BEAT THE FIRST GYM LEADER IN POKEMON DESOLATION LETS GOOOO you dont understand. in this game the gym leaders have six pokemon. amazing coverage. held items. they use at least one potion. AND HE SET THE FUCKING GRASS ON FIRE.

so idk how to explain it well but some areas have "field effects" (i think dont actually quote me) so think of how you get grassy terrain after using a grass move in dyanmaxing? yeah. except its just like that. so a cave will strengthen your rock moves. or a grassy area "in full bloom" will heal your pokemon *if* theyre touching the ground or soften ground moves. or power up fire moves because grass is flammable.

But wait it gets better this guy uses flare blitz- a fire move that throws fire around? - and sets the damn grass on fire. now we're in a blaze terrain. which if youre not fire and your pokemon is tocuhing the ground you take burn damage every turn and yes it powers up fire moves. Might also weaking water idk i didn't check.

so this asshole has that going for him but hes got great coverage despite being the fire type gym leader. His first pokemon out is a vulpex. it sets up the sun, sets fire to the grass, and then babydoll eyes.

then he sends out pignite - fire/fighting with a rock move incase you thought you could bring a bird into this. then torracat (sp idk litten evo) dark/fire - has a fighting move.

Thats TWO starters btw and pignite is a final evo but not even his ace.

Thats talon flame or. hold on lemme check yeah talon flame. fucking flying fire, with steel wing.

also if thats not a pain in the ass enough. pignite, torracat, talonflame all have fucking flame charge ehich they will do at least once at the start to ensure theyre faster than you Regaurdless of your pokemons typing.

oh and hes got a magby which would be nbd except its hidden power is electric.

then laughably - because every pokmeon was a higher one than the one before it starting at 15 and then going to 17 talon flame - his final pokemon is a level 15 carcoal.

oh btw the level cap is 20 for the first badge. your pokemon supposedly will *not* obey you once they cross that. dont know didnt test it but considering in the other games they go so far as to have candies that are functionally the opposite of rare candies that you can just buy im willing to bet its true.

so. just started pokemon sage. thats cool.

pokemon pathways needs to give me a little more direction because it took me like half an hour to figure out how to get my starter.
