silence filled the room upon that very knowledge. The convict was planning to turn their stakeout into a trap.
Josuke could only sigh at the difficult hand. Sure, they now know the guy's plan but if they ignore it then finding Angelo would be even harder. It also meant that the psycho will find out Ryohei is still alive and won't hesitate to attack him again. "Then let's turn the tables back. Turn the hunter into the hunted." All eyes were on Taki-Taki in seconds.
She had a goofy smile on her face with her tongue sticking out in an impish manner. There was also the fact that another crystal orb was in her hands. An item that produced the monstrous Quill but unlike that one, this jewel was a shade of toxic green. Lani-Loli, upon seeing what his friend held, grew a mischievous grin of his own. The odd duo clearly had a plan that almost made Jotaro and Josuke feel an ounce of pity. Almost being the keyword.
Rain had finally fallen upon the house once three days had passed by. Taki-Taki had called her father about being home a few days late since some issues had cropped up. Neither Josuke or Jotaro heard the man's voice but what they gathered upon how the greenette talked, 'Crash' was kindly lenient. Although, both males would have to see him once she got back home.
They spent most of their time keeping themselves from getting bored. Board games, reading, or Taki-Taki crafting some⊠mysterious concoctions and trinkets with whatever she found in the Higashitaka household. Josuke could honestly admit that he didn't know there was a den of possums hiding in his walls but the witch doctor managed to get some possum fur and nail clippings after one landed on Jotaro.
The greenette at the moment was alone in the bathroom, various ingredients that surrounded a lone bucket. Each item was odd in their own right, rat tails, frog eyes, shiitake mushrooms, yew branches, spoiled milk and a bottle of water. Taki-Taki began pouring the ingredients into the vat starting with the rotten dairy.
She was chanting in an unknown language that eerily sounded like a mix of Arabic and Pig Latin. Bucket began to bubble from her words as the color shifted upon every ingredient dropped into the vat. Taki-Taki's water bottle was currently halfway empty through the process and the cap left abandoned to the side.
Unbeknownst to the woman, rain began to patter outside and something opaque began to build up by the window. It looked like water but it held a more bluish hue and moved too much like a living creature to be normal. Then a pair of sinister pink eyes and a grin full of sharp teeth slithered through.
"You sure this isn't a mango?" Josuke currently sat in the front room alongside Lani-Loli who floated over the teenager's shoulder. Standing on the table was a large orange fruit with a yellow bottom similar to a mango but two leaves that hung from a stem. The teenager currently poking at the fruit that had come from Taki-Taki's home.
"Nope! It's a Wumpa Fruit, a pretty common thing to find on the Wumpa Islands. They're much sweeter than mango and the juice is pretty tasty too. Especially when used for a Wumpa Smoothie, those are really good." Being curious upon the mask's words, the pompadour prince took a nicely sized bite of the fruit.
Tangy sweetness was the first thing that hit the highschooler's taste buds then a rich zesty flavor kicked in a matter of seconds. "Holy shit! This is actually pretty good. Yo Jotaro, you have to try this!" The raven poked his head out of the kitchen upon hearing his name. He let out an annoyed sigh before snatching the fruit out of the teen's hand.
"Did someone put salt in your oatmeal today?" Lani-Loli couldn't help but point out at the man's awfully sour mood added by the harsh bite he took out of the poor fruit or the vicious vice grip. "No. None of you are taking this situation seriously and last I checked didn't get an angry rodent trying to claw up your face." He hissed before taking another aggressive bite.
The sound of footsteps had gotten the two humans and mask turning their heads. Approaching them with an eerily quiet and dead stare was Taki-Taki. Her feet moving sluggishly to the point it was close to that of a sleepwalker⊠or if heavy weights were tied to the woman's legs.
"Taki?" Lani-Loli's voice thick with concern while he spoke his friend's nickname. Her response was to open her mouth slowly with evil pink eyes glaring back at them in the darkness. "Sorry but your little friend's life is now mine!" A vile, raspy and deep male voice coming out of the greenette's mouth, all to the horror of her friends.
"Aqua Necklace?! You bastard, get out of Taki-Taki now Angelo!" Josuke could only burn brighter in rage from the deranged laugh of the psychopathic water Stand. "And get rid of my only hostage?! Hell no! This bitch is the reason why Ryohei Higashitaka is still alive! She has the power to bring back the dead, a ticket to immortality!" The mask could only roll his eyes as if sensing a monologue.
"I've been watching you this whole time. I saw the giant beast she summoned and that mask phasing things through existence. With her as my slave, I'll be invincible! The world will be my toy box and every single person my toys that I can break for eternity! Once you're all dead, I'll break her until she's a mindless bitch who will follow my everyâŠ" The monologue was caught short upon her mouth snapping shut.
Yet, it wasn't the lips that closed the space but an eerie green substance reminiscent to goo. "The hell?!" Aqua Necklace tried to dive down the woman's throat only to run into another gooey green wall. Then he heard laughter. Pink eyes turned to see it was Lani-Loli who was responsible. He was cackling mischievously that tears looked ready to fly from how hard his laughter, much to the confusion of his friends.
"Haha! Hehehehe! You really thought it would be so easy! Taki and I faced way worse than your miserable hide. Oh, and that's not Taki-Taki you putz! Drop the charade Toxic!" Jotaro and Josuke immediately jumped back upon who they thought was Taki-Taki began to melt. All color draining away into a puddle of green slightly clear goo.
Crazy Diamond and Star Platinum were quickly summoned when that sludge started to rise up in the process of a transformation. The slime forming three toed misshapen legs, dripping fat arms with chubby fingers, a large yellow green belly that from its almost clear texture and Aqua Necklace being held inside looked more like a prison, and a roundish hippo like head paired with short pig ears, large deformed inhuman teeth and two alien yellow orbs looking back at it's observers.
The beast or Toxic's appearance could be compared to a 8 ft tall ogre or even an Oni, supernatural beings that tend to punish wicked humans. "Meet the Sludge, a creature made of magic infused ooze with a love for eating utter garbage, like your ugly face! I told Toxic here about your little plan involving my best friend."
Almost on cue, the large oozing beast let a loud snarl before smoke began filling in its tummy. "Aaaaaaah! What the hell is that smell?! It's getting hot in here! Don't tell me this is acid?!" The mask only had a vicious smile on his face that solidified the fact. "People like you make me sick. I've read your entire file and I bet it would even make Uka-Uka himself furious to see your deeds!" Aqua Necklace could only shiver in horror at the mask.
It was like Lani-Loli's nervous self had been overshadowed by pure animalistic rage that his eyes were narrowed slits and teeth were now large fangs held in a snarl. A deity ready to smite a sinner with divine punishment. Even Jotaro and Josuke were taken aback by the sudden shift.
"I may be a scaredy cat but I am still a protector. My name is Lani-Loli, the Quantum Mask of Phase! For ruining the lives of many, threatening my friends and having an unsavory plan for my contractor, I mark you Angelo and his Stand Aqua Necklace, guilty of your sins! And boy do I have a nice punishment for your wicked soul."
The mask then faced the two Joestar blooded men. "Josuke. Jotaro. Taki-Taki left earlier to find this cretin's owner hence my friend Toxic here taking her place. I know where she is and I'm going to need your help with something."
On a street a few blocks from Josuke's house sat a large boulder. This rock had laid on this spot for centuries after a stray storm left it stranded on the land that would become Morioh. Tied to this very stone was an unsavory dark haired man in a milkman uniform bound by chains and gagged with a black cloth. Bruises decorating his body no doubt from the slightly bloody fists of the witch doctor.
Taki-Taki turned her head and smiled upon the sight of her friends coming into view. Aqua Necklace was still trapped within the prison that was Toxic's stomach, who seemed mighty pleased at the abomination's struggle. "Damn, you did a number on the asshole." Josuke said much to the greenette's pleasure.
"I aim to please. Now then, Angelo, since you made a living of ruining people's lives I believe your punishment should be providing good luck." Taki-Taki then pulled from behind the rock was the bucket filled with her concoction. It was a bright bubbling pink and had a smell akin to rotten lavender. She didn't resist dumping the nasty vat all over the convict much to his displeasure.
The man was struggling in disgust before his movements slowed to a crawl as if his whole body was paralyzed except for his mouth and eyes. Taki then yanked the gag from Angelo's lips allowing the man to speak. "You...crazy bitchâŠ! What have you done?" His raspy dry voice almost sounded like a dying cat from how quiet it was.
"A simple potion made to turn you into an eternal good luck charm for all the folks in Morioh! Bet you now wished that your original execution didn't fail. Josuke, this last part is all up to you. Today you will have to make a choice on how this man goes out." Taki-Taki's eyes narrowed as they glowed inhumanly under the dark cloudy sky.
"Ryohei Higashitaka was the one who put this man in jail and stopped his rampage. In vengeance, this scum tried to rob a righteous soul of his life. As Ryohei's grandson, will you fulfill his task and put an end to the man that escaped the grim reaper's blade? If not, then I will perform the deed with Lani-Loli. What do you say?"
The pompadour prince was a bit off guard by the witch doctor's words. Why would she ask him if he wanted to be the one that dealt Angelo's punishment? "Josuke?! Are you seriously going to let her kill me? Sure I tried to kill your grandfather but if you go along with this bitch's plan then you'll be a killer just like me!"
None of them were blind to the man's false pleas knowing it was a trick to let him go. A rat that will only wreak havoc if given a shred of mercy. Angelo's rants were caught off by a fist breaking both his hand and a chunk of the rock. The shocking thing was that the stone merged and encased itself around the appendage much to the psycho's horror.
"Aaah! My hand!! What are you doing?" Josuke merely ignored the man's painful cries. "You really think that we're going to let you go after all you've done. This town used to be a peaceful place before you came and played with people's lives! So for the rest of your days, you're going to pay back every family that you destroyed! Taki-Taki." The greenette smiled knowing what the young man wanted.
"Let's do this Lani-Loli! Armor up!" The cyan mask flew around Taki-Taki with trails of aqua wispy trails that followed from behind. The mask situated himself onto her back while the ghostly ribbons wrapped themselves around her body. Each wispy streak solidified to form a black jumpsuit of sorts which was highlighted by glowing aqua blue chunks of armor reminiscent of Lani-Loli's crown.
Taki-Taki's eyes were now completely glowing blue while velvet sky blue energy followed through the tattoos on her skin and turned her hair into luminous bluish mist. The sudden change to the witch doctor had the restrained Angelo sweating in terror and nearly pissing himself when Josuke's Crazy Diamond materialized.
"Dorarararararara!!!!" The armored spirit let out a battle cry as both him and the armored greenette let loose a barrage of vicious punches. Each strike was as destructive and fast as machine gun rounds, blowing off huge chunks of the stone and merging to the man trapped in the dead center. Neither of them stopping their assault until every piece of stone had been reassembled.
With one last brutal punch, the stone fragments had fully merged Angelo turning the once human male into a deformed boulder. This new shape of the large stone was a malformed face with wide eyes held in different angles, a large flat nose at the bottom similar to a maui and stress lines just like the person it used to be.
Aqua Necklace, who was still trapped in Toxic's belly, quickly melted away in seconds. No doubt the Stand could no longer survive without the life force of its user, thus following its master into hell. Jotaro could only grimace behind the guard of his cap.
[Morioh Landmark 1: Angelo's Rock. No one knows where this mysterious stone appeared from or why. Despite its unnerving appearance, this landmark is a hotspot for couples both old and new.]
'These three are bat shit crazy and have the strength to back it up. Luckily Josuke has a good head on shoulders butâŠ' The raven's eyes drifted to Taki-Taki, her sludge summon and most importantly Lani-Loli still hanging onto her back. She was conversing with Josuke who took the time to look at her changed form and the living sludge Toxic in rapt curiosity.
'Taki-Taki isn't a Stand User but she's just as dangerous as one. Those beasts, Quill and Toxic, whatever they are no doubt has a connection to her origins. And then there's Lani-Loli. I don't exactly know what a Quantum Mask is but I have a feeling he isn't the only one. Just who are you?'
And that is it! This ended being super long since the story revolves around two whole episodes instead of one. It does take place in the beginning of Part 4 and I wanted to stick as close to canon involving them.
Yes, Taki-Taki can call upon Titans, the enemies normally found in the Crash of the Titan series. Unlike a large chunk of people, I actually like the Titan games. They were the first Crash games I played and 100%. I did play Crash The Huge Adventure for the gameboy advance but it got destroyed in the wash sadly before I got the last crystal.
Any version of Crash of the Titans is good but I suggest playing the DS version of Mind Over Mutant considering the console version is more of an annoying chore with tons of backtracking.
My favorite Titans are Spike and Rhinoroller. I especially love the boss version of Spike from the DS Mind Over Mutant but I haven't found the concept art of it yet.
Just like a witch doctor, Taki-Taki does craft all sorts of potions and charms. The Aku-Aku charm acts like a second chance. If someone who has the charm experiences death, the charm will revive them. Deaths done through murder are a bit different.
The charm will hold onto their soul until its safe to revive the holder. Any extensive damage is done and the soul is returned back to the body once repairs are complete. After use, the charm will disintegrate or dull out depending on how much damage was caused.
The Phase Armor given by Lani-Loli is much different for Taki-Taki when she uses it. Reason for it is that she's contracted to him thus the power and magic he provides is much stronger than someone who doesn't have a contract.
Even if Lani-Loli is quite a skittish character, that doesn't mean he won't get serious when needed. Angelo did a lot of horrible stuff that I bet even Uka-Uka wouldn't do. Uka-Uka may be evil but he has standards.
I wanted to try a different writing style for this considering Part 4 is more of a murder mystery. So I wanted to introduce particular areas, new landmarks and important information in a traversing to the next scene.
Until next time folks! Tell the world that your unbreakable!

Eibhleann Cyrus
Nearly three hundred years sheâd been wandering through the lands of the Light Realm. While life was never easy in this realm, she did find that it was far more preferable compared to her experience within the Dark Realm. However, there was one difference that continued to bother her in all her years here.
The light realm was, in a word, lonely.
She found that wherever she went, should her identity be revealed, sheâd inevitably be chased out or hunted as a monster. A creature that stalks, deceives, seduces, and ultimately kills unsuspecting victims for its own pleasure.
Two hundred and eighty-nine years of this had worn down her patience, but there was still a small part of her that hoped that she would eventually find someone, just one person really, who could look at her and see a friend or companion.
But she was ever cautious, for even in the Dark Realm one did not hand out trust easily. And ultimately, it was better off not trusting anyone.Â
Eventually, everyone would stab you in the back.
While there had been a few exceptions to that rule, she was nomadic at heart. And she wanted, more than anything, to learn and experience new things and meet new people.
Unfortunately, things never really went the way sheâd planned.
Learning was easy enough, and Scholars on this side were even treated with respect rather than tools for power. Not that that was unheard of, but tools for power was a far rarer sight for scholars than they ever were in the Dark Realm.
However the real challenge for her had always boiled down to the people.Â
People were hard.
Meeting someone new always posed the threat of what they would do when they saw her face or her⊠hairâŠ? Her expectations never seemed to fail her even as much as she wished they did and inevitablyâŠ
They always attacked or ran away screaming.
Still, She held on to hope.
___
Eibhleann stood tall as she entered the small village within The Holds. Her hood pulled over her head enough to cover her eyes, her black bodysuit, pocketed belt and thigh high boots hugging her body in the best way to show off her toned figure. She exuded confidence and sex appeal, while also maintaining an air of mystery about her.Â
She was here for a purpose. Some five years prior, Eibhleann had stumbled upon this place, meeting someone who piqued her interest. Someone whose interest she had piqued as well.Â
He was an Elven man with long ears and smooth, layered hair that was dark in color and was just long enough to touch his collar bones. His high cheekbones, straight nose and sharp chin were smooth and quite handsome and his river blue eyes were kind with a hint of mischief. He stood just over six feet tall and was built for stealth and tracking.
His name was Iolas Ararel and he was a hunter.
When they had first met, he had approached her, intrigued by her mysterious nature, though he did not do so in suspicion as so many others had done. No, he approached her in curiosity. There had been some playful and flirtatious banter between them before she proposed that he find her campsite if he wished to continue their conversation.
And thus began a trend.
She found herself always returning to this village, making her presence known before disappearing into the surrounding forest, waiting for him to find her. The two of them would then talk until the early hours in the morning and she would leave for her next adventure and he would go back to the village to tend to his own duties.
After making her presence suitably known, she left once again to make camp nearby. She would have thought about staying in the inn, however the tight knit community of this place led to a common suspicion amongst strangers. The citizens were never outright hostile, however, as they began to recognize her over the years and the trend that had started between her and Iolas, they felt more and more that she was not to be trusted.Â
She would over hear snide comments of why she continued to come back and that she had something sinister planned. Asking what she was hiding and why, accusations that she planned on stealing their best hunter away.
She didnât really care about them or their comments. All that mattered was the opportunity for her to visit her friend.Â
A gentle smile crossed her features as such a word entered her mind.Â
Her friend.
Sheâd missed being able to call someone that. The ever present loneliness of her travels no longer tainted her days as her travels were now stories to share with someone.
Once she found a suitable spot to make camp, she set up and settled down. It was mid-afternoon. Iolas would not arrive until evening at earliest.Â
Time sped by rather quickly with the help of a book sheâd recently obtained detailing stories and legends of world known heroes and their adventures. She always found herself particularly enjoying reading about the exploits of The Crimson Jasione and her Knight in Shining Armour, seeing where the stories exaggerated things and where they got details wrong. Of course, it was also always fun to add to the stories that she already knew of them as well.
âHope that bookâs not more interesting than I am,â said a familiarly smooth voice.Â
Without looking up, Eibhleann responded in a bored tone, turning the page that sheâd been reading, âOnly if you happen to be more interesting than heroes of old.â He smiled. âItâs been a while, Eibhleann.â âThat depends on your sense of time.â She finally set the book down and inclined her covered head in his direction. âHow are you, Iolas?â
âEh,â he said as he bent to make the campfire, âSame as always: bored. Hunt game for the town, clean it, sell it. Repeat.â He looked up at Eibhleann once again, âWe both know your stories are far more entertaining than mine.â âThat may be so, but that doesnât stop me from wanting to know.â âBullshit, Youâre just being polite and you know it.â He chuckled.
âMe?â Eibhleann asked, raising an eyebrow, not that he could see it under her hood. âWhat in the hell ever gave you that idea?â
âOh, right, sorry. I forgot, youâre the most badass bitch to roam the lands. None can expect you to be polite. Yuck.â He rolled his eyes.
Eibhleann smirked.
âSo, are you going to tell me about your latest adventure or not?â Iolas blew on the embers that heâd created while he waited for her response.
âNo, I donât think I will.â Eibhleann teased. Without missing a beat, Iolas pulled a berry from the pouch on his side and flicked it at her and Eibhleann caught it before it could smack her. She eyed it for a moment, before tossing it in her mouth to eat and telling him about her most recent story..
Iolas finished with the fire and pulled some meat to start cooking dinner while he listened to Eibhleannâs tale, only interrupting to ask the occasional question.
Once dinner was fully prepared and cooked, he moved to sit close to her, offering her a plate. She easily made room enough for him without moving away, wanting to hold his presence at her side as she accepted his offer.Â
She continued her stories even as they finished eating and he leaned into her. He wrapped his arms around her middle and pulled her closer to him, still listening intently. Eibhleann easily let herself rest against him.Â
By the time sheâd finished telling him of her adventures, Iolas was playing with the hem of her cloak while he held her against him and she was watching in mild interest.
âTell me why I canât join you again,â He said quietly at the end of her tale. His voice was soft next to her ear. He moved as if he wanted to nuzzle against her hood, but stopped himself before he did. By this time, he knew better. As much as he wanted to, he knew not to touch the hood itself.
She sighed. âWeâve gone over this.â âSo, go over it again.â âNo.â She sat up, turning toward him. He was reluctant to let her go, but did anyway. âIâm fine travelling on my own, and⊠There is a lot that I donât tell you about. Enough that. Well,â She looked at the ground, her voice going soft, âTravelling with me is a lot more dangerous than you might think.â
He reached over to take her hands in his. âEibhleann, I donât care about the danger. I can take care of myself. You know that. You also know that, in part, itâs the danger that appeals to me. Iâm bored out of my mind here andâŠâ he reached up to gently touch her face, â...I want to stay with you.â
Her hand came to rest on his wrist, gently pulling it away. âYou have no idea what you would be walking into, Iolas. I⊠I canât put you in that position.â She pulled away from him completely and wrapped her arms around herself.Â
Iolas moved to kneel in front of her, gently taking her arms so she wouldnât turn away again. âYou wouldnât be. I would. Please, Eibhleann, let me come with you. I donât know how much longer I can fare only seeing you for a single night at a time.â She looked down at him, her eyes and face still hidden within her hood before she shook her head. âYou donât even know what I look like. How could you trust me?â âWhat you look like doesnât matter to me.â His hand came to her chin, his thumb gently stroking her cheek âI already know that you are beautiful. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you.â
Her heart stopped for just an instant. Was that
âPlease,â he whispered, pulling his hand back down to her arm.
She slowly set her hands to rest on his cheeks. Her heart dared to hope, dared to dream, that maybe, just maybe, this was what sheâd been seeking. This man who knelt before her.Â
She leaned down to softly press her lips to his for the very first time. He took in a deep breath, his grip on her arms tightening just so before she pulled back, ending the kiss.Â
âOkay,â she whispered against his lips. Then, she stood up and moved toward her tent, leaving him by the campfire. Just before she entered it, she turned to face him once again. âBut first you have to get your affairs in order. Iâll be gone by morning, but Iâll come back in a month. Weâll leave together then.
His whole face lit up but before he could rush to her for another kiss, sheâd disappeared into her tent, a clear dismissal. She listened as he put out the fire and ran back in the direction of the town.
Being alone once again, she questioned herself. Was this truly a good idea?Â
___
Over the next month Eibhleann thought long and hard about Iolas and what was to come. She was so distracted that she found herself chased out of two towns before she hid herself away in a cave.Â
Even as much as he said he didnât care what she looked like, she knew that merely by the nature of travelling with her, heâd eventually find out. And she was afraid of how heâd react if she didnât come clean to him. Especially considering the fact that by travelling with her, he would likely be accused of being a monster by association. People would think him evil just as they thought she was.Â
The very thought of telling him scared her, though. And she didnât know how she would or what she would say. She didnât know what to expect when she did tell him⊠because ultimately, she had to tell him.
How would he react? What would he do? What would he say? Regardless of her fears, she knew one thing: She was not going to start their journey together under a veil of deception.Â
When the month was finally up, she went to the same spot that sheâd made camp on her last visit. This time, however, she kept her things packed and ready to go while she waited for him.
As the sun was setting, she heard the rustle of underbrush that signalled Iolasâs arrival and she took a deep breath.
It was time.
She turned in his direction and as he sped up to embrace her, she stopped him short, holding her hand up.
âWait,â She said. Her voice was quiet but determined. It held the authority that halted any attempt to argue. âI will not take you with me without telling you the truth first.âÂ
Iolas pulled his brows together, âEibhle-â âPlease. Iolas, it would not be fair to you to start our journey without you knowing what you are walking into. Please donât say anything until Iâm done.â She waited until he agreed before she continued.Â
âI am not what you think I am,â she said slowly, âIâm not from here,â She gestured around them, âThe Light Realm, that is. I am not human, nor elf, nor anything else from here. I amâ Eibhleann took another deep breath, âIâm going to take my hood down so you can see with your own eyes what I am.â She paused.
As she reached up to grasp her hood, she froze before doing what she had said she would. âPlease. Donât react,â she requested, her voice small.
Once her face was revealed, her gaze stayed glued to the ground for a moment before nervously meeting his shocked expression. After maintaining eye contact for a moment, she continued.
âI am a Gorgon. Where most have hair, I have snakes. Yes, they do carry venom. No, It is not deadly.â Her breathing was shaky.
âI came to the Light Realm to learnâŠâ And she explained herself and her story. She told him of her scholarly ambitions and how they would be used in the Dark Realm. She told him of her hopes and of her concerns.Â
And after a while⊠She stopped talking.Â
She watched him carefully and was not surprised when his shock did not disappear and his confusion did not let up.Â
He stared at her, unspeaking and unblinking.Â
When it was clear that he had no words and no response, Eibhleann pulled out a talisman from her bag. âIâll give you time to process what Iâve told you. If you decide that you still wish to join me on my journey, you need only write to me. Thisâ she set the talisman on a nearby bolder, âwill deliver the letter directly.â She straightened and took a step away. âIâll understand, though⊠If you decide that this is too much. If you choose to hate me⊠Iâll understand. You merely need not use the talisman and youâll never see me again.â
With that said, she took her bag and left the clearing.
___
Eibhleann sat in front of the fire of her campsite, working on replenishing her talisman supply. It was getting late and she was going to turn in for the night once sheâd finished. She found it mildly difficult to focus while her mind was miles away.
A noise brought her from her thoughts and before she could react, a letter dropped in front of her, landing right on top of her notebook. She stared at it for a moment before slowly setting her pen down to take the letter.Â
Her talisman was neatly attached to the folded paper.Â
Iolas
It had been nearly six weeks since Eibheann had come clean to him. She had been prepared for a long wait, for that wait to stretch into eternity. But that had not stopped her from still hoping that heâd eventually send for her.
And here, letter in hand, that hope swelled.Â
Slowly, she turned it over to open. In elegant handwriting, she read his summons.
Eibhleann,
I write to you tonight with thoughts of the woman that Iâd gotten to know over these last years. I think on all of those nights that we spent talking until the sun rose. I find myself longing to have that once again.
I know now, no matter how any of this plays out, everything has changed. And I know that it would still be the case had you not revealed yourself to me.Â
I would like to ask you to return to the meadow where we last parted. Iâve had the time that I needed to think things over and figure out what it is I wish to do and how Iâd like to proceed. So, please, whenever you are ready to talk, Iâll be waiting patiently for you.
Iolas
She dared not breath for a moment as her heart pounded in her chest. He was asking for her return. Did this mean that heâd decided to remain with her? Or did he merely wish to talk?Â
Either way, she found herself relieved. Relieved that he had sent for her, that she didnât have to wait. She was surprised that he hadnât taken longer to make his decision, but her heart was full just knowing that he had. And his decision was to see her again.Â
Even if it was merely to have one last conversation to say goodbye.Â
With that, Eibhleann put her things away and turned in for the night. In the morning, sheâd set out once more to the familiar forests within The Holds.
___
The sun shone through the break in the forestâs canopy, washing the meadow in a brilliant afternoon glow. Eibhleann stepped through the underbrush, taking in the familiar sight of the little clearing.Â
She spotted Iolas pacing through the short grass on the other side, relaxing at the sight of him.
âIolas.â
He stopped at the sound of her voice and looked at her. âEibhleann.â
She started toward him, but stopped herself when he raised his hand.
âWait. Please.â His voice was quick at first, but then it softened. âI⊠Please remove your hood. Iâd like to see your face⊠before we talk.â
Eibhleann was quiet for a moment, taking in his request, before slowly moving to do as heâd asked. She looked to the ground, afraid to see his face just yet. Once her hood rested fully upon her shoulders, she allowed her eyes to meet his.
He took a step forward and his shoulders seemed to relax when she mirrored his movements. When he spoke again, it was quiet.
âIâm relieved that you came back.â He took another step.
âIâm relieved you sent for me.â She followed his lead.
âI couldnât not⊠ItâŠâ He watched her as she matched once more.Â
Upon the moment her foot made contact with the ground on this third step, a flash of magic from a paper talisman engulfed her and her body froze, unable to move. She was nothing more than a living statue. Her eyes widened as he seemed to relax.Â
Sheâd been trapped.
âIt wouldnât have been right,â he continued, his voice growing more confident as he spoke.Â
âIolas, wha-â
âTo let you go free. To let you prey on another small village.â
âWhat are you-?â
âWhat did you think was going to happen, Eibhleann? That Iâd just let you disappear? What was the plan?â
âPlease, Iolas, you have to-â Eibhleann tried to get him to listen, but he continued to speak over her.
âTo pick a small village, seduce their best hunter away from them, and take control of it once youâd killed me?â He continued to move closer to her, his posture grown more threatening by each step.
âWhat? No! Please, just listen. You donât understand-âÂ
âOh, I understand plenty. Youâre quite cunning. But I wonât let a monster like you harm anyone else.â At this, he pulled out a dagger closing the distance between them. Tears began to build in Eibhleannâs eyes. âWho knows how many countless others have fallen to your trap.â Through all of this, heâd kept eye contact with her, allowing her to see that he believed every word he spoke.Â
âIolas,â She near sobbed, âPlease, you donât know what youâre talking about. That wasnât it at all.â
âEnough,â Now, standing right in front of her, he gripped her face, covering her mouth so as to prevent her any further talking. âIâve heard all I need from you.âÂ
Despite his hand being in the way, Eibhleann still tried desperately, the tears in her eyes finally spilling over.
His gaze softened just so, as did his voice. âDonât worry, Iâll make this quick.â
He lifted the dagger to her throat.
She closed her eyes, a sob escaping her once more.
His muscles tensed, ready to slice right through the skin of her neck.
She opened her eyes, meeting his gaze.
He froze.
Try as he might, his muscles would not move, the magic in her eyes finally released after sheâd held it back for so long. He was frozen, just as she was, staring into her eyes.
Blood trickled down her neck.
âWhat is this?â he demanded, enraged by the unexpected turn of events. âWhat have you done to me?âÂ
The fact that his hand was still held to her face angered him further as she was rendered unable to answer his demands. Despite this knowledge, he continued to question her and as his frustration built, his voice grew harsh and his words unforgiving. He watched as she cried, still unable to escape him.
When the tips of his fingers and his toes grew numb and began to turn grey, fear entered his gaze.Â
âWhatâs happening to me?â Panic laced through the fury in his voice. This was not how this was supposed to go. âWhat are you doing? Fuck! What is this? Bitch, answer me!âÂ
Her tears soaked his hand as she watched him turn to stone at an excruciatingly slow speed, as she listened to his terrible words all the way until he could no longer speak.Â
Neither of these hurt her more than the pure hatred in his eyes when, finally, it was over.
The meadow was silent save for her own voice as she screamed in agony into his statued hand, frozen by his spell.
As time remained as still as she, her sobs slowly died along with her heart. When, at last she was released, she removed herself from his grip, careful not to cut her neck further from his dagger, she took several steps back and let the last of her sorrow give way to anger.Â
âA monster, huh?â She mumbled under her breath. Then, with conviction and determination rising within her, she gazed once more at the statue that was once the man sheâd loved. âIâll give you a monster.â
With that she picked up a nearby fallen tree limb.
When she left the clearing, it was barren save for rubble littered across the ground.
-----------
So, this is the backstory of my current Dnd Character. Sheâs tough and sassy and just an all around badass bitch. But she also cares more than sheâd ever like to admit, and she loves far deeper than even she is aware. I love her so much and I have so much fun playing her.Â
Weâve been on a bit of a break over Christmas, and I really canât wait to play her again here in a couple of weeks!
